"Boom had 16.6 boards, 5 assists, Colby Jones had another really good game as well. And marquette, there's no shame in losing. They played well. Xavier had the home floor. With Providence getting beat by crate now, Xavier is the only team without a scratch in the lost column and conference play there. But the musketeers will be ranked in the top ten when the polls were fresh on Monday and I don't have a list of the 5 biggest stories for you right now in front of me, but Sean Miller returning and immediately getting Xavier through the midway point of the season to top ten status in the country is one of the 5 biggest stories in college basketball. He's been there before. He's one of the most well-known coaches. He's one of the most accomplished coaches to not make a final four but has made multiple elite 8 runs, including with Xavier. And my God, what a way to announce your return, I was just really impressed. It was an awesome game. It was a fun second watch alongside dolphins bills earlier on Sunday. So I don't know if you've got any thoughts. But those are the two biggies games of note and credit to what X has been able to do here. Now they've got to play more on the road. I understand that. A lot of people are ready to maybe slightly fade the muskies a bit. I get that. They've got more challenging stuff coming down the road. But to this point, with all they've done, I think that they are operating as a top ten team, even if you tell me, even if they don't have a top ten resume at this point. I mean, I'm not sure they don't have a top ten resume at this point. I've got them 7, then the top 25 and one. I mean, at some point, at some point, you are what your wins and losses say you are. They're pretty strong. Kim pump for what it's worth now Xavier to finish 15 and 5 in the big east. Win the league. Outright by one game. So that sure would be something. Sean Miller comes back to Xavier and in year one wins an outright biggie's title. The computers or at least one computer seems to think that in this moment is a likely scenario to some other notable results from the weekend from different conferences. Arizona lost by 19 at Oregon didn't see that coming. TCU Kansas state by 14 NC state beat Miami in overtime, I've got the wolfpack in the top 20 of the top 25 and one now. Providence lost its first biggest game at creighton, San Diego state. This was a little surprising, lost at home, to New Mexico. If you have any thoughts on those results or anything else from the weekend, this would be the place to provide them. Let me send it right back. You team me up, I want to tee you up. What's the one that you feel most compelled to discuss? Or do you think is the most notable of the ones that you just mentioned? I don't think TCU Kansas state really means anything. I still think Kansas state's good. I just think that was a road game against another really good big 12 team and that's going to happen to you sometimes. Unless you're Kansas, then it never happens to you. But I mean, it does sometimes, but you get the point. I think Arizona losing by 19 at Oregon was the one that created the biggest headline because the rockets have now lost two of their past three and both of the losses are the sub 60 Kim pom things. It's Oregon in Washington state. And so Arizona has now got this weird resume. They got big wins, or at least a big win. They beaten Tennessee, full strength creighton, Indiana, San Diego, state, but they've lost a three sub 60 teams. Utah, Oregon, and Washington state. So what do you make of that inconsistency? Because that is, that is a resume that screams inconsistency. Yeah, how about that? Arizona right now has three losses to conference foes. All of them unranked. They've got a game against akla coming up here that's big. You see all you have to lose and league play. And so the fate of their chances to win the conference actually rests later this week. Arizona is winning games. Man, I wanted to credit the someone on Twitter told this to me. I will how about this if I put this in my I don't have the handle right now, but if I use this in my power because on Thursday I'll track down the tweet and I'll be credit for it. Arizona's winning margin is 16.5 points in losses it's losing by 15.7. You want to talk about polarizing. It's either killing teams or getting destroyed. Weird stuff, man. I don't know. I don't really fully have an answer for this. Jermaine cuisinart had 27 points. The South Carolina transfer. And he didn't even play the first 14 games of the season because of injury. He had 6 triples in this one to go alongside and follow Dante, who almost knocked Kirk Kris out of our known universe with that dunk in that game. Oh God, that was bad. Top 5 dunk of the season so far. That was real, but that was running. I just hate that it got over. I don't hate, but it got overshadowed. It got overshadowed. By John. Oh boy, do you see that? Ferocious. I did see it. And I also saw the fact that John Moran had logged a dunk against every team in the league, except his own Memphis. And then Indiana, and then low and hall against Indiana. He's like, I'm going to knock this off the checklist in the most dynamite way possible. Just unbelievable. He's so in the highlights. I won't be surprised if like in a late season game against the spurs that they've already got in control. He just decides to dunk on Steven Adams. Just says, you know what? Let me get a dunk on against the grizzlies real quick. Steve, Steve-O. Steve-O, go stand in the lane. Let's get on the lane and let me punch one on you. Only someone at Memphis, right? That would be incredible if anything like that ever happened. Dante, his dunk reminded me, even though he's much bigger than the Tom chambers dunk from the 80s there. He had Dante 22 and ten and duck shot 54 percent from the field. Arizona just has some issues on defense. And it's always going to be an offensive first kind of team under Tommy Lloyd which isn't to say that he doesn't want them or they can't be really proficient defensively, but they've lost something there. And so yeah, they have gone from this team is one of the two or three most enjoyable teams to watch in the country and a final four contender to suddenly like let's just figure out what's going on.

"And. Then I'm gonna inside an insurrection. Okay. All right, let's go. First game. Game one, Saturday, new Easter. Number two, Yukon at number 22, Xavier inside the Pete gillan center. You can watch it on Fox. Kim pom has it. Yukon -6. How about this game? Tasty. We've got a big time New Year's Eve Saturday situation with a good college soup slate. And then obviously the CFP semifinals I'm gonna make parish pick those games against the spread before we get out of here as well. This is the highest ranked team to visit centas. Since 2016, 17, Xavier's 11 three three now in the big east just got to win on Wednesday night at St. John's 84 79. Did you happen to watch some of that game? It was all access the mics Ron throughout. We had it. We had it on in the CBS sports bra in the CBS broadcast center. We have like 12 TVs in the green room. We call it the bullpen where we sit in between going out to set. So we have everything on, but we typically only have audio on our game, unless our game gets really, really lopsided. So I was, I had the visual of Sean Miller, miked up, but I did not hear any of it, although I gather it was quite a full. First of all, Xavier was never like outright threatened, the one St. John's kind of made it close. I almost wish Xavier had actually been trailing through some. So like because Miller eventually in the second half, he just the filter went off and then was just I'm not going to repeat what he said. And I can't mimic the tone, but he's like losing his voice as high pitched. He's like, you got to get F and back. You got to get in the time model. There were no time TV timeouts. So at every at every media timeout, you just went inside the huddle and the oh, by the way, the difference in tone and vibe between Miller running. They'd have like Miller like sweat dripping off his chin. He's just like, he's just fired up. He's into it. He's barking out orders to his guys there and they're up and they're in a good mood and it's lively. And then they do the hard cut to St. John's. And it'd be like, it'd be like a Wes Anderson film. It would just sit in there. No one was talking. I found it hilarious. I don't know. I guess that's just me. Xavier hosting UConn in a big, big time spot. Xavier, by the way, leaves the country assist per game. 21.1, and is one of the better shooting teams in the country. Actually, is the best shooting team in the big east at this point and it's got 5 players averaging double figures. Give me that line one more time. Ken pom has it. UConn -6. I can not take Yukon with that line. Look at me save your straight up, man. You can't have been good. Number one in my power rankings. Number one in your rankings. Right? No, no, produce number one. Okay, well I'm a boiler maker. Let's not even start that. And so

"Ten top 15 in the country. I just feel like if you listen to the podcast, you may be know about them if you're a die hard Memphis fan, you know about them. But I feel like he's still, you know, he's doing even a bit more amount of love here and moving forward. Hopefully he gets that because you can make an argument he's been an all American level player kind of this season and with Bama I'm just impressed that they do it with the amount of youth they have. Brandon Miller was great again and they've been able to get those young guys to step in and play big. Now they don't have namari Burnett for the foreseeable future because of his injury. Maybe that winds up being an impact overall. But yeah, good group in Alabama is not the team that was a season ago. Remember last season could beat anybody could lose to anybody. One of the most polarizing resumes in the country and because of that, you know, wound up in 19 games and then was a one and done getting toppled by Notre-Dame. This group a lot more composure, very impressive what NATO has done so far this season and they will be a factor throughout can't wait for that Gonzaga in this Saturday. That'll be yet another one we'll preview on the Friday episode. Okay, I didn't hear a lot of what you said because you froze up. Yeah, my hold on, my Wi-Fi dropped out, but I was just cruising through it because I knew it was coming back. So if you're listening to the pod and you missed me in gaps there, apologies, Wi-Fi did drop out, but I came back in and I was doing some filler on Kendrick Davis as I waited until I reconnected. It wasn't completely clear to me whether you were frozen or I was just getting a bad connection. So I just said hair and I just sort of swayed the way I normally do and acted like I was listening, but I didn't hear a thing you said. I know you mentioned Kendrick Davis though. He has been terrific. He's now averaging 19 and a half points, 4.9 assists, 4.0 rebounds for the tigers. He's gone big and back to back games. He's got 27 in the win over auburn 30 against Alabama. And he's obviously the star of what is a quality Memphis team. You know, one of the frustrating things in the frustrating parts from Memphis fans during the penny Hardaway era has been that you've got all this talent, but they don't seem to play together. They don't seem to like each other. They're not always on the same page. And you got the feeling sometimes. At least when they were going through bad stretches, that the team was not as good as its individual parts suggested it should be. And this team is completely opposite. There's no lottery pick

"And if it turns out to be an erroneous report and that certainly what appears to be the case, then, you know, then you react differently. And slave ball's reputation has been damaged by that. I haven't looked at his Twitter mentions today, but I bet if you did, they'd be filled up with Arizona fans. So I don't say this because I like Mark. He and I sort of came up together in this profession. I consider him a friend. But it appears that he messed that up. And him messing that up, it didn't set in motion, all of the things that got Sean Miller ultimately removed as Arizona's coach. Because take the Deandre Hayden stuff set it aside, quite clearly there was still some stuff happening in that program that would get most coaches fired. But that story did set in motion a series of reactions that undeniably damaged Sean's reputation. And that's another price that he paid. And that's one that, frankly, at this moment, it seems seems unfair. I would agree with that. I remember many, many people calling for Sean Miller, including some on television, that Saturday. Sure. To be fired. And I remember saying on this podcast because I believe it was single sourced. I remember saying, unless I have literally heard the transcript or I have obtained a copy of the transcript with official markings on it, I would be unwilling to go with that, but nonetheless, here we are. And finally, this portion of that story is over. But the FBI adjacent stuff still is not, will not be resolved until 2023 with Kansas and LSU. Can't wait for those. Let's move on to basketball stuff. Alabama beat Memphis late Tuesday to improve the 9 and one Brandon Miller is awesome again. We'll talk about the crimson tide next. But first a word from our partners. You do it all, like being a boss exec to Tuesday tennis to the kids homework, and you do it all in style. That's why we created the all new infinity QX 60. A luxury SUV with features like a panoramic moonroof and available massaging front seats to bring ease every day. The all new infinity QX 60 designed to take on life and style. "Not. It said he cooperated and the group determined that he was not going to be punished because the IRP looked at everything here and said, we don't think that Sean Miller failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance. We don't think that's the case. We disappoint you there. Let me stop you there. As somebody who knows this sport, much better than the people on this hearing panel, understand the support. Can you with a straight face? Let me make sure I'm distinguishing between two things. You want to say, we can't prove Sean Miller did anything. With any of these recruits, players, academic stuff, nothing. We don't have anything on Sean Miller. That's one thing. I'll accept that. Sean Miller promoted an atmosphere of compliance. Can you say that with a straight face? I am telling you what the IRP said here in this report. I know what they said. I already mentioned what they said. I'm asking you. Can you say with a straight face? Sean Miller promoted an atmosphere of complaint. I mean, I can't accuse him of not doing it because I wasn't in that athletic department of this offices. Let me tell you what every coach in America will tell you. That if you truly promote an atmosphere of compliance, your assistants aren't going to be doing the things that Sean Miller's assistants are doing. Your assistants are only going to do those things if they feel like on some level they are under pressure to get the job done no matter what. That's what coaches will tell you. Yeah, that's fine. And sometimes that's absolutely right. Coaches also absolutely love to gossip about stuff they might not know anything about. So I'm not going to just take coaches words over something when they might not know entirely. That could be right about this, but I'm not going to take it as gospel. I was surprised I bring this up because I was surprised the IRP actually did this and turned around and said, actually, after going through all this stuff, we disagree with the NCAA's assertion. We actually do think that Sean Miller promoted an atmospheric compliance. And didn't let his two assistant coaches knowingly go rogue at his discretion. So I didn't I didn't I'm more inclined to side on your side of this GP, but I didn't think I'd see that in this report today. That was actually the most surprising thing that came about it with me. And that is why Miller is not sitting any games. I did think he was going to get suspended. I thought it would be three to 5 games. I'm not surprised at nothing, but my expectation when I woke up this morning and learned we'd be getting the verdict on this. I actually thought that he'd be sitting and it was just a question of what they actually do effective immediately or start at next season, but it doesn't matter. He's going to coach Xavier this weekend and he's dodged anything and everything. It is quite the my goodness. It is quite the tour of vindication right now for Sean Miller. And I don't know how much he will ultimately talk about this on the record. I'm sure certain part of him is really eager and anxious in wanting to, but another point can't actually once and for all, I guess put it behind him. So I don't know, we'll wait and see, but it is undeniably a major victory for him. And on the same level for Arizona, even though people around Arizona were more expecting along the lines of what they got today. Keep in mind, this is the same body that concluded that penny Hardaway gave James wiseman's family $10,000 because he's a philanthropist. As opposed to because he wanted the number one ranked high school center in the country on his high school basketball team at east high school. My point is they don't know what they're doing. They don't understand the sport. Penny Hardaway has thrown around money for a million good reasons. You know, throughout his life. So by definition he is a philanthropist, but that ain't that ain't why he gave the money to James weisman's family. He gave the money to James weisman family to get him to move to Memphis. So James wiseman could play on his high school basketball team. That wasn't philanthropy. That was buying a high school basketball player. And again, if the hearing panel came out and said, we got nothing on Sean Miller. And his assistant coaches wouldn't cooperate. We wanted to ask them about him. They wouldn't talk to us about I got you. That's all fine. I'm just saying, we don't, we actually believe some of them was promoting an atmosphere of compliance. It seems like, come on, man. When you've got assistance running around doing the things they were doing, and you're on the phone on the record with Christian Dawkins. That's not really promote. It's not promoting an atmosphere of compliance. That's simply not. Are you ready to are you ready to hand down? How many games for Sean Miller for me right now? How many times zero? I don't care. I'm just saying, the only thing I care about is like stupidity. Like people being stupid when it comes to this stuff. Again, you can be happy that Sean is getting to move on with his career. Unfazed. And then that's fine with me. I'm happy about that. He has paid a price. I don't think you got to make somebody suffer forever. And it ain't like he killed somebody. He was just running a basketball program that was breaking a lot of rules. But to go, yeah, we feel like this guy was promoting compliance. At this school, when these things were happening, like those two sentences can't go together. All these things happened that Arizona's program, but the head coach was promoting a atmosphere of compliance. Like those two sentences do not go together. That's nonsense. Yeah. And there are definitely people extremely dug in on both sides of this issue. Thank God this is done. And I'm happy it's done like now, and we didn't get this on December 22nd. So a small dose of credit to the IRP for getting another one out of the way well in advance of Christmas, although I will say on a personal note, I was actually planning to maybe get a little I'm behind on the Christmas shopping, man. I actually want to get some of that done today. Got both the kiddos at school. This is eating up in a large part of my afternoon. That's a me problem. I'll move on. But yeah, so it's done. I got nothing else on this. So it's all you. You know, there's some, I've seen some of this today. You go back and look at some of the initial reactions to what you were talking about because I do think that story broke on a Friday night. That's what it feels like to me. You know, when Mark Schlein, let's put a name on it. Marks laud ESPN, reported that Sean Miller had more or less bought Deandre 8. And that it was caught on a wiretap. That's the important detail. Right. And that him talking about that was caught on a wiretap. That was never proven to be the case and that never came up in court documents or in the interplay stuff. So that initial report that stated that was never proven to be materially true. That is absolutely true where we are right now. And so you're going to have a lot of people digging up old things that somebody tweeted or we wrote or said. But you got to remember in that moment. This is a reputable reporter at a reputable media company reporting that Sean Miller has bought Deandre ayton and it's on a wiretap. So you react to that in the way you react to that, right? And if it turns out to be an erroneous report and that certainly what appears to be the case, then, you know,

"But I would ask the question, what is the point of going through all this stuff? If when it's over, the judge and jury, the IRP, just basically says, you know what? Let's move on. Everything's cool. Again, I don't really care, but it all seems undeniably silly. And like a huge waste of time, money, everything. As for Sean Miller, you know, like I said, he's already paid a big price. Reputation, damaged, lost the Arizona job. He's paid a price. So don't let anybody tell you, Sean Miller got off Scot free because that's simply untrue. But what is true? Is that he was not punished by the IRP on Wednesday. And the explanation for that. The hearing panel said, is because they determined that they found no violation for Sean Miller because he quote demonstrated that he promoted an atmosphere of compliance and monitored two of his assistant coaches. Now, with all due respect, that's outrageous. Like when your assistant coaches are breaking, recruiting rules and academic rules and lots of rules. You know, while you're developing a relationship with Christian Dawkins, you're quite clearly not promoting an atmosphere of compliance. Like what you're promoting is an atmosphere of, let's do whatever we need to do, whatever we gotta do to get the job done. And I don't say that to be mean. I just say it because it's true. We don't have to play stupid here. So I have no idea how the IRP could sensibly reach the conclusion that Sean Miller promoted in atmosphere of compliance. That's laughable. But congrats to Sean Miller and every other coach dealing with. Cases. Because the truth is you might be right, that if not for the self imposed postseason ban, Arizona would have been hit with a postseason band today. You might be right. But I'm not sure of that. And the reason I'm not sure of that is because the IRP has shown no interest whatsoever in punishing anybody. That's the real lesson here. So good for Sean Miller, and if you're Bill self, you've got to be encouraged by what you keep watching with all of these RP cases. That's really the big question that lingers from this is the fact that Miller is no longer at Arizona. They self imposed Kansas has never self imposed. Curtis Townsend and Bill sells are still there. When it comes to Kansas, Miller had one level one at his feet, self and that program has 5. And a lot of the violations here in the Arizona stuff were exacerbated by former assistants refusing to cooperate or misleading investigators in the case. Those guys did get hit there. So we'll see. I don't think it's still totally apples to apples, but I think it is fair if you are a fan of Kansas and sure toss in LSU as well, I guess in this. To have more optimism as more of these cases rolling, that's a fair takeaway. I'm not going to sit here and declare that when the Kansas stuff comes out whenever that is that Bill self is going to Dodge any kind of suspension and Kansas that's going to Dodge any kind of significant punishment. I will not sit here and predict that to be the case. But if you want to think like, man, it certainly seemed like it's more likely. I do think that's fair. I also, on the note that you just mentioned there, I couldn't help but notice the fact that when the notice of allegations came out and you're right, it's been a long time. If we had been able to and I don't want to flashback, trust me. But if you go back to September 17, when all this comes out, and then you go back to man, that Thursday, it was a Thursday I think, Thursday, or Friday. When the ESPN report came out, claiming the Deandre ayton Payton, which by the way, on the never say with a 100% certain, it didn't happen. There's been no evidence to that ever. And that is something that Miller publicly and privately has just slammed the table on, continuously, and quite clearly, with no evidence, no reference to that in the case here, that looks to be an erroneous report, but when that came out, if I had told you, GP, if we had done that podcast, then a Genie appeared before me and said, hey, just so you know, it's going to be a long time before this thing is done. But Sean Miller, he's going to, he's not going to have any punishment from this. Now he did again. He technically did get fired. So he did face some retribution. It's just wild to think back on the temperature and the tone of the Arizona stuff in particular and where we are now. And with that is backdrop with the NCAA in 2020. In its notice of allegations, again, you know, placing a significant charge at Miller's feet with all of this. You know, saying that you're getting a level one coach control charge because it falls on you, right? The exact wording was the ultimate responsibility for the integrity of the men's basketball program, rested with Miller and his staff's actions and reflect on Miller as the head coach. That is the NCAA's notice of allegations when it leveled the level one charge against him.

It would have been, I <Speech_Male> assumed the last time he <Speech_Male> was coaching at Cincinnati. <Speech_Male> Let me bring <Speech_Male> up huggins real quick <Speech_Male> for your GP because actually <Speech_Male> how long has it been since <Speech_Male> he walked into this? So <Speech_Male> huggins was <Speech_Male> so O <Speech_Male> 5 O <Speech_Music_Male> 5. So if <Speech_Music_Male> let's <Speech_Music_Male> see when they play them that year, <Speech_Male> that was a home, <Speech_Male> wow, here's how this <Speech_Male> has changed though. <Speech_Male> Just brought the schedule. <Speech_Male> There's last season O four <Speech_Male> O 5. This game <Speech_Male> was, I wish <Speech_Male> this was the deal <Speech_Male> now. It's just not going to be what <Speech_Male> the league schedules and TV <Speech_Male> stuff. "Mike young. Very good coach. Good offensive team. Carolina Carolina can win the game, but in this spot with all I've seen. It's now reached a spot where I'm like, all right, I can't pick you and see. You need to show me you are capable of doing this. We have not seen this yet this season. Literally, I've not seen any of this season. Until I see it, I'm not gonna go with the heels and this kind of in this kind of situation. Virginia tech to win. I'm not gonna turn my back. I only keep black. I'm not gonna turn my back on leaky blood. Picking the hokeys doesn't mean I'm leaky, I'm not turning my back on you. Just let you know. You're turning your back on leaky black. That's not something I'm comfortable doing. A couple things I'm not comfortable doing, picking against Grady dick as an underdog. And turning my back on leaky black. So I will insist that the tar heels go to Seth Greenberg coliseum on Eric green court. And I guess technically this would be true. Upset Virginia tech. On Sunday. It's true. True. You got game 5. Offer it up. I will. Just a couple notes before we get to the game 5. Just a few other ones. Saturday obviously a lot of a lot with the college football conference title games. Close to which don't really even carry a lot of weight. Three games to know about. First is a CBS game. Oklahoma at Villanova and how about this quote here? Kyle Neptune earlier on Friday shuts to Jeff newburg, I'm saying your last name right, Jeff. Is affiliate inquirer reporter. Villanova coach Kyle Neptune says cam whitmore is a game time decision tomorrow versus Oklahoma and has been for the last few games. And then he was asked if there's a chance he plays tomorrow. Quote, definitely. There's been a chance for the last week two newborn continues when more returns he will not be a full go. His minister count is obviously to be determined. But that would certainly be an interesting development milanova. It needs to win this game to have almost any chance at an at large case down the way. It's obviously just battling and battling and battling up hill at this point. Nova is two and 5. This is a Wells Fargo situation against a good Oklahoma team in Oklahoma team that's 6 and one. It's only loss. Is to Sam Houston state. So Sam Houston state has been able to take out Utah and Oklahoma and road situations there. Just keep an eye, CBS 1230, America's most watched network. Given the urgency of that Villanova game and I'd love to see cam won't work it out there even if it's for ten minutes. So keep an eye on Big Ten network for eastern. You'll have Indiana at Rutgers. Good game. See how the hoosiers respond? Go on the road. Jersey Mike. Jersey Mike's Jersey Mike's arena. At the rack, of course. And then four 30 eastern on FS1 is Wisconsin at marquette, marquette at home again, coming off the huge Baylor win. A very good annual once a year rivalry interest rate rivalry between inter conference opponents like to see that. So three Saturday ones we're checking in on. And then on Sunday, the only two that we haven't got to saint Johnson can play at Iowa state three clock ESPN2. It's just the first real test for St. John's, which is undefeated, wouldn't expect him to come out of there with a win, but not unthinkable. And then there's actually a quality like to give a little mid major love here on the pod every now and against 8 30 Sunday Night hell will probably be podcasting when this game is happening, but 6 know Utah state is playing at several one San Fran. So a nice mid major matchup between those teams. My game is going to be a Saturday matchup. And it's going to involve West Virginia. Going to play on two Holloway court, my man. Two Halloween. Zip them up. West Virginia at Xavier, it's a 6 30 p.m. eastern tip on Saturday on Fox Sports one on two Holloway court. West Virginia, 6 and one, only lost and Purdue at PK 85. Xavier at this point, 5 and three as played four power conference teams is one in three of those spots as a win over Florida has lost at home and by two points to Indiana and then what's competitive in both games against duke and Gonzaga in Portland. I had a story go up on Wednesday. I was with Sean Miller as the team prepared to play duke. So if you have not read it, please do read it. We'll drop a link to it. You better carve out 23 minutes. You better have 23 minutes of spare time. The time algorithm for reading is inflated. So it's really like a 1617 minute read. I'll just say. Unless you're really moving at a snail's pace there, we'll not take you that long. But yeah, it's half the story is about preparing for duke and locker room scenes and all that stuff and the other half is the Sean Miller angle on it. And, you know, what he did in zero way. And I will say, I was the one that pitched this. I asked Sean two months ago. And he said he most likely be willing to do it. I asked him again, biggie's me today. He said yes. So credit to him for allowing this. It was unthinkable that Sean Miller would allow this kind of all access thing as recently as two seasons ago. So a credit to him for doing that and certainly, you know, they're not a perfect team right now, and I think it would have been easy for other coaches in that position just to say, not yet, not quite ready. But he took a chance and I

"Over top 35 Kim pump teams. Gonzaga has three. And nobody else has that many. So like if you're looking for quality wins right now, Purdue has more than anybody else. Gonzaga has more than anybody except Purdue. Now some of it is, they schedule aggressively the zags do in November December because, you know, they don't have to play an ACC schedule or a big tent schedule or a big 12 schedule from January through March. So they have more opportunities at big wins, but like y'all gotta stop with this whole Gonzaga's not very good thing. And Gonzaga has beaten Xavier has beaten Kentucky has beat Michigan state. And yeah, they've lost to Texas and Purdue, but like Texas, you could reasonably rank right now. Texas and Purdue. Number one and number two in the country. So I'm still I can acknowledge Gonzaga doesn't look like the great Gonzaga teams we've seen in recent years doesn't look like it yet. It may never get there, but like Gonzaga's still one of the ten 15 best teams in the country. And if we've reached a point with that program where if they're only top ten or top 15 as opposed to top 5, we say that they stink, that's kind of crazy to me. The green looking forward to this one, looking forward to your login. Hopefully working. What's next? Game two. Friday 9 p.m. eastern number 16 Illinois at number 22 Maryland inside Melo tremble center. Betting markets have at Maryland minus one and a half you can watch it on. Big to network. I got that channel. I got that channel. These have been two of the more you don't want to get in. I got that general contest with me. I'm not trying to get into it. I'm just letting people know that I got this challenge. Sounds like you're trying to get into a I got that channel contest with me and that's not something I got the impact on that work. So I got everything. Every other channel. I have every other channel in the world, except for the pectoral network. Illinois beaten teams by 24 points on average so far this season. Maryland, 22 points on average, have been blowing most teams out, obviously some of that is by gay material, but not everything. Illinois lost four straight against the Turks as trying to win at Maryland for the first time since 2011. Maryland wasn't even in the Big Ten the last time that happened. It was an ACC Big Ten challenge game. Illinois. How about this one? One ten of its last 13 games on the road in Big Ten. Ten and three. Last 13 times on the big road. In big road competition competition on the road and 15 of its last 19 shouts to Illinois, sports information for that stat. That is a good one. Illinois has been reliable. Terrence Shannon junior has been terrific. He's also, in my opinion, you know, in that all American discussion, first team second team where we want to put them 19.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, only one to 7 players in the country, averaging at least those minimum thresholds. Big time game in this building, the last time a game was this anticipated in that

"When they last did that? Stanford. My man. Look at you. Did I get that? Great call. Right away. So let's raise a glass to me. Great job, GP. Great job. That's the trivia time there. Good on the utes. We'll see what they can develop into. RIP Rick majerus. How did I get that? You're just feeling it here on a Friday morning. Stanford just came out of my mouth. It did. Good job. That's all I got for you. Do you think there's anything to like a Maui hangover? I believe John calipari has said, I believe John calico, now keep in mind, Kentucky's on the other side of the country. But John calipari said I will not take my team to Maui, it's just too much on. It's too far and it's too much. By the way, he's going to London. It's actually London. Oh, let me do that. You talk it out. I'm as the crow flying this right now. Yeah, I would assume Lexington is closer to London than it is Maui, so maybe his point still stands. But it was hard not to notice just notice that creighton and Arizona both came back to the continental United States. And took losses and really, really shut the ball poorly. Like you said, Arizona entered the game averaging 97 and a half points. Only scored 66 at Utah. Shot 35.2% from the field, 14.3% from three. They'll get right this weekend. I would assume because next up for Arizona is a home gaming against cow that's on Sunday cow. Of course, it's zero and 8 with three double digit losses. So that should be an easy slash lopsided Arizona victory, and then after that, the wildcat is going to go to Las Vegas. You mentioned this and play Indiana. Next weekend, Indiana, again, undefeated, coming off a big win over North Carolina. How far is London? Stunner. You're stunner. How far you think it is as the crow flies to Maui from Lexington? Give me a mileage. 45 miles. Come on, man. Give me an actual guess. The only thing I know is number. Higher than 45, higher than 300. Don't say three. We're doing miles from Lexington to London. No, to Maui first, as the crow flies. Which, by the way, there's no crow flying from damn Lexington to Maui, but you get the point. I'm gonna say it's 4000 miles. My friend, I don't have any concept of miles. It's your 4000. Is that your Maui or your London guest? Both. I'm a guest today. Which one? Which one? I think London, I think Maui is 4000 miles from Lexington. I have no idea. I would have said that. Dude, it's 4000 5 miles to London. Okay. It's only two 1172 miles to Maui. Maui is significantly closer. I would have guessed that, I wouldn't have guessed that. But you know what? London, England, it's sneaky north. Like if you ever really look at that map, it's up there. It's up there. Latitude wise? Hi, hi latitude. It's basically the North Pole. That's what people say about London sometimes it's basically the North Pole. It's the North Pole of the United Kingdom. And latitude situation there. How about that though? Impressive. A couple of quick notes before we get to the final four on one. UNC lost, of course, Wednesday night. We'll get to that in the final four and one. They lost at IU. Duke 7 and two, after composed 81 72 win wins the night over Ohio State. Goodwin. Miami health serve to beat Rutgers on Wednesday night. Keynes are now 7 and one where the final team to crack the debut edition of my hey 19 power rankings. Jim Leone kind of quietly getting it done. We'll see. Kansas won easily. 91 65 over seaton hall. That's a small but encouraging sign for KU fins. Just looking to see this main team maintain its top ten reputation, Yukon won again. I have you come in the top 5 of my power rankings, be Oklahoma state on Thursday night, 74, or 64, Jordan Hawkins, 26 points, career high. His third game this season of at least three three pointers down the snow go had 20 as well. Huskies have four straight wins against top 50 competition at camp home. And our ranked fourth at kenpom. It's their best standing in that metric. Since 2009, Kemba Walker's freshman season, times are very, very good right now in stores. And that team is looking like the best team I'm including creighton in this for now. Looks like the best team in the big east. And then lastly, Arizona state, 7 and one. Despite the Bagley noise and unavailability came back from a 15 point halftime deficit to win at Colorado on a Dez Cambridge junior three pointer that he sank on a transition possession with less than three seconds to go. ASU's only loss is by one point at home to Texas southern, big time, big time stuff there, and you know what that means GP. What does it mean? a sun devil. Look at me.

"Arizona played at Utah on Thursday night. It didn't go well. Final score, Utah, 81, Arizona, 66. So the fourth ring wildcats and the Maui invitational champions are now 6 and one with a loss to a Utah team that entered the game ranked outside of the top 60 at Ken pom and a Utah team that had previously lost to Sam Houston state. Listen, nobody likes to lose, especially on the road to an unranked team when you're undefeated and ranked fourth in the AP poll. But if you have to lose, this is exactly the way to do it. If you have to lose, you should lose on the PAC 12 network because then nobody will see it. And so it's kind of like it didn't even really happen. I know the box score says Arizona lost. But I can't tell you for certain it happened. I didn't see it. I don't think anybody else did either. I can report that I did watch it. I do get the PAC 12 network. Nobody gets the pack 12 network. I've got some issues with some other channels. We'll get to that in just a few here. But I do, I'm sorry to report it. I'm one of 15, maybe 20. I know you're, I know you're having issues with it. And you continue to have issues with it. So I went and double checked this last night. My most recent DirecTV Bill. It's $353 and 22 cents. Okay, stop bragging. And I can not get the pec health network. I call DirecTV and I said, give me everything you got. Give me everything you got. And I can't get the pet tool network. It's like Bigfoot, the pack 12 network. People say they've seen it, but nobody can prove it. I might have to FaceTime you. If there's another key game here on the P 12 N as they call it, but out there in the Bay Area, I might just have you watch that. When you get a FaceTime from somebody that's not your wife, does it make you nervous? I get nervous. How often that's not okay, so my most common FaceTime. First of all, wife and I only ever FaceTime if one of us is on a work trip. That's the only time I've ever happened. I'm overwhelmingly. Let's break this down real quick. This is a college basketball podcast. After all, let's talk about FaceTime. What would you say is your ratio of phone call to FaceTime? I would say I am probably 95 to 5 phone call over FaceTime. I am not a FaceTime dude that much. What about you? Yes. Something like that. I mean, 20 to one, something. Yeah. Yeah, that's about. Yeah, exactly. I guess FaceTime from my wife from my parents who want to FaceTime with their grandkids. Correct. That's by far the most popular FaceTime situation I'm encountering. And that's about it. But every once in a while, I'll get, and I never know if it's an accident or not, 'cause I just refuse to answer them. I get nervous. I'll get just like a random name pop up on my phone and it's like, FaceTime, and I'm like, what is this person? What is going on here? And then I just, I just hide. I put my phone over there. I hide. You throw your phone against the couch and you run into another room. Yeah, I like kneel down. I'm like, I don't want to accidentally answer this. Then I'm face to face with somebody. I don't want to be fair. I don't want to just be abruptly face to face with somebody. That's nerve wracking. If I get an every so often, I'll get one from one of my brothers, and then if I get a buddy, and this will happen maybe once or twice a year. If I see a buddy is FaceTiming me, there's something ridiculous that's happening. Like I actually, I get a little excited. Like, what's going on? What idiocy are you getting into? That you need to be FaceTiming me. And that's usually that's usually the case there. I'll tell you after the podcast. I got one. At some point over the past couple of years, from a college basketball coach, and the name popped up and it was like, if it was just the name, like a phone call, would have answered in a second. But it was a FaceTime, and I think it was probably an accident. I've never clarified. But I was like, there is no scenario where I'm answering this FaceTime right now. Because if it is an accident, it's kind of weird, you got to have that I didn't mean to FaceTime anything. And if it's not an accident, well, then I was just nervous. I just didn't want to, I just couldn't do it. I hit from my phone. Okay, fair enough. Well, nice little FaceTime based on corner here. Arizona loses on the road. Was averaging 97 and a half points going into the game. Scored 66. Shot four of 28 from three point range, so similarly terrible from three point range just as creighton was both seems on the road. And then it's backcourt didn't play well. Shot 5 of 27 overall only had 17 points. Arizona is, I don't know if it's the only team I didn't look through every schedule before the pod here. It's played more games away from its home arena to this point than at it. And we are December 2nd here. That will actually be true through the end of next weekend because zona's got a home game and then it's got a neutral against those Indiana hoosiers there. I don't know this to be true 100%. I would imagine that Arizona is going to be the only team in the sport at the high major level to have played more games away from its home venue than not through the first month plus of the season. Now eventually that will swing back, they've got three,

"You can use one of them. You kind of offense 8th in defense. You kind of actually the only team that's top ten in both right now. And then who would the other one be? I'm trying to scan through the undefeated teams that this would qualify with. It is an undefeated team. It is an undefeated team. I'll give you a hint. Give me a time zone. Over the years. Unless your hand is better than the time zone. I think my hint is better than time song. In recent years, this school is in a state that has endured Internet problems, but seems to be operating. The Internet seems to be blazing in the state right now. Is it really the damn Indiana hoosiers right now? It's the damn Indian and Indiana's 12th in offense 11th in defense according to Ken pom. Those are the only three teams top 15 in both Texas, UConn. And my Indiana hoosiers. How about that? Good for the frigging huger. By the way, ACC Big Ten challenge is obviously ending as we mentioned on a previous pod. This text, this text is great in deal, was the fourth year of the big 12 big east battle, not quite as bally hoot, but still there are at least another two seasons of this. And this actually works out pretty pretty well. I actually think it's a pretty good series that splits networks. This creighton Texas was on the ESPN and then Fox Sports one gets the games when a biggie's team hosts. And so a nice inter conference thing that will run alongside ACC SEC moving forward there. Nice win for Texas. And a quick question for you on this. I don't know where you had Texas in your oh, you know what? I did want to bring that up. Let's see if I can bring this up. You know, and I think I can. I forgot to do this on the final episode of the preseason, but do I have this here? Because what I wanted was I wanted to read you a loud, your top 25 and one. As I did a year ago, you may or may not remember this, but your top 25 and one at the start of the off season. Where every team ranked, I see if I can find the document there. But before I get to that Texas preseason, I don't know if you have a vague idea how much have they jumped in your rankings overall since say November 5th, November 6th? I do not remember, I don't even want to be wrong about it. I do not remember where I had texted in the pre season. But I can tell you right now, I've got Texas at number one. Okay, do you think that Texas is the best team, or it has the best resume right now? Or are those people in the same field? They don't have the best resume. Purdue's got the best recipe. That seems pretty obvious to me. Purdue has, I think, four wins over teams I also have ranked in the top 25 and one. They have four wins over top 35 kin pump teams. That leads the country. Purdue's got the best resume. You know, I don't know that Texas is the best team in the country. If I'm being completely honest, but here's what I do think is a reasonable thing to say. That you could reasonably right now in this moment if you were into ranking basketball teams. Have Texas, Houston, Purdue, Virginia, Yukon, or Indiana. You could have 6 different teams reasonably ranked number one right now. How good is that? How good of a commentary is that on the sport right now? We're approaching the fourth week of the season. And we have that many teams that are just in the conversation could have a viable viable state to that. If you're an AP voter and you had to turn in a ballot at right now, you could have any of those teams ranked number one and there's nothing anybody can say to you rooted in the idea that your ballot is ridiculous. The only one of that group that doesn't have like a big signature win is Houston. But that's just schedule related. Obviously, Houston is undefeated and in obliterating pretty much everybody. And Houston did schedule a game at Oregon. That was supposed to be an opportunity for a big signature win. We just sort of found out Oregon is not as good as most anticipated. But yeah, those are the top 6 in the top 25 and one right now. And I've got them in this order. Texas Houston Purdue Virginia UConn, Indiana. But you could, I think, reasonably take those 16s, put them in literally any order and you're fine. Let's get stuff. I can't find your first edition. It's somewhere buried in a Google Doc just a different one. I'll try and get that moving forward. Because I just wanted to look at just how much has changed from the initial one. There's going to be some minor changes, some major changes, but it's always fun to look back, but I don't have that, I don't have that right off the top there. Texas, I thought was the biggest winner from Thursday night. But if there's a close number two GP, it's got to be Utah, right? Yeah, one last thing though on Texas because I think I was trying to I was just trying to, I know, I was just trying to throw it right in for you. It might be, it might be. It's all good. I think Texas has. Not a perfect roster. Configuration relative to this era of college basketball. But one that I think is perhaps the blueprint to flourishing in this era of college basketball with name image and likeness and the one time transfer waiver. If you look at Texas's top 8 scores, it's literally 6 transfers and two 5 star freshmen. It's tyrese hunter, a transform from Iowa state. Marcus Carr, a transfer from Minnesota, Sergey Barry rice, transfer from New Mexico state, Dylan D Sue transfer from Vanderbilt. Dylan Mitchell 5 star freshman. Timmy Allen transferred from Utah. Arterial Morris, 5 star freshman, Christian bishop, transferred from creighton. Score 6 of them are transfers, two of them are 5 star freshmen, all of them are either in their first season or second season at Texas. And I really do think that that is more or less the best way to build a college basketball team. In this era, transfers and impactful freshmen. And if you look at Texas's 2023 recruiting class, right now, they've got two prospects signed. Ron Holland AJ Johnson, two 5 star high school recruits, both top 15 prospects. Take them, bring back what you can. Add what you need via the transfer portal with NIL being a lure and be great again. That's a recipe that works. And I think I don't want to say Chris beard has figured this out before anybody else because other coaches have figured this out. But that's the way to do it. Transfers and impactful freshmen, you don't need anybody else. That was one of the central themes to the story I did on Florida and Todd golden over the summer and one of his recruiting philosophy says he tries to get going there at Florida. GP, I got to say, you know, if Texas wasn't the biggest winner on Thursday night, Eric was. You tell how

You have consent when it comes to the like button you always have consent, so please smash we thank you in advance. Dead leg. You know, one of the weird things is thinking about this last night. About the sport of college basketball is that some of the most interesting off the court developments. They happen right in the middle of the Internet like tournament so they get overshadowed because we just, we don't have time to deal with them, talk about them, but it's been a week now. Since Bill self at Kansas, when his second national title, unless you're like really into the transfer portal, things have slowed down in the sport considerably. So now we got plenty of time. And with that in mind, we decided to spin this episode, reviewing some of the coaching hires and discussing some of the biggest moves that might, in some way, in some places reshaped the sport. If you've got northlanders coaching changes track or bookmark, you likely know two things. One, it's a 19 minute read. What do you want from me? I got a gift capsules on these things. There are 54 coaching changes. Of course it's a 19 minute read. Christmas. Now, hold on though, it has evolved. If we went back three weeks ago, this puppy is a sweet old 9 minute read. Oh wow. It changes. Don't worry, I'm gonna give it another edit, I'll try and get this down for you GP. I'm gonna try once Elon fills its spot by the end of the week, which I expect to happen. I'll try and get this puppy down to 15 minutes for you. It's fine. Like the little bitty capsules are fine. I just wanted to goof on the fact that I did notice when I clicked on it, it is a 19 minute read. The second thing you probably know is that there are 13 new coaches in what we generally regard as the best 6 conferences in college basketball. It's a 5 power conferences, power 5 conferences, plus the big east. It breaks down like this. That mod is the new coach of butler, John Shire is the new coach at duke, Todd golden, new coach at Florida, Mike white is the new coach, Georgia Jerome Tang, new coach at Kansas state Kenny Payne. New coach at Louisville Matt, new coach at LSU, Kevin Willard's the new coach at Maryland. Chris jans, new coach at Mississippi state, Dennis Gates, the new coach at Missouri, shaheen Holloway is the new coach of seaton hall, Lamont Paris, new coach of South Carolina, and Sean Miller is the new coach at Xavier. Dead leg, let's start with this question. Of those 13 new coaches at new places in power conferences. Which one will be doing the best at his job three years from today. Three years. Okay, so we're not trying to predict like, you know, let's go ten years into the future and who's done the best. We're just trying to get a look three years into the future who will have done the best job. And it's all relative to expectation, reminder, as we get into this, because there's a lot of parish. There's a lot of really intriguing hires. I go back to two months ago trying to figure out, trying to predict what jobs would open, what jobs wouldn't looking at candidates. And at the time, thinking, all right, what kind of, what kind of coach in candidates are out there for these jobs? Is this going to be a deal where we have, you know, 7 or 8 jobs open in the power conferences and there might be one or two interesting names, but there might be just some hires that are made that you're kind of like, eh, that's not the case here. There's a ton and I am including Shire, you know, to duke, even though we've known he's the deal. He's actually officially he's taken over in an official capacity as the head coach in the past week or so. In fact, just as we started this podcast, a meal Jefferson was as expected promoted to assistant coach at duke there. Three years from now, I think relative to expectation is the important thing. If you want to say overall who's done the best, I think your three biggest candidates are Sean Miller Xavier, that butler and John Shire at duke. And the reason why I would say those three is, well, you take a look at what Sean Miller and thought have done. Each of coach 17 seasons, Sean Miller's won 73% of his games, that modest one 74% of his games, that matter has a 24 and 13 NAA tournament record is obviously made in national championship game in multiple final fours. Sean Miller has made multiple elite 8s as a 19 and 11 NCAA tournament record the last time he was at Xavier, Xavier was in a tent school. He went one 20 and 47 there. Overall, Sean Miller's won 422 games, Thad modest won 439. From a pure win percentage experience standpoint, coaches that have been at those places, which is obviously a trope this season. You've got familiar faces returning to places they once were. It's them. And then as John Shire, who seems to be dead set on landing every imaginable 5 star possible from now until all of eternity, because what I got two calls from coaches, one in the ACC, one outside the ACC and a power conference in the past 72 hours. And one coach specifically called me to say, John shyer is recruiting right now at a level that Mike scheff is the head coach never did. If you look at what he has done in the 2022 class on the 23 class, it's insane. Now we might see, I don't know if this is going to be the case. We might see a case where Nolan Smith by virtue of having left duke to go to Louisville. Maybe we see one or two do commits, go to Louisville. I don't know if that's going to be the case or.

"In the NCAA tournament that usually that has about a 50 50 probability versus hiring someone with a known record, but basketball is very difficult. As you know, you hired Tom kreen a couple years ago in Georgia. Who was well credentialed at marquette in Indiana and he was a total bust. Absolutely absolutely. Well, two observations. I think it's going to be Gonzaga and Arizona in the championship game. I'm sorry that Arkansas has got to go against Gonzaga thirsty evening, but I'll be watching it. And in my opinion, the best basketball game Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday was the duke Michigan state game. Last evening. Last year. That was a classic. There was coach K down 5 with four minutes to go and people started gravitating to the television going, oh my goodness, this is it. And then suddenly his team did what it is not done in recent weeks and came from behind. Nick is up next in South Carolina. Hello, Nick. Hey, Paul, how are you doing? Very well. Thanks, Nick. I'm a student here at the university of South Carolina. And I was just calling to see what you thought about the new hiring process that we're going through for the basketball team. And he thought we were like the best candidate. Yeah, Nick, first of all, I am not really sure. That's the only job open right now. What are you hearing on campus? First, it was Sean Miller. It was rumored that he was eating dinner and stuff here in Colombia, and now he just got hired at Xavier, so I don't know. That's why I was calling to see what you thought. Well, Sean Miller heard about had he been hired would have been a splash hire. It would have also been very controversial. And absolutely. I mean, he does things package, but I think I don't know who South Carolina will end up with, but I think they won by not hiring Sean Miller. Okay. I was thinking it was a good I just, you know, I feel like we need to figure out. An ocean liner. Yeah. I feel like if we add a big name guy, we could bring in like big recruits. Gigi Jackson, you know? I mean, he's right here in Columbia. Right. And Frank Martin being fired. I mean, that's definitely affected what he's done in Columbia. Like where he's going to go and Columbia. I doubt it will be Columbia or South Carolina. Yeah, I mean, Frank did a good job of recruiting the area, but yeah, that just ran. It's a very tough job, but I think it's got enough basketball tradition that you can be successful there. Tie is up next. Hello ty..

"Honestly, it's a crazy name that we didn't even broach his Bill self. Well, right now, you're not scared of Kansas and Bill. No, I hear you, but it's amazing that his teams are still, I mean, he's a really good coach, but, you know, you're not even talking about him in that. And certainly they've been the one that got hurt. They've been if you can, if you tell me, again, well, way this continue to do what Bruce pearls continue to do it. You know, all the other guys, Sean Miller did it, you know, recruited a pretty high level. He got Nico Mannion and Josh green and technology. The one guy that I think has fallen off is Kansas and Bill sell. Part of it being that they were in Adidas school. And I think that portal has saved him. There's a lot of schools. Awesome this year. They're going to be phenomenal. Well, as long as we're going to Martin is a winning Remy Mart. Yeah, and but look at the talent that they have stockpile. They've got just a ton of guys. Yeah. Yeah, like just and again, that's been my take over the last year or two is like, Kansas is recruiting has fallen off and they don't have that those lottery picks. They're not churning those out or even the first round. He has won without lottery picks. A lot of times. Agreed. Well, they go to the national championship and their best player is Thomas Robinson. It was crazy. And ty Johnson Taylor Elijah Johnson, Jeff wythe. Yep. That's fine. They didn't have a single McDonald's all American. No, but he's also had some years who are obviously, you know, and Wiggins. He's brought in Brandon rush, Darrell Arthur. I mean, he's had stretches, it's funny. He doesn't ever get talent. I'm just saying he wins regardless. And he'll win this year. Again, I mean, even last year, I mean, they weren't very good last year. They went to the cigarette? No. No, they got knocked out. They lost USC. They did. They got run off the court. I did the game as far. I was there, too. I think I left early in that one. That was the fat Monica game. Titus is still mad at you, by the way for that problem. He's still not happy. Well, he probably still thinks they're going to get Brad Stevens. You know? He might still be coming, now. I gotta go to Indiana in a couple weeks, you know..

"And They just showed it, But I didn't. See it. On the replay. Goodwin was saying he just used his butt to clear out. Shal said he used his arm. I don't think anything's going to come out of this. Other than it will be Arizona basketball with the Trojans. Still leading by 2 27 25 5 12 left in the first half. They do call it common foul. Now we will get back to the action finally. Kinjo will get Arizona into the front court. They'll run they're setting probably trying to get the ball inside to tube Ellis that has been really their only source of offense so far. Bellis is going to take a three this time. No good rebound inside the Evan Mobley. Good box out. So to Bellis, Mrs one from the outside. And now Isaiah White. His check back in hasn't for USC in the front court. He gives it to Evan Mobley, who was on the 80 80 will call out the half court set starts with the past Evan Mobley at the top of the key. Now on the Drew Peterson Peterson back in their coaches working around the perimeter going nowhere if he goes inside. Now he's got another right hand runner. This one comes up short. Arizona is on the rebound and going the other way. Transition opportunity for the Wildcats. Now they're turned away, and it's stolen by his a A white, his head head passes to Drew Peterson. He'll dribble into a mid range, pull up that one's no good and Arizona again another uncontested defensive rebound. It's Jamal Baker, and he'll lead the cats into the front court. They look inside, but instead, Baker will try to drive it. His teardrop is good. And Jamal Baker has tied the game and 27 quiet start for Arizona's guards that maybe gets Baker going. He's playing with two fouls, has three points in the game. That's his first made field goal. We're all knotted 27 3 50 left in the first half. Peterson goes to heaven. Mobley is cross court passes to white worked around the ET in Arizona scrambles nicely defensively. And the Trojans will back it out on one another half court set tough pass inside the Goodwin easily stolen there by the cats, Baker going the other way. He finds an opening Kinjo, his three in and out on the rebound inside the Drew Peterson, who boxed out nicely. Trojans dodged a bullet there as the turnover almost led to a wide open three for Arizona. But Kinjo couldn't make him pay. Isaiah White at the top of the key for the Trojans move. Now all the sudden struggled offensively again and here, just a hand checking foul will get Isiah White to the line to shoot to Sean Miller. Is exasperated coming off that.
