How the attack on Washington, DC's U.S. Capitol unfolded: A reporter's perspective
"Insurrection at the. Us capitol building on wednesday has taking stock of democracy in america. This hour we start with gray segers licko reporter for cbs news. I was in the capital on wednesday reporting mainly from the senate chamber what started as a historic day in the capital. Where for only the third time. In history congress was debating whether to overturn the votes of thousands of americans ended with violence and tragedy full. You know it's funny. I did expected to be a bit of a weird day because of the inherently unusual thing of having dozens of republicans challenge the election results in several states which is pretty much unprecedented. Mr vice president. I paul gosar from areas does the gentleman from arizona. I rise up for myself and sixty my colleagues to object to the difficult day day which would require a lot of concentration and very exactness in my report and then everything was just flipped upside down so suddenly. You can't have electron ix in the senate chamber. Would i usually do is. I'm in there for about thirty minutes or so. And then i'll come out for five minutes to write an email to my editors. Let everyone in the bureau. What's going on. So i had actually come out of the chamber and was in the press gallery writing an email and then all of a sudden i heard a senate gallery. Staffer shout pence has left. He had just been taken out of the room. And i assume that it was for security purposes and that My first thought was a. Wow i guess those protesters outside have gotten a bit more rowdy and then the next thing i knew there was a capital police officer at the door of the senate press gallery saying lock that gohmert now just shouting it through the room and i realized oh my god this is this is serious and then the officer was telling all of us who were in the press gallery outside of the chambered me to grab your stuff and you need to get inside the chamber and we are going to lock you inside. The chamber definitely kind of illegally took my took my phone and laptop into the chamber 'cause i i needed to tell my editors that i was alive and also telling my loved ones that i was okay and next thing i knew the the doors were being locked behind us. The press. gallery sort of overlooks the senate chamber floor. So it's kind of like the lip of fish bowl and the reporters are looking over this list into the fishbowl. Where all the senators are on the floor. It was very clear that something was wrong. All senators pretty much. Where on their phones standing looking extremely stressed and there were police officers. All around the doors. Senator amy klobuchar could on kind of her best mom voice and shouted a shots have been fired getaway from the doors. This is serious. There came a point where all of a sudden senators were being evacuated and it seemed for a moment that they were going to leave the reporters in the senate chamber which would have been very unfortunate as riders broke into the chamber just moments after senators had left but fortunately a senate gallery staff shouted down. You know hey what about us. Police officers just told us okay. Follow the senators. They were literally steps away

"I was wondering how often two to two to three percent of the time so this is more than a helmet. This is like if i was throwing a hail. Mary succeed one hundred. I can't even get a good spiral on football. So yeah i just think it's. It's kind of astonishing that we end up with the same result electorally. But there's a seven eight million votes swing. That's bananas yeah. I mean the electoral college. You know again this is. I'm sure a lot of your viewers and listeners. Feel this 'cause. I get a lot from cnn's audience. I mean people hate the electoral college and it kind of makes no sense. I mean if you had to explain to. If a martian came down and said how do you choose your leader. We're like well. It's actually not just who gets the most votes. Let it sit back and let me explain. The lady of the lake Came forth with excalibur. And it's a crazy system but but the reality is we want. This will be our system forever. Yeah yeah strange. Electors lying around in ponds distributing swords is no way to run a democracy. But but yeah and it is the only way to change that is with the constitutional amendment and the only way to get that is that republicans will have to agree that to to demolish the only way they have to win any election in the future. And it's just going to happen. There's no way. I mean you would need two-thirds of the house. Two thirds of the senate and three quarters of the states. I mean i mean look. The electoral college advantages the smaller states. The lower population states it disproportionately advantages them. They'll never vote against it. And i guess i don't blame them. I mean i guess if i lived in one of those small states i don't know but yeah we would have to amend the constitution. I actually wonder if we're ever thinking about those thresholds two thirds of the house. Two thirds of senate three quarters of states. Are we ever going to end this thing again. Like is there ever going to be an issue that we all agree on that level of consensus. It's it's actually been twenty eight years since we last amended. It's been nine hundred ninety two so now wondering if we we've reached the last well if anyone can do it. millennials x. files in gen z Good luck yeah beat godspeed to you. Because i know that they hate it. I know the thing we should do. So the if we're going to amend the constitution. Here's something that maybe we'll get enough support for this. This provision the constitution that in order to be president of the united states. You have to be a natural born citizen right you. I mean look i get. I get the idea that person to be a citizen but let's change it so so you don't have to be born in the united states. I mean who cares right this this dates back to when we were afraid that some tory sympathizer from england would come over here. You know at age five and become the your candidate and win the presidency and give us back to king george or something like this is ridiculous. I mean you know pre a friend of mine. I think in front of yours to is born in india like he can't be president. I mean that's that's outrageous. You know my wife born in england. Now she's a citizen. I think she's quite smart Can't be can't although. I do tell her. You're kind of what the framers had in mind. The person born in england who comes over here but let's get rid of that. We can get two-thirds in two thirds and three quarters behind. That can't we had another xenophobia. Even entire country is founded upon immigration. I don't know that that's going to be. That's gonna fly unless we have some sort of Maybe republican candidate. That wants to be run right exactly. Yeah yeah. I can't even think of ted cruz born in canada right but but everyone agreed that that was okay and right wasn't john mccain born in the panama canal zone or something to military parents but we we all kind of said ed. Good enough is both. His parents are citizens and they were on sort of a siamese military or diplomatic or something. So yeah right. yeah yeah. So or you know arnold schwarzenegger but he's got a democrat now. Good example arnold schwarzenegger whatever you may think of them. The man was governor of california. I mean to say he can't he can't run for president because he's born. I guess austria that. That's silly we don't need that. I i concur. Maybe that's the one. Yeah or the equal rights amendment but probably more likely the natural born citizen. Anyway thank you very much for coming on. Everybody don't panic. Don't panic as douglas. Adams would say. Do not panic. Don't panic. Everyone's got their towel. We're going to get him out of office. And and finally you know law enforcement wise. And i think i'm right on this and i just want to double check. Milly has come out and said we're not getting involved in keeping him in or getting him out. We're not no. He's he's done that like three or four times now. Either in press statements or video or press conferences who is responsible for the physical removal of the man if he refuses if he puts his feet on the door jamb like a toddler. Ryan refuses to leave the office at the secret service. Yeah that would be secret service. At that point he becomes no different than me storming in the. What if they if they found in the white house like what is this guy. Get this guy head of hair. Yeah no they'd walk you out on your feet though they would drag him. Yes yeah for sure. But i i also don't think the president it'll be a shame but you know january twentieth inauguration day is always one of those great moments in democracy. Really whatever side. You're on i mean i. It's it's it's maybe it's corny but it always feels good to see the outgoing president the incoming president. They have their brunch or tea together and they shake hands and they need for the cameras. And you know all that. I don't think he'll do that. I don't think. I think he's going to use the tunnel system. Y'all think he's gonna use that tunnel system and sneak out. Nobody can see him do his loser walk of shame or or he'll just go to one of his golf properties and never return. That's what i think. I think he'll go to mar-a-lago unlike christmas. And it'll never step foot back in the white house. That's that's that's what i think he's gonna do. Yeah and either try to pardon himself from there or resign and hopefully pens pardons and i know there's a battle going on right now. I know that. I i mean i don't have any evidence but i i can just see trump trying to convince bar to write an essay. President can pardon himself and bars. Like i'm not gonna fucking do that. And then and so then. He's like pens. Can we please have a port and pens like dude if i over one a career in this fucking world again. No i can't do that. So he's he's trying to figure out how what his exit strategy is and he's burned his britches and it's just gotta be wonderful but what. Yeah i will try to pardon himself. I wouldn't shock me. No no wouldn't shock me. It should shock everybody. But i wouldn't surprise me. I guess i'll say if he tries it. Yeah yeah that's how we say everything shocking but unsurprising but yeah. I don't know that that would hold up in court If if there were tried to indict him after the fact and said all right well let's take this Self pardoned court and see how that holds up. But that'd be the only way to really find out you have someone to pull the trigger on the diamond. And then he would make a motion to dismiss. But i've been pardoned and then it would come down to the courts which be damn fascinating. Let me say that. Yeah especially with the balance the way that it is all right. Well thank you very much. Cnn analyst former state and federal prosecutor. Eliahu i appreciate your time today. Thanks thanks rapidly. Art everybody stick around. We'll be right back with dr linda. Service's yes Yeah that's only a thousand scare. Moody's and i although six hundred sixty and seems fitting doesn't it g eleven thousand six sixty six. Yeah i mean you guys couldn't get one more person they're like. Come on bob in on come on we got defeat anyway. Total totally embarrassing and it should go to the narrative that we've been saying for so long there are so many more of us than there are of them They seem loud because they have a platform now called the internet And all of this trump bluster about these millions of supporters. And it's all it's all it's all tv it's all a show. It's all smoke and mirrors. He doesn't have zillions of supporters. He doesn't it's the real and we didn't have the uprising Day we didn't have You know people like the department of justice bad cops with guns in polling places. I mean there were some some in some places. But i think we were all very afraid and expecting terrible terrible things but it's just not there it's just all it's all smoking mirrors have a lot more show for you. I'll be right back with ellie hoenig. We're going to discuss the issue of potential faithless. Electors that everyone's talking about and state legislatures That people are worried could delay the certification of elections And we're gonna talk about how that's not going to happen. And then later. I'll be speaking with dr linda. Seger about misguided trump supporters and religion. And one way he can bridge the divide in our communities. So it's a very interesting conversation. I appreciate you allowing me to get a little buzzed appreciate. That was a good time. And i hadn't had wine in a very long time so i appreciate the grace. That was a fun. Happy hour then and then. I did absolutely nothing on saturday. Other than i. Binge watched queen's gambit so so so so good yeah. I need to find more because the reason i was the reason i stayed in bed all day saturday because i was on a bunch of pain. I really have to just like start not doing anything on saturdays. Not because i'm injured but just because just so just so have a day off. It was lovely. I'm going to start doing that now. You'd need the day off. You need a day outside injuries. Yeah so queen's gambit so good whole other podcast we could do. I saw hilarious tweet. It was like i'm so mad. I got the mediocre looking orphan. Whose sucks at chess. Which was hysterically someone. She's a very lovely. She's a lovely woman for sure. And let's see so saturday. Did nothing trump conceded this morning. Kind of he. He put a tweet out that said he won blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Like a bunch of shit after that and everybody basically took that tweet and erased everything that followed he won and then re tweeted and said fixed it and so and then he said something else about joe won the election only because of whatever whatever so at least now he's saying can't believe that we're like who is bright side here. He's saying that he lost. He just is lying about why he did. I'm so mad at what he's done. Having day of anger of what he has done to this country now listen. I know we have work to do before this. But the reality shit show. He's made and just In folding these people that embraces conspiracy theories. I was mad at a man today. A man yeah. It's the accuracy it really is. I'm also hearing from the biden campaign that he's considering preet berrara to head up the securities and exchange commission. Which would be awesome. I know a lot of people want it to be the attorney general. I don't know if he's i haven't seen a list of potential attorneys general yet. I haven't seen that pick list. Assuming they're waiting on that could be a very divisive famous. We know trump is in a lot of legal trouble and they're considering angus king. The independent senator from vermont. That could be tapped as the director of national intelligence somebody with actual intelligence experience at the office of jersey rector of national intelligence. I know rue so. That'll be interesting and then today also in the show. I'm going to be talking to dr linda seger. She's written an incredible book called. Jesus wrote a donkey Basically jesus democrat. But here's how we can reach across the aisle and kind of bridge that divide not necessarily between us and like racist nazis. But you know us in folks who have differing opinions about the social politics because of religion and so that's very very interesting conversation. And then i'll talk to ellie hoenig to about why everyone needs to chill out about faithless electors because it's not going to happen so we have a lot to get to Let's.
World Series Game 6: Rays decision to pull Blake Snell immediately backfires
"Kevin cash taking up. Blake, Snell in the sixth inning last night with one and one out and a one nothing lead snow had been brilliant to that point no runs no walks nine strikeouts. The move backfired immediately the dodgers got two quick runs off Nick Anderson added another later in the game on a home run by Mookie Betts and won the world series. We'll bond. Can you defend what cash did? No And I don't WanNa hear anybody else tried defended either because some things are just indefensible and this is one of them Tony I I'm offended by what I saw last night just somebody who grew up on baseball whose I love and sport was baseball played baseball pitch and just offensive. So numbers are so important to you Kevin cash that you can't use your eyes which is supposed to be professionally trained and steeled, and you've been benched coach and manager then all these days and you don't know when you need to leave the guy alone you. WanNa, take the game away from the players take the game away from a starting pitcher whose lights out who the other team is. Now, not afraid of going Oh my God is shaking their heads and you don't have the baseball since in you to leave him alone and ride your good fortune to have this guy going this. Well, totally I was in contact via text with a couple of former recent former notable major league baseball players, and they were as startled about this development as I was and I just couldn't. No. There's no defending it. Yeah I'M GONNA. Give it a shot at defending human I'm going to preface it by saying if we don't learn from history, we're always going to be doomed to repeat it Kevin. Cash. Has Seen Blake Snell. He has managed Blake Snell for years. Now he's seen them all year. He hasn't gone through the sixth all year I'm going to read from my notes Ziara in these playoffs in the first four innings where he's been great as one point three, five from then on it's twelve point five, six last week Snell no hit the dodgers for four and two thirds and Then, in rapid order walk homer walk single and cash has seen all of this the last guy up before he gave him, the Hook was the ninth patron, the order, and he hit a rope to center field, and now at this point you've got bets and you've got SEGER coming up for a third time. The mistake isn't Yanking Snell to me the mistake is putting in Anderson Innocence the wrong guy in the regular season he's lights out but in the playoffs is over five and Mike and his last six appearances, he's allowed to run I I I understand that Kevin? Is. An. Easy target and a totally legitimate target. I just think in this case, he had seen Snell all year and the hulk wasn't as bad as what he did home. You're not playing lifetime achievement. You're playing the damn game tonight right? You is your sense of everything. This is your livelihood I don't care what he did last week. This guy has given up one hard hit ball maybe a second heart. It Ball. Alright. So yes, you got what you're saying about bringing a guy in who's been lit up lately I don't WanNa go that far I don't care who he had going warmed up. You have got a guy on the mound that has the other people in the other Doug. If you're a manager the time we know you're watching them to and they are shaking their heads when they walk back to. The dugout he has stymied them. If you're not smart if all you're doing is playing probability Tony, then go work at the win in Vegas I don't WanNa see you near a baseball diamond. So let me go back into this for a second because it's something we'll have to live with if he never wins forever in the way that great little does the way the Darryl bevill does. Making these what appear to be bonehead calls but I would tell you Dave Roberts said the same thing with Clayton Kershaw he let him pitched to two batters in the sixth inning whenever it was and he knew that Ziara after a certain point was bad and he took them out to protect him and to make sure the dodgers won that game I think managers do this I don't. You know I'm not crazy about analytics I don't WanNa take an anti intellectual viewpoint here that I think that certain people it's absurd managers rely too much on numbers and not enough on you but I think the mistake was who he put in not what we took out. One of the guys I was texting with last night we might be said half the front office is in baseball would have done this and it's not just a managers front office last night was bad night for Baseball Tony. You could say baseball's we at five. We know better than somebody even most cases who's twenty five years old. It's a sad night for baseball that a guy pitching a masterpiece. What are you take? You defendant Kevin Casting Colfax or Gibson? That's the kind of performance. This guy was spinning last night and he took them out and it's a sad night. It's a sad night for baseball I don't care how anybody who wants to defend it or painted even Kevin cast I don't care what he has to say.

Los Angeles Dodgers Game Tonight
"Story game, one of the world's Siri's between our Tampa Bay Rays and the Los Angeles Dodgers. It kicks off at eight tonight. Yesterday we had raised baseball insider from 95 3 w. D. A Steve Kearney on to give us a preview from the res perspective. So today I wanted to have someone on to take us inside the Dodgers organization, and there's only one person you want for something like that. Joining me now on the hotline is Andy McCullough, former baseball writer for the L. A. Times and now senior writer for the athletic You can follow his reporting on Twitter at by McCullough, Andy. Thank you so much for taking some time to explain to raise fans what they're up against in this Siri's and let's start with the fact that Dodgers have been a contender for years Now. What's held them back from winning a world serious title? Well, kind of. Yeah, I mean, I guess the short answer was 2017. They played it. He may have been cheating on me. You know, in 2018. They played a team who was better than them talk to also were subsequently accused of, you know, fine feeling and punished for it legally. And then last year, they kind of like bungled their pitching set up in the NLDS in law. Do you know the team that won the World Series? The national? I mean, I guess nothing kept him back. I guess if you wantto concede all that stuff is their death players have not played At their best in the highest levels. Moment, of course here, including Challenger did not hit particularly well in your courses. 18 Clayton Kershaw on Kendall Jansen and had some high profile sort of, you know failures in the post season, So I mean, it's really just, you know, they're superstars haven't played, you know as well as they could have, And that's really how you win in October is your best players have really, really well. Tell us about the changes the Dodgers made going into this season to try to finally take that next step. I mean, they traded for movie death, and that is a big one. I mean, yeah, like it's simple, but it's also pretty profound. The effect he had on the team. I mean, you just thought in the end, he didn't even hit particularly well. But in the field I mean Indian 5 67. He made a really like like game changing eventually reason saving catches. Huge defensive, please. When you add a player like that reduces the pressure on guys like Seger and Gallinger, and just because we know they know that you're gonna have some sort of value added that that way, and so that's the big thing is that they were the best team in baseball without you know, last year and, you know, add a guy who's you know, probably The second best player in the floor behind my trial to add him to the roster. I mean, it just It was a really game changer that that's a different issue. I'm joined by senior writer for the athletic Andy McCullough, who's been following the Dodgers for years. You can follow him on Twitter at by McCullough. How
What to Expect From the Dodgers and Rays in World Series
"And the World Series Tonight Clayton Kershaw in game one will tell the rubber for keys dodgers against Tyler glass. Now at the brand new home gonNA turn him in the grass for sure. We'll see if that glass will shatter or maybe the Raizal. Ceiling and win their first world series. It'll be played at the brand new home of the Texas Rangers Globe. Life Field expect about twelve thousand fans or so in attendance, and as you know, it has been a tale of two different halves for Clayton Kershaw, a regular season is dominant. A dominant gets postseason has certainly been that way obviously most of the dodger defenders we'll tell you when you take on somebody in the postseason, the quality competition certainly ratchets up. Game. Tonight pre game coverage ESPN, radio seven, thirty eastern, and every single night that we have the world series every ball every strike pre-game radio seven, thirty, eastern. I just. In the world series is not very good because like five or something five point four, zero in the world series, which is not going to bring it down tonight though we'll see we'll see. The rays have some guys you've never heard of but by this time tomorrow, that's certainly may change including the great rookie randy arose arena. If you see him tonight, he is one of the greatest splashes onto the postseason seen we have seen in many years. All right. So put your dodger cap your cap on literally, and figuratively, what do you think in tonight? One of the biggest moments in the managerial career Dave Roberts who's been feeling the strain I think since day once we first of all, it's going to start with the. Pitching Right Kershaw has to come out and he has to deal and we have to back him up and support him. We're runs the last several outings for him. We really haven't done anything with our bats for whatever reason that's the struggling part of it. If you remember several days ago I had mark to share on our show. Yeah we have more share on our show in in question I asked him about the pressure of a pitcher in those innings you get to the fifth sixth inning and you're still battling in a one. To one situation, we've gotTA give him some room to play with and I think it starts with him on the mound. But also, what are bats the guys like Bellenger even though something maybe a little wrong with his shoulder you gotta hope that a guy like that comes through in J. T. and seger stays hot that way we can get some runs and now kershaw could relax at the mile it pitch like he's capable of pitching can appreciate the fact that even though the dodgers of the second highest payroll and the rays have the twenty eighth highest payroll. At Twenty, eight, million dollars highest she'd player. D. appreciate the fact that they they are. They're frugal when she talked about their payroll all the time. That's the first thing he go to talk about the raise the payroll. We're saving money over here. You can still compass a championship. Would you can. You gotta tip your cap to them as a former pro athlete that's played in a variety of organizations with a variety of different approaches. The fact that they're at this stage for the second time in franchise history utilizing the exact same plan. Let's spend less and win more. Plan works to raise and Andrew Freeman certainly put plan in place for them and they've taken over and they've done well with it. The dodgers aren't doing tell Andrew Friedman is the guy that's leading the dodgers essentially got the job because he put the in such great position in his tenure there from two thousand, six to two, thousand, fourteen, four playoff appearances, two division titles, and now he wants to do as much as he can to make sure he can squash that raised team he built and the culture he formed

"You know, that's not a sellout. That's a way to get their music out there now remember is and his, Albert says it's viewed as capitalizing on it, You know, not selling out. It's interesting when you know the Rolling Stones. I think they did an ad for Microsoft. Start me up or was that? Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. And then the arm was Adele. Anyway, Bob said. They were on a commercial, young body bunch of truck stuff, you know, and I'm like I'm still a huge fan. I never felt like it's selling out. But you know, there were some pure pure music male fans who would feel that way when would stop buying their albums. Well, here's the story on Bob Seger Justcause you mentioned. I want t get Teo H e B And I want Teo. You know the cloning Barrett nominee Amy Cloney. Barret, I've come colliery. She'd be just for the you know, for the sake of, you know, ease of it, but anyway The thing with Bob Seger is that he donated that to the Detroit automaker. I want to say was GMC or said Chevrolet or something he donated that track the use of that track. He never got a dime for that interesting. Yeah, because he's a Detroit guy. And he felt that Detroit needed support. And so Bob Seger donated like a rock to the Detroit automaker. I want to say GMC or Chevrolet. Something like that. And they used it. I think for five or six or even seven years, you know, it's a great great song and perfect for their trucks. You know, they did their pickup trucks show. And what was the story on the Chevy Silverado? Yeah, that Chevy. Okay, That's really interesting, though. He must be doing well. I mean, he doesn't need the money, too. You know? Oh, no, I think he's doing really well. I mean, Bob Seger had I did a deep dive on him. I'm talking about a deep dive, like from an informational standpoint, and he has all of these different sort of tributaries of revenue from all of his hit songs. He had so many I wanted to talk about something. Do we still have a collar or not? No. Yeah, Adrian still standing by his. He's Anapa. OK, Adrian in Napa. I wanna get you in a second, but I want a kind say something totally superficial and awful that you'll hate me for on this. Amy Connie Barrett thing. I can't get over her voice. Her voice sounds like a little kid. And again, That's what I mean. When I say I know it's superficial, and, you know, but but listen to her voice. I believe Americans of all backgrounds deserve an independent Supreme Court. I mean, I think like I feel like it's 1/5 grade class in six. All right, Amy, Thank you. Do you have anything more that interprets our Constitution and laws as they're written? Well, obviously, your parents wrote that for you, Amy. I don't believe that you wrote that and I believe I can serve my country by playing that role. I believe Americans of all backgrounds. Interesting to me. I just think that she has a really young sounding board. There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, it's just striking. You know, I think your daughter Kelsey Burkhardt. Sounds older than the Supreme Court nominee. Well, Albert, you have do you have. Do you have Kelsey member Should that track for us, she said. Like I'm listening to my favorite show. You haven't I am Kelsey Burkhardt. And you're listening to my favorite radio show The Mark Thompson show featuring Mark and my dad read Burkhardt. Now Here's my 1000. You see how she sounds, Sounds young, young and energetic, but believe Americans of all backgrounds independent Supreme Court absolutely sounds younger. It does Wow and And Chelsea's 18 just for context. A CB sounds like she's 11 years old. Now there's not again I'm not judging her her her bona fide us in the world of jurisprudence, Okay, and I'm just talk. That's why I say it's a superficial, stupid thing. But I just can't get over it when she speaks. Maybe we gotta change Ffb, maybe fresh face fresh face. Barrett. Americans of all backgrounds deserve an independent Supreme Court. Let's take the call. I'm sure you're listening from the 415 who agrees with you, Amy. Sounds like she's 23 years old is what your listeners I think it's way less than 23. But yeah, there you go. Uh, alright. Mark Thompson here on cage away, 10 and hi Adrian and Napa. Thanks for waiting there all of that high there. Good morning. I'm the one that was dealing with the fires. What a month a couple months ago, so give me this place to speak. Of course. You know one of the things just go actually touch on your point. Well, of course, I wouldn't make fun of anyone's voice. Most of the trump nominees are in their thirties and forties. And so even far past, Trump Perhaps leaving of this planet. Those people will be here for decades. And so one of the things I wanted to share about this whole world that we're dealing with right now. You know, Obama was in 12 for eight years, he only past 55 federal judges. And that was due to the obstruction from McConnell and we're now at 53 federal judges with a four year term of Trump. I would also like Tio just point out. Out of all of those. People that were nominated. 28 out of 200 were people of color now It's fine, right? Like they're in power. But I want to tell all your listeners is We must continue to vote down ballot. Ifyou're moderate. Well, even if you're just a sensible Republican these days. Dealing with democracy, democracy being at the threat of this president. If you don't continue to vote your your school board leaders and you don't really participate in this democracy, it will leave us. It is true that the down ballot stops critical and by the way, just on that point when you look at Coke money, and you look at Coke Brothers focus, it's on a lot of down ballot races. The kind of Marquis stuff which is top of ticket president, of course, would be the Cleanest example in the highest profile example that does distract from where the rial business of life is done, which is down ticket by the way just to. I think you're way low on the number of appointments that federal I want to say federal Fed federal judges under Trump Have been somewhere in the I think over 200 appointees thus far. Maybe I'm wrong on that, But you can check it, but I think it's way more than 56. Yeah, Google it if you want to, and I think and I would like to agree with you as well on diversity. Then there really isn't any diversity. That's even on par with Obama. That was obviously a priority for him with trumpets, mostly white men. And I mean overwhelmingly the number of men who have received judicial appointments under Trump. Who are, you know? Well, if you just go Mento women 76% of the appointments for under Trump have been men..
End of Abe era leaves Japan still searching for way forward
"Your Shahida Suda as the country's new prime minister on Monday. 71 year old Mr Suder was overwhelmingly elected as the leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, replacing Shinzo Abe has dominated Japanese politics for the past eight years. Mr was expected to serve until the end of next year, but announced suddenly he was stepping down last month, pleading poor health. There's now concerned that Japan could be about to return to what became known as revolving door politics when the country changed Prime Minister's almost every year, Rupert Wingfield Hayes reports. Yeah. You see that pit shuttle get this's something No one would have predicted even a few weeks ago. 71 year old Yoshida super being proclaimed leader of Japan's all powerful Liberal Democratic Party. And by default, the country's new prime minister. Mr Sugar is not known for his charisma or his oratory. And as he made his rather ponderous victory speech, you can hear why you know anybody. Ronnie. Still cocaine. I want to break down bureaucratic divisions invested interests, he says on the blind adherence to president indication to form a cabinet that will work hard for the people. That takes a kike Agos, Cary Most Japanese, No, Mr Sugar as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's long serving grim faced spokesman Up till now. He has always been a backroom guy. A fixer. He has none of the charm or diplomatic skills. Mr Abba used TTO win over President Donald Trump. But according to those who know him like economists and long term Tokyo resident Yes, Bacall, Mr Sugar brings other attributes to the game. Here is a man who gets up at five o'clock in the morning. Does 100 sit ups and then reads all the newspapers and by 6 30. He's starting meetings right with business people with advisers, you know, with outside economists, he absorbs like a sponge and wants to get things done for the country. He's not interested in any of the glitz or blink that comes with war nongovernment. The problem for Mr Suder. Is he has no mandate from the Japanese people. His elevation to the top job was a stitch up by L. V P. Party bosses in smoke filled back rooms. Perhaps because of that much is being made of Mr Segers Humble background. The son of a strawberry farmer, he worked in a cardboard factory to pay his way through college. He's certainly very different from most of Japan's recent prime ministers like Mr Abbott, the silent of a powerful political dynasty, but in the scheming world of Japanese politics Rashid, a circus. Humble origins could also be his undoing. According to Professor Koichi Nakano of Tokyo's Sophia University. Mr Silva comes from a humble background. He really doesn't have his own power base. You know, he doesn't belong to any faction on DH. He actually, you know, Rose to power because he was Mr B's preferred choice on the party bosses rally behind him, You know, emergency situation. But once the emergency situation is gone, and once the party bosses study realized that they're not getting all they wanted. I'm sure there's going to be past trouble. They're both from
Pelosi calls for removal of Confederate statues from U.S. Capitol
"The battle over the removal of Confederate monuments is quickly turning into a partisan one in Washington house speaker Pelosi is pushing to remove Confederate statues from the capitol president trump is drawing a line in the sand over the renaming of military bases Seger says those statues have to calm down because she says there's no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the confederacy but the president sees this differently he is flatly rejecting those calls to remove the names of Confederate commanders from U. S. military bases each even though the secretary of defense and the secretary of the army are open to it but in a tweet the president said these monumental and very powerful bases have become part of a great American heritage and his press secretary says that removing these names would be complete disrespect for the soldiers who train to

Chase Briscoe confirmed at Stewart-Haas Racing for 2020
"Risky brisky is in studio. What's happening what's up chase briscoe nothing? I'm busy busy busy whole big time over here. I'll know about that has re upped with Tony Stewart at Stewart House Racing Gene Haas to compete again in the expended series. And I could be more exciting. I thought you were awesome last year in the car. You know got win in Iowa and I think you should contend for a championship. Don't you think yeah I think yeah pretty good you know. We don't have a ton of changes. I mean roles wise. It's the same. We have a new body on the Mustang. But yeah I mean there's going to be the first time in my career I've been able to go back with the same team in the same crew chief so looking forward to what do you think of the new pitstop procedures that were just announced. Yeah I just saw literally about thirty minutes ago but I think you you know at Iowa. I don't really think it's going to change anything but I do feel like at the road courses. It's GonNa Change them completely because there's no more short pitting anymore. There's no more flipping stages so so for me. I think it's a little bit worse. Because now you're going to have awesome syndrome out front in maintaining track position the hallway. So it's going to make it harder. I think to win the road course races because it's GonNa take a lot of the strategy out of it but it's hard to say right now we haven't done it yet so it's hard to say what it's going to be like but yeah I think it's going to be easier to maintain track position on a road course so fast on a road course. I think it's definitely a positive for you for sure. The move really helps money-wise for some of these smaller teams but the cup series teams were flying people into standalone races to do the crew and some of them have their own crews. I guess but a lot of the Rian flying flown end so that costed everything kind of brings that cost down but I agree with you. The road course racing is going to change that totally but as far as the racing product on track. It's not going to change that very much. Yeah I think you know it's not going to change the especially at the Iowa and the places like that Barocco where the fast guys stay up front so yeah. I think that's GonNa be the only place where you really see a difference in this new. Whatever you WANNA call? It rule changed. But I think it's going to be just normal Iowa and you can still pit when you want to pay it or whatever or you're just GONNA lose positions on pit road which like you said it's a good thing and it does definitely say the teams a lot of money if anything. It might make the racing a little bit better just because so you know if you have a guy like Ryan SEGER Jeremy Clements. That doesn't necessarily have the pick crew caliber of a pin skier Stewart. Haas if they can get up to sixth seventh or eighth or whatever or you know they can stay there now so dropping back five or six spots in a pit road so it's probably GonNa make the racing better the short tracks but you know it's hard to say I was going to do of course is this for you is. Is this the first time that you've since you've stock cars. You'll be in the same car two years in a row saint team but like same actual type of car era xfinity car in two thousand eighteen. I gotta run up not full-time. This will be the first time I've ever in two seasons full-time back. toback Gotcha so there's something to be said for that. I think a full year under your belt is going to be going to be good. Yeah I think you know last year specifically you know the first half of the year to the second half of the year was day now to be able to start the first half of the year where we ended the second half. I think

"Risk there. Obviously on the flip side of it at least for the the loop. We did the if push came to shove uh-huh like there was road access. Do most of the pounds we were villages we were staying and it was not good road access. It was not recommended road access but there was some level medical treatment available whether it was like a small walk in clinic or just a decent. You know I get behind the counter at some of the hotels the city but like I traveled a modem But like how do you deal with. bathrooms along the way. There are usually squat toilets but guess thousand thousand toilets every thirty or so minutes along the trail probably maybe an hour as long as we went without one yeah That's why I was. The hydrated was partly for not carrying water. I'm not drinking. I WANNA go back in the whole time like you know you've been around me when we traveled before I drink like a gallon of water a day on a good day at ground level or level and this was at elevation exerting myself and I drank ninety two liters. Yeah it's more like this. This idea of food poisoning was just one thought to mind are just like the idea of staying healthy while you're on the road because you are remote in. It's not like you can just pop into a pharmacy. Grab Trey quit on something. Yeah I'm so yes. We traveled with small blister packs of a few you of those things on a motive namely Japan real stuff But beyond that a a little so my plan is just hope for the best young adults. That'd be broken A little bit is just hope for the best and because like if I spend too much time thinking about all the problems we're going to do anything hang on next not any fun. Yeah and the impact too much or not at all. Let's announcing apple also like we we are carrying our own toilet paper yeah We imply imply for you know. Absolutely why because lighter nothing weak area or nothing because most of the police don't have any. Yep Yep Yep right so Then and you know that's part of travelers were in this region of the world south. Always Fun So next is Bhutan and and are you. Are you prepared for John. Are you more worried about Bhutan or is it more exciting. What's going on? They're less worried about it. Turns out travel to Bhutan on is one hundred per one hundred percent guided visits. You have to work with a tour operator you have to. I mean you can coordinate with them on the plan with the schedule is going to be bite bite. You basically don't have much choice in what you do And where you go and how you do it. So it's not like I can go to Bhutan land and then like bomb around for a couple of days Enough I told the guy that I just want to sit in town for us by When I was coordinating it was a friend? A friend of mine went over the summer. He sent me his guide. I didn't respond the web agent and respond. And then you've been terribly responsive so finally got booked Tom and he's a pediatric. This is what are typical four nights were looks like is this okay and I said it. Can we add a couple of things like this. He said Sharon than it was booked on. But it's it's two hundred and fifty bucks per person per day per night knitting everything war war it's Room and board are included on an access to you know whatever tourist facilities you visit. The drivers included all that but gratuity alcohol. Alcohol are not If there's you know whatever else whatever else we want to do so it's all inclusive but it's probably eighty five ninety percent inclusive catching um so. Yeah it was. I mean it was fine. What we'll be fine? I'm sure you know. How do I know what it will actually happen? No but it's four days four nights in lake. I think we'll see some stuff Supposed to be a really cool airport to fly in and out of some looking forward to that I should say we got screwed on her plate poem from the tracking back on Yeti Airways yesterday and unleashed and whether both Katmandu and poker off clogged in the airports and we had to take a car. So that your exemplifying yet is really is. I said I'm still trying to decide not to debate. If we're GONNA do wake up early one morning one of the tourist sites around Paris expensive but haven't gotten pileup with your now. I kind of walked. Yeah absolutely sweet anything else you WANNA talk about with regards to your trip now. I mean so far. It's actually running mostly head flight. Problems has been the ironically the biggest issues the ground has been fine but like our flight from Kuala for Singapore via qualify for up to Nepal was re timed and delayed this that we ended up missing light. Any chanting had of visiting K.. Hey out on the way up here but that was gonna be stupid anyway. So and then we've got another flight screwed up just the other day with the just mentioned the to Canada so also unfortunate Again that was another one. Where like you talk about like you have done it the same way either way and a lot of people do that without a guide reporter? I was very happy to pay for guidance. Order Not because they would have gotten lost because he knew who to call ahead to get hotel books hotels both in hotels were sold out Where we say? And that's actually when he really just thinking around the politics of worth talking they're trying to increase tourism by thirty percent year over year in two thousand twenty. There had one point two million visitors in two thousand eighteen. They'll be one point point five and twenty nineteen and they WANNA do two million in two thousand twenty. Wow and I get it because you know we bring good money. Why that's when you start looking at like a lot of the tracking stuff? The other sold out a lot of just even basic stuff like hotels get full in. Where are they gonNA put all these people? What are they gonNA do in other than sit in traffic in the smog of you are the bigger? Yeah it's it's a question of Yeah you WANNA grow at the same time medium structure in the facility that growth in the out there yet is can't yeah that that's going to be real interesting. Yeah well safe travels on your next leg of this adventure and let us know how the Internet it is. Yeah How's The New York You know it's I can stay home this week and kind of drift Jer Did you read the perspectives from Avatar Airlines. I did not I saw your your tweets mentioned inside of our chats. I've I I didn't know what have airlines was to be completely honest with so yet. He's our guys is that one. Take seven forty sevens in fly them with five hundred eighty seats on board on high density. high-density configure on high traffic routes like trans- picked like the biggest airport cities and connect all of them across the United States and are convinced the by the plane's for twenty five million each fully refurbished in ready to go out of the Graveyard's Bonia airplane graveyards and pressed them into service quickly. Yeah like I I most of the someplace Bernard's like waiting sandy checks so that they could get him out of that for under twenty twenty million is kinda crazy yeah. I'm pretty sure I mean. Almost all of them think require a certain this by link in the south that that was interesting to me But but then also remember the good old days when you didn't have to pay for anything on board. We're bringing paper all those extras when he travels like check back. Whatever we're bringing that back but also you have to pay food? Tanya thank you WANNA watch movies but the WIFI will be free. Because that'll be sponsored by an advertiser and the advertiser will pay more to Austin it will cost to deliver the service which is like acute idea but literally no other airline is figured that out yet the genius and Only four fair process only based all one way pairs only based on on advanced purchase requirement. So it'll be a thirty day. Twenty one fourteen or seventeen minute. Purchase on the fat and like transposons will be seventy ninety nine eight hundred nine hundred ninety one nine or something like that in the short haul flights will start at forty nine dollars expecting to sell seventy five percent of their seats at the cheapest thirty minutes purchase rate but also will fly at off peak hours because rated explicit in projects like people who are buying based on price. Don't care about what time they fly which is mostly true. But how you're GONNA find five hundred people apply from LAS VEGAS ORLANDO ON A random Wednesday. Yeah well you know I it comes back to this. You know these things that they're offering in saying you don't pay for you know I sent you a A reddit thread about an Oregon. Senator here trying to limit the fees. Right yeah yeah. The threat itself is hysterical. All.

"Helsinki Manchester One of our listeners. Actually sent this to us Pretty interesting stuff because you'll be able to buy that if it is actually three. Rbi He'll seek you to Manchester separately becomes a week on seventy seven Finnair flies the route daily so it. There's GonNa be competition there. It's interesting but I guess where I draw. The line is like does this mean that the Helsinki route isn't assesses. They wanted it to be so they're adding the tag like you try to build all the plane because they're not they're not running for local traffic. Yeah well do you think it's do you think Helsinki's an odd place for them to go anyway in Miami like it's just it's kind of like this one off route to doesn't make a ton of sense to me For relatively short to get to Europe true but Air Asia network within China Network. With Mathis that you have a seventy nine. It's something that you can't get all the way to Paris or London sharp there two hours longer flying con true and London. Slots are you an expensive I agree with you that Helsinki doesn't seem like a huge od. Marquette yet bite thin air and Finland in general has actually been working very hard and local airport according to make it a very china-friendly operation to the point that they have in the airport. You know chinese-speaking Officials in assistance available readily like they did things like added hot. Water taps for people make their tea and They they really are. And most that was driven by air air because of its connections in Asia because it is a faster route to Asia. Yea I think we talked about it. A couple of weeks Finnair's even adding gushing service than Beijing airport and they're not moving out of Vision capital they're just. They're adding ride the resistance growing in that market. So there is some precedent thereby I think a a lotta that was connecting traffic as you know two more pairs in London. And so why do you stop in Helsinki. I'm not entirely sure but you know there have been other routes. I'm trying to remember now which they were like. Remember it was Dublin or somewhere else had like a tad flight to connect on China and I think Cathay Tried Dublin and had to pull it back for even before the whole city collapsed into chaos and protests They had to go back a lot of a couple of New York designation so there have been some there long. There's there's a long flights I mean hard hard to make money. I'm very long flights. And so there's some question about how that's GonNa play But it's it is interesting to see the fifth freedom route pop up Am I gonNA automated. Apply it. No no now I I mean Helsinki's goal-bound Manchester's okay. I guess I can't say much. I have coworkers Manchester Chesterman humans to watch my mouth. I managed to avoid the brawl. I saw the street It is funny. People have told me told me in Manchester Mr there. There will likely be fighting the street which I what. I can vouch for that experience. Oh man so. Let's let's talk about Singapore. You were with your wife like your first stop right before you go into a pole. Yeah I had a conference there and had the back half of our cafe mistake. There's so I booked connected for Hanoi down and actually got to visit the Air Asia headquarters in Kuala bar type manager for a little bit of awesome awesome. Their headquarters is actually really nice. A really really nice space on. They're doing some really interesting things. I think how they expanded the long-haul again or they've got areas tax already but they if they try to come back to Asia Europe again and they're going to be interesting but they're doing some stuff like even before they fly the planes to Europe they are now selling Through a white label deal with hewing dot com in your area website. You can buy tickets to Europe. That's an interesting way of doing it. Are they trying to gauge. How many people are going to buy these tickets? The goal is partly that it's partly a sort of why only sell our own stuff we can be a not a and make money there on especially it was not competitive. Probably Not GonNa Stumble Lindo tickets. which is one of the line? Air Group is they're using earners in Southeast Asia are They can still sell some. Take it down to the point that is like do you want to be in the customer service business of delivering services for other airlines and how you take on responsibility even if not legally reputation Having sold that ticket Areas because I trust them about these tickets on those operated by this other line and they sucked in wanted area to sell this to me. Yeah right right. It's it's the codeshare problem but even worse because you actually don't even have a relationship with the operating airlines so that there's some some good instant bad that come out of it but the goal was like many companies to be a digital company. That just happens to run an airline and unlike many others. He's executing on that. Yeah Mama talking oughta insulting. It's an interesting. It's an interesting take just to you know. Hey we're GONNA WE'RE GONNA sell you don't know when. Is there anybody else doing that off. Someone mentioned to me that woodrow used to but I can't remember doesn't snake nurse five years ago four years ago but beyond that I really don't know of any airlines were on their website. They sell third party taking regularly Sort of certainly not to this level. So you know. It's interesting interesting on but anyway. Singapore went under Singapore. Had Smart there and then my wife met me and to start this rib. And we've been to Singapore together me a couple other guys might want for Labor Day who years ago And our experience was basically we landed which Bags off our hotels. We started eating and Dan. `Bout thirty six to forty eight hours later Notwithstanding some troubles with leading in some flights we lack town and in home having eaten a lot. I I don't remember doing anything else when we were there. We went to the island a contract. We did CINTOS when we did. The little like cable took the thing like the slalom. Run up a ride down those little cards okay. That's right that was attributed down Anyway I went with my wife. We also a lot. I think we hit four different Hawker or centers in a sixteen hour. We actually we actually found a couple museums. That were interesting. We walked through town and we went to the mosque down Arab street. But like I just can't figure out why people love it as a destination in lubbock going back over and over and over again. I mean I hate to that mouse Singapore badmouthing but it is a boring place to me like I keep looking in another friend. WHO's there right now And so I I keep looking at the places he's gone in the things thinks he's doing and it's you know there's gardens by the bay. There's like the crazy track. Three things There there is stuff to do. There's Cintos island if you like sitting on a beach like they can do that for you separate from the Weird Hill ride that we did and just there is stuff there by. I just can't for the life of me come up with like why I we WANNA go back and do those things much less. Do them over and over and over again yeah. I mean we've talked. I think we've talked about this on the show probably hundred fifty episodes About how it is a stopover city or that's feels that's what it feels like to me twenty four to forty eight hours and I've kind of had enough and I can eat everything I wanna eat. See the few things I want to see and be happy leaving I kind of I will just say it's not. It's not Hong Kong right. It's not it's not. It's a bustling city but it is also at the same time very quiet city especially at night. Yeah and I just don't know if it's nightlife or I feel like it's hard as an outsider to got got to get a feel for what the vibe of the city is other than like sleepy little town because I know it's not a sleepy little town. There's tons of stuff going on. He's got some nice museums. It's got some good donaldson great mystery. But it's got a about a history. There was the crossroads of the shipping world and the Trading World Law. Wrong Times. There is stuff. They're related to that. That was just too hard to find. Or if I'm too lazy or too tired by the time I get therapist too damn hot and sweaty trying to find any of it But I I don't know I I keep looking at the things people other people do when they go and I'm like yeah okay. I could do that too. I guess but also like what I do it over and over again I I keep going back. And this is my fourth or fifth visit. Now and I've done I take fifty percent the same stuff which is the food and then fifty percent new every time as I. AM So finding new things to do there. So I guess maybe that's my answer but I don't know I still. I still feel like it's just. It is a stopover city. Not Somewhere where I wanna go spend a week. Yeah I've been a few. I've gone with a view of with other friends. I've been to Singapore cane. Remember having almost probably five six and and you know I am a few things I like to do. Like Hawker stands as one of the things. I love And then I do enjoy Just going out to the islands on cintos going out there. You know half-dayers walking around but.
Emirates Airline Orders 50 A350 XWB at Dubai Airshow 2019
"Dubai show just happens I guess the big news out of it is Immerse orders. Yeah kind of crazy numbers. Well yes and no remember that when emerets announced they were canceling their eighth radio or significantly scaling back. The a three eighty order it was going to be swapped for three fifty three thirty Nieto's and now they sort of firmed that up. But it's only the three fifty's not party Nieto's interesting and Never wanted to mince words sir. Tim Clark basically came out and said Yeah Rolls Royce and get his act together and actually making so engines will look at three thirty Nieto's but right now they're you know not vision sufficiently reliable hardware and we need langfitt imply interest. Yes I know I think I shared in one of our the other day. There's been the three thirty are now being being a fat are now included in the Trent thousand or the trump series right not the one thousand but the trend series engine issues so that is actually becoming an issue for Some airlines that have the three thirty Nieto's in Clark Cassini knees not keen on flying planes. That can't be I mean at this point do do you think the Airbuses have had their own. Trent issues right But emrich seems to have dodged most of that Luckily I I think most of the transition so far have been on the seventy seven yes and has just recently that the three thirties have shown up in having problems with regarding the the three eighty S. Triple seven have been rock-solid I'll say recently at least your Amerson for the global community large so emerson has been very lucky slash reliable on that front and now now it's just a matter of what the hell did I do. NEX and they had the triple seven x order with the other half of the news In there still the largest civil seven x plus tomorrow tomorrow expecting customer Bud in part because of delays they are they now added seventy seven. So they're orderbook seven eight seven dash nine which I think is thirty. Yeah they're planning on taking. That's I think as a hedge a little bit against triple seven x delivery delays but also. It's hard to tell how much of emerets orderbook is someone. Someone sort of sitting down implanting like this where we want to next. This is how many people there will be there. This is how you probably these routes will be the need to do it. Versus God. Airbus some Boeing. Love US and love for us to sort of say we're GONNA be a flagship Awesome report them. So they're gonNA give us a great deal on X. Y. Z.. We should buy some of those. Yeah it was actually interesting. I'll try to put it linked to it in the show notes on an interesting story from flight global about that I mean they're kind of like throwing their weight around right. They're you're buying power weight but like how much of it is that they actually have the buying power in how much the perceived to have it. I guess what I wonder I mean. Yes they are the biggest radio operator I yes. They're currently the biggest triple seven operator since W. yes and they will be the biggest triple seven x operator assuming that happens but also like they're not not the biggest airline They do fly a lot of places they have a brand cachet that is significant. But like I don't know I'm vaguely

Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones - A Review
"So what what what's new while you were gone yes so you were gone yes they sent me the Amazon echo your buttons two weeks so this is a really interesting category all of a sudden thanks to apple and their new air pod pro ear buds are wireless the Bluetooth and with the exception of apple's crappy earpods and I want to emphasize crappy air pods which is kind of sit on your ear and fallout most of the good stuff and I have a job or a lead to have a number of them I have the Samsung I actually I think a number of reviewers consider believe it or not the Samsung galaxy bugs to be the best sounding better even than the apple iPod pros but they have a tip that goes deeper inner ear seals so you get better bass and they are much less prone to ejection here a junction as you exactly what as in you you said in the chat room your booking to Bob Seger so that's that's when you get the ear injection factor so what do you think of these galaxy but they're very experiments were then accounts but damn is abuzz with their very expensive one twenty eight it is not that they're actually made by both so the sound quality is always happen like Bose sound you know what they are we always say no highs no lows must be bows exactly I don't agree with that but okay they actually look very similar to both the Bose I have the sound sports which is what I usually goes jogging around then so says like Amazon basically re labeled something existing well I think they will cooperate with it they're slightly different than the sound sports they come in a case they couple things they are not noise eliminating their noise reducing yeah and that very dependent on you get a good fit with the ear plugs and noise reducing our yearly means yeah as you say they see over here apple's air pop pros and others like the Bose quiet comfort do what we call active noise cancellation have microphones which works to pick up the ambiance and then flip the pope the reverse the polarity so that is negates itself and that they have seen on with some success but these don't do that they just see what I actually I think that works better some level of that of active noise reduction because you up to mode you have what they call passed through what you hear the outside world walking you can your cards coming at you and such yeah and if you switch between the two of them even with the ear plugs in all the way you can actually hear a difference in the amount of sounds path is this some amount of reduction it's just not noise cancellation now the classes on this that I found you only have to wear one if for some reason you don't want to wear both of them a lot of these if you take one out its silences it not this one it takes one out it will stop and then it'll will is not she just left one and it'll go back to what I like that because I often do when a we're just one it does one yeah it comes with the re charging case similar to the other ones good for a couple of charges and the sound is like if you like both his visit now couple things to worry about with these they send it to you and they give you a set of rubble flanges you can add to the year but if you want to they give you that little hook to help get the S. soon securing aren't seen a lot of people do that it's like it's just a little bit more so doesn't fall out yeah if you do that it's very hard to get it to sit properly in the case and I've had it where I thought it was then wasn't in good didn't charge and it didn't disconnect from my phone I'm suddenly looking in my phone is ringing or anything this morning to the nearby not good so you really have to make sure that you popped it all the way in you have the option is always listening for you to say what you wake up words in this case the only option you have is the a word one really you can't use a computer or Amazon the other way not let me change they may change you have if you do the tap and hold you can have it either activates or Google assistant okay so you can use whatever is on your phone as well you watch it is very easily you get a choice of whether you want to tap and hold to be the Amazon assistant or your phone's basic one and I have no reason why you want to ever have a thing the Amazon one because it's already listening all the time anyway right you can turn the Mike off on it so it's not listening so just acting as the pair had sat the one thing I wish they'd done and the only reason I keep using my Bose sound sports it doesn't have a poll sensor and my Bose sound boards anything that senior year like that has all sorts of potential as a as a kind of fitness monitor because it can not only cents heart rate but other things as well so right and this one doesn't have the sensors built and then maybe a generation sandwich generation three Cup or sport down version coming along at some point but I went jogging weapons they stay put I went to the gym worked out the state court the sound is as good as you expect many bios you get about six to eight hours of stuff now I was on the train both to and from LA to this weekend and I will clean sound reduction was adequate but I could on the train I didn't feel like I was hearing all the were rattle and roll coming in for the tribe but I could still hear what was going on I will not go on an airplane without in I've use noise canceling I have bows and others but I actually preferred the at a motor X. which is a high and in here monitor and it it has flanges ago so deep in your here for some people I have that cough reflect some of those people who have seen poke my some people it actually make you might make you gag a little bit but its seal so well you can't hear a thing which may not be safe on an airplane I guess if it can still tap me if they need me to jump out of the airplane put on a pair she but I I prefer that it's not active noise canceling its just silent can you hear babies crying you don't hear anything I mean I had those I had a set of those two awhile ago and the company can't member who they may have a little pink is attached to you that you clicked on your chest that you could push a button the left right up through the I got to talk to somebody yeah the whole idea of ambience founder is is not new that's that's been around since the Sony Walkman you could do with a Walkman right I'm gonna have to say I haven't tried these yet you know it seems to me the apple earpods pro is really overpriced is really expensive there's a huge profit margin in headphones that's why at one of the reasons apple bought beats is a big money maker the galaxy but at the same price as the Amazon without without using the assistant you get no system but they I think sound quite good they fit quite well in their only hundred thirty Bucks if you want a system that sounds like the Amazon be a good

Dodgers fear Seager has serious hamstring strain
"But if you're watching the dodgers angels baseball game just a few hours ago. In fact, it was right before we started the freeway series. It's just a two game set and the dodgers. They lost those games both of them to the angels, but bigger picture, they may have lost Cory Seager. So this is this is what happened. It was ninth inning says, watching it live when it happened, it was ninth inning, and he was on second base at this point, the dodgers trailing by a couple of runs and trying to mount a comeback and maybe stunned the. Either win the game or force extra innings and Cory Seager is on second base. And one of his teammates, I think it was Alex, do go Alex, do go bounces of ball up the middle and Seger is about to hit the bag third when he grabs his hamstring. And so it wasn't even as he was rounding the bag. It wasn't a step wrong or a plant wrong. I know he was just about to get to third base. And I don't know whether or not the judges would have sent him it wasn't a hard hit ball by virtue go, but it didn't it didn't go very deep into the outfield either. And so all I shifted to Corey as he gets third base. He goes, a couple of steps passed it, and then is in massive pain, and right away, he signals for the training staff to come out and help him and he walks off the field. He he can't even stay on the bag. He gets replaced by pinch runner. He walks off the field and the dodgers have tentatively. Diagnosed him with what is a grade two plus hamstring strain. Okay. So grey to plus, meaning that it's great to or worse. And the word that I just saw on online is that they fear it could be very serious hamstring injury. This is forget the dodgers. Now the first second anyway, the dodgers are one of the best teams in major league baseball. They're off to a torrid start. And we just talked to Rick Honeycutt their pitching coach about the team about their, their desire to get back, of course, and try to win a World Series after two consecutive losses in the last couple October's and how much fun this team is and how good they are and there's been so much focus on Cody Bellinger. But getting Cory Seager back is also been huge for them member. He missed last year with injury most of last year with injury and now appears as though he has done something to his hamstring. We'll wait to find out, I hate to speculate and I always hoping against hope that I'm completely wrong. Maybe holding out some hope with Kevin Durant, though, that one seems
