'Smash and Grab,' a Product of Moral Decay

"The smash and grab craze happening across America. It's just another sign of moral decay. What we're seeing happening all across the country and this really started during Floyd palooza and it's continuing. Is hundreds if not thousands of criminals that go into stores, grab whatever they want and then leave. Now, of course, in San Francisco, they will not prosecute theft unless it's over a certain dollar when I think the dollar amounts like $950. But cut 50, here's a small business owner in Democrat run Oakland, California, saying he might just shut down his business because he says, I can't take this many break ins, go to cut 40. I don't know how many more incidents like this. We can take to keep our doors open. One of the owners of renegade running Victor Diaz is contemplating keeping his doors open for business in Oakland after they were most recently shattered late Sunday Night. And cut 5 a security guard was killed over the weekend. You probably didn't hear about this. As these criminals, these thugs in these vigilantes are just going in and taking whatever they want. This is happening all across the country, by the way. And what happens is a group of 30 or 40 criminals show up to a store and they just flood it and they take what they want and no one dares stop them. Play cut 5. So these gangs of smash and grab thieves raising alarms across the nation, a couple of shops getting hit over the holiday weekend in Fresno, California. It's not just California where it's going on. The organized looting now spreading other parts of the country as well. Also, when I mentioned Kevin ishida, he was a Bay Area security guard who was killed over the weekend during one of these smash and grab deals. So who benefits from this type of anarchy? Remember, that's the most important question that you can ask with any of these things. When things start to unravel and they don't make sense, you need to ask yourself the question who benefits? Well, one more piece of sound cut 9, Fox News report on a Home Depot that was looted for crowbars and mallets. Don't wear everybody. They just want the crowbars because they're going to be building swing sets. That's right. Play cut 9. A group of about 15 to 20 suspects stormed a Home Depot store in Lakewood and stole crowbars, mallets, and sledgehammers before jumping in a bunch of getaway vehicles. Some now fear what those sleeves might plan on doing with those tools. These robberies are leaving many holiday shoppers on edge.

Taliban Takes Full Control of Afghanistan

"Chief foreign correspondent. Richard engel as you probably know. He has spent big portions of the last two decades of his life in afghanistan during the war. There richard also just weeks ago reported on some of the last fierce fighting by elite afghan commando units fighting against taliban forces. We know that was some of the last fighting like that. That there was in afghanistan and richard. Was there in the middle of it but now that the taliban have been able to take control of. I all the provincial capitals and then the whole country including kabul without fighting at all not in a military operation but just in what appears to have been a negotiated surrender by afghan government forces and the afghan military all over the country as the taliban have now walked in to kabul without firing a shot. Richard has been there reporting around the clock as they have taken over again. As i mentioned we have been battling technical difficulties as you might imagine for some obvious reasons. But i do believe we've got our dear friend. Richard engel now joining us live. Richard thank you. I'm sorry to have you up at this hour. Thank you no problem at all. Comes with the territory with your show seriously seriously. I have bad technical. Gremlins karma as you know from the very beginning richard. Let me just ask you how you are right now. What this last few days has been like for you with all that you've seen in kabul over the years and what you're expecting over the day that is newly donning right now where you stand. So the taliban are spreading their wings they are establishing more and more of their control. They're trying to establish a government. The first two days in power they were coming out of the woodwork. So to speak they were battling lueders because that that happened here there was a collapse of law and order when ashraf ghani. The president fled when all the police fled. Even local security guards

She took down a fan who jumped into center field. The interloper was quick on his feet. He even hurdled. She leveled up and grab just enough of his jersey to flip him over the railing. And back into the stands. The crowd went wild and soden social media with posts calling her the mvp and some football fans asking their favorite teams to sign her to a contract as for the field crusher. California Is a Land of Crime and Homelessness - Larry Elder Plans to Save It

"Have now passed over the decades into a place where california at the at the top of the list. Things are so bad and so broken down the level of crime the level of homelessness in cities they were once find cities like san francisco. I mean talk about that. We have homeless encampments. And it doesn't seem like nancy pelosi or anybody who's willing to lift a finger to protect people already to keep people safe you know and just a few months ago. A governor gavin newsom was assaulted by homeless man and he was protected by his purity guard. Most of us don't have security guards in just a few days ago. Barbara boxer was mugged by somebody in oakland and her cell phone was takings. Homelessness had gone through the roof and his avenue. Answer is housing first without dealing with why people are homeless in the first place. So even if you're going to build enough housing and there's enough money to build enough housing done anything to cause people to go to the houses let alone to stay there. And all you've done is encouraged. Other people from cold weather stays to say. Wow if i come to california. I'll be treated with dignity compassion and everybody deserves it and it'll get free needles and i'll get a free home. Come on down to cops. Tell me a lot of the people who are homeless. Pitching tents who are living in skid row. Aren't even from california. So one of the things. I'm gonna do with involved are religious organizations in mentoring people to get off the ground off the streets. They're going to church. They're going to be adopting streets. Adopting blocks adopting neighborhoods. And i'm going to unleash the private sector. I'm gonna suspend sequel. The i told you about earlier so that we can build low cost. Housing low cost apartments so to the extent. Get some people off and and get them self-sufficient they'll have somewhere to live so all of that has to happen is not happening right now. And again. i mentioned. I mentioned crimewatch. We have this narrative narrative assault on the police choosing the place of systemic racism. So what they're doing is engaging in passive policing opposed to proactive policing bad guys. Know it crime goes up in the very victims of this. Crime are the very black and brown people that the left claims that they were about. It's

Did Hamdi Kayapinar Kill Sami Yilmaz?

"Saami yilmaz a retired specialists. Sergeant vigilantly patrolled the private villa of his latest client a wealthy businessman but as he made his rounds he was also being watched. A man with a hunting rifle hid nearby silently observing yilmaz. He bided his time as the security guard walked the perimeter waiting patiently until there was no one else around when the time had come the man leaned out from the shadows and squeeze the trigger yilmaz drop to the ground dead. The gunman ran to his body and rifled through his pockets. He stole money in any other valuables he could find including yilmaz gun after concealing the weapons. The assailant hopped onto a bright red bicycle and fled the scene. During the subsequent investigation authorities watched almost one thousand hours of surveillance footage since the killer's face was covered by a ski mask. They didn't have much hope of identifying him. That is until the video showed the assassin riding his red bike. The image gave them chills in the past. There was an active serial killer in the area known for traveling on a similar red bike known as the canal monster. The murderer had already been caught and convicted. But he'd been released from prison just a year earlier while it seemed that an ex-con who'd already served his time would take such a risk. This particular killer was undoubtedly reckless the canal monster murders just a few months after the culprit finished serving time. For killing his younger

The Trial of Sacco and Vanzetti

"The crime itself took place on april fifteenth. Nineteen twenty a security guard named allesandro bernardini. And a paymaster named frederick param mentor were delivering the payroll for the slater. More shoe company factory in braintree massachusetts. The men were carrying two large steel boxes full of cash when they were approached by two men and shot dead in the street. The two men took the boxes of cash containing over fifteen thousand dollars and fled in a waiting car to make very long story short. The police suspected italian anarchist based on previous similar crimes. When running up a lead on the getaway car they found connections with people who had weapons that mashed the ones used in the crime. This led them to sako and vans. eddie when asked about guns. They said they never owned any yet. They were carrying firearms on their person at the time they were placed into custody and charged with murder on may fifth and the trial began june. Twenty second i'm vastly over simplifying the case at this point and how they were arrested but suffice to say they were arrested and this is where the real story starts. The trial was a mess on many different levels. The prosecution relied on ethnic differences between the italian defendants and the jurors. There were conflicting testimonies. The witnesses claimed that they saw different things and they had different stories for each defendant. There was conflicting ballistics testimony. The defendants politics were also brought into the trial to prejudice the jury against them. It was also brought forward that both men went to mexico. Nineteen seventeen to escape the draft for world war one. A defense committee was founded soon after their arrests. But they didn't really help during the trial vans eddie. At one point claim that their defense was so bad that they might as well have been working for the prosecutor's on september fourteenth. The jury took only three hours to find both men. Guilty of murder after the indictment. It's believed that the galliani organization began a bombing campaign in retribution in addition to a series of mail bombs sent to us embassies around the world. They were also responsible for the wall. Street bombing of september sixteenth. That bomb killed forty people and injured one hundred and forty three. It was the deadliest terrorist attack in american history up until that point at the same time of the trial. Most people in the country still hadn't heard of soko and vans eddie. The trial itself was really only reported on boston. It was only after the trial when the reports of how these men were treated were made public that the men became a cause celebre.

Small Businesses Struggle to Hire in Tight Labor Market

"As more parts of the us fully reopen. The number of people seeking employment has been on the downturn but businesses are still struggling to find workers. Large companies like amazon and mcdonald's are raising wages or even offering signing bonuses for small businesses looking to hire. That's making it even harder to compete joining me now with more on this is wall street journal. Reporter alison praying. Hi allison thanks for joining me. Of course thanks for having me so often you've been talking to some small businesses who are looking for workers right now. What are they told you about. Some of the challenges they're facing it's a tight labor market. You know this is what big businesses are facing to we saw amazon is trying to incentivize hiring seventy thousand workers by offering some one thousand dollar bonuses. So we're seeing that. This is a really tough labor market across the board but small businesses. One told me for example. They found people but they weren't literate in using the computer so that was a problem. Another company i talked to is having a problem hiring armed security guards and has actually had to turn away business because of that or it eats into his profit margins and his profit because he's having to pay people overtime pay who do work for him. They're even going as far as rely on interns for helping when they're short staffed at the company so this really is impacting businesses. And it's they're just saying there's a lack of talent and one even told me that looking ahead to how big is company does need to grow. He's going to kind of tap out of the talent that's available in the. Us

In the unlikely event that it's dry, please please indicate in some way, shape or form, but we're gonna souvenir all wet. So this is our way basically of of having a asterisk playoff on this getting getting them the heck out of the way on this too. We will go on more car accidents guy shot in a wheelchair. Also, L sports. Vol Kellyanne take Kevin figgers will join us. And we are we are going to talk about the association of American football. And I got I gotta say I tuned into a couple of games last weekend. I didn't talk about it. Yesterday, and today and all all I know is maybe it's because I'm a junkie all I know is I saw football. Okay. I didn't see pre-bus donnas. No one was taking no one was bringing politics to the game. Nonetheless. I saw I saw a quarterback in a huddle. The huddle breaks. They take their set egos under center e says hiked the ball snapped. And I said football. That's what I saw. What is funny because I would be interested in seeing like Alabama play one of these teams. But there's no doubt the guys in the association. There's there's slogan should be it should be af space af. But there is a loose partnership with the NFL, and that's all I all I know is watching these games. These guys are getting paid to play football is better than arena football. They're actually hitting. There's there's no two hand, touch or anything like that. Mike single Terry is coaching. Steve Spurrier is coaching a team. I mean, these guys, you know, their names reputations online. So I'm giving it a chance I'm watching it. And it's because I think that they found a they found obvious sweet spot right after the NFL season starts, so they have the sweet spot for people who don't wanna watch the NBA. I'm really curious about how the NBA all star game. Did tonight. Normally doesn't do great of the the NBA. It was interesting because I was hearing Steve Hartman, formerly former loose cannon from down the hall at five seventy Kelly. He was talking about the fact that there was a game last week. It was it was Oklahoma City at Houston somebody. I mean, it was NBA star James harden. And it was I forget who it was. It wasn't going to say. But it was it was the premier game of the day. And the af beat them the upstart association American football beat the premier. Nba game of the day on a Sunday. So I mean, America likes football. That's that's what we're seeing. So anyway, we'll talk with figures about it. Also, the Genesis tournament concluding today in Los Angeles and tiger ahead is run. It's been happening lately. But his run backed off and will this is going to be a big tournament because this is part of the tiger foundation. Well, the bouncers of the years far as I'm concerned and good good fighting these guys this was early Saturday morning to bouncers managed to disarm and detain a man who had stabbed both of them and shot one of them. During a confrontation at dukes early Sunday morning who goes Cesar Garcia, how of Moreno valley. Thirty two year old man was booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Being a felon in possession of a firearm being a felony possession of ammunition and possession and possession of a firearm along with drugs, according to riverside, PD the violence unfolded just after midnight in the thirty two hundred block of Iowa avenue. He was denied entry into a bar dukes and began fighting with the bouncer during quote during the physical altercation. The suspect pulled a knife stabbed the security guard a second security guard assisted and also sustained stab wounds from the suspect he then pulled a gun and opened fire on both bouncers, but miss key members within able. Detain the guy on the ground until officers after the rise in and disarmed him of the knife and the firearm so how he missed him. I don't know. What kind of again it was. I don't know. But I I don't think they pay these guys, and I don't want security guards make and I'm wondering what the restraint they use. Because I mean, if I had been stabbed and shot at right, and you have control of the guy and he's not in the hospital. Interesting. I if they had show came out and said and said, this is a fight for our lives. We were on armed and he had a knife. And a gun had used them both on us. He was not getting disarmed, and I put my I put him in a sleeper, hopefully, stop moving your honor. And I didn't feel his heart stop or would. I mean if they had killed him. I wouldn't call it self defense. But these guys not just the restrained him, but they disarmed him. And they and they said he was high illegal drugs. So it will be did it all start with the he refused. Put out a cigarette walking and walking into dukes. And you'd think in a couple of days. Any place called dukes would require smoking. But this two thousand nineteen he wouldn't put the cigarette out. And then then he chose a brilliant course of action. That's to argue with the two big security guards outside the the bar. And he's thinking, well, I'm gonna win because I have a knife and a gun, and this is where this guy's impaired. I mean big time because he's thinking here's a rational thing to do instead of just walking lane going to the next place. Go to Dick's or whatever I'm going to use a knife and a gun because I'm going to get in that place that bat that must be the most the most lit club and all of riverside. And there were two bouncers at least and he's going at Adam both. So what kind of places, and so it will be curious. And and I would just have to say this. Mr. Garcia house if his status in this country is on the up and up then we won't hear about it. But if it is not on the up and up, and he sounds by the way, if he's a prior felon in possession of a firearm. If he's not here on the up and up I will here pretty quickly. I'm guessing by the end of the show tonight. My. People people in the know are going to give me the heads up on this. But is not going to be a story because no one's debt, but there's two guys that could be dead. Been. So if like you say if if we don't hear anything it's because he's on the up and up if if if Hugo Garcia is is not here in a legal status. We'll we'll hear I will hear that a guarantee. All right. We'll take great moon when we come back a horrible story. Yucaipa a man shot in his wheelchair. Another man shot in his Oxnard.
