Firefighters gain ground in Northern California as winds subside
"On firefighters gained some ground I guess that massive Kincaid fire in northern California yesterday heavy winds that fanned the flames for days actually died down and they have no strong winds forecast for the next five or six days so that should help but about thirty percent contained as of yesterday after scorching more than seventy five thousand acres in cinema county southern California three separate fast moving brush fires were being fought in and around Los Angeles the easy fire you got close enough to the Ronald Reagan Reagan presidential library in seems seamy valley to force its
New wildfire threatens Reagan presidential library in California
"Another round when German wildfires in southern California is forcing thousands of people to spend the night away from home this time in Ventura county as in pairs Kirk Sigler reports it's one of five major fires burning in the state the easy fires threatening thousands of homes and seamy valley about an hour's drive northwest of downtown LA the flames threatened to encroach on the hill top Ronald Reagan presidential library incident commander Chad cook says firefighters are making progress protecting the library but winds continue to be a problem in other areas closer to neighborhoods the fire out flank this very rapidly today pushed by those forty to fifty mile an hour winds we did experience gusts up to sixty five miles an hour this morning which made long range spotting very very dangerous those spotting embers can ignite new wildfire sometimes miles ahead of the main

"This week. We talk about a young girl called grace who contracted an extremely rare form of leukemia. A Mother Melissa bombs did was put into place. Many of us never even think about putting everything on the line in the battle to save. I loved ones on that journey. Melissa began discovering that the potential causes of Greece's Kanter may not be very far from so Melissa's. Maybe start by telling us how you decided to move to this community and where we are well right now now. We're just outside of Seamy Valley. I grew up in thousand oaks which is only about five more miles from where we are right. Now I went to Los Angeles for college and when my husband in an I ready to start a family we were looking for a community that was close enough to Los Angeles for work but it was safe. I checked out all the Megan laws to make sure that that was safe. I checked out all the schools check out all crime. I mean I really did quite a bit of research because we wanted to provide the best that we could for our children so you're so you're looking around for homes. Where did you end up locating well. it was a rather miraculous purchase but our first home was on Fallbrook Avenue Avenue in West Hills thirty miles out from Hollywood or we're very close which is why West Hills was so ideal. It's it's the community for people who can't commute too much wjr but also want to be close to work. It's a fairly affluent area calabasas right down the hills where all the celebrities live and it's a nice well to do comfortable city okay so you'll living this new life and and what happens next well when my daughter was four years old she started bruising using and she is a very active kid she's always been a Alpha female since day one name a Grace Grace Allen and so when she started bruising and I took her to the doctor. They said she's just really active little girl. There's no problem here in. I pointed out like she was. She has little bruises on her forehead red and they said well. I'm sure it's fine and they sent us home. A couple of weeks later call back and I said it doesn't feel right. I got brushed off again. Finally leash she had a giant purple scar down her whole side and I called back the doctor and said this. This can't be normal most doctors. I will never have a cancer patient and so I like to think that's why he didn't move quickly three days later. We were finally informed. That grace had every symptom of leukemia. We ended up at Children's Hospital. Los Angeles where on January twentieth we learned that she had an exceptionally rare form incredibly aggressive aggressive form of leukemia call the positive The Philadelphia Chromosome Ehlo and just as a mom and a family. I mean that's just just going to be a terrifying. I mean Con- imagine getting that news. Your whole life stops and everything crashes. We were impatient immediately for week but when I got home I would not mean to but I would just stop in the middle of an intersection forget that I was driving. I was forget where I was going. It's it's it's more than life changing really. It's hard to describe because a lot of these feelings. I have not allowed myself to process a lot of these memories. I've really worked hard hard to keep them away. Just now coming to a place where I'm starting to feel and remember and it's a hard place to go back to to be honest. It wasn't the first time she was diagnosed. That was the worst for me. The worst day of my life was when she relapsed a year and a half out of treatment that that to me was is a thousand times worse than the first one because we immediately knew that her survival rate on a on a clinical trial the first time was seventy percent survival rate which to everyone else sounds really great until the cancer parents. That's one three out of ten children and they don't tell you up front who those three are going to be so. It's not amazing in but you know it's it's there's hope when she relapsed they would not tell us her survival rate and I think it's because they knew we would lose all hope. We knew immediately that she she would need to have a bone marrow transplant. We knew what type of chemotherapy she would have. We knew she would have radiation. I mean we knew we knew what we how bad it was going to be and I think that's why the second time was so much worse than the first time the first time we were pretty naive and how did grace. How did she react react to two oldest like as a kid. You're going through this really you know and especially adults we know more like how is she coping well. It's it's interesting because I think most people assume that childhood cancer. Is You know some throwing up some discomfort in the worst parts you lose. Your hair turns out losing your child losing their hair. The easiest part of the entire journey everything else is a thousand times worse and fortunately when grace was four years old she still really really looked to my husband and I for approval and so she and because she was at the Children's hospital all the time in all the children in her ward are all bald. That was a comfortable place for her by the time she was in second. Grade is she. She knew that other kids had hair she. She knew you that she was different. She knew right after I mean the minute after we told her that she had relapsed she said am I going to die. She knew everything to and and that's tough on a kid and it was tough on my son who was only two and a half when she was diagnosed and if grace had a fever in the middle of the night we had one hour to get her life saving antibiotics so it was an emergency situation to get straight down to the children's hospital and I couldn't wake him up at three in the morning and say goodbye I but sometimes they'd be gone for three to four weeks inpatient and so he he developed a lot of a lot of his own issues and problems and heartache heartache I mean our whole family was affected. My daughter had the worst of it obviously but I don't think people quite realize the trauma brings to the entire family so because graces his cancer was so aggressive did did she need different or more kinds of treatment. She ended up having ten times. The regular dose of chemotherapy than a standard leukemia child would have and so we we spent longtime impatient because it was so devastating on her body auty. She had all kinds of issues she she couldn't eat anymore. She had sores all throughout her mouth. In fact they said it was one of the worst cases of Mucus. Itis they've ever seen it was all the way every part of your mucous. Lining in her body was covered in canker like source so she was addicted to morphine at that time the chemotherapy be gave her neuropathy where if she touched the ground she would be screaming in pain pancreatitis and blood staph infection all at the same time. When did you start noticing patents that you saw the children's cancer ward we live at the hospital more than a typical leukemia me a patient might so we met a lot of the the other families staying there and grace and I were walking down the hall one day and a mom opens the door and said I know no you from the park. I recognize your daughter. We said you know childhood cancers really rare. That's impossible. I'm sorry I don't believe you and when I went home that weekend. I found out that she was right. She was in the background of the pictures from that day and her daughter now had neuroblastoma which is in cancer more rare than my daughters and eleven months after that day she passed away at two years old and then we met the hammers lease and again in treatment and just casual conversation precision. Oh so where are you guys from and she said Seamew Valley and Simi Valley is not far from my home so that was alarming to me but I I kinda voted off. You know it's fairly populated area her daughter. Hazel also had neuroblastoma and excessively. I believe there's only six hundred cases in America. Every year of NEUROBLASTOMA and Hazel was in treatment. Hazel passed away last March after a six or seven year

"Just before we leave the subject to fires. I'm gonna I'm gonna sound like a broken record. Because guess what? Folks. This problem is. So big. That a governor who's responsible for being tire state budget and the economy, and it's made all kinds of promises. Two. Create new healthcare operative cetera. The philosopher king is not going to get this done. And you know, Kevin's got a whole Kevin McCarthy's got a whole minority caucus of of some. Different minds about what to do with California. So he's distracted Nancy Pelosi didn't even show up and Kamala Harris is planning her own visit because she can't be one of the team what we need right now to help the people of paradise to help the people of Kerr of the curfew and reading to help the people in main street, Santa Rosa is putting somebody in charge of rebuilding these whole communities. This is also true in seamy valley where you've got nearly a thousand structures now lost in the Wolsey fire. We need somebody. If it's not John Cox. Could it be former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, but somebody who is a presence who has experience with managing really big activities who understands California's land and land use issues who. Who can wrangle the legislature when it needs wrangling we need somebody who is in charge of. Rebuilding and rebuilding with purpose and effort, and absorbing the lessons learned and reorganizing our emergency response, and we need to hold those elected officials who were trailing behind the president yesterday accountable for creating that type of a structure and getting this done. So that a year from now Phoenix begins the paradise begins to write to Ray rise from the ashes like a Phoenix, a Phoenix that can be an example for the rest of California. 'cause this is not a one off problem. But now, let's take a moment to be grateful to the three hundred and ninety three thousand veterans who are enrolled in colleges universities and technical schools on away on their way to a positive transition from a life in the military. To a life in to a re entry into their civilian life. In this period between Veterans Day and thanksgiving is a real opportunity for national thanksgiving to these people to the one percent who take the risks who sacrificed so much and their families too. And one of the things they get in return is a set of educational benefits to help them to convert their military experience into a successful civilian career and life. But this year. In that thankful story. There's a really really big Grinch. And once again it begins with the Veterans Administration someday. I'll tell you what I would do if I were Queen or president with the Veterans Administration. But that's not the subject for today. The Veterans Administration story of educational benefits not received by the. Three hundred and fifty thousand people who have been hurt this year. Instead of helped by new strengthened VA appropriations Bill those people are being damaged by a familiar refrain. The system didn't work. Now, give me a break. If I had a dollar for every time, I've heard somebody say the system made me do it. It's a story excuse K. If I had a dollar for every time I heard that excuse during a due diligence visit to a potential client. I would be to paraphrase the current Merrin Morris. Hit country song. I'd be rich. There are two kinds of systems lower case ace s those are IT systems. They're made up of lines of code. And you know, what code does it does exactly the same thing. Every time you run the program. Okay. That's exactly what happened in Florida in the recount is it spit out. Exactly the same ballots. The second time that it's been out the first time. Okay. 'cause that's what computer systems do. But there are big S capital S systems, those ecosystems of people process, and enabling technology that are put together to accomplish a certain set of objectives. And when people blame the little IT system for something that went wrong, they're wrong. They're part of the problem because what really happened was the big s ecosystem failed because all the computer really does is processed documents and questions faster than the human hand eye coordination. Can it doesn't know because we don't have systems that are artificially intelligent enough. And boy, they certainly don't exist at the VA, you know, so those systems don't know what questions to ask her how to solve a problem if it doesn't follow a prescribed procedure. So in this case in this case about eighty four thousand veterans and their families. Are at risk of losing their shelter because of a VA system glitch. Have we heard this story about VA systems before? Isn't the scandal in the VA healthcare system? Also blamed on IT systems. Yeah. Well, you know, what I've said it before I know little about SAIC in their healthcare system. And yeah, I believe that that system could if you wanted to rely on it, if you if you didn't want to take the responsibility as a part of the bureaucracy to serve the people who have served you. So do we wanna add eighty four thousand veterans to the forty thousand veterans who are already homeless on our streets on any given night. I don't think so. And do we want them to lose the first term of the twenty eighteen twenty nine thousand nine school year because of blue screen system failures and all of this is happening because VA administration once again, let their IT organization make unilateral decisions about lower case systems without consulting, the people in charge of the bigger capital S ecosystem, and we'll be back in just a moment with a simple Salou? Dennis Prager sees a huge change in America. The founders tainted the left has talked so many young Americans that they were racist than they were rich white males wold slaves and that so that.

And it's contagious. Because now that you feel that good. I'm starting to feel better about myself. And we have these families coming through. So these are all families whose kids are out of school pass thanksgiving because their schools are being deep cleaned after all the fires. We've got three families coming in with their kids seamy valley Puerto ranch and also. Oak park. Now have a great stack of things if the kids asked nicely that we're going to give them, Patty. You're also coordinating some food chicken waffles. They couldn't bring the chicken because they couldn't turn on the what is it called often not the oven? The broiler the coupe fires. They couldn't turn them on. There was a problem with the fires this morning, but of all the days, but they brought incredible. There's like spice spice watermelon. Wait now. Deep fried chicken. Patti's got an inside guy. What's going on? Yard bird in the Beverly center. So good. So we'll be feeding that kind of breakfast this morning. These families now Tanya, let's get your training reporting. Justin bieber. So according to reports Justin Bieber is taking some time off from his music while he kind of figures out what he wants to do next. The source said that he's happy and content. He's in love with me. She encourages him to do whatever he wants to do and his encouraging him in this season of self discovery. So people kind of asking him when he's going to get back into the studio or going to war, and he kind of feels like he's worked for a lot of years. And for the first time you taking a significant break and everyone keeps asking when he's coming back. So it kind of got me thinking when she said he's in a season of self-discovery. What season are you in right now? Like if you were to think about your life right now and Mike as a season. I kind of see mine is like a season. I would name this season of my life season expansion Lou well named Christmas and thanksgiving the days of expansion. Eat too much. This is my rebuilding year. Like, a tune-up like, yeah. Like, I just had the baby's this year. And I feel like it's been all about them. Well, we didn't catch fire, but these deals are smoking hot take a look, and it was slammed on Twitter is distasteful and disgusting and the dealership published another of follow up saying Hello friends are advertising team picked a heading for this week's campaign that appears to be insensitive to some of the dealership sits just north of the Wolsey fire, which is still blazing. Both are uncontained and continue to ravage the area there. We I heard them talking about this a little bit on the radio. I think it was John John or Ken one of justed. This had to be an internal joke. Email that was just meant to go around as a. Goof, and then somehow got out because who would be that dumb. Well in a world where you have a local Ford dealership, and we're talking about and John Kenner talking about people and Cleveland going to bring it up in the morning radio show. Like, I don't know sell the Kardashians thrown me off. You know what I mean? Like all press is good press s Christie pointed out last time, there is as negative association. I mean, you're talking about a yes, very talking about exclusively negatively, if you think of seamy valley Ford, I hate them because they did this. That's not good because it's a local dealership. It would seem valleys on fire. You go somewhere else to get your Ford out imagine knee. I I agree. Needed to get all your stuff out. There's always a weird. I don't know. It's kind of a Cavanaugh thing or something like well don't attack these guys their regular joke. So I'm voting for these guys. There's always a group of people are gonna come in and go that it's basically it's a rawhide chew toy your dogs, pulling one way, and you're pulling the on you can go in a circle they're just going the other way. I don't know. That's the that's stupid. Okay. But I can't figure out if they did it on purpose or not. But but we've I'm sure we've all seen local dealerships, our local something that have made some bad choices. There was no help for you max, Pat. But there was just one of these. And I there's always one of these they always they always pop up, and they're always there was just one of these the other week in the news is well there, it's bound all the dodos running around. Yes. Well, Hillary Clinton plans to run for president again in twenty twenty. That's according to an op-ed by her longtime adviser, Mark Penn that was published Sunday in the Wall Street Journal, according to Penn Clinton is gearing up for Hillary four point. Oh, that's for the next presidential election in the peace pen and one time New York City politician, Andrew Stein wrote that Clinton plans to make herself as a liberal firebrand. The piece goes on to say that Clinton would not let thing like to stunning defeats stand in the way of her claim to the White House. She I don't I. Point. Oh, four point. Now. I I'm guessing I don't know. There's there's kind of a weird thing that's going on with the Democrats now are have this young sort of super kinda Bernie Sanders asked crowd of international superstars and the ladies department going up against the old school guard guard and then used to be the hey, girl power, and it's like a young girl power, not not old lady power, and they're going to go get Nancy Pelosi's grill, and it's going to be real interesting to see if they. If they run someone who's just as far away from Trump as you can possibly get or someone goes on we want to talk about the economy and the middle class or whatever. But I think there's two the I've always talked about the there's one group left to discriminate against really. And it's old. We've always talked about. Well, hey, you could make Polack jokes when I was a kid retard jokes or black guy jokes, or whatever you want. But now, it's pretty it's pretty much. The one thing we kind of green on his own all oldest bad, and thanks and everybody. Everybody old is in trouble. Now specially because because Democrats are like the young brand. So when you're all you like someone is in their sixties in Manute out. Now, like, we're young chain Republicans are old guard. We're going we're skewing young. So. It's it's funny..

"Did you hear about that Ford dealership in seamy valley that got into some trouble? The ad right or dealership saying in an ad. Well, we didn't catch fire. But these deals are smoking hot take a look. Daisy that ad has been yanked. Wow. We are. Sorry. It did say we are. Sorry. We express ourselves in a way that does not reflect our values. We're not all a whole. So I think is what the statement should have said. We were just following for about twenty minutes there. The update on the Wolsey fire from from fire department crews from law enforcement, etc. Andrew mollenbeck was out there, man. I love listening to your questions mollenbeck, you're the best. You seem to always get like the first question into are. You are you paying off other rebuttals or I don't like to wait around get right to I'm with you. Man. I get it. Cut to the chase. Let me let me first ask before we get into too many details about the importance. Yeah. Does. She look you'll have dirty pictures of their laws feed. Why does he thanked her every single time the microphone while also an LA city? A fire official always says starts his comments by saying on behalf of mayor Garcetti and chief Ralph therocess, and then he makes his comments. So I think it's because they did away with all the dignitaries, you know, because they caught so much heat over the weekend of having all the elected officials up there doing their political look at it. I'm here I'm in the face of tragedy. And so now, they still have to mention them. I guess I asked repeatedly from Friday on if the fire officials could actually speak. I did they had the and and the sheriff's as well because the fire in sheriff's officials have all the information that listeners wanted to hear namely, which neighborhoods are open, whereas the fire what's at risk, but they were going last, and I guess that that changed yesterday. Because apparently there was some pushback in the community. People didn't wanna hear. From all the elected officials before hearing from fire officials and sheriff's officers. All right. Well, let's get into some of the details. This the flare up that we saw today that we talked with an Carlo about last hour was in the lake Sherwood area. They mentioned that today. Right. Yeah. They did in what they call Carlisle canyon. It was a pretty amazing view just from where I am to the north of that. That's where this command post is. And you saw how many aircraft were hitting this so quickly, and that really is the difference between what we saw last week when this fire exploded in size, and now the last two days when we've had flare ups or a new fire in the case of the one next to the eighteen freeway with so many resources already here when you get these flare ups, even if they're big in the case of what what appeared to be to the south of the one on one today, they had so many tankers and everything else ready to go that they were able to knock it out as far as the overall size of the fire. It really hasn't grown much at all for several days. Now, it's ninety three thousand acres ninety six thousand acres, but it's sorry. I don't have my notes, but but what actually did? Increase was the number of homes that they've counted that have been destroyed, and this is LA county fire chief there allows me they've identified.

"Is fuchsia John Gato year after year these southern California wildfires start in places with a documented history of racism, the Wolsey fire started in seamy valley famous for its segregated schools. Okay. Wow. That's really fascinating. I mean, you could say seamy valley was where the Rodney King trial was held and the LAPD cops were acquitted you if you want to indict seamy valley that way, but the fire the fire the fire doesn't know. The history of the area. Would it burns? Sure. Does it does? It knows all the people that it's broken so high. So so like, why Aren all the infamous places in the south burning down the infamous racist places in the south. You know, I'd be like why are they all not burning down? If if fire is a form of racial Justice. They all went to Florida so dumb so dumb. Thirty one people killed so far in the state of California. Just unbelievable from paradise all the way down as just shocking. Paul in San Diego on the line with us, ladies and gentlemen, Paul from San Diego. Hey, how you doing today? Brett, I'm well what's going on? Hey, I just can't just came back from my house little scare there was a house fire up in the remote area about what's ended the buzz back. So, you know, this affects us all. But so far is where fires start, you know. Hey, most people die in hospital. So if you just stay away from hospitals. Yeah. You'll be okay. That's ridiculous. That's great. On on Macron's wife, I'm going to say because you can't no, no. Won't get you believe that you know, but she's a beard. Stop stop stop stop. Up or not. Now. We don't do. He doesn't play the gateway pundit game. Okay. I don't I don't even know. I don't even know what what's going on over there. But, but you know, there might have been some security reasons, I don't trust the globalist one bit. You know, there've been helicopter crashes unexplained in Mexico where they lost the AG. Come on. Yeah. You know? And and you know, we just we're we're not gonna know that back story. I I don't think our guy is really scared to do much. Scared. I'm saying somebody needed to say to him. You got you you need to go your sixty miles or what if this? What if there's a security issue relevant? We're not gonna know. Wow. I'm just saying, you know, you were just saying, you know, how they really don't have control of a large segment. I remember he's associated very closely with Israel. Okay. You know, his his his daughter is is Jewish Jewish and his his grandkids. I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt. I'm just gonna give him a pass on that one. Okay. Fair fair fair. I don't think it's. You are. You are listen, listen. Let me say this. The people told him to stay at a Pittsburgh after the killings at the tree of life synagogue. You're not welcome in. Pittsburgh. Don't come to Pittsburgh, president went to Pittsburgh. Why president goes with the president wants to go president go anywhere. He wants to go. He's got to get the security in place. You've got gotta handle it. You gotta do a specific way. But the fact of the matter is you you are the president of the United States you go. Now, I get it. He can't go to Kandahar, or that would be a security nightmare or some other place. It would be security nightmare. But you gotta go. You gotta go to see our boys interred at in that sacred ground in France, man. I I don't know how you don't do that. Like, I don't it to me. It feels like Reagan not going to walk, and I get it. It's a different world in one thousand nine hundred four versus two thousand eighteen but I mean, do you think the French were any less hostile to the United States in the eighties? They were they were terrible in the eighties. The French have been terrible to the United States. They've they've they've resented us. Helping them since nineteen forty five. And what we ended up doing. We end up getting dragged in Indochina into Vietnam. We pick up that mess. We liberated them twice in thirty years. And we go get suckered into Vietnam. I mean, come on eight hundred seven sixty KFI be Brentwood herbals show and seven sixty talk and breaking news, Jim Charlotte with headline. "The utilities. It's not about the utility was do not know for certain the cause of either of the two biggest fires that have broken out in California within the last week. Not just talking about this Woosley fire affecting people in Malibu and Calabasas and places like that in the Windsor, we just talked about, but also that one up north of Sacramento, which wiped out the town of paradise and took many lives there. But it just so happens that both utilities. Pacific Gas and electric told the California Public utilities commission. There was an outage on its one hundred fifteen kilo volt one of their lines called caribou Palermo at six fifteen A M Thursday. The fire the big one north of Sacramento. The paradise started at six twenty nine eight 'em down here. So Cal Edison filed a similar report with the public utilities commission saying a disturbance at one of its substations near the suspected Woosley fire ignition point caused an outage at two twenty two pm Thursday. Just two minutes before Cal fire. Now says that fire began south of seamy valley inventory county. So coincidence or connection go in connection vocation? I think we've gone through this before the Thomas fire was started by one of the utilities, a huge problem. Right. So I'm going to assume that these clues are really meaningful, and that it's very likely that the utility company started these two fires, and they started a lot of other fires as well. In fact, they're they're hook for a lot of hook for billions and billions of dollars, which is why these companies were trying to bribe the democratic legislature and Jerry Brown to pass a Bill that would get the tax payers to pick up the tab frothy lawsuits. And we're going to really see a big battle this year over that issue because anyway, he signed that Bill. We had. Yeah. We had this version of it though. Well, because we read Jerry Brown signed sweeping wildfire reform legislation which included changes to wildfire liability laws that protect utilities from bearing the full financial burden when their equipment is founder of. Caused wildfires..

"Scene right here. It looks like firefighters have this thing pretty much whipped a lot of resources on scene and they're doing a great job reporting live from Lynn. Branch. Thank you very much in Thousand Oaks, Chris ancarlo KFI news. Andrew mollenbeck was at that news conference there where we got an update on this new fire in seamy valley as well. As how crews are doing with the Wolsey fire. Andrew what's up? Yeah. It's just an indication of how quickly things can pop up because all morning we were looking forward to this eleven o'clock update about the Wolsey fire its size, the number of homes damaged or destroyed. And then shortly before our update we had two fires pop up one of which Krista just talking about the other is in the Santa Susanna pass on the one eighteen a believe is just on the south side of the freeway, but it's involving both sides. Because now the freeway is shut down in both directions. The difference now between win this original fire broke out Thursday. Of course, is that firefighters from a number of states or already here. So when something does pop up they can get to it fairly quickly. But this one just south and burning right up to the one eighteen freeway in seamy valley seems to have taken off very quickly. That's why of course, they had to shut down the freeway, but you guys are probably seen more aerial footage than I have. But I've been driving that spot every day to come out here to the fire, and I believe just to the south there. There are some communities. Maybe you can help me out with that. But there are certainly some homes in seamy valley that would be relatively close. And I can just still tell you that there are strong wind gusts at least thirty miles an hour going on here. So now, we've got to keep our eye on that one which has some more active fire burning on it than the one that we've been focusing on the last number of days the update from from chief Daryl Oz be there of LA county that the acreage had increased on the Wolsey fire. No, it it's still just above ninety thousand acres and ask the question that we've been reporting on the number of homes that they're now singer destroyed three hundred seventy s the total. Of course, it goes from Thousand Oaks to Malibu because yesterday, we got the update from the fire department that no homes burned yesterday to their knowledge. But then this morning the number of homes destroyed went up by two hundred. And so we're just kind of working out. What was the reason for that was it that they just had a better counting or were. Indeed, some homes burned yesterday. And it sounds like the former that they just had a chance to. To have more assessment teams go around this huge region and count them up. And now, they're they're best guesses that three hundred seventy homes have been destroyed, but they're not even fully done going to these neighborhoods and trying to to count which homes have been damaged or destroyed. You guys have seen so much. You can even see on TV. Sometimes how one might just be a cul de sac and only one home is burned. So it does take a while to get from neighborhood to neighborhood to actually do a full assessment of the damage looks like now, the LA county sheriff's department is saying areas of box canyon and lake manner are under immediate evacuation orders in unincorporated LA south of the one eighteen because of that brush fire that they have directed a huge amount of resources to Andrew. Now on the Wolsey fire did the chief talk about a specific areas where he is most concerned about today dealing with the wind. The only thing that you said that was earlier today was actually in the burn areas. So not actually the fire spreading either to the West Point Mugu or to the east pass pepper died. But specifically in the area that has already burned just some hot spots. We did see early this morning. I think it was about five o'clock this morning. There was a flare up in Calabasas right next to the water one. They got that knocked down. But they're not they're not really saying that there's a an immediate area of concern on the Wolsey fire right now again, they have containment up to twenty percent. And they continue to get more and more firefighters, I saw just a crew was arriving from Salt Lake City. And they have about two dozen helicopters that are here. So the the size of the response continues to grow and even though the the weather conditions. The last two days have been pretty brutal to try to work with they have been able to box it in just a little bit. But now you throw another wrinkle into it when you have two new fires pop up a somewhat small, but they're active right now, especially that one..

Maybe everybody needs arrest and they've taken Saturday afternoon off. But you can't get much TV coverage today, however, channel five video feed. It's one camera and it stationed. I guess in a helicopter off Malibu, and there is a small fire or fire hot spots at the bottom of the cliffs, right where land meets ocean. There may be a very small strip to stand between the cliff and the ocean. And it's I don't know if these are embers or somebody. Set the fire or vagrant? But so now, they're they're smoke billowing from the cliffs and at the top of the cliff are unbelievably large, gorgeous mansions and beautiful properties that are surrounding the mansions and right below them. Is it small, but it's flames and smoke, and you can see firemen walking down a bridge. I guess it's a bridge to allow people public access to this thin beach. That's along the bottom of the cliff, and we're watching that to see if it becomes anything dangerous.
