Juventus Win the Coppa Italia

"We have to start with the big mid week game and that was the co by final between giampiero gasperini atlanta and unplayable pillows advantis now meena. You haven't really been good this season at all. We've been wondering where is the team that we've seen when nine consecutive scotty the team that even if they play terribly they'd always find a way to win and i couldn't help a thing and we were on the commentary for this game on. Espn two that the second half. Especially i thought you event this may be wasn't the better side in the first half. I thought that they gave away more chances. To what the lanta. Maybe they got a bit lucky but in the second half this was vintage. Event is great pressing creating chances the intensity that we normally we're used to seeing from them and then in the final whistle pandemonium under appeal of felt like there was a champion champion trophy victory all the players celebrating together. It was almost like they let off all the frustration from this season. Yeah i accidentally thank you hit the nail on the head. It really was the way that they celebrated was a little bit like finding it was almost like they had recovered their identity. They had remember who they were. they were the event. is that we. We've known all this time now. It's interesting because there were movements of you and twenty twenty that i did see on dan dreyer. That was some great wins. Perhaps not always fantastic to watch. But i always knew how to control the game. A little bit better. There was a win against barcelona. There was strong winds. That i thought to myself. I can actually see what pillows doing here. There is a developing pattern of play. There is some interesting Bullpen using my voice had an issue with the fact that they always post to defeat rather than into space. They don't seem to understand chemistry just quite yet so it slows down there passing game and makes it a little bit harder to create chances at times. Looks a little bit slow but having said all of that this is event is they're always strong in defence confident capable of managing the game

How to Reliably Improve Workplace Trust and Collaboration with Jill Ratliff

"One of the things that you write about. Is that the most important skills in leadership are gaining trust and knowing how to collaborate under stress. Absolutely what is it that good leaders do and stressful moments that promote trust in collaboration. We're you know. I think that The place where trust is broken and the place where we stale lead effectively is when the situation or the circumstance that we find ourselves in is greater than our capacity to maintain equity calm clarity focusing kindness right so the the root of trust and collaboration relationships right and then that ability to build them have them maintain them and to lead be able to lead in adversity. Because honestly you know when things are going well. We don't need help when things are going well. Our personalities aren't a problem when things are going well performance. Coaching is easy. So for me. Adversity is the jewel of leadership. And it's the metal that task your own leadership development and your ability to lead in those kinds of environment. I love that lane and it's where a lot of my work said okay. So you're working with a leader. The sauce has hit the fan. There's a mess and so how do you coach them to stay calm. And everything's going to be all right. I mean those are highly stressful times and okay. Sometimes people could react a little better than they do but most people aren't ready to sink combined and like you know let's toast marshmallows stuff that needs to be done. There's clean up that needs to be done and it's not about you know pointing fingers of blame but it's like hey chuck going here. So how do you counsel them when everything inside. Them is screaming white hot. Hey let's get on it and yet that emotional outburst may or may not be the best way to express themselves at that point in time. Yeah what on the the truth of it is. It never is the best way. Because and how. I counsel them as you know i start with helping people understand. It's all about energy where i meaning that at quantum physics right if you have a negative situation negative energies very strong. Right when you walk in a room and someone's upset or something's wrong or dares challenge. What does it feel like when you walk in. You know it immediately right. And even if you're in a group of people where five people are doing fine and one. It's really upset or concerned or or off. It tends to call it the other people in the room to follow that negative energy and then when we get that way literally inside our brains we lose the capacity to think clearly and to problem solve. So what you have to understand as a leader is one and this is sort of one of the key sort of foundational principles. My work is that as a leader. You came to solve problems. That's what you get paid to do. You know when you run an organization when you are promoted into management. You're basically you just got the job title problem-solver because that's what the company's paying you to do so one you have to think differently about adversity at work in problems. Because how could it be any other way I work mostly with organizations and leaders that are leading business transformation and change and i think we all know that leadership in the role of leadership in today's world is to navigate transformation and change used to have the transformation once every couple of years we'd have to say organization through now they roll one on top of another sort of constant pace of change so it's foundational skill as a leader to understand. One problems aren't the problem. They come every day all day. And it's your job to help solve them to the energy you bring into a room when there's a problem. Is everything about creating the ability to problem solve effectively with others. So if you're not able to do that and you're the leader then clearly you're gonna waste a lot of time and set back. The process of problem solving all of that is perfectly logical. Yeah makes a lot of sense powder you do. And why don't they do that. I mean why isn't that. The accepted norm instead of somebody. Exploding because and everybody you know diving under the table because we weren't taught you know think about it. How did you learn how to solve problems. What to do when things are when your situation or circumstance you're in greater than your capability you learn from your parents you know so we. We've learned by watching how the people the adults in our lives when we were young problems. And unfortunately you know. They weren't taught either so it's not a curriculum that we teach people so part of my work. I start with sort of three fundamental ways to think about work and the very first one is self mastery but you have to understand that before you can lead anyone else you have to be able to lead by example in the first place you have to be able to lead examples and adversity. So you i help people start looking at and understanding challenging moments and situations like this game on. This is where you build your leadership muscle. And i can i guess. Make the point by sharing a story about A guy named dorsey levens who the running. Back with the green bay packers. He played in two super bowls and he is a green bay packer hall of fame forty five years old and he has a mental toughness and sports utility training company. And my son who's a professional athlete His organization higher dorsey to train my son scott and after a couple of weeks of training. He said to dorothy. You should meet my mom to. You'd think so much. Like and dorsey tells the story now. I could sure i'd love to meet your mom. You know i'll work on that and he put it off and put it off and put off and then finally said georgetown. I don't think you understand. I think you really need to meet my mom. And so dorsey says later just to be nice to scotty agreed to meet me for a cup of coffee on morning and we were gonna meet from nine to nine thirty. This was his idea and at noon. We were still sitting there. And then dorsey came to work with me and what he said. Is you know as an nfl. Running back was tough. I thought i understood versi. And i thought that you know i wouldn't have survived an nfl. He goes but what you've taught me that. I didn't understand that why i was successful as a running back is because i could take a hit will keep on going. It was yards after contact. They measured my success by and the truth of it is if the defense party company and i ran straight into the end zone every time and scored nobody would share for me. And that's that we in life like as leaders and as teams that get in a foxhole together when we solve problems for our organization or for our team and we overcome like where we cheer ourselves. That's where we grow. That's where we where we build confidence so when we look at adversity or challenge of the problem. That shouldn't be happening is hilarious right in business today. How could we go through transformation. So everything into the air have competition like we've never had before have challenges in the world like we've never had before and somehow think that we're all gonna get together under that kind of pressure and not have challenged us so we have to change the whole way. We think about adversity at work and managing other people stress. When you're leader and step one is you can't begin to help people under stress if you do not understand where you hold where you fold and what i would say hannah. If it's a skill it is not a personality trait. You learn how to do it with a few simple tools and practice

Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards agree to Russell Westbrook-John Wall deal

"But we do have a whoa bond and the wo- dam is we have a trade and we have houston agreeing to trade russell. Westbrook to the washington wizards for john wall. And a first round pick momo. What are your thoughts on the. That's an amazing. That's an amazing trade for the wizards still russell westbrook. You're talking about. That's still russell. Westbrook man like i'm i know. He didn't have the greatest year the second half of the year. He's really good. It's going to be reunited with scotty brooks. He was you know i voted him. Thirteen mile. mba last year just raced off his second half. I still think he can play to your point real quick before you finish it from january to march before the stoppage he was fan freaking tastic. Yeah i mean us. Great and i think that they. They didn't give any first round picks. Get to get off that contract. The say they had to get to give one for trump. Pick just one of the wizards right just to get off the john walsh. John hasn't played in two years I mean no more recent. Yeah i mean you know in two years doesn't really want to be there doesn't get along with bradley beal. You've just got off of massive problem if you're washington for the low low price of a first round pick and you get russell westbrook and return to play for the for the coach. He's had the best relationship with i mean for washington. It makes all the sense in the world. I'm looking at houston going west to plan your me to blow out your doors and kick out your gm and your coach. You have a plan right. Yeah did you see a player. No i think that the plan will reveal itself. The plan is now either repair. Your relationship with james harden hope that he and john wall workout or your trading hardin next.

How do you feel about Halloween?

"Do you guys feel about Halloween? I'm not a big halloween person like in general during. In general used to be my favorite holiday especially in New York City like it. It was like really my favorite holiday and then last year was like really exciting because my daughter was to last year like the first time she could like walk from door to door she doesn't remember it but my neighborhood like goes all out. So like literally like we we we left the house with our drinks and then like every single person in our neighborhood and then people from other neighborhoods like friends we just happened to run in everybody's drinking on the street and your kids are getting candy and it's just like. A love it. This year we were trying to organize a thing are your kids going to Halloween this year? So we're GONNA have my sister and my nephews over, and we're GONNA like we're sort of trying to. We're trying to figure out what we'RE GONNA. Do I think we're going to? Trick or treat in the. House behind each and maybe do a holiday craft or something so. What are you going to jail? Scottie has a great tradition tradition. This year I don't know if we are normally I. My friend memory, heart who. Loves Halloween. We started about seven years ago. She was like, do you just want to hand out candy to kids? I was like that's perfect. We put on whatever costumes we had handy and we saw salt we handed out like we sold We made a lot of money. We ended out like. I mean maybe a thousand pieces of candies. So we were like one person would run the CVS and by five more bags because it's it's actually the same neighborhood as Kurt and it's just known as a safe neighborhood with tons. It's flat, which is also in La kind of a thing like you don't want to walk up and down the hills. And so now we rent a frozen Margarita machine. And for the parents, we hand out to go cups of frozen Margaritas. Get Candy and now there's three or four of us. We decorate her yard and smoke machines and all that. But it got to the point two years ago where people are like you're the Margarita House and then. Like the dodgers are in the world series now and the dodgers are usually in the playoffs. So like the DADS will come halfway into memories householding. Margarita, watching the dodgers game behind this while we hand out candy and. It's still you know they're so nice. I, gotTa say there are so polite like it's it's awesome. So this year we might do she has sort of like the gate to her fence is like one of those old barn doors where the top to the bottom open. So we might just barn door and then we'll probably skip the MARGARITAS sadly this year just hand out bags of pre bagged candy, underrun out. I don't know kids are going to trick or treating or not because I know that. Whoever is not the? CDC whoever like someone? Some official body locally was like. They you're not allowed to trick or treat now accounting and that's what I thought too. Yeah. Yeah they're just like the. newsome Moose and was just like right. Halloween's canceled. "Scott. Welcome to the show. It's awesome to have you here Min. Banks. or It's something myself and my team we listened to you guys all the time on on just fly sports It's got a requirement for anybody that works for me to listen to your podcast though. They'll thank you. Yeah. It's awesome to have you. I mean, I know every time we've talked or I've I've just more and more intrigued by what you do. Because I, know you're not like you're not all over social media. You know you're not. You're but entire, I've just like I am. So I wish before I left. California could've stop by and really excited that chat about your. Your your insight into your system and how before we get into that I'm curious to like and I like getting into this for especially for people who have who see things in such an expansive way. But what was your gateway into coaching like what got you interested in it, and then what were some really big milestones in changing the way that you thought about your process? Yeah I, you know quick Reader's Digest version is. A pretty good athlete grown up back East right and had scholarship offers and was fortunate enough when I was in. Eighth Grade. To walk in the YMCA, fine little dungeon part where all the tough guys athletes working out in in. There was a level five Olympic lifting coach, and saw me with my little fitness books working out and said Hey kid Chimera. I WANNA teach you how to really train and while I was in eighth grade I started training with. Professional, athletes Olympic, athletes learning how to snatch clean squad sprint hurdles. Everything. So was a amazing experience for young kid be pulled into that kind of culture right away. Top properly. And then after. Know went into finance world business world is kinda miserable, but I was always getting fathers and guys played college football with call me when Scotty? Knew so much about this stuff. Helped me, I got a contract or my kids to a scholarship, teach him and I was doing it on the side and just fell in love with it and started growing in saw business opportunity, and then got called sportsmed guy in Toronto like the work I was doing and went up there and started running its clinic work with NHL guys in Canadian Olympians and stuff like that. It just grew from there kind of an organic way of. Loving it as a young young kid. Being, lucky to have someone mentor me and saw how it changed my life, and then fell into coaching. I feel like you're not the. For, some reason the finance and I didn't like it, and then again, the sports perform I. I've heard that story before I. Don't Mac Shakers on here had that too, and I feel like I've heard others. Maybe I do feel like that that like systems kinda thinking or do you think there's any thinking and finance that is helpful for sports is just make quincy dental you are. I think it's I think it's for competitors. We'll always WANNA look at measures of success. And that's kind of a natural thing. Until you realize I work, I work hard to get something and I realized I. Don't like it when I get here, that might not be success but I think finance is a challenging. Competitive. And and you know with detail and all these little nuances you can take and I think that attracts people to feel they wanna feel successful right, and then you realize you're sit in front of a computer all day long. Yeah. I. Can totally see that. Makes that makes sense I. You're speaking of success to ask the first thing. It's official question. I had and I just I guess, I, felt like starting with this rather than jumping right into the six lanes but. What is success in sport mean to you or? Yeah. So. What it used to meet. Right. So we all have these objectives and goals right, and we think that success when we meet that, we're going to be successful when feel successful yet, what happens when you need it? How long does they last for me? It lasts maybe five minutes and then I'm spending the next stuff in saying, okay. GotTa, start grinding now for the school and realizing that my daily experience wasn't great. So, success for me sport or any endeavor is your daily optimize experience that's sustainable over time. So if you're an athlete of Your Business Guy, whatever it is, if you're living your dream, you're loving your days, you're making a contribution feeling fulfilled. Ben. That's success to me. And so that's how I look at it when I get an athlete that. Wants to scholarship, but he's loving the training loving where he isn't high school having great teammates. Great relationships performing on the field. Every day is not future. You know obsessed all the time that successful to me. That makes sense with the process, right? Like. So often we just look at this. What's the goal? Win The Akron serve get the scholarship, but then, but then what I mean. Eventually it just. Eventually. There's think an emptiness. I mean, it's Nice Scholarships for sure. But at some point you get to the top and. Maybe realize you're on the wrong ladder something, but it's Where I've dealt with the most Olympic athletes after an Olympic year while they struggle. Mightily, they struggle with purpose with focus with what it all means. Up the disappointment of even if they got a medal, did feel as good as they thought. But the daily optimal experience their love in their life in the training or joining, they're enjoying the relationships are building that seems to be sustainable

Director Rod Lurie on 'The Outpost'

"The new movie the outpost. It was the most downloaded film of the weekend, and it's an immersive experience. It's about an outpost in Afghanistan at the base of this valley. If you're just joining us, it was sort of a bizarre placement of this base. But what happened was there was a Taliban insurgency of massive proportion and the director of the film Rob Gloria's is talking with us. This was a true incident. It was chronicled in a book by Jake Tapper, and then you brought it to the screen. Yeah. Jake Tapper released that best selling book in 2012. It was great. You know, when I When I first time out to do it, I called Jake up and, you know, he just wants to talk movies. So I want to do is talk about politics. So we sort of have to divvy it up every time that way. Have a conversation just because you mentioned politics I want tojust also know this is not a political film at all. I mean, really like there's no, no, it's not Pro War antiwar, pro GOP Anti GOP Pro Democrats. Cetera. There's none of that. No, it's about it's about. We really focus on the eight dudes of lost our lives and the two living member to living survivors. By definition, They're living survivors who received the Medal of Honor. One is Ty Carter, played by Caleb Landry, Jones and the other Is Scott Eastwood on DH. He plays staff Sergeant Clint Roma Shay and And that's really worried for what it really is A chronicle of what happened in the battle and sort of the events that led up to it. I would tell you more than anything else. And you know you've got Orlando Bloom and it also it's funny that one should you know, Should you give everybody best haircut and the you know basic Army. Whatever that, you know, Whatever you call it, you lose track. I guess I'm trying to say of any celebrity in it all. It's all very immersive. How did you know that was clearly a desire on your part, too? You know these battle sequences and just the feeling over time is that we're actually there at the outpost. Well, you know, the one of the things that I did mark is that I shot most of most of the film every scene in one long tape in the battle sequences, things on these long, I think really fluid takes And so you know, there's you don't think you're in a movie. I don't think you don't see cutaways. You don't see You know Scotty's would shooting his weapon and then cut a bad guy going down. It's you know, it's all in the long fluid. Um, uh, shots and as a result, I think that you're you're deeply embedded in every scene. At least that's what we were. That's what we're going for. Well, All the reviews were saying the exact same thing isn't very well reviewed film. But I have to ask you, though, from a filmmaker's pinpoint as you're doing that all in one continuous shot. You have all of these things got here got bullets everywhere and you got stuff blowing up and you've got, you know, guys running this way and other people running that way and people climbing over, you know, I mean, there's a lot to choreographing end in one of those things doesn't happen. You gotta retake it again. Oh, so like, you know, that's exactly right. So we've got special effects. I mean, you already laid it all out on the special effects the actress to get it right. And I remember there was this one really, really magnificent Take That we did, and kid Landry Jones, who zeal just hauling ass hundreds of yards, and we're following in the hallway with the, uh you know this one camera and the camera operators exhausted when it's all done, but everyone we nailed it and everybody's cheering and high fiving and tight. Carter. The actual Medal of Honor winner is there and he's hugging and crying, and you got it exactly right and then our military experts Guy named Jericho Dem and comes up and says, No, no, no, no, no, You've got it all wrong. No, no, It's a mess back guy that I was holding his weapon like that doesn't look like one explosion. Supposed to look like I said them. Come on, man. It's a movie was okay. Well, if you want every military guy in America and the world elastic find, Okay. Let it all up again and do it again, You know, And that is the thing you you have to be loyal to story and also to the look of the film as He said before the break. You know you are connected to the military sort of in your own personal history. And obviously a lot of military people looking on this movie. Well, well, you know we've gotten look, I wrote an article today in the deadline and what I said was, it's really difficult to know the metrics of success are But to me how the veterans have reacted to this has been like, unbelievable. And and you know what Marc, also how the families of fallen reacted to this. That was really freaking way. Show them this movie last October, we flew them in the moms and the dads and the brothers and the You know the wives and the kids, and we don't know what they're gonna say after work, you know? The actual soldiers that were there, looking at the worst day of their lives depicted on screen. And these families are looking at their loved ones dying on screen. You know, a couple of people afterwards and you know, I I didn't realize they swore so much. Ah, but there was really in the end, very gracious. And they hugged us and they loved us because you know they're They're boys. They're men and their sons there. They're going to be remembered forever now and You know, That's not something every soldier gets. So you know, I know it sounds corny, more But you know, having been a soldier that is really it was really, really important to all of us. I think it's happened. The capper was a wreck that night, and it's really interesting to watch it because that guy's such a cool cookie when he's interviewing generals and senators and governors and ripping them new ones, and you know who he is, But you know, on a night like this It was a flop Sweating. So was so was I, but it was It was pretty amazing night. I mean, you have to. You really are trying to honor the memory of people and you're trying to honor those who fought so valiantly and the movie, I think does that with, you know, without knowing the history as deeply as you do, Obviously, I just I was riveted by it, and I think it's powerful, both emotionally and in every other way. The movie is called the Outpost. Rod Lurie is the director. It's got Orlando Bloom's got Eastwood mentioned Caleb Lander Jones as well, but it really transcends any kind of one performance. I think it's really one of those films that I was blown away by. So congratulations. Really nice job, Rod. Thank you, Marc. I I really really appreciate appreciate it. it. So you'll see a big audience and everybody hugging and shaking hands and stuff. So it's a little weird to watch but it was a couple months ago all right. Well so what is it about well? So they're looking for it's about Clutter compatibility so they were looking for couples that are on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to organization and you know my wife Amy. She's a personal organizer. And I'm a personal disorganizer. So I I I see my problem. Is I save everything? I WanNa keep everything so my attic in my basement is full of bins and boxes of everything that I've accumulated over the years from radio and just from life so I mean I have every promo item ever given to me ever. You know every t shirt every everything and I just can't part with it so I guess that they have us on the Kinda you know. Teach me how to part. With soul things do they. Do they take their cameras into your house and everything? Yes yeah. There were cameras in the house and it was actually a cool little piece. We saw the video that they did in our house and it came out really cool but yes. So it's going to be on today if you're in New York. It's on channel seven at two o'clock. Okay let's all watch Scottie. Me Yes disorganizer. That's made your order sort of a pre quarter. I I am. I am a hoarder but I keep it neat. It's not like Florida ceiling. You can still walk around in the attic in the basement. It's just you know lots boxes and they're labeled but there's boxes of stuff that I don't WanNa get rid of. That's what they all say on the show before you find the dead cats underneath all the rubble sound where everything is. There's got to be a few cat so is there? Do you feel like you could have a link of some sort of psychological something. That's making you do this. You know what I think. It's only normal for you. I have to tell you what I think it is for me. I think it's an astrologer thing. I can't seem to part with things from my past. I like to go and look at things go. There was such a great time in my life and I just put it back in the box so i. I'm not sure what it is but I can't get rid of things from my past. Then yeah what do you think? Do you think if. Amy Wasn't in your life we would see you on. Hoarding Buried Alive just keeps me in. Check absolutely still. She throws a lot of my stuff out when I'm not looking. I know this I know she text me pictures she goes on today. We had a problem. I have these four huge beanbag chairs the keeping the when the TV's on we can all sit and beanbag chairs and watch TV from the Florida. There's one missing today comes come to find out. Alex hates them. He threw one in the dumpster. Yesterday that's what that's what spouses do. I was gardening over the weekend and said Hey wear those sneakers that I use for to mow the lawn and she looked at me long and I knew she threw them away. She got rid of him. He goes on my closet. She clears out my sneaker. She hates my sketchers. Nate Nile talk talking about NATO always talk about how we do think that you are teetering on hoarding. That's where he's going right now. It's collecting no no no. It's sporting so. Do you remember when we had that. Big Company meeting and they. They announced the people that were working here for twenty five years and Scotty goes well. No I was hired in nineteen ninety-five. I left out. That night went home. Dug through several boxes to find pay stubs from Nineteen ninety-five proving. Who Does that? That's right but look at see. It paid off paid on twenty eight a pay stub I have every paste up every time sheet and every expense reports since one thousand nine hundred five. Why don't know might want to look at it one day. That's why there's dead cats in there somewhere. I all right well okay. So Watch Scottie the preorder on Rachel Ray. Today my wife as a personal organizer it makes her crazy so it just makes her that. I keep all this stuff and she's constantly. You know getting into throw away so I I'm starting to slowly clear stuff out. He hears in his closet with the member of the square toed. Sketchers from leg years ago. Nobody would ever wear again have not he will I want? She says me pictures she's like I don't understand him. I just don't get back to work for me disposable so I can go power-wash that you know the yard and do.

You know you go to see your class and we go in there and they. They have a certain number of table setup and everybody's spaced out. They have tape on the ground, indicating where you can stand where the tables can be and It was nice to get out though I do have to say that and just experience what we took for granted two and a half months ago to be able to into a restaurant and say hey, you know i. want this that this thing I refill. It was so weird and I think everybody was just so appreciative of everybody that was working there. It was really nice to see and I can't wait to get back to that. On a on a bigger scale. Right so! I wonder if any restaurants are going to hang shower curtains between the tables stuff like that. You know what I'm saying. Well shower plexiglass industry is going to go through the roof. Horace Grant defends Scottie Pippen, questions specific aspects of 'The Last Dance'

"Thing about horse Horace was not just based on his own behalf he was pissed for Scotty Pippen is well because aside from Jordan giving some praise to paper early in the series most of the talk about Pippin was about all these low moments I remember being hold on call the number two guy decorated it's gotten papers put three so badly in terms of the moderate in terms of the one point six or seven seconds Selfridge I I have never seen this and all of my life in the respect of people out there I think games six could barely walk do not down on his back try to do whatever he could to help the team but my my my point is while I was at one point sixty seven seconds in the documentary so called documentary about it will be with only eighteen while they're in there we handle that very year really well as a team he he was wrong for doing that well you're still we went after the game we'll do it up there we have to say bill car right and then we handle it was over it was over we go on the techniques to seven games told me it was over why bring that up that's my question everybody out there is listening it's always grant and it's a fair question if this series is about the final season the so called last dance why was something from four years earlier included something that Jordan was not even therefore he was out playing baseball that didn't concern him he was on that team as Horace said the team handle it in the paper knew it was wrong even though people did say if the documentary that he would not change anything anyway if this was about Michael Jordan's version of the final season why was something that did not involve Michael Jordan why was that given so much time in the dock why was it so important to Jordan to bring up the lowest point of Pippen's career and if you want to say yeah well because that was important believe me he left out a lot of important things so why was it important to him to put that in there

time and i'm really proud of because this next person is somebody that is audited family has been part of the family and he calls me so much just for business tips and he's one of the few people who listen and it really gets his grind on scott scott that's how we get here uh-huh oh you walk into here real flos we're w- wait wait wait wait wait walkout walkout come back here it's gotta hold on okay but but don't but don't edit this those stephanie at all yeah scottie h. e. a. l. brooke sit out good eh eyebrows rush out the house i left both sets of my grizz decree immune a mere lee bow who's gonna be grid outweigh do we still have time makes a scott i'm gonna pay scott yes we do yes you do okay well yeah i want you to make scott's for him i'm gonna pay for it gotch get close to close to the mic walk let me hold them i like okay first of all put your hair falls oh giving gifts back and introduce who you are in the name of your business okay scotty a. -til the name of my business aw aw got we know what to do about ah out some ribs in greece by scotty uh-huh is going down goatee right i do t- widening tool gyms i mean the community do some blame like oh he wouldn't he say that she said it should have given you what i do teeth whitening right there okay okay i am so proud of you first of all okay so you want to show us i guess i wanna give them to you open them up okay which one for me this is yours this is lee golly oh shit diane okay everybody got something different by the way for this t shirt for about four months yeah got it so i'm sorta jealous i like thanks a saying this candle out is my story say it's on kalorama nineteen hundred candler role on the represent stole representing the hood where does it so i wanted to i got you i got us guys around gosh so so tell us about the business tell us how started doing grills and i was i was telling him earlier bro mamie you sit on on the phone like two three hours man trying to figure out shit out man just tell them about the business how you started well man i disguise i'm in the marketing and so a friend of mine came in the studio one day he was like these do wanna meet a market grills what i declined wanna do it because at the time i would just reimburse on market knowledge weenies book contagion and we ended up going going up the anyway to these guys store one day and so the guy was talking to me would ally mount sinai interesting you know but it was cool it will cool saw iran so homeware later on tonight clue he had just lost his job due grew lifeguarding so you wanna do grew he he was assistant though you know and so on took him back up during their first i was going to do business far handed lighter you know the end stuff whatever like pave were doing the marketing getting artists do grills say myself i was an artist of but i ended up having to do everything he was buying everyday on building a goal down making the greer's ourselves i noticed how studies and then we ended up getting like different teams together like you'll be able to house who different teams together to do certain types of grills and so you you say you're literally melting gold down in the crib where it was it was it was ashley kriel slayers business like slashes we love slash yeah yeah okay what you actually melt and gold down and making grills linked to yeah that's how it is us impressing adding extra not right now don't even don't even pay any tip back over here don't but that's what yeah and so from we got scammed a couple of times you know what i'm saying we got burnt kobe oh and then we ended up getting the office is crazy bread like you think about like history brown lake y'all not to put it on front street sometimes i talk to you and that's why they think it about mealy meet me talking somebody down the same conversation as me and you have leeann conversations you have with me scott scott grab my hand one night daugaard like i was coming out i was here come here you will not go on it i tell them here stat was like we're not doing that at doing that tonight for me man like i'm so proud of you bro because you wanted a few people brought it listen that's one that's the thing that we have to give which other is the information to help us be able to move further brian you wanted a few people that brought everything that i ever told you like you leave and i'd be like brown one if he see you be gone and then you come back and show me big bro is dead and i'm real real proud of you i i i wanna tell somebody about the time that you came on occur you brought me my first set of grills and he was like brian magee your discount what did i tell us is lower discount one pay full price yeah and i gave a tip yeah on top of that you remember why said say we gotta keep do the money circulating in the family because one day i might have it or you know vice versa and i might not have right right right so we gotta pay when we have you know what i'm saying i just think that that's important tell us tell us as a a young businessman something that you wish you would learn a little bit earlier and this is what other kids who come in after you okay i think that i wish i would've taken saving money a lot more seriously you know i remember being in school and people come in and be like if you say this amount of money eh every day or every week you'll have a million dollars ban twenty years you know you live man twenty years you remember what my father told us that still to the holiday excuse me for interrupting regina that concept that i have always tell you always take myself i i got that from scott's dead and like i looked at one time and i mean i'm not capping but like have more money than i ever thought of his his dad had accumulated enough money that people would have called like like the starter kit for well and he never i had no super big job he was he wanted it was oscar never made more than of about forty five hundred dollars a year but he took five thousand hundred now my father's ninety one now so okay okay okay he when he was in the army he sent every time he made to his mother and when he got out of the armie let me tell size when he came back from korea he couldn't even get a VA loan as a veteran but his mother has saved all of his paychecks and when he can aim here four rental properties and he took it from there to almost thirty on a schoolteacher salary but he always taught me no matter what you do you pay yourself first so darnall became cool i happen to mention that casually dated next thing i know he had put it in motion as an actual business practice was paper up a little bit i i like to be honest with you the money that i use for the podcast came for the money that i saved because like will happen is like let's say i give you example let's say if i may ten thousand right i'll take five hundred thousand every time or like if i get out of this ten dollars if i get you percentage wise or you just decide you can do it anywhere you it could be a percentage it could be i try to teach my family members take twenty percent that's a safe that's an easy number that you won't really miss in your day to day but that twenty percent will add up if you just leave it the fuck alone i do is i pay what i used to paint management says i'll had no manager no more like so what you make yourself a job right it'd be salary twenty percent on what do you do with the you hold it until it's time you know you put it away somewhere away from you know okay so this is what i do this is this was an old old guy taught me i take that that money and i don't even really i don't even put it in the bank i take it like anywhere from our ways and put it in a safe deposit box far away so that if i feel like i needed and i started driving towards the money i'll talk myself out of it by the time you get about thirty minutes be like dog i don't need to do this i just put mine right now we probably talk about two different
