Dallas Cowboys make handful of roster moves, activate Brown from IR
"Tyron Smith is now gone for the year it was announced on Friday two days ago Mike. McCarthy confirmed the report from NFL networks. Mike Fellow and Jane Slater Day before Mike McCarthy confirmed the tarrant Smith will undergo season ending surgery next week the cowboys are hopeful that he'll be back in two thousand and twenty one the Dallas cowboys already down there other offensive tackle in Lyle Collins Who Unlike Tyran Smith did not play a down this season. Also, it's worth mentioning that Travis Frederick. Retired shortly after Mike McCarthy took over as head coach his replacement if you want to call them that in Joe Looney. A sprained MC l. he is scheduled or slated I should say to miss the next two to three weeks just depends how that's going to go tyler beyond the cowboys fourth round rookie out of Wisconsin. Same place they got Travis. Frederick. Of course, seemingly is a much more stable option than anybody that's going to replace tarrant Smith or Lyle Collins but I bring all of this up to say that when my McCarthy. Signed his contract to be the head coach of the Dallas cowboys he did. So with likely knowledge that at the very least tired smitten, Lyle Collins would be playing for his football team and quite possibly unless you knew at the time that Travis Frederick was going to retire the Travis. Frederick. would be playing as well. So he's now down sixty percent of the offensive line he thought that he. Would have their many defensive players that are out Joe McCoy. One of the teams biggest off season signings is gone because he got hurt on the first day of practice and so this this team and where they are a month into the season is very different than the one Mike McCarthy sat down implant. That's all I'm saying it is definitely true that you have to adjust in the NFL. That's life things happen injuries happen with stuff happens that sports that's life like I said and so Mike McCarthy ultimately has to be held responsible for that because he's the head coach that's the hat that he wears, but it is worth saying and that's why I said now let's talk about some of these injuries and some of the roster moves the Dallas cowboys made ahead of this game on. Saturday day before this that you and I are talking day before game. Day the. Dallas. Cowboys made a handful of roster adjustments. It had been rumored all week long that Anthony. Browne would be returning from injured reserve and remember that injured reserve operates differently due to cove nineteen protocols and now nfl players only have to be on injured reserve for three weeks before they are eligible to return Anthony Brown. Is Eligible to return. It was speculated all week long that he would rejoin the cowboys they are in massive need of help in their secondary. So they officially Anthony Brown bag he is the first player that the Dallas cowboys have brought back off of injured reserve so far this season other candidates for this potential obviously include Sean Lee late and vanish. We'll see about cam irving things like that. But Anthony Brown I one. So the cowboys activated Anthony Brown. He is now part of the fifty three man roster, of course. So is Francis Bernard a fan favourite linebacker, undrafted free agent linebacker out of Utah many people, Francis, Bernard in the training camp portion of the year. Obviously no preseason he is. Now on the fifty three man roster, the cowboys have needed massive help in the linebacker. Department So far this season
India blocks TikTok and 58 other Chinese apps citing national security concerns
"India is banning dozens of Chinese APPS, including Tiktok some say it's retaliation. The move comes after twenty. Indian soldiers died in a clash with Chinese soldiers at a contentious border in the Himalayan mountains, but a senior Indian official told The Wall Street Journal that the APPS may have been used to harm the country's Defence Sector Wall Street Journal reporter Sean Lee has more. It's a huge deal. Because India is a very large market for tech companies in general and also specifically for Chinese tech companies for many of them, for example by Dan's, which is the owner of the very popular short video APP. Talk India is the biggest market for talk after. A lot of Chinese. Tech companies have found a lot of success in India. A lot of them invest in Indian startups, and they've accelerated that in the last few years, speaking of national security concerns and China the National Security Council and a number of other us. Agencies are lobbying European allies to oppose new tech, a Chinese company that makes security screening equipment a reporter Cato. KIEF has more the first. First concern is on national security grounds, because obviously this type of equipment can have access to a lot of both personal and business data, and so the US is concerned that with Chinese state-backed entity potentially having access to all that data that they could feed that back to the Chinese government, and that could create a national security concern, and the second issue is more on a commercial basis new tech. Tech has been winning tons of contracts because their prices are super low. The US says that's because they're heavy subsidies from the Chinese government, and along the way there, then driving a bunch of US competitors to the brink, because they're unable to to compete on price, you know it's a commercial concern that really you know new tackle be the only company left providing this equipment
Review: A Magical British Champions Day
"They cave obviously you were on Judy for sky sports alongside Freddie Tilleke and Alexander what was your impression of the latest renewal we've been having this essence twenty eleven it was the first time that they're the change to the jumps course they've basically said that saved the meeting that they would have had to cancel otherwise what was your impression of the day the position it's in the calendar it's always vulnerable to rain testing conditions it was great that they had the contingent and see their kings could have got a bit awkward otherwise the racing would have been at risk I think on the round course in terms of even being allowed to go ahead such was the level the moisture knocking around so we got it on I thought it was great racing it lacked a little bit of star power I think it's fair to say Bush on the day the race themselves for fantastic spectacles we got some great performances and we've planted look forward to what we saw with you to next season even I think and yeah look at sprint champion stay doesn't always necessarily deliver on what it's supposed to give its British champions day where one assumes the champ beans Ron and we have seen one champion perhaps on Saturday but it still delivered like reading high-cost Racing Really enjoyable ray say experience discredit atmosphere there and yeah personally I really enjoyed Chris deliver for you think Kevin Neal and the necessarily making champions with these races are all the title is there a there are so many big flat races are there in this country and that comes out so you just have to hope the good horses turn up and on this occasion I you know in most cases they didn't really I think in particular when you get really testing conditions for arc weekend fancy bringing those horses again two weeks later you know that was basically what they said that the wasn't it onto that factor I think one thing that might help going forward as if they commit to using ener- track just for all the run course races from can you just say well that's GonNa be our course champions day in the future for all that has been the hurdles back as far as far as I can make it worked fine on Saturday okay which is the first time it's ever been used for flat racing and it provided you know he was still soggy surface but it's it's better ground than you would go on the run course for sure and any encouragement you can give trainers and owners are not going to be turning up to race on the swamp is is pretty good news I mean I think the fact is you know this is the ground that we know expect for that day for all there were a couple of early champions days Iran serve goodish ground we'll agree UC ideally GonNa get lots of rain and it will turn soft and heavy in places this time of year and so even did freak weather one year where it was good ground again the reality is probably haven't been campaigned to turn up on that day because everyone's expecting softish grown which is a very good point at the atmosphere watching the sky seemed to be electric as well Peter so you're now a royal ascot veteran and ask veteran at that matter what did you make Champions Day in terms of my experience as a huge racing fan it was absolutely fantastic everything came together in terms of of the experience of being there and watching some top quality racing now when you think about the very name champions day and to the to everybody else's point I hear where you're coming from it's it's pretty tricky when you have a race that's two weeks after the most prestigious race in in Europe and the Ark and then from my selfish America part of the still think about the Breeders Cup all the time and with that coming in in two weeks as a potential target it's a it's tricky to to crown a champion between two champion two other days that are essentially designed to do the same thing but I think if you just take it for what is it provides a fantastic alternative and great end ABC's and target for a lot of domestic Brunner's from here and ends up being a racing fan I I I think it really deserves its prominent place towards the end of the calendar I I had a fantastic day out there and look forward to to try to many times more I was there in fifteen as well when I was living in London by a the experience of it it's obviously a very different animal than the royal me eating but something that I enjoy going to immensely and will target as a racing fan for many years to come a thoroughly enjoyed it I have to say and we'll done to the teams Sky Kevin obviously firm parts of that Long said Alex and Freddie I thought they did a brilliant job MC fits doing interviews I would have preferred it though admitted a brilliant interview with Aidan O'Brien Turku Gardens won the the longest cup which will talk about a few minutes time but I would have preferred it if mic was the one and not Richie to get Sean Lee whoa conduct because then I could have that clip to pay play in the final form of podcast we'll because it doesn't belong to US I can't play it damnit Mick Fitzgerald got that gold over what it means I don't mind that's fine yeah it's only the tenth highest grossing films of All Time Anyway the KIP CO champion stakes will be and with the feature race and magical who was beaten ten lengths into fifth in the arc only thirteen days prior to this race got back to winning ways she is real superstar of mayor but she's always enables shadow whenever she faces her even though Abel was beaten in the Ark this is the first time that Aidan O'Brien has ever won the champion stakes which in itself seems extraordinary but Chris it seems to me and we were talking about it on choose stay with Rushie and on Thursday with Steve Jones and rory champion the champion stakes for all that it is a prestigious prize maybe for ballydoyle it's a little bit an afterthought in in that position between the ARC and the Breeders Cup Classic Slash Breeders Cup Turf But this horse has proved to be good enough to go and get the job done for them and a worthy winner prestigious yeah I mean it has to be afterthought doesn't I mean you look at the best thing for the in stakes at about the time of the art I think you'd like a day before the art the top four in the batting stage we're all going to run in the are you know Japan is in there as well and others a new enable would have been one obviously so that's just the way it is when you talk class middle distance horses and they're probably GonNa go to long shot I aren't they and then case who's fit to go again and well it would be able because it seems that she's old boots what was this our is our ninth run of the year yes it was and it off in the middle of eight days after the grand national was her first run of the year and you know that nearly gotta be her best maybe upon short when she was chasing home able in New York but I mean she's holding her farm and it must be every she'll go again breeders cup I think she's fantastic I you know being jumps racing in principle I su- admire any horse the can be that jewel and can contain their enthusiasm for racing after all sorts of different experiences you know one talk class race after another one country net another one you d ground the last couple of starts and it doesn't seem to take anything off her she always runs a race Peter with a view to the previous cup she is obviously self boots she won the phillies and mirrors at the ascot meeting last year beating coronet she's now won the champion stakes proving
Sean Lee, Carlos Hyde And Chiefs discussed on Nets Basketball (Air Only)

"I mean, I for the life of me, I can't understand why Byron Jones and get his hands on that last the fade that they through. But I mean, he's he was there twice in coverage. Couldn't couldn't get his hand on the ball in that that is really concerning to me neighbors, especially concerning to on the other side with Byron Jones. I mean, this guy we talked about it. I mean he made the Pro Bowl without without interception. And so I I didn't like that. He got food on that seven pump. You know, where it looks like they're going to run to the corner and many skit ended up in there. I mean, you got to be smarter than that. You can't get beat on those kind of routes especially where they were at that point in the game. I think these I think secondary is still continuing to develop and grow. He you know, he is a good player. He's not a great tackler. But he's a smart guy that makes the checks and obviously get some in position. You know, I like woods. Yeah. He got he got in a tough match up tonight. But what concerns me the corners and their ability to to her lack of ability to play football in the air. And because of that, you know, I'm just gonna give this group of b minus B minus for the secondary light linebackers. I you know, one thing stood out to me on that one long. Touchdown drives Seattle had there in the third quarter of Sean Lee was on the field, and they left. You know, I'm sure Bedrich came out there some point on that drive. But Sean Lee started that drive for the Cowboys. What did you see from that group? Yeah. You know, they they, you know, he's just I think his time really showing time is just going to be he's going to have to be limited to that backup role right now because the other two guys get. Absolutely fly around. And it's really what has to me. What is omitted this defense into being a top five defense in the league? I mean, they spied Russell Russell Wilson. One time on it. I drive with with Jalen, they I think they wanted it out on the TV copy. And then he he was able to flush them when they flushed him. He batted the football down. I mean, Vander ash heck of a player they can covered. I I'm saying covered down the field. They're fast. I mean, this unit is a really really good unit. I like showing Lee the backup. I, you know, I don't wanna lean on him anymore. I just think these other two young men have just surpassed him as far as their level of play ability to make place ability to chase the football speed all those things in both of them are very smart players too. I mean, that's you know, that's something that you don't really see those guys can really run. And and I mean, they're really intuitive there. There sailed with what they do. So now, I'm giving that group of beat plus and really a great job tonight from the linebacking core, would you be willing? I know it's kind of late you've already done some TV. Would you give it a wolf owl real quick? Just so we can cut a, you know, kinda see how you would. I'm out here. Lido I'll give you. There you go. Stretch with that's not a bad call there. That's not a bad coal. You might have a couple of cody's show up around you. Well, they've been really tough to deal with out in Frisco lately. Okay. Upfront the defensive tackle defense events Lawrence and his group, and obviously Balik Collins made a big play early in this game eight a couple actually what you think of.

"Probably be smart for Lee to look deepen long and hard and this ask himself because I think for him if he seems to me he's probably gonna go right into coach in the same to me has the aptitude and just seems like, you know, just the knowledge in in the communication and everything has I think it'd be Suda for for for coaching. But I would be very hard for me to set here and tell you and our listeners the Sean Lee is gonna come back because just the fact that you know, injuries has caught up with them. The deck is the most stacked against that idea. I think than it's ever been especially because of the emergence of light vanish. But we'll see you mentioned he won the Bob Lilly award. He was awarded that before the game against the bucks after the game. He talked so much about how much he loves being a cowboy. He loves living in Dallas. He loves the fans. He's so grateful that dude is one in a million. It seems so good for the Cowboys on polling the trigger way back during the draft. Those. A lot of respect for him. And I think people again, it's just one of those. You know, the thing about is the worst thing that happens is when you're not in the field, and you see the development of a young player that's going to be hopefully around for a long time. The bell funnier is, and that's the hardest thing to just, you know, the reality the football reality sank in because it just it happens. And I don't think anyone expected late Vander has to be the player. He is this early off. That's the worst thing about it for a player that's entered that it'd be a lot. We all we talked about last year is when Sean Lee was on the field. How bad this defense was. Well, we sent how great he is. Now this year without him on the Phil to final things before we get out of here. Tony first of all, it doesn't matter. But we do this every week. So might as well gave prediction who wins on Sunday. It's a weird game to predict realize because so many guys are gonna come out, etc. Well, I think the giants they have something to play for. I'm going to go for that. You know here. The once playing for the jobs and no-one say, so I like the giants win this game score wise. I think I think I think it's going to be twenty eight seventeen. Okay. Giants win this one. I am. I just I don't know. I feel it. Cowboys win twenty thirteen just feels that way. Last thing I save the most important thing for less you, and I we will be back on Monday on New Year's Eve for a wrap-up edition of the regular season on the same five. I'll get ready for the playoffs because we'll know who and when the Cowboys employed, but also something that will take place before the next time, we speak here with everyone on the 750 is the college football playoff. Tony so open, we could your home shoe hole. And first of all, you know, let's talk about the the low key game. Clemson Notre Dame who wins. I got Clemson theat, Michio. I also I've really I love when historic programs get in and make some noise. That's why I've been on the Michigan train for a while. I'm so disappointed there some happy that Notre Dame's in it's made the whole process a little bit more fun be at clemson's going to route them. I think Dabo Swinney doesn't he's a under the radar one on the premier coaches and and in a overshadowed by Nick Sabin. Of course, how do you think they got a hell Brent Venables a hell of a defense coordinated and they had a good. Their offense is good. I mean, they had a change in quarterback this year. You know, I think Notre Dame saying there's some parallels between both teams, but I think Clemson is their defense's on green. I they're always, you know, they always reload. How how do you think Dahbi to stake? Medium. I me too. I think he's like that's a tie thinking roles. He just he just gets up. I'm just dabble not. What type of dude, I think who eats you? And I did this recently. I've never done it before. But who eats every bite with some onion strings yet? I mean, he he gets a little bit. It. It changes the experience a little bit..

"Make no mistake about it when he's right. There's nobody better. Okay. So three three linebackers. That's your three linebackers. Right. John Lee is gonna have to move to a different position in the line. Take late and vendors. I don't get that. You don't. So you're gonna move outside. Go go out there play out there. Sean can't move. Really? And as we know we love, Sean Lee. Sean Lee can't stay healthy with his his soft tissue injury. God bless them too. That's why lake van rush got drafted. He's a leader. He's awesome. He's terrific. He's right. Jerry Jones that Sean Lee at the top of his game is terrific. How do you tell this guy who's maybe defensive rookie of the year? Jalen Smith, late Vander, Sean Lee. That's the best lime DeMarcus Lawrence. Right Irving in that mix taco Charlton. I set it last week your best front seven and in in football of the Dallas Cowboys and that their identity is on defense. We just can't believe it. 'cause we always told me about right back candidate got a tremendous running back, and they just spent a first round draft choice on a wide receiver. But we can't focus on the fact that the Cowboys they're Vic that's why when Shaun O'Hara said earlier this week just in our to that the eagles were his option to win the NFC in our poll question of which out of the five NFC teams that we mentioned that are in this mix Panthers Seahawks. Cowboys eagles and Redskins. What no new through the Redskins out with took them out. Vikings eagles Seahawks. And he said he named the Cowboys is most likely not make the playoffs. Mike, you out of your mind that that front seven come on now. Yeah, they're great. They're great. And now the eagles have to have to go with that. Okay. We'll see Sean Lee outside see who. Sorry. Thank you. Okay. Come back, you fix college football. That was nice. I did Mike Leach weighed in well, he he gave a sixty four team when he was on. Our you talked about a sixty four team. So he was asked about it again yesterday. We kind of we kinda created a little best of Mike Lee, chats, pretty funny..

"Boys dot com. Actually you head over there and check it out and even NFL network in Rappaport fired off a tweet about this. Looks like Sean Lee is gonna play. That's kind of the direction that all of this is trending. Sean Lee would play. I personally do not need to see Sean Lee play. If it were up to me, Shanley would not play. The Cowboys are getting incredible linebacker play. I know our own. Danny phantom wrote about that at the side over BT be this week. You think about it. The Cowboys have two of the top ten linebackers in the NFL right now in late and Vander and Jalen Smith. You don't need to play Shanley. So I don't see. I guess defrays it one way. You're kind of playing with house money a little bit to a degree. You have a defense that's balling out. You have a linebacker core that's played really well. You seem to have maybe potentially, hopefully fingers crossed really, really, really hoping found yourself offense against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. You're so close to the by week. I think that you religious should should cruise through the by with Sean Lee. If you can save yourself because after the bye you're in November and that month is really going to matter when it comes to Dallas Cowboys football and trying to make the playoffs Bobby Boston. What the worst comment of the day on the blog on the voice Facebook, live feed. We don't give this award out a lot, but Bobby Boston says I would release Shanley blog on the boys, this Facebook feed. Look. I don't see a purpose that would serve Sean Lee is win healthy. One of the best linebackers in the NFL, but that's why you should rest him on till the Cowboys after the. Bye because he is so good. You want to use him in all situations. That are big important for your football team. Shanley is very, very, very good. Certainly not somebody who you would want to be released, but enough with that. Let's get to the main attraction on Thursdays episodes of Ocho live as it is Thursday, October eighteenth, two thousand eighteen. That means that we have Thursday night football tonight. "Boys dot com, or you should be all the time. This. I mean, like I know that I know that we're all kind of in his replace the cow was because they played so well against the Jaguars. Nobody wants to believe it, but the more that you look at this game, the more you get ready for the Redskins, the more you look at it, the more it seems like the Cowboys should win this game. The Washington Redskins really are just built to run around Adrian Peterson. And if that's your plan in two thousand eighteen, it's probably not a good one. Anthony on YouTube. Live asks if we're underdogs and that's true last night checked odd, shark is where I peruse odd, shark has the Cowboys listed as two point underdogs for what it's worth espionage, van Pauls tool, which we use all season long track how fans are feeling Cowboys fan thing that the Cowboys will win by three points while Washington fans that the Redskins will win by six points. So both fan base is predicting a win. Meanwhile, again, the the desert has the Redskins favored by too, but you know everyone. The rule of thumb is always been home. Field gets three points when you. At that. The Cowboys have technically into that, which is, I guess, you know worth noting Christopher summers points out on blogging. The boys Facebook live, the Dak is to an in Washington. That's a good point. Let's get to that point. Actually, I wrote about this a little while ago, blah of the boys dot com. Deck Prescott Eka Elliott have actually never lost the Washington Redskins. They have never lost to the Washington Redskins. It's kind of crazy the Dallas Cowboys again, I'll say it again one more time in the Dak Prescott in Zico Elliott era. The Dallas Cowboys have never lost the Washington Redskins. In fact. Look, I know what the division rivalry. I know that there are things that you have to consider when that's the case and other records or thrown out the door, whatever you wanna say. But Jason Garrett is actually pretty good against the Redskins and people are gonna roll their eyes at that. Jason Garrett has only lost four games to the Redskins in seven, full seasons. Obviously he has two games against the Redskins this year. Jason Garrett has only ever lost four and you think about that? Two of them were the two thousand twelve season. The Robert Griffin. The third season, obviously when he won rookie of the year, that was a great year for the Redskins. Another was the two thousand fourteen game in Dallas. You'll remember that game was on Monday night football, and that was the game that Tony Romo got hurt, and he left in Brandon. Weeden came in and immediately connected with Joseph. Randall and things were moving for the Cowboys might have been DeMarco Murray. Now I think about it, not Joseph ran all that was over your time, but the Cowboys lost that game in overtime to Colt McCoy of all quarterbacks. And the fourth loss was the two thousand fifteen regular season. Finale week seventeen. When Kellen Moore started for the Cowboys. So really the Redskins have only ever beaten the Cowboys when things have really fallen apart for Dallas and save for two games in the Robert Griffin. The third era, generally though the Dallas Cowboys find a way to beat this team. And so I think it makes sense to a lot of you when you heard that. Couch underdog said, you'd take that bet. I think it makes sense to do. So Dacca's four and elegance. The Redskins obviously undefeated in our nation's capital. Zeke has only played three games against the Redskins. He was suspended for the fourth one, which was the November thirtieth game last season. You'll remember that was the color rush game. When I went back actually hurt his hand, Ryan Switzer had the punt return touchdown Dez broke the record to become the franchise's all time leader in receiving touchdowns. But I, I really have a hard time picking against the Cowboys another. It sounds crazy. We, we talked about this on the seven, five, oh, Tony, Casillas. And now you can listen to that and your blog on the boys podcast feed David Johnson, not the Zona cardinals running back who will play tonight. By the way on Thursday night football, we'll get to the the week seven picks and a second, but David Johnson on Facebook live. I wish Sean Lee could play speaking of Sean Lee, the latest Dallas Cowboys injury report surfaced on Thursday afternoon. We wrote about this for you have blood on the.

"Make sure you subscribing all apple and Android devices got tons and tons of shows today. Actually new episode of talk on the star of Bruce in the boys and right here. Welcome to another new episode of Joe live, happy hump day. It is Wednesday, October seventeenth, two thousand eighteen, and we have some stuff to talk about when it comes to America's team. Thomas Davis. I'm BT's Facebook lobbied says, what up from Poland. Hey, hey, Poland. We've been a lot of places on July been to a lot of different countries in terms of. Where we've been streamed Poland, I think is a new one. So what is up to Poland? Let's get started before we dive it on the Cowboys. Something we wanted to touch on here on live, I it was announced earlier today or there this morning on Wednesday morning. They're rich Tandler who covered the Washington Redskins for NBC sports in Washington passed away at the age of sixty three mob. Obviously, we cover the Cowboys. You're not alive. That's the team we root for. And that's the team that we experience joy and satisfaction from the Washington. Redskins are a big part of that, obviously, as one of the Cowboys division rivals. And I know that I enjoyed the Washington Redskins coverage from rich handler over the years, sort of my go-to plays my go-to. Twitter, follow my go-to source for all things, Washington Redskins, very, very sad to learn of his passing this morning. Very good at what he did. I think it goes without saying that on behalf of Ocho live. You know, we're certainly praying for and thinking of rich Taylor's family. Just a very, very sad day for sports in for the sports media and for the Washington Redskins moving onto the Dallas Cowboys. You know, there is no way that you can really very easily transition from something like that. Let's talk about Jason Garrett who this morning on Wednesday morning and his press conference talked about Sean Lee, and he said that Sean Lee would practice on Wednesday, and as we're speaking live at the moment, the Cowboys practice report from Wednesday is not out yet, but that will be available a lot of the boys dot com. Whenever you do catch show live, Jason Garrett said that they would see what the status was. Sean Lee was gonna be in terms of this Sunday. But for now they just knew that he was expected to practice. Garrett also said that Sean Lee would be limited at the outset of practice and they would hopefully handle everything. Well, etc. He did note them, elite Collins, Antoine woods and David Irving where all anticipated a practice. Although the local media did report. At the beginning that David Arvin was not at the open period of practice. Early on. Jason did say that when Sean is healthy and ready to go, Sean is going to play, which leads me to a question now I wrote about this should be out fairly soon at blog on the boys dot com. Would you play Sean Lee, this Sunday? And that's a question that I think a lot of Cowboys fans are asking themselves. You look at this, the Dallas Cowboys your three and three. They certainly need this win. I know that there are a lot of people who don't think the Cavs doing anything in terms of the playoffs this year, but we're talking obviously about the couch trying to win every game possible. And if you're the Cowboys, you have a buy week after this week, you're on the road again facing the Washington Redskins and you're getting fantastic play from your young linebackers in terms of Jalen Smith and lightened Vander. Ash? Would you play Sean Lee? I love. I don't think this is a situation where you get rid of Sean Lee at all. I think that that's overreacting, but I do think that you look at all of the variables involved here and you say, look, Shanley. Maybe he's ninety eight percent. I mean, I'm just guesstimates at this point, but if he's not one hundred percent, even if he is one hundred percent, it's really hard to justify playing Sean Lee. When you have players like in Vander issue. Or playing out of their mind because Sean can then take this week. He can take the by. We can. He can even take the week getting ready for the Tennessee titans, football, November fifth, and he can get properly ready for the part of the season that matters..

"He needed to go back and look at the tape and see why y'all. Well, let me help you understand why you off the young quarterbacks, they're getting afford privileges. That should be reserved for Aaron. Rodgers drew Brees Tom Brady l. not playing in the preseason. They don't have enough lines on their resume to sit out the preseason. So you're going into a bog. You go into a regular season game having really not played in the preseason and you get ready for games by playing games. You don't get ready for practice. And then outside, I've been saying this for the longest, they got one playmaker on the inside of book ball that CQ Elliott those guys. Those are just guys if Nate and you need to throw a, you need a catch the ball to don't about Michael Dallat. You're about t- wheel or you're talking about a Thomson Coby Coby. Really scale pretty good game yesterday. Oh, pretty good. That first of all team is like the writing in value objects were not close as they seem, you know, the eight point game, but in my will been eighty eighty painting should've been aide went game. You an apple, the no skill. They're in trouble because they don't have play makers on the offensive side of the football that can get them out of harm's way if they fall behind. You did not tell me that Sean Lee with a doctor because he put on a clinic of how to miss tackles McCaffrey, the wire receiver, a hundred eighty pound wide receiver random lane. Yeah, no one way you and you keep talking about only in the fame breath of Keith. Yep, he is. Did he finish the game yesterday skit who Charley finish it? I don't know. You know you want. So you watch the game. You didn't see on the sideline, Keith finish the game. Joe, he came at hurt like three times. They'll do this all of simple question. You know, they're in trouble. The deeper more early could show us common had a pit yesterday. And his team gave up four hundred seventy eight yards to case keenum really, very good. Like feel great. All I'm saying is if Zeke Elliott is not to answer you asking the wrong questions, they stop thinking that can bring them take them where they need to go and turn around the handout. Zeke Elliott stop playing. You finished. I'm done really? I wasn't very good. It was great for hall of Famer. I thought you'd be better in. Skip. I don't get no pledge out of Japan on the cowboy. Yeah, that's low hanging all you do. So my Dallas Cowboys I'm here to say once and for all will be a wildcard playoff team when all is said and done. We, we have seen one game in one game only. And what I did see from my defense yesterday was pretty great..

"All right. Look at this where completing the circle here on the Dave damasec football program. Anybody who's been around for any amount of time will remember during the pre draft process we visited with and Vander ash and we gave them some tips how to comport himself on draft day. Then at the draft he employed those draft tips. And now he is a member of the Dallas Cowboys. And he told me seeded inbetween late. Ni- Sean Lee, Dallas Cowboys. Great. I asked Layton, well, let me show you the clip here Sean Lee. I think you're going to be very touched by that. I refer you to the monitor right there. I'm being told, we don't have a monitor right there, but anyway. Well, there wasn't. I. Embarrassed. But anyway, the point is the point is Sean. What he said is, is that the one Dallas cowboy who he admired most in the history of of America's team was Sean Lee. He couldn't wait to learn what Sean Lee had to teach him. How does that make you feel? That means a lot. I mean, he has been unbelievable guy coming in and got to watch film of when we drafted him unbelievable athlete, the way he moves the way he knows the game already, but then to come in and work like he's work to know the defense like he knows it's been incredible working with them already. And and how is it been you? You dreamt of getting to work alongside Sean lien August. Now the dream has come true. What can you report back to us? Lee is still kind of surreal and in. I don't know if it's hit me yet, but I mean it's everything I could ever ask for and and finally be in the position now and into learn from guy, like Sean is is. I mean, I literally I couldn't ask for anything better. You got everything. You know, you have absolutely no excuses. When you learn from a guy like him because he knows it all and and he Ilian ROY. I mean, Sean, let's be honest. It's a Little Brown nose, but still it's. Nice when it's directed at you. Right? We'll listen this guy a real deal. And so like I said, when with him there's not too much, teach them. I mean, he's coming in learning everything. There's a Little Brown, no soup. But when I was rookie, I was a Brown nose to I wanted to learn everything. I wanted to be a great football player, and you have to be that way if if you wanna play. Right. Have you guys talked about the fact that one of you has to first names, but no last name and the other one has? No first name, but three last names. And how does that sit with you? Late new. I. Milo. And has three last names think you can figure it out? Lindsey, I kinda kinda, it's fancy. How do I feel about it? Yeah. We just says the first thing I save a to last night. So I've learned is I, I don't over think things like that. Just when it comes to football, try to keep things simple. You got him a dive that deep in in these meetings focusing you've had to refocus kind of on the way you tackle after a lifetime or two lifetimes, where tackling one way, how have you guys have the Cowboys co, how the coaches, or is it an individual thing where you guys have have to take it upon yourself to basically relearn proper technique in the NFL with the new rules? I think the coaches have done a great job teaching the rule the rough came in and did unbelievable job teaching it. You know, it's going to be tough because we've, we've used the helmet and a lot of ways a hit and it's a violent game. We know if we have to keep your head up and that's what we're working on in every single drill. Keeping your head up, making sure you're using the facemask, not the top your helmet. If you work on it over time, you in granite and and you're able to play with it, are you? Are you anticipated? The teams may be based on what you've been watching or playing against over the years in the NFL. Are you anticipating offenses, philosophically, maybe not running between the tackles and short yardage at the goal line and so on and maybe having to throw. Or or run off tackle more than we've seen over the decades in pro football?.

"Entertainment. You can get you go to the beach, no one you dumped to pay to get in the ocean. Try and find a pool in LA to get and you're gonna pay money. Let's let's see how much you love football. You can never watch football again. Or you can never swim in anybody. A water, man-made or otherwise. If I got my like what level of what size of bath would I be allowed to you're allowed to be? Could I could I could I could I push the limits of what's considered about? I'm good Al size of this studio. I'm going to allow a hot tub. I don't like hot tubs. Okay. Well, I know what you were the west things on a like. I don't know why you gotta immediately try and trick. The trick system here. I, I love to swim. Do I really good by football? Goodbye? I love. I love football too. It's a tough one. I mean, I really, I feel very connected to water. Well, what I love is that's right where you were born on an island. Oh, it was all around me. Yeah, it's all I knew. I see. The thing is I frolicked in the sea to my heart's content and then some, but the best time is when you emerge from the sea and then you smell your flesh for the next twenty four hours and it's. Well, I most people after they get out of the ocean. I'm as long as I can. I try not to wash that stuff. I love the sea. I agree. Scowl after I've been in the ocean, I'll tell you what I really love it though is is I would love to have a swimming pool. I love swimming pools. I really wanna swimming pool badly must have one at you mentioned, can you imagine in southern California living out here and we don't have swimming. I can't believe I imagined myself always like I would have a swing, you know, wake up and go for it. Did you think growing up there were more Cowboys in America or more surfers Cowboys? A lot of Cavs my long way. What do you think? Should we talk? Should we get to the Cowboys Sean Lee and Layton Vander s right now, MVP plus a one and a half people join in the conversation briefly. And one of them wears number four and the other one, whereas we're ninety who we don't hear, Dax Dax. The Dak is talking off Mike, and he what happened there spaghetti before people listen. So we middle of our interview, I guess, practices ending and the star players are coming to literally as talk. Sean Lee out about doubt. And yeah, you were asking him, who is the offense of leader and Dak came? I mean directly right by our said, and there was just tons and tons of fans there, and I gotta give the Cowboys credit which pains me the giants fan, but they pulled in a large number of people to watch their training camp, and it was just very loud and he was signing autographs for children. He an Erica tamposi was yelling at him, and then you guys talking about him and he turned and was like, should I join? And I know he looked over like, should I join them like, come over here and he's guy better, not like what you can join us Dak, but our pal tank Lawrence did jump in for a couple of minutes. So do you want to listen to that now? I love to. I'm excited about this. Let's hear it. Then we, we talk about all of it. Sean Lee, the cagey vet and the bright eyed rookie. Oh, one thing I will point out too, especially for Pittsburgh-based football fans. I'm one of those myself. So I'm glad handed with Sean Lee over that before we started talking properly. And his brother Connor was the kicker for pit when they knocked on Notre Dame in quadruple overtime. He made the game winning kick. I brought that up with them. He had a great story about watching that in Washington DC with his then girlfriend now, wife and running up and down the streets to celebrate his older brother's success. That was a great story how he almost went to pit wound up at Penn State. And now here he is all these years later, a key member of the Dallas Cowboys. Let's listen to that and Boise state's own late Vander. Ash right now. Dave..

"They thought they had structure around him that could allow him to succeed. And one of the interesting things, and I've heard this for a long time. The Cowboys had a plan in place themselves that they developed for this. Player. He was responding well to it, and I think they would claim all things being disclosed that the NFL then said their program didn't meet the NFL's requirements and they, they had to abide by the NFL's plan for players such as this and Gregory did not respond to save to that as he had with the Cowboys put in place. Interesting. Yeah. No, that is fascinating stuff. It just compensation day reminded me of a story. I was interviewing Charles Haley who you covered Cowboys many years ago, Charles been very public about his mental health issues and dealing with bipolar. But but Charles at one point was sitting there. We were doing an interview with him at radio row and he tried to, he was trying to think of a condition that he had and he couldn't think. And so I in my mind, I help fully said schizophrenia, which which Tyrrell's said he said about fifteen or twenty years ago, I would have slapped your face off your hand. I was just trying to be helpful, but it is interesting with guys like Charles Haley. Charles has been very critical of the Cowboys at time. He comes in and out the door, and sometimes they let him out there. And sometimes I think they're less likely to want him around in some ways. I think he could probably be really good for rainy Gregory well, having having gone through a lot of that, not only if you believe the Cowboys was their plan for him, disallowed by the NFL. But then I think they showed tremendously poor judgment in his rookie year, putting him in a room and the defensive meeting room with Greg hardy. Yeah, that that's not the kind of guy. You need influencing a young player who already has off the field issues that was a bad match. And I think that was clearly the result of the Cowboys feeling like and I'll say it specifically Jerry Jones feeling like, hey, we're one or two players away. We can get a great pass rusher, you know, we can go in and all and he was willing to do whatever it took to to endure. Whatever criticism there was going to be of taking a guy like Greg hardy, and he probably didn't even think about the damage. It can do a young player, a young impressionable player, like Randy Gregory. Yeah, no, you're you're absolutely right and good to see him appearing to be on the right track. No, you're never totally. I want to make is that I, I've talked to people who are close to Gregory to this point in his career who not involved with them right now. So maybe you can argue, well, they have reason to be critical of him, but but there are people in the group that were with him before who've gone through this process and seen him failed drug tests and miss thirty out of thirty two games because it's suspended who don't think that the Cowboys can expect more than a month the pass by before he's gonna fail a drug test again. Yeah. I mean you subject to ten random drug tests per year. Now that's going to be a challenge. God. It'd be challenge for any of us not for me ten they could. I think if they check for fish tacos, you'd be travel. They've gotta bands this this. It's the. The ideas on entity? Yeah, couple takeaways, I I want to..

"There is ready. Gregory speaking for the first time in quite a while out here with the Cowboys. Good to see him Ed. You had it documented some of his extreme weight changes and where he was all the way down. I believe you had him at one point at one ninety eight, which is just unbelievable for a guy who NFL player NFL -fensive in. I mean, that's just crazy. Now he peers to be up around forty six to forty. Eight at this point looks good today I thought was somewhat reserved in his comments, but it's obvious one of the things I think he likes to get across. He's trying to get across. He's not ready to talk about his mental health issues and be real public with it. But I do think he wants people to know that it's more about, hey, I have substance abuse or marijuana issues, those maybe one in the same. But yeah, he, he, I think he's letting us know he has other issues, but he's just not quite ready. To reveal exactly what those are, although it's been widely reported that he is bipolar. Oh, he kept avoiding that specific question. Which was, would you concede that he's been diagnosed as having bipolar disorder? He did acknowledge that he remains on some kind of medication and that that and continuing these treatments and having a sober partner, they call it that the Cowboys have. I don't think this is pacmans body yard, but it's somebody who's going to be living with and spending all of every day throughout this season with Randy Gregory the Browns have did that to a certain extent with Josh Gordon through the season. And then obviously he had more issues after the season, but the Cowboys have a plan in place. It seems it's unusual that a player gets to meet directly with NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, and the reinstatement process as Gregory. Did. And one of the reasons for that was one of the members of his vast team that he has trying to keep him to the point where he's eligible to play every week for the Cowboys is Mike Ornstein, longtime assistant with Al Davis with Sean Payton. When the saints won the Super Bowl, he's kind of become Jerry's guy as far as managing this group of people around Randy Gregory and not just Gregory, but because of their success. Gregory David Irving now to now, these are two different people. Two different personalities Gregory's from my understanding, much more intelligent guy is Wunderlich score coming out in the draft was far higher than Irving's, and he's the kind of guy that when you're confrontational with him or you expressed disappointment in him, he feels a sense of failure and disappointment himself. Whereas Irving, you know, it's hard to to grab a guy big, you know, by the throat and say, hey, you know, you do this and that he's he's a little Kim more contentious. In that way, just from personality standpoint. It doesn't mean he's not as committed to trying to reach the point that Gregory has right now, and and we can't say that Randy Gregory is gonna play all season and he's going to be Lawrence Taylor on the football field. I do think that a sense I got today from talking to people here is that Jason Garrett was more on board with this Randy. Gregory picking the second round than most people think. I think there's this perception that in most of these cases with these troubled players and everybody was aware of the in the league that he'd failed multiple drug tests in Nebraska, failed one at the scouting combine. But I think Jason Garrett was much more on board than most people think this wasn't entirely Jerry Jones decision that the Cowboys actually had him rated as the best pass rusher in his draft class. He was there at the bottom of the second round. They considered it great value..

"The reasons a team, you know, like New England is there is because when they do loose certain players, other teams can step of the the eagles could you could make that case advantage huge way because they, they lost several players throughout the season, but they but that one loss are they lost a left tackle and Iraq. Rebecca might have been the MVP of the season in his first year as a full time starter goes down the lost. Darren sproles. They lost Jordan Hicks linebacker. So their performance with all the injuries and adversity they faced and overcame and won all against. You know, the team of the dynasty of this decade football really allowed there to be no excuses for guys like Jason Garrett when it comes to, hey, you know, my record pretty much determined by injuries and suspensions, and the Cowboys are going to start this year with yet. Another suspension Karang David Irving, we didn't talk to Sean Lee about that, but I think you listen to Sean Lee. The obviously is a very high opinion of what Randy Gregory can still achieve. He said he thinks Jalen Smith is on his way to achieving greatness thinks an awful lot of Vanda rash who he is mentoring right now. So I think defensively the Cowboys, how have a lot of good pieces in place if that front four can. Continue to perform as it has so far. I agree with you in in one of the other things that took place today. This morning, in fact, is we sit here on what is today Monday or you lose track with the weather. So pretty out here. Yeah, the star next week it is Monday and Randy. Gregory spoke to the media and he was somewhat reserved, Randy can be kind of gregarious fellow. I find him engaging sort. And today he talked about his comeback with the Cowboys and and he was able to join the team. We talked about it yesterday in some of the live practices. Let's hear from Randy Gregory finally back with the Cowboys. And as Jerry Jones said, he believes he'll be ready to contribute by week one zitar mainly where you didn't think you'd be back. Coming on as yeah. I think at my lowest point, I felt that way. Obviously, there was a chance that I would play again for do the right things, but just looking at everything that was mapped out for as what I needed to do, what I had going on in my life at it was hard for me to say that I really thought I was going to be back. I can't give you a date or anything, but there was there was a couple of times in the last two years lease and even last year where I had a lot going on in my personal life had a lot going on back at home with my parents, things with the team. Obviously drug program does everything career wise, and there was just a lot that had gone on mentally physically and just trying to get myself back the baseline. So I can continue on my pad so work that you were able to get clean at and what your plan Monte get back to Dallas. I ain't thing. I'll I got a good schedule. Like I said before, we've got around the right people therapy, all always helped, but distinct assistant with that healthy dose of medication. And then just being able to realize what. I have my play my priorities and being happy not only with what I'm doing, but with myself internally has been like the biggest thing. Chance to get out today with. I mean, there were there were little things that happen over the course of the year year and a half that..

"Exactly. No, no, we appreciate it is Sean Lee from Oxnard from a beautiful tent here in the VIP area of practice in his final week. Last thing I'll say, are you cool now with by the way, sitting out like you missed eight or nine full practice, not the whole practices, but you know not the full thing or if you put them as your is your thirty two, though, at least kind of embracing that you're always a guy who was pissed off if you weren't playing, you know. But I mean, you kind of understand the wisdom of that at least a little bit more now and you think you're cool with it. They get the plan. I get get get out the practice or not. See your guys going through Paktis grinding you want to be part of that year sec there. They will never be a way around not being angry when you get out and when you love playing football. So I'm always going to have issues with it. I understand it, but you know, sometimes dealing with that frustration and can be tough, which is the reason Jason Garrett said yesterday about fifteen conversations of Sean about his practice schedule. Yeah, that is true. I mean, it's like plan and then try to ramp it up and try to fight them and then they pulled back. All right. There he is Sean Lee media, darling Cowboys. Yes. And there was with shoddy Lee earlier today. A man who he boy, he'll he loves to drop some expletives on you on the field, but off the field when doing these interviews vary very thoughtful and enjoyed our time with him and well always enjoy. I think I think Sean made it clear today. He made the voice, the legendary voice of the Cowboys, Brad sham weighed on him and said, I wanna do doomsday I and to me, and that's an important thing and a good decision by Sean, he shows tremendous judgment almost every aspect of his football life and did so yet again, today, you know, people who who ask why the Cowboys would not take a receiver in the first round of the draft when they let go of Dez Bryant. I think they drafted late in edge for a lot of reasons. One of them is there one in eight, the last three years when Sean lease on the field, it's really been kind of shocking how futile they are on defense when he's not in the game during their three game losing streak last year when when Lee was injured, they allowed twelve hundred and thirty four yards in ninety two points that's literally a hundred more yards and ten more points per game than their season averages without Sean Lee. So it would seem like now they've protected themselves against that being that an issue of that magnitude going forward. Yeah. I mean, in some sense, you could say one of the most valuable players in the league because you can certainly back that up with numbers and what that shows and it was it was fun having Sean on. I would say this Ed, I, there are. Remember Bill Parcells who we both covered back with the Cowboys starting in two thousand three. One of the things he always talked about was not letting certain positions one position hold you hostage. It happened to him actually into kicking position at one point. I think that's that was the context he was talking about. It's happened with the Cowboys when when Sean Lee goes out, it also happened when the left tackle Tyron Smith went out and in one of the reasons teams are there, you're in, you're out in one of.

"So we have a great room that that I love working with even Neo nine years. A lot of people in the league question. Now, the Cowboys taking Jason Smith in the second round likely, obviously, there were times early last year he struggled. We try to play in the NFL for the first time in your life with drop foot grace and run with athletes that are good as risen in the world. And he was exploited and some of those situations you do see this is a guy who can still chief greatness and and his position I think, accidentally he's on his way to greatness. I think first thing, anybody who's play when I was the first time you're playing in NFL everybody's everybody has issues. They struggle. It doesn't matter health isn't that it's a tough transition. So for him to be able to do that and then also dealing with some of the issues he had with with his foot in with his injury. It was incredible how he handle any made a lot of place. And as you went on more and more plays, so I'm telling you he is on his way to being it's going to be historic what he's when he's going to do this rookie Vander age would have. What have you seen from him now that you've gotten him into camp and been with them on more of a daily basis? How willing is this guy how his kind of want to factor, whereas all that and where do you, where do you see his career going? It's is. It could be. I mean. During the conscientious always turn the learn. Always trying to listen plays extremely hard on the field practices the right way. I mean, every box when it comes to this character you want, he checks that and and then when you pair that with his size and that lettuce, he's another guy who I think is extremely bright future to do you, do you think wolf hunter is a good nickname in? Are you like me bothered by the fact that he has hunted and killed wolves. I thought they were on the endangered species list perhaps because of him. Yeah, I don't think they are. I think I love the name. I think that's his natural state. You know what I mean? He's got. His story is amazing. You know where he grew up and I didn't realize 'til last week. That's the first game he admitted? Yeah, which was split six plates expandable. And so for him to, like I said, handled himself like he s I think it's appropriate nickname, and I think it's going to catch on. Would it be. If I could, do you think about it? We talked about Jalen Smith in his redemption story, and it's a different comes at a different life than than this one. But what? What's your take on Randy? Gregory a lot of people think that cowboy should be investing in these players standing by them. We talked to, he's obviously exciting thinks he's resolved a lot of his personal issues. What are your expectations for extremely, I Grandi from Saugus always loved branding. He's a great guy and he had issues and like anything. He addressed those. He facing head on. He spent time trying to everything he could to get healthy and get back in the see him to be able to accomplish that is is an inspiration to us. You look at him out here. I mean, the first he came back. He saw him just doing get off drills. I mean, it's his get off in his athleticism is something different is flexibility. And even the small time he's been here, he's already making plays and hasn't played in two years for he can have huge tax, and I'm praying that he continues on the path years because. He he deserves last question because Jill trans running the stop. Watch on us over here only ten minutes. Exalts that our time is what concerns do you have about the the NFL's new helmet role as it's being applied in games and the effect that may have on the quality of football so forth? In our, I think we're all hoping it's just rolled. It's not great that we can be defined and really allows us to play fast effects guys. Leslie wanna do be thinking how you're getting someone having them. You want to work on the technique of keeping your head up. "I think I was doing more yoga than you think it's all. I didn't know you guys were observing that. I think you're always adding tricks to try to stay healthy, not only physically, but mentally, you know, I think as you grow older, you have to skill level in the field continue to improve. You know, naturally you everything you're doing off the field to maintain your let us which also had things in your bag on the field based on experience. So you have that for me trying to make sure us to healthy is a big deal. And I have looked at everything on whether comes to stretching, which I do more than you think relative. You might not believe that after says, thank you just think that's kind of like for like beginner's yoga out there. You probably do a little. Hot yoga. I do believe I do believe in flexibility and stretching, and I do do a lot a lot of work like that, but adding all that the whole entire picture, something really tried to work to make sure that we talked about you being the longest tenured member of the team. Now that Jason Whitten's retired Dez Bryant spend released. A lot of people look at that as a Cowboys face a real leadership buoyed. I'm wondering if you see that as a leadership opportunity for you to take on that role more for the entire team rather than just the defense. Absolutely. You know, having case him with leading. It's tough for us because such an unbelievable leader and a guy that we looked to any situation that came up, you know, we all work together to try to figure it out. But then day we said, wait how we gonna handle the situation. We had a great privilege is that he's passed leadership down and I feel like I'm one of those guys and now it's time for me to step up, but also, you know, guys like that Zeke Martin tie Crawford. I mean, we have a lot of leaders ready to step into that in that it seemed like the opportunity you had to really demonstrate that a very practical way early in camp was the way you handled. What does he obviously criticized several people yourself included? How do you feel you? How did you wanna handle that? And based on how you handle it, how your teammates express their thoughts on your? Well, you know, like any situation in situations come up and you have to end on straight on on for us for me as a leader, I want to keep it focused on football. I want to make sure we're coming in. We're focused on football every single day or war. Working together as a group to accomplish this goal. So ultimately, that's what I'm trying to do. I want to win the championship with God's love and care about, and I want to do everything possible to leader to do that. And so when I'm speaking, whenever I'm doing, I'm always thinking about my teammates. And thinking about this team in that goal. I mean, the only thing I would have done differently Sean, I would have embraced the name again. Stabler it worked for him. I would have just gone with it like maybe got a snake tattoo, but anyway, enough about enough about me. So when you look at you got new linebackers, coach, canoe, secondary coach, some, you know, youthful guys in there with a rookie rookie first round pick, what is the? What's the? What are some differences you see hit? You know, Hitchens's gone. Now, what is this? What is this linebacker room been like, especially all we hear about Jalen looking better and better? Yeah, I think it room is incredible. A lot of talent on guys who've played some football like your Serpa Jalen didn't sending them people job. I mean, what have he was able to come back from his injury play last year? I've said this time it's a story. That type of injury had he got better every game year would was playing unlivable. And this year you can see. Progression. He's making Layton coming in like he has and how hard he works, how much he knows that defense already in the type athlete, he is. It's been a fun group to work with new coach coach bloom. It's been unbelievable..

"And it is our data breach out here in excited to be a part of it in in it. We've had a good run out here. That's excellent. Interviews and interaction got to that division it with Jerry Jones yesterday. And in I, I have to say that this interview today, we've been kinda waiting on it. We wanted to get to the right time for it, but I think if you're gonna come out here, you might as well talk to who's probably the person who's probably become many other than Daklak the biggest leader on this team. Yeah, and I think we talk about the leadership void that potentially has been created by Jason wins and expected retirement and the release of Dez Bryant, whether you think of him as leader, we don't. He did influence players one way or the other in the locker room. And we know that he created some headlines out here with some of the things he said about specific individuals, Travis Frederick, and. Sean Lee being two of them, and they would seem to be two of the most unassailable members of this team. And yet Dez Bryant did direction criticism of their way and Sean stepped up and handled that. And I think demonstrated that the leadership of this team, at least as far as he's concerned is very capable hands going forward. So yeah, the show we're gonna. We're gonna talk about him as a former second round pick and all he's a chief and what does expectations are for the remainder of his career and spend some time on another second round, pick Wendy, Gregory and Lee gives his impression of Gregory too. Yep. Very, very, very well said, it is always, and without further ado here is Sean snake, Lee. Sean, did you feel like camp didn't truly start until you saw the doomsday boys on on the scene? That's exactly. I thought, I mean, waiting on you guys actually come out here and interview me. That's something that's that's my main goal camp. So yeah, I'm excited to be with you. You're thirty two years old and and the oldest member of the office of defensive phases of the football team. Is that hard for you to comprehend that it's gone by this fast with that, that's more just how quickly it happened and this is a part of your career. You understand how a fleeting this, this thing really is. I still feel great. I still love playing with these guys. It is, you know, when you look in your room and you've got guys who are ninety six ninety seven, birthdays ten years younger than you realize you better win championships soon because it's things move about three quick. Yeah, you should try nineteen Seventy-three birthday. Now, you know a guy that thirty two still young linebackers have played until Ray Lewis. Civil guys, play-doh, thirty six, thirty seven to you even think about that. I think with Whitten it just sorta happened. He had an incredible opportunity. He probably has some more football left in him, but he decided to go ahead and walk away at age, whatever he was thirty five. Do you ever do you have a goal in the back of your mind how long you wanna play, or are you just know, hey, as long as I can contribute, I wanna keep rolling. I think that's one making sure that you can contribute. I think all of us kind of take it year one year time on for me. I know I'm in my ninth year. I think you look a lot of guys. They'd go tried to get the ten years and see physically, you know, for me, I won't play. I love playing. I've missed a lot of time, and I feel like I haven't played in games that I wanted to plan. So I'm I'm, I love playing and I wanna keep playing for a long time. Have you added anything to your bag of tricks in terms of learning things that work for you. I'm talking about in the off season, whether it be weight training or anything. I notice you're, you appear to be blowing off the yoga session today. So maybe yoga doesn't work for you..
"sean lee" Discussed on The Doomsday Podcast
"It is day three of our trip out here to Oxnard, California Cowboys camp frito nation, productions course Edward or alongside Ed as we get ready for day three got some a couple more big guests to present one in particular Sean Lee, and it is amazing. We brought it up to him the fact that Sean Lee, you know, it still seems like it was yesterday when he was a second round, pick Cowboys loved to take injury risk or k. rug risk or characteristic in the second round. They've done both this guy. Sean Lee has turned out all those had some injuries along the way to be to to make that risk off quite a bit and what it's great to have him on today. I think he's one of the guys that kind of gives him reassurance that this gambit that they run every year or seemingly in the second round can often produce worthwhile results with the retirement of of Jason Witten. We know. That John Lee now the longest tenured starting player on offense or defense for the Cowboys. He'll tell us how remarkably fast his career has passed, and he still hopes to achieve and give us some interesting. I think insights and opinions into some of the other. The key young players on the Cowboys believe could be very good defense of one of the best ones they've had in recent years yet. I gotta say, I think shun. He's been part of quite a few linebacker rooms. I since that with the addition of the rookie late and Vander h. and jailed Smith that this might be in his estimate as the most talented or have the highest ceiling of any of these linebacker groups. And we always want to thank our buddies at at Hodges capital. Thank you. And we have had lavish accommodations of other what you of nicely. Yes, yes. But they shoot the great partner. And it's even expect from the doomsday team hotel. Well, that, yes, but I'm telling you what we have expected in continue to get from hottest capital just unbelievable support and Ed. You're a man who loves a good private equity fund and they got six of them there and Don and Craig Hodges formed Hodges capital back in nineteen Ninety-two of Aleve. It was and they have done an unbelievable job and they're really the best at what they do the right there in downtown Nelson. One of the things I love about him is, hey, if you're high wealth there for you, if you're someone trying to kind of get your career going and in and you need somebody to look after your individual accounts and that kind of thing and grow your money, they do it. I could be on both things you've just in the past year at a youth can hit both of those things and you do have several homes. I do think they can help you out mentally. Thank you to. Hodge's capital and frito if you would now play the music..
