"Go ahead. Hey, good morning. Martin good to hear you back on the air. I've been keeping you in my prayers. So I'm glad you're feeling better. I voted about. Yes. How many do you know? I don't know. I know couple gentlemen. Welcome. Thank you. Thank you. It's good to hear your voice. It really is. I read it about a half an hour ago. Southfield township Washington county precinct three others number sixty three which frankly is probably a little higher than normal. Could be described as a true political insider. Are you buying? What about you buying what I'm selling about the Trump? Movement here that people voting because they hate him because they love, but they're voting. Oh, I definitely think you're right. I mean, there's there's certainly we're seeing a passion in politics that we we certainly haven't seen before. And it's driven a lot by the president. Whether you like him or not, I also think that a lot of people myself included are being driven by gender. I'm in that new nearly created fourteenth congressional district. And I was absolutely thrilled that there's a dynamic woman named Bibiana Borio running in that race. I'm thrilled that we're seeing more women get into politics. Yeah. By the way, what great observation how many women that you know, are motivated by Trump for better or worse. I would say virtually every woman, I know, you know, and in my circle of women are, you know, they're like me, they're they're college educated. They're professionals summer, married. Some are not some have kids some don't, but they're really paying a lot more attention to politics than ever before. So the Trump effect is gonna help some of these people, but some limited to get spanked because women are kinda sat on the sidelines. I'm going gonna vote like never before. That's just my theory. And it's going to happen in Pennsylvania today, by the way today. Ranked? I I don't know if they'll get spanked. But you know, there's if there's any good, and I get extremely frustrated with the president's vitriolic, language and his behavior. Right. Because you can't it. It doesn't allow you to even consider whether any of his policies are good or not. 'cause I personally can't get past that. A lot of women can't go, right? Right. And so you know that that it drives people to the polls. That's a good thing. I mean, we need people do need to pay attention to what's happening in their government. And they do need to vote, by the way, the other thing John appro who was truly Harrisburg insider as well. My other theory is insiders like Scott Wagner who wanted to be a be Trump. It's a bad plan. There's only one Trump and he gets away with it. Galley Scott wag Wagner comes along and tries to play. The mean guy the tough guy the nasty guy in the blows up in his face. Does it not? I think so, you know, I, I certainly, you know, clearly, you know, in early in the interest of full disclosure I worked for the wolf administration. But you know, you can't you can't compare a guy like Scott leg ner and his behavior and his language and the things he's done inside to to a gentleman such as our governor who is a fundamentally decent. Good, man. Who's done? He's done an excellent job. He's cut corporate taxes. He's invested in communities. I, you know, I I don't wanna do a political commercial here. But I, you know, I think people do at the end of the day that an I think you make a good point, you know, whether you like Donald Trump or not there is only one Donald Trump. He's got millions of people voting and Iraq and regarding wolf I've gotten silos with the government over policy, but I told my wife, and she's been conservative entire life for entire family is more conservative of the older. I get I told my wife, you will not please. Honey, I'm begging you can't vote for that nasty Scott Wagner talking about stopping somebody's face with Gulf shoes. I mean, it's just ignorance stuff. And it's just there's no place for that nastiness. And I'll tell you what the governor handled that rhetoric with nothing but class Jonah pro it's a pleasure to hear from you. It's always a pleasure. And I really miss you talk to you again. All right. Good to have you back on the air, mardi you take care of yourself. She's a smart woman. Very very smart. We'll be right back..

"Turns out that the it's just not politics. Not what it used to be. It's not gentlemanly anymore is it. Now, I give you this case Scott Wagner is the Republican candidate for governor in Pennsylvania's digging on a guy named Tom Wolfe is a democrat. Yeah. Incumbent? Now they've been running ads against each other. And then there's one and in which he's got like business guy. 'cause it's the it's the of the businessman running for for elected office. We got to run for governor here, right? Yeah. So they. There's an ad that is running by a democratic pack not by the governor himself, but by the democratic governor, but the by the democratic pack that supporting the governor that is accusing the Republican businessman, Scott Wagner of strong arming seven thousand customers into paying their garbage bills. Because that's what he does. He does it's got a company waste management. That'd be the first time in waste management history. That anyone has ever accused anyone doing anything. Smacking illegal just a straight up another kind of business in general, isn't it? So what has got Wagner? Do also very twenty mid twenty first century almost now thing to do. He went on the internet to threaten his opponent governor wolf, let me tell you between now in November six you better. Put a catcher's mask on your face because I'm gonna stop all over your face with golf spikes because I'm gonna win this for the state of Pennsylvania. Worth throwing you out of office. This is where we are in America. Now, I'm going to stop all over your face with golf spikes tonight. I'm just going to kick in the teeth mix. The truth is I have to have the SaaS bikes and my country's don't let me actually use the heart spike Famer, then he's going to take a lacrosse mallet. But he's telling them an invasive catcher's mask won't work now hurt his feet nonsense. This is this. This is the new thing though. Republicans think they got a sound like Trump. Can get away with that. Yeah. I think so this is not a here. Yeah. I think Trump is. Because Trump is is when he does that you're like, this is a guy who grew up literally, it was six months old and a millionaire, right? He was the only fights he was in. We're in prep school, and they sent him to military school because he kept hitting people that were unsuspecting on the play lot. Right. I mean, it's not like he was not exactly a really a tough guy is playing one is president. So this guy, although using waste management. Maybe is a tough guy. Okay. "Hey, doing great. It's friday. It's almost time to go. I feel great. Of course. I I wanna get your reaction to this allot of coverage today on Scott Wagner and his decision to go with a Facebook live where he said in part, this your people said that I've raised the right white flag governor wolf let me tell you between now and November six you'd better put a catcher's mask. On your face because I'm gonna stop all over your face with golf spikes. Because I'm gonna win this for the state of Pennsylvania. And what throw you out of office because you know, what I'm sick and tired of your negative ads. So governor wolf I'm bound and determined. I'm going to vote you out of office. The people Pennsylvania gonna vote you out of office on November six enough is enough. We got to collect their money. And I believe that businesses in Pennsylvania believe that. And this is an insult anybody that issues paychecks, and once again, John you've been covering this for Katy k TV what did you learn this afternoon? Well. The Wagner people immediately kind of backed down from the statement, essentially saying that this was a metaphor that obviously is Scott Wagner does not intend to confront the governor with golf spikes and stop all over. He couldn't do it. Even if we wanted to they wouldn't let, you know, the the state police are all around the governor you can't get back close to him. To do anything like that. But the fact is that that the the whole question of this is just political hyperbole, or does this manifests something or say something about Scott Wagner that the Democrats are certainly going to use an are using to suggest he's not fit to be governor of Pennsylvania. And that's what this will. This has already become the hour since this statement was posted on Facebook by Scott Wagner, and you hear criticism even from Republicans the Steve Scalise the majority whip of the US house representatives he was the congressman who was shot at that softball field. He put out a tweet this afternoon, basically condemning Scott Wagner, so rhetoric is unfortunate and not appropriate. So I think this is just another example, frankly of how our politics has gotten so heated and so. Oh harden. And I think most people just kind of say a pox on the mall is too much politics. But Wagner, says the heat was Trump before Trump was Trump, and that seems to be a line that many politicians like to be able to use. I'm dislike Trump if you will. And I'm wondering to what extent is this like Trump or has this gone well beyond anything Trump's ever done? Well, I think part of the rejection as we see how many people who are unhappy about politicians in general what they liked about Donald Trump was that he stood up to it all, and he basically said things that were outrageous. And that people knew were outrageous, but they kind of liked because it was so non-conventional it was so different from other quote politicians, and if maybe Scott Wagner thinks that he can follow that that that pattern and and make this his mantra, I just don't know that it works for him. I think it was different with Donald Trump who was already television personality for saying, you're. Fired. And I think people knew that and that sort of resonated with his character. But I think when you're a former state Senator, and you're somebody seeking the governor's office in Pennsylvania. I'm not sure that nobody knew Scott Wagner before this campaign, frankly, and I think it's pretty hard to create a new image. Just doing this kind of stuff more. He's definitely getting talked about as you talk about the text that was put out by Scalise eights made national news, so the name recognition. He didn't have before today. He's getting. But is there this argument that all publicity is good publicity? Well, that's exactly right. And that's exactly what the Democrats are saying. And in fact, they'll cite polls that show Scott Wagner is down by more than double digits perhaps as much as twenty points. And and I I think that from my perspective as a political analyst looking at this. I obviously this gets them. Attention to puts them in the news. But is it the kind of reputation that you want as voters start to think about which candidate they vote for in three and a half weeks. I don't think that's really helps them another good example too of how just because the technology technologies available. You don't necessarily use it. I have a hard time believing that this video see the light of day if they would have taken this as a take of recording something and then put it out later. He went Facebook live with this. And then once you do you just can't bring it back. Well, that's right. And he may have had a legitimate complaints. You know, if you watch the whole thing, and I tried to report this in my story tonight. What set him off was a billboard in your county in which somebody we don't know whether it was the wolf campaign or an arm of the wolf campaign is essentially accusing Scott Wagner of going after some nearly seven thousand customers of his of this waste management company for billing, you know, going after them for bills owed and the rest and. He claims that's a lie. And he was unhappy about what he says or governor wolf's lies, and that's what set him off. And so, you know, is this a candidate overreacting or a candidate basically wanting to get on social media to say, hey, I want to clarify the record. Here's what's true. And in the course of doing that he then got into this line about stopping on the governor's face with uh spikes. I mean that it it just seems to me he may have had good intent to start with. But it ended ended up destroying his own message. John from Katie k TV thank you very much. John. Hey, always great to be with you have a great weekend. Everybody. All right. Thank you. "Senator Scott Ragner is the GOP candidate for governor. He's running against the legend. Tom Wolfe in Obama's clothing, and Scott Wagner. Total told a story. And he used a raccoon. And the story was about it was actually a comparison. Of why people like Donald Trump, and I'm gonna play the two parts of the story after five o'clock for you. You can hear it. It's it's actually on Facebook, the Scott Wagner campaign put it on Facebook. Now, a couple of things happened that I researched over the week because it came out of the Harrisburg area, the story pan live, and it was it was a headline that. Said that Scott, Wagner said all these horrible things and it was racist. And it was repugnant and all this stuff. So I immediately went and I listened to the tapes I didn't hear it. And then the author of the news story in Harrisburg. Who wrote about Scott, Wagner speech made the claim that he said horrible things about. Illegal immigrants illegal immigrants and Muslim refugees. He said it was repugnant and racist. So I question that I said, I find it interesting that you would write a story about a Republican candidate saying something that was quote repugnant and racist about illegal immigrants and Muslim refugees. And then not show it or printed. And that therein lies the problem. Now, I'm using this as an example because. Anything the left or anything the media thinks is racist? Or if it makes them uncomfortable. They characterize it that way, they don't need to prove it. They don't need to prove it because for two and a half years. What have they done with Donald Trump racist racist racist racist racist over and over? And over Donald Trump is the first guy to push back. He's the first guy to say hold on a second. So his narrative has been fake news fake news fake news, fake news. But think about this up until Donald Trump. We did not have a president or a candidate for that matter with the. To tell somebody like wolf Blitzer? I don't know why you're calling me a racist you idiot. But I'm not do you have any proof? No, they were all afraid they were afraid. In fact, the GOP in Washington is so afraid of being called a racist. They stopped fighting back. There's so many people in the Republican party in Washington DC that are cowards. They're afraid to fight back. What happens if I blow up on Twitter or there's a me about me.
