Larsa Pippen Is Dating Marcus Jordan—Michael Jordan's Son

"Have you heard about this weird situation? Kind of a thirsty situation too. You know who larsa Pippen is? Lots of pippin attractive women used to be the wife of the former Chicago Bulls NBA star Scottie Pippen. You know, the guy who was Michael Jordan's number two guy. They won 6 titles together. But as the years went on, Scottie Pippen showed like a level of jealousy that maybe he wasn't treated as good as he should have been on those teams. You know what I mean? And a lot of feelings came out when that great Michael Jordan series was on last dance, a lot of stories came out and but either way, make no mistake. Scottie Pippen was a great ballplayer. And no way the Chicago Bulls would have won 6 titles without him. But here's the uncomfortable and weird part of the story, all these years later. So his former wife, larsa Pippen, she's made herself very visible with reality television, you know, she's a socialite and a businesswoman, et cetera. Like a lot of women in this era. Very petite, and she's known to be sexy when she wants to be, et cetera. Well, for the last several months, almost a year. She's been hanging out with Michael Jordan's son, Marcus. He's not, he's not a kid. He's 31, she's 48. The other day, there were photographed up in some seats during the football game, and SoFi Stadium, and at one point, some spectator with his phone on, started giving her the what for, right? He's like, hey, larsa. That's what you're doing? You're with the boy. You would Mike's son, you called mother trucker. You call this a mother trucker homie. It's getting very awkward, considering, you know, there is a strong rumor that she used to babysit Marcus back in the day. And they're kind of taking things in stride, you know, some NBA guys are talking shit about the whole thing. But it's just very strange because Scottie and Michael Jordan have this ongoing beef, which the last dance series really ignited and now could you imagine being Scottie Pippen knowing your ex-wife is getting hammered by Michael Jordan son?

Nike CEO John Donahoe's Lessons on Servant Leadership

"What star. John rains that i am most associate with you. Which is servant leadership. And i'd love if you could describe your philosophy on servant leadership especially try to conceptualize it for much smaller organizations. What does it mean to serve leader as a ceo of a bunch of ceo's around the table how should they think about how that philosophy conform away they run their business so when i talk about servant leadership. It's frankly the the way. I learned to lead because i actually learned the lead in partnership a ban where you aren't really empowered to do anything to you have to earn the respect and the followership of others. You guys don't have that as founders. But i do think you'll find that. Many of the best leaders exhibited the principles servant leadership. And i just say how do i serve serve. The purpose of the organization serve the customers served. The employees serve the communities in which we operate in a jim collins called at level five leadership other people call from things. But it's when someone it's not about the leader it's about what it is. We are trying to accomplish right and some of the antithesis of what's hot silicon valley at different times the narrative. Always around the all-powerful founder. They're all powerful leader. And i think there's actually very few examples where that actually great sustainable companies come out of that my leadership role model for large parts of my career with phil jackson of the chicago bulls. Now it'd be steve kerr for your younger and would always struck me. He was able to do is get people who actually were better than he was klay. Together he got michael jordan. Scottie pippen dennis. Rodman caster characters to win six championships. It got shack kobe to play together. You look at you. Look at steve kerr the warriors right. Now he's getting. Somehow he's getting steph curry klay thompson and kevin durant andrew mongering all vying to something greater and they win i view with how do you build high performance teams of top talent to win and servant leadership is part of it.

I've Hired Several Coaches, but No Improvements. What's Wrong With Me?

"Hey i've hired three business coaches. They've all felt like a waste of time and money. And i haven't seen any improvements what's going on. There's something wrong with me. My doing this wrong. what's happening. Well i want to answer this question to make sure i also address. Everybody was listening. That my have a similar question thinking about hiring a coach or have higher coach. Maybe didn't see the results are looking for on a star by saying i have gone through this several times. I've hired coaches have a lot of experience. And not all. My experiences with coaches have been the same. I i have to say a quick If you have a coach if you hire a coach and they give you instructions if they give you a action items to do a plan and you don't implement you actually do the work it doesn't matter. What kind of coach you have. You have to actually follow through. So i know this kind of obvious but a lot of people i've met along the way have hired coaches and ask them. How's it working out like not so great as it will. What does the coach advising you to do. All of they're telling me to do xyz. We'll have you done xyz and they're like a not really not sure. If i should and that really is the biggest red flag for me when it comes to hiring a coach. Don't go down the road of hiring a coach if you're don't a hundred percent trust this coach and believe what they say you should do is worth doing because the whole point of hiring coaches saying. Hey i'm allowing somebody else to advise me on how to move forward. And i'm willing to do what i need to do to make. It happen very similar in sports. You know one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time is phil jackson. He coached michael. Jordan scottie pippen but he also coached the lay kobe bryant shaquille o'neal a lotta great players but these players would not be great would not achieve their level of excellence if they didn't allow themselves to be coached if they allow themselves to follow through. And do what the coaches asking them to do.

"I know that a lot of people listening in manhattan or the bronx or brooklyn right. Now are saying okay. Enough of the nineties bowls. I know they beat the knicks at every. Turn and michael jordan dropped. I think he dropped fifty seven one night and madison square garden. But hear me out. This is not the story about the ninety s bowls. This is a story and microcosm piece of evidence of the disturbing trend. We are living through right now which we call critical race theory. We call it critical race theory. You can call it. Whoa chasm you could call it the new racial construct you'd call it equity this example with scotty. Pippin is the perfect example. Where you have a multi decade friendship between scottie. Pippen and phil jackson. They win six championships together. Led by michael jordan. Horace grant was on the team for a couple of years and they recruited dennis rodman for the last couple of years who played for the pistons. Probably the best sports team ever assembled. I would love anyone to try to tell me otherwise. They went six in the nineties on six championships every time they went to the finals but the new way of viewing problems and this is the way we are training. Our students to look at issues is to immediately seek racial conflict. Not look at other motives not look at other potential prerequisites. So he looks at this. What instance and dan. Patrick was a very good interviewer and was very fair. Sometimes dan patrick can be all over the place. That's a different segment for a different time or dan. Patrick said hold on scott. You said that this was racially motivated. What if phil jackson's actions such as giving the final shot. Toni kukoc who he made by. The way could have been described by other factors. What if coach had the hot hand which he did. What if phil jackson. One of the you scottie. Pippen as a decoy. Which he did. They are infinite potential explanations or why this decision twenty-six years ago was made so. Why now scotty. why now. When you're being interviewed by. Dan patrick you have to come over with your massive afro. And you looks like look like you're on four hours of sleep promoting bourbon. Do all of a sudden have to say that. Phil jackson is actually david duke. Is that the way we have to now. View the nineties bowls. The nineties bowls was actually being held hostage by nathan bedford forrest. Is that the argument. That scottie pippen is now making not to mention phil. Jackson went on to go win five titles with kobe bryant with shaquille o'neal and kobe kobe bryant and the entire los angeles lakers. Probably the most -ccomplish te basketball coach outside of john wooden in history. So why now scottie pippen. We'll because this is why scottie. Pippen has always been a bitter person. This pains me to say. I love the ninety s bowls. And i've always given scottie. Pippen hall pass scottie. Pippen has never put an ultimate purpose above himself. He delayed a late season surgery at the last final championship. Run in the six year over the summer. He delayed it intentionally. Because you wanted to enjoy the summer and michael jordan even said that was a mistake. Remember this in cut fifty eight. This news report is when scottie pippen refused to play the last one point. Eight seconds of a tied playoff game because you got upset at the coach. Cut fifty eight. Why was bowls all star team. Leader scotty pippin. On the bench at the crucial climax of last night's showdown with new york phil jackson believes got pippen's defection with a combination of a number of frustrating incident leading up the patrick ewing's game-tying basket with less than two seconds. Left in the game the bulls call a time out and designed the flavor. Toni kukoc gotti pippen refused to go back in instead he went to the end of the bench hitting a second time out and new coach made the shot. Look scotty pippin is a bitter person and the critical waste grace theory. The woke the equity way of viewing the world empowers bidder people and it suffocates gratitude. Instead of scottie pippen saying you know. I made millions of dollars and i was underpaid but i signed that contract. I made right by my family but we won six titles. We won gold medals. We are the top of the world instead he decides to play into bitterness. Scotty can finally be important again by playing the victim and attacking his wonderful coach. Who nothing but decent scottie. Pippen and understanding and patient with his childlike attitude the garbage of critical race theory and how it trains people to think will destroy every single black and white relationship in this beautiful country. Scottie pippen use the defend phil jackson and honor him but now he's empowered to call. The leader of the greatest team ever assembled the worst thing. You can call somebody a racist. And if it can happen between scottie. Pippen and phil jackson. It'll happen between every single white and black friendship and relationship in america. We say they're trying to divide us. They are and use this as an example. If they can divide the nineties bowls they can divide our entire mation. This is an example of what we are teaching our children. Thanks so much for listening everybody. Email us your thoughts. Freedom at charlie. Kirk dot com. And if you want to support our program who to charlie kirk dot com slash support..

"That doesn't sound like a crisis. That sounds like something we should approach with prudence and practical judgment and wisdom. The next round of lockdowns are coming. Do not let them do it again. Don't let them shut down your schools. Don't let them put forward a new mandate instead. We need massive public demonstrations of civil disobedience. And that includes you. Okay i want to get to the scottie. Pippen story so a lot of you know that i am a big nine thousand. Nine hundred ninety s chicago bulls fan specifically michael jordan fan of phil jackson fan. The last dance which was on netflix and espn was probably one of the greatest documentaries ever made. Something always bothered me about scottie. Pippen and how he was portrayed in the censio is kind of seemed like a bitter jerk. He always seemed to be not part of the team player. Deep down he thought he almost had the talent and the skill of michael jordan. This was portrayed in many different ways throughout the throughout the documentary. So scottie pippen came out in an interview with dan patrick the other day and all of a sudden called phil jackson the head coach of the chicago bulls from the nine hundred ninety s a racist and was all around this specific incident. Or instance of scottie. Pippen not getting the last shot in one of the years. That michael jordan took off to go play for the chicago white sox. Many people know this michael jordan went and played for the chicago white sox for a couple years just to clear his head won. Three championships took a couple years off. And then won three championships. After that. i'm gonna play cut sixty two. This is dan. Patrick asking scottie pippen. Do you think phil. Jackson was a racist scottie. Pippen says i don't have a problem with that. He says phil jackson was absolutely a racist. And what's so important about. This story is not just how disappointed. I am in scottie. Pippen and not just how alarming this is about how we are now seeing friendships and bonds and teams deteriorate under this new racial obsession in craze with so fascinating this how the media is now piggybacking and almost encouraging the piling on phil jackson who very well might be the least racist person ever to coach a national basketball team. Let's play cut sixty two or would. Tony was a rookie last shot. And you've put me amounts. That's what i mean racial like. That was scotty pippin stain but but met bunt pays to be. Mvp that you're right because you by saying a racial move. Then you're you're calling. Fill a racist. Got a problem with that. Do you think phil was or is. Oh yeah oh yeah. Of course scottie. Pippen says of course phil. Jackson was a racist. You see the new way of viewing problems in two thousand twenty one america and they're talking about something i think happened in nineteen ninety four. I was one years old. The new way of viewing problems is too. I see if any racial attitudes could be blamed for the suffering or the injustice the inequality. This is a very important point the way we are training our children and the way we are encouraging our celebrities to view. Anything you don't like is to blame racism. This right here is critical race theory at work. You want to see this theory. That's being taught your children. All of a sudden example of it scottie. Pippen calling his coach his beloved coach from the nineteen nineties that he's always had nothing but positive things to say to say. You know what all this bitterness. I feel i know who to blame the white man. I'm gonna go blame the six foot eight white coach. Who is coaching us all these years. That's him it. That's actually who i want to blame. You see. this is a new way to view and process events. It's overly simplified and incredibly misleading. Instead of scottie pippen saying you know what maybe. Toni kukoc coach. Who made the shot by the way. Got the shot. And i was used as a decoy. I'm going to instead create racial division and disharmony when there is none instead. I am going to say that. The nineteen ninety s really phil jackson was leading the kkk. His best his friendship with dennis rodman was a farce. The fact that our team was our starting lineup was a majority. Black lineup was a total lie..

Scottie Pippen Accuses Phil Jackson of Being Racist

"Retired NBA star Scottie Pippen says retired La Laker and Chicago Bulls coach Phil Jackson is a racist. Why do you recall that pivotal playoff game when Michael Jordan was playing baseball in the Chicago Bulls still did? Well, their star now with Scottie Pippen and a pivotal point in the game, Phil Jackson called a play for a white player named Tony Ku coach. And Scottie Pippen was so angry he refused to go on the court. Remember that people later on, apologize for and let the team down yada, blah, etcetera. He now says Phil Jackson made his decision because wait for it. Phil Jackson is

"Any defense the way he can because he's such an elite athlete. Then were getting the best of paul george and by the way. Let's not be giving him out because he's played the most minutes of anybody in the playoffs. If fatigue is somehow the reason that we get these up and down performances. His first quarter was as bad quarter. His third quarter was his best quarter. If i'm going to have an issue with fatigue. I would think it would happen in the second half rather than at the beginning of the game. Scottie pippen's got a book out. I don't think he would have written it without the documentary by michael jordan. It feels like a lot of grievances. It feels like cable political television where it's just grievance grievance grievance whereas i think jordan's documentary was celebrating. What was great and rocky and tough about the dynasty. There's claims now from scotty that the final shot coach did it was racial with phil jackson. What's your reaction to that. Is the book called axe to grind. Was that the title of the it should have been. That's scotty is the idea. That phil jackson's decision to have a toni. Kukoc take the last shot in a game. I mean at the time nobody looked at it. Well that's a curious decision. Why dissing scotty like that was like yeah. I could see why he would do that. Because tony is the better knockdown shooter in the last situation like that. So and by the way did he not. Yeah he made the shot. so what are we. What are we talking about. Why are we read shooting this at this point. Here's here's the one thing i will tell you. Is that at that time and with scotties era of of nba players. The belief was that the rise of european players was the nba's way of maintaining a certain percentage of white players in the league. The us american born white players weren't making it very very minimal number and the belief was among players in the nba. At the time. Was that the reason. The euros were gaining popularity and traction was because it allowed the league to maintain a certain number of white players in it. So i don't know if that thought that whether you believe it or not. That theory is informed. Some of what scotty was saying. But i mean let's face it whether he's saying that phil was racist toward kobe or dotty. There was never any indication now. Phil could be selfish. Fill could be like i want to do. What's best for me. But i always got the sense that fills decisions were based on. How do i. How do i win how to maintain my championships and nothing beyond that. I've just there was never a glimmer and all the time that i covered phil jackson. It was in l. A. or chicago that i ever got the sense that there was ever a decision made based on race ric. "Is. I was mind boggled. And i don't get it. I don't have to get it at amy. I sure as hell don't have to think ooh that'll be fun. We'll talk about that. We're talking about relief pitchers right now and something the astros are gonna add. The key is who we mentioned hudson. We mentioned craig kimbrel top ten of those available. That could be on the move right tyler. Who got number three number. Three is richard rodriguez from the pirates is one that's been on everybody's radar heavily hasn't been talked about for months now as far as a guy who could be available this year. Yeah he's a guy. That's i think he's under control for another two or three seasons. He's what he's thirty one years old. He's not making a lot of money. He's having a very nice she. He's had a very nice career over. The last four years with pittsburgh pitches for a team. That's obviously not very good but is got tin safe than this year's one. Seven eight yards away. He's not a big huge velocity guy. I think he sits in the low. To mid ninety s fastball. My issue with him is that he's controllable for years. Which is great. There's no real issue with that. Let's not initially prospect price to get that cost more. Sure does because of the control and he's also a strictly a to pitch guy gets to pitch a good ball park. Yeah you've got no no issue with guys being su pitch guy. I think if the right he throws ninety two ninety three. I wonder in high leverage situations in the postseason. When you're not you don't when you can't reach back and get ninety seven. And a hitter knows he throws of south pulled up his numbers earlier he throws his fastball for sadie seven percent of the time and the look in the low to mid he throws the slider thirteen percent. If you came here a guarantee the slider number would go way up. I was gonna say because right now. The truth is. Mc said he's got to pitches. He's one pitch dominant ninety nine. Here's only hit one. Eighty one against his fastball this year but hitters only hidden seventy seven against his slider. If he came here brent sean would in the analytics department say we're gonna need you throw it to convince him to trust it. Look at the numbers and number. Say do you. Can you throw it for strikes and get people out. Yeah they're not hitting you so throw it. Yeah and in order for make that fastball. Look ninety seven ninety six and the movement on it. You gotta throw that thing more than thirteen percent of the time. Meaning the slider. Yeah now if you ramp it up at a c. No boston hyundai to pitch guy and he thought eighty five percent. Time all you want. I don't care but with this in order to get where you're going. You gotta throw both. Yeah and and then be good at both right. I get his fastballs okay. He's the averages. Ninety three point one which is fine but now that's that's below average for guys. In this position it comes a fastball to continuous pace to pitch guy. I'm tom i think for the for the price point that it would take to get a guy that's got multiple years of control. How much does he make. Anyway he's only one point seven million. He's going to go up with the numbers that he keeps putting up his salary. Will i just. I would want more fastball. And i did make control at the strike at on the man. I met control over his contract class. More right so there we are. We're through three criminal kimbrel still top your wishlist of those three correct. Yeah okay even though. He's the most expensive but gives you the best chance right now and versatile i mean gives you the most versatility in that bullpen with presley. As well all right data so the next two are both within division and this first one. It's going to be more of a wait and see because it depends on where this team is at the trade deadline and the four church sandwiches a month away. The i The fourth person is russell. Ecclesiastes the closer for angel's name on here before and after this season so that's three of the four cats that are that are rentals. You traded for him. You're not bringing him into the closer to like. he's not even in a competition. He strictly a middle relief. Yeah like ryan presley's locked into his spot. No doubt his. I think is walked numbers way down this season. He's he's got a big issue with walks in the past. I'm not the biggest fan. I just don't i wa- the i've seen the astros aborderait him enough times where i'm like hit soured me. Yeah like i said it's all plus right it's also got a for your point of view mc gotta sift through it a little bit saying you've watch astros rakim and that's the this is the astros do yeah. It is the astros a different cat hidden to eighty right and he just like i'll watch him though and i think he puts too much traffic on the basis High stress guy. He's not now look stuff wise. It's all there in ninety. Six ninety seven monarch fastball. Doesn't mean it does. That doesn't matter anything. If you're living under anxiety and stress the whole time yeah and and and baserunners on a regular basis because it takes won miss and now you're now you're just giving up two runs on a base hit right even if it's cheapie right to make sense i tyler next guy in the division so this next one will definitely be available because this team sucks by. Would you take a shot on ian kennedy of the rangers. You have to make the phone call cher. You said in a nice season making no money. He doesn't have. He doesn't have ninety eight but he's got ninety. Five is always been a tank and he is. He is also season. He's also making only two point fifteen. Yeah not making money. I don't think the rangers for us two point five but for i don't either regardless of anything unless they were overwhelmed. I thought kennedy. Kennedy solid and kennedy would help this team. If you're going to get him. The rangers i go back to hoping that with their new. Gm employee and chris young the the borders between dealing with each other would kind of go away because they they've kind of thousand mccoy's yes since harvey really things have not. They've made trades in the past from the astros weren't good. Yeah but it's been about a five year sour. I don't think it'd be on the astros that they didn't get now with luna being gone. Maybe changes i would look into it their ability to be the top of my list. There are a little build. Their ability to deal with each other was a tad more contentious than it should be. Now that it is so maybe call. Sheila outside shot and quite frankly i think ian kennedy ended up being here. That would give you something. That's a little red bull into your perk. Your excitement up. I wouldn't mind having a mere seven. I sees it now your number one choice but if that was the guy you could nod your head and say okay. I can deal with last time. The astros made a trade with the rangers was twenty fifteen. That's why said been about five. Years traded carl koran to the rangers for akeem bostick. There you and i have no idea what he's doing right out of baseball think boston actually ended up back with the rangers. At one point. I think title one more before we go to break. We will skip kendall graven because Dodge that one number seven. This team will also be in full fire sale mode taylor rogers of the twins a matter of fact when the when the trade deadline hits there'd be like five guys in the dugout minnesota facetious if you're talking about all the teams we've mentioned there. There's no question. He is a under team control through two thousand twenty two and he's also a lefty which could come in handy. The next thing. I mean like me less brooks rather. That's fine with me. I just don't think that they need to add a third lefty the bullpen. Because i think you're gonna unless they're getting rid of one of their lefties but he's got big stuff. What is it Rayleigh taylor and him would be the case. Yeah yeah right. So yeah third lefty but he does have good stuff and the minnesota twins. I'll be more shocked.

richard rodriguez taylor rogers seven percent carl koran thirteen percent two Sheila ninety five guys one point seven ryan presley ninety seven both ninety nine two point hudson kendall graven two runs Six

"Jambi line. He made a comment look quickly. He got run out of time and bingo gone dawn. I noticed the nineties. But even then i don't care what it is yeah To me you make i always. Maybe this is the naive part. Because i don't walk in an african american shoes or we don't. We're not impressed. I don't claim to be or any of that. And i don i cancel. I know what scotty was. I don't know what's got and why he was offended. You defended because coup coach got the shop but for me guys i in this landscape as an nba coach decisions sisley the nba says. We're talking about scotty pippin. when you're designing a play. Do you think that any coach in this league. Thanks gotta get shot. I i think he's an idiot down. I'll tell you when the white guy's got to get a shot if he's the best player on the team i would imagine dallas at times useless. Probably gonna get mostly Poised for him because he's the best player on the team goes dig. Dig dig dig. Dig dig right. So i think in the landscape were it and when you in our locker room in the nfl or in in basketball. I'm like a the last thing i ever thought. I gotta drop back. I know our quarterbacks dropping back man warns drop them back and refuses it though the white guy or i'm dropping back and he'll chris carter's wide open. It has eight million catches but let me throw to the rookie. Who's not covered. Because he ran the wrong route. Walk chris now. The did work like that. It works like for the most part. Now i've maybe. Somebody's got some deep seated dot. I can't fathom coach thinking that way. I can't even can't it's hard for me to fathom a coach or player playing in our sport or another sport in this day and age or any day and age more now because back in the day it was like baseball was all white right until basketball definitely had it's different no question. Yeah but i wouldn't born the neither you but with all the changes in the evolution of of sport and also the progress. hopefully we're making. I can't fathom sitting in the locker if they can. That coach doesn't like black guys who doesn't like white guys. If you're black coach. I'm gonna give it to the to the african american because well the white guy just i. I just don't like him but he's on results based business and it's hard to imagine that it exists. How any sort of racism exists from in the locker room right where. I've talked about the diversity and inclusion. How does it happen right. So do we have a big on tyler off that or should we re skipping. It today was nice to talk about. I don't even know if we need a load the poll question but it's it makes for fodder for us to discuss. I really know real quick before we go to break the hard to fathom right. Anybody like i said i. I'm not scotty. I wasn't there. And what about scotty goal this. Remember now his wife. What's her name. Larsen seems to be still married. I don't know if they are they. She doesn't come home to him does she. She's banging. She's well having such a twenty something year old rolling through some of the players serve. Anyway that's got to be emotionally difficult wife or ex wife or not. And didn't scottie pippen. My didn't scottie. Pippen lose a son. Did he lose research. I listen that trauma. One hundred percent Sensitive and and compassionate for that. But that's the time if you're going through that emotion maybe you don't wanna go on and start saying fills racist and he's been divorced. I guess for a while right but still but she kept his name. I guess it's still. I mean it's difficult your ex-wife do you spend all that time with your like. That's gotta be tough. We'll come back. we put we put it up. We'll put it up next segment but this is if you didn't see we'll hear from scottie. Pippen and some of the things he said on dance show and i think they were baffled. Because paul pabst andrew part of the dannettes. We're saying you're not gonna believe what. Scotty san on the show. It's his opinion and he's entitled to it and if that means empty and the bucket to feel better and it's it makes him feel them. I get it. But i don't think i agree with all of it and i find an. I don't know phil jackson's approach at all. I guess i'm naive enough to think that in the nba. It's hard for me to picture an nba coach or nfl coach making decisions based on the color of one's skin as opposed to its family. You spend more time with them than you do your family clearly. He was making all those decisions based on that because he kept giving the ball to jordan and he kept giving the ball shaq and kobe. What else what else can you say there. You go sports coup coach. Just he was the outlier. Scotty you sit there. The who coach shoe. Yes you thank. Here's pretty good. Sportstalk seven ninety..

"Tyler love this because of the bigfoot. Because he says dave's and i don't know if there's going to the big whatever we're discussing it who's comments left you the most baffled this week jay williams jalen rose scottie. Pippen who else we missing way. Hold on jalen rose. I must have missed this. Pardon me jalen. Rose saying kevin love in. The past week was a token white guy on the olympic team. That's right. I did see that. Yeah and apologized for it and it would have been simple of jalen like i said who i really like. He's always been good to me. I think and i think jalen and he knows basketball. He's done a little bit of everything broadcasting and since apologized probably would have been better served. And i would agree and i think we. Mcu and i discussed this to last week. Along with tyler is late last week. That jalen kevin love shouldn't be on the olympic team but it ain't because he's white. It's because he's not good right now and he's been hurt right man but i also i have to look at the situation. Haven't sorta gregg popovich. The guys that turn emigrate popovich also wants a private veteran. Big ryan can stretch the floor right fever basketball. It's important to have those kind of big men right. Stretched the best twice have a rice. It may not be the best twelve twelve a guy who is anything but racist roster right now. I don't believe listen. If you took twelve best players who kevin love would be the eighth pro bowl. Alternate wouldn't play right or we wouldn't be right. He would not but and when jalen calms you also have to consider. Gregg popovich is the coach. Is there any more non-racist For diversity and engender although sang's gregg popovich as a coach at ain't like you've ever questioned and they gregg popovich racist that's never been right. Didn't look at it and say something going on here. I don't know. Maybe i'm just blind. Really they a white guy on there. I looked at the rosser. Said man didn't get a lot of great commitments from great player right. Okay why the initial thought is no kevin. Love doesn't belong on their twelve best players now. Been banged up has not but as you're constructing roster it's twelve guys who are gonna fit with what you do it. Hasn't he been on before. Yes yes he's been on it before so guy who knows what's going on when still shoots thirty almost thirty six percent from three this year when he played for the value in that right for the style of play. They have to play he. He's not for the twelve best player no but he may fit in perfect for what i trust pop more than i do most the valuation when it comes to field the us basketball team in the olympics. Let's put it that way. And i'd probably trust pop more than i do. Jalen rose we're talking about filling a team and i like jailed. But we are saying pop. Jay williams or scottie pippen but maybe that's played out because well even though pippins was yesterday we can't do it and i'm sitting here thinking of different ways to approach this i guess I just i. I don't know what scott ping was thinking yesterday and we got some sound. We'll play this segment. Go into the top of the hour. But phil jackson and dan gave him an out he did. Did during what. Phil did like realistic. Well tune of. 'cause i don't know he said we'll dan. You're not on the practice floor. I was around him every day. He also accused. Michael jordan of being selfishly. So that's who mike is yet. We all know that yes. Mike probably knows it but is isn't it. Ask ball player. He was selfish reason. He was the best player on the floor but he also was not. Just you call him selfish selfish when you're doing what you did to help your team win. Six six championship call you. That still bothered by two things one is. He thought he thought the michael jordan. Steve kerr when they talked and steve. You're going to be open at the free. Throw line for the last shot. He said that was scripted for cameras for my documentary that that wasn't just off the cuff. When he told steve kerr to be ready he said that was all camera for the cameras. Pre rehearsed scotty said that about yesterday. He also said that have been here. The time michael wasn't here. Don't i deserve our planet in mvp level this. I'm just telling what he said yesterday. Said i was planning to. Mvp don't you talk to him. The third person throughout this whole answer. We'll do anything scottie. Pippen deserved a chance to take the last shot. We draw it up and he gave it to a rookie and toni kukoc and so there's a bitterness and so i guess scott scott. He never had a season where he should. Mvp canned he will. He thought he was talking about was an mvp guy that year and he was thinkable since michael having earned. Didn't scottie pippen. As he referred to himself earn a chance to get the last shot called. Michael selfish shit. The team goes on and he's bombed. The coup coach went sat down. He wasn't going onto the court because they didn't design it for him and well and he said the show was designed for michael by the way. Not for steve. Kerr scotty said but he was bummed that that he gave to white guy basically and said that you've played on teams when you're really about the team to do you care. I know all. I want to win. Now if you said sean you ought to run an option definition me the best chance to get the end of the definition of selfish here right. It just is. And i wasn't in the locker room with phil. Jackson is still and this may be naive. Mc and tyler. I still may be naive with this. Having been in a locked room all the years. I can't remember a coach thinking. I'm going to make a decision. Based on the color of your skin in five cannot professional sports appear in the nba. It feels like it'd be difficult to run your team that way but yet thank she just just and if you did you'd be out rope. How long would that last. I ask who was it that got canned.

"Monday and things will be back to normal but for the next two hours. We got robbed. We got these. Alex tie shirt on a phone. Flashback friday and we got the loquacious. Brian finley a. n. At the bottom of the hour. Ralph lawler the former play-by-play voice. Why the la clippers. You know he's excited to see them in the conference finals for the first time so we will talk to him. That should be a lot of fun. Of course we've got game. Two of the eastern conference finals coming up between atlanta and milwaukee and it has been a surprising one right now because atlanta is up one game tanada. Alright we just had during the last hour an interview with tyler. Times g. magazine staff writer. Who had a great interview with scottie. Pippen and pippen was as outspoken as ever. Maybe more outspoken than ever and and people on talk shows on tv. Air radio have been talking about some of the things that scottie pippen said and one thing that's interesting and i brought this up with tyler. Is that pippen. I mean he's he subtly. I can't say he's going shots at mike michael jordan. But there's a little sense of you know my got all the love when we played. And you know you're okay. He's the go. But i'm right there you know. It wasn't just him and he's obviously throw shade at kevin durant saying he's not a team player and he don't know how to win yet he's thrilled. He threw shade. Charles barkley that article. He threw shade if phil jackson saying that when he had toni kukoc coats. You know. shoot game winning. Shot or game tying shot against new york in the playoffs in nineteen ninety four hundred it was racist and lot of a lot of people thrown stuff at but one that he does not throw anything at cs. Have nothing but love for is lebron james. Do we have any sound from well. I guess there's no sound yeah interview but he. I think the reason or one reason. Scottie has so much love for lebron i was back at. Espn adult no how long ago this was. But it was nearly ten years ago when scotty. I said that lebron might be better than george. Now think that's how he said it might be. I'll ask them that question. It was on mike and mike in the morning. And i talked to scotty in at the in the espn hallways recently or before. That time. and i knew he might say something like that just from our conversation and he did and so he's been back and forth. He recounted you know eventually. Because i think he caught some heat from mike and maybe ryan harper. But he's always loved lebron james and his game and i think a big part of raji is because there is a lot of scotty in lebron's game like look they both essentially point forwards. Both were great defenders. Both great passers and facilitators and scores. Now obviously libron does most of that..

"Interview got posted. And like 11. Minutes later, Cady had tweeted at Scottie Pippen twice. And he went there. He went right to Scott. He's two biggest weaknesses. Scotty's biggest weakness is not that he was robbing that he was the second best player on historically great teams. That's not a weakness. Scottie Pippen is a first ballot Hall of Fame top 50 all time player who have anything I think is under appreciated as an all time great His two weaknesses are the 1.8 seconds when he didn't go in the game when Phil draws up a play for KU coach. And then the fact that they should, and they showed this in last dance that he chose to get surgery at the start of a season rather than during the summer because he was aggravated about his contractual situation. His last year in Chicago, the 97 98 season. All of that was in last dance. And so Kevin Durant tweets about both of those

"He's getting that second. That that Scottie Pippen, Joe Dumars attention. You know what it means, like We gotta worry about the primary school in Austin. So yeah, he's gonna be great when there's another primary scorer. Nonsense. Zack doesn't have that Zach is more athletic. Exactly bigger and exactly. There's more explosive. And he has that type of athleticism and those type of gift that Hey, has superstar potential. I think that Um, I think the problem with the Bulls and the ball in years and the Hoiberg years that they were trying to make him something else. We were trying to make him off facilitated. They're trying to make him get other guys going when the reality reality is the way that he gets guys going is by getting going himself. And Now he's garnering the attention of the entire defense. And now Lowry can miss those open shots that he's getting for him. You know, when Dale Carter could be whatever he is, I'm not even sure he's like a 67. Powers dinner, You know, I mean, they just need to, you know, go ahead and send him out to pasture. I thanks. I appreciate it. And there was I don't want to overrate one moment that I saw on TV. It was a game a game or two ago, It was either Dallas or this last game. What they won, where they was a time out on the floor. Zach was walking to the bench in Billy Donovan met him out a little further onto the floor and was pointing here pointing their Zach was looking right at him and then motioning with his hands there, and then he looked at him and he nodded and he went to the bench. That would have been greeted last year with an eye roll. Do you know what I mean? Like it? Boiling would have said something to him. He would have rolled his eyes and walked away. But like they're engaged, they're listening. They're being coached by a professional right now. Harada in Cicero. You're on ESPN 1000. What's up, Sherrod? Harry, I've got to meet here. Please just pass on what the brother said before about exact like you gotta understand. Like brother came out. You see that lady? Extremely young. He has been paid to the point I soon got. He blew out his knee come back and have a piss poor culture and everything he's learned everything. He's done. Done on the fly until he got hold of Billy Donovan and he's still getting your 22 23 24 25 points again. 27 points again. And this kid has looked at like her. But he ain't happy today. Winning. You gotta be more careful. Everybody was heard as well. That old thing was hurt. Everybody was herded. He's had people heard around him. I love him, so it's hard to win like that, and he's been doing what he's doing and fight. Having Is that thing in his way He's been doing it in spite up, so I'm like, Yo, I'm looking at him. I'm like, I don't know what we're looking for. We had Jimmy Butler. But he wasn't a star. So we got rid of him and that we still looking for the next Jimmy. Now we got him like I don't know what we're looking for exactly. I was like, What was we doing, man? This is not what this is about. Like you said, Sylvie, we add two. We don't take away from you Don't just find 27 points a game. This plan stinks. Success with six rebounds. You know, this is a fad, the 6 ft six explosive consumptive Jim Adlai and but said before he is our number one to Kian, and if the Bulls such a bad thing he's still getting 30. Still gave him 35. You still get him? 38? Because this kid is talented. This kid that was over 30? Yeah. Sure I thank you. The good collar. Sherrod. We're rhythm at the end. There was a little screwed up. We were dancing. Speaking of that we've needed contestant right now for my wife for radio partners Dance. 3123323776 what we'll call her. Would you like to play a waddle? "Thing about horse Horace was not just based on his own behalf he was pissed for Scotty Pippen is well because aside from Jordan giving some praise to paper early in the series most of the talk about Pippin was about all these low moments I remember being hold on call the number two guy decorated it's gotten papers put three so badly in terms of the moderate in terms of the one point six or seven seconds Selfridge I I have never seen this and all of my life in the respect of people out there I think games six could barely walk do not down on his back try to do whatever he could to help the team but my my my point is while I was at one point sixty seven seconds in the documentary so called documentary about it will be with only eighteen while they're in there we handle that very year really well as a team he he was wrong for doing that well you're still we went after the game we'll do it up there we have to say bill car right and then we handle it was over it was over we go on the techniques to seven games told me it was over why bring that up that's my question everybody out there is listening it's always grant and it's a fair question if this series is about the final season the so called last dance why was something from four years earlier included something that Jordan was not even therefore he was out playing baseball that didn't concern him he was on that team as Horace said the team handle it in the paper knew it was wrong even though people did say if the documentary that he would not change anything anyway if this was about Michael Jordan's version of the final season why was something that did not involve Michael Jordan why was that given so much time in the dock why was it so important to Jordan to bring up the lowest point of Pippen's career and if you want to say yeah well because that was important believe me he left out a lot of important things so why was it important to him to put that in there

How the Warriors stack up against Jordan's Bulls

"Everybody in the free world. Watch the last dance the other night. It appears Draymond. Green did too and draymond green went on a podcast yesterday. uninterrupted W RT s after. Show party with Paul Rivera and Maverick Carter. No less And he likened their last season with Kevin Durant the warriors to what he had just watched on. Tv with the last season of the Bulls and he didn't hold back and he said one of the things from watching it. Was that what you saw? Is everybody kind of set it up like this is going to be the last year and so there was none of that elephant in the room hanging out there for their team That last warriors team with Durant and said that you know. Steve tried to deal with it but Kevin was asked about it every day. Dream on saying I want to be a warrior for Life Klay say and I want to be a warrior for life and then there was this elephant in the room the entire year and it was almost as if he watched the last dance and thought Jeez They handled that a lot. Better like hanging out there the whole year. Everybody knew that was going to be the end and so they just treated it that way the whole year. What you guys think. I mean ownership didn't handle it better. The player of the players may have the players may have handled it at worst. And Scottie Pippen you know getting the surgery when he did wanting out you know Jordan thinking was selfish but ownership on the warriors side of things. At least their goal is building with sustainability. They WANNA keep steph curry and Klay Thompson and continue winning. Reisen Dorf in Krause and the Bulls were ready to pull the plug after the first three championships. Trying to trade pippen for camp granted that still a win but then after it it's about China. Tear Down Arriba. I don't see that from the warriors now but it is fascinating. How much history has repeated in some ways with the disease of more and whatnot that manifested with Katie? Always being jealous of steph curry in the spotlight that he received and you look at what the Bulls went through in the nineties. I it is hard to see the parallels from the players side. We think I didn't see it. I just think Jerry mind was a I think he was a little narcissistic with it is totally different situation. Durant in that situation is basically the Rodman character. Rodman was on the Bulls for three years. Durant shows up for three years pushes him to another level but other I mean the bulls thing was so different Jordan and pippen were together for you know twelve years and there were Phil Jackson for. I don't know it was at least nine or whatever and everything was the same and they were just going going going and they had all these different ups and downs and that warriors thing you know they durant was on that team for blip was if you add up when when he actually showed up and then when he left. It's less than three years. It's like thirty months It's not a perfect comparable for for either team. But I do think you know the players you know seeking that attention. Wanting what's there's at I think with that aspect there's some similarities but overall though I mean I'm with you in the sense that ownership in front office objectives here are far different in what the Bulls wanted to do in the nineties with Crowson. Reisen Dorf is far different than what the warriors are trying to do with Myers and and warriors ownership. Now right I mean the differences with the warriors thing. It was one person undermining the whole thing. Durant yeah the Bulls thing it was. It was like a bad marriage with you. Know eight nine different people. All knowing like the marriage is ending and I think with the warriors they kept trying to pull durant back in that second season when he was there was when it started to fall apart in the third season. I still feel like they felt like it might be salvageable until they had that clippers game and then after that I think there are some similarities with the chemistry. Let's say let's say this. Let's say draymond. His way would have played out the way he wanted to write like. I don't buy for one second. If Kevin Durant started that season said this is my last year with the warriors it still would have been a problem like the right here the whole year by the way. He should have done that though. That's how he should have handled it and I think part of the problem is he didn't handle it that way. And you know the players and the team new organization. They knew he was leaving. They knew about all the New York stuff they thought it was gonna be the Knicks but they knew he was leaving. It was by especially by February march ever in the league new so I think from that standpoint underminded what's the elephant in the room. That draymond talking about that. You know what I'm saying if they all had this understanding Kevin. Ain't going to be with US after this year. Then why is he acting like it was a problem throughout the entire year? That Kevin was just saying Oh. I don't know we'll see we'll because I think Kevin probably agree with this. I think there was still hope that he might do a one eighty. You know I I think that. And honestly with the with the ninety eight balls and you're gonNA find out in the tenth part it came a lot closer to everybody coming back except for Rodman I I think they knew Rodman was done but I think once they actually won. I think there was a moment there where they were like Holy Shit. What are we doing? We gotTA defend this again.

Here's What We're Watching During Quarantine

"I've had for years box. Dvd set that celebrates the Chicago Bulls six championships in the nineteen nineties. The title is NBA Dynasty Series Chicago Bulls Real quick takeaways couple takeaways Scottie. Pippen totally underrated. I I mean. I know he's considered a legend and one of the top fifty basketball players all time. But but he's even better than that as far as the goat discussion. Greatest of all time between Jordan and Lebron James. All right I conceded. I think it was a year or so ago that Lebron has probably taken that title. I'm more than willing to be argued that I'm more than willing to be argued wrong as a Chicagoan but one thing is for sure after going through some of these. Dvd's Jordan is so much more fun to watch. I mean he just. He spent so much time doing beautiful things. High up in the air way above Lebron's had would have been so That's just a blast to watch now. You can't this is kind of a sneaky. Pick you can't stream this. Dvd set so. I'll take this occasion as an excuse to mentioned that. Espn's ten part Michael Jordan Doc. The last eight they move that up it was gonNA come out on June nineteenth. Yup the release date is April nineteenth. So obviously I can't wait for that listeners. I can maybe loan you my bulls box set because it isn't streaming but otherwise just look for the last dance this weekend on ESPN. I will be watching it. Yeah I have not seen the set that you are watching but I cannot wait for Sunday night. When the ten part doc starts it's been this mythical thing that's been rumored to be in production or potentially production for some time new house coming out and ESPN wisely bumping that up. I think it's something that a lot of people just like us are going to be watching my number three these fall under the category of blind spots and in this case there is a specific hook to Josh. Though it wasn't by design all explain it's my unofficial slash official. Bruce SURTEES MARATHON. So one day. I realize I'm kind of running out of options in terms of things that are really hooking me on net flicks and I know that there are some things I should get to real cinematic blind spots that have been mentioned on the show over the years that I feel regret about but they just seem heavy. I'm not ready for it yet. I need stuff. That's under two hours. I can knock it out and I needed to be reasonably entertaining but I do still WanNa feel like I'm getting some homework done. I do still want to feel like I've crossed something off my list that I felt for some time that I needed to get to so I went over to Amazon prime. And one of the things that popped up happen to be dirty Harry the first dirty Harry movie with Clint. Eastwood Don Siegel directed and right away. I realized how stylishly shot it was and so after I watched it I looked up who the DP was and I see that. It's Bruce Surtees. I think yeah I know that name. I can't really tell you what else he's done. I don't know much about his history's legacy at all but that is a name I have heard and oh I'll just file that away okay. So what's next? Couple of days later I go back to prime one of the film's POPs up. Lennie the Bob. Fosse directed film about Lenny. Bruce and that really is one for me. I've always been ashamed because I adore. Is You know all that jazz. Fosse's film I like cabaret quite a bit as well and in the TV series Fossey Verdon some of the making of Lenny POPs up in that TV series it. Of course POPs up in all that jazz as well. A lot of cutting to scenes of the fosse alter Ego Joe Gideon cutting the movie. That would become lenny so it was kind of just been a joke for me that I've never watched this film. I decide I'm going to sit. And Watch Lenny and. I'm watching the credits. And whose name POPs up is responsible for the Black and white cinematography. It's Bruce Thirty so then decide okay. Well this is just too convenient too much of a coincidence. We're going to make this happen and I'll give you just a little bit of background on him. Is He a name? That's familiar to you at all Josh. Young familiar with the name. I don't think I would have been able to identify any of his movies though right so he got his start as a camera. Operator working with Don Siegel and especially on Siegel and Clint Eastwood Films in the late. Nineteen sixty so movies like two mules for sister Sarah and Cubans Bluff and then his first role as a cinematographer. As the director of photography was Nineteen. Seventy-one it was the beguiled so that Seagal Directing Eastwood and then play misty for me followed that where he was working with eastward again but this time Eastwood as director that was his debut he died in twenty twelve and if you look at his. Imdb the early two thousands in the nineties were not good to surtees out of maybe twenty. Titles there's not one that really stands out as essential viewing and even at the end of the eighties. The decade closed for surtees with rat boy back to the beach and licensed to drive in the eighties for him was otherwise filled with a lot of eastwood's stuff prior to that so movies like Fire Fox and tight rope and sudden impact even honky. Tonk man his heyday really was the nineteen seventies which brought me to night moves. This is an Arthur Penn. Early Bleak Neo Noir starring Gene Hackman as a former football player turned disillusioned private. I would other type of private. I is there in the seventies and it's all set within the movie business so it's reflexive to in the mode of Altman's the long goodbye and then the one I most recently watched was another Eastwood blindspot. Which is Pale writer?

NBA: Does Steph Curry Need The Finals MVP For His Legacy?

"NBA finals begin finally tomorrow night wide Leonard comes in under the most celebration on the other side of Steph curry who in the last five playoff games has been absolutely sensational. Scoring even more than Kawai. Steph has three NBA titles to MVP's already but not a finals, MVP Colli does by the. Curry said, quote, it's a special award that everybody wants to get, including myself. But at the end of the day, the first thing I do is look up and see, did you win or lose on quote, we'll curry need this particular ward to validate his great career. No. And the fact that I never even thought about this today as much as I think about uncover, the NBA illustrates why. I mean, I've never thought about this now. It's interesting historical thing, Tony for particularly for older people like us who know the history of the league, and I think back on it, and of the people who've one of those who've won top twenty five place fifteen eighteen twenty players Julius Erving to me seems to be the most famous most accomplished has conic player who is not one because the other conic players, you know, they didn't win or they were the number two guy like Kevin McHale or, or someone like that Scottie Pippen great, great tonic players. I'm not gonna say they certainly are where they are. And I think Julius Irving is the guys is the only one. Right. I guess as Carmello Cremona, John Stockton, but they didn't they didn't. They didn't want to Patrick like you. Reggie, those are not commonplace like you. Seth curry has a chance to be an iconic. He's got a chance to win four championships in five years, he's the greatest shooter of all time. All right. I think of this as a small, it just doesn't even register on me, but, but magic Scott it and birds got it and Jordan's got it and his contemporaries Durant LeBron have this. So if you want to use this as disqualifier because you don't like curry, I guess you can not. I I he's an all time players ever wins this because of everything. He's one I think, might I think this is too small. You gotta get to the finals Griddle with you willing some place winning is the thing again. Tony, I just call it historical greatest note, but does it mean devalue Steph crises, not cement us, now

"Of things you face. Andrew luck this week. And I know you've seen film on Andrew. I love. Andrew lock I think life a lot of times is do you get support? Nobody can do it alone in life. Nobody no player. Michael, jordan. Yeah. Not in football, by the way, Michael Jordan needed Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson too. And I look at Andrew lock in those first few years, man. He didn't have an align. He didn't have a running game. Now, he has both Logan Ryan when you look at the film of Andrew luck. What do you see what jumps out to you? Because this is the biggest titans game in the regular season. Logan. I can remember in years. What do you see? I see that he's healthy. I mean, he's doing the ball. Like Andrew lucked does and early in his career when he was healthy and has some protection he was MVP candidate. So that's what it is the last games. He hasn't. He hasn't got saying. I mean, that's the key. If you give any quarterback or especially a good one some time in this lead. They can pick you apart. I mean, I I tip my hand. I think that we have the best cover guys NFL. I think we're the best secondary. I think we can match up with anybody man to man with our three corners and our Tuesday fifties. But if you give anybody time, you can't cover them forever. So we have to find a way to disrupt his timing it and then offense align make him uncomfortable. Similar to what we did last week. We just had to really make comfortable back there and allow our coverage in our in our in our rush to the Matt mareo, I think that's the key. You
