"You may be familiar with Rosanna Scotto. My My former co anchor their channel five. She lost her dad, Anthony Scotto. Over the weekend. He died at the age of 87. I believe it may have been covid related. I'm not 100% sure about that. I know he was sick for a while. But he was a great man. Very, very nice man. Very patrician, um and just kind of held court at that restaurant knew so much about politics and life and Yeah, you know. Look. Hey, I first met him, I guess in 2000 and seven and always a gentleman. Always a gentle no. Quite a life he led, and, uh but quite a family. My goodness, Gracious and our condolences to Rosanna, His wife, Marion. Sons, Anthony and John, and, um, Elena, his daughter, Roseanna, sister. Just a great guy, Um, enjoyed smoking a cigar or two with him over the years and, uh, Um, great sense of humor, Such wisdom and political insight. So I was really sorry. And so i wanted to be in good hanson I went well for me the night before surgery. I laughed up until the night before surgery. And then just as. I was going to bed it. I i've so invasive you have to be ready for people to just constantly looking at you and and that that was the vulnerability that i didn't like. How did you manage the vulnerability. Well when i wish. I was already but i mean they'd think i told the doctor laying in the hospital is it was all very quick. I had never had issues all happen. Pretty quickly now. I said to the doctor affected to a bit about this. How when i came. I said if i go on the table just let me go. Don't even try to hit me with the dump we started. We'll be town. Go you put a lot of work into this. If i go. Just give me one shot with the panels at once. Played had wonderful people in including melanie. Mehran surely stiller from seven beauties. The honeymoon killers. Which i'm sure you know. So the wonderful shirley stoler was in the play off broadway and that play became wrote it then is a screenplay crossing delancey when i wrote the screenplay crossing delancey i brought a lot of my life into a lot of the film was shot in my very apartment building. I had done a play with with someone who is dating one of the roaches. And so i got to know the roaches and i. I brought jones silver choose to hear them perform because i was writing the screenplay to one of those one of their albums so it was my soundtrack as i was writing it and i wrote the soundtrack into the script so the script is full theory personal details everything from if you know the movie. He's the front runner. Five years ago. Ukrainians took to the streets that overthrew their former president Viktor Yanukovych since then they faced a simmering war in the east of their country with Russia, which also annexed the Crimean peninsula. Noah Sneider is our Moscow correspondent, he recently visited Mr. Lansky onset in Kiev. They've seen their economy crash and come back from the brink. And they've seen many of the promises of the revolution unfulfilled, especially when it comes to fighting corruption that's opened a huge Gulf of distrust with the authorities and that has led to a strange situation where the front runner in. These elections is a comedian an actor with no political experience whatsoever riding this wave of anti-establishment sentiment and frustration towards a likely victory.
