ESPN Includes Transgender Swimmer in Women's History Month
"So listen to this from the daily mail this weekend, ESPN has been condemned by a former champion college swimmer for including transgender swimmer Leah Thomas in their segment devoted to women's history month. Wow. I wrote in a recent column that there is no more sheep like behavior. There are many tide with them, but sports, how long is the Riley gains video? And I was given last month. Is that correct? Yeah, okay, I want to hear it and I want my listeners to hear it. There's no more sheep like group than sports writers. ESPN is composed of cowards. And I'm not surprised. Well, so much of our media is composed of such, look, it's a real problem because whenever I speak of such group a oh, they take the award for sheep like behavior, they're just a herd that sports writers, well, then I think of college presidents and college deans. And college professors, can you get more sheep like than they?

The Sheer Spectacle of the Potential Trump Indictment
"Well, I'm back to reality and we're back to what's happening with Alvin Bragg in New York. And I guess this is the week where we're going to find out if Alvin Bragg is going to push ahead with this prosecution of Donald Trump. I mean, let's take in the sheer spectacle of this, indicting the leading, first of all, indicting a former president, unprecedented. Number two, indicting the leading candidate of the opposition party. With the obvious and apparent goal of putting him out of contention, now you might say, wait a minute, if Trump is indicted, he can still run. Yeah, but the idea is to discourage his donor as he's under indictment. He might be found guilty of a felony, after all, this is New York. The jury is going to be as bad as it is in Washington, D.C., for the January 6th defendants. So even if the case has very limited or virtually no merit, I mean, think about it. We literally talking about stormy Daniels again, apparently, yes, we are. And all of this, if it goes forward, I think the grand jury may be having some anxiety about it. Because the grand jury is recognizing first of all that this is a very murky case. Number two, the chief witnesses have, well, virtually no credibility at all, a disgraced lawyer, Michael Cohen, who actually was found criminally criminal criminally convicted, served time, stormy Daniels, a porn star. I mean, these are your star witnesses. And I'll talk in the next segment about the merits of the case, but you'll see how both of them explicitly disavow that wad Alvin Bragg is trying to say took place took place. They deny onto their own signature and in their own words that it took place.

Who Is Reporter Heather Mullins?
"I haven't introduced you at all, this is the first segment, you know, if somebody says to you, okay, Heather Mullins, what do you do? Who are you? What's your story? How do you describe yourself? You know, it's crazy. I feel like my story is always being written every day is a new day. Currently I'm a reporter and I've been a reporter for about four years now prior to that. I was actually in banking and finance for quite some time. Everything from retirement planning and just banking in general, but I've always wanted to go into journalism just because I feel like I was always that kid in the classroom Eric that had my hand up asking questions and that's really the fundamental thing that you need to be able to do in order to be a good journalist is to ask questions to think outside the box to not necessarily buy everything but to look a little deeper and a little further. And so my career really took off after the 2020 election. I went down to Georgia to cover the recount because Georgia turned blue for the first time since 1992. And it was only by a margin of 12,000 votes. So it was super close. They were doing all these recounts, and I went down there to cover it, having no expectation of what I was about to walk into for all I know, the real story was Joe Biden won case closed. But that is not at all what I found out. There was fraud. There were ballots, thousands of ballots turning up. There was issue after issue and I just kept documenting it and eventually a copy attention of then president Donald Trump, who started sharing my work on Twitter and other social media platforms and from that point forward, I couldn't unsee what I'd seen and when you, when you see your election process so violated and you realize like if we don't have our elections, we have absolutely nothing

Danielle Unpacks the Left's History of "Grassroots Movements"
"Anyone with the faintest recollection of the Bush era knows that the left took great pride in the fact that they were a grassroots movement. In those days, the right was criticized for being controlled by big money, the oil industry, Wall Street banks, the defense industrial complex, conservatives were told that they were not expressing authentic ideas born of a sincere intellectual movement, but were using deceptive reasoning to surreptitiously make the case for the richest and most powerful segments of society. We were described as the opposite of grassroots. We were described as AstroTurf. Being organic and grassroots used to be a big part of leftist self identity. It was a carryover from the anti war protests of the 60s and early 70s. Liberals were proud of the fact that they represented a break from establishment orthodoxy. They reveled in their status since the scrappy street smart activists struggling in the name of the downtrodden and disenfranchised, which if you think about it is perfect cover if you want to increase suffering and inequality in the world. Especially on the downtrodden and the disenfranchised. It's easy to see this is the case today. Just look around at the havoc caused by leftist policies and politicians. Getting rid of police has led to massive increases in crime and blue districts, which necessarily means you have more crime victims in the very heart of areas where Democrats have their strongest support. It's almost mind-blowing today to see how a Democrat president and the massive majority of Democrat politicians support our current current Ukrainian and interventionist policies after literally half a century of lambasting those very same policies in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. It's also shocking how the left has not only discarded their anti corporation Cred, but did a complete one 80 to openly advocating for corporate feudalism.

Former Legal Adviser to Michael Cohen Discredits Him
"Tucker Carlson's program last evening, I think we have a tape from this. It's pretty amazing. Attorney Costello came out and because of the waving of the attorney client privilege, he was able to discuss freely and opening openly about his relationship with Michael Cohen, how Michael Cohen is materially lying to quote unquote get Trump. It is an interesting question, is Michael Cohen being incentivized to do this as Michael Cohen being paid or threatened to do this. These are legitimate questions, by the way. And also Jim Jordan is asking a very good question, something that I do suspect, which is is there a coordinated effort? Is there a, quote unquote, get Trump war room? We're going to ask that question in just a second because I think that's actually really interesting. Play cut 22. I called him up after I saw Michael Cohen on TV. Stating things that he said he was going to tell the grand jury and had told the grand jury that were contrary to what he told us when we first represented him in April of 2018. So I'm sitting at home watching these lies, and I said, I've got to do something about it. I don't represent Donald Trump, but I do stand for justice. And I think I have a legal obligation to inform both sides. So that's what I did. And so effectively, if you listen to the entire segment, it's a long segment. He went in and he has the emails and the texts and the phone calls, and he has a sworn waving of attorney client privilege, which I don't know why Michael Cohen signed. That's just really bizarre and strange. All over the place. And he went right in and to the grand jury and basically said, you can't trust this guy. You can't build a case on this. So the entire case is basically built on Michael Cohen saying, Donald Trump had an affair allegedly with stormy Daniels and then he wanted to pay hush money payment, which is not illegal, by the way. You might find hush money payment reprehensible. You might not like it. Unfortunately, it's done a lot in politics. It's done a lot in corporate America. I personally don't like it, but it's part of life. And it's not illegal.

The Expansion of China's Navy
"Want to play for you in anticipation of mine the next segment reading you a large part of Jerry Hendricks essay in the Atlantic. And he'll be along in the last hour. A bit that played on 60 minutes. It's the perfect backdrop as is the Hendricks article which I've just pushed out on Twitter if you're following me on Twitter, you hear it. On Sunday Night, two nights ago, toshi yoshihiro is on talking as were other guests talking with 60 minutes about the massive stunning expansion of the Chinese blue water fleet. Give a listen to this cut number 16. There is a tendency among the great powers to look at each other's naval buildups with deep suspicion. Toshi yoshihara of the center for strategic and budgetary assessments may know more than any scholar in the west, about China's navy. China will have about 440 ships by 2030. And that's according to the Pentagon. Why is China able to build more warships more quickly than the U.S.? China has clearly invested in this defense industrial infrastructure to produce these ships. Which allows them to produce multiple ships simultaneously, essentially out building many of the western navy's combined.

The Bible Recap
Deuteronomy 21-23: Seeing God's Heart and in the Midst of Archaic Laws
"Moses continues his farewell speech today and he covers a wide variety of laws in these three chapters. We don't have time to touch on them all, so I'll just pull a few from the ones that might have been the most perplexing for my reading. Most of which pertain to relationships between men and women. But before we get there, I want to remind us about a few things just so we have the proper framework for what we're encountering here. God is not setting up a utopian society where everything is ideal. God is meeting the people where they are and giving them a framework for a functional society where people are treated with at least the bare minimum level of respect. When God addresses something like multiple wives, it doesn't mean he's putting a seal of approval on it. It means he's acknowledging that it happens, and he's giving them honorable ways to respond to an imperfect, sinful situation. We'll hit some challenging passages today and it's important for us to remember not to overlay our cultural experience onto theirs. Speaking of which, let's go over the first tough segment. Marrying female captives for anyone in western society today, this idea is really cringe inducing. We even balk at the idea of arranged marriage, and this feels like it fringes on our idea of love and marriage even more. One of the things we have to remember about this society is that marriage rarely fit our modern ideas of love. Very rarely did a woman especially Mary for love. They often married as a means of being provided for. So the situation we've got here is that the Israelites would have conquered a city and killed all the men, but taken the women and children alive. Some of these women would have been absorbed into the society, but if a man found a woman he wanted to marry, it's quite likely she wouldn't have objected. And this law God set out here honored the woman by giving her a 30 day period of time to mourn and grieve all she has lost before marrying the israelite man. If for any reason, things in the marriage went south, God protects the woman by requiring the man to treat her with honor, not like she's his property. Please don't miss God's heart in this. Even though so much of this seems archaic, we can still see God's plan to provide for the woman through the man and to protect her if the man fails to honor her well.

Tucker Carlson Responds to Accusations of Cherry Picking J6 Tapes
"Tucker put it better than I could. Oh, we cherry picks, really. What they're saying, ironically, what they're describing ironically is exactly what the January 6th committee, and the prosecutors in these cases did for two years. They selectively picked small segments of tape to convince Americans that January 6th was something that it wasn't. It was awful. We would not defend that we hate vandalism. We hate assault. Was it a violent instruction it was not? Was it a killing of 5 officers in the capital? It was not. Those are lies. And they buried tape the contradicted and revealed those lies. So all we did was play the tape that they had been hiding for 26 months and show that there were American citizens Jacob chansley specifically and others whose civil liberties were annihilated and you can make your own rational judgments about what that means. Do you want to live in a country where that's possible? They don't care. Neither party in Washington cares. In fact, the leader of the Senate. Democrats Chuck Schumer just joined the leader of the Senate Republicans Mitch McConnell in calling for this show to be pulled off the air. Now that's not an argument based on logic. It's based on hysteria and the shame you feel is a weak and terrified person when your lies are exposed. He show right and it is a hysteria and what's the hysteria steeped in? It's steeped in fear. They are afraid. They're afraid of truth.

Jim Hanson and John Solomon Talk FBI Threat Tags
"Welcome back to America first with our very special guest, uncle Jimbo. It's Jim Hansen. Good to be with you, everybody, and I am especially happy to be joined this segment with John Solomon, who is the proprietor of just the news. They do the actual investigative work and dig into the many bad things going on. One of which is more evidence of government abuse of power to attack political opponents. This is the FBI shockingly, but a different version of their ongoing stuff. What do you got, John? Yeah, Jim, good to be with you. This is a really important thing. What we're hearing from multiple whistleblowers who have gone to Congress gone to the inspector general of the Justice Department is that FBI ideologues are beginning to use a thing called threat tag. So that tax would normally reserved for terrorists or extremists who are likely to commit violent acts against Americans. And these threat tags are now being used. We first heard about them. They were applied for a period of time until it was called a mistake to parents who were protesting curriculum changes at school board minis. Clearly not terrorists, right? Then we heard recently that the Richmond office of the FBI did a memo that applied thread tags to Catholics who prefer Latin mass. I'm not sure why preferring a Latin mass would make you a terrorist, but for a while they did, the FBI set up, that was a mistake. Now, a new whistleblower has come out in the last couple of days and said, the same thing was going on. They were implying threat tags to anti abortion pro life activists. Now, what's really interesting about this is that there was a threat tag originally created for pro abortion forces who were threatening death to Supreme Court Justices who were talking about reversing roe V wade, which they did. All right, that's a legitimate use of a threat tag. If someone's actually thinking of assassinating justice, that is a legitimate use. But very quickly after the abortion threat tag was created, it was flipped around by ideological according to this whistleblower to go after pro life activists who had posed no mortal threat. They

China Accuses US of Aggression
"So as I explained in the last segment, our policies and behavior towards China has been anything much confrontational. In fact, it has been quite soft and cowardly. One of the biggest things that we did was just send 100 to 200 more troops to Taiwan. When I reported on that last week on my showtime, was someone wrote into me and said, I think you got that number wrong. And I said, no, I didn't. It's 100 to 200. So hardly anything to write home to mom about, but nevertheless, China is accusing us of aggression. And I was providing some examples of the many ways that China is the aggressor in the United States and towards other foreign powers. But back to what I was discussing, I was mentioning that in 2022, the Justice Department found and charged several Chinese Communist Party affiliates for planning to violently attack a U.S. House of representative candidate for New York's tenth congressional district named Jiang Yang. He is a Chinese American and during his campaign. He spoke out very harshly against the CCP and against communism and again these Chinese affiliates tried to target him and assassinate him and luckily it was uncovered, but just yet another example of China's aggression. I also mentioned that they have opened several overseas police stations around the world, including one in New York City. Chinese officials have said that this is necessary to provide quote unquote vital services for Chinese citizens living in the United States, but isn't that what an embassy does?

Caller: Tucker Carlson Showed Both Sides, Truth of the J6 Story
"Say Chuck Schumer found us for test too much. I mean, he went on and on and on. But my opinion is, is that Tucker is trying to get to the truth because having watched the videos, he showed both sides of the story. He showed the peacefulness of it. The people just walking through the capitol and looking around, he also showed those who, you know, the near do wells who were going to be in any place at any time. So I think he tried to get and is still trying to get to the truth of the matter. Whereas the January 6th committee, so called Mario 6 committee. Was out for blood from the beginning. I do think that they had no intention of getting to the truth. Just their truth. Certainly looks that way. And I mean, the editing of the video from the J 6 committee, that's what's even more troubling, is that we did not get to see this in real time, and it was a lot of it was taken out of context, including the senator Josh hawley segment, and I don't know if you saw that where he was, they said, oh, he was running for his life, but it turns out he was not. As we now know.

Chuck Schumer Reacts to Tucker Carlson's Reporting on J6 Videos
"Night, millions of Americans tuned in to one of the most shameful hours. We have ever seen on cable television. With contempt for the facts, disregard of the risks and knowing full well he was lying, lying to his audience. Fox News host Tucker Carlson ran a lengthy segment last night, arguing the January 6th capitol attack. Was not a violent insurrection. By diving deep into the waters of conspiracy and cherry picking from thousands of hours of security footage. Mister Carlson told the bold faced lie that the capital attack, which we all saw with their own eyes, was somehow not an attack at all. He tried to argue it was nothing more than a peaceful sightseeing tour. Can you imagine? A nonviolent demonstration. A perfectly fine and appropriate instance of people expressing their opinion. I, so many others who were here in the capitol and millions and millions of Americans are just furious. With Tucker Carlson and Kevin McCarthy today. Many of my staff were here at the capitol on January 6th. Their lives were put in danger. As were the lives of many of my colleagues, as well as police, maintenance staff, reporters, countless others. At one point, I was within 30 feet of the rioters. One of them I was told shouted out, let's get them. Before my detail pulled me away, and we ran in the other direction. To say January 6th was not violent, is a lie, a lie, pure and simple.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn: Biden Needs to Apologize to Rebecca Kiessling
"You had the crowd going today. What a fun day at cpac. Well, it is and as we said, our segment was human trafficking cartels and beyond the China balloon. Because you look at how the Chinese Communist Party and the Mexican cartels are in cahoots. And you look at the how this fentanyl crisis is unique to the United States and all of that fentanyl is coming out of China, Mexico, cartels, and into our community. What was your reaction yesterday when President Biden actually laughed at a woman because of the fentanyl issue and losing losing children as well? He needs to apologize to that family immediately. I thought that was in very poor taste. I thought it was almost a moment of ridicule of the sadness. And I can not imagine as a mom and a grandma. I can not imagine the trauma and heartbreak of losing both of my children. I just can't. When you look at the drug addiction in this country and the drugs coming across our border and Memphis, the crime rates are just off the charts deadliest city most dangerous city in America, what is your message to people in Tennessee about the policies of these Democrats? Well, they need to look at how the issue of the cartels and the drug trafficking human trafficking gangs. All of that fits together. And pushing these gangs into our cities and that you're driving up the crime rate. The drug dealers. You know, Todd, the thing is, when you talk to the Tennessee bureau of investigation or of any state, they will tell you. The cartel has a presence in our state. The cartel is active, in our state.

A “National Divorce” Is Already Under Way...
"I'm continuing my discussion of Marjorie Taylor Greene's idea of a national divorce. But I want to argue in this segment that this is something that is already going on. It's not a separation of America, but it's a separation of the two ideological camps within America. Now I've argued for some time and I also argue in my speeches about how we have to create our own America inside of America and live in it and police a defendant. And that means creating our own schools, a massive project, but we have to do it. Our own colleges and universities. I don't think we need to build hundreds of brick and mortar institutions. I think we need a few of those. But we also need a high quality online education offered at a very low cost. And the beauty of this is not only does this provide an alternative to what's in higher education, but it destroys the existing model of higher education, which relies on parents putting their lifetime savings aside and then putting it at the altar of sending their kids off to schools that often do nothing more than ideologically indoctrinate and corrupt, you against your children against your values. But let me focus now on just a simple fact that people are voting with their feet against blue America and moving to red America. And by the way, that's a pretty good sign of which system is working better, right? I mean, you have what Hayek called a framework of competing utopias. The blue states are building there. Utopia, you want to call it that. I don't even think they would call it that. But they were like, well, it's necessary in the name of equity. Nonsense. But nevertheless, they want to build their own society, let them. We're building our own. And the question is, let's look and see where people are migrating. And it turns out it's pretty obvious people are leaving the blue states and going to the red states.

The Dinesh D'Souza Podcast
Dinesh Assesses Marjorie Taylor Greene's Idea for a “National Divorce”
"Let's begin by thinking about what Marjorie Taylor Greene meant by this because the concept of a national divorce can be understood in more than one way. In fact, I can think off the top of my head of at least three or four ways that we can interpret it. So one way to interpret it would be, for example, secession, we split the country into two, and of course that has some sorts of operational difficulties. It's not quite as simple of north south or east west. It would have to be a very complex division. So that's option, but it's only option number one. Option number two would be that we create parallel societies. Do Americas inside of America, something I've argued for. And something that to some degree is already happening. I'll say more about that in the next segment. But that's the second option. A third option is decentralization of power. Take power away from Washington. Now we can see that people in Washington won't want to give up power without a fight without a struggle, but nevertheless, the idea of dispersing power to the different jurisdictions, not way red states can live the way they want, blue states can live the way they want, the federal government oversees the process, but it's not the kind of nerve center of making decisions for the whole country. So these are three different ways to think about the so called national divorce. Let's listen to Marjorie Taylor herself because she gave a lengthy interview in which she spelled out her thoughts about it, which I think are quite provocative. And the first thing she says is that many Americans are giving up. They're sick of the Talking Heads that just complain about problems and politicians who don't fix anything. While the right keeps taking beatings and abuse from the left. So that's the whole point that our starting point is kind of the Texas model. We're not gonna take it anymore.

Brian Kilmeade Segment Goes Viral: No DeSantis Supporters in FL Diner
"Boy, this Brian kilmeade moment on Fox and Friends the other day has gone viral. He was and I, Derek pointed this out to me, the crazy part about the Brian kilmeade diner moment. He was doing some remote broadcast on TV from this diner with a bunch of Republicans. And they all had different political shirts and everything on. And he went around trying to find he was going from person to person asking them who they supported for president in 2024. And this is in Florida. And it bears repeating, governor Ron DeSantis is the governor of Florida. In fact, I think his biggest campaign office is down the street from where this diner was. And kilmeade's going to person to person saying, who you for Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Donald Trump, president Trump, Trump, everybody was for kill mead was just stunned. So he goes and sees a lady with a desantis T-shirt on. He goes, well, I'm going to get at least one desantis out of this. He goes, running up to her, who do you like? Well, Trump or desantis, I don't know, kind of hard to tell. I thought he was going to drop the microphone. And there was Ron DeSantis again on Fox News this morning, another appearance, boy they are absolutely delivering Ron DeSantis in heavy doses, I think he's going to do the 5 today. He's going to be on. He's going to guesthouse gutfeld. He's going to try out his comic timing tonight. It's Ron DeSantis with tyrus and cat temp on the 5. They are, they are anti Trump. concern that people just don't want to come back to the city to work Well these people in Albany I don't understand how they don't understand that by creating that law and pushing that law They should be co responsible for some of these some of these murders I mean I'm not a lawyer and I don't know exactly what the charge should be But if I created a law that created a lot of murders I think the personal created that law should be responsible Frank you to deal with your whole time Well I mean obviously the story that Richard alluded to that horrible story of this 87 year old pushed and dying in the middle of the day That is not a situation that would have been affected by bail reform but all the situations that are And it's not just bail reform I'm being that's the catch all that I'm using for everything the state legislature has done and everything you prosecutors done This all contributes to a sense of fear People not wanting to come back to work People not wanting to take the subways People not wanting to live I was talking to some Friends of mine the other day Yesterday actually they're moving to Florida What's the number one reason they list as moving there They're afraid to walk around the streets So until the police and the local officials can win back the public confidence that it is New York is a safe city again then a lot of these other problems are only going to get worse Tourism all these businesses that have been affected You chronicled when you were filling in on the WABC morning show this week John that Manhattan has led the country in people moving out over the course of the last year And New York City has one of the highest employers rates unemployment rates in the state 7 and a half percent and maybe even in the whole country So that's only going to get better if people feel safe again And it's not looking great Unfortunately at the moment Manhattan Manhattan and San Francisco have led the country on people moving and getting on out And people you know they have to realize right now and I think the numbers are worse Frank because the middle class and the wealthy that pay the taxes in Manhattan left and you know what substituted for them The people from Central America that we have to pay them to come here I mean you know there's something wrong with that picture And sooner or later you run out of money because who's going to pay the taxes if everybody leaves Before we run out of time John and we talked to my friend Gary Peron Tonight is the Oscars You remember this used to be the one night of the year that other than the Super Bowl everybody was watching television I'd say I'm a movie fan but I get the sense that nobody really cares about the Oscars What do you think Yeah I feel like a lot of people are in that boat What do you think changed that this went from a go to minute I'm not trying no single movie It's going to be nominated I think the woke culture has taken over Hollywood and they're not now I understand that you can not qualify to get into the Academy Award Unless you have engaged in the movie unless you have transgenders in the movie what else There's another list There was a whole lesson Blacks blacks and disabled Unless they're in the movie you don't qualify to win the assault Suppose it was a one man movie or one woman movie That's a great point You got to be all the above and what pressure That's very funny It's.

"Kelly's show. We're doing a rare second segment with my buddy Drew Burnquist, former CIA counterterrorist guy coast of this is my show, Withdrew. Burke was true. Okay, so I was under the impression everything I've heard is that this thing is basically a foregone conclusion for the Taliban. You sound like you're saying we're more close to a civil war than a complete Taliban takeover. Well, I think yeah, I think that determine all you need to be said. I think there's going to be a civil war. Is it going to be an epic one? And then we see regions broken off and you've got you know this group over here in the north we've got you know, perhaps Pakistan trying to grab something all that DVD and for right now we've given the Taliban what they want and they control as you said earlier in the last segment. More than they controlled in a long, long time, so I don't know how fast it's going to get to that point again. It comes down to the will of the people. What I'm hearing from people who are still there on the ground. Is that the northern lion dust them. And others are willing and wanting to fight back and they're not going to do this because it's either it's either that or they live under the thumb of the Taliban yet again, which is obviously something they don't want to do, so I think it is going to get Physical. It is going to get nasty there how fast it does into what scale is is TBD. Through the equipment, the equipment. They're currently by All it looks like we're hearing. They're driving it to Iran. I'm sure China will be in the market of the equipment. The Taliban are now in possession of that was basically just handed over by the people we trained. Is this equipment the the Iranians don't currently have. I mean technology they currently have. What I want to know is. Is this a gigantic intelligence win for countries like China and Iran? Well, I think it is, but I think also you've got to keep in mind for for both of them are China in particular one of the things they are most aggressive about. Especially when it comes towards the U. S is going after our technology. So you know they they have access to a lot of stuff. Lot of the stuff that we gave in, Typically to the stuff that we left behind. There's kind of two pockets, right? The stuff that we left behind. That was ours. Used by U. S personnel is better stuff we give usually a step down to our partners, and we'll give them some really good stuff. But we give them a step down. So the night vision goggles might be a step down. Your your rifle set up is a step down. But in most cases, some of the special operations groups we try and get some better stuff, but Lot of the stuff they're getting is important. It's better than they've ever had. Certainly at the Taliban level, the Afghan level some of these Villagers, we're going to have it. Um, but I think in terms of Iran and China, there's not Nothing. Is that crazy that they don't have? I mean, Iran has been working on getting drones. Some of that is probably the most devastating some of the helicopters better there. Um Would probably be the next, you know, step up from that or the next step down rather, but a lot of the stuff that we do give them is not like the tricked out most amazing stuff. So it's our stuff that we left. That is of concern. Okay? True. You mentioned the drones earlier and laughing about the Taliban trying to operate them. I'm going to ask a stupid question, because that's what I do. Can they fly he lows? So I'll tell you what kind of a funny story we trained in a roundabout way of answering your question. Most of them, Of course, no, there are people that have been trained to heal, owes trained to fly heroes. Whether they have foot sides and are on the side of the Taliban. Now or not, is TBD. We trained not me specifically, Of course, you don't want me flying a helicopter, but we trained a group that did and they got decent but got grounded because they were Drinking too much. I didn't understand that. That wasn't a good man. Um, I mean, I get you know, they're not used to having scotch and stuff over there. You give the Commander Scotch and like, okay, bro. You've got to stop drinking because you're going to fly a bunch of people in a few hours here, so we had to ground them, but But I think that there are to answer your question. There are some they have been on our side up until this point, whether they have flipped Is to be determined. I'm sure there are some. They certainly can find someone who can teach them. Um, but I think it's gonna be funny to watch. Those are gonna be some funny training video drew in two minutes as best you can. What did we do Wrong in Afghanistan? Well, we got into so so we crushed it early on. We did great. We stuck on mission and then we got on into nation building like we always do, which is a huge problem. It's a huge stuck on money. Time resources and, of course lives. Um, but I think because of that, because we stayed there. We lost the will of our people. Um, so much God just confusing. I got muddy. And and towards the end here again, we didn't listen to our people on the ground, and that's always a huge problem. It's always been a huge problem always will be a huge problem. Um so You know, we when it comes to the end here, too. I get that we wanted to get out. I think there's people People who wanted to withdraw. I've been wanting to withdraw forever. There's people who think we need to stay there. There's people who think maybe we need a contingency there. Regardless of which part of the spectrum you land on there. I think what we have to understand is We did this wrong like this was an absolutely couldn't have scripted a worst, the worst ending to to this whole campaign. Uh and all that we did there, whether we should have been there that long or not. This was absolutely catastrophic. Drew Burnquist. Everybody. He's the host of this is my show. Andrew Burke was true. Thank you so much my brother for making it smarter than I appreciate it. Hey, you guys thanks.

"Morning, Everybody. So much to talk about. You know, we've got to start Well, I'll just tease it a little bit. Rory O Neill is going to join us in the second segment at this half hour. Um and it's going to be to talk about what the American Conference of bishops Catholic bishops did Over the weekend. Actually, you know, starting on Friday, which was Uh, Well, it's being construed by the media as something that would be political. But the bottom line is it's just a reaffirmation of Catholic faith. You're really not supposed to receive communion. If you're not at one, with God and with the church, the teachings of the church And Joe Biden, who they shoved down our throat and tell us he's a devout Catholic. Is not at one with church teaching Now I'm not the one judging him. I'm just saying he's not And will he be denied Communion, Only the second Roman Catholic President in the nation's history. Yes, JFK being the first we'll get into all that. Did you know Danny that the largest religious group represented? In Congress. Is Catholic, Roman Catholic. Really? Yeah. And what? Who do you think has more Catholics, Democrats or Republicans? I would think Republicans will probably tell me I'm wrong. It's Democrats. It's Democrats largest largest religion, I think, um Close to a third of the House is Roman Catholic. And so I've watched with great joy the reporting over the weekend. Of everything about Um, the faith about being Roman Catholic and what it really means that it's interesting when, when, folks when, when you see folks reporting on it, because it's hey, uh, it's not a democracy. You know, they use things like well, Most Catholics think it should be this way. Well, that's okay. First of all, you know We always question polling, but the second part is right. But but religion isn't a government. Faith is in the government. I mean, I know some non denominational Christian Protestants have their own. Churches. They make the rules. Er, er, er, uh, it's not that way in the Roman Catholic Church is technically a monarchy. It's technically a monarchy. Yeah. So anyway, all of that. Covid 19 Danny Pope Fauci while we're on the subject. Of the Roman Catholic faith. Pope Fauci is back out there again doing it, Danny, Remember, I said, he went, He went into a little bit of shutdown. He did seem to disappear for a week or so he was being quiet. He's out there speaking up again, and he's out there, telling CNN again that attacks on him are attacks on, um Science. That's always a nice thing to fall back on. I don't know. He speaks for all of science. Yeah. Yeah, I like. Um I like Talbert Swan, the the pretend Bishop Talbert Swan. Out in Western mass. I think he's got on his Twitter account. It says Facts F A. C. T s facts are not hate. Yeah, well, wait a minute. Wait a minute. You can't just say Oh, this is a fact What I'm stating here. It's not hate. Yeah, You can't do that. Especially when your version of the facts is not correct. But anyway, vouch. He is out there saying that, um, it is an attack on him. It's It's an attack on him. Yeah, he told CNN that CNN the lowest rated, uh, cable news. Network. Yeah, go there. Um, let's see he is. He is a defending his record on Covid 19. And here's the quote. It is essential as a scientist that you evolve your opinion and your recommendations. Based on the data as it evolves. I'd love that. Democrats and leftists love the term evolve. You know, Remember Donald Trump was for gay marriage before Barack Obama, But you would never know that because Barack Obama's opinion on the subject Evolves. He wasn't for gay marriage until he was president. Um, So this is Fauci saying it involves, and that's the reason why I say people who then criticized me about that are actually criticizing science. Because of all the things I have spoken about. Consistently from the very beginning have been fundamentally based on science. No, no, no, no, no See, if out. Here's where they're not. You have tried to nuance. Your involvement with the Wuhan Institute. Now it is going to at some point have to come out. That Fauci was in support and working with the Wuhan Institute, even if it was through intermediaries for Gain of function research. Now just one more time to explain gain of function. It means taking an existing virus and supercharging it in a lab. The way that Mother nature mind through evolution. Oh, yeah. There's that word again evolve the way that mother nature would through evolution. The reason you supercharge it as you make it more contagious, more deadly in the hopes that you will be able To find a countermeasure either an antiviral drug or vaccine. To fight it so that you have it in your arsenal prior to Any evolution. I mean, it makes sense, right? Good defense is an offense. Think about warfare. The more advanced weapons systems you have while a piece the better off you will be when you're at war. So That's that's the reasoning here. I mean, it's controversial. Gain of function research. It is controversial. It's dangerous. Okay? Would be willing to accept all of that, but be honest about what you did with the Chinese. And don't give us Fauci the baloney that well, wait a minute. We When we funded these organizations, we didn't know they were going to do gain of function. I'm sure there's a paper trail and I'm sure people are upset..

As the name implies, Yes, I do love it, and, uh, One of the things that the name implies, As I said, is that we work with the most wonderful people in the entire universe. And that's people who are over 50 who are retired, retiring soon. So if that is you, this show is designed for you. And by the way we podcast is show. So if you want to subscribe to it, you can go on iTunes or wherever you podcast stuff on your device. I encourage you to do so. And then you can listen to the show at your leisure. But this is the show where we talk about. Let me go over with you What we're going to talk about on this our weekly excursion into the land of retirement planning. So first of all, as I mentioned, the Fed had their meeting and they came out and you may remember, they said, we are not going to raise interest rates, no matter how bad inflation gets, no matter what happens, we are not going to do it, and they repeated it easily six times. Well, guess what? Yeah, baby. Inflation started pick up a little bit. So we we might actually do two of them in 2023. After all, so now they've they've said we're beginning to talk about the talk. So we'll talk about what that means to you and your retirement in our first segment. Now, also, we're going to talk about what should be the first thing you do when you do your retirement planning. What do you think That could be? What would you What would you think would be the first thing that you need to do if you want to sit down and do some retirement planning? And I'm gonna leave that hanging out there and we'll tell you about that one in our second segment That's called the tease Jack. That's quality. So you want your audience to want to stay around to hear that Also, as we do every week, we're going to talk about how to maximize your Social Security benefits. In 2021. It's a you know, there's a lot of things that you need to know about his extremely complex in my view, and so therefore we're going to talk about and by the way, if you want to help me out, all you have to do is send me your questions with regard to Social Security, and I'll endeavor to answer them on the air and you make my job easy. I don't have to create anything. I can just answer your questions. Also this week. I want to talk with you about. You know, when you are in the investment business, you have to understand that you are in the risk business and the reason why I say that is because no one's going to. I shouldn't say no. One. It's very hard to get a higher rate of return than zero unless you Are taking some risk. So generally speaking, the higher the rate of return. You want to get the more risk you have to take. And so when you are retired, I believe that managing risk is maybe the number one thing you should do when it comes to your investment strategy, So we're going to talk about four ways to manage risk in your in your investments. If you're within five years of retirement, or you're in that first five years of retirement, So if you're in that decade, uh, you're talking to me. Yeah, I'm talking to you. All right, so we'll do that. Now, You know what, Jack? Most shows would stop right there. Most cells would say, You know if we did just that we have done more than our listening audience could possibly want from a financial show? Somebody's stop me. But on the show, do we only go where people expect us to? Of course we don't We boldly go where no financial show has gone before and therefore at about 10 till we're going to have our State tip of the week. And this week I'm gonna I'm gonna tease you again. This is a show full of teases. All right. So here's another one. What do you think, is the best inheritance that you can leave to your greedy, unwashed undeserving airs? Do you think it is? I think it's money. Do you think Jack says a lot of money? Do you think it's like cars, houses? Jewelry, you know? Is it that golf club of yours? What do you think? The best inheritance you can leave? Is And so we'll talk about that one at about 10 till because I think the answer will surprise you. So we have a show chock full of great stuff. I hope you'll stay tuned for the entire program. I will tell you something quick, You know, Father's Day is this weekend? And of course, I have three daughters. And you know I'm one of those guys that whenever I need something, you know it's Amazon. Right? I just buy it so I'm really hard to buy anything for And so when I When I was asked by my daughter, she said, Daddy, what do you want for Father's Day? And I said, You know what I want with the The most precious valuable thing to me is family time. If I could spend time with my girls and my wife and my family, then that's the most valuable thing. Well, of course, my family spread out all over the country. And so unfortunately I have the APP for the airline that we used for the miles and everything. So I already know what's going to happen for Father's Day. I think it's supposed to be a surprise, but unfortunately, I think I already know There are the miles went down, and there are three tickets coming from where my daughters are to and they're arriving. Anyway, I'll act I'll act surprised. All right. Well, let's talk about what the Fed decision to raise interest rates means to your retirement to your investments. And you know As I mentioned, the Federal Reserve said that they are no longer going to be in the forecasting business. So if you think about the history the federal Reserve what they've always done in the past, as they said, You know, the the U. S economy is this giant tanker? It's a giant ship. And you can't turn it on a dime. It's not like a like a race boat that can turn. So you got to start turning it way in advance of when you wanted to turn And so when it comes to interest rates, that's kind of steering the ship and so what? They were always done or not always, but historically, what they've done is they have Started raising interest rates are lowering interest rates because they anticipate that inflation is coming or the economy slowing down or something like that. Well, they've changed that. What they said is is that we are going to be data driven..

This is the path we're gonna take any just doesn't seem to happen in baseball and it drives me crazy. I apologize nothing to apologize for. I love the emotion. But yeah i mean i i. I don't know. I do think that based on those comments it seems like you know there could be a further down the this obviously not the last. We've heard of this right. I mean we're going to be continuing to looking at to be looking what they're doing on a night tonight basis and really sussing not and obviously when this does go into effect the will be even more of a microscope or magnifying glass. Take your pick on on all this. But i do think that like my optimistic view would be that. Maybe those comments do to some galvanisation some conversations. If that's what would be best for everybody. Yes the very least folks on both sides can ask the question. Why are we not talking all right. Sarah thanks for doing this. Things are happening. Buster by cook as the television voice for the yankees on the yes network. He's also the host of the michael. Kay show and ninety eight point seven. Centerstage my most fascinating and abused from era the jay z. With back stories and the best parts of a lot of those interviews congrats on the book. Michael thank you buster. How you doing. I'm doing great now. We're gonna. I'm gonna ask you about the yankees. Maybe getting a little foreign substance talk after garrett. Kohl's comments last night. But i i want to talk about your book. I've read it. I've really enjoyed it. And what was before each presentation of the interviews that you did in the book You gave some perspective. And some behind the scenes gibbs intake which ed that those were fun like when i talked to my friends about my job. That's those are the stories they want to hear so. I was glad to hear those. So i'm going to do a little rapid fire for you on some of your interviews. What was the favourite interview. You've done for center stage. And why did you like that interview. So much We've done two hundred and forty interviews and my favorite one would be larry david I was really excited when we book in big fan of seinfeld curb and i was also a little bit nervous. Because you know he's still smart and the things he's done he's kinda brilliant his area of expertise and i just know how would be on stage if he was going to be like larry david from curb and He was except he wasn't as mean and he said that he you know he thinks like that but if he says the things that he said on curbed in real life he'd probably get beaten up. We actually became friends from that buster. Where like he's a huge yankee fan. And not just like you. Sometimes you get celebrity fans and it's kind of surface. He really knows the yankees and he knows the jets. And you're doing it games. I'll see techs come up on my phone. Why did they do that. I don't understand how they did that. So just to become like quasi firms with larry david from that interview that's That may be. It'll be worthwhile to have him on your in your phone. That that's pretty cool The worst interview subjects. And why that would be dennis quaid He was doing the movie. The rookie remember that Jim our story about the teacher who ended up making it to the big leagues in his late thirties. So he played you morris and he goes to the studio and he thought it was like a kelly. Ripa seacrest thing eight minutes. And you're out. I don't know why as publicist wouldn't tell them it's going to our commitment. He was in a bad mood He had just broken up with meg. Ryan like the week before and he sat down and he's just wasn't ready to play so for the first two segments buster. He's going yes and no all the answers. No expansive answers nothing like that. So it's an segment show. And i leaned over after the second segment was over during you know the commercial spot and i said you know the shows in our whether you go yes or no. It's still an hour. I got houses of questions. I'm not gonna look bad. You're gonna look really bad so you can decide how go moving forward and i think he was startled because a lot of people don't talk to hollywood celebrities like that and he got a little bit better but it was still the worst interview we've done. Yeah i read. That and i just laughed allied with your description and i'm curious as since the book has come out of you heard from anybody in his camp. No no one. And it was really busters. I seen him on late night. Shows like kimmel and fallon and co bear. And he's great. He's funny he knows how to tell a story. But maybe just like my face. I don't look in the interviews. you do. There's always going to be the uncomfortable topic. Something that you know is. You're getting ready for it. You're wondering how the person going to react. What is the topic toughest subjects that you had to talk about with someone and you know what you remember about the reaction. I remember the one time. I thought i was gonna get hit. Because i'm a tito release days but i knew it was gonna be on the show for this segment so in addition to my t. I am drinking Crabbie's ginger beer. No oh okay. i've never had it before said. Oh that looks interesting tasty. It's too sweet okay. Hold on hold on see. I agree with that. But see the only time i've had crabbie's is what i've made the bourbon and ginger excel so actually use bourbon and ginger beer. And then you had the bidders and you still do a little bit of lime juice and it kills the sweetness but you really get fucked up because you're not using drill using ginger beer. That is my call. Ginger excels well. I'm gonna get diabetes. So that's that's being fucked up. That's fucked up fucked up your bank account greta. I i do agree. Crabs by itself. His sweet i think it was to offset the bitterness in spice from the ginger. Yeah because there's a. There's a lot of ginger in there as you expecting kick but it's not so much cake sweet they probably most people. Don't like the ginger when people actually have real ginger. They're like oh yeah. That's gingy was talking about that recently. I do like the heat of ginger beer like when the really like spicy ginger beers. But i can't do multiple drinks with that like i can't have more than like one or two before being. It's just too much you know you've got to mix it up a little bit but that's also. I need to get some ginger beer. I haven't had any in a while. But now we are onto our second part of the show. The the second segment that shares with you or ideas for alternate takes from From from the subject matter we're talking about in a little segment called making.

Behind The Numbers

"And most business owners have never really built a business that someone wants to actually perches and why is that. I mean i understand that. A lot of times folks create businesses with the idea of sometimes unfortunately creating a job for themselves rather than creating a business that works for them can you expound on that point of course so most business owners most entrepreneurs. There's there's a lot there's a lot of reasons number one. Most entrepreneurs always have the mentality that he wanted done right to yourself. So there's somewhat control rates. And i always say you know in order to grow. You have to let go of control. You can't be everything to everybody. Can't do everything so you really need to focus on your strengths higher weaknesses. So that's one of the biggest biggest Issues and the reasons that businesses can sell plus business owners really are treating their business more as her baby research child than as the most valuable asset that they should bill to exit one day so i think businesses really have to change their mindset and really figure out how to stop working in their business working on their business the infrastructure on what we call the six ps and exit wretch and build that valuable asset. So you gotta get out of your business. You gotta stop building a a job and you go to work every day versus a business and you and we're going to talk about your book. I neglected to mentioned the opening that you are the author of exit rich. And we're gonna be talking about that probably in the second segment but wanna just continue on this thread here just to kind of set the frame i get into that conversation and when you talk about mindset you mentioned that many business owners think of their business as their baby and i also hear that often and that's probably one of the largest reasons why owners are reluctant to sell talk about that mindset and how do you make them shift into something. That's more salable shall in business reluctant to sell. Because like i said they're not thinking about evolved in the day to day they're involved in the mundane task and they're so busy putting out fires. They're so busy henry in a day to day. It's never really think. Past the day to day..

"A creative marketing campaign that caught your attention broke through the clutter. There is a pretty historic commercial or mascot series of commercials that just keeps on going and going and going and going. Do you mind sharing that your earlier. We were talking about the energizer bunny commercials from the eighties. Where it's a bunny toy. It's like a drummer bunny. And the bunny doesn't stop drumming and i think in the original commercials what you saw was like a fifteen second segment of the bunny and something about The battery life of the energizer battery and then it cuts to a different commercial and then the bunny comes back and was just brilliant in terms of its creativity its execution and here we are. We're talking about forty years later. It's so brilliant that it talks about keep going going going and it's had such lasting impact that obviously keep reusing it kind of like what you're talking about. What a mess of different things. And just oh. Let's see what happens here. The combination of bunny a drum and battery like it's it's such a random combination but it really works still to this day and you have a a personal tie back to the energizer bunny or bunny in general as well. You mentioned that yeah so earlier before we started recording. We're talking about my daughter and and one of her nicknames. That i call her is bunny and she is super high energy kid and over the weekend we my parents were telling her about the energizer bunny commercials and she is like the energizer bunny So that's why became top of mind and now so come into a room and she'll start clapping the bunny and then she'll go out and then come back five minutes later. It's very funny right. That's a perfect halloween costume. I mean you can do that every single year. That's so cool. I mean sounds like a great nickname. Obviously full of curiosity creativity. Why do you think this commercial in this mascot has been able to have such staying power..

"Five o'clock hour. You'll hear them we play Two segments of 5 25 50, You know, it's been a lot of talk, I guess for the last couple of years, thanks to the work, folks. About taking down statues. Of usually they're American historical figures. I got one that I think would surprise you that apparently got beheaded. Not only tour off the top half of the head of the statue A broken off at the ankles. Why? I think this is a bit of a surprise Mothers happened up in Davis, California, a place called Central Park. They have there. It's a statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Oh, he's no good either. You want to hear why allegedly Sure. It's a 6 ft. 3 £650 bronze Statue of Peace. That the nation of India Gave to the city in 2016. There have been protests and outrage from seek residents and activists ever since seeks, they believe seeks right because India is split between Thinking Indian Hindus, Hindus and Sikhs. Hey, believe that Gandhi is guilty of you ready for the list, genocides, genocide, racism and molestation molestation. And here is where Supposedly these beliefs come from. 1903 As a lawyer in South Africa, Gandhi wrote that black people were troublesome, very dirty and live like animals. And although he promoted getting women into politics, he regularly slept naked next to his grand niece, then a teenager when he was in his seventies. He claimed he wanted to test his willpower to remain celibate. Oh, well, but people today would find that. Uh, no good, hard, hard to vouch for. Be statement from the California secret. What do we do? We know if he if he passed the test or not, or did the poor girl get Get the uncle rolling over. I know it Zagreb and knee, So he's granduncle. Yeah, he's gonna seventies at this point, right, and he's decided to naked teenage and he's going to test himself sexually to see if he can withhold Control his desires for his grand niece. Yes, three lays next 70 plus year old guys laying naked next to his granny's just to see if he can keep himself from Yes, there was a link to an NPR story that is deeply revered. But his attitudes on race and sex are under scrutiny that other comments pretty nasty If he said that this story came out in October of 2019 wasn't aware there were questions about Gandhi. You know what? Because everything's a myth. There are no good people. There are no spiritually whole yours. I think the word you know they're not all right. Everybody's a jackass privately. Everybody says stuff. Some people do stuff that is just objectionable. So people walk around morally preening about how all the myth making around certain leaders, especially if they have some kind of religious spirituals, States step going guru types, which I think Gandhi was. So, Yeah, I just never buy into it it whether you have evidence for me or not. I just don't. I don't believe it. I don't think anybody's like that. Nobody's perfect. So if if you want to tear everybody down You can You just have to find out what what he mutters about buying closed doors. Although in this case you know Nate being naked Grandes jeez. I, um Yeah, I'm looking at this story that NPR did she still around? I wonder I don't know you. But it does say in 1903. When he was in South Africa, he wrote that white people should be the predominating race. And that, he wrote, this black people are troublesome, dirty and live like animals. I didn't have did that stuff that must have always been known that he said those things right, he said Indians were almost a civilized and Africans were uncivilized. So he's got a lot of these. Europeans were the most civilized according to it. Remember, this is 1903 I have in the world, right? That's dead. I mean, that's very common sentiment, Then a lot of American leaders talk like that, too. They beheaded. The statute beheaded the statue. They were pretty worked up over this, but he's a statement they put out after After we lobbied and residents lobby to remove Gandhi's statue, it seems like frustrations have come to a boiling point. Now the California CQ The Lions didn't say that they did this. We want to make it clear we don't condone this behavior. But there's no disputing that Gandhi represents racism, anti blackness and is a blatant affront. The city of Davis's values. Yeah. Never heard any of this. But I never really cared about Gandhi. I just I don't know much about him because I just didn't buy into this stick that he was this, uh Oh, peace was Saint. He's most known by by people. It's just been a peaceful protest was and I just find that symbolic nonsense to be you like to punch people, right? You're gonna argue you might as well go all the way, all right, coming up. Next, we'll talk to Steve Gregory about the outdoor dining band in L. A county being lifted in some of the new rules. Also coming up next hour. We're going to talk to the owner of a sports bar and grill in Agoura Hills. He's one of the two restaurants in L. A county sued yesterday for staying open. "Radio So never a great way to start, you know, Somber second segment. Pardon me, but Know Coby was Was just uniquely different and uniquely special, and obviously every human life Equates to the same. That's why we always mention the other. Three other people perished in the crash along with Kobe is beautiful daughter. Few other girls just just horrendous. It's just that you can't explain that stuff. We're not gonna try to its way above our pay pay great here, But you know when I look at Kobe teak, the thing that there's three things that jump out about me about about him to me. Pardon me, And you can't say this about every old time. Great. Some of them you can But this is what separates Kobe from so many of his all time great peers. He had incredible style, Okay, backed by incredible substance, But you can honestly say that Kobe drained every ounce of potential. From his arsenal. And there's other great players like again. This is not to, like start disparaging like, but I think somebody Alan Iverson just jumps in my head. You know Alban Iverson as great as our diverse it wasn't and Kobe historically rates better clearly, but No, I haven't obviously going Atlantic City, you know, admittedly drank a lot gambling. Did he waste years? Yeah, Catch up. Yes, that he trained that he'd properly know when you incorporate and there's even shack, Kobe's teammate. When you look at this style and the substance and this this single mindedness like Jordan to just extract every ounce of whatever God gave you to maximize your athletic worth. Kobe Bryant. Yeah, no, there's no doubt about it, Petey. And it's and it's interesting to me because a lot of people who I guess softly follow sports and not like die hards and that they softly follow sport. They were affected by this. Because Kobe was that that athlete everyone felt like they knew, um, personally, even though they might not even been a fan, and I think a lot of that is a testament to his charisma. But it wasn't necessarily his on court charisma because he was you know it self. Admittedly, he was a pain in the butt like he was a bad friend. He even talked about this. I was singularly focused on being great. And you mentioned Allen Iverson, and it's a good contrast because Ai who I loved. He's a good dude. But he let the demons that come from being a celebrity. This distract him didn't really derail him. I mean, but it distracted him. I think it derailed the year two with then birthday And I think that I mean, ultimately was success. Successful like me, and he's in his revered but it definitely took him off the like the path. Of elite Nus, um, you know, for for for bit there now, the other thing with the eyes that he wasn't physically just gifted. Um, like Kobe Bryant was and the only person I guess this is current only because LeBron James has been He's He's our keys on our goat. He's our generation's goatees. Unbelievable. The amount of money he spends on his on his body. What do you say? A million dollars last year on the upkeep of his body? Um, and the constant reinvention of himself. The The manipulation and the fun in the manufacturing of slights to motivate him. That's exactly what Kobe did. He was that kind of player, he would find reasons. Be pissed off so that he would play harder And that's I mean, that's hard to do, especially when you're making a ton of money you're already successful, but to continually do that is something that takes a special kind of mindset and and drive, and I think that's what I take away from. But obviously all the accolades in the 81 all the successes. The rings. That's one thing, but it's the it's the mindset that he constantly had that you respect, especially if you've tried to do anything at a high level for a long time. Yeah, Brady's got that mind set, right, You know, Now I think it's fair to say when, when Kobe was born, Kobe's You know, athletic prowess with the I don't even know if you can calculate How much more advanced. It was not to say Kobe did Mork are but just in terms of being blessed with sheer physical attributes much like you in, mate. I mean, you know just you are and you have to work your tail off button. Inherently, just based on your dad was a college football player and have the genes in your family. You would rendezvous. Randy's gonna join us next, by the way, Talk about the bucks and everything else. You were just born inherently more athletic than me. Much like Kobe was born Maura, politically athletically inherit inherently athletic then than Tom Brady. But the single mindedness to never deviate from It's almost like they and you read this a lot. But it almost seems hollow with a certain with outside of a few people in Kobe is one of them like the wind and the feeling from the wind would dissipate fast and the remorse and that the heaviness from the defeat is what would propel him for months. But it's not just about the basketball stuff, and that's what you said before. You know, even if you just, you know, surface fan. There was, um, because his daughter was with him. Was that the family aspect? You know, that is just undeniable that, um Just really makes it one of the Saturdays that we've had. And I would say, said I would go Sorry. I sadist in my lifetime. You know when Len Bias died, and I've referenced that a few times we didn't really know him because he was just finishing up in Maryland. I just signed the contract with Reebok just rented by. The Celtics did cocaine and his heart gave out. He died, But we knew released. We felt like we knew Kobe..
