A Real Man Is 'Engaged' With Chuck Holton
"Describe what a man's character should be like. We'll talk about the steps in a second, but give us some adjectives. I can just give you one, and that's engaged. I think if you had to boil it down to one, it would be engaged. A man is engaged in every area of his life. And to the extent that is that what you meant at the beginning by hustle, or is that something else? Yes. All right, so unpack hustle or engaged. Well, when a man is engaged in the world around him, he's very powerful. He has a power to affect the world around him. The world wants you to be passive, which is the opposite of engaged. And passivity in the form of passive activities, social media, watching television, things like that. Is kind of the kryptonite for men. And so a powerful man, a good man is an engaged man. And again, to the extent that I'm engaged, I'm going to be redeeming the world around me.

Who Helped Chuck Holton Define What It Is to Be a Man?
"The greatest influence upon you? This is a really fun question. For a lot of our guests, of course, it's their father, for some, it was football coach. It was their training sergeant. It was for Jack Carr, the former seal, the author of terminal list. He said it was fictional characters, heroes that he read stories about in your life, who the people who helped you understand the definition of what it is to be a man. You know, I was very fortunate to grow up in a time and place in America where I was surrounded by positive good male role models and most of these guys were military veterans. They had come back from either World War II or Korea. They were my coaches, my teachers, and a lot of guys at my church, when I grew up, we went to church every Sunday and my parents must have gone around to all the other families in search and said, if you see little Charlie doing anything, you shouldn't be doing. You kick his butt and then tell us and we'll do it again. Because I probably got disciplined by every guy in that church as a rambunctious young man. But those guys very often would pull me aside and say, you know, I see something special in you, and you've got what it takes. And that kind of affirmation coming from guys that combat veterans and things like that was very powerful in my life. And when they would take me camping or take me with them to work or hire me to work around their ranch, I was soaked up manhood from watching them. And I think that's something that our kids really don't get these days anymore, unfortunately. Our kids are going to have role models. One way or another. And God forbid it's something like sports star that paints his hair blue or some idiot on TV. There are plenty of positive male role models out there. I just think we've got to work a little harder to get our sons around those guys.

'Making Men' Author Chuck Holton Pinpoints the Assault on Manhood
"What do you think of all the various options we have media, social media, colleges, we have the high schools, Hollywood, you name it, what is the most pernicious source of this assault? If you had to say military terms, the center of gravity for the assault on classic manhood comes from X, what do you think is the most dangerous? Public schools. You know, if you, if you read the book, Atlas shrugged, there's a very good quote in there from a woman in the book who is homeschooling her boys, and that was at a time when that was not done. And she said, I will not abandon my sons to a system that teaches them to be afraid. And I think that that's a very good description of what public schooling is all about these days. It's lowest common denominator education. It is designed to make your kids just compliant little sheep. And to remove from them, the impetus to hustle. And I think the one thing that you should be able to teach your sons if you don't do anything else is to teach them the concept of hustle and I think public schools do a very great disservice to our kids in that regard.

War Correspondent Chuck Holton Tells Us About His Career Path
"For those who haven't met you before a senior war correspondent footage and coverage of late. Tell us a little bit about your career path, how you got to be. What did you say before we came on air? How many you just got back from a trip? How many nations in Asia did you visit in how many days? Half a dozen Asian nations in 14 days. I usually travel to about 25 countries a year. And I've been doing that for two decades. I started out in the special operations community in the U.S. Army, where it was in the army for 8 years, flew helicopters the last four of those. And then once I got out of college, I became a stockbroker for about ten years. And made a lot of money, honestly, but had this epiphany when I realized that all of my clients who were all multi millionaires told me at some point in our relationship, you know, I just wish I spent more time with my kids. And I realized that I was headed down that same path. And so I started looking for a way to restructure my life where I could have more impact on my children and have more time with them. So that's how I became a writer. And that, you know, that had its own challenges, but not the least of which it was a lot less money. But it led to me getting called because I was writing about military topics right at the beginning of the war. Getting called from certain agencies, news agencies to become kind of a talking head. And then got asked to go to the war zone and cover the war. And that's how I got to be a work correspondent.

Of course he's going to be under the guidance or the care of the Secret Service to protection of the Secret Service. I guess they have to accompany him as he goes through this the indignities of this process, Arthur, will he be handcuffed or not? If I'm betting $20. You have a whopping 20. I'm going to say no. You don't think I'm going to say. No, there's a lot of discretion. There's a lot of discretion, even if Donald Trump wanted to be here for the photo op of it all. I don't see it happening. I see the Secret Service stepping in. You know, it's interesting. You talk about jail, right? Imagine he did get sentenced to jail. Imagine get sentenced to one week in jail. He's a New York City trial attorney, joins us from New York City where I will be in just a few hours to cover all of this next week in Lower Manhattan. What size free Trump T-shirt should I get you? Should I order you counselor? Well, I'm thinking it's probably going to, this is going to plot in the phrase Trump Frank Sinatra's mugshot, which is a pretty popular mug shot for decades, but I think Elvis Presley's got one out there as well. Look, I've lived in this world. I grew up in this world. My dad was an assistant district attorney in the Manhattan DA's office under the DA who was called Frank Hogan. He was there for three decades plus. And, you know, Frank Hogan had an expression and he said, never play politics with people's lives. And in this particular case, Alvin Bragg is not just playing politics with Donald Trump's life. He's playing politics with the American lives because on so many levels. But on the most obvious one is people may want to vote for him for president of the United States. Now this does not eliminate him from running for president of the United States. What it definitely puts up speed bump in his path. If anyone could turn lemons into lemonade, there's no one better at it than Donald Trump. He'll figure out as you just said, some way to make this mug shot into something positive for his reelection. But it's just not how the system is supposed to work, Mike. And that's the bummer of this hope.

Mark Levin: Spending Time With President Trump Today

What a terrible couple days and what a disappointing news cycle that is followed of sensitivity to pronouns and trans people, but not to dead children, Libby, before we dive into it, just the floor is yours. Your thoughts and we'll go from there. Yeah, I would have done as you were Charlie when I saw on Monday that there was another school shooting. And it was even more shocking to see that it was carried out this time by a young woman, and that it turns out that that young woman actually believed that she was a male and used pronouns that were male pronouns. It was really a surprise to see that. And in the days that followed in the hours that followed, even more surprising and horrifying to perhaps not more horrifying. But pretty surprising was that mainstream media outlets started advocating for the use of these. He him pronouns and were prioritizing the use of pronouns over discussing the victims and the children that were killed. And things like that. So it was pretty surprising. Also, then we saw on Twitter, Twitter started banning people who were talking about this other thing, which is upcoming Saturday in Washington, D.C., several networks, some of them antifa affiliated all of them trans advocacy groups are organizing what they are calling a trans day of vengeance outside of the Supreme Court. And what is this even about? They're talking about bringing buddies wearing masks. So they think it's still the summer of 2020 out there. And they're still going ahead with this despite the shooting.

Starbucks' Howard Schultz defends union stance before Senate
"Longtime Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has defended the coffee giants union stance before a Senate panel, the testimony was often testy with Senate health, education, labor, and pensions committee chair Bernie Sanders, saying federal courts and the national labor relations board have found Starbucks guilty of labor law violations. The most aggressive and illegal union bustling campaign in the modern history of our country. Schultz fought back. Starbucks has not broken the law. Saying, while the companies willing to bargain with unionized workers, they don't need unions because Starbucks gives them good pay and benefits. We do nothing that is nefarious. We put our people first. Ex barista, Jason saxton, told a different story, saying Starbucks fired workers and cut hours after his Augusta Georgia shop voted to unionize last year. He led a two day strike in protest. I was fired after organizing like so many union leaders across the country. Saxton says big companies like Starbucks do whatever they can to deny workers a voice.

Doug Comments on the Recent Nashville Tragedy
"Want to not the overlook again, another tragedy in Nashville yesterday. In this week of what happened in the shooting at the school, again, tragic person, mentally unbalanced, I don't care what anybody says, you don't do that without having a problem in your life. Also, it's really interesting to me, is, again, we're starting to hear some of the, you know, take the gun mentality from this because they were using AR-15s and others in this situation. This was someone who posted online that they were choosing targets or choose a target that was not defended. Again, soft targets are the problem here folks. And it takes nothing away from the tragedy of the ones who've lost live. I'm in prayer for them. I prayed for them. And you can't make it up. You can't take a parent and give them their child back. And then just doesn't happen. But it is sad to me that the more we're seeing that more and more of these shooters are picking soft targets. In other words, targets that are not hardened, they're not. You know, in a way of being protected, it should be more of the concern to us. And then you're gonna have the whole issue with the transgender issue here and it's already, you've already noticed that they're not talking about this as much in mainstream media. Folks, it needs to be talked about. It was pointed out by someone just the other day that just in the last few hours about this tragedy that they want to go after this quote, assault rifles in which you had 7 killed yesterday, but yet in Virginia tech, just about 15 years ago, you had somebody with a handgun kill 30 something. I mean, folks, it's the target, not the weapons being used. People who have mental imbalance who want to do things like that will find whatever weapon they can to Harlow's harm.

Transgender Vengeance? With Jack Posobiec
"Jack, there's going to be some hesitancy to continue to pass these bills. Preventing gender mutilation and all this, should we stop? Should we pause or should we move forward? Regardless of how they're now using this as threats to go kill children. Jack your thoughts. Charlie, I don't think that terrorist acts by a completely insane group should change us ever from our course of following our Christian values following the values that we know that work for children for our society and we certainly should never renounce these views or if anything denounced the views of our faith just because of some horrific acts that were taken out in response to that faith. And when I look at these bills, when I look at advancing these types of things, I think it should be advanced across as far as far as the country as we can get them. Because again, we are talking about bills that are not. They do not touch anything when it comes to over 18. We're talking about bills that target children, that whether it becomes drag queen story hours, these drag story times, the family friendly drag shows and increasingly transgender surgeries, procedures, hormones, that are given to children. These are life altering surgeries. And in many cases, Charlie and I've said this on human events daily, that when you are given testosterone, specifically, every study that's come out has shown this that it increases aggression. No big issues yet on 70. If you're riding between Baltimore and Hagerstown and back, again, the further west you go, you're dealing with a lot more road spray. "Bring in one of retail's most well-known CEOs. Mickey drexler, Mickey, of course, Ryan gap and J crew. He's now the CEO of apparel company. Alex mil Mickey, great to see you. It's been a while. Thank you, Melissa, nice to see you. So you say there's no reason to be bullish retail these days. That sounds horrible coming from somebody who is in the industry right now. Why? Well, and these are my opinions, the environments incredibly difficult. And what you see, and I hear that anecdotally, and we're feeling it a bit over the last week or two. What you're seeing out there is enormous discounts on merchandising on merchandise because there's inventory glut again from what I hear and I speak to a lot of people and I like to study the industry, but I think I'd be concerned, we're very concerned and we have a tiny little business right now that very excited about and it's growing well. But big sales, big discounts, and today is Amazon Prime day and target dollar day. And it just reminds people, I think, of the fact that there's a lot on sale. You can buy a lot on sale and I think it's been a factor over the last few years. It's an issue about why pay full price if I can get it on sale. That plus inflation which we know about. So we're being very defensive about business and I think right now I think it's the right thing to do. Nikki it's Karen Feynman. Thanks so much for being on. I love hearing your thoughts because you're such a beating around the industry a long time and many cycles. Many cycles you've seen. But when you think about this one and you think about other cycles that you've been through, how long does it take do you think for this to shake out for the inventory issues to recede and to get back to a more normalized less promotions and more confidence that the consumer will be there? Well, I don't really have a crystal ball on that. My opinion is worth whatever anyone's opinion is. I think the environment in America in the world is as tough as I've seen it and I'm not an economist. I'm not an analyst, but what's in the air is very difficult, the pricing is very difficult. The freight, the increase in fabrics, I look at a lot of retail prices and I'm stunned. And there's really no accident today about no surprise about the huge discounts you're seeing up to 70% here, there and everywhere. Because I think a lot of people got bullish. I also think post pandemic, it's been very hard to figure out where to invest your dollars. And I also think the assortments I always say this, you go into a store today, you go online. It's 50 more items or styles than you need. And we're trying right now. If you look in the back of me, that's a full men's collection. It's hard to shop, but if, you know, go online in the fall. But we've cut back a style counts dramatically. Why? Because the winners win, and then the stragglers cost you plenty of money. And you can't bet every horse in a race. So I don't know when it's going to end. I'm very concerned about everything I see and feel. I'm also thinking that the products out there, that's what drives retail business in the fashion business anyway or in the apparel business. Products are number one. King and queen, and that takes merchandisers and designers to create that. I don't see a big emphasis on product. My personal opinion, if you go out there, it's hard to shop products not great in a way, and I think the industry has a lot of senior executives who perhaps don't have the experience. You know, I've been doing this for a 110 years and you get harder every year. And so I think that's a big factor. You can't discount product. If you go to a restaurant, you want good food from a good chef and we all want to sense play the same role. So I feel there's a lot more emphasis on more of the marketing of social media, which is fine. It's critically important, but start with good product, and that's always the most important thing. I think a lot of people forget that. For a lot of years, people have been saying that certain stores are going to go out of business. There's no room. This environment is this going to be the environment that actually shakes out and weeds out some of the weaker players. And I guess I'm also thinking specifically of a company that you used to run the gap, the CEO just stepped down. Is there room in this sort of environment for a company like the gap? Well, there's room for any company that does it well. That excites the customer that's innovative creative and has great goods. Now, it's not easy in any business. Gap is not immune to the environment that we're in today. But it's always about leadership. It's always about intuition with a merchant designer and operating partners and marketing. So, you know, I always respected them. I'm friendly with their executive chairman who's a terrifically wonderful talented guy, Bobby Martin. And he's got a big challenge ahead. So turning it around. First of all, because to me, not great, because it gets so bureaucratic, big corporations. I always try to keep the jobs I've had small and intimate and micromanaging. And now in a very small company. But you know, I don't know, I can't answer what they could. It can be done, but all the big specialty companies, the big ones, are all not immune to what's going on. But I always get back, number one track my have the right goods, invest in the right way, and you'll win. So I think they're up for big challenges. As are many other companies. Mickey, it's always great to get your take. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you, nice to thanks a lot, Melissa. Take care. Mickey drexler. Of now Alex mill, some of those styles look like they'd be good on Tim Seymour. In terms of retail, how do you start thinking about, you know, if there's going to be some sort of shakeout, maybe some won't weather this inventory glut supply chain issue, period, as well as others. Those are some good-looking fashions behind Mickey. So anytime he wants to outfit me, I'm ready to roll. I think you have a dynamic where the inventory trends are well documented. I think some of the issues on logistics and ERP and things that are pushing a lot of these margins lower are things that are also priced in. But I think the consumer and where they are saturated at this point is something we haven't really priced in. But some of these trends that we're talking about and Mickey reference, I think are particularly difficult for department stores. So as much as I've been bullish on a turnaround in Macy's, it's hard for me to see how that environment gets better for them. The good news for retail right now is the king and the queen to use his terms are probably Nike and Lululemon, and we've gotten recent data points and earnings from them. We got fiscal four Q from Nike. They beat. They talked a bit about China and some of those dynamics, but it was a neutral guide, which I think is a victory. So there are folks

"Real read on retail, former gap in j.crew, Mickey drexler is joining us in a few to give us his take on the space and why you may want to look elsewhere for opportunity. But first, big tech earnings on deck, a lot of names gearing up to report results. So what can you expect we're breaking down the trades when this special edition of fast money return? Welcome back to fast money, big tech will be front and center this earnings season, but with early warnings from names like Microsoft and snap, what should we be prepared for? Let's trade it. And the plot thickens because we also basically got the cautionary words from Bill McDermott of service Bill McDermott excuse me a service now guy. I think to me at least in terms of valuation, the one you can get your arms around, I'm sure Karen would agree is Google. I think just on valuation alone, it's a compelling story. Problem obviously is ad spend and what's going on in that world. But to me, the key to this whole thing, this Microsoft say they have a demand problem going forward. They warned on currency a month or so ago. Do they warn on demand? That to me could be very problematic for the broader market. Karen, how do you think about ad spend in this environment when it comes to meta and Google? I think it will be lower. The question is, will it be lower by more or less than the stock is already lowered on the anticipation of it? Just want to touch on one thing that guy said, Microsoft on cloud, if what we just heard from Bill McDermott is the case and I have every reason to believe it is, then Microsoft is more levered to the cloud than Google, which also, the number three player. So I'm most comfortable with Google and meta. Yeah, Steve? I'm not comfortable, as I said before, with meta at all. I don't think they know where they're going. So it's hard for investors to follow. They're still an earnings machine, but I think people are looking through that because they're not sure what the endgame is, what the strategy is, and it has not been translated from management so that it's in a coherent understandable fashion that we could all invest around. Google, I would still be a buyer there, although I don't own it. I still own Apple. I'd be there, but I think if you look at these stocks and you know how I look at them based on the February 2020 level and whether or not that's the level or not, does it matter a lot of them are very lofty or very high above that level snap is not but when you look at snap, TikTok has sucked up all the air in the room. All right. Tim, you said that you want to hear the demand warning from big tech. Let's say that they a lot of the companies come out and they say things are fine. Does that make you feel any better? Are you just don't believe that really? Well, it's not that I don't believe them, but I think you rightly pointed and labeled Apple as a consumer discretionary. It's not. It's certainly not a Staples company. It's not really a hardware company. We're arguing very much that have for years. And I don't think either side of that business hardware or software or services are cheap guy referenced, at least some analyst assessment that the services business is going to be under a little bit more pressure. So the valuation just doesn't really make sense. It's the best company in the world. However, so it's not like the sky is falling. I think their balance sheet is pristine. There's a lot of levers they can pull. They are going to continue to innovate. But not here and now. And I guess I look at Microsoft Karen reference to the cloud business more important. This is a 100 billion plus run rate in cloud. So this is a massive, massive business that grew 29% last year. It's not going to go to 29% this year. And I think it's probably going to grow half of that. And this is a 50% plus international revenue story that has even more dollar pain ahead of it than they've announced. Meta perversely is the one where I think if anything on the communication they've been dialing back the messaging on the spend and especially as it relates to metaverse. So I think we've priced in all the cyclicality in their digital ad business of which they are still the juggernaut and no one's going to really knock them off that metal. And yes, a lot of this pulling back, but that's massive margin business. So I actually think the tone around meta don't love it either. I feel the need to put that disclaimer, don't like the company, don't like the service. But I think the stock has the ability to rally into these numbers, or coming out of these numbers. You agree with Tim in terms of your dislike for the product guy. I've always been such a disdain for Facebook. We've been on the Facebook recently. No, I've never been on the Facebook. No, I do agree with them in terms of stock. I think to his point, they've dialed back some of the rhetoric, but again, this stock is not traded well since they've made that pivot. And I mentioned Facebook earlier in terms of that huge move lower, thought it looked like a complete value into earnings ago. And then it obviously cascaded lower from there. You can make a very cogent coherent argument on valuation. But if we were to play the game, we play at 5 o'clock, would you rather? Oh, that one. Facebook or Google. Google at a market multiple with an 18 to 20% EPS growth in front of them to me makes the most sense. Coming up. Former retail

"And when we talk about value traps, it's your early cyclicals. It's companies trading at two, three, four, 5 times earnings not revenues. And you're finding it in autos, you're finding it in home builders, you're finding it in chemicals and energy and in certain financials. So really across the board. This is a place we would stay away from. If you get a pop in these names, this is, these are names that we want to take out and take out of the portfolio. One of the concerns I've had, Chris is just in terms of credit in the form of high yield HYG. That's obviously sort of been trading sideways recently, but that's one thing I'm focused on. Is that a concern that credits sort of the last to go in this domino effect of the market? Credit is a concern. We always watch credit watch how it trades. We watch the new issue market. It's wine year to date. The other thing is, if we're right on cyclicals, cyclicals are tied to IG and high yield, if the earnings begin to go down, if there's a D rating, you should see that way on credit and one will really reinforce the other. And that's not a great situation. Chris, it's Karen. Thanks for being on. So we see in cyclicals, right? They have cyclical multiples as well. Low multiples, when things are bad and actually counterintuitively, sometimes higher. How much do you think the E is going in will come down so that the PE isn't really what we think it is and the value isn't really what we think it is. Okay, Karen, I don't usually talk about stocks and I don't want to trip myself up, but today I looked at letter X it is training at less than two times earnings. What the market is saying is those earnings in three, 6, 12 months are going to be a lot, lot lower. And the multiple that you're really looking at is probably two, three, four, 5 times of what it is. It's late again. I can't repeat this enough. It's late in the cycle. These early sick goals are hard to defend, earnings are going to be re rated down. This is a place that we would stay away from. This is a place we want to rotate out of. Of course, I had to do a double take when I read the notes and I saw that your S&P 500 target is 47 15. Which is quite a ways away from here. Is that accurate for one? And do we need to? We need to see big cap tech on pull its weight here. So what sort of earnings set up are we looking at, whether it be this quarter or the guidance going forward? So a couple of things. Just on the number and then I'll get into the question. As far as the number last year, we were blowing the street. We're expecting a melt up. This year we came in with third or fourth lowest on the street. We're expecting a 10% pull back. Bear market in a lot of the high flyers. That occurred. We just weren't bearish enough. Is that number too high? Maybe possibly, but what we're saying to clients is we think equities. We didn't think you can make money from a long side at the beginning of the year. We do think you can make money to the long side now. And to your point, it's going to be in the growth names. What we're seeing is indiscriminate selling in a lot of the growth names. A lot of these secular growers are now trading at reasonable prices anywhere from 14 times to 28 times for secular growers. This is where we want to start to put our money. And this is an environment where growth is going to slow down the economy will probably go into recession and growth is going to work. So this at the margin is where you want to put your dollar. When you think about technology, though, the biggest within these big cap tech group is Apple, and that is more of a discretionary stock. So when you talk about a slowdown in the economy and a slowdown in the consumer, doesn't that doesn't that stock get caught up in that? Well, how much of your Apple products really discretionary? You probably have a ton of them. And yes, what we're worried about as far as the consumer is we think consumer recession is coming. What we've been saying is a consumer's balance sheet is really strong, but close to a quarter of it is tied up in the equity markets. When equities are down 20%, you know, that really weighs on sentiment that really weighs on consumer discretionary spending and ultimately the economy. The kind of the catch phrase here is the U.S. economy, the equity bait on the U.S. economy has never been higher, but getting back to Apple. A lot of the Apple products, yes, there's somewhat discretionary, but not as much as you think. And at the end of the day, what we want are companies with stable earnings, we want to gravitate to certainty, we think that we think that's what the market will pay for. And some of those companies are in tech, some of them are FinTech. Somewhere on the consumer side, but what we're seeing again is indiscriminate selling on the gross side. Many of the growth management I talked to are having a very difficult time and what we want to do is we want to capitalize upon that. All right, Chris, good to see you. Thank you. Chris Harvey. Thank you. A Wells Fargo. All right, so on the one side, you have names like an apple, which could be caught up in a slowdown in consumer spending. You've got a Google and you've got a meta, whose main source of revenue adds, their track with GDP, so you see the slowdown in GDP so you slow down in that revenue. But on the other hand, you have very good balance sheets for all of these names. I don't think balance sheets are concerned at all. I think many of these companies have been able to fortify themselves over the last few years and they've done the right thing. It's not about that. It's about what is the demand cycle look like, right? And in terms of valuations, what are these companies look like? In terms of Apple real quick, I mean, Katie Huberty at Morgan Stanley, I'm not saying she's saying Apple by any stretch, but for the first time in a long time, she's been cautious on the name and a lot of people out there that think apple's the last shoe to drop. July 26th, I think they report earnings. I thought the market would rally in the Apple earnings and that would be the next catalyst to take a slower. I'm going to stand by that and think that's going to happen. Yes, Steve?

"To Delta and Taiwan semi, and things get even more heated next week when we hear from the likes of Netflix, Tesla, J&J and more. So with continued high inflation, it consistently strengthening dollar and fears of a looming recession. What should investors be listening to when all these companies report? Big question, guy. I think it's a guidance. It's not necessarily what this quarter was. It's what they see going forward. And specifically, Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan will speak. It will be interesting to see if he doubles down on the comment about hurricanes that he made a month or so ago, or if he backs off a little bit. So for me, it's not necessarily the quarter they're reporting. It's what they're seeing going forward in terms of guidance. Yeah, Karen, do you agree exactly with that? It's sort of like if you had a great quarter, it doesn't matter. The street's going to look through. If you had a crappy quarter, you're going to get penalized for that, you're probably going to get penalized for your guidance, which will probably be soft as well. So, you know, it's a tough take for that. And I think that we'll see that phenomenon of so let's say a target doesn't do a Walmart comes up first. They don't do well. Target will trade down on that target comes out and doesn't do well. It will trade down on that. Again, penalized multiple times for the same thing. Yeah. Tim, and specifically within the guidance, what line items will you be listening for? Yeah, I think it's demand side. It's top line. And remember, in the numbers, we've just gone through the last earnings season. Part of the dynamic, especially for target Walmart, it was really a margin dynamic. It was where they had to guide down. It was inventory related. But I think this is all about demand. The guide I want to hear about is where is the consumer? Where is the demand side? Where are we? Because that's where companies really need to be pricing. We know about dollar headwinds. We know about margin pressures. We know about inflation. We don't know about demand. That's absolutely what we honestly, on some level, it's a lot simpler. I thought last quarter was a lot more nuanced, especially as we dealt with supply chain meets inflation and inventory, et cetera. Yeah, and last quarter, there was more of a hope that the supply chain issues was straightened themselves out. And here we are this week hearing about more lockdowns in China and whether or not that will actually be extended, Steve. That's not good. For those sorts of outlooks, companies will not be rewarded for saying, yeah, you know what, things are getting better. And then slam a lockdown happens. And the supply chain is tangled again. Yeah, I think you're really have to understand where your companies, where your stocks that you own are generating their revenue from. So margins are going to be in question. Supply chains are going to be in question. The dollar is going to be the most in question. And I think it's too early for the dollar to spill through to earnings. So you're going to have to pay attention to the guidance to what they're saying about margins. And those companies that have held their margins are going to be the most profitable and the ones that you want to be buying because we've gotten through hopefully the thick of a lot of these things, the dollar is the headwind currently rates of the headwind currently, but that's subsided. So just pay attention to margins and where they're at for the companies that you own. Yeah, the setup is important, of course, in the course of this quarter, we're down what like 400 or so S&P points. I mean, the question is, what is the setup going in? Have we priced in a lot of these things? And of course, within certain sectors, there have been steeper pullbacks and others. And so maybe have priced in a lot more. So I think that's fair. And I think that's exactly the right question to ask. And if you go back a couple quarters, I would have said that set up for a Facebook, for example, now meta was extraordinary to be long the stock, and then you saw what happened. So you can get tremendous head fakes in this environment, thinking a stock is sold off 30, 40%, that it sets up well, only to see it go down another ten to 15%. So I think that argument, at least for me, this quarter is somewhat out the window. And again, other things to look at and carrying can speak to this. Loan loss provision. So we're going to start to hear about that going forward in terms of the health of the consumer and those types of things. So that's just one more thing I'd be looking at. I mean, not too long ago. We were talking about reserve releases, helping the banks. And now it's the opposite that's going on. But how do we put that in? I think we priced a lot in. I think there's probably still some reserve releases to be had. And when you do that with when you combine that with some loan loss provisions, you get a smaller number. But I think that it's just going to be about the commentary about the economy and I think we're going to see net interest income improve, right? As rates have been higher, they've telling you they're going to have better net interest income, loan growth is going to be good. That's better, better margin stuff. But the question for the big money center banks, I do think trading revenue will be down and I think clearly investment banking revenue will be down. And those things I hope are priced in because it's not a shock, right? So hopefully they're priced in. I like it when banks go into earnings, having traded poorly, which to bang up set up now. They really have traded poorly. All right. Tim? I want to be careful with companies that were defensive over the last couple of quarters. I don't like valuations in a lot of those companies. I also think some of the dynamics that made pharma defensive. We've talked about tonight. I do think that there are big hits to some parts of their regional sales dynamic, whether it's also a dollar pressure. I think you have to be very careful about what has worked over the last couple of quarters. In terms of what hasn't obviously growth names and we've talked about this. A guy references a Facebook, Facebook not really a growth stock, but certainly categories under a tech landscape where arguably you should have more growth. And I think some of these big cap tech companies are places where you're going to have some defensiveness. I don't think we've I don't think we've heard the type of demand warnings out of Apple. And Microsoft that I want to hear before it's all clear, but I think some of the high multiple tech names have endured a lot. It's not necessarily scoop them up with both hands. The bigger dynamic is consumer Staples stocks are not cheap. Pharma companies in some cases are not cheap and I think that is something you have to be careful of. Steve, why would you be short XLE going into earnings? I mean, this should be the sector that has the best earnings theoretically. Yeah, it should, but I think people are looking through that at what can be better than this. Our earnings, you always want to see what's leading and what's lagging, earnings are lagging indicator. So it's always a backward looking data point. And no one's going to argue on this desk that things weren't a perfect setup for energy companies across the board. Where do things go that are better for them going forward. We've already seen commodities crack. So that's going to hit their bottom line. So that's why I'd be looking through where you see them now. And looking for where the puck is going to be. But one last thing. Diamond Zuckerberg Musk and now McDermott, how many other CEOs are going to come out and say, macro headwinds are slamming our stocks and the economy. You don't want to be investing in that market. All right, our next guest is urging investors to watch out for value traps this earnings season. Chris Harvey is the head of equity strategy at Wells Fargo securities. Chris, nice to see you. Where are these traps in your view? So these traps are everywhere.

"Nearly 7 and a half percent today after the company reported 51 airplane deliveries in June, the biggest number it has seen since March 2019, the stock that was down almost 27% this year and the company still faces an order backlog of more than 4000 aircraft as of June's end. Tim, what do you make of this run? What are you doing with it? Well, it's a relative victory. Again, you're going back to March 2019. So this is a pre COVID reference. This is also up about 38% year over year. The beleaguered airline maker with nothing really exciting coming down the pike in terms of innovation. It's really about rectifying max max certification and the issues. I think the issues around certification and they're being more cautious on the headline is more representative Boeing having a very different tone to their public communications since the max and since Dave Calhoun took over. This is what they do. They're at least trying to sound as if they are not calling the shots anymore, which is how they've always sounded throughout history. So look at the stock, it's up 35% off of those lows. It's back above the 50, the charts encouraging, still a lot to prove, but this was very important for the airline sector, obviously, delta reports tomorrow. They've kind of given you a guide on where these numbers are going to be. I don't think major surprises. And I think airlines have been overdone to the downside. Yeah, 50 airplane orders one for the month of June. 49 were max die. That's a positive. There's a positive. And if you look at just if you want to get technical with the charts, you look at the low we made in March of 2020 and you look at the recent low of the Boeing just made Tim spoke to it in terms of the route we've seen off that law. You have a nice little double bottom here to trade against. I think at least for the first time in a very long time, Boeing looks like you play from long side. If you want to go downstream, spirit air systems, SPR. I think that actually sets up really well into their earnings. I think late next week. I was sort of surprised when we threw up the forward PE on the chart there. 50. 50 Karen, think of all the stocks that trade well below 50 on a forward basis. Yes, but you got to think their earnings are going to ramp up dramatically. Oh, so that would make one would hope that. One would hope, right? Or they got a cure cancer and do the suit the max 37 max. Steve, where do you stand on Boeing or the airlines? I'm bullish on both Boeing and the airlines. You heard the commentary from American today. I think that if anyone has traveled, you see the airports are packed. I think it's a testament to how successful Boeing has been because I thought they were just going to have to change the name of this plane. I still look when I'm on one. I still get a little nervous when I'm on one to be honest, I do. And I get nervous when I'm on one. Have you booked based on it being a max? No, okay. In a way, I have done that in the beginning of this where they first started getting back in the air where I have switched flights. I would be arrested if I tried to get off one once I was on one though. So I haven't done that, but I have booked around it. I'm bullish on both. I think people have stopped money to spend until they don't, and they'll spend it on travel. Can you imagine sitting next to Steve? He thinks he's on whatever plane. "Let's bring in Jens nordvig. Founder and CEO of data. And Jens, do you think parity isn't the last stop here? It's going to go through. What we have an extremely unusual situation on our hands and you're right. We have a war right next to the EU. We have Russia that is essentially trying to create as much pain as it can for the European economy to deliberately. It's not a normal situation, right? And the Euro is trading accordingly and not normal. It's 20 years ago since we were here last time. Last time it was because some very special capital flows. This time around, there's a very fundamental reasons why we're here. So there's not really any good reason to fade it. Unless we see something new on the energy front. Yeah, and this is Tim, how about the dollar yen component of the dollar's move? Because BOJ has been missing in action, claiming they see zero inflation there. And while the dollar basket is certainly 60% Euro, the move in dollar yen has been extreme. I'm just curious if you think that's going to give ground. Yeah, so if you look at this year, initially the dollar was strong because the fed was hawkish and a lot of currencies that were very sensitive to fed policy moved a lot such as dollar yen. In the last couple of weeks, we've started to see something different. But again, it's time to stabilize a little bit and what you're seeing is that it's the growth sensitive currencies, especially some EM currencies that are taking a major major hit. So we're in a transition phase, the dollar has been strong through both phases, but as strong against different currencies and we're having something that smells a bit like an EM currency crisis now. Really for the first time in a long time. That was going to be my question, Jens, emerging markets obviously, you're going to get eviscerated on the back of something like this EEM is going to think from 60 down to current levels over the course of about a year and a half. I mean, how does that play out? Because quite frankly, it can't be bullish here back in the United States at a certain point. Yeah, so I think what worries me about this cycle is that normally when we have significant pressure on asset prices, we have somebody is going to come in and help, right? We will use the global central banks coming and helping. Or China coming and helping. China's trying, but not very successfully to get something going in China. And then you look at all the global central banks. They are still in typing mode. We're not going to have a big, big pivot from central banks like Sue, right? Maybe we'll have something later this year, but for now the central banks are kind of forced to stick to a hawkish tone because the inflation is so high. So that's what's worrying that this could be a pretty drawn out situation with not really any clear cameras for relief. I would say in the next couple of months are we going to start talking Jan's about, I don't know what the way today you refer to pigs. Once upon a time we talked about the pig countries and their debt loads. And I'm wondering if that becomes an issue once again here. Yeah, so we've already seen that sovereign bond spreads in Europe. A widen out pretty meaningfully this year and the ECB is preparing a certain tool to fight that already, right? So this is already a concern. And as long as the ECB isn't tightening mode, which will be the case as long as the inflation doesn't look like it's coming down raw materially, that's going to be an issue. And that's also something that was different. Like 20 years ago, when the Euro was down at these levels, we didn't have sovereign bond spreads blowing out. It was actually a pretty decline all along. So from that perspective, this move here is quite a bit more concerning than the one we had 20 years ago. Wow. Yeah, it's good to see you. Thank you so much. Thank you. And it's an exante. Tim, I'll go to you since you're the ambassador. When it comes to the EM when it comes to parts of Europe, where are you most concerned about right now? Well, I'm very concerned about Europe and only two other times in the history is inflation adjusted has dollar ever been this strong against all that's core trading partners, 2002. So where Jens is referring to and back to 1985, but those are moments when something was breaking. And so we're at a place here where the dollar is going to force pain. And although a lot of EM currencies had made adjustments and they are floating freely. And have not been afraid to revalue multiple times in the last 5 years. I mean, look at the Mexican peso. Look at levels on the Brazilian real. Forget the Russian rule, look at the Turkish lira. I mean, these are conditions where we've seen this over the last four or 5 years, but there's no question to me, Europe's pain is something we're just getting going. And we talk so much about the currency translation into this earnings season, but we forget about the EU as the second largest economic zone in the world. And the impact on multinationals and what it means. And again, I think we are going to hear this from pharma companies. I think we are going to hear this from companies who rely on Europe, not just because of the currency dynamics. So these are extreme levels on the dollar. Two other times in history, inflation adjusted, you should be concerned. And yes, as an EM guy, I don't think this is a moment that you're ready to start buying. Steve? When you look at two stocks that stick out for me. So you're going to see money flows into U.S. dollar. That means it's going to get worse. And if you look at Capri, Capri cost basis is in Euros, but they sell in USD. That intrinsic, two names I own. I guess you should look over your portfolio and see what stocks you own have cost basis in Euros and sell in U.S. dollar and that's a right way trade that you want to be in. Makes sense to me, melms. I mean, I think Steve looks great and all the Capri holdings attire number one. You're going to say capris. Those as well. But I think it's a it's just much bigger than individual stocks. I mean, Steve is right in terms of those names, but this is a big deal. Now, I think what might happen is these numbers come out, not as hot as people think. You get a relief rally, maybe on the back of bank earnings, if the market does rally, I think the dollar will sell off. And that will sway some of these concerns. I think that will be short lived. I think the dollar will be continued to go higher from here in the weeks to come. So what I think about is companies when they report and they have this FX hit, right? We saw Microsoft is sort of one of the flagship ones to do it. Sometimes the market doesn't seem to care. They just sort of back it out. Now they do. Now they do. They really do. And so I think Steve's point about looking, what do you own? Where do they source? And where do they sell? So I think it's something like target, they source somewhat overseas, and they sell here. So that's better. Walmart also sources a lot overseas, but they have more of a mixed where they sell. So repatriating those lesser dollars when they, when they sell overseas. So I don't know. I feel like in a good tape, market doesn't care, but now they will. Coming up.

We also worked about the economy, the inversion of twos tens, but even up from one year up to 36. If we're going to strain and Tim's Mike, we've got some hits to his audio. In the meantime, let's get to the breaking news here on Twitter, Julia Morrison's got the details. Julia. Melissa, Twitter is suing Elon Musk and Delaware court for violating the $44 billion merger agreement that he made with the company, Twitter, is seeking a court order to force Musk to close the acquisition at the $54 and 20 cents a share that they agreed upon just looking through the filing here. It says, quote, Musk apparently believes that he unlike every other party's subject to Delaware contract law is free to change his mind, trash the company, disrupt its operations destroy stockholder value and walk away going on to say this repudiation follows a long list of material contractual breaches by Musk that have cast a pall over Twitter and its business. Twitter brings this action to enjoy Musk from further breaches to compel Musk to fulfill his legal obligations and to compel consummation of the merger upon satisfaction of the few outstanding conditions. So I think what's really interesting here Melissa is not only are they saying they're trying to close the deal at the 54 20 price, but they are laying the groundwork to look for damages, payments of damages as well as that $1 billion breaking fee. If it does not go towards a full closure of the deal. So as expected, the suit has been filed and here we go in the next phase of this Twitter Musk drama. As the drama turns, Julia, thank you, Julia borsten, it's like a soap opera here at this point, but Karen, you've been trading the soap opera. And the sock is taking higher in the aftermarket. And this after a 4% gain in the regular session. So pretty much the way you gamed it out to be. What's your next move here? Right. So my next move is I think this will read very, very well, as I said last night, this is the a team, not there are plenty of a teams, but this is the a team. It's going to be very compelling. I do think they have the better side of the argument. So I think it's going to read very, very well. The stock will trade up, then so I have these very short dated options. I probably look to sell those. I think that the next event is either the response by Musk's team, which I think will be good. I think this will be better what we're going to see tonight or tomorrow. And I think then after also we have earnings, which we talked about last night, I don't think those will be good or memorable and Twitter should do everything they can to just pretend they didn't really happen, which they'll try to downplay it. I'm sure. But I think the compelling argument is that Musk will need to close. It's stellar who knows anything can happen, but I think that's the most likely outcome at the moment. I'm staying long biscuit change tomorrow for trades really well. Yeah, up 1% in the after hour session guy. She's done it masterfully, Karen, in terms of trade Ness. This is from the day that this announcement was made. However many months ago, both Karen and Dan said, you know, you got to fade this thing. It's not going to happen. That's proven to be correct. So these calls will pay off. The only concern obviously is duration. But you know what? I don't think it matters because I think if there's shorts out there in the stock, they're almost forced to cover by definition as we start to get this new. So good for Karen. I think she should absolutely say with this trade. Tim, I think we've got your mic issues worked out in time to get your thoughts on Twitter here. Well, I think the positive news is that there's no more negative news coming. In the short term, I think we've worked through all of the fallout from the price. Remember, it traded up near that 54 level. And it stayed there for four to 5 weeks. So the fact that you had priced in a whole lot of deal on wind, we priced in the dynamics around what has been really a lack of another bid in the market with the failure of management to monetize their business and to really make their more excitement around it. You know, I just think this is a stock that really has a lot to prove in the short term, but that unless you believe it has to be tied to the NASDAQ in terms of underperformance overall for tech and therefore it's got to move lower. I think you've left a lot of bad news and got it out in the open. So now the stock is at 1.3%. Steve Grasso, you would have thought what was good for Twitter might be a negative or pressur on Tesla shares, but we didn't see that in today's session or in the aftermarket session. Yeah, I think ultimately it will be, but I don't think he's going to be forced to honor the deal. I think he'll just be forced to pay the $1 billion. The breakup fee, he's not going to be forced to pay the original price. Or somewhere in the middle. But I think to pick up where Tim left off, the only thing this puts in focus to me is the inadequacies of the Twitter stock. So ultimately, you're left with the stock that was not able to monetize when they should have been able to. And you're back with the bots being the centralized point of conversation, which is a negative for Twitter, no matter how you slice it. So you could see a relief rally. I like that Karen is probably going to tie up loose ends on a bounce, but I wouldn't be there for long term. Guaranteed interesting, I think one of the most valuable assets to Twitter has is his lawsuit. Yeah. Truly. Because where would it be without it? Elon Musk would probably walk, right? And then it would trade to where should be. I don't know, 25 or whatever, so that's 20 bucks. It's interesting. To me, it's not about Twitter, the company, it's only about Delaware. That's it. It's the whole story here. Wow. All right. Well, we got a milestone in the currency markets today that we want to talk about. The urinating parity with the U.S. dollar for the first time in 20 years.

"The second hour of balance of power I'm David Weston President Biden spent yesterday meeting separately with progressive and moderate Democrats with reports that he may be starting to get some movement toward an agreement including an overall price tag an agreement that if it happened would permit the bipartisan infrastructure package to go forward and at least provide a framework as they call it for a trimmed down build back better budget Today the president travels to Scranton Pennsylvania his hometown to make the case once again for both parts of his economic agenda Welcome now congressman from the Commonwealth of Virginia Pennsylvania his Democrat Brendan Boyle so congressman thank you so much for being back with us here We've talked about this before Give us a sense of do you think it's in a different place today than it was a month ago Well great to be back with you and I do think that we're making real progress especially over the last 24 hours We're working very hard to meet this deadline coming up at the end of the month which is when the transportation funding runs out So with that in mind the ideal would be to get to a point where we could vote both bills were at the very least announced that we have a grand agreement with all of the relevant parties and that would clear the way for us to at least be able to first vote on the bipartisan infrastructure Bill with shortly thereafter voting on the agreed to build back better act As you know better than I congressman it's really dangerous for us to speculate what's going to be in the final bill because we don't know There's still negotiations going on but there are reports coming out of Washington Some things are going to have to get left behind such as paying for community college Give us a sense from your constituents point of view Are there parts of this that they are really invested in That is to say if they got dropped out you think there could be real a price to pay Well I'm reminded of one of Mark Mark Twain and many famous quotes but one of them was predictions are hard to make especially about the future So let's keep that in mind with everything in this conversation And I see a lot of reports about what allegedly is now in what a legislative now out Boy I would take all of those with more than a grain of salt In terms of your question though about what I'm hearing from constituents back home in terms of what's most important to them there's no question I think the paid family and paid sick leave provisions and the House ways and means committee we voted on it a few weeks ago more than a month ago 12 weeks fully paid for It would see the United States joined the rest of the industrialized world It would very much help our economy besides being a very pro family provision that is something that I hear most people just very excited about That combined with the universal pre-K provisions A lot of family spend an awful lot of money when it comes to trying to get their child into a pre gay program if it's not offered and their locality or their state So those are two things I also think the climate provisions most people understand that climate change is real and that delaying acting on this is just not an option There's a lot of activity back home and a lot of folks really clamoring for this to be the moment that we make a dramatic investment in renewables We know that that's our future So those are I picked out those they're all important but really those are some of the ones that most jump out to me Let me pick up on the third of those And that's the climate issue because there are reports that the president is being very explicit that he needs something something as he goes over Glasgow for the top 26 Discussions over there He needs to be able to say yes we are moving forward on climate Does that add some urgency And yes even a potential deadline here because I think that's 11 days away I think so And I think that's very legitimate And by the way so there are two parts of this The first is the actual substance of the issue The president needs to be able to go to Glasgow and say this is the way in which the United States is leading It would then help us leverage what we trust did and what we're committing to do to get other countries to sign up to doing something at least similar if not even more so That's number one But that number two and just in terms of the ability of the United States to lead on any issue it's very important that we send our head of state we send our commander in chief to that incredibly important summit with a big wind with a big wind a win legislatively but also a big win at his back to show that he is able to lead under the United States is working is a functioning democracy So that will have ramifications for anything else that the president is attempting to do on the world stage A congressman I say this with all respect to Scranton But why Scranton I know it's President Biden's hometown But how is that going to help him move that football over that goal line in getting his build back better done Yeah Well there are a couple reasons for that I mean first obviously it is where he was born and raised or at least raised until I think about the age of 11 years old So obviously has a real emotional attachment and still have family and friends there And then the second reason is it is a very swing area of the biggest swing state in the country When you look at specifically lack of on account and the areas nearby his marginal improvement in that area over where Democrats were in 2016 is a big reason why he was able to turn a one point loss for Democrats in 2016 in Pennsylvania into a one point win in 2020 I know from back when I was in the state legislature just how important that area of northeastern Pennsylvania is So for both of those reasons I think it makes sense So are we going to get it done go on the line here Make a prediction about the future unlike Mark Twain I will make a firm prediction I believe we get this done I believe we deliver for the American people and by getting this done I mean both bills and frankly we have to and everyone recognizes that whether you're the most moderate Democrat or the most progressive Democrat or somewhere in between everyone recognizes that we need to get this done for the American people And we also need to get this done because it's in.

"Did you get this. Because i have the original one thousand nine hundred ninety seven version of the dvd which is now wrong. No longer friend. The artwork was new and it was purchased by disney. And so it's been dignified my back so not this copy. So it's the original nineteen ninety seven. Dvd release of the of the movie and she signed the copy and was just like everybody's grandmother. She was absolutely delightful of so a couple of times one. I felt. I want to interrupt you but i felt the need during the middle that Store to go. You have great. She bangs well. No i'm shocked with the dalai party stores story but then the other one is a when we do this again. I think we will The athletes story. I did say someone naked. I have another one where a celebrity gave me a hug and drop the f bomb on and like i had one of the really good one but those those with the might really good and not. This isn't even a story. But one time i ate carney. Wilson's french fries years. You did. I remember that camp and other life that came from the other topic that i was assigned. Those were ours. A couple of our celebrity counters was guilty music pleasures. One that that Somebody suggest we tackle now. I'll be honest with you. I don't have a ton that i consider really guilty. Because if i like something i just like it. I don't care if anybody else likes it or not or school or whatever but there there are some stuff. I would probably turn up a little more in the car loan. Well driving driving where people could hear me high. There's there's some things you you everybody knowing that you're damn to and then things like hey we're going to turn that down to ten instead of twelve. Look everybody every everybody doesn't need to hear about now. It also should be stated that early on in the history of rock and roll heaven. We had a guest name adam. Todd brown who came on and we actually discuss this. I'll throw we have our. We have our top ten. Hopefully the ones. I chose were different than the ones that you can find that episode. Okay so i was just wondering Do you dave review house one or two guilty music pleasures. I will have to say ninety percent of the catalog of mika. He is a british guy who there's a song called. Grace kelly in which he literally sounds like woke up freddie to make a noise and so i love a song called big girl. You are beautiful. Also love lollipop. He does sound call golden n. It's just this cheesy euro pop. And i am in love with it might other guilty. Pleasure is actually a single album. Which is who ray for bubis conducted by the hound. Get a masterpiece of rafer bubis because also if you don't know because we live in the digital age when you actually bought the dvd witness all right when you bought the cd it was flesh colored and when you flipped over and stuck your tongue through the it looked like a boop so that is navy to my favorite thing moral great album. Come on yeah so team where yours. Well you know this again. I don't. I'm not really. I don't consider him guilty or whatever. But they're certainly out of step with most of what i listened to because if people have listened to me talk for the last year or so. Now that i've been on the show. They know that. I like rock and roll. I like heavy. Metal ally country like oh country before started to saw i like country ally bluegrass alike old so music and stuff so not guilty pleasures would be stuff that falls more into the sauce. Pop realm you like an michael. Mcdonald's well donald michael mcdonald's that the golden throated silver fox. You speak ill of shoes. We're seeing that grocery store new. Remember the grocery story in l. d. We were singing that in like an ingles. Lb wanted nothing to do with. Yes yes. I never understood why it doesn't make any sense. I don't take to grow men. Scream singing michael mcdonald zones embarrassing no no not at all actually I think another one of my guilty pleasures is actually supertramp point. Good i like supercar. I love supertramp. Don't don't care how i take the long way home. The logical wrong. That's great yeah get so stranger but so a lot of my quote guilty pleasures would probably be softer pop things. Because that's just not what i listened to and specifically a lot of them fall From about ninety ninety. Ninety one. I guess until about ninety three ninety four when i was a dj. When i was in high school because that is a simpler com that was. I didn't have a mortgage. I didn't have to pay bills. Always minimum wage was four twenty five. I always had money. You know you had. I had a job. That was fun and own. Girlfriend that life was just grant and so a lot of it's the nostalgia of you know the of harkening back to that simpler times. And i've i've i've gone around. Ask get to my elbow. So that i don't have to tell you that i like everything from amy grant. Hard motion is okay. Wow now by the baby. That's what love okay see. I don't think it's cliche for me to say that. I like her because You know the song takes a little time that song that was nineteen ninety seven. Okay baby baby yeah baby. He in debt skill. Now thank you. let's go now. Previously gary chapman. But she on this. Was i think her first pop album. I think she had done that. Song with peter sotero. Maybe i she had been a contemporary christian artist and there was like a lot of shock and outrage that she did like some secular music even though it was baby bakes guys are wondering why we laughed. So part of peterson. Sarah there is a return. There's a there's a comedy group that will do mashups of popular music and classic plays so it's we saw abba non becomes the music of ab- with agamemnon. "Then came in and they insisted on. This radio station was a really big building. There was a lot of space news. I had to find keys and unlike every hour. They went through de straw irs. They made me remove aboard from the console so they could look at the wires like under the radio console and so then thorough that they're extremely thorough very good at their job. They're very thorough. They left stone unturned. Which which you have to Understand but this is where it's This is where it got dicey and kinda funny. In retrospect they're like. Where will the senator speaking. I said well He'll be in the in our second studio here and they win of their check all that out in the course of doing that. They looked at refrigerator. And then there was like an old timey coke and pepsi machine. But it's one of those managers that come up to you just about two and a half three feet tall and they said we're going to need you to open this and this is an and this is where i made a real estate. They just they. They insisted i opened this. Like two and a half foot tall. Like old timey coke or pepsi machine. And i said you gotta midget sniper hadn't in my her If they're not. Take kindly to that yeah. Don't make jokes to a secret service. Little people so this was this was nineteen ninety nine so i don't i don't think it was then whatever but the the less not took away from that as they don't take jokes don't make them especially involving the word sniper school because they they did not react well that and i almost literally had to prague. Open to quote groundhog day. Is that not good right. But i have done that so funny enough now. I'm friends with someone from the secret. Service will and so really the the the story really about the celebrity met. It's much more about the build up to it. Because then the straighttalk ex plus brass express bus which was about half the size of our entire parking lot. It was mammals. I don't know how they turn the thing around to leave. But it pulls a then the door opens and somebody from the new york times get sauce and somebody from cnn gets off an msnbc and fox news and a bunch of local newspapers like a gaggle of media and then out scrolls john mccain and he walks up much shorter than i realized For starters now. I'm now. I'm i'm fairly tall. I'm close to six two. But he was much shorter than i was imagining of. Just starters i mean. I've saved five five six. Maybe but he walked up and he he was very nice and took my hand all my dumb questions because again i i literally been doing news for like four or five months and i'm in a presidential candidate and so so really the. The buildup is much more impressive than the axle meeting the celebrity story. But he he was very nice very polite and gave a great speech that evening. And all that sort of stuff. So so Well the thrill. I have feeling i know what yours is going to be so. Let me see if if i'm correct. Are you going to tell the story about how you embarrassed yourself. In front of james taylor. I feel like all the celebrity encounters i have. That's the one to go with. I am going to shoehorn in a second but hear me out fair enough so d. for my bird i love james taylor grew up listening to james taylor one year for my birthday l. d. gummy tickets to the hollywood bowl with james taylor and we're in the line which is just absolutely insane win l. d. mentioned something about it being my birthday and then suddenly a security guard walks over to us and says sir there's another entrance up here. Why don't you walk over here. And i'm like all right so i don't know if you've been to the hollywood ball. I don't know if you actually saw what happened. This is like because you were like no. It's fine thank you and then the security guard took me by the arm. And he's like you guys should go this way now and i'm like okay honey. Let's go so the hollywood bowl is obviously at the top of a very large hill. And you walk up basically the parking lot to get there. So we're walking up the parking lot and we're coming around to where the artist entrance for the bowl is now should be said that this is like we're all the buses park right like all the blue hair buses and all the people coming in from like your riverside and all the other parts of california and stuff like that like basically like you know for lack of confusing term. Is the tour buses. All the buses are back there greg. So we're walking up hill and we're making our way. I'm kinda checking the tickets for our seats. When suddenly we see a group of people by another security guard and there with a guy and the guy is kind of talking to them and he's slowly making his way across the street to where the the back of stages and at some point. I think it was you. I don't know who was who i said i said. Hey honey guy looks like james taylor and then my face drop in a mike. Oh my god that is jamestown jamestown. Mary was cabdriver. Hatton all and no no. It's not and then all of a sudden like two very large security guards. Flank him on both sides. Like what like power walk to him. And unlike nope yeah. That's that's james taylor. That's him so at this point. I've pretty much lost all of my faculties. I don't know what's going on so l. d. actually goes up to james taylor himself and says. Excuse me mr taylor. It's my husband's birthday. At which point. James turns to me and he says hey happy birthday. Thanks for being here. You know it's great to see you and in my head. All these things are running about how my mother sang me. James taylor. When i was a baby she would say james howard to go to sleep. How i listen to all of his albums how his music has been the backdrop for the majority of my life. But all i can muster is is my birthday. Which point james. Taylor looks very kindly happy birthday. Great to see you l. d. facilitates the picture which i don't remember happening. But we have a negative by the neck and threw them at james taylor and was like. Can we get a picture with you. And he was like oh yeah. He was super cool former gracious than i think. I spent the next hour. Just saying june filler pillars. James dealer. I j king. It was so cheap. I've never seen him get star struck by barely. You zoning how intelligent my husband truly is is. He is so smart but just to watch him. Go from like eloquent gentleman to rock. Level of ineligible was just credible. Because like you know he had all these wonderful things he's always wanted to say to. James taylor i stand.

Yeah and that's that's gonna that's gonna happen George harrison which i believe dot dot ought to give it a totally fine but then you know like songs that ripped off other songs gray thing but it's such a hard deep dive for us and then of course i you know we're gonna be doing bridget. Brought up doing producers. And i actually wanted to do a series on people in the music industry. That aren't singer. So like wolfman jack or other producers and mixers engineers of studio musicians people. You might even know their name. But like i wanna shed light on some of these people that really don't ever get talked about so like some of these things are like series within themselves so you guys went above and beyond with some of the stuff and we are definitely definitely gonna do some deep bags and of course the. Ps resistance was the fact that someone was like. You should do conspiracies. And i'm like hold my ginger ale. I will be doing this later but not to point to bring up one l. d. I'm pretty sure you've mentioned wolfman jack before. He was a potential subject. Now yes. I actually have a book on the shelf and that is a reminder guys that we will be doing another rock and roll heaven draft because this one will so so exciting. So here's the deal. We're going to have a list of forty contenders twenty dinner. Gonna come from me and fingers crossed twenty. That are coming from you guys. So after this episode goes up. We're gonna post on youtube or sorry. No we're going to post on facebook and then you guys under that one post. Please throw in your choices. I was gonna say. I think i think we can go ahead. And mark george harris down and probably riquet stick with those are ones people already pitch down in the course of giving us ideas for this episode and actually elvis and prince. Those two has to be done next year in all fairness elvis. He was bumped. Ray very current and hard hitting heavy hitter. That was very close to hugh. Tj joel we we we for those who didn't hear our draft last year. I actually picked illness. Yes i did the way that l. d. strikes were did it was you can make audible. I if someone noteworthy passes are around the time or after we did the draft but before we started we could change one of our topics and unfortunately eddie van halen passed away. I guess about a month after we recorded Drafts so i did sub him. Out for elvis yes. Elvis will definitely be done L. d. apparently found some out of print book on. So he's probably gonna be taken our badgen and to be fair. I think in the rules of the draft. It is decreed that you can call an audible. You believe it in one single audible auto audible. So i'm the only person to beckett advantage that so far but anyway yeah guys absolutely. Please pitch that out in any ideas you might have for a heavy hitter contenders for us to possibly drive for next year. Just send them to us. Can't we would love to same. And my second point died in here. Was that one of the listeners. Brought up bad finger which has actually been brought up before several times my christina actually several times christine yes she was. Choose the one. That kinda spearheaded albuque- gotten several messages abou- bad finger and then people have private messaged me on my own face look like cover bad finger. Ra ra. the time has come. there is so much tragedy there out. I wouldn't even know where to start suggests. Oh yeah all right. Well now with all that out of the way so you know we. We wanted to kind of touch on a couple of what you guys had cintas so the first thing that we wanted to talk about because it was this was in the twitter verse and a lot of my musical friends. Have a lot to say about this particular subject. Which is that. The nirvana baby is now suing wayne. So just to give you guys. In context the album nirvana's nevermind had a picture of a baby in opole and it was reported dollar bill and you can see his little. You know new new hoo-ha whatever you wanna call it. And now now he is engaged in a child pornography suit because apparently he was only four months when he was photographed by a family friend drifting naked in a pool in one thousand nine hundred ninety one and in the decades that followed his name is spencer elder for those who don't know he has celebrated his heart in that classic cover rivers celebrated his part he was recreated. It wasn't an album cover. Yeah okay so. He recreated that exact moment for the tenth anniversary the seventeenth anniversary the twentieth anniversary and the twenty fifth anniversary of the album's release. Though he wasn't naked does he does his. What did you call it new long. Yes something is. He has filed a federal lawsuit against the estate of kurt. Cobain dave grohl and chris nova style. Like and courtney love which. Okay cool So i guess. I guess he's the executor of kurtz mistake. Probably you actually mentions kurtz estate along. West courtney love as like a secondary party again. The for mentioned in it too. I bolt is named in that suit. I think taking by family. Frat so i'm not really but they're saying that never mind profited from his naked image because it's one of the best selling records of of all time with thirty million copies so were why greg's i nobody. Nobody bought it because of your new. Wally walk. Yep yep so if inhaling three if then helen three at your pecker on the front of it it would have been bad that not sold album could be saved if you guys want to truly understand the depths of my brothers disdain. for van halen three unions. Do our thirty eight hundred series had been halen. That album is utter garbage. So apparently and this is actually a genuinely sad part of it. Elden spencer elden is an artist. But he's gone to therapy for years to work on how that affected him so he says he hasn't met anyone who hasn't seen his genitalia and it's a constant reminder. Es no privacy will. You cover the Tigers for the Detroit Free Press back in the day, So I want to ask you about Miguel Cabrera hitting his 5/100 home run first. That happened on Sunday. What was your reaction when he finally did reach that milestone? I think everybody Jim that's watched him play had a smile at her reflection, and just the The duration of his greatness. How long he has been a preeminent hitter in this sport to see it culminate with that number only 28 players in the history of the game. Jim have done that. They've only been 28 days like Sunday in the entire history. Major League baseball. Let's think about that for a second more than a century of our national pastime, and that was one of 28 days like that, so Just extraordinary. And I think it was fitting that it was a home run to right center field, which is the patented swing that we have seen from Miguel for so long, and I'll share this story about Miguel as well that he He has always been so proud about being in the lineup every day. He played almost 2000 Games gym in the major leagues before he spent a day. On the injured list nearly 2000 games. His 13th year was the first time you went on the aisle that is remarkable in terms of the consistency and being there every single day, and I remember there was one year where it was August. Around this time, and he was he was battling an injury. It was a couple years before he went on the isle for the first time. I remember asking him in the clubhouse. See Miguel. How hard is it to Maybe you have to face going on the isle for the first time, and he laughed. He said. Hey, we've got September roster expansion. Don't have to go on the I l right now I'll be able to not have to do to do that. He really wanted him to have that pride of never going on the isle. And, of course, with the September roster expansion he didn't have to, and that just shows you how well he thinks the game he was aware of that He knew it was coming and was really proud about never going on the isle. So he's just someone that has really loved the game. He talks about the game and Jim, I'll say this to a photographic memory. He's sitting down 500 home runs. I can promise you he can give you a snapshot, 500 different snapshots, every home run. He's got that memory, an incredible memory, an incredible player and a great hitter Now and all time, great and amazing career. We're talking John Maroc. Jonathan. I mentioned that MLB network has got the Mariners in the AIDS Today, followed by the Yankees and the Braves. The Yankees John have now won 10 straight since they lost to the White Sox in Iowa. What do you make of how they turn this around? And the way they're playing right now? Well, that's a great point. Jim. Of course, they have not lost the game since that baseball disappeared over the into the cornfield off Tim Anderson's bat and the Yankees. I give a lot of credit right now to their bullpen. They were a team that had some bullpen issues. Obviously exact. Britain blew the save in that game in Dyersville, but since then they've had five different relievers. Record saves for them, and none of them have been named Chapman or Britain. They've had a really unique casts, come together and give them consistency. Meanwhile, for as much we've talked about the the trade deadline moves they've made, adding Rizzo and Gallo. It's been Stanton. It's been judged their their main state players who have had injuries happened. The last couple years have really been consistent of late, and they now have a really well balanced Thick middle part of the lineup that you're supposed to know. The Yankees for this is what they're supposed to add. We're supposed to have incredible power enters both sides of the plate who are just formidable to go through and they finally have this. So it's I think it's great for the Yankees, obviously great for baseball team back and the fourth point of the conversation, And in this moment, Jim, the Yankees have the best record in the game. Since the trade deadline 18 and four they have been almost unbeatable. They've been the best team in the game in the month of August, and it's going to be a lot of fun to watch this a least race down the stretch the raise the Yankees, the Red Sox and the Blue Jays that they can find a way to stay in this thing, because it's been tough for Toronto here the last couple weeks. John Maroc, my guest, John, I was going to go there next, as well as New York is playing right now. There's still four back in Tampa Bay. Do the Yankees have enough to run down the Rays? Or is that still Tampa Bay's division? I think the Yankees have enough to run them down. I really believe that. I think to me if I'm gonna look at it candidly. I know I mentioned the Red Sox as part of the three team race. I do think the champion is division is going to be either the Rays or the Yankees and the Yankees have plenty of time and plenty of firepower to chase them down. The raise. I think this is where I look at the way Tampa's built their club. What's What's different about Tampa this year to last year is their lineup is substantially better. Now. The pitching isn't quite as dominant. They've lost Snell. They've lost more than glass now is injured. A totally different rotation. But the the Tampa lineup is better. And so I think the Yankees certainly have enough to power to run them down, and they have a very good chance to do so. But it's going to be interesting to see if those two teams match up in a playoff series of Let's say the Yankees when the wild card and win that wild card game and match up against Tampa in the first round. How how that plays out That's going to be a really interesting series much differently when they matched up last year, so I think it's going to be a great race to the finish the Yankees to me, They have enough firepower to catch them, and I'm a little bit worried about the raise rotation. So I if I'm a Yankee fan right now, I'm feeling really good about where the Yankees chances are. To finally win this division and enforce the defending A L Champion raised into a wild card spot. I get it. John Maroc is joining us. All right, John. What about the San Diego Padres? Their game back of the Reds for the second wild card spot. I'm curious. What do you make of how San Diego season is gone? Well, Jim. It's a great point, obviously a timely one because they just dismissed their pitching coach yesterday, Larry Rothschild, replacing them with Ben Fritz and and they now have to really work on their pitching staff down the stretch. Jace Tingler said yesterday. The decision of fire Rothschild was totally his He had consulted with AJ brother a lot in the last 10 days or so before making that decision, but the Padres Jim, they just have not been consistent enough with their pitching. Blake Snell has been a disappointment and Darvish is dealt with injuries and you look at Clevenger's missed the entire season. Nelson Lament has not been able to deliver the innings they expected. So it's been an inconsistent pitching group for them this season. They needed to find a different voice for the final 30 plus games of the year. Is this a panic move? You could call it that because they have really underwhelmed relative expectations where the Giants have far surpassed those expectations..

"To the second hour of the show. And I'm pleased as punch to have Valdemar Archuletta from the Colorado Log Cabin Republican organization on again he is decked out for America Is that for Memorial Day weekend, the health of our Your Of course, you've got a surprise. Gotta celebrate everything. Memorial Day Pride Month. The whole thing got the rainbow Scot flag. He's You are certainly clashing right now there are there are gays gay men out there who are sure shivering. In front of stars and Stripes. Of course I'm kidding. Uh, let's write some probably well, we're entering June, which is a big celebration across the country. Where gays, lesbians, bisexual transgender people, plus celebrate And this is where we get stuck because Dave and I were having a conversation off the air. And I wanted you to kind of talk about the origin of the pride movement. And why do we celebrate? What are we celebrating What is being celebrated in June? Let's start with that first. Overall, the celebration really is about the movement and the protest that brought about gay rights in the United States. And it is something really to celebrate a zoo. I've mentioned last time I was on with you. I used to be on the Colorado Springs Pride board, and every year we would always have the discussion like how do you balance out? Celebrating the historical achievement and Um, the new, more cultural images that come with pride Because sometimes you we almost we feel like we're pride brings out all the stereo patch. Yes, and says, Do you do these pride parades? Actually. Make the gay community LGBT community look better or doesn't make us look worse. Does it validate people's stereotypes? Or is it actually promoting our assimilation into the population? And I honestly I I don't know if there's a really good Answer to that, because we and we talked about what it was A parade of people in suits and briefcases would want to go watch that. Yeah, Yeah, there's there's a point there that is, actually, but it would be kind of entertaining within a pride parade to have, like day accountants who were all wearing suits and ties with their briefcases. But it would be kind of funny because to your point and this is A conversation that I've had with people in my life personally, both straight and gay Hoo hoo. My more conservative gay friends and I have conservative gay friends. They cringe at some of the wild over the top sexual ization. That happens during pride, especially in your larger cities where you have people that are barely dressed if dressed it all. And but at the same time they want the message to get out. Like you just said you would look around you. They're gay people in your life. You just don't know They're gay. It's they're you know, they're just like us kind of thing. So how do you strike that balance? How did that How do you out of that conversation? It is. It is really difficult. And here. Here's one thing I will say about them Pride fists. Bring a lot of money to the pride organizations and Money is important money talks, and so if you're going to do something, you want to get a lot of people there. What's going to bring the people to the party? It's gonna be a lot of this craziness, and so unfortunately, the commercial aspect of pride has promoted That more. I don't know that allowed out as a Dave called them to show off game are out there. But and that's what brings the money to the organizations. Like I said, if it was a bunch of people in suits doctors, it wouldn't be that interesting. And people wouldn't show up, right, isn't it? It's not just getting the people out there. You want to attract the media. Because that's going to get everybody awareness raised exactly there. And there is more to private, just parades and that and unfortunately again, that is kind of what we see when we look at pride. There's a lot of people in the gay community and out the Hoyle's U B T community that aren't really a big fan of what pride it puts forth to the public every year. But there's also a reason why we also want to include that because when we talk about the history of pride why it's in June. What originally sparked this whole movement? A lot of the fighting was done by Drake, Queens by guys in leather by Lesbians are showcase. I mean, it was done by the show off game don't want for Yeah, the movement and that would not have happened, so we do kind of have a recognition off. What? Where this came from. But today we're fortunate that we live in a society where you don't have to be. You could be just like everybody else and be gay. And there was a time back in the day with that wasn't possible because General Society would not have accepted you. So in order for you to live your gay lifestyle, you had to do it kind of underground in these seedy clubs. And that's where these cultures started to grow. I didn't even think about it from that perspective. If you're if you're not allowed to be mainstream, then yeah, you would find you know you would. You would find like minded people in places that probably attracted the more outrageous Types of agent looking at the history of how it really started was if you go back to when Prohibition was done away with the 1933 in alcohol was once again allowed to the public. Ah, lot of government surprise surprise. We're kind of they have used their power, but and they still do it through the day they threat. The threat of taking someone's liquor license away is a big threat Establishment and so back. In like the fifties sixties, that type period, gay bar owner was very likely to lose his liquor license. And so because they had laws like you were looking at New York City, same sex, kissing and dancing was considered disorderly conduct with someone could be arrested for there were laws called masquerade laws that go back to 18 45. When it was illegal for someone to dress up like a native American to scare away tax collectors. Those logs was still on the books. They were using those laws in the 20th century against drag queens and trans women. And so the state was using these laws to discriminate against the LGBT community and kind of drove them into the arms of organized crime. Mafia families started opening gay bars and bringing these establishments in and surprise again. They were not doing out of the kindness of their hearts to help the gay community. They were taking advantage of them. These establishments were horrible. They were All like bottle clubs, air bottle bars. They did not have a liquor license. You paid at the door to get in. They gave you water down alcohol that was either bootlegged or stolen the hiding there was bad The water was bad. They mafia owned the cigarettes. They're the two boxes there. And if they saw someone came in who was come in, who was maybe a schoolteacher, a federal employee or a wealthy person they would blackmail them about outing them to the community and for the Mafia was really taking advantage. Of the LGBT community, and this is like the late sixties, and this was happening all over the place. But right now we are here. We're looking at Greenwich Village, New York, the Jenna. These crime family happened to own the stove, Stonewall Inn, as well as a lot of other gay establishments in grants Village and they kind of bought off the police there in the sixth Precinct of New York. For them, so they would just kind of look the other way as to what was happening in these establishments, and, um There were even like corrupt policemen. Who? What kind of let the mafia know it. All right. We're going to do a raid..

"Kicking on the second hour here on this New year's Day edition of the program in the studio with you to night you've got in Nobody and Chris so you could bring us whatever you want. I was just talking in the chat room on our Matrix server over a chat dot lrn dot FM, where there are a number of critics. Bunch of libertarian critics who really just don't like the idea of moving for more freedom. They think that New Hampshire has been a failure. The New Hampshire freedom Migration has been a failure because there are restrictions on cope it here. Well, screw him. Let's throw him out and get some new fans. I mean, It's all you care about. Is Cove in? Yeah, it's a failure. But if that's not all you care about you care about freedom. It's not a failure. We've got 30 representatives, you know, in the house we've We've increased that from the last election cycle from 24. It's only been going up. There's only been in their argument is that the representatives were not able to stop this. Of course we'll representatives won't be able to Sanderson representatives. We don't have enough yet to stop it. There aren't enough. And the game is rigged. Okay, So the thing is the point of having people playing the game is that it gives you voice okay, We are out of my opportunity to speak. That's what I'm working for. When I run for all that's the great thing about migration with me is that enables us to outmaneuver the Stand the status quo and out, shout them, right. I mean, imagine if 2000 of a showed up. It's a new news house. They're not going to be out there writing tickets. I don't think so. They're not prepared for scenario where people actually move because the average individual that they're used to having to deal with will not move for freedom. They sure won't do anything about freedom. But the people who moved to New Hampshire are active individuals. Because they've moved. They're willing to sacrifice their willing to get up and move. Will place where their vote will count. So it screams out the week and and that's absolutely thing the it does make it difficult because of course, you need some rank and file people who you know, I mean, have half of the people in the world are average or below. So you know, if you if you can't appeal to those people, um you're gonna lose on the numbers. Um And and so, you know, I think that's something that that we need to need to improve. There tends to be an elitist sound to the way people talk about. Anarchy that I think we need. I think we need to let it go. We need we need to change it A little. Go on. I think the thing you're talking about the left, basically criticizing. Well, I mean, the thing is like I grew up. Going to grateful dead shows, you know, And, you know, hippies they like build stuff themselves. They make stuff themselves. They're AG arrests. You know, most of them And then there's the like the socialist hippies. Were there different kettle of fish, but they're both there. You know, And the thing is, one group of people is actually very closely aligned with us. I think one of the things that the folks in the critics don't understand. Is that there's real power in migration in in gathering people of a like mind set together. There's not only the value of just having a community of people like last night we had, you know. 70 or so people that were hanging out together at Amazing New Year's Eve party and the police. They knew we were there because we were right on route 11 could they were, they knew we were there, and they were driving down that road all night, And there were disco balls that had bright lights being shined at them and spinning around. And so if you were driving by here, the party going on from the road to party all night and you could see his both through the window and they still wouldn't come. They were my balls. They were spaces. That's where those they were space discos balls. Okay, So it was Derek Derek Derek Chase balls groovy. I'm sure they're very pretty. Um, singularity is accusing me of lying about what the people in the chat were saying. Well, I don't feel like I was. But if you want to call in, I mean those those chatters always free to call in. But they love being in the peanut gallery where they just You know, I would love to hear, Hear somebody else got to call in and tell us what you think We should. We should send him some money. Kids Because look, monkeys love peanuts. You know, I have to say on your your perspective seems to be what I have heard them say repeatedly in that chat room, So I'm not sure what they said. You know what he's referencing. That was wrong, because maybe there was something that was a little bit different in this particular set of what they say this crap on this stuff all the time. So you know, call in and tell us what is you don't always like being weeded out. And sometimes they have to tell you why those grapes were sour anyway. Um, let's go to somebody else is here in New Hampshire? One of the earliest movers Dave Ridley is on the line with us from really told me that Ridley report, Comrade Dave, you're not. We're not competing with we're not competing with perfect here. No, no, It's not gonna be an easy road and we have have to be perfect. We just have to get to a point where you know we have some influence. And then maybe maybe we can.
