"Beverly. The month. Really, really is. I bought that movie. I own the movie. I have to watch that movie. Uh, I like this version better in the single Me too. Who's that guy? Who's that Blue man Group guy? Bogus. So I'm in the Marvel movies? Oh, yeah. What you think Who's the Blue man guy like God? What is that guy? I love Marvel, my love superhero movies. Why is that guy running around in spandex, red, white and blue? You know, Captain Missouri or whatever his name is. That's not his name. The whole country. It's all 50 states like that. The captain Missouri, some minor leagues. You should be captain Iowa. I'd love to me, Captain Iowa. I would love to be Captain Iowa. All right, um We talked yesterday. One of what a day yesterday was urban was imminent, and now it's done. We talked about that obviously started the show and hardened was Annette. And they wouldn't the folks in broken wouldn't talk until his official and now we've heard from Sean Marks is a very impressive GM built something really lasting and really Important, but He was spewing some some hot garbage yesterday. He just he just was and You know, I know the Nets are going to write me back now. But that was kind of true The moment that Kyrie was there, so you know it's honesty is honesty. It really annoys me when people insult the intelligence of their fans and the media who cover them and I get that is a tough spot with carry out, but I don't know. I need the GM of the Net. Sean marks to be talking to me about family the family dynamic as it relates to what's going on, Carrie. I don't speculate. And so why he's out, and so far, I've had conversations with him. You know, and I'll continue to have conversations and we look forward to him being back in the gym where you know hell will address this and you know we'll sit down with him. He's part of our family. This group is part of our family will continue to build with the group that's here. Won't even talking about One family, the one that just traded away brother Caress and brother Jared. It's not a family. That is the most tired. Old Crass craven. Shallow. Bs that you can throw these family That fam The fan. The trio of Ah, the triplets of Katie hardened, carry all have player options in a year and a half. And guess what they're not going to do if things don't go well. Their egos don't go well. Well, it's gonna leave those family here. Family this Thanksgiving dinner. Gotta stay. I'll take a bacon. No, man. This doesn't work, FAM. You're getting fired Sean, and he's a great Jim. This is a cut through a brutal business. That's why you got to trade Kyrie Irving. That's what you gotta do, Fam. Family. The last guy that told me I was part of a family of work. Cheated me out of a lot of money when I left, so Look, uh We're gonna sue you for You know, in a way that's probably not fair just to Take away the remainder of the contract. Love you. That's a true story, By the way, what we do Can I get the pictures of my kids back? No, they're still there. The family. Give me a break. A break. It's not a family. It's a cut, throat cut throat business. And that's why you have to recognize It's not gonna work with Harden and Duran and Kyrie in this order. Here's what I would do if I were shot marks one. Try to rehabilitate carries image. That you can find one GM Wouldn't take the risk on just wouldn't personally. But there are organizations that will I mean, the Raptors are interesting. They're desperate. They're desperate, and I don't You're not gonna get a lot of return on Cary, Who cares if I one place? It'll take him because Carly will play there will pretend to play there until he leaves that that spot. I think the Pacers would have been interesting, actually. With Kyrie, but I wouldn't do it and I really like the fact they brought in the vert. I think that's a really interesting edition. There's in places that make a lot of sense. That's playing one. You tried to trade him plan to if you don't think you can do that. You tried to exacerbate his frustration so he doesn't come back and you have to Pam. That's a better basketball team without Kyrie, even if you get nothing in return. I think there's a deeper problem here. The risk. Of the wheels coming off just in terms of how Durant and Harden and Kyrie feel about being nets. The risk that becomes toxic is exponentially higher with every one of those three personalities that God Have all three guys. The odds are very high. It's going to be a miserable experience. Of individual experience. The odds are really high that Warner multiple. Those guys were gonna opt out. You. You think both hardening, Kyra, you're gonna Not up down a year and a half to play each other. One of them's gonna leave, so choose which one now and get rid of them so you can have success. And you can increase the odds and increase the likelihood That the guys you choose hard and drink are gonna be the ones and by the way, let me just throw shots in Oklahoma City. Thunder president, GM guru Sam Presti because no one will do it, even though God, I'm so tired of people that I respect the best in the business. He had. Durant was brokenhearted of the primes, and I don't want to be a championship..

It is here Divisional round weekend often times cited as the best football weekend of the year, four games the final eight teams to Saturday to Sunday and we will break them all down this morning on the show. No, Who was gonna be our special guest this morning to do so How about one of the members of the NFL's all 1/100 anniversary team? This guy was a character and had personality back when you were not supposed to have either of those things on the football field. It was all business all the time. Billy White shoes. Johnson is going to join us. He of the funky chicken back in the seventies and eighties, was one of the greatest special teams Ace returners in NFL history. A member of the 75th anniversary team and the NFL's 1/100 anniversary team. Billy White shoes is going to be joining us coming up here on the show in our number four. It is a Friday, which means that the target demo Friday, which means when you see the D, a show MIM. We will describe that to you coming up shortly. Some believe they can. We've also got Lamar Jackson versus Josh Allen. Could that be the best quarterback matchup of the weekend? As always, you can join us at 855 to 1 to four CBS the tape 55 to 1 to 4 to 27 or on Twitter. D a on CBS. But let's begin in Brooklyn, where the next now have their big three and it is official James Harden is a member of the Nets. And now we finally have The parts of the puzzle who are going to speak about the puzzle, namely the GM that pulled the trigger Sean Marks who came to the Brooklyn Nets to clean up the incredible mess that was left behind by Billy King in the previous administration. Especially after that Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett trade has done just about everything right? Sean Marks was able to very, very smartly and with savvy Absorbed terrible contracts in return, Pick up draft picks in return Pick up guys that couldn't be afforded by their previous team, rehabilitate them like a D'Angelo Russell turned them into assets. And little by little by little build it back up to a very reputable organization. Also, he oversaw the construction of one of the best practice facilities and all of the MBA. So the Nets Struck it. Rich struck gold with Sean marks as their GM, but now his entire existence is on the line. Because there's no room for error here. Once you pick up James Harden to add to Katie and Kyrie, Irving and you rip away all of the young pieces in all of the draft picks, you gotta win. And if you don't win at it implodes Then that's the blood on your hands. Let's face it. If this thing goes sour, Sean Marks will be blamed, and that's organizational be back to being a punch line. The first part of that is these three stars have to buy in. That so much is on them. Reputations, legacies jobs so much is on them. They have to understand what's at stake, and they can't be immature or petulant or dismissive of their responsibilities. Do we trust that the Nets stars have bought into this idea? It is where we begin your cold Open. We've had conversations with him and he's so eager to get on the court. With these guys and be part of this and start fresh, so visit excitement. I know our group is excited at coaching staff is excited. I spoke to kind Kevin yesterday as this was going down, getting their thoughts and really wanting to hear what the commitment was going to be what they conviction for this Watts and you know, I know Joseph. I had the same conversation..
Kyrie Irving's absence from Nets will continue; NBA, Nets to review videos that appear to show party
"Talking a little bit about the situation with kyrie irving and the brooklyn nets just to highlight it. Kyri sorta went awol. This week ended up according to video at his sisters thirtieth birthday party. Without a mask he is going to deal with some covert protocol issues right now and there's really no explanation. Why he disappeared in the first place. Mike what do you do for with kyrie irving. Well simple if i was sean marks. Gm would call kerry in or text him or call him on the phone or whatever and asking plain and simple. Are you in as your heart in this or not. Yes or no and if he says yes and get your behind back here to work and let's go to work. This is unfair to your teammates and to the brooklyn fans. Either in or you're out one of you can't be halfway can't be you know we all have personal things to deal with in our lives. We all have to work through them. You know death sickness. Whatever but you gotta find out is are you in this year or not. Let me know now. Yeah i don't know if with that's an if he'd says no. I don't notice it will tell you what we'll just put your leave of absence. I'll try to do it without you. Do you really think re- ever knows his. "Sean Mark Macon is here. His new book is July 1914 Countdown to War and in his epilogue. He looks at what if what if Sarajevo had not happened? Would these men have maneuvered toured European catastrophe In any event? What if Franz Ferdinand had remained because he certainly was in place because he was certainly was a block to back told in Conrad's intentions to declare war on Serbia many times. Franz Ferdinand had had stopped their efforts to declare war and March on Belgrad many times. But in Germany, Germany's relationship to Vienna is hard to read. It was an alliance. But it was a strange alliance that Germans and their superiority of warfare and the number of men they have and how they were prepared to fight a two front war. Looked upon the Austrians as allies but weak allies to be manipulated Professor. Let's start with the question of the Kaiser. Right now, the Kaiser's on holiday when these events happen, he certainly is kept informed. He doesn't return to Berlin until the 28th does he want Does he bear responsibility for not stopping? What we know is going on in Vienna, could he have reached in there early and turned it off? It's quite possible that he could have the curious thing about the kind serious people can say all kinds of things about him because he put so much down on paper. They were the famous marginalia that if he would get these documents from the military men, the Admiralty or his diplomats, and he would scribble these comments all over them. And so for a century Because the Germans kept such good records, we've been able to kind of Pour through these margin, Alia and even some of the official documents and you can come up with almost any view of the kinds or you like he was belligerent. He was hotheaded. He was ultimately a pacifist. He was a coward. He was neurotic. In a way it sold through. I mean, it was all of these sex and he was a man of immense contradictions. Before the actual July crisis began, however, he was first and foremost, despite his reputation for being erratic. He was ultimately something of a voice for peace alongside France Ferdman that is the military men in Germany. They had been talking for years about the Russian threat, and so on. That Russia was getting stronger every year. We need to strike. They even have a discussion about this in the first Balkan war in December, 1912 the Kaiser said. Absolutely not. I'm certainly not gonna have us go to war because you know some problem that the Austrians are having the Serbia. The Kaiser was, if anything, even oddly pro Serbian by German standards. The assassination, really degeneration. That's said by the end of July. For the most part, he had begun to view things somewhat rationally. It wasn't in his early stages of kind of outrage from the assassination that he did authorize this so called blank check. That is that Germany would offer support for Austria. Get in whatever she did against Serbia By the end of the month, though he had begun to have second thoughts about this, especially after is we were discussing earlier in the program. He actually read Serbia's reply to the ultimatum, which, while not by any means and unambiguous acceptance, was fairly conciliatory on many points theme kind. You're actually wanted them. Intervene and to mediate in Vienna to mediate some sort of settlement where the service would be forced to give way and possibly endure some humiliating occupation of Belgrade with the Austrians might have to back down on some of the points, too. What happened then was actually somewhat contingent because The kinds of actually gave these instructions. And as I was saying earlier in the program, his chance for bet mom undermined him. But some of it was also simply because the kind of there was not a man who was in the habit of using the telephone, and so his instructions were actually sent by private courier. So it took them over an hour to get to Berlin before they could be sent to Vienna, and even then, because he thought they were so sensitive. He wanted them to be sent essentially again, by way of the males. Just say not by telegraph. So the kinds of didn't realize the urgency because he had just been told the Austrians were not going to actually declare war for another two weeks. Some of it was a pure accident, but as far as his intentions I do think that the kinds of with the so called hold on Belgrade initiative towards the end of the month. I do think the kind sir would have white to mediate some kind of a settlement. When he was undermined part with by accident, partly by timing, partly by his own chancellor. And then there was a lot of undermining simply because what they're told was up to in Vienna. You know that is it, Bear told basically gave the world instead of complete, which undermine any possible diplomatic initiative. The determines would have wanted to pursue just quickly here, Shawn because I want to move on to France and Russia. Bat men, the the chancellor and Yongle, the state secretary. They conspire it one point to maneuver the Kaiser. Are they guilty of that? Does he know he's being maneuvered by them? The 28th in the 29th. We just have a minute, Sean. I think that's right. If the chancellor and part of me the only thing I've seen Bet Mom's defense is that once he realized the policy at dawn wall, he did offer to resign. The Kaiser is, in a sense, the Kaiser's worst act of the entire week was probably not to accept the resignation of the chancellor. You know, he actually put it Very colorfully. You know, you said you've cooked this broth and now you're going to eat it. You know, that is you're going to deal with this policy that you've unleashed, even though the Kaiser himself enough to unleash it now, bet Mom knowing it was sunset Impossible Policy dilemma. He was in a difficult situation, but yes, he absolutely did try to manipulate the Kaiser s O did ya cow? Although he was really, I think more in the back seat. I think it was the chance for her really was driving policy and on the 28th. When Vienna does declare war on Serbia doesn't do anything about it because their armies not mobilized until the middle of August. Once that passes, we can say that the Kaiser and Bettman and Yago at that point were plunged into a situation that they could have turned off. Is that fair to say they could have turned it off after After the declaration of war by Austria. Well, they did try. In fact, Bittman tried to turn it off even after the declaration of war. By the time he got these messages through to Vienna, though they had to some extent become overtaken by events. All right, the Austrians had said Stop paying attention will turn to events. They were really trapped. By that point, there was very little the Germans could do to slow down. The mechanism will will turn to events in Petersburg next because France and Russia are on top of a place to look for fresh opinions off who's at fault? The Germans, The Serbians and the Austrians is certainly accused. What about the French and the Russians? I'm John Bachelor. This is the John back position..
Brooklyn Nets Hire Steve Nash As Head Coach
"We are here. On the heels of a big announcement. Yeah. Steve Nash Future Hall of Famer. Future Hall. Of famer is the coach new coach of the Brooklyn Nets. What's going on listen I? Think it's it's it's a good. It's a good pairing with him and Katie. You know as well as anybody that there was a pre existing relationship Steve was a player development consultant for Golden State. He spent a Lotta time with Kevin Durant is I would talk to him over the years about his experiences. In golden state like not just learning from Steve Kerr and those guys who specifically he was working within. Golden State and it always Katie was always you know like one of the names that he said a lot what I thought he'd be working with the guard so that relationship and then you sean marks played with him in Phoenix. So there's a real. There's a real respect there as well. So I think it made a lot of sense.

"Let's go. Let's go to the South Street Seaport you're watching on ESPN News. Looks like a great gay key and J R Rock it out this morning to go aside. It's a great day to get in and he'd walk a block and and you've got a sweater on August in New York City with a sweater. He would have been days when he surprised you say you want to walk to your vehicle it just imagine it heat. Let me take you inside real quick. Keep parks like right next to the studios. Quiet. I had a walk across the street two blocks apart. Right next to the studio. I'd be all good. I got a note this morning from Justin. He's like, you know, he's a producer, So he's like. Hey, look, mate. You can't park here anymore. Mike, What do we talk about? That's what I'm that's what we cannot park every day. I have nothing to do with the parking at all. Do I look like a valet or anything like that? No, I don't So I don't know what What? What is it? Dolly look like Oh, God. It takes two keys import a car, so I don't know what people park the cars and let's quickly park the discussion on pop here right? Five titles with the Spurs. Great. Overall resume has been terrific. Maybe wants to leave it in the wings for Becky him, And maybe it's time to do something else and J. There have been some rumors. Hear some chatter in the last 24 to 48 hours that the the Nets are interested in. You have some very interesting intel for our audio. Rana was very interesting Intel but you know, I have had Conversation when Sean Marks and I kind of flooded the name Greg Popovich out there, and he kind of laughed at and say, you know, let's talk about things that are reasonable. But if you're a Brooklyn Nets fan Let's be factual about this. You have two entities on his team and Katie and Curry, which the one question people have for next year's. How's this roller coaster ride going to go? Obviously, there's a lot of talk that things have happened with Kyrie and things of that sort. Who are the best coaching candidates out there for these two individuals, I would say one a. Gregg Popovich. One be Tyler. That's it. Short list that is it. Maybe Mark Jackson. But I don't know how people feel about Mark Jackson. Considering his time with Golden State. I've been hearing mixed reviews, and I like Mark Jackson. I think he may be able to handle that. But obviously tie Luke handling their relation between between LeBron James and Kyrie has a relationship with Kyrie, I I think he could help there. But Gregg Popovich Everything about passing the baton. You pass it to Becky Hammon, and then you come to Brooklyn for one last hurrah. If that's the case, I don't know how much long Papa wants a coach, but the opportunity to coach Kevin Durant and Kyrie if there was one person that without regard they would listen to hand down. That would be a guy who is one of the greatest coaches to ever coach the game who has won five championships as one multiple coaches of the Year award. It seems like he would be the one feasible choice for this organization Keyshawn J..

"Antonio and lets GM Sean Marks used to work in this person office. So inside you're offsides. Gregg Popovich will be the next head coach of the Brooklyn Nets off sides. I think that's a fantasy world. Cops. Last job's going to be in San Antonio Spurs. I would think he's gonna be back with the Spurs next year. Who's going to be coaching the Nets? I would probably guessed. Hi, Luke. And I would rather have Greg Popovich than Tyler. But it seems like Tyler is going to be the guy not saying that Katie and Cary don't like Gregg Popovich, but I would think they would bring in someone who's a lesser name. Still a championship winning coach. I give LeBron most of the credit for winning that Tyler just what happens when you play play with LeBron or play Brown place for you? That's just the way that it goes. But I would be surprised Pop in Brooklyn. I get the show on Mark's connection and all that. That one would surprise me. It would be a good move, though, for pop. Get back in the championship contending picks. You're not going to another championship with San Antonio Spurs with a team that you have right now, if you go with the Nets Maybe a coach for another 345 more years. Who knows? And if Cady and Kyrie could be healthy, your in the championship contending picture? Yeah, listen, a spot to get to the finals in the in the Eastern Conference. Is the Bucks biggest competition next year. Most likely will be the Brooklyn Nets. And wouldn't that be something Mikey B. Would be all going nuts going crazy. Spurs won speed the Nets in the finals. That was the Admiral David Robinson's final game. And then pop who was coaching That team ends up coach of the Nets and maybe wins a championship of Brooklyn. Mikey B. Would like that. Unfortunately for Mikey B. I don't think it's gonna be the coach next year offsides. Los EIN number. Los Angeles Dodgers left hand pitcher David Price became one of the latest place to opt out of the 2020 season without his decision on Saturday for a message posted on social media accounts. Now, the Dodgers have said a full support price decision, said the season Have to go back to remember. The Dodgers acquired price along with after the movie bets as part ofthe season share with the Boston Red Sox. So insides are offsides. The Dodgers will represent the NL in the World Series. Here's my question to you. If I say the Dodgers don't get to the World Series, Who's the team? In the end all that you like? I know the Braves just lost Markakis. And Freddie Freeman has the Corona virus Nationals tough to expect him to repeat again. They don't have rent don't anymore, but they solve a very good pitching.

"Right now the nets are one of the more star studded teams in Bass ball this summer they went out and signed Kyrie Irving Kevin Durant De'andre Jordan and while Katie's not playing this year they are still seen as contenders but back in twenty six eighteen when coach Kenny Atkinson I came on board what did this team look like it was just a lot of hope and nothing much to base it on they won twenty games his first year they didn't win a game in February and they honestly really didn't have any genuine cowan right they traded for aging vets Paul Pearson Kevin Garnett well it's funny billy king and broker off before them decided to put all their chips in and give away all of the future first round picks and it was one of the most lopsided deals in history it's one thing right to have young players and not a lot of games I think we call that tanking but they couldn't even do that because they weren't even eligible to get the draft picks to draft picks we're going to the Boston Celtics who are picking guys like Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum with those picks so nets were behind the ball then when they hired a new GM Sean marks at twenty six teen what was his approach well Sean was just he's just so smart in Kenny's the same way they were really stuck on what's our culture going to be we're going to play unselfishly it's going to be a player I organization we're going to see solidifies player performance and so you need the right kind of player to buy into that now you know a guy like Joe Harris who had an accomplished anything yet of course he was gonNA buy in but that's why they stay away from some of the veterans because they were afraid they wouldn't they just felt it was really important to establish that foundation as they went forward here so this culture that the nets were establishing it was markedly different from the rest of the NBA it wasn't a it was revolutionary but they just took it to another level check out the Brooklyn practice facility it's the nicest one in the league it's cold tubs hot tub store eight of the yard pools to help with conditioning there's a rooftop that has the most magnificent view of the New York skyline they wanted to make their facility so attractive that guys would want to stay there every day if you come in let's say it's a practice day you'll get a text the night before and they'll say okay your table time is it was just say eight thirty in the morning so you go to your table and they have a physical therapist there they have a massage therapist there and they say what hurts wouldn't you love that Meena I I'd love table time how do I get how do I sign up in my own home and so you get twenty minutes thirty minutes they work on whatever's bothering you whatever hurts and then you go into the weight room for about a half an hour then you go onto the court for individual one on one work can last up to forty five minutes so you've already spent two hours at the facility you and you haven't even started practice yet so that is a little different than other places so the nets debuted this very distinct culture right there really rebuilding because ravage the roster was when does it start to work obviously really wasn't working that first year the you know the Andre Jordan told me Oh yeah you know I remember going in there and thinking wow these I play hard I mean we're GONNA kill them they're gonNA play hard and you know so the second year it got a little better and I think really it was last year they started to see some of the it's Joe Harris led the league in three point shooting percentage last year and all of a sudden all this work and this culture seemed to kick in a little bit they won forty two games way ahead of schedule I don't think Shaun Kenny expected to make the playoffs within three years but that's what happens Brooklyn which is a playoff spot they had not made the playoffs in eight of the last eleven years you know Kenny Atkinson's reputation has off the charts in his time there because even players who leave like jared Dudley Demari Carol tell everybody yeah he works hard but man is he all about you and then the same thing has and was Sean marks they they put the players I and in this day and age is there anything more than an NBA player wants to hear then we're GonNa put you first what do you need so the nets establish their own culture and their teams increasingly competitive at the same time what was going on with Kyri Katie and De'andre so Jordan and durant and Kyrie we're all on the two thousand sixteen Olympic team in Rio they were on a boat a cruise liner vote was quite elegant an open pool asana several dining rooms a cigar bar because every NBA player needs that twenty four hour room service beds that especially made for seven foot basketball players K. D. in Jordan we're already really really super tight in fact I think right before the Olympics they went and got tattoos together Vegas to prepare for the Rio Games now durant had great respect for Kyrie's game but he didn't know him that well so they get to real remember coverage just hit that big shot to beat the golden state WARRIORS PUTS IT UP precooked Cleveland is and Kyrie was tired along year he made the big shot so he wasn't really invested the way durant wanted to be and he said something to him he challenge him and you know Durant told me the other day that the way kyrie responded which was favourably and positively said Yep you're right I gotta give you more was at the beginning of their bond so one of their last night's real lincoln drinks at one of the many bars and lounges on that ship and Kyrie said you know we should do this for real Indiana Georgia's civil what do you mean he said we should all play together so the groundwork for these three players playing together is laid on this vote outside Rio three years ago what happens is summer how do they finally come together well that's a good question they say that they all go on a conference call and say hey let's do this then with Katie and Dj was you know four sixteen in the morning us just talking about our futures and later on that day we just decided hey we're just going to break this like we're doing this another that's what they have to say because tampering would be at work I do believe member of the very famous view I think you and I talked about together on around the horn talking in the tunnel after the All Star game in Cairo whispering to each other and the tunnel yeah being lip read by some of the op the breeders in the world I bet that's what they were talking about this there's no doubt my mind they were texting all the time these guys text a lot they weren't touch with one another I'm sure it was in the works for a while I don't know if we'll ever know that for sure just because of how tampering works in the league

"So you know what that means what why is okay we got a new we will have a dog start it is I don't know that you could recognize the voice of one Anthony Davis because lebron was talking over him so you got lebron sons there is well as his wife who is just not really into it you've got all kinds of special guests including one AT T. who is sitting there the table taco Tuesday I thought it was too is lower Tuesday why isn't anybody as excited about that I felt the need to be original and different but we should all love one food as much as lebron James love taco Tuesday again the video from his Twitter account fact Chris if you want to put that on our Twitter account or retweet that be cool after hours Phoebe yes and again you can send your questions same Twitter account or on our Facebook page for ask Amy anything why were talking about the NBA kinda were more really talking about tacos about lebron James introduced us to the world of the NBA all season when you can eat as many tacos as you want Sean marks the general manager of the Brooklyn nets making his first comments about Kevin Durant and chi re rving and the frenzy in free agency for probably not the New York Knicks but Brooklyn a similar situation to what you've got in Los Angeles where the net who used to be in New Jersey have always been looked at as a sort of kid brother not even want to be taken seriously to the New York Knicks and it really doesn't have a whole lot to do with the winning a more just has to do with the idea that these are the big bad mix to play at Madison Square Garden who sell out there read every night no matter what they do or who's on the roster a tradition that goes back decades and then you've got the nets who make deals to bring in Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce and mortgage the farm for dish a decade not to be taken seriously right well think again because now they've got the star power in the metro so for the nets of course getting Tyree Irving and de Andre Jordan who will play immediately but also having Kevin Durant shoes with the Brooklyn nets to the best of my knowledge we have not yet heard from KD maybe at some point he'll explain why other than wanting to play with kai re and younger Jordan which we know but why the nets but according to GM Sean marks your ray had a very specific reason for choosing Brooklyn I love the system I love how you guys play you know I see how hot your guards let you would never out of games you know I we could never take you guys lightly I was one of the first things he said although could describe a whole lot of teams out there I don't know that that was purpose uber specific I was at Pacific over specific I love the system I love that you guys play I see how hard although he's inside you guys play you were never out of games we could never take you guys lately but I mean there's a lot of teams out there you could say that about including the one he was all so John marks also tells our New York affiliate WFAA and he did not have any conversations with Cady both for his choice or chi res choice but he said it didn't bother me at all who doesn't want K. D. on the roster can do this doesn't even shock me anymore mark found out about Kevin Durant decision in the same way that most people did on Katie the Instagram account right after free agency began although correct me if I'm wrong I'm pretty sure that his was one of the pieces of news that broke early remember Saturday I know the calorie Irving news broke on Saturday free agency wasn't supposed to start in till Sunday and I'm pretty sure that the KGB chi read news got leaked on Saturday so maybe Sean marks wasn't paying any attention to social media or maybe nobody told him but you got to think he be involved in the process now I mean isn't he the guy who makes her eighth I don't think this is just all right so Kevin Durant can decide he's going to go to Brooklyn without actually talking to the general manager I guess I guess the GM's inconsequential in this particular equation if Kevin Durant chi re Irving decide they want to play for your franchise will then you just pay them sign and trade right although that could've been worked out after the fact all I did this further solidify how much the players Rhonda the NBA it's the total opposite of the NFL I mean they're certainly players in the NFL who are talented enough to dictate what they may get when they play they they can use a hold out as leverage what is John March is telling the truth but he found out on Katie's Instagram account then that means Kevin Durant in his camp his age and his business partner who is actually located in New York never reached out to the net or the general manager to say Hey we'd like to come play for you they did have to make a pitch Katie just put on Instagram I mean can you imagine in our business you guys if I decided I wanted to go I mean I I love the job I have so I I hesitate to to pick another media entity because I'm not looking to go anywhere else well let's just say for the sake of argument I decided I wanted to be the the lead play by play announcer on TNT so I just put it out on the street yeah I'm taking my talents to T. and T. I mean I don't have to talk anyone into your deep I mean obviously to lose analogy I'm not Kevin Durant but you you get my point he didn't actually talk to anyone with a net about the only one that thinks is weird you guys are not really like thing anything I don't know what's going on with Dave but he looks like if you look at the money right now what's going on with you what happened to you today you not sleep or you just want to be here I'm good now we are very much you're very uncommunicative of are you still mad about the fact that Chris stole your bad sports break got a live show not at all I mean you share lately news there we will build I think when they're able okay so what's going on in there then why are you guys not utilize topic you know when your calendar and I think you're essentially I know he's injured but essentially the best player in the league you can essentially do whatever you want so but never actually had contact the nets and say Hey can I complain superstars run the NBA and they've over the nasco St now we're good we don't want you so I mean they don't have to make a contract okay I use going to get the Max wherever wherever he went so Dave doesn't think it's weird crest I mean can you at least see my point of view of course I just yeah I just think it's more along the lines of with David saying in that Kevin Durant was dictating terms here wasn't the other way around the nets were kind of bowing at the the altar of Kevin Durant so to speak so it was it was his way or the highway and if his way was going online and saying Hey guys guess what I'm coming here and that's how they found out and if that's the new wave with the new age athlete that also might be shot at least lebron James talked about your job that before you pick the Lakers if you didn't would it have made a difference all right that we know he did because he was with magic well probably not I don't know though Magic Johnson is a pretty big ego I mean you're talking about probably the other way around though still is probably yet lebron was probably interviewing magic by talking to by saying do I really want to be here with you I want to see your mentality not the other way around I wonder if there's any other general manager out there that found out a player was joining his team via Instagram what happened in the NFL we could say that for pretty pretty damn sure did that did they aged at least talk to the owner Hey I know you own the demon all but I'm gonna come play there no questions asked after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio he also said that he wasn't sure about career being which is also do again just odd curry was one of the original pieces of news that dropped and I know that one what was out before Sunday's pre agency actually started and he said we weren't really sure what he was going to do I guess the general manager is the optional when it comes to superstars in free agency the but you're right lots of power I guess so we can try and give it works you guys would like to put out a post on Instagram or Twitter and now that you're going to a particular job like that this is just the Jack put your dream job out there Instagram or Twitter and see if it if it comes true that's a different situation but I think the Texans are going into the season without a general manager they are absolutely they all kinds of drama there the G. David Clowney deal that didn't get done until but it doesn't affect them on the field though the way their off season is gone not just this year but last year actually the second consecutive all season which they made a bunch of changes all right then your questions for ask Amy anything to our show Twitter after hours CBS you can also find us on Facebook I did post the pictures of penny and her her.

"He wasn't happy. He goes to Boston. They try and give them the keys to what looked like a really good fast driving car made the conference final a year ago. Not happy where what is going to make him happy. I don't know if again like we talk about Brooklyn Brooklyn. I'm going to say something right now probably knock it me invited back. I'm Sean marks I might rather have de ngelo Russell than Kyrie Irving. I know I know I know career because it much better basketball player. But this track record that you just mentioned. It went bad the last two times he switched teams. Well, let's switch he was on a team and we're going to do it again. And I'm gonna I'm gonna lock him in for hundreds of millions of dollars for years and years would have been goes like this. I love what I saw from which Middleton and also de ngelo Russell this year, become a first-time all-stars, but their challenge is to be perennial all-stars. Harry urban has done that he is all NBA. And I know you talking about the personality thing meter Meter shows. shows get it twisted. There's a different level to kyri Irvine's game. Then Angelo, obviously, obviously. I mean I'm not I'm not comparing them as basketball players. One time the second pick of the draft. I mean there are people who think he is a great player and can be a great player. Mark was the number one pick into. Nick. The JV hoping to make varsity award goes JV, hoping to make varsity, when you the B team in your own market, that's the clippers and the knits. They both outplayed expectations this year. No doubt about it. But now they're going to have them going into next year. They won't be sneaking up on anybody. But I love what the nets did and building at Tiv. Here's the Burt was on track to be an all star. He gets injured. They paid dumb witty Dinwiddie, rightfully so. And then all of a sudden Dangelo Russell emerges during the year and has an all star year. What about the clippers Lou Williams of six men at a year mantras haired? I love his game as a vet and obviously dog rivers did a terrific job a coat you think who is going to go to the clippers. There's something about coli Leonard with the smartest thing I can say about the question is I don't know. I don't know anything about this guy. I can see him. I see him the key to go the magic, and This it's is just like. a. I just I just don't really know what he's going to do. But like one thing is the clipper have is they've got a very solid front office and they've got a very solid head coach the soda raptors. That's how they just want to championship. I get my prediction. He signs the one in one in Toronto and still winds up with the clippers a year or two down the road. Final award Jalen the Mike McDermott memorial or his money. That's a reference from the movie rounders. Okay. Have you ever seen? Rounders masai. You Jerry gets this award. He's never seen round was left. Promise. He was lied into a microphone. How does not know who's in that game you said in your ear? I heard it to you alive. You'd never see rounders continue. But I do research four. So you with the. So United meet you live. Goupil apologize to the people you live. Well seen it all seen a YouTube clip. Okay. Okay. Okay. The Cy you Jerry took the ultimate gamble. Greenie that most GM's. Never do he trade it for a guy in the final year of his contract, along with, Danny green bought a championship pedigree to the locker room all of a sudden it paid out to the point where they want a championship it led to Elton brand. Doing the exact same thing Philadelphia. This is now going to be a new NBA trend..

"I don't wanna call you Bobby Sean marks, although that would be pretty via compliment right now. Man, I ran into Sean marks at the combine last. Year. Tried to say Hello. He clearly was like, why would you want my phone number? Like why do you think I would talk to you? I was like, okay, no problem. And then I saw this year and he could've been friendlier. So he just seems to be a happier guy and it makes sense because they've done in just a remarkable job at turn this thing around. So I'm not it's not a critique or compliment either way he just seemed like happier do. Or maybe he was like, I'll be nicer. Sure, he's in a better mood than he was two or three years ago. Right. Absolutely absolutely. No. He's done an awesome job. He's an awesome job. So it's almost like step one. Creeping in step two and we'll see what step three is this summer. So just a report the deal. Nets sending Allen crab and his contract, which just made people lose their minds on the went up seventeenth pick this year, and then a lottery protected twenty twenty first rounder, they Taurean prince back to make it all work and then a second round or a little bit later. So when you're doing this kind of deal, let's start actually before I do that. Let's start with, once you saw the initial reaction all the different things you thought of. I thought was when he called me was joking. Initial reaction. He called the early June agree to a trade doesn't happen. Right. I mean, I think I look back I look back on, like my notes like Ersan Ilyasova from like four years ago was like the earliest agreed upon deal in June. So it doesn't happen, especially two weeks way from the draft. So that was my initial response. And we'll call it us that you're joking. Right. Because I need to numbers, like, okay, here we go. And so my initial reaction is that Brooklyn. Now is now they're now we're talking basically have gone and bought some chips to go to the table to, to get into the card game here, and they were in positional ready to get potential max guy. But now we're talking about two. I know they like it would get lost in it. They liked told him prince a lot. They really do. I think he'll fit probably at the four for four Kenny, Atkinson replaced like the Mark Carroll there and I don't I get two first round picks. I don't think it's too steep, especially its lottery protected and it's protected for three for three. Eight years turns into two seconds. Now it's matter of what that, that cap space turns into the we know we've heard names. We all know the names out there. And I think the interesting thing Ryan is there if there is that notion that it is a Kevin Durant. Kyrie Irving pairing they're still a little work to do. They're not quite there, yet to get both players that they would need to move. You know, either that first round pick that they have twenty seven or another player here. So when you're doing this kind of deal. Outcry was one year left on that deal. And it was it was just like eighteen eighteen five something like that eighteen and that's Brooklyn. They're the ones who signed into that offer. She too. Yeah. Right. And then he goes to lens stays Portland matches it. And then it was like, wait a minute. You guys really want him because we'll try them back to you like a year later. So that whole thing it was like three different versions of regretting the same contract, which is hard to do that almost sets record. What is it like though when you when you don't know and for all of these teams like we can talk about the rumors the strong rumors the stuff you hear the stuff I hear, and I'm still not sure if anything I would put into definitive like this guy is going here, and it's absolutely going to happen, the kyri to Brooklyn thing has picked up more and more, which I think, is really funny, because everybody thought like it was this kyri Durant thing to the Knicks. And then you start to hear the kyri again, this is the kyri stuff..

"It's down upset with, you know him saying, I if you'll have you'll be forever, and then turn around and say, ask me, Joe, I one so. And of course there early exit he's getting the lion's share of the plane for that. So I'm sure if you're Danny aines, you're frustrated because you want to say to your fan base, but we, you, you might be mad at him, but we need him. He's a you know, transcendent talent, and you guys aren't helping our case, any by, but, you know, being so critical of this guy, of course, he doesn't like it here. With people are, you know, dumping on them. So he's a very complex guy, so talented, I've been told many times. He's an east coast guy. So to me, it was always Boston, New York Brooklyn, good for Sean marks. And for Kenny Atkinson, for the in the short amount of time for turning that into a destination, I can tell you, I've toured almost all the filth oscilloscopes in, in the NBA and Brooklyn is by far, the finest, so they have they have everything in place. But I don't know. I just don't know. I. Yeah. I, I don't know if anyone knows. Yeah. I the Kyrie's interested in that does not surprise me. Not when I o not one. Yeah. It's going to be it's going to be so wild because there's so many different potential permutations of how this all Kitin boy that ran through. How does that affect with kyri does young, it does? Maybe it doesn't at all we don't know. You don't really know. And you know hot Kevin Durant injury affect his future, visit making more likely to stay does it make it more likely to go. What if Golden State wins, Golden State loses? You know, there's so many different things you can look into here. So I mean but kyri to the to the nets that's not a landed in the slightest. And I think we've all in certainly won't just more plug in than anybody. I think we've all heard this, you know, I think for a while, and we've all felt as though it was Brooklyn, New York, and, and maybe Boston still had a chance to be in the mix. But that just that every passing day that teams feels less and less likely to me, there's years, the great Jackie MacMullan joining us here to talk. NBA on the Sudan show on ESPN LA. "Sixers lead the series three games to one. But that is not the story. We love soap opera in the story is Sean marks the general manager of the nets gets five twenty five thousand dollars and has to miss a game. And I don't know I guess you sit in your hotels like a player missing a game. But he he misses the game because there was a bit of a melee under the hoop and Jared Dudley who is already had his problems with Ben Simmons in this series goes after Joel Embiid or excuse me, Jared Allen. And then you're Dudley gets in there. And then in bead gets in there and Jimmy Butler gets in there, and indeed kind of goes out the back door, which is a brilliant thing for him to do because he knows he doesn't wanna get kicked out of the game. And then after all that because Sean marks didn't like the way that his players were treated, and he's probably frustrated being down three games to one. He tries to enter the. Ref room and let his opinions be known. And that's no, no, obviously, he gets fined twenty five thousand dollars S two Michigan against the rules. That was the role as a general manager. He's not field. You know, he's not field personnel. Mines Pat Haden coming out of the stands as the USC AD to argue with the official. I would did, you know for sure that general manager could not talk to the referees afterward. I probably didn't know that. But here's here's the thing that I at all this, okay? This series is highly entertaining. We were just talking about Westberg being a villain. These are the things that people like this whole thing people like, but the part about marks bothers me is exactly what you just said. Now, I don't know what the protocol is. And he's probably heated Sean marks for players. But the thing that bothers me is if I'm an official in any sport can touch me. I'm a God like figure I could do what I want say what I want and I'm pretty much protected. I'm the only person in sports who is not a held accountable for acts. Right. I'm not look, I don't know if it's right or wrong or they handed right or wrong. And I don't know why. Marxist so upset because his teams down through one probably because they're being manhandled. There's a lot of different things, but he wanted to talk to the fishing. You can't you can't talk to officials. Yeah. There's a two minute report. I understand that. But whether it's an empire and calls, whether it's an official in the NBA NHL officials. You can't talk to us. We're going to be swept the place which acuity all around us, and we're gonna go into a room, and poof, we disappear. No accountability. Let them talk. There's three teams on the court only two of them have full transparency, the others. Are there's no transparency. So I'd be all for the officials talking. You know, if you if you saw the play Embiid had a hard Fallon Jared Allen. Yep. And then along came Jared Dudley who, you know, two hundred thirty five pounds, and he sees himself as a veteran. He's talked about that through the entire. He's got a young team. He's the veterans the veteran, but he's also two hundred thirty five pounds play twenty minutes and zero rebounds. And he comes up on him bead game a little shove Jimmy Butler wasn't having it. And then the. Thing kind of spilled over into the crowd. I'll say this. I mean bought I mean, Philly's got terrific starting five and they're going to win this series three one. They law Philly. There's no answer for Joel Embiid for Brooklyn joy and be just totally dominated the game. And thirty two minutes thirty one sixteen boards, seven assists, a couple steals. Six blocked shots and bead was Iman. Stor. Philly was sixty two points in the paint, plus fourteen on the defensive glass. Brooklyn didn't have Davis, John. And I think it really hurt them. They missed the power for they missed that one that one extra body to bang inside into the night. John Larry Krueger. Should there? Be some way though, Sean marks can't run into the apparently can't run into the officials room because that is a that is sacred ground. Oh sacred ground. The officials. You can't talk to them can't touch him. Can't do anything. I understand the concept of it. Whether you're a team official or not just go running into the officials. I get it. But you have to have some sort of a count ability. Now, I'm not suggesting Tim Donaghy situation. I'm not saying that at all. But if I'm accountable your account will every player's accountable. Even the media for what they write is accountable. We'd constantly talk about it. But we don't know about the officials. In fact, I remember growing up. I didn't know an appears name. I didn't know officials name. I shouldn't know what officials name I shouldn't know numbers game name. I shouldn't know what a certain teams record is. When that guy officiates by NBA teams game. It's it's gotten out of control. And there needs to be something. And I'm not saying behind the scenes because I know behind the scenes, there's a grading system and everything else. But let let us know other than the two minute report. There's gotta be a way I'm not saying it look as fans as media. Well, maybe as media like if you made a certain call why did you make that call? Why can't we know that I think it would be incredibly enlightening don't you think I mean to tax here from the officials, and what their mindset was and what they were thinking and how it appeared to them. I guess there's an awful lot of fear of what that would lead to. If suddenly we open this box of making the officials publicly accountable like the teams have to be would all hell broke break. Loose would would think with their security in question. Maybe that's the concern. Maybe that's the fear of the league that if if somehow or they want the players to the stars in that if the officials spoke after the game that they would then have a kind of celebrity status, and they don't want celebrity officials, maybe that's part of it and their egos have been come crazy. I will say this though, I'll defend the she's. This way in the NBA specifically, and I was watching the rockets and the jazz last night, endorsed Burke made a great comment, which is the the rockets are not unique in this way. And it's been building for a long time. But I feel like when I watch game it's becoming worse and worse there is no call on the court that is not contested by a player, you can honestly take a machete and cut someone's arm off. And they would go. It's constant. And then when you go to to a commercial break, the coach a lot of times is sprinting straight to the official to berate him more. So on the court, they're paid. Well, it's a good job. But for for of the forty eight minutes there on the floor. They're probably being the rated yelled at curse Dak I don't know forty of the forty eight if not more they don't get a break. So it's a thankless job. I get it. But it doesn't mean you shouldn't have accountability. Especially when there's a major issue last night in the in in the nets and seventy Sixers game that was a major issue. What were you thinking? What did you see now behind the scenes, of course, have got a ride report up about it? But in today's day and age, don't you want as much transparency as you possibly can have a specially in a league that has had issues in the past. I guess there's a lot of unknown here. Right. How well with the officials speak in. Of microphones how well would they handle themselves when questioned when pressed under pressure make them accountable of would we have better their officials if they knew after the game that they were going to have to be what those great official John who is just not particularly well-spoken or he wasn't particularly eloquent in how he described himself, and what if showed himself, maybe he's a terrific official, and his performance would be graded out as maybe the best officials in the league. But what if Ferber -ly it doesn't translate? Now, you you're you've taken a great official and the public's lost total confidence can't verbally defend the position the move the the calls that he makes on the floor. Yeah. I wouldn't disagree that. It's just you better. Be able to hold yourself a certain way, if you're going to be on a court with a bunch of alpha males like if you can handle ten alpha males third twenty thousand people in the stands coaches berated, you constantly. It is a thankless job. I've hired literally games nowhere of that level one side strike. Oh, then the next one you call a ball the other side's at it. Look, these are terrible example. But it's a think job, I get it. You're being berated by twenty thousand people both coaches all players Yellen screaming their alpha males. You should be able to get in front of a microphone and reasonably be able to say, this is why this call, you know, I hear you, and it is interesting to sometimes the officials. I mean, I've I've seen MBA players in the midst of games just absolutely screaming at the top of their lungs, and yet the officials take it and in the other sports. I mean, I think there's it seems like maybe just because they have no helmets, and we have the close proximity and high def cameras and the whole deal. But it seems like there's a there's a lot of dialogue at every stoppage between players and refs in the NBA that there's a constant dialogue that goes on. And I don't know that. That's a great thing. I really don't. I don't I don't know that it's terrible. But it just seems like there's an awful lot of complaining and and the gauche eating for future calls into the night. John Larry courteous being radio presented by progressive insurance making the easy. Bundle your home and car insurance. Coming up next a little Chilean here. We're feeling draft. Kyla murray? He's going to the cardinals. Or is he listening into the night on ESPN radio and the SPN? Up.

"Magic. Sean marks was suspended for one game without pay today and find twenty five grand for actually entering the referee locker room last night when the nets got beat by the seventy Sixers one twelve the one maybe just took a wrong turn did. I may maybe maybe did have any problems with Joel Embiid. Not one. No. Yeah. That that ugliness. That's night was something. We'll get into. All right. Thank you very much. Mr. Gascon, by the way, Dante last week at this very time. We had just witnessed Tiger Woods. Finish off his masters. Victory was weird because I was sitting here you were out last week. Catina Mobley sitting here. So we you know, what I thought coming into that Sunday that we would be sort of in the middle of the round. And then all of a sudden we got word because of the impending bad weather that they were fearing that everything was moved up real early. And then I realized I'm gonna literally be sitting here watching the end of the masters and it all played out. And even tiger said there were so many different scenarios that could have played out. But the golf God said. And I'm a big believer in this Dante's ridiculous. As may sound the Dante the the the the Gulf God's has said tiger. You have suffered enough. We're going to give you this one. We feel like you have shown remorse. You have give it changed your persona. And we will reward you. Because in the in the game of golf, Dante. Let's face a bounce here bounce their, you know, you know, putt blips out. I mean, there's so many things that play into it. But in the end it was tiger. That was the enhanced the green jacket which and I have to say this right before it was right at this break. It was right with the exactly as we're about to throw it to the update. Right. And it was as he was walking off the green at the eighteenth. And has a son hugged him and his mom hugged him. And I had a pause. I mean, I am getting emotional watching this as most people were commenting not about the victory as much as the emotion they felt watching tiger win the masters. I mean, I'm hearing people say that if you didn't feel emotion you need to check yourself. So how is it? The tiger. Your woods was able to flip the script from a guy that seemed to be despised by so many cheating on his wife. The infidelity the hookers and everything else. This kind of stuff to a something where the world suddenly just race this, man. And if you didn't feel the emotion. Of Tigers victories that somehow there was something wrong with you. How did he do that, by perseverance and everybody likes a comeback story? We're we're we're all not perfect individuals. And he's made some mistakes he's had some adversity. He's had some health issues. He fought through it all and came back. And I think we all love a comeback story when we can relate to things and on live going the wrong way we made some wrong decisions. But if we can persevere it gives us hope for our own personal lives, if we see somebody else in a different capacity. All right. I think a lot of when you went well. Here's what I want to say, Dante because I think you have a pretty good perception of people because you know, a lot of people at the highest levels. All right. So I'm watching this whole thing play out. And he's being insanely humbled. Like, I said, the the first thing he said at the press conference afterwards was unreal. Unreal. I cannot believe this actually happened. So he is he appears humbled. He appears to be in all of the moment. There seems to be no ego involved in this like, I'm the luckiest man on the planet. How much do you buy that? Or is tiger. So smart that he realized I need to rebrand myself. And now I'd have the ultimate opportunity and I've done yet. Call me a cynic. But I don't know how much people do change his I encountered tiger back in the day. And believe me there was nothing humble about this guy at all. So how much do you believe that life can change you or do you believe to the core? People are who they are. I believe some stubborn people are who they are think some people do change. I think life tends to change people and put them and put the whole perspective of what life is into a new light. Sometimes and people are forced to change this try to be better. Some people don't want to be better. Some people do want to live a better life, be better people change their circumstances. And that's those people I try to socio myself with people that are trying to be better. But there's a certain population of people that just want to stay away are wanna be stubborn don't want any positive change in. They just want to continue the way it is. So it gives hope for those people. Do you believe it was interesting? How after he wins this master suddenly everyone's like eighteen thousand site I need to remind everyone Dustin Johnson for the last decade has one more PG tournaments than anyone else. He's won twenty. All right. Dustin Johnson by all argument. I think he's even lady in the tournament today at the heritage. He might be the best golfer in the world. He has one major one. This idea that suddenly Tigers going to rattle off three more or four more at age forty three. I think that we're going to look back on the twenty nine thousand nine masters and say he had that one last shiny moment. Do you believe that or do you you buy into what people maybe are hoping for that? Suddenly he's going to have a new career starting at age forty three where he is going to win. Multiple major golf championship has the momentum right now. And I think it's scary. When you have have guy who's has success at this game the way he has has some momentum has some confidence. Everything's about confidence. And the the competent his own personal ability because I think he was down on himself for a little bit for for for him not being able to get back to his own his old self and his winning ways. But now he has confidence you have to be scared of tiger. You have to you have to think that he could probably pull something else off rather than just just being the career. Well, what amazing because the page as coming up next month? They you know, they moved the PGA up. No longer the fourth maters. Now, the second major the air, it may we're going to have the PGA and they say it's at Bethpage Black. He won there. Yeah. That was in two thousand and two and then they say the US Open's at Pebble Beach. He won there that was in two thousand. And there's no relevance in his wins. When he was in his mid twenties at the height of his power as opposed to the forty three year old governor, we'd have now I think we're actually going to look back at the miracle that it was that he won the master's against a loaded field with so many of the great golfers playing at a very high level that somehow he pulled it out. But this I mean to me, no, no it gives him some confidence that he's won on those. I'm sure it's going to give them confidence. But I don't think it's gonna lessen the confidence of anyone else. Well, I mean, those people don't have the competence that I've won there before some people don't have that confidence. Our? Seventeen or nineteen years ago? Still confidence you use that energy in whatever way possible looks at hit. When he has that you think he looks back at himself at that time. He has he has his memories. But I mean does he have a connection with that tiger? Because what we're saying right now is the tiger of today at age forty three. He's a lot different not only as a golfer. But a person that he was when he was twenty five I don't think he looks back at the negative. We all tend to look back at the positives. We don't remember all the adversity. We had once we have success. So I think he probably uses that in the most positive way possible. But were you part of the people that said he never win? Again. Everybody said that because problems absolutely not everybody who didn't say I didn't say I didn't think I thought he had ability because I believe in said two years ago, he told everybody when he went to the champions. Play. Why was he still playing then because he believed in himself and some physically he wasn't after the by the way, can you explain to me this miracle bat fusion as fourth back surgery and remember two years ago when he attended the champions dinner the masters he wasn't playing for the second straight year. Couple months later, he gets pulled over for DUI where he has five different painkilling drugs in his system. I mean, he is in so much pain that he is just popping anything. He can get into his body to relieve the pain that he has this miracle fusion of its back. We're not only is he able to now function in life without the same pain put he's actually able to play golf at a championship level. This must be the greatest surgery in the history of mankind to do that. You realize modern medicine is that at all time high. Jeans. One of the reasons is body broke down is the fact that he he swung. So viciously the torque on the knee but torque on the back, and now it's all okay again. I mean, you talk about the miracles of modern medicine, how the the medical miracles of modern medicine and the power of the athletes who perseveres do anything who makes adjustment. I certainly give him that. Absolutely. Again that look I'm not trying to. I seems like you are a little bit for for some listeners than I. Trying to. Here. I was like crying watching it. We're crying that is your this is your time. You did tell me that you need time. And this was when I thought, you know, what when I saw him hug, his mom. I lost my mom a few years ago. And one thing about hugging. His mom is that I know all the pain that he went through in his life. Whether it was self induced or not the one person the connected with every painful moment is your mother. Absolutely. There is no doubt. She is the one the only one they could feel every ounce of pain that he had gone through. So when I saw him hugging his mom that was from me. That's what a terrorist came from. That's where it hit me. That's where it hit me. I we're in. I don't wanna get to emotion. Right. We mentioned most lift your emotions come on. You gotta be be vulnerable to crime. I like to be a robotic crime for Medicare. Please. I can't. Hello there. Little there. Thanks, right. We're the geiko Fox Sports radio studios. Let's get back a little bit to the NBA right now.
