"And then it's just like there's there's no substitute for brain power. Like, the smartest guy usually wins. And we've got the smartest coach ever with a guy in Josh mcdaniels who I think is is is a genius in his own, right? Who's been there for the length and breadth of this and bell? Check you continue to coach up young guys who moved through the ranks on defense. And then you've got the greatest quarterback of all time. And you all and Brady's Brady's of football Savar. He's a football genius to. And he's with the only like how many other coach could continue to to push Brady like this. I think part of the reason that Brady keep coming back for more. If he doesn't know we're going to do next week. You know, what I mean eleven idea, but it's like, wow, we're just in the middle of the game going to go to this different sort of too tight end offense that we haven't run all year and win that way. And then we're going to smash mouth people, and then you know, three weeks from now, I might vote. Fifty times. I think that's part of the allure and charm for him because it's always keeping him guessing keeping him on his toes and keeping his mind stimulated. I mean, at some point a guy with that ego, a guy who's accomplish all that with any lesser coach might have been like, you know, leave here. Try it somewhere else. There's none of that there and as much as two years ago, people were trying to tell you the sky is falling in his five thousand words about the end of the patriots dynasty that dude. That QB in that coach they're just different and they're made for each other. And it's it's REM it's remarked we will never ever ever ever ever. See anything close to this. It's two dynasties in one. Let me go to the other side. Sean McVay Jared Goff are they damaged by this. I mean. Will he have to love Jared Goff up a little bit this off season and sort of reach back out to him exit. Sensually the way he did when he got to that building. And you know that kid looks like damaged goods after rookie year. I think they'll be some of that think there'll be a psychological element to it. But this idea that Now Sean McVay is broken or has been exposed. I mean, dude, they they absolutely listen up. Forget what we what are you know, what are is in mind soft like they tore through this league. Like a chainsaw. That defense was a joke. Most of the year, and they had a score thirty five to win, and they pretty much did it every single week and the playoffs are different. And Bella check in the playoffs when he's getting his sixth ring. And you're there for the first time is really really different and Sean did not have a good day. And Jared had a terrible day. But you know, outside of Robert woods like who had a good day. Or you know, who was associated with the offense of you know, game plan of the Rams girly. Certainly didn't have a good day. C J Anderson didn't have a good day. None of their tight end showed up for work three fifths of their offense of line was a joke. So I mean, it is it is collective as. Well, let me get to just a couple of things around the league. What will you eagles do with Nick foles? Where's he going to end up? And and why is it sort of an automatic?.

"Eh? Got you. Thank you for the growl. Thank you for the growl Momo's here. OJ Jackson juniors here. I literally stepped off a plane at five thirty this morning. Five thirty. We were delayed 'cause Lona some New England fan Barth at the back of the plane. So we had to wait an extra hour while the has Matt team went up to clean up this patriots fan. Yeah. Yeah. So not only did you have to listen to those people those people that about. In the stand the entire game, smug smog. Aw. Laws mug that is a group. Right. There is a rumour patriots fans or cardinals fans patriots pagers fan by because here's the thing. I you know, I said this. Last night to somebody on tax. I said, you know, we just played the Red Sox in the World Series. Right. Red Sox fans. No, it doesn't happen. Every year. Red Sox fans don't believe it is a birthright that they win the World Series every year, there is some humility there. And there's also something quaint and charming about Red Sox fans, and they're sweet Caroline bump on on. All that stuff. In the case of patriots fans. I heard patriots fans afterwards at the airport bitch, the taster scored more points. I'm like take the wind do though Lynn, but I gotta love that a little bit as Allegra fan. I'm a little entitled I'm supposed to be here. Little warriors fans right now, they're like, oh Cleveland would have given us a better series. Really expected more from play in game. Six start take the win and shot up. So the entire experience was you know, it was not everybody gets to do what I did. Get on a plane, go thirty five hours and a city across the country high rolling to at the Holiday Inn Holiday Inn, express exa-. It's the Holiday Inn express. And by the way, an excellent breakfast. At the Holiday Inn express, you know, they lay out a good spread warning suppose you wake up at those places and feel better about yourself. The make you feel at home. Yeah. They they made me feel satisfied that I didn't spend a thousand bucks at the Omni downtown, the Omni's luck eighty nine for the holiday and express I can live with, but you know. I sent out an Instagram video last night where I was just really in a bad mood. Sad Marta station and get ready to go to the airport, and I just left our boss got McCarthy who is literally in tears. I mean, he was so sad. He was in tears, his his wife Kari in tears. I was I sucked it up. I was. Okay. Okay. So I have a couple. I thought about what we're gonna talk about today. I actually do think about things sometimes good instead of just show up here. Right. And because you told me we have to carry you going to have to carry me for the next three hours. Yes, there's a couple of weeks. We can go with this. We can just live in the world of hatred. We can just focus on. Patriots fans, and I channel some of my tuck rule. I still hate. I still hate still get upset about that tuck role. You're still still say rightfully so been what twenty five years the raiders twenty five years last time. That's literally the last one in. Yeah. They'd one of there. Yeah. But but I can get there with you. Go and focus on hating other people to help us feel better or we can focus on. We can hate the Rams for having like the worst game Rams offense. We can the Rams off the ranch defense. But we can we can just pile on and get mad at Sean McVay Jared Goff. And like, honestly, if I don't get a press release in the next two days saying girly had surgery on his okay, then I'm really upset. Chilies? What's gonna what's going to help you get over? This more hating the patriots or hating. The Rams one not gonna hate the rain. The performance. I thought the performance was just terrible..

"Job by we're going putting that montage together from yesterday's patriots. Thirteen to three win over the Rams Super Bowl number six for this dynasty six in eighteen years. Six for Tom Brady, which now equals Michael Jordan for championships. Sixth championship for head coach, Bill Belichick. He ties curly. Lambeau and George Alice for the most in league history and the patriots equal the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Lombardi trophies with six not the most exciting games kind of a nerve wracking game. And you finally were able to exile. When Gostkowski made that field goal to put them up ten points. Patriots defense was spectacular. Patriots. Offense struggled somewhat. They moved the ball. But then they weren't able to put points on the board. But in the end as much as this was about Tom Brady having yet another great fourth quarter, put ten points on the board. The game was tied. Right at three going into the fourth quarter this game belong to Bill Belichick and his defensive signal. Caller blind. Brian flurries who's now being announced as the next head coach of the Miami Dolphins. I think Miami's quite happy with that move. Yeah. It's like the greatest day in dolphins history since nineteen seventy two the Bryant flurries they weren't Super Bowl the next year. Add no seventy two while they won the Super Bowl and seventy three and seventy four just be perfect. I'm going to be picky unit. But no, it's a great day for the dolphins. Because they've got a guy who was a superstar sideline down. While the Cincinnati Bengals have hired Zac Taylor. Who's the quarterback coach of the day not as good as certainly not for Jared Goff. But this was about the patriots defense which was from blended. Yeah. Without a doubt. I mean, the thing that stuck out to me really wouldn't when thinking about the game last night after it had unfolded in the confetti it fallen was that it was the exact polar opposite of the Super Bowl last year. Eagles where points were not at a premium all mean every possession in the second half of that game. I think was a touchdown. No, no offense could be stopped the defenses were miserable. The patriots defense, especially was just miserable putrid and this year in the Super Bowl. The patriots defense looked like freaking beaters. I mean, they looked every bit the part of a world class defence. And they were they just were phenomenal. The game plan was phenomenal the executed phenomenally they may be plays. He may timely plays everybody contributed. I thought the biggest single biggest play of the game was something that you heard in recap Christian put together. There was Jason mccourty break-up of short fire touchdown in the end zone. Now, it's a little bit of a better throw from golf. It's probably six, but or of cooks is bigger more competitive and fights for the ball, maybe to touch. That's just not as game though, five. But if you look and see how much ground Jason mccourty had to cover to get to that point where he was making the contact with Cook's to break that up. I mean, it was really remarkable. That to me stands out is the play of the game is just an unbelievable effort from Jason mccourty guy who had never been to the playoffs before this year and save the touchdown and kept the Rams from feeling confident about themselves. So. I can't say enough about the defense. Gilmore was fantastic. Hightower was fantastic MVP this game. Thirteen to three game you immediately say, well, it's got to be a defensive. Did they have to do to our Gilmore would've been my choices? Julian Edelman was a fine choice. Ten catches one hundred and forty one yards. He deserves it as well. I mean, you can't give the head coach or the defensive signal caller the MVP the game. But you could certainly hand out all the plaudits that we are so far in this program because I think this is Bella checks one of his three great moments as a head coach one of his two great moments as a head coach and one as a defensive guru because if you look at what bell check is done in the Super Bowl area. Let's go back twenty eight years ago defensive coordinator for the New York Giants they beat the Buffalo Bills with a high powered offense the k gun offense led by Jim Kelly. The giants win that game twenty to nine hundred nineteen. He would rush to at times three at times. And just punish the offense of players when they would catch the ball kind of left Thurman Thomas have his way this one yesterday was even more spectacular. Because again, you limited this team to three points. The bills did put nineteen on the board. And it came down to Scott Norwood. If he makes that field goal. People forget what Bill Belichick did in that game. It would have been a lost by the giants. And then fast forward to February of two thousand and two as the head coach of New England Patriots. Once again, the Rams then in Saint Louis what he did this low down the greatest show on turf winning that game. So those to me go back to nineteen ninety one two thousand and two and yesterday. And that's why you see the genius a Bill Belichick whether it be as defensive coordinator has coach. I'm not sure how involved he wasn't a game plan. I'm sure he was because he's got his fingerprints on everything to do with that organization because if we're going to give him a lot of heat for last year, then we've got to give him that's his side of the ball. That's where he made his chops in the NFL is we know is he obviously great on every side of the ball. But we know that that's where his I love. I guess lies was defensive said yesterday at one players patriot. One patriot player said that we're going to make him. His pants or they did fans. And in a sense. They did with Jared Goff was still a young quarterback. Some of the criticisms of Gough is Ben that he processes things slowly. Well, that was the case what the patriots were able to do on every single play in Belgium talked about it today is that they would have two different defenses called and they would show one. And then when the play clock got to fifteen seconds, a communication is done between head coach Sean McVay Jared Goff, and then they would switch defenses at that point. So was trying to diagnose defenses on the fly, which he just can't do. He was. I mean caller was us horrible last night. She was terrible. And. A couple of better throws. Maybe the team is is more in a he he just did not give the Rams chance to win the gale. He made he took a couple of bad sacks. He should've turf did a few times where we didn't turf it. He wasn't particularly accurate. I didn't think he progress through his reads it all a better throat a cooks at the back of the end zone. That's a touchdown. He made a good throw to cook along the right sideline. But Gilmore made a better play. Right. That was the play before that horrendous interception to Stefan Gilmore where the patriots were in coverage zero. He didn't read it loaded. Just floated went up, and Stefan Gilmore may the platelets. Listen to Bill Belichick after the game talking about how his defense silenced. The Rams we basically Gilmore on the whole game. It was a mix of Mannion's own coverage. And then we we've doubled words, and those are really the two guys that. We're most concerned about obviously, you know, Anderson a girl in running game and Reynolds. Ever as well in the past. And it got too many guys you can't stop everybody. But we we've had a lot of coverage on cooks words, and basically. Coach when you try to make this game plan against the Rams and the only other team that did this to them with the bears late in the season. Or they the biggest influence that the film that kind of gave you some ideas. Or what were the influences are coming into this game? That said this is how I want attack this football. Well, we just felt like we had to put something together that will neutralize the running game and their big play play action passes on early downs. That's really where they kill all years one hundred twenty some explosive plays if they had so we felt like if we could make them drive. It make them earn it similar with the lines. To make them just run a lot of plays and get them in third down. We felt like we'd have a chance to get him off the field on third down and able to do that. And really to play the game. Defensively was was the blitz. The Friday flurries called blitz and Gilmour played the flight perfectly just went up and high pointed ball and that was a big play for some.

"And the easy, right? The the ones that everyone will be talking about is the old school versus new school. Right. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick combined age one hundred and seven years. Sean McVay Jared Goff fifty seven years, right? It's just crazy when the patriots were in that Super Bowl in two thousand two Jared Goff was seven years old seven years old. That's just nuts. Even when you say it out loud. But I think that's one of the most underrated things that we've talked about Tom Tom Brady is going to get all the law and all the hype and rightfully so hard sock. But can you ever remember that overall number one draft pick in the NFL in two years has not only one is division? But in the second year is. Playing for the Super Bowl. And yet he feels like the forty third story line of Super Bowl fifty three. Yeah. But that's that's kind of what golf's character is though. He's he's California. Cool. So I'm not I'm not unsurprised because McVay is the bigger story line, right? It has been McVeigh's season. It has been ever since really. I think even going back to training camp. I think it was the real sports guys did that viral clip of him. They asked him do you? Remember what was happening in this game when you were coaching for the Redskins five years ago? And he's like, oh, yeah. Third and three. It was a blitz package. You know, and he was able to rattle off with photogenic detail. Of what had happened? And he's now become kind of a a mad scientist to just it looks like an Abercrombie model doing and that that has been perfect for this team. Right. Because I think Sean McVay is comfortable in that position. And it's perfect that Jerry Goff hasn't had the deal with what I think Patrick Mahomes had deal with for for the cheeses. Like, oh, my goodness is the guy MVP is going to be changing it up is he going to be a five hundred million dollar quarterback in guaranteed money down the road golf hasn't had to deal with that. He's been quote unquote under the radar. But when you talk about Sean McVeigh, Aaron Donald who is no doubt, the leader of that defense, and rightfully so one of the most explosive defensive players who all seen. He said this at media day presser where I thought was really intriguing about how the Rams have changed their attitude. Everything's clicking. I told me today. My thank you wanna thank player. But I'd say, you know, once you came you change things around, and we still have a lot of success when we became here, man. So. Leader, we have you know, to leader we have and in a way. Go about his business. The way the way say he got to be great to be the best to do it. And and they've been showing, you know, you just you know, I'm happy to be imported this organization plan with this coach with his team. I love that. I love that clip from Aaron Donald because it's not just coachspeak one. Oh one I really feel like sometimes you need here. A clip from a player. They're speaking from the heart, and I feel like that's the way Sean McVay. In fact, if you're a Dallas Cowboys fan right now hearing that clip from Aaron Donald has to just crush you at the core will Cain right now is somewhere driving get his his well-qualified hair done, right and listening to us on ESPN radio. And he's probably driving off the road when he hears that. Because a Dallas cowboy fan you hear Aaron Donald a leader. Now that team say this team change, which Sean McVeigh for fourteen years. We were garbage McVay comes in. Here wins the division and in the second year during the Super Bowl, and it's the change in leadership that you had I thought that was an incredible quote from Aaron. What are the more reasons why I am picking? The the Rams beat the patriots in this game. Peter burns been heart sock here on ESPN radio the best week ever. And I think everyone's going to talk about the coaching genius. It is Bill Belichick. You're just talking about a different form of genius in Sean McVay, not only offense. But just in the way that he motivates his players as well. Well, the best teams that that. I was part of unique do what you were like a team kind of takes on. It's not a caricature, but it becomes kind of your identity. Sure. These patriot teams now for the dynasty that they are. You know, we're watching continue. They have been of absolute detail laser focus, no mental mistakes. Like the fact that days off. Somebody somebody somebody made the point like one of the great contrast from the AFC championship game was the fact that d Ford one of the most pivotal blaze of the game d Ford was off sides. Well, it's you contrast that with there would never be a patriots player to make a mental air like that at a minute shit. Right. You know, when I when I was a part of the Rex Ryan jets the good Rex Ryan areas where we were two years going straight to the going to the AFC championship. We were smashmouth bar fight type of teams because we matched the character of our team. And with McVeigh, I get that same kind of sense. There is an element of this. We're California cool. But we're also like this. You know, the mad scientist the the way that he is going to scheme and players buy into that. And they have absolute trust. And it raises the bar of the team when you feel like, you know, what I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do because I'm Aaron Donald. But I also know I got a coach that's gonna put us in the right situation when we need it one of the reasons why it's a great point. What are the reasons why I am picking the Rams over the patriots today is because I think Bill Belichick is the better of the two head coaches, right? There's no. Doubtless and he's been there. So many times he's sixty six years old the wealth of knowledge, maybe goes out as a greatest NFL coach we've ever seen. But it's the one two punch the Rams that I love it. Sean McVeigh in what he brings to the table combined with Wade Phillips as a defensive coordinator. All right. First of all, I love the picture of Wade Phillips wearing his as Phillips code, and it was a throwback. I loved it. But I go back and look at Wade Phillips. He's he's faced Tom Brady twice in postseason play both times he drew up incredible game plans and both times they stifled Tom Brady. I was there in the building. When he did it for the Broncos. And I think the the combination between him a keep to leave Marcus Peters. And then having that front is monster because what Wade Phillips has done in those other two games what he's done to a lot of coaches are a lot of quarterbacks over the last year or two it's fine ways. To dial up pressure. In get pressure without sending a blitz. Tom Brady is great against the blitz. But if you're able to move the pocket from the interior that's something that I think that that Wade Phillips knows that with seven former first rounders on defense. He knows how to draw up, and that's why that one two punch for the coaching. I believe is even better than what Bill Belichick rolls out. He has been a heart sock..

"The Philadelphia Eagles stunned the patriots. This Nick foles was Super Bowl MVP and eagles finally won that first Super Bowl ring in franchise history. Now here we are a year later patriots are there again for their third consecutive trip to the Super Bowl. And they've got the Rams who have not been since the patriots first Super Bowl ring. It's so weird that the circles that we run in sports and will include some fresh blood here and some fresh blood there, but you also have constant themes, and it's really amazing when a team specifically the patriots quarterback and head coach and their owner that trifecta they've they've hit the trifecta for sure and they're still relevant all these years later. So Tom Brady, Bill Belichick. Sean McVay Jared Goff. We'll hear from them as we head through this edition of after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. Thank you so much for all of your support. I'm going to continue to say it for those of you who are tuning in and shooting out. And and you only listen at particular times throughout the night or into the early morning. The support that you've shown us for our shows from radio row, it makes the whole process worth it. And it's not easy. People say to me all the time. Are you having fun or that must be so much fun or you must really enjoy it. And yes, it is a week that I look forward to. All year long because of the access that we have hall of famers and members of Hollywood and pop culture and entertainers and the types of sights and sounds that you don't get from a radio studio back home. However, it is a lot of work. So since Saturday night Saturday night last Saturday night, I have not slept more than five hours at pop. I don't tell you that. So that you feel bad for me. It's fine. This is the gig. I signed up for it. But it's a lot of work and a lot of work goes into it. And so it means the world to me when I see your tweets or your Facebook post that you appreciate not only the show as you've listened. But also the podcast many of you have downloaded it. The interviews that were posting on YouTube. I just I just know that if I didn't get your feedback. It wouldn't feel like the work was was worth at quite as much though what I've seen and what I've heard will help me become. A better broadcaster. Give me a better perspective. Now coming up this hour when a couple of more interviews to share with you. I like to mix them up here. We don't want to stick to football. We don't want to stay in our lane and do just football from radio row. That would be boring. The air force Thunderbirds. We'll be doing the flyover for Super Bowl fifty three. And it was really cool to do. A couple of minutes with not just the head of maintenance for this Thunderbird unit who's a female. She's awesome. Her calls nine is mango to one of the pilots who won't be in the air for the flyover, but will be coordinating from inside the stadium. So he said he's never been as nervous as he is for what's to come on Sunday. Now, there's a lot of coordination that goes into it. His name is his call sign is flak. He's a major in the airforce and the two of them will tell you all about the process coming up in fifteen minutes here on after hours with Amy Lawrence were inside the rocket mortgage by Quicken Loans studio rocket mortgage is with you every step of the way to provide a seamless mortgage experience. So on Twitter. A law radio. And then also on our Facebook page after hours with Amy Lawrence. There is one video already on social media. I promise there will be two more the wall of rings that I've told you all about I want you to see I started at either end. So I started with Super Bowl wind and walked up. I started with Super Bowl fifty two and walked backward. I had a good clear shot, and I did a little narration as well. So I promised to post those we'll do that next hour because I I want to be the host to always delivers on her promises. Some of the news from the world of sports that was even filtering down to radio row in Atlanta. We mentioned the Kristaps Porzingis trade that will send him to the Dallas Mavericks now the Mavericks don't know when he'll be completely healthy. But even this early in his career with the ACL tear. He's already an all star. And so the Mavericks want to pair him with Luca Danni pitch, and they want to be able to build around those two guys even as at whatever point we we know that Dirk Nowitzki will be outgoing. It's a transition there. And Dirk is not the player that he was when they won the NBA title. But he is the reason that people know the Dallas Mavericks right now, Dirk Nowitzki is the Dallas Mavericks, and so they've got this. Hot young rookie in Luca Donncha choose already making waves, and I believe just got named an all-star reserve as well. Now, they bring in Kristaps Porzingis. And that should give them the foundation to chase another title. And so you've got KP in and three other players from the Knicks that will go to Dallas and then point guard Dennis Smith junior and two future. First round picks will head to New York. Now, it certainly looks like the Knicks are clearing cap space. They did actually inquire about Anthony Davis with the pelicans New Orleans said, no, thanks. We're not interested. So essentially the Knicks don't have the assets that they're looking for. But they make this trade with the Mavericks and said and coming from the Knicks perspective to we got a statement from team president, Steve mills indicating that Porzingis isn't wasn't I guess now. It'd be past tense wasn't body into the teams plans for the future and didn't want to be there. And they decided that they would go ahead and give him what he asked for which was a trade out of town. So that's one piece of news KP to Dallas, and then Dennis Smith junior and a couple of future first round draft picks heading to the Big Apple it's after hours with Amy Lawrence here on CBS sports radio. Now inside the world of football. There was some news as well. Which incidentally, also involves Dallas and one five three the fan was our Dallas affiliate. They were broadcasting on radio row as all this news was breaking on Thursday. So if you think about it, we were kind of involoved by everything that's happening on radio row with all the football players. And the different interviews the guests the scheduled got lined up. It's a whirlwind. It feels like a bit of a cocoon. I have no idea what has happened outside the world of football. And and know a couple of basketball headlines here and there, but for the last week, I would even turn on a television set I've been in Atlanta since Tuesday morning, and I have not seen ATV. It's so busy. There's so much to do working days and nights. But every now, and then you'll have a couple of news stories that that catch us last year was Alex Smith now that was inside the world of football. But Alex Smith getting traded from the chiefs so the Redskins now we find out that there will not be a contract extension for now. For Jason Garrett. So lot of Dallas Cowboys fans have been calling for his ouster. Jerry Jones, reportedly not giving him any type of a contract extension. At least at this point either short-term on long-term, which makes him a lame duck coach going into the two thousand nineteen season. Ian Rappaport who I matched for the first time in person Wednesday on radio row gives you the details from the NFL network. Solidified their coaching staff earlier today officially installing kellyn Moore's office coordinator, but there's still questions regarding their coaching staff in general specifically Jason Garrett. Remember before.

"Get back to Petros from Petros and money. How are you, sir? Hey, I love the name of Kelly though, that's a great name for your daughter. What's the origin? Are we on the air? Oh, yeah. Oh, good. Okay. Yeah. Dacca's? My wife wanted to be the neighbor. Hey, we stole that from a radio show down the hall. But at least we say, we steal from you. You know, people steal from us. They never say it. Yeah. From all the time. I appreciate you. Exactly. Hey, okay. So Super Bowl Sunday you've been a part of some of these right? Like I've ever played the Super Bowl as a reporter. Oh, I'm not stupid. I would never actually go and covered the Super Bowl after game. You've never done that. Why credential for it? I just nobody gets like air butter. Our unless you have to write a story or be on TV from there. You just leave before the actual game. It's like going out on New Year's Eve or Valentine's Day, right? Nobody stays for the Super Bowl. Most people just go for Super Bowl week. Right. Do all the stories get all the exposure. And then they go home to their Super Bowl party usually Friday night or Saturday morning. I went to Las Vegas for Super Bowl real quick. And then I didn't want. I didn't care about the game. So I left right. A kickoff. And I drove home and listen to the game all the way on from Vegas. It was the best. Dr I've ever had from Vegas to L A. But you have to love radio that'd be able to appreciate the feeder of the by that is a radio call you got it. Most people want to eat HAMAs and nor the game while they gossip about their neighbors. People spread the Super Bowl. But this one's in Atlanta and the brand new NFL stadium. The real. It's the real darling right now until ours gets built in Inglewood And I to be. going to be a good game. But certainly a compelling up. It's empire with Darth Vader and emperor palpitation and Tom Brady Bill ballot. Jack versus these young guys Sean McVay Jared Goff, and so on and so forth. Yeah. It really is. Amazing. How many how many games how many times I think it's aka eight years in a row that the that the the patriots have made the the a FC championship game. It is mind boggling, and I have the risk of sounding serious. Somebody else made this point. And and it's a great point the NFL the league stands for not for long. I mean, nobody lasts long the NFL players not coaches people get fired quickly. If you have a career in the NFL doesn't mean your life is set in a league that is really really built towards parody and everybody feels like they can win the Super Bowl at a year or have a chance the patriots and Tom Brady of ballot. Check justify that. And what they have done is. I mean, that's the greatest accomplishment of the history of sports as far as I'm concerned. I patriots fan. I don't care. It's unbelievable that they can do this every year and a young man's game. Right. Do you think that if if the if the patriots end up winning this game Boston beats L A? Would you think that they're both gonna retire? No, no. I think that they're still showing that they could win the division every year play at a high level keep healthy run the football, you use all their personnel magic that has made them. Great over the years. I think he wants to east said he wants to play. He's forty five and watching it easier. This year's playoffs. I believe in. I mean I and I'm not a big Brady fan. I I don't hate him like a lot of people. But how can you deny his greatness? What's a better song? If the Rams win the Super Bowl cool in the gang celebration or we are family, Pittsburgh, pirate our family. I'll message to Sharon. There's an old Rams. Are you guys could just look it up on YouTube? There's an old Rams fight song from the fifties. When they were in LA with horns, and all that it's way more your speed. Nineteen fifties. You're not talking about Ramat. You're talking about before. Then. No, no. This one the Rams song..

"Seven. For the Super Bowl. Right footed, kicking up arching up. He it is. Super bowl. Kevin Harland was going on the fan. Yeah. They are twenty six twenty three Greg's airline that game winner. After John Johnson had picked off drew Brees off. I guess his arm got hit as he was trying to throw the football Jared Goff closer to ninety seven touchdown and a pick. And it's on to Atlanta for LA, and Sean McVay who can't contain himself, but words together. Wow. Wow. Wow. Exactly right now when he did get his words together, so happy for these players for these coaches, but a lot of respect for the for the saints golfer. We mentioned almost three hundred yards passing. He had so many issues with the noise. They taped up the air holes at one point and his helmet had certain problems have we lost. But right before we went out there on the first drive my helmet when dead. So I was wearing Sean millions helmet for the first draft. And then throughout the second drive the same thing it was in and out you knew that was going to happen. Sean Manion the backup quarterback had the same head size. The I guess so. Right imagine if they didn't there's no way I could have ever done that with any of my backup quarterbacks. Right. I mean, I had a helmet would have hit my fit my head there. I had a feeling something was going to happen with that communication in that building. Just because they were known for that the whole Sean McVay Jared Goff thing. I was like there's someone's gonna screw with this or something's gonna be MVP ever ever tape up your whole now never once on the road. You know, we had not until the end of my career did that coach to quarterback communication device really get take place so early on you had for me anyway, Sam Weiss required me to know every single formation every single personnel group every single audible every single change at the line of scrimmage. I had no at all. So that was just part of the responsibility of the QB you'd have a guy running in with the play call on the sideline Elmo. Need one? Here was here was breeze. Talking about the no passing interference call. We've talked about this all morning, but more importantly, listen to the fan in the back. Where were these interviews? Hell that's what I wanna know how a fan got so close to make his feelings known obviously in a.

"But this was at a whole other level. I mean, I know people have put it out there on on Twitter and stuff, but those are kind of our water bottles sitting in front of us on on the table. And you you look you can see the water in the bottle was like quivering. For those of US Cobra. We have earthquakes it was it was like that. Just kinda feel things triple a little bit. And then at one point I thought we're not having an earthquake are we they don't have those Doorly. But, but it was just the noise and just just a whole different level than anything. I'd experienced, and I think anything that the rammed with ever experienced either. This is going to be a lot of fun to see what they can do at the next step, which of course, will happen in two weeks in Atlanta, you can find rich on Twitter at rich underscore Hammond. Covers the Rams for the Orange County. Register thank you so much for a couple of minutes. I appreciate it. You got it. Amy, ticker. Even now as we hang out with rich and dawned on me a couple of minutes ago. Sorry about the four years for Jared Goff. Of course, it's the third year. It feels like an age ago. Heels like e undergo as a matter of fact that he was playing in the Jeff Fisher all the style. Remember he was over seven, but he didn't even start until midway through his rookie year. And where are the Jared Goff is a bust people? Rich even mentioned Jared Goff is a bust was probably one of the most common things that you would see on Twitter in his rookie year. And what a difference. Sean McVay makes what a difference having some weapons makes it just gosh. Not hearing that immoral. It's a complete and total turnaround. So congratulations to Sean McVay Jared Goff. Wade Phillips is one of my favorite people in football. C J Anderson who's found new life is now headed to another Super Bowl. He's a former pro bowler and champ with the Denver Broncos. A lot of veterans on that defensive side of the ball. And then you think about some of the younger guys and this'll be their first time. So really neat for this franchise that left Saint Louis moved to L A. And I'm wondering too about the fans that were left behind in Missouri in the heartland. How you feel about it are you cheering for the Rams or you kind of ticked off that they're going back to the Super Bowl. But they're doing it under the Los Angeles city moniker. You can find me on Twitter AOL radio now coming up after the update will dive into the AFC championship which also went into overtime Tom Brady and Bill Belichick heading to their ninth Super Bowl as a duo the eleventh Super Bowl appearance for the New England Patriots overall twenty five years ago that Bob Kraft bought this patriots franchise and completely changed. "So I'm not back to back plays plays within a couple of plays of each other. They had one of the the worst roughing the passer calls that you're ever going to see. Against Tom against the Chris Jones of the chiefs who hit Tom Brady hit the gall to hit Tom Brady on his left shoulder pad. And so the patriots get bailed out of a huge third down situation in incomplete pass on third down or what would have been a third down. What would have set up third and seven make it off the the big a first down on that play. And then. And then the patriots take a deep shot to rob gronkowski. Who looked like he was interfered with and the referees. Don't throw a flag. So I guess maybe it evens out in the end the man the officiating today has has not been good and. Oh, this is going to be an interesting one. Chris HOGAN made a great effort on third down to make a one handed catch that they called a catch on the field that they're reviewing right now. They're man the officiating some of it through the control of the officials some of it because some of these plays are so close his is going to be it's going to be a gigantic topic tomorrow on shows like this one while we'll see what happens, but this if this call stands it it continues the drive for New England if the call gets overturned, then and I don't know that there's enough to overturn it. Then it gets overturned. New England will be putting the ball back to Kansas City in Kansas City. Kansas City, don't try. We'll try to do something that they they haven't been great at doing this year run a four minute offense at the end of games. Maybe this is we're not having Kareem hunt comes back to bite them. But we remember back to the charger game. I think it was a Thursday night game earlier this year. Either Thursday or Saturday night game. It was one of those odd nights. It wasn't a Sunday night game. But they had a two touchdown lead on the chargers. And the chargers were able to to chip their way back into the game in the last six minutes because the chief couldn't get first downs. So we'll see what happens here. We'll keep an eye on that eight five five two one two four CBS. In the meantime, if you want to get in and chat about any of this grab a line and were within Sylvie top of the hour. Let's go to Philadelphia stock to Mike Mike, welcome into CBS sports radio. What's happening? Brother. How are you? I'm great. How's things in Philadelphia? Cold. Yeah. Bet you guys are getting you get in the back of what they're of what they're feeling in in Kansas City right now. Yeah. It's about ten degrees right now going down to about to stay warm, brother, stay warm, and by the way, the call stands on that third Nate. So the patriots drive continues. Go ahead. Mike, absolutely not. I just wanted to call in. I mean, you're talking about referees bad call. And there shouldn't be and flag. How do you miss it? You miss a pass interference call in the fourth quarter to basically see a lot of the game. Glenn in brought lake. And it was it wasn't like he was in a crowd. It wasn't like it was a call that was that was in some sort of gray area or anything like that. This was a this was a play that was this is a play that was right out there in the open for everybody to see and the ball the ball went sailing over the over the the the two guys who were part of the play because the the receiver basically got tackled. Right. Well, he got he got tackled. I mean guy wasn't looking at the bog. I was going right for him helmet refugees. Then and right in front of them, and you don't call it. But yet, here's the here's the play online. Basically, you call that place. There's a flag game over three times clock goes bam. Amen. Do you think that should be do do you think that's something? They should look at making plays like that reviewable. I think anything should be reviewed at the end of the day. If it's going to cost the going to the Super Bowl review review anything. I mean that that's huge. It was legacy changing. No doubt about that. Predate the phone calls. Stay warm air in Philly. Mike. Yeah. I mean, when you think about all the things that that think about all the things that that call changes because he's right? Might try to they call that then the game's over because well, at least I think it is I'm assuming Sean Payton would get his head about him on the next three downs. And actually run the football and take the clock down and. And then kick the field goal to win the game. I'm assuming he wouldn't be throwing the football. Like he was during that first series of downs. Big assumption. I know, but I'm gonna go ahead and give him the benefit of the doubt. So that that that play if they call that play properly ninety five percent chance game over. Now. Instead, you think about it. And you think about all the legacy changing things about that? Drew Brees doesn't get a chance to go to a second Super Bowl. Win a second Super Bowl become part of an elite group of quarterbacks who've led teams to multiple Super Bowl wins. Obviously he would still need to go win a game against the chiefs of the patriots. But he's not even gonna get the opportunity and drew Brees did plenty in his own right to to prevent the saints from winning that game today. There's no doubt about that. But if they make that call drew Brees is probably on his way to the Super Bowl, Sean Payton's on his way to the Super Bowl. Now, Sean McVay Jared Goff or taking their first step into an exclusive club. All this. Talk of the Rams being the next big dynasty. Is is in play right now. Because of that call now the other things had to happen along the way. But again, they call that. If it ends the game at a choke point. That said it Sean Payton's fault for even running plays that allowed the referees to be part of that game. There was a path to victory. There was a path to victory for the New Orleans Saints that involved them properly executing basically properly executing three things a snap a hand off and just don't turn the ball over. And then a field goal and improperly kicking a field goal. There was there was a scenario in which the Rams could do almost nothing to stop the saints from winning that game and Sean Payton chose to take a path. Davis team lesser chance to win that game. It's honestly, it's the antithesis of being a good head coach. Coaches are supposed to maximize the opportunity for their team to win. The game coaches are supposed to put players in the best position to win games. Sean Payton made decisions today Vic drastically reduced. His team's chances of winning. The patriots are going forward here on fourth and inches with about three minutes and fifty seconds to go in the game. They're deep in Kansas City territory. We will keep an eye on things to back to Mississippi we go and Dennis Dennis welcome in to CBS sports radio. Very shown. I'm allows Amos ram fan been around pants since nineteen sixty seven congrats congrats my man happy for you. Is. Own ed. As ram game. There was. But. Like. One s and everybody can make a mistake. The chance to win the game. The goal is to ram. Coach lender. Yup. That's that is Dennis. I appreciate the phone. Call. Yeah. The there were still things. The Rams had to do to win that game that pass interference. Call didn't hand the Rams the game. But it kept them alive and gave them the opportunity to to win that game. But Sean Payton gave the referees opportunity to be part of the storyline. Bike stupidly calling passing place. When all you had to do was run the football. It's on Sean Payton, man, bad referees been going on since time immemorial, it's on Sean Payton and just like clockwork and and go figure fourth and inches you run Sony Michelle behind the fullback instead of going Rex Burkhead single setback. And not only do you convert the fourth down Sony. Michelle takes it into the end zone for the go ahead. Touchdown. I'm telling you, man. These normally great coaches that have been doing things today to give their team a lesser chance to win man was this play well blocked or what Devlin just berries the end Sony. Michelle gets in behind him. Untouched into the end zone. Why these coaches making so hard on themselves? Man. Why do they do that? All right, Brandon. Casey, couple Florida, callers, you guys will be first up in the final segment of the show last chance to sound off on this show as the as things wind down in Kansas City. Chiefs are going to get the ball back there down twenty four twenty one three and a half minutes to go. Patrick, Mahomes your opportunity man as Jim Ross would say kid, go make yourself famous the likely MVP the league's going to get a chance to make an MVP type drive. We'll see if he can do it here. Pats defense has been. Largely been pretty good today. Aside from a couple of a couple of glitches on on chunk place downfield played a play date in pretty decent. So far, we'll see they can get off the field here. Coming up at the bottom of the hour, though right now time for a sports update before we get into the final segment of the show. And for that we go to Peter Schwartz. Sports play. Do started our ahead.

"Sunday, only eight hours away for game time in New Orleans. The NFC championship game is the first of the day. Sean McVay Jared Goff, and the Rams are headed to the Mercedes Benz Superdome to take on drew Brees and saints. Here's coach McVay on how his team is prepared for the trip to the by you on we try to keep the same rhythm and routine. It's a big game. We don't shy away from that. But I think it is important to be able to keep that regulated rhythm for our players and for us because you don't want to try to make anything up. You don't need to do anything different than what we've done other than play at our highest level. Kick off in the Superdome is at three. Oh, five eastern the AFC title game will follow Tom Brady. And the patriots are headed to Arrowhead where they've consistently struggled. Here's Brady when asked if he's feeling nervous for the game a little bit a bit more. So during the week than than. Then probably leading up to the game the more like Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday says you're preparing and trying to get to know the other team, I feel like the more the more prepared less nervous. I get. Meanwhile, chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is just excited to step onto his biggest stage yet often every single every single game's important. I mean, you're planning AFC championship. I mean that should that. That's the motivation that you need you want to go out there and get your goal. So for me, just focus on what's ahead every single game's important. This is a huge game, especially for this fan base in this community. And so I'm excited to have the opportunity to play against a great team and great atmosphere. Kickoff in Kansas City is set for six forty pm eastern in the NBA on Saturday night. It was a battle in Houston between the rockets and the Lakers down twenty one in the first half the rockets Rabaul to come back and take the game to OT often. Eric Gordon, three with two seconds left in the fourth quarter rockets head coach Mike dantonio on how his team. Got it done. That was just gonna show of heart down. Twenty one point. And we just we picked up the end zone now. I thought some keys BJ got into Kunsman. That's key. Obviously James qui all the time. Gordon, just though he was phenomenal. So it was but what I liked about spirit. They won how hard they played. Final score in Houston Rockets..

"Anti-iraqi just for a little while longer. Lance at the top of the hour. Maybe having news on the Bengals coaching. Nothing confirmed. There's rumors flying around. Maybe it's sack Taylor. The QB coach for the Rams Zack Taylor thirty five years old. He's obviously under McVay. So that you know that people like him and feel like he could be the next guy where did it McVay come from? Because there's so much hype on him. And I know I I've heard where he's from. But I forget. I'm trying to think what his. Me look real quick. I need to get. Did he come from college? Or was he just been kicking around as coordinator? Now. I know he was with the Redskins for a while there. Yeah. He was with the the Redskins since two thousand ten was an assistant coach tight ends coach in the news. The OC. From two thousand fourteen in two thousand sixteen before getting the head head coaching job in because this guy come from not hearing his name to being the new messiah. Oh, yeah. We do know her Sean McVay went to college. St. Miami is on that. Yeah. So looking in. So that's why Zack Taylor now. Zac Taylor was actually it was also the offense coordinator for the Bearcats in two thousand sixteen hundred Tommy Torvill and look take this for westword out there. But I mean, they were a second there. Number eleven in the AFC in scoring nineteen point three or seventeen point three points per game. So for what that's worth, but he was also. The cornerback coach with the dolphins. Where he was supposed to take Ryan tannehill to new heights and number really happened. So I'm a dog. And I'm just saying, you know, he's, you know, he I think a lot of his the reason people are saying his name is is this Sean McVay Jared Goff thing which just because one coaches successful. Obviously doesn't mean the other. I mean, how many coaches have come from the Bill bell check tree that all my guy. We'll just take all the information that Bill Belichick had and ill. It'll be the same thing knows how to run program. Well, doesn't necessarily work out though, Ashleigh it's turned out with the patriots to work the opposite of that. Just because you're underneath Bill Belichick doesn't mean you take any of the qualities that make him an exceptional coast. So that's like any job. You can't just, you know, just because you're in the same room as somebody doesn't mean you're going to be that guy. No. It's just it's just really funny. How out? The one little one thing happens for Sean McVay is young. He's you know, whatever he is thirty five thirty six years old. He has super success. He takes over for Jeff Fisher Jared Goff looked like he was going to be a Boston. He comes in now singer golf's good, which is all fantastic. But I mean that has changed. How coaches are hired. Now. All these, you know, these are cliff Kingsbury gets hired young kind of offensive minded coach in Arizona. That happens is how did that? Have you read how that happened? Kicked around forever, and all of a sudden bam. He's arizona. I don't know. Why? I mean, I guess, you know, so he was Texas Tech's head coach right perennial basement dweller of of the twelve gets fired. He gets fired from his all modern like us a quarterback is fired. And then he wants to beginning the offense coordinator job at USC, not a bad gig blueblood program. Well, part of your contract, obviously is you know, you're not allowed. They're not allow you to interview with other teams, especially when you've been here literally a week and a half. Right. So he must have to do is agent. Whatever must have thought he had a really good chance of being a pro coach resigns from that. And then like two days ago this hired as the cardinals coach which I think is good for him. You know, happy for him. But it seems like an odd deal when you were playing did you have an agent. Was it down Herman sports stars New York? I was gonna say how do they approach you? Because I've always wanted to the interview process. You know, there's, you know, college in your senior year junior senior year everyone's agents are calling in sending you stuff. Hey, wanted meet you on represent you. And I kind of narrowed it down to three and I want to be interviewing them, and then me, and my parents interviewed him and then with with l So Jerry Maguire wasn't good enough for you. I didn't get get Jerry Maguire, but Bob sugar, whatever they guy's name sugar. Okay. For me. It's always agents are always. You wonder if I I don't have a broadcasting agent. I used to have won this because he was anything didn't do one thing if management out of out of New York getting Josh santry, and everything I got in in the broadcasting business was because I pursued someone called someone did my resume tapes Senate in I was like, what am I paying this guy? You know, ten percent four to do. Nothing. See that's what I've always. That's I've always thought because this guy's this guy might be representing how many people at the top of your head their agency had guy. I don't know four fifty. I dunno. But your guy what do you have going to help? Well, maybe because I won't mind watch your full attention, man. You know, if you're going to get that unless you're I know exactly yeah. Bob Costas or or why anything's better than some of these knuckleheads who've come out of college and higher? They're like cousin or some. And they get strafed. Yeah. Those are the people you hear about going bankrupt. After about six years, am I wrong? No, absolutely. Right. It's it's usually never gonna get higher family for anything, especially finances that doesn't. Generally work out. Well, so who would you like to see coach this football team? I don't really know because I don't I don't know. Eric b enemy. I don't know. I don't have any inside info on on him or Taylor or or anybody. But I don't know I know the qualities I will I will like which we've gone through I want someone that's going to kind of establish a new culture have a little bit of enforcer role to them a little bit. You know, kind of, you know, not put up with Bs welding that would be would be good and. Yeah. Run a good tight ship. That'd be. Yeah. That's what I want. You get the impression that Marvin had his teacher's pet list. Do all and let me know where you're going to say, and do all coaches have their teachers coaches, you know, look, if you're producing you you're going to get you know, a few more chances than the guy who's not. So I mean, look every every coach and this is only. Skin, human nature. There's guys you like and guys you don't like guys, you you value as players and guys you don't I've found that out. I was when I was my four years or the titans defensive coordinator, Jim shore. She's now a DC for the eagles. Love me. Love my game. Love my mentality. Love my the same thing with the LB coach Cayenne while the next year. I went to. I signed the contract with Dallas. And I went the other Mike Zimmer was the defensive coordinator. And he couldn't have given a damn about me. Didn't just didn't. I was the same guy was new no differ. I was the same player. Same same thing. Just didn't didn't value me. So again, it's just human nature some guys, which is always. New boss and your boss liked. You new boss comes in. You've been you're the same Eddie fingers. But the new boss, maybe, I don't necessarily see whatever. I'm so crazy about this guy. Oh, oh, I've seen that act before for sure. Yeah. Yeah. There was a couple of different times. You might get used to somebody. You're you know, you're totally good. Maggie. Yeah. Yeah. Interlock, and then they go to a better job or whatever. The new guy comes in. And. Yeah. And basically, it's I ain't that guy. We don't have the same relationship. Like, Dan how you're doing a groundwork? Here we go I'm gonna make your life a grind. Yes..

"But for the most part, Jared, cough was as you mentioned missing missing some throws that he usually is able to make because he was getting hurried up. Michael Bennett was able to make some noise in that front four in that front seven for the eagles was able to do something that we haven't really seen them do since last season. Alshon Jeffery looked like he was the same guy from the playoffs last year. He gets a all eight of his targets for eight hundred six yards in score. Touchdown. But you know, you could see the relationship between foles and Jeffrey, and they they can't mentioned this during the broadcast because cons worth brought it up that it was like a backyard football game with foale's in the huddle. And you saw the difference in that offense was what the eagles were able to do. And how. Much more comfortable, they looked you know with Peterson with foale's in the huddle. And from your vantage point Lombardi just watching this game. How crazy is it? A si that eagles team seem to get offense of rhythm and a flow with falls under center. And how different they just looked overall. As a team. Why thank you know. Yeah. The eagles the eagles. Look good. But I mean, I thought more than anything about the Rams are horrendous on defense. I think the Rams have been horrendous on defense. I think for all these name players that they have over there. Adama can sue. I don't see him do anything inside. You know, he's got all every opportunity to be single blocked because protections always slide into Donald. I don't see them making a play. I think you know, Collins said you can't throw the ball over to Toledo. Hell they were throwing the ball over to lead the whole game. I mean tha leaves whether he's one hundred percent or not he's not the same keep to leave that he was three years ago. You can throw on them. Same thing with Marcus Peters. Everybody in the league goes after Marcus Peters. They challenge them. They double move them. And I just think this ram team. They're debt is not very good. The injuries are setting in. But more than anything if. If you look at the last three weeks, and you know, Jared Goff has been ride in the Sean McVay train, but the last three weeks tape Frazier seven interceptions one touchdown averaging five point five two five yards per attempt. He's only made three plays in the last three weeks of over twenty five yards. I mean, his numbers are remarkably bad. This is this is pre Sean McVay Jared Goff. And I wrote the column on the Aflac about would you pay Jared Goff thirty million? I said I needed more time and after and if he doesn't improve look he's got San Francisco this week. And then he has you know, I think he has Arizona this week. Then San Francisco I mean, those are the teams he plays well against but last year in the playoffs. He was the worst quarterback in the playoffs. I set at last year after the game this year in the homestretch. He's been really bad. And I think to me that's got a concern. The Rams I tweeted the other night. I mean, obviously, obviously Cooper Cup has to be the MVP because he's the only piece missing. Now, look, I know Austin blind. The right guard is her is not playing very well. I get that. He's not playing good at all. But God almighty, how can this offense be this bad at when it was so good one thing that you can point out when you look at his offense. And a reason why they may not be what they were is because Todd Gurley at this point. He is injured he is banged up. I mean, he got hurt in this game was what they were saying. I think he got hurt and Kansas City to tape Frazier. He city he's been hurt. You know, you can see that he is limping around and he's trying to play third. I mean, he missed most of the third quarter in this game. And even when he was able to come back when they head that goal line Saint after they they realized that Reynolds was down short of the goal on any comment comes in his scores. A touchdown once he hits the ground there. I mean, it took a lot of effort for him to get up and keep going. There is whole team. Dolphins Alon picked him up. Whitworth just pulled him straight up from there..

"He's never seen before they're going to be able to disguise some things and trick him and show him in this lead him in ways that you can't do to a guy that's in his ten year. He's in. For all intents and purposes the second year of his NFL career, and he's a borderline VP Canada. Or at least he was until Sunday night in Chicago. Everybody needs to take deep breath. They do need take take a deep breath. But I can see where the worries come from only in the sense that this is an eleven win team. But they've they've got vulnerabilities. I mean, their their defense is not lights out. They've str-. They have struggled against the run two years in a row, you know, the period where keep to leave was out. You saw the secondary. Not look quite as deep as it seemed, you know at the beginning of the season. And you know, Jared Goff is a good quarterback. But he's not a proven quarterback. Yeah. And like this is not a proven team when it comes to the playoffs. You know, they've been there one time they lost. I think a lot of that was jitters a lot of just experiencing it all the same time, including by the way, Sean McVeigh John McVay had never experienced the playoffs as a head coach. But that's where the concern. I think from fans would come in is just there's no template. You don't know what this team looks like in the playoffs because you just haven't seen it EMC enough sample size with this guy with his team as a group period. It's the last box that Sean McVay Jared Goff in really the entire Rams organization needs to check they checked. The we've got good players. They've checked the will pay people. They'll say they've checked we can win on the road against a good team. They've checked a were behind in the fourth quarter. And can you drive on the field and get a score? And you have to have it. They've done all the one thing. They haven't done is playoff stuff. And you can only do that by getting in. And they're they're in again. So we'll see how go I mean. But that's what matters though. Of course, it is. Of course, it is. But the one part of the your about that their defense is you have to separate the two separate categories. You have to separate it into with to leave and without in with him the forgives they've played with him. They've given zero thirteen fifteen and sixteen. Okay. And I understand rate. Cardinals are in that mix. But those are the four games they've played with him the other games without him. They've given up a ton of points a ton of yards with to leave. They're very very different. So we'll see it again this weekend. I almost think you have to have two separate categories with him in without one is what they look like with two Leib against a good offense the against a really good offense. How good can they be? You're not gonna see it until the playoffs because that's not Philly. That's certainly not Arizona air. And so you're you'll see I mean, you're talking about Seattle or Dallas those that's who you play. If you're the one it's Seattle or Dallas, depending on how the other one goes. But Green Bay Minnesota. And Chicago those are the other options that you're going to be looking at. None of the maybe Seattle has a great offense. But the rest dodgers in the hunt land, Bryce Harper. But to they already have a cheaper version. Updated poll results how we doing well earlier it was tied while actually the pull the question was best SNL stance. Had tonight live if you don't know skit or movie skit to a movie, right? Yeah. "I mean, some people just could not accept their and Rogers. They still can't accept Aaron Rodgers even after bringing a Super Bowl to Green Bay and being the best player in football. They still love Brett farve. Let's let's stick on those. People were crazy, we'll we'll put a button LeBron Steph and we'll get back to that too because I know Omar apps is one of those guys who like a lot of Kobe fans. He just like a LeBron fan. So I guess he'll become a Lakers fan. Now there's some people just follow their favorite players around. So we'll get into that with Elmore when he. Comes show, but you mentioned Aaron Rodgers who played in in this preseason game. It was the second game for the Packers, right? Yeah. And Tom Brady played in the second game for the patriots. The first game. Why was the game one? Because week one. Why? Why? Why are we going to see any ram starters? Why are we going to see Goff take any balls under center? If we're going to see Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady and these guys get? This is interesting because they're practicing well, they're improving upon what they've done last year. The highest scoring team in the in the NFL last season was the LA Rams and they've improved upon that in practice. So Sean McVay, Jared Goff Todd Gurley, the offensive line, the receivers. They're happy with where they are right now. So the last thing you wanna do is risk people because from from receiver on down to your right guard, right, tackle your pretty good one of the best teams in the league. You lose a guy here or there that goes away a little bit. Yeah, this is the second game for the the Packers. So you know their position to be one of the more high powered offenses in the NFL. Despite not having some of their previous guys Jordy Nelson or it's because you got Aaron Rodgers and he's playing in a game two in the preseason. Just think, I don't know. It's it's interesting to me the idea that just Goff you're not gonna see him at all in Saturday, not even for a series. I mean, do you remember? I don't remember any Peyton Manning snaps in the preseason. Some guys just don't play some guys just don't need it..
