What Has Changed Since George Floyd
"Protests against racial injustice are motivating some political candidates to take on challenging races. In the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona Democrats are targeting a predominantly white district that has been held by Republicans for nearly a decade. Steve Goldstein from member station Cage's reports. That ethics violations committed by the incumbent could make the race more competitive. Arizona six Congressional district is centered in Scottsdale. Its residents are highly educated, affluent and early 75% white Congressman David Schweikert was reelected by double digits here in 2018. But Schweickart had been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee, and on Thursday he admitted to 11 violations and agreed to pay $50,000 fine Schweickart perspective. Opponents immediately pounced on the news. Here's Democrat Anita Malik. There's a part of me that's glad that we finally have closure to this investigation, but it is so infuriating to see him simply get off with a slap on the wrist. Even before acknowledging the ethics violations, Schweiker was already expected to face an intense general election campaign, in part because of an electorate that wants more action on combating racial injustice. One of the Democrats. Looking to challenge him is African American businessman Carl Gentles. While he believes many here are worried about education and jobs, he says, the killing of George Floyd has led to more direct conversations about racial injustice in the district has seen before. While George, Florida's African American I am an African American, and certainly I can see myself my son, my father, my brother in the face of George Floyd beneath that. Officers NI. I think people can see their own family members, no matter what race they are in the face of tourist Floyd Tianna Chander is one of those people Gentles is describing. She moved into the district eight years ago. Rallies and protests illustrated for her the dramatic need to find solutions. Chandler is middle aged and white. It's not okay to just be silent anymore, and we've got to figure out what the heck got us to this point and how we can try and sort of turned the tide and get rid of some of that racism. Hate Willingness to look the other way when things that we know what an OK continue to happen. Schweickart has been silent on race related topics. But the changing political environment since the killing of George Floyd may force him to talk about them. Erica County, which accounts for 60% of arrows on his population, has seen a clear shift toward more progressive voting in 2018 that included pushing Kirsten cinema to US Senate victory, becoming the first Democrat to win in arrows in a Senate race in nearly 25 years. But it's not just that Phoenix is growing rapidly, more diverse as Quentin James He's the founder and president of collective Pack, which is focused on electing African Americans across the country. There are a ton of suburban white women who are seeing these videos and wondering If those votes for Donald Trump in 2016. If don't do that, again, Republican consultant stand Barnes understands why Democrats are generally optimistic about 2020 here but says it's misplaced in the Phoenix suburbs. I do not think the racially charged politics that we're living in that the moment plays favorably for the Democratic nominee. In that congressional district, in part that it's so overdone, and I think voters are numb to that kind of play. But Quentin James believes that voters now more than any other time in recent history, are looking to choose the best candidate. Whatever color they are part of what folks One also know is Do you hear me? And are you going to fight for me? And it doesn't take white voters to get white candidates just to do that, or Blackwater's only looking for black answer. I think that's the core question, James says. As candidates of color are becoming more common, voters are increasingly more comfortable with choosing them to bring about changes many in the public are calling for for NPR news. I'm Steve Goldstein in Phoenix.
What Current Heart Health Treatments Get Wrong and How to Fix This
"Doc. Thanks for coming on the show today. Thank you so much doctor, appreciate having you on big Sandia working at an excited to share a lot of the stuff. I'm doing with your audience. Likewise have been following your stuff for while I. Think the first time I saw year. Your stuff was actually. Tat Halio flexible years ago. Paleo? Facts was definitely an interesting event a lot. Good people over there and you know for for anyone who's never been an again. It's kind of like finding your tribe and you know getting some good food and working out a little bit and getting some excellent lectures from some very very entertaining speakers and really kind of supporting all the stuff that we do award. You know we're talking about Paleo or or carnivore. I think the one thing that separates me maybe from a some of the people that I met there is that you know we're just hardcore about organic free range grass fed wild seafood, so it's like know we want you to eat this way, but we also want you to eat the best of the best. This is not lite. Jack Wolfson sang a Burger King. Get a double opera. Hold the Bun. You know we WANNA make. Sure? We do at the right. Early, I mean. Have you had any pushback on that type of stuff? There's sometimes where I promote that very similarly and I just get this whole. You being elitist freak, and like people can't afford that and not sustainable for all Americans I mean. What is your sort of slanted that? Yeah. My slant is I mean it is the only thing that sustainable I mean the the way that corporate farming happens and and large ranches. Operates that is not sustainable, because that is just destroying the environment. You have to do it through regenerative. Farming and grazing practices, so I think books by Joel Salatin and and things that they really identified the best way to do. It is really the only way, and that is the healthiest forest to I mean when we test people's levels of pesticides and chemical exposure there sky-high. If they don't if they don't eat things, the right way so does it costs more for organic food. Is it cost more for free range grass-fed? Yeah, and it should, and you know Anthony I would challenge all those people and say hey. I I can probably find some other areas of your life where we can cut from the budget. Don't Cook from the health food budgets better for us. To eat that way. Live that way and it's and it's again. It's the only way the planet's GonNa Survive is by is by doing things the way we've always done it as hunter gatherers in. Bringing that into twenty first century world, totally one of the things that I think about often is that how hard it is to even have access stuff right now and just how all nutritious food used to be free in abundant passed, and now I'm even going to small towns. availability for real food is actually pretty challenging will a lot of work to do regarding supply chain and distribution, and getting to that point, where Jenny little bit before we started recording about how you see your time between. Scottsdale in a small town in Colorado and just wondering in Colorado sort of a small area. Do you have easy access to food them even in Austin where I'm as? There's not that many sources to to buy truly good quality food. Yeah I think you know the other thing, too. Is that the more that we support this? The more that we put our money direct our resources into these types farms. Well more people are going to do it it just. It's just a great business model kind of one of the things I've talked about most recently. Is that you have all these people? Millions of people literally millions that worked for the the and Human Services Department on a federal level, and in the State Department of Health, and the County Department of Health and school board. You know a health if we were to get rid of a lot of those people. Because their jobs are totally unnecessary. Get rid of those people in redirect them into organic farming into into pasteurize. Practices it sounds like a pipe dream, but you know. Let's put all the really. The resources over their prices will come down. It's better for our health. It's better for the planets, but you know I think you know. Listen answer your question up in this small town where in Colorado there, there is a place up there that again. There's a lot of places that do you know free range grass-fed that do? Who they do grow during the in during the cold season's that they're able to grow indoor You know in greenhouses, and and we support those people and again I'm not interested in new cars, new new housing or new clothing for myself. I'm not interested in travel. I mean I love doing all that stuff. Believe me I do, but the first thing is. You gotTa Take Care of yourself with the food and especially. If you've got young ones at home, anyone your concern with with health and wellness. You gotta put. Put Your money over there, you know Scottsdale is okay for food, and then California's pretty pretty ahead of the trend when it comes to healthy food California of course has their own problems, but Colorado and I think over the years once again. Farmers markets we love going farmers markets Arizona's got some great farmers markets for nine months out of the year the growing season. Here I mean obviously they've got a ton of sunshine. You know the the issue down here is water and summertime too much heat flight. They're growing. Season is nine months. It's it's really spectacular.

Multiple Arizona gyms defy executive order to close
"Corona virus in Arizona, Today's executive order will pause the operation of bars, gyms, movie theaters, water parks and tubing with a targeted reopening date. In 30 days like the governor used the word pause, which sounds better than I'm shutting these suckers down right? But that order on Monday set off what could be a flurry of lawsuits. We've already seen. One lawsuit filed against The state of Arizona in the governor. Of course, that's from mountainside, fitness and this injury. So here's how it played out for one mountainside fitness location yesterday, Scottsdale police tell our TV partners at ABC 15 that a little before 10 a.m. After receiving multiple reports of the location near 114th Street and Shay Was open officers showed up and provided education. They were told at that time by management that the location would remain open. They did. And when officers came back in the afternoon, they issued a citation to mountainsides. Chief operating officer A citation for a class one misdemeanor, which could mean a fine of up to 2500 bucks and possible jail time. You know, I'm guessing $2500 might really be a drop in the bucket to what they might face losses for being closed. Right. So maybe they're rolling the dice on that one hears mountainside Mountainside CEO Tom Hatton after several of his locations received the same. We don't feel this decision was fair. We think it was extremely arbitrary. It was placating to trying to look like we're doing something for Kobe and not really doing something prick owed. If the problem Um, is this serious? But they weren't alone. By the way, it's staying open. I'm seeing live shots on my monitors this morning in the studio Life time fitness facility in the valley. Apparently, there are several franchises that are staying open. Yeah. People working out you get. Ah Ah, are partners over at ABC, 15 had actually a live shot into the mountainside fitness location. That's near 56. And Shay and you could actually see people in their working out. They have resumed in individual people on, you know, ah, the treadmills and lifting weights and stuff. Yeah. Orange Theory said they're going to stay open. Pure bar A. Which is, you know, one of those bar workout ballerina? Yeah, yeah, not like a bar like they're serving drinks valet. Yet they say their their studios or boutiques, not a typical gym, So they say they don't have to shut down. Ah, sorting through all this is Going to be crazy, but this could lead to a flurry of lawsuits against the governor from some other Types of
Pandemic projections suggest requiring masks could save 33,000 lives in U.S.
"There's a new projection from IHS. Emmy University of Washington which does a lot of the projections. They say that if people wear masks. Ninety five percent of the public, then thirty thousand lives in the United States could be saved just by October first. Does that suggest to you that every governor where there are? Outbreaks should be mandating masks in public. I do now that we have this guidance about how effective moss can be in the right conditions I think we need to be much clearer and telling people exactly what they need to do to protect themselves and their communities and this projection. Jake comes off the back of another projection. The estimate that seventy to ninety nine percent of Americans who died from covid nineteen that the Dow's were unethical. Unethical an unnecessary and could have been prevented if America had acted more aggressively early on and follow the steps of countries such as Germany and Singapore, so we missed the boat already. We've been late to the game. We have been getting poor communications Americans, and misguiding them I think now's the time to step that up and try to mitigate tens of thousands of Americans dying from covid nineteen. Only a little time but I want you to take a look at this video of a city councilman in Scottsdale Arizona Against Masks take a listen. I can't. I can't play. Obviously an incredibly insensitive reference to the death of George, Floyd, what we've also seen a judge in taxes assaulted after he issued a face covering order. What's your reaction? This is so such an awful exploitative co-opting of the icon brief statement, which is literally black Americans fighting for their right to live and not be killed by racist, and just speaks to what we've been talking about for the past few minutes that wearing a moth is a simple public health intervention. It protects other people. It need not be a political

"All right Charlie in, Dave you guys want to say something for those who didn't join us on the last I. Love Marketing Virtual Media every third Wednesday of every month in Scottsdale Arizona Charlie and Dave. Host the I love Marketing Scottsdale Group and they had you know said. Why don't we do in virtue? I said let's tell everyone. Let's notify are listed so charlie. What are your thoughts on all this? It's got to become like this crazy thing now, l.! Aren't usually at our meet ups because we can get people within twenty five miles or something. But how great is this that we have people from around the world? Yeah, we got genius network members. We've got even Parana members that have been clients of mine for twenty years. We have been sent over a hundred in certain questions or Yeah I read every one. Yeah. We got a whole slew of them that have been summarized into categories and I told Dean I said so that people can be mad at you. If the question is not answered I, said Dean I would let you pick the ones. We're GONNA go with. So. Here's the thing when Jeanette Centrists this list. She went through reviewed. All of them put them into categories and said by far the most important topic that people wanted to know about was lead generation. That was number one. The second most popular topic was Prophet activator number one choosing your first target market, so she kinda summarize these questions here and I can understand. Understand why those are the most common ones? Because of course those are the drivers of everything. If you'RE GONNA grow your business, the the is GonNa fuel that growth is this constant way of generating new people for you to help so whatever we're doing never do live breaks. Blueprint event were talking about applying the profit activators. The first thing that we do is you. Work on your before unit until you're Christly ear here on what your during unit does. What is the thing that you can do better than anybody else anybody? It's a thing that your business is most suitable to delivering, and we always talk in terms of a result and the best way to clarify for yourself. What that is is to ask yourself the clarifying question, and you've probably heard me say before, but the clarifying question is what would you do if you only got paid? When your client gets a result now that does and I get people to just if you can embrace that and think that thought. That thought silently to yourself without it being the way that you make your offer, it's that you don't have to fully go out to the world with this yet. What I want you to do is just to think that fought to think the reason that that question is so clarifying because it links your outcome with your ideal prospects outcome and if we're doing. Doing the thing that if you're saying I'm only going to get paid when I get the result for somebody, it makes you feel like you are only going to do something that you know one hundred percent that you're able to deliver for someone right that's does. That's why we say that way for you now the greatest way to segue from that thought. Once, you figure out what it is that you can deliver for people then the next thing that you get to do is you get to select the single target audience that you can deliver that result for and so the biggest misconception that people have were the biggest thing that people make as a mistake. Going into the before you met profit activated. Want `specially is that they put too much emphasis on positioning themselves to be selected versus proactively selecting your target audience. That's what select a single target audience as I'm talking about you as the selector if we're going to deliver a resolve. that. You are only going to get paid when they get the result. You get to select only the people that you now you're going to have the best outcome

"Club since a Scottsdale has dining capacity I will go to the clubs in Scottsdale share on that's a promotion you saw the image of that and you know it seems like a lot of Arizona thank you for your good responsible behavior the end would have those numbers if people weren't being responsible I got one more follow up question for schools though it's just you know with them re opening what does that mean for schools have year round schools like Chandler on September starts at the end of July my my kids are in the general public school district and so what we want to be able to do is to give them time to plan so that they can be open at the end of July so yeah that was kind of I mean you say that we're light years away when it comes to things like you know sports and you know even the rodeo but why make the decision right now when it comes to schools re opening in the fall so what when I say light years away I don't want to he misunderstood it most of the change that we happen week to week so when you're asking of me or doctor crestor general McGuire to speculate on something that's going to happen in July August or September when it's may what I'm saying is is that would be a a gas we have schools that are starting up in July yeah and summer schools that are starting up next week we're saying you were good to go on that what I said about the rodeo is so you can have a rodeo I didn't make any comment around the the fans of the stands but when it comes to schools re opening potentially in the fall and it sounds like you guys are gonna have a similar set guideline you know for the fall I mean how much could that change is we don't know what the numbers look like two weeks from now the long two months from now that's a public health decision in terms of opening the schools and that's a decision that's been made you want to comment on that from the public health perspective so we there's a lot of public health reasons why we would want kids in school and they they provide a lot more services than just education we know based on our experience with the child care programs that are open that there are responsible ways that you can do this and and we need kids back in the classroom so why you guys deciding this now instead of waiting to see those numbers you know I had a had because we need parents and and teachers and superintendents to be prepared we also are going to be thankful to president Michael crow and president Bobby Robbins were talking about kids college kids returning to the classroom as well and I think two thirds of the seven hundred dollars in individuals and higher out of already made that commitment as well.

Golfer Rich Beem on Q School and Beer Guts
"Let's get back to our interview with rich. Beem in this time period q-school. How did that work is that? How is that what? Your Path was to the PGA tour or able to just signed straight up for Q-school. Did you buy the minor leagues? Basically did I literally went straight from the pro shop to the PGA tour? So I'd won the section the Section Assistance Championship in nineteen ninety. Eight and nineteen ninety. Eight is what I really start playing really good and I have no idea what it what. How old are you at that time? Then Ninety eight I would have been twenty eight okay. So you're not a young. You're not a young Modo outta college but but naive for sure and I'll get to more of that later on but I went to q school. I won the assistance championship and it used to be years prior. That would actually get you a bypass of going first stage. And and so I would have been exempted second-stage although in nineteen ninety eight. They took that out. They said Nope you. You still have to go to first day so I had to go through all three stages of Q-school and I ended up in first one was in Scottsdale at a golf course called talking stick Ben Ben Crenshaw bellcore design fantastic track but I had to shoot sixty seven the final day to make it through to make it through first Yup through I age and then the second the second one was in Houston on the final day I was in by about two or three going into the final round and I was to over through six holes and on the seventh hole. I had a shot with a wedge but in the rough and I thought Flyer no-fly I don't think flyer it was a flyer and I absolutely air mail the green by like thirty yards and I got no shot. I have zero shot so I get back over there I find it. I hit it back to the front of the Green. I got sixty feet left. I'm choking and a mad on the same breath I mean I can't control myself. I'm literally trying not to vomit because I know that making the finals is a big deal well before I even thought about it. I pull the trigger. Hit knocked it in and then birdied the next two holes in the night. I shot I. I shot seventy one and got through comfortably at the end of the day but there are some the pressure of the stories you hear about Q-school in about how much pressure puts on you. It's unbelievable because if you don't get through second-stage you've just wasted five thousand bucks you nothing you guys that you got no status anywhere and so that was a big deal. That was a huge deal for me. In fact I funny enough bill hyme who caddied for me for fourteen years and come back and county for me. When when I turned fifty he actually was same venue. He lost in a playoff back then. They had a playoff. He lost in a playoff to get to the finals and then he actually drove out to finals. In case anybody withdrew and finals he was the first alternate in. Nobody dropped out in you. Figure that out of the two hundred seven guys are at finals. Somebody one guy nothing. Nobody dropped out so Turned out to be in both of our favors because he had a great career together and he's one of my closest friends but it was pretty funny. How how that'll happen. And you make it all the weight. How many how many. I looked up your class right here on Wikipedia. You have forty one guys make it through. How many are you estimate? I don't know the answer to this. But how many are you? Estimating had to go through from first stage all the way through the. There's a few of them that had to come to be fair. I don't know what the I mean. You Bo Van Pelt Charles Warren Jeffrey Hart and Rio Bravo and David Seawall in Roy Sabatini David Zero. Pga TOUR STARTS HERE. The only guys on there that had needs zero. Pj torstar so my buddies that came out of that was Bo. Van Pelt. Brian Baird Bird. I got to be close with. Oh I'm drawing a blank. I can't believe I'm drawn blanks on this. I'm so bad with names. It's killing me but I you know there's a bunch of guys that I became you know just because we went through that process together. It really was one of those weeks where you just. Kinda put your head down and you just keep on going. I know Mike. We're want it Mike sposa. That's the guy that was going to expose him. Brian Baird just because we we hung out together when we because right after. You got your car. You went to a class and we went through media class which I think that everybody in the room. Everybody well I I know for me. Factually I didn't hear a single word at. I know that the big Gulp in my hand wasn't really a big old. It was a big but it wasn't. It wasn't as advertised. So what? Yeah what is your. What is your reputation. Did you have a partying reputation on a founded reputation? Well-founded yeah I'M NOT GONNA Deny I. It's it's interesting because I think that a lot of the guys in there it's true. I listened soon as I get done playing golf. I like to have beverage. I absolutely have to have a beverage. I'm not going to deny that one iota. It was kind of in the air though when tiger was kicking everybody's ass and workouts were becoming super popular fitness. All of that sports psychologist. I mean all of it was it was. You know that's how it was but I mean before the final round at the Kemper Open and ninety nine at a big old fat enchilada plate and four cores. Lights that my dinner. That was just how I didn't you know and I think a lot of times. It was frowned upon where in generation. Before that you know. It's kind of like smoking. Everybody everybody used to smoke Nobody smokes right. 'cause it's frowned upon. It's looked down upon right but I listen. It was good. I had some good times. There's no doubt about it you know and I was successful at what I did now. I did it so well you away. At least a lot of people were some people work. You need some sort of release. I imagine after Tournament Golf. So when I when I played in tournaments like Inbetween Rounds Dude. I need a drink after a grinding for four or five hours and I think that there's there's something to that. Yeah I think there's a lot to that. I think that there's I think for different people at it. You know having having a drink it's more psychological because I needed because I've got eighty and I needed a way to stop thinking about golf. I needed a way to sit there. And not fret over what my stroke or what. My swing felt like or anything like that. Because if 'cause I could sit there and just go nuts. I still do go nuts. I mean there's a lot of time laying in bed in the middle of the night and I'm literally thinking about my putting or I'm thinking about my chip. I'm thinking about something that has to do with golf. That's just the way mine works. You know after a while you just get tired of that. Sure you just get burnt out of thinking about it all the time. It just eats gnaws at USA for for me when it came to the PGA tour in tournament. Golf I mean listen I I. They're probably very few rounds very around probably more so today. I I don't have. I don't drink a lot when after I play golf. Just kind of getting to that age and my body just doesn't like it that much anymore but I just I needed to have something to kind of smooth me out because I was so high strung and listen to other people do it different ways some guys want to go do push ups some guys. WanNa go running. I liked the smell of of wooden barstools and inside of a sitting at the bar watching TV. Well I think that there's a lot of people out there that kind of long for those days on the PGA tour both players and fans kind of you know a Lotta people love the some of the beer guts and that kind of culture seems to have gone by the way word and would you say you were one of the guys that kind of kept that going into the two thousands and who were some of those guys would kind of more celebrate that lifestyle though the unfortunately he's not on tour anymore but Anthony. Kim was legendary. Yeah legend give me absolutely everything. You've got to be fair. I mean some of it. I don't quite recall but I mean I remember. I didn't even hang out with them. I didn't hang out with them a lot off the golf course. I think in. That probably was good for both of us because I think we would have enabled one another quite a bit but I mean I remember Vegas a couple of times and you just you. You hear the stories about you know. There was a five day event and he was out and he was legend. I mean he would. He would go hard and he was not afraid to spend money. I mean the kid was unbelievable. Talented player I mean. There's no doubt about it. And but he was he could go. There are some guys that could could fly. I mean I for me. It was more I actually would. I would have probably sit there with my caddie and hang out with my caddie more than even I'd probably go sit in the caddy room. Instead of hang out up in the in the players locker room I spent more time just going out today with my caddie than I did any other players but you know you could hear stories about some guys who like to go and some guys when I first got on tour. There's a few guys Ted purdy would. It was always fun. Hang you know especially when we had missed the cut. I mean Ted was always good to hang with. It's not like John. Daly ask you know where you would go and where you would just go into your ran into a wall. And then you'd back up and run through the wall and go. I mean it was in by our standards. It was fairly tame but just sitting around. Just having a giggle and and enjoying life and whatnot. Not Letting not letting anything get you down you know after misguide or or celebrating after after a nice week cabinet evidence solid week or something like that but you know there are some guys that that are very quiet about how they do it but I promise you there's guys out there that are right in the middle of it and they like to have fun. Well who's your caddy that you that it was at Steve. Duplantis Steve duplantis was my caddy for the Kemper. Open win he was my he was Caddy for me for probably about five months five months and I finally said I can't hang with anymore. Yes we're just a bad influence on each out part of it but I I think though in one of my rare mature moments. I figured that you know what probably needs somebody. That's a little more grounded and I went through probably three or four guys so I found the right one and then once I found the right

closing of of businesses businesses and and schools schools Gottlieb Gottlieb did did offer offer reassurance reassurance saying saying quote quote we'll we'll get get through through this this another another former former democratic democratic presidential presidential candidate candidate is is endorsing endorsing Joe Joe Biden Biden in a video on Twitter California senator Kamilla Harris threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former "scottsdale" Discussed on KNBR The Sports Leader
"Scottsdale stadium that was a cell number you should upon hitting his first home run of the spring that was on Saturday they did lose to the Dodgers tend to for that one and then yesterday I was looking at the yes it Murph and mac and I will get off the plane we were looking right at first pitch was getting going and the the starting lineup came out for the game and you know the giants are are getting looks at different guys yesterday floors in there first and Dickerson and laughed and McCarthy in right dire then came into play right into the Asian had a split squad but they're almost all their starters out there they had seven out there shortly at Chapman started at third battles and was at first a lorry on a let off in the other game against Arizona but yeah these are a bunch of the guys out there in the giants of the come back win yesterday a rob Brantly RB I wait and they they get the W. over the eighties don't go too deep on on that kind of stuff we're still very early obviously in spring training as far as like what like roster competition I don't know what to make yet of of this back up catcher spot to get behind a man is gonna be Brantley will there be another guy brought in these are the he debates will be having as we move into March here but the the question I have really is about this Madison Bumgarner thing I'm everybody else all this yesterday bad really put out a piece on this who's got some legs last night and yesterday afternoon Madison Bumgarner evidently has been competing in like on the rodeo circuit for a number of years it sounds like now and he's Dave can you probably heard a lecture from the name her nose using a pseudonym Mason looking for the name here at for guidance if you get here on the text line I'm trying to find the the article the dagger we put any weights on circle piece about how bonkers basically been on this this rodeo circuit for a couple years now doing it part time so much of the one what twenty Mason Sanders was there and there we go Dave thank you so much he won like a Saunders or he won the twenty six grand like I'd lasso and I don't know what it was but they were saying it was up on a horse to at one point and this goes back a few years I remember he was interviewed we'll see back in maybe twenty thirteen twenty twelve somewhere around then saying that you love doing this staff has he been doing it since I was fifteen or sixteen years old it was part of who he was growing up in North Carolina but he said giants fans will be happy to know I don't use my right arm to do what I use my credit you I left RB do I use my right arm but this all came out like yesterday we're getting more and more detail about this that is used in a you know I eight one once you start using the fake name but I know it's a different a different situation I immediately go to the rod Mexico thing contributes a fake name to get by on somebody not as bad as maybe like a Jose Canseco having his brother Ozzy pretend to be Jose Canseco for charity events such as pretty bad too but bumper was using this a we use is Saunders he was winning money and for some reason rose me the wrong way like at I know that it was fun while he was here but because of the dirt bike accident because this comes into play too I mean like you had a clause in the Manteo let's deal we couldn't write a mo pet number because he tore up his ankle after signing the contract this goes down as like these are clauses I feel it should be in contract or whatever he was playing on that said that arbitration deal on the on the basically the minimum to extend that deal for such a long time that he he was out of contract I guess when this photo surfaced this past offseason right yeah there's a photo that's out right now and you cannot because Bumgarner in this other guy from North Carolina I guess is another pro who does this one this competition and they took a photo of them the funny thing is Bumgarner for all the the hardnosed gritty snot rocket competitive guy that he is he's the one great electric kit in the photo and the other guy's got a standing there stone faced but I think about this and I go it rubs me the wrong way like of course there's the element that you could have gotten her wallet was a giant doing it but how do you continue to do stuff like that and it may be may be hurt your career or hurt yourself for a couple more dollars when you're in your first big free agency offseason after you've already had a major incident like the dirt bike incident right on the line drive off hand was a free thing off with Merrifield to end the cactus league but the thing with the with the dirt bike that's frustrating because that definitely was a major step back for the giants in a season where they were trying to continue the momentum that they had from the previous year so easily dirt bike part of who you're like is this is is just easier thrill seeker I think these guys just get to a point where they've got things they love to do and they want to do what and so he's not gonna take no for an answer the other part of this is and I was trying to think deeper about it like what is bugging me he's a giant anymore they shouldn't be a problem it didn't happen while he was here he didn't get hurt while doing it while he was in San Francisco and I know the stories are all the kinds of things that made us love Bumgarner like just I don't give a damn he's out there lasso and goats and pigs and and whatever the hell it is summed up on a ranch or farm and we love that stuff it's what made him like and and he was unapologetic about right he was always who he is which is I think why he was such a fan favorite you knew what you were getting it was no frills but now I look at it on the other side of it where he's in Arizona Diamondbacks and maybe it's a bit of jealousy maybe I will get that lego men you know those were our stories I saw them post the other day a photo of him just audible pen but it was a free shot of that that classic Bumgarner pulling the ball out of his glove pulling it all the way back you know he does that the long stride before he he sort of whips it forward it was a freeze frame of that may said that beautiful wing span and I was a kid out here ma'am those are wing span and you got some other girl talking about you it was just a maybe I'm irritated because he's a diving back and we're gonna have to see and it was just a it's a bizarre thing to me it's a little funny that that all of a sudden now we're finding this stuff out he signs the contract and there was all the news that he wanted to be in Arizona because you want to be closer to his horses and things like that and now we find out he's been not part time competing in the in like the rodeo it's just it's insane to me the the first of all the athleticism but the other part of it to use the the shooter with a fake name is just a circle to try to do it under cover at four one five of the cast projects like checks in Durham padre says yeah the the stock markets are plunging front of viruses spreading there's all these stories of bomb garner lasso in from the top of a horse yeah pretty incredible at about it last week when they made that announcement that they were not going to have a flagship this year they're just going with the stream it's it's strange I mean I know that's the way sports is moving but as far as his classic baseball on the radio to sit in the stands and be able to listen to it I know that's maybe an old time thing but not everybody's got a computer you know I mean not everybody's got a cell phone that they can strengthen in their car I know that we think about it as the norm for us but that's not necessarily something that everyone has access to so what are you "Or so a nine fourteen six in race trim with some with a little little bit of period race history Could be a hundred two hundred grand. Yeah just a little bit of period. Did history one that won its class that they tone now we now take the one hundred fifty grand and we bump it up to a million one two one one three one one it's class at seep when it's classic see bring so it's all that and I used to tell Matt Matt finally got schooled up by Somebody who is a expert over at one of the auctions. which is you can run? As much as you want it Road Atlanta are or Laguna Seca. Or whatever it's the winds at sea bring the wins at Daytona and especially Llama that. Take a car and get it. I mean this. This car doesn't even have Lama. This car is a hundred and fifty thousand dollar car. That's a million plus dollar our car because one it's class yeah at at sea bring and when it's class at Daytona and for us who have cars who have some Daytona Lehtonen some see bring in some stuff history We root for these cars. These are especially they're SORTA peashooter. Yeah that that's and that's the best formula ever by the way now is is you may have a car completely different brand different year different drivers but but if they were both seabrook winners or Daytona winners. You're rooting for those cars. Because that's the that's the connection the story now so it's it's interesting and the nine fourteen eighteen six. This particular one is is Kinda cool you know it also brings up. That argument of is a lot of times. You see we walk into a doctrinal like how this this car. It's it's millions of dollars. It's not a lot of car. It's tiny right you know. And there's I like it too because it's nineteen in seventy. It's not it's not a pure shift from the fifty. We we kind of struggle with this even with with your with your Datsun roadster. We know it's not a lot of car Dr but it's cool issue and it won a lot of cool stuff by when you park it next to you. Know a C- bring winner. You know the the the ninety four the car the the big The big Z car. Are you like this is so much car. We've had the guys come in here like Oh this is a nightmare. Bill cost five hundred thousand dollars just to build this in the day I bought when I bought that it car I was just like it was like a hundred grand and I was just like this is five hundred grand worth a car for one hundred grand at that time. Didn't have any vintage value or anything. Anything was a ninety S. Yeah are but that's like. Look this God damn car. Yup and we would have a discussion. We would sit there and probably look at both of those those cars the roadster and big car and go. Oh which one's worth more right now right all right so lots of stuff and you guys. I can go see me paps theater in Milwaukee Coming Up January twenty four th and then the next day twenty fifth. Why should I spend my weekend driving leaving from Milwaukee to Chicago? I gotTa tell you the other way. I'm wired. I have fun. We get a rental car. I see a beer. Mike Driving Think I talk and talk and talk and then at some point we eat like We'd like Polish food. Yeah and Mike Yells at somebody. Mike yells at someone Chicago. Go Park West. The next day January twenty fifth go Dan Parole Dot Com and check out all our stuff and go. Check out chassis as well. "Like going to the all Italian Italian. Oh concourse or whatever there pebble beach on a Saturday and I'd look at the uh-huh Ferrari Lucielle you know. Sixty four sixty three sixty four and I'm looking at Lucido and be like that's at the time I don't now seven hundred thousand bucks. Eight hundred thousand and then I'd go look at the two plus two and it'd be like that's eighty and I know I've got the same V twelve. Yeah it's a four Speed v twelve. It's two plus two but it's kind of a nice sixties kind of shape to it holds two more people more. It's kind of a cool. It's it's kind of a cool piece and I and they were sixty to eighty like all day long like no. Nobody wanted that car. Those cars have passed the two plus twos like the sixty six sixty seven and are knocking on the door of half a million bucks now like a really nice one like mid mid did force now and I it. It kind of goes to show that if you look at a car and you'd like the static and you start asking questions like that's going to be twelve Alvin. And that's a good looking piece. and that's early sixties Ferrari. It's Manual Bob. Blocks got the big steering wheel and the Cool Dash and everything like. Why is that seventy grant? If you're asking US questions it'll correct. Usually the difference between them was so huge whereas I think the two plus two to three thirty gt two plus two has has gone up whereas the GTC no has gone up barely. But it's Sim- it's been floating around that. I don't know six to seven for a long time. I think I saw one. On one of the dockets. Seven hundred was the estimate well the GTC one up to a million. And I always said what I say about about that car. I'm saying I'm saying about the Toyota. Two thousand not a million dollar car that it dropped down to five and it's now between between five and six not seven anymore if I look at a car and go that's not a million dollars parts and you're right. The one that I saw was somewhere in the I saw seven. Maybe he was like six to seven. That's that's the estimate they're gonNA Hammer at five forty five. Yeah all right interesting. Let me hit the Tommy John. One more short-time love myself some time each John Wearing them right now so I said I told you what my ritualistic in the pool. I'm off they dry so fast fast and they dry while they're on you to like if you those are swimtrunks. Yeah but you know I row in these things. Yeah and I wrote for half hour and I work up a sweat and sometimes I find myself going upstairs and I'm like All sweaty by I'm going to change and then Olga a yells it's dinner time and go okay and I walk into the kitchen and the next thing you know putting around. I'm eating and stuff like that and then I notice I'm dry. Yeah I've tried off okay. Which would not happen in your traditional underwear? That thing would be like wearing a car shammy down there. So let's get ourselves some Tommy. John Stuffs stuff's in Twelve hundred retail locations across the country..

"To use the Promo Code podcast one and get their fifty percent sign up bonus All right so auctions. So the coming up. I'm going to be heading out there. I'm going to do a little traveling back and forth going to go to the bear Jackson gallivant opening night. And then I'm going to hit up the typical auctions at least Barrett Jackson gooding are and there's always more going on out there so I did a quick pass on on the auction. Dockets a for some of these. There's thousands of cars so it's difficult to go through all of them. But I picked a few that I just grabbed them and gave a gave Chris a few links to and we got him on the list. That seemed interesting Of course after the Ninety Three Mustang Cobra are sold for one hundred twenty something thousand. Now they're they're popping up and they're all getting six-figure estimates that we've you've got to Cobra our models coming up. Well let the let this be a good this. She'll be a good time for us to tell. Oh you guys that everyone is kind of going. Well what are some of those cars in the thirty forty range twenty five. Let's say twenty five to fifty rain. Yeah and they would say at toss five eight years ago like what are some of these cars and we would say things like Accura or E- thirty BMW name. One you know or I always liked the M coupe. Hoop the Groovy Guli car always called it cars of that nature that that you could have got for thirty grand or fifty grand or whatever depending painting on car that are now starting to get up past the seventy five to one hundred range but but that's double all right so if you've got a percentage stelvio well if you bought a portion nine twelve eight years ago you would have paid twenty seven having five Ford or something and now you're talking about one hundred grand. Yeah so they're they're they're always cars in the intermediate zone. Don't have to be Ferraris. Or they don't have to be from the fifties or the sixties it can be from the eighties and the nineties cars like suppress their cars. What's that are coming up? And somebody didn't expect accurate Integra type R like nobody. Nobody expected that we saw that coming. So look look for production numbers like there's a car like one of the cars that I've always loved. And they made a super small number of them and and you can find him on bring a trailer all day long for twenty seven to thirty I believe is the mini cooper super. GP Yeah I like that car. It's has no backseat. They made like three hundred thirty. Three of them are something. It's fast it's fine. It's whatever distinctive it's cool that made a small batch and they're still thirty grand now the category of Car that you're talking about though miles makes the difference in the world. These aren't aren't drivers for you because you need. They need to be low mile cars you know. One hundred and eighty thousand mile is not COULDA poll thirty nine thousand Mile and Essex no but some of the cars just popped in my head like what about like a first Jan Jan low mileage Audi r eight could be starting to get a little older. Probably Max Patty. You gotta look but you could probably find our eight like a two thousand six or five or something. We know what what what year two thousand and four or five. We're getting old because an Audi r eight is is now a fifteen year old car right. That's crazy because to me. That's a brand new car. Yeah when was the first year of the Audi r eight but I bet you now. That car is not gonNA pop for a little bit right. But if you've got one some dentists in Palm Springs owned it and put Four thousand miles on it. You got that thing for forty four thousand dollars or something just kind of sat on it. I think it would pop get a stick obviously six. Oh six is the first and I just had the the eight cylinder at the time Pike. You're right I just had like whenever the first Gen our eight with the ten and the manual when needed shifter. That's a cool car. Har I agree and that kind of I bet. They didn't make a lot of those. That would be pretty pretty interesting. I mean you want to feel old the God Damn Ara hate is. It's almost fifteen years old. That's crazy right. That feels like a new sports car to me. It does. It still looks good Mocatta. How old were you fifteen years ago? We travel in the country and the gay boss. No that was one year later when it was an old enough there that was one or two years later. You in high school. I was twenty okay all right fifteen years ago in Nineteen fifteen years ago right okay and it cars not quite fifteen years old. But they're definitely probably shot at car show in nineteen Two thousand and five crazy. Yeah don't you drive an Ra and you're castrol commercial. Oh Yeah I knew. I like that car well L.. Having an old buddy drove a new one that car is you know. It's it's like it's got. It's got some nice designed to Hewitt but all the practicality of German car yeah you know and it's just a so it's a cool car it's a cool piece. I've driven a few over the years and they've always kind of liked them. I agree great. That should be a car that might be on your radar and look at it this way price AMAC surpassed clar. You can have some fun with it even if it doesn't really go up in value much and although although I think it probably would you can also look like a hero on your block because I think you could get six seven. I think you'd get a first Gen of one of are those cars for. I mean you wouldn't want to pay thirty two and get one hundred thousand miles on it but I think for forty two forty two forty five. You could get that car will of the little date. We'll look on the list of cars. My question is is this the year is this the comeback year for the vintage Lamborghini. We you know they went real high and then they kind of dropped and then they just didn't show up at auctions and for like a year and now I'm starting to see you can see on my list. We've got a few. I know you've already seen a few of these already but it's it's interesting we've got a couple of Muris up there we've got a four hundred T T. The one that surprised me was was the Barrett. Jackson has a Lamborghini is Larry S and what threw me off on. This is in the advertising for the car. It it says bear Jackson's got those Leoro was like. Oh that's cool and then when you go to the page it's an s which makes a big difference? Yeah like anybody shopping for that car knows the difference between the base in the ASS. I think they may kill on the whole deal. They made about two forty two Of the regular. And then maybe a hundred of the ASS As if memory serves the side gills not functional. Right just for everyone's trying to make you feel better stank. I think they ever folks by on you for your fake air ducts and your fake hood stoops and everything every new car today that has is this fender side Gill on it. They're not really function. Well there will be a few but what a light light shall pass through right. You're you're Mustang. Dan Guys no light comes through your your nonfunctional. But the point is the S. is more valuable. Yeah it's got. What kind of a nicer interior? Yeah there's not that much different about it. You couldn't really tell by looking at it if you get in if you if you get in on it. It's the seats. That are kind of the tip ball and I would argue the side. Gill does break up a somewhat slab. Kind of line on the side necessarily agree. It does a little some agreed agreed. And that car those cars traditionally GONNA put a number out here. I think they're probably worth Earth about twenty percent more than ero and when I take the winter wiper off this one because I think we need a wiper and if this is sitting out in a lot somewhere so we might need a door handle as well so yes strip it down. So there's there's that we'll see we'll see if those cars there's there's there's a Muira. SV that looks kind of like it's got an engine swap and Blah Blah Blah. That that's going to be kind of a tough sell it's GONNA be tough. Salaries interim four hundred. Gt which is like a three fifty with the four later in it. I talked to you. Know the thing about Those cars as I talked to Rob of ROB report. He has a very nice interim. Yeah and you know if you look in the books and stuff like that that they'll go. There's you know. Twenty three interim so they stopped at the end of the production. On the three fifty mid mid late sixties. They started putting the four liter engine in what was three point five car. Yeah Rob had told me that. He a basically made his way into the Lamborghini office and pull out some papers like literally looking flashlight in his mouth and and he basically said to me. They're not all what you think they are. Yeah there's no way of telling if the car car started with a three point five blew up the motor in one thousand nine hundred ninety one went back to the factory and got the fort. You've got the four leader put in if you blew up. The motor went back. Dr Whatever it is and I once talked about like those cars I K serial number so so so so don't buy that one and then I said at this one this one. Oh yeah get that one so out of maybe the twenty-three maybe there's fifteen or sixteen. That are real deal. There's a few out there. There are some question marks now. I don't know who knows who cares. I like night the interim it's it's the interim if I it's weird because because the lack of original documentation on so many cars I has has long hurt the value of these but I kind of feel like the new documentation meeting enough auctions or trading hands of a particular car with the name interim or some feature jurors something on it starts to identify that car as a certain way. Yeah I don't this Leiro address. The sixty nine zero Sara S. Lamborghini at Barrett Jackson. I don't think that's a good fit for that car. I don't think that car is going to bring a bunch of money. Wouldn't hold my hopes out for that car. The bullet let mustangs going to sell We got a little inside information on that car. Yes well I think you know the things ensured too. I have always heard four million four million four million and I think that's kind of the price but did we make our predictions on that car. I think we took a stab at some mm predictions and it's kind of all over the map. Somebody told me the other day they felt three point two was a number. Somebody told me ten million was a number just a WII. Wow that is a legitimate. Nobody knows call. Yeah I can prognosticate. Is You know from our walk and talks. I'm walking fell and you're at home going doing dishes usually or going on sitting on your computer and you start throwing out cars. I start throwing out numbers. Yeah and I'm pretty fucking good like we'll do What do you think the estimates going to be on that? Gt Forties got a limited race history. But and I'm I talk about myself I noticed ever all pretty fucking dead nuts on those those gases the Yes or Yes yes get close but I have no this bullet thing. I would not be surprised at six six. I wouldn't be surprised success but I wouldn't be surprised at four and eight wouldn't flow. Nothing would be surprising. But I'll say six six just how of IT I. I don't know I was kind of like I don't know I think I think we had predictions that were maybe even bigger than that at some point but I thought it was like ten million bucks right. Yeah I obviously has the law man Mustang. So the best thing for him is cardio for ten million dollars. Paul Newman car. So I hope Steve McQueen card to I think it's in that four to six right. I think it does. I think it's a brought a number. Six six six is with the vague. All right also yeah do your spot and then I'll tell you about a car that people kinda slept on in his now knocking on the door of half a million bucks. Oh It's not on my list. People Slept Don. Let me tell you guys about Gyco. Everybody's got A.

"The hang gliding community decides to stay off the Internet as well but I as far as distances I'm seeing different tasks like because he's our multi-day competition so it'll be like sixty five miles a day. And do they do they. Did they say anything about altitude. Check that out so looking speeds gum scene between like thirty to forty. Yeah like Max. Yeah that's why are we thinking. It just seems like one of these really long marathon type events. Seems like this is GonNa. It's GonNa take a little while it is but I will talk to repeat and I think he will tell me you can get from. La To San Francisco in one slog. If you went well the record is four eighty something. Yeah so that's it's that's the record. That's how long. How long do you WANNA stay? You know well if you want to go thirty miles an hour thirty five miles an hour you'll cover one hundred miles in two and a half three hours right. It's you WANNA stay up there for twelve hours and you'll you'll get to San Francisco. Well Worth Apple Air Pods now. That's right yeah facetime. Yeah and one of the the trucker Catheters are held on just pee on the public. Not say just dangle it so the car world we're talking about I am going to speak a little bit out of turn I got hit up by Peter clute over their dream car garage motorcar legendary legendary legendary. Dairy motorcars. Yeah and he had this show I. I'm not sure dream car. Garage is still on Mexican. Pat is going to have to look that one up but I used to love dream car garage I did yeah. They he had Peter and his partner was kind of a funny guy later his son Yes now now his son Okay and so I think dream car garage was the show. And now maybe it's legendary motorcars or something like that. But the the point is says he's a he's a real deal car guy he's not tattoos and bracelets as a matter of fact zero tattoos zero bryce but real deal like. He's out of Canada his son races. He races he's got a I'm GONNA say like sixty nine VAT that he goes to indy with in the pro-am thing with Unser driving his car await is hunter. And he's he's Canadian and I I if I recall on his show the one thing that always was weird to me is the Lamborghini. coon he call contact Like if you think of how it's spelled right and he's yeah he'd He'd do it with Alan Junior. I think any do you know he drives shift and the other Guy Guy would drive a shift and an hour drive shift. He drives a real deal car guy and and they do real deal cars like they do they did A. GT forty like soup to nuts. Yeah really all research and all the regional parts and finding stuff and sourcing stuff and doing a real gt forty. It was a streetcar. Cool episodes cool. I if you're a car guy a real car guy and you don't want to see somebody else do another Hemi Khuda but you want to see some something way more interesting. Yeah he was doing. But he's he's he's a knowledge-based. He's an encyclopedia of cars. And I wouldn't say he's Zeh fabricator is I think as his shop has done some restoration stuff but he's he's he's more of historian he's good. No no no no his he. "School in Scottsdale one of the first in the valley saying no to cell phones during school time they're off they're in their backpacks we don't see them printable Nick Newnan got input from parents teachers and students in creating this policy we have taking different policy and just given it a little bit more life and just some some teeth as well as far as implementation in monitoring so they have actively banned them on campus in the sense where they can't be seen all right they need to be off and in the back pocket so your child so going to have access to a phone in like it if if after school you need to let them know Hey that's were you walking out on or if you need to communicate a message to them you can still get that to the but they can wait until after school hours to get that message if it's an emergency call the front office I don't be doing in your kids phone twenty three that I think this is been in involving policy because I can remember taking my god daughters to school or picking them up and they were not allowed to be seen with a cell phone now they have them but you couldn't be seen with it so it seems like the policies of just been involving overtime but that was it eight years ago maybe you know when I was dropping off an elementary school or junior high they had the phone but the but they they made the point to me like we can ever be seen holding sure there are other districts though that are building brand new schools and putting charging stations over the place there are other ceiling enemy like terminator or it's not hard for you to run around for a plus as long as the teacher isn't teaching you can be plugged in with headphones one on your phone so parents are concerned that the kids are already addicted to their phones and this is just kind of furthering that addiction and you know what I this should happen okay I'm encouraged that you at least have one middle school was kind of paving the way I've talked to my sister about it as well she has what is she could hear his sister's an administrator six I believe us okay as her school and she has a very similar policy she calls it a a gate to gate policy like I can't see the cell phone from the moment you walk in through the school gate until the moment you walk out of the school gates because it's not just it's not just the constant screen in front of your face type of issue it's also the describe the distraction factor you know we don't we're all distracted by our phone always but then on probably more I mean I'm sure it happens in the middle school setting but even in a high school setting I was talking to a local advocate here in the valley that works on technology a lot and she was telling me how there are high school teachers who are having to come up with six or seven different versions of one test I don't understand because one takes the tossed K. snapped a picture of it air drops at the period to had to take the test it's not you know it takes forever either right right air drops the answers to other students and so by the time she gets through all of her classes everybody are you know have a different version right because they are you know we have jurors who are already taxed to the limit because of larger class sizes and not as much funding and whatever whatever and they're having to come up with multiple versions of exams because students are cheating well Adam it's right to users a probably a variety of clever ways that you can quote unquote cheek bone in school and you know I mean do you are everywhere the point where you give me like you know have a locker in you lock it up when you come into school in France that's what I'm going to have to do you're either going to have to keep it in your locker okay or leaving home they can't see it and this is not just cellphones it's also tablets and smartwatches in France open my mind we do as a parent support banning cell phones on campus that they can be they give me a backpack you can't see them all right not allowing kids to use cell phones on campus at schools chime in on our open Mike line six SO two two hundred two seven three three six SO two two hundred two seven three three have you seen one of these wrong way drivers that are happening everywhere we had an incident in the I want to keep area last night were bystanders some of the victims in here jumped in and did the right thing will tell you what they did coming up next on Arizona's new station.

"Scottsdale Tempe, Phoenix Gilbert Mesa, which is the happiest valley city. Scottsdale Tempe, Gilbert, it had to be so many people they're retired. So they're all happy and retirement. I thought that's unite just totally different Scott sales the young hot place, man. That's where you go in. You have fun. You're saying happy. You're you're seeing people go there to die. That's how you see. I see totally different. So I see when I go to the grocery store over there. I'll tell you that. I don't see the young people. I I don't walk through the Safeway or the fries going dead. People seem older they're older. The reason I ask is according to people in the valley on social media. Gilbert is the happiest city in the state. Oh, I've I've never met anybody from Gilbert who wasn't happy. Gilbert is the happiest city in the state because the tweet Facebook, and they're always happy stuff, and they even the even has tag, happy bunch of phonies. What do you mean, I don't think been downtown Gilbert? Yeah. But most people that go on Facebook and claim to be happy are the most miserable. They highlight reel. I see then behind closed doors. I hate you hate you to all the kids are paying awful. So Gilbert, Gilbert, they lies a bunch of liars lying. All right. So Tucson is the angriest city, well, why shouldn't they be? I mean, I mean the Tucson, right? I mean, of course, they're gonna be angry if they want to change it just move. I disagree with that too. I I think the people in Tucson are happy. They don't realize how crappy their city is. They don't get it. Well, then that would make angry. No, they don't get it. We get it. Because like if you live in Scottsdale Tempe were any valley city. Yeah. This is awesome. This is great. This is the plan you go to Tucson. You're like, wow. This place is boring. It stinks. It's horrible. But if you live in Tucson, you man, I like it here. Got an in and out. I'm good. Are you? Sure. People in Tucson light to say, Becky Lynn. Are you following that that I'm wreck of logic train wreck? It's brilliant. I'm kind of thinking you're going on the whole ignorance is bliss kind of thing if you're into sign you don't get out of it. You see what you have? They are on day. They are angle by it. Okay. Pablo? Just put him on your there are three in announcing Tucson. So I to leave. Wow. Gotta gotta be happy about that coming along. Okay. Well, I just don't believe this study. I cou if you will. All right. I pooh-poohed it was just open up the phone and get out of here. Okay. Yeah. Because we have a very interesting Hollywood couple. Yes. Actually, one guys in one of my favorite movies. We'll talk about that. All right. A Hollywood couple admitted to a terrifying. Experience that led to their child being taken to the ICU. Correct. The parent caused the ingen fortunately, yeah. Here's your question. Did you ever accidentally caught your child to be authorized and have you ever forgiven yourself for doing it the story? Yeah. Six zero two two seven seven five eight two seven stripe your kid on on the floor. I remember my dad tried to shut a gate on my didn't see my sister. After almost almost crushed her hand he felt awful for years. And that's why she got a car, and I didn't. Yeah. I can see that. And then you've been winding all since and why not to seven seven KTAR. Did you ever accidentally cause your kid to be heard maybe putting hospital? It's talk about that your calls next..

"Gaydos political insider always fun. So stay tuned for that. But I something not fun a full bladder. Turned into a full arrest. Apparently, for one Arezzo cardinal yeah so. Bad, week for, the cardinals obviously general, manager, Steve is in jail forty, eight, hours. DUI extreme point one, nine we've been discussing that but now there's a situation with an Arizona Cardinals. Player named Ricky. Seals Jones pretty exciting player make. This'll be a second year there. Was, an incident in Scottsdale yeah he he was at the, w hotel Camelback and, Scottsdale, near Camelback and, Scottsdale roads early Saturday morning and he. Was told late Friday night you go out the wsa a place where a lot of people. Go and they hang out they drank Holidays socialized but I'm confused do we know if he. Was there To hang out and socialize or was he? Just going somewhere else and. Ran into the, w to go to here's how I, read? It Ricky seals Jones the cardinal had to use the, restroom right the, way that I interpret this is that you know he. Walked to he was near, the w near Camelback and Scottsdale road and from, what I understand he goes up and you know. What this place it's not just like a hotel on, a weekend. It is like one of the places, to be, okay hang out so you can't, just cruise in like you, know? If you go to. The Venetian you can't just walk in right that's the deal w so I think he what he did, is he walked up and the. Bouncer or somebody, there he says and this is what police, say, seals Jones says. I need to use the restroom badly And he wanted to use the restroom, inside, obviously, rather than. Risk being arrested for urinating and publishers of smart, move we'll get to that in a second but when he asked to use the? Restroom he was told no. Hotel guests only, well do you have a room here, no? Are you here to party or socialize no I just, need to use, the bathroom so he turned around he turned around he. Attempted to enter the hotel, in the valley parking area one hotel staff member, tells police that Ricky seals Jones by the way. Six five to forty muscled his way in kind of, pushing a. Little bit elbowing a little bit he, basically blocked, basically was a blocker and you, know yeah he moved like, an? Offensive lineman even though. He's dead end which means that it he wants you to move you're going to move right so there, wasn't a punch thrown Ricky seals. Jones said hey, listen I didn't I didn't shove anybody I took a step someone, put their hands on me and I pushed, so my yeah so haven't we? All. Been in a situation where you have? To, go you have to go but you're. Not at a place. You're not sitting. Down for dinner because obviously you could use the restaurant right. You're not at a baseball game with the Diamondbacks you could use one of, the million restaurant you run into a pharmacy you run into a supermarket you run into the. WalMart abo use the bath maybe a little different you, can, probably do that well yeah yeah, yeah absolutely no today he, comes out and says what I meant to say. Is I did not need? To use the bathroom really no he did not know, Trump, way, to get. Out of jeez don't That's what everybody's gonna. Wind up doing after something. Bad happens what I meant. To say was I, did not need to. Use the bathroom I shouldn't. Have, been, arrested. No, he. Said, I badly need to use the, right we've all been in this situation but it seems like more and more people. Are, not allowed to go into a bad right right and, we, understand And I hate. To say this but we. Understand that you have a homeless. Population like in downtown or, something like that we understand, why there are rules that you have to come in be a customer or buy something to use the restroom I get it but there, are some places you. You're scratching your head going. Why, can't I use the bathroom here well that is the question. Restrooms are kind of disappearing here's the thing for cardinals player Ricky seals Jones. Get arrested but I first. Of, all give them a lot of credit for when..
