"Are targeting. There's a lot of these guys. Zamir white isn't going that late, but he could easily take out the Isaiah spiller, probably not that late either. But Chris Evans, behind Joe Mixon, you know, that's a good keyshawn Vaughn. If Brady and all the veterans don't trust The Rookie Rashad white in there and Lenny is 260 pounds. I mean, keyshawn Vaughn could get a role. And these guys are going like really late. I love Evans and Haskins because they just seem like the one, they're just one bad break. It would be a good break for them away from being a bell cow basically. I ended up taking in the last 11 rounds. I ended up taking 7 rookies in the last 11 rounds just because of The Rookie dice roll. Two of those guys work out and they carve out fairly decent roles. I'm feeling pretty good about that. I mean, I could be taking guys like Donovan people's Jones or Hayden Hurst or Benjamin. I'm rolling the dice on some rookies. So the rookies I ended up with Isaiah spiller, Tyler algier, of Atlanta, George pickens, Justin Ross, snoop Connor, who I know charts really likes. I like all of these guys you're mentioning pretty much. Romeo dubes and Abram Smith in New Orleans with Alvin looking like a suspension is looming there. Ingram, maybe not ready to go. Abram smith might be a guy who's getting the ball early for the saints this year. So he was my last pick of the draft. So I also got Corey Davis in the 20th round, which I thought was pretty nice value there because he's probably still the guy who gets maybe as many or the most targets for the jets this year. He was consistently going in that 18 to 20th round. He's one of those, my son got him. My son. Go down the board and tell us what Ian's drafting. Ian is going to be an interesting case study on he doesn't know Twitter hype. He doesn't know other podcast type. He doesn't even like he doesn't play dice. You know, it's nothing about dynasty. He follows the NFL Draft. So he knows all the players. But where does he get most of his knowledge from? I really don't know. Just NFL network maybe. I don't know. And looking up stats from last year, maybe playing Madden a little. I don't know, honestly, I don't know, probably talking to me some. But anyway, we should mention Ian's 9. 9, but he is a true case study in he just keeps grabbing points. Like in the round that I'm taking like and Gabriel Davis are going and stuff like that. He's like, you know what? I'll take Melvin Gordon and Mark Cooper. He's like, I'll just take the points even though you guys don't want them. Yeah. No, he started out Josh Allen, Jamar chase, tua, Nick Chubb. Here's another one where he just took the points in the 5th round, Ezekiel Elliott. And he's going to score a lot of points. He might be a top 12 back. Did you just grab the 5th round? Like he was like, nothing. I got Zeke in the 5th too, so I'm a genius. Dawson Knox, Mario Cooper, almond RAS Brown, Trey Lambert's juju Smith Schuster, Melvin Gordon, Chase claypool. He's got two chases. Michael Carter, Robert tonyan, Jimmy Garoppolo, Harrison butker, JD mckissick, Sam darnold, Corey Davis, like you, Devin duvernay, who might be the number two there involved. Then he went jelani Woods and last pick Gardner minshew. So a lot, you know, a decent amount of points in the starting lineup, which I think the projected score for week one. He's the highest projected team in our league. Ian's gonna make the playoffs. Watch Ian win the thing. In his first attempt. No, not to peacock or anything, but to someone you finished. Tenth overall last year. Did you really? I did. You mentioned Dawson Knox, who last year, he was got him in the very, very late rounds. That's like the skeleton key to me still, is you got to unlock that, just gold mine at tight end because we didn't mention it tight ends, get a full point for per reception and running backs and wide receivers get a half point. So who is going to be this year's Dawson Knox, you'll see a lot of those teams advance. I mean, other things have to fall in their favor, of course. But I think you need to unearth that tight end gold late in the draft. And Knox was one of the four tight ends who scored 9 times. Paradigm of Josh Allen too. So if those two light up scoreboards in the fantasy playoffs. So while we're talking about it, did you guys take a late tight end that you think can be a 9 times score this year? I don't know about 9 times, but again, Dan Arnold's good. I need Evan Ingram to just keep dropping balls or keep getting hurt like he's done so well throughout his career. But brevin Jordan, who I got, let's see in the 17th round. Pretty late. I like brevin Jordan, who's a rookie last year. The Texans have always had like two or three tight ends in the rotation, but he's going to this year as the guy and outside of Brandon cooks. I'm not sold on John meche. I do like an eco Collins, but brevin Jordan could be the second leading receiver for the Texans and I think we're all big Davis mills fancier. So he feels like a guy who could flirt with 809 hundred yards, 6, 7 touchdowns. That'd be like tight end 6. Scott, how about you? Who'd you get as your late tight end? Well, I took pits and come out both within the first 8 rounds. Okay. So I waited right until the end and took Cameron braid, of course that was before the Rudolph signing. Sure. But we'll see how it goes. I might end up dropping him for something later. Yeah. There are guys that can, you know, at the end of your draft, Daniel Bellinger for New York Giants, if he ends up being a starter, he could be in play, Taysom Hill's interesting because he might get four rushing touchdowns on top of like, sure. Two or three receiving touchdowns. Yes, false. Yeah. There's a couple, I guess. I ended up with Robert tonyan in the 14th round who, you know, with devonta Adams gone. He might be just the red zone target for Aaron Rodgers, one of the guys that he really trusts. Ian's 14th round pick. It's because Ian told me to take him in the 14th round, and then he did it as well. Very nice. Yeah. Man, Ian was so great. Making fun of all the picks. Throwing shade at people. It was great. No filter on that kid. Not only does he have no filter, he does not have what I can easily see both sides of most players. So like when someone tells me they're saying, I'm like, yeah, I can see that my son just has an opinion and he stands his ground on whatever he feels of that player. Yeah, absolutely. All right, well, that kind of wraps up the show. Brian, what's going on at guillotine leagues right now? All leagues are open, including the aforementioned Scott fishbowl. Oh, that is open now. I didn't know that I was open now. So yeah, just go to you'll see ways to play, go to super chop, and of course all entry fees going to charity. And if you win, I won't go into the Christmas or something this year. The weeds on the format, but you win your 12 team league. 12 team lead, you'll automatically get a sweet ring. Trophy smack, and then you win a entry into the Scott fishbowl next year. Then you make it to the finals where you'll be competing for this huge sweet trophy in addition too. Yeah. And just the ultimate bragging rights, basically. Winning the Scottish bowl is the ultimate bragging rights, but this is how you get there. That also sign up. It's Scottish bowl dot com right fish. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely do that. You have to do that if you ever want to play an SFB. Scott, anything going on

Welcome back to fantasy football weekly, Matt Harrison, Brian Johnson. Scott fish. In for Paul char and then one of us. I had no idea where he is to be honest with you. No, I don't either. What if he's here? He's watching from us. There's a security camera, a nanny cam in here. What? There's like 14 cameras in this room. This is definitely it has cameras. The fortress of solitude. It is really, really impressive at this place. The butler was really kind when we came in. Yes. All right, so next question for you guys. As you kind of went down, you guys went over your first four picks, but what was your favorite pick in the Scott fishbowl in your draft? And when did you get him? Yeah, I don't know that I have a favorite pick. Yeah, I don't know that I have a favorite pick, but I do like that I got guys like Adam Thielen and Alan Lazar and stuff in double digit rounds. Wow. That's great. Could be very, very fantasy worthy this year. Absolutely. I did not take a quarterback. I actually, I believe it was ten one. And for a while, I was the latest out of all the drafts to take their wide receiver one, which was stealing. So I'm pretty happy with I got sealant and gauge and lazard and Patrick and Nico Collins and Mikhail Hardman and stuff like that all well into the double digit rounds. And I'm like, I can make those work in some fashion. Absolutely. So I think my favorite is in a specific pick. It's just the fact that I waited on wide receiver so long, and I feel like I can make those 6 guys in waiver wire stuff work for my wide receivers. And I was able to get a lot of value for the other positions above them. Yeah, I don't tend to pay up for wide receiver. So you mentioned him. I got Russell gage with the third pick in the 11th round, which I was thrilled with. Well after guys like Robert Woods, Deandre Hopkins, who's missing the first 6 games, of course, guy Moore, Christian Kirk, Michael Thomas, Elijah Moore hunter renfrow, Chris Godwin. I think Russell gage can outscore all those guys. Definitely on a season basis because Godwin's probably going to miss some games who knows if Michael Thomas, so Russell gage guy that just is undervalued still in all formats. He could be the top point scorer position player wise outside of Brady for the boxes here. I guess my favorite pick, it's probably a combination at the turn here in the tenth and the 11th round. It took sky more who I think has a great opportunity to be Patrick Mahomes favorite receiver in Kansas City this year. And then in the 11th round, I give a starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield, which I felt really good about getting a third quarterback who's probably going to start most of the season. Well, at the time, I don't believe that trade. The trade had not gone through yet. I do believe coping. I felt like he was probably, he was probably Cleveland's quarterback of the year, if not somebody else's. And I'm glad he got moved to Carolina there. And by the way, yeah. Browns, I believe it's at Panthers week one. Just like the revenge game right away. Revenge game Paradise in week one. There were a couple of super interesting revenge games in week one, Seattle, and Denver as well. With that giant trade that went through with Russell Wilson this year. That's one. And yeah. I will listen to this show and we'll break all down the road. I will say for some things. In the 20th round. And I'm like yeah. He could be the starter. That's in a super flex league. I think he gets the first shot. At the starting job. Not a terrible. I feel the same way and I know charge feels the same way. We're team Gino over team lock on the show. All right. I've been help the Seahawks, but yeah. Absolutely. So when does whisky Wednesday start, by the way? Next week. We're going to do awesome. All right. Where is his whisky in this house? Yeah. I'll show you. Oh, you know what? It's in the whisky room. We have to pull off like an ocean's Levin type like distraction. Just eyeball for the rental scan. It's in the seller just past the vault. If you've seen Squid Game, he's got that giant little girl thing that all this. If you walk in the room, that would be crazy. All right, I don't even look at his whisky. What were the late round players? I mentioned round 20 or later, but what were the guys that you got super late that you were very excited about? Mostly just part of because the format and I don't want to fight over guys on the possible waiver wear and it's so deep. I was taking guys like Isaiah Pacheco and Tyler Beatty and stuff like that for Baltimore. That could, you know, if there's injuries, if dobbins isn't ready for the season and Gus isn't ready for like, I mean, there's chances there for guys like that. Cuba Hubbard, they grabbed him. I'm not even, I didn't grab him, but I'm not even completely out on Donald parham yet. That offense is going to be awesome and he's such a red zone threat that if you're not buying in on Gerald Everett third stop in three years. Yeah. He could be super end of your draft. Probably waiver wire in most leagues that he. If he scored 8 touchdowns, it wouldn't shock me. Hunter Henry esque just scores touchstones, it comes in on registered packages guy. I got two running backs very late, which I'm pretty high on based on their ADP. One is Hassan Haskins, the Tennessee. Dante forman gone. I mean, something happens to Derek Henry. Jumps right in and plays the role that Dante forman did last year and foreman thrived. They have Don trell Hilliard, but he's just a pass catching specialist. And they want to keep Henry healthy. That's kind of a wide open division. So I think Haskins sees 5 to ten carries a game, even with Henry help healthy. And then jerrick McKinnon, another one who I thought he looked really good when he finally played at the end of the season last year for the chiefs and the playoffs. I don't I'm not convinced that CE, H is the best running back. Ronald Jones, so McKinnon could be the best running back on roster. I think he's the best pass catching running back on roster. So those are two

"Later in the Scottish, but you don't want to start Mitch trubisky ever, even if he's a starting quarterback. You just don't so. That's my mentality. So yeah, I had the same mentality. My whole plan was just quarterback quarterback. I was going to take the two best available quarterbacks at 12 and 13. And then see where the dice rolled after that. And also, I think you can attest to this Scott. When a solon becomes a starter a quarterback, mid season like Tyler Huntley last year. People are going all in. On that. 80 percent of their fab. Hunley did well, but just in most cases when the backup comes in, people lose their mind because quarterbacks are valuable. And you're throwing money away, spending all your fab on a backup quarterback. So that's another reason I stockpile quarterbacks. I'm like, through the whole season, I don't have to worry about bidding the quarterback bidding work. You basically have to go all in to win one. Sure. Yeah, and we should mention it's a 22 round draft. So it's a pretty deep draft. There's not a lot left in the free agent pool. That's all the point of it. All these people do play because right now it's just there's not a lot of news. 22 rounds so that the roster is so deep that in season your basically just set in your lineups. And maybe if something comes up on waivers, then you hit it hard, but it's meant to be pretty laid back after the draft. Yeah, and there's no trading in Scottish, but of course. Not a big tournament's generally don't. All right, so I guess how did your first couple of rounds go? Did it go well? Did somebody snipe you? What happened? Let's start with that on. I did get I did get some like I did not get the players I wanted to. But I fulfilled that strategy of two quarterbacks a stud running back in a tight end. I got Kyle Pitts in the first like a true fan. I got hit on two, three. You got on 12 to overall. I took him, what is that? 14th overall, 15th overall. He was generally going around that corner. Leagues, I saw him go in the mid to late third. I'm like, he was junior varsity. Every once in a while, he was going in the third and I'm like, dang, that's value. But honestly, in the fishbowl, for me, it's a 3000 team tournament. I'm just going to get my guys. I don't even care. Absolutely. But I got hertz and fields, then I got cooking pits, like not in that order, but fields was obviously fourth of that. But the quarterbacks went so fast that fields was the best I had after all of that. Okay. Brian, how'd your first couple rounds pan out? I got the positions I wanted the tenth pick. I was looking at dac and Russell Wilson, I wanted dak. I got sniped there, so I gladly took Wilson. I was going to take Stafford coming back on the second round. He went right before me. So I quote unquote, settled for Pitts. And then the third round of versatile I reached a little bit for tua, which I'm not thrilled about, but hey, I got 5 quarterbacks. I can play the matchups every week. I'm not too worried about it. And then in the fourth I got the first of my two stud running backs. It went light on running back, which is James Conner, who V stays healthy. He's the top ten running back. I don't see how he is not. I'm not worried about it. He's got to keep going. Ingram, not worried about them at all. So things worked out all right. Two of them might have been a bit of a reach, but whatever. Sure. So mine, I went with Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford. It was my first two picks going with so much bold proven guys there at the turn. My first pick in the third round, George kittle was sitting there. And if you've listened to some earlier fantasy football weekly shows from the off season here, kittle's got all the ability to be the number one tight end in the league and he's going really late. And then I probably made the most stunning pick of the draft. The highest, I believe, according to the Scott fishbowl tool, I took Ken walker in the fourth round. The last pick of the fourth round, a little daring, a little ballsy, but that's reach around. Yeah. But granted, this was before the blurb became out that penny is going to get 20 carries a game. Yeah. To me, Seattle RB one gets 20 carries per game. That's how I view it. But I was picking at four 12 and 5 one. And I figured walker's probably not going to make it back to me at 6 12 7 one. So I wanted to get my guy. I wanted to make sure that, hey, if this guy's a bell cow, he's setting things apart in this, so I add Ken walker and then Elijah Mitchell, who I think also has some bell cow to him this year. I think walker would have made it back to you. You hear you're probably right. Not the worst pick in the Minneapolis draftsmen. Get your guys. Get your guys. Trey long Burke's second overall. I know people make crazy picks for clout and all that. Like I know one guy was like, I will take a kicker in the first for, you know, if you all raise this money. And that happened. And then which is great. Of course they still really want the retweets and all that. Yeah, the week it started, the whole Zach Wilson stuff came out and someone took him in the first two. Did you guys have any super snipes in the first couple of rounds that happened to right before your pick that you are all queued up? I might a deviated from my strategy and gone Cooper Cup and Matthew Stafford and had that Batman and Robin there. But Cooper Cup went the pick right before me. So anything like that for you guys? No. I really did not have any all my snipes came from the middle of the draft. It seemed a few picks before. I didn't have too many that hit me right before my pick. At least I don't remember any. I was sniped in the first two rounds. The top guy in my queue, but I was happy with both picks. I was saddest about getting sniped on Dan Arnold in the last round. I waited one round, two months. Sorry, Dan. Dan, he got the Dan Arnold stickers from the draft kit on your laptop there. That's right. I'm going to have these tattooed on my back at some point. All right. I think it's probably the

"IHeartRadio. Time now for fantasy football weekly from iHeartRadio. Your weekly source for the nation's best fantasy football advice speculation in whatever stupid stuff they decide to drop into the show. Now here's your host Paul char. No, there's no Paul sharpie in here. We are in Paul sharkey in his kitchen, which is this is strange, right? It's who? No. No? That's so strange. All right. So this is Matt Harrison. You heard the voices of Scott fish and Brian Johnson as well. We have to end this or something. There we go. Yeah. What I do is I slowly take the volume down. The one time I was running the board. Well, you're pretty fancy, though, Scott. So it's a fantasy football weekly. And we're here to just kind of talk about what happened in the Scott fishbowl drafts for each of us. Also here to announce party at charge's house. Yes. His address is 9 9 9. 9 times. 9, 9 times. 9 times road. 99 times avenue. Guys, I have a question. Yeah. If we put in a bunch of dollars, pumpkin spice glade plugins around the house. Do you think he'd be called? I hope he doesn't listen to this. Oh, he definitely won't listen to this. There's no possible way. Then he'll know that that's my plan. Remember and dirty work when they run and put all the dead fish. Pumpkin spice pieces of pumpkin pie in the upper deck. I will say this is a pretty pretty nice palatial estate. I didn't expect all the elevators. Yeah. It's pretty cool. The house that fantasy football builds. It might be helpful for people to understand kind of what Scott fishbowl is if they're not familiar, Scott. Allow me to take this one. Sure. Do you want to have Brian? So let us know what Scott fishbowl for those who are uninitiated. It's a giant tournament a pro am with us celebrities, former athletes. Fantasy analysts from every major site you can imagine. And just, you know, regular fans as well. And what it's about is basically community and gaining each other networking, and of course raising money for worthwhile causes. Lots of them. But that's what it is. We do the drafting in early July. Usually it's a little bit unique scoring so that people can't just walk in and just kind of go on autopilot they actually have to think about things. But yeah, that's what it is. Every July, we run this thing. And this is the 12th year. It's the 12th edition of it. I did take one year off, did you want to share too? Then took a year off. So it's 13th 13 years, 12 edition, I guess. Okay. Whatever. And if you want to be a part of Scott fishbowl 13, anybody can apply to be in it. Absolutely. And where do they go? Scott fishbowl dot com. Oh, that seems easy. Yes. All right. 11 live drafts this year, which are amazing, probably going to have more next year, but they were the live draft aspect I thought was so incredibly fun. And all three of us took part in the live drafts at kip's Irish pub in Minneapolis, my spot. That's Brian's favorite spot. If you ever want to meet Brian, you might be there. Yeah, come back. He's got a cotton back. Yeah. He's the norm of kips. If I'm not a top golf on the chips. It's pretty much it. Or at home. But it was awesome. We had four different drafts. Each of us was in a different draft. Scott, you didn't draft that day, though. No, no, I was busy trying to run. But your son was like the world's greatest commissioner, by the way. He was good. He started as you were assistant, and the day ended as you being his associate. Yeah, definitely. Exactly what happened, yes. So Ian fishbowl dot com is the kids pro am. I would be remiss. That's not a bad idea. I would be remiss real quick if you want. Of course, register for Scottish bowl 13 for next year already. Like Scott said, but if you want to win your way in, I know underdog. Yes. Has a best ball contest, which is awesome. Congrats on that. And also like last year, guillotine leagues dot com has the Scott fish bowls. Super ketchup contest. Matt? That's actually how I got in to Scott fishbowl. It is. It is. I actually had Matt on my ineligible list, but no. I'm just kidding. So yeah, so lots of different ways to get in it. And a couple of the famous people that are in Scott fishbowl this year. I don't know, we got a couple former athletes like Brendan Haywood and he's from the NBA. Yes. Former tar heel and then we got former dookie. Shane faster. I should have thrown them in the same division, but you know, actors, we have Scott Porter, Jason street from Friday night lights, and we have James, Rodriguez, from like psych and stuff, Tom Everett Scott, who is, of course, shades and that thing you do. And some other stuff. I actually met him at the LA slide. It's dead man on campus. Okay. Come on now. Wasn't he in like werewolf in London or something like that? That is well. Of course, that thing you do. Tom Hanks, but it's dead man on campus. There you go. There you go. All those guys are. Yeah, there's a lot more, but I'm going to blink on them. It's just too many. All right. So I guess coming into this draft. To me, I looked at it as a quarterback heavy draft of the last few years and Scott fishbowl. The first two to three rounds see almost all the good quarterbacks go. But for you guys, what was your, what was your pre draft strategy? What were you thinking going into the first two to four rounds? And I should mention that it's a third round reversal. So it goes one to 12, 12 to one. And then 12 to one again. On the team. So I actually selected the 12 spot for my draft position. Me too, so I could so I could pick first in the third round as well. Yeah. I only do it so I can manage everything. Pick quickly and just manage. And Brian, what was your draft slot? I had the tenth spot. 11th to pick my draft spot, but I was happy. You're pleased to have the temp spot because like you said in the third round reversal, I like being at the end. Yeah. For sure. So I guess let's start with Scott. What was your did you have a strategy going into this? Or were you just too fried from running 3000 players in a fantasy league? Nope. I had a strategy. Okay. I wanted to get two quarterbacks. At least one stud running back. And then I generally, just because of the scoring, the tight end premium that's a really big, it's like a double type in premium. It's really a big premium for tight ends in this. I wanted to see if I could grab one of those stud tight ends. Okay. So that was my strategy going in. All right, Brian, what was your strategy going in? Yeah, basically the same get to stud quarterbacks and then it's either too tight ends or two running backs in the first four rounds of the quarterback scoring. We don't have to get too into the weeds, but it's not traditional. You need good quarterbacks. Yeah. And even if you have good quarterbacks, you need good matchups. Like you can't just go into this with in my mind to elite quarterbacks and say, I'm going to ride these two guys. The whole season, of course, they'll have bio weeks because in a bad matchup, even Lamar Jackson Joe burrow could go negative points on you in this. So I'll just throw this out there. Going beyond the first four rounds, I took 5 quarterbacks. If they fall for it and they fell in my draft, I will gobble them up, choke out my league on quarterbacks because they'll make or break your chances of winning your individual league and then that's all you got to do. Get in the big dance and who knows what happened. So if they fall far enough, I know I can only start too, but I like having the options. I'll find replacement level running backs, wide receivers later in the draft. You're not going to find replacement

He scored twenty something against the bucks in the playoffs last year. I think it was twenty. Six he does run at three hundred one. And one and then rushing touchdown so that's twelve minus sixteen year seven forty six yards on the ground. Yeah these twenty six. so yeah Do you think he's gonna be a worthy starting quarterback in those formats through quarterback super flex leagues. Yes we'll be in the conversation like in the scott fish bowl. For example i had ryan fitzpatrick daniel jones in ryan tannehill. So not a great first week for me as my top three quarterbacks so i'm gonna make a pretty significant bid on heineke because it's super flex like in another super flex league dynasty demand I probably not going to go crazy. Frankie. 'cause i have stafford ryan in once you know. I'm not starting him over those guys in our two quarterback league My guess is dave is going to be the one who puts the biggest bid on taylor heineke his quarterbacks only goes i tried to trade with them or you did as well Trailers only significant second quarterback. I think maybe with.

"But i don't really have like the elite players at each position but i i really wanted balance. And that's kind of where i'm at with our three teams. We really drafted to our draft preferences. Seems like matt seems to always lean towards a very balanced team. Jake tends to vary much so lean towards a high upside team. And i tend to lean more high floor team. Yup want to do it that way. But that's i guess just drafted where we're comfortable. You got to be flexible. And that's what the draft presented us with all right one last scott fish bowl thing here guys. Have you taken a kicker. I have oh in round sixteen nato tyler bass okay. I have not taken a kicker yet. I'm not in kicker territory at either. It gets pretty slam when you get down to sixteen seventeen rishaad perryman. Todd gurley still on the mine. Speaking of todd gurley. Why don't we move into the todd. Gurley lists nfc south that's right. He is not on a team as of this moment. But let's start with his former team. The atlanta falcons. What are you guys thinking here. How do you think things are gonna unfold here. Atlanta with new head coach. Arthur smith taken over nowhere cutter. What's this offense can look like full of surprises for me new coaching team. Especially arthur smith coming from super run. Heavy offense to the titans. No julio jones how is it to. how's it gonna play out. How do you both see like the past to rush. Percentage plan out. Well i think that the new head coach. Arthur smith needs to let matt ryan throw the rock like you said. He was the offensive coordinator for the tennessee. Titans over the last couple of years. The problem now is they don't have derrick henry in a stacked defense. They have quite the opposite of that. So i'm hoping that arthur smith kind of adapts with the new offense matt ryan throwing the ball over six hundred times in three consecutive seasons. I'm hoping especially with the week. Seventeen in there. That matt ryan can do that for a fourth year but that is going to involve arthur smith kind of changing his style. A little bit some would say pivot some woods pivot. Yes and i'm in the same boat as you. I still have the falcons for over six hundred pass attempts with game seventeen being added. I have confidence. Arthur smith is a competent coach. And i have a feeling he's gonna realize that. Mike davis is not anywhere in the same league as derrick henry and should not be trying to treat him as derrick henry. Yeah and when you have matt ryan i mean. He's been mr consistent year end in year out. You know what you're going to get from mattie ice twenty five plus touchdowns in four thousand yards. He's done that in every single season since two thousand and ten He hasn't thrown for under four thousand yards. Since two thousand and ten. I should say so. They need the ultimately. Let matt ryan be matt ryan. So i like you said there's no derrick henry. It might take a couple weeks for him to fully adjust and realize that. But i'm hoping that kinda hit the ground running right away. I know one thing with matt ryan to is everyone. There's a stigma to that. He's really bad. Without julio i was actually looking at his career games without julio his numbers are actually on par. It's just as qbr goes way down without julio jones so it'll be tough to see what happens if he's still that still like you said you know gonna throw up those consistent numbers..

"You can do that but otherwise really. Just find something that you're passionate about and try to bring it to your league. That's that's that's the best way. Honestly scott what you built this thing into is amazing I really appreciate you coming on the show especially on short notice even brought an extra guest on with your son which was awesome seriously. What you've done is really impressed. Man you should be extremely proud and the goals that you set out for yourself after the heart attack. You're doing them. You know people say stuff again and they don't actually like you're doing a man thank you so much for coming on the show. We really appreciate it. Thank you guys for having me. This really appreciate it. Absolutely thank you so much. There scott rich awesome having him on the show and awesome joe any time. You can get ridiculous odds. We liked that we like when the odds are on our favor. How about two hundred sixty four to one odds on there to be a knockout in the first round of ufc to sixty four lovett. Just make sure you get the sportsbook after draft gangs on your phone. Use promo code ross. Two hundred and sixty four dollars when you met bet on a main event fighter to win by first round knockout. I think that means bet on a poor to knock out mcgregor in the first round. That would be awesome. That's code ross. You guys know the deal there. You also know. These shows have been amazing primarily. Because we're getting great guests on and i love joe's feedback. I love joe's interaction. Somebody guys by the way. Joe that he wasn't as high on Tyler lockett jacobs edmonds. That surprises me and robert tonya. Tonya knight gap. That's a touchdown thing. Where do they go that. Regression to the mean or whatever but chase edmonds. Why do you think when he inches ask. Why lower on jayjay jason's going really hiring now. He's going in the six round. And i just think that means scott's probably distracting somebody else at that spot as opposed to draft and chase edmonds. He's actually stolen the board. My scott fishbowl draft. And i only have one running back so far. So i'm up chase edmonds. Maybe i should rethink that. Given the scots a little bit lower on him but up. Yeah tiny tiny. It's pretty obvious on in the thing with lock it who i just draft my scott fishbowl. So who. Maybe i should. Maybe i should have rethought that one. It's the consistency thing for him. Yes huge games. He has like some games complete zero so he's been kind of an inconsistent player while people acknowledged how how good that he actually is. Y- i'm totally with you joe. I i'm with you on that for sure and i think think i think what's funny. What kenyan drake. Now complaining about the guy in kingsbury got paid twice. I don't really understand that. I do understand next week. Show even better given away three best ball entry..

"Can you can see the trends you can. You can take kickers in games that have high betting lines over under batting lines and they generally do well like that so i wanted to cater to both parties. I wanted to make a compromise. I wanted to win win win situation where they want the band. Kickers people in the kicker love. The kicker lubbers win and i win for mediating. i guess But it's an old office Office line of course. But the this way in fishbowl. they can be flexed. You don't have to start them. You don't have to drop draft. You can if you don't like him you don't have to do anything with them but if you like them you can bring them in throw them in your flax and prove that you know they are flex worthy and that you can project them. It's just a compromise. You can start up to four kickers. Ross i know. I know you're excited about that. But now i think most people are going to be starting to quarterbacks. I i think that's definitely a part of the strategy of the fishbowl. Now scott before before we get to talk more about fantasy cares and and some of the things that if you're listening art participating in the fishbowl that you can do What are some of the interesting bills that you've seen thus far in drafts any anything. Stand out in particular about what people are doing. Yeah i think the most interesting builds i see are the other zero belts the ones where like. I'm not taking a wide receiver till the ninth round. I'm putting running back till the seventh or eighth round. I do find it interesting. I do find it interesting. When i see someone start and there's value to. There's this is valid. But i i've seen someone start with three straight tight ends and with the tight end premium tight ends have the highest floor and they still also have an explosive ceiling and fish. So i find interesting. I like to. I like to buoy my teams with tight ends like have a decent amount of them but taking three on the top is really interesting. Yeah and so To wrap everything up here i. I'm sure a lot of people have been listening and know who you are just through your presence in the industry. The the scott fishbowl fan spots are just are massive But ultimately this is all about charity this is all about giving back What are some of the things people can do. e e if you're in the fishbowl. If you're not in the fishbowl that can help out the kids that that scares help so much. Sure so you know a couple of years ago. I decided i'm going to promote you. Don't have to give us. You can just give any charity. you're passionate about. I really just want to build this community and build that idea that you can that all these leaks can do a ton of good so actually just take your league and be like we should give part of. We should give an entry fee to charity. That's that's what makes me happy that it's just being done out there. It doesn't need to be with us for us. Most of our stuff is done now. The the At sf pot a thon a handle on twitter. They're linked to donate still open on..

"Youtube. Youtube dot com slash. Ross tucker around. So i've never seen this before. Okay joe when we have guests on i love. This is one of my favorite things. We do up until september. First were you hire on on that. Consensus scott texted me all the backup running backs all. I want so many of them. Nobody ever said before they're high on the back on. There's a lot of them tony pollard. It's alexander madison. It's traced sermon. Who you can argue. Is he actually the backup or not. Probably the most at this point henderson. Even in the later rounds. Like justin jesse jackson or even darrynton evans at the very very under your draft. But for me that extra week like we've already seen injuries. Yeah i got a little little. One is really giving this analysis while his son is pulling the you're out of his ear as ing qiwei pie all right back to mommy up so scott. Let let me bring you back into the conversation. Because i wanted to get the fish bowl year i can okay. I am very glad that you're higher on all the backup running back. Because i'm going to need to be high on the backup running back. I have just one through seven rounds of the fish bowl. So what a bit. But let's go back to some of the bills that have been successful in the fishbowl. Have you found that like. I don't quite frankly. I feel like zero. Anything can work given the scoring format. Yeah that's part of the thing with balanced going as de you can come through with any strategy. Want and it will work. It's got the superplex for the quarterbacks has got tight end premium for the tight ends. Scott points prefers down which generally boost running backs. It's got the pr for the happy anyway. For the for the wide receivers and also wide receivers You have to start three. Their value comes in their depth. So i think you can use any strategy. But i really feel as far as those all the running backs pollard. Madison sermon. Like henderson henderson. Those types they're going eleventh twelfth thirteenth fourteenth round and this is a year where we got an extra game we we saw last year. There's been a trend towards second running backs. Getting more and more work. More injuries are happening. There's a you know you got by weeks right in the middle you season six to fourteen. I figure with by weeks injuries. The extra game coaches seen that we have the extra game in already a trend towards the second running back in more work. We're going to see those backups..

"Will see what happens to him. But there's no question. He held the bell too long in that. That was a big reason for a lot of the sax last year. You're talking to a former offensive line that sacks or a quarterback stat commonly held beliefs. Well no well exacts an offense that i think people would be surprised how often the receiver knowing was hot or the running back to block the right guy. But i would say probably quarterback one. Oh line to yeah. I mean he. You know there's a reason why peyton manning and brady get sacks so little yet you haven't always had great lines right like they did a really good job of getting rid of the ball. Three receivers that year higher on than most term. Alan courtland sutton love. Viscous should not cheer. Gimme a line on those guys sky. Just cunanan going. You know in the third. Sometimes in the fourth and drafts. It's crazy to me. Because when he was healthy with herbert he was getting nearly ten targets. A game like he like herbert Just completely tunnel vision. Forman with lombardi going over there. Actually it's gonna be it's gonna be herbert's second year. I just ekeler should be healthy most of the year. Two which generally say that. A lot of receptions might take that down a little for allen by just think the offense is going to be better as a whole tide raises all boats. Fan for fantasy. I'd just think the offense is giving even better and he's still going to pepper allen with just tons and tons of targets I i would. I would be ecstatic with him is wide receiver one. I would gladly take them in the second. But i don't have to take them there. I can wait around or two in some drafts to get him. Way higher on him Courtland sutton going in the seventh. It seems to Ridiculous to me. I know there's a lot of options there. And i know drew lock teddy bridgewater. What are you gonna do but he was. He put an awesome numbers and looked like an alpha receiver. With like joe flacco and brandon. Al like bad. Joe flacco and of career. Joe flacco and brandon allen. And i just. I feel like he can overcome. I think he's. Qb proof is what. I'm saying with those other options. I think the targets does get are going to be good and he'll he'll have less coverage you won't have to go up for those jump balls into double coverage like he used to and then chenault i just think they're going to want to get him in space to ton. He ended the season last year with five. Really good games. Averaging over fifteen fancy points a game. I know that there's been injury issues. But you know some of the options. Their offense have gone. Trevor lawrence a major upgrade. I just think this is a year. Where if he's going into the twelfth..

"Joe i want every stamp. He played last year. Scott salon buried curious to hear your reasoning and logic yet if you watched last year. It's not good and he had. He was constantly pressured constantly holding the ball too long constantly. Getting sacked and there is. There is admittedly a possibility that he is david. Carnell not derek. Carr david carr when he got sacked like eight times the texans and it just turn into into a shell of what we thought he could be as a prospect. It's possible he's broken. it's very possible. However he's got the best offensive line he's ever had arguably one of the best in football now he's got he's got campbell and he's got Hilton and his tight ends or decent moral breath athletic. He's got he's got plenty of options. wide receiver that that are healthy. Now he's got a pass catching back in the him hines they can dump it off to if you need to get rid of the ball. Hopefully a little quicker. This year I feel like reuniting with frank reich. Who is you know his coaches quarterbacks coach when when he ad that thirty three seven season a touchdown interception ratio. I just think it's such a better situation. And if he can rebound him going you know mid double digit rounds being ranked as like a low end like like. Qb fifteen seventeen twenty right in that range. That's really low for a guy who's got a lot of potential upside in an offense that i think should be pretty decent scott. This actually leads me to another point. Because ross as ross metric we had been doing. these shows. Were having healthy debate. But i actually want wanna mix some kind of fishbowl analysis into this. Because when is fascinating in the fishbowl. Because you way sacks as a negative you way incompletions as a negative so when you're looking at that so let's look at it from a macro perspective right. You're trying to level the playing field. Because i remember two years ago. Lamar jackson is dominated the fishbowl because it's it because it's superplex you wanted to kind of bring away to bring those pocket passers. Who are out of vogue for fantasy back into the fold and just a relief district wise because he got sacks so much last year. It's possible for quarterbacks to basically put up negative points in the fish bowl this year and they can they're gonna do with much more frequency than they would normally right right. Yeah and part of the reason for that is not. Just you know towards rushing quarterbacks. It's towards just good and bad quarterbacks. In general in the fishbowl stacks get dig. Negative intercept like completion. Poor completion percentages negative. Interceptions are huge. Hit their minus four instead of a normally. That's my too so it's separates the tears between if you have a quarterback of a good game. You're going to get good points a bad game. You're gonna really hurt. You're going to get almost nothing. Maybe even negative. So that was the point for that scoring with. I mean the reason i brought sacks into it was there was a lot of argument is set our sachse quarterback stat or the offensive line stat. And so i wanted to bring that in. And i you know i don't know that carson wentz is going to prove the theory on either end this year because you know horrible offense align last year and he got sacked on or this year has got great..

"I want to be the best possible version of me and so i started pushing everywhere. Bring a charitable element to your fantasy league. If you have a fancy give one entry fee to charity and with the hundreds of thousands fancy leaks we can do a ton of god so every year we raised a ton of money for toys for tots we do give some to like last year. We gave someday equal justice initiative this year. We're giving some two trevor project in previous years. We've given some to like food shelves or hurricane relief stuff like that but the vast majority goes to buy toys all around the country analysts go to buy these toys all around the country in different cities for toys for tots and obvious. Obviously scott one of the big things. One of the easiest ways and one of the most fashionable ways for or fantasy cares to raise. Money is the wardrobe. Now i have to tell you. I moved to greenville south carolina. Coupla will basically A year ago in two weeks and my neighbor across the street. I don't think knew what i did on. And i walked out and i was wearing I was wearing the Lego logo shirt from last year to from from rhode aware and because last year steam was poisoned goes. Oh that's scott fishbowl. And then struck up a conversation. And i told him what i did for a living and it's gone national but this year i got the ac dc style logo beacon for the music team on the road. Like you know like nirvana in public enemy and stuff like made in a fishbowl. Twist yeah so a no. Those shirts go that the proceeds from the church go to fantasy cares as well. Yep yep we use those to buy buy toys and we do a twenty four hour python that actually. It was monday into tuesday. So it's over now but we raise money during nat. Is well absolutely awesome again. No kevin durant like this is going to be a very exciting finals. Feels like that for the past. I don't know how many years either we're looking at lebron james steph curry in the finals our kevin durant in the finals. Few times like this is nice to have where there's none of them in the finals. And it's cool because the guys at now are in their chris. Paul longtime point guard in the nba. Always been good. Always been reliable. Always been a great point. Guard finally gets his chance at an nba title. Could got one. If the trade with the la lakers had gone through right like if he had gone to l. a. to play against playing with kobe bryant probably could have gone one there but of course. We all know what happened if you don't. The nba blocked the trade from happening any who let's talk about this years mba files. And i wanna give my picks first. Game is obviously tuesday night. It's going to be at phoenix. And i'm excited because i look at both teams and i personally love the match up between both teams i love. I love yawn. Is i hope yawns is good to play. I hope he is like this. Series is not going to be act site as excited. If is not playing and i know the bucks did what they did without janas. I get that i know. They handle the hawks without him towards the end. But if the heart of the bugs do not have jaanus. I hope i hope they do. Because it's not going to be as exciting and people are going to look back and say what if right if let's say the suns win the series and y- honest doesn't play peer. We're going to look back and say well. If you would have been healthy blah blah blah. So i don't want to. I just don't want that to happen. Sucks if an injury ever comes up like that. "The FFP Oasis. You have this. You have this, You know, big, You know, analyst slash reader kind of contest. How many people were in that first year to remember in 96 96 huge at the time? Yeah, sure. Of course. 96. I mean, you know, 96 without mere Daniel are care about interest and fields to find, you know, one or whatever. Just my clay, um, by the way, wasn't with ESPN At the time. Mike Clay was working for a different fantasy sports website Think he had his own website back? Then in 2010. I think that was fantasy Depth chart or something like that is what he had Something like that anyway. Um So you start that in 2010. I think this is important that people don't realize one of the skills you have. You're actually really good at at coding and and, uh, you know, engineering computer software, and you taught yourself To code at 15 by doing what? I had a feeling Miss it. Come up. Yeah. The very first sight I ever made was one of the first. No doubt fan pages on the Internet. There you go. Secret squirrel. You probably were on the no doubt. Camp age. I absolutely was a part of the no doubt Sand page between Gwen Stefani and everything. That was no doubt. I mean, To be fair. Scott kind of looks like a no doubt like he's definitely standing no doubt pretty hard. You can tell. Yeah, he clearly had, like, two posters in his room. Um, one of the group and one of just Gwen, um, that maybe one other person in that band Scott other than Gwen Stefani. Yeah, Yes, See, that's awful. Like I can't either. I think there was a Tony I can't either. I can't name I can't name one other person and no doubt And I probably can't even name a no doubt song. Although if I heard one of the radio I'd be like because they had a couple of huge hits, but they did absolutely right. There wasn't Tony But, um, But, yeah, but like neither you nor I secret scroll ever made a fan page for it now. Yeah, Normally when I make fan pages for bands, I know all members of the band and, of course, the front singer, but it's okay. Scott. It's alright. It's alright. It's fine. Um like near luckily, 20 years ago, 25 years ago. Whatever. I mean, you made a fan page. I'm just saying like you. You were so into them that you felt the need to like declared on the Internet. Um, you know, and you should know. I mean, that's for just declaring everything You think you did all time. Yes, Yes, I'm just I'm saying yes, exactly. By the way, Scott, Like you just said you like you had a feeling this would come up like You know, for the love of God do a little prep before the interview. You know what I mean? Like, Would it kill you to crack open a book or something like that, Like do a little research. Nothing good ever came from hustling. Oh, this is fair. It's fair. Nothing good comes from hustling. Very true. I appreciate factually correct. Well done. Well played, sir. So, but the coding helped you and you ended up leaving. Uh, you end up leaving Fantasy football Oasis. Uh and then. You went to a couple of sites. I just want to skip ahead a little bit here and where you wound up at your current job. Yep, Yep, My current job is called safely because I run a commissioner service for low stakes fantasy leagues, You know, Like, like just a fantasy contest operator, Diocese reader athletes their public leagues that people can join. Right, and I should I I'm like I like the guy's a dynasty League football. I don't want to skip over them. But basically you had like a two year stint at DLF and then moved on. But, um, just trying to went on. But here's the thing that I think was really important. Scott in. Uh, I believe it was 2013. So so you're doing the league and you did the FF oasis for a couple of years, Right? And then obviously you leave FF Oasis can't called the FF Oasis anymore.
