John Zmirak Shares a 'Tragic' Piece From the Washington Post
"A few days ago, Eric, I saw a piece in The Washington Post written by a clearly pro choice reporter named Caroline kitchener. She is their official abortion reporter. And she did a long feature about what she thought of as a woman who she thought of as a victim of the Texas heartbeat bill, heartbeat law, which says no abortion after her heartbeat can be detected. And she wrote this piece about the difficulties this woman faces and her troubles and the problem is it's a happy story with a happy ending to any normal person. When this woman gets an ultrasound and finds out not only do the kids have a heartbeat that is their heartbeat, she can't have an abortion, but it's twins. It's twin girls. She immediately gets excited and says, it's a miracle. I'm glad I'm keeping them. The boyfriend marries her. They're still married as of now. They're delighted to have each other to delighted to have the kids, but to The Washington Post, this is a tragedy because their blue collar. They live in Texas. Their kids won't go to boarding school. They won't go to Harvard. They won't go to Paris. They're going to live in the Bible belt where people try to pray for football games. And so to the readers of The Washington Post, this is tragic. I mean, the boyfriend can't skateboard all day anymore. He had to get a job. Blue collar job. Governor presents that Texas. He could run for president, is his name beto be honest. Be honest. A woman's not a billionaire. So he didn't have that motivation to marry her that beto
Live updates | Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade
"Another day of protests around the country after Friday's Supreme Court ruling ends nearly 50 years of constitutional protection for abortion You're outside the Supreme Court where barricades are up in police stand guard protesters continue to gather Sarah Bentley says abortion is healthcare If the Supreme Court is going to strike down the right to privacy and the right for women to access healthcare I think that sets a very dangerous precedent for everyone Claire signs says overturning roe V wade puts other laws in jeopardy They're coming after contraception They're coming after Marriage equality She's a lawyer who drove from Pittsburgh to protest I had to come here because otherwise he would have sat in my house and cried I'm Mike pozole at the Supreme Court
Biden signs landmark gun measure, says 'lives will be saved'
"President Biden has signed into law the most sweeping gun violence legislation in decades I'm Ben Thomas with the latest I think also very much Saturday morning at The White House President Biden signed the bipartisan compromise bill that seemed unimaginable until a recent series of mass shootings including the massacre of 19 students and two teachers and a Texas elementary school While this bill doesn't do everything I want it does include actions I've long called for that are going to save lives It toughens background checks for the youngest gun buyers keeps firearms to more domestic violence offenders and help states put in place laws making it easier for authorities to take weapons from people at judge to be dangerous Most of its $13 billion cost will help bolster mental health programs in age schools I know there's much more work to do And I'm never going to give up but this is a monumental day Ben Thomas Washington

The Latest Features From Truth Social With CEO Devin Nunes
"We're back with Devin Nunes. He is the CEO of the Trump media and tech group responsible for truth social. Before you came on, we were chatting, I just want to say thank you. I'm nowhere close to your 733,000 followers. Follow him at Devin Nunes, but my account, my modest little account, almost a quarter of a million followers already, but I can't keep up with what's happening every day. It's two, three, 4000 followers. Tell us about what's happening on the site, what we should expect in the future. When is it going to go to other platforms, messaging systems, so much is happening it's so exciting. Yeah, it really is. And right now, we're basically just a feed where we don't use an algorithm. So if you follow more, if you're like me, you follow, I think I fell about 500 people. You can't hardly keep up with the feed, right? So it's a bit of a challenge. So if you post in the morning and I don't check it till the evening, I don't know what you really said that day unless I go to your page. So what we're working on is a feature that will allow for you to easily access folks that you interact with. And so that's a feature that we're coming out with, along with notifications. And we're hopeful it's going to be out by the 4th of July. We're pushing hard. We got our whole team working here on it to try to get it done, but it essentially gives you two features that will be good to go and see and view content. So that's the big feature that's coming up. Obviously, people ask about the Android app, we are working around the clock on that also. And we're hopeful I don't want to give a date on that, but we're pushing it as fast as you can. But I should say that even if you have an Android, you can go to true social dot com and you can bookmark it. So you can get it on your phone. It's not as simple as going to the Google Play Store, but you can sign up, get your account and interact with Sebastian gorka.
Devin Nunes on the Ridiculous Charade That Is the J6 Committee
"Truth teller extraordinary. Now the CEO of the Trump media group's truth social former chairman of the intelligence House committee, great friend of the show, Devin Nunes, welcome back. Great to be back with you. As always. So we've got you for two segments. We're going to talk about you got a hint. You want to tease us about what's coming around the corner with truth social in the next segment. I'm so grateful. I don't know what you guys did behind the curtain, but I'm gaining two or 3000 followers a day. Absolutely exploding. People need to follow you on truth social people need to get an account. But let's start with what's happening right now on Capitol Hill. It's a circus. Some of our callers have called it an inquisition, a star chamber. I got to ask you as a pro on Capitol Hill. Is this going to back fire in ways the Democrats do not expect? Well, I have some other names I could call it sea bass, but we won't do that since you're on the radio. I don't want you to, I don't want you to get bleeped out. Look, the Congress has never seen anything like this. It's never been done in history, where the minority party, the Republicans in this case, don't get the ability to put the people they want on the committee. So effectively, what you have, plain and simple, is you have judge, jury, prosecution, defense, all in one, along with the media who are just going along with this charade. So I think what's going to have to happen here, ultimately, is if the Republicans are successful in the fall, there's going to need to be a whole host of investigations, but especially around January 6th and what the government and the Biden administration and the Democrats in Congress, everything that they've been doing, even some Republicans are supposed to Republicans. I need to look at how their doctoring evidence, how they're manipulating people. And look, we still don't know. And I still say this, who's this ray of sky, that's all I want to
Let's Empower Parents to Stand Up and Push Back
"So Bryce, you and I were texting when this was bubbling up a couple weeks ago. And you said you were getting kind of competing pieces of advice and I told you, you got to fight punch back twice as hard. What have you kind of learned through this kind of for other parents that are maybe in the middle or on the edge of publicizing or standing against this kind of nonsense in public schools? Yeah, so first, listen, my natural inclination. I'm a combat sports athlete, right? So my natural inclination is to lean in and press in and fight these things, but I want to be like rob says dangerous and wise. And we have to strike the appropriate tones of these things. But the real thing here is we need other people to be safe and know that they can participate and should push back because they don't own our kids and at the teachers and the parents need to see the example. Once you do stand up, look, these people are wimps at the end of the day. And in the last school board meeting, the people that were trying to dox all of the people that were supporting Steve and tried to lay out the people that are behind the alternative paper here and naming names and all that stuff. They were crying. At the school board meeting. We need to stand up and we need to do a bravely because they will back down.
Desperate Dems Try to Reinvent the Reasons for Our Current Inflation
"Moment. I got to start first here with the I mean, it's unbelievable. They had an agenda, very clearly an agenda. They want the American people to know, not our fault. You know what we did what we had to do. And hey, at least we're better off than Latvia. They're going around the world and they're making all these comparisons and they just want to say, look, we're the prettiest girl at the dance. Despite the fact that we've got so much debt and we're now in an environment with so much of inflation, 8.6%, and now the fed is going to aggressively have to raise rates, raise rates, raise rates, which will cause a pullback. We're already in one. You heard me the other day. We are in a recession. Anyway, nobody wants to admit that certainly not the administration. They call it transition, as I told you yesterday, the R word is out, and this is the kind of rhetoric we got from our lawmakers, members of Congress on Capitol Hill, take a listen. Of course, during the crises that we had, we had to do certain things, you know, stimulus and other things to make sure that we kept our economy stable. Without doing those things, we would have been in trouble. So the things that we did, going through COVID, the stimulus, trying to make sure people kept their jobs or kept money coming in at the time was what we had to do, otherwise we would have been in worse shape or not have a strong economy because we have now compared to other countries. Is that not correct? Yes, I would say this way that our inflation is a consequence of very strong demand in part driven by supply by what Congress did to support activity in part driven, but also. But that helps stabilize our economy at that time, right? It did. And if we did not do those things, our economy may not be as strong as it is right now. That's right. That's correct. All right. So strong. You see, you see where this is going. He's going to get himself in trouble there, because the whole idea is we're going to lead you up to this. You have to say, not our fault, not our fault. And then Jerome Powell, our fed chairman, kind of goof, because he said yes, you know, I'd agree actually that part of the inflation we have now is because of what Congress
Remembering How Roe Got Overturned With Mollie Hemingway
"With us right now is the great Molly Hemingway on this incredibly eventful newsday Molly, welcome back to the program, your initial thoughts on the Supreme Court's decision. Well, it's just an amazing day to experience many people have worked for nearly 50 years to get to this moment where abortion law is returned to the people. A lot of people understood that roe V wade was a poorly decided decision. You have a consensus on that, whether that's pro lifers or people like Ruth Bader Ginsburg. But it had managed to hold for a very long period of time and it took a lot of work from a lot of people and human rights activists and pro life leaders and the conservative judicial movement and finally this day has arrived and it's just a wonderful day for women and their children and their families and of course it also means there's a lot of work to come in the days and years ahead to protect these families and to also create a culture of life.
Unpacking the Death of Roe v. Wade With Lila Rose
"In a country where they were told roe versus wade can't be challenged and they made a career and they made a movement and they really focused on changing hearts and minds. And one of those people, I believe one of the most articulate pro life voices on the planet is Lila rose from live action who I am honored to have with us today to celebrate this ruling Lila. Welcome back to the program. Thanks, Charlie. What a day. What a morning. It's incredible. So what's your initial reaction? And you've been in this pro life fight for quite some time. Speak a little bit to some of the kind of embedded cynicism that you probably encountered a decade or so ago where people said roe versus wade could never be repealed. Don't waste your time. Your thoughts. I mean, I've been involved in this movement for almost a decade and a half since I was a teenager. My entire adult team life and yeah, when I first got started, you know, now live actions of global leader for education and we're working in every state in the country. When I first got started, there were amazing people in the project movement had gone before who trailblazed, but there was pessimism. There was this idea that we are not going to ever really make it. You know, we got to fight the good fight, but America is so pro abortion that we can't really win. We can't win. And we are one huge step closer to winning completely legal protection for the pre born today with the fall of roe V wade. So this is a historic moment. It's cause for celebration. I mean, even today, Charlie, abortion clinics that were scheduled to kill children today are closed now in the state of Missouri. Our closing in the state of Ohio are
It's Total Bedlam in Front of the Supreme Court...
"Its total bedlam in front of the Supreme Court. It's not. Anything that is violent, I pray it remains that way. The people are using very charged language. In fact, let me read one of the tweets of somebody outside of the Supreme Court right now. One of the speakers with a megaphone also called for an uprising similar for the one in 2020 in the wake of George Floyd's death, any sort of mainstream media sympathy that these activists might be getting. I think is going to shatter as soon as they continue to use language like this. But from a legal analysis, we have the great Josh hammer, newsweek opinion, editor, and a constitutional expert to just walk us through what exactly this means. Josh, welcome back to the program. Tell our audience, does this outlaw abortion or does this send it back to the states? Tell us specifically what is in this opinion. So Charlie, first of all, great to be with you on such a great day for the constitution and great day for the country, really a great day for the human species for the very simple reason that we will have more unborn innocent human beings will actually be able to live as human beings. So it's a remarkable day for the country and on daylight they have Charlie. I think young pro lifers like you and I just have to have a debt of gratitude honestly to the past 50 years of pro life activists who got us. That's such a good point. Sorry to interrupt. You're exactly right. It's been a lot of prayer warriors and activists and grassroots folks and a lot of Jewish organizations, a lot of pro life organization, not a Catholic organization, it's great point,
Charlie Reacts to the Monumental Decision to Overturn Roe v. Wade
"It is a great day to be alive. Especially if you are in the womb. From my whole life, I was told that the repeal and the overturning of roe versus wade was never going to happen. These are small thinking people. This is the conservative movement I grew up in. I grew up in a Republican and conservative movement that would think very small. And say, oh, no, that would be too controversial. You can't do that. Well, today it's done. Roe versus wade has been overturned. Now, regardless of your views on abortion, the judicial decision of roe versus wade itself was judicial activism at its worst. It was legislating from the bench. It was imposing new law without using the proper constitutional channels to do so. But today, as we look at the repeal of roe versus wade, the overturning of roe versus wade, there is a deeper point that I want to make with you here, that you're not going to hear on cable television. The deeper point is this anything we want to do is possible. We can build the wall. We can have deportations of illegals. We can ban drag queens from being exposed to children in bars. We can have the parents party take back ownership in kids education. We can have medical freedom. We can push back against the pharmaceutical industrial complex. I was told my whole life overturning roe versus wade was impossible. That is a lie.
Abortion ruling exposes deep chasm over the issue in the US
"The Supreme Court's move do overturn roe V wade is laying bare a deep national divide over abortion Outside the high court Lydia Taylor celebrated I've been working in rain for the past like 5 years for this day Now she wants to push for all states to ban abortion as she cried tears of joy nearby It's terrifying Ansley Cole is scared Because what are they going to come for next Columbia University professor Terry mcgovern says a lot of rights are now at risk Contraception I think certainly gay marriage and protections for same sex relationship And others based on the right to privacy This decision is the seismic shift in how we understand or how scotus is understood the constitution Sagar Meghani Washington
Kristan Hawkins Describes Excitement Following SCOTUS Decision
"Line. Kristen Hawkins with students for life, Christian, where are you and how excited are you about today's ruling? I am in Washington, D.C.. I was there at the Supreme Court reading the decision as it came down in front of the first post row generation. It's been quite an exciting day in the past couple of hours. This is something that we've been working for for my entire adult life for the folks in the pro life movement had a sacrifice and stroke for before. I was even conceived to see that that 49 and a half year old egregious decision come down today and be thrown into the ash heap of history.
Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade
"On what is an historic day in the United States of America. Roe V wade has now been outlawed the decision of abortion goes back to the states and every child born today and moving forward will be born into a post row America. This is the Todd stern's radio show and folks, it is a good day to be an American. You know, for so for so long, over these past decades, we have asked God to bless America. And I have to tell you that there was a part of me that really wondered if what we ought to be asking God is for him to have mercy on our nation. That we should ask God to have mercy on America, a nation that turned a blind eye to the genocide to the Holocaust of the unborn. Millions and millions of children slaughtered in the name of choice. And now today, I think God did have mercy on America. And I think he had mercy on America when Donald Trump got elected president of the United States when Donald Trump. Delivered on a campaign promise to be the most pro life president in the United States of America.
Biden vows abortion fight, assails 'extreme' court ruling
"Calling it a sad day in America a President Biden is vowing the fight to keep abortion legal is not over The president says the health and life of women nationwide are now at risk and the only solution is for Congress to restore roe V wade's protections as federal law He says that means electing more Democrats in November Congress must act with your vote you can act In the meantime the president says he will try to preserve abortion access though his options are limited The Justice Department says it will protect providers and those seeking abortions in states where it remains legal Sagar Meghani Washington
Kurt Schlichter: Thank You, Pro-Life Movement
"And who gets credit for this Well I can think of two folks One is collective It is the people who have fought for over 49 years almost 50 years for life You people who have been out there marching and organizing and praying in the pro life movement Today is your day You won God is great You won It's all it took a long time There were millions of babies dead But millions of babies are going to be saved by this So thank you pro life movement You guys this is your day

"second day" Discussed on The Sunday Scaries Podcast
"The milk punch. It's been the drink of the moment for too long to ignore the new york times said of them this summer in the first six months of twenty twenty one the rate of mentions of espresso martinez in. Us food and restaurant reviews is up nearly three hundred percent from the same period three years earlier. This is all according to yelps data science team which traces trends dimensions of dish names and reviews from users. There's now even a candidate and something that my martini morals will simply not allow me to get behind. I myself had my first ever espresso martini. This past february as a martini traditionalist. I took a hard stance long ago. That i'd withhold ordering anything but my traditional drink a simple tito's martini served up with two olives or maybe even some cocktail onions to mix things up. I sat at the montage hotel. The hotel where. I got married just a year before and i sipped their version of one while overlooking the waves crash from the pacific on from the lobby bar patio with three beans floating like louise. And the frothy whitecaps. My world was opened up to something i had previously been morally opposed to. I sent a single photo to the person urging me to get when the most former guest of this podcast brought merryman and he could not have approved more with each sip. Came a slowly building confidence that the night would be more and more entertaining than i had originally thought and with my skin burnt to a crisp and the perfect weather for a sweater and some shorts i felt like i had finally found at the place truthfully. I've thought about that day ever since. Was that going to be the best espresso martini. That i'll ever have. Should i have led off somewhere less picturesque in less meaningful to me or should i simply repeat that saying that. You always remember your first with everyone that i order. Now on either way might indulges in. These has been few and far between ever since not for any particular reason outside of perhaps not needing that much of a caffeine liquor combination that late in the day but one night a few weeks ago i had a bit of extra time on my hands and open night at home with nothing to truly. Do i surveyed the contents of my liquor cabinet. Only to realize that i didn't have much in the world of mixers but when i looked down beside it however i saw something that became an inspiration are an espresso machine. Hark the herald angels sing. I have espresso. i have martini. And now i've espresso martini supplies or so. I thought unfortunately for me. I got a bit ahead of myself that night as it turns out i actually did not have the correct supplies. Apparently when dick brad. So debuted the drink at fred's club in london in the nineteen eighties. He didn't simply make a normal martini with espresso in it. And when i think about how olives would mix with the bitterness of coffee i can honestly see why however when a famous model asks for something that would wake her up as well as in. Pardon my language here fuck her up. The present day concoction was born two aunts vodka. A half ounce qaluwa a half ounce of espresso or an ounce of espresso a half half ounce of simple syrup and yes three beans to garnish the top shake strain and serve and we're off to the racist. Don't want it to sweet. You can eat. You can skip either the colusa or the simple syrup or you can substitute any any of the ingredients for anything else as those small little intricacies. Or what makes martini so perfect. In general to me. So while we're all just now easing back into group dinners or just being social for that matter around espressos before a big night may be the single most perfect move if your average age group is above thirty. Put down your advil. Vodkas say are of wa to the days when four loko had caffeine for that extra boost look no further than a trademark espresso martini. Whether you're trying to wake up or simply get well. I think you know as you've probably seen this summer. It's pretty difficult to walk down the heart cells. You've ignored since thursday afternoon. But it's okay because come monday. Everything will be all right and that hangover will be a distant memory of weekends passed. That is until monday comes in your somehow. Someway still has hung over as you were the day before you wake up with the realization that you barely hit your stride and you're remm cycle because you were in and out asleep while trying to figure out if your either burning up or freezing cold walking to the bathroom to get ready for work. "There's a moment when you realize what you've done you only light in. Your bedroom isn't coming from the television. Your alarm clock or even streetlight outside instead it's beaming directly from your hand into your face when you lay your head down to rest. You had ambitions of making it to bed at a reasonable time. Instead you've now found yourself endlessly scrolling through an app. That's the time to make you do just that lose track of time and keep you up at night. of course i'm talking about tick-tock the app. That's taken over. Well pretty much everything. A few months back i discussed how hilariously dangerous going on tick tock and be at night one moment. You're turning your apple. Tv off in the next year watching some college kid drink twelve beers consecutively before drunkenly rating them. However i'm actually somewhat proud of myself or the last month or so. I've reduced my time on the app. nearly tenfold. there's been no strategy to it other than knowing. I shouldn't open it but it's lowered my overall screen time by at least ten percent since making the change and in doing so. I've also identified the various wormholes at the app. Gets me stuck in these. My friends are the most dangerously relaxing. Tick tock wormholes that will waste your time are. I is the most old man one that there could be landscape talk. I much like everyone else. Love a perfectly manicured lawn. in fact i'd go as far to say that lying on a blank on a well. Manicured lawn is a perfect hangover cure. And perhaps that's why landscape talk has rapid hands around me as someone who knows very little about lawn maintenance in general as i do not have a long currently the amount of relaxation. I get watching time last. Lawnmowers unquantifiable. do i own an edger. No but i'll be damned if i won't get lost watching a random british man edge the walkway to his house for twenty minutes before realising all the videos are essentially pretty much the same but the bush trimming oh the bush trimming. It's just the best. It's hands down the most satisfying part of landscape. Talk to trimmer perfectly shaping. The bushes the loose branches falling to the ground leaving behind a blank landscape of greenery. I get chills just thinking about it and hey maybe when i actually own a house and have some landscaping equipment of my own. This'll be the very reason. I get too far into it. We also have something that i'm calling squish talk and while i'm not sure if it's actually called squish talk that's what i'm going to call it from here on forward because that's what it is to me if that term doesn't ring any bells for you fear not it's essentially just watching high-powered machines or even just someone's hand crushing things that are satisfying to watch get crushed. If i had to guess the satisfaction i derive from this likely comes from being a child of the nineties. When nickelodeon reigns supreme in gac was pushed on us at every single commercial break but now things have kind of escalated hydraulic presses. Crushing anything from a pile of hard candy to clay razors or ice cream scoops navigating balls of sand or my favorite people taking squishy solids enforcing forcing them through strangers as a child who hated clay an art class. I almost feel like i'm having a as i trudge through accounts like oddly satisfying santana's in one that i really liked called crushing it but we also have another personal favorite of mine. Fold talk admittedly. I only follow one user. Who fits this mold. The folding lady. I don't know who she is or what she looks like. But i think. I want her to fold every single thing in my house. I'm actually jealous of anyone that she lives with because her house appears to be the most organized placed on planet earth which automatically makes it one of the most relaxing places on planet earth. Beat a towel. A pair of socks or yes even a fitted bedsheet the way in which she perfectly creases. Enfolds everything is both inspiring and addicting. Every video seems to end with one fold fitting perfectly into another just nestled in like a mother. Kuala hugging her baby have. I started putting your practices into play around my place. No no. let's not get ahead ourselves not yet but let's just say i'm in the learning phase. Another is window washing tech. Talk a beautifully clean place. Where windows are completely covered in suds. Only be be completely cleaned or shaped into something. Mind-blowing you wanna see a window washer dryer mercedes-benz logo and soap look no further. You want to see someone slowly squeezing off the outside of an office building in manhattan boy. Do i have the place for you. Traditionally speaking yes. I think there's something about the karate kid wax on wax off methodology that calms my nerves. But anytime that something can be left completely clean and symmetrical yup. I'm pretty pretty in on that in. Finally we have a personal favorite of mine. Which i think you could probably already guess. Yes it is wick. Talk the place on tick-tock where all scented candle content lives a place where i see proper practices contribute to the long lives of the candles that we love a place where i can see. The candle reviews for candles. That i can never even dream of affording a place where people get overly sassy about true don versus dip. Tc a place that. I like to call home. Is there a part of me. Who wished i could be a major player in the wick. Talk game you know. Maybe a little bit but as long as everyone listening keeps trimming their wigs. Like i know you are. I think i'll be all right. We all have that one essential. That's an absolute. Must this time of year for me. It's wine is about having fun so i to keep the good times going with equally. Good wine. I prefer light reds in the summertime. Maybe some crisp whites and i'd like to drinking chilled as spitzer laid-back nights at home or even on the water while or having a barbecue anywhere that there's a glass of wine that's cold with some some do around it. Starfleet intelligence is really really cool to me. It just makes her even cooler. I feel like. I would love to hear this as an audio book or an audio trauma. I e you know think well most of the sardar novels. At least the ones are leases audiobooks. But i think it all depends who's actually near rating audiobook whether scooter person and i'm a nerd. Classic book nerd have will book in my hand years or anything like that. I tried it is just not for me with the field ages wrote a book so audible person to but having like the data audio wrong is something entirely different and would be really cool Decided to in sayings. Because i know the finish story this. I've never had any of them. There is supposed to be really really good and a new really good job with them. And i think it started is to die into action. There would be a huge market. Ironically with my dabbling with dr who my favorite doctors usually end up being the ones that do the audio dramas with the exception of the late. Jon pertwee Paul mcgann Christopher eccleston and i think peter capaldi has done some recent ones. I i love the idea of michelle michelle hurd reading this audiobook and may be getting some of the cast. Probably not patrick. Stewart because that would cost money. I love that idea and give no. Maybe i'm just gonna put it into the ether and see if the will of the prophets can carry my word star trek audio dramas. Who knows but you know the way is worded. I how much a car actually ladies. And because i am not a. I'm not a big fish. Finishing people are. But i have read all of the current ones so all discovery era an carter once. They have really how that book for that. Never mind this fall coming but a lot of these stories that they're telling they center around the characters that other folks around so this story's made me underground. He and raf zemin. Okay is the main character. The story really cool threes on these folks especially when you have got every were very much. Mike story Other than you have these books editor telling side stories about stay Ruined silly end. George ago Which are really fun to dive into and their time doing the same thing with the car novels. First car novels folks around him. Run on regular roy and other car had very little to all and an excellent is folks senior radios and so i think Just really getting to see the stories that focus around reels rocky win the means of. Lana lana card. Basically focus on the card so get died in an learn more characters. That makes these books. So i have my qualms with star trek because so far but the characters that i really like i absolutely love and roffe is one of them and rio says the other. I'm really looking forward to fleshing out these new characters more it's kinda theme with me and my star trek fan now. I want nunu more new star trek. But we're getting some heather. We're getting some. And i'm excited about that because i i'm just ready for. I'm just ready for new star trek. "Do world and all over. Well anything else they wanna talk about. So you're out you're not gonna have any information very often that that's fair that's fair and lower deck's to This panel will include lower deck's who for my money had about as good of a first season of star trek as you can hope for. Expectations are high for lower deck season. Two when you say yeah. They're definitely high. But i i think they will too. I feel like they're so much. Love for star trek all over lower deck's that they they pretty much. It almost feels like they can't miss because they just get it so much that they get what people are asking for from them at people know what they want from lower deck's and they're gonna give it to him so if nothing else if we get like a really funny trailer for season two of lower deck's i'll be happy but a little bit about strange. New worlds would probably make other people. Happy to move added. Probably right allie. Right probably right. Which brings me to a little confession heather I gotta tell you. I i hate to come off as entitled. And that's not what i'm trying to do and i'm willing to be patient of course last year with the pandemic The post production for discovery season three got pushed off for a little bit and that was completely understandable. And it's completely understandable here with the state of the world. But i kinda what some new star trek had our accounting want some new star trek in. I'm getting a little billion the about it. Well the all 'cause i mean. This is literally actually one word month to lower next mirrors and we're recording slowly. Release tomorrow july well so literally one more month man what that is. I completely forgot about that date. I completely forgot so you know what thank you. Thank you heather. That's that's totally cool. That's totally okay. I think right now of the new star trek that is premiering hopefully in twenty twenty one or early twenty twenty two. i'd say lower deck's is the one. I'm looking forward to the most. I think it might be because it just kind of came out of nowhere and was so enjoyable and so much fun for me. So thank you for telling me that. Thank you for reminding me that. The next season of lower deck's really isn't that far away. That's that's very reassuring. I really appreciate that. It's put it in our podcasting perspective. We only have one more episode of after this long when we have no talk about talk about oh man. Thank god. But i'm ready. I don't know about you in. I don't know about our listeners. But i'm ready. I'm ready for some new star. Trek already taught me to all right. So we've got a one more bit of upcoming business. I thought this was really intriguing. Because i'll be honest. Everybody the star trek books in the star trek. Novels have never been something. I've dove too deeply into but this one really caught my attention. it really did In twenty twenty two april twenty six twenty twenty two there will be a star. Trek picard novel entitled star trek. Second self and this will revolve around ruffy According to the plot it. Here's the description. Following the explosive events seen in season one of star trek picard roffe muscular finds herself torn between her old life as a starfleet intelligence officer or something a little more tame teaching at the academy. Perhaps the decision is made for her though when a message from an old contact. A romulus spy is received. Asking for immediate aid with the help of christopher and dr agnes giradi and assistance from zone luc picard roffe decides to take on this critical mission and quickly learns that past sins. Never stay buried. Finding the truth will be complicated and deadly. I've said that coming out of star trek card sees one. I absolutely loved ruffy. I loved her character. I loved michelle hurts. Performance and more from her to me is a win. So i feel like one. This might be a star trek novel. That i pick up and it would be the first in a really really long time. I love the roffe character and heather. I'm going to throw one out at. You gonna throw it out at shoo in and listeners. Let me know what you think about. This project pod on twitter. Tell me what you think. Heather you like the doctor who right you enjoy the time he wind me. yes now. But we're going come back around let's jump into new business and talk about the news from star trek that star trek for the voyage home aka. The one with the whales will be showing at fathom events for specials theatrical screenings in august. We're going to get a theatrical weekend for star trek four. This is really cool. And and i'm gonna talk a little bit about this. I'm going to gush abell theatrical screenings for a little bit but i really like this choice of a movie because i think this is one that people can really rally around heather. I i really think that this was a good choice. Oh was i know. I have seen the one of the point of. It's in a long long long long long long time. And again he means you in hatton is that is coming to the always would be very issues to make sure i watch it again because i am a sutter four federal theatricals screenings. And i think there's just some experience watching the movie on a big mediator agreeing that it is launching Your computer phone home it. it's so It is the way movies made being zoo. It steph and more. I could not agree more in. I love theatrical screenings. Like this that that are special events Because from the anime side of thanks. This is something that happens. Semi-frequently with a lot of anime theatrical releases and i have seen them become real big community gatherings and saying they're almost like many conventions when these things go down for example a couple of years ago when The the dragon. Ball z movies battle of the gods and the movies from dragon ball super were being aired in the theaters limited screenings. You saw so many fans just intermingling. And just celebrating their love of this franchise and it was such a fun event to be a part of more than just seeing the movie on the big screen. it was just a great opportunity to be around. People like minded people a. I think that this is exactly what this is going to be. I think people are going to be looking to get out. I think people are going to look forward to seeing this movie It's directed by leonard. Nimoy it's got an environmentalist story catherine hicks in it. Why love and everything and i. I'm really excited. I will be getting tickets as soon as i can. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing some people at my screening. That might even be in qasr play because that happens with things like this and i just think it's really cool so jazzed. He later all. But i had been to sewn special. The activists the asheville screenings in my area particularly of who which got huge crowds. Like you re for the enemies so the democrats are out there. You just hit it at the right time with right movie and i think that the most wanted to turn that a lot of people. I completely agree then before you know. We'll have the motion picture to do it all over again all right so also it new business Anson mount You might have heard of him out. He's he's an actor nothing too big. He doesn't have a whole lot going on He tweeted that star trek strange. New worlds is wrapping up. Its first season of production. It's it's nearly done and while we don't officially have a premier date yet. I feel like if they're this close to finishing production. Were probably going to get a date very soon and dare. I say it might even be at the animation showcase at san diego comic con. Now it's saying that at cbo comecon. It's going to be focusing on star trek prodigy and lower deck's but heather. I think that. I i will say i would not be surprised if we get a little bit more from star trek a san diego comic con. Because if we're this close to wrapping up season one of strange new worlds. I think something's coming you know you don't think so. I think that they any world show exactly how much everyone is reading for. It and you are not going to get any news. Very last second comes to that. So like their rob here at the last anyway way like two weeks from now we do that. They're gonna leave you hanging in a says for this show as long as humanly possible. Because i mean we say over for the discovery in. They started filming a little bit before world a trailer for season two card which started filling around the world. We could have had world trailer. I know there's no reason why we got that for. They're using not to show you thing because they know strange new worlds right now. They own hype skyrocket. Even more not an win. Anything about the. John is waiting to be all up. Prodigy refining prodigy. Were finally going to get a priority for variety and.

I can throw a little bit in but we're still here. We're still talking about star trek and we're actually starting to get a little bit more stuff to talk about star. Trek is starting to rev up. Were were coming out of space dock again soon and we're going to jump been heather we we got got a pretty good amount of star trek stuff to talk about this time all right so for new episodes of new listeners of the podcast We do this with a little bit of a format of our own. We start with the old business will go into the new business things that are kind of happening right now and then we'll look at upcoming business. That's a little bit further out a little bit later. But starting with the old business. It was announced that star trek the motion picture in all its glory. We'll be restored for four k. hd with the director's edition being fully restored with an all new remastered soundtrack. I am really excited for this one. I love the idea of seeing this particular movie with how visually challenging and visually ahead of its time. It was in theaters. I love that thought. Maybe it'll happen and we'll get to that in a little bit later in new business It's been reported that the restoration take a six to eight months. Which tells me it's it's going to take a lot. And it will launch exclusively. I on paramount plus so time start dating those paramount plus subscriptions everybody 'cause star trek starting to come back around Heather this is really going to be cool. I think i definitely think wall k. Minutes to you. I love but i am not like the crazy film person who thinks that's like for high definition really matters and that i i can't tell the difference. Okay i tell the difference. But what i think is really cool star trek soundtrack. Out of all louis. Reading after's is waiting to be Mazing so for not giving crap out h. e. but the soundtrack is going to be. Well you you did the exactly the fact that you're supposed to do your brought one thing up with the soundtrack which is great while also kind of downplaying something else I am someone who can appreciate of visual film experience. I've set on the podcast. Before i got to see the first star trek j.j. Abrams movie when it debuted and premiered. I got to see that in. I max and was that amazing so i can appreciate a four k. Hd film experience. i. I'm i'm looking forward to that I do think that this is the movie to do it. If we're gonna talk about star trek movies this is the one because this was for its time. Even nineteen seventy-nine was so ahead of its time in terms of visual effects in terms of graphics This is i think maybe the best example of why certain films are so much more enjoyable on a big screen as opposed to say like on a computer screen or or on your tv. I really feel like this will be a visual spectacle in. I think they chose this star trek movie in particular for that reason. All i can really i actually. I got to see picture on screen Two years ago when it did it affect theaters for forty anniversary of and it was an incredible. So i think Remastered or on a huge movie screening. Would eating red will pay.

Impose valuation of one hundred million pounds or 132 million dollars. That's pretty lofty. But clearly fans are in agreement with the decision underneath this article. I'll link a full run-down of the financials behind Faith from Tobias a cat the Esports Observer. I could hit you with a ton of forecasts a numbers, but I think the wall of data would be a little lost on this medium and I encourage you to check out his write-up below. There are some important takeaways from this. However, the first e Sports organizations, especially those based in Europe. It seems are increasingly opening up crowdfunding options guilty Sports and Australis already have these types of options available. This will end up giving e sports fan a better glimpse into the financials behind e Sports organizations, which has been a subject of a lot of speculation over the last few years the other takeaway. I find interesting year is the doubt this cast on the Forbes evaluations for a few years Forbes evaluations of these Sports organizations provided the best guesstimate for what major sports organizations were worth at least they were cited all over the place including by myself. But after the author of those valuations got a job. Public spat with Jacob Wolfe on Twitter there was increased doubt about their legitimacy as she didn't seem to entirely know who wolf was or his expertise on the space, which is a slight bit concerning for somebody Valerie Sports organizations. So I went back to look at Ford's most recent valuation which happened in 2019 in that valuation forms as valued at $175 million dollars now Esports valuations have basically been on an upward trajectory for the last decade but clearly that valuation wasn't overshoot based on Fanatics own valuation in their company in this crowdfund fanatic might be under voting themselves, but that certainly doesn't seem likely that's

"As Klein vox editor at large after seeing tonight's debates. Are there one or two candidates that really elevated profiles to you? What surprised you most who surprised you most? I watched a lot of debates and the thing about the base is typically don't change anything true. Here I think that the debates change something pretty profound. Comma Harris became top tier and Joe Biden's weakness real. Those are the two big takeaways out of the Bates. Let's start with Kamla. So there's an interesting backdrop to come Lajos performance since she was elected to the Senate. I don't think I've ever seen a candidate politician, who as many people wanted to be great as wanted Harris to be great. They're all these pieces of the democratic coalition that are hard to put together right now. And something about Harris like if you designed candidate in a lab to put them together, you might get her. But there are always candidates who look great on paper and the question was would she be great in practice last night was an incredible debate performance by.

"This is big time to this big time coaches big time defensive big time difference of. Knitter in Wade Phillips that knows the Cowboys Jason Garrett of their offense tendencies, very well. You're going to have to get something fantastic. A lot of comments right now are same deck Prescott. Really fostered an interesting answers. Randy Gregory trae says DeMarcus Lawrence says Zeke coached says tayla Austin and grant says Amari Cooper, all on periscope Jake says Byron Jones, these are all interesting answers, and I think is an obvious direction ago because he's the quarterback and he touches the ball so much and you want him to do something special. That's fair. And that certainly fantastic. This is a great answer from Anthony periscope, Joe Ludi, Joe looney is my answer. That is a great answer. Anthony Arsim potty co today on Thursday that is my answer. Because the number one guy the guy that we're talking about if we're Rams fans right now is Aaron Donald that's the guy that you need to show up if you are Los Angeles. And so if you're the Cowboys how neutralizing in the trenches man, that's what it's gonna take. It's gonna take a Hercules. Effort from the Cowboys offense of line. And I want that to be Joe looney if I could get the best game ever from specific player. I wanted to be Joe Louis, and I wanted to be whoever's plan left eye. Whether it's Connor Williams ABC will we'll see we'll find out soon enough. But that is where it's going to come back because the Cowboys can neutralize Donald what scares you? I what scares you? And I don't say that facetiously are cast. But I'm asking you seriously. If you're watching Twitter periscope our Facebook live, what are your answers? What scares? I mean, what legitimately petrifies you beyond Aaron Donald. We know that Aaron Donald can ruin a game plan for an offense. We know that we know that earned Donald can ruin an offense is day. And if you can manage that if you can neutralize Donald what else do the Rams have that's going to really just be so immensely difficult for nothing. Yes, they have Todd Gurley. But guess what? You'd hop. Yes. They have Brandin cooks guess what you have Byron Jones. Yes, they have your Gotha. Guess what? You have Chris Rashard on the cobbles differences a whole. So overall, the guy that we're all losing sleep about this week, the guy that we are terrified of it's really kind of poetic, honestly that his name is Aaron given the couch trials Aaron Rodgers is. Erin, Donald that's the guy of Joe looney can help out and neutralize him. That is going to go a long way in the Cowboys hopes of now see laws somebody to Facebook laughing brings but other point that keeps the lead. You'll remember the last time the Cowboys played against the key to leave. It did not go..

"Make sure you do that leave us review. And yeah, that's about it. So happy Thursday. It is Thursday January tenth two thousand eighteen and we are two days away. If you're watching live where a little over forty eight hours away from the Cowboys kicking off in Los Angeles for their playoff game against the Rams and starting to feel real starting to feel kind of antsy started feel big tomorrow. I think Friday is going to be one of those days where you're at work. You kinda. I have no sense time. You're just kinda getting through the day working for the weekend. That is the mindset of Cowboys fans everywhere. This is the biggest game that the cows are going to have played in some time talking about the podcast feed. You can listen to the latest episode of the seven five with Tony Casillas. And I I we reported earlier on Thursday morning. Tony said that it is the biggest game for the Cowboys since they won their less Super Bowl. Troy Aikman told the Fort Worth star telegram on Wednesday night that the two thousand eighteen feels a lot like the ninety two teams. There's a lot of good vibes. And a lot of good thoughts. Lot of positive just sort of feeling surrounding this team in this game. Let's talk about this game. Let's talk about Thursday's injury report. Now remember that because the Cowboys play on Saturday last week because they play on Saturday this week everything and their schedule is bumped up date. So while this is Thursday. This is the final injury report. There will be no practice on Friday. They will be traveling to take on the Rams. Friday's excuse me. Almost that myself. Goodness. Gracious thursdays. Practice report full participants in practice. That's what you want to right away. Take on Austin Noah Brown. Tyrone crawford. Jeff heath that goat. Of course. Shanley zack? Martin Dak Prescott. Did pop up on the injury report. Everybody kinda freaked out for second. He's outright Tyron Smith was a full participant in practice. Limited participation from Collins, limited participation as well for exhibits who are enduring Thomson and no practice for Colby. We'll get into that. In a second. No practice. David irving. That's not any surprise and no practice for Blake jar win. So let's discuss this situation. Obviously there are three players that everybody's concerned about when it comes to this game in Los Angeles. You've got me Collins, you've got Blake Jarwan, and you've got Kobi's -ly. It does seem like me Collins jar. They're not practicing kind of precautionary and they're going to play and everything's going to be fine. And we all feel that way. The the Kabanov from entity. I wonder how bad this Kobe's usually injury is. And that's the big one. That's the question, Mark. That is the hesitation I think for the Cowboys is Colby's legal to be healthy enough to play in Los Angeles on Saturday. If there's anybody I think that you know, could go the whole week without practicing any player on the Cowboys offense. That is a skill position player that you would be fine. Playing certainly called the practice helps and practices certainly if you can practice you obviously want to but Kobe's Li I think will be fine. If he's healthy enough to play, you know, this is really just a matter of whether Cole feels like he can go or not. That's what we're going to have to wait and see until Saturday an hour and a half before kickoff. It's going to be one of those down to the wire things. And you look at Kobe. The obviously reactivated that ankle issue last week against the Seahawks. But, but yeah, I mean, there's no real way to know what this is going to be you what direction this is going to go until we get there. And I think we're all hoping we're all. Leaving praying were all sort of channeling as many positive officers. We can Kobe's Lee will be fine. But ankles are weird Kobe's kind of needs his ankles to play the game football..
