"Looks like for those expensive carnival ryan carnival right. What are they going twenty miles an hour. That's just like what the i would. I thought there'd be at least like buses. These look like model model xs or model wise going on her under there. I mean it is the perfect track for autopilot though. There's no way i get to. An accident opened fire. They never they'll probably away Top speed i sympathize. These are big problems. They take time to solve all right all right top speed thirty five miles an hour. That's faster than walking right. Yeah but when we were soldiers thinking oh we're going to be going in vacuum tubes at six hundred miles an hour and go from san francisco to los angeles thirty minutes. They mentioned sixteen passenger vehicles. not yet They're really just think you just invented trains again. In full. Disclosure like my. My wife works for public transit agency. So i traded it. It seems like constantly a lot of these. A tech things where they're kind of disrupting transit are just like well. You really disrupting in or are you just essentially trying to reinvent something that is already there and maybe doesn't need disruption so much as it needs more funding and support at full capacity according to Make acres forty four hundred people per hour can be trans trans ported. Because they're sixty two vehicles. You just can't get nice little in car. Do so slow. Sorry okay what would make this better. What if you had some of those. What do they call those. The two wheeled scooters. Oh segues yeah segue segue segue loop same speed. Let you drive. There might be more collisions but there might be more fun rollerblade through it or something. I don't know that sounds like skateboard. Yeah we have. I think you know this robert de remember. We did a promo in san francisco on segues which was so much fun for the new screen savers and then who crashed heads leeson. I had so much fun. We bought two segues Pretty much stopped using it when we found Our teenage boy jousting on the segue with is laughing because she knows One of those not a teenager. They found a piece of lumber with nails in it by the way and they're holding it under their arm and they're joe sting. Let me ask you this. Do they also have e bikes. That are not locked up somewhere bikes. So they can just what those say. Steve steve wozniak used to do segway. Polo. and yeah. i played segway polo with With with was he loved his face. The segues yeah the got an off road one no no I did for the promo it big fat tires. That's the same one that the former president of segue drove off a cliff to his death. That's right so. I decided not to buy them not to be tempted to go off road and we just have the road the road segues. I get cynical about this just because I used to love trains in the united states. I've traveled coast to coast on trains. And then i got here. And i wrote a high-speed i was thinking. Oh my god no we. We have no idea what trains are. Yeah it's true. Yeah every other country. I've ever been to. The trains are better kills. It kills me. It would be so nice to have you with your wife. Dan mass transit This what we need solution. We gotta get it. Dr. mom's saying leo. I told you men in their twenty s or idiots. Okay so michael was the one jousting on the segues. Now i remember. I gave henry my my my older son. He's twenty five or hover board and he got on tosh two point. Oh because they were bored jazz. Ding i i heard about that from tosh two point before i heard about it from you. I was watching late night. Like henry so You remember that in the video there was an i a quick elbow shot. That just took the guy out. Platelet i said henry please. He also. There's another thing by the way i shouldn't poor henry. I shouldn't mention this. But i can't help it. There's another thing. I guess is tiktok inspired where you jump off a roof and land on your back on a table and it breaks. It breaks your fall. Have you ever seen that. Don't do it kids now than planking. Why because he sent me the video of him he's jumping off a roof he flips around he lands. He says. oh it's safe dad and the girls love it okay. When in twenty years when he has back problems that clinton no kidding a a anyway. I'm sorry this is not the henry show cara swisher Got a big interview with tim. Cook although and you wrote up about it dan you listen to it. I long ago learned never interview. Ceo's because they're not stupid You know you hope for you. Hope for a stupid. Ceo or at least indiscreet one. But they're always well trained. Tim cook is not going to say anything. He's the man is very regiment. I was jason snell. My colleague six color. Saying talking. About interviewing steve jobs once for five minutes. He's like was he didn't want to be there. I didn't really want to be. It's kind of pleasant experience. You look for actually people like was was i think. Probably because of a brain injury tells the truth and was great. He'll say an and you always get juicy quotes that a was but you never gonna get juicy quote. No tim. Tim cook is very. He's you can tell from his demeanor that he plays things very close to the vest. He's very deliberate in the way that he speaks and he took over. Yeah there are a few things in there. That i think are interesting point to stuff. You got to kind of read between the lines here. He talked a bit about a are which he's been talking about for a long time now And he made some kind of strange comments about what show be. Wouldn't it be greater. We're having this conversation better if we could just have like graphs like know him. I know you really love grants. I don't think that really is better. But but the way he talks about it is much more concrete in terms of the way he's thinking about it and it's always been an area of interest rate and stuff they've on ios. This feels like i know there is something coming and we are going to be doing something around this and i'm trying to very much talk around it and so you can kind of see in the sort of the negative space right like what he's not saying that like there is something there that he is avoiding talking about so i think it is interesting. See that because they'll never talk about future products they were working on this or whatever but you get a very different feeling from that versus say she asked him about car stuff as well and obviously there's been a lot written talking about apple being interested in cars and he cook is willing to say like..

"Shop that thought this was funny enough that they created their own version of Google slides, so they have for thirty dollars in a range of of shoe sizes. You can buy a pair of sandals slides as it were with the Google slides logo on them, thus giving you a pair of Google slides and a again to twenty, where only halfway through twenty twenty? We still have as much as we've been through. We've got that much to get through as it is yesterday. Call Reiner. Left of left us at the way too soon age of ninety eight. It was four am when I came across the listing and I decided I had to decide for myself that I I take. I'm in the market for like some simple like slip ons to wear around the House I. think that's hysterically funny. And I have thirty dollars, and not only do I have thirty dollars I'm going to make another thirty dollars darn quickly. Good Lord Willing and I'm going to order repair pair of Google slides. They should be in my position in two weeks. I can't wait. I can't wait for you to wear these. These are amazing. I kind of wish I I saved my money for these instead of A. Shouldn't admit this out loud because it's going to be on the record, but Back in the day before I realized how awful they wore I, bought some Kim crashing merchandise. What have which is a pair of slides when when you say how awful they were, is they referring to the merchandise or the people? The the people I mean I knew. If you're just just just new. They were awful like okay, but like I didn't realize anyway I was. I wish I'd saved my money. Because these are way more awesome, plus you wear these around people be like. Why are you wearing? A Google product as your. I'm looking forward to getting this tracking you your within four feet of them, Bluetooth L. E. has already gotten the idea from your phone, and it's recording our conversation as we speak. I have to say this dad jokes. Shop has some interesting products. One of them is a shirt that says it takes gots to be an organ donor. There you go see which does exactly what it says on the package. That is a bad joke, which is not a negative thing I. We we used to simply in my day that we simply call them bad jokes. We appreciated them as the legitimate form of comedy that they actually were. But yeah, it's I also feel as the other reason why I have to say that I bought them last night is that I feel as though on the the internal Google Message Board, there was an announcement that these things are available and this and as soon as like an a couple of weeks is going to be another message. Saying okay is everybody who wanted. Wanted to buy them by them. When it's bought the ones they want. Okay now we could actually soothe them and to make them take it down and give them a season. Does this, but we wanted to make sure that everybody at Google who wanted a pair could buy a before. We pulled the trigger on this and you can buy them with Google pay. Is Right here. So free shipping they ship anywhere internationally and so dad jokes dot shop if anybody is, get them before a cease and desist letter goes out. I should buy another pair. Just have them like one for display purposes. Yeah, you should, and then you could sell them on Ebay a couple of years from now I imagine Ebay will still be around. Oh my goodness. That was great. Andy I had actually nine when I studied the today I forgot to kind of like. Go all the way to the end because I was so fixated on the drama. Get in, and so that was nice. That was nice after dinner mint. Thank you. That was great. Speaking of cleansing the Pallet. That actually not a Segue, but whatever. Else is not a segue. The segway personal transporter, which was was officially ended and in the marketplace last week. You know the three thousand dollars segway personal transporter from Dean came in that you laughed at and did not WanNa buy, and had no chance of actually buying for three thousand dollars is now off the market they've they've decided that everybody who was going to buy one has already bought one. So, what's the point? Oh my gosh. How did I miss this? The SEGUE is officially over. Wow, so what are people going to do now? When they when they do tours of Golden Gate Park? Like. How are you going to get around? Are you going to do tours? We need another way of looking Dorky. I'm sure we will find a way that humans they are. They are an expiration species, if nothing. Wow, what is the was going to do? What is right on St Steve Wozniak not see not only did. He's not a fan of the personal transporter. Like when he flight at least when he flew to Boston, like he actually, he and his wife actually packed to segues as baggage so that they would have not just segues, but the impersonal segues their disposal. I mean he was playing segway. Polo at a park and in Sunnyvale every weekend, so that was like the thing he was known for. Their still doing that we. Can I just say that? We make fun of the hippies but boy. The the HIPPIE tech billionaire generation. They really knew how to do it. Okay, you got you got your Steve Steve Wozniak who said Hey. I'M A billionaire. I'm going to put on a music festival because there's a whole much bands that I want to see, so let's let's create. This thing called the US festival and you get Bill Gates. Who Okay he went through the we went through the Microsoft thing, but it's also you know what now that I've got jillion dollars. Let's get polio done. Let's finish polio and some other stuff like that. You don't get the sort of stuff where. You see that now wearing an orange. And, this hat is not just a hat is made of special fibers that are solar inductive self replenishing and also act as low energy beacons. Yes, Mr Toilets, but we did want to talk about a worker abuses at your factory. I've got up a longer range vision of the future. Now let's get back to the hat. Every family will have three of these hats. They won't have four because. See, it's not like. Hey, let me spill my money. A wreck festival or hey, let's go. I WANNA be Steve Jobs. "So the the reason, they're a few I'll also wanted to say I that this Guy Dean came in the inventor. He invented before this This thing called the I bought wheelchair which. Is Crazy, it's basically like a I mean. It's a wheelchair. But. It can, it has like a triangle of wheels. It s like three on every side I'm. Now three wheels shaped like trying friends. This man claims to be an innovator. What he's done is invented the tricycle. yeah, well, then he would come back and share the man cannon. Well. I guess nobody's invented that. The so the wheels were in a triangle on both sides, and they could stack the you know the whole thing could kind of extend is hard to describe and stack the wheels on top of each other g could be in a wheelchair, but you could rise up to standing height. because. He was able to balance on those two wheels. You could also looking at a picture of him with Slick Willy. In the Oval Office, you could also use this wheelchair. Going backwards to go upstairs because the three wheel design it Kinda like turn. see you could. Go upstairs in a Whiz so like a wheelchair that led you go upstairs. Also stand at full standing height That's huge. That makes things way more accessible. Yeah, if he invented that and brought that to market in. Nineteen Ninety six or something. Yeah, but I've never seen one of those exactly. I America was vaporware to know. It probably worked I. Imagine maybe like the battery didn't last long, or it was like insanely expensive, but the thing was. There was all this hype and and predictions around what ginger slash it would be, and meanwhile it turned out. It was like Oh, it's just kind of like version of this wheelchair that he's already shown off. which in hindsight, made a lot of sense and to be fair a lot of people at the time. Even though it's probably something like this, just for people that don't necessarily need a wheelchair. But Anyway Tim like forget the disabled to sell to the able bodied. Yeah, we're of them came in as A. Is Hurt a businessman of course Sam eating, you think he bought a shed style mansion by giving things away. "Okay, couple of other bits of Tech News in the Video Game World Cyberpunk twenty seventy, seven delayed till November nineteenth from its original September seventeenth release dates, which you more months I'm fine waiting for that. I mean at this point between now and the fall its squadrons, and then I'm still said its place IRA punked, but give it time to marinade and give it time. To get it right, you know that November date seems way more like a new launch. Console Launch Day than a September date does I. don't know about you guys, but. That's very very interesting. Point. Yeah, Nice, Nice Nice incite. Other things going away big news from Microsoft Mixer. They're shutting down mixer. They paid Ninja rumor her. In the tens of millions of dollars exclusive to mixer to leave twitch. He took the money kept the money, and now he's free to go back to twitch look. Ninja has a well established relationship with drake who is now affiliated with caffeine and my bet is. Look the the word on the street. Is that Ninja left in the dark of night without warning anybody that he was going. As opposed to some of the people who left afterwards, who who didn't torch their twitch bridges on the way out I it's GonNa be really interesting to see what happens with all this the unfortunate. I'm back on twitch. I I mean look he's. GonNa. He's GonNa. Go where you can make the most money who gives them the most money, but it's very clear that that's what what he's already made the most money he's making money. There's still more money to be made norm. There's an infinite supply of money for. for someone who is the best divest fortnight's dreamer in the world. The the real bummer about this whole thing is the way they. They shut the the way they announced this. You people who'd worked on mixer for the last five or six years found out. Like on the Internet by looking at twitter the same way, we all did people who'd streamed on mixer and build audiences, and and and build communities there found out the same way that that we did and like the streams. The day that they announced this were heartbreaking. There were a bunch of people who were profoundly upset in their. This is the danger of building your audience on somebody else's platform, but when you're talking about game streaming, it's the only way to do that so you know it's an unfortunate situation, and hopefully those people end on twitter facebook gaming your youtuber wherever wherever streamed games are played. We did our tank Paul. Experiment on mixer ever another ocean last year that thing where we had. Four well, how many tasted? We have four tanks playing soccer against one another. Blast live over the attack. I mean it just didn't catch the same way that which. To be honest. None of the game streaming platforms even Youtube have done what twitches done, and that's the first mover advantage one of those cases where being first and keeping that tech up and building those screamer relationships has worked really well, and the user behavior is really tough to change. Even when you got in when you signed a deal to get the most popular streamer in the world, so the the bummer about all of this. Is that the? The technological advances that mixer brought to game streaming like incredibly low latency, streaming and stuff like that forced twitch to catch up and chase so because they're gone now. We're in a situation where they're not. There isn't the somebody with a technological advantage pushing which innovate with things like the squad streams where multiple people playing multiplayer game could could embed their videos in one stream that's playable on mobile and stuff like that or the latency streaming or Any number of other. Interesting things that twitch copied from mixer so hopefully they're they're going to keep. Pushing things forward, and you know even even something as simple as bit rate like on on mixer. You can stream at ten kilobits per second so that your ten eighty p. sixty streams look really nice can't do that on twitch still so megabits. Per second aggravates. Other things going away. Nine, which owns the segway and brand announce stop manufacturing the SEGUE PT, the original segue model Rpi so just the knee segues no, just in the segue hover boards, scooters I mean the dream of the Safeway has been slowly dying and the companies I. Mean I guess in the era of lockdown the pandemic you don't see, segue towards being thing anymore, but they were still beloved by small community of people know like like the laws of the world you do their segues, soccer and the tour. Rollo and Segway Polo that's right Up segues. Thank you Paul Blurt? For. Greening that in popular culture, but What they didn't predict with the creation of the segway was really electric scooters, becoming replace and the Giro technology, while being really interesting and novel and magical back then not being necessary for the way we get around. Or being integrated into a much more compact form factor like the one wheel or something like that right. And maybe the whole rental scheme to the the way you mentioned scooters, it's also. Found success is not been through. Personal ownership, but through leaving them on the side of the street, renting them and. Those devices long one we all they value efficiency in getting you to where you WanNa, go rather than leisure, the leisure pace of the Segue, which was the whole promised that people wouldn't be walking anymore. They just on strolls on these gyro scooters, and the mistake was. They didn't make reclining bucket chair with the scooter attached so that you could just sit there and have your cupcake in a cup while you're coast into work in the morning. That's that's the future. I blame job from arrested development. You segues. Yeah I. Do yeah, but I. Do love that. His Mom always called scooter. I my dad. We went on the Pacific a segue tour once, and he said this toward guy was like. Oh, you're the only person I've ever seen. Beef it on his segway before. So. Congratulations dead. I love this guy I. Swear to God. I might go as him as Halloween this year. I just feel like you know. He's the if he's a villain God. Bless them because like he's done nothing really wrong. I think he's. He's cheated. Maybe at a game. No fucking doubt that he cheated. Did you read what the what the Guinness? People said when they reinstated him? What did they say it? It read okay, so here's what it says. After reviewing billy's game playing reproducing similar I felt I can honestly say that. This is legitimate gameplay Robbie Lake men. "Me this my producer. He's insane. It is a lovely leather. I chose not to wear it for the show today. Show you Marquez. With the folding phones everyone we've seen so far has been kind of a disappointment not merely the Escobar Digi liked Z. Flip was there anything. Is this a category? That's being made up by companies trying to find something different or consumers demanding It's definitely closer to the I think so I. I've tried maybe six or seven folding phones now. I think Z. Flip is the closest to one that you could conceive a regular person finding a good idea but I think it is still coming from companies grasping at maybe. There's maybe there's something here. Maybe there's something to a bigger screen folding down into a smaller form factor. But then there's so many different ways to maybe do that. You know falling in with an outside screen holding out around a hinge folding with a with a a weird like like hinge in the center like as a bunch of different experiments. These Microsoft dual screens with a handle screen. Might be a way to do. I think part of the problem with everything I've seen so far is that bendable screens just really aren't very good. Yeah those are super early. That's why go ahead mark. Yeah I'm I'm really interested in seeing those when they come out they say. Holiday Twenty twenty. We'll see if that actually happens. But those since they don't rely on a flexible single display. They can do a lot more with a hinge in the middle a battery on each side and software. That sort of runs like dual screen software. Which seems a lot easier to get right right off the bat and actually offer an advantage than something totally new like a screen folding in half Google already has support for that an android. Microsoft's doing a new windows ten x. That actually is really much more than just for a duo or neo device. It's really about reinventing windows. But they don't want to scare people so it's my opinion that we'd be talking on Windows weekly about this too with Paul. Mary Jo that they're going to put it on the neo. This say this windows ten X. It's basically containerized version of windows is only you know we're making it for this new device but ultimately this is the future of windows which I think is is kind of interesting. I think I like the idea of of a book device. I don't know what about what about one that's retractable. So where would expect so Where's it going? So there's the that the I've seen over the years I've seen different prototypes in people playing with with different types of phones. So you know one is is sort of unfolding. The other one is having something embedded where you can extend that screen out. Pull it out this way. Oh I'm again My question is always. What is this additional real estate providing US? What is the solving for is that are we anticipating that people are going to somehow multitask and have like a video like a youtube video on one screen. And you're doing something on social or you're being productive on another screen or is it that people really desire you know much more real estate. I don't again I just don't see that. I don't know that that that the answer to those questions are yes. I'm happens in this business though. They are sometimes driven by the market but much more often driven by a company that has to find the next big thing Sometimes sometimes he's you're sort of searching for it and find it without anyone asking for it For me it's always been fundamentally people generally like having a bigger screen to do more things whether it's watching a video or typing email whatever it is But the bigger screen. You have the bigger device you have and the more difficult it is to hold and to put in your pocket and to put a case on and all that stuff so fundamentally shrinking the size of it down when you're not using the big screen and then expanding it out when you need. It seems like a good idea but again how you do it exactly as sort of upper grabs. Let's take a little break and there's lots more to talk about amy. I have your future today. Institutes Tech Trends report for Twenty Twenty in front of me thirteenth annual edition. Maybe we go through some of the highlights. Some you have some basic I think. What is it One two three nine basic insights and go through some of those. Amy Webb is here. She's our futurist. I met her when she came out with her. I I was it your first book. Yeah must've been years ago and that was my second actually go. I didn't I didn't know you with your first book but I out how I hacked dating website because I saw the Ted talk. Oh that's funny and now it's a movie or going to be. Yeah so the first book I knew about was The signals are talking but I see before that data a love story is that it that is it. That is the story of how I manipulated the algorithms without breaking the terms of service on a dating website. And that's how I met my husband. It worked that's amazing. Is she takes her drink. And that's it were friends how I met my husband. It worked data loves starting now. I gotta read that because I love everything else you've written signals are talking was the first book I knew you about. And of course the big nine most recently All about the bat fangs. Or what do they call the g? "Although the my version is V playgrounds features. All the same lessons. You'll find on the ipod vision. Their differences apple added sidebar untouched support for the micro s APP. Ooh touch going to get into that. That's a game changer. Right there and the micro vision allows you to use the lowercase or Navigate Code suggestions. The new macbook seamlessly with Franken's for IPAD. Thanks cloud you can start one playground on your Mac and then opened up late on your ipod. Cool right decided hold our way. This is the best part requires zero. Coding knowledge they go. That's where I like. Someone like me could even do. Yeah Wow and You know help you learn the basics. This is how you need to do it. And it's such a path. It's messing the programming languages for the most popular APPs on iphone and IPAD. Yeah you know you know you could be an An OP mogul by next week. This could be this could be my ticket out of this guy. Get Out of this podcasting but accurate. Finally my way out. Well let me ask you because I know you're really into swift Leandra like when you were playing around with with playgrounds. What was your like the best part lake? We're like well this. This is clearly what people need to be using where I became completely befuddled. Thirty seconds of looking at it. I don't I don't even know what a right you know what this yesterday. And it was a lot of fun and if you have been wanting to learn how to code. I actually would like to learn more about swift. I do wonder if it's going to be something that is popular in the future. I've seen languages come and go in the past were company will back something like even Dobie. Adobe has backed specific languages like Flash Adobe Air was one that is one that comes to mind and and then they just don't get adopted and so you waste all your time learning this language that no one actually ever will use ever again. Apple's a massive company one of the biggest so swift has that working for it. But I kinda wonder is swift going to be something that's worth investing in. I just did not convinced people such swift like crazy aren't they? I mean from what I saw something yesterday. Someone was talking about it saying that. You know I mean if you're going to be developing apps it's going to be using and You know apple's not going to go anywhere and the absolute it's just going to get bigger and bigger isn't it? I think that is the by far the most successful software platform On the planet. Right you know it This is the code. They use an island. People like this with playgrounds like this. You know zero coating I think you can you. Can you can create complete apps that without touching any code at all right. It's all use the libraries and a lot of his visual. I I think the point is to learn how to Code. So eventually you'll be touching the code. I would imagine but it is interesting to me just because I would love to learn how to create an APP. I mean that is a really useful skill set to be able to create like right APPS and released APPs. I've got this really killer APP that I've had my mind forever. I only want to talk about it. Because one of those things like I'm GONNA mention it. And then people are going to copy it because it's going to be clear moneymaker and it has like this built in Built-in In-app purchase mechanism odd. Just tell you as always trusted you. Guys aren't GonNa try thought up so what I'd say about this mothers. No I didn't. It's called rip off and there's just like a bunch of pictures of different kinds of gusts of winds and then you press it makes that corresponding fart. Sound right. Think how much fun you're going to have when you're showing this to your friends or like you're in class and like the teachers up there and she's writing something real boring and then like like you just launch off one of these like these fart. Sounds good around. She's GonNa be like who did that and everyone's going to laugh. And then you can have like a monthly subscription where we're always saying what is this like eighty dollars a month. No no no. The APP is free. But then there's the part of the week right so there's the part of the week which is discounted rights normally. They're going to be like I don't know I'm thinking like eight dollars per fart. Because they take a lot of effort to record and you have to have sound. Engineer and special microphones and stuff and and then every week we do you knew. Every week we do we. We could do like celebrity versions right. It's like you get like the Shit Kilo pack right so we go to his house and we record him and like in the shower after he eats like a Burrito and stuff and then we sell you that whole pack down. I can't wait to get this. Actually the more I talked about it the more I think this is GonNa make me millions going to be like That guy who runs oracle just off this one APP so yeah so a visual element. You could do cheek of the week. Chica. The week get out your jumpsuit. Lewis you're too good this this is going to be great and we gotta make a list of like celebrities like maybe apple slavery is like we definitely gotta get was on. There is going to be. That's going to be some Some really powerful flagellations record after he does one of his Segway Polo matches or something. They have gone too far. I'm just getting started this. I'm taking notes as we do this anyway. So it'd be great to be able to program that myself so I definitely want to play around with with programs are swift players K. We haven't even left. Let's do this. Let's do this last story so if you're frustrated with your apple keyboard we'll wrap up at the story. You're not alone and apple just got called out in a big way. Joe Joe Rabbits screenwriter. Which is a movie. I've never heard of have you guys heard of Joe Rabbit but I've heard of it. Yeah you everyone else. Think Joe Joe Rabbits. It's supposed to be great. Didn't mean Iran. Eventually sure when it comes to that. When it comes apple up TV PLUS GIOJA RABBITS SCREENWRITER. Vents are about the horrendous. Mac Book Keyboards. This has just gone mainstream. This is that's why I love this story because we talked about how bad the keyboards are but people who don't follow technology. They just have no idea. They don't even know what iphone version were on. You know people ask me all the time. Like wh- version of the IPHONE. Should I get? And they don't even know what's out there they just don't follow it. Actors love some to have some political message to impart to viewers at award shorts. Boy Do they ever we all just love hearing them comforting? Well that's why that's why I watched the second here. Their political opinions at last night's Oscars TYCO TT winner of the Academy Award for best adapted screenplay screenplay for Gioja Rabbit voiced his own passionate plea this time for apple to change. Its Gall Darn Mac book keyboards. He said quote apple needs to fix those keyboards. They are impossible to write on and they've gotten worse and makes me want to go back to PC. What because keyboards the bounce. Back for your fingers is way better and those apple. Keyboards are horrendous. Doesn't that just make you feel good inside loose I teach you? Don't know exactly how he feels all man. I absolutely I would go as far as saying that. The New Keyboard on the twenty nineteen sixteen inch math. Appro that one feature if you use the keyboard allot maybe worth upgrading. Just for that one feature. It's a night and day. Difference I still the tribunal is new ones. You GotTa get into the Apple Store and take a few clicks on the keyboard but you better take your band aids with you and actually put them on before you go because it's a nice experience. It's a real nice experience like you. Just get your fingers on there. And it's like. Oh yeah you're taping up and down and those keys they got just threat amount of give and at push you know like you don't feel like you're just typing on a glass surface. It just feels feels the way of keyboards. Should and I think you're the type of guy that would would appreciate something like that since you're on the keys all day long that'll joking. "A rounding error for you on your car payment, just funded this guy because I was at the first maker, faire, I think I've been about five maker fairs in, I'm not a maker, but they were amazingly fun. You got to meet some really cool passionate people in see what they were doing. And what they were building in the stuff was so cool in it really makes me sad that this is going to be a thing. Yeah. They he wants to kind of Ted exit and let other people do make your fair. So you know, he can just kind of license the name out, which sucks. No, you need the you need the, you know, the whole organization behind it, because maker fairs were fun, man. Why isn't it? Sounded spearheading something here. Come on, buddy. Use your powers for good. I. Yeah, he really should. I mean, I got to see Steve Wozniak place, segway polo. I come on how you can't get better than that. So I hope somebody steps in and fixes this because it sucks. It really sucks. It can't cost that much. Money. No. And in other news, this is something that we've talked about a while, but we now have some hard data about its four in tech workers are not coming to the US. They are going to Canada, because immigration is too damn hard. Here. We have hard numbers on this all things being equal, the really strong, with really strong US job market. You'd expect continued growth in foreign interests in US tech jobs that is not happening. It is flat. Canadian jobs have a higher rate of such interest than US ones in may fourteen percent of all clicks on Canadian tech jobs posted on indeed were from foreigners while nine percent of US tech jobs at attract clicks from candidates abroad. So everybody is going to Canada. That's where big tech is going to be if you're not American in, you know what this is all anecdotal evidence. But all of my all of my foreign friends who are in other countries that, that makes them four into over the phone. It says it right there on the ten. They're scared of the United States. They don't care so much about the immigration prospect of it. They care about the, the tone that we've set in this country with. The orange if and there's to come here because they think that they're going to be targeted that is the exact same feeling. I get from my friends that they, they don't even want to come to this country anymore. This used to be where everybody wanted to come. Nobody wants to come here now. Yeah, this is the land of opportunity home of the land of the free home of the brave, you know. And now it's just like if you're a different color than you're scared to come here, because you think you're going to be targeted which is bullshit. It's people let's turn it around. "Good morning. How are you guys? Great, terry. I have got a story from the ninety six chess championship in Cincinnati shirt. That's interesting. And it involves the championship. Of course. And Brendan Morrison story from the next novel not the next day a couple of weeks later. I was there with my two sons. And I don't know if you remember, but we played the second game on Friday night. And between the first and the second game the ice machines went out and the rank was a puddle. And we ended up starting that game somewhere around eleven thirty at night. And then we won in overtime. So we went to the finals on Saturday. And of course, that's the the famous passed to myself from behind the goal goal and that was also in overtime victory. Two weeks later. My daughter was considering colleges, and we came up for she came up for a weekend, and we were at the Gandy dancer and right behind us in line was Brendan Morrison and his family. So we started talking in the line, of course, about the finals and everything. But I said, you know, my daughter here is looking at going to Michigan. And he took one look at her with a very very stern face and said to her you must go to Michigan. She ended up. She ended up going and playing cymbals in the Michigan marching band. Sorry, call Brenton was partially responsible van was too because he's a grad, but Brenton had a lot to do with her final decision at I've been happy, and she has to ever since she graduated for residential college. And then went on to you knew versity California's San Francisco, which is the best pharmacy school in the country and got her doctorate pharmacy. Very cool writer got a lot to do with that. Comment on the the game tomorrow. It's gonna be fun. I think were favored by too many points. But I don't think we're gonna win. And I tell you there are four he's I think to this game or do keys to this game. One is line play the offensive and defensive lines from each side or going to determine if they can run and asked protected, so I think those four lines, and then I think quarterback play is the next I think those things will decide the game. I'm really excited. I think we're going to beat Wisconsin. And then we'll we'll be MSU, and we are lucky having will buy wait. Yeah. We're certainly it would be. It will certainly be a lot of fun for Michigan fans. Appreciate the phone. Call terry. If we are if we go into that by week with to know, Mark in these past two games, and and certainly line plane. We'll we'll get into that a little bit more during this twelve o'clock hour as we get ready to make our staff picks coming up probably around twelve fifty or so in this hour here. But I want to talk about some of the players to watch in this game. We we do this on Fridays look at both offense and defensive player that maybe you have your eye on this particular week judge based off the matchups based off of how they're performing right now, maybe a bounceback game. So MS your start with your Zach here. I mean start with me I but mostly because I gotta take care of corporate stuff real quick. So now your chance to win text national keyword tier two nine five eight one nine for your chance to win one thousand dollars right now as part of. Four K a day on sports talk. Ten fifty WT K a ticket. Okay. Got the corporate stuff out of the way other radio stations. They like make it sound like it's this big fun thing. And we display it. Trust me. I have been kind of we we we it's a corporate thing they want to do it him. And I are just like. Kind of ruins the flow of lot of lot things. But as we have to do it in a ten minute window, right? Yeah. We've got we've got a ten minute window anyway. Anyway, let's go back to the flow the players to me. I think the the first one I wanna keep an eye out for since it sounds like he has been given the thumbs up to play Chris Evans. I wanna see how he comes out after being sidelined for what has two or three weeks now games. Yeah. So I want to see what kind of flow, we kind of Mojo. He's guy coming into this game. You know, you know, adding that extra bit of you know, that that speed and the running game. How's that gonna work out especially with a couple of members on that Wisconsin de line banged up that we'll see that kind of opens things up? I'd like to see what Chris Evans going to bring back after being on the shelf for a couple of weeks. All right. I like that like that pick Zach offensive guy. Oh. I was I had a defensive guy in my head. I think I think. Let's go. Let's go Caesar we's. Okay. I think it's a it's a big opportunity for him because you know, really Wisconsin pass rushes not elite. They have five sacks and five games in net. That's against teams like western Kentucky, New Mexico state Nebraska through jillion times and didn't get sacked that much. So it's it's one of those things where they're going be alright, but olive segway polo their nose tackle, he's very good. He's very good against the Rani's very good against the pass. And and this could be a big opportunity for Caesar we kind of assert himself as one of the big ten's better centers. And and I think him doing that. Because yes, they have great linebackers, but everywhere else and actually spent some time on their message boards this morning. Their defense. According to the fan rast always rational fans, the the tests they think it's worse than it even looks. And so I think saga polo. I think Connolly and Edwards and van gingko who's dinged up. I mean, you stop those guys you're probably stop everybody. You know? So I think that's one one offense of lineman. It sounds like he's there liking the way he's headed him in him. And in Wayne new they've liked the past couple of games from both of them. So he has he has a good game. I really like Michigan's chances. No, I I like that. I like the pick. I was actually gonna stick with the offense alliance. You and say either brought us in or one of the two guards. Because you look at you mentioned, the linebackers and TJ Edwards. Ryan Connolly lead. This badger defense in tackles, they they combined for about twelve tackles per game and two tackles for loss per game between the two of them. And so when I'm when I'm looking at those guys have you can you can somewhat neutralize you're not gonna take them out of the game completely. But a year ago, you know, we saw Michigan run a lot of power and on why new Pauline. And I believe it was I believe it was too jammers coming down and crashing that and really disrupting things for this Michigan offensive attack. And so if you can neutralize the combo blocks up to the second level and try to take those middle linebackers out, the the polling place or they're gonna they're gonna kick the gonna kick the defensive end out, and they're going to get a either a guard or one of the titans trying to block down and cut off the back side line. Becker. If they can do that effectively and consistently against TJ Edwards and Ryan Conley. Those are the two playmakers from the badgers defense was a two guys are always around the ball. If you can't if you can take them out. I Don I mean, I'm not insane. Three quarters of the time or two thirds more than fifty percent of the time. You're gonna chance at a really strong ground game for this Michigan offense. And so I'm looking at the guards and a lot of other guys the big plays Patterson really want the nickel college might be important in Michigan. Might be a little deeper at the two guards and say, okay, these two guys could have a big impact. Because if they can if they can get up there on the second level Michigan's got a really good chance to run the football for more than four and a half yards per carry. And and those are the those are type of plays last week. We didn't see it, and I think a little bit, but was Krahn because I need the Blackie was actually pretty good last week. But if you can get that second level, and you can cut off the the the backside linebacker so often that's the plan goes from five to eight to thirty yards. Because now that backside guy can't come from come from the from the rear side. And and take you down or blocking that that safety. That's emissions. Gotta do a great job of. That's what they have not done. A very good job of against better. Rush defense is over the last couple of years. That's where my focus is going to be on those two offensive guards. All right, MS how about your defensive player looking for in this game. You know, I really haven't thought about it. But I think really think now you put me on the spot a little bit. I would say probably. So someone on the secondary. I I think you want to go the combo the corners. You know this. This is going to be one of those games. I think that horny bergh's gonna have to we we've mentioned before they he's going to have to pass a lot more and being obviously allow people keep looking back at the play from two thousand sixteen that that that John Lewis had I think this this defensively this I think this game's really come down to how. Well, our our secondary works. And I think it really does started the corner position. All right. Yeah. No agree with that. I mean, we talked about the pass interferences. They've had seven the defensive secondaries had seven pass interference penalties in the first six games. That's a that's a lot Liberte hills had two of them. David longs, had one judgment towels had one Tyree canals had one Thomas has actually had a couple of them. So in which is you know, he's on the field a ton. But so certainly in who hasn't had one is Brandon Watson has not had one number. One coverage corner in the big ten per pro football, focus by a mile like by like he's like a ninety three point eight. I don't think anyone else's over eighty while. So he's been and and you know, it is a little different when you're not necessarily playing every snap or not necessarily the starter whenever but he's been phenomenal. And framed and not have penalties on top of that. Although I do think that goes into that pretty. I mean, you know, you feel comfortable with him being on any of Wisconsin receivers and not every team can say that about their supposed number three corner. So my defensive player day to keep an eye on or important player Devin Bush, Devon, he's he's with the phrase I've been using with him in recent months is he's a championship caliber linebacker like if you were putting together a team that's going to beat whoever the national champion is Devon is what you're looking for at linebacker fast hits hard. Doesn't miss tackles gets to the quarterback is solid and coverage and one thing he can do that that might help. Michigan. Against wisconsin. He's just so much faster. I don't know if he's fast Jonathan Taylor. But he's probably faster than everyone else that they have on the team, you know, maybe maybe AJ Taylor as well. But you know, if there he's going to be able to close out some of those angles that Wisconsin's used to getting he's going to be able to get by offensive lineman. Who are we mentioned they're all over three hundred nineteen pounds. So just do some math. They're not gonna move as fast as him, and he'll be able to beat angles on them. And so so if he's able to get involved with some place because he hasn't quite had a a game that I think people expected him to have this year. I think people expected him, you know, to get fifteen tackles for loss and maybe six or seven sacks right now he has four tackles for loss and two sacks. And we're halfway through the season. And he only had he doesn't have them in his tackles are down to people had kind of pegged him as a triple digit tackle person thing about us. He hasn't had a tackle for loss in either the last two games. Yeah. And he was. Very quiet against northwestern one tackle neck. Yeah. And it only six last week. I know that was kind of a, you know, I'm not looking into the stats against Maryland too much. But yeah, he's been quiet by by his standards more so than the ba- by linebacker standards. But he's someone that can really have a breakout game. And I think I think if you're a championship caliber linebacker plays like a championship caliber linebacker, and I don't know what. Wisconsin's offense is gonna look like in that case. I don't think it'll look very good. So he'd be he'd be a very important player for for Michigan's defense. No, I'm right there with you. In fact, I was considering Devon Bush, and then I'm going to pivot and be really good at my job and and move on to somebody else. But I mentioned the mentioned the lack of tackles for loss in the last two games. I mean, here's a stat. Now, look some of these stats. I I don't think this is can be can be. Attributed to demo Bush, but he'd never tackle for loss against Michigan state last year. Penn State last year, Ohio State or South Carolina. Four losses. He's an impact player. You need them to be an impact player, you need him to be someone that is harassing the quarterback someone that is getting that key stopped behind the line of scrimmage, and now he is facing that offensive line as you mentioned in Jonathan Taylor. This is the best group that he's gonna face all season. It's time for Bush. This is when you become an all American is when you have big games against the best. That's when you start looking into creeping into the first round draft boards too. So I gonna say I'm a pivot. Go of my players to watch are going to be those two interior defensive tackles. Rashawn Gary is going to play in this game way whoever's playing whoever's playing I don't know specifically because it could be Lawrence Marshall, Brian Manet could be Carlo camp if they get one of the guys back Lawrence Marshall has played really well this year relative expectations, and so is Brian Monet. But this is this is big time. Now, this is this is seven thirty pm Saturday night, Wisconsin, it seemed to loves to run the football, you're considered probably the biggest weakness on the Michigan defense. They're coming right at you. They're going to run up right up, the gut. What are you guys going to be able to do are you going to be ready for that? So yeah, if Michigan's going to have success and keep Jonathan Taylor two four four and a half yards per carry and win this game along the you know in the trenches, then it's the most those two defensive tackles confident Rashawn Gary confident and chase win averge feel good of Aden Hutchinson..

"I mean, he's only going to be a redshirt junior this year. So I've been watching him since his freshman year. I think he's got Pro Bowl, talent. I love during my Jones. I'm really excited about what he can be. He was banged up last year. I know he didn't have the year that he was kind of hoping for was third team all conference still. I expect this kid to have a really monster year. This year, who are the other inside guys in the big ten that you've got on your watch list? I'll I guess you start with his teammate, Robert Landers who has also been kind of banged up and he's going to get more rep just because of the amount of players they lost on that Ohio State defensive line. Last remember. All the rotation that we saw from that Buckeye group and they like to slide those defensive ends insides or Landers was the guy that came off the field a lot. So I would say Robert Landers for cer- for sure. From Wisconsin, they've got that big nose tackle sag Apollo olive segway polo from Wisconsin, keep an eye on him and the interior of that badgers, defensive line Cedric Lattimore from Iowa and underclassmen that I've heard nothing but really good things about some excited to dig into him. Rake Juan Williams from Michigan state is another big body that can play on the outside or on the inside that I'm excited to watch more of Carlos Davis from Nebraska. A really disruptive player. The production has been there throughout the course of his career. I'm excited to watch him this year and then Lorenzo Neal, the son of the former all pro fullback is at Purdue. He's a big nose tackle. He's athletic. I'm excited to watch him because I from what I've heard, he's been really active and really disruptive upfront for the Boilermakers. Wow, that makes me feel old. Okay, let's keep it moving. And let's get to be. Edge players. There's a bunch of good ones that Ohio State and Michigan. Yeah, Nick Bosa is really, really talented and I'm not look. We talked about Joey Bosa when he was coming out when I watched Joey Bosa his true sophomore year, I would say he's probably a little bit further along the where Nick is now. I've probably at that time I Joey Bosa surefire top five pick. I would say Nick Bosa right now to me, looks like the top fifteen top twenty pick. So we're, we're kind of splitting hairs here, but Nick Bose's six, four. He's over two hundred sixty pounds. He's he's athletic. He really knows how to use his hands well at a really high level, especially for such a young player. So the way that he's able to put things together, I think is really impressive for such a young kid. Again, just a true, sophomore last year, he was the big ten offensive line or defensive lineman of the year. Last year. First team, all conference led the team in sacks. One of the best defensive lines in the country led them TSL's as well. Again uses hands very well. He's got a good idea of how to attack offense of Lyman. When I'm most interested to see with Nick boasts this year number one, can you get a little bit better against the run? There were times where they were just kind of let turn him loose and pass only situations, and you'd see guys like Sam Hubbard, Jalen homes and Tai Kwon Lewis. And those guys in there on early downs. I want to see Nick Bosa be that fulltime player this year off the edge for Ohio State and really show himself as a run defender. If he can prove himself there. I think that's gonna do wonders for him and kind of how teams you again, I think he's still going to be. He's a surefire first round pick if he were to Clare we're talking about is he going to boost himself up into that top five range, at least in my is really, really talented player. And then there are tribal Michigan. They've got a couple of guys that are certainly worth talking about the the big name is respon- Gary same class as Nick Bosie. He's going to be a true junior, different body type, six, five, two hundred eighty seven pounds. From what I've heard, he's dropped a little bit of weight there, but a freak athlete in terms of his test scores, I would say that athletes from does show up on film. You do see that quick. I stay. Yup. You see that ability to turn..
