Crypto Cafe With Randi Zuckerberg
A highlight from What You Need to Know This Week (September 13th)
"Hello, and welcome to Crypto Cafe with Randi Zuckerberg. I'm your host Randi and in this cafe we embrace newcomers and experts to all things art, innovation and technology disruption. Our new recurring theme of this weekly podcast is what you need to know this week in the world of innovation in 10 minutes. I'm joined each week by amazing teammates from our team at Hug to break it all down for you. If you're not familiar with Hug, I encourage you to check us out at thehug .xyz. Our mission is to democratize access to art using technology and education. We educate people on all of the latest and greatest around AI, digital art, NFTs, you name it. We have tons of free resources and a really loving, wonderful educational community. So again, check us out at thehug .xyz. Each week on Crypto Cafe we provide what you need to know this week to be an interesting conversationalist, to sound smart at cocktail parties and to know everything you need to know in the landscape of AI blockchain, you name it. So let's jump right in. I want to introduce this week's guest contributors. I'm joined first in the Crypto Cafe here by Hug contributor, Tina Lindell, Marketing Manager at Hug. Hello, Tina. Welcome back. Howdy. Hello. It's good to be back. I'm excited. You did such a fantastic job last week that we, you know, Debbie better watch her back or she's going to have a, you know, permanent replacement here on the show, but it's great to have you also joined by Crypto Cafe staple Michael Liddig, Director of Creator Programming at Hug. Hello, Michael. Hello. Hello, friend. All right. So we are going to get into all what you need to know this week in the world of creativity, innovation and technology. And the first is we're going Justin Bieber. I, you know, I have to say that Justin Bieber has been at the forefront of a lot of innovation over the course of his career. But Tina, you specifically want to talk about how he's selling royalties for his song that's coming up as NFTs. Tell us more. Yes. So this is very exciting news for all the Beliebers in the metaverse. We have a writer and producer, Andrea Schuler, AKA Accident is selling NFTs for Justin Bieber's song Company, which was initially released in 2015. There will be 2000 NFTs available, each priced at the equivalent of about $28 in Ethereum with the total sum of those representing 1 % of the streaming rights. Buyers of this NFT get the utility of part ownership to the song streaming rights means that when the song makes a profit, if you own the NFT, you get a little piece of that too. Now, where this brings me where I'm excited is that many people believe that creator royalties are one of the most exciting parts about blockchain technology, which automatically send a percentage of profits from a sale to the creator. While blockchain based royalties have been life changing for a lot of independent artists, there are challenges with marketplaces like OpenSea and Blur not enforcing them. So back to the Justin Bieber stuff, whether you identify as a Selena Gomez or Hailey Bieber kind of girly, it is exciting to think about how these royalties cannot just empower the artist, but also their fans too. So Michael or Randy, what do you guys think of all this? Yeah, Michael, weigh in first and then I'll jump into some thoughts. Yeah, first of all, shout out to the Beliebers out there. I just wanted to say that on the radio. So first of all, second, Justin Bieber is always at the forefront of innovation. So hats off to Justin Bieber. I actually ran the numbers on this because I wanted to really kind of understand what this looked like. So essentially, if you were to buy this NFT, you would get 0 .0005. So three zeros and a five of the percentage of the stream. So let's just run a number. Spotify pays artists about 0 .003 cents per stream. So Justin Bieber has gotten up to 1 billion streams, which means that he gets paid $3 million in royalties. Now the producer has a little bit of share of that. So let's say 20%, around 25 % is going to be around $750 ,000. So if I own that NFT and I'm getting a percentage of these random numbers I just put together, I'm going to get about 375 bucks if there are a billion streams. Now, I think that's pretty awesome. Listen, to pay 20 bucks and to participate in the success of this art piece, I'm all for it. So yes, yes, yes. First of all, I love that we just did a math equation on the podcast right here. I'm so here for that. I know. I feel like that needs to be on a standardized test. It's like, okay, if Justin Bieber sells this many NFTs and there's like this many streams on Spotify, like the most tech savvy math question. But I love this and I love this for so many reasons because we've already seen this real shift towards creative projects being funded through crowdfunding. We've seen movies go to the Sundance Film Festival that have been crowd funded online. And I think this is the next evolution. If consumers are going to put money towards creative projects to help them get made, why not actually have a stake in them and participate in the upside of those projects? So I'm really excited about this and I'm excited for a huge performer like Justin Bieber to be doing it. All right, Michael, on to you. We talk a lot about AI here on this podcast, on my live Sirius XM show, and you wanted to bring an article to the table about how open AI is a little bit failing. So tell us more. Yeah, so basically when ChatGPT launched, all these universities, all these schools were like, oh crap, what are we going to do? No one's going to do their homework anymore. How can we know if someone wrote that article? And they said, well, you know what? We have these writing detectors that can detect that whether it was made by AI. And guess what, y 'all? It doesn't work. They don't work. They're all false positives. So what's happening actually is that the US schooling system is now beginning to embrace AI and ChatGPT. So up to many universities are starting to actually teach ChatGPT as a part of their framework, really looking at, as we talk about on this podcast, AI as a tool, as a collaborator. And so I wanted to bring this to the table, one, so you can just start to encourage your students. Yeah, you can use ChatGPT. In fact, it's going to be how we use ChatGPT. It's going to determine how we use communication in the future. So better get started now. I love it. I'm envisioning like the future greatest writers of our country, like in the principal's office being accused of using AI for their writing. And they're like, no, I actually legitimately wrote that. And they're like, no, human could never write that. Tina, what do you think? Do you think that schools will embrace this? Or do you think that there's going to be really kind of a push pull for a while? You know, this really brings me back to when I was in high school, and we were not allowed to use the internet to write papers.

"Like, I'm so relatable and everyone was like, you look great. A few hours later, Kylie Jenner posts a picture of herself on Instagram stories with the words, this was an accident over her brows. Then the next image on her story is a photo of her brows and Hailey Bieber's brows. When I first walked into this booth and we started recording this episode, I was of the assumption that it was just an accidental picture that Kylie took and was just like, ha ha, this was funny and just posted it. What really tips me off to this being shade was the FaceTime screenshot that Kylie uploaded of her and Hailey Bieber's brows, which I was like, now that's a little weird. I don't know if I like that, but hey, I don't know. Maybe it's just a placement. I don't know. Hey, hey, Stranger Things have happened. Exactly. I feel like some people know what they're doing. But then some people are not as bright and are just stoking the flames by accident, but if we know the Kardashian clan, as you have spoken about on your last episode, they know what they're doing, they thrive off of press cycles. That's how they stay relevant. Exactly. And so I just feel like it's a little too coincidental. There's a little bit too many of these clintons that keep happening. Where some shade is being thrown and then we're immediately backtracking saying, it was just a coincidence. But someone posts this interaction on TikTok, the stories being posted, Selena's eyebrow lamination journey. And both Kylie and Selena comments on it. Kylie comments, this is reaching no shade towards Selena ever and I didn't see her eyebrow posts. You guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly. Selena follows up with a greed at Kylie Jenner. It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie. Sure Jan. Yeah. That's same day. Selena announces she is once again taking another social media break. Wasn't this also on TikTok live when she was getting the little hats put on her? While she was like, guys, I'm too old for this and they put the link. Exactly. She says, I'm 30, and I'm too old for this, but I love you so much. And I'll see you guys sooner than later. I'm just going to take a break from everything. And thus concludes the current saga or as much as we could explain in a 30th 35 minute podcast. So now we have to do the most important part of this podcast, and I have to ask, whose side are you on voices? Are you team Haley? Are you team Selena? Tell me, I'm gonna have to give it to Selena. I definitely think it's a bunch of mean girls being mean to, you know, just another girl who's just trying to grow boss and live her life. Do you have a cooking show? Do you have 381 million followers on? Instagram? No, you don't. Do you have a documentary where it's actually kind of good and really, yeah. No, you don't. Do you have only words in the building? What Steve Martin and Martin Short? No, you don't. So, pack it up Kylie Kendall and Haley. Goodbye. Honestly, I agree. I agree. I feel like being that we know Selena so well. And that she's not a confrontational person. And people just seem like they're attacking her. Because she is in a public spotlight that she does not really get a lot of grace for because of her past relationship with Justin Bieber. So God, I'm exhausted. That took a lot out of me. Same, honestly, I'm ready to go take a nap. I think we can wrap it here. Basically, the moral of the story is fuck Justin Bieber. All right, that is the show. "Similarities. A while ago, Selena Gomez had got this G on the back of her ear. That represented her sister Gracie, her little sister Gracie. And so did Haley, I don't know what the G stands for for her, but so then let's get on this subject too, because this is creepy to me as well. These are all Selena's close friends. They're not like entertainment people. They're like regular people. And obviously they look happy as friends, okay? But yes, I'm going there. I'm going there, watch, watch, watch. Not only did Hailey follow every single one of her friends, I was in that picture with her. She legit hung out with every single one of them. If this isn't giving you single white team or not because she's white but literally the movie single wife female that I don't know what it is. Honestly, you know what, I think it's just time for a Montage. Don't tell me these people aren't directing these little videos or these tiktoks or whatever towards Selena is so obvious. When you get to be my age, it's even more obvious. And like back to Hailey Bieber, girl, Selena get her cooking show, she been having one for how long and now you can cook shown now. You say, okie dokie, like you just created the shit. Bitch box. Like if I was Selena, I'm sorry. They're so much embarrassing evidence on the Internet of Hailey Bieber. I would have just started posting it. To my story, no context. No, no, nothing, just the embarrassing shit. It's not a matter of right person wrong time. Right time wrong person, whatever it was, because it was never put up a big herb pillar bullshit. I just want all of these people to, you know, pop their arm back in the socket because they're reaching so hard. There's a lot of drama that is just speculative. And I think what they're doing is just taking a lot of some of these posts out of context, being like, oh my God, are you seeing this? It's like, it's really not that crazy, but anyways. No, I think you're right. But that's the context for the present situation, which began in January 2023. And the TLDR of this current situation is stop posting. Just stop it. Please. For me and boys. Put for me and boys was the sake. There's too many posts to go through. Yes, the prep for this show today. I was running marathon. I was like, oh my God, oh my God, and the people came over to talk to me. I was like, no, no, no. You shut up. I have things to do. Yes, that's exactly how I feel. Exactly. And the thing is we didn't even cover it all. Again, we didn't even get into the kidney transplant, but anyway, we're in January 2023. She returns to Instagram after yet another social media break. This is also around the time that she's dealing with a lot of fatphobic trolling because a photo of her in a bikini where she looks phenomenal to be clear went viral. And people are like, oh my God, Selena gained weight. And it's like, shut the fuck up. I'm tired of this fucking return to skinniness that we're all dealing with. Fuck all zip. Anyway. Around the same time, Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner post a video with their lip syncing to, you know that TikTok audio that goes, I'm not saying she deserved it, but I'm saying God's timing is always right. It feels shady. That feels shady. You don't just post that without any like for no reason. There's always context behind any TikTok audio. Exactly. And the NEPA baby stick together is all I'm gonna say. Because not according to Haley, when people suggested that she might have been throwing shade at Selena, she responded, I never comment on this type of thing. But we're just girls having a girls night. And they're random TikTok for fun. It's not directed at anyone. I think that you're right that a lot of the other stuff was a reach, but I don't buy that I don't buy that rationale. Also a month after that entire thing happens a video of Haley making fun of Selena's current bestie Taylor Swift resurfaces. And Selena decides to weigh in, saying, so sorry. My best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game. So the flames are being fanned, you know? I'm literally my face is in my hands right now because you know as Selena is a type of person who does not like to stoke drama, she literally just stoked drama by saying this. Like why? Why did you do this? This is why I can't support anyone wholeheartedly because they always just get themselves into more drama than they said that they want and then when they do the thing that they're like, I didn't want this. Girl, it's enough. We know, we know. Exactly. And here's where the eyebrow lamination comes in. For people who don't know, eyebrow laminating is this process that's basically like perming your eyebrows. So you don't have to spend as much time doing them. You like chemically straighten them so they lay in a certain direction. And recently, Selena posted a video saying that she over laminated her eyebrows, which if you have seen the soap brow trend on TikTok where we're doing like kind of really aggressive, almost like Groucho Marx esque eyebrows, that's what over laminated eyebrows look like. So she posts this being like, I'm so relatable and everyone was like, he you look great. A few hours later, Kylie Jenner posts a picture of herself on Instagram stories with the words this was an accident over her brows. Then the next image on her story is a photo of her brows and Hailey Bieber's brows. "Just remember watching the documentary where she was talking about taking some time off and she didn't specifically say exactly what the reason was, but she just talked about making music to get through a hard time. And this was a hard time. And this is where the Halley Selena beef really starts to pick up. The same day that lose you to love me drops, Hailey plus an Instagram story with a screenshot of summer walker song kill you, which of course the Internet seems to think was a response to Selena's song. This is then debunked by Hailey, who says, please stop with this nonsense. There is no response this is complete BS, which will continue to happen in the years to come. We'll get to that. Selena follows up with, I do not stand for women tearing women down because she's a feminist. I will never, ever be by that. So please, be kind to everyone. She added, it doesn't matter what the situation is. If you're my fans, don't be rude to anybody. Please. Don't go off and save things that you just feel in the moment. She's trying. She's crying. Yeah. Some people just don't know the power of their fan base. They don't, and the groundwork is already laid. The groundwork for this feud is being laid brick by brick. Importantly, Selena is also laying the groundwork for a new era, her girl boss era. My favorite era. Same. So over the next few years, she launches rare beauty. Everyone uses it. She starts a cooking show on HBO Max. Everyone watches it. She has a documentary, then Moises has mentioned everyone loves it. She seems to be doing really well for herself. And the drama kind of subsides for a little while. Like Haley and Selena, they like some photos of each other on Instagram. They're photographed together on the red carpet. Haley gives an interview on call her daddy, where she's basically like there's no drama between me and Selena. This is basically like the Berlin Wall coming down. Things seem pretty chill. Well, okay, before we get into what's next, I think we also have to mention only murders in the building. Her best television project besides whizzes away really plays. But things are not chill. They aren't because some eagle eyed spectators start noticing some let's say similarities between some career choices that Selena and Hailey are making us time goes on. So here's a TikTok from et with lady that breaks down a few of these similarities. A while ago, Selena Gomez had got this G on the back of her ear. That represented her sister Gracie, her little sister Gracie. Remember how before the break I mentioned that Jelena had a lot of fans, including Hailey Baldwin. Again, you might be asking, Rachel, how do you know this? The answer is, I know everything, stop asking that question. But the real answer is, because Hayley holas tweeted about this, which is just never tweet. Never tweet, I just feel like right now. Voice was just figured out never to tweet. And now we know Hailey should have never tweeted. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So in May of 2011, Hailey tweets, I'm for sure 100% team, Jelena, then in September 2011, she writes another Julia tweet. She says, I don't care what anyone says, but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together is the definition of a teenage dream, hashtag word. I need to take a moment to remember 2011 and the fact that it wasn't completely out of the blue to see someone tweet out hashtag word. You know what? I'm gonna go and control F right now if I tweeted it. So I honestly might have said some embarrassing shit like that, but at the time I do not remember fondly. It was very embarrassing for us all very much so. It was a bad time. It was a really bad time. These tweets that were mentioning are important, not least because they remind us of that bad time. But because they're used very often by selenators who wish to suggest that Haley is obsessed with Selena. Importantly, we haven't yet mentioned Haley's a nepo baby. I feel like we need to get that out the way. She's the niece of Alec Baldwin. Yeah, I was talking to the person who sits next to me in the office, and she was like, what is she famous for? And I was like, what is she famous for? I have no idea. I literally could not tell you besides her dad being a Baldwin brother. That's it. One of them. I think it's Steven Baldwin. So, yeah, she's famous for being famous, is basically what happened. Which means that when Hailey and Justin get engaged about three months after Selena Justin break up for the last time, a lot of people are like, we're making choices here. The school lunch tables, when that happened. We were shaking. Literally, I was like, guys, do you know what's going on right now? And they're like, what? Who cares? I do. For one, I will tell you, and I'm going to explain exactly why it matters. And I did. And now here I am. You are ready for your career. Yeah, exactly. Haley and Justin get engaged a few months after Selena Justin break up, and then Hailey and Justin get married, a few short months after that. And it's just like, what? This is also around when I think I started tuning in to this saga because I definitely ignored Jelena mostly and then also ignored whatever was happening with Hailey and Justin. But this was this was Justin's Hillsong era. This was his redemption tour era. what a time that was. Around the same time, Selena takes yet another social media break. And I have to say we got you Ruth, but the thing is, we can not just start with the current battle being waged in common sections of Instagram stories and TikTok videos. Because this battle has a long history. It's more of a war. I was gonna say, I was like, this is just a small battle, and a very long war that Selena Gomez has had with social media. So my second question is, how do you pronounce the term for those notifications that you get that tell you whether someone has seen your message? How do you say that? It will determine whether or not you come on the show again. Okay. I would say red receipts. Oh my God. Well, if someone read your message, it gives you a receipt. No. Wouldn't you say? Yeah i mean we were reading page. Six every day was able each one wanted a bigger trailer than the other one. It's terrible. I was started in. Tv a lot of people know you from that. I you haven't unscripted television a long time. Where stephen mardi one of the polls to this or or did you come to it before you knew they were involved it was. I always knew they were involved. But i got a call in and i just i don't know i love truecar. I'm and i had just. I had this. I don't know the concept just was so cool and i enjoyed working with both of them and it's been great it is A show about a murder takes place in a building and three podcast of fans who then both go about trying to sell them the murder and starting a podcast themselves. But you you do come by dishonestly. You are being serious when you say that you liked true crime. I went to crime con with my mom. Okay yes this is very exciting. I did not know the con was the thing nobody does. I don't know why. Well i mean it. Sounds like a place where crime might be committed. You might want to steer clear. Yeah i guess. I can see that again new judgment. I've been to comecon multiple times. Where where was the crime con We went to florida. Okay and by the way tracks yes did realize that 'til no but it's it's wild they give you a case that's still open and and we are able to solve it with them. I mean that so. It's not like okay so this is interesting because it comecon. It's like you know. Oh they're you know they're selling comic art over here old back issues there. This is a one crime. It crime basically meeting with the forensic team. You're meeting with the family members. They give you all the depositions. I mean it's completely legit. I thought i was a full-blown like crime solver. I felt like i was going to solve the case. Do you feel like you were better at it or your mom was better. I'm was much better at it. Because i was terrible. Okay yeah so in real life. You don't think you could actually crack now. No so don't come to me. So is this i mean were you sitting there. Where you taking notes okay. It's just fine. I don't know how to explain. It was a weekend. And we've i don't know just for around people that loved it too and then at the end is the crime sold. No that's that's that's the hard part. Yeah and they say the beginning of crime comes the most fun and the other thing coming. The killer runs free exactly. That's what it felt like did you. I obviously you're a very recognizable person when you go to crime con. Did you have to go out of your way to sort of disguise or so. It was great. People didn't care so nice. They were so focused on that. And i don't know if they were my demographic. I think they gave it that i was there. That's true plus if you were a disguise. I feel like the one place they would notice. The quickest is crime kearns. They're very onto e you have this situation where obviously Steven martin known each other for a very long time. I also know them to be incredibly welcoming people It just must have been very fun to be on set with them. It really was. I think they if anything have taught me so much. Just about comedy. I mean they have a humor. That just doesn't exist anymore. It's just it's the best. And i love watching them do what they do and i love being a of it and trying to live up to it you know. It's it's been such a blast. It's really true you say it doesn't exist anymore. But the way they do it makes it seem very new. And i think that speaks to how they treat it so much like a craft. Yes i agree. And obviously steve. I couldn't be more happy for because this was his baby to john. Of course that's really nice. I'm so you have a you have a beauty line. Yes and you're also using it as a platform to talk about mental health. Explain like why that was important in how you're sort of marrying the two when i originally wanted to start a cosmetics line i i said and i made it very clear that i want it to be a brand. That feels effortless. That feels like it doesn't have to be about what we look like. So i just wanted to eliminate this idea of perfection. All these girls kind of looking the same and you feel like you need to look like them and i wanted my makeup to be easy to use and just something to make women and men feel comfortable. I don't know it's very important here. It's called rare beauty. yes it is and This is What does this so this just came out. This is my mascara okay. So obviously i've never applied mascara myself so but we're going see out of you. We're going to see exactly okay. How effortless it is great. Let's do it. I guess. I have technically well. No i well riano plotted to me. Once i wanna talk about. I'm very something. i'm very private about. Oh my gosh okay you wanna start okay at the bottom okay and then kinda just let say i feel like right away. It's deeply unfair and push up. Oh wow a huge. he's see. Oh my gosh it looks fabulous like you know what this is fun to do today. No that's the part of this. That i immediately really like it's like you know we're like i just feel like there's not a thing guys have where we're like having nice conversation but also doing some. This is very cool. This is great. I do one. I can see the difference. All right just would haddish. Both this is so proud of. it's really makes. I thought this was going to be like. You're bad at it. Because you're a guy but i agree too great job now. I do feel like. I got some in my i can. I say i think it's made with really good material because there's no burning no that yes. Yes yes. I think. I got some in my eye and it's just fine. Thank god Thank you so much for being here thank you for. It's really nice to have you for the first time and again The show is wonderful. I don't know you when you think of selena gomez when i think of selena gomez i do not think disney no i think major career massive instagram star justin bieber and selena gomez. I hate to put them together. Still but i think of them. I think of her dating the weekend first stint in like i. I never felt like that made sense. I think of her. obviously she's younger. So i wasn't in the wizards of waverly place generation. But i don't think of her as disney. I don't think i do feel though. She is part of that generation. That is the idea to like when one disney girl said. My experience was so traumatic all of a sudden and ten of them are like mine. Too mine too. And it's like you don't have to have that street credit. You know how to have a terrible upbringing to be someone cool. It's the same with all these people who have anxiety all of a sudden having -iety you need attention. Shut up i. I worked with children in children's television before okay and it was both disney and nickelodeon. I can see told us at the same time. I say that they treat those children very well. I mean they're under so silent. Life's way and things like that. They treat them very well. They're under strict. Cold is a certain you know many hours and things like that and their pay and all that actually disney hayes. Very well for children. Just going to say that so to to say that i would have to say that's just your summer tits and also at the end of the day like you you wanted to do. This was all you ever dreamed star for. You even got this job. That was all you wanted. So it's important to remember that someone said to me this morning like you're having a bad day or like we'll remember at one point. The Miracle Balm From Jones Road Is This Summer's Best Makeup
"To my surprise and delight the jones road. Instagram people reached out to me. And said hey kirby we would love to send you like a care package of jones road products. My god they reached out to me too and i did not respond. Sell me on it. I was like jumping for joy. I was literally about ashikari. And just by it myself. Because i think the hero product out of all of it is this product called the miracle bomb. They sent me a kit so right now on the website. They have a kit like a summer. Kit were. There's like four or five products put together for you in smaller packaging so you can kind of get a taste alive that thing without having to like fully die then you know. That's like one of the things. I think i miss about beauty counters and from like the os in the nineties is like shopping at clinic and then they gave you like a little sampler travel bag gift with purchase. I loved those. Yes yes so this miracle bomb. This is the all natural shade. It's point three. Oh ounces okay. So compared to the one point seven six ounce that like is the big mama. It's a little bit smaller. But it's so much product in a tiny little jar and i was so excited to get on my face. So what does the miracle bomb. It is the secret of no makeup makeup. Bobby likes to say it's a wash of soft focus moisture to perfect it enhance the skin so this is a true bomb when you put it on your skin like on your cheek or on your nose. It has more of a matte. Finish matt but it's more soft focus. It's not super do we or shiny like some people may expect from a ball guests. It is a true bomb. And i love the soft focus. Because what does that mean. It means your pores you're gonna look less prominent sometimes with highlighter. When you put it on the bridge of your nose or for me especially. It's like hello pours. Yeah out in about with this. You take a little bit with If you have a spatula or like the end of your your makeup brush you take it out of the jar and warming up in your hands and then kinda dab it on your

"Scooter braun whose justin bieber's manager. You might not know his name. But he's a big big manager in hollywood. He's confused about his feud of taylor swift. That's how you know his name. He bore taylor swift's stors all her recordings. I think it was six of albums. Taylor went absolutely crazy. Some people say rightly so now. Scooter is to say the following quote. I regretted. it makes me sad. That taylor had this reaction. I don't know what story she was told. I asked to sit down with several times meat. She refused and he offered to sell her her back catalogue. But she's saying not quite so fast so in november when the story broke she said that brown basically did this behind her back and she wasn't allowed to buy her own music. She said the following quote. So i would have to sign a document that would silence me forever before i could even have a chance to beat on my own. Work is crazy that she didn't own her own work. Legal team at the time told her is absolutely not normal to sign an nda like that and nondisclosure agreement and said basically this is the type of document you get someone to sign after sexually assaulting them and paying them off and she said that she would never sign it. These masters were not for sale to me. I think taylor here. I'm not sure. I believe scooter. And even if cutest telling the truth this is not gonna help you. Stop. it's over you did this. You made a lot of money. He's already sold them again so he's made hundreds of millions of dollars taylor swift there sort of winning too. Public discussion like that heated discussion. You have to have a public apology. There are certain things that i may turn up about from time to time again. Maybe once a week. I get a little crazy. But that's just part of the show. And i think for cheryl in sharon. The hollywood agents were telling their celebrity clients. Right now you know what i see for you. Doll and twenty twenty to your face on a cosmetics line. You need a skin care line. Almost saying the world needs it. But i think we're good for now. It really has been a year of celebrity line. Launches hasn't it yes. I've got a list of someone's that i don't know if they've all launched this year but here are some names you've talked about in the podcast this year ready ready lady gaga letting gaga. It's a whole beauty nettle health. Line carmen electra. Into that one. We didn't even talk about her yet. To raji p. Henson has a haircare line. Selena gomez has a makeup line and yet. Does you doing skin to. It's not yet operative word serena williams is into hair care right or no no cisco son care. Spf member eleven. Yeah eleven right lauren. Conrad we had on the show. She is doing makeup end. Skin-care kristen bell she come out with a line or best friend. Kristen who we will fight to the death if you say anything bad about her so i don't have any problem with any of these individuals by any means. Were really well done. I liked a lot of products from a lot of those lines. Yes so we're not you know. I don't wanna hear like wait a second. You guys had these people on the show you promote them. What are you saying. You're talking to both sides your mouth. That's not it it's just. There's a saturation of celebrity. Like beauty. lions right now. I'm not sure how many more we need at like. I'm not sure how. But we definitely don't me. I don't know how many more the world needs. And i'm not really sure what. Us ps unique selling points. There are if we have too many more celebrity cardi right now through zeta-jones with her mar inducing video. Yes with her eyeliner. Like i just. I'm just not really sure how much more we can add to the conversation right now before it becomes like a parody. Do you remember all the fragrance lines came out like the end of the two thousands. It was like every celebrity became drink. Eventually yeah yeah i just. i'm nervous. Were getting to that point. Yeah i i. I agree with you and i think in general i found my job as somebody. Who's a beauty journalist. Who wants to try things and bring you the best. I found it really hard this year. There was just too damn much. Yeah so naughty naughty to the faceless agency i like it or blaming agents. It's true because those people get money out of it to all right Minority was my naughty mask. Ni twenty twenty two biggest off twenty twenty mask asked matthey okay so you guys know what that is that we didn't it didn't even this existed. We have the name. we had hormonal acne. Because everybody's walking around in a pp's which great a warm moist environments will logged pours. Acne and i'm just going to add onto acne naughty enough. it's not just acne. I was doing some more research on this and basically what the mass does. It just creates an inclusive environment the same way like your pimple patch does when you're healing pit bull that's good in some cases but not when you're using active ingredients so hey guys out there if you don't have mask knee. Heavy notions really read or the sides. Of your mouth cracking. Maybe he's a retinoid. It's more effective under that hot moist -clusive environment so like you gotta you gotta like pare back on all the active stuff.

Entrepreneur on FIRE
How to Grow 10X Your Size with Zero Growing Pains with Darius Mirshahzadeh
"The real darius and selena gomez you something in common and fire nation as we in the introduction. We're talking all about the invisible scale today and just how is going to help you. Rock your business in twenty twenty and beyond so first off darius what is the invisible scale break that down for us me and my book the core value equation. We essentially talk about when you build a core value driven organization. You have an opportunity. And i say this as nicely as possible. The word core values has been hijacked by marketing. Hr people and when it gets taken back by the entrepreneur in the business owner and it gets executed for strategy and execution. What ends up happening is three three things happen. As you can create the language the organizations that the core values it ultimate decision making engine and it creates a basically a magnet for talent. That are the right type of talent for the organization. Well a again making people who don't want to be part of the organization like they'll never show up for the leaves. You gotta be super authentic about the core values. We talked about that in the core value equation. When that happens it creates thing. I call him visible scale. And so what happens is is you get organic holistic like a growth that happens in the organization because you're essentially removing organisational inefficiency the friction of people who aren't on the same page not sharing the same values not working the same way they kind of remove themselves out of the equation. And you just get this kind of like smoothness. It's almost like a you know like when you put. Wd forty a doorjamb. In what i say is when that happens. There's almost dislike. Like i don't want ether in the air and it causes everyone to move to senator quietly holistically and i call that invisible scale and it's really where there's an invisible manager the core values in this case looking over the shoulder everybody and and and they're looking over each other shoulders and when that happens you start to get really really high velocity of growth. Because you're not you're not dealing with all the bull essentially so most companies have super inspirational and motivational core values. You know there's just plastered everywhere. Their you know just meant to get people fired up but you are a believer that core values don't have to be nice can you expound on that i'll go back to what you said before most companies have these really inspirational i sometimes they aspirational values. But i challenge each and every one of you to if you're the ceo entrepreneur foundering or one of the founders. Close your eyes and see if you just know them off the top of your head. And the data shows that fifty percent of them don't and they're the ones that create them which is kind of a joke and then i challenge you to go grab ten of your employees your employees five year depending on the size you orgainzation and don't give them an opportunity to look and say what are the core values of our company and when they don't know them nine times then you'll know that those inspirational words on the wall are kind of meaningless by the way that stayed on this ninety three percent of companies more than sixty percent of their employees donna the values. So i just say that you don't really have is and you have a mixture of core values. Just don't have a common set of core values so it's one of those things where if you really want to get to having core by driven organization. I've learned it. It's really simple. A they have to be unopposed Unapologetically authentic they have to be what you are because what most organizations do they start saying these things like where people centric and then they treat their employees crap or the or it's all about the owner or you know they say things that their marketing and hr team want them. Say to sound nicer. Vanilla are boring and boring is not really probably the option. But they're doing it to be safe and you know it's just not memorable athetic. And then they just fall flat on their face. And what i say is listen. Let me tell the question. Can i curse on the show. I mean because i was gonna say it like it is. If that's cool. It's okay fine. I will well so basically if you're a jerk that's my nice way of cursing you're a jerk or even then own it be unapologetic about it because when people get there they're going to know that's what you are and when they get there and they know that's what you are. Well then they're going to say oh this is just like everywhere else. They're full of it. So when you're unapologetic about the values not antic. And if you're a jerk organization own like i'll give you an example Uber went back. Which house clinic was the ceo. One of their top core values was to- stepping like literally stepping on each other's toes right and now one could argue that that went sideways on them. But the reality is is that they grew into a multibillion dollar company because they are unapologetic about what they were and they got after it. So my whole thing is they don't have to be nice if you're if you're a warrior culture own it if you're a rainbow pink unicorn and culture own that but be what you are

Jennifer lopez has already given her her blessing. Playing selena was tight landmark moment in my career. I was so excited when i saw the trailer and heard about it from big part of my life. I can't wait to see it. Jennifer lopez rocked theaters s to hanno singer. Selena back in nineteen ninety seven and now a new star is taking over. That is so good to talk to you. I just have to ask you as a latino yourself. What does selena mean to you. I grew up admiring and listening to selena. And you know she's an icon. Surata stars in selena this friday on that flicks them excited for new fancy lives in. Selena is my iconic that portrait right there. I have her right there at all times. Twenty five years after her shocking murder selena's legacy lives on having the family involved. It's just been so amazing. Because it gives us this incredible insight into for life before she was the star that we know her should be. Now how did you prepare for the role. I just did a very deep dive on all things. So i tried to find as many photos as i could. She's from a very specific region in south texas. And i wanted to perfect dot as much as i could the vocal coach even though it is salinas. Singing just wanted to understand how she say and moved her mouth and her stage presence. We had an incredible choreographer. The show it gives me chills so many times. I've cried like it's just. It's so exciting. I'm just really happy to be telling this story again.

Nikki Bella Sends Ex John Cena Belated Wedding Congrats
"This is daily and we have so much gossip to discuss. We are talking about the star. Who loves being naked and white halle berry is defending her skills in the bedroom. I nikki bella was just on the spot about her ex. john seen it. So on the all things being pumped podcasts. Nikki was asked if she congratulated john his wedding. Well here's what she had said. I haven't But yeah. I didn't say might supposed to show sundays to you. Could just say now john. I congratulate you on your wedding. It's they're documented. Yeah so john. Congratulations on your wedding. I'm very very happy three. Oh i really don't think you have to congratulate an ex when they get married. Don't you know. I mean. And if i do i wait like a year later mike. Oh we just we that you got research we know he. He was pregnant this morning. Well yes but this is pregnant with twins. But this is. I didn't congratulate on the first kid is the second round and realize you have three kids so interesting. I'm surprised that she didn't congratulate him on his wedding when he called her to congratulate her on having. The baby isn't like your normal reflex to be like that. And congratulations to what's going on in your life to john. I also think that you know. Just that i think you have a point. I think also because of the fact that he was genuinely probably really happy for nikki because she got everything that she wanted out of somebody that he would not give to her after so many years of her trying so i think there's less resentment on his end probably for her. She's really happy she has a new baby. She's with man she's supposed to be with but it's still unsure kind of triggers. Her instincts her a little bit when she's like well. Thanks mother effort but like you didn't do shit like i was waiting for six years. You didn't do anything that you were supposed to do and said you would do. Yeah i mean. I don't think that. I think that that's plenty. Especially whenever they both like you know moved on at felt like it was very fast. He their breakup seemed like a long time coming because they kind of accepted it but they both moved on kind of fast. And i think whenever it happens kind of fast like that. It's too fresh like you're like nah not happy for you yet. Give me some time to like. Get over everything that i still hold against you. And then maybe i'll be happy for you. Look let me give you some crying on the floor. Little advice for some going through something. Similar what i went through something like this for me. Saying congratulations to x. Who had moved on got married was kinda therapeutic because it kind of finalizes and it kinda close that chapter in your life. That relationship is not only not only over. But it's not coming back around for you right so then you can emotionally finally move on because no matter how happy you are you new relationship. No matter how happy you seem to be on social you still holding a flame for that person. You still want them person to want you back yeah. I don't know if it's a claim but that for sure one hundred percent. You're like i still expect that you're probably crying over me right. It's been twelve years but you're probably still upset about me really fast. Listrik thing it you still hold a flame over your ex is still want them to be like how you do it. It's not like crying on the floor. Just know that you think that's true. Okay that's all i need. Yeah that's all you guys done that though degray syntax ex when they have big moments oh god no because i don't think there's been any big moments yet. I i do think that once you've been with somebody for over four years it really becomes like it's it's just a bulbs into something more than just a romantic relationship. This is just a human being that you spent a lot of time with respect that point in your life that you had together you do like them as a person unless the person really did something you just wrong you and the and the damage irrevocable at some point you just sort of fade into. I really do want this person to do well. I did invest in this person and want us to be able to be cordial and nice. And i think that most people get there just in you got there. You were the bigger person in your last relationship you were. You definitely had your. There was some trauma there real quickly and said your piece one hundred percent but i never want my people be like. Oh yeah my ex is doing great. I want people to be like daniel man. That's what i'm looking guy. He's hanging out with data. That makes you feel bad though is bad as me. You're here he's got it all together. You are just same as me but let me tell you something i. The universe has put me in some uncomfortable situations where i'm not only running into my ex. I run into my ex. And his new boo right. So that's a little bit more difficult. What's hollywood is really small. But i truly adam. I am more like you as much as i like to say no. I am more of a happy that you're happy even though it's not as happy as you were with me but that's not just details details all right. The underlings breakout star until the day angeles says that she found it liberating to appear completely nude on the hbo show. She told interview magazine. Quote whether it's my eyes or my mouth or my boobs or my vagina. My body is just another tool to express myself so first off. I have to ask if you're nicole kidman And there's the scene where you're look. I mean cole looks. She's got the is. But i mean first of all. I can't believe we haven't seen this. I mean also justin. Don't you feel like this quote coming from this actress. Just feel so fitting like when you watch the show you can tell. She's extremely free with ourselves. She's extremely sexy. Attractive like shake just makes sense. She said that right. I think about nudity different than also. Doesn't she kind of random back like j. law a little bit like a little bit okay. A little bit. She does kind of. I think she's looking at her face. Krista it's so crazy to think about america when you come back question. I ask you know what i asked you. Just think about nudity differently like we were taught to shame our bodies. We were talking to hide our bodies. And i think when you're a european personnel actor you kinda sorta have this different vibe about it
