"All eyes are on the conversation because of that epic feud that started in 2000 whatever where he took the microphone from her. On the stage at the V. Emma's when she was but a teenager winning was it record of the year album of the year or Song of the year, something of the year. And he felt that Beyonce was owed that honor. The second. He brings her name up. Everybody has whiplash because we're all going to pay attention now and no matter how much they both are guilty of bringing this feud back up and putting it street Front and center. In this moment, it is Kanye West. And in this moment he is doing essentially the very same thing he did when he took the microphone away from her and he's basically saying Lee, you are not a whole human being. Let me do this for you. Let me tell you how this should be. I will see to it. I will go to Scooter Braun. I will ask him to give you your master's back. And he's It's not gonna happen. First of all, this is literally everything that comes out of his mouth. I alone Khun save, you know. Which is Ego nonsense on 100. Different, unadulterated ego fully now what is interesting? Well, I don't know. I mean, we're having a moment because this all cut came after Kanye West Pete on his own Grammy in the toilet, But like he literally peed on his own. What is Grammy in the toilet and Pete on no metaphor like that. Actually, you get put in a Twitter timeout. For that. I don't think for that for something right after that, though, right? Allegedly according to his Twitter friends. Yes, but he is back online now. In any case, he claims he's just going to walk right out up to Scooter Braun and get Taylor Swift. Her master's back on theirs. Just like all these this undertone to that, like That I just that feels icky and I mean, I read the room or not, in the moment where a man needs to show up to save a woman, right? And not only visual stand great and not only that, but again, it just goes back to that. Same well of the Taylor Swift. Kanye West Schism. We don't need to do that. We just can We move forward. Let's all move forward. I'm ready to move forward. Are you ready to move? Fire? Ready to move forward? We're gonna move forward, right? Yeah, we are. We're going to move forward to another conversation, and this one is about getting the Coburg ng. Together. We have a story about the Kardashians involving Kanye West. And Kim Kardashian that we need to get to the bottom of so we'll get the coburg ng together when we come back after this on the Colleen and Bradley show on my talk, one of 71 nothing but good times getting.

Kanye West Says He Wants Taylor Swift's Masters Returned to Her

"West. Conney. Let's I don't know if he's listening to crystals nightcap the chances are point zero, zero, zero, one percent, but he's out here. What we need him to do I don't know if he's all talk right now I'm really hoping he'll walk the walk but today he tweeted something that I have personally been hoping that he would tweet for the past few years. So he tweeted that he is going to personally see it that Taylor swift gets her masters back from Scooter Braun. He says Scooter Braun is a close family friend and that he believes Taylor should own her masters. So either Connie seeing my tweets or he's listening to our podcast or he seeing the swift that are attacking him on twitter or he's just. A good guy. No I do think he's a good guy. You guys know that I've been. Back and forth with Connie, it's been really hard to be a a loyal fan to him because of his past. But as of recent watching his interviews and stuff I feel like. What he saying makes sense I admire his passion and his perseverance. I think he is a genius I think sometimes geniuses. Think, way ahead of their time and I think that's where Connie's been stuck at because he did address the whole him wearing a make America. Great again, make America great again hat and He said that with that whole thing, he was just trying to show that just because you're I'm black just because you're black doesn't mean that you have to be a Democrat or follow the status quo like he wants to show that he can do whatever he wanted to do, and in that he did hurt people. He didn't really acknowledge that or apologize for hurting his fans that way and that was years ago. That was four years ago however I do understand and see where he's coming from in that aspect and now that he's saying that he wants. To help Taylor swift with her masters. Dare I say that I'm becoming a Connie Stan again like dare I he's also been tweeting about drake lot and Not. Going to lie. It does make him look a little bitter like it makes him look kind of like a hater. And I think. Maybe it's just because drake hasn't been responding publicly and I've been saying that like one here. Drake's going to say but drinking say nothing drake. He's a man of very little words drake. He'll put it all in his music. You know he told US exactly how he felt about too cautious with his latest song, which is called laugh now cry later right And I think the same is going to happen with this situation I. think that we're going to go new song from Drake and he's going to be subliminally addressing these things. Because It's just hard to stay silent for so long when you are. In the middle of. The biggest artists. Twitter outbursts, thoughts. This is what kind of an episode but not really again, I don't want to discredit him because I feel like he's saying facts saying what's true and I've said this and I started tweeting. A few days ago or was it weeks ago? So I just really WANNA. See what Drake's going to say I am happy that Kanye got his twitter back definitely gives us something to talk to and look forward to I'm happy that he's tweeting positively about Taylor Swift I'm happy that he's scooter bronze family friend. You know what I think about Scooter Braun. I think he's awful. I really. Think he's off for. I, think that he likes to play the victim I think that he likes to play innocent He knows that he has Justin Bieber on his back. He knows that he has day when Lavar. That's got his back and I just think it's really wrong what he did to Taylor buying her masters when. He knew that she couldn't do it herself I think it was really wrong i. think it was dirty that he was posting stuff on his social media saying you know high bought Taylor swift or his friend posted that like imagine his friend posted ella when your friend buys Taylor swift and it was like the article of him buying her masters and then Scooter Braun reposted that I thought that was very tasteless and kind of like rubbing it in Taylor's face and. Do, I think Kanye West is going to persuade Braun to give Taylor her masters no I I don't think that Scooter Braun is. An undercover narcissist

Who should replace Ellen?

"News is ongoing. Generous. Ongoing News that won't stop are one nemesis might be replaced by our other nemesis. On their talk show the Ellen show. Well, these are that this is them news, but I do feel like Ellen could be replaced with a WHO, if this all comes to fruition or like a WHO thinks so too person because I'm seeing a lot of people nominate various talk show e people although apparently the rumors are like James Corden is going to replace Ellen, but like he has a show so. That makes no sense to me on any. That's what blows my mind. Why he has eight hundred shows. He has just made another daily show like that doesn't make any sense to me at on. The also has carpool. Karaoke. And then he also has the cat sequel like he has plenty, oh. Yeah. Let's replace a supposedly nice person with another supposedly nice person like. Haven't. We learned anything from this thing. These people are Nice. They suck. I think always be wary of people who say their thing is being. I think the number, one person who should clearly replace Allen is Kiki Palmer. There's literally no. Better obvious. Getting a lot of a lot of traction and she showing up a lot of tweets because it's like she just had a talk show that got canceled for no reason on ABC. Well, it was like that one hour of Commerical Strahan. Michael? And Kiki Sarah? There was A. Third Sarah. Sarah. And Michael and Kiki It just give it to clean working it. Just everyone likes he. We Love Kiki. She's a great host. Who else do you think if if we're going if for skewing young? I think we to Kiki for skewing older, I think it should go to fucking the woman who should have gotten David Letterman, amy. Sedaris like give it to amy sedaris because people like her. She's silly. I don't know that, amy, the thing is I. Don't know that Amy Sarah's would want to do that I. Feel like. I don't need that. We're talking about this on the Patriot. If you WANNA. Go listen to that about how drew Barrymore also has daily, show a daytime show coming out, and I'm like who would want this job? Drew Barrymore wants this job since when like it's just to meal a a weird job that you wouldn't want that could turn you or probably. Turn you into a monster, right? Yes. but the to provide a context in case you've been under a rock people are like there. There have been the rumors for years and years and years, but specifically the past few months they've really you know the hit a critical mass and started being reported publicly like Ellen is an asshole to everyone. Ellen is an asshole. The people she works with Ellen makes people not talk to her ellen cruel. But now there are reports by like news and variety and insider that it wasn't just ellen being a to everyone and celebrities and not liking Ellen like being on Ellen show. It's that the executive producers were actually like being abusive like in sexually harassing the employees. So it's like a culture. Culture of toxicity. That is the sort of thing that I don't that Ellen is deciding up allegedly that she doesn't want to deal with anymore. So she's like this sucks like I just rather not do this anymore. Right. So but this rumor, this isn't this is in fact, this is rumor because people keep their keep going back and forth and saying some some sources say she's not leaving this show sums his sources as she's leaving the show. I. Can't imagine somebody as likely a annoyed with the whole situation who is known to be not a very nice person would want to continue to fake be nice and have to apologize and half to like kind of whatever because these rumors have been. Kind of like I for some reason I, keeping you Kevin Spacey Pre the abuse allegations like when everyone knew he was gay, but no one knew he was gay like it was weird thing where it was like if you knew, you knew if you didn't, you had no idea what be totally shocked it. Kind of feels like that type of Hollywood news where like everyone knew that Ellen was secretly mean except for Ellen fans who had no idea where living happily with ellen everyday of their life and like the show was wildly successful, right? very strange. A very strange thing. Do you think that this will happen because people are so bored in their craving, the Gospel, and then somebody just this is this is what I mean I, think it's I mean. It's a combination of a lot of things at one of is like the people finally speaking out about their employers. It's like finally like shutting down like the. The systemic issues and leg, not being corporate America and knowing that people will support them and believe them and believe them, and that like the media machine of Ellen isn't powerful enough to shut down. So many voices if enough come out and and we'll talk about it later in the episode, but it's like the it's similar to the. Vanessa. Morgan thing, it's it's shades of an ESA Morgan being like I'm going to speak up against the riverdale creators and the Riverdale producers because people are people are realizing that they can do that and they won't get like dumped on by the press or of their fans they will be seen as like heroes. But. It's also just like, I, Think Dakota Johnson had a tiny bit to do with it because Dakota Johnsons like Open crubaugh open open. Rudeness to Ellen SORTA. Gave People. I don't know permission to speak about rumors that she's an asshole more openly. They're like, it looks like that's what Dakota's referencing. So I didn't even know you liked me. Of course, I. Like you. You Knew I. Liked you. You've been on the show many times and don't I show like. But I did invite you and you didn't come. So this time you invited me, are you sure? How do you? I don't think. So ask everybody. Jonathan. Your producer. I was that, why didn't I go? I don't know that became a meme. You have people like Brad Garret and who else replied to him. Leah Tom's Tom's joins. She is mean she is. She. Yes. Now, I can't believe I just called the Thomson. So Deutsche US minor. That was obsessed the disease of this show right here. Yeah. Leah Thompson also respond to that and said Yep I mean, I just think that it's like no one was a true story note once you lose grip on the fear, you are the power you had over I mean, and it's funny because then you have scooter Braun coming out her being like Ellen is great. I. Love Allen is like so people still. Look at the people coming out and say L. Like scooters, hedging his bets at this, all go away and back to normal and Ellen will still be powerful and whatever, and then you have people speaking out i. just it's a fascinating reveal of a monolith almost kind of crumbling that you didn't think would ever. Be exposed like this. I didn't. It seems like Palmer is getting a lot of A lot of press over like a lot of tweets being could replace. Ellen is trending key Palmer got a lot. Tiffany haddish. Got A lot that woman who does the like trump impersonations? What's her name? Sarah? Cooper. She got a lot of people tweeting about her I mean, I think it's just bomber just someone who someone who actually. Got Some tweets booing reply Oh doodoo be from drag race also got A. Drag. Race. Got I. saw that. Yeah. But I think he palmer when you when you want someone who has like the resume as well like. You of don't WANNA, pick someone random like Sarah Cooper. As funny as she is on twitter, because like her her her skills as a as an interviewer, not proven whereas Kiki, Palmer is a link interviewer host. Yeah I mean I would say like the Ellen slots, big slot made we just move up the ladder. We get Kelly Clarkson in that slot. We get Drew Barrymore Kelly was and we get key. Palmer. Work. Curse, lot I know these are all people on different network. So it makes literally no sense but you. Better like we. We cannot confuse the audience. We must replace the Ellen show with someone named. Ellen. Ellen Ellen. Page's like don't look at me like another gay. Just like I will not I will. Zone POMPEO, she wouldn't do it. I. Don't I don't need Elon Pale. Ellen Page Ellen Popular, and Never Would Ellen Pompeo every interview Ellen Pao's ever done. It's been like I. Love Grey's Anatomy I. have nothing but free time like. She will never do that. You know who would do it. Who Ellen Barkin? Embark and all Ellen Barkin wants is a soapbox like did someone say soapbox?

"So this year sucks. And it's weird, like a lot of weird things are happening beyond just the general suck Ege that's happening. So this is just a weird thing like this is it's like more proof that 20 twenties completely off the rails. Kanye West. Now thinks Taylor Swift wants his help with stuff. Yes, he is tweeting because that's what he does. He tweets so much that he had to get shots in his hand causes concern him from tweets on, Um he tweeted that he's going to personally see to it. That Taylor gets her master recordings back because Scooter Braun is a close family friend. I don't want to be the one that breaks us to Connie. But when money's involved People are much less friendly. Like what do you know? I don't know what her master recordings are worth. Now and Into the distant future. When it comes to royalties, etcetera. I mean, no one is going to just give her back her masters. Maybe he'll offer them for sale. Maybe maybe Kanye can talk Scooter brought into this one. I don't have high hopes. I don't I don't know enough about it, but I have heard A lot of different musicians have gone. It found a way to get their masters back from their early contracts. So it does happen. I assume it costs a lot of money. But even then whatever the price is, it must not be It must be worth it for an artist to do that. If they did it, right, right. Well, it would depend on who it was famously Michael Jackson bought the Beatles catalog right out from underneath. Paul McCartney. One of you outbid a beetle on the Beatles catalog, like didn't seem fair, but It's worth whatever it's worth right at this moment and then because it's not just royalties, its licensing then Paul doesn't have anything to say about that. They you right to Michael Jackson and go Hey, is it okay? If I use your song for this, or hey, is it Can I re record your song and put it on this. I mean, there's so much money involved with an actual successful catalog. I guess what I was trying to say, though, is I think that there has to be some kind of friendship or some kind of of of Bro Heim feeling towards because otherwise the the record company would say. No over the life of our company will make more than that by keeping them so there isn't an amount. You can pay us because our company will outlive all of the people walking through this building at the moment. Right? I think the only time they sell those catalogues is when they need a cash infusion. Maybe comes after grab me why any record company would say no, It doesn't benefit us it all. Sorry, Taylor. Swift is going to be making us money long after our grandchildren are dead, right? S so I don't know how County thinks he's going to do that. But he is on a mission to get out of his contracts, and Teo get his master's back. So maybe he's yelling about the most famous recent case of someone not being able to get ahold of her Masters. Speaking of women who can't stand Kanye Ah, Kim Kardashian is there is much more smoke. I am not saying anything's on fire yet, but there's a lot of smoke. Kim is thinking about divorcing him over. Just who he is recently. And his heart. Don't see the half of it. You know that right? We don't. If we see the half of it, I'd be amazed, right? We're seeing the tiniest right crust of what's actually happening there. None of us has to live in the same house of this guy. Right? So some source you're saying Kim is the whole divorce planned out, but she's waiting for him to get through this latest episode, he might never get through it. She may have a long wait, but she's why would he have? You know she has to deal with PR in a way that We're only mildly familiar with, you know, I mean, I can't imagine the weight on her when she's sitting there feeling like I need to not have this person in my life, but I cannot walk away at the moment. I will just be seen as someone who's deserting someone who's very sick. Absolutely, and she's got four kids with this guy. There's no scenario where she's completely out of her life. Unless he abandons his Children. There's just It's a mass anyway. Good luck to everyone there. Good luck, Taylor. I hope you can help you could look him. I hope you can help Kanye. Do.

Demi Lovato Spills Tea on Friendship With Selena Gomez

"Abbado is spilling the T. On her celebrity friends who okay Demi is on the cover of Harper's bizarre and she talks about is the main issue as she talks about. She's no longer friends with Selena Gomez she does say that she loves the supportive friendship that she shares with Ariana Guerande. Let's start with the start with this. Okay so she says to women who are in competitive industry. The whole world seems that they wanted women against each other. So it'd be so easy to do that so she loves that Arianna in her. Have this great friendship. And there's not any kind of competition there as she talks about how she really really valued finding good girlfriends industry because she has such a hard time doing that Do you think it's hard to find friends within the same industry your end? I think it depends on how young you are. When you get into the industry I think a lot of times when girls come up together in any industry at some point the level of immaturity in the things that you go through in life will tear you apart that I got into this industry later on in life so the friendships I have. I don't see as competition. I see more as a guiding light. Like for me Scott Evans. Who's also you know? A young black man on this type of show is Kinda Sorta my guiding light in this whole thing and had we started off younger had been going through the trenches together in our early twenties. Maybe that wouldn't be the same. Yeah you know. I haven't done this for quite a while and I do know what you're saying and I do think it's changed. I think when I was younger I do think there was a lot more competitive and it was never outspoken. Typical High School Bullshit. You know where it's like. Oh well Carissa is is doing that. I could be doing that. I'm better than her. You know things like that that would be unsteadily said behind my back and I'd hear about it was like high school gossip stuff you know and then you did you got to an age where you realize. There's room for everyone right and the better. What does honestly lift everybody up so but it takes a long time to get to that point and I don't know that any some people don't get to that point I think especially in. This is not demis industry or our industry but I think reality stars have a hard time with s because they all think that they have the most interesting lives and that they have the best stories and that's why they do make a reality stars because they have this competitive edge with each other that it's really hard for them to be supportive in cheer the others. Don't you think I think when you start a reality show early on and again at the younger age I'm going to go at it? Behooves you have drama with somebody to have that competition. I think what producers trying to do. Is they try to say this. Is Anyone show? Whoever comes up and shines the most will be the queen. Bee of the show are the king of the show. So I think that's how they set this whole I think the same thing happened with Demi Levato and would selena Gomez there were people in their ears backing fort being. You're the next big thing. You're the next big thing so you automatically became competition. But it's so odd to me that now that these girls are in a more mature age. They've gone through stuff in life. I can't believe they haven't turned around and said while we are obviously more related than we know. We're both going through different things. We've both are struggling with our mental health. Maybe let's go back to those to those moments when we were kids in talk about the things that we went through and talked about how our mental health that was undiagnosed at the time and untreated might have played A. Yeah absolutely. I think you're right but it's interesting. Because so here's the thing what she said about. Selena Gomez they're basically. She said she had mixed feelings. What's laying posted this message on instagram? After performed on the grammy's because she basically says when you grow up with somebody you're always going to have love for them but I'm not friends with her so it felt that Dadan. She stopped herself I think he was looking for the word disingenuous and I think after your friend goes through something like she went through a matter who you are if we haven't talked in five years and you came out five years later and said that you went through this. You almost died. You went to Rehab. You got you know you brought in for evaluation and I was your friend at any point in my life. I will stop. Pick up the phone and say hey. I just saw your performance. It was moving. I just WanNa let you know that I'm here for you on top of that. I would double down on that if I had been through. Some of the the same things as we heard Selena Gomez open up about her bipolar disorder and about things that she was struggling when there is no better opening. Line to recuperating a friendship like. I know what you've been through. I've been through the same thing before snow. Use the L. That Selena. Maybe didn't take that step detects her personally and the fact that she went out and did it publicly. It almost looked as though this genuine over grill. You got you know somebody who knows somebody who can get in touch `Gabon to get my number for united then connect this belief. I think that sometimes they don't take the proper steps and when I'm sorry if you would oppose that about me on instagram and tried to go that route. I would've been upset. Yeah I talked to. I can't help. But wonder if her becoming closer to scooter. Braun made her rethink what she thinks about Selena. Thank I can only imagine. Scooter has said some stories and know some things about her that we don't know about and she's probably heard them. Maybe I don't know I wonder win. Her mind about a wonder what point it became. Slain is not my friend. I mean I mean the fact that she's going on record in a magazine. Sancti is not my friend I mean to me I feel like most loved would have been like. We don't talk as much as we used to. But you know always love her and you know always support her. Whatever you'd give some sort of vague answer like that but she's like we're not friends at. I think this will happen before. Scooter Braun. Because they haven't been friends in a very very long time and I think if anything I think moving forward scooter. Braun knows that twelve step program in an INS and out the INS and outs of it I think. Scoot Ron has been a part of an has had a hand in getting a lot of his artists on the right track and he knows the steps and he knows that forgiveness is a big step and he knows that making a man's is a big step and sometimes making a men's isn't about saying hey. I'm sorry it's about saying hey I accept that we're not friends anymore but I don't have any blood because my sobriety is important. I DON'T THINK SCOOTER. Braun is going to fire up this engine. I do think though the Taylor swift of it all might have played a part in it because Selena is a huge supporter of Taylor swift and Demi Levato came after Taylor Swift after the scooter. Braun allegations have been made I. I don't think it's a scooter. Braun thing I think it's a quick thing okay. I don't know I just feel like if you already are starting to change your mind about somebody nearly certainly cut them out of life and then you cut them out of your life and then you become closer with people who also don't love this person it just as fueled the fire to be like. Yeah I don't need you in my

"Pd Alright now. Back to pretty big deal. Was there any fear when you realize how big this was actually going to be? When I'm seeing so sick by Neil on YouTube. That was like one of six videos that were up. I knew what I could do with this. I saw the whole thing play out well until he was eighteen. I didn't know where goatee and I wasn't ready for that. But you know but and it's all great now and I'm really proud of the man. He is today where he has Haley. Happy is rounded for everything. Sweet seven billion people on the planet billions before. No one's ever grown up like him. No one's ever grown up the most google person on the planet their entire adolescence and world of social media. Yeah so I credit him for where he is today But I saw pretty instantly and I I was like bieber fever patient zero leg. I was in my dad. Used to say to us when we were growing up. Everyone takes shit on the toilet just like you. Hey So don't be intimidated for real. And so whenever I'd go in a situation where. I was slightly intimidated. I would actually visualize that person on the toilet struggling through shit. My parents always taught me. Why not? You You know like why not you? And everyone's equal everyone's equal in this world. Why not you know your grandparents came from everything else. So I feel like every situation I went in. I thought why not in my dorm room. I read a book that changed my life about David. Geffen book that. He's you know we're not going to that. But he's remarkable mentors now. He's become in my thirties. I met him and he actually lived up everything I dreamed and he became someone very close with. I love him to death. The thing that made me believe in myself when I was reading that book and learning his story wasn't that he was perfect. It was that he was flawed because he was flawed. It made me believe that I could do it because I know. I'm flawed and I think that's something I've really been working on sharing. Take me a long time to get to this place. That vulnerability is strength and I actually not only can give myself comfort but I can help more people by telling them with everything that's happened in my life. I'm still figuring out I'm still broken. I'm still scared at times. That's not only okay. That's normal I wanNA talk about your vulnerability because you have become so open about it but I wanna get to it because I feel like there's so much build up to where you are now and just getting back to just a little bit. What has it been like having a relationship with someone like him and seeing them now and living this out I was talking to someone is Alfred. Flores Frito was on the road with me and Justin for years just videographer and actually. He's now on the road with Arianna and we were talking about how it's become to normal for us that you get. I wouldn't say jaded but like you don't realize you know one concert you bring someone backstage. And they're not a part of that element there like holy but when you're doing sold out shows all around the world multiple artists and it becomes something pretty phenomenal. I still see Justin. I don't see Justin Bieber. I don't see Arianna Guerande Arianna Arianna I. I see them as humans. And I've been there from the start and I've seen them at their worst. I've seen them at their best. They've seen me at my worst and see me and my best and you become family with these people and you are naive. You know that at one point things might not work out everything else but for the time you are together. You're grateful and we have no intention of going sideways. All these people I get to work with. It's wild when I see people reacting in a certain way because I I don't see them in that light. You know and I get protective like family. Sometimes because in today's world all you need is an audience to say whatever you want. There's no accountability anymore. You can literally make up your story and say whatever facts you want when people talk about them and have no grasp of the truth and there ain't conspiracy theories we all get one hundred forty characters the same time so. The person with credibility has the same size. You know as the person who lies every single day. I get very protective. 'cause I WANNA fight for them but what I've realized now after all these years the best thing we can do is instead of fighting on their behalf and not an answering everything. He's just look them in the eye and say don't even worry about that. We know are truth. Let's keep rocking. The storm is calm. There's nothing to respond. The storm will pass the truth. Always comes out in the long run. Let's show with our actions. Have you felt the need to overcompensate in order to gain respect especially being such a young player in such a big world for a long time yes nano now you screw it or Brown. No because I want to give me good advice. Oh what did he say he called me on my Bsn told me an important lesson. Break it down for us. I was at a lunch with him. And another person who you like. Success is relative but this person is in the world of finance one of the biggest in the world. Okay we asked me a question and the question was kind of demeaning like who are you kind of thing. I responded kind a little confused and then that you respond another way. There was also a little bit demeaning because I had no idea who I was and I felt the need in that moment to Buck. Up Your chest out a little bit and let them know who I am. They exactly and when the lunches over this guy actually later came back to me and was like Hey Paula. Jones didn't realize love to learn more and was kind of apologetic. 'cause he was a little bit rude at the time but David Sesame after she goes scooter. Try to talk to you. And he pulled me aside and he goes. Don't do that and I said what do you mean he goes. You felt a need to tell them who you were because you felt disrespected your ego one. Your insecurity one. You have nothing to prove and when you do that you actually look less than because why are you having to say this? And I realized the only time I've ever let my ego win is when I'm insecure. You know when I'm when I'm nervous when I don't feel respected and that's not on me and I kind of realized I gotta let go of that because I know as soon as it happens. I'm like Damn I always say that on wishing it buck up arrested and put my chest you know. It took getting called out by someone. I respect to basically take a look at myself and say why do you do that? You do it not because you deserve to be respected. You do it because you're insecure in yourself and some you have some kind of need to feel wanted and I was like I don't need that I know my truth. Have you'll have the kids? I have my friends like I don't need to prove something to someone. I don't know because if I do that I'll be chasing that my whole life but sometimes we don't even. We're not even able to hear that kind of advice unless if it is from someone that we admire hundred percent and by the way. There's a high likelihood I'll make the mistake again. Right where human one hundred percent? But next time I'll learn faster and each time get better and better and I've gotten a lot better from it from that advice but the I'm sure there'll be some moment in the future where I just feel super disrespected. But now it's kind of flipped. Now my favorite thing in the world I don't go out you know this. I don't leave my house now that I have kids in my wife like I just love being home but if I'm on the road and someone's like me offer drinker like meet me at this club. Nothing makes me happier than going to like some cool club and walking up to the door and the doorman not known why am and just hold their. That refused to speak to me. I just love to sit there. And that's take it in and people like looking at me like you want me to tell him and you'll get. I'll probably like friends with the owner of the place or something like I've known for fifteen years and and they'll be looking at me and I'll be like no. I'm actually really enjoying this moment. And it's the truth is because that. That isn't validation. Your validation is your friends and your family. Yeah you're undoubtedly one of the top people in the music industry right now and I want to know who you're most excited about so I'll answer an interesting way. I got question last year and I actually said Billy Island in her that I was like not mine. Love these artis. I'm excited to see what Lizard does next same Because I think she's out of this amount for two years and she's having her moment but I'm sure she's like ready to do something else too and she's so phenomenal cheerily. That I'm excited to see what happens next people that I'm excited that you're managing right now. Our auto and J Belvin. What's funny sad so Jay? Bob IS NEXT ALBUMS PHENOMENAL. And so was her's it's amazing. I mean I would like. She's the she's the most honest she's ever been thank God. I'm so excited to see her honesty. Like come out through something that she does so well. Matz saying that. She's never been honest but just just to know what Demis Ben through through the public perception to here in her words is going to be unreal. And she's doing it that way and I. I just told her I was like look. There is no judgment here. This is health happiness. Most important thing we have this conversation. I think she. She knows she's completely safe to do whatever she wants. And it's vulnerable in amazing. I'm excited to to see demi thrive such a Demi Fan when I said NOT DEMI. Yeah I met her. She was remarkable. I said yes no I was I was like I'm going to say no when I met her. I die. Stop saying I was like okay. Let me with her people called. Will you taker no person? He's meeting but I'm not going to do this. We have too much going on and I met her and I said I have to do this. She special I want to do it and she told me she was meeting with. No one else she's like. I want it to be you by told her. I need to speak to the two big solo females. We represent. 'cause I WANNA make sure that they're okay with us and who are they Tori Kelly and Arianna Guerande huge vocalists. Both of them and demis big vocalist. So Tori was no prom. No issue not not in my lane right now and Arianna is huge pop superstar and they knew each other so Demi I say you should talk to her to make sure she's Okay Demi and Arianna went for coffee and Arianna called me and said you have to do this. I want her with us. You know she like she's on her family. I know she. She'll be protected. She's my friend. I want her with us. I want you to help her and I just thought that was really really cool and very different from what you expect in today's music industry. We did a listening party with Demi of some of the songs with Arianna Arianna was giving notes and saying. Oh excited she is and it's just it's really really nice when everyone's encouraging each other in fact. I was with Jay Baldwin last night. Arianna facetime me..

"I had an opportunity to go to college so they basketball and when I got to school my one of my best friends was Jay Williams who was playing at Duke And he was on the cover of sports illustrated in definitely future NBA star. That's cool and everyone was so excited about his games. And I'm like no one cares about my and I also didn't like being broke. My Dad never gave me a credit card. My whole life like he'd just was like get a job as long as you're in our house put food on the table but you leave this property figured out the kids. I went to school with how different situation. A lot of them have credit cards. And they're like let's go to the clubs and I'm buying this and I didn't like being broke so My buddy sold fake. Id's and I said Your Business Plan Sucks you're GONNA get caught so I basically showed him how to make a better business plan how to push these fake New York. Id's and a lot of money. Margins are great and we made a lot of money for freshmen. In College. Very quickly a lot of money and I had. I won't go into details but I had a way of doing it That was very lucrative where we would there was some called Airtran. You remember that was so this is pre nine eleven there was an airline out of Atlanta called Airtran that flew all over the country basically Delta flew and as long as you have a student. Id You could fly anywhere. Airtran flew over forty nine dollars if there was an open seat. Well you just show up. Get OFF FORTY NINE DOLLARS. Pre nine eleven. We used to fly state schools for one weekend. Go in you made this global nationwide I well. My thing is like we do on our own campus. You Shit in your backyard. You smell shit so I was like. We gotta go so we would fly to state schools away from our school. Use fake names blanket in two days. It didn't matter if there were mortars we were out of there and I said you can't keep in touch with people and he broke. My rule kept in touch with someone I said I'm done and so I did it for like two months and then stop had some good money and then I walked by nightclub and asked the guy. Hey would you give me money if I brought people and he said yes and that started. My Path is a party promoter. Wow I mean you can't e kind of can't knock it because it's like where you are today but if one of your little boys grew up and started doing that now what would you say. I did a lot of things looking back now as a father. I UNDERSTAND MY DAD'S FRUSTRATION. Because my dad grew up in. Queens was a refugee groping and immigrant neighborhood and his parents are super protective. And like all they wanted to get him out of the neighborhood get him a good life and then he works really hard and moves us to the suburbs where I can go to a really good public school and have a really good life and then suddenly I go to college call myself. Scooter tell everyone. I'm from Queens. Because I'm embarrassed to say that I'm the first one it'd be living out in the suburbs and punk eighteen. Nineteen Year olds goes in and just like gets in the streets of Atlanta heavy and I saw a lot of crazy stuff and I experienced Things that I would never want my child to witness and I now understand why my dad was so upset and I look back and it's not like I think sometimes there's a guy try to flex and you'll feel your vodka and everything and I don't really look at it that way I look at. I was young and stupid and I didn't need to put myself in any of those positions and I'm very blessed and lucky that I didn't get caught up with the wrong stuff on never sold drugs anything but I was around stuff. I shouldn't have been around and I got very lucky that my life is where it is today in and I. I'd rather just suit my kid. Honestly tell them the stories right and be like. Don't do this from my mistakes absolutely but you talk a lot about your dad and I want to talk about your mom because I feel like she's the rock of the family she is and and I want to hear more about you. Know I'm growing a little boy inside of me and I want to hear about that. Mother Son Bond. My Mom's the moral compass of our family. Oh Wow you hope. Each generation is better than the one before and I told my dad all the time. I'm better than you. Because she was my mother she is the truth. My mom had me when she was in school being honest and she wasn't planning on having me. I always a pleasant surprise as she calls it and she actually do you. Rank can can the oldest okay. She actually walked to her graduation. Nine months pregnant with me my mom was one of the first female orthodontist in the country ever own private practice. She always raised us with respect. And it was very strange because like as you know. My family is Whether it be Holocaust survivors to adopted brothers. Not everyone in my family's the same color and I also grew up in a household where my mom and dad were completely equal They both were working. They both like were there for us at every single event together. They both like superheroes and I never saw. It is my dad or my mom. I saw it as a unit and I saw it and my dad was loud but when my mom put her foot down that was a that was it and my mom wasn't afraid to argue my Dad. I was raised by strong one. S- always wanted to be with a strong woman strong woman. Sometimes we look for what we we saw. Justin's mom and I are crazy similar. Have you go his funny? Because she's really remarkable because she doesn't talk about it I remember one year and this is something I've never talked about because it's something more ashamed of but I can talk two years later. We had like a sold out. You know show or somewhere like a big show and it was a lot of stress. I was really excited. Show happens and I'm like we pulled it off and I think we were filming it or something for. I don't even remember what it was and the next day. I realize my mom's birthday was yesterday and I forgot. I being caller or I even spoke to her mentioned it and I called her up. And I'm so apologetic and my mom goes. Don't even worry about. It made me happy. My birthday was knowing that you were succeeding. And you're happy and the luckiest thing for me and my life is that I was raised by someone that selfless. She really cares for us. I think only a mother can have that like. I'll try to be the best that I could possibly be but I realized I was a dad. The Day Jagger came out you guys feel every little thing kicks the kicks it real. You're making life and the weight but it's look you guys keep them alive you know. Yeah I I fell more in love with my wife watching her. Keep my children alive because my kids want nothing to do with me. They were like come here. Life source you. I don't need But it's my mom. She doesn't get enough credit. I'm spoke about enough and I don't know why mom abroad. Yeah she's really really. And here's here's someone who lost her father very suddenly when she was eleven and they did not come from a wealthy family and at the time he was the breadwinner. Wow you know and my mom decided very early on. I'm never going to be in a situation where if I lose my husband. I cannot provide for my family and that is why my mom became a professional. I really admire. She's just a very very special special person. It's good I mean she's kind of probably been a major catalyst not only with your marriage to Yale but also with all the powerful women that work at. Sbp It just goes to show how you do Put strong powerful women in Great Lights? You know it's funny you. Someone said to me all our parents imprint on us whether it's good or bad the imprint and if my dad's watching this hill laugh and my Momma love this but you know. Eighty percent of our companies win. It's awesome and our senior team is majority women. I laugh because I probably trust my mom a little bit more than I trust my dad and I might spill over in the workplace when my dad. That's Joe it's fine deal with mom loves it but My mom she wants to believe in the goodness in everything and it took me a long time to figure out. That's a better way to live and I'm just very like she's an amazing grandmother now and I'm just very very lucky to have her to get into work a little bit. So you know we've all heard the. I Love College with Asher Roth Story. And then how you then found. Justin Bieber push through so much rejection in the beginning. There's nothing that ever turned into something major in my life. That people were like do it. It's great everything that ever turned into something major with something. Someone told me not to do some of the like unsung heroes. That really helped you in. The beginning was just just in his mother. Taking the chance another one was a guy named Tom. Boyd whose ashes friend who actually picked up the phone and hung up with me and the first time thinking. I was the cops trying to cancel their party. How old were you at this time Twenty five thirty guys. Like Shock Zulu manages ludicrous. Who really looked Al from him? His brother Jeff Dixon the beginning of my career There was a guy recipe secure Stewart. Who was one of the first mentors I had in Atlanta Jermaine Dupree gave me a job as the vice president is so so DEF when I was twenty years old Because he saw me in the party scene in Atlanta and thought that I had more potential than just being you know in the party scene. There's a lot of people along the way who are. Kinda stood on their shoulders to get where I needed to go to you know. I don't think anyone does this alone. You know they're just people who took chances and risks small so thing a blog that was killing it that I said. Would you please put this artist stuff? And they looked out. There are people who are just kind You know it's funny that when you're starting you remember the people who don't need to be kind kind don't even do anything. They just happen to work at the company that you're working with and you're in the hallway and they actually notice your breathing You know and they choose to be kind. I never actually some of these people I never did work with. I just would see them all the time. And they're always nice to me when they didn't need to be and then years later when my life's changed those are the ones. I want to reciprocate. Those are the ones like. Oh you need help yeah. We didn't do anything together. You actually did do something. You made me feel valued when you didn't need to. Kinda so far completely. That's what I talked about my grandparents earlier. You never know who somebody is like. When I met my wife. She actually tweeted something. That maybe WanNa meet her. That's how I asked my friend John. Please introduce me to her. It was quote by Plato behind for everyone fights a hard battle. Wow and you don't know what people are going through and if you can just be kind of it goes it. Goes a really long way and you never know who you're being kind to win. That Karma will come back around me you know all about that self care and one of my new favorite self care..

"Today we were talking to the incomparable. Scooter Braun. Scooter is one of the most incredible music managers in the world. You know him for bringing us. Justin Bieber Arianna Guerande and countless other amazing musicians highschool Veron Hi. You're you're a pretty big deal. This is exciting. I remember when you came up with the idea what a lot of people don't know. Is that not only? Do I know you? But you and penny are business partners management team and it's only been like what two years now maybe not even now. I don't think so either not a really good run. We have and you had me over to your house actually before I officially signed on the dotted line and it was so nice. 'cause I walked in and your houses gorgeous your wife. Yale is so beautiful inhospitable. You've got three gorgeous kids and I want to talk to you about the importance of family. And look congratulations again. Thank you you guys are starting your family. Yes and there's just nothing more important because I think we all kind of you know are a little bit damaged. I actually grew up in a really stable warm household and I think even you know you get damaged. Somehow you know everyone's dealing with their stuff and then when you get older you look for validation to kind of handle that damage and then some of us are lucky enough to have what society considers success who you might get fame. You might get monetary success. You might get the attention you've been looking for but it doesn't actually validate you and the way you want and then you see these people who have success having sadness and kind of depression because they're a little bit lost of what it actually looks like but I found that people who have a foundation of family whether it be the family they make with their friends the family they start or the family they already had. They're able to sustain a lot better because that's what really matters. Yeah I mean that's awesome. When did you figure all of that out? I thought I knew it. I knew I'd say all the right things because I grew up with a good family. I don't think I actually figured it out until I met my wife. He'll oh no it's honest because I was. You know there was my insecurities. I was having a lot of success and I was looking for you know what validated me. And then when I met her I realized you know between her and the kids. I don't need that validation anywhere anymore. I can just do good work and I can try. Be Kind to people. Other people's issues are not my issue. I can only control my own actions. But she kind of gave me that comfort that I'm enough in that home enough and then when I come home and I think my issues at work or whatever. I'm dealing with such a huge problem. I come home and I realized there just an inconvenience that not a problem because my kids daddy play with me. They don't care about who I am out there. They just want Daddy. I'm actually really excited for you to get the mommy. Come play with me because you're going to understand that all this stuff that stress you out in the past it doesn't matter. I'm so excited for that and I I. I need some scooter advice. I would give advice to different people but I know advice I'd give to you. You and I share ambition. This thing that I've just come to terms with and I know you're who how you are. You're going to be the same way you never going to be able to turn it off When the kids come like I said you always know the right thing to say. I know the right thing to say But there's going to be a struggle which I used to wrestle with. Actually someone gave me amazing advice. Where my true biggest fear was this idea of balance? How do I balance? What I know is real inside me. Which is my never ending. Ambition versus being a good father and a good husband. Because even though I am a good father good husband I know I could be better but sometimes I choose ambition and I used to think I gotta figure out balance I gotTA figure balance and that's going to be a struggle for you to meet your beautiful child and you might have more children in the future and you're going to want to be the greatest of all time and the greatest wife of all time but you still have built this thing. So this point of Ashley Graham and you want I know your dreams like you're not gonNA give up on them and someone gave me really great advice because I told that was a fear of mine and they said you're using a word I hate. I said what does that. And he said I hate the word balance interesting and he changed my life with this advice. He said this. This word balance means you're weighing something against something else in he goes. You should never have to weigh your ambition. Verse Your Family. He goes it just. It isn't make sense for you to have to wear your dreams verse being a part of. Your family he goes. I want you to change the word in your head to harmonize. Because if you're at work and you go home. Something's wrong at work. You can't give your children the proper attention and if you go to work and something's wrong with your children you can't give work the proper attention but if you're able to harmonize them and bring them together and make your family a fabric and everything that you do so that your kids are going to grow up being proud of what you do understand what you do understand your frustrations rooting for you. The same way senior work ethic and wanting to be a part of it and vice versa. Everyone at work knows your family is a part of who you are and they are welcome in everything that you guys do. Then you harmonize the two. And they don't have to balance off each other and it's also a stress relief you know. Take the word balance out of everything and just say okay. No everything is going to harmonize around me. It just feels lighter. It feels lighter it. That simple changing of the word in your Brian Makes it make sense in a weird way And then the the other side when you talk about it feels lighter. What are we doing this for? It's for quality life to me. You said you said what are we doing this for? Why am I working so hard? I'm going to go play with my kids. It's just that simple. We'll have I call you tomorrow. And I said actually I need to meet you to meet with the CEO of a major corporation. I know you're going to prioritize. Yeah you'RE GONNA kill the meeting you. Why are we not prioritizing kids? The same way this is true so you should put it in your schedule. This is good putting schedule like literally. You have your child tell your sister. Whoever put in my schedule this time like CEO meeting? Why should someone be able to call if they call you and you're the CEO or are they going? They'll take your system. We'll take a message and they're gonNA say she's behind closed doors an important meeting. Why shouldn't your kids have that same attention? Oh my gosh major mental note in still talking about family. And you know we've been able to discuss this a little bit because it's a big part of your story is about your grandparents and I want the PB the listeners to know about that and where you've really come from so my grandparents on my dad's side those really really close. I'm close both my grandparents. My Mom's side. Her Dad died when she was eleven. pretty suddenly and my step grandfather raised me on that side and My grandmother and they're great people. My Dad's side at a huge effect on me because my grandmother was fourteen years old when she went into Auschwitz And she was liberated a year and a half later in Bergen Belsen And my grandfather was Dhakal so they actually met after the war the Holocaust but they were survivors of the camps and then they went back to. Hungary met each other had two kids and then escaped during the Hungarian Revolution. Nineteen fifty-six and my dad's a refugee in the United States knowing their story knowing what we come from knowing that my grandmother literally saw the worst of humanity on a daily basis used to run in a circle every morning naked while Dr Mangla decide who lived and who died and she still was. You know she died almost three years ago now. Anyone who met her? We'll tell you she was the light of every room when she walked into. Everyone loved. Ma That's what we called her. She was just a very special person. My grandfather died when I was fourteen and he was he was a strongest man I ever met and they were just really remarkable people you know. My grandmother died. My oldest son got a meter and my youngest son was born nine days after she passed. Wow my daughter obviously never got to beat her. I wasn't sad that she left me. I was sad because she already gave me everything I needed. I was sad because if they would have got to know her the way I did and love her the way I did and understand that this woman survived. The Holocaust came as refugees worked in a sweatshop eighteen years in the city. While my dad grew up they would've loved her the way I did and respected everyone because that was the gift so like when I go out places and I see people doing an odd job or you know struggling in their nine to five or whatever the situation that might be. I know that there's someone's hero the way they were my hero and everybody deserves our respect and as my kids. Kinda grew up in this extraordinary lifestyle. Because what's happened to me and my wife I wanNA make sure they never lose that so You see the cocoa. I don't think so. You'RE GONNA see a lot of kids movies when you have this show. I do love like Pixar or Disney. Then you have to see cocoa okay. I'm giving a lot of profit cocoa here but this is this is a must see. Why Coco is is really Great Disney Pixar film? It's basically about this kid in in Mexico. Who the day of the dead comes. It's great yeah. I saw it on the airplane. They have all these pictures of the family members for the day of the dead every year for the day that they come to this table and they tell the stories of those lost and what happens is in in in this world. They disappear when no one remembers them. So you need family. Remember you and I thought that was a really beautiful tradition so by my front door. There's this table and when you leave it. There's now pictures of family members who have passed including my grandmother and every day before my kids go to school as they walk by they say and they say goodbye to the picture and my son knows he has her green eyes and like I promised her when she died they would never forget her. They would know her and that movie helps. Give me a tool to do that. That's really beautiful. It's good I think it for kids to know where they came from gives them a sense of pride and And Confidence I agree. I'm glad that my son will be able to know where he comes from and it'll be about his grandparents also being so involved in his life but just switching gears a little bit still kind of on family. You know you. You had a little rebellious side to you. You were out there selling fake. Id's looking for water off like statue of limitations. How many years? I think I'm okay. Did your parents know that you were? They had no idea. No I look. I played I'm not the biggest guy but I played basketball competitively growing up..

Can Taylor Swift change the music industry?

Can Taylor Swift change the music industry?

"Ever since recorded music came a big business artists have been getting screwed by their record. Labels this is is not a secret. Ask anyone who pays attention to the industry and they will give you plenty of examples outside the industry though. It's not usually public book unless it really interferes with an artist ability to make music and even that it's never this public lately. There's there's been a new shift that has affected me personally and that I feel is a potentially harmful force in our industry and as your resident loud person I feel the need to bring it up. And that is the unregulated world of private equity coming in and buying our music as if it is real estate this it just happened to me without my approval consultation or consent you might recognize that voice it is one of the richest voices in the world. So yes Taylor swift can afford to take a risk. She used her acceptance speech when she got the woman of the decade honor at the billboard awards to to address her very public feud with scooter. Braun who is the new owner of her former label big machine and along with that the owner of dozens of songs thanks swift recorded early in her career. So what happens now. Is this a new precedent for the music industry with artists. Speaking openly about who Owns the art that they create or is this Taylor swift doing it. Because she's Taylor and she can and how will her former label and scooter bron fight back. Jordan Heath Rawlings. This is the big story. Amanda Kingsland is the National Music Director for country music stations on Rogers radio across the country. She's been following Taylor swift since Taylor. Her came onto the scene. Hey Amanda Hey how are you. I'm doing really well. And why don't we start with. Do you remember when you heard Taylor Swift for the first time time and what you thought I do remember actually i. It was the first few months I started here at the radio station. We received We received her album. I'm in an envelope With a bit of a plan it kind of came with this rap sheet that Said who she was and what the plans were for her. You know this would've been maybe early. Two thousand six. So kinda pre people sending you an email with all the details so it came in a big envelope and I remember sitting down and listening to it and I re I. Yeah I remember some of the songs thinking this is a little kid and I remember some of them thinking. These are incredible lyrics. I remember immediately really falling in love with the Song Teardrop Guitar. I thought it was really really smart. How for single Tim McGraw resonated and how they were able to use that to really get a foot in the door and country music and I remember being here at the station when the phones blew up asking who that girl was or who what who sings that song that the toxic Tim McGraw your she resonated with people immediately? And you don't see that a lot with artists you see having to play them a time especially in a time where social social media wasn't where it is now there wasn't a big social campaign or digital campaign to put her in front of people. They did that organically and it caught on so quickly. Where where did she come from? And how did she come up in the countryside of the business. We'll Taylor grew up in Pennsylvania on a Christmas tree farm which I always think is such a cool fact and just very authentic in the country lifestyle. I think to grow up in In the woods or growing your own trees Turned to songwriting really early and You know obviously her. The parents were super supportive and realized that she had a gift because they brought her from Pennsylvania to Nashville In the early two thousands when she was about thirteen she got a publishing deal with Sony at fourteen years old and then signed a record deal with big machine records from there and and you know she spent time writing songs and then did what you often hear. People people do and went from label to label asking to play songs for people in asking for a record deal. So that's sort of how things got rolling you know. She went up and down music row pitching her songs as a fourteen year old was at guitar and got told no over and over and over. So yeah I think that that's a really that's a very you know picturesque story. You would hear about somebody going up and down music row in Nashville asking. You know knocking on doors and asking to play their songs right. It's like the the quintessential central origin story. But then she signed with big machine. And what happened when she was just getting started with them. That matters now like why we're talking about it today. Yeah yeah well. I think that how big machine started is kind of important to this too. Big Machine was not a record. Label Pre Taylor Swift Scupper shadow left. His current aren't label. who wasn't interested in signing fourteen year old writing her own music which was a caveat in how she wanted to do things and so he decided to start big machine? Gene records Not launched with Taylor Swift. And you know I've I've heard Scott sister actually worked for the record label for years with us on the Canadian side and she told me about them sitting on the floor of an office space he had rented and there was nothing in it yet and he called in some favors from some other people in the industry and they actually were pudding Taylor's albums in envelopes on the floor in this office space and mailing them to radio stations hoping for airplay and that sort of how big machine started was with booth with Taylor. Was it talked about in those early days. When she signed that record deal which was two thousand six? was you know that part of that deal. Was that the publishing rights to the songs things that she was singing were owned by week machine. Every person has a different deal an every person has different publishing houses or how they get songs and how those are broken broken down as far as royalties go. It's all different for everybody so I guess you know at that time. It didn't really matter and then fast forward a handful of years in a whole lot of success excess and You Know Scott selling the label. which involves Taylor's music and the rights to that music? So that's how we end up here today. Eight were hearing this buzz around Taylor not getting to perform her own songs or Taylor you know not owning that music that we all have come to love and why. She's where she is today Eh. Can you explain a little bit about how those rights work. Because I think some of us who listen to music take for granted that different people might own the actual rights to a song. But I haven't heard ever before really of somebody not being allowed to play their own music so just so you know we can clarify that. Rights eight means copyright. It means you know licensed music and that means that the publishing rights would earn you money when it streamed downloaded put on a CD performed live heard on a radio station used in a television. Show anytime you hear that song whether it be live or recorded somebody Is He's getting paid because it's been licensed so that's what we're talking about when we say you know not owning the rights are not having the rights now because of a breakdown of how those come together and again it's different for a a lot of people in how much percentage they get of each category by category. I mean there's a lyricist or a songwriter. There's a musician who pulls out altogether. And then it's published through a publishing company who copyrights it who gets a percentage so You know Taylor's case. She may be collecting royalties as a songwriter air. But she doesn't own the rights to those songs and doesn't get to control Unfortunately with those albums released with big machine she doesn't get to control when those songs are used because she's she doesn't have those rights right so they can sell them to a commercial and she can't do anything about that right now now as far as I understand if they were to do that she was still get a portion based on being the lyricist songwriter. But she doesn't get say on how it's used. So how did this escalate into the kind of public feud that we've been following for the back half of this year. Well in my opinion Taylor swift is an incredible incredible businessperson and she. She always has been even when she was on. Good terms with big machine and sitting in those boardrooms. She was very active in the decision. Making so I don't know that not having the rights to these. These songs became a problem until she wasn't in that boardroom anymore. But she's always been outstanding to her fans she's cultivated. This incredible following she gives gives so much to those people who then she can in turn ask things of as well and when this became a problem for her she was able to turn to her fans through her social platforms and let them know what was going on and request their support to get her to where she wanted to be. And you know as much as there's so many people have somebody opinions on this But quite frankly it's quite brilliant to who use this fan base that she has and that she's cultivated to get the results. She thinks that she deserves her. Needs to see and I think that's how we all ended up hearing about it. Is Taylor making us all aware And again that's one side of the story when Taylor comes out and makes aware of what's happening but it started with the company being sold or with majority sheriff of big machine being sold his scooter Braun And she was unhappy happy with that. And then she disclosed The publishing and how what the breakdown was and how. She doesn't have control over those songs. Everybody loves to hear her sing. So what is Taylor. Claiming she wants done like what does she say happened. and and how does she feel. She's been wronged. I've heard I've seen a lot of

Tony Robbins or John Ashcroft? Would you like to follow is an entrepreneur? I mean, it started with Mike asking I mean, that's just Tom's being able to understand his story. That is one of the guys. I mean, he's he's he started this whole kind of ideology, man. He was the pioneer of this base. Yeah. And I mean, I don't agree with every everything they're doing, and we have our own fight against giving which is is really important to us in the sense that we want to empower people not just give them things. But at the same time seeing him work through this space seeing him compete with some of these brands in the world through this social impact model has been inspiring. And it's wick what's kind of led to to me feel like I can do this. Do you have any things that you've studied events that you've attended people outside of him that maybe you read the books that you really enjoy of learn from. The major book that I've read recently that has really is the promise of pension pencil, and I forget exactly the promised by automobile. Yeah. Yeah. I read his I read his book recently. Scooter Braun who manages Justin Bieber. Oh, really an idea brought his brothers of scooter Braun manager Justin Bieber out umbrellas passenger province. Are speaking on the same stage at an event. That's what I was trying to get any shut to all the people know that. That's that's incredible. Yeah. I mean, just hearing these stories of people who are making it in this space, and in this kind of nonprofit realm, and who are making most impact is just really inspired. Because I mean, the at the end of the day. I I want our company to get beaten one day. I mean, that's a weird thing that no one ever says about giving serving. "It's a ludicrous trade. It's like laughable. You need to bring value. I talk a lot about people eventually working for people for free. If I want to be a music mogul I swear. I'll say it this way because you the team has made a clip for me to post on Instagram of where I say. Eventually people are going to pay me two hundred thousand dollars to work for me, and I'm not posting it because it's to do in it's framework. But I'll say this if my nineteen year old best friend, if my best friend, you know, one of my best friends from college already has like an eighteen year old just had a baby early. If that kid hit me up right now and said, Gary, I'm desperate to be a music mogul. I would literally tell them to hit up his dad Glenn and pay scooter to work as. An intern for free for him. I'm being dead serious. So you know what's funny about you saying that it's and it's funny that you say that for two reasons one? No, no, listen. It's for two reasons one because I always tell me when I meet them, I was like, stop worrying about getting a job, create so much value for yourself that they will not let you go. And then number two, just today and I'm not going to those stories. It's a personal thing. I saw an opportunity to spend more time with someone I admire and I know that the time every time I spend time with them, I get knowledge that makes me better. And I said that I would literally I was, I was like, hey, I want to pay for this for us to go just because I knew I was going to get more time with that number super flattering to me when you offered. I was like, no, no pay. And I was like, no, it's on me because and I was fighting it because I literally truly believe every single minute I spend with someone who gives me that knowledge is the return is a tenfold every single time in the same way that tells so many view that you need to find.

"And I will agree on is patients matters, man. So run marathon. We ate so much fucking shit. Like I just it's so not frustrating because I want everybody to win, but the amount of people that are going to lose that thought it happened overnight for us without understanding the sheer amount of out. One thing I also know about scooter and I'm sure this is why he was because I know this these days. I'm sure this it was even more because we were both younger for that reason. Like sheer hours of output. I'm like, eighty four. I'm, I mean, look, I'll speak to that and Gary just triggered something in me. So I still remember vividly going home in my twenties, and my dad's saying, I want to talk to you. I think that you're working too hard. You're missing out on stuff and I looked at it and I said that I'm trying to do something no one's ever done before, you know. So. I'm not in that mode of joy yet. I'm in the mode of grind and I had to make certain sacrifices to get to where I was that being said, when Gary was talking, I was also thinking about, you know, there's this big misconception about success because of stories like Gary stories like mine story, like Mark Zuckerberg and people think it just happens that you know young age and in goes for you and your thirties, and the truth is the average entrepreneur doesn't even find the business that makes them successful till they're thirty nine years old. And I just read another article that got put out that the average entrepreneur who has a successful business in tech is forty seven when they start. So there's this misconception. It's all these young people, and it's just not the truth and don't forget brother. The other thing that I'm scared shitless sub is it's been a decade of good economy. So you've got all these Instagram entrepreneurs that are going to get blown the fuck out when the economy hits the fan and people were over leveraged trying to act like tough guys and gals, and they're gonna lose. There's so many layers to this. Your biggest advantage is your eighteen bingo. Like I'm scared to. I'm so curious. I say this a lot school don't take life. Take like you have such a great family thing going on like professionally. Would you trade everything you've got right now to be eighteen again, Dan. What I know. I'll give you ten percent just for the sake of this game. You get to take ten percent of your knowledge and you get to be eighteen starting from zero. Would you take it professionally? Okay. Let me just preface it by saying I would not trade my life to eighteen ever because I now know my children exhausted and I notice how I hedged it said your family life. Take that I'm out. Yeah, go back. Of course, you would. Yeah, go back and this is why all these eighteen year olds twenty two year olds, twenty four year olds. I'm like that I'd kill the game with ten percent wonder same suit or one percent kill you. One percent. Let me back one percent metabolism, crazy. Whatever I want to listen. You need to be patient brother and you need to bring value to mentors people, cold Email, DM scooter night twenty four, seven, three sixty five and they're offering to take us out to lunch or drive us from the airport..

"In the moment of the I literally would rather, you know, you have your brothers song be distributed on in the background of a blogger that's crushing YouTube right now than you getting discovered. I can honestly tell you. I think a lot of artists they wanna get to me right because of my career, I would even say at thirty seven. I'm afraid I'm becoming a dinosaur. Like I I, you know, this technology is disrupted music so many times and the resources are so there. I got kids now I got, you know, a hundred different businesses. You know, the way I built an artist was because that artists was twenty four, seven, my sole purpose. And I think that the resources I have now can take an artists from stage eighty to g in a, we'll skip all the other letters because I have the network, but I can't do it without someone getting the step away. And step a is is is really breaking it themselves and having that passion. And if you guys are talking about this and you're calling in from Vermont, what he's in New Mexico, it means that you got a lot of passion for your brother and I would use that passion 'cause you don't have to be next to them. I mean when I was doing Justin, he was in Canada half the time and I was doing it from Atlanta mean the resources, the resources are there for you, give it to the people. Build it with them. And then you'll be having a very, very different discussion. The next time you call. Respect that and listen, I'm telling you this and this going to help a lot of people, the biggest Boehner ability. I see across the board in everything in culture. Business life is people are putting something on a pedestal that was yesterday without understanding what's going to happen tomorrow. This has happened already. The leverage has swung to the artist because distribution is controlled by the internet scooters giving you tremendous advice in lieu of what he actually does for a living in the same way that I tell big brands everyday don't hire agencies, even though that's what I do for a living like, and the reason we're doing that is because I, we create other opportunities for ourselves because we're always hedging against the vulnerability of our current state. But second because being starkly correct is always going to be the value prop. There is absolutely no reason to pander to getting signed. You need to get the audience to love you. You need to get the music distributed out there. And by the way, if this was twenty thirty years ago, you'd be saying, how do I get a distributed? I'm pretty sure you know how. Do that on a worldwide. I know. That's definitely, you know, that's something we do. Yeah, that's good. Run on Spotify. Fifty thousand place. So. The answer is more right? Like the thing I boy having Boyd in the room. I meet with a lot of emerging hip hop artist because I like it. It's fun, but I always tell them more fucking music. Please like like you're one fucking song away like the preciousness the producing goods. Here's what I'll say. All video. You do Kyle, Gary. Yeah. And that was one of the early ones. Right? And like the, I just don't understand how people don't understand an unbelievable part of this is more. I think it's more than us think if you're, I think part of your question because I want to give you a proper answer. Also you're saying, how do I know work with these people? Let's talk about who you should network with you said you said you have fifty thousand plays on Spotify. Figure out Iran's. Listen figure who runs playlist on Spotify for the John urine and do whatever the fucking takes to get to that person and make them believe in what you believe in. And that's what you should be focused on. That's who the labels gonna call focus on that person. Why? Okay. That's mart. Of course. It smart. Who the fuck? Do you think your chicken to fucking Scooby? Dooby. True. Awesome, man, good luck or let's go next, which that's exactly right. Like like, you know, I was working on something fun. I never got to tell you about it because something happened nonetheless, very simply, I knew more about rap caviar in forty, eight seconds then coming from zero because it's just not complicated people..

"Gary Maxon works to brother maximum. You're on with scooter Braun. How are you. Oh my God. I've Kurt. How are you? Good. What's your question? Yeah, I'll come up with a question on. My brother is producer. I been doing it for about four five years and I help them sometime. And my question is, is that goes along, we'll so you look down to Mexico and I lived in Vermont. So we do mostly FaceTime, but he does a lot of people excited about this like the fact that you're in Vermont, and he's in New Mexico is just the greatest part of this story because I don't know how many people have the Mexico, New Mexico, Vermont relationship. I think it's rare. I think there's a very small amount of people that the connection is Vermont New Mexico, and I think you need to think about how rare that is and maybe monetize it. Okay. All right. Keep going. It's a rare combo every. Yeah, so he does about soundcloud. That's my thought is, is that obviously he'll send out his song different independent labels, and he's had some singles with it like one time releases what some vice, maybe you would offer scooter at work airy on one. She can maybe do to get tension for different a and our contacts or people at labels beyond like social media. I mean, so for me, it's very important. I know into some other ideas. I'm actually real quick before scooting interest is the goal to get signed like, what? What's the, I think the goal is the most important question. Yeah, definitely go. Let me get find. He's a senior at college now and he'd have a friend who's been doing it with them since high school. He's a junior. I know he's working contact you studying abroad and answer Amsterdam he's than working with different ways of their too. Okay. I'm ready to answer buddy. Okay. Yeah. I disagree with your goal and it's it's and it's against against, you know, me being able to sign artists, but I just think it, you know, with this equaliser we call the internet and the fact that you know have Spotify saying, they'll do direct deals with artists. And you know, we have this platform, especially in genre like EDM where albums are very insignificant and it's all about and singles and mostly touring, you know, I don't know why you would wanna get signed. I think you know what you should be doing is focusing on building a fan base, not worrying about getting to an executive and you know, pushing out the music through soundcloud, pushing the music, you know, as far as you possibly can and building up a base building up a proper brand for yourself and let the labels chase you let the ours chase you. You should be chasing them, especially in in a time where it's never been more advantageous to be independent with the resources at your fingertips. I just think you guys are focused on the wrong thing, and that's probably why you haven't found success yet. I think once you. No, I just think once you focus on building the brand properly and just getting to the consumer and getting to the fans, I think you'll start to see success coming your way and not worrying about how do we get the attention of some ANR. There you go. If you build a dot com. I mean, look, these guys are all scared trying to hold on to their jobs and they're not interested in taking risks like they used to. They're just trying to chase the momentum. So the other thing is, I think, once you get the momentum, you won't be calling Gary v or myself back and saying, hey, what deal do we take? You'll be saying, I don't really want to take deal. I like my economics better now on my own. Create that maximum. I wanna paint the picture for you. You literally just called and said, yo, how, what kind of, you know, VHS video store? Should I open up like I wanna build the next blockbuster, literally in the face of Netflix and Hulu, Amazon prime, and the golden era of OTT that is literally no joke, in my opinion, what it's like to be thinking about disproportionately and passionate about getting signed.

"But there is this deep kinship, the fact that you should sleep it off. It isn't seen. Me that basically when the worst business things or life, things that have happened to be outside, which I would deem as shut this off the only way to sleep, but I just go to sleep and the next morning I'm like, let's win. Like like I remember when I lost Texas. There's a business thing. We lost the ability to shift at Texas, which was crippling for wine library, and we were the only company that was picked on by FedEx, not ship the Texas, and it was a lot of it was four million dollars, small business and like literally was like this dangerous shit. I went home at three thirty in the afternoon, went to sleep, woke up the next day and just started shopping would fixed it. And that's the way I kind of picked up on that because it was very subtle the way you said in. So I understand what it's I don't know if let me ask you a question, had you ever been able to sustain being depressed or upset when other, how long? Prior to tomorrow? My grandmother prior to Ma Ma lake there many days being in your own, hey, to me, I've never been able to be in a full twenty four hour cycle of true depressed, like one hundred percent like they kind of goes back and forth when that happened, it went really. Really bad and what was shocking wasn't the depression? What was shocking was he says, he knows you, but because he's never seen you like that. The shocking part was that people didn't know to ask me if I was okay. They didn't know to say they didn't even comprehend the idea that I could be broken. I get it man brother. And and when I admitted that I, I had asked myself, why is that? And that was on me. That's what my wife told me. She's didn't express my fears. I expressed my ability stay didn't know what to look for. They didn't know to be there. And I feel like a lot of people like I was like, well, why? Of course, they should know like I've been so I've been really important moments in these people's lives like I've been there for so many different people, but I realized I never took the time to say because I'm like, you, I'm energy, I'm gonna. I'm this. I fixed it time to go back next thing. You know superman, there, I can hear everything going on. Let's go and omnipresent, and the bottom line is what I had to teach myself, which I'm better at going back to your original. Question is to say, yes, I could do forty more things today, but I'm not. I'm gonna stay right here and I'm gonna get deep with this person and I'm going to engage in a way I normally don't do interesting. I fully understand and that is something that has made me happier because it actually hasn't slowed down any of my success. It hasn't slowed down any of my progress. And what it has done is made me go with more joy into the next day more ready to fight because I feel like I had a genuine moment that day that I didn't even realize I was missing two to three years before because the speed in which you're going, it's a with game, not a depth game. Yeah, man, I super get it. I super understood that you happy with some questions. I'm sure people want to do some questions. Let's look through quick question. We'll keep bouncing because I have some other contemporary. We've gone deep here a little bit, which I appreciate not super interesting. I super get. It's funny. I'm sitting here a lot of the vulnerabilities dial that. I've created in the two companies that I've run wine Libran bainer the vulnerabilities are I created entitlement because I put so much on me. Like I have the same thing. My staff is about to hear this, so they're going to never play ping pong yet. But I've been getting very frustrated. We have a very, we have a ping pong table in the middle of the office, and I keep seeing all the young people like playing ping pong and I'm like with the fit, you know, how are you able to play ping pong if I'm killing myself and you know, I always had this rule where I was like, if if you can't say you work harder than me, you can't complain..

"I think our first inner like a decade ago didn't he try to put together a boy band at some point as well? Well, I tried. I tried to find holes in the marketplace. And what I did was try not a boy band. I put together a group and it your house or they live in my house, ended up. Robbing the apartment complex that I put them in, and it was like, you know, it was like, I tried a couple different things. I put together another group and then they actually went to jail for Bank robbery that I didn't know they were robbing federal banks. Like that's a real thing. I got investigated by the f. b. FBI like it was pretty wild, but did all those experienced take you to like I need like nine year old child way, took me to was someone saying you're trying to sign everything that you think we want instead of what you want. Interesting. And you know this guy Jerry smoke be who at the time was the program director of hot ninety? Seven, Atlanta. You said you're really talented, stop trying to sign everything that you think we want sign what you want, what you think is good and I looked in the marketplace and I said, what's the opening and with Asher, I was like, you know, the time Eminem was the only white rapper. And I said, here's this kid who can really spit, but also isn't trying to be anything. He isn't. And there's a lot of kids who go to hip hop shows who look like him and relate to him. And that's why I did that. And with Justin, I said, who the college so heated heated. And with Justin, you know, I looked at it and I said. One shock who who said you've ludicrous as manager. He said, you're lucky if you get one big star, your whole career. One breakthrough people can live off that forever. So while I'm gonna break to right away, if that's the case and with just and I said, I'm a big Michael Jackson fan and Michael used to sing these Djelic love songs in the Jackson Five and his voice reminded you've in your kid before you were jaded by loan. So you believe in the love story. And when I saw just in, I was like, this is the kid I've been looking for and I found him brought him inside Justin with no bullshit. Like I'm just dying to know. You may not remember, but I'm dying to know this because I don't know how many views was he getting on his sixty thousand about sixty thousand. Yeah, which was at the time a lot, but nothing compared to what it was. It was like, okay, so people are paying attention. But you know, at the time, like, you know, people give a fuck and you if you had a million that million was license breakthrough and it was our twentieth video where we got our first million, but all the videos, we had accumulated up until that suddenly anybody who was did he have that you're able to look at four, four to six and you. Emailed him through YouTube. Why tried? I tried everything but his mama different last name than him and I tried everything. And then I googled the companies in the back of the image and I found out they were part of interior and I called every school board in that part of Ontario until I found him. And then his mom call to get rid of me. She thought I was a stalker. And after forty, five minutes of speaking to me, she agreed to get on the first plane ride, either of them had ever been on and we've been together ever since I love it. It's insane. Okay, cool. So that you that, that's, that's like you're, I mean, that's the nuts as the origin, and then we went on and things went well. And I really focus on that for four years and then someone who I respect it took a shot at me and said, oh, he's good, but he only has that and I got pissed. So I said, okay, well, I'm gonna sign things that I can bring quickly. So I signed, you know, the wanted with glad you came. "If there's an available seat for forty, nine bucks. That's what he did. And I would fly all around the country working building relationships for forty, nine dollars a ticket, and I would throw my parties and then you know, throw parties in Miami and here and I was traveling all around the country on airtran forty, nine dollars. And that gave me an opportunity to get places when you're throwing parties. I'm this is just me now getting fun and excited and curious on the there's only two Delta's on the delta of business and on a delta of like hooking up and having fun. What were you at that point when your business? One hundred hundred. I kind of thought that's what you're going to see. That's why I asked. Yeah, I was a hundred actually fully believed that. Yeah, I was one hundred percent. My my thing was did I have fun was I singled that I meet girls? Yes, but never the ones that my party's the if I was going to meet women. It was on the days where I wasn't throwing parties and I was going out if you were going to my parties, I wasn't working. I was working and I wasn't getting caught up. I didn't even drink. Maybe I'd do a shot here and there, but I was there to make money and run a business, and I had no interest in. Always used to say the guys we're trying to get laid of being a party promoter. They're gonna lose to me because they're too busy too busy focusing on the wrong thing. Right? And we built a massive party business. We were the highest college promotion company in the country revenue is, and we expanded all over the place and then started helping Germain doing all that. And then when I was twenty four at all these ideas about social media because Facebook, aecom, and you know, I, I had all these ideas. Germane wasn't really listening to me on them, and I got great advice for my dad where he said, look, as long as you work for someone else. You can give your ideas, but it's their company. If you wanna go for it, go for it and then little John was, should you just produce? Yeah, rusher he and I were out together and he said, look, I worked for Germain for seven years. As in an are, don't take seven years. He's a great guy, but you gotta go off your own and long story, but I ended up leaving not by choice. Actually. We'll get into that later. Interesting. But it was it was more me wanting to leave and not doing it because I was afraid. And again in the universe corrected that for me how something happened in the office where you know, basically knee injure, Jamaicans mom got into it onto stupid. Yep. And the next day I come in and she had fired me Hanes, like we'll just give it two weeks and I'll fix it. And that was enough for me to be like, this is not the career that I want, and she gave me the out and I gotta go for it, and I started my own management and record label signed a kid off my space named Asha Roth. We had a big record call lost this this weekend. Forty Niners fan. Digging fan. And four months after that, I was online middle of the night looking at little boys saying because that's what that's what how you find success. You go on the internet in the middle of the night and watch little boy seeing don't do that. That's a joke. But you know what's interesting to me and I don't know where I picked this up through our travels through the years, but there was a part of you. You know, it's funny and I think of Troy cartons that nature. Like I'm so fat like there was definitely a part of you that was strategic of like, you know, the hip hop industry has a lot of Boehner abilities on the talent and just a million different things and just raw numbers of how many album sell like you weren't just doing that for kicks giggles. This is somebody that I have enormous manner admiration to. We're going to go into it. We're going to do phone calls because I think a lot of people want access. Then this dude he's Allen about, but getting access to him is very difficult because he's busy. So we're going to do phone calls, Facebook, putting your phone numbers and e is here and he's going to pick some calls. We'll do that reports the we're live. I'll show I would like put this my social media. I'm doing this. You can do whatever the fuck you on. Good. I miss up guys. Good. We, unlike normal things that you do, we have enough social media power to get you exposure. Usually people are asking you because you have so much power, but you can, but that's not what we need to do. What we need to do is get some phone numbers from Facebook for the show scooter. Braun is in the building this, you know, I have. I have contemporaries. People that are ten years younger and older. I would say in the way that I use contemporaries that I really admire scooters really genuinely one of those five or six people at the top of the list, not only for his ridiculousness in accomplishing things that I admire, which is business Kama culture, comma, the most important part, just a good human being. We've had a, we had a pretty fun tax exchange, maybe three or four months ago just on that of like rooting for you. Rooting for your like not a lot of people with the kind of parenting and DNA that we have families. There's so much that can go into his brother is one of my dear friends. I, I sit on the board of pencils of promise and been above. That. But when we met for the first time ever eight or nine years ago, we're waiting outside of. Nobu in mid town. They're not ready to see us. We're just meeting my brother AJ's there, which is rare for me to bring my brother to a meeting back in a day, but the reason was scooter and his brother were there were just getting to know each other. We'd kind of be putting touch by or somebody else were just getting to each other. The first thing we get into in thirty seconds is our deep love within your jets and with nineteen seconds of that, Mark Sanchez are starting quarterback walks by us, none of, but neither of us gnome at the time and we're like, did that just happen? Then we get seated next them it because this whole classic story and thus become a great friendship and watching what you know at that point you were managing Justin. So you kind of quote unquote made it into the consciousness, but nowhere to the mogul impact you're making. Now I'm really glad you're here. Scooter. Thanks for things buddy. Yeah, mutual. So thanks. I've watched you do these from distance and we've joked around about the actually coming here and finding the time. And you know, I'm excited for this one because I don't think. I'll ever yell back and forth on a pot. The way we're probably about to go to your point. We've been talking about doing this for quite a while, you know, scooters. Cool. And what that means is that he face times not calls or texts, right? He's in the culture which also like to FaceTime people to make them feel uncomfortable, a hundred percents like you have to. "I really helped put that brand on the map and they were super supportive. Gave me a platform, and then I linked up with Eugene ram who nightlife impresario ten June owns catch restaurants, which is literally the hottest restaurant coz the coast west and in New York. And he asked me if I wanted to start something. Washed all these videos of me, boxing that I posted on Instagram because I was getting really into boxing again, and we, we started coming up at the concepts and you know, fast forward a year and a half. We opened up one nine one, seven rumble boxing's the hottest brand in and outside of fitness in the country. We have four locations already. Although the upper east side has double city, so it's really five. We just announced our second concept where we're going to do treadmills and weights as well. So not boxing, but treadmills and weights. Rumbled treading, we already have our location. We're already doing design. We just announced our partnership with scooter Braun. Atlanta. Oh, that's right. The marines when he was. It isn't saying I used to party with a bunch of these. My that was went to Emory. She's my friend scooter, throw these parties like I met him in a house party where like drinking, probably burnett's vodka. You know, like looking back, I'm like, it's so great. Schlager gold schlager and yeah, but. Tax. He doesn't remember all our origin stories. Everybody in those are my favorite like x men, wolverine origin stories like those are my favorite because you get to know like everybody thinks it just happens, like scooters scooter, like rumble just happened. But this was like this was like twenty years in the making. I share overnight sensation twenty years in the making. They always say that they don't see the darkness before this before you see all the lights on instrumental of the fun stuff all the time. Like, how did you get to? There's no quick fix. There's no recipe, like I failed at a million things. I succeeded at some random things. I met this person like there's no can't explain to you how get here, but anyway, this is dating podcast. What do you wanna talk about? I'm I'm curious. There's a lot of people in New York that are trying to build businesses and hustle and traveling lot. It's like, how do you make time to date? Yeah. So how do you make time today. Like, are you on hold? Are you like kind of very fascinated me? Because I think a lot of men like, no, this is my baby right now. Like, I can't. I gotta stay focused. Can you right now? Like I certainly don't think that I have the time energy to settle down because a relationship is incredibly time consuming. It's important to respect the other person enough to delegate enough energy to delegate enough attention and focus to them. And I physically just don't have it. So I feel like I can't properly dedicate the time necessary to foster a relationship, and that's not fair to somebody else. She feel like, have you dated somebody? I can't do this. I mean, listen, yeah. Like my last relationship I love. I still love go to death like that's like my heart, but it's incredibly unfair for me to not be fully present. And I again, it's a time thing like you got like I have a dog who I love to death, got him tattooed on my arm. He is a cute, never even seen a dog that looks like that he is so special. The Brad Pitt of dogs became like, I tell that story too. Oh, how I call my daughter and Gosling of dog just profile..
