"A contract here. We don't know what they have at a Malcolm butler or Jalen mills, or Sean wade, or, you know, is McCourty gone after this year. I mean, you know, he's on a one year deal again. Who knows? He's gone. They don't really have a free safety. We don't know about Joshua Bledsoe. Kyle Duggar is not a free safety. Adrian Phillips is not free safety. Jabril peppers, I don't really think, do you think he's a free safety is more of a box linebacker than anything. I think he's a strong safety versatile player that could play in the box and still use and bring him coming forward. So Dax a pick like Dax hill would give them coverage in a lot of areas and just say, all right, well, if Jonathan Jones doesn't want to take our contract extension offer, he can go to market and we have a guy that we can plug and play. I mean, miles Bryant can play in the slot. You know, I don't think I think he's, I think he's a really good player. Of course, he was burned sometimes last year. I think slot cornerback is like the hardest position outside a quarterback in the league because it's a two way go. And if you don't get a lot of pressure, forget it, those guys have no chance. I guess a guy like Isaiah McKenzie, you know, I think miles Bryant's a good player. I think he can be he can replace Jonathan Jones. I mean, he was an undrafted guy. He's going to be going into his third year. He quickly, as a rookie, as an undrafted guy, I was almost unheard of that he's playing different positions. Free safety, different safety spots, cornerback, like that's unheard of with the Patriots. So I'm a big miles Bryant guy, and I think he could do the slot, but Dax hill can do a lot of different things. So that's interesting on your mock draft, and we'll sort of get into the nuts and bolts of it later. Speaking of you have them trading down in my column today on BS J I explored the possibility of them trading up.

"The fastest and easiest way to wager on all the popular sports and games, bet online, where the game starts. All right, so options for the Patriots will get to in a minute first. Let's look at what they need. This is what I've got written down, Greg. Cornerback, obviously. That's my number one name. I've got cornerback offensive line, linebacker, and wide receiver. Those are my four top needs. Yeah, we're pretty close. I mean, I have number one cornerback and Mitchell is not that, or at least I hope he's not that. You're hoping that who knows Sean wade pops, and he's that guy. But number one cornerback that could happen in the free inch C or draft. Middle linebacker, you know, like miles Jack is out there. There's a street free agent where it doesn't factor in the compensatory picks, I assume he's going to be very popular on the free agent market, but that's sort of like the ideal guy. You put miles Jack with Mack Wilson and camera grown and raekwon McMillan. All of a sudden, you've transformed into an athletic linebacking core. If they get miles Jack, oh, I'll be happy with that. I have X receiver. A boundary receiver. To replace Nelson Aguilar, if they can get somebody like an Allen Robinson and we'll mention a few more names here, then I'm trying to trade Nelson Aguilar back to the Raiders and McDaniels and ziegler, who obviously signed off on him when they signed him last year. He developed he really popped under Edgar Bennett, who McDaniels retained as raiders receivers coach. And then I have nose tackle as next. I want better than Devon. God shall if I got to move God child to end, so be it. And then number 5 would be my slot receiver and then left edge as we talked about with beefing up the password. So that's sort of where I see the needs. If people want to go over to BSG, I have, you can see my whole deck chart, my whole needs list, all that stuff is available over there. And just to throw a name out there, and this is going to continue to happen now over the next few hours. Of course, we're doing this live. So when you finally see this things have already happened most likely, but as I'm looking on Twitter, Eric flowers has been released by the commanders now, flowers was a disaster in New York. They moved him up front though. They moved him. And he played pretty well. They moved him out of tackle. They put him at guard. And he was cut. He was making about 10 million a year or whatever it was. So, you know, that's just the name. And you're going to see more offensive lineman, I think, release. You're going to see a lot of other guys cut because teams got to get under the cap. They've got to get to that number. So we'll see if more names pop up here offensive line in those positions of need. The salary cap situation, Greg, there are about $12 million under they can create more room now. Do you think they'll do that as we get closer to this deadline? Do you think they'll look to create more room by possibly restructuring judean and doing other things?.

"To me is a Paramount importance in this game. They have to get turnovers for the bills. They have to win the turnover margin. So just to counter to that, are you at all concerned about Jalen mills and Sean wade who are on the COVID list? Just in the sense that even if they are active, maybe that they've missed some reps, conditioning? Is that all something you factor in when you look at defensive backs trying to throw that wrinkle curve ball? I don't think so. I think whatever you have, you go with. Justin bethel, Cody Davis, special teamers out there like whatever. Give me more speed, give me guys who can tackle which the special team guys can do and I worry about sort of matchups later. Okay. So we'll keep an eye on those things. As of this morning, those updates on wade and Jalen mills for the Patriots. So before we keep going, you mentioned the weather. I think it's worth bringing up. It's going to be really, really cold. And you mentioned, you mentioned how it could be, of course, don't turn the ball over from a Mac Jones standpoint, but you said in our pre show discussion about how it could be tricky. What do you mean by that? In the sense that you feel that to generate any kind of passing game, you find that worrisome because of how cold it's going to be. Yeah, I just think you want you don't know look, we still don't have the answer on whether Mac Jones can play in these type of conditions. I mean, you know, I don't think he's been great the cold or it's been. So, you know, can you count on Mac Jones, making plays through the air not turning the ball over? You know, how's the ball going to come out? I could tell you that whatever they will be watching, the coaches will be watching and they did this, they do this every game, but especially when weather conditions are important. They will watch Mac Jones intently in pregame warmups. Basically, they watch them in the first buffalo game, terrible wind conditions. We know that. But they watch Mac Jones in the warm ups and we're like, we can't throw the ball or we can only throw the ball with the wind. That's the only thing that we can do. He's not powering the ball. It was not going well. So they will watch him in warm ups. See, how is the ball coming out of his hands? How does our arm look? Is it loose? Is it free? Is it going to be cold? And then, you know, the football just gets harder, you know, in those conditions. So even the running game, ball security is going to be Paramount. The Patriots at running back have done a really nice job. For the most part, the last since about week four, they've done a really nice job in that regard. And the bills can get a little loose with the ball. That's Allen and the running backs. So to me, that's an advantage for the Patriots, but you really got to gauge Mac Jones in this weather. I'm not optimistic on him being excelling in these conditions. So the Patriots are.

"At a certain point, miles Bryan, I think it's just a matter of miles Bryant's not physically fast enough to cover his aim McKenzie. McKenzie's one of the fastest players in the league. I think anybody is so at a certain point you need to recognize that make a change. Whether it's, you know, giving Deangelo Ross a shot. And would that have worked? Would Ross have been able to cover? I don't know. But you don't know until you try. And it was kind of one of those things. Honestly, Devin McCourty is probably the fastest player in the defense. He played some corner. I would have given Devin McCourty look there. Just a look to see what happens. They were so good. The other problem is, you know, you like to think Sean wade could get a look there. He's an actor. Juan Williams. I don't know if this is a matchup for Juan Williams. Maybe you come out with Williams who significantly bigger and he just jammed at the line. He upset the timing. He's an active. They weren't ready on all of I think they expected the bills with all their COVID cases wide receiver to come out and just run run and run. And I don't know how you can expect that from that team. Yeah. They weren't ready. They weren't ready for it. And they were caught totally off guard once and started happening. No adjustments whatsoever. Again, I think miles Bryant's a good player. I think he, there's a role for him on this team and he can do a lot of things that they need. But at a certain point, you know, he didn't play well, but at a certain point, it's on the coaching staff. At a certain point, the dude's getting beat time and time again. You can't just leave him out there to try like that. It's not like, you know, he was covering them all game, and then Mackenzie started popping off in the fourth quarter. If that happens, that.

"I start pulling them off one by one, what you see on the top are the last three guys or will you see on the bottom or the last three guys I pulled off the roster. You see on the top or the next three guys I would have pulled off had I had to make three more cuts, right? So this is what this is essentially defining what we would call the bubble. This is putting actual quality quantity to it. And this is my this is a look at what my bubble is right here. Yeah, I like that. I would say my last three on, I would go probably gunner, right? I think he's, it has been a lot closer this summer with gunner a chef ski than I was expecting. You went in all pro awards. It's really just this last week. He was fine until this last week. Yeah. And it's funny because he wasn't even close last year and for that all pro voting. He won all proponent returner by an absolute miles. So the fact that we're even considering this, really shows you how far he has to go as a receiver. So I'd say oh chef ski as much as I like the numbers in terms of y'all need to do is I think in terms of what the production has been out on the field. He was somebody that would have been one of my last guys on. Certainly, Sean wade, but I don't know if you want to count that that's kind of a live him on mine. All right, so Shawn away would be the other one. The guy that I think believe it or not, the player that I and there's some guys on the defensive line and certainly Christian wilkerson. So I'd say wilkerson in terms of next three, right? Wilkerson probably Monterey's Adams on the defensive line, but the guy and I had the toughest guy time cutting was to Sean power because he just does everything right. He does exactly what they want that position to do. It's not flashy, not sexy, it's not he's not gonna go out there and put up all these sack totals and get Pro Bowl votes. But a hard nose, lunch pail, edge setting special.

They were calling us spin doctors or something. So hey, look, we hear a K away the voice of Colorado aimed to accommodate everyone. And if they want to turn off their own chauffeur and for you know a Knauer and listen to spend. Doctors were happy to bring that. Bring that in for them since they couldn't get it on the road To be a Friday is 7 30. Let's head out to the hotline hotline there right now and check in with a good friend of the program, and I don't know. Are you a spin Doctors fan there? Tim Jenkins. How are you tonight? Well, I am. Yeah, but I'm a fan of YouTube and you guys the spin doctor. I feel like there's a There's a quarterback in tie in here talking about the spin doctors, you know, spinning the football. There's a tie in here, We'll figure it out branding purposes that marketing job. There you go See the boat. Joe Sloane. Yes, It's energy, You know, synergy, the new paradigm, Other other corporate buzzwords. Uh, Jimmy, It's good to have you on the show at T Jenkins elite. We're also gonna have him on Wednesday. So we get a double dose of him Jenkins this week because you're gonna debut your tray Lance breakdown on Thursday morning, But tomorrow morning, we're expecting a breakdown of Drew like season. So a zig I That has said that he's a no doubt Pro Bowl quarterback next year. Top 10 court. No, I'm just kidding. I'll let's Let's leave out the hyperbole. What did you learn? From watching Drew lock over the course of the season. What are we expected to see in tomorrow's video? Yeah. So you know, it was cool because I was able to go back. And obviously watch weeks. You know, one through eight, uh, from the film before I really started happening with you guys and Started really pay attention, Which was fun. Um, you know, to be honest with you. I think you know, tomorrow is gonna be all about hate, You know, because because right now the conversation is okay. He's bottom in these three, you know, or for whatever metrics he's bottom 10. How could he possibly make the jump? Tomorrow. It's all gonna be about Hey, you know, here's how and in reality, it's five different things, right? You know we are. I tried to break it down. But it's you know, simple. I manipulation which is like a We need a hold of faith year. We need to move this guy. Um, that improved, you know, Week wanted that it does a terrible job of it and the Panthers game. There's a good clip of him doing it. Um, you know, the next up would have been, you know, like more advanced. I manipulation right, which is like the Chargers game where you moved the robber and And that kind of stuff, So we just kind of go, you know, point by point through what you want to see from a year one or two quarterback to justify growth to feel good. First is this. You know you were to play the whole season and we're having the same mistake's each week. That would be something that you would say, Hey, let's go ahead and move on from this kid. Um, so I think that's kind of you know, hopefully to give people some more perspective on You know, especially if all this on the Broncos you know what? Let's fast forward April. What say they don't draft a quarterback? You know, there's you know, there's you want fans understand why and what these guys they're seeing on tape that maybe they're not being on the box score over the TV copy. We got. We often talk about all the ways that Drew has improved on we go over. We talk about the eye manipulation. You know, we make fun of progressions guy. You know, we go through all those kinds of things. What areas does drew specifically need to dial down and focus that you did not see improvement on this year. Footwork. Footwork is number one right, but it's not even necessarily not improvement. It's just We didn't change, right? We we went into that We went into the season with a game plan on what we're gonna do with our feet and it clearly was not working, and we kept with it so What worked for me The number one objective this offseason followed closely by scramble rules. Um, you know, in scramble drill, cause a lot of his went back and looked at all of that all of his interceptions. A lot of them happened off of, you know what do you want to call him? A scramble situation or you want to call them, you know, Hey, you know, it's a flash instinct situation where it's like, OK, someone flashed or You know, I'm getting pressure all the sudden, right. You want to be able to train those flashing things to get your check down or whatever it is, Um well, you know, I would say those really has to be the two objective. The scramble drill, though, to me is a much deeper Aspect of the whole team struggled right, like the receiving corps. They don't like. We don't work hard in our scramble drill, but a lot of that I would be willing to bet I'll be willing to bet it. You know if I had a media credential in to go over to Death Valley, and after Vic Fangio's, I'd be like, Hey, how many times he drew locked in the scramble drill during summer on seven. Hey, probably looked at you like you're stupid. You shouldn't do that, or he looked at you like we haven't done it once. And to me, It's one of those things that you know I'm a huge believer and you know if you have a simple play called in a seven on seven period that we've installed and ran 15 times, let's go ahead and just scramble and see our guys react. You know if you don't back that you ain't gonna get connected, you know well and we didn't execute it. Well, probably the whole season. We would have one guy working at the time. But, you know, turn on any like you want to talk about, you know, everyone's saying, Hey, you know, he's developed like Josh Alan. We'll go ahead and watch with Josh challenges he was doing. He scrambled. It's a different ball game. Now. It's funny..

"Three first rounders four overall justin fields. Sean wade davis sean. Wade davis or late. First round picks chris alive as projected a second round pick is based on pro football focus grades right clemson s three trevor lawrence darin kendrick travis at notre dame only has two one in the first round one outside woo carmo with. I'm sorry the linebacker and then liam aiken berg is projected. Just outside the first round. Tackle that i love that. I've talked about all year. You'll get top. One hundred players bama has nine top one hundred players clemson state six notre dame to have said all along notre dame is the fourth of the bunch when it comes to talent now. They're playing outstanding they're tackling. Well the run games ridiculous. Their offense lines ridiculous but that is the greatest predictor of a national championship. Nfl talent. you can look at any other analytic you want. That's the greatest predictor right. There i told you so. Obama has thirty three percent. Chance better chance than clemson state of winning the national championship. They got thirty three percent. More top tier. Nfl players and people. Say what about gary wilson. There's young guys everyone is young guys. Trust me bama has young guys. that'll be first rounders. I promise next year in a year in two years so that that's the greatest predictor you look at the espn fbi chance to make the playoffs. Bam sitting at ninety eight percent likelihood. I don't know what the other one percent would be. I guess they lose this weekend and lose the florida. Maybe i don't know Obama's at ninety eight percent state is the second highest odds to make the playoffs at eighty five percent notre dame sixty one percent clemson forty nine and a half percent a enam thirty seven percent. Cincinnati twenty two percent. How about this. Indiana seventeen percent florida thirteen percent and then the undefeated usc trojans at twelve percent. Those are the only teams that double digit double digital. It's funny of note that right. Now the analytic say. Indiana has a better chance of making the playoffs in the florida. Gators very interesting right a side note though clemson has twice as good of a chance at winning it all as notre dame based on espn fbi. Clemson has a ten point three percent chance to win. The national title and notre dame has a five point two percent. It just goes to show you that the analytics don't always rely on head to head wins and losses. Because i mean they have a twice a chance. That's wild so i think the playoffs will be as follows. Obviously barring some bullshit. I think the rosebowl be ohio. State notre dame the dream of all dreams the sugarbowl obama clemson. And you talk about. I mean this is a rematch. The the regional i guess. Blue buds and legends legendary teams notre dame ohio state. Play in the rose bowl. Bama clemson in the sugar bowl winner plays in south beach for the natty. Ohio state alabama is my prediction. But i was looking through the the bull matchups. And there's some interesting matchup projections right one of the projections. I saw have had a peach bowl. Cincinnati georgia would be an awesome bowl. Game down elena. The orange bowl miami florida you talk about a a heated heated game going back to week zero when i went down with the big three. Roll up down to orlando at their tailgate. I might have to check that out again. Shut big three. Roll up miami florida and the orange bowl. Fiesta bowl indiana indiana..

"The three lowest graded starters were the three starting Corners. Seven Banks 61% Marcus Williamson, 57% Sean Wade, 53% the lowest rated guy on the defense and Sean watching the film didn't play the ball. Well got beat off three times. We're going to go through in a minute, but he didn't play as bad as people were making out to be. All right John. Send me a couple of spectacular catches, but Sean can play so much better. I mean you're talking about a first-round draft pick he's got to be dominant and he wasn't on Saturday. So I'm sure we'll see a much-improved version of Sean Wade moving forward, but I will tell you this stats can be deceiving and also wage Promise right? Because if you look at it Penn State didn't run the ball well, but when I watched the film I'm like Devin Ford's not he's running the ball decent. He averaged four and half yards-per-carry. But here's what I was fired up to see Mom offense was determined to not let the quarterback run game kill them. Again. Sean Clifford had 10 designed runs for 26 total yards and he had 111 yard run. So that 111 yards long run he outside of that run. He had nine runs for 15 yards. They locked it down shut it down they have to do that the quarterback run game in game one and the playoffs last year killed him. They had to fix that and it looks like they made a great step towards that on Saturday. Let's talk about the defense of line Tommy togiai. We talked about it a little already six quarterback pressures. Number one in the country for any damage jackals for quarterback hurries. Two sacks four tackles six stops. He and Haskell Garrett are a force and if this keeps playing out, they should there's no way there's a better interior d-lineman in the conference wage. You know, maybe the country with the possible exception is a kid. I saw the other day Iowa's Davion Davion Nixon. I think it's how you say his name. He's been an absolute monster. I caught a couple of clips of him off Sunday. So those are the three best in the Big Ten in my opinion, but the get off by Tommy togiai and Haskell are absurd and here's what I want to talk about this year. So if I'm an interior d-lineman, right, let's say I line up on a guard if that guard pulls the center or the tackle depend on which way he's pulling has to cut me off there..

"What do you think Sean Wade ends up possibly doing And if he does come back or doesn't what were they gain or lose with that guy were in 24, 0. Goodness, you saw what happened against Clemson when he went out? I mean, and he's going to be the alpha dog on the outside. He's a quiet, soft spoken guy, you know, not overly boisterous, but I think if he looks at this analytically, he's played a lot inside an NFL coaches and GMs and evaluate and they know how good he can be. But they want to see him play that outside corner to be that locked down guide the Jeffrey Hokuto Damon Arnett. And to be able to show that you can not only slide inside, you could play some strong safety some nickel corner but being able to have the skill set to go outside, which is where guys get drafted incredibly high. It's where the big money is. So I've talked to his dad. We had a minor show. He's been very vocal in out there, he said. He don't believe, but I think, Sean, I wouldn't say for certain that he's going to come back. But I guarantee that's probably weighing heavy on because he knows It would help him as a player and help his stock and the one that you guys didn't mention about Mr. Why Davis, His father, Duane Davis, more commonly known as Alvin back from the program, and I don't think that that has talked about enough with how unbelievable that is. And then the fact that his grandfather is a Hall of Famer as well. It's absolutely tremendous and his dad was stone hands. Yes. Over that. Just just the movie. He was really stone hands that you don't know what the stone and can you make that you know the rest of your life. And you had nothing to do with that? Well anymore. Hit squad in the house. People interview well sometimes and doesn't mean they're competent or good higher and Michael Drake begins campaigning and pushing and lobbying to get Kevin Warren. The job over Jim Phillips Fast Forward To August Twenty, twenty and Michael. To Swear Him in Kevin Warren Unknown Democrat Michael Drake Known Democrat I mean he donated thousands of dollars to Kamala, Harris Senate campaign in California. Thousands of dollars. So Michael Drake is as liberals they come. He wants president trump out more than anyone as does Kevin Warren So here we are August twenty twenty and the big ten can't play football because they want you the people to believe that Donald Trump is the reason he didn't handle the pandemic correctly he didn't he didn't act swiftly. That is why we can't play football and that's why you need to vote in November. The audacity. We know we know bread president trump's to blame. It's all his fault. That's why we don't have football and Joe Biden we'll fix it all and like I said before I'm not even going to get into politics on this show. Clear evidence facts of what's going on. Don't say it's player safety don't try to tell me that it's it's anything other than eighty percent politically motivated and twenty percent trying to suppress the voices and unity of college athletes right to amateurism keep them amateur. And really excited to bring Randy wait on program here in a minute to talk about that because what they're doing right now I believe has a astronomical impact on the future of college athletics and College Athletes Families just the simple fact that Kevin Warren comes out after the fact and again after he cancelled the season talks about these next couple of months or critical, these athletes need to get get ready to vote and Get Out and vote register to vote, and then he also when asked about his son playing an SEC has the audacity to say, well, we we had a lot of hard conversations we sat down as a family and decided that's what's best for him while robbing the right of Randy weight and his Family Sean Wade and his family for having the same conversation and making the same decision. It's absolutely criminal it's absolutely criminal. Enough about that I promise I'm GonNa move on eventually from that but I have to go through what is going on. I WanNa make sure that this is crystal clear. If you vote to unseat Donald Trump because it college football, you are absolutely just playing right into what the democratic plan has been all along. I'm not saying we shouldn't unseat the guy I'm not saying he should get reelected. I'm just saying if that's rationale you've been severely duped. So, let's talk about what the plan is. As it stands right everyone has plans I mean purdue presented a plan Nebraska you're here in a minute Sean Randy Wade was on a zoom call with multiple schools and their parents association about what their course of action is going to be part of that's going to be a protest on. Saturday. So make makes you check that out eleven am in the Rotunda. but the plan right now as it stands Ohio, state is trying to. Present this plan and Ryan as they've mentioned it, it's been public that they want to start the season in January, not a spring season in the the more I think about it. That's the only. Pseudo. Realistic. Chance of playing two seasons in a year I don't think that that's I still don't think that's smart or safe. This bullshit season in twenty twenty one in the spring or winter will be a jv season. You're going to hear it from Randy wait a minute when I asked him if Sean will play in a January season amongst justin fields and why Davis and everyone else that I believe will not play but you'll hear from him whether Sean will consider that or not in the second half this episode. So how state wants to formally begin practice after Thanksgiving practice all of December when students are home right in a pseudo bubble like environment, right? No students on campus and they'll be able to practice and prepare, and the season would start January first and all the Games will be located in Indianapolis Detroit and Minneapolis in the domes and just wild to think about we could crown a national champion in early January and then watch Ohio state begin their season. Because I. Don't know if you know this or not but they are pushing forward every day. There's new things that come out about schools that are now talking about their fan capacity they're not talking about if they're gonNA play when they're going to play or how they're gonNA play, they're talking about how many people will be allowed to attend the game as fans. So. We just a race all the people that are that are fearmongers in doubters thought this was just a ploy by the south to to you know prolonged the the chances of playing but ultimately would cancel it. We're proving that they were dead wrong always were wrong. These people are pushing forward to play simple as that and they're gonNA play. So it's just Really, a stain in the big ten's underpants. I mean you got skidmarks Kevin Warren in your Britches, and here we are no football in the big ten. So I'm GONNA be curious. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA jump here with Randy on the phone. So we can get his insight into this but I wanted to share that information with you before we got to Randy and. Just kind of let you know where my head was at what I've been hearing and what the I guess. The insiders in the Midwest are saying and they're saying Notre Dame's GONNA play how states not but here get with randy way right now on menace sports. I very fortunate here on Minister Sports have a big big name guest especially, not only just general but considering what's going on right now we have. Randy. Way Sean, Wade's father and a really an an activist almost right now for players advocacy and trying to get these players and families in really you guys heard ray how you doing I appreciate you coming on. The manpreet. Home Man Regular break with you about what's going on this weekend? No doubt. I'm mostly you know I think everyone is watching because this is so paramount and so wild what is going on and so you have been so vocal and you have such a unique unique vantage point right? You had your son was a projected high draft pick came back for one more year of development to try to boost his stock and this mess happens and So I think you have the most unique perspective of anyone outside of maybe one or two other kids that might be in a similar situation but I really want to get to to what happened here with with you go into Chicago and what's went on since then because what what what I understand is this there's a unification of parents going on multiple schools and Parents Association has been very vocal. You have been extremely vocal and I just am curious like all right in your mind as you go through this process, what is the goal? What do you think you guys can get accomplished and how do you think this you uniting with other schools is going to help. So I think, I will call a big Fan Passion. and. It's basically could narrow down everybody go. So we hang an put more pressure on the big team and our university president to see what at what happened and. How could we not just push back for October November? Rain a high. Arrives not while they're. Working. Right absolutely absolutely I mean that I mean I think everyone knows my opinion I, think you know my opinion I don't think this should ever been canceled I think they should have just tested the waters and see how it went and a little anything else. There's if there's an outbreak if it ends up not going well, you cancel it, you pull the plug I don't think pull the plug on something from the front end has there been any communication with either Kevin Warren or Christina Johnson the president of Ohio State amongst, your parents, and you know between the.

Cool thing is not just in Ohio state movement it is becoming a regional movement which I believe soon, would become a national movement and that is players and their families uniting and realizing the power that they have and really excited to talk to Randi here about the protests Chicago the protests coming up. Saturday, at eleven am in the Rotunda Horseshoe which he is going to urge all of Buckeye nation to come out to and also talk about just the general consensus amongst the parents and also the prospects of a spring season will Sean Wade play will his which is his son we'll justin fields play what does he think of that plan and that I, Guess Alternative or? Nugget I guess for some players the JV season as I'm calling, it also want to talk about the more and more that I've learned about this decision and why it happened. And also what what is the plan now state is presenting a plan to the big ten on a I. Guess Winter Season it's not even a spring season, which is honestly the only way. You could possibly justify playing both seasons in the same calendar years to start one January first and maybe even push back the fall season, but it'll be interesting to see what happens Saturday about this episode but enough previewing the episode less get to the show. "Of course, we're not going to play in the fall. It's going to be is in the spring. Is Sean done because I I certainly wouldn't I almost would advise him to because of the NFL draft situation. Is it fall for him or it fall opens up. He will play. If it stays in the spring, he will not play. Where is Shawn at in terms of his decision making I mean, if they followed with place, saying he won't play and the funny thing about it is we made a comeback. Funny thing about his mom had, you know, just intuition. It seems like that was funny about this. I think you should go and players out there for your mom. But she had the influential he thought it was about, you know, talk and all this kind of stuff. Not really about the painting. That's kind of, you know, hey knows the fact that his baby they complain and stuff like that, and that's wrong. But he did everything he could He He gave it his all He don't wanna go to the sea and you don't wanna go anyplace He graduated. He went to finish the book that I always will, but he'll be thinking of you could deal with this. He's ready to move on his legacy, you know, paying defendant NFL and and staying there? Well, I commend you on what you're doing in the way you've organized not only Ohio State parents, but parents across the big 10. And good luck to you on Friday with this that is Randy Way the father of Sean Wade again, organizing the protest a peaceful protest. At Big 10 headquarters again, Kevin Warren. The commissioner may not even be there. But it's the president's and the sight of it that they just basically want better communications from the Big 10 and whether it means football comes back or not for the fall. That's not the point. The point of it is to get a better communication with the athletes and the students. We thank Randy wait here on 6 10 W TVM. Traffic.

Smith, thank you for joining me on a start off addressing the doomsday man that I am right the dramatic doomsday man that I am the judging. Social Media. I just want to let you know I feel for the players that are done. I mean you think about some of these stories, just guys that are personal to me, and there's a countless number of them. If you're a fan of Michigan, your fan of Penn State, you're a fan of Notre Dame and not Notre Dame yet. But if you're a fan of some of these mid West schools. You have those stories right those guys that sacrificed maybe came back wanted one more shot at it. I look at Sean Wade Guy would have been what at worst a second round pick Probably eight to ten million dollars lost in this last calendar year to come back and try to help his team, win a championship, and possibly increase his draft stock all for what why it Davis First, team all American comes back to try to be the number one guard off the draft board for what? And then the one I really think about we're going to listen to his words right now is a guy like Jonathan Cooper who has a fourth year senior gets dinged up. The option to come back at the end of the year? Maybe play the last two games in the postseason with his teammates. But foregoes those games too so that he can still get his red shirt to participate in a fifth year full season for his own future try to have joe borough year right go from a lower end draft pick to a high draft pick try to increase improve his life. He decides to come back hindsight being twenty twenty what an awful decision. And I feel terrible for them. because. That's a grown ass man right there I know him really well a grown man. and. I don't know if he would have made an impact I would say this one of your best defense events in a close game against clemson where the quarterback kind of had his way running the running around I would think coop would had quite an impact. So now you can almost chalk up a trip to the national championship game for Ohio State to this bullshit also. Obviously. Quite a jump and AH jumping to a conclusion or or quite a guess. Who knows how it would have played out but I promise that could've used him and probably this. Coupe right now is just sick that he didn't get to play in those games. Knowing what would come so I want to let him talk. About what they've done the sacrifices they've made before this bullshit shutdown. This is me personally i..

"DC significant savings there Let's finish up with some talk about the the Games from Saturday first of all. LSU Is a juggernaut. What a performance from Joe Borough I mean are you kidding? Me Seven touchdown passes in the first half for Joe Borough four hundred three yards and seven touchdowns and a half All sorts of records set by borough who really to me looks in has looked like the real deal. You know. He's a an off schedule. All machine he so good off schedule so good at creating more time And he's tough and he's competitive. I think he's going to be the number one. Pick in the draft. I think he'll get picked by Cincinnati. I think they'd be insane not to pick him It was a blowout win with one one controversial moment. It's hard to say that there's controversy in a game that ended sixty three to twenty eight but There was a A play with Lsu you Up Twenty one to seven and Oklahoma's on the move in Oklahoma got a chance now to sort of keep pace. You know you you gotta hang in there and if you if if you had Oklahoma plus the fourteen or whatever he ended a planet at. I didn't I didn't play that I played some in Game Action Oklahoma and lost that but If you thought that Oklahoma could get moving and have a chance there was a pass interference call on third down In that game where. The receiver was literally tackled by the defender. And it wasn't called. It would have been a first down. Oklahoma would have been on the move continued to be on the move. And who knows you. You know twenty one fourteen there. Maybe it's a different game. Ultimately it was forty nine to fourteen at halftime sixty three to twenty eight. So certainly wasn't GonNa make a difference in the the actual outcome in the game. It may have made a difference in the score Man Oklahoma in the big twelve. I mean it's just it's like college. Football is the SEC SEC. Clemson and Ohio State. You know I still think teams like Florida state in southern cal and Other SEC teams teams. That haven't really been in the playoffs. Like you could see resurgence there. I don't know about the big twelve man. They just for whatever reason you got you. You know a the best. You're going to get from Oklahoma and it's not even close and you know what Ohio state would have done. The same thing to them. Clemson would have done the same thing to me we. We didn't matter her about the match up. Then we get to The nightcap on Saturday night Clemson and Ohio state in the Fiesta Bowl in the other semi-final what a great football football game. It's a game that had it all had great plays. It had great players. It had a legendary drive at the end by Trevor led by Trevor Lawrence. It had bad calls calls. It had questionable calls it had head-scratching replay reviews all of which ended up being game. Impacting game influence in influencing The difference though in the game from my mind's eye from the jump and if you were on Ohio state and I gave out his smell test pick and you were rooting for Ohio State to win that game name. You knew early on that. They were not taking advantage of the dominance that they had in the first quarter and a half of that game. They dominated Clemson Timpson. I think ultimately they just appeared to be the better team for much of the night but the opportunity to bury clemson early. was there it. It was absolutely there. They had five trips inside the red zone in the first half against Clemson and kicked three field goals. JK Dobbins running back dropped two touchdown passes right so you had five trips into the red zone. Sixteen points not good enough not good enough. They blew an opportunity to be up. No less than twenty four to nothing somewhere around there and at twenty four to nothing had they converted verdict had Dobbins not dropped the touchdown passes. That's pretty hard for Clemson to overcome and Clemson's championship. Grit was on display all night long especially especially towards the end of the first half where you know they got a huge huge break down. Sixteen nothing on a third-down Miss There was a targeting. Call on Wade Sean Wade There D be who hit Trevor Lawrence helmet-to-helmet they call targeting. After the incompletion walked off fifteen yards and with that wade was out of the game and Clemson was on their way to a touchdown that made the game. Sixteen to seven. If you're watching that game in context you know how big of a call that is because if they're off the field there again then Clemson with about four minutes. It's three minutes to go in the first half likely not gonNA score before the end of the half Certainly not going to score twice. which is what ended up happening And and going to the break sixteen fourteen and a gain that they were dominated in look the the targeting rule in college football I think it needs work. Ah Sean Wade was it. Technically targeting a foul because it was helmet to helmet. Yes but Trevor Lawrence is a six foot. Five inch quarterback is ducking his head. Ah Helmet simultaneously. Should this dude had been tossed for that. No you've got to at least fix it in college football whereby when when we don't see something truly agree GIS and almost accidental. which that was you? Don't toss the player who's a big loss. They attacked his replacement placement on the next play. Got A big. Pi Call Deep Into Ohio state territory and from there got on the board was sixteen to fourteen. It was a hell of a game. There was a lot to it. You know that Ohio state adjust fields had two interceptions in the game. A couple of bad ones they had a roughing the punter penalty That extended in a clemson drive in that second half and it was interesting about that. Roughing the punter was a terrible terrible mistake bio is state. But the truth is I the Guy I just didn't lay out for the punt. If he had reached his arms out and really leaped in in went after it. I think he would a blocked it. It was very close is to being a blocked punt in that in that in that spot And then you had The Jeff Okuda play unjust and Ross. You know he hits. Ross Ross has the balls taking multiple steps Okuda strips him bog. It's picked up a return for touchdown and and they overturned the call and say that it was an incomplete pass. I don't know what completing the process of the catches anymore. After that one it appeared to me that the guy took three steps. It's certainly appeared to me that it was very debatable. On the call. You know it was a debatable. Call the call. On the field was touchdown fumble touchdown down the fact that they overturned it. I really thought was was was was bad The Explanation by the referee in the booth was essentially that they only look at those plays in real time replaced speed and its feet you know being in bounds or balls hitting the ground that they slow it down on replay and everybody you know on twitter. got a reaction to that. When it's like wait a minute so you're going to replay but you're not going to use the Slo Mo replay? You're just GONNA show it in fast motion like the call on. The field was seen in fast motion. If you'RE NOT GONNA use replay to slow it down to see what's the point of it. It was it was an utter crazy Explanation but he ended up getting a right 'cause they overturned or they the referee in the booth. Got It right on the broadcast. Got It right while both Chris Valor Valor and Kurt herbstreet were insisting that they thought there wasn't enough there to overturn it and they thought they had seen football moves multiple steps with the ball ball in possession before it was stripped and return for score. That was a rather big play In the football game Ultimately though Ohio state really he has nobody to blame but themselves they had a chance early to blow out Clemson to blow them out of the building and they didn't take advantage of it and Clemson that final drive down twenty three to twenty one in Ohio statement. I my personal belief with eleven minutes to go when they scored twenty two twenty one. I think they should've go to their they didn't And many of you some of you pointed al You know they were going for a touchdown there to win the game at the end. It could have been to tie it you know. Well Yeah but more importantly clemson could have been position to potentially kick a walk off field goal. You know at the end of a game you gotta you gotTa think in terms of how many possessions are there really left in the game and after Ohio State decided not to go for two. They only had two possessions. Left in the game had a chance on a fourth and four. You're at the CLEMSON thirty nine with three minutes to go to go for it and win the game right there. They punted it back. And then Trevor Lawrence man what a dry four plays ninety ninety four yards. That dude is the number one. Pick in the twenty twenty one draft He really showed the kind of champion he is. I I love Travis Etienne also think he's a hell of a back and It was a great game with great players on the field but a classic with Clemson yes and holding on twenty nine twenty three justin fields throwing that interception on that final drive into the end zone on the miscommunication with Chris. Alavi So now you get Clemson. LSU LSU now up to a six point favorite in the national championship game opened. I saw three and a half four. Some tell me a couple people told they Did Not see three and a half four that they saw an open at four and a half five. I thought I saw an open at three. And a half four. It's up to five and a half six now. LSU favored by And clemson you know Dabo swinney man lol Clemson as he likes to make him out to be Is in the national championship chip game again and he can play the no respect. You know card because they're an underdog again to Lsu and they're a good team. Amen Lsu Clemson and Ohio State all three exceptional football teams this year. looking forward to that national championship game lastly before I go The Maryland Basketball one yesterday they beat Bryant For you TERP fans out there. They the two twins McCain McKell Mitchell are transferring they Put their names into the transfer portal lot of controversy around this the mothers. There's tweeted out stuff. That's anti margin. I can only tell you this that I had been hearing for a while. That there was some disruptive Issues going on with the team that there was. You know some chemistry issues with the team. I think both of our talented I certainly think The higher rated of the two Number Twenty One Could feet good hands. Good talent looks to me like he's going to be a good player They went to four high schools in four years. Something like that Sometimes you know you've got to make a tough call and you know I as Maryland Fan. I'M NOT QUESTIONING The coaching staff on this one at all at all. I don't know the details. I've heard the details from one side. Okay so To me there's always you know his side his side and then the truth somewhere in between but I my sense of it was is that there was definitely some Issues among On that team team and that they feel like they may have gotten a better chemistry situation Now that the twins are gone. Wish him the best of luck I think they're talented And I I hope they figured out elsewhere Maryland meantime debut troll Marielle the seven to guy who was out with. You know Nia shoes news and and leg issues and I'll tell you what at seven two yesterday. In his first action to me he played confidently Ended up playing in the game Fourteen minutes had six points five rebounds. A block shot He's definitely an impact. Player is a rim for rim-protector with his length than size on the thing that I liked about him. I didn't know much about him. I I heard you know it was going to be more likely than not. The guy wouldn't be a significant contributor this year because of the injuries and getting to it much later than than everybody else but what I saw there was a guy that looked healthy and looked confident and looks like he. It could be an impact player for them. The rest of the year The schedule now turns to the big ten. They get Indiana who lost Arkansas. Yesterday to get Indiana at home on Saturday and then they play Ohio state who lost their second game of the year yesterday to West Virginia Okay that's it no. Oh as I'm sitting here finishing up the podcast for the day there is no other updated redskins news that I'm seeing It looks like it's going to be Ron Rivera and again I'm not unhappy about that. At all. Always liked him as a head coach..

"And I felt the same way my first interview when about with Brown family and Blackburn's get token that they fit that mold at the people that we had grown accustomed to and short time that we were here. They were the types of people that that we always felt we were closest to all the stops every tad. And so, you know, for us, we place a hundred priority on the people that will have the around that we work with you know, in order to get this thing done the right way. And so that was that went along ways for me, and for my wife, you know, support them our family's happy. And so I'm happy that it's all worked out for us. You brought up your wife, Sarah, who is for those who don't know the daughter of the former Packers. Hey, coach, Mike Sherman. What is the thing that you've? Learned from your father in law. Well, I've learned a lot. It's it's difficult to pinpoint one thing. You know, really voice that he just mean often is just be yourself. Don't try to be the coach that you think people expect you to be just be true to yourself. And it's got me this far, and it will continue to carry your heart away. Just seeing you know, the standards that he said I coaching staff is players, but disappointed that he's always had this programs. You know, and he's always trusted in. You know, I've always I've always felt an obligation as when you're father in small hires young ta techs Saint him that the perception is well, well, he just got hired because he's family. So you've always felt that there was some expectations. You need it to exceed in order to gain everybody's trust. And the same token once you try to see those expectations. You know, you gain the trust because he knows he knows. I'm not gonna go anywhere. I've got his best interest. And I want to see him succeed. So with that trust became a little bit more responsibility. That helps you celebrate coaching pass a little bit more than maybe. Would have done otherwise. And I don't people always have this perception of coaches, hiring their kids and families and all that. But oftentimes it works out the reverse. You know, you get guys that are that want wanna work harder because they wanna prove themselves, and they want to earn that trust. And they want continued grew quickly as a coach and that was my experience with my trim. That's what happened with you there. So that's what you've learned from your father in law. Mike sherman. What about what you've learned from two other men that you just left from the organization, you left with Sean McVay and Wade Phillips, what did you learn from them, well showing the way that he treated ever been doing, you know, he had a vision for person, you know, and you always felt you always felt that your opinion mattered. And so he was able to get the most others coaching staff because the way they interacted with them in the players on a daily basis, and with Wade Wade has of experience and at the same time he can relate to the point that he got more Twitter swag the gate, but on a soft, and they're so Wade Wade insist on the way to connect, you know, over the course of his career with the players. And so when you see a coach this demanding of his players is sound scheme. But he's found a wing connected. Get the most out of those guys that that combination from Sean Wade was something that was really fun to watch valuable organization. We bring up Sean, and he became the youngest coach ever to coach in a Super Bowl. And I think that he removed the stigma from hiring a young head coach you're now thirty five years old..
