"Geek. But yes i think probably the world titles of what he'll be more famously remembered and maybe actually longer term legacy more achy not be his on track stuff so it might be in all the stuff around equality and getting grace representation on the great and in the paddock. Which i'm sure is probably the legacy he's most interested in. Certainly i spoke to him last year. About you know what it's taken to what it took to win that twenty twenty wartime on. That was what he he and question. I asked was what gold. If you've got left achieving formula one and he said well. The goal is is the most important on the biggest which is to improve diversity which he he's obviously at the forefront of that and he has firsthand experience that nobody else does so it's very important to him and of course a very very important. 'cause i was just ours just reminded john of your point about round numbers how annoyed i still am. The sebastien loeb left it on nine world. Titles you got guy for that tenth one do assignments and gets anywhere near tamworth. August gets nine. He's got so he's got to go for the tents and but i think it's worth looking back the few days. Actually you know. There was a tweet being shared by mercedes about louis joining the team. That was obviously in september. Two thousand twelve ahead of the two thousand thirteen seasons of the nine year anniversary. The deal being done he would go on. You know replace mark of course retired for the second time but john looking back to twenty thirteen did people what was what was the feeding in formula one at that stage about what hamilton had done because been with mcclatchy boom very successful. He'd very needy won. The two thousand twelve to the car had been more reliable. You've got to have a feeling that he would have been building the fight there against the lonzo and better because it was very fast that mclaren so what was the sense about. Hamilton was risking by going mclaren-mercedes. Think opinion was divided. Where there are those who are very cynical of the move. He felt that He was making a massive mistake. This was a team that You know wasn't didn't look like it was gonna be gunning for world championship Didn't look like there was going to be much success on the horizon and mclaren had been a watch hampshire hamilton. The one is title there. The car looked quick But equally there were those who could sense this kind of change of direction momentum in the team especially in the key to it was. It was a two thousand fourteen regulations. This was always In the back of everyone's mind this was one of the selling factors that they took to louis about the potential from fourteen. And you could see the the kind of the glimmers of potential coming in at mercedes. The car was getting quicker. was achieving more success on track. Even though you could sense that there was a chance of going for a world championship and fourteen. I don't think anybody in that product could have predicted the scared of domination that we've seen that it would become the not total lewis helton era but a mercedes era formula one with seven seven consecutive world championships. Constructors championships now and six drives for lewis one for nikko. So just an incredible air of domination. That's what wasn't predictable. I think he could suggest it made was making the right. Move to go there. I'm especially after look at the problems facing mclaren. I think it was very very interesting. There's a little comment from louis after the Race in russia where he took the winning landers there and saying how great it was to see my team up there and that they're united again. I thought that was a really telling point because you know he's final time mclaren. That was the you. Know the the power battles going on between ron dennis. Whitmarsh team principal need a lot of uncertainty about where the team was going and what was happening so that was quite telling so as much as is sold it to louis e clear there was some kind of uncertainty isn't doubts mclaren time deliver it had long term potential and that's the other side of this story is is it's obviously a much more minor part but is what happens to mclaren off the hamilton left because looking at the best nights. If you don't know the history we haven't read up on things that it just looks like hamilton leaves and it all falls apart from mclaren but it was. It was more is much more complex than that. Things were things had been building for for a long time. But it just shows you how long how long it took for the team to get back to winning ways. I mean twenty Jenson button wins the last race in brazil. And it's only daniel ricardo. Winning at monza ends that off straight from mclaren. Yeah i think it does look bad as say looks like this leaves and it's just a disaster but i think they were bundling she's is john says there are people who were there at the time that actually can go back as as the spy gate and the fallen they had prevented them from putting investment into new facilities and all that sort of thing which eventually co-op with them as time went by so they would just yeah they they were hitting. They were heading in the wrong direction. When lewis left. Lucy then tried to. They tried to make a big leap for for twenty thirteen to try and fund. Do that lasts bridge to to red bull and actually when the wrong way in the call me. I wasn't really any good. And they still have gene. Botany world champion. he'd run it actually outscored lewis across three years. They'd been together. I said no in terms of wins in terms of points. So it's not They they didn't have some strength on the driver driver. Line up front so yeah. I think that their their issues were were much much more deep than just lou losing hamilton. I think maybe that was. He was indicative of where the momentum was going in f one paddock. You could say losing louis was the thing that kind of ended the mcclaren mcclaren rolling at the front well. Let's talk abou hamilton and how he is sustained his success. Because it's never easy for any sportsperson. Andy field to do lewis done in terms of success wherever a massively long period of time think about nicklesberg how much it took him just to win one..

mclaren hampshire hamilton sebastien loeb hamilton lewis helton john tamworth mcclatchy Whitmarsh lewis louis nikko Hamilton ron dennis daniel ricardo landers Jenson button russia brazil lou losing hamilton

"Was racing but it just happened to be so that i tried that sport because my dad had the idea of having to keep the kids busy when they're young You know to do school and then sort of have as little free time as possible You're getting into trouble. Is that kind of dad was thinking. Oh no thanks to challenge yourself as much as possible so then when you get the age of fifteen would be ahead of the other kids by you know seeing life seeing the world and potentially doing some of your skills know not just studying but doing some sports and i was doing school amei sports gymnastics and a little bit of racing and then eventually racing to over from those and it was just racing in education. I'm interested usa gymnastics as well because having a strong call. Does that. Help you racing somehow. Well i'd be lying. If i said it helps now because i stopped training like three times a week every week when i was around. Eleven or twelve so it was a long time ago. Well it was half of my life. My sebastien loeb. The the world rally champion. He was very good gymnast as well. That's cool i mean. It's a very difficult for. I know the olympic russian athletes in sports gymnastic actually took his first medal in twenty five years for russia. A few months back. Say what were you good in gymnastics. Mainly everything to do with strength. I was quite good. I was very quick to build muscles. But i struggle to rotate in the air. For as many times. I wanted. So i think my coordination needed some improvements Back in the day but strength exercises on the rings. And i'm not sure in the particular to llc serious about the rings. Yeah oh my goodness. I was okay at like pull up. Pull ups and gaps and stuff like that. How many pull ups can you do. Now. now i don't remember i remember. I wanna competition. When i was at school. I did twenty nine when i was like ten twelve But then i broke my arm and that put in backwards. So i think now around shifts in and mma mixed martial arts is that is that a big thing in moscow visit. Do a lot of your schoolmates. Were they doing that as well in moscow. Not so much. We always have regions in russia. Which are like chechnya dagestan. Which that's the only like. That's the main sport. The national sport that they do in of the athletes from those places are surreal. That's despoiled they're truly loved since oh kid and i still have now like if you give me a free weekend. I will definitely go in washington with those performances. I think athletes and how hard they have to push themselves from is really fascinating and Back in a day or even so now Those are very famous african further. Milenko and my dad took me to one of his fights and then i met his team and he sparring partner became my coach. I home very good friends with even until today and we still trained together for what twelve years now so he that's One of my definitely. My favorite sports is it intimidating when you get in the cage. We'll actually never fought in the case. So i'd be lying if i said what it feels like. I don't know. I still have this Well the cages close. There's no way to get out of it. I think the cool thing about fighting in a cage is that it's just you and the other person and the door is shut. You know obviously in my sport. There is a big things behind you..

"In. Good time i know. We got a lot of racing action going on. We are going to chime in a bunch of that. I know me personally. I got some fun stuff happening This next week a lot to talk about on the show and Shoot one of the one of the biggest things. Truthfully that i got going on next week I am going to be heading out to pastrana land. Yes i will be strong land for a few days having a ton of fun and who knows what the hell i'm going to get into holland back there It's liable to be entertaining At the least and probably dangerous at the most. But yeah it's i. I'm looking forward to that man. You wanna talk about one of the most iconic places in action sports over the last decade pastrana land. i mean we're talking to place where the the quad flip would not on a bmx by triple flip. Went down on a dirt bike. Who knows what else. Travis has done the videos that have been filmed there. I mean he's got skate park motocross park. Utd tracks like. I'm so so so looking forward to getting back there and having a hell of a lot of fun at pastrana land. So i you know big question. Is i going to do a backflip. i'm not committing to it. But i'm not not committing to it. Let's put it that way. Well this dot. We'll we'll see what happens when i get back there. You never know allow never quite know will happen but i will definitely be heading back to land. It's going to be a ton of fun. Definitely looking forward to it and You know you got anything you want me to try. Gonna you want me to ask you got any things. you want. Photographed him up at jimmy for fifteen on social media and We will definitely Definitely let you let you guys know. You know what i can find out. And then. After that i'm heading to crandon and short course race since last labor day and yes crandon. I can't wait to get back there. My home away from home one of them a place. That's embraced me. I've embraced it. I absolutely love it. I love the people. And i am so so looking forward to getting back there for You know the the brush around here in the spring and You know they've got that community cup race it's it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun. You know big storylines around that obviously kincaid. The local boy to to their You know is he going to be able to keep that alive obviously. Cj agrees in the pro fours. I mean utv's is crazy right now in the midwest things are exploding man. it's it is going be Going to be a good time. I know the anderson brothers. I think are going to be back there for this one as well. Her little room. I think maybe haley degan going to be sneaking back there So yeah we've you know. I've got that going on me personally. A lot of stuff happening right You know and we're also prepping for vegas torino. It's just out of pirate's cove. I know a lot of you. That follow ye. Tv's on the west coast. You know where pirates cove is that just outside of needles on the river. And i just gotta think them for an amazing time We voted we utd Had the razors out for You know for their offline or weekend basically where you cut off the grid and you go out and your razor and you have a good time and you know it was absolutely tremendous time waters. Blue food's good drinks are better beautiful facility if you've got an rv camping like drag. Tv's you love boat literally Pirate's cove is where it's at. You definitely need to make a reservation and go back there and go up there outside of needles and have a great time so yeah me personally. That's what's been going on in my world but we've got a lot of news and i'm already like i know you guys gonna talk about the baja five hundred i am going to talk about the baja five hundred it will be in the next segment because it's gonna take a while we're we're going gonna have to sort through a lot of agains integrates the baja and i'm gonna need the full segment to do it so i feel like i'm not going to be able to do justice by talk about it right now but yes we will get to that but You know one of the big story lines coming out last week to and motor. Sports obviously is Mclaren obviously mclaren. We know them. They've got their formula one program. Obviously there's the auto manufacturers well so they got their formula one program obviously One of the most decorated formula one programs of You know of of you know. I don't know probably last. Few decades had some struggles recently. But i think they're definitely on the upswing but You know as they've grown they've expanded the program. I know a couple of years ago they went to the five hundred Didn't have the results. They wanted there but you know it was one of those where it opened their eyes now. They've got a full time indycar program so they've expanded indycar And doing a great great job. I gotta give them a lot of credit. You know For missing the indy. Five hundred a couple of years ago with fernando alonzo to now actually being very very competitive in the indycar series They have they have coming a long way. So as it continued to look at things and expanded growth you know mclaren one of the most iconic motor sport globally They have announced in twenty twenty two That they are going to feel the entry in the extreme east championship. Obviously you guys know. This is the electric vehicle championship off road College hoops price. Good friends of the show. They both compete there along with some of the best global talent off road and rally You know we've got sebastien loeb competing their carlos sainz so You know some true true global world class talent Big news from clarence to get involved. There it's funny companies. Big as at you know never i. Stage rally is something that they wanted to do but something about extreme must have caught. I caught their attention. Obviously it's got the globes attention right now. I mean electric's that's the that's the hot topic right. Tesla's done amazing. You know be all auto manufacturers announcing new electric vehicles. Everything's kind of moving towards electric story for another day on the show Because i the tech is amazing. I worry about you know the power grid and things like that. Beat up. Support it you know. We've got rolling blackouts in california in the summer as it is an hour going to go and plug millions of vehicles into the wall. Yeah i've got questions and nobody's been able to seem to answer it other than oh it'll work will it but that being said Mclaren as a committed to Fielding a team in the twenty twenty two extremely championship You know so right now. I think they're at nine. That'll give them a full ten teams I'm sure there's going to be. At least i would think another team or to pop in over the off season. I don't see anybody folding But yeah it's it's got me excited to see that you know. I just hope that you know my biggest thing with extremely as a hate. The format of the races man. I wanna see everybody out there at least four or five cars out there time. And i i don't like the qualifying can basically if you have a bad qualifying. You can't even make the main event. It's just so weird format. Great cars gracing weird format no vision. Wheels are also on all those extremely cars but yeah that's kind of one of my big things. There is like the concept is there. Everything's there the structure the bones. Everybody extremely has done a phenomenal job. And i just feel like the format isn't quite there yet to showcase. These cars shook his driver's showcase the talent. And i think once they get that nailed. This thing is gonna blow through the roof. But there's been times i've been watching on tv and it's just not quite there yet and You know. I think obviously year one. They've had phenomenal success through two races. And i think there's nothing more but good things to come from that series. But like i said dot. Let's get them. Let format massage a little bit but Yeah so extremely. Mclaren joining extreme championship man then is going to be absolutely huge You know as we talk about things that have been going on gotta talk about. Nhra gotta talk about this one this round in new england You know. I know we have beat a dead horse talking about them. Damn cap co-boys. But our boys. Stephen billy torrance of billy only part time. They're just dominating top fuel. I mean it's a domination. Like i said we are witnessing greatness with steve towards his dad. Billy is the same Billy just taking the one there at new england nats. I gotta give shout. My boys a capco Just continue to kill. It continued to You know just to push the envelope of what people thought. A teen could be We are watching a dominance that we've never seen before in motorsports by a team and it's both cars. I mean this is just crazy. How good these guys are. And how i mean. You know. it's like billy at part time to come in and you know he's taking a victory. It seems like every year the past couple of years just an amazing amazing team You know i. It's a great family run organization. You know a an ecosystem healthy healthy environment for drivers and crew members. The thrive and succeed a man. You want a blueprint for success. You look at what the torrance's and then capco boys are doing and top fuel in the nhra said it before. I'll say it again. You are witnessing greatness and you hate to miss it because twenty years from now you're going to look back and be like man. Jimmy was right if you listen to the show but you know you. You're going to be like man those guys we did. We missed it. You're watching michael jordan circa circuit nineties. Here you know you're watching greatness You know take it all in no it. you know. it's a damn good but big shout out to our very close friends You know the torrance's on that big victory there In new england but Yeah we're gonna take a short break. And i promised one we come out of this break. We will be swing and we are going to be. Talking about the score baja five hundred all that entails and a whole lot more man. It's going to get interesting. Is going to get entertaining at jimmy teen social media. If you've got questions In regards to bar or anything else we will definitely definitely get them answered in the show but Yeah we're gonna take a short break. Welcome back to the general tired radio show powered by polaris razor and got to give a big shout out to my good friends at fistful of bourbon for the fresh replenishment of Of the those nice Bottles full of that Flavorful brown stuff that i love Yes it made for a great week in a pirates having a little bit of fistful bourbon and my fist but Yeah if you haven't tried that stuff is great It is unlike any whiskey. You've ever tried before. I will just say that and especially bourbon. So i'm bourbon. Drinker and fiscal berman is where it's at so yes Talking a little fist full of bourbon and last weekend speaking of last week. And obviously we've got a big yesterday. We've got Larry rossler one of the all time greats Two time hall of famer ama and the offered motorsports hall of fame. So you know if that's not an accomplishment. I don't know what it is. i don't know. Many people are into hall of fame's right For both the disciplines. They've competed in. Yeah he is absolute legend looking forward to having larry on the show But you know he is the winner. Winter the official overall winner of the baja five hundred. How did we get to that point. Well it wasn't easy. And i'm sure larry i we're gonna talk about it but So the race wrapped up and originally. I believe it was a luke. Mcmillan beating andy mcmillan by handful of seconds and larry osler was in the third spot so that was your original podium as across the finish line for bah so it was looked mcmillan andy mcmillan and lear osler immediately red flags go off siren. Start going not really but Online and things like that. You know there's a thing about racing bonao to you is photos or video evidence of everything you get. Stella got all tracking stuff like that so immediately you know competition review board gets involved and that's one thing scored does amazing. They do have the competition review board made up of ex racers and when there's infractions things like that they sit there. They make a decision and then once they make that decision they take score that decisions final. So it's not score making the decision. It's actually group of your peers of racers. People have been there done that. They actually sit on the competition. Review board and make the decision in regards to You know what what the penalty is going to be. So you know there's a respect level there know your peers making the decision so you know guys that have seen it done it and You know it makes it a little bit easier. I think for them to To to make those calls right so you know this goes in and nobody knew what the heck was going to happen. I mean there's video of anti macmillan hitting cars on the road people making dangerous passes You've got time penalties you've got virtual checkpoint penalties. I mean there is a lot going on. There was something like eighty percent of the entire field of the baja. Five hundred had penalties. Now i'm just gonna put this out there anytime. Eighty percent of your people do something wrong. It's not necessarily the people doing it. Wrong i have to look at the sanctioning body and the processes in place in going. How are we tracking this. Because not eighty percent of competitors wanna have a violation. So why why do we have eighty percent of it competitors with violation like to me that throws up red flags and i'm not saying scores wrong. I'm just saying the process is wrong. Because you shouldn't have. Eighty percent of competitors getting penalized. If you you're schoolteacher college professor and eighty percent of the kids in your class fail. That's because you did something wrong. You didn't teach them right. You know and i kind of feel that way about you. Know scoring bob when you've got eighty percent of your competitors. That are getting penalties. This isn't the competitor's fault yeah there's a few just like a schoolteacher view they're just dumb you know but this is a bigger picture thing like all right. How do we You know how do we fix this. You know and to me that's where we're at Is that you know we. There's there's a bigger picture here. There's something else going on and You know how how do we alleviate that. How do we fix it. So you've got all this going on. Competition review board looks over everything. They decide that. Luke mcmillan is getting disqualified. Luke you on no you didn't. You're out boom done since you home. You are expelled. You're done so then. Aiming mellon becomes the winner right no pump. The brakes sorry. Any were penalizing you as well. I can't remember. It was like thirty minutes something like that. I should have a fax from me. I don't i'm radio host. I just spit spit stuff out there. So ending air. Pump the brakes. You quite didn't win. We are going to let lear also who did have a speeding penalty of some sorts. But he's going to be the now new winner. So you went from having looked mcmillan. Andy mcmillan. And larry rosler's your top three to larry also winning any ill and second and on top of a no sula sneaks in and snags a podium so the final results are rosler mcmillan taba overdose. La- one two three and it started out as looking male an anti macmillan layer osler one-two-three. So yeah i mean there's a lot happening in baugh. There was a lot that went on there and Yeah i mean how. How do we get through that. I don't know so this even gets deeper though so today. Yes today. I am going to have to go. I don't even think it's on their website but score there was a video of there was a video of a chase truck passing on the highway causing all kinds of chaos family and got hurt all kinds of stuff right so score was looking investigating that so now they've made in. This is where things really go wrong. And i don't agree with it That the driver the chase truck was deemed that they weren't affiliated with a team so that person is quote unquote banned from score events for the rest of the year and they are going to make it right with a family affected and cover their mechanical and medical expenses. And i'm looking at this going. So what does somebody in baja struck with a chase. Rack with tires. you know. Enter radio on his truck. There's pictures of it all over the internet. Like what is he doing down there. If he's not affiliated with a team i mean i inspected off road races but when i go on spectate it i'm not carrying a bunch of forty inch tires around and and and things like that so i'm looking at outgoing. What what the score. no or. how good was this investigation when they're not taking action against that penalty. There's so much going on there. I am just going to say. I don't know what the hell's going. On racist i haven't raced in bois. Since two thousand six two thousand six erased in boston's two thousand six been down there. But i haven't raced personal reasons. Why don't race and sponsor reasons are that my sponsors don't pay me to race down there but that being said like i raise a lot right this year we've raised. I don't know how many races so far three three races some years. Five six seven eight races year right. This is gonna be a big year for me with with events and you to go to mid four hundred world championship legacy. I was just that legacy race. We had the sections things. People aren't boneheads. people aren't idiots. Like what about baugh makes people think they can go down there and just freaking lose their mind like what. I don't get that year race in the states. You toe the line. You do things right. You go to baugh. Everybody becomes idiots like why. Why do people thinking. I get it vas the wild west. But they've they've toned down Not be speed limits on the highways things like that like the they've brought it back you know th buys grownup Technologies there people have evolved You know it's you know they're connected with the with the rest of the world now like baaz different than bob. Twenty years ago and I guess that's my thing like i'm looking going. Why do these same teams these same people race in the united states and we don't have problems though saying teams go south of the border. They have problems like what's going on. What causes that. Why why you know is is all this going on down there like what possesses these teams in major teams to go down there and just lose their minds. Like i don't know. I don't get it. It's to me that that's one of the biggest mysteries of offroad. Right now is why. Do these problems happened. Baja these problems don't happen in the united states. same people different country different results. Why why what causes that. And nobody's answer that for me. I don't know people go better and bomb not gonna lie talk beer definitely better than bah the you know. The scenery is definitely better than bob. I'll take that over. You know the mid four hundred course any day right but you know so. We got a lot of the same. But there's a lot of difference in the differences are the ones that matter like. Why does this happen like we. It shouldn't we shouldn't even be having these conversations on the show so i don't know what's coming to this. I got a feeling this isn't the last we'll hear about it. I mean the internet's on fire. Right now i mean we're talking hundreds and hundreds of comments to post So i don't think we've heard the last we've seen the last of this But i do think there's a whole lot more to this and You know. And i. I think it's kind of fishy that we've got a quote unquote chase truck. That wasn't part of a team. Nah not buying it not buying it one bit so given year run down to the rest of the results other than my rant because we got a minute left You know we had layer osler. Anti mcmillan todd of it ocilla. Dan mcmillan rob mak. Your top five. You had a trophy. Expect jason macneil sliding into sixth overall first class one finisher brock dickerson. Finishing in the seven spot another trophy expect ryan hancock finishing in the eight spot overall it's overall and He was second in trophy jerks back. We had chris miller cantina racing in trophy truck. Finishing in ninth overall. That was six in trophy truck and then justin davidson trophy trucks. Tenth overall third in class. And you're winner and score. tt legends. Adb's ralph helen. And then we had. Brian wilson tim herbs william hedrick junior and raw gomez your top fifteen. Ut winner gotta give a shout out to my boy brandon sims doing it down for polaris razor and mike cathro taking a win for razor as well and you know what we got. Take a short break. We'll be back after this on the general tired under de radio show powered by palatis razor.

"Charging standard is needed argues. This next article reveals recently introduced adventure network. Of course i is a closed off network. The only ravines will be able to use this article says creates a confusing combo of charging types and exclusive networks business standpoint make sense rotor makers enticing customers with an exclusive network is a benefit but like tesla's supercharging network according to gizmodo tesla's the only carmaker that uses its own proprietary charge connector when tesla established the supercharging network. It's made the tesla's pacific dc connector. Because the coleman ccs plug wasn't available and tesla has clung onto that this article says despite everyone else agreeing on s a tesla. We refuse to budge an again. I would point out that. Yes if this article is being written in the us for us. Readers that's probably quite appropriate points out that he's not accurate because they are of networks like vigo they have tesla challenges for instance in use the ego network.
