"Tom, this is annoying. Tom, people are out there having fun with something that's happening. What about French breads? Can we hit each other? With French bread. That way you wouldn't be wasting diesel fuel. Now I don't think it'll hurt because they say they're super soft. There you go. So I'm sorry. I don't understand the water in the mouth. Should we finish this? It probably hurts. No, and so if you yell, the water will come out. Right. Yeah, you can't draw, that's true. So let's see here. That looks okay. I felt that. I felt the wave. Oh. Okay. You're getting a tear and I went to a total explosion. Go hit him. See what happens. So now I'm sorry, could we get back to the story of the guy who hits the wall? What do we know about probable cause affidavit? Police responded to a residence in Marion county. One of the 39 year old suspect or tello Alfonso told officers that he had a verbal altercation with his spouse. Would have been funny if his name was Ortega. Well, that would be for the sorry, never mind not a pizza. The victim, however, said the dispute became violent, telling officers that her husband grabbed a slice of pizza and slapped her in the left side of her face with it. When pizza hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's domestic violence. Doesn't really run away. An officer noted the woman had pizza sauce all over her shirt, as well as the remnants of pizza in her hair and ear area. Officer also reported quote, I observed there to be pizza sauce on the walls, and the ceiling of the kitchen area, which further corroborated the victim's statement. The man was taken into custody on charges of misdemeanor battery. Wow, okay. Could have been worse could have been a hot lasagna. Really. I would use that kind of noodle tool that they have, the sort of spoon with the little fork ends on it. Oh yeah. Scoop lasagna, and then I'd use that like a lacrosse stick. For a little bit. So the juke break the ankles. Now that wouldn't be technically hand tossed. I think Willie's right though. You got to use that. Or just a regular lacrosse stick would work. It's too netty. Why isn't there a movie scene where a guy's straining spaghetti through a lacrosse stick? Hey, you know what? Sean William Scott, if he does that, I'm on board right now. Why not? The netting really isn't that tight. Mildly amusing. Tennis racket. Hey, he's back on duties. Dick's back in town. So this guy ends up in jail. I mean, you can't do that. Yeah. Okay. All right. No. That's called the domino effect. No. That leads to more violence.

"I don't know that it's one of the greatest films of all time. I don't know. If they're comparing it to, I don't know, Citizen Kane or on the water front or whatever. Yeah. Raging bull. But I think back then. But I think that you can exist somewhere between greatest film of all time and sentimental garbage that made money. The center between those two max and I were talking about it. We think that it held up as well as perhaps. It seems more like a novelty now. It does. Yeah. You know what Tom Hanks also said people don't people don't talk very much about one of his favorite movies and that's called road to perdition. Replacing a gangster and it's a wonderful movie, Daniel Craig is in it and Paul Newman. It is a, it's a really wonderful movie, and he plays a very different role in it and he's very beautiful in that role. Speaking of Tom Hanks, Lamar, the people's movie Kurtz reviewing Tom Hanks new movie, a man called auto tomorrow. Oh, okay, good. Yeah, very good. You have seen the ads for that. Sean William Scott thinks people would get arrested today for some of the content in American pie. I think so too. He says it would be unacceptable what was represented in that movie at the time. I remember reading the script and being shocked that there were cameras on computers. And of course, what he's talking about is the female character that doesn't know that she's being videoed and watched. I was outraged. I was outraged by that movie because I think life waste. That was a waste of such a lovely pie as a pie eater. It is a fan of pie. You couldn't find something else to defile in my house. You took a pot. That is disgusting. Apologize. Molly Molly Ringwald says how her character is treated in The Breakfast Club is troubling. She said, at one point in the film, the bad boy character, John bender, ducks under the table, where my character Claire is sitting to hide from a teacher. While there, he takes the opportunity to peek underneath Claire's skirt and that would be a problem today. Brooke Shields says she's proud of pretty baby. Which was the first movie she was in, but she would not let her own daughter do it. And this environment with social media, just being a mom now, looking at my 11 year old because she played a prostitute in that. I would not allow it. And speaking of prostitutes, Julia Roberts says, pretty woman is full of things. People could poke a hole in. You think so? Do you know how many actresses turned down the pretty woman role before Julia Roberts took it? Diane Lane, Daryl Hannah. They looked at it and I said, I don't want anything to do with this. And then she took it and she said, I'm proud of what I did in it, but every time I see it, I like it less. They sold it as a romantic fairytale when in fact it's a story about a prostitute who becomes a lady by being kept by a rich and powerful man, and I think the film is degrading to a womankind. You and I have talked about that and we talked about that a long time ago. That is toxic. We talked about it when it first came out because my grandma black hair was staying with me and she loved going to the movies. I took her to every movie that was out. And one of them was pretty woman. And we're sitting in the theater and she's got her milk duds and her popcorn and all of that. And I can't whisper either, so it's like a genetic family trait. But we're not very far into the movie when my grandmother goes, what the hell is this? She's a whore. But she's right. She's summed it up. And it was made to be glamorous, my God. You don't even want to know what she had to say about the hunt for red October, okay? That was also a moment in the theater. Katie sagal says she has no illusions about married with children being sexist. Listen to what she says. This is what made her a career playing the mom and married with children. It was a mean spirited and misogynist show. It was so completely inappropriate. Today, I don't think the show would be produced because it's so globally offensive, even then it wasn't a lot of people's cup of tea, but for some reason it had amazing longevity. You know, the first time I saw it, I couldn't believe it. I could not believe, especially the character, what's her name played the daughter? Christina Applegate. Applegate, her character was so, so inappropriate as a 16 year old. I thought that her career was going to be over. Thank God she has wonderful career. I hope she, gosh, I hope she doesn't get any sicker than she is. She's walking with a cane right now. Because she's got so many physical issues. She's a mess. She's really struggling. And of course, trolls online are like, ew, you got fat. Like, what is wrong with people? Are you? No, I wish. And she has gone and slapped them back down. People saying, like, people posting under pictures of her. Somebody needs to hit the gym. Got people are awful. People are all full. I know. The Internet is an amazing thing, but it's also a horror fight thing. Bring whatever you drink. And celebrate. Happy hour. 7 VM eastern live on the bob and sherry Facebook page. "Joan, what do you think? It was great to hear those words to come out of Chris mouth. Knowing that in his heart, he wanted to see all 5 guys back together, whether forming is, if it's at a Michigan basketball game, this set someone birthday or it's a relative outing or something like that, but with all that experience and I'm speaking of spinal campus and hanging out as young men talking about how what's our next step at the college and all the stories that we used to share together and talk about what happened in practice somebody get dunked on. You know, those are fun fairs moments that know what to take away from you. And I'm sure he's reflected on all that. And it's great to hear that when you mention about, you know, let's move past it. I thought that was pretty funny. You know, I can't leave without saying about that one. When you talk about KG in reality, getting passing or whatever happened over to Boston and I remember when ray decided to join my heat, I was on a map. He came at that time and I know how KG and Paul pierson have felt it's not easy, but and all that and when she's getting older, there's a life where we all have to move on and just whatever mistakes are guys may have said bad about someone or whether it's a difference that you've had, that's what family do. They go through those moments where you grow and you move on and that's nice to hear that that's what's going to be happening soon. Well, you have a large role in it, coach juwan Howard. You go and go forth and keep on advancing. It's just a thrill to watch. It really is. And I always cherish when you take the time to call into the show. I do not take it for granted. Thanks again. Truly. No, it's a truly honor and to be here on your show and I know your Michigan man all. You and I, you know, it's a special bond. Only us Michigan people are truly understand. And I'll be a part of that amazing blue special and we're saying that I would just want to leave you with two words. Yes. Go blue. Thank you, Joanne, Howard, right back at you. I've got a big grin on my face right now that I'm sure I love you, right back at you, right back at you, do you want Howard? Thanks for the call. Good luck against Villanova and beyond. That is one Howard, everybody. You back juwan Howard right here on the rich eisen show. The 1992 and 2022 version of myself are all very happy. Let's take a break here on the rich eisen show. By the way, LeBron, how about LeBron calling him about that? But he still would root for Ohio State over him. Come on, man. Sean William Scott in studio can't wait to chat with him next. And we're here on the terrestrial radio audiences rejoined us. Sean William Scott, welcome to flat we just saw a great clip of it Thursday's 9 30 p.m. eastern on Fox. You came out and you have some questions. Questions for me. I want to get which is fine. You want to get inside your brain. Okay, normally I'm the cue and you would be the a, but I have no problem. Okay, switching up. Go for it. But these are some things that you might have talked about already today. That's okay. I can be annoyed. Okay. I go, and everyone's understanding of it. So Baker Mayfield going. Now that's an excellent question. I don't know. What do you think? No, here's the thing is I don't know and the way it looks right now, I don't know if he's going to go anywhere before the draft because I don't know if anybody which is August April 28th through the 30th. I don't know if anybody would trade a draft choice for him if they're going to go draft a young quarterback right now. So if they don't Seattle, you think Seattle May Seattle is the only spot that could come get them right now. Yeah. That's what I think. I just don't know if he is at the Seattle could be one of those teams that's going to draft somebody. And so why would they go and spend a draft pick to go get an $18 million quarterback if they can get a kid for four years of contractual control at an aggregate less than that money for one year? That's my answer to that. Okay. All right, so that's one. Garoppolo, does he stay in San Francisco? Now that is something we've been talking about. If you guys, you guys need me. We're talking and thinking about the same stuff. I need you. You complete us. It's basically what I'm saying. Yes, I would agree. We have been discussing this, Sean, and it's an interesting situation. It seems like Indy didn't want him because they were unsure of the recovery time on his non throwing shoulder. So they were considering him? Yeah. He was thinking about it. I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Until they Matt Ryan came along and had them at hello. And so however, if he stays in San Francisco and starts again there would be, but everything is crazy going on. Like today, Tyree kill getting traded to the dolphins and devonte Adams. Well, I didn't know this. I heard you because I heard you talking about something and I just stopped doing press all day, so it's funny because I was going to say, these days, at least in the last couple of weeks, you're not checking the sports, like in 5 minutes, you're going to miss a big trade. Correct. What? Tyreek hill this morning. I had no idea he was even in play. You wake up this morning and the news is that, yes, that he's available and he's no longer going to be a chief. The chief's consider him tradable because I guess they couldn't work out a contract and then the dolphins traded 5 draft choices for him. Literally an hour ago. That's insane. Yes, sir. And nobody had any kind of idea that nobody did. You're going to leave or would leave or even share a single thing and my ears to the ground. Wow. Wow, that's crazy. Okay. What's your team? Do you have a team? No, I got a bunch of teams, but I gotta say, I love Brady. Okay. I mean like I'm 45 years old. He's killing it. It's unbelievable. You look like you could give me some snaps right now though. At age 45. One time. It hurts me to see other people get hit once in the game. I can't knocked out. If you got hit one time? I get knocked out. And it felt rock solid. Like you had a rock solid handshake. Inside it hurt. Like inside my body was in lots of pain. No, but. Who would be top 5, the top 5 teams that have the chance to win Super Bowl? Okay, here we go. He's number one. Rich eisen's top 5 soon. Oh my God. He's going to make news. This is big dude. He's going to make news. It's going to be everywhere. Yeah, we did the quarterback. Plus we're going to tweet it out. We get it. Mike, can you give me some NFL films music right here? Because I need to get in the mood for this sort of stuff. Sean William Scott asks me this.

"The rich eisen show. Today's guests, former South Carolina men's basketball coach, Frank Martin, Michigan head coach, juwan Howard. Plus from fox's welcome to fledge, actor seann William Scott, and now. It's a rich ISON. All right, hour number two of the rich eisen show is on the air. My head coach from the University of Michigan one hour from now, juwan Howard will be joining us there in the middle of their practice, getting ready to sharpen that maze and blue iron to take on Villanova. How come you're not a Villanova fan? That's a good question. I don't know. I'd like Georgetown and then when Villanova beat Georgetown, kind of made me not like Villanova. 'cause you like Georgetown. Georgetown first. I'd like to when you over TJ. There was a guy named Doug west. He played 13 years in the NFL, like a very distant cousin of mine from Altoona, grew up like Doug west was like a God in Altoona. He went to Villanova, so I definitely followed them, but they're just not one of my teams that I'm like. To east coast for you? No, they just weren't Georgetown enough for me. I gotcha. I remember that back in the day. You don't want to be an interesting aspect of this is you know who had no villain over really well is Michigan assisted film martelli. Yeah. You know? He spent many a moon in the big 5. As it's known there in the city of Philadelphia, so that'll be later on in the program, Sean William Scott will be joining us in studio huge news going on in the NFL tyreek hill is now a Miami dolphin. How about that? Jeez. But we'll place that aside for a moment and talk about March Madness right now with our guest who's on the Mercedes Benz van phone line right now. And I'm enjoyed his work on television this past week. A longtime coach in South Carolina also and Kansas state Frank Martin here on the rich eisen show. How are you doing, Frank? Rich, how the heck are you, man? I'm doing great. How are you doing? You kidding me, the dolphins just signed a left tackle. They signed, they just got tyreek hill. I grew up across the street from the orange bowl. We're getting ready to roll again. I'm really happy for it. So you grew up across the street from the orange bowl? Is that right, coral? Your coral gables guy? Is that what you're saying? Little Havana, little Havana, next neighborhood over. Okay. And we grew up playing on the dirt fields that were surrounding the orange bowl. That's where people used to park their cars back in the day. And that was our neighborhood. That's grew up sneaking into the games. You go watch Larry's Anka and bona Connie and Larry little and. Oh, yeah. Paul warfield and the rest of us. No doubt about it, Shula, being the coach of it. I mean, back in the old day. We were actually wondering what's the real March Madness? The NCAA tournament or NFL free agency right now. It's kind of crazy. Up until a week ago that March Madness now I'm sitting around staring at the wall. So I'm a little Cheddar but don't create this. Frank Martin here on the rich eisen show. Okay, Frank, so what do you think this story of the first week of the NCA tournament was? What do you take out? Yeah, I think it's awesome. I think it's a total reflection as to what's happened over the last three, four, 5 years. Everyone's making a big deal about the transfer portal this year because guys are immediately eligible, but we've been averaging 800 transfers a year for 5 straight years. So it's the balance that the difference between a 13 seed and a four sheet or whatever it may be a two and a 15, those days are over. The 13 in the four and 5 and the 12 and so forth. There are a lot closer than they used to be when you combine transversion to one and done. You know, there are certain schools that recruit one in Dons and those kids keep coming and leaving, so they stay young. And then a lot of kids that are backups at the two seed don't want to be back ups and they transfer to the 13 seed and makes the 13th seat a lot better. So I think it's a direct correlation between what we've had over the last 5, 6 years and the present moment. Which I think is awesome. It makes that tournament even that much more fun to watch. You know, question, but then when we get down to the sweet 16, I mean, how much of a run do you think somebody like Saint Peter's can truly have when you see what the blue Bloods are putting out there having made it this far? What do you think of that from? Yeah, yeah, Richie. You don't get to the roundups. You don't become a sweet 16 team as a fluke. It's really hard to get into that tournament and it's really hard to win in that tournament. Once you get to the sweet 16, you got a real team. You got real guys. You might not have the popular guys that you got real guys. And when you got real guys, you got a chance to be whoever's in front of you. You're a real team. You don't, you're not a dysfunctional team and make it to the sweet 16. That just doesn't happen. So everyone that's in this week 16 has a real team. I mean, there are united team and there are battle tested team and everyone that's in the suite 16 has really good players. Now, like I always say, everything's match ups. Everything that I was on TV last week, I used the analogy between foreman Ali and Ken Norton. A lead toy performing, a leash struggled with Norton, foreman put Norton to sleep. The styles were just opposites, and they just created problems for each other. And it's the same way in the tournament. I think the matchups is a lot more important than the name on the jerseys right now. Does that make Saint Peter's buster Douglas? Frank? Does that make St. Peters in your analogy? No, because no, because they were never fat. They didn't have to get shaped. They those values, those guys were young and hungry from the workout. So what do you think Matt painter produced thinking right now, which he and Holloway talking about how he's got kids from New York and New Jersey and they don't I'm sure you might have heard that sound bite where he's like, yeah, they're not afraid of anybody. He goes, they're not pushed around. We do that is what he said. Yeah. Well, that's who shaheen was as a player. Anyone that knows shaheen and remembers him. I've known shaheen since he was a young kid. I mean, he played for Kevin Boyle at Saint Patrick's and New Jersey in high school and I've known him forever. So he is fearless. And when you see his team play, they've taken on his personality. They're fearless. And he means what he says. I think Matt, I mean, Matt pater is not going to lose sleep because shaheen Holloway is talking about he's got tough kids. Matt painter has tough kids. The whole thing is matchups. And Matt painter has two big old bodies inside that I don't think Saint Peter's has. So that's a major problem for Saint Peter's, is how are they going to identify and deal with trevian Williams and the big kid. I can't pronounce his name. But then again, Matt painter's team Purdue, based on last week, when I studied their numbers a little bit, defensively, they had not been a highly efficient team. They've been okay, but not great. And keeping those Saint Peter's guards out of the lane is going to be a big, big challenge for Purdue. So it's all match ups and but that Matt, I can tell you this, rich. Matt's not rolling in bed right now worried about shaheen having tough kids. And shaheen, that's who he is. And I'm really proud for who he has continued to grow to become and how good a coach he is right now. Frank Martin after a stellar week on TV joining me here on the rich eisen show talking NCAA tournament. So you've been talking about matchups and that's what it's all about. Certainly now that we were in the sweet 16, which kid in the tournament is the biggest matchup problem, which team has the.

"So I don't know how to explain other than that. Yeah. But what I realized watching this new one is the closest I'm gonna get to a third ghostbusters movie is another film I think directed by Ivan reitman and that's evolution with David Duchovny and Orlando Jones and Julianne Moore where there's like some alien meteor that smashes in and starts Terra forming an area and all these weird oh, Sean Williams Scott is in it too. But that gave me the same kind of vibe that ghostbusters one and two did. And actually I think we should podcast on it at some point. But do you guys remember that film at all? Yeah, evolution. Oh yeah, okay. But yeah, I mean, it's like it's weird. It's like you can't get back that first feeling bad of watching a movie. And that's kind of how I felt. It's like, I think I'm finally at peace. It's like, you know, even if they had made a ghostbuster three and brought everybody like that the grumpy old man, it's like, I don't think it's still gonna be the ghostbusters that we want. It's like, you know, it's like of the 80s of its time. You know, with that feeling that you had then, you know, it's like you can't quite get that back. It's like once they do another three amigos movie or another goonies movie. It's just not gonna be the same. And that's why I think they did enough in this one to they appeased me. I was like, okay, little things here and there. I was appreciative of it. They left the ending open or the second credit scene. Yeah, that was they did enough. Because you're right. You're never going to get that back. I mean, literally we were watching the first one, it was on right afterwards, and it's like, God, these graphics suck. No. But I couldn't stop smiling. It was mad..

"All right, we're going to have you be a tree. Just be a tree out there. You know, the cameras aren't you're in the background. It's fine. We'll find a scenic like overpass somewhere where you can see to the ocean and then just have him pose for a picture, and then get in the car and drive off. You know? But that was the height of his career too, right? Scream, I think. Monsters unleashed. I think was up there. What was the bushwhack? Was that 2002? Yeah. This was 2001. Taylor said what you just said again? Was he in bushwhack? He was in the movie where there was a bunch of canoes. There was a canoe and they were in the battle. No, no. Seth founder paddle? Seth Green, without a paddle. Oh, that was it. Who is the third? Matthew Lillard, Seth Green. It wouldn't have been Sean William Scott. Could you say Matthew Lillard one more time, please? Matthew. It was a little touch and go. Anyway, talk amongst yourselves. Anyway, I mean, that was like his prime time. He was a definite 2000. Yeah. He was a high demand D list actor. I was like, we need someone that we can just give a back of Oreo of two and do a film. We're gonna call Matthew lyric. Can we refer to that as a dude? Where's my car era? Oh yeah. God. I don't mean to be so critical of him. He just got on my last goddamn nerve. Speaking of critical, this movie is on Roger Ebert's list of his top hated movies. Really? And obviously, hated is one of the things I loved about him is when he, when he loved a movie, he was all in, like he loved it all the way through when he loved her bonsai. Yeah. And when he hated a movie, oh, he loved tremors. Tremors was three and a half star movie for him. He hated 13 dose. With a passion, you read his review, it is like it is like an ice bucket challenge with sarcasm. And sarcasm. Yeah, he hated this movie all the way through. And it's like, I don't feel that strongly about it. Just mainly Matthew Lillard's performance. That's most of my life. I didn't look at this one up. And this is not the right podcast to do this on. But Friday night that we did do a podcast on got a 92% on the tomato meter. And it's 76% on audience score. I went to mention that earlier, and I didn't see it here. 16% of you all need to have your heads adjusted. But 13 ghosts, what was the status of that? Let me check talk amongst yourselves. Tomato meter. I did think that the ghost hunter order name was David's character. Didn't really matter. She was pretty unconscionable. She squished. I thought that her transformation into the villain was a little bit clunky..

Freeman like crossing his arms and walking around a lot in that one too absolutely. Yup i want louis to reductionist versions of every film. He's ever seen best armful. Morgan freeman twenty four years in a row. My last thought about basic instinct by the way to get back to maybe the definitive erotic thriller. The problem is i was watching it. The mystery feels really good. And then you realize. And i know i've said this about the movie scream for before it can only be. It's like a yes or no ending and it's not interesting either way. You know whatever the ending is. It's not that fascinating and in addition to being an erotic thriller it's a mystery that doesn't lead up to anything so that's where the movie is a failure. You always find a way to drag screen for. Don't you hurt you. I wanted to ask you guys this. Because i think that you saw these movies. Like formative times and your sexual you sexual careers but everything was reading about. Cruel intentions said that it really changed people in the ninety s and how they viewed sex in themselves. If they'd seen it like it was it was giving voice to a generation of repressed sexual teenagers. Do you feel like these movies at the time changed. Formulated did anything to the way you saw yourself and you'd sex. I think it's fair to say well. I was not allowed to see movies like this. I came from a very christian household at the time. Luckily that devolved. But i think it did heighten what i thought you got out of sex that you know. In addition to fulfilling biological need it was this climactic moment in just the drama of your life. Always which is. I guess true on occasion but not really i mean like it mystified sex. I agree with that okay. Yeah you know it's cruel touches. Taught me anything it did. Tell me to keep your cocaine of across which you lead by your net shockingly. There's with that moral. I can't believe why do you think the turtle one.

"Almost watch field of dreams. This weekend But i didn't but maybe i will now would you. It's a good question. I watched this movie. With the rock. And sean williams scott. I don't remember what it was called. Run under rated though the run with that run. Yeah the rundown awesome really interesting. Good movie it. I love how you have field of dreams as a boring movie in the rundown as a good movie. Have you seen the rundown. It's really do either of them. I read this for walk and was good at it. You know what. I was thinking. Also sorry to interrupt. But you know what i was thinking also when we had mike sure on the baseball thing he was telling this story about will farrow and the famous more cowbell skit right and he was saying how they wrote that months before and how it was more woodblock and then it didn't end up making air because of the fact that they didn't think it was funny and then he came back months later and i wish that we would have asked him. And maybe we will in the future. I wonder who the host was that they originally pitched that too. Because that's skim words because of christopher walk and i think sure farrell did part of it but i wonder who the host would have been because it ended up being like a perfect storm where they've replaced the woodblock and the cow belt but the host is really what sold it and i wonder what host missed out on that iconic. Bit of comedy rundown was good. I got a whip. How the watch i read. The i read the field of dreams wicky at like three. Am this morning and it was so boring. i don't. I don't understand what that neither of you have seen the movie yet. Both of your calling it boring. go watch it now. It's one of the all time great movies. And i'm not certain that should be remade. Is it a tv show or a movie that he's doing a series that he's doing okay. I mean that's different because the movie was perfect. We make sure could like you know. Film a tv series about like a piece of dog poop. And it'd probably be really good and funny and compelling and i'd watch all ten seasons of it so it'll probably be good. It'll probably be better than the movie. And this is the other thing. I have a problem with the field of dreams. Thing i would. You know. we're watching this game together. Last thursday and i was like a guarantee if this goes well. They're going to do this every year. Now and just run it into the ground like it's gonna lead all the field. Though i mean they gotta use it. They built it so we should come. It's just gonna lose all of the specialness of it being like a cool one time thing and we're just going to.

Joshua's leland this when i was not expecting to enjoy the original but i did the up on that for this for the movie a no not a thing did not enjoy would not do again. Send back to the kitchen. It's no rather titans. Sounds like a different guy. Every time at that time it was. I realized after i did it i bust into the symphony. He's been he's been a different voice every time. What are you talking about. I just said that. It sounds like and punky brewster. That's the thing we're gonna do. Isn't it damn right we are. You probably don't wanna do that next week. Who knows maybe we'll find out. Suzanne was a huge punky brewster fangio. Who the hell knows anymore. I don't even know who the person is with confused by so many things now. Hey that is something on the show you know. After twenty five years she can still surprise you luksa hazard. There's a sunny side up. Not the kinda surprising mike was looking for. Yeah sure. I want surprises at this point. But anyway thank you very much for listening and we'll be back next week with more forty going on fourteen. The second part that really made me laugh out loud. it wasn't even it was like. I'm not saying i was like had a it was like was when they got pulled over by the campus police and their jain natural. Like are you guys you guys. Police campus police and they go and drive off. Yeah that was yeah. That was pretty funny with with all of our collective experience with campus bullies. You know. I thought that was pretty funny. But there wasn't a lot of absorbed. All i'm saying is that was not for comedy there. I laugh more of the original than i did this or sure yet the other bit. That actually made me laugh out loud was when they asked. Are you you to you guys. Are japanese say oh yeah. We converted that got me. That was kind of funny. Yeah that that was okay. Maybe three three or four though but for something that was billed as having johnny knoxville in it. And or having you know sean. Mike sean william scott who we liked remember when we saw him in the goon or sure your down on him necessarily every one of his roles but i will say the two biggest things at this show..

"I don't even know what you guys are talking about. Did you watch a different version than high. Tin took the core sample and the found out. It was cold and it blew up. Faces were covered in coal. Yeah yeah that's yeah they they specifically when they get pulled over by the group of guys on the way out of the city are are called out for like are. Are you guys in black face right now like that. That's an explicit line. I don't remember that. I mean i remember them. Let me watch. Just watch this yesterday. So while i'm just wondering 'cause there was an unrated version. There is a regular version. And i don't know whether that joke was in one and not the other because what did you say his name. What they got surrounded in their car by a bunch of black socks and then the concert up and they were black to that scene. Obviously i destroy. Remember them having the black face now. Granted i was watching it while i was working so i don't always look at my phone. Sometimes i'm listening. It wasn't like they were black face like l. jolson it just that. They had a smattering of coal dust over Basically i'm not justifying it. I'm just telling you. Yeah that's why you probably missed it. Because it's not like they. They didn't put shoe polish on their face for sure for sure. It's not solman. No let's not do that show by the way under right. And i don't know i just think that The to like they tried to give the guys distinct personalities but the personalities they assigned to them were assholes Like they tell you. Get the beginning that these guys are so close cousins. That could be brothers but instead they are just like the first thing you see is them bashing each other in the face with foam books. I guess it's because they had johnny knoxville. Let's do some jackass. stuff is on. That was that was exactly what it felt like to be especially when he made the comment about to. Well this this is strictly for johnny. Knoxville is all this is put in for months with him a writing the writing the safe like if felt like they decided yet. We've got this guy so let's capitalize on the jackass stuff. Yeah they are. Sean william scott also said in an interview with johnny knoxville would play the bubblegum game with him on a daily basis. Remember that from From waiting yet. Try to get the guy to look at your nuts type of thing. I guess that's why i was in the outtakes. He made where he yeah..

"On the location for the drifting scene where the generally makes several laps around the generally monument is actually Least circle in new orleans. Sean william scott openly regretted making this film. Critic say was too crude. Compared to the original he actually felt that if they had given them an r rating it would have allowed me. Johnny j to make them more enjoyable film Not sure he's right. I'm not sure i mean. He's right about regretting this film. Yes so after the success of starsky and hutch. Ben stiller and owen wilson were offered. Play the roles of luke. Duke accepted the offer as they did not feel it paid. Tribute to the original series as starsky and hutch. Did we still haven't done the starts now. We did discuss constantly now. We absolutely did that movie that show. I did ninety percent. Sure yes we did we did. Yeah 'cause i remember watching the movie. And i thought it was for the show. Okay i'm gonna take three in woman get minute. Maybe we didn't know i'm thinking about it. I don't know. Because i don't remember making nope starsky and hutch graphic starsky and hutch. Really's holding positive. We'd done that i would. I was until i started thinking about it and added to the list. I guess anyway. Thank all right. So ben jones khuda from the tv series hated this movie primarily because a series was a family show and this movie was borderline are rated for sexual content language. It wasn't really like like the first one was a family show. Let's not be. let's not be stupid. i mean it. There was a lot of implication. But it wasn't a lot of implication strata. Basically what they did in this movie is they did what they implied in the in the show they they showed you what they implied in the show. Like the duke brothers. Were not like these innocent guys that were like the only person in that whole show. That was the guy that was like uncle. Jesse who was a moon steiner and it gave it up they talked about. He lived the whole ten commandments. And everything yeah he. He you know he was made for family. Catherine bach daisy duke and duke brothers. Come on that's it. They're not like family friendly. You know they're not angels but they're not really stupid and unlikable which was. My biggest problem was was not a single likable character. And i'm not saying that Here we go again turn it up. Bring no go ahead. Sorry didn't mean. And i'm not gonna say i didn't like anybody but it's willie nelson was being himself and he's likable and jessica. Simpson was being hot. But she wasn't exactly playing a character and everybody else was aggressively unpleasant and stupid even actors who i like other stuff like this movie was aggressively stupid and i..

It's it's unclear. His film doesn't really his relationship clear to the story at all of the comics do a better job of confirmed that he was heinous injured in iraq. But it's actually. It was a great friend of one of the other characters. Sean williams scott's character. I feel like the movies. i don't remember. I don't think they really make a very clear joy. I think at some point. They mentioned they were not good friends. And that's it who cares select. He said that it's his best friend. Yeah i was like oh you guys were one autism landrover robert frost. You know but like who you know it. It doesn't really matter at all. But yeah i just i feel like that kelly's remove from really from the actual issues of the day as someone who's conscious white guy looking on and really help feed into a film that also feels at a remove and captures that encaptures that kind of idiosyncrasy between policy in effect and what america was doing which is really trying to like lick its wounds but also kind of stump up. Its bats war machine and creating new targets and basically kind of moving into perpetual war mood without in literally in a war against an idea like the war against terrorists like if you parse that freedom the second realized Insane thing to do and yet we're in year twenty of this now so it's just a really striking sequence and i think if if nothing else southland tales stands on that sequence alone to me as being just is incredible with the fucking taylor saw just as being like this absolute on a snap in in the smithsonian is like what was america like and just put that in there that may be the magic trick of this movie because it to call it a masterpiece. It's been forgotten is absurd to me. This is a deeply flawed film. It is it's enjoyable. It is enjoyable but it is barely held together at many points. And i think the difference between kelly and say pt anderson or even lebowski is also another very pin. John esque film and inherit vice. Echoes it quite a bit to his detriment. At times i would say. But what i would say about. This is that. If kelly was brought up thinking he was smart. Which i agree. He has that air about him. he's not this is dumb dumb. But that's always the way it is. It's the gifted child syndrome royal. Yeah for like an you goes to tell you that you're smart not the world at large epson. This is probably my fourth time seeing it almost as good as league of extraordinary gentlemen but not quite at least at least at least they both suck. I was in say at least one of them. Has sean Sean connery in it. Yeah but that really doesn't do much for it though Yeah i and this is like the weird time when they were trying to make orlando jones. A thing yeah and it just. Unfortunately it didn't pan out but lately he's been getting more shine which is good. He's a fine actor but in the early two thousands. I i remember him from this. And replacements seven guy. Yeah was it. i didn't know that four godfrey. Yeah oh okay. Godfrey the the comedian. Wow not gilbert godfrey godfrey. I forgot about that. I mean he. It's weird because you get three different ends of the spectrum with this movie we you get again sean. William scott is unbearably terrible Then you have. David do coveney. Who's just so boring so dry and so dry and you clearly doesn't give a shit in this movie and then you have orlando jones. There's just you know he's doing his best. Yeah yeah he's giving it his all and you know. God bless him he definitely seems like he's in a different movie than than the other two. Yes but mark where. You're coming from with evolution.
