"Then I'm thinking this has the potential to be a genius pick. Actually, not even you know, hey, went for the guy and and it sounded like from the Press conference, like he had targeted Williams's long ago is like June so it's not like I mean, he was going up other people's draft board. Supposedly, the Pistons wanted to trade up. Forget him, but it sounded like they've had their eye on him for a long time. And probably he defends all these different Spot story can and he's smart. You know, when you read some of the insula before the draft, it sounded like he was a rough of project. Energy prices like he's not a project. He was a three year point guard so anyway and good with the picks, and then they signed this Garrett Temple whose, uh, 34 4 year old bench guy 80.5% free throw percentage play spirit, But he's a guy, you know He knows how to play and they can put him in his back up. At three positions, Basically, if they need to. So, look, you can came to see one thing that they're doing. They definitely want good shooters. So I am into it now, and I just want to get the Get the season started. Tailored. Are you a Kansas guy? I'm not a Kansas guy Now. I'm a Syracuse basketball fan. Okay? Did you know much about the band? That's you know, I watch a lot of divine dots, and I actually I saw him play in person at the tournament. Last N c. A a tournament that we had, and he is. He's going to come into the N B. A. And he's probably already one of the five fastest guards in the NBA. That's how quick this kid is. I like that as a backup point guard that heaven that speed that It's nice, and he looking at films of them e. I mean, he can make three point shots. He has nice Forman, and he seemed to make a lot of baskets and Layups when he got around. He was so fast he get by the guy Gardner. I don't think he's gonna get away with a lot of those shots and the pros, But he seems like the type of guy he's strong. He's fast. He's smart. I think you'll learn how to You know how to adjust to the game? I think, if nothing else You know, he's a two way player. He's a guy that can help them down the road. For sure it sounds like they're going to stash that. Marco Samona Vic for a year. You know, and he's not gonna play for him. But he's got a lot of potential in your 66 11 can shooting past. You know, that's a good good potential thing there. So anyway, now, Bill Huggins. Also we were talking You're thinking of sending out a Truck to the Chicago area to pick up some Bigger collections net this coming week. But the week after Thanksgiving is that correct? Yes, we do. Have a truck. Kendall toe come out there. December Second through fourth. Somewhere in that three day period will be in the Chicago area. If anybody is Interested in us doing a site visit. They need to call our home office and To Randy and get on the schedule. The number 3016 await 0355. And we're their exchange the week except Sunday, and they can just See what they've got. And if it's something we could fit into our schedule. We'd be happy to come by and and gather some stuff up. So as far as you can tell, As of now, you're still on for your February Nuggets and Scott auction. Nothing's changed with under 100%. Okay, good. Yeah, because things in in the Chicago area are Go on the runway and they're tightening up with, you know the amount of people you can have in the percentage of capacity, I suppose, is a bit 29,000 people that did in our auction in our store. Get a call from the governor. Yeah. You're still gonna have your action going. That's the great thing about an option like that. You don't have to have anybody in for it. You make money while you're sleeping right file staff members to answer the phones and questions and Look up items for people who want a little better description. But now that they, most people pretty much do it on their own from their house. So Events. Have you heard anything about the vaccines? The delivery of the vaccines and all that stuff? Are you gonna be in any of that stuff in the Chicago area? You know, I think I think we might support the process and certainly will be there. 24 7. If somebody needs us, I think Hopefully, it's just 30 to 60 days away from, you know, at least going stepping in the right direction in terms of a society and having that vaccine available and just a couple more months and will support whatever way we can. My wife's and nurse actually, and there's a chance that she'll be getting a vaccine. Starting next month, some time, so it'll be interesting. She's ready to be a guinea pig. She's ready to roll out. Yeah, my daughters also owner said one of the local hospitals so yes, he's on the front lines as well. And And I think we just you know, as a society need to get past this and step in the right direction and become a better society because hopefully it's really looking like this spring like they should be a pretty wide delivery of vaccine so hopefully I guess Bill that that might mean that there's still a chance for the national to be in the Chicago area until I August. I don't know how good of a chance, but I'm sure it hasn't been Cut out yet has it? No, no, no. I have not heard anything to that effect, So I think it's Like this was just a and, uh Waiting, sleeping in the next 30 to 60 days. And, you know, then every people people are going to start having to make the decision on summer event, you know, So yeah. I wonder if that would work, you know? Yeah, said it. It's kind of backed. Oh, semi normal anyway. So, yeah, I think there's gonna be some changes, especially gonna be a lot of businesses that aren't there anymore. But if there's a need for those, there will be new businesses taken their spot. That's just the way life works. You know what I mean? If there's no need for it, that nobody will do it. I think you will probably see Hopefully, some of the restaurant in the street can hang in there. Some of the the companies that hold the big banquets and things like that. I mean, they've taken a such a beating bars, restaurants. Hopefully, most of them can hang in there and make it till Hopefully in the spring were able to start rolling again so that we'll see what like that. My Twitter ideas, T Crown Tom and you can tweet pictures of items to me. And I'll use them on the show. If I can. If I see him yesterday, one of our listeners tweeted me a picture of an old This is kind of cool. I just put it on last night if you want to look at it. It's an old ST Louis Browns jacket, and he said his dad used to wear it outside the do yard work That's from the 19 forties. Now it doesn't have any labels on it, but it's it's like a yellowish front. With leather sleeves, and there's a big brown's patch and left arm and the SPL logo on the front left over the heart. So I don't know, Bill. What do you think about something like that? How would you be able that with no labels on it? Does that mean it probably couldn't have been Something that was used to see the jacket and see if there's an area where the label was Thorne out. Oh, yeah, you know, because E. I can't imagine they would make the jacket. Whoever made the jacket had no label when this thing was originally made. So if there's an area where the The label should have been, and it just got tor now Tor worn out over the years and stuff. Little research could probably find out who made that jacket. Yeah. Richard from Northbrook. If you're I think he's a regular listener. If you if you look it over, you know, send me a picture. Maybe through the Twitter direct message of close ups. If it looks like there was Spots. You know where the labels were pulled out, then I can send that to building Matt. The hug and some Scott also Matt, Matt and Huggins and Scott Bill is really good at Research and stuff at me. He comes up..

"Eric Ostrovsky were on every Saturday morning from 7 to 8 talking about sports collectibles, collectibles of all kinds. Sports In general things that dumb movies we were talking about. That's good to hear events is chuckle back on the life of this weekend this last week. Figure backgrounds. Yeah, who's feeling a little better, So I'm happy to be back. That'll be good when that's all taken care of it. Yeah. You know, I could see all the pay. And when you told me about that one now the number here is 3123323776. You can give us a call. If you have an item you think might have some value be worth putting Huggins and Scott auction. Or you can tweet a picture to my attention. T crown Tom is my Twitter ID. I've already got a few things tweeted my attention. What? I want to start off with those Yesterday. Duane from Aurora, stop by Bill with a really cool It's a Charlie Chaplin. Signed. Photo from his younger days. In it in a frame. It's he doesn't have that little mustache. You know, Charlie Chaplin always used to have, but it's a really neat looking black and white photo. And if the autograph is authentic, which I'm not sure if it is I've seen a couple similar things sell of him. Looks like it's over $1000 right, and with the autographs authentic. Yeah, I thought I saw you sent me a picture that and, um There was some backing pins system. Yeah. How were those? I was actually pretty good at those. From the time period when they have a good audience there one later than that, or not that much, But those were pretty good. Okay, so those would be worth putting in as a lot. Oh, for sure. Yeah. That surprise you. Okay, well, that's very good. And Charlie Chaplin. The key is if the signature Israel but You know, that's not Leo. Somebody went to a great blank. Make it look good. Yeah, it really looks cool. Doesn't And I like stuff with that. We have a caller already to start the day Ted from Schomburg is on the line. Hello, Tom. Have you ever been welcomed by alerts before when you called? I know Well, so now what's up? I know a little background, but you want to start with Some of the items you have. That might be, you know, you want to know values over your women. What do you How do you want to start? I just okay, well A complete 1965. Baseball cards. You know what? 1 598 cards in the set. How nice a condition We're good, Good condition. Good. Well, Bill, we know that's a good auction lot right there. So we get one Chechnyan infertile? Yeah. There we go. Anything else Exciting. What about the complete up upper upper deck? The 1989 said there was only one the key for the 80 million upper decks that they made a good amount of those. If you have, like the set itself doesn't sell for all that much yet. If you haven't ungrateful Griffey rookie that's a nice Griffey. Rookie there. 30 40 $50. Maybe But if you have a high grade Griffey rookie, they could be thousands. If you get the 10, or, you know, a pristine 10 grain or ah, SSA 10. So that's one that that Bill Huggins, wouldn't you think you almost have to just get the Griffey grated and see how your set is from that? Yeah, I mean, like you said, the rest of the set is the diamond doesn't really It's really the one card. Yeah, there. I mean, there's some pretty good rookie cards in there. But Griffey carries that thing. Griffey was the man in the nineties, and that was that card that said Kinda. Signified a change in card collecting where that was the first. Upper deck set. And I remember thinking, you know, I had a store at the time and thinking why? I wonder if people are gonna wanna pay 99 cents for back. That was it. I was like considered, so that's what I would do if I had the scent. Look at it if it's well centered, and it's probably really sharp. I would get that one great attack either. By SSA BGs from back in STC. There's a new grading company C. J C is going to be coming out. They haven't started yet. But with C S G. I think it's going to be called grading, where they have half grades and It looked like it might be something worth giving a try to also because they're not just Joe smoke collecting that starting Grady and they've been doing magazines and And Cam spoke spell huggers. You guys send a lot to CDC that from the magazine cannot books, right? Oh, yeah. A lot of the sports illustrated that we run. And certainly a lot of the comic. Yeah, Eso, you know that that grating cos they're so backed up. That might not be a bad idea to have another Grating company joined the mix. It's a good one. So anything else is speaking of comic books. Do you have any of those Ted? Yes, I know. I'm in the process of organization and okay, But you would indicated to me previously that if it had the 10 and 12 sent, um Designations, Adam that they had better of value. They fish. Yes, Preston, you have the superheroes. If you have the first editions or the first appearance of a big name guy in a In a line a comic so it could be really big, especially once again in in higher grade. Like, Well, what did you have? Ah, few years ago, you had the number one issue of the incredible Hulk soul for, like 160 grand or something. Yeah, that was that was very surprising, You know, I mean, that was just a raw collecting a guy had in a box. Wow. You know very happy. Yeah. Yeah. So if you have and you know intel, I have one other question 1986. Greer. NFL complete sets 16 660.

We got a couple quickly on Joe and I would want to reiterate with, come said. And, of course, Sam Smith said that Chicago was considered sort of a non pro basketball town as great doubleheader. I think there was a separate and then in 1962, and by the way, I still have a press pass from this team. They've crater of a local businessman started the Chicago Packers. And they didn't work out either came in 66 bear in mind at that time. It is hard to remember now when people wanna go see the bulls so much of the stadium or or stadium then that they were trying to hustle. Take us Ben Bentley. I think Sam mentioned that the former International Boxing Club supposedly publicity man was hired. He was going around that newspapers, radio stations. And he came to our station, then the TV stations to get what we call ink in those days to get people to come out to the stadium and watch the bulls and they hired Johnnie Cur, of course, was a local boy. He was a star Children Tech High School went on to University of Illinois. And he was the first coach along with. Of course, the owner was declined at that time, and they tried to get interested and I remember interviewing courage. That time you got to give us you've got to give us some time. This is like an expansion team. He contended that eventually, he said, Chicago is going to be a pro basketball town and you watch and see why he was right there. And he was well and by the way, the last time I saw her was in Fast forward back into the nineties later, when they used to be a member of the Ye old has been that would meet out also on racetrack, outta former stars of scribes and athletes would beat there, and most of those conversations were about basketball or football, but about arthritis topic was a vote. But anyway, they brought the Bulls back and it's hard to think of the time when the back Insixty six when they started. With occurs the helm as it was hard to get people to go out to see the games. It was rebuilding year and it took some time before they caught up. I think, actually that first year with curves, the coach they maybe you've either they made the playoffs or they did way better than People thought they would do that first year, So you know they got a pretty good foothold. But it was. It was rough sled for a lot of those years before Jordan came and whether they were going to stay or not, And with the attendance and everything Well, Now it's time, which ended higher each week. I believe it is. I'm not 100% here on the number of the cards that should be in that. Yeah, the ones that have two poses of each guy. You know if I remember right? It's just one picture on the card, and they're obviously too with these colors. Are they size like? Two by three inches. Yeah, There's a small one yet smaller. OK? Yeah. Usually that's that had two poses. Like the portrait posed in action pose of each one of the athletes. Okay, I'll double check on that. How many do you have, Bob? You know, I got a decent stick, but I don't know if it's the complete set, you know, like, you know, there's Hogan in there. I think mutual's in there, Williams. Bob Feller. You know that's pretty cool. How are they? Are they are they cut nicely or how do they look? They look tonight. Yeah, they look pretty good. You know, they got some pop on it, and they look well. I don't see those very often and I know there's some from the thirties to Lake There's a Lou Gehrig from I think, 36. You don't have that one. Do you have much bigger Tom? Those air five by five. Okay, Okay. Yeah, well, get chicken out. So what do you think that all of the ones from the fifties of you run those? We have had some of those. Yes in the past, and I mean, if you've got a year instead of those It can be, you know, north of $1000, depending on condition and which guy you have and how some police didn't years. That is so by that maybe something If you ever thought you like it's too late for October, But if you wanted to bring it in some time to send in for Of future Huggins. Oxygen. You know, we could do that then because that's what I'm trying to do is get some stuff for the February I was a little late on the October 1. But you know, I also have. I also have a few pictures of the beautiful Marilyn Monroe. Original photos while they're like the movie stills, and if I'm not mistaken, they got that blue stamp on the back. Which means that they were printed at the time was that they were taken is but I'm not. I'm not 100% sure on that. I'm you know, that's what I give you The best way. We have to look at those No original photos of Marilyn Monroe, where these air these were. These professional photos that were taken is like publicity photos or she's on the set and somebody has taken him. Like what type Photos. I would say they're like movies Still possibly. You know, they do have a little word it you know, Burbage underneath, you know, probably. I don't know, six by eight by 10, or they could be lobby card. Maybe lobby cards. Here you go. Bill. But with with a Walter Payton signed one in there with that make it worth Senate in, you know, in some other autographs, Biller. They still Oh, no. Any any autograph? Peyton would be there. Talking about collectibles, and we're joined right now, by Nancy Huggins and John Drummond for another week of which ended higher, but before we get to agenda, Drummond Now one of our items and here Is an extremely scarce And this was sold in the 19 or 2014 Huggins and Scott auction. This is an older one. 1926 shot well can be read. Grains. Rapper Now do you have any red Grange stories and never ever a chance to meet Red Grange? Yes, I did long. I wasn't around open of take a while, but I didn't see him play football. That was a galloping I've read so much about the galloping goes the Wheaton Ice man. They called the coming out of Illinois. And by the way, they called me Iceman. Now you're young Whipper snappers. It might be catching this show today would not remember that when I do enforced today myself that they used to get refrigerators were not life somewhere today had a big Huge blocks of ice to put in there to keep your food from spoiling, and Red Ranger did that He'd come by with these tongue's in the ice and take it to somebody's house, which is a great way to get in shape. But that's already called him The ice man, But go quickly went on the Illinois consensus All American three times and then the story Adam when he signed with the Bears of the football No football at that time were strictly and almost a sand light game, and he signed his first game with the Bears 36,010 days. Days later, he was at the Polo grounds against the Giants Bears versus Giants of exhibition 73,000 people reported. Wow. Unfortunately, Grange's career was hampered by injury is a pro. I know he was never quite the player that he was as a collegian as a running back, but he continued, and also played defensive back and A story that I want to mention what date's book up the 1960 when I was doing the sports show, Channel 13 and record, we're sponsored three nights a week by the Joseph Let's Brewing Company owned by the way, Let's hold more beer in those days in any other brewery in the world, including Budweiser. Once you're out, it's west of here. Yeah, that's that's okay. What's that got to do with red paint? Strange's entourage comes in the station to get him on live and in color. On a Wednesday night and all of a sudden, he says, are you sponsored by Schlitz? I said, Yes, we are. Can't do it because he was sponsored by a Falstaff in a broom. ST Louis, he would could not go on the air handlers would not let him go with another. The post people said, No dice, And so if the other station got the Gotham live and in color, we didn't you and rent out the next day because he was doing their games with George Connor, and that's the thing that people here would remember. You used to do the play by play for the Bears on the network with CBS with with George Connor, the former Notre Dame star. Great bears My name in it a little fire. Not that he didn't know football because he sort of murdered the English language. Everything gets so much from English. Morgan's slut into 30. What Red would do something like that? J. C. "From working with Vince call many of the air speed delivery bill Huggins of Hawkins and Scott auctions and our producer Erica Strauss ski rental aid you can give us call three one two three three two three seven seven six if you have an item you think might be valuable you think might be worth quite enough Huggins and Scott auction will try to give you an estimate of what it might sell for in an auction or even if its worth sending men and you can tweet pictures of items to my attention air to ground Thomas my Twitter ID a couple of items here's a Chris Ruiz sent I think he pulled the city crown actually he got a wind Soto one of one buy back autograph from it was in that Topps archives it was an old Topps card that's a fun product to isn't stuff like this yeah and you know this for sure was a T. crown because I can see if like bill you were saying in the background you could tell you where it's it goes through the case and you see price cards like underneath yeah this was people that so anyway one sold always hidden two ninety two with twenty nine homers in twelve steals and he's only twenty so he's like the same age as a corny he's one of those young girls got on a team that he's got ninety RBIs also again so please god so build now would that be an item if you wanna descended into Huggins it's got you at auction forum or do you think yeah I mean that I don't know what it would go for it so one of one it's a one a one body back autograph out a Topps archives so they bought back in older Topps cards fandom sign it and stamped one a one minute sure why not absolute I mean he is a good young player in the in flight from your area too so that's pretty and then when Fred this is in our a cool picture but like I told them I finally is unframed anybody there only selling in the seventy five dollar range but he's got that secretary at phone no worries way out in the lead and rammed her cats ride them and ran her cat signed it where that's in the one there's another photo out there of her cat curious to see how far ahead he was so he looks back in this match and so we took a picture and he signed that picture I have that for you and that we have that sexy I thought actually this one he's not looking back I thought all of the was looking radiant sign but yes yes I will have that one with where he's looking back that's kinda like all my god that's right where is everybody at sites displayed right next to the Muhammad Ali truck sign trunks I got from you right that was the end yeah that was Clemente is right next to that then the Walter Payton all on one wall very cool yeah wonderful words as a way to answer the phone to me from Chicago heights what's up to me what do you have I have a whole bunch of those hologram the inserts from like ninety one ninety two aboard an S. the ones that came out all our do you have any of the die cut ones that it or do you have all the blue ones that weren't tax cut I think they were reddish if they were drag that that I don't know I mean they're in boxes I know I have a ton of them because the upper deck you'll flooded the market with everything well some of the stuff from the nineties from the later in the nineties is in in good there are some good values like some of the Jordan numbered balls stuff that it resembles uniform that the autograph cards the harder to get rookie carries in high grade of like Colby and Duncan Duncan autographs from that so there's a lot of good stuff from the nineties in basketball but I'd have to see if we can maybe set at some during the weeks heaving Feynman send a picture of which ones because what a lot of different hologram cards that came out but if you got the ones I think it what was a from upper deck S. P. maybe where they had a one version and then a die cut version attack cats actually sell for good box so those can be pretty good cards I mean not the best in the world but some of those are pretty good so for the next level and then hired now what we do here is will list three items.

"You can call us three one two three three two three seven seven six. If you have an item you think might be valuable and we'll try to give you an estimate of what it might sell for in a current Huggins, and Scott auction, or if it would even be worth putting in an auction, and you can tweet a picture of an item, t- crown Tom is my Twitter ID Mark on Twitter sent me some info. This is good info, the ringleaders of the black sex scandal were chick candle and Swede Rhys Berg. However, Eddie seacat was the player of the gamblers wanted in the bag or there would have been no fix. So he must have been the, the key guy. And that's why the whole thing where if he hits the first guy, everybody knows. On then isn't that something that is that is very kind of you know, they brewed coming along after that is really kind of what they think I think save baseball and a lot of ways. Yeah. Kind of made them. Forget, right. That's like, the, the whole Ripken breaking the record kind of got the bad. The strike. And I mean, basically that cost them the world's the World Series right there. That's strike World Series that kind of brought Michael Jordan back to basketball because interrupted his attempt at having a baseball. They were trying to use them, basically as a PR for, and he didn't want any of that. So, yeah. That was good. I'm glad that happened for sure from that standpoint. So let's see here. Now what are some other things that we have coming in that are in the Huggins and Scott auction? We've got let's see here. This is another kind of well, you know what before we do that. I think let's just go.

"That's created seven okay? And the winner is once again it's Aaron. Oh, really? For sure that the Christie Matthew said, what have been the one on that too? And but the mantle okay, the that maintain forty-one play ball Ted Williams. PSA six went for fourteen hundred. The Christy Mathewson PSA four seventeen hundred in the mantle PSA seven of fifty eight taps to grant. Well. Pretty close, though. That's a tough one. It's really tough. Yeah. Pretty close. Trying here. I'm trying to bet you'd be good at horseshoe. Vince? Yeah. It does help you there. You probably would be good at horseshoe have been in the past one of our friends in a long time ago, used to have an annual horseshoe Turney Troy smell. He would make ceramic trophies for first and second places at, and it was a lot of fun, more fun than you might think. Yeah, it is fun. So let's see here. We've got a few or is there. Somebody there. There is okay. Michael from wheel Lena's online. What do you have their Michael bay guys by the way when you play that game if there's a tight you actually arm wrestle? Dislocated shoulder's during the show. So we're thinking I don't know where maybe they can thumb rest. Erickson. I have I have a, a framed photo array with three separate signatures of the demise, yo brothers, all now that's eight in. It's about twenty four twenty two inches by fifteen or sixteen except like that is that I don't have it with me. So I couldn't tell you I'm mobile right now. So it's three separate photos, each single signed in one frame. No, two signatures are on separate pieces of paper, it or not, acting onto the photos and a couple of photos show, the three brothers together or the two of them together in uniforms. So I didn't somebody told me I needed to get it authenticated to actually show of value or determinative, AO or two to get the most value for it at a debt. There is no prominence to it. So well. Now, if let's say he wanted to send that to Huggins and Skype to auction, you guys would get it authenticated. But is that an item that you would want him to send in? That's valuable enough that that could go on a Huggins at Scott action. Oh, absolutely. That's, that's five hundred thousand maybe more just depending on what it looks like. So in Michael the good part about it is, you can send it to them, and they'll get it off educated for a lower price then you'd be able to get a four on your own, and then they auction it for you. They'll do that, as long as you're going to let them auction at forty they don't just, you know, get things Kate, and then send them back to you. But if you ever wanted to do that, they, they could do that for you. Oh, I just think that you guys let me know the contact information be happy to do that. But that sounds wonderful great information. I listen to you guys sometimes on Saturdays. I've never called in and I've had this item been thinking about it. So now I had a few minutes, and well, this is a great call. Thank you. And finally decided to do it. You have anything else, you think might be good that, that might be valuable you have any old comic books are old cards or anything, but I do have an eight by ten Kouassi, a color, Walter Payton signed with sweetness oh done. But that is not leaving my. I've met and he's a he, yes. So he I number one list, number one guy. So, yes, sorry, no one gets very I have a signed card from the nineties of Walter Payton, where he was in the pack sane. And, and that's not going anywhere. Either one of those. Yes. From walter. So it's all good. Stories like when he had that restaurant need. It'd be there. And he was joking around with people all the time sound like a great guy. So. Thanks. Era community information on who I need to okay? You can do two things you can call Huggins and Scott at three zero one six zero eight zero three five five or you can bring it into triple crown in Naperville. I could send it in for you. How how big of a frame, is it? Not like I said, not big. I think like I said it might be twenty four by seven. It's only okay? Not that large. Yeah. So poster. So either way, if you wanna if you wanna send it directly or if you wanna bring it into me, and I could send it in for you. Thank you guys. So now Bill Huggins if it has to be authenticated is too late. Would it be have to go in the October or is it still enough time to do it now? Now. That out to be this week. We have time to get it in. Okay. All right. Well, thanks, Mike. Appreciate a guy, right? Have a good one. Right. Next down the line. We have wizardly. Phil from Chicago. What's up? Guy. So he doing doing. Hey. A couple of items that they're worth that much. But it's for a while. Could be a call. I've got a Packers home at that same by star and five star passed away last weekend. And he's another guy that I heard nothing but great stories about this guy. One time somebody said they were in Wisconsin. They were driving. I don't know if they were fishing at a lake or something. It was bad weather. They had car trouble. They were over on the side of the road. Some guy pulls up as if they needed help, and was Burt slurry. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It sounds like a great guy. So it's a full size Packer helmets signed by picker helmet star, scientists in the basement monthly graduate, think he had is Super Bowl one and to MVP and then fire foot, you know, MVP or whatever you vote on them. Raining. They're still on the same side of ordering either high. But if I'm going to be worth worth it with some banking. Get Rogers to site. That would be a great idea. I do to that because what, what do you think might be the difference in value Bill if he did get Rogers added to that you're talking about half again, as much Lee? Yeah. Plus, it would be it would be kind of fun to try to do it. Maybe maybe you could chug a beer. Good. Okay, one of you guys can check. Throughout that first pitch. I'm gonna hope he doesn't hit the photographer leg. Last. Unbelievable. But I'm a big fan. I hope this is a big year for my hope. He has a big year because I, I liked his talent. I think he seems to have clicked with that whole offensive line. They got the. The. Yes. So I like it. So hopefully hopefully they do. Well, we'll see. And we have let's see. We've got John from valpo on the line. What's up, Jen? Yeah. Good morning. I have a nineteen seventeen lithograph Chicago White Sox. There are five thousand of them princes, and I have number five six teen in excellent shape. Okay. So these are not originals from nineteen seventeen. This is a reprint you know what year they did that though. No, this is original from. What was it available? Well, I don't. Well, that's a good question. I don't know. The answer to that other than a rich all okay? And, and Comiskey's on it, and I think treasurer was on it, and then and many of the nineteen nineteen players, have you seen one of those Bill Huggins of what he's talking about? I haven't seen one like that. Although you're I think you're right time. I mean, they didn't have signed or numbered items back in nineteen so no, no. That's something done at a much, much later date. And maybe in the eighties or nineties, or something that they, they had the dish in of these things, what size is Janna sounds need. Anyway. It sounds neat look. Well it's, it's probably sixteen by twenty four. Okay. No, it's frame, but I, I picked apart. And I think it is. He's got it in nineteen eighty as a as a present. And it was I was folded downstate antique store, and I it little her point. John is had it wasn't later, Jenner point, is that it wasn't produced in nineteen seventeen that it was produced some time later, if it was numbered that they wanna have a number one, then is sometimes you can find out the year from it, that would help if maybe it's dated on the back or something, or we'd have to do a little research on that one. But t- crown Tom gmaiLcom and a picture picture front and back of it. And I'll see what I if I can find any for you. Okay. Okay. Very good. That's the thanks for the call. John regard. Okay. That's cool item. Yeah. Very neat. Okay. So that would be something that probably either way, if it was made before nineteen eighty I think that'd be a good Huggins, and Scott auction. Item, number two five hundred. Don't you think that that would probably be able to crack that if it's old enough? Did he say five hundred or five thousand I thought he said five hundred but we'll see. We'll see how it's numbered when it comes to sixteen thousand. Okay. Well, it's time for another short break the numbers three one two, three three two three seven seven six. You can give us a call. If you have an item that you think might be valuable. We'll try to give you an estimate of what it might go for a hug, and Scott auction, or even if it's worth putting in Huggins and Scott action. And if we can't find if we don't know off the top of our heads. We'll do some research and mention it next week. So hang in there. We'll be right.

"We'll be talking about some of the prices that the Huggins and Scott auction that ended may ninth as some of those items ended you can call us. If you have something you think might be valuable enough to go into one of their auctions. We might do which ended higher here pretty soon. And then, but I wanted to get something here Dan from Naperville regular customer was in. And he was talking about Otani and Otani has a lot of cards that are soft now because he had the time John surgery. Well, he's back now is a D H. And it sounds like he still wants to pitch. And Dan was saying I wonder if they could have them just be a D H and closer. So. There was a thirty. Save thirty Homer. There's never been one of those. It'd be neat. That is Cohen. Now think about it if he's DA DHEC. I think a lot of this would depend how fast he can warm up because of he's the H in. He can have an bad. He can, you know, go loosen up to whatever calisthenics needs in between. And then just whenever they say, hey, we might need, you know, for the ninth then he goes warms up. I think the great to watch. Yeah. Anybody else who probably has ever done that? I don't his fires. I know nobody has you said did was funded in. No, it wasn't as much more reasonable. Dan. Bad. If it wasn't brewers related. It doesn't exist. It's all about the brewers. Sure now tied with the Kobe's here is that what it is down after that came yesterday. Boy, the brewers used to roll over for the coast, but not anymore. They're playing tough. Now. Those games are interesting games. So it's time right now four. Hires? These are from the main nine Huggins skied auction just ended last week a couple of days ago. You're never gonna guess who this pitcher is nineteen sixty-nine Phillies game Moore and ro- jersey. It's a pitcher his game more road jersey what he framing. Wilbur woody. He never had a top season. Like Wilbur would he was he was a pretty good starting pitcher kind of average. Maybe a little below average overall with his war and his stats advanced standard size it signed. It was a Phillies game Warren road jersey. I don't know if I was signed or not I don't know that his signature just just build, you know, if that was signed. Woody fragment or if that would even matter. You're right. It's not. I don't remember. But I don't think big, right? Know the second Mickey Mantle nineteen fifty eight taps card number one fifty in a PSA seven and the third item. Former cub.

"Huggins, Huggins and Scott auctions. Eric Strauss is our producer. And we're until eight AM central time. We'll be talking about sports electable the values of items that people bring in the triple crown in Naperville items that go to Huggins and Scott auctions, and we're going to talk a little bit about the NFL draft last night last night right at the end of the day. A couple of my regular customers were in. And we were talking about what the bears might do and figuring. Okay. They're probably going to go after a running back, and I'm thinking, well, you know, I think they might have a shot to get the guy from from. Yeah. And then Kyle was like, well, you know, I'd like him to get David Montgomery, and I'm like why would too. But I think he's probably going in the second round. That would be awesome. If they could get him than the Rams trade up. Get the guy from Memphis, the bears trade up and get David Montgomery. I wanted him so much. I actually pulled an autograph of him. And I liked the list stuff on EBay during the draft. But I saved the David Montgomery. Just in case the bears got him. I wanted to keep that autograph of them looks great. He loves really. He's just always real quick real quick. So I I actually did a thing where I was looking up some prices of some of the top rookies people might not know, but there's nineteen draft products that come out twenty nineteen draft products where they have football rookie autographs guys that are supposed to be in the draft. So I checked out some recent ending on EBay Cuyler Murray on April twenty fifth a leaf metal super fracture, which is a one to one sold for fifteen hundred dollars. That's another thing that people might not get as how high some of the. Well, sell for when it comes out. Is going to go number one. Or did you think? Time. Yeah. I think that's even why they hired Kingsbury because he they knew he'd work. Well, or they figured he would work well with Tyler Murray on April twenty six at three o'clock AM this is now offer. Eric, what do you think this guy was doing at three o'clock AME goes, I think I'm good? I'm just gonna pay six hundred dollars for or thirteen hundred ninety nine dollars. It was a buy it. Now. Best offer any bids on it. What do you think are the ads that he actually gets paid for that? The guy's gonna wake up the next morning. Wait a minute. Thirteen ninety nine that's thirteen hundred ninety nine I thought that was thirteen dollars ninety nine with all the online shopping now drunk late night. That and prices are up now as far as paying for it though. That's the quest and what will happen. I would say it's less than a fifty percent chance that guy pays and keeps it, but you never know. What he did it at three in the morning, but. Different. I've got some other prices maybe later in the show like guys like Dwayne Haskins. Daniel Jones who jump that was the guy. Remember last week? I was saying that it looked like he might be a second or third round pick. And then he moved up to look like in a first round. And then like I was saying last week they they were thinking might go like six, then he did go six and giant fans. Look too thrilled with that. But you know, who knows how that's going to happen. So what we really want to talk about to start the show here. Now is the Huggins. And Scott may auction bidding has begun. It looks like it's off to a good start Bill. Yeah. I think they everybody was jumping in yesterday. We had been all day. Get really some some good prices on some things I had sent in a nineteen eighty six eighty seven flare basketball complete set for a customer with stickers and a PSA nine Jordan. It's already up in nineteen hundred dollars a nineteen o nine eve ninety five Philadelphia Carmel Honus, Wagner graded s g c four point five that's up to three thousand dollars already lots of things doing well. It's throughout the show when we have time we'll mix in what some of the prices are you can go to Huggins. And Scott that calm the auction bidding began yesterday goes through may ninth all kinds of price ranges, all kinds of different things. You can bid on you can search by category. There's things like comic books Pardes sets autographs, ok of different things. It seems like you're getting your even branching out a little bit Bill does seem like you've had more comic books than you used to have. Well, those those comics that sold for over one hundred thousand dollars a piece kind of open people's eyes. Book that woke people up a little bit. Six figures tends to do that. I think of a sudden and everybody's like racing up to the attic by. Yeah. That's that doesn't hurt when something like that happens. Well, you know, going back to your three AM bidding we have banded big Kristen's about I think bits of tequila too. On the night. Little people. Times whatever it takes. Yeah. That'll keep the bidding going strong now. T crown Tamas, my Twitter ID the number here is three one two three three two three seven seven six. If you have an item you'd like us to talk about the value giving try to give you an estimate of what it might be. I've been getting a lot of my Twitter, ideas, t- crown, Tom, and and I'm Saturday and then throughout the week. I get a lot of people that tweet pictures of items to my attention. And this is something that I thought was kind of interesting Bill, this is you get these. Now, this is a little different a photo of maybe a four year old Tiger Woods on a golf course. He's by a golf cart with some guy that I don't know who it is. But it's a little tiger. What's three or four years old? And he was like he was renting golf, you could tell he was you know, dressed golf. I remember him being on a TV. Show when he was like three or four league. Yeah. The Merv Griffin Griffin. Yeah. And tiger was on there. That'd be a good video to one. That's incredible. With France, talking sponsor. You guys aren't going to believe this little hit. Tiger sixty seven years old. Yeah. I remember watching on believable. So now now Bill you guys get this is this is a snapshot. So that's not as good as like, let's say he was swinging the club, and it was eight by ten or something, but type one photos, which are printed from original negatives within two years, the time the photo was taken you get a lot of that stuff in your options. And they do pretty well. So some of them really well. Oh, yeah. He has is actually started capsulated those now where they will feel it in a holder about the GRA, and I don't know that they grade them, but they will certainly authenticated as a original type one. Yeah. Which is I mean, that's really neat for for instance, you have in nineteen fifty one Mickey Mantle original type one rookie year photo of four by five. And it's up to two hundred thirty dollars already in the bidding in it. And you had some of those was a Jack Belus photos where they actually use those photos for baseball cards that that did really well. Yeah, he was one of the if not one of exclusive he was pretty much the photograph for tops in the fifties. Yeah. Very cool. So neat stuff. So that particular tiger probably isn't worth that much. But a snapshot you probably wouldn't even want to try an auction which ability would you wanna try that from? It would it would almost be neat. If you could kind of, you know, mounted with a we've got to get tiger to sign up, you know. Oh, yeah. Or yeah. Or your writer or mounted next to like a pin flag or something that he had signed, Ian from Naperville is on the line in. I bet I know what you're calling about it might rhyme with tobacco cards. It might in fact. Yeah, how you doing? I'm doing. Well. How are you guys? All sounds like you're all right and bushy more just like every Saturday. We were all out of bed. We're like, we're we're doing a dance. Feet hit the floor. That's it. That's it. Yeah. So pretty excited that the hugging and Scott has gone, and I've got some lots of stuff in there. And it's it's my first time without guns inside got got to tell you Bill Huggins, pretty good guy. Yeah. Real good guy to deal with you've got to tell you that a couple of your things that I noticed here that nineteen thousand nine to eleven to six white borders. A lot of ninety six with tougher backs up to fifteen hundred dollars in bidding already after not even twenty four hours. It's not a bad start and the lot of eight graded sovereign backs with lash away PSA threes up to nine hundred seventy five. So when I when I was thinking now, you ended up you have a lot of tobacco cards you had over two hundred of them in so many of them you had with the hard to get backs. Like how how did you decide? The do it. And how did you go and find a lot of these cards where the end the internet it shows like like tell people what what the experience was like when you started. Sure. Well, the the experience was my my son was playing, you know, literally baseball and t ball and all that stuff, and I took him to Cooperstown New York, and when we were in one of the shops there I came across an actual a Muir Ed T fifty one card, which is the college Syria tobacco card. Yeah. And it was the college that I attended. Okay. So. Yeah. So it was Bethany college in Bethany West Virginia, and I saw that. And it was with a pack your at pack of tobacco and box. And I was intrigued with that. And I bought it. And when I came back, my son had been collecting baseball cards and would come into your shopping. We talked about as a little, and I think. Because of his excitement of collecting. I decided I wanted to do sort of big boy collecting and got involved with the after talking to you with the t two oh six cars because obviously, it's it's more valuable set of cards much a much broader offering. And so that's what got me started on the two six. And when I initially started I was just sort of collecting any to six I could get my hands on because I didn't really know. And as I started doing more and more research and learning about the backs and the the different fronts and so forth. I started to really sort of Hannah curate what I was buying in order to to try and find the things that are more rare little more valuable, and maybe a little more. And so that's what got me started time. As just my son's interested in collecting, you know, sort of led me to collect. And boy, I'll tell you. I remember when you were saying when you came back, and you said, you know, you you were thinking of selling your collection, and I knew you had been going after some harder to get backs. And I'm thinking, well, you know, I bet he's got twenty or thirty cards when you came with that itemize list there was like two hundred forty eight cards or whatever was I was like, wow, you really you really did get into this. And you did a great job with it. I mean, you got some really cool stuff. Bill was saying on the show last week. What did you say you sent in? Okay there. There's probably there's over one hundred cars well over one hundred cards of years that are in the current Huggins and Scott auction where the bidding ends may ninth. But there's another over hundred cards or so that are going to be in the July August auction and Bill was saying on the air last week that. How many do you send them to get graded from that Bill? It was like a hundred eleven or one hundred twenty something like that that we got back and there. Well, I think there were hundred eleven we set in and then there were about header fifteen that we needed to get re holded because they did they didn't put back on the front of the little flip. They didn't put what back it was. Because I guess what? Ian got these things that wasn't PSA protocol at that time lift what back Tolstoy or Lennox everything. So we we had the the fifteen that he had re holder. They now lift the back on the while tell you it really this is going to be fun to watch the bidding at it. And see how some of these things do. I mean what she ended up doing. Now. Why would do were you ever like searching out where like you're saying, for instance? Okay. Some of the harder backs. I wanna try to get a broad leaf three fifty today. I want to try to get a drum three fifty. I mean how. Did you just when you saw something you're like, wow. I don't think I've seen many of those did, you know, the order of like what were the hardest ones. Or did. You just kinda see things and pick up the ones that that you hadn't seen much of. Well, yeah, that's a great question. So after doing some search, I found some some sites on the internet. I find the one that I maybe went to most often was called t two six dot com. And and they have a listing of all of the cards, and then also information on the different backs and the rarest of the backs and and so forth. And what I would do is go to EBay go to the go to the auction sites. And look at seeing what was being auctioned, and and just kind of following it and saying oh a cycle three fifty back. You know, which, you know, some just you know, a. Common player. Mike go for five or ten times. What I would expect just a common part to go for. And so I started to focus on those more rare backs. And so when I go to the shows, I would try to find the vintage card sellers and just say you got to six. Of course in the glass case, they would have all their their Primo sevens, eight signs and so forth..

"Triple crown. It's a nineteen eighty six flare basketball complete set with a PSA nine Michael Jordan rookie, plus the eleventh stickers fifteen hundred minimum bid those sets are doing well build on you think that eighty six fleet or anything in in high grade, that's Jordan, it seems like in so many other good rookies in there. Yeah. You'd think he was making a comeback. Right. Well, I think it it really helped the value of his stuff that he isn't signing a lot, you know, so his autographs the cards where he's in a bulls uniform his he's an exclusive with upper deck. They haven't had a basketball license for years. So he hasn't been signing in card products. He's not around the lot doesn't sign it shows or anything. So like I bought a card in old five at the time. They were selling for like three hundred and when that gentlemen was talking about how well the Jordan. Lebron autos were doing I I have a collection of the top. I got all the top fifty guys that they named like twenty years ago. And then I'm Ed and fifty more of guys like Westbrook and LeBron and all those guys why checked the Jordan that I have when that guy was telling me a PS. Ten just so for fifty one hundred dollars. It's like, wow. So that's that's really gone up. Now, some things go for a lot that are older than that in Huggins. And Scott auctions. Here's another from the November twenty eighteen auction Huggins at Scott auction nineteen three.
