A Colorado home after leaving heartbreaking suicide note apologizing to everyone, I let down end quotes. And so her name is Kylie Scott. She was found dead at her home in Denver, Colorado on Monday to no posted to Instagram and Facebook before she passed away, including a message that says I'm so sorry. Her name is Caylee. Appeared in a commercial in 2020 to celebrate transgender day of visibility which falls on March 31st. If you or someone you know is struggling and this is kind of a PSA from this article, but if anyone you know is struggling and thinking about committing suicide, there's a hotline at 9 8 8. It's what it says here in this article. It's very sad that this young lady took her life. You know, I'm just looking at the pictures of her had her pictures right here in the article. And this person has a family, this person had a future, this person should be loved, should be appreciated, but what happens is, is not the pressure from the outside world. It's that instead of thrust in these young people into transgenderism, we should probably spend a lot of time effort and energy and intelligence to get them to help they deserve.

Rich Baris Claims Ron DeSantis Has "Scott Walkered" Himself

"The desantis thing. You said yesterday on I think Steve Bannon's program that Steve that you think Steve Bannon, I'm sorry, you think that Ron DeSantis Scott walker himself, what do you mean by that? So this was, again, if you go back and look at it, I don't think anybody can make anyone can objectively look at that video and not come to the same conclusion. This was a very managed. They spent 72 hours almost working on the response and then the quib that he threw in there like a zinger. It was supposed to be and look, he's going to run for president, right? So he's not running yet, but it's fair game. Trump's taking shots at you. You know, Barnes and he was talking about this last night. I totally agree. He's taking shots at you. You can take shots on him back. But if you want to explain to the Republican voter that you're serious and you understand where we are right now as a country, what we're facing, that this is a, you know, I hate to use this word, but that this is a war for the soul of the country. Then you need to be more serious in this. And he could have Ron DeSantis could add a big moment yesterday. Even though we waited, which he should not have, he could have had a big moment. That was a canned, very Scott walker like response for those who don't know what I'm talking about. Second presidential debate, Scott walker was once considered a very strong governor, strong candidate, the dark horse of anything. And he killed himself 48 hours after he made that mister president. We don't need an apprentice in The White House. Courtesy of George will's wife, who he handed his campaign to and she ran it in the ground, very much, by the way, the same group of people, the Paul Ryan consultant class that announced around Ron DeSantis. So it shouldn't surprise anybody that the kind of content you're getting out of Ron DeSantis is what we saw from Scott walker.

Janet Yellen Questioned About Biden Admin's Reckless Spending

"Reasons why we have this problem right now is because the Federal Reserve printed so much money for so long and simultaneously the Biden administration handed out a third stimulus check along with multiple rounds of stimulus programs like the $1.2 trillion infrastructure plan to know where, along with the inflation reduction act of some 750 $1 billion that just created more inflation. I mean, you name it, they were there ready with a check, including to so many green energy companies, which by the way, SVB serviced. So there is some responsibility, believe me, I would say the bulk of the responsibility is on the federal government for the reckless spending and the reckless money printing that they engaged in over the last couple of years, and yet, when questioned by senator Scott Tim Scott, listen to what Janet Yellen says about this one. Well, this administration acknowledged that their reckless taxes spending contributed to not only the challenges that we see in everyday households, but also to challenges that we're facing today with SVB. Look, inflation is too high and it is the president's top priority to bring it down and there are many contributors to why inflation is too high. Importantly, fallout from the pandemic and Russia's war on Ukraine that boosted food and energy prices, many countries around the world. Suffer from the same problem. So she didn't really answer that one. All she said was inflation is high and it's because of all these other problems. No, no, no. Let me be very clear. Those other factors, Ukraine, et cetera, that certainly influence things as did your refusal to okay a bunch of fossil fuel contracts up until just the other day when reality finally set in and Biden had to go forward with the willow project in Alaska. But the main reason we have the inflation we have is because the federal government continued leaving the money spigot open for way too long way past the point of expiration. The

Trump's VP? Some in GOP already jockeying for consideration

"While it's known that former president Donald Trump is running again for the Republican nomination. The question remains of who might be his running mate, a shadow contest is underway with Republicans openly jockeying to position themselves as potential running mates with Donald Trump. Trump spoke during a swing through Iowa on Monday. We're going to have a lot of great choices for vice president. We're going to pick a great one. Three women who have been mentioned as possible contenders include representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, at least stefanik of New York, and news anchor turned failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Carrie Lake, who kissed a portrait of Trump that was placed on stage at the conservative political action conference this month. I don't know about you, but I say we spend every single day from here going forward striving to make America great again. According to people who have spoken to Trump, he's in no rush to make a decision, but allies say he is looking for someone who is unabashedly loyal. Trump has discussed other potential running mates, including Nikki Haley, South Carolina senator Tim Scott, Tennessee senator Marsha Blackburn, and Iowa governor Kim Reynolds. I am Jennifer King

Scott Presler Tells Us About the Wisconsin Supreme Court Race

"Us now is Scott pressler to actually connect the stories together, we're going to talk about Wisconsin and I have a feeling that our Wisconsin viewers are going to want to hear more about Aaron Rodgers than about the Supreme Court seat, but they should honestly care about this more. Scott, welcome to the program. I think it's the most important election in 2023. Talk to us about the Wisconsin Supreme Court seat. Thank you, Charlie. Well, I'm here in Wisconsin and Milwaukee. And what people need to understand is right now, the Supreme Court is for Republicans to three Democrats. But one Republican is retiring, meaning that on April 4th, if we are not successful at electing justice Daniel Kelly, the court will flip from conservative to liberal. And I want to remind our Wisconsin viewers that governor Evers, a Democrat, tried to impose a stay at home order. And it was just as Daniel Kelly that was the deciding vote that negated and nullified that stay at home order, providing for Wisconsin's schools to open businesses to open churches to open. So everything is on the line with this election. If you believe in gun rights and hunting rights and school choice and voter ID and proof of residency in all comes down to the all important election on April 4th for justice Daniel Kelly.

James Lawrence and Charlie Discuss the Case of Douglas Mackey

"Doing an event in Chicago and a young man came up and he buttered me up. He knew what radio station I was on, but he was a troll. And he said, quote, Charlie, that's why when the midterm elections came, I told all my Friends and family, there's only one way to stop the woke Democrat mafia, and that is to boycott these elections because they're never going to hear us if we don't really stop participating. It's a farce. It's a farce. Why should we participate? You said it yourself. Why should we participate? Now, I challenge him said, no, no, no, but he's a troll. He was a left wing activist, telling people not to vote, telling people he was trying to suppress the vote. I mean, the government is setting a precedent here that this young man should serve a decade in jail. And that's why we can't open this Pandora's box. That's why that's why it's so important that mister Mackey prevails in this case and that the door is slammed shut to this kind of prosecution because it will have a chilling effect on speech and it's just not where we should be going as a country. So again, I'd ask your audience to go on to meme defense fund dot com. So just spell it. Defense fund dot com. And I'd also like to encourage your audience at the same time. Romans 8 28 says all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose. And regardless of what the outcome is here in this case, ultimately we know who the author of history is and whatever the designs of the powers that be are, it's in God's hands, ultimately what happens in this case. And he will be glorified by the outcome of this. Regardless of which way it gets. Amen. But our prayer is that mister Mackie would be acquitted.

The Most Important Court Case of 2023 With James Lawrence

"Now is James Lawrence, who's an attorney for the Mackey legal defense fund. You may or may not remember, we talked about this a couple of weeks ago, and now it's going to trial. It's actually went through jury selection. I would go into trial. Of the case of Douglas Mackey. Where they're trying to put a young man in prison who made Internet memes and jokes about the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2016, and they're trying to lock him up and throw the key away. James joins us now. James welcome back to the program. Charlie, thanks so much for having me again. Good to be with you. So James, give us the update. What is the status of the trial or the jury selection, fill us in? Yeah, so I believe we're in day three of jury selection and mister Mackey's case. But since we last talked, there are two developments that I would like to make your audience aware of with respect to the case. The first involved the government's plan to introduce evidence from a confidential witness and to just give your audience context around that request. The Sixth Amendment guarantees the rights of Americans to be able to confront their accusers and open the court. It's something that goes to the core of the constitution as a native of Raleigh, north Carolina. I can tell you this is something that sir Walter Raleigh was complaining about from his prison cell and the Tower of London in the 1600s. I mean, this is how bad rock this is to our country. And in this particular case, the government plans to introduce testimony from a confidential witness whose name will be withheld from the public and the court has not only granted the government's request to keep that person anonymous, but also to prevent mister Mackey's trial team from engaging in a fullsome cross examination of the witness with respect to that individual's connections with the Federal Bureau of Investigation through the briefing, mister Mackey's defense team has learned that the confidential witness has a relationship with the FBI and back has pled guilty to the very same offense that mister Mackey is accused of and is continuing to work with the government, but

House Freedom Caucus offers deal to raise debt ceiling

"A summer showdown is brewing between President Biden and House Republicans over raising the nation's debt ceiling. The GOP wants to slash spending in exchange for raising the debt limit before a potential summer default and is soundly rejecting the president's new $6.9 trillion budget plan, while Republicans have not laid out their own plans. The conservative house freedom caucus has. The plan is to shrink Washington and grow America. Chairman Scott Perry says, among other things, they want to roll back about $400 billion in the president's student loan relief plan for a total savings of roughly $3 trillion. Followed by a career preserving silence of senior leaders military and civilian. As a result of the way that we've left Afghanistan, we're on the front end of a national security crisis as 27 violent extremist groups are now operating on former NATO security bases with Taliban top cover. And I think we're on the front end of a mental health tsunami. As 73% of our Afghan war veterans say they feel betrayed by how this war ended. Calls to the VA hotline have spiked 81% in the first year since the Afghan withdrawal. And they keep coming. And

Veterans testify of 'catastrophic' impact of Afghan collapse

"A house panel has heard firsthand testimony from active service members and veterans on the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021. I'm Ben Thomas, with some of what they had to say. For millions of people in Afghanistan and the U.S. Aiden Gunderson served as an army medic during the evacuation, he says he's plagued by the memories. I see the faces of all the people we can not save all those that we left behind. The majority of witnesses argued blamed for the fall of Kabul touches every presidential administration from George W. Bush to Joe Biden, retired green beret, lieutenant colonel David Scott Mann. America is building a nasty reputation from multi generational systemic abandonment of our allies that we leave as smoldering human wreckage from the montagnards of Vietnam to the Kurds in Syria. Testimony focused not on the decision to withdraw, but on what witnesses described as a desperate attempt to rescue American citizens in Afghan allies with little planning and inadequate support. Tyler Vargas Andrews then a marine sergeant detailed the horror after suicide bombers attacked the crowds at Kabul airport. He now wears a prosthetic arm to withdraw was a catastrophe in my opinion. And there was an inexcusable lack of accountability and negligence and they implored Congress to help the allies left behind. Peter lucier is a marine veteran, now working with team America relief assisting Afghans in relocating. It's not too late. We're going to talk a lot today about all of the mistakes that were made leading up to that. But urgent action right now will save so many lives Ben Thomas, Washington.

John Zmirak: Anti-Racism Is the New Gospel of the Antichrist

"To John Muir John. You're telling us that Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert cartoons, said some things on Twitter or whatever that have gotten him totally crushed and canceled. I don't know what he said. I know that he's not a racist. So the idea that people are trying to find something that he said to kind of twist it in that direction. That's where we are. I've been called every name, and it's just, it's kind of silly, but we live in that world right now. It's much more than that, Eric. Anti racism, the woke cult has become the new gospel of the Antichrist. It is the new religion to replace Christianity, to replace it. Now, it has some common ground with Christianity, which the Antichrist would have to. In order to fool people, the Antichrist has to sound Christian. He has to sound more Christian than Jesus. And that's what you see progressive Christian saying. I've seen them say, Jesus committed sins. Jesus was kind of a racist, but he learned. He learned from his sins and he repented them. And now we know better. And we can improve on Jesus. I've seen them say that. Jesus sin, thank God we're more Christian than Jesus. They essentially say that. That is the woke cult of the Antichrist. And any time you hear somebody talk about critical race theory, what he's saying is, I heart Antichrist.

John Zmirak on the Cancellation of Dilbert Cartoonist Scott Adams

"Let's talk about your other article about Scott Adams who created the Dilbert cartoons. That's right. He has already been stuffed down the memory hole. And within a few weeks, people pretend that they don't even know what his name means. Scott Adams created Gilbert, which is a brilliant cartoon that's been around for 20 years. He's got books of Dilbert, he's got other non Dilbert books. And he was one of the few celebrities to support Trump 6 years ago. It feels like a hundred years ago, but it was only 6 or 7 years ago. He has been canceled his comic strip has been pulled out of the newspapers, his books have been canceled. They're no longer going to be sold by the publishers. His agent fired him. I know you were thinking of having him on the show, but you're not sure you can get hold of him because his agent won't work for him anymore. All of this because he offended the priests of bail. He offended the new religion of the Antichrist, which is the woke cult. He said stuff that they could plausibly portray as racist. And as you and I have talked about, people with Darwinian materialists who claim that life is just a cosmic accident of chemicals, knocking together, somehow managed to believe that there's a moral reason in that universe that Darwinian universe then racism is wrong. And homophobia and transphobia are wrong. Where do right and wrong come from,

And he is known as the woke CEO, I don't know how far he's going to go. He's made a lot of noise on social media. He's doing the circuit and talking about different things. But the message seems to be one that his, it's been out there before. It's like what you and I have talked about before about bumper sticker. He talks about, well, we don't need the Department of Education. Okay, Rick Perry said that 8 years ago, most Republicans have said that for a long time. Are we just revisiting this? He's an interesting voice, younger voice, but James is the younger generation and my generation going to come together on a Canada that is older, like say a Donald Trump, a former president who still holds a lot of sway in the Republican Party or you've got Nikki Haley. Tim Scott probably getting in to my pants, Pompeo. To say, actually, present the difference. I mean, where are we going to get past the talking points in this campaign? Doug, this is whether you're Republican or Democrat. This is the issue, and it's the generational gap. Especially the Republican Party, right? It feels like there's just not a young audience. They're out there. Just make that clear. They are out there. Right. But it feels like they're not being seen or heard by the party. And I think that's always going to be the issue. "Today, I was on the main stage moderating a discussion between the chairman of the House freedom caucus, Scott Perry, and also another bona FIDE member of the House freedom caucus. That individual by the name of congressman Ralph Norman and you've seen both of them or you've heard both of them on our radio program over the years. And they're really doing a terrific job and waving that conservative banner. And we had a very Frank discussion today about what exactly conservatives need to do to fight back against Joe Biden. And congressman Scott Perry, he shared something as I talked about the many failures of Joe Biden and the Biden administration. And it was interesting because congressman Scott Perry says he doesn't believe that these are failures. He believes these are intentional attacks on America. He believes that there is a grand scheme here. There's something much bigger, much broader at play. And he believes this is all part of an attempt to weaken our nation. So he says, yes, Joe Biden may be addled he may be somewhat comatose, but the reality is that Joe Biden and whoever is controlling The White House and we've haven't been shy about saying it's either Susan Rice and or Barack Hussein Obama. But whoever is pulling the strings, this is all intentional. And as congressman Ralph Norman said from the main stage, the only reason Biden is still in power is the Democrats don't want giggles, which is his nickname for Kamala Harris. Welcome back, we're talking about Thanksgiving surprise. We're talking about Thanksgiving with the author of rediscovering America, Scott Powell. He's a fellow at the discovery institute in Seattle, and has written a wonderful book called rediscovering America from which he's written this article. You can find at the federalist called why Thanksgiving is as relevant today as it was for pilgrims for centuries ago. So what other reasons do you give Scott Powell for the relevance of this event that happened for centuries ago? Well, in terms of the qualities of character that the pilgrims had, I think, another important quality that we need to rediscover and strengthen is tolerance, these were very tolerant people, they got together with non believers. They lived together on a ship for over two, and then when they got to the new world, they found themselves. Making relationships with Indians that accepted them. Well, if they were when you say they were tolerance today, tolerance has become an unpleasant cliche, what we really mean, obviously, is that not that we allied our differences, but we respect those with whom we disagree. And that the pilgrims certainly respected those with whom they were traveling, who were not of their faith. And then the way they dealt with the local with the Native American tribes of that area, it is a model, really. It's an amazing, amazing story. Squanto, of course, is at the center of it, massasoit. But we see so little of that in the centuries ahead, of course, starting with the incredibly bloody king Philip's war. So it really, they really were a model of toleration. And I think it's important to say that that is a Christian virtue. In other words, you believe what you believe, but you also love those with whom you disagree and you treat them the way you would want to be treated. And the pilgrims did this and it's an amazing thing because we're always talking about the black marks in our book of these mistakes and these sins. They really were, they were exemplars of Christian love and charity, no question. And to illustrate that point, Eric, the pilgrim community, learned that massasoit had fallen ill that he was on his deathbed. In Edward Winslow, one of the senior elders who had experience with medicinal herbs and taking care of people when they were sick. And he was also, you know, he was also one of the spiritual leaders. He immediately decided that he was going to go the 40 miles to see if he could get to mass a soya before he died. 40 miles walking is generally at least two day trip. And that's if you don't get lost. Anyway, he did this before scooters were invented. No, actually, when you say 40 miles in those days, that's, yeah, that's kind of an amazing journey. And he decides really out of the goodness of his heart to pay a visit to massasoit. So please continue. So he gets there. He administers his herbs and his broth in praise over massasoit and remarkably massasoit recovers and he's almost fully recovered within a couple of days. And what he said was now I see the English man are my friends and love me, and I will never forget this. I don't know if the exact words, but they're in the they're in the book. So it was really quite remarkable that these very different people could have this relationship, not just the peace treaty, but the personal relations. And you know, Thanksgiving was amazing because this is after the first winner, right? It was the first harvest that it was a meager harvest. And they invited the Indians to join them by this time the pilgrims numbers have fallen slightly below 50, I believe, and they assume, well, they're not going to show up with more than 50 Indians, but they didn't specify. Well, anyway, over a hundred Indians show up to celebrate, Thanksgiving. But it's good that they did, because they brought food, you wouldn't believe. They had 5 deer that they had shot. They had foul that they had shot, they had all kinds of food enough to last three days. The first Thanksgiving was a three day festival. And this is before the Indians understood that veganism was morally superior. I got to tell you, when you think about this, this amicable celebration that they would bring food that they, there's a reason we celebrate this. This is an absolutely astonishing moment in our history. It's beautiful. It's amicable, and as you said, it lasted 50 years, this kind of relationship, this respectful relationship lasted 50 years. It is as anomalous as anything in our history, because as we know, things didn't go so well after this. It gets very complicated, very hostile. But it really was beautiful. You talk about the pilgrims, the Mayflower compact, which was their governing document touch on that, and then in the next segment I want to talk more about that. We've kind of gone out of sequence a little bit. But the Mavs are a compact, was drafted on the Mayflower off Cape Cod, went before they had even set foot on land. And they didn't know they knew that they were way off course, I mean, they didn't have even a term of Massachusetts. And the ship was, there was a lot of insolence and unrest. So the elders of the pilgrims decided, look, we've got a stay together. We're going into perhaps hostile land. We don't know what's ahead of us. So they drafted up this short document, the Mayflower compact that called for everyone being equal, everybody looking out for each other's back and that there would be a consent of everybody. So it was a wonderful document that was the government government by the consent of the.

"Yeah, now this is great. This is why we celebrate turkey day. And thank you for that, Eric. Exactly. So I think that I'm just going to such a wise guy. Just for that, I'm having ham. I'm having him. But I want to say that in our one today, I'm telling the squanto stories. Now, if you want to read that, if you have a copy of my book, I wrote a children's book on squanto. Actually, I wrote two children's books on squanto. The first one I wrote for rabbit ears. I wrote a lot of children's books for rabbit ears. But they kind of took the God part out of my telling of the story when I wrote it for rabbit ears. So it's an otherwise wonderful book. They made a beautiful video, but they kind of took the God part out a little bit. And I said, someday, I'm going to write a book where I put that back in because it's at the heart of the whole story. So I put it in a book called squanto in the miracle of Thanksgiving, published by Thomas Nelson, Tommy Nelson. But I also write about it in my book if you can keep it. Some of you already have a copy of if you can keep it. And I tell the story, it's an amazing story in the next segment or in one of these segments. I'm having a conversation with Chris Hines about what is the squanto story because it is a miracle from our history, an astonishing miracle from our history. And I remember when I was doing the research on this, I mean, this was literally, let's see. I did the original research on this. It must have been like 1991. And somebody said, oh, you're talking about the story about squanders for rabbit ears. And I remember maybe I repeat this when I talked to Chris about this because we recorded the conversation that I'm having with Chris heims, we did a few years ago. But I'll never forget doing the research and thinking, well, I'm going to go to the original documents. So there's an old pilgrim document called mort's relation, there is something by what William Bradford wrote. So I'm looking at these original documents and piecing together the story of squanto. And I remember when the lightbulb goes off, and I said, this is a miracle. Yeah. And the other children's books and stuff didn't really mention that. They act like it's some coincidence. Yeah. And when you understand what happened, you go, this is a flat out insane, miracle of God. There's no way around it. And it's at the very heart of the beginning of what became the United States of America. And what I was so astonished by, is this happened to me a number of times over the years in the research and my books when you get this moment. And you think, how is it possible that no one else has seen what an astonishing miracle this is. And when you call it a coincidence, or you just kind of relate it like, well, these things happen. It's like, no, no, no, no, no, no. This doesn't make human sense. This is crazy. And this allowed the pilgrims to survive and to stay there because of this miracle of squanto, and then by the way, folks, because the pilgrims stayed and didn't go home, suddenly you have others coming, and then you get the Massachusetts bay colony, and you get John winthrop talking about a shining city on a hill. And you get all of this stuff follows this miracle. So if you don't believe in miracles, I challenge you to familiarize yourself, and if you want things to this and this is our two, Scott Powell comes up next and he's talking about why Thanksgiving. So why are we even separated? That's right. So today we have I talked to Chris heims. I tell the squanto story and then we've got some other crazy stuff there in our two.

"Hey folks, welcome to the Eric metaxas show. As you know on this show, I have some pretty exciting guests and we talk about amazing things today is no exception. I am sitting here right here in the studio with, I don't know, I never know how to pronounce people's last names, Scott stribling, stripling, yes, sir. Then I did know how to pronounce it. You know, you're an archeologist, obviously, but in case people don't know, a recent article came out. This is what made me think I've got to have you on to talk about this. It's about a so called curse amulet discovered from about 1200 BC, big deal stuff, ladies and gentlemen. Big deal, excavation, archeological news. But you got to be clear, the provost at the Bible seminary in Houston and you're the director of excavations for the association for biblical research. Currently at Shiloh. Shiloh is one of those names out of the Bible like, really? Shiloh. So big. How often how much time do you spend being an archeologist? How much time do you spend in Houston, which is your home? And how much time do you spend in the field in Israel? I'm in Israel, Eric, for about three months out of the year, two months in the summer excavating, and then back and forth for various projects and to speak at conferences and stuff during the year. And the rest of the time I'm in Houston, we have an archeological institute at our school. And so I oversee that as well..

"While rivian was busy working on this hood problem, they kind of stepped back and said, hey, man, the high cost of this, the high cost of that. We're going to Jack up the prices on reservation holders that haven't taken delivery on their vehicle. So this is why in the beginning of the podcast you were asking me if I had any sort of a pricing agreement, and I was thinking back to some of the four dealers pulling some similar things. This is, okay, in the way that. Ford handled theirs and the way that rivian is handling, there's their kind of different rivian was doing this at a corporate level at the top, right? The four discovered some dealerships trying to change prices at the dealer level. And they made this price announcement like what, like right at the beginning of March, that they were going to do a price increase. Is that right? That's right. 12,000 plus dollar increase to current reservation holders price of their vehicle. And some of these reservations or you get a smaller battery. Correct. Yeah, it's crazy, man. Which is not neither one is okay. In my opinion, but some of these went the reservation holders go back as far as 2018. And so he got a lot of flack over that. RJ Scotts is RJ. He's very hands on with his fans out there, his customers. He tweets a lot. I've said it before. I like this guy. I like the way he runs his business. He's transparent. He's not going to run from problems. I think that this is one of those situations where he heard loud and clear, and he kind of he backed off on the price increase. Good for him, right? He basically applies. Let's see, I'm looking at his note here. The letter? Yeah. Well, I can give you verbatim here. He says, cost of the components and materials. Right. As they work to update the price and reflect the cost of those material increases, they wrongly decided to make these changes apply to all future deliveries is what they say. It's your fault for taking this long after you set the price to get them into production. And I'm not saying, you know, you've got to give these things away to loss. But that's not your loyal investor, people that are putting in pre orders. That's not their fault either. Yeah, but you know what, but you know what? What RJ says? This is what I like. And again, this is why we like this guy. I said, I think that companies like this are going to be successful. If you want to gain my trust, you got to deal with me the right way. And he listened to his customers. He says, in his letter, he says, while this was the logic and the logic that he's talking about is crunching the numbers on the high cost, the cost increases to them as a company. We got to pass this on. He says, well, that was the logic. It was wrong. And.

"Would come to gay bars and if i was performing a bar and saint louis or something there would be guys who were driven. Who drive for like two hours from the middle of nowhere illinois or missouri. Just to come to a gay bar like. Yeah because there wasn't an there wasn't anything in their area and i would be like. Oh he came for me but no. That's what i'm saying. I'm like and that's what i said you wake up early meeting. You're not gonna wanna do. That necessarily are not gonna wanna weeknights. Yeah maybe we want like one weekend. You let me outside of here. That's what i mean by having sustaining sort of almost digital sexual relationships with people in other parts that you can find on the apps and other parts of the country and even world and that way then on the weekends you can satisfy a need that you need and maybe even meet someone who would be willing to drive to use on weekends or some weekdays or whatever could find the. There's a but but have that that digital outlet during the week that you can have that connection. Here's a here's a question. So this cop who is. I don't know what i don't know if he's bi or gay. Whatever his situation is. He's repressing it in some way right because he is having secret relationship. I don't know how much he's repressing it. As much as just being allying douchebag right. yeah. But i'm just curious like how do you have any thoughts about how zander ken break it off without like. I'm just trying to think about like to me. That person could become volatile right. I mean yeah. I i think i think him showing up with a parent teacher. Conference is means. It's broken off like that's my question. I'm like what happened since you sent this. But the way zander's said he was like. Should i leave it alone. Which implies that maybe he hasn't left it alone like the baby. If these guys are if these guys are anything like some of the guys. I used to back in the day. Like on the dl. They they're if they find something good meaning readily readily available sex or thing that they can satisfy that scratch than etched then they will keep coming back so so zander will have to at some point ignore the tax leave him on red liam alone. Let him be there and the he is i mean he i don't i here's a police officer which that's me implying alive. Because i don't he might be a nice person. I don't know but like he does have a lot of baggage. That zander doesn't need to deal with in this new city as the awesome teacher and his school like he doesn't need this baggage he doesn't it would be a dream for him to may to marry that local gay cop. You know what i mean like. That would be awesome. But like that's not gonna happen and so he's just ignore this person and if this person won't take him being ignored if he won't get the hint that he's being ignored while andrew's going to have to be like listen. This is not gonna work and this is why xyz and then make you have that manila folder with a. You need to save that shit. The killer is out there. I mean and i will say this. I mean look because he said they went on some dates like they were so they had sex though. No but i'm saying like miss the cop you coming zander school classroom before you came cop. I gave you all the clues. I'm just even like that. Where i'm like. You should have like did it. But did the cop did. The guy know that he was going to a parent teacher conference. Do you think look like new. I don't i don't think he did. I think he would have figured out some way to get out of that. Those guys. oh a someone shooting than downtown gotta ago. Those guys are you. I don't think he knew at all because those are the ones who want to protect their secret app. All fucking costs and we know cops love secrets and so like there's no way he's going to walk into that just for fun unless it's off on the humiliation which there are people who get off on that yet now. I doubt with his kid and wife there. But you also think you would use a sub nail. I know it's not bad. But i mean like. Don't bring your child up here this child just trying to do some math here bring bringing hideous sexual games. I wonder if you'll sorry for the cat. Feel sorry for the wife to to be honest. But i think that yeah. I would assume as you said from your suit. It is over. Because i can't imagine why hymns especially like as you said tuesday. Andrew teaches kid so reliability zander's ability for this guy's livelihood so he's a liability for zander. Because if the ender does one thing this guy doesn't like or the guy feels like his secrets are threatened He could say maybe the town doesn't know zander's gay who knows right or like the school like who knows why things andrew out i mean. We heard the voices andrews out. Zander is a home. Ou- out your proud and i love it and i love it and you should. Dm me. and i will say i love you. Thank you for what you're doing. You're not getting nudes. But i think sandra's totally out and that's why he's awesome. This is the world on creating zander. Right we love coming to the small town. Whatever and he's like. I'm going to teach the children here. What they need and it goes and and he is just this out representation of like what this future can be for some of these kids who might feel alone in a moment and zander. Is that teach even at that. Kid can't say anything zander. Zander is the representation. So i think sandra's should just stand there teach that class. Give those kids and a police officer. You don't wanna come near this because guess what. This is a pride parade here. We are think. Oh by god andrew. Please keep us up to date and we do. I want to know more. I would've we love on the show and it's called a follow up. We do feel free. Any like dm voicemail again wanna know h how he got time for one more time. I have all my house another ten minutes all right. This is another voicemail. I thought would be good. It's about standup. So i've been into it all right here. We go hey. This is l. d. pronounce. She her I was just calling. Because i just Did my second opening night and I just wanted some advice in the comedy realm. I really wanna right. But i know you have to do stand up to get in the world or whatever so yada yada yada. I'm and gay jokes. That are black or gay and sometimes both and sometimes the crowd will be with me. And then i'll say one of these jokes and then they just i just get stairs and i don't know if they aren't you know connected to the mature like they can't relate or if it's just not funny.

You gotta keep your message just two to three minutes because you will get cut off right at the juice bar. You don't keep it right. There is someone. I just got one today where they had to call three times and even on the third time they got cut off and then. Dm das i was like hey got cut off. Here's the actual question. So we wasn't even a question nine minutes they couldn't didn't like it wasn't like continuous just started over each time. Oh i thought it was like how have you ever broken up with someone over the voicemail that that's when you need an extension of more than three minutes sex and the city episode. Save it for the reboot. Everyone all right and just like exactly. This is a voicemail. I saved this one just for you. H allen all right here we go. Hey naomi and andy huge and here love what you guys. Do you give me life. Every time i listen to you guys My name's zander. I recently moved from the big city of cleveland to a small town in kansas Started kind of meeting people on. You know the dating back. So i am a home of course so So the pool and you know. The kansas towns aren't big of course But give me a seemingly nice guy and went on a few dates over the course of a few weeks and pretty much you know was dating and about a month into it. I got a nice teaching job at one of the schools here and one of the nights. We have parent teacher conferences. And another shows up with one of my students and lo and behold who walks in but the guy that i think going on all these dates with who is also a local police officers so needless to say the whole parent teacher conference was slightly awkward with me and him kind of glancing at each other. Like don't you dare say anything type of feel to it. I guess what i'm asking or wondering is do i. Just i'm not about the home record. And if i had known i would've never even gone on these dates course But i did grow to like this guy and build. But i thought was trust in a relationship and now i'm just wondering do i just let it go just kind of disappear. Which of course makes it hard with the student being in class or i mean. Obviously i don't bring anything up to the wife because that's a whole nother issue with everything and worried about my job in jeopardy all that good stuff Any advice any tips If i'm just being stupid. And i need to cut this off asap. Please just give me that turtles Thank you guys much everything. Love you guys. you've done what you're doing okay. This is my favorite lifetime. Movie guys. sandra in egypt's give the same voice mail to my other podcasts. I'm obsessed with you is zander. Is anderson zander. Yeah i found is at zander to. Yeah oh my god well okay go. Should i start star. Yes okay. I the i fully agree first off. I want him to write this down in like an email so that we can turn it into a pitch and like don't like this needs to be so the first thing that i have to say is good for you for like moving. Have being brave enough to move into a small town and like be a teacher and like do those and have have a teacher who is queer in a city that in a small. I don't know what city you're in. But in a small city because that is like so fucking commendable so needed we need different marginalized sort of different types of people different different races different sexuality different genders of people teaching in small communities because there is going to be a queer kid there or maybe a police officer who is going to need that representation in that community. So that is like he's doing the lord's work. I commend him so much for that. That said only god. This sucks like this first off. Screen shot every single screen shot. Make sure you have everything you need. Because as wendy williams you always got to keep an eye out for the killer. And he's a killer. But i'm saying that you need to have some background. He yes yes he can. He can play evidence on your house. You'll car next to you murder. You didn't say hey. Look if we're if we're going down this path not just save it all printed out. Put it in an envelope and give you a lawyer. Say if you don't hear from me. Or if i'd have opened his yes yes very time to kill yet call you also also to check in with the lawyer once a week or that or the worst us. Yes it goes. The lawyer put it online to call every friday at two pm with a code word that is just this is such like and i also kind of feel bad for the cops. Even though he's a total douchebag for lying and not representing himself properly and not just being honest. You know what i mean like. I feel like the sandra guy. He sounds like a really nice guy. He probably would have had empathy for him if he was a closet. Marriage that he knows is not good and all of these things but instead he put on the charade like took this poor guy with them. So you know. I feel bad for him but at the same standard. Get away from that like and i hope you teach like younger kids. So that the that kid be like in middle school and you had to deal with these parents ever again just a few short years or something. 'cause like just drop him even the small pool of people in kansas like either. It's there's there's there's so many different ways that we can have relationships right now so many different types of relationships that like short they might not be in the same city but like you can communicate and have really sort of sustaining relationships with people in all over the country. Zander wants to have since. I know he doesn't tell have sex message. You can still have sex and have an emotional connection with people in other parts of the country to like what i'm saying is it doesn't necessarily have to be a one body one person in your bedroom all the time like if you live in a small area that there is a lack of availability for that you have to think creatively sometimes in order to mentally sustain. You know what i mean. Okay yes. I do know what you mean. I also wonder this too. When you're saying going on the apps and youtube and and i wonder if this happens like can you post on an app like looking for friends or down like not because a part of like i think maybe instead of finding oops i mean some people and they could lead you to more go find community. Nannu start to me. I mean go. The looking for friends often is means just hookups. Like that's the code word. That's usually what it means that way you can tell. They're not looking for a relationship that said that he is away. And i have many friends that i found through the apps over the years that i'm still very friends with today that that they just became really good friends. It started out with sex which is very much the gay. Hello and then you move into you. Know brunch with you know hanging out in the future for the rest of your life and like that's the but that said that's a privileged urban area mentality and where zander is. I'm sure he doesn't have necessarily know he doesn't have a lot and look. You're a teacher. Sunday your early and stuff but the other thing i know from you know. Suburban life is for a lot of driving hours in a big deal. Yeah it is but like if you live in a small town in kansas you may drive two hours to target lewis people would come to gay bars and if i was performing a bar and saint louis or something there would be guys who were driven. Who drive for like two hours from the middle of nowhere illinois or missouri. Just to come to a gay bar like. Yeah because there wasn't an there wasn't anything in their area and i would be like. Oh he came for me but no. That's what i'm saying..

"But i agree. I would love to go to europe. I would When when he was touring australia during the high hopes. Era yep I was by the owner of the company. I was working for the time Who was like in his middle sixties. Maybe late sixties and you know was coming to work on saturday mornings you know and of course you know. That's the reason why he's a millionaire. But i was like you know that age. I had that much money. I would be flying to australia and just doing the whole tour like you know like okay. Just you know getting just doing the tour because then between shows you would see this great country in this other you know beautiful scenery and what a great culture to do and so I really would love to go to ireland. I just think those are good shows and once again when you weren't at a show you the in ireland so you could see an right away. The culture there So one thing. I if any if anyone has never seen bruce in hartford jeff and you can get there every single time. It's an amazing show. And he pull some random song out of nowhere. I wonder why. I don't know but they're always good in hartford every single time without fail. Yeah and oppose this. My wife at one point joking with my girls says what if i were giving birth. What if i was going into labor. You were in new york Cnn show what would you do. And i'm like well you know. What am i gonna do deliver the kid like. I'm gonna come home the next day. What am i gonna. I'm walking into the show. I like hot by the time i get home. You can have the kid anyway. what's you know. So they didn't like that answer. But i kind of hyperbole. Yeah i mean. I'm not a doctor. I'm not gonna you know so We did have the My wife was doing a half iron man and And she was on a sunday and she said. I know your board going to these events. So you don't need to go like okay Her sister mary and my son went. She goes I said are you sure. Because i want to be supportive known enough. You don't need to go and later. It turned out that That was the do the free. Ncwa show was on that sunday. And i was like she had already told me. I didn't have to go erase me right. "Give me a hard time about it. But i can. I can buy the version of the song. I can almost tell where it was when it was just. That's cool I may have asked you this and If you guys have not If you're new to the show I had a friendship month earlier in the year or indiana and and so scott was on with another friend. Scott it was the scott scott show and so Please go back in here that that was a lot of fun. They met in camp and then later became friends. They rediscovered each other and adults. Which i think is just an amazing story. So i may be duplicating a couple of questions. But what about bruce captivating you can you articulate why he became your guy and has remained your guy i will try and you can tell me if i articulate girls so i always loved history and i like trying to think of the word While try something else. Because i can't think of the we're having a senior moment but that's alright. I've always liked sort of team sports. I like the concept of a real band that that gets along not wanna fight. And everybody's got ish you know and i'm sure some of that goes on but you know for the most part. It's a pretty cohesive unit that he's created here because they all care so much And the whole is greater than the some of the parts is he you know the one plus one equals three thing that he stated and i from the very first time i heard almost every song it just hit me like i'm in. I'm sold so love at first sight. You know you just you know when you see it and you know when you hear it but what i always loved was this was a guy that was playing with his friends. The grew up essentially with these guys. Give or take you know in and out a few we were there. And they've stayed true. Tha their their mission. Statement and what they represent and You know. I totally respect the fact. He writes his own stuff. That doesn't mean. I don't like other people that don't write their own stuff. That are just very talented but to me it's just to that next level so to.

"Fourteen. Ray stevens was number. One in nineteen seventy four on uk singles chart streak. The song was about the current british craze of streaking. Streaking was the act of running naked in a public place. Saskatoon folk rock artist. Scott klein joins us today. Scott some bird and sexy deliveries substance music art and is an artist to watch today. We chat about sunshine. And what's my name. These are two incredible releases heart of his upcoming album to release this year. Enjoy the show. Hi scott thank you for coming on the show. Today's really great that you could spend some time with. Thanks for having me. No that's great. thank you. so you're getting. You're making a lot of noise with the music. You'd sunshine. I was looking on the web site. You've had quite a number reviews. Radio play Need chop. That's this a single. That kinda came about there wasn't supposed to be on the ep. It was a song. That i kinda wrote really quickly and Just kind Threw into the there and But the press said. I've been getting it's been like quite a bit you know. And he's you never really know like what that leads to but But it's been it's been Exciting my end to to see how many logs skipped pick it up and like different countries that cover it in who likes. It doesn't like it. You know it's really. It's not very much genre like it's not just country music so it's a very subjective type style music so they so like it's interesting to see that some people like it and they liked the vibe and and others are like i like it but it doesn't set ni- would covering type of ricky that beginning firm inside box the that's one reason. I like it. But i was doll as music but actually all my notes here. I have genre question question question. I it wasn't it wasn't american. Could be a bit. Folk-rock bit breezy. Amen i was thinking who. Who does this remind me up. I hope your complimentary but it reminded me of america. The band america a name particular justice the best one i felt but i was into it But to me there's floated is conflicted because it's a downbeat but in the back you year sunshine so shy night. Was that intentional. Yeah yeah. I mean like i had this idea ahead of like what i'm hearing you know and It's a small percentage of it like comes out in the studio as you trying to strive for hundred percent. You don't get fully good You kinda roll is like what what is happening in the studio. You know that it starts with the drums right so so we make differently each write the song with it acoustic guitar and i think in in my music on it. There's a. there's a bit of a undecided tension between the dark and the light you know And it it's very you know whether that's you know country music and rock and roll or You know folk music and Yeah by just yeah anyway. I feel like there's there's some type of tension always you know the tween the between the two and That definitely is coming out his song white. This because it's like some dark undertones in a light light hearted like Sixties rock and roll. Kind of five. You know like like the bees or on other band. Slake the animals you know. At that time they were saying you know even the beatles. They're singing a boat dark stuff but they're making pot you know and and i think that's kind of what i was for on this on this track just to I tried to read a positive song. you know. this is my attacks by said it was complected. Surprises spin is always consecutive. I think you know. I'm i'm conflicted. Leah hanson Was the guitarist. One june our winner. How'd you meet up with him. I mean it's a i mean. There's there's good stories here shea kit stores. I met up with him He's he plays in a band called league roles right now currently. And he's currently doing this solo project senate hand on which is about to come off But he's you know he's. He's signed with warner music. canada You know with this other bambi roles and The producer american with aspen beverage. He also plays in the band. You know so so. When i recorded music with the with aspen i had went out to this small town in saskatchewan called pyo pods cash. Right which is like in the middle of nowhere a rails town israel. Town it is. It's accurate there's probably fifty people that live there recorded. It's like old school house so incompetent nineteen hundreds and as decrepit schools so we recorded the album there and You know they were doing legal. Wolves is doing some sessions there too as well and he heard my music you know it came across him and he played on it. You know which was amazing and very grateful for you know And he continues to to play on the whistle with sunshine in particular in the middle Like the the bridge or whatever you call it a keep she lays down some some good leads there and Yeah.

I've been looking at your bio not your background because it's red brick and gotten it just touched on a few things. Prior to the cohen. This is going to be a very very revealing co for those who are interested in enfranchising. Don't know necessarily much about it but Scott what we like to do is we. We take a bit. Were bit backwards from the business per se. And we talk about you personally and i'd love to start by asking you being so busy. Is there much time for recreation for you personally and if you do have time for recreation what is it that you like to. There's always time for recreation. One of the things not to jump into my book but wondering out that i write about. It is the value of time if you're too busy to attempt to have recreation whatever that means for you there's something wrong with with the way your life is set up so i do make time for it During the pandemic. I think i've watched everything on that flex So i have enjoyed that when i can like to hike. I love to travel with my family. I love to watch. My son played basketball. So love to hang out i wife. So there's a lot that we liked to do and the pandemic cut into some of it. But fortunately not all of it. And that's one of the food to he. Thank you for sharing now. That's one thing we certainly be talking about later on. Scott is your wonderful book. But i want to know a little bit more about In terms of what got you into franchising into business. And i was wondering if we can stop their sure. So long. Before i ever bought my first franchise. I was a professional speaker doing a combination of motivational keynote speaking and leadership training and that was going very well and i was traveling a lot and getting paid well and meeting all kinds of people but that was married and my wife and i were starting a family and i realized i wanna keep doing it. But i'd like to travel a little bit less.
