Washington likely to part ways with QB Alex Smith in coming days
"All right tyler discussing football. You said there's a little bit of breaking news yes according to you and rappaport about five minutes Alex smith and washington are expected to part ways within the next coming days. Said he still wants to play. He is thirty six Someone will get them. Probably as a backup. I will watch. Houston making the starter next year. Why wouldn't it. Kansas city chiefs possibly in back. Ooh he knows his role for why not. What's chad haney there. And he's a nice job. Did a nice job. Maybe you let those two. i don't know head. He's already a legend in kansas city for that further down run baby andy just says you know what. Give him a chance to go because he's never gonna see the field here and then maybe that's what he does but see that. Maybe san francisco's looking for another backup quarterback. They had some troubles with their backups. This year the mullins. And and beth third were just quite. Frankly just guys. So maybe maybe they look into it.
Houston Texans' Deshaun Watson Could Lose Millions if He Sits Out the 2021 Season
"Okay. Let's start our. Nfl news with shawn watson. This thing is getting uglier. Who is it ever so they just let him go all right now just break up. Well he's got the no trade he just can't okay so as it appears to shawn watson is never gonna play for houston again obviously and if as it is also appearing the texans. Do not trade to sean here. We go with a holdout right so different numbers have kind of come out. Regarding just a huge losses that watson would incur. Okay so we're gonna try to go through this piece by piece the full scope of these consequences if he exercises his right under the cba and not playing twenty twenty one. So i if the two thousand twenty one off season has a mandatory minicamp and if to sean skips it he will be popped with a fine in the amount of ninety three thousand dollars. K secondly if the sean skips training camp he'd be fined fifty thousand dollars a day. Okay so alleged. Day day day day with forty days in camp and six mandatory days off. That's thirty four. Days that sean would miss at a total fine of one point. Seven million bucks crews k. Thirdly sean would be finding amount of the regular season game check for each preseason game that he misses so at a base salary of ten point five. Four million bucks. That's about six hundred twenty thousand dollars a game. If as expected the twenty twenty one season has three preseason games. He would lose another one point. Eight six million bucks okay. So totaling up for the entire offseason including training camp and preseason to sean would incur just over three and a half million dollars in fines if he does not show up. Now if the sean then skips the season and if the nfl like they've been throwing around are going to be rolling seventeen games for the regular season. He'd lose another just over eleven million dollars in base salary on top of that calculators out guys because this is just racking up skipping the season would also allow houston to recover to sean signing bonus allocated for twenty twenty one. That's at five point. Four million bucks in money that he would have to basically just give right back so you do the math correctly. Skipping twenty twenty one would be total financial loss of over twenty million dollars for him
‘It’s Panic’: Boston CareWell Urgent Care Patients Concerned 2nd Vaccine Doses Will Be Canceled
"Progress being made every day against this corona virus. More than 504,000, Massachusetts residents have received both doses of either the Fizer or Moderna Vaccines. 1.1 million people have received their first dose. Over two million vaccine doses have been shipped to Massachusetts. So that means that about 82% of the dose is reported to the Massachusetts immunization information system have been administered. Now, despite the number of people receiving both doses. There are concerns that some people have about Being able to get their second dose care well. Urgent Care clinics have notified some patients that appointments for their second Moderna shot will be postponed. If not canceled altogether. They told us they weren't gonna have second No since available Judy and Doug Weinstock out their first dose at the Cambridge location last week on Lee to be told days later, they couldn't guarantee that they have because they had no doses in stock. If that's point, they didn't know if DPH would be giving them any more care Well. CEO Sean Ginter blames the supply shortage by this state. It's panic, right? It's just panic. Like Oh, no What now It's the uncertainty that as Cambridge State representative Marjorie Decker outraged, we send out emails that say you can't come back for your second does. Oh, wait a minute. Yes, you can. That is that is not good for public trust and a public health crisis. The bigger administration says they'll deliver second doses once care well urgent care reports how many patients Have received their first
Trump's tax returns and related records turned over to New York district attorney
"I want to move on and talk a little bit about the tax issue and the tax returns. The court ruling could be handed over to the state of New York and and Cyrus Vance, the A G o. It was the prosecutor in this case. Looking into the President. Trump has taxes, his finances, etcetera, etcetera. You're working on that case. Look, I don't know anything about it. I've never seen his tax returns. But from knowing how businesses are run, I doubt there would ever be a billionaire, or frankly, any wealthy person whose taxes would look good. Unless there's a W two and unless somebody's an employee, and unless there are no no deductions available, I would imagine it would be more complicated than the average person's tax returns. Number one and number two. I would imagine that the president Then private citizen, Donald Trump probably hired the best accountants and lawyers available and they were the ones that filled out the taxes and not him. Well, I could tell you this I mean, 45th president. United States did not go down to meet with the local enough No disrespect, Agent or block. Actually, they do a lot of work, but he didn't go down to the local agent are blocking. Sit down and say here, my W two than he lets on my tax return. You're actually corrected. Tax returns are from a business and from his personal Work, which includes media real estate. Real estate tax returns are complicated by nature. He had expert CPS. He had expert tax counsel that prepared the returns. I'm not concerned about the returns we fought, we fought it. During while he was president. We did not think it was appropriate. To be able to seek those records. At least not unless they could show a special height. Need to justice is actually four justices would have agreed with us on height need. I suspected we had Amy Barrett. Now she probably would have to. I don't know that But it wouldn't matter because now the 45th president is the former president. But Come out strategy standpoint, I'm not gonna discuss trial strategy, and I don't think these are going to trial but from a litigation strategy or case strategy when you defend tax cases used the tax returns to defend your case. So this is not complicated. The tax returns may be complicated, but this is not a complicated defense. You know, the president does make a point. I mean, I'm not sure if you followed Merrick Garland's hearing yesterday, but he e mean seemed like he didn't know never picked up a newspaper to may and didn't knows much about anything and wasn't even willing to commit to keep in the dorm. Investigation. Ongoing. We now have a smoking gun email appear. James committed Jim Clapper and in that, he acknowledged, And this was the day that he signed the sex and second Fiza application. Is the first renewal application subsequently signed a third application three of the four and admitted that he was not able to verify The veracity and truthfulness of what we now know is the bunk, which is Hillary's bought and paid for dirty. Russian disinformation dossier, which raises the question of fraud before a FISA court in my mind that seems like a slam dunk. Am I wrong? No, I think I think you're right. I think Merrick Garland has a as a judge. It's a good reputation and former Justice Department official as well. I'm sure he's going to get confirmed. Hopefully, he will apply the law to the fax is that sky is that kind of reputation? He's not an Eric holder in my view at all and again, I think that this is Look, when you have an election go the way it went, however, it went there. The fact is they get to pick their nominees. And while there's already been some objections on others, I don't expect to be much objection. There will be a party line. Objection, but I don't think will be overwhelming. Yeah. You know all these legal issues that the president has dealt with the weed? You know, the president uses the term witch hunt in so many different ways. Look at what this country was dragged through. For three years. You were you were part of following this entire Russian witch hunt. You were involved in everything involving you. You lived for three years. You You lived the first impeachment trial. You know when a quid pro quo when it was only one fact witness Only one it was all based on not even a real whistle blower. But I hear, say, whistle blower, non whistle blower, and, you know everyone that testified was either an opinion witness. Or hearsay witness and nobody had any facts and the only real the only true witness said No, he didn't want to quit port pro or quo. Um at all. He said he wants nothing. He wants to make sure they're not gonna be corrupt and take that to the next level is thin. You got Joe bragging on tape that he leveraged a billion taxpayer dollars so they'd fire a prosecutor. That was investigating his son being paid millions with no experience. Yeah, well, look, I think the fact is that we beat back Bob Mueller. We beat back the first impeachment. We had good success and a lot of the Supreme Court cases. And the second impeachment, which we did not participate. And although we filed a brief with the Senate on the legality issue of whether you can teach the president no longer in office, which we took the position you cannot The president won these battles I He will win these other battles that he's as right now. But look they're trying to. I think it's pretty clear that the moves here are to try to disable him, so to speak. From being able to run again,

Teachers union resists parents’ push to reopen Los Angeles schools
"He's the president of California Policy Center, Celeste feeler. Parent union, overseeing this billboard calling for the zoom blackout. What is the biggest complaint or reason that the unions and teachers are giving Not to go back to the classroom, especially in light of the fact that we can get vaccines to every teacher in the L. A school district if we wanted, probably within a week. Is Sean. I want to point out that the vaccine when it was, you know, six months ago, before the vaccine looked like it would even be finished this year, when the only person really saying that it could happen was Donald Trump. The teachers union wasn't talking about vaccines. They were talking about a panoply of Bernie Sanders kinds of issues that would that would have to be satisfied before they go back to school. They weren't talking about vaccine. We're talking about the funding the police, they were talking about direct welfare payments to the undocumented, well packed the millionaire attacks universal basic income. Universal health care is a Bernie Sanders agenda, they said would be necessary before they would go back. What does that have to do with reading, writing, math and learning? What does any of that have to do with school? It's nothing purposes for the union is a distraction as the lessons that it really has nothing to do with it, But it's a distraction from the failure of the union to the liver education. In the best of times, the union has failed to deliver education deported in California. If you're rich, you can opt out and go to a private school. If you're middle class or schools are probably at least moderately. OK, if you're poor in California, you're getting the government cheese of education. It is Among the worst education systems in the country. Thank God for Mississippi. So what a lot of people don't understand. Is that the U. S. That is that is such a cheap shot against Mississippi. You live in the United Socialist State of California. Seriously where you know, people in California. Now, instead of saying, Hey, dude are saying Hey, comrade, go ahead. Not intended to the cheap shot who are friends of Mississippi just intended to say that the only thing keeping us from being number 51 in the country is the state of Mississippi. So when we do live in a socialist state, where the union's earn about a billion dollars per year, Shawn one billion with a B in union dues, and they spend that electing people I'm getting all this school boards, but we got the vaccine. Celeste. I'll let you answer that you have the vaccine. So what is there? Why the mysterious reluctance and resistance, Although Fauci said this week and blew me away, I'm not sure if even vaccinated grand parents can see their kids. I'm like what? Yes, but Maxine, then So, all right, so out, 30, you know, I way don't get it either. Um, you know, so, yes, You're right. The vaccine is there. They're actually pushed before other essential workers that have been working the entire time. So they're delaying this. It's like Is it about computers? That political? Uh you know, we just don't know. I mean, they have the opportunity to get their vaccine. We pushed them to the front of the line. Well, exactly, So they're the front of the line. They think I'm asking so they don't give a good reason for not wanting to go back in the classroom. There is no good reason is that we're concluding here. Right. There is no reason that our kids should not be in the classroom. I tend to agree with both of you. All right now, if the parents want to participate, I guess this just means that they just don't tune into the zoom classes
Senate Democrats move immediately to "Plan B" on minimum wage
"Which is preparing to vote on President Biden's nearly $2 trillion covert relief package. The latest guidance shows were expecting a vote at 2 A.m. or so w T. O P. Capitol Hill correspondent Mitchell Miller joined our Sean and Hillary earlier to talk about the enormous bill that includes a $15 an hour minimum wage hike. But that's in trouble in the Senate tricky, But House Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided to keep the increase to $15 an hour in the legislation, even though it can't be in the Senate bill. Because of our ruling by the Senate parliamentarian that's related to budget reconciliation, tried to say all that fast anyway. Pelosi is appeasing the most liberal wing of her caucus. By doing this, if, as expected, the House bill passes, the minimum wage element will not be included in the Senate measure. Democratic leaders in the senator now trying to cobble together an alternative. One of those things that's being talked about is that companies would essentially get taxed if they failed to work toward a higher minimum wage, But that's a big uphill climb. I'm and it's unclear if it would have enough support from all 50 Democrats. Hey, Mitch, what else is in this
Physicist Daniel Whiteson Explains: What Is a Neutrino?
"In the universe. That's there. There's a lot of them out there, but it just doesn't feel the same forces. It doesn't speak the same language that you and I and all the particles that make us speak or use right. That's right. Yeah, it's like, you know, it's like it's a It's death for something I can walk through the loudest bar. You know, with thump, thump, thump music right and not even hear anything. Don't even notice. It's there, right? It's not purposely ignoring you. It just does not hear it interesting. I was thinking a good analogy could also be you know how in the Internet today people communicate using Facebook or Twitter, or instagram or email. These are all different ways that people interact with each other on the Internet. But what if there was somebody who said you know what? I'm not going to use Twitter or Instagram or Facebook? I'm just gonna Respond to people if they write me a handwritten letter. That's right. Yeah, those people are social media knew. Trina. Yes. Yeah, that's kind of what it is. It's like everybody else is talking to each other in one way. But this one particle just says You know what? I'm gonna ignore those different ways to interact. I'm just gonna do my thing. Yeah. And given the toxicity of social media, that probably means the neutrino is the happiest particle And, Yeah, you know, maybe that's the key way should all learn from the treatise. Yeah, eh, So let's remind people, though, what the forces are so there's the strong nuclear force that ties the nucleus together. There's electromagnetism that's responsible for electricity and magnetism and light and all that kind of stuff. And then there's the weak nuclear force as the weakest of of these forces, And then there's gravity. Everything with mass feels gravity right. But in the case of particles, we don't really think about gravity very much because particles have hardly any mass at all. And so gravity doesn't really affect them to really those other three. So the corks the courts, they feel the strong nuclear force and electromagnetism and the weak force. Okay, so they feel everything electrons. They feel electromagnetism, and they feel the weak nuclear force. Neutrinos on Lee feel the weak nuclear force, which is called the weak nuclear force, because it's super duper week, not because it takes a week to act or something like that. So it doesn't just ignore some of the forces that everybody else fields but it only it like they wanted chose to interact with the rest of the universe. Is like the week is one. It's like the most inconsequential one, right? Exactly. It's like, you know, if you could only interact with somebody by sending him a letter to the South Pole, and the letters only go every six months or something. Right? And you know if the neutrino didn't feel any forces at all, then we would have no way to even know it existed. Oh, there could be a whole set of particles that Speak, even maybe a told different set of forces. Yeah, like people think about dark matter, right? Dark matter. We don't know if it feels any of these forces and that's what makes it so difficult to look for and to understand dark matter as far as we know, only speaks gravity, which is why you can only study it when there's like a galaxy sized blob of it. Neutrinos. You feel one of these forces, which is why we can talk about them and study them. Well, let's talk about some of these properties that I was reading about the neutrino. I read that it has a mass that maybe one lesson one million of the mass of the electron. That's right. Neutrinos are super duper duper low mass. And we don't understand why at all, you know, we look at the mass of these particles, the electron, the courts, the other ones. We have no idea why these particles of different masses. We did a whole episode on how they get their masses, which is by interacting with the Higgs Bos on some of them interact a lot where the Higgs goes on, and so they get a lot of mass, and some of them don't interact hardly at all. So they get almost no mass. We don't know why. Like why does this one interact with the Higgs a lot in this one. Almost None of it was like a bunch of parameters in the control panel. The universe and we don't know if there's a pattern to it or if they just set randomly the beginning of the universe. We have no clue, but it seems like an important hint. The neutrinos are so close to zero mass, but not actually zero. Yes. So they are kind of tiny, right? I mean, I know everything's appoint mask mathematically, but thieves things. I mean, they're not disappoint master there. Appointments that are really, really, really, really, really almost no Mass. That's right. But if again it doesn't affect their size, their physical size is a different thing from their mass, their masters like a quantum mechanical label, like electrical charge, right? Sound like something with more masses more stuff to it, But, yeah, you're right. Neutrinos are weird because they have almost no mass, but not zero like they're not the lightest thing in the universe. All right, photons have no mass exactly zero. They travel the speed of light neutrinos just less than the speed of light because have just more than zero mass these
FDA advisers recommend J&J vaccine for emergency authorization
"Amid this new warning from President Biden. There's been another significant step forward for the nation's covert effort. An FDA advisory committee endorsing Johnson and Johnson's covert shot and, according to multiple reports of CDC expects the FDA to grant emergency use authorization tomorrow. CNN Health editor Maggie Fox joining our own Sean Anderson and Hilary Howard earlier to talk about This endorsement was made said that it was a pretty easy decision for them. They said that the data clearly showed that this vaccine is not only effective in preventing severe Corona virus infections, but that it's also a very safe vaccine. So this committee, these advisers to the FDA voted unanimously to recommend that the FDA gives emergency use authorization to the vaccine. Well, the acting commissioner of the FDA, Dr Janet Woodcock, has issued a statement saying that she plans to do that very quickly. Assuming this all happens as it's supposed to what's the timetable here for getting doses made and then distributing them without this is going to be fast doses are already made. As you previously reported there, there's four million doses ready to go. What happens now is what will get an authorization from the FDA. And they say they'll do that so we can expect that probably tomorrow. So Andy slave it who's chief advisor to the White House on these matters, says he expects the FDA to do that tomorrow Saturday. Then it's up to the CDC to decide what people should actually get This authorized vaccine. So the CDC s advisers see Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will be meeting on Sunday, and they'll vote whether Americans should get the vaccine. They may also have some advice about who should get this particular vaccine. CDC director will then say OK, go and the U. S. Is ready to roll with ease, The White House says immediately, which means probably Monday. Maggie quickly before we go. Can we get enough vaccine quickly enough to blunt the rising variants? That is the race? That's what everybody's worried about These variants. Some of them appear to be more contagious and really the best way to get out in front of that is to get as many people vaccinated as fast as possible. Johnson. Vaccines boost that a little bit, but they don't have a whole lot of vaccines ready to go until the end of
Ted Cruz jokes: Orlando isn't as nice as Cancun, but it's nice enough
"Senator Ted Cruz at CPAC in Orlando today, joking about his trip to Cancun as a state was suffering through a cold snap. I got to say Orlando is awesome. It's not as nice as Cancun. Well, speaking today that conservative political action conference in Florida he was subject of much ridicule since he was spotted hopping a flight to the resort city last week. Along with family.
Queen Elizabeth urges people to get vaccine: "It didn't hurt at all"
"Encouraging people to make sure and get vaccinated yet took over 19 she did. It was quite columnist is very quick. I've had lots of letters from people who I'm very surprised by how easy it was to get the vaccine on the jab was very It didn't hurt at all. Biden administration prepares to release report on murder of Jamal Khashoggi
"Called Vaccine Finder, an intermediate step that allows users to see all the vaccine providers in their area and appointment times. Biden administration will declassify U. S intelligence on the 2018 murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Kashiwagi and what role Saudi Arabia is Crown Prince played in the killing. President Biden spoke by phone Thursday with Saudis. King Salman, not the Crown Prince. The White House says the two leaders spoke about the U. S Saudi partnership and regional security.

"That's an extraordinary claim to make and now she's got to back it up but let's see let's see the evidence let's see the fact how much weight in a court and this is your wheelhouse not mine when you have hundreds if not thousands of affidavit signed by american citizens does that way playing part in terms of evidence being presented in a case. Yes you have evidence report. But all of the courts. Of course we're going to be focusing on. Is the election their respective states but six states have been seriously called into question right. So let's find out the facts on In that respect there's not a lot of time to be. There's that's huge challenge. There are too many states six. Seriously right you might say five. Gravely serious And there's not a lot of time so the clock is running. I have every reason to believe that the president's legal team is terrific and they are working around the clock. but you're exactly time time is Is the enemy. Yeah go ahead. I and i can't speculate okay. What's going to happen. If there's a doomsday scenario in pennsylvania or on wisconsin or whatever. But i do know this. There is a thorny to invalidate an election not a nationwide election election run communities and it states to actually invalidate. It was done during the civil rights era when racist jurisdictions would play fast and loose with the count sound familiar and so there is in fact case out there to invalidate an election. Then what do you do with as you got the electorates meeting right. In december and so forth the certification that goes to congress. I know time is very short but guess what when the stakes are really high. United talked about this. Before example the new york times the pentagon papers case from a generation ago watergate. Excuse me The the issues that eventuated in in watergate but just the publication of the pentagon papers case. Those issues were resolved in days. All the way up to the supreme court now. This is more complex. I'm just saying it can happen that there will be a rapid resolution. Wants to factor. Let's get those facts You know what it's like when you're also in the middle of a political firestorm at a high profile case like this It's not easy. is it. no it's not And especially in light of what you said just a few minutes ago about the the media and the unwillingness to be truth seekers i was really blessed. sean during the continent. "Absolutely and you know if donald trump if we play the substitution game had been so absent and answered so few questions from reporters and disappeared at crucial times like no other presidential candidate at least in. My time has done right before the election. If he had done that you know what the headlines would have read and you know how it would have been covered. So that's that's the dead giveaway. But why sean that. I think something will come of. And i don't mean the media's gonna turn around. I just think something else may emerge wide. I think that because the media has almost universally been against donald trump and a very biased and unfair way in my view and yet he got more votes this time than any other president in history than any other candidate. Besides joe biden. They say so. Let's put that aside for the moment despite social media universally conspiring against him despite the media almost universally conspiring against them with all information. Many times over you know this drumbeat over four years. Tens of millions of americans saw past that and still wanted to vote for donald trump. Which makes me think there are a lot of people not listening to this system or operating sort of outside of it in a way that they think is more honest and more real and that means there's a market for somebody else to develop that. I think a little bit of that is seeing people. Go from twitter to parlor. That's just example of something. That's happening because i think the floodgates are about to open. I think that twitter is in for a big wakeup call. Now and i think you know youtube as well with rumble. And i can see if a facebook challenger at some point coming on board and i think their business model is just ripe for a competitor. I agree. Now you talk. You actually had insiders fake news. Cnn and the new york times Actually talk to you and tell you about What the atmosphere working environment is there. And they see what we see in terms of their bias. I i actually think some of their on people this crap and they've deluded themselves but that's my own humble opinion. What are they telling.

There's just utter lack of curiosity among reporters it's willful ignorance. And it's why the old fashioned media are in danger of being swept away is a relevant. But i don't think you can render them irrelevant when you think of just they have no desire to ever tell the truth on major issues. That impact has country. And that you know you would think affidavits of american citizens given under the threat of perjury. We'd be worthy of an interview or an investigation even hard questioning. What do you mean you saw this. Can you prove you saw. Did you take videos of this cetera. et cetera. How did you report this That would be simple fundamental. You know one. O one journalism wouldn't have greg it's media malpractice on steroids as i've said before Frankly nobody believes the media anymore They have squandered all credibility They now have a licensed to line. They do it with impunity And they shamed themselves. They disgraced their profession And you know look at any poll over the last three or four years. And you know you've got a confidence in the media hovering in the single digits Because they've been proven wrong so often you know it's it's chicken little. The sky is falling in it it. The sky turns out is blue and not falling on anybody and this is a perfect example when you have people who signed sworn affidavits under penalty of perjury. Who say that. Phantom ballots ballots without names or being assigned random names and those votes go for joe biden When you have invalid. Tardy ballots are being deliberately backdated to make them valid ballots for joe biden You know these are serious concerns. And if if joe biden really wants to be considered a legitimate president he should demand that these inquiries and investigations and legal challenges behalf had a john. That's never gonna happen. But i mean let they let this guy get through an entire election cycle hiding. They helped them hide. They did all the dirty work to smear trump for them and they never asked him a tough question. That's where we are and they never dug in. They never dug in under biden thing one bit. But here's an amazing thing. And i think this is the proof of the power of the platform. You have Sean with your the radio.

"Hour sean hannity show a lot of news today. As the president by the way we'll be holding a virtual. I guess rallied tonight. If it's happening during hannity we will look dip in and out of that. We'll be covering it. Live will let you know a time. That is all taking place Pretty interesting after the diagnosis yesterday You know one thing that has been a pretty bizarre phenomenon to me. I don't waste a lot of time talking about these. The people that thought they were republican. You know for example. You have steve schmidt nicole wallace. I've known them for years when they were running john mccain's campaign And went nicole. Wallace worked for george w bush I knew her then. I'm nothing against either one of them. They're allowed to have their own political opinions. That i remember. Joe scarborough when you know one day in particular when the two thousand election took place calls me. I was walking around my backyard as he's telling me they're stealing this election from george w bush He claims he's a conservative. I would beg to differ with that. I think he is not at all But you have this whole the lincoln project group of people. Everybody's entitled to their own political views. But you're not gonna tell me that all of these people that that rage against trump and it is rage that are backing biden but yet calling themselves publicly. Republicans is believable to me. Because they're they're now they are now actively going against the single greatest governing conservative. We've had in our lifetime and that being donald trump and they are supporting well. Let's be honest the week. Frail cognitively compromised joe biden a guy that won't even answer a question about stacking the courts ending the legislative filibuster. He won't take a stand up. Stand that he has or what. The bolshevik bernie manifesto as we discussed earlier and all these other radical stands and eliminating oil and gas and the new green deal and open borders and amnesty and we know his weakness on foreign policy. I e the mullahs in iran..

"It sean woody here now. Now cells stakeout takeout. On the sean salisbury. Show all right. Let's see let's take this thing. We mentioned a little bit earlier briefly but the bucks lose last night into the rams should the buccaneers be worried that they continue to have these moments where the team like crap. Yes jared goff poked brady last night. He did not him. He didn't play against brady on defense. But if you didn't know anything about either quarterback sale that doing the rams is far better player. Yeah right. brady's now. Twenty five cents night picks. He's matched both interceptions. Audio game was not good. Yeah that's like the second time this year. We've seen him over by a lot some decisions that he doesn't use that used to make he. I listen and i. I picked him to go to the super bowl. I think you did too. I'm not sure right now. I i'm not going to change because i just don't waffle on my picturing but if somebody said would you change right now if you were bet i'd say absolutely. Yeah because my problem with them is not there one game ability to do a great one game. It's they don't string together wins now. They don't don't win to lose one when they lose. Have you ever noticed when they lose. It's not pretty. you know. Sometimes like for instance. The raiders raiders. Beat ninety percent of the teams in the league or eighty percent of the quarterbacks in the league mahal honestly they played well and car played like a franchise player franchise quarterback and the kansas city chiefs. It's just the chiefs right. I mean the the raiders win that game against most teams in this league yet when the when the buck and they lost recent. Ma'am they easy win if they if mahomes doesn't play well like mahomes the buccaneers when they get beat horrible. There's not a whole lot in between for the now there hasn't been and when it comes to the playoffs. I don't like the pittsburgh steelers. Even when they're not playing good they them together. Man can't city chiefs string them together. Three four five in a row matter fact hell. The vikings aren't very good and they strung three or four zero together the the the tampa bay buccaneers. There's something missing from their choke you out which is odd considering. Who's on the team. Right right with the way all the weird and i'm not if i had to redo it right now and it was a man i wouldn't bet on tampa because i can't if they're doing this in the regular season and three or four super. They're probably not winning that division. They lost twice. The same. can't yeah they're gonna they're gonna win a right and now they're going to have to go on the road. Yeah and play somebody like green bay one of those or possibly head out to la and play rams type team right now not good man no doubt good so i'm yeah if you're asking me if i'm concerned about their lack of consistency in their ability not to string goodwin absolutely i think we may have them a little overrated. I do too. And i'm not afraid to admit it. Unlike some of our hot take artist. I read yesterday on tv watching yesterday. Oh i think the miami dolphins blew up by not drafting herbert. Like four guys on the set agreed and not a one of those guys had an herbert going in the first aid. Fix the draft. Didn't like him in the draft. He was the best. The only guy that i can think of. I think liked him when maybe danger right right. And here's oh so. I'm gonna go back and have some revisionist history or hindsight. I knew patrick mahomes was going to be a hall of famer and be. The best quarterback in the world is third year in the league. Sure you did and just like sure. You thought to end when herbert had that bad game a couple of weeks ago. They're all saying coming down to earth right. It's just absurd the hindsight and then go back. And you say. I told you about justin herbert not dumb asses. You didn't tell me about justin herbert. You told me. Justin herbert suck twenty came out of college and now that he's had some good games beginning to be the afc rookie of the year and much better than most of us thought he was going to be. It's okay to admit it wrong right now. The tampa bay buccaneers are overrated period. They don't know how to string them. Together what you got josh. All right so we've been talking a lot of. Nba transactions recently. And how. The texans also could fix their roster. We haven't talked as much about the ashes the last day or so. It's gonna be a long offseason very much for movement. There's a rumor right now that when there's two teams that are publicly linked to dj lemay you. That may be where those the astros. When of those is the dodgers. Where did they plant. Astros consideration would only be if they try carlos correa and according to kim rosenthal carlos correa his name has been floating in trade discussions again. This offseason ahead of his free agency next year. So my question to you is. Is carlos correa an astro next year. Not this upcoming season. Twenty twenty two. I still say yes. I'm going to say yes as well. But if i could get of equal value for him i might take the risk if i thought i'd get. He would now. I don't know what that value is or who'd be willing to give up something for that. I'm not giving him away for a draft pick first round draft. You know what. I'm saying those out you gotta gimmicky bets. Plus type right. That's exactly right. You got to have me a player. And i listen if you bring me lemay know going to hell if want any third base. That's your trade-in correct. Now i'm okay with that if that works may but i'll tell you what korea whether you view the irritates you're not at times this post had a swing that back play defense. I'm not i want. Greys matan leader at this point on the lose. George springer i don i can't lose carlos correa young. He's good right now. They're going to do that so to answer. Your question. josh do believe cray is here. I got to see what kind of what kind of assets there on the table. Kind of player. They're gonna put or two or four in front of me. Tell me i can make that trade right before he hits free agency and on the other side. Yeah i can tell you this. In two years lemay who will still be hitting three thirty forever. East plan be great to have here but not at the expense at this stage of giving cray away unless of course trade him for something. That's special yeah. But i think you'll be in uniform here. Where a number one. I think personally. Just how much i've i've enjoyed carlos being the face of. We're going to win. Whatever you think about this. I don't give a rat's you know we're gonna say rat's ass i'll say i don't give a rat's ass. We're gonna win this thing. We're still good. Players in the world series springer was the best player during that series. Last these last playoffs it was carlos every game prematurely was his show. No doubt who's in him with. I feel like crush team. And brought him. Brought some attitude to two at a time when they desperately needed it. Yeah i think he'll be here and you know you never know what's gonna happen in two years and what he's gonna ask for free agency but if he stays healthy and he continues on. This is his potential. Send you know how good he is. There will be a lot of money. Wait form at the end of that a lot of it. He's gonna get paid. I still think it's gonna be here due to sports. Talk seven ninety..

"Of plays it was like they had like thirty more. Plays than thirty or more plays than tampa bay. Did i mean the when you look at the statistics which sometimes can be misleading statistics. Statistics misleading. This was brady played awful. They didn't run the ball. The drop balls dating target proper receivers. Their todd bowles made no adjustments. And he's a good defensive coordinator tells me right now that the afc has minimum of three teams better than the innocence. Vesting right now. Kansas city pittsburgh baltimore and maybe buffalo. On a they dismantled the the seahawks defense the bottom of the third best team in the afc. Minimum of the third is better than any of the the the better tampa veteran green bay. Better new orleans better. Seattle is better than any team in the nfc. The afc's the the now the has become the better conference this year. Top heavy wise. They're better. Kansas city and pittsburgh are better far better right now than the best team in the nfc and right now the baltimore may be as well. Baltimore was playing tampa on a neutral site right. Today i would take baltimore to beat them me too. I take baltimore right now yet. I'm not going away from the tampa hopefully can get it right. I got them You know going to the world to the world championship the super bowl. And i'll tell you. Another thing is blowing homefield advantage see without fans. I'm telling you teams that. Don't the breeze doesn't want to go on the road and play in green bay in december. January damn righty does. So when i start to look at that. Who's the best suited to go on the road in the nfc. Russ and darren. Rogers you don't wanna go into green bay and have to play them in rogers and he doesn't care about that weather and with the wind and the rest of it so you had indianapolis is the same way. The colts going on the road to play pittsburgh in january. There they got no shop. They will not win. I think like you said in the. Nfc is there's not that many elite teams i saw stat yesterday. That cam newton threw for. I believe it was three hundred ninety six yards against the seahawks defense going into last night against everyone else. He only averaged one hundred and fifty six passing yards a game. That's the hawks. Devi insists on. How many think about what. We're saying about some cowboys. Texans seahawks rule defense. I mean just horrible defense atlanta. You could score on all of them. I mean every single week. It's like it's a quite frankly humiliating. So yeah i learned a now. I don't know i would've thought that tampa after. Lose them to orleans early in the season. It's a divisional game. You did not play well and had to really really earn a victory against the bad giants team. I would have thought it home that they'd been ready to play. It looked like a team that surrendered in about the middle of the first quarter. I ain't never seen that before. So one of the worst all around performances. Like i said by a team that i've ever witnessed honestly. It was embarrassing from wins the last time you would watch a team that good and say in the middle. The first quarter by halftime wanted to turn the tv off because it was a it was. It was embarrassing they were they were horrible. They got some fixing to do if they're going to gain that respect back as new orleans looked like new orleans. Look like a super bowl team. The tampa did not make it difficult on them at all right sports. Talk seven ninety steve. Tyler zola's gonna join us next. I feel like every week when you and i are talking while you give such great insight that it's kinda groundhog day watching the texas. Yes they won. But steve you and i and this is the most maddening thing about it. I can point to the same mistakes every week. And that's a problem for me on a football team. Yeah there's a lot of the stuff yes. I don't have time to add this week. You know. it's the same the same strengths and weaknesses. I think we've seen from the texans. I still wanna point back. Being encouraged by sean watson's player black three week. This wasn't this wasn't best game of the season. I think what i'm more encouraged. West actually mediocre game. I think overall for watson but great encouraged with is the lack of a disastrous game. He's had those teams in the past where he's just been so far off and he's he's avoided those for the most part so I'd be encouraged by that. I think the offense still showed Even though everything is knock clean down for down when you have fifty plus yard touchdown to bring the cook. The seventy seven hundred well fuller. I think that's what they built. This offseason is that big playability that that's in there and then gives you leeway in other in other areas so i think that was like the say but yeah but down the down consistency. Both add to the boss still still lacking for the titans. Yeah sadly if watson's the blow up games where he wasn't very good what happened against the two. The two wins. Jacksonville were a series or two would have cost them picker something wrong. They'd be on eight. Thank goodness it didn't happen in those two games because they got pushed to the brink this past week. Stay you make a point and i'm with the run game. Let's start there i. They're starting running backs down on their team in twenty twenty one. I don't think the guy who's on here now but is it. Is it obvious to you. Or am i missing something while. I'm david johnson's a nice enough guy. And he's had good moments in his career. That duke johnson should be touching the ball. More if they're gonna give if they're gonna establish something doesn't do johnson have to touching the ball more even though we don't consider.

They know Russia Russia. Russia, Russia, Ukraine and Ukraine Ukraine, impeach impeach impeach, and they missed. What is the biggest abuse of power corruption scandal in history now we've learned an awful lot about well what they've been up to and what this whole thing is all about and none of it is any good. We learned a lot this week. For example, as it relates to. Let's see Rick Grenell declassifying list of Obama officials. You know we got forty eight. UNMASKING requests thirty nine individuals including Biden Samantha Power Seven James Clapper. You Got oh. What's his name? John Brennan, all of these WH. Why would they be unmasking in these numbers and the dates that matchup Dennis Mcdonough? v Joe Biden on January twelfth both important dates in this timeline now. How is this all going to impact? About masking is fine. forty-eight separate unmasking 's from Election Day through January of two thousand Seventeen Election Day twenty. Sixteen. That's a lot of it. anyway Let's play James Clapper. What's happening? All right, you know the one thing that I'm thinking about right now is going to be the the big picture. You know basically the second term of trump, because I'm very confident that he's going to win, but my fear is that these attacks that are coming from the left. You know the only reason why they happen. Sean is because Republicans never respond. Respond in kind, you know. Why isn't the people that test that lied about Kevin? A why have not gotten the Roger Stone treatment after they admitted to lying, you know under penalty of perjury, you know. Why haven't they got responded to in kind by our DOJ or not people like Andy McCabe, you know they're going out. President trump because I don't have. For you because we, we know that McCabe an call me. Both been referred of a criminal investigation. They were found to have lacked candor lied. McCabe case for example three times under oath, and they made a decision for whatever reason not to prosecute I. Don't know if it's going to be an all encompassing thing that is sort of funneled into what is the Durham and the bar report or action I. Do know the Inspector General. had a limited purview, but we got a lot of information everything we had told you about premeditated fraud on a a quart, denying an American, civil rights and civil liberties and constitutional rights happened. We know that it was done for the purpose to spy on a presidential candidate, transition team and later president. We know the Hillary's dirty dossier was the bulk of that information in the FIS application that says verified it's on verifiable, and it's even been debunked, and they were warned ahead of time so All I know is, you wouldn't get away with it I wouldn't get away with it. And if we ever had subpoenaed emails that we destroyed, we wouldn't get away with that either really awful. Back to Florida by the way Florida candidates and two hundred and thirty nine days. You're going to be very important to this country. What's going on, see? We have a better. High up the black voters to know what trump has done because when I tell them and mentioned him about the first step back bill. He met out ninety one percent of harsh sentences, some federal inmates, every black family, the ninety one percent that he signed that bill that no other president would have done. "V Wade into legislation. Twenty four now 'til the top of the hour. I've been telling you there's not a dimes worth of between Bernie the Bolshevik and quid pro quo. Joe Well except maybe one has more energy than the other and more alert. I might be the biggest difference right now. Now we played last week. We played you the tape of Twenty sixteen and that was Biden. Basically Enough Party would just get rid of his his socialist label. It's it's all all agree on and and he's passionate believes in all of this and we do too is Democrats. What did I say? Nobody else picked up on the Super Tuesday and we'll learn a lot more tomorrow. We have what seven states tomorrow Super Tuesday it was the lead up to this was Bernie defending the murdering dictatorships and. We're not talking about a few people we're talking about. Millions of people slaughtered in Russia the worst economic decline and collapse ever in the history of mankind can't make guns and butter had people online for basic fundamental necessities like toilet paper and bread waiting hours regularly to get those items But he praises that even honeymoon in the former Soviet Union then it's praising the Castro brothers but they got a good healthcare system a good educational system. Yeah okay well they murdered and plundered and stole everybody's land and confiscated pretty much everything and then Danielle nor Ortega and then Venezuela even. But if you look at the principles that was Democrat same. Wow we're gonNA have a hard time defending this guy defending murdering dictatorships they both support meaning Biden and Bernie deportations of illegal immigrants. They they don't want any deportations. They want open borders. They want a path to citizenship for everybody that did not respect our laws. Our sovereignties on our borders. They don't care. They agree on that. Well Biden and Bolshevik Bernie. You know they both support raising taxes on middle class. American families workers they both want to implement what will destroy the American economy and frankly it will have an impact around the world. We see that would Saudi Arabia and Russia from earlier today. And that is Yup. They'd like to destroy America's fossil-fuel jobs that's the oil and gas industry the lifeblood of our economy Both of them you know they both want us all to pay for the health care for illegal immigrants in this country okay that gets expensive whereas all that money coming from all the talk about viruses. Oh would we have fewer? Would our risk be lower for communicable diseases of any kind? If in fact we close the borders or just simply check people out not to be mean just to protect the American people. I mean it was smart. The president put a travel ban in effect. I think we ought to check people's backgrounds. Do they have any radical associations in their life. They have the means to take care of themselves. Are they in good health? Those are all questions not to be mean. It's just we have such a long list of people that would love to come into this country You Got Bolshevik Bernie and quid pro. Quo Joe the. They both support taxpayer funding of abortion even late term abortion. They want to eliminate the fossil fuel. Jobs support taxpayer-funded Free College. Who's GonNa pay for that? We Are you know. They both support the destruction of the private healthcare insurance. You know Joe wants to double down on Obamacare the disaster that's a disaster good sanders And Joe both Support abolishing the death penalty. And I'm I just watch and I listened and I don't really see a dimes worth the difference between these two. These two candidates Bolshevik Bernie's continuing to pull his punches on the campaign trail as it relates to quid pro quo Joe and zero experience hunter but his supporters by the way. They're not showing that much reluctance. Some of them now fueling rumors that forty to politics. Usa that Joe Biden has dementia is reported says a former employee of Bernie Sanders was using the Biden campaigns virtual phone banking tool to call voters and spread the claim that Biden has dementia politics. Usa goes on to say the Biden campaign posted about the former employees a former Bernie employees using our virtual foam bank tool to haul voters and tell them Joe Biden has dementia and it is vibe streaming. It will cut them off in a little bit. But I figured it's worth everyone seeing this stuff in action now. The Biden campaign is blaming the scorched earth tactic. Of course that's Donald Trump's fault now Bernie's trying to get the nomination I anyway in politics. Usa concludes it's very trump like Bernie Sanders supporters to falsely claimed. That Joe Biden has this etc. This is all coming from them. They're all. This is a internal civil conflict in the Democratic Party. Now if you listen to Joe Biden. He's well we have. The African American vote also nup not so fast Jesse Jackson well. He endorsed Bernie Sanders with a pledge that he will be campaigning with sanders and key primary states. Okay maybe Joe doesn't have it sewn up you gotTA top Sanders Advisor. Having to apologize for sexist comments made about Michelle Obama. This was a Newsweek anyway. Senior Adviser Sanders campaign at apologize for tweets. He sent more than a decade ago and which he called the former first lady. Ugly Good Grief Civil Rights Activists Philip. Agnew nounce tears joining the twenty twenty presidential hopefuls campaign on March seven. I am not my tweets from two thousand nine. Okay One tweet. Random thought while standing at a gas station. Michelle Obama is an odd looking woman. I call her ugly. But I don't want the backlash want that kind of person working on your campaign Bernie. Maybe you should fire them. Just the thought Michael Goodwin is was on with our buddy mark Simone earlier today and you know Hillary bundlers. He's reporting telling Democratic donors. Don't commit to Biden so that I've been hearing from Democratic Bundlers who say that they're telling donors don't commit. Don't raise money for Biden yet on Sunday. Goodwin is contending in his New York. Post column that Hillary is waiting in the wings preparing to rescue the Democratic Party of Biden stumbles badly enough on the campaign trail. Okay looked with that. I hear a lot of people saying these things this is not okay is not my fault you go. Hannity picking on my little Pumpkin again. Not Fair Candy Bar Creep. Get Away from me Nice. What's up candidates in Florida? Candice Get? I'm doing great. I'm calling because I am African. American Republican Jewish Republican and I have been campaigning for trump's. Two Thousand Sixteen and I've been a Republican for a very long time. What I WANNA get is that to the voters that are really all of a sudden ended up now for bopping trump has done a tremendous job with blacks and when he did the first step act program in about ninety one percent of African Americans so far and we've family that he has led out. That's a series of bill. I call it a for Lincoln slave contract that he signed a canvas by get. You're breaking up on us there. Hang on one second. There should be not no black person behind Biden or nothing because trump president trump dealer Abraham Lincoln that that's a slave contract. Well let me put it this way. There is there has been disparaged sentencing. It's proven again and again the numbers do not lie. I would say the biggest to leaps towards a fairer justice system. One is Berry Shack the innocence project but thank God. Dna technology. They've been able to free. Many people convicted of crimes never committed. I was a proponent of the death penalty most of my career until I started seeing these cases one after another where people convicted and it turns out They didn't do it. Evidence showed DNA evidence. So for me unless you're on videotape. I I have very stringent rules that I would follow on that but yeah criminal. Justice reform the president support of opportunities zones. The President Support of historically black colleges Criminal Justice Reform with you know record after record. Low Unemployment for African Americans and Hispanic Americans and African American youth unemployment women in the workplace. Maybe it'll take the defense production act just like with the with the ventilators I think we'll be able to get American ingenuity working. We've you know we rewritten the books on? How will deal with future pandemics? That's for sure is is a transformative time, but you know as the president has pointed out we could lost two and a half million Americans and. Then latest projection is around sixty thousand, but it's. It's sixty thousand too many we lose. And I wish we had a cure for everything which we had a cure for the common cold. I've mentioned at the beginning of the last hour I'm not going over old ground with Governor Cuomo We had number of good chats we to. We had a good conversation on this show awhile back and I was unhappy with some of the things that he had said and and Cetera et Cetera, but we still have two hundred and twenty, two thousand, two hundred eighty four covid nineteen positive tests in the state of New York. We've already lost twelve thousand, one hundred ninety two people. the governor is with us on our newsmaker line now every metric that we are looking at in the state of New York. If you look closely, what's happening here is what we thought and hope would happen in terms of there would be a leveling off and then a dramatic decline. with that, said you. We've been told by every medical expert. We put on this program. It's not if it's when there's going to be rebounds. And how do you open up a city like we had for example? Governor Christie nome South Dakota. She'd never shut down her state. She appealed every day to the people South Dakota now it's obviously less densely populated than new. York City New York City smallest geographical area. You Got Eleven twelve million people in that city on any given day. It depends opening up new. York City is going to be a massive undertaking and a challenge. and I'm glad that the governor and I have put aside some differences that we had for a while and now we're focused I think we're on the same page. Governor personal may ask a know Chris. Still had a temperature. The last I had heard that he reported himself and I know his wife Christine. Your sister-in-law apparently is cove, nineteen positive personal I'm sorry to hear it. Our prayers are with them. How is how are they doing so far? thank you, Sean. They're doing okay. You know it's a it's. The disease is tough to have and when you have. They have three kids, so he's in the basement quarantined. Christina's in the upstairs room quarantined, and then they have three kids there. "All now on the table in the future, this is transformative. These are new times, and it's all been rewritten and save the economy. And you know what Sean I. think that's a really important point. Is that this pandemic and it's ripple effects in every direction. I. Think it's resetting everything in ways that nobody really has a handle on yet. Nobody does whether it's economically politically culturally. They're massive. See changes going on, and nobody quite knows how it's going to shake out. I have to give all praise to this president treasury secretary everybody in the trump administration for moving fast moving directly and moving efficiently to make sure the American people were protected economically and medically. This is going to be the standard for a God. Forbid any future pandemic going forward. I, totally agree all right now that I have you on the phone. Here's the tough question now. I hear of stimulus spending on top of what are we at two point, two plus trillion dollars more than that now, right? What's the total figure? Yeah, so in terms of this spending were out about two point five trillion and then remember that the Federal Reserve has stood up a bunch of facilities to provide liquidity across the board and. that. Additional, yes, liquidity for about four trillion, so we're in the six trillion dollar range. Okay now. We've never spent money like that ever now I think. Most of the country understands why people. We bailed out Europe after World War Two. We rebuilt Europe we can. We're going to help out Americans in need. These are extraordinary circumstances. That's why reopening. The country safely is key when I hear talk about infrastructure. My head I WANNA bust blood vessels everywhere because I want this money to sink into the economy I, and as Mitch McConnell was saying and I don't think I agree with him all the time that We can't afford it right now. We got covid nineteen issues to deal with. So when these programs that we've pushed out again in record time of the last two months. They're all they're all associated with end dates right so enhanced unemployment insurance. There's an end date. These are all temporary programs to get Americans through this temporary, but very challenging time we put an dates on all of these programs so that they wouldn't go on forever and and drive already astronomical spending levels even more through the ceiling, so we will see what the next conversation is. Is for face. For Sean President. Trump is on the record talking about infrastructure talking about how interest rates are so extremely low. That now is the time to do it, so I know that that conversation that debate I know that's happening I'm I am looking at it as a conservative and I'm saying okay, we I'm not so quick member. Part of infrastructure was about shovel ready jobs in the Obama administration, and eventually even he conceded shovel ready. Isn't that shovel ready? Yes and and you and I have spent..

Many might be asking Monica. Crowley used to be on your show all the time of you mad at Monica Crowley among no Monica Crowley is a friend of yours. She's been at Fox from the beginning. Right yes where is she? Well she's been working with Steve Mnuchin G as the Treasury Department spokesperson and yes friend of the program How're you doing? Unknown spend hectic somewhat busy and I guess you've been spending a lot of time on things like Oh stimulus packages and loan guarantees and everything in between and people that don't deserve taking it. How you been and where we stand. What's going on? Hi Sean I miss you so much. It's so good to be back on the show with you and yeah I I joined the trump administration almost a year ago The Treasury Department is Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at Treasury. As you can imagine we are in the center of the hurricane Since this virus too cold and the government mandated the complete shutdown of the economy. So Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has been in the center of all of the negotiations standing up these unprecedented programs and getting massive amounts of money out the door to protect hard working Americans in small businesses. Well let's talk about that look like a lot of us. I'm standing back and looking at these numbers and it is freaking me out. We've never spent this kind of money. Now we've never had a situation like this we are you know we had the the first quarter. Gdp WHAT DOWN. Four point eight percent. The second quarter is going to be an unmitigated disaster unemployment record lows depression numbers for the short term. That's why opening the country safely is top of mind for me and by the way instinctively most Americans they've had it and I think what we see. And all these rebellions and people showing up at the beaches in California at Cetera. Is that people have decided what they determined in their head to be an acceptable or unacceptable. Risk you see. The the great pains go through manicures plexiglas barriers distanced hands through little cutout in the in the Salon And then restaurants I see plexiglass social distancing. Things I mean. People are very smart actually in creative So how do we? Where's this money going? Do we get it right. Did the workers that are out of work. Get it small businesses. Get it those that took it and didn't deserve it. Are they giving a back? So I've not had a haircut sean since January nor have I had a manicure. So are you going to get killed for this? By the way you know Donna. Crowley's talking about are here but you know something. It's about getting back to normal life. Yes I want to go to a Yankee game. Even if I have to wear a mask it's about going back to a sense of normalcy so America can be America once again. You know. I think two months into this situation one point has gotten lost. Which is it is. This is a completely unprecedented situation. So the president the Treasury Secretary. Anybody who is on the front lines of this challenge cannot pick up the phone and call one of his predecessors and say hey what did you do in the last pandemic because there is no predecessor? Who has had this kind of experience in the modern era? So I'm extremely proud of president. Trump's secretary mnuchin everybody in this administration. Who's taken on great responsibilities in in this kind of unique situation? The on the economic side of this which has directly followed the medical side of this. There was a realization early on Sean. That because this is a government mandated shutdown of the entire use economy that the government then needed to step in and fill the void to protect our great American workers. Small businesses and great American companies and industries. Because we're forcing them to to not engage in economic activity. The other top line realization was small businesses in America. Account for about seventy percent of all economic activity and about half of all private sector payroll comes from small businesses. So that's why the paycheck protection program was created. The P we are now in the second round of this and so far we have protected tens of millions of American jobs and we've protected millions of small businesses. You're right to say that. At the beginning some companies some businesses jumped in and took advantage of the situation so it was really disappointing. To See Secretary. Mnuchin was incredibly outraged when this came to him and while the guidelines were always clear the Treasury Department then stepped up and made them even more clear as you even greater clarity on these guidelines so that these resources will go to the small businesses. Who need them all across America? How about the workers? I I like I know people in the restaurant business They're dying and they're doing okay. I'm trying to promote all my friends. And say hey. Don't forget. Your local restaurants. Sydney and people are responding. They're being very generous but it is. How do we open that? Open that safely but is the money getting to the workers. Is it an and now look as I point out every day and I keep going back to one anecdotal issue? That New York had all of the medical equipment ended up with all the ventilators and the mass and the gloves and the gowns and the respirators because the manufacturers they never shut down if they did New York was done the same with the guys that deliver the food and the farmers in the packers and I kept going to my local grocery store and it was except for toilet paper. Monica everything's available and I see the same guy stocking the shelves with masks and gloves. And they're all working every week meaning not sick We should learn. They never shut. They're not reopening than ever shutdown. No store shutdown no grocery store shutdown and no drugstore shutdown and these guys worked hard every day. Yes yes I know. Two things about your question about is this money. Getting to average American workers and the answer is yes in two ways. One the paycheck protection program which is a small business program and it's again paycheck protection. So it's meant to protect those workers who are employed by small businesses the SBA by the way Sean is processing a years worth of loans every single day. It is astonishing what SBA and treasury are doing there and then of course. There are the economic impact payments. This is direct money. The twelve hundred dollar checks or twelve hundred dollar amounts going directly to every eligible American and Sean do you know that. Treasury and irs pushed out a hundred and twenty million payments in just the last two to three weeks. That is an astonishing achievement for government. Look this is one of the reasons. Why president trump was elected in the first place because he came out of the private sector was a successful businessman and was going to bring that private sector mentality to government. And that's exactly what he's done. The idea that the federal government could move so fast in standing up these these programs and getting this magnitude of money out the door to small businesses industries and American workers in this rapid amount of time is unbelievable. I think and I just went over this with Dr Oz. I think the medical mobilization. We've never seen anything like it It was all the rules have changed as it relates to travel bans quarantines New York government. You know the next time I guess they get a recommendation by ventilators in the city or the state maybe they should buy them But Donald Trump provided them and we saw the great work down in the governor of the Santa's he did an amazing job targeted. The elderly population protected them first. And that was the single best calling the country. Although I gotTa give a lot of credit to Kristi nome short of one outbreak in a meet facility they did pretty well and they never shut down in South Dakota But DONALD TRUMP BUILD OUT NEW YORK save them and everybody that supplied New York. Save New York and I would say that's the future. Telemedicine is the future. I think we are now aware of our capabilities for medical mobilization. They're spectacular but preparation will help Breaking down the sequence of viruses. We never did faster getting us to a chance at a vaccine sooner than later off. Label use of medicines hydroxy chloroquine or ram disappear all now on the table in the future. This is transformative. These are new times. And it's all been rewritten and save the economy. And you know what Sean I think. That's a really important point. Is that this pandemic and it's ripple effects in every direction I think it's resetting everything in ways that nobody really has a handle on yet. Nobody does whether it's economically politically culturally. They're massive see changes going on and nobody quite knows how it's going to shake out. I have to give all praise to this president treasury secretary everybody in the trump administration for moving fast moving directly and moving efficiently to make sure the American people were protected economically. And medically this is going to be the standard for a. God forbid any future pandemic going forward. I totally agree all right now that I have you on the phone. Here's the tough question. Now I hear of stimulus spending on top of what are we at two point two trillion dollars more than that. Now Right. What's the total figure? Yeah so in. Terms of this spending were two point five trillion and then remember that the Federal Reserve has stood up a bunch of facilities to provide liquidity across the board and that additional yes liquidity for about four trillion. So we're in the six trillion dollar range okay. Now we've never spent money like that ever now. I think most of the country understands why people we bailed out Europe after World War Two. We rebuilt Europe. We can. We're going to help out Americans in need. These are extraordinary circumstances. That's why reopening the country safely is key when I hear talk about infrastructure my head I wanNA bust blood vessels everywhere because I want this money to sink into the economy. I and as Mitch McConnell was saying and I don't think I agree with him all the time that We can't afford it right now. We got covid nineteen issues to deal with so when these programs that we've pushed out again in record time of the last two months they're all they're all associated with end dates right so enhanced unemployment insurance. There's an end date. These are all temporary programs to get Americans through this temporary but very challenging time. We put an dates on all of these programs so that they wouldn't go on forever and and drive already astronomical spending levels even more through the ceiling so we will see what the next conversation is for face for. Sean President Trump is on the record talking about infrastructure. Talking about how interest rates are so extremely low. That now is the time to do it so I know that that conversation that debate. I know that's happening. I'm I am looking at it as a conservative. And I'm saying okay we. I'm not so quick. Member Part of infrastructure was about shovel ready jobs in the Obama Administration. And eventually even he conceded shovel ready. Isn't that shovel ready? Yes and and you and I have spent. Our entire careers is fiscal conservatives. So when we look at some of these numbers they are indeed eye-popping but again this is about getting the country and it's not just the United States I mean look at the rest of the World Western Europe China. All of the major economies are in this predicament. So the president took immediate and very necessary action to get us through this time and then the next challenge will be unwinding these things and getting America back on a solid economic footing and that means unleashing the private sector and doing exactly what the president has done from the beginning which is pro growth economic policies economic freedom. That's what he's all about. That's what delivered the first boom under- president trump. And if anybody can deliver a second boom in record time it's donald trump all right Monica Crowley always great to talk to you. Always great catching up with you We appreciate it. Congratulations on your new job. Let's get America open and open safely and and I'm going to just reiterate what I had said before and it's real simple and that is as it relates to the country cove. Nineteen only these states. Don't get the balance corrupt deficit spending and their books using covert nineteen as an excuse. Covid.
