The firm market is still in an incredibly uncertain time with this whole corona virus thing going on everything that's going on and in the economy. Boy. It's really it's really unclear. Everything kind of happened at once kind of the perfect storm here for this firm market. So if you've got for. You know for harvesters is talking about having an auction. They're planning on having an auction in August, assuming that things are in better shape and travel is opened up the boy, this whole second wave, or this second part of the first wave, or whatever people are calling. It now is pretty vicious. There's a lot of of virus spreading around a lot going on so. WHO KNOWS WE? All of these states might be shut back down and. We may not be having an auction so anyway. Somebody asked me this week about store, and for get it in the freezer. Get it in the freezer, and if you can get it vacuum-sealed or get an in some plastic bags and suck all the air out of it as much air out of as you can that's the best way to store for right now. from your home and Yeah just the hang tight. Hang tight a lot of people. There are people that won't be trapping this year this fall so that that's going to you know it's it's unfortunate. It's unfortunate to see you know. There's you look at trends like I look at trends on on the website and stuff. Number of people that are visiting the podcast listenership is actually stayed pretty steady, which is nice, but you know website traffic is way down people searching for trapping people looking for for market information. That stuff is all way down. The past few months, so the the low firm market is is having an impact I know there's some trapping supply companies that are feeling the pain from this cost brose doing great, but there's you know there's some. Like, Dakota Line just announced that they're going to stop discontinue retail sales and just focus on on wholesale so they're not. They're not going to have a catalog anymore. They're not gonNA GONNA fulfill orders for for retail trapping supplies. So that's a big change and I'm sure there's going to be more that more that that happen takes place and shakes up in the industry so. Something to keep an eye on, but I still get emails from guys from you. Guys that are just getting into trapping or your Your made a life change, and you finally have more time to trap, and you're getting settled into a different area or whatever so there's there's always new people getting into it regardless of what the market does and remember we trapped for so many different reasons other than just the firm market. So, hanging there guys do rely on a paycheck to trap. It's GonNa be tough for a while, but. I was one of those things that we don't have a lot of control over, so we do a weekend, and maybe maybe you adjust your trap line based on your expectations, but. We will come out of this at some point and. If if you believe that at some point is sooner rather than later. Then you probably want to have some fertile to sell right I mean. It's a be a good idea to have verte sell. When we come out of this and the market comes back. You don't WanNa. Be waiting a waiting around for trap season to to be able to actually catch subverted, take advantage of of a rejuvenated firm, arc and some high prices so. There was a lot of debate over that a lot of doubt in people's minds as to whether that actually took place, but there was a research article that was published in two thousand, eighteen by some wildlife biologists here in Maine. That that kind of lays out the whole story on what they found. And one of the listeners to this show actually got a hold of. Another podcast that they listen to the lone star outdoor show and Kinda mentioned this whole idea of of the Fisher. Killing links thing and. the lone star Guy Actually I. Scott McClellan last couple of years does a pretty good job putting the team together than things go haywire there than Bruce Allin winds up firing Scott, McCoy now he's got more power than he ever did before. So one thing led to another lead to another all the while Dan. Snyder saw bruce. to the first freedoms that we have in this country he said the bill of rights is above my pay grade and they're not even thinking about that love to start thinking about the power and control they I guess they figured out of the left if I say you'll die unless you listen to me we're all gonna listen we also have all stayed over two months for god sakes exactly by the way that's what climate changes that's what that we're all going to die in ten years unless you get rid of your cars stopped flying in airplanes give up you know you get your air conditioning need me I don't eat red meat all right because right all going to die yeah it's the fear and the scare that the left uses are and if they use in the past and you mentioned Obama Obama is not good enough for modern day left to see more he didn't go far enough you member that did that the primary on the left was how quickly can we move past the llama didn't do enough and that's that's a demonstration of where we are they threw him under the bus in the D. backs which was not to me it is Pete hegseth get his book American crusade our fight to stay free and again I mean it's it's as if you knew something was coming but I but nobody saw this that it would be this big now you've talked recently about herd immunity which is a real thing are you and I are young at all for healthy enough we stay in shape we work out my mother maybe is at risk I certainly people with pre existing health health conditions or risk why didn't we say Hey you folks let's take care of you the rest of us are gonna go to work many of us might have had it and had no idea we had it and got rid of it so the other day you dared say herd immunity is a real thing let's go out there and get the virus and get rid of it Hey man you've been thrown into the Abbas big time I took a picture they're sitting at home it protected by his bubble well he tells me to get corona virus we have one out of my bubble as fast as I can I I happen to be in a in a line of work and all of knowledge this where I can do it from a sky camera at home I work in a studio in New York City when there's nobody else in there on the only host in the studio so yes I am privilege I know that right now but there are a lot of people who have to go out every day wear personal protective equipment all of that I get that but America is premised on respecting people enough to allow them to take the information they have and make choices for their own life and if we lock down for another two weeks another month we're going to shut down our economy to the point where lives people's lives a room even more than they already are and so I understand why the president took the measures that he did there was a ton of pressure to act when he's taking the right approach he said guidelines here's the guidelines guys it's the governors that say lockdown lockdown lockdown in what they say is the more cases we find the longer we have to stay locked down that's not how it works if we find new cases and people are recovering that may be an indication that the virus is spread further than we thought right most people were a symptomatic so data is a pesky things so I took a lot of heat but I'm not saying everyone should run out and try to get it I'm saying people are going to get it at some point we have to move on in our lives in healthy people should have the choice to make those decisions it can't just be target Walmart that are open I asked for stores to buy something the other day that I could have bought it at and I had to wait in line to football field lot size line at target to get it this is insane and the people get it right it is insane and I think you're absolutely right by the way every court challenge on these Gestapo like to radical moves by Michigan hell right down the road in San Antonio where I'm based they just said you can't say China virus if you say China virus or kung fu virus it's hate speech Pete I will send a forty to investigate you thank god the court system is still in place to work every challenge has been upheld I know everyone eligible first amendment has been up held me should be go ahead it's one of the biggest legacies of this president frankly is what he's done in the judiciary not just the Supreme Court but the way he's pumped judges out there it's gonna outlive him big time right and thank god we have to shield of our declaration of the constitution that's the old me there was only one party in this country and it's true it used to be bipartisan it's not anymore that knows that our rights are given to us by god and it is government's job to protect those rights not say you can have this one right now and not that one right now and that's where I love the common sense wisdom of regular people who say let me open my hair salon because I can socially distance properly in doing it and and the left loses their mind then she alternately winds and and thankfully you know Texas leads you guys get more more things right than what you hear although the big cities are getting more more blue it's American crusade actually the book American crusade or fight to stay free number one bestseller in general elections a political process going get it right now you can pre order right now it's Pete hegseth is the author and also the host of fox and friends weekend so as we're watching all of this unfold we also see the fake news doing its best to to potentiometer knob and wrong trump bad orange man bad he he delayed himself in reacting that's what we have so many cases what inspectors a new Netflix documentary that is not necessarily positive about Donald Trump infected it promotes Bill Gates who I think is there some vaccination issue with Bill Gates so we'll get to some other time but this says if China would have acted quicker he could have stopped it from leaving the country period but nobody on the left wants to acknowledge that this is only about hatred for trump is about trying to get power controlled central government what exactly is the reason behind CBS news faking a big line in grand rapids or CNN the other day just completely getting the story wrong have to apologize what do you think that's happening they have to know it doing it it's two fold I think it worked two full it's within always been there just hasn't been a social media and other checks on them and that's a number of times on the nightly news in the sixties and seventies and eighties and nineties the sin of omission was committed just like they edited bill bars answer but no one knew about it because there was no way to check it what is always it's always been who they are but then Donald Trump has accelerated their hatred by calling them out for calling them by name I talk about.

What I achieved through podcasting in 2019
"I've been thinking about the end of the year. I've had some thoughts but it really kind of came together today when I was on a consultation call earlier and I mean really really early I was on a consultation call with another podcast. He was wanting to make sure that he was using Hindenburg. And some of the plug ins that he had as best he could. He had some isotope. Oh products waves plug in the stuff. That comes standard on your apple computer. We were talking about all of that stuff and it was. It was a real delight to talk with him about what he's doing about about the work there that he's got and then I had a few and I do mean just a few tips and suggestions but it's just so much fun to see a podcast or doing well and I really really liked to do more of that. which got me thinking about this past year and then what? I'd like to see in the year to come to dominate share. Some of the things that I've been able to did you over the past year or so and then a couple of tweaks that I'd like to make for next year and I also have a question for you. I'd like your feedback on because it involves this specific acidic show so as I entered twenty twenty. I had some goals for myself and for what I'm doing with my show as well as for building a business business that sustains itself and provides income for my family it's not replacing my day job but it does provide income and so I really kind of focused first on building a stronger foundation in particular. I was focused on editing and over the past year including my show and some other shows I've been able to to be involved in the production of over two hundred sixty two episodes. That's the engaging missions show this show one thousand podcasters now coming in at episode ninety one. Then I've ended a couple of shows my friend Scott McClellan. I've got a few shows that I can't talk about that are over a hundred episodes just between those and then a new lunch that I was able to do a couple of episodes four and I think I've got a couple more coming but in total. That's two hundred sixty two episodes that I've been able to edit. I've also been. I was able to take a sponsor for the engaging missions show a couple of different sponsors covering a total of six months. I was able to work on an audio book for my friend Michael and then it was also able able to consult with at my current. Count eight different podcasters directly in some fashion whether we were helping them get started or helping with fixing audio problems. That kind of thing. Eight consultations also guest on three different shows. The podcast engineering show just podcasting and start to finish podcasting all all told not counting facebook and one off chats and things like that I was able to help eighteen different podcasters whether it was by editing. A show or a consultation Asian or any number of other things. And that's what I enjoy doing is knowing that what I'm doing is helping other podcasters get going and keep going whether it's something that I'm doing directly or something that I'm helping by helping provide some guidance or something like that however there were also some things that I didn't get to that I thought were maybe high leverage things I said I just I just couldn't get to our just didn't whether it was fear that held me back or lack of time management or whatever. There are some things that didn't get to. And if you're like me there's probably some stuff you you didn't get to as well. I was wanting to get a hindenburg starter. Course going and I didn't get that done was also wanting to be involved in more podcast launches and I wasn't able to do that and then also. I wanted to add another editing style to the editing packages that I

I heard from Scott McClellan the other day Stott, Chris Kyle. Of course lists the office dot wrote the book, they collaborated together. Scott is totally behind Clint skate back Clinton. He grease with everything we're saying and is part of the effort to try to get Clinton prisoner. What can we what can we do as a massive audience to help you on? Right. First of all, right. I four westbound after Conroy two right lanes blocked delays all the way back to the fort wait for about thirty minutes and take the four zero eight westbound Kirkman road southbound as an alternate. I'm Ed Torrence, news ninety six point five WDBO. This is news ninety six point five WDBO wish. I'd had done differently. Wish you were trying to get Sean out. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Sure. I'll go through the whole thing in the book. And you were trying to get you liked. You thought scare Mucci was a good fit. I did. I did. I thought that the one thing he really got was kind of the thing. I was just talking about which is he was willing to subordinate his views to the president. And he was a fierce defender of the president and the workplace culture and the comms impress team. There was really really bad and scare Mucci. I mean, people say what they want about him. But he's a fun guy. He's got a big heart. And he loved the president. I thought that was going to be a good fit. So Scott McClellan was somebody wrote a book about the Bush years took it a call now. Bush forty one forty three a calling out a call rove in particular ain't got a poison the well to all his friends. Dana Perino was there witness. Did she felt especially frontier because that was their boss technically at the time, Hugh, she weighed in on you yesterday cut thirty one. It's a friend of mine who knows him suggested that he wants to be Alabama's Omarosa. Not a compliment. Okay. This is what I think. I don't care. What might have happened in Kellyanne office, if you are the staffer, and you're there, and do you think that it's inappropriate you should resign? But I think it's raining highly inappropriate to then go sell books, especially while the president is still in office. And yes, maybe the book portrays the president positively, but it doesn't matter. They're in a new cycle. That is not good for them. Right now. This guy goes out and makes a million dollars advance for a book a million dollars or this book, and he goes out, and I will be very hard for him to be trusted again by anyone and he's a talented young person. And I think that he has a lot. He had a lot of promise I think it was a bad decision. He could have written this book after the administration, and that would have been a better time to do it. Do you want to take that on? Well, I think that's an understandable perspective. And I get where she's coming from on that. But you know, alternately I would say what was missing what I thought was really missing was a fair and honest portrayal of what's going on in there. I mean, look right now, it is almost impossible to watch the media and figure out what's true. And what's not it is not an onerous book. This is not a burn the place down book. I think it's in some ways it is a service to the American people and in ways to the president because here's the truth about it. And I think if people read that going into twenty twenty they're able to make an honest assessment of what they think of him what they think of the people that are around him, and that's going to be an important thing. As people go to the polls and vote in two thousand twenty. So you're you're helping the voter by writing the book, I think so I think so because we're going to get it. I mean, look, I I take on Bob Woodward's book, for instance. But what were the most legendary journalists in America, and I point out very specifically. How? How he he? There are some things in that book that are made up out of thin air. I'm not saying he made them up. I'm saying he's reliant on these anonymous sources Reno. You know, we we guests who some of them are. But we don't know we don't know what their agenda is look I put my name on it. You know, like I said, it's not I burn the place down. Let's make up some stories to kill him. It's not gonna make up some stuff to make. It seem the greatest thing ever. I feel like this is the only offering right now in the space. It's like a firsthand account. I was in the room. I don't have to rely on other sources, and I'm willing to put my name equipped who'd hire you. Now, I've got a lot of corporate consulting clients. Now, the ultimate look, here's the thing. My identity is not wrapped up in being political staffer. I don't frankly care if I ever worked in Washington again, I came to this to Washington DC at a at a unique time in history to serve a president. And I served him loyally faithfully and well while I was there. And if I never worked in politics again, that's okay. Because my identity is wrapped up in my faith, not in what my job is. Right. But do you think you being unfaithful by telling these stories behind the scenes about people that probably don't want them toll? I think it would be unfaithful to tell lies, and I think it would also. Oh, be unfair to here for five hundred days. You could everything that comes out of Trump's mouth is news worthy. You could write twenty seven volumes on the things. He says the stories that I tell I think make a larger point about who Donald Trump is. And what he's about it. Just before we go rate his first two years. The one to ten. I think on policy I'd give it an eight. I look I'm a conservative. I'm for all this stuff. I fought hard for all that stuff. Stylistically lot of. It's not my style. I'd rate it a little bit lower on that the way that that he's that he's so combative. But I also understand that because he's under siege. All day. Do you? Do you believe that he wants to win reelection? I do. Yeah. Do you believe he will? I think if the Democrats nominate last seen in the book, he says, the Democrats are gonna nominate a nealer quote, unquote, where he's like talking about, you know, the American flag protesting point is like a far left socialist type. We're gonna have ourselves another big picture election which direction do we wanna go? I don't think the country wants to go that direction. I think you wins this Howard Schultz things. Probably the best news that he's hurting a long time to if he runs as an independent and siphons off even more of those Democrats than Yay. Get think he's got a real shot. All right. And by the way by him tweeting at your book and criticizing it think it's top five Amazon. Yeah. That's right. That's right. I cook seems great to see you again. Best of luck down the road. He's author of team of his five hundred extrordinary days in the White House cliffs him stanks. Thanks for having me back in a.
