"The stuff that's a drag for me is that that HR stuff. So doing quarterly reviews, people that that's not fun. We can't tell by your voice. Two things. So it was very popular, just good, good news, bad news. Everyone wants to car wash at work. Said, how do we make people give us feedback? It's kind of counterintuitive, but. Developed in York Stock Exchange with Jim Cramer on mad money and all those things that that always wanted to do. Go ahead and introduce yourself, and you can just tell us where you're coming from and what you do today. Hey, my name is Scott lingo. I am CEO and co. Founder of spooky are URL is gets fifty dot com. And I'm a serial entrepreneur built four businesses. This is number four, and I am based out of Research Triangle park, North Carolina. Where's Research Triangle park in case people know. Yep. So the three cities in the triangle are Raleigh, Chapel Hill Durham. So we're one of the tech centers of the United States here where you born and raised in the area. I'm actually from South Carolina. There's a little town called Aitken only people that golf or ride horses go that Aitken it's golf, it's near Augusta, Georgia, where the masters, and then it's a big question town. So a lot of people that are into horse riding go there. I do neither. So I've just there and went to university of South Carolina than NC state in Raleigh really loves this area kind of stuck here. You said you're was fifty. Could you tell us a little bit about what's is we do. On demand car wash in detail. So you download an app or you go to our website and you can schedule a car wash were active in five markets wherein Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Dallas. What made you wanna go ahead and start car washing company where you're doing that before handing because you said your serial entrepreneur. So the company has started before stiffy is called channel advisor. We help ecommerce company sell on EBay, Amazon and places like that brands and retailers. So I've been in ecommerce for fifteen to twenty years, but I think it's really interesting about the on demand economy is machine products. Go digital with the evolution of ecommerce in Amazon and whatnot. Over the last twenty years, I think services are the next step. I think once you have that kind of Uber experience where you press a button on your phone and things happen in the real world, you get addicted to that. So wanted to get involved in that space. And I was already in the car wash business on the side and just seemed like a natural progression for decided to test it in its gone from testing to really scaling up pretty quickly pick it back even further. Can you tell us about going to college and graduating? Did you just start entrepreneurship from there? Is that when the serial enterpreneurship started yet, so I got a master's in looking at jobs and I got an offer from Motorola in a startup. My dad was a startup guy is kind of funny who's kind of in the startup world before it was to be a startup kind of said, is a little depressing interviewing at a big company 'cause they kind of laid out my entire life for me twenty two in their kinda like, here's what the next fifty years of your life looks like. And for them, there was a song point for me is kind of depressing. So went and joined a startup in Connecticut, and I'm from here in the south, and I really spent three years realized I really like startups and that was a good way to experience the star lifestyle without taking any. You know, the real risk myself, but I realized I'm not great at cold weather. So moved back here to the triangle and started my first business in nineteen ninety-five. So the first couple of years you're north, would you came back to save up money from your old job to start up your new company. Can you tell us about that company? So I and two other buddies started. It was called. Software is really an investment in sweat equity to Gaza, we put like five k in which for us was our savings. So fifteen case seed money, if you will, using modern terminology. So per product out there and it was well received and we kept iterating, we got it up to about twelve million run rate. So a million dollars a month in revenue and quite profitable. But growth started slow down because I think we actually had saturated this little pool of folks who are selling into. We ultimately ended up song. It took public company kind of convincing them that it was something that they could sell. We didn't do anything internationally, for example. So we convinced them they could double the revenue just by selling it internationally, which which they subsequently did. So it was a great first company to start in have a lot of the pressures of venture capital and debt, and all those kinds of things. How do you go about turning find someone to buy the company? In my experience, a lot of these things come out of partnerships. So we were actually talking to the company that quired us. We approached them and said, hey, you guys have all these sales people in Europe. We get a lot of demand from Europe. We can't really sell there because we can't support it. What if you. Guys solve our software in Europe. And as we got to know the management team, it just kinda worked out where they said we could do that, but it's not really what we're built for. We'd rather get all the revenue than share some with you and we rather own the entire thing. So then there was a couple of back and forth and whatnot. And then ultimately, we got to appoint where without the valuation made a lot of sense and sold the business Thome. Could you tell specifically what the software did? Yes. So there's it's pretty geeky. So there's this developer software that Microsoft has most people know visual basic. It's big brothers called visual, c. plus plus. So we sold add on to that system. So visuals c. plus plus out of the box. Let's you build applications that do certain things, but not others. Everyone wants to application look like Microsoft Office, which is the fanciest of radical user interfaces, but out of the box, you can kind of do note pad. So our software helped bridge that gap. So we had a lot of the fancy little widgets for pop down menus and things. We had a spreadsheet kinda module a lot of these kinds of things. That would enable the developer to save a ton of time and make their application look more like that Microsoft Office level than kind of notepads so case. You are wondering right now we're switching mice because I kept hearing clicking noise and we kept trying to get rid of it. So we went ahead and switched. Mike for Scott here is
