"In an October interview with Elle magazine, always the hard hitting interviews for the Democrats. Sloughing them in a prone position. Vice President Camel. Harris apparently appropriated an anecdote for his told by civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr when he was interviewed. Excuse me when she was interviewed by Elle magazine. For a feature piece. What else would it be? That was published in October at the height of the 2020 presidential election. When you're Democrat, you make up stories. The news media never checks and they never vetted. They just vote for you and they slobber and they Perform acts of journalistic gratification. Harris has repeatedly boasted of her parents involvement. The civil rights movement, the 19 sixties coming from India and Jamaica there to complain as soon as they got here, l interviews she recalled, accompanying them to March is as a toddler in a stroller. Senator Camel Harris started her life's work a young Writer Ash Lacy Ford led off the peace with she laughs from the gut. She cackles like a loon is what you mean the way you would with family after drinking 14 beers. She remembered being wheeled through an Oakland, California civil rights march in a stroller civil rights. March was over. She's not that old. I lived in Berkeley. It was California in the seventies, you know, really wasn't a tough place to be. With no straps. I love this civil rights march in a stroller with no straps like she's like, you know, evil can able over here and her parents and her uncle. At some point, she fell from the stroller dot dot dot The adults caught up with caught up in the rapture of protests. The rapture it was that it was the end days of the rapture sexual It was unbelievable. The rapture of the protest. Just kept marching. This is the story that her daughter and got her parents and her uncle. She's in a stroller, but they didn't strap her. And now she likes to be strapped him on and on her bed that she fell out of the stroller, and they just kept marching. That's what it says. It says caught up in the rapture of protest just kept marching. By the time they noticed little comma LA was gone and doubled back. She was understandably upset. She's a toddler. She fell out of a stroller, and they just kept marching because they were caught up in the rapture. Now, if you're buying this story, you're a moron. All right, You have a one digit I Q. My mother tells the story about how I was fussing, Harris told the magazine. And she's like baby. What do you want? What do you need? I just looked at her and said, we dumb And it's spelled F W E D O m We done Okay, so she's Elma Fudd, and she's hunting wabbit. In the interview resurfaced on Monday on Twitter Angles. Freddie making fun of Karl Marx is financier and co author Frederick Angles and and Trade Demise. Contributing editor the Canadian publication. McLane's I said. Wait a minute. This story is just like one, Martin Luther King told in a 1965 interview in Playboy. Playboy magazine. Martin Luther King was interested in the ladies. He liked the ladies. Fact I met a woman once, who was a CBS news journalist who was famous for having had sex with Martin Luther King. But never mind that And here's the Playboy magazine 1965 interview with Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr said. I will never forget moment in Birmingham when a white policeman accosted a little Negro girl, seven or eight years old, who was walking in a demonstration with her mother, King said at the time. What do you want? The policeman asked her gruffly and the little girl looked him straight in the eye and answered feed dumb F ee haIf indio and feed them so little girl. She couldn't even pronounce it, Martin Luther King said. But she knew this sounds like a made up story to it was beautiful. Sure the cop is, you know, saying, what do you want, right? That's that sounds improbable, but okay, we'll go with what I'm okay, said She couldn't even pronounce it. But she knew it was beautiful. Many times when I've been in sorely trying situations, the memory the memory of that little one has come into my mind and has buoyed me. Right now. I'll take the story from Martin Luther King. But the story from Camelot Harris is complete fiction. Her idiot PhD college professor parents who came to United States from India in Jamaica, so they could complain about us, Uh, dropped her out of her stroller. And they were so caught up in the rapture. The rapture, mind you. Of the protest that Oh, hey, what happened to our kid? We lost our kid again. And then they doubled back bed because she couldn't stand up. No, but none of the surrounding people helped because they abort Children. They don't help them up when they fall out of strollers without strap and that club her over the head a few times and throw her into a wood chipper something But the note that nobody noticed. You just fell off. The stroke has big civil rights much This is a lie. This is what we call a lie because she is knowingly telling untruth. She's making this up. It's completely absurd. It's it would be laughable. If it were funny, But instead of being funny, it's corrupt and dishonest and pathetic, and she's a liar and everybody knows it. So we got that going for us, right? Yes, we do. Yeah, Yeah, yeah, Let's go to where we want to go now, Michael. We got a number of different things we wanted to hit on I, You know, the Wheeler may have to take a now let's go to Wheeler. Let's go. Ted Wheeler is the mayor of Portland, Oregon, which has eyes now have failed the city. Largely thanks to Ted Wheeler, a liberal Democrat. A leftist a moron. And he's allowed his city to be sacked and plundered and looted and destroyed and burned and raped and pillaged for the better part of a year by all these left wing and teeth, US stink fest, people who burn everything and Trump protesters always peaceful and here's Mayor Ted Wheeler. He has He started to get a beat on things, and he thinks now it's timeto have a little bit of law and order in Portland. Why would a group Of largely white, young white and some middle aged men from their black works, But he said they were black, destroy the livelihood of other people who are struggling to get by just occurring to you now. Is the just occurring to him now, after the city is already a burning, smoldering hole, Ted Wheeler on Ben, he here he comes. That's there's not a Democrat out there. That's had an original thought in 50 years, And here's another example. And it's been hard for me and for others you're in if you accept the reality that there are just some people on this planet. Who are bent on criminal destruction, that there are some people who truly just want to watch the world burn just to truly just wanna watch the world burn. Well, that, of course, sounded familiar to all of us because we have a functioning memories. And in a motion picture called Batman. The butler named Alfred. Of course, who's played by Michael Caine. Michael Caine was playing the butler Alfred Independent man movie and a kid. Willis told his line. Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money..

"Monday morning, America's first news continues. It is the fifth day of October. And ah, President Trump. This is what we do and do not know about the president's diagnosis. The White House physician's comments Sunday. Um, made the diagnosis having a new layer of confusion, even as a doctor sought to clarify contradictory statements that he made the day before. Dr Sean Connolly said the president was given a steroid after his Blood oxygen level had dropped suddenly twice in recent days, but he is quote continue to improve since then. Still, the president's medical team continue to judgment Dodge many questions such as the impact of the disease. On the president's lungs. Dr. Sean Connolly, admitting on Sunday that he left out a key information a day prior because he wanted to paint Ah portrait of Positivity Senator Mitch McConnell, announcing on Saturday that the Senate would not meet his planned this week after three senators tested positive for Corona virus, But he did indicate that Republicans would press ahead to confirm a judge Amy Cockney Barrett, to the Supreme Court. Without delay. So with the president hospitalized with Corona virus, Of course, vice President Mike Pence becomes the public face of that campaign. White House National Security advisor Robert O'Brien, saying a transfer of power is not in the works. Right now the executive power well on his status. I spoke with the chief of staff this morning and the good news is the president feels very well and he actually wants to get back home to the White House and get back to work. But I think he's going to stay at Walter Reed for atleast another period of time. Look, I went through this virus myself as you know, Margaret over the summer, And even if you have no symptoms I was I had a very, very minor symptoms Day 78 you know, or the critical days, so I think the doctors want to make sure that they're there. They're there for the president and that he's in the best treatment. Nobody's doing well. I spoke with, um, to answer your question. On Friday, I was in Geneva, holding some talks with the Russian team. The mike my counterpart, Uh, General Patrushev, and I was able to call the president after he was tested positive to get given an update on the talks, get his feedback for the afternoon sessions that he was in good spirits. That audio courtesy of CBS, The vice president will begin the campaign on Well, I'm sorry vice President he won't begin campaigning has been campaigning. Hey, will debate though his opponent, Senator Camel Harris on Wednesday Pence will be asked about leading the Corona virus task force and safety protocols as well as the president's health. With the status of the second debate between the president and Joe Biden still up in the air. Now, Biden says he still wants to attend that debate. If it's still goes through. He called the president's diagnosis, eh? A reminder. I like to start by acknowledging which I'm sure All you do is well sooner my prayers for the health and safety of the first lady and president of United States after they tested positive for covert 19. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm still Derek Hunter. This is still Derek 100 show they have yet to take it away from me. Probably because The name. The name kind of makes me stick way. We are joined now by Congressman Andy hairs Maryland's loan, saying member of our delegation To Congress to talk about what's going on down in Washington. Now you doing, Congressman I'm doing fine there. Appreciate you coming out before we get to the Corona virus Relief bill that seems to have Democrats at each other's throats as talking about the The big peace treaty that was signed the recognition of Israel by Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates and the prospect of other countries to come. And there's how wrong the left Wass in predicting about President Trump moving the embassy to Jerusalem. Can you give us a little perspective of how big a deal? This is? Well, it's huge. I mean, you know, I think the only thing that would compare to it is when you know Egypt and Israel signed peace you know, decades ago. The bottom line is this is a huge step forward in solving What many people few years ago thought was going to be the hottest spot in the world, the Middle East and this is significantly cooled it down, and it's unbelievable that you know, the speaker of the House calls it a distraction. This's a monumental achievement. That Democrats couldn't do because they always wanted to include Palestinian terrorists at the negotiating table, and that's that's just a different approach than what President Trump took, which worked. Now it's a testament to how much the world has changed since the late early eighties because Sadat was assassinated over signing that deal with Israel. Congressman you Down in Washington, Nancy Pelosi said Congress is not going on a session. Until there's some kind of deal reached on Corona virus relief, the 3.4 point five or whatever number version it is. But it seems to me that there is division not only amongst Democrats and Republicans but real division in the Democratic caucus because people's extended or benefits, the unemployment bonus. Whatever you want to call it has expired. There are lots of popular programs there helping people right now that have got that have expired that have got Democrats nervous. Are we going to see a deal and what are you seeing down there as Faras? Democrat in fighting over the playing of politics with this sure, look, a lot of the district that Mr Trump won but have a Democrat congressman. Those Democrats very nervous because they know that Chuck Schumer rejected a extension of unemployment benefits until December, you know, rejected a PPP extension rejected over $100 billion going to Make school safe so people could so students could go back to school. You know, You can't explain that to the electorate like why would you reject? You know, take that and then move on from there. So I think they're very nervous. And of course, the speaker is holding out for a $3 trillion bill. Which is completely unnecessary, is a liberal wish list of Expos about spending when the Senate bill, even their skinny bill, I think is what we need right now. Let's go on with the election and, you know, see what the American people think. What is the hesitant of Democrats to say? All right, this is what we agree on will go with this. And then we'll fight about the rest later. Is it just that they'd much rather have the rest and they're using what everybody ostensibly grease on as cover is a delivery device. Well, I think you know what I think. I think NASA close He's making a miscalculation here. You know, she's dug in on a $3.5 trillion package when we know that $650 billion package in the Senate, by the way, which recycled $350 billion unspent from earlier packages. I mean, we passed packages that we just Too much money for something we have 350 billion left over the Senate bill takes what unemployment insurance to the end of the year. It takes extensive PPP program, and it provides Not only money for vaccines and health care, but also 100 billion for schools. That's really all we need. Let's get it over with. Let's do it. Go to the elections and see how this plays out because I do believe that we're gonna have a vaccine sooner rather than later And then the everything begins to wind down Once we begin to administer that vaccine, the high risk people On the issue of the vaccine before we get into the sooner rather than later and aspect as a doctor when you saw Senator Camel Harris, Joe Biden's vice presidential pick. Sort of cast doubt on the possible validity of a yet to be approved vaccines, saying not not coming out and saying she would take it saying she wouldn't trust anything out of the Trump administration. What does that do? There's already a problem in this country with people who are suspicious of vaccines, but something like this is so wildly important that in order to get our country back on track. What is it? What message does it send when somebody in her position is sort of pulling the concept and walking away, saying, I'm not sure I would take it? Well, I think the message is that this is all about politics. It's not about what what what say, what's effective. This about Camel Harris playing politics with this, and this is this.

"Luca, senior policy analyst at the independent Women's form, and she was asked about Democratic vice presidential candidate, Camel Harris. When it comes to the Senate and California state record of Camilla Harris. What issues concern you the most about her record worker's rights number one, and, unfortunately, her criminal justice record, I think number one everyone who's looked at from the criminal justice side. The fact that she has promoted being a top cop. Well, that's a great law and order is important. We want to ensure that if you were breaking the law That you are that you're held accountable. The question is when you look at her record, whether she has in certain cases withheld important evidence against people being prosecuted, whether she's prosecuting individuals for crimes that they didn't even commit. I mean, prosecuting parents for truancy I get. She wants to keep kids in school. But are you really for the black and brown people? If the people that are going to be charging targeted by that policy are black and brown people From a worker standpoint. She supported California's 85 LA, which is where we hits at independent contractors, eliminating thousands, potentially millions. If this has made federal policy, independent contractors people like some of the yes that you were talking about one of your previous guests mentioned landscapers. People have their own small businesses, manicurist. Of boy translators. It runs the gamut of vocations of people, regular middle class Americans trying to build their own lives. Suddenly because of laws like that, that Kamala Harris supported would see those opportunities disappear. So those are just two examples of things that I find, and I think we find concerning about Kamala Harris, and if she were president Of the types of policy issued push forward on Patrice on Luca with the Independent Women's Forum on Friday mornings. Washington Journal on C Span and join us every morning live at seven Eastern for another Washington Journal. Even with the 2020 campaign in full swing, some pollsters are already looking to 2020 for a Canadian firm surveying Americans for the top choices for Democratic and Republican nominations if Joe Biden nor Donald Trump listed his options And hear the results. On the Democratic side. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo leads with 21% just ahead of Senator Camel, Harris was 19%. Governor Cuomo was on a conference call with reporters today and was asked about it. Pole. It was shocking to me, frankly. You know the other people in the poll all ran for president. I don't know if you've noticed, but I didn't run for president. They were all bona fide presidential contenders. They would basically the slate that ran thiss past time. So Uh, it was shocking to me. I think what that is, is ah, well, it must be from the briefings. And from what New Yorkers did on Cove. It And Ah, I applaud New York er's and I think it's it's ah, reflective of The actions that New Yorkers took Ah and possibly my rapier wit. On DH, just stunning sense of humor, which I'm sure you would attribute it to Nick, but I think that's what it is. But it was. It was shocking to me near Governor, Andrew Cuomo on a teleconference that pole again from a Canadian firm on the Republican side of the 2024 presidential nomination preference. Top choice, Senator Mitt Romney, with 30% then vice President Mike Pence at 18%. By the way, Governor Cuomo. Focusing today's call on the same subject is he has on Most of the news conferences he's held the past couple of months. The Corona virus, he said. New York is seeing less than 1% of all Corona virus test returned positive for seven straight days and he said, We have to protect the progress. But he also announced that in New York City soon the opening of museums bowling alleys and Jim's a long awaited vote today in the United Nations Security Council on a U. S sponsored resolution to indefinitely extended the arms embargo on Iran. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, traveling in Vienna, asked about it during a news conference with the Austrian foreign minister. We've been. We've been.

"Politics. this Tuesday, August the 11th This is Washington today on C SPAN radio. I'm Steve Scully. Here are some of your headlines. The ticket is set. Biden Harris as the presumptive Democratic nominee chooses his one time rival, Senator Camel Harris as his running mate. That story is just ahead. On Capitol Hill, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell calling for the Trump administration and congressional Democrats to restart negotiations on 1/5 Corona virus deal. This after talks collapsed late last week. The Big 10 conference in Pac 12 today announcing that they have cancelled its fall football season two major college football conferences, slashing plans amid the Corona virus pandemic around the world. We've seen the number of covert 19 cases surpassed 20 million here in the U. S. It's just over. 738,000 cases with the death toll in our country now just over 164,000. The story shaping Washington today It's all ahead on C SPAN radio and we begin with Campaign 2020. In this afternoon's announcement. The Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, has selected California Senator Kamala Harris to serve as his running mate. She is 55 years old in her first term in the Senate. Served as California's attorney General Kamala Harris is a graduate of Howard University here in Washington and the University of California Law School. Joe Biden is calling her quote a fearless fighter for the little guy and one of the country's finest public servants. She becomes the first female African American on a major party ticket. And late this afternoon, we talked to David, Cantonese political reporter for McClatchy Newspapers on today's announcement. So I think Joe Biden ended where he started. I think she was Long considered to be the front runner to be the vice presidential running mate. And while they went through a ton of options, and I think, kick the tires on a bunch of those different potential options. She made the most sense ideologically, given that she is the center left of the party, but not sort of in that more liberal lane and also bringing that historic diversity to the ticket. Being a black woman. The fact that she ran for president she faced meet his media scrutiny over her campaign. Was that in her favor? I think so. I mean, I talked to Democrats for months about this and they said, it's got to be someone who's been through the process, especially just given how important this election is. Given that you're ahead. You don't need to take a chance. You don't need to take a big risk. You know, Biden has had about eight points nationally, he had most of the key battleground states. So don't make a mistake and the fact that Kamala Harris had been through nationally televised debate had been through dozens and dozens of live television and cable interviews that work to her advantage. Of course, of course, that is often the cardinal rule in American politics when selecting a running mate Rule number one Do no harm. Absolutely. And I think that was the conclusion that the Biden campaign and Joe Biden himself made. I think they were looking at the options. I mean, the fact that Susan Rice, the former national security adviser, and Karen Bath congresswoman from the Los Angeles area, did get serious looks over the last month. But their vulnerabilities you know, came to the forefront as well. And I think Well, the one thing about Carla Harris, but she had an advantage of is a lot of her vulnerabilities had already been aired and she had defended them. That's not to say she's not gonna be challenged. That's not going to be to say that you know there's going to be progressive that are going to be happy with it. I'm already seeing statements. Philip my inbox minutes after the announcement. From some people on the left that aren't happy about it. But no matter who you pick, you're going. You're going to get your going to get some backlash by the job was to reduce that as much as possible like this picture. Sort of does that we're talking with David kidneys of McClatchy Newspapers. How significant was the George Floyd death and the subsequent demonstrations across the country in this selection process? Did that change the dynamics? I'm not sure it changed it. I think it I do think it made it more importance and me. There's more pressure. To take a black woman. You saw numerous groups even before that in June. I mean, as far back as April, you had AH, prominent African Americans say Joe Biden needs to reflect the diversity of the party by putting not only a female on the ticket, but a black female, especially given How the African American vote powered him through South Carolina and into Super Tuesday and saved his campaign and propelled him to the nomination. I think the George Floyd protests definitely definitely enhance that and you got the scent of the last month it was going to be a black woman. You know, any quote bitch are taking herself out of the process. Months back. I think Elizabeth Warren was hurt The fact that she's not an African American woman. So I think the finalists that you saw Karen back Susan Rice. They were finalists, in part because They're black women. And I think Kamala Harris has experience on the national stage. The fact that she had run for office successfully in California one campaigns and then been to the national gauntlet. I think that pushed her over the top. What are you hearing in terms of the rollout? Obviously, the announcement today on Twitter. The convention, which is a virtual convention is beginning in six days. What will happen between now and next Monday, so it looks like there will be some type of public event We're hearing Potentially as soon as tomorrow, potentially like most likely and Delaware, where Joe Biden has been for most, the campaign, there's not gonna be a big campaign tour around the country given Corona virus on DH that the health risks that that surround that so you know, in a traditional environment, you see Biden out of the campaign shirt. Eating all the big battleground states flying into cities flying in airport hangars. You're not going to see that this time. I think there will be some joint appearance with the with the tickets to sort of get that photograph, but it won't be a rally. I don't think I don't. There won't be a lot of people involved, and I think you know most of the country will see. We'll be when I get there, Introduction to Kamala Harris next week during that big convention speech, which will be virtual, which will be online and possibly tape before we, of course, are just hours into this announcement. But one of the criteria is that Joe Biden put forward is somebody who was going to be his own. Biden, referring to his eight years his vice president with Barack Obama. What about the chemistry between Joe Biden and Kamala Harris? So there's a lot of speculation because she launched an attack against him in the first Democratic debate, Um, over segregationist policies, and some people thought that that would have hurt her chances. You know, I think Joe Biden even said during a fundraiser that it was a gut punch that she that she, you know. Not not directly said but insinuated. But you know, Joe Biden was a racist or at least supported a racist policy. Joe Biden is not one to hold grudges, though. I mean, this is a guy who wants to work with everyone, and I think he is genuine in that. Um, you know, I think they probably have long conversations about that during the vetting process. I also think it was hopeful that she was friendly with Bo, the son he lost. Uh, just a few years ago, he was an attorney general. When she was an attorney general. They had worked together on on issues and informed a kinship. And we all know how close Joe Biden was to a son. So I do think that that relationship probably helped her chances given that that was a relationship established way before he was running for president. So today's announcement does not surprise you. It doesn't mean I am the Biden campaign did a great job of keeping from suspended throughout this process, but You know, I think most political observers, political analysts thought Kamala Harris was the most likely person to be chosen is the running mate as far back as you know, when.

He's a good guy in that very bad guy and Perry Mason, but we'll talk to him at 8 30 on DH. Talk about the finale. Well, the world obviously shocked in the past hour or two with the news of the death of Kamala Harris. Seven year old Kamila Harris, Professional wrestler. You didn't tell me his last name was Harris it Wass. You just came in and said, Camilla, is that how you pronounce Kamala has come out whatever eyes K a m a l A. I don't know. His last name was here. His name is Camilla Harris. Or you're saying Kamala She She's three Lankan and she says Camilla. But anyway, that came across Twitter. Kamala Harris dead. And then you go to the next sentence that says professional wrestler at the age of 70. So I have some funny out takes from him if you want to hear, and he's a pretty funny guy. Ah, I don't think they're safe for the air on By the way these get up here. He wrestled in the eighties, right? Yeah. Yeah, even though yes, he's African American. That Stereotypical African Jungle, make up whatever the hell it wass so unacceptable today. Oh, yeah. No, There's no how could get away with that today at all? But you have to understand that wrestling back in the day he was sold in regional territories and he was like he went around. You know, the South and the Midwest. Where a lot of times you know, he he was a big guy who was really scary. And the way they building was this guy that doesn't speak English. She just came straight from the jungles of Africa. And he was he didn't speak. He didn't need to. He was just a big, terrifying guy. But really when you when you see some of the out takes of, um he spoke perfectly fine. And he was very funny. And I guess I should probably get the hell down off my high horse. If I'm lecturing professional wrestling about Polish political correctness, Thie the Iron Sheik has apologized to the entire Middle East from Morocco to Bangladesh for his entire career. By the way, but, yeah. Wrestler Kamala Harris dead at the age of 70 the humming along. Saddened to learn James Harris on by the ways it's speaking of the other common, Herr Senator Camel Harris from California. Perhaps you've heard of her. Her former boss and another stuff. Willie Brown wrote a op ed and the sound So San Francisco Chronicle yesterday, saying she should say no to the VP slot. "Are in an election year and no year feels longer on the calendar than an election year. You look your fury. Oh, boy. The election here is in full swing, and it's dragging and it's dragging and it's dragging. There's only thing one law thing. There's only one thing that's longer than an election year. And that's an election year during a global pandemic. So here we are. We are in August and Joe Biden still has not announced to his running mate. Will be According to CNN. He's heading into the weekend weighing the biggest decision of his presidential campaign so far, and people close to the process tell CNN That the former vice president is believed to have now begun to narrow his personal short list of potential running mates to a handful of women. And more than two dozen interviews with CNN in recent days, members of Congress, top Democratic donors, Biden allies and other close people to the vice president's vetting process, said California representative Karen Bass. The 66 year old chair of the Congressional Black Caucus has gained realtor traction in the late stage of the search. Amid furious last second lobbying in speculation about binds historic decision. The other big choice. The other one. Another person that seems to be in the running. Part of the top two. California Senator Camel Harris. Now. As this vetting process goes on, you're going to start hearing stories about you. These candidates and their past. And one Thing that's coming out about Karen Bass is apparently she made some remarks about the Church of Scientology. Representative Karen Bassett. Top gear can candidate contender for Joe Biden's running mate to be his martini Mai on Saturday sought to clarify remarks she made in 2010 praising the Church of Scientology. This is first reported by the daily Caller. In her remarks, Bass called on treating humans with respect and fighting oppression. Well, I don't think anybody would have a problem with that. But she also spoke highly of the controversial group and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard. The Church of Scientology. I know has made a difference because your creed is a universal creed and one that speaks to all people everywhere, Bass said before an audience of 6000 attendees. That is why the words are exciting ofyour founder L. Ron Hubbard in the creed of the Church of Scientology, that all people of whatever race, color or creed are created with equal rights. Now, of course. Now she has to go back and revisit those remarks. And she said Back in 2010 she was just trying to find an area of agreement with people of Scientology. Now to me, what's more troubling? About Representative Bass is not comments about the Church of Scientology, but she made some questionable comments about Fidel Castro. And it's got Florida Democrats really upset Florida Democrats are in rising opposition to the news. Joe Biden is vetting a running mate who once lamented the death of Common dente and half a Fidel Castro. Now, if you don't know that if you don't speak Spanish That Means Commander in chief, Or if you speak Spanish, and you listen to that and realise I don't know how to speak Spanish and I probably slaughtered that. Mass made those comments about the longtime Cuban leader following his death in 2016 when she respectfully called him commander in chief. And Florida Democratic Party who have spent two years fighting a renewed GOP effort to re branded as Socialists. And the state. And national parties are spending big money in Miami to defend to congressional seats and when to crucial state Senate seats in contested districts with sizable Cuban populations there, pushing back against this because they know That there's a huge Number off Cuban Americans living in South Florida and Praising Fidel Castro, while it may actually be a plus to some of the Democratic Party's base, including those who are currently setting fires in Portland. That does not give AH Cuban Americans in Florida. The warm and fuzzies Now the other Candidate. That Is a front runner is Kamala Harris. Senator from California. Here you have the Democratic Party. Much of its base today. I could to be fair. Could we say They're not law enforcement friendly. They want law enforcement reform. Here you have Camilla Harris, who was once California attorney general You go over her record, and this is according this week that she does disobeyed for years a Supreme Court order to reduce the extreme overcrowding in the state's prisons. Harris took office in 2011. And in May of that year, the court ruled that the state's packed prisons, which had previously reached 200% of their design capacity, or a violation of the Eighth Amendment, they instructed the state To cut capacity by 167% at the end of 2011. It's just he was Hard handed. She she threatened. Parents. With jail time if their kids skip school. I think you could say that she Was pro law enforcement. And pro criminal justice system. Is that going to make The leftist base Furthermore, I asked Will A senator from California. Bring you votes in key battleground states in the Midwest. Is a camel Harris. Going to bring in voters in Michigan and Ohio. Is Representative bass going to help Joe Biden in Florida. He needs Florida He needs Ohio he needs he needs to flip some of these Midwestern states. I'm surprised he's not looking for someone in Ohio or in Michigan. You know, balancing a ticket they used to talk about. Okay? We got a southern presidential candidate Ingrid something from the northern. That's kind of out the window nowadays, I guess but to me. If you want to win..
