Counties surrounding Philadelphia working 24/7 to count mail ballots as presidential outcome remains unknown

"Pennsylvania would be a key player in all this. And it certainly is shaping up that way. Tonight in Philadelphia, K Y W Reporter J. Scott Smith is joining us Live again. What's the latest from your vantage point down there? J. So far, it's been It's been a pretty, Ah has been kind of the same as we've been updating throughout the night. We're during today. Here on Election Day. Turnout was huge across the entire commonwealth, but especially in Philly in the Philly suburbs. We heard from Philadelphia City Councilwoman Carol Parker, who was really ecstatic about this. I have never felt the sense of urgency and enthusiasm and excitement and commitment that I felt on the streets today of the city of Philadelphia, and particularly in my area where the world leader in the war people came out today on a mission now, Unfortunately, the mission may not be accomplished for awhile. At least five Pennsylvania counties won't even begin counting absentee or mail in ballots until tomorrow. Sorrow and court rulings allow a three day extension across Pennsylvania, and the race is too early to call. Trump currently has a lead. But there's 350,000 mail in ballots in Philadelphia alone, and not even a third of those have been counted nor a lot of votes in the Philly suburbs. Kevin Greenberg is a top election lawyer here in Pennsylvania. And he had this to say about that. He thinks this will play out, but I think it's safe to say turnout was very, very high in both red and blue areas. Election law lawyers favorite saying is I hope that we win by enough that I don't have to get involved. I think we're all sort of watching carefully to see Afford a or north or Ah, North Carolina bails out tonight, but otherwise it's going to be a long week. These ballots counted probably through Friday and and it does look like a least Friday. Hopefully not that long, but it could be his latest Friday before we hear anything. There've been a few issues in the state Western P A had a brief power outage in every county, Butler County near Pittsburgh. Is that a ballot scanning issue that won't be picked up till tomorrow morning, But As we've been saying all night Governor Tom Wolfe and the secretary of state Kathy Book, far been asking everyone to be patient. That's what we're trying to do out here. Alright, J.

"We should have Scott Smith on ask him. Yeah which. He would know that answer I bet you. But here's the thing is the team. What's the reality whether? Well, the team really come to Ryan Griffin and say, Hey, we're GonNa put you on practice squad but don't worry. We're GONNA take care of you. We're GONNA we're. GonNa pay you your regular deal or is it a hey, we're GONNA WE'RE WE'RE GONNA move over to practice squad and here's the offer try to. Because we've seen the, let's face it. We've seen the buccaneers like try to play the game with people before and I i. don't know what they would do you know and as Scott it's unfair to the players. So I want to think that they would just give him his contract and tell them not to worry about it. You know. But maybe they can't because what if it does count against the fifty one it might it might end Mike and if you're Ryan Smith like guy I did it too right. WHO's Ryan Smith? If you're buddy. Nobody I'm like I might get eyelash away from Following the guy on Instagram I swear it's the worst follow. Really Oh. Yeah. It's all about like you know if people are holding you back dump you know if if you know. If you're making changes and people don't like it there whenever your real friends anyway and it's been going for like three years. Hey, listen Ryan Ryan's the lone holdout from the twenty sixteen draft. He's the only thing making that whole draft class like not completely a bust and I think they might still be completely about St- and I could argue that point to. Practice squad go ahead, practice squad where we. It's it's and I want to clarify. It's not that we care about practice squad because those are the like those are not the guys that are going to be playing the game except this year it really could be sometimes. Yeah. That's why you get to protect four right right. So. Know we're just trying to figure out like where the Balance Act of not screwing the player over like is is being. So here, here's really the question we're trying to figure out is being on the practice squad. Is it better to be one of the four protected players each week or not? Again I think it goes back to whatever contract you have worked out with the bucks right? That's avenue. That's it. Right and if you're right spence like like. Fight. I. Do you fight to not be protected like, Hey, look this. What if this continues on next year because it works so great and all the teams like it. People, do like the third string quarterback or the fifth cornerback or the fifth tight end when they signed their contract or they start putting in bars is that they cannot be one of the four. You'll see those agents will find the work around the agents will. Definitely. So. But practice squad the the other thing really that we talked about quite a bit was are and when we talk about stashing guys. I wanted to say this when Scott was here but I didn't let's make no bones about it. The League still stashes people on. The bucks to it all the time we have seen it over the course of our five years of of covering this team just in our time the bug here still oh I'm sorry nick folk your finger hurts right? I know you're kicker but your finger hurts right go sit on I. R I wasn't finger but you know what I mean now that was a that was he was cut but they can't release them until he's healthy. I know that's More of like along those lines, what you're saying we'll be similar like Dakota. Dixon. Last year okay fair enough. Equity, pulled Gammy. Yeah. where he pulled his Hammy like two weeks training camp and they went you're going on I R why? Well because you're probably if you make the team, we think can't but you're not gonNA play at all as a safety. So we slippy on I are you can stick with the team and learn and come back and have a much better chance of competing a starting position next year or you can cut you can maybe you can go somewhere else but I'm telling you we like you we're giving you a redshirt year. They did that for him data for Kenny Bell back in the day you know yeah. So training campus is the place where if you see these You know undrafted free agents or rookies. You know if the bucks think they have a future Maldini is a paper cut and they put them on I r and you could bring the rule has been. You could bring two guys back after we ten those week they can start practicing at week eight, but they can play after week ten right specific. Yeah. Yeah. But that's all out the window right now because this year because a co bid, you can bring many flares up and down as you want to. Be. It's however long the injury is projected plus three weeks. Yeah. So telling you, you're going to short change your projection on those injuries. Yeah. You're just like. He's going are how long injury day to day? Tomorrow plus three weeks got yes. Exactly. I wasn't joking when I said you're going to see a lot of one week injuries in this league going I understand what you met didn't ski because I think our minds both let the same way like well, why don't dislike knock three so what the injury is, it's like it's a Hammy it'll take five weeks. Okay. You're out eight don't WANNA be five so you say to. Get. I mean Scott's point like everybody starts doing one week injuries or too week injuries that's going to be fishy there. It's not GONNA fly like they're going to get. That's what Scott was trying to say they're gonNa fix you know and also think that's why it's a three week period for cove it because a because with the hip laws like you can't prove the guy. Positive for Kobe right. You can't prove to everybody else. So you know I think that's why it's three weeks. So there's someone you'll you like on your roster, but like you can't help you to like chiefs game like I really we need this guy for the chiefs game he's really GonNa, help us in the chiefs game in our defense so into slap them on the On the but you know we just lost him to linebacker got bring them up and he's a guy that's got to go. We'll just put them on code for a week and then bring it back and and hopefully that linebacker we back and we'll be ready to see. This is why I was asking my question was of like they're so many working parts of. This do what you're winning. Why they who the patrol was I didn't I did not say patrol that was not the question. My question was who who is in there saying we're like working out how to do all that and when he said Greenberg. He's the director of player personnel or something that right I mean we know he does the CAP, but like and it gets very offended when you think that's all he does is salary cap yeah Greenberg. Sure Oh. Yeah. He'll love to come on. Why because we've done nothing but praise Mike, Greenberg on the show for the last. True. That's true. I almost said that when we were talking to Scott brought a Greenberg's name I was like we're big fans of that. Guy? If. You want to spread around the building for us go right ahead. We'll send him a beauty just because. Votes from one from Brennan. And our secret category winner. but yeah. So the thing I found very interesting and it'll it'll be interesting to watch how the buccaneers used this over the course of the season. Yeah it's GONNA be. The holy require yeah. There's this is going to be a four. D. Chess of healthy players, fake healthy players, virus players, fake virus players, practice squad like this is all going to be very I mean, let's face it. The Patriots are going to be good at it. Right? I have like four all pros on their practice squad just just waiting. Back to the salary cap question, right? Right. Exactly is your practice squad GonNa. Count. If they're a top fifty, one contract against your cap. Yeah. Because if it doesn't just sign cloudy and put them on your practice squad, right? Yeah. We'll pay you ten million dollars to go to practice squad. On the practice squad..

"He is the host of that will be the host of training camp live I think is what they're calling it Live So Scott Smith coming in Ren let let's break some of this stuff down first. Let's go to. Some of the technical things I'm sorry. Let me back up first of all Scots always a great guest GATT he's always he's always good to come on in especially when you need hey, there's stuff to me exactly Scotus the guy? Explain. This to me please what's going on and some of the things that he said and there were a couple of questions to ask like where we talked about the Kobe list and he said the minimum was on there is three weeks and I guess you know we've been told many many many times that sort of a quarantine island is to you know, and then we saw basically the whole running back room get it and they're all back within two weeks right but I think. It's three or two or something like that. But if you have like two negative tests. Separated by three days or something then? Also goes something I. Didn't. It's. It's something weird best what I heard? No. No. Scott say that no got no. This is what came out in the rules like like between the NFL and the PA unless it's changed, it might have changed since then I don't know that was my impression. Let me let me just clarify that that was my impression. That's what I've been operating I. think that was for people entering the facility. The first time was when you tried to get in and if you if you tested positive that instead of you could either wait two weeks but if you've got to. Basically to negative tests in a row then you get to go back in or go in for the first time who knows who knows. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter at this point. It doesn't matter at this point, and if you still have questions about it, just go ahead and hit up Scott Smith on twitter. You really is. Yeah. He is plus you know you can do the mailbag. You can find you know instagram if you follow buccaneer grammy tender question there, and then you send question at the salty dogs email address, which is the one he you know he runs that goes directly to him. So there's a bunch of ways to get in front of the Scottish is what did you find interesting about our conversation the will to go to the are I mean the practice squad the well no, let's go there. Actually I the idea that you can literally stash people in practice squad this year right unimpeded for week for yeah. And and. You can't have the same person twice in a row or something like that. No. That was that was up for Game Day. That's also really interesting Oh. Yeah. Yeah. It's like the fifty three man rousers expanded like the fifty five or something is the. Seventh Offensive Lineman. Or Eighth Offensive Lineman, but you can't pick the same guy, two weeks in a row and you can never be the same guy twice or it was drained our that one I'm going to have to look into. That was really why the it has to be the extra of linemen. One of the to like what that was the one I think that made me go why I think here's a here's my here's my theory on that is because that they're trying, of course. With the NFL always trying to protect the quarterback and we saw it happened to Washington the year we played them where they came in and played us they beat US still but they had three brand new offensive lineman and you've seen like games on Sunday night or Monday night and see like two offensive lineman go down and announcers like wealth. One more guy goes down like they don't have enough pig they don't have enough guys to feel it and that's sort of what is like. Having that eighth offensive Lineman is really sort of a safety net plus with covert, and they're such a tight group of all the groups off a football field. Those are the guys that cannot social distant A wide receivers are next to each other all the time like defensive line linebackers, any quarterback, any of them he can social distance even while you're playing the game until you except for except for offense of Lyman nobody else those are distant from each other. Mike, Evans, never has to stand within six feet of Chris Guy when during the game you know but those five guys do so I think that goes into it a little bit as well. But training camp we're not supreme anything practice squad. Yeah. I think Ryan Griffin is going to be Mr protected. So here's the thing and this is if they can stash him on practice squad except I asked to accept. Okay. Pay Him his contract, right? Okay. That's means the simplest thing to do. We're going to practice squad so we can free up a roster spot, but we're going to protect you and we're going to give you the same salary. There's no reason Ryan Smith not to do Ryan Smith for for Ryan Griffin not to do that heard talk about and I don't know how serious he is of putting a quarterback in a bubble, right? Like you just stay away don't come to the facility don't just don't get covid whatever you do your yard designated survivor. But I I was thinking while Scott was here talking to us. But I'd be surprised if they actually did that to Ryan Griffin but the more I've thought about it as long as they're gonNA pay him whatever he would normally make anyway. Then fine. What I'd be really interested to know now though is, how does that impact the salary cap like if you shuffle somebody to the practice squad but there are one of your top fifty, two or fifty, three, fifty, one I think it's top fifty, one contracts that. Count against the salary cap does that count if it's a practice squad guy? Yeah. That sets the question. No, like we So taking these four guys which you know Scott talked about seems a little unfair that you could protect every week that other teams can't come after put on their fifty three man roster for three weeks, which would be because a sally the minimum for a practice squad guys eight, thousand dollars a week it is much more for. Three weeks on an NFL team, it's more than eight thousand dollars. Minimum Game Check is about twenty, eight, thousand dollars. There you go see and you do that times three that's. A little less than eighty, six, thousand dollars Aso Eight, six, thousand dollars three weeks were not bad not bad work and get it. So protecting these guys from picked up to go with somebody else and be put on the fifty three man roster seems a little mean. But if you can give him twenty, eight, thousand dollars a week like they would anywhere else or a little more like it can work out it's not the worst gig in the world. But that is the question is that because as you alluded to the salary cap only counts as the fifty one highest paid players on your roster if one of those players. Happens to be practice squad guy does that count against sit or is your sort of this kind of unlimited? You know no snowcap spe soft cap baseball type of cap space based on the practice squad. Right?.

Found something good and couldn't keep my mouth shut. There it is. There it is. Training Camp Coverage Is. Terrible. It's it's different this year it's different. You know we've been talking about it for weeks ought to be talking about we've been trying to talk about it more from from honestly fan aspect like we're experiencing training camp and I think the long and short of it is ran. We're not training camps that like the season is like a month away it was less than twenty twenty seven days is. Like it doesn't feel like it everything put on pads yet. And it's no one's fault and actually I had a really good conversation about. The media's role and Should have they fought for more access and and those type of things which apparently like I'm the only one who cares about it, I've asked like three people like. But with our special guests, I had a very conversation about that off air, but we brought him on. To talk about sort of these new rule changes that are happening to the practice squad. On the I. R.. Yeah. So there's lots of new wrinkles that are going to pop up and. We brought the expert on to help us, and of course, you guys understand what's going to go on when the season starts right and then and then with that the Tampa Bay. buccaneers are also changing up how they're doing and covering training as pads come on today as this releases, and so we're going to talk to him a little bit about that. Of course, we went to somebody we want to guy inside the building 'cause we've got the connection here three. Here, at in. There is a great question about his tier. level. That we got in there but we're, of course, we're talking about Scott Smith senior editor buccaneers, dot com host of insiders live host. The salty dogs podcast longest tenured member of the buccaneers staff except for gale, who works at the reception desk. I don't know if that's right or not. But. Right, right. We're we're still hanging out. You know we had our Peter Castle awards back in January, and typically you know once that occurs we get them sent out we get the made in, and then by the time we get them to to Tampa to to the facility. It's. March. And there was a few delays which pushed it back like a couple of weeks and then cove it hit and that pushed everything back to like late June early July and frankly I. I haven't been that. We just haven't been down there because I was gonna say home we went to training camp. Well, we're not going to training camp. You know, yes, we are here seventeen that's being generous. I think rent no, I looked around. Well listen better than eighteen. There's two more tiers eighteen like saints fans. Then there's one, thousand, nine, hundred and everybody else Elephant Dung and then panthers fans and then being. A Red That is that's what we do. We're GONNA, Talk Saad Smith right here on the other side of the break. We got Scott who's going to become an end. So you guys I will be here for that and then rented I. Hey folks welcome day special episode of the Projection Booth, I Mike. White and on this episode I am talking with Screenwriter Scott, Smith about the new movie, the burnt Orange Heresy if you have listened to the projection booth over the years you know that I'm very big fan of the writer Charles Wilford. We've done episodes about Miami Blues and the Woman Chaser and will also be doing one eventually on the film cockfighting, which was also based on one of his novels. When I wrote about Charles Wolford back in the Gosh, probably late nineties was a very daunting task because we'll avert is one of to me one of the greatest writers and to write about a writer to a little bit of self prodding to finally get that going. going. Through all of his books he covers a lot of similar subjects. He has some very interesting characters. You know we talked about junior in my blues this sociopath and the main character of burnt orange heresy is very much cut from the same cloth burnt orange heresy takes into account. WOLFORD's love. Art. He is able to take that and grafted onto one of his stories about a sociopath. In this case, it is high mayfield wetness, a Puerto Rican American art critic who. Goes on a very plum assignment for an editor to interview a reclusive artist and steal one of his paintings. I won't say much more than that because I really encourage everyone within the sound of my voice to read that book it is one of my favorite Wolford's. It's a little bit different than some of the other things that he did, which were more straight up crime novels. This is very, very fascinating stuff. The movie doesn't work I think so I was not able to see the best copy in the world because. This movie it was probably released at the worst time. You could possibly release a movie in the twenty first century so far it was released limited. In I think just la maybe New York as well. March? Fifth. Two Thousand Twenty, it was sent closed because all of the movie theaters have closed the last report that I read had it opening August seventh I hope that it doesn't open that day because I don't think that things will be safe enough to open movies there. Maybe it'll get a video d. release who knows what the future of this movie is when I wrote about Wolford, like I was saying, there was talk of an adaptation of burnt orange chair see all the way back then. So it is sticking a Lotta years for this. The finally hit the screen I found it interesting that our main character was changed to a British person instead of a Puerto Rican American but yet he still kept the same name. So that was a little bit off putting just because I had forgotten in my head but I enjoyed the performance of our main actor, some of the. Attitudes towards women are little outdated. But I, think that Smith has updated them quite a bit from where they were and I want to say he's seventy one when the book came out and also because we'll is writing from a sociopathic point of view. Everyone is just kind of there for nurses amusement. They don't feel necessary like real people, but I think that's very much his interpretation of the World Not Smith but our main characters. I would recommend that you check that out. Definitely, check out the book I. Hope You enjoy the center view. Stay safe. Were you always a writer? Did you always love to write? I like in a way that you like stuff to. Different subjects in school or something, but I didn't really imagine myself making a living doing it i. don't think it seemed like a feasible option. The. Knicks workshops in college and after college and it started to seem like something maybe I could do somewhere you always writing fiction. Yeah. The reader I think that that was as much as anything you know when I was a kid, I definitely was a big reader. was both a simple plan and the ruins out before a simple plan movie or was it a simple plan book and then a simple plan movie simplify book, and then it actually took I think they were five years of a new director every year with the movie, which was a great sort of education in screenwriting because I got to work with Mike Nichols, Ben Stiller, John Doll John Gorman and then Sam ringing it was bad luck. It was you know good luck and along was that adapting your own work when you Mike Nichols option did I met with him? She was just super sweet generous guy. I. Was the shy kid really and I I like tongue-tied I could barely talk. He said, I'll just you know the feels very celtic just go off and put the manuscript in screenplay form and you'll be fine and I did that and I had like two hundred, ninety page script. And I think he he was like Oh my God I didn't even know how to talk to this kid and he brought in Ben Stiller really taught me how to write a script I feel like working with him. Matane, then a little later after. He disappeared in all up here or works for a while with Scott Rooting Pretty Sir and I learned a ton from him. Also, how was it working with same remy on the final film? It was great. You're actually came on and he likes Ben Stiller draft, which was a little closer to the book and and the Billy Bob Character died halfway through the movie rather than at. The end and Billy Bob was already attached at that point Bob. Woods. Posts Swing glade seems other. Only reason anyone was giving us money to make the movie we met with Billy Bob, and he kind of took the script you laid them out and he paged through one to where he died and he pitched these other where he died. He's like Kinda Kinda WanNa live till the end. So. We ended up doing the latter job but sounds great. He's he's a Michigan, native funny and self deprecating story and. Just gave me a false sense of how easy and pleasant making a movie can be I mean it must be so interesting for you to not only do as simple plan, but then too I mean I can't say turn around because of his another ten years before the ruins came out but to also adapt yourself for the ruins I've been very lucky and that was actually end stiller who met with simple plan. She was the one who option ruins. So I wrote that script for for him, which is Great. Opportunity. How is it to? Have to kill your babies when it comes to taking out things to make a screen story I'd always been okay with you. Other adaptations you know haven't been made I did a a Richard Stark now called backslash which is a lot of fun. I just finished Tim O'Brien. The things they carried, which is Vietnam more story. Went through stretch, rose out scripts for. COMPANY NONE OF WHICH ENDED UP GETTING MAY Some of those who are to add up tensions also I always kind of felt like you have to break it and then rebuild it and that's true with with burnt orange there's a lot. It's not in the book, but I hope that the essence of the book you know remains and animated movie. How familiar were you with Charles Welford as brighter. Not Super New his name I think I'd read talks I see the cockfighting. Longtime. Ago I'd seen Miami Blues which I liked a lot actually one of the producers on an ordinance that was his first movie that he worked at Bill Burr..

It's another operation reinvention call. It's zoom call and joy and I my wife get on the phone we check in with your all over the world. I got on the phone and called a friend of mine. I have a few people that are on the favorites list. In the beginning my favorites list on my iphone was was my family. Pretty much family do many friends on there. Just might just my family kids things like that. And then Over time I recognize calling some folks And checking in on a more regular basis. I'M GONNA ask you to. My favorite list was a big deal to get on my favorite. This it's like being on my friends list on facebook. It's not too many over there. I keep kind of lean got picky about that stuff. Big Your friends have to support me and I have to support them. Anything in between is really not worth dealing with so called my friend. He lives in Connecticut to travel the world. We talk occasionally. He's a he's a coachie coach. Kinda guy always on the road always traveling always studying now. He's getting sparked by talking to him. We we often will save the problems. We'll solve the problems of the world and save the world in one one phone call. It's pretty easy so I called up actually to see if we could solve the problems of the world over the course of this phone call. I thought why not you know it's going to a slower than I would like so maybe I can actually put her mind to it and say we can do so. I called him up and he picked up the phone. I asked why said Wolf. Hey what are you doing to save the world? Yeah somewhat joking. But his answer really didn't surprise me. He said well literally. I only watch twenty minutes of TV a day. That's at twenty minutes of news a day. I can stay in touch. They'd give kind of goes he rift on me said because I find that if I watch any more than that I lose my productivity. It's impossible to watch that news and a have any any sense of what you really want to do. I'm with him on that by the way and he says I write. I get my work. Done helped my kids with school in general doing pretty much everything to stay grounded. Keyword there grounded. You're looking at picked up the phone. I knew I was at that point. He's busy I'm part of that day. Right he said how how about you what are you doing. Well told him that he was looking at decided to call them in the first place. Because I'm kind of in the same spot I don't initiate anything. That's GonNa bring drama into my life particularly with my drama. My life is drama right now. All of our lives drama right now and I'm pretty much the same except playing with dogs and kids. Alpacas will I refuse to let this crazy carousel of life? That most folks writing right now to become my right of choice not going to happen. You talk for a while. Actually talked for two hours covered every conceivable topic. You could imagine now. I don't think we actually saved the world. I'm really not sure yet. Haven't seen the result. May it may happen. It may happen because you want you start thinking and talking and it gets out kind of into the ether in the universe before you know it's out there and then people start hearing what you've been thinking and they talk taking action which you will you know how all that works right just a cool conversation putting some thoughts and thoughts very powerful things and they get out to the most powerful thing in the world or your thoughts and when you put them out there my goodness you start acting differently and people people start reacting to you differently. Don't they it Kinda feel something? You don't really know exactly what's going on but then something's going on so they. Kinda WANNA hang out a little bit or maybe an idea POPs in their head in the middle of the night in a dream. They don't even know why who knew. It was because I decided to interrupt my friends day and call him and see how he was doing and just chat about how to how solve all the problems of the world now will admit back in the day about twenty five years ago. I used to do it over a bunch of beer. I'd go into a city and meet a friend so it's got to have some beer and save the world that never worked back then. This one may have a little bit more power so I don't think we did but but I think we are. Certainly working on on. Saving ourselves are we. I reaching out by having that conversation. Are You doing that? Or you're reaching out to people around your those conversations it's crazy how this crazy agenda-driven world that we're in right now it's crazy how we are isolated in a way that is blocking us again at the same time we're able to reach out and plug into the simple joys of life. Are you doing that right now? Are you finding a way to plug into the things that just makes sense to you? Are you working with those kids? Are you baking cookies? Are you working in the yard? I've been to home depot recently. I'll tell you what there's a lot of y'all work in the yard because you can't check out at home depot y'all by all the flowers all those wheelbarrows and everything are all out there. And they're all gone now so. I'm assuming you do kind of the simple stuff in life. The more you pay attention to that the more you will will keep your sanity and keep your optimism. Keep your spirit.

You really can't get to where you want to go. We'll talk about that here in just a little bit as well so when I say. Have you done your homework? You really checking in on your life and a lot of. It's a little bit upside down right now but You look in ny spiritually and your family and your job and everything else. Where is it do you like it? You don't like it are the things you just WanNa hang onto right now and keep things you want to change. It's really good time to make some adjustment. You can get the perfect week planner. It's at the website motivation dot com under the resource section. That'll help you figure this stuff out. You might want to do that. But do your homework. Pension to where you are it helps you get to where you WANNA go so today. I don't often do this but I am going to do it. Because it had some folks Scott. Can you do this okay again? A lot of time on the phone this week folks all over the world reducing stress so when it comes to reducing stressors some standard ways of doing it. But I don't tend to do standard. I tend to do things a little bit differently because I tend to sit down and go what actually works only for me but what I see work around the world or what do I feel work. When I'm working on myself. I can literally feel it on the inside. And that's where I go. I don't I don't go to books and all that kind of stuff. I don't make stuff up. It is what works. And that's what I deliver to you so I wanNA reduce your stress but I want to do it a different way by increasing your hope if that's okay because unless you're living in a cave you may have noticed. There is more stress these days. There is less hope around in your life today. Probably maybe I h there. You're just not noticing it. A short time. It goes very different. Pandemics can do that so can life. By the way I've said for years life gets in the way it does. It doesn't always get in this big away but but holy moly. Did anybody see this coming while I guess most of his dead at some point with the Fancy Dancy smart scientists? Someday it's going to happen. Well it did but we weren't thinking about that. We were too busy going into chick-fil-a eaten at right. Too busy with life. Life gets in the way all the time over the years. I've learned a little bit about stress. If had like most folks have had areas in my life that have been stressful. A lot of itself induced. By the way I'm kind of adventuresome kind of guy that likes to push do different things. I put myself in stressful situations and I didn't know I didn't do it on purpose but I got there. What am I doing but swelled volunteer? Here I am as some of the things that happened in my world that were well. You'll not great deaths in the family and loss jobs and things like that over the years. That were very stressful. And I kinda learn but you're usually in every case when this has happened. In retrospect looking back on it and really taken some time to ponder were. The fear in the stress came from it did come from fear. That's where it came from. In almost every case the feeling of stress came from fear feeling stress over. Maybe never getting off the hamster wheel people role in to fast. Sometimes that's gone away these days for pace by different kind of hamster wheel. I guess feeling stressed from uncertainty. Why are they gonNa Right now? But you know it's been going around before your entire life. You been uncertain at certain times. It's kind of funny uncertain at Certain Times that of course some stress wanted a big one for me is lack of adequate information these days. We probably have more information than we want. It's always been that way but now we're kind of hyper focused on it. But we don't need more do we? It's information overload. We know that doesn't work. We need adequate information. We need enough to know in every single case whenever I have enough to know I find myself calm. And what's really neat about? It is if you understand this that that that adequate information to me is the biggest one. You can really avoid a lot of stress that comes with not knowing against you. It doesn't matter where your fear originates. The solution is is really a very frame of your mind and reform that is right changing how you think a little bit kind of coming at it from a different direction. An P. Concept. You may have heard about this before programming. Concept is easy to see things as they are. It's difficult to do. Sometimes seeing things as they are a lot of folks say Scott amount of work as Democrats scared to death. I'm seeing things as they are very very clearly as when not really. Is it uncertainty as like a money is having some issues with maybe your food or your family? What is it if you see things as they really are? You got to go deep. Don't you have to dig down inside? I know it's scary too. But that's where the adequate information is so the only way to see things that is the rs not to look on the surface. You gotta go a little deeper. And what's really driving the impact on you? What's causing that fear and that stress? It's scary sometimes. But it's eye opening. It's it's freeing it's liberating so you see things as they are not superficially but has a really truly ours is the truth that you actually don't want to. I want to pay attention to because only when you see things exactly as they are with one hundred percent clarity. Can you see things as they can be if you don't have clarity if you haven't completely grounded yourself what's really going on in your world? And what the impact is on you trying to think yourself out of that is well. It's difficult at best and it does create stress. Because you don't know what to do which in a fearful state and it doesn't give you a chance to bring back at home. What would you do see things as they are? You will notice instantaneously as you look at things can be this feeling of hope comes inside of you and when it does you'll notice it you'll feel it feel the stress quater your shoulders at your Chesterfield. Go Away that re frame of mind said well you for just a millisecond? Click in time. That's all it takes to realize all is well all is well. I used to have clarity of Barium. Were going stress will go away the whole full arrive and you will in fact become available because that's the we are right now right unless something stops you physically. You're still going to get up and and keep going it means. You're actually unstoppable already if you just recognize that all right. I'm going to get out of your back tomorrow. Chat about why plan B is not even necessary. All you need is plan to get through just about anything. Show hope here and hope on Wednesday honor. Operation had mentioned call at lluhvision moved up Tom. I'll see you tomorrow.

Time To Reinvent Your Life?

"How are Ya how awesome is weekend? It was a lot around here. I live in new SMYRNA Beach Cherry here in Florida outside of Daytona. And over the weekend. They lifted a lot of the stay at home. Motorola restaurants stores started open. I gotTa tell you also from the beaches and it was really odd to see all these people in bathing suits and boats and stuff and headed to the beach. It's it's been so long this kind of an odd feeling actually. Don't even know what to think about it right now. Just don't know configured out though it is what it is right. Also the daily boost from motivation to move dot com every single day. No matter what you gotta figure out stuff certainly happens to make you work at it. You have dreams ambitions desires things you WanNa do things you wanna get on track or back on track with it but at the end yeah life gets in the way and we have to deal with it. There's one thing I know for sure. Life will always get in the way. They're always challenges. They always have to be managed in some kind of strange way we have to. Sometimes her head screwed on straight. You know something that I learned in the past couple of weeks and I would have been talking to it just a ton of people and this is one of the biggest lessons I picked up on everybody. Everybody has a different perspective of what's happening right now. Everybody depending on what job there in. What part of the country they live in some people are are not working at all. Some people are working endless hours. Some people are still getting paid. Exactly what they got before but they're working eighty hours a week and have no time to do anything that will frustrated. Some people just want to get back to work in the can't everybody's in a different spot and yes a lot of people affected by this virus. A lot of people have been lost in this virus so I've really gotten perspective of that just by talking to people all over the world about how were all writing this same storm. Many many different boats together and so people in small boats and some enlarge votes. It's crazy but hopefully God willing. It will settle here soon. My name is Scott Smith the founder and the chief motivating officer here at motivation. Move Dot Com. I'm sure happy you're here today. There are tons of places you could be. This is going to good place because we're talking about a little reinvention today. A favorite topic of mine and something has been a lot of time helping a lot of folks do. There is no better time than right now to reinvent yourself maybe a little better or a little different as we move forward and help you do that. I want to invite you to become a member at motivation who've dot com where we have the daily news premium version of this show which comes out Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday and the operation reinvention to you on Saturday all commercial. I've cut the price during this pandemic is going on. We dropped fifty percent down to nine ninety five contracts. You can cancel anytime. Never had a price this low before so if you join us just go to motivation who've dot com get started today so here we are. It is Monday and that means I was thinking about things I want to do in my life now this weekend you. I'm always talking about exploring the possibility well. I got to explore the possibility this weekend. A friend of ours owns and I'll pack a wrench to and as you said. Hey can you bring your tractor over and help me move some dirt around and you have to put some dirt and some stalls can yell at thought out and get detractors. I've got trigger and I I took my track over there. John Deere and I spent the entire day helping her. But you know what I learned. I explored the possibility of doing dirt work in a neat cool tractor all day long and I. I realized I wasn't going to be something I ever aspired to do. As a living not nothing wrong with it but it wasn't going to happen so I knew my homework. I'M GONNA look at my world and say what do I like about my world? What I don't like about my world and okay do I like to attract or work for my neighbor. Well sort of venue. She asked again. I would help but would I try to avoid it. Heck Yeah it's not really my list right now and that's all we have to do with homework. That's it. We look into our life the things that were doing the things we'd like to do things that we don't like to do things you wanna say yes to things. We want to say no to decide how we're GONNA handle it in the future when you do that when you assess how your life is going to be and you just a few minutes every single day. I like it every single day. You want so if you want to. You'd be surprised what happens if you don't do that. You'll be surprised. Ten Years Fly Pie. And You wonder how you got there. See it every day. So do your homework. If you need help remember get the perfect planner. It's in the resource section of motivation. And WE'VE DOT COM easy to find. They're just click on that and download it and watch the video. It'll explain to you how to how to hold time for yourself. Maybe you got some extra time right now you can use it so let's talk about reinventing. Costano a pretty good time right now. I mean the past month has created a nothing short of a massive disruption in our lives. No doubt about that. So why not take advantage of this journey back to normal and maybe switch things up now? This is a nonstop never ending specialty and expertise. I have done this for a lot of years really being able to go come where I am and just become something different when I want to and helping so many people do it so I have a lot of experience in this world and it's a great chance to do it in fact it's been said you've heard the phrase before never let a crisis go to waste. We got one right now right. There's a disruption right now and when something has been disrupted you have a chance to wiggle and move and shake and bake and do everything you WanNa do. Make a few changes so when he wanted some tweaks as we move ourselves back to what is going to be normal here in the future or you WANNA total reinvention. The process is very much the same use the same steps. No matter what you WANNA do. Little suffer big stuff ready number one and this is a big deal and it's usually the one that people have already done but don't realize they've done it. You must acknowledge that something needs to change. Doesn't sound like a whole lot but you'd be surprised. Lots of people are trying to fix all kinds of things and not recognize as underlying change. It has to happen so when you recognize. There is something that needs changing. Listen to your gut into crisis. We're in right now. Lives are disrupted and you're thinking wait a second. How did I get here? How did this happen? Whether it's my fault. Non My fall how could I have avoided this? How could I made it easier and that gut feeling might be telling you make a few changes so if and when it happens again you're in a different spot number to be honest your inner thoughts and your feelings are real. We ARE EMOTIONAL BEINGS. And so that's where it's GonNa come from now. We have to transfer that into logic right but they are telling you the truth. They're telling you something has to change so listen to what's in there really reading yourself. An honor what. You're feeling. Translate that into actions. You'll see what happens. So first acknowledging ing that we really need to make a change in order to get the the impact that we want and to be honest with these feelings are yours. A lot of folks will say yea. I don't know it's kind of running around my head. Coaching and work with people one of the biggest things I do is validate that feeling. Validate that thought. I tested and validated. To make sure it's real and often in the process they go out the way you said it back to me. I can see that. It's this right so honored that clearly understand why you want to reinvent something you gotTa know this now. The wise always a very powerful thing but when you understand exactly why you WANNA make some changes and really feel it. It's GonNa get you excited. And that is a power that will move you forward through the journey. You're about ready to take. We should ask yourself a favor question. I think I got this the book the One thing. What one thing can you do or not? Do that will have the most significant impact on your life. It's an extremely powerful question. You're trying to make a reinvention of yourself because if you're trying to move in a certain direction there is something you can do. It may be changing jobs and maybe starting a business may be quitting the job. Who knows what is going to be. I don't know your situation right now but there's got to be one thing maybe it's moving. Maybe it's paying off some bills. I don't know what it's going to be. But there is one thing you can do that or not do. That's going to have a huge impact and immediate instantaneous. Impact on your life. Don't be afraid of that. Go find it. Why take your time looking forward and dabbling around when you just think about it a little bit and figure out what to do? I want you to set a sprint goal. I thought about this when I wrote this down. I typically will say a ninety day goal so the at least ninety days I went to sprint toward at your focus goes in that direction. You WanNa make the change now. Ninety days is something anybody can do but I will recognize ninety days. It's a longtime particularly in the The upheaval we feel these days. So my first thought was well. Let'S CUT BACK THIRTY S. Push everybody for thirty days and do that and I like thirty days. Anybody can do thirty days so I'm going to give you a little bit of leeway here I want you to sprint for at least thirty but a fixture think three months if you can hold on for thirty days and then go ninety you will change. Your Life. I promise you a lot faster than you think it won't be the all-time

Take a Leap of Faith

It is the daily boost from motivation to move dot com. Way Back in two thousand six crazy idea. I thought maybe I can motivate and inspire you. I thought maybe I had that that power to do that. And if I showed up every single day the least I could do is drag you kicking and screaming to life of your dreams. Maybe I can do that and so I started a long time ago and I learned something within about the first two weeks. I learned that there is no possible way for me to inspire you. That's something I can try to do. It's kind of A. It's kind of side effect of what I do if I do what I do. Some people get inspired. But really that's up to you. It's firing off a spark in your heart to get you going and we've just been doing it everyday. Sunset good heavier today my name is Scott Smith founder chief motivating officer here at motivation to move dot com. So have you noticed? There's a little bit of craziness going on in the world right now. Let me tell you about something. Successful people people that are successfully able to move their life in the direction of their of their choosing what they do every single day number. One they somehow or able to avoid the distraction of the day and there is so much of that right now and and secondly they're able to find their focus and stay on that focus. That's what you should be doing right now while it seems really crazy. During this period of unrest there's a lot of opportunity if you'll spot it but you need to have your mindset in the right place and that's what we do here on the daily boost every single Monday here on itunes and Iheartradio stitcher just pretty much everywhere done it. Since two thousand six the same thing but on Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday the daily buse is still produced commercial free. Promo FOR MOTIVATION DOT com the operation reinvention show where we get together with our members and my wife. Join me on the show with the explicit purpose of saying how can we take what we have now and turn it into something much better something much different maybe than we had before Jennifer longtime? It's fantastic the daily negative email. It's the show. Prep for the for the PODCAST. I write the daily at first then I produced the podcast but a send you the daily news everyday. The daily Click is one hundred fifty character. Text message just to remind you just when you need it just when you need it most about the message of the day and it's very inspiring for fun stuff. If you would like to take advantage of that. I have cut the price of the daily a boost. Premium membership and motivation. We've come first time ever. We've gone from nineteen ninety-five fifty percent off down to nine hundred. I don't know how long we'll keep it. Keep it as long as we need to ninety five. You can keep it forever if you want to but you gotta go now and do it all right so if you like it every single day do me a favor go to motivation move dot com. We don't have a sponsor today so it's those folks who want to join us over there to keep the show going I so appreciate it. Okay with us It IS A. It's a crazy time right now. What else is going on a? He's a crazy right now and it is Monday and every single Monday since about Two thousand six. I think I've been asking. Have you done your homework? I think evolved from folks asking me to give them a challenge to give them an assignment. A lot of folks will say that when I'm done worker with them they'll say Scott. So what am I marching orders? Give me an assignment and I don't mind doing that. I guess but I also know in my case. I never need anybody to be marching orders. I get so excited I go okay. This is what I gotTa do and I go do it. And that's what I want you to get however it does help to get a little bit of a a catalyst to get you going. Doesn't it so oughta Monday when I asked? If you've done your homework I just ask. Have you sat down and paid attention to what you like? Or don't like what's going on either world that you could keep and get more of what would you like to get rid of just paying a little bit of attention now right now? During this great pandemic pause we have what an amazing time. I know. Some folks are so busy. They can't breathe. Other folks are so bored out of their mind. They don't know what to do. Some people are doing just fine. Other people can't get food. I know there's a lot going on. But if you can manage to get yourself away from distraction and focus just a few minutes on where your world is. Now yes start your world and you can expanded your family and friends and everybody start with yours and pay a little bit of attention to it. Watch what happens now. I haven't mentioned too much about my perfect week planner. I used to talk about all the time. It's at motivation to move dot com. I haven't mentioned because I thought well. Maybe it's not quite the timing but then again maybe it is now what I do every single week on a Thursday. I sit down. I plan the next week and my perfectly planner allows me to do that allows we just a look about ten days in advance and decide how I'll spend my time and my focus and then what happens is when people try to decide how I'm going to spend my time and focus for me. I say no thanks. I'm busy or you just ignore them. It's a wonderful way to go if you like it. Just go to motivation who've dot com under the resource section. You'll find it there. Try It maybe you can use it right now during this this massive shift in your life and maybe Maybe have to wait a few weeks. I'm not really sure about that but today I want to get into something. Want to revisit something that I I heard a very long time ago and I listened many many wise people. Do you do that while? Gosh I know you're listening to this show so you're starting pretty well. I A lot of wise people now when I listened to wise people. I advise this for you as well. I don't take it just like okay. Fine whatever he said that sets. I don't do that. I take it in take for consideration. See how it fits into my life and see if it works and works. I try it and if not I get rid of it. And that's all neighbor to so Steve. Harvey is Guys Very Funny Guy. You Know Steve. The comedian right and smart guy and he does a lot of personal development. Work the head. He said great success in his life. And he'll tell you the story is all about it but one of the lessons. That really got me that he was teaching. I may have read it in his book. I'm not sure exactly where this came from. But but he was teaching a lesson about being successful he said you must jump and I wanted to re visit that for you. Because maybe the timing's good for that right now. You must jump now. I've been jumping now for about thirty or forty days when this whole pandemic came down and I have a lot going on already. I said what else can I do? Is this a chance for me to shift? And Kinda Kinda hyper transport myself to another place doing something completely different or maybe some modification what I have right now. I don't even answer that is but can I do it. I have been doing it a big way. You must jump and I will tell you that in working with so many people over the years the hardest thing for me to get anybody to do his jump sometimes. The biggest jump they make is. Download the PODCAST. The biggest jump they make us maybe hire me to coach them or maybe the big ships make is not get out of bed. Not really sure about that but you gotta jump. If you want to be successful you must jump into your dreams. That means you have to understand what your dream all right. You have to take a leap of faith. You have to go for it. You have to jump into your dreams many times. We stand right there on the cliff life and we watch others enjoying the life that you really desire. Have you seen that right now? If you're looking around depending on where you are in a very odd time right now because I get it. There is some people right now that basically are sitting at home still getting paid still doing the job. Other people are out of work and starving and really scared to death. It's really hard to kind of look out there. But say you're having a rough time and you see others that are not can't have you taken to be really focused yourself on that if you're having a difficult time have you taken a minute to look beyond and say well. Who's not because I know me I'll do that if I'm having a difficult time. All look out there and say well. Who's not what are they doing? I want some of that so sometimes we can look out there on this cliff or wherever we are. We're going to go over the edge and we can look at joy what other people are doing that we might like to have. Maybe we just see the bad stuff that we don't WanNa have and and try to say what we do now. I'M GONNA stay right here. I'm not gonNA jump and I don't want to jump off a cliff anyway right. Who wants to do that? Come on or the rally is think of the cliff. Maybe let's think of as an airplane unless you're base jumper anybody who's really been successful or anybody else redefined that anybody who has been able to live the life of their choosing to choose their actions to do the things they want to do has jumped. They jumped so when you finally decide to jump. Guess what happens. Have you ever jumped of airplane? I have several times. I'm a free fall guy. I didn't go through. The entire course. Jumped UP TO INTERFERE AIRPLANE ALL BY MYSELF. A whole bunch of tandem jumps kind of get done with it. I went yeah. It's not that big a deal. I prefer to fly the airplanes and jump out of them. Which is what I did but if you ever jump out of an airplane or if you watch a video of somebody doing it what you notice the parachute does not open right away. It's kind of a takes a few seconds. Doesn't it because it has to fill with air before can slow you down? Sometimes you get around but have you seen that comes out and all said boom. It looks like well. It's not that bad. Trust me but from the ground it looks like it is shake shell over the place but when you jump the shoot fills the air and now you're floating and if you've never done that floating in the wind. I would suggest you do it. Just if you haven't done it just to experience it there is no win by the way you can't hear the win. It's dead silent. It's amazing it's so peaceful but you'd never experience that if you didn't jump in fact a lot of people jump out of an airplane or base jump. Sometimes I see them do that as well because they just want to see if they can do it. You must jump to get what you want in life. I it's GonNa fill but if you don't jump it never will. And that is. The lesson of this is program today.

"Scott Smith and here's our top story at five thirty one the corona virus pandemic what you need to know from KYW newsradio Pennsylvania seen a decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases health officials today reported an additional one thousand one hundred seventy six positive cases but that's five hundred fewer than was reported yesterday and more than eight hundred less than that was confirmed just three days ago the number of new fatale these has also dropped from seventy eight on Saturday to just thirteen today overall there close to twenty three thousand cases across the Commonwealth of more than five hundred deaths he would have used us because this has more on these latest numbers we're not seeing as many new cases as we had before and so the tentative conclusion is that we have been able to bend that curve Pennsylvania health secretary Dr Rachel Levine says it's crucial that that trend continues at least until they see the peak number of cases and the goal is is that as we reach the the current quote search that's been talked about that it'll be a wave of new cases that will come up and go down but it won't be a tidal wave that would all completely overwhelm our health care system she says that's why it's more important than ever to continue to follow social distancing guidelines not to get rid of them but to continue them and once you can't pinpoint exactly when that surge will occur it does seem to indicate that the current quote search is likely in the southeast and the northeast over the next week or more but not in all areas of Pennsylvania at the Oscars in it K. Y. W. newsradio meanwhile in Philadelphia health officials have announced two hundred thirty four new cases of coronaviruses brings the number of confirmed cases here in the city more than six thousand three hundred and this pandemic is given this Easter Sunday a distinctly different look in that story is coming up on KYW newsradio right now it's five thirty two time for traffic and weather on the twos and it's sponsored by one donation if the buy two get two free sale is a limitation dot com for more details we go over to Billy Dawson and traffic center yeah G. a distinctive different look would be for sure here on the roads and things are pretty light all around KYW newsradio in eighteen T. phone for salute all the workers on the front lines during this emergency now picking up a new situation in Chester County school township report of a potential road hazard or debris this is by the police scribble township it's junk hollow road at Oakwood lane I eyes up heads up and pay attention if you head that direction police are on the scene there how will go around this kind of bounce around like a couple of different areas here two oh two north bound from Westchester up in the king of Prussia and in Norristown and Doylestown two oh two north down in good shape same thing on the southbound side no issues to report on the Bethlehem pike three oh nine from Montgomery field down to Fort Washington and things looking pretty nice here on the vine six seventy six east and westbound and U. Neutralizing Negative Thoughts

"How are you going to ask a question? It's a simple question. You may not know the answer right now. You might have to check might have to reference it but I'm GonNa ask it anyway already. Do you know what day it is today. I mean what day of the Week. It is because a lot of folks. Your schedule's been flipped upside down. You're working at home. These days can't quite figure out what data's that's a bad thing actually. It's the daily boost from motivation to move dot com since about two thousand but we start in two thousand and five the show starred in two thousand six simple mission get up in the morning. See with world brings you could. We don't always expected to bring a pandemic but it does sometimes and it gets in her way like it's in the way okay. Well how do we deal with it? You know if you get done with the freak out and some people are still freaking out. Some people have really bad lives right now. It's it's really tough for a lot of others are barely even touched by an kind of an odd thing. So we're finding a new place to figure it out but it happens and we just work through a day by day. But why tell you what I've heard from? People that are in their homes these days and some are saying. I can't wait to get back to the office others going. This is kind of cool. I kind of like being at home at the time years ago. I made the switch I. I decided I didn't want to work in an office anymore and I actually didn't work in too many of them because I worked in Radio Section. Walk in and go through the office and go to the studio and you morning shows and I was doing the last morning show every day in West Palm Beach. Florida and As driving about sixty miles a day to get that while one way to get there so one hundred twenty miles a day. Four o'clock in the morning him on the highway cruising sixty minutes down. The radio station was getting kind of tired of it. The drive and so I started doing some math one day and the Matthew says if I drive two hours a day five days a week fifty weeks out of the year. That's about five hundred hours of driving. And then I divided it by forty a forty hour workweek right and came up with twelve point. Five forty hour workweeks driving like a third of the year and about a week later. I couldn't get out of my mind. I quit my job. So that's not GonNa do more and I took a Home Office as I'm saving all the time and putting it in into life and I've had a lot of clients through the same thing so maybe right now. You're thinking the same if you do that math right now. Some of you are going to sit at the dinner table tonight going. You know what I heard today. Do you know how many hours it's coming right. Haze Scott Smith good to have you. Thanks for stopping by. We're going to talk about neutralising. Negative thoughts today awesome show. Because I'm feeling the need to purge them from here's all show you a simple method to To get them out here get out of your head. Couple of days ago. I started getting emails. And there's a consistent theme in those e mails it was God. Have you noticed that the economy is kind of like stopped as pandemic is stopped? And we just don't know what's going to be happening and I love your show. I want this podcast and I want my Daily Mail. Daily Click text message and I want the Fisher Passion coaching. But I'm kind of looking nineteen ninety-five gotta be smart here a CJ do so. Let me help so for the first time since two thousand six. I cut the price from nineteen ninety-five down to nine five fifty percent discount during this pandemic. That's going on right now. It's available to you. Nothing's changed just price. If you're interested. Go TO MOTIVATION WHO'VE DOT COM GET? Signed up right now okay. So are you having nightmares? Lot folks are having nightmares really bad dreams right now and I'm having some weird dreams. I wouldn't call them nightmares but weird dreams. Negative thoughts though popping up throughout the day. A lot of people are doing the right now and why not there is a lot going on. There's a lot to worry about depending on where you are in this particular Process we have going right now with a pandemic. It could be very negative for you. It's kind of hard to be positive. Isn't it yet force that so I was thinking about it? I was actually working with a couple clydes helping them. Kind of neutralize. Those thoughts and a part of my job won't kill. Let's bring it here and the more I began to think about the MOIS. Okay where do I begin to pick up this? Take that I use to neutralize those negative thoughts and when I I really began to be aware of it was when I was studying for my pilot's certificate learned a little airplanes got instant radio thing and as I was going through the process. I thought it was all about flying airplanes whether things like that but I was really surprised by the emphasis put on the health of a pilot state of mind now in the beginning I never had thought about it. But then again when you think about it. If you've ever watched movies you want the pilot to be feeling pretty good. Right if he's completely negative getting in the cockpit. That's not probably a good thing to do. Negative thoughts are hazardous to flying so they teach pilots to kind of recognize in that in themselves. And actually teach you to recognize it and crew members as well has it as thoughts. Negative thoughts man bad for life to. You might be feeling that right now so next time you're feeling negative. That thought nudging its way into your day. Here's what you do number one recognize it a lot of times. These things are flying in and out of your head. It were busy. Were caught up in the news and everything else is going on. Just survival really right and we're not taking the time to recognize what's happening. We might see it as a bad mood or just being grouchy. Just being depressed or something so I want you to stop and just if you can catch it in your brain catch it before it begins to bother you too much just recognize. It's their that is the first step toward neutralizing a hazarded negative. Thought it just recognizing and so simple sometimes when you just do that. Just by recognizing it's a thought. Sometimes it goes way. You don't have to do anything else. But what if you do while number two is got to label it? Got To call it. Something get identify why the Lousy thought is coming into your mind and Slab label on it. I do this all the time. I label everything when anything comes into my world and I just got to put. I got a call at something and if I don't know what to call it or what box it put it in. Or how file? I can't do anything with it bounces around my brain. It's like an open loop that goes on and on and on and on so label it when you know what to call it. You'll know what to do next so when you label it. Well I'M A. I'm just worried about finances. That's fine just label. I'm worried about money. That's cool. Just label it because now you can take a break. You know what it is. You've stopped that spin next. You prescribe the antidote and you make the underlying cause go away. Wash away the negative now. How do you do that? Well say it is money so you're worried about that. Do what I did doing an inventory. You go and you see exactly where you are and you start to make a bit of a plan I promise you when you recognize that label it and then begin to deal with it even the smallest amount the worry while will still be there will not be this unfettered in your face driving you crazy making his not sleep. Khanna worry it'll be more controlled. You'll feel more like you. That's all you need to do. And it all stops starts just by stopping it and recognizing what's going on. It can be incredibly easy to get caught up in negative negative. Not if you will find yourself frankly in a state of overwhelm. It's everywhere right. Now GonNa put the brakes on it. Take a few minutes. All of those steps recognize it sloppily. Bilotta and then prescribe prescribe the solution described. Don't just fiddle around with it. Literally sit down and say hey. I'm the doctor me. This is what I'm GonNa do rectify this problem. Even if you can't get all the way they're just the fact that you put it up on the table you can see where it is John to Stan would initiate where it's coming from and now you have at least somewhat of a path to head down to get get it taken care of. You will sleep so much better. I promise you by the way. Did you know that alcohol sales are up? Fifty five percent and marijuana sales are off the charts right now. I bet you didn't even have to tell you that. And you just know it right when you walk into a store and they've been armed guards standing around the beer you know. There's an issue going on so breath agee breath. I'M GONNA come back tomorrow. I can't I have no idea what I'm talking about because I'm talking to my coat my members I'm talking to my clients. I'm I'm seeing what's necessary. And then we craft the story for the next day but it'd be good one because man. My phone is ringing like crazy. Appreciate also check in industry yellow. I'm doing and you have great day. I'll see tomorrow.

Building a Solid Foundation During a Crisis

"Hates me. Scott Smith founder. Chief Marketing Officer motivation to move Akam. Hey don't make the mistake of thinking guys who do the work that I do. Don't make our our women to or anybody. Don't make them stick of thinking that we get out of bed on. Let's go it's going to be? Oh no you lose sleep. Wake up in the morning. What am I gonNa do but the differences I think sometimes is that I am Kinda hardwired to go okay. Fine this kind of sucks scary knows what's going to happen. I don't know but I'll get up and see what I can do about it so I give you permission to what and watching efforts for like a week. Well but the week almost fast now I give you permission to go to the beach and play and all that kind of stuff and just chill whatever you want to do if you have that opportunity right now but you don't have permission much longer because we have to do two things anytime. Something happens like this number one. We have to take a pause. You've got to pause long enough to see where you are. And in that time I usually do what's called an inventory all talk about that on tomorrow's show I I pause and I just look around my life in every area of my life and I make sure that I'm solid and we're not solid. I go fix it so I- offers and get a good picture of what has to be dealt with. Second Eggert very proactive. I go deal with those areas that need to be short up a little bit. You GotTa make sure you got your walls up around your right so we haven't done that yet. Make sure you pause the CY which you need to do and then we'll get it done that includes and I just want to give you a quick reminder. This is not really my job but I'll I'll put it in her anyway. This is all about being proactive. This is making sure you're okay and in my world it's all about making you. You have the life that you want right now with all this going on. There's a lot of government assistance. That's going to be coming our way. Eventually as soon as those knuckleheads of Washington could get out of the way. Get it done. It is coming. I promise you that is coming. You need to be proactive. Don't sit there and just wait for it if you're GONNA dish with credit card or mortgage or something like that get on the phone why I promise you right now. The wait to talk to anybody to help your life get better is going to be five. Times was an hour ago. So be proactive. Don't sit and wait. Get on it. Go for it figure out. Whatever you can do and make it happen now. What is today? Oh you know what I did. Yesterday I did a Monday show and I did not ask you. If you've done your homework I guess a whole show is about your homework right. Alica hell of a week is not about so. Let's talk about a Building a solid foundation during this crisis. I have two goals and they academy in you. I want you to make sure that you have built the foundation. You need to survive this. But I want you to thrive as well. I want you to come out the other side and I began to think about this. Come up better I should say as we begin to think about it and I sat down and said okay. Well how do I present this? I realized it was right in front of me the whole time. It's just how I roll. And it really starts with the nineteen fifty four theory called the hierarchy of needs released by Abraham Maslo. I'm sure you've heard about it. You may have read about it back in college right. Everything is being turned upside down. It might be a good time to get back to those basics out now. The basics are divided. And it's been talked about a lot and people get in all kinds of Wigan about it but basically it's divided into two groups the deficiency needs and the being needs the D. needs and the needs. It's a pyramid. You can google if you're too but essentially goes like this you're Dini deficiency needs. Need to be taken care of. That's why I said you have to pause and decide. That's toilet flew off the shelf okay. That's D. needs physiological. Need a little bit of a got this crazy guys when you find truckloads of toilet paper for you. Don't need that go online. Use a toilet paper calculator and figure out how much you need. I have seven weeks of toilet paper for me and I'm locking it from a wife goes. It'd be one week if I let her have it. It's true you know right. I'M GONNA be in trouble. She hears it so number one for your D needs physiological easy to make sure you have food clothing shelter money everything you need. I'm not I'm not a proper. I never have been although points for those purposes. Now isn't it will who we thought they were pretty funny about five years ago. Now look at it. They're laughing at us. But I told my wife I said Hey. Do you suffer favor shop as normal you know. Just you know every couple of days if you can get out. We're not shut down here. We're not locked in. We can get to the grocery store in Florida. Maybe you won't be able to but you can still get to grocery stores right. I think in most areas these days so far. Get out there. Make sure just pick up a couple of things along the way it makes your life. This could make sure you can eat. Make sure you can drink water. Make sure that the money that you need check here. Take care of your physiological needs. That's number one number two once you get that done. You need to feel safe right and right now. I'm pretty sure that most everybody's in the stage right now. I think most people probably a lot the don't but I think generally speaking most people have probably taken care of their their shelter and their food. Not all the most but now you need to feel safe. This is the angst I hear talking to folks these days. You need to feel safe in your person and emotionally and financially in your health and wellness against accidents and things like that. So be careful with it. If you're in a time of crisis like this you know people think I was laughing watching these guys. Don't come to the hospital. If you're sick guys just call your doctor. Don't don't overburden the health system. You can't do that and then I talked to people as a what are you doing well. It's a good time for me to pressure. Wash my roofs. I'M GONNA BE CLIMBING ON. My I said don't do that. That's not smart. Why what happens if you fall a call the ambulance? No don't do that be safe. This is where people are okay so physiological needs. I mean safe after that. Make sure that's covered. Do those things really take the time to think about that? Because that's going to settle for this. How you're wired when you get that taken care of you'll settle and you'll feel happier. You won't feel you'll completely stress but you'll feel happier number three and this is kind of a tough and thing right now. Socially you need feel sense of love and belonging social media may be coming into. Its own right now. I hate social media. I like it more today than I did a week ago. And it's crazy to me that the one thing that really I think is separated. The world has now is being used bringing together. The one thing we we like to go in public and talk to people but now he can't so now we have to make social media more like that micro was on television and he was saying the same thing and it's almost hard to put words in my belief the thing social media that really has kind of driven a lot of the world but also the same torn and set. The world on fire is now become a firefighter. It's making things a little better so physiological needs. You can eat you take care of yourself. You have Tony Paper. You can go to the bathroom. You feel safe. You can protect yourself and social. You have a sense of belonging and and certainly all belong right now in that way but now we can connect on social media now. Those are kind of Your D. needs and there are more certainly wouldn't take you very long to sit down and say okay. What do I really have to have my deficiency needs in other words? If I don't have this I have to have it. What is that? I think you can figure that pretty easily but then we get to your be needs. You're being needs and as we progress through the coming days. That's where my focus is in fact. That's where it already has go. There naturally always look to the other side of the crisis. I'm like can I do with this? And how can take advantage of it? No not at all. It's simply okay. This is where we are one. I'm going to do Damasio a Masol. He said what a man can be. He must be that is self actualization. You're becoming who you want to be. Not what he first released this. The theory was if you couldn't take care of your physiological your Your How you felt your safety your social needs and all that. If you couldn't do that you couldn't work on self actualising you couldn't be but people said well wait a second. Why can't a starving artists work on his art and not care if he got enough right so theoretically they started by saying? You can't do it until but now we're reeling. It says it's a bottom up and top down approach so you can build a foundation that really helps you to feel better during times like this and still reach out to the other side and say wait a second. What can I do? Maybe somebody always wanted to do. Maybe you want to write that book now. Maybe it's a good time. Got Some time to do it right. Maybe you WANNA have a bigger impact on the world and not had the time to do that but now is the time. How do you do that their creative ways to do it? Don't they? So much support online right now to help all the folks that are at home and and feeling the way. I'm feeling the way I'm GonNa help you feel. I think there's so much you can do. You can take care of the basics and you can also make sure that you are reaching out beyond that with the goal of a Vicki Yourself. Better or somebody else better or the common good better. You kind of need all that you gotTa have a little bit of everything out there to really make it balance on feel good. You can do it at the same time. My question to you is. Are you willing to do at the same time? I'm placing my focus on using the current a virus to create the Kuroda dryness.

The Endless Opportunity Mindset

"This age more than ever. There is more flexibility in how you earn living how you spend your time than any at any time in history and you can really decide to do it. Why don't you do that sometimes? Well Because Society Tells us what to do from a time where a kid and we go through school we get out. We start doing our thing for you. Know at twenty years have passed. And we're still doing our thing. Even though it wasn't our thing to begin with you can choose whatever you want to choose. How do you do that? Well somewhere deep inside you. Can you just admit to me? There is something there that you'd like to do. It's a little bit different. It could be better. It could be bigger. Who knows but it's different. It's down inside. It probably makes you smile just a little bit and maybe there's some times that you sit back and Humana wish I could just do this or maybe you love what you do. I'm not saying you don't but there's something somewhere you can make a change the very minute that you believe that anything that can you can conjure up in your mind as possible as long as you believe you can do it and take some action toward it and get clarity the very minute. You believe that you'll change everything. Anything is possible for you. If you are willing to at least do that and I think you are. How are Ya hates me? Scott Smith Founder. Chief motivating officer here and motivation to move dot com. What a Week. This has so many phone calls so many emails so much interactivity going on chat with folks are just so much too many cool things you know. What's really cool can I? Can I chat with you just a second? It's really neat. Because I like human potential. I like going forward. I like big ASS goals. I like to say let's do this and see what I can do. Its way outside the norm. Sometimes it's way outside the lines. People say Scott. What are you doing and then usually happens is not too long after that they go. How'd you do it? I love that kind of stuff and when I hear folks doing that when I hear folks that maybe in a Rut or dreaming and wishing and hoping and suddenly they get it. Bomb trick is to click happens and they take action massive and perfect action simply making a mess until they get there because you can clean it up later right. Bugah save money. Isn't everything but you can make a mess and then the money will help you clean it up. What I see that happened. I get so excited. 'cause lives change a change every single minute of the day and we have nine minutes today so you can change a lot today. Sometimes getting that change though. Sometimes change comes down to It comes down to opportunity. Have you noticed that I like to have an endless opportunity mindset? I want to chat about opportunity with you a little bit today and maybe we should start by saying. Are you the kind of person that looks for opportunity? Do you know what opportunity is. Are you getting bad and going on autopilot all day long paying the bills taking care of responsibilities do you happen? You're you're doing and you're not looking outside your world. I I will venture to say a lot of people do that. It's okay because side is kind of racist to be that way you get in the job. You've got responsibility. You got the schedule to keep. You gotta do stuff before during and after work the whole thing. It's Kinda hard to look for additional opportunity. That may really make your dreams come true. So I guess we're presuming that you have your dreams. You have some goals and now you're looking out there but some people even have that some people have an idea of what they WANNA do. They have an idea where they wanna go. Maybe that shoe and yet they're not looking for the places to take advantage of that to move yourself into Ford momentum. Remember back when you were a kid a longtime ago no one. That was as a kid. I was Gosh I was just in my early teens and I decided that I was going to. I was going to be radio guy is going to be a DJ or as my mom would say a DJ. I'll she says it that way but until she doesn't I decided that very early on ask anybody who do be in high school and they knew that I was going to be. Discharged is GonNa be on the radio. Yes I was young. Yes I was eager. Yes I was driven. I was so driven. Walk Right into radio stations and just demand to speak to the guy on the air and scared to death. I thought it was from the. Fcc pretty intimidated through being a kid. And as I got through going to school as got out in the real world I was intimidated by it and it stopped me in so many ways because I would just show up and do my job and look around all other fancy people with more experience and and they had so much self-confidence and so much success at I I didn't have yet. I was intimidated by that. I'm enough of a scrapper kind of guy that I just go right up there and just challenge him. Which didn't always work out that well but I'm still intimidated by it. Wow I know back in the day I was Kinda wondering if it was even possible to reach my dreams. You're have been that way. You're felt like that idea what you WanNa do in your world and how you want to change your life and yet you're like I don't even know if it's possible Twi we always talk about. You need to believe in yourself and believe that you can do. It's hard to get to you for some people and there's so much competition of the world. Have you looked around and more so than ever before because of the Internet and all the communication? We have these days. What used to be really hard along time ago to stand out in the crowd because there is no method to stand out in the crowd. And if you were able to break through because there is no communication method to do it then you really stood out right. That's movie stores are made but these days everybody stands out in. The crowd is easy for anybody to be somebody more competition than ever. It's easy to sit down and say. Gosh where's the opportunity so I have a mindset that I have used for very long time? I'll use it I used to yesterday. I'LL USA Today. I'll use it tomorrow and when I look at my world in this very competitive world that I live in I will look at this mindset and say this is this is how I get where I want to go so I kind of have an idea how my lifestyle needs validify. Sure you do too. I know what I like and what you don't like and I'm going to strive to keep it that way but somewhere within all these people in this world somewhere within all this competition. I'm looking to make my dreams come true. I know something about this. Every single person in the world has some frustration and they feel some sense of desperation now. I do this when I think about business in particular but certainly when I'm doing coaching and some of the life coaching stuff that I do but when it comes to business. I always do this. I look at business I say. Wow I know there's a boss someplace. It's really frustrated. It can't find the right people. He needs a solution for his business. He doesn't know how to do it. In many cases who he he or she made me separate or a desperate. They don't know what's going on they but they also don't know something else they don't know where to find me and I can help them so that's the first mindset. I always have is somewhere within all these seven point. Five billion people in the world. There are people who need what I do. There are people who really need my skill set. They really need help. They feel frustrated. They're desperate where is somebody who could help me? They don't know where to find me when I had that mindset. That really makes me. Wow that's cool kind of excited by that right same thing. If you're looking for a job there is somebody who needs you right now with unemployment rates the way they are guaranteed somebody needs. You might number to. My job is to help them. Find me I'm going. GonNa sit back and wait for them to find me. That's not gonNA work. I gotta get in front of him somehow when they do the other mindset. I have is wow. They can't believe their luck. Where have you been all my life? Seriously they're excited because they found a possible solution now at this point. I have to make sure it's a good fit for me as well because I say don't somebody else and their agenda. Pull you off your track. But if you know who you're looking for and you know what problem you can solve. It's very likely when they find you when you help them find you that that they're not going to believe their luck and there go my. Gosh you're doing exactly what I need to do. It for me could be a personal relationship by the way it really could be could be just a simple man had been look if you all my life as a matter where it is so. I'm looking for all these people who really don't know what to do and they just haven't found me yet and I'm going to help them find me. Could be sending resume could be setting. Email could be showing that a beating could just go into a restaurant and strike into the conversation. I went to a conference. The other day wasn't even registered for the conference never went inside. I walked with walked away with so many contexts. I just walked up to people just assume it was a podcast conference. I just assumed that I could probably help them that. They probably need me because they're trying to do what I'm doing. Cited started talking to him and guess what card after car after car. After car. All the business I could ever want if I want it other sort of the mindset to when we meet these people that are really looking for me and they really think I can help them. I remember something. I remember to be grateful. I remember to be humble. I remember to come from a place of service. How can I help? How can I help

You could start a right now so let me ask you a question. I'm just going to get to the point here. Okay just get right into it. How do you view the world? Happy People view the world differently than can I say unhappy people. How do you view the world you can have every single day? Go Party or you. Positively person where it's just nothing but positively and it's not working out for you see you think it should be like this but you look at their and it's not that way and that in your every single day if I push more positively in the world is going to be that way and I think that might be true as well too long haul on that one I have to say is a challenge out there right now but but but yeah. It's we have to have that. Are you grow person? Do you do say everything's run. A non optimistic person fee will about negative person. How do you view the world I will tell you this people are generally happy have really rewire themself? Say See the world as it is and I've had this skill set in my brain for a long time and I do believe it's a skill set because I was confused back in the day and I think alert a skill set to see the world for what it is and still Kinda do capacity to see differently to make differently than that. We're longtime a long time ago when I when I decided to come out of high school if you knew me in high school when I grew up in a little town in Manassas Virginia High School called Stonewall Jackson. If you knew me back then you knew that there was one thing that Scott was going to do. He was going to be a big time. Radio Dj that was it was fun. Man Let's have some fun. Listen the radio listen big time radio. Dj guys the DC area big radio station code WPRO. See The goodguys. I call them. I said one day. I'm going to be that good guy. W PG see the change format before. I had the chance to get there but I was. I went onto be good guide other places all over the country. I realized something once it got work in the real world. Man People are pretty unhappy they are. It's like I'd go. So what are you? You're wearing t-shirts you're eating pizza. Give it away t shirts and other people you having a good time talking on the phone and why you unhappy. You don't have a real job. I don't understand this. Look at the sales of the radio stations in all kinds of money. I said why are YOU UNHAPPY? And it took me a few years to get to the point of going. Well I guess some people just that way because I was never that way but it was a shocker. Back in the beginning I so I have to look at the world differently because evidently this is not gonNa go away. Have you noticed that you can move away from people in the world? You can move away from anybody you've ever known he come back ten years later and they're still unhappy or is still putting their unhappiness on you. They may be happy themselves. But they're making you unhappy right but when you find those folks who see the world differently who understand what the world really truly is. They hold a bit of a dual capacity. They can see the world exactly as it is and yet had that place in their mind where they can reframe decide. Let's make this place better. I think it's hard to do. I do pretty naturally these days. It's the only thing I really truly understand. So how do they see the world? It's rose colored glasses right. They went down to the Walmart bottom suburbs at a rose colored glasses in a works. Maybe the amber wins worked. The Blue blockers remember those. I don't think so I think just have a better way. So if you WANNA see the world we're a happy person sees the world and you may already know if you already. Are that kind of person. See if this works for you see if this is what you're already doing if you're not listened closely and this might be a big challenge for you because I'm GonNa tell you you're gonNA get out of bed tomorrow morning so I'm going to do this. I'M GONNA go see the world who a happy person does and it's GonNa be Kinda hard to really have to be committed to it ready first off happy people like you're GonNa be our right now except that life brings problems it does. You're going to get rain yard just when you don't need it. It's going to snow just when you don't want it. Gave you a flat tire right minute. Middle that snowstorm archerd. So it's going to happen when you least expect it. Something's going to happen so happy. People kind of accept that now. I'm going to tell you I don't know that happy. People always go. Whoa look at that a problem. I think they probably go just kind of deal with it at all. I say most everything that we run into our life is self inflicted and it is a privilege it is. I was driving a Porsche through the mountains. One TIME COMING DOWN DENVER INTO DENVER out of a Frisco Colorado racing the airport really cool car and I got a flat tire I was running late and he was about twenty five degrees. I don't know what to do. Started to grow a little bit and then I was looking around with Iraqi balanced. Kinda hard to do that about that time. Construction work on the side of the road came up and said I can help you with that. I couldn't get man. It was drowned. Fancy car is in the mountains the Rocky Mountains Colorado. I was going to go take an airplane. Ride still remember to this day. You saw it a little bit differently. You don't ever to happy. People they recognize. That problems are a privilege just like that driving. The Mountains Porsche comes with being alive. It truly is a privileged one day. You won't have that privilege so life is going to bring a problem and it's a privilege of being alive is why you got that problem. Happy People do get frustrated but they don't give up you see. They realized that while we don't want them and we try to do everything we can. Make sure we don't have problems in our life. Problems are normal. They're going to happen from time to time. Just when you least expect it. Happy People know that they also know that. They need to accept responsibility for solving. Those problems are just hoping they go away. Not just hoping somebody else will take care of it but actually solving those issues this problems that come into your life because they're going to be there anyway and if you had the ability to solve them personally. I believe that's a privilege because a lot of folks don't have that mindset if you literally can say well this is not what anybody else wants to change. Make better I nor do I. I'd rather not but I have the skill set and I had the right attitude. Let me go fix it. Happy People also deal with anything like threads throws at them they do you do to you very much the same. If you're not completely happy in your world but really happy people just say here comes and then they go sleep and they try to sleep the best they can and then they get up and they do it all over again and probably say just like I do. Let's see what happens today.

"That insurance is enough to protect. You insurance covers most all the clients. Don't have to worry about an idiot number awesome place but he didn't understand. Is that insurance companies only protecting against negligence. They don't protect you against any type of liability so you're making by You Mail clients not protected by insurance any agreements that united to contracts those breach-of-contract lines now protected by insurance. And you're probably doing these things every single back right and if you have assets in your personal name you're making those community you sign this contract person every single one of those things and this country three as enough to have a lawsuit that could completely all your assets right and so for me. That's too much rest from the get-go so if you can afford to do more insurance and you can't do these. Complicated structures with a series of the enemy thrust. I just creating see do something right. There stages that you can build this stuff like Lego blocks and it's going to be the affordable for you at no matter what level you're at that you won't have to go back and Redo so if you're like man. I wonder if the stuff is complicated. It's too expensive or whatever those the issues that I had to work through his stuff makes sense for different people reach out to us. We're going to help you figure out where that points going to be for you and what's going to make sense thanks for you both short-term and long-term I love it. Thank you for joining us today. I real quick what does it typically cost. And then we're GONNA WE'RE GONNA end for the day but what does it. Typically cost is to create a series. LLC what can I expect in terms of how long it would take to actually get it done so the whole where we typically see doesn't cost people may less spend ten thousand dollars or real estate investors. Everything sat out renting protected with everything that I talked about here today now we do in conjunction with lots of soul for one okay structures in self directed. IRA's to deal the you've loved to sixty two thousand dollars a year on their taxes. And they can use that money to then go make more investments and able to use an all kinds of ways to increase so every single client that I'd come into Rls we've been able to use tax structures offsets all of the costs to be able to create all of the entities that they need very ended up being a cost neutral solution for almost everybody at the front end. And you're one every other year people are making money by working with us. I love that what does and where would somebody find out how to get more information and kind of go through that process with you. "A Delaware statutory trust to be able to avoid franchise taxes another great way a little twist for those California people out there that are tired getting hammered by the taxes. The net effect is is that what the series of all see or the DSP in for purposes of this conversation. Let's talk about series of all. See the series. The result is that you're able to do one entity one entity that you have to create and maintain that's filed with the state and you can create it or different states that have strong asset protection either Delaware Texas Nevada or Wyoming. Those are the ones that have strong charging more protection for the. LLC's now we look. Let's define charging orders because not all of us are our attorneys. We get that those are the four most friendly states I mean you said Texas Texas and Nevada Wyoming Delaware that makes sense to anybody. WHO's a business person? But what does it mean why. Why are those four states the most important to set up your entity structure sure in the question becomes a couple of two different things that I look at one house? Well will these. LLC's actually work at their challenged states like California orange. LLC's are almost worthless right Florida's saint thing right so it matters where we form that. Also you that's why initially everybody was in Delaware and using everywhere else Delaware was the I out into the market space of saying we're GONNA have the most aggressive loss I'm gonNA find out. He's other states right. They've fallen sued. Because some of that business too right so they've entered into the marketplace in place right. So now what you the legal terms define how strong. LLC's is what's called charging protection so if you want to research that on your own owned that would be to say. Hey what are they charging protections each of these different states. And you'll be able to find out. Why ask the protection attorneys Like myself look for only these four for states all right so inquiry into it right. The other thing that I look for is What is my ongoing cops right? So out of those were states. Delaware Nevada and Wyoming. All ongoing costs. Texas is the only state that doesn't right so you can have the best protection with no ongoing costs. If you form in the state of Texas I I just live here in Austin Texas. I form these up anywhere right. They just use use taxes because it allows us that extra ability to be able to form a formula formula strong protections. Make sure that's going to be cost effective and a lot of people don't know is that when you're in Texas you can also create the series of all season anonymously if you do them appropriately through author which means all of the entity structuring is not only anonymous on the paper because it's all structured through a law firm it all ties back to a law firm and is protected by the attorney client privilege so it's actually the strongest love entity you can have if you structure these through offers so people just couldn't find you to do a lawsuit is what you're saying. Or if they did they'd come up to Scott and Scott would tell them to go away. Yeah so this is the way it works right. It's because because everything is hidden at every level all of my clients are hidden a high truss structures of the entity level and the individual asset level. So if anybody looking into just say hey. What is Daniel Ramsey own right? Yeah it's up by Truss. Structures Blind Trust. They can't find anything else about them that it looks like it all ties so law firm. So this means that anybody's looking to sue. They have to spend tons of money and resources and start taking big guesses about what you get out of this lawsuit so not it makes their job incredibly really difficult and makes the lawsuit itself less appealing as a business venture right. Now there's more risk associated with will they ever be able to collect anything at it all and and that barrier is enough to stop people from going on a fishing expedition. Basically exactly yeah. We talk about India's media entities how you stop lawsuits before they ever start and the reason that we use the series. LLC structure is because with the series LLC compartmentalized is every single asset for free essentially able to create LLC's on your desktop at zero costs zero on us in ongoing cost so you get this. Infinitely steel will structure sure. It doesn't get more complex as you grow and it doesn't cost you anything as a gross. So if they do ever designed to suit because just because somebody's anonymous doesn't mean they can't actually file a lawsuit in some right. It just becomes really difficult for them to if they do they get little to nothing. So it makes it worthy disincentivize the lawsuit by shrinking pool of assets. They come after so not only was the pain and I had to spend a ton of money to be able to find out information once they started lawsuits and they got really bad news that there's not much there recover after. So what do you think they do. They either become very reasonable with their settlement amounts. Or if I'm actually representing you in that litigation which I do for clients all over the country a combination with whatever the local council is we need those people to walk away by using the type of aggressive strategies. I learned from the District Attorney's office and also fighting with insurance companies. I love it I love it. So what what you're saying is you used to do. You have to file an LLC for every property but now with the series you're LLC's there. Are you create your operating doc on your laptop and doesn't cost you anything. It's infinitely you can do ten at a time for ten different properties. No problem no problem at all right and you can. You can hold anything in these results so your your stocks your tash intellectual property really at the end of the day. When I found out from my podcast August real estate nerds and and being part of groups of people that have not worse? You go into that. Nine figure is risky. Don't own stuff and they don't pay taxes and there's a really good reason for that is because rich people don't own things they have companies that control the reason. Why is because a rich person understands that if I ever get sued I want to not have to care about? And that's ultimately at the end of the day is the kind of peace of mind that we deliver is the you don't have to care about Lawson's anymore. Kind of peace of mind mine. Who can touch you to do? And so we're trying to get there in a couple of different ways right. We're getting there with the anonymity we're getting there with the series structure because it can maintain in everything at one day coming out as long as we have accurate accounting where we tag the income and expenses for each individual property on that's a requirement that we have to have but that's way easier than having twelve different bank accounts for all your LLC using drugs that comes into play likely you're able to screw that up to if you have too many LLC's which means you create a change armor so simplifying your operations not only means that it's your time and money but also better protection for a way as you go because less opportunities to make mistakes and we've combined that with ownership of individual pieces of real estate with incorporation of land trust so he's property that we We advise our clients is the most does the time goes on the property inside of your person in because that's how you're going to get. SSI yet right. I'm enclosing transfer the property into the land. That's owned by your series a lousy. That's how we're going to create the anonymity. They'll see that you used to on it but you don't own it anymore And by transfer into the land via the transfer these taxes which becomes exceptionally important for people live in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. I if done correctly the only I I know that knows how to do that correctly by the way the other thing that we do is able to avoid the wants. L. Clause has the transfer to trust of ways to do on sale cost per the saint-germain act. So you don't have to worry about the conditions mortgage keeping you from being Hewlett transfer over. We're able to do it all in-house so they have one person to contact everything. When when do you think that this becomes important for real estate investor like at what let stage or net worth or business sized you you typically find your clients saying wow? This is amazing. This really works or this has been very valuable for me. Typically find in. Here's out my head butts at everybody's church just getting started right and you have less than fifty thousand dollars of total net worth. Don't set anything of any of the stuff. Yeah just use your insurance policies if you WANNA be extra careful. Incorporate umbrella policy on top of normal liability policy elsie. It's not been greatest protection but it's going to help you most circumstances that are gonna pop up right when we started getting above that if you hundred thousand dollar network then that when it's GonNa make sense to go ahead and push to have the expense to be able to create all the entity structuring. That's your in place and the reason why is because at that place at that fifty to one hundred thousand dollar mark..

Nobody to be listening is that you're likely like me. I have a business. You're likely like me. I own real estate. And you're likely like me and you have income and assets that you want to protect and taxes. You don't WanNa pay so we've got Scott here. Let's start with something that I've recently done to protect my company and are real estate holdings is a series. LLC So let's talk about that real quick got your. I'm one of your clients so that's also a good endorsement for anybody's listening. It's definitely a good thing to kind of wrap. I mean the way you're you're you're entity structure just kind of so unique. So let's start there and talk. How do you structure real estate? Holdings to protect your long term investments series. LLC is the best tool old that's ever been invented. It's been around for about twenty years now right. I actually found out about the series. Lafayette through my own business and real estate investing I've been doing that full-time for rallied. Eight years now. I got my first property while I was in law school. It was a transition an auto repair shop that I bought the building and business for the back taxes. I figured can't lose on this Davey. Well it turns out to be a ton of work while you're trying to go through all school full time to be able to do that right so not a lot of sleep happened for those couple of of years by big payoff. This ELLENA was real. Estate is because when I graduated law school I flip the business in the building to be the only person my classic Graduate School Komo debt and I love it. Gave you the flexibility to go in and try something I always wanted to do which was being a heart organization. I mean I worked at the district attorney at Both of the trump word and the word and also worked in private practice ensuing insurance out his come to find out these profit-seeking rain galls insurance. Companies are really great collecting premiums. UH-HUH NASA paying out on the coverage when the rubber hits the road especially when it comes to date claims right so I was working doing my legal work still doing real estate intelisano. I was making more money doing real estate. That was doing the law so I just quit a lodge. I'm out of here. I'm going back and real estate. 'cause I've loved the passive income. I love the fact that I and build. Wealth was leveraged structures. I love the time freedom to create for myself because I could see how my income is going to be able to create the time for me to be able to the focus on the things that I love to do. I mean I love January jumping out of airplanes being out with free time all around in the boasted for peace for the was. It couldn't get taken in a week from me. Everything else I had seen in life it can get taken away from you in the snap right run that lawsuit one bad decision. When changed the more everything sitting in my top right on our real estate investing? Is that the energy that I was putting in built like a sheet juggernaut. That was gonNA eventually you need to the financial freedom which is where I hit now along time ago right now my life is dedicated to helping other people get there. But at the time when I started I was rough off. Because I was accumulating low of these assets and I said what the heck am I supposed to do the journey and I can't figure this out how legal tax the insurance and banking the accounting all of the pieces that come into play as for stealing Real Estate Investment Company. So it is. I read all the books and because I was calling about a client all the authors and actually talk to me and share with me their secrets of. What are they able to get the work when I did as I put that all of this myself when I go to meet up Earth's Orissa the other types of networking groups that I was into at the time people ask? Scott what are you doing. How does other things? You're doing work and so I tell them I say. Hey this is what it is. I know I'm a huge proponent of everything I know people and that's continues as fundamental value from oil depot solutions and come to find out I just by looking to share ear. All of the information for people is. Hey can you help me set that up and I accidentally started this locker because it ended up being needed so many people needed the hell that is kind of. I found my niche of my way to have my big impact was being able to help other people walk up not just one small aspect of the life but everything together and that turns where we use the series of Elsie structure using an emmy tressler combining the estate planning combining auditing companies in conjunction with these unserious LLC entities and. I have to admit that I actually forgot your question by the time I got through this. Well let's talk about the problem that you solve with a a series LLC. I mean as a real estate investor I had so many different entities because this bank wanted structured a particular way this partner wanted to put in twenty twenty percent of the equity. I put cash in this one but not in that one and this one was leveraged differently so I ended up with seven different. LLC's to hold twenty twenty nine different properties. And I think your solution gets just gets rid of all that complexity. So let's talk about the problem that the series LLC solves solves for people. Hey.

"It is hard to hear about violence against children and even harder to talk of it you hear that in the voice of Scott Smith the police chief of Gilroy California where the victims in a mass shooting were as young as six any time a life is lost at sea tragedy Florence young people it's even worse one dash our system is very difficult police chief in Gilroy California and peers Layla Fadhel is been on the ground in Gilroy and is on the line let the good morning good morning what even sing well last night I attended a visual and people gathered together in the hundreds to sharing our shock their pain but also sharing each other strength in the faith face of such a tragedy leaders and community members vowed not to allow other town in this festival to be defined by this violence you know the Gilroy garlic festival has been going on for some four decades most people and go right volunteer they attend and a lot of the survivors I spoke to who ran when they heard bullets were young like the people killed so take a listen to Britney Mendoza a sixteen year old from Gil right hi Lewis at the festival when the shooting started while it happened I was kind of like trying to laugh it off Michael you know we're saying but I soon as I got in the car and it started hitting me and how I started cracking a little and that's when I got in shape no windows survive but others weren't so lucky she said she was there with her sister and her dad to more in the lives of those that were killed and be with her community we've referred a couple of times to the use of those who were killed what is known about some of them yes I mean they were young Trevor Herby of Romulus New York twenty five he recently moved to California his alma mater Cuba college posted about is killing on Facebook a thirteen year old girl named Kayla Salazar from San Jose California and a little boy just six years old name Stephen Romero we've seen his smiling picture circulated and he was killed and a number of people wounded as well of course and then there is the single person and it is a single person right so far that that that is held responsible for this well at this point the police had been looking and are looking for a second person and the witnesses identified but they're not sure if anybody else was involved if this person even exists okay so one person and what is said about the one person you know his name is something people don't want to talk about they don't want to mention him they don't want to give them a platform but the police did identify him he's a nineteen year old originally from Gilroy he bought that assault style rifle legally in Nevada on July ninth where gun laws are less restrictive and he cut through a fence and enter the festival on Sunday where he started shooting and killing people in his own hometown and at this point FBI doesn't no motive police said they don't know a motive there's a lot of speculation about an Instagram post that was attributed to the gunman that references and nineteenth century white power manifesto but authorities don't know if this account was the gunmen and they don't know if this was a random act of violence or driven by a specific ideology Layla what thoughts occur to you as you cover this mass shooting haven't covered a number of them before including the nation's worst shooting in Las Vegas and you hear some of these phrases which are are the appropriate things to say but people say them again and again that this is a tragedy but will be strong will get beyond that and the other things that people have to say yeah I think it's there is this horrible routine almost to the way that mass shootings now unfold and most people were insisting this cannot be normal this cannot become normal and yet in a way it has later thanks
