"You know final and that's another nashville thing. As you start to do the solo shows. I mean is creed as a unit. Will you guys ever play a band show again. I i don't know man. I mean. I don't see why not but you're not broken up right now. You're just not to get. Am i right on this. I i wouldn't say that we are broken up. No i would say we are on an extended hiatus You know. I've i've recently Spoken with mark and flip. And and you know we we stay in touch not not like I don't want to mislead anybody you know it's not like we're texting everyday or calling every day but you know we reach out On holidays and birthdays and we have ongoing business That we handle whatever you is host to ever getting back together again to play shows no absolutely not so much. No i absolutely not i i would. I'm not opposed to that at all. I mean it just has to be the right the right time And and i. I think you know the right. The right energy and vibe And it has to be authentic inorganic And we all have to be in the right place to do it. And and i and i think we're close to that you know like i said i don't see any reason why that couldn't happen In the near future you know when you see someone gets so popular. It doesn't matter what it is. What if it's a writer. An artist like i love coal. Play on my favorite bands. Yeah and the fact that people can hate on coldplay just because they're so famous there's like the platform continues to rise till so many people see you that you're just going to get enough haters until my fiance that now because she didn't want the public life at all right but because she's with me she now has two hundred fifty thousand followers and she's people will come at her she's like i didn't do anything right. He's i don't wanna like people. Are death threats talking to how ugly she is. She's not ugly at all and she shouldn't be killed in. So i'm like you know your platform even though you don't want it has been raised right so more people see you get jealous right. You had to feel that at some point where you guys were so big i i. Yeah i one hundred percent felt that And it hurt for a number of years Once once things turned from. You know. I'll i'll never forget You know i've got an article framed In in one of my rooms where i keep stuff in it says you know creed and scott stapp or this. Summer's rock and roll saviors. Okay so we went from those type of headlines to literally you.

"Ninety-seven whenever. I hear a song from like. I mean like. I feel like i felt then music. Does that when you hear a song that reminds you of a really big part of your life for a second. You fill that part of your life and this record does that to me. The record in general torn dorm. What's this life for which was a rock number one for you guys. Was this big separator for you. Guys did this one. Turn you guys from a national known ban to like. Whoa here they come. I think you know my imprisoned went all four of our first singles went number one at rock and and i think it was a build And then you know my own prison was our first video that was on. mtv vh one and then what's this life for I think was our second video that was on. Mtv and vh one and it was more of a it had more of a a appeal to a wider audience. What's this life for. Did i think that's what i felt other people were knowing about you right. Edge dallas out. Have a friend record. Take a cassette tape because kids know you do record play pause and then you undo pause record. What's on the radio. And i have a friend. Send it to me. He was like you got to hear creed. What's us lie for him. I was like already been known about creed. But i felt like that song. Yeah i definitely. I definitely think that that just expanded it even further and i think the video had had a lot to do with that too and i think it was it was really palatable You know to a wider audience And i think we began to see our audience by by the time. What's this life for. And then once one the song one became a single and in had its time our audience really expanded from and was a mix of men and women and initially it was just you know dudes Based on our first two singles you know into heavy of you know. Heavy aggressive rock But those two songs showed a different side of the band and began to really open up our audience and then the next record with higher. Did you saw the rocket ship for the first record. You make it. You don't spend a lot of money on it but you're hustling right. Got fake representatives. going to record stores. you are in the hustle. Right do you feel the rocket ship or do you just realize oh boy. We're on it now. We expected it. We we were so or at least i did. I had this blind confidence. And i had these blinders on. And i just thought that it was going to happen. I just had such belief in the music that we were creating and then once we made the cd and then once the record label started coming down. I just thought that. Hey here it is..

"At the time. I thought well. Hey i mean that. That's just the way that that you meet musicians and start a band. What about music. Yeah and so. I went there with the specific goal of meeting musicians to start a band And that was. That was the goal. Did you have major well. I i did It was communications and minor in english. And and like i had like three or four miners. Because i kept changing my major. Like i think it started out as like philosophy and and You know and you know. So i got a lot of minors and and and you know my backup plan Which i didn't really focus on too much was i was going to go to law school And and do that. Were you smart kid. I did okay in school. yeah i did. I don't know if i was smart. But i i studied in. Did well take me to like sixth grade. Scott like when you're in sixth grade and you're like what do you wanna be when you grow up because you kind of start around six seventh grade to figure out what your bones are about right like what did you want to do. Twelve thirteen years old. I wanted to be a major league baseball player. did you have the genetic build the work ethic. Did you have that kind of at twelve thirteen. We already advanced baseball. Yeah yeah yeah. And and i practiced every day and And did well. And i was a jock man to believe it or not. I sang i performed at school At my church And you know even created wrote lyrics and poetry and whatnot but then my focus though was was baseball and basketball and and and i put hours and hours and hours into both of those sports. When did that dream pivot into music. Well my senior year. I had got some scholarship offers And did some some school visits and believe it or not. Vanderbilt was one of the schools that have you had division one school saying hey come play ball here and recruited me. Yeah wow and i remember me and my father Came up and met with coach here. did did a tour of the school And so i you know. I think it was my destiny to end up in nashville Because i think and also to be in music. Because i think i think my my philosophically and spiritually i think by my life path was was.

I have been a genuine fan of for twenty years and so. I'm grateful that you took the time to come over here and hang out and let me talk with you because again on a fan and it's rare for me to talk to someone in that capacity and thank you. And i haven't been trying to avoid you i promise well it i i was such a fan and i want to tell you my one scott stapp creed story all right. It's a good story. I accept. I'm embarrassed i was like nineteen. It was like two a night. Maybe ninety nine or two thousand. And you're just fears older than i am so you must've been like twenty five or something like that one four twenty five you guys were had sold out the arena in little rock arkansas. And that's where i'm from central arkansas right in creed was coming through frigging pumped and i was working at a radio station and i was. It was that part of my career. I was like man. If i can get backstage all i wanna is say hi to scottsdale. That was my goal. And so i'm back in the backstage area and what people don't realize you know to backstage really not that glamorous right there's a place for some pictures right but it's not like the band hangs out backstage. Mostly it's in the buzz. And so were you a ping pong player. We played ping pong backstage tournaments with you. You did so. I'm back there. And i'm just dislike man. I just want any any time to see scott step and so you come walking in. You'll just chill. You just walked in the room. And i was like. Oh my god you went..

Sometimes people come in and inducing flowing now we had hoped or i'm having a bad day or they're having a bad day and it goes twenty thirty minutes but what scott he was so open is an hour long and he didn't do many interviews so Pretty proud of this. That i talked with them for an hour so i mean he talks about it all their unheard of rise to fame how they got a record deal which was weird meaning. Everybody wanted on the. Nobody wanted them. "Thanks for asking this pre approved question We made you memorize. All right, Have fun. So there you go. Yeah, that That's the video I was referring to right there. Yes, yeah. Absolutely. Kids were sitting there. You get questions Santa and you're like, Yeah, Here's a no car kid. Ask him about whether you get covert on carrots. But worse. So you think that was more like the MSNBC town halls? But, yeah, I don't know. You got a kid. You got a kid who's roughly the age of that. Right? Now and in Lincoln's inquisitive, Right? Very Yes, okay. Has he ever asked you about the You know the specifics of Cove it in the Ana and the impact it has on Christmas. Never has never brought that up, huh? That's weird. Weird, mostly kids or younger. By the way, they're like, four. So you know they're sitting there and they're like, Are you guys all wearing masks up in the North Pole? Sorry. Just annoyed me Annoyed me. Uh, by the way, Speaking of that I can't decide if this annoys me. Scott Stapp playing Frank Sinatra. Yes, I made a transition mean Yes, that's could the lead singer of Creed. Remember when Heath Ledger was cast? It is the Joker and everyone was like that too Ridiculous. That'll never work And he was like the best joker in the world. What if it's like that, because their initial responses Scott Stab is Sinatra's ridiculous, But who knows? I don't know. Under the casting director. I didn't see this audition. I point this out because they're doing a Ronald Reagan movie, which I'm sure will used to crap on Reagan in some way, shape or form. The whole time. That being said among the casting decisions because Frank Sinatra's in the movie Is the lead singer of Creed Scott Stapp. Well, I could sing right? I mean, it's part. I mean, he can functionally sing. I don't know what kind of Frank Sinatra stuff Who is do they have some guy who was on one of those talent shows? Who sound like Frank Sinatra. He was like He was like a black guy, and he was like he worked at a car wash or something, but he sounded like fricking Frank Sinatra. I think he was on one of the you know, the One I don't want I'm not really into those talent shows on TV, but he was on one of those. I remember seeing a video of him on YouTube. But I'm like that's crazy. Get that dude. And fulfill your little Hollywood quota love. Right? That's the dude sounds like Frank Sinatra. He sounds like Frank Sinatra. My best. My favorite Scott Steps story. He was trying to make a comeback. And there was I. This is a true story. My program director. Where the hell was I in solid city at the time told me this because it was in Colorado neighboring right? Yeah. So he's trying to make a comeback created been off the map for a while because Scott staffed. I'd like a drinking problem, so they arranged to have a meeting at a restaurant Scott Stapp. Record executives, radio people yada yada in the middle of its got stabbed, gets up walks into the corner of the restaurant and peace. Because he's still hammered drunk, okay? Believe it or not, no comeback did not happen. Now. Come on, man. I'll tell you get noticed. Good now he's good now, right? I'll tell you get noticed. Hey, when I when I do when I re negotiate my contract, I go right down the hall to the boss's office. Just all on every just on the day. Everything. Yeah. Lets him know. Hey, I'm here. You better talk to that is a power move. All right, That's how we get things done around here. By the way, you want to jump in the way back. Was she with me? Here we go. Up pop, understand me and soul inspired pop to, like, dance your stuff. Pitcher, Right. There's a magic to their voices. And no Gallagher from Oasis is he has a pretty strong presence in this documentary, and he put it so perfectly when you're in a band with your brothers. It's like you're playing a musical instrument that nobody else has. Is Scott Stapp in that documentary to surprisingly no Justin Timberlake is and he says he's not high. He's not high. Yeah, he talks about Berries, voices, he says, huh? He goes into this thing about how he thinks the BG's voices in this one song sound like a brass instrument like instead of a sax you get the Bt is vocal, and then he stops and he goes I swear I'm not high right now, which he's a big stone or I don't know. You know that or not Timberlake? Yeah. Is that public knowledge pretty public late? Yeah, like you've got the inside scoop both that and and I just know, And he said it before. He's big, big big on the weak. Like of the five instinct dudes E would say he's got a more money than the rest of burn tree and probably more desire. I don't know about J C shot says I've only seen him drunk. Oh, yeah. Here's a us What is this US weekly from 2011? Why? I smoke pot from Justin Timberlake for you being serious? "Question what the hell are you doing hanging out with Scott Stapp yeah wow that escalated back it's not that it's not that hard yeah I mean I hope god will be easy I mean you're Scott Stapp and kid rock right I think they were playing on a tour with stained maybe one other Aaron Lewis had somehow been involved in my what if it turns out that you're losing the group he was recording so so anyway there is that sex tape and I'm really you know thank you I can't I they will be my goal this weekend to find out Scott stops autobiography by the way he claimed he was digitally imposed into the video all wow one of four women featured on the kid rock's Goss that sex tape has filed a lawsuit against the former creed front man in the company attempting to distribute the video so yeah things went bad I guess so the red light district of the company the bot Paris's sextape which by the way that was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be I always felt like I was missing out on something because I did not I did not feel that way like it can I tell you why you didn't and I did good for you you're just looking at it visually and gone okay there's Paris Hilton she you know whatever she wasn't good at what she did well like she didn't enjoy it I I disagree for a billionaire heiress to go after it like she did like that that's that's what I got out of that is that there's a billionaire is that doesn't have to do that she could pay she could just sit back all day this black man after man like this what I want you to me this is what I want to do whatever but she was like I don't care who my dad is or how many hotels he's got I'm working for it a yes yes I didn't think she was work maybe that maybe aren't screwed up our definitions of working for it are two different things because that was my problem is our lack of work she just wanted to like kiss it well what else do you want to do take it out to lunch I just want a little more enthusiasm that's all yes you heard us we'll place all right we'd be remiss if we did by the way Scott Stapp had released a press release after he threw a bottle of orange Gina as wife's head and he emailed me the press release because he had been on my show like two weeks before that we talked a lot about roe I was waiting it was all part of the big misunderstanding and I feel bad about this to this day but he had a couple handlers with them this is what he what he was going through one of his bouts with sobriety and yet his handlers with them sober coaches and that we go to break after a great interview with Scott about you know diction above the bar we go to break one of the sailors like are you are you a friend of bill W. and I go oh yeah yeah I like I like I know that dude whatever well it turns out that's what alcoholics ask each other if they don't want to say out loud like are you an alcoholic and I realized that about five seconds later as he was talking to me as if I struggled with those same demons but I didn't know how to say oh no no no I'm not an alcoholic so I just let them keep believing way so he asked you a question I was going to clash of like kind of like that the what's the frequency Kenneth is there any alcoholics anonymous program there called friends of bill right okay yeah but how are you to know that I did well I I knew it but it it's not the first thing that came to mind because we go to break and I'm talking in there like are you from the bills I'm like yeah I think I know a bill whatever but that but then I realized just the kind of just keep the conversation going on oh hell yeah you know I was like yeah I know bill and then I realized immediately that means they think you're an alcoholic so anyway we talk it's gotten I keep in touch and I'm I'm like therefore my K. hang in there whatever so then I guess he had about with something and he and his wife got into it and he threw a bottle of orange Gina at our head I'll never forget that you know those little bottles it could do some damage with that so he he emailed me a press release said Hey can you make sure this gets out to the media and I found myself in a tough spot because I don't know whether to correct his spelling and grammar mistakes or not but I figure the right because there are a lot of them and I fear the right thing to do sort of sell out is to just let it be released can I play for you over here my favorite drew Grob Scott that moment of all time I just remembered what it was from the morning X. go ahead amazing thing that could happen is is it's just believing in a train manage and keep going and it actually happening are you guys we're heading about the ten minute mark you want to have a great wrap up question or anything like that at the time yeah good where we will end on that note I appreciate it very much got great connecting with you got through thank you does life I've I've never had that happen in a live interview before let alone Scott Stapp I look at have we gone long before certainly I don't make it a regular practice to do so because I try to be respectful they do radio tours there are other people waiting to talk to them and to be to be fair sometimes I won't ask like with John Travolta we didn't ask how long we had because like why give them the out given the vibe is check wrong to feel like if John Travolta can go thirty minutes like any other to Brody does have the right to just have their publicist Hoppin midway you're not wrong when it comes to star power but I with Travolta I damn sure wasn't going to say Hey you know let's make sure we keep it at ten minutes or eight minutes or whatever I read John on the phone and I said Hey when if you feel like you need to go at any time you tell us he was like oh my god no a lovely second so fans will believe will like what a big failure who wouldn't want to hear how great the awful like thirty forty minutes I remember what the exact quote was this has been an amazing love letter to my career something held me up say say it again save as John Travolta how gosh I don't know if I have any I believe in this is like a love letter to my career was locust walk in there's always a little bit but there are multiple fiction the your beautiful Mandel stop I want to take you up on that Hoagland okay that was all walking I think so let's move to the bigger story of the day which is if they if you haven't heard there has been an arrest and in Minneapolis and its police officer Derek shall been arrested after George Floyd's of course murder in my opinion and I was up until about one in the morning watching the fires burned at the precinct in Minneapolis where these four officers worked and everyone has a different reaction to it some reactions are based on preconceived notions and prejudices some reactions are based on anger and frustration and sadness and years of oppression or a and R. S. and various filters that we see this through I was overwhelmingly captivated and sad when I saw where we are and John sent me something yesterday and then it started to take off a little bit and I don't want to see this overshadows the tragedy at all because we definitely have a problem I think we can all admit when things like this can still happen in society that that four cops would feel so empowered to let aid man forget about color for a moment a man die in front of them saying I can't believe I'm dying but John sent me something yesterday and then since then it's gotten traction and my eyes I want to say have been opened more than they've been in a long time in my mind even has been opened as well and I'd like to talk to you about it because I don't know what it means John doesn't know what it means but we know that there might be more to this than meets the eye is that fair to say yeah in in I hate that so I guess that pretty much said if we're going to just cut you know make a cut and dry I would lean more on the I can't understand or relate to the riots right now having that general opinion seeing the video that I saw last night what shows eight eight a man dressed in all black with a gas mask on and in a in a Brownlow sorry go go up to the auto zone which was really the catalyst one of the first places that go up in flames of people really looted across in the target he goes up with a hammer it breaks all the windows out and then just kind of disappears out into the into into the mist it just made me realize it might being can in my being controlled to have the opinion that I have no no if things were just as they seemed my opinion would still be the same but I think a lot of people out there need to stop and look at the whole picture and say is that your opinion or is that the opinion somebody wants you to have in there doing things to ensure that you have that opinion are we being controlled and manipulated not even just by the media but by the powers that be that want to put us in one bucket or another bucket and are we playing right into their hands with the reactions that we have to a story like this my eyes are open I mean not only are we being controlled but are we being distracted from something else that's the real root they were not seeing because we're so busy looking at what's happening that's chaos that we feel like we can't control right and so and so I'm watching the precinct burn at the same time as I'm thinking about umbrella man and I'm going who started this violence was this violence the source of an auto shop provocateur designed to make us feel a certain way about a certain group of people what if there is a peaceful protest in Minneapolis and nothing burns and there's no looting or anything like that then were forced to address the systemic racism in America that leads to cops killing unarmed black people well maybe there's somebody doesn't want to do that or maybe it's even deeper than that maybe this is because I hate to even say this because I don't want to give credence to the people who said that covert was a hoax and I don't think you are I just think it's getting it up at a point in this country where we've got to start asking what the hell is real good really going on I can't tell you a morning where I woke up truly it just with feeling everything around me that's in front of our face every day it was harder to see the good like that's just how I felt this morning the good the good is getting harder to find every day and that's because the bad is being pushed in front of our face so much whether it's the cove it whether it's now this it's finding that balance of where we fit into that to not feed into you know as what we do not feeding into it not feeding into the divide in trying to figure out if the device is manufactured right and the way you're feeling is that the result of manipulation is that exactly how they want you to feel well you think about okay so you hear the phrase all the time you are what you eat what is it how is it any different to consume media that's constantly negative are constantly feeding your soul this internal dialogue of fear or hatred or just frustration and which we live in so we're constantly inundated by that and it changes our perception on reality seven two seven five seven nine one oh two five I would love to talk to people next to have a good explanation about who bro a man is who he works for it cetera I've seen Soros rumors I've seen antifa rumors I've seen everything and it doesn't seem like the umbrella man was completely isolated there are pictures of guys dressed a lot like him setting fires at the target there's videos of guys that wouldn't pre cut the fencing around the precinct that burned down last night so I don't know where half where these people came from or what their goal is but I do think there is more than just people fighting injustice at work personally and I've seen a kid but I don't want to call it conspiracy theory anymore because I think that's almost like that nothing wrong something so I want to say it an idea because I'm not ready shut anything out right now I something I saw something on Facebook about the murder of George Floyd about the murder.

"Sounds so good that is so crisp that is so clean it was like something right out of Scott Stapp studio I am a man bounced out of the box with a hop a skip again if a pitcher here were to see that Machado would get when it is here in his next at bat the man it's good here that's out again good shot again and good to know that it happened in a game a real game not a virtual game Amanda the giant seventy dot because believe me no one anywhere is forgetting how disastrous there twenty nineteen season was no one's forgetting how much money they threw at it last year only to end up in last place I feel like that's all anybody ever talk about on the show now the underachieving giants in the KBO what a horrible year they had in the chase that with what the fact or the foreign players Adrian Sampson is stuck here in the U. S. unable to enter Korea and when he does yes we quarantine for three more weeks many factor that in got a real problem so if ever there was a team that needed an opening day win it was the giants and they got it all and you check out the lawn mower comp in the twins bears game guys already a legend he's already got that nickname because of the strike call the looks like he's trying to start a rusted out lawn mower it's got punches out guys with anger and authority I wish I had the audio to play for you but there's no audio they can even do this got justice it's a visual thing and if you haven't had a chance to see him in action you need to set an alarm because this guy is punching batters out like like well a freaking lawnmower I can go on for days I could do an entire show on this opening day the KBO because I literally can't go anywhere now without somebody asking me Hey Rome Rome who's your favorite K. B. O. team so you ever talk about anyway Rome so give it up who is your favorite KBO team to which I respond once again with I do not route yes I've always had mad respect for the Tigers how can you not and nobody was more pumped than I was when the eagles finally did break through and win a title in nineteen ninety nine but when it comes to K. B. O. ball I try to play right down the middle no I'm not gonna be like a lot of you Johnny come lately he's trying to jump on the KBO bandwagon and pick a team because you think it's cool that's not me I'm not gonna come in here make some whacked declaration about how this is a lion's house or than I really am all about the windows in the way they develop their young talent nor my going to be that guy who picks the Dinos just because of their awesome mascots although I have been talking down is based on the show for years going back to Eric same's when he came on look I'm not gonna brag norm I'll look to make it about me I'm gonna play it right down the middle I paid not to route so I'm not going to route normal gonna make any predictions on the season because as always nothing good comes from making predictions if you're wrong and you get hammered well you're right nobody gives a damn so much for making predictions and certainly not based off of one game just because the eagles started the season with a three nothing shutout of the wyverns does not mean they're on the road to a title just as it doesn't mean that the wyverns and their analytics heavy approach to the game is wrong and it's only one game it is just one game if I've said it once I've said it one million times it is a long one hundred and forty four game season and you cannot win a title in may but damn it feels good at baseball back it feels good to have the K. P. O. back and it feels awesome to say let's play ball it's game dare Madison Gladys gets back to what they do best K. B. all man that sounds great all right somebody's going to get you but I had to get there first it just feels so good at baseball I want to talk about that clip that went viral Mike Tyson if fifty three hitting the pads my man is still got that power he still has speed he still has that ferocity now it's only pads and body pads it's not in the ring against other fighter doing the same thing to him but my show me something and I wanna talk about what we do with that one eight hundred six three six eight six eight six if you're watching the last dance you see Mike Tyson or Mike Jordan Thai statue would apply but I'm talking about Jordan he's cold blooded you hear what he says you see our thanks I think I may have found the equivalent and his equivalent in that regard might be wanna were none other than Diana Taurasi one of the best quarantine shows around is the one hosted by Instagram live or on Instagram live by sue bird and Megan Rapinoe they all got nice four hours but nobody got nicer than to Rossi as some of the best mac I've ever heard in my life when we get that for you off the board since we are in the midst of the corona virus I can take certain liberties I got update on Tom Cruise math apparently still wants to get after it in air but in space right that's right mavs N. E. lawn mosque yet about that math we'll get to later on things I didn't get to yesterday the other half of the last dance Andy Dalton going the cowboys I still want to get into that Mitch Trubisky not getting his fifth year option picked up and where does that leave him and the bears and I would love to get some qualified for the smack off it is June nineteenth forty five days out and again forty five days does not mean forty five shows it means forty five days stock not sent he tweets three more days into the K. B. O. expert James Kelly's in studio Hey not did you not hear me open zero more seconds into the KBO expertise in the studio.

"More robust that might be controversial statement I don't know what I can see Roger this is a it would either be Chris Stapleton or Scott Stapp of creed where the water so yeah that's one of the things we're talking about today is there a call comes in his press briefing the governor's press briefing today and how he's getting together with other governors of neighboring states and talking about a possible slow rollout or an emerging re opening of the economy which is something that we have been begging to hear about for weeks I I I'm not I'm tired here and what we can't do I'm tired of hearing about where we can't go on my let's talk about a solution that getting this economy back up and running and people back to work and what was a little disheartening for me and maybe I'm just being picky here and that's fine it took a reporter to ask him that question for him to kind of bring it up and talk about it like when you watch these press briefings on the national level Donald Trump brings it up he wants to open things up he's telling you his daughter what he wants to do it takes a reporter from some publication in Indiana ask our governor about that before you get anything like I think he's mentioned it here and there over the past couple days but I think it's been more on the forefront lately you know we had an increase in the number of cases of positive cases of covert nineteen today although the last few days I mean it wasn't increase but the last few days were over Easter weekend in those those numbers could have been a little deceiving as low as they were right so and unfortunately you're getting a lot of nursing home numbers being turned in now because of the long term care facilities they've been rough twenty seven percent of the deaths in Indiana have came from a long term care facilities so they come from long term health health facilities and I not only that but it's there's a lot of cases of the workers there as well it is spread so quickly and easily in those facilities and that's where we really have to figure out how to protect the most vulnerable victims of this disease whether it's it's the elderly elderly was several underlying current conditions co morbidity that's something and we don't know the info relating to underlying conditions in terms of deaths in the state testing still needs to be ramped up substantially this is a huge thing antibody testing who has had it who has an immunity to it and I don't think doctor box is very happy with the amount of tests that have been done thus far on the in the state it's getting better but it's not where she wants to it's not where it should be and and the more testing we do I think the more idea will have with of when we can start walking around and and not having to wonder whether or not you know I hate getting dirty looks because I'm not wearing a mask over my face as critical as we have been of these press briefings and some of the things the governor does or doesn't do I do think doctor box has been rock solid in this entire process has Samantha fox you know their name all man back in the eighties smoke on the water naughty girls need love too one.

"Sharp and Shapiro. That's how we roll on this show. Right. We have like a rock legend in studio lead, singer, Scott stapp. And then we just move on and talk about school shootings. See we, we just switch from topic. What a great segue go from creed to school shootings. But hey, hey, that's what we do here coming up at the bottom of the hour is going to be a lot of fun. I always love talking to former runnin rebels and Jerome Segers played on the team. It was actually gave rises last year or half year drums going to be joining us, not just going to talk to you and all the hoops. We're also going to promote he's got a basketball camp coming up here in Las Vegas. He calls Vegas home. So drama be joining us by haven't talked to in a while since he played here. It's been a few years so drama be joining us here in just a little bit. So JD. We haven't talked about Paul Manafort, in a, while the scumbag, who was Donald Trump's campaign manager for a little while. We cannot wait for this conversation. You know, he was in the pen where do you think he is right now probably still in the pen where where Alaska? He was just transported to Rikers island. And a lot of people are up in arms over this because let's, let's call this for what it is. And I agree with some people that are that are shrugging their shoulders. Like, what the hell's going on here, Rikers island seems a pit abusive and maybe illegal these are these are really hard core series criminals at records island. Let's call it for what it is. I'm not saying Paul Manafort didn't commit serious crimes, but he didn't murder somebody. They certainly weren't any violent stuff going on. It was financed stuff. It was money, illegal money, exchanging hands. It was money longer that sort of thing. He was sentenced earlier this year to reicher's out for the worst of that's what I'm saying. And Paul Manafort at Rikers island, some pretty bad things about Paul Manafort, on the show Brian, he's a scumbag, I've said some bad things about Donald Trump to, I think he's a scumbag also, but I never called Donald Trump a murderer. So put it this way, if Donald Trump the second hold on a second. If if Donald Trump. Is that a pest, I went I went to seven eleven today and I bought this, we mentioned Donald Trump. Okay, I bought this, Donald Trump talking, it looks like a peasant. I will trade you a sign PJ also burger yet. I'm not telling you don't interrupt Donald Trump. Okay. That's my favorite one never forget seven eleven. I, I love this thing, I'm gonna play it show. That's what I'm gonna do. It's it looks like a little. It's a Penn actually, and he's got like boxing gloves on. And you press a button and the glove throws a punch. That you will clue that to the dash of your car. There's enough fungus and all that other stuff on my car. I wouldn't even subject on Trump fit in pretty well. I would not even subject Donald Trump to that Trump. Trust me, trust me. I wouldn't do that. Trust me. But if Trump would be incarcerated in the next four to five years post. So he does he doesn't win and twenty twenty. Where would you like to see him across rated at Brian? Probably Rikers island to be honest with you Manafort, Trump and Michael Cohen what, what's the jail that that's been closed for a while in San Francisco? The what is it called Alcatraz Alcatraz? That's right. Where they the movie, the rock and all that stuff. I would want him to Alcatraz by himself. I would want them to reopen Alcatraz and let them go in there. But seriously though, this is. He was he would throw a huge party there. This is bizarre, though, this isn't this bizarre. Paul manafort. Okay. You would think he would be going to federal prison. Right. Or a place where we're we're Michael Cohen is gone, right? Paul Manafort writers island. He's gonna get his ass kit there. These are really he's probably going to be in solitary over there. This is not a place to play around folks, some of the worst criminals in the country or Rikers island. I mean I, I don't know. Man, I I'm a little surprised at this one I'm going to be honest with you. And I'm not quite I cannot believe I might defend Paul Manafort, but I think I'm going to defend him here doesn't he have attorneys. How do they allow this to happen? How? How is it that Paul manafort's out with some of the worst relied to know who made this decision, and I'd like to know why these are two federal cases? He was sentenced to solitary confinement to, I guess you could call it a dangerous hellhole. I mean, that's what Rikers island is. But this is this is this is surprising to me. Why was Manafort move there? I wanna know he's already been indicted on multiple state charges. And for that he cannot if convicted be pardoned by President Trump and his state trials certainly not imminent. Why isn't he allowed and I can't believe I'm defending Paul Manafort. Why isn't he allowed to await that trial in the federal facility? Where he was sentenced, and then he could be transferred to New York. You know, maybe on the eve of his state trial that, that to me that would make sense. This makes absolutely. I mean look, the bottom line is the people that did this. They're obviously not Manafort people. They're not Trump people. I consider this to be wrong. So not good. It seems to me like this is a selective application, so to speak of the law possibly for partisan purposes and again, and I cannot believe that I'm defending ball Manafort, here. But I am he has no business being there that the people that should be at Rikers island are the rapists, murderers, the scum of the earth, right? The worst criminals in the country. The people that kill others. Like example, like you know if you had someone that's gotten thirty DUI's. I wouldn't even want them at Rikers island, even if they got forbid killed some people because they got drunk, I still wouldn't want them records island. I don't consider that a violent criminal. It's a serious crime, but whenever we're talking about money, finances. That type of crime white collar crime. I guess I would call it. That, that's where you want your tax dollars spent. You want Paul Manafort, to be hanging out with the gangsters, and the, the murderers, rapists. And all that is, is that what we want is a country. They're saying that he's going to get absolutely no special treatment there. And he's going to be held isolation. Is that what who said that? That's what it says. I don't know. Man. He's an older guy this if he stays there for five ten years and is not treated very well, that, that's going to be, there's going to be a lot of potential white collar criminals who are going to think before they make criminal acts moving forward. Let's just put a hypothetical. Let's move this forward because that's what we do. Politicians bankers lawyers, anybody who is who is, who is perceived to be in a high position will think twice. Let me give you a hypothetical his what? What, what if couple hard-nosed criminals murderers, and I look, I don't want this to happen. Don't send me emails, but I'm giving a very bad hypothetical. What if somebody murders him behind bars Rikers island, they kind of like what happened to Whitey Bolger? Yeah. Couple couple months, Bolger was a murder. Okay. We're talking about a guy who broke some finance laws and, and tax evasion and money stuff. We're talking about money laundering whose, whose net worth, I believe, is still north of fifty million dollars. He's, he's not exactly a poor man by any stretch even if he is in solitary confinement. You just said it yourself, not get any special treatment. So what if somebody decides to I don't know stabbed him with a pen? I don't know. I'm just putting up if that happens. Then who's liable here. I mean, this is what why I cannot believe we're talking about this, that man should not be in that prison. I'm not saying he deserves to be in a resort either. But writers island, are you kidding me? I mean, this is this is reserved for terrorists and violent criminals. This is this is serious stuff here. I can tell you what I can I would make a hefty hefty wager that a person on the Republican side of things did not make this decision. I'll tell you made this decision and who's defending it New York district attorney Cyrus, Vance remember that movie Conair, by the way, I loved, it Cyrus the virus the virus John Malkovich. Anyway, Cyrus Vance has justified this transfer by saying, this is yes. This is a cliche, but he said it he said, no one is above the law. We agree nobody's about the law. But what does that have to do with this decision that has nothing to do with this decision? This is complete and utter nonsense. Ego driven decision by this Justice who and if something happens Paul Manafort. He should be held liable. I mean, let's be honest. Paul Manafort has zero business being anywhere near Rikers island. He shouldn't be there. And he, he is at risk. He's definitely at risk. I wonder and again, I hope I hope this doesn't happen. But I wonder what is going to happen? He's going to be seen by other inmates. I can't imagine there's too many inmates at Rikers island that are, are wearing their maggots. How many people Rikers island you think voted for Donald Trump? No. Seriously? How many what percentage of people do you think are Trump supporters be honest? I'm going to say. Maybe twelve percent. I don't think and that's a stretch. Now it went away for mortgage fraud. Yeah. And tax and Bank fraud. I mean that is like laughing at this because it's so utterly ridiculous. That is the pit Amee of white collar. We'll take a couple of calls on this. I mean I'm laughing because this is so ridiculous number to call you. What do you think about this? Paul Manafort going to Rikers island today, the number to call is two five seven five three nine six seven zero two two five seven five three nine six. If you want to be a part of the show place was once it was once actually described as quote unquote, the worst place on earth. Rikers island. Yes, I believe it. And now Paul Manafort, a guy who had millions of dollars was Trump's campaign manager is now going to be having a nice little free stay there for about five or six years he's going to be held at a prison hospital with other high profile detainees. Two.
