Yeah okay. what is today's show. We've acuity show and we haven't done one in a while. We've got a bunch of questions. Both i mean it's largely going to be about college football and the upcoming twenty twenty one season and maybe a couple of big picture questions but also some non college football questions because we scratch all of our riches tie not the easiest ones but all of them. Let's get in to it. Congratulations skippy. you've got mail. You've got mail on the solid verbal. Dan as often as we can. We like to pay. No ma is oh to those view ver- ballers out there who write in solvable gmail.com. We also solicit a question across every possible platform. Beit facebook twitter. Instagram read it plain old fashioned email. Certainly we tapped into our verbal our community out there on patriot and noon our discord server so a bunch of different ways. That folks could get in touch with us with their questions. I'm going to start with will dan. that's will with one. l one l. is that true. That's just one l. here on the sheep okay. Which team does in twenty twenty one do you think will look better than they actually are due to an easy schedule. And then conversely which teams fall into the opposite category i e. They're going to look worse than they are. Because of a harder schedule so look we started to do some of our preseason research. We're going to be announcing at some point soon not to give too much away when we're going to start doing our previews because college football season now that we're in july it's getting a little bit bigger in the window. So we started any canal to the mix not added danny compel ta sorry. He costs too much. We couldn't afford it. I know it's true. We started doing research. We started looking at teams. Have you started looking at schedules. I have especially in a couple of conferences that we're doing early on and it's always fascinating to see like well. This team isn't that good but could ain't they could win nine. They returned enough that they were only so so. But it's a schedule that really gives them a chance to sort of push up against their ceiling. So yeah. I haven't looking at schedules. I have been looking at. You know better than their schedule would have you believe or better than you would believe based on their record based on a really tough schedule. I mean we've talked about clemson with this that maybe their record will be better than their reality. Although i love the ceiling of where they are at quarterback receiver and upfront on defense. It's just after georgia. It's a whole lot of maybe okay. That's one of those teams for sure. Arkansas arkansas to salmon. What a brutality brutal schedule so we. We already talked about arkansas. Getting texas in the non conference. They've also got georgia as one of there. Cross conference inter divisional matchups. I believe they also have bama and lsu on the road which right out of the chute. That's that's four losses as a starting point. I think. I guess. I mean your your texas love is now documented but continue so arkansas is one of those teams that i think falls into the category of having a really hard schedule. I know phil steele from looking at the magazine at somewhere in the studio for those watching on the video feed nas. He's pretty high on kentucky. Finishing third in the sec east and that is due in no small part to its schedule eighty fourth schedule mile in fps. So you know. They get a game against louisville on the room but for the most part they're non conference schedule outside of louisville. They've got they've got new mexico state the he has everything right. The the easiest and toughest schedules each conference correct cuts all laid out through it. Yeah well don't have magazine in front of me. I i have a rare look easiest schedule in the big twelve oklahoma. They've got nebraska. That's the big heavyweight in the early portion of their schedule the toughest is kansas. Well i think kansas no matter what their schedule look like short of it being a like a maniac schedule a you know a big sky schedule or something like that. That was going to be a tough road anyway. Near one of new coach with all the turnover they have the arizona. Schools are on either end of the spectrum. Arizona state with a pre. Byu but it's byu with new offensive coordinator and a new quarterback. Did i end i. I don't have the big ten in front of me. But i feel i was north eastern northwestern purdue easiest hardest. Yeah so that's the arkansas. One is really unfortunate for san pittman. And i think it will probably serve to detract a bit from the progress that they made last year. It did make progress last year. Sure it's just an impossible schedule that he's going to have to deal with The north western one is interesting to me as well because northwestern again slow but steady always finds a way to be in the mix and with the benefit of a good schedule they could again contend for that big ten west. I just think they're a good program. They did have catastrophically bad offense. Two years ago and last year it improved to simply definitely bad but yeah they they can navigate. Who who's in that. They have what who they have. Anybody of note in there have duke. Yeah who is sort of dramatically changing things up on offense and moving onto a new starting quarterback and loses a few big pieces front on that defense so northwestern's in a really good spot to to once again contend for the west will by the way is a verb baller f y for baller on our ninety trian for ballers dot com okay. Let's go to potty devil pun devil also minded ver- baller baller dot com. Yes what is your favorite mascot name. I'm saying what is your favorite mascot named like their actual first name. Okay so like not necessarily the falcon or the buffalo. The green wave is a popular one million wave. I don't want to say like you know. The whatever at the stanford tree. Although i don't know if the tree is named like edgar or something like that right the great i i can't imagine is just a tree that that's a very stanford thing to do. If there is a name for it. I have never heard it. It's always just been referred to as the tree. What would be a good name for the tree. If that tree is simply not named in the tree now you have to remember dances. Around and wacky ways it has whacky googly eyes so it needs a name befitting of its presence. If you named it conifer it sounds a little bit like lucifer which gives stanford more of an edge than you'd expect and it's all it sounds like with the true. Yeah yeah that. Also it sounds like an arrested development parks and rec kind of combination. Nonexistent name conifer. But i don't believe it's a conifer tree. I don't know so regardless. That's the first thing that came to mind. I guess it would have to be a conifer tree right. In order to be named conifer the i something like a i actually had lot edgar edgar covers the spectrum for may of either very serious or very silly maybe a walter maybe a maybe a leslie not a lot of tree names out there to be honest with you. I don't know if it's douglas fir but if it were it would be doug as easy. Wbz's doug would be my favorite actual name for a mascot. It tied to me. I love the name. Ramsey's ooh the the the you know the the long horn sheep. Whatever kind of tar heel mascot zone on cici's wise and ralphie obviously ralphie's wonderful name ralphie is up there for me. I have a soft spot. For bucky badger monkey injure. But he'd be edger. Okay i just think that is the coolest mascot to look at outside of all the last one name though. Like do you like vivo. I like people beatles fine. But i'm gonna say in general for me outside of the live mascots The very clearly fake bigheaded mascots for me. Bucky badgers the coolest one. And i just love the name bucky badger. So that's always been the answer for me. I like the the sort of creativity of naming georgia's bulldog aga after. Uga right scott espin quality to it right. It's kind of controversial among oregon fans but technically speaking. It's just the duck very boring. But i believe it was. When oregon had a live duck mascot the ducks name was puddles and that has carried over. And i think that's adorable. And i'm if people want to call the daca puddles thrilled to go along with that. So that's my astros care. Let's go to joseph also another baller. Okay assemble your dream. College football saturday not related to your own team in any way. And he Highlights a few possibilities here can be unique. A unique college football venue or college town. A question on this is coming up here also Maybe by joseph the same joseph. I don't know but this is a great question that i'm going to ask next. Hold that mind also could pertain to matchup tailgating food. A celebrity fan to watch the game with dan. You have been this. It's no secret in this show. You have been too many more college football venues than me. So what the benefit of that experience. What does your dream college football. Saturday not related to oregon now right. What does that look like for. So i cannot shoot okay. So of the the locales both in terms of town city and tailgate and atmosphere of a game. I mean i do have favorites. I loved going to to baton rouge and seeing a game at death valley silas you south carolina which was not a marquee match up but it was insanely fun time nonetheless now baton rouge as a town. I think it's a perfectly good town. Does it stand out in college towns to me. Not necessarily but you do have the new orleans ability right. So there's that element but that's not the college town. God i it'd be hard to turn away madison at this point for me because i like the food. I like the town. I like the atmosphere of the game. It's there's electricity there that i that i do love but if i had to put everything together man i don't know Up and down the soda. The the list of places i've been like i. I love ann arbor but like the michigan in game experience. I don't know. I'm just that that that's where it falls off a little bit for me. What about you. Well you love athens. I do of athens. Not gonna go athens with this. Because the but the best i can do here is tell you the elements of college football that i am intrigued by and have yet to experience so for example. I'm very intrigued by some sort of pregame tailgating experience that involves boats veterans tennessee washington standout. And i've done both. Yeah tennessee and washington standout. So you tell you could tell me which one's better. But i am intrigued. By that. first and foremost. I ate better before a washington game. The the local seafood people were grilling up fish. Megan fish tacos. And i think there was some sort of oyster situation. That was great. That was legitimately a great eating experience for me. Outside of i think it was a washington oregon game two thousand seven so that was wonderful. So i would recommend that but the tennessee vol navy. Great too and that is a new stadium is an overwhelming stadium experience now. Are you going to get that electricity for current ish tennessee matching up in a big game. I don't know. I don't know so that's sort of takes away something about it but i think if if washington lives up to their hype and ceiling this season as a top. Fifteen ish team. I think you have a really good time. It's allowed stadium. I don't know if you've spent time in seattle. Have you now now. I'm not a college town portland. Urban the slight seattle's great. You can eat well. You can explore. There's different neighborhoods. It's on the water. You wanna go. There's like different islands. you can visit. You can see orcas certain parts of the year to me. That's that's a big positive college. Orca options options all right. So let's say washington just by the boat thing to me is interesting as a tailgating exercise in terms of which i would love to tailgate macaca booths at south carolina. Columbia's crazy attractive to me. Let me move on to matchup. I'd say pretty much any big time. Rivalry so gimme. Ohio state michigan I mean that's the rivalry to end all rivalries in college sports sports in general i. It's fine so if i'm picking. I'll just pick a rivalry. I don't really have a proclivity towards any one. Particular matchup tailgating food getting foods. Interesting to me. it's interesting to me. Maybe not as interesting to me as you. You're the foodi of the group but no but you're interested in food. I am intrigued by having tacos outside of college football game and never done that. At penn state game notre dame game to be perfectly honest with these great tailgate food. Hand-held can grill also anyone who does po boys so maybe that drives me more towards the south. Southwest tailgate food though. Maybe i'm wrong on that. Just throwing a when i went to baton rouge and i've been to into a lot of plays in the sec baton rouge which would assume louisiana's most associated with paul boys and new orleans and everything it was much more giant pots of different stews and different options. In terms of you know yeah right dumping out well. It's more shrimp to me. I don't know. I dunno of crawfish is fully and season in a. I don't believe it is but yeah. That's what i associated big pots cauldron type situations and it was frigging amazing. You i think your answer should be. Lsu bam alessio miss something like that in death valley and then the final one. Here's celebrity fan to watch a game with me. Directions here right. We're biased towards mcconnell. Hey he was on the show. I don't know what it walk us through. He walked us through his ideal texas football weekend. He did we asked him specifically about that. And so for my money. He came on the show outside of lex steel. And i'm trying to think what other celebrities we've had on the show right on. Hey was clearly the most famous person that we've had on the show so for me. It's got to be ralph rousseau. We have had ralph on. Okay so don't don't just say makaay without fully considering the breadth of options stu mandel. We've had stu onto yeah. I don't have a celebrity. be fun that'd be ridiculous. Let's say the big twelve tie. Chris wants no big picture thoughts on kansas state heading into the season and i think he went on to ask about the possible hot seat for chris climbing. I'm gonna say no definitely going to say no to that. Because i do think the early returns are promising. Not his fault that will howard had to step in last year. And you know the the records indicated the fall off at quarterback between he and schuyler thomson my big picture thoughts on k. State is. They need to get the defense in order. They brought in some promising transfers. We hope schuyler thompsons healthy and if schuyler thompson and that offense are able to look like they did at times together we should see a ridiculously entertaining and productive deuce von now what develops around do sfantu you know. Take away some of that gravity. I don't know if it's me. I don't know who it is. Who had kind of a disappointing year last year. That's what i'm curious about on offense. The schedule is i believe. And i had it in front of me earlier. It's really tough early on in. Especially in terms of quarterbacks consecutively it was like you know brock purdy and spent a rattler spencer sanders if he reaches his potential. Like a bunch of those guys early on and in the back. Half is pretty nice in terms of quarterback match up. So i i would say. Eight wins is relatively realistic. Going to return to the road. Not regress but progress to the to the mean in terms of injury luck know it was. It was had an unfortunate twenty twenty k. State in terms of all of the like numbers issues. They had because because of health and safety protocols and schuyler thompson so i think they're going to return to where they should be in terms of availability and just luck. So yeah i see them as an eight and four program or eight. Wins is totally doable to schedule. The other thing about k. State schedule is that they open with stanford neutral psyching body clock game. Right like at eleven. Am local kick. Yeah yup yup eleven. Am we'll kick played in arlington and we have been pretty public. You have been way more public than i have about your stanford disdain. Maybe visas day but you're not estate harsh. Yeah you're not a stanford fan. You're not a fan of this iteration stanford football. Let's say going to to the twenty twenty one season. That's that's an interesting match for k. state stanford got some acclaim. you beat stanford out of the shoot. It puts k. State more in the conversation right off the off. The bat do very winnable games after that against southern illinois in nevada. Maybe did beat. North dakota state in february's i they beat north dakota state but also southern illinois has that that dna in them they have the antibodies. Tie dakota state. I get by up possibly off to a three and now start before you get to the real teeth of that schedule. Which is oklahoma state oklahoma. A bye week and then iowa state so he will get the schedule you could. You could find eight wins here. So i think i think i'm with you. They had the number one rated all things you know being great for k. State in terms of numbers and their bad luck last year. I think i saw that. Their defensive line was the number one havoc filled line. Yeah in college football last year. Obviously in large part to y ou be who is no longer there. He's i think he was drafted by the bengals so production to be replaced for sure but yeah i think they have a nice bounce back year because even when will howard was struggling at times they were in. I think it was the baylor and oklahoma state games so they had a shot at games even though they finished pretty unexceptional last year already dan. Let's go to. Let's go to bert. All the way at the bottom of the doc. What is tcu a dark horse big twelve contender floors yours. No they're not. Oh man can you carve out a path for me. Can i carve out a path. I can pull up their schedule and we can try to carve out a path. I cannot in in good faith. Sit here before the baller hood And come up with any scenario. In which oklahoma does not win the big twelve oklahoma loaded. Really they are loaded this year. They have the best offensive line in college football. Maybe the best quarterback in college football you think. So i guess i mean and the transfer situations nice for them. Ohio states tackles but they've got so much coming back their defense presumably should be just a little bit better and like i've said time and again with oklahoma. The defense does not need to be alabama. The defense needs to be marginally better. Marginally better mars reiner just a little bit better. They improved really impressively last year. It they can just continue to take some steps forward. I feel like they're in a really good spot. What i don't question wasn't about oklahoma. I get that what i what i don't like about. Tcu trying to carve this path is tc's problem over. The last two years. Now has been inconsistency now. I like backstage. Max dougan but there has to be consistency around him. There has to be consistency with him as well. But the offense to me has really let me down. The defense in spots has really let me down. I just don't feel like i'm getting a level of consistency with tcu. That i can really rely on so the schedule on its face. The schedule does not look like it is a murders row by any stretch. They played duquesne cow in the nine conference. Right and the other games that they've got here are spread out pretty well. They've got texas and they've got oklahoma but in between the two they've got a road tilt against texas tech nicer buffer then they've got k. State which that games on the road. But there's a buffer against west. Virginia in between then they've got bail west. Virginia's a buffer. That's disrespectful then. They've got baylor who. I don't think any of us is all that high on but baylor before they go on the road again against oklahoma state. You know. I'm a grimy guy. And then kansas before they close out the year on the road at iowa state so they've got adequate buffer in between those big games which is nice for them but they've got a road game against iowa state road game against oklahoma state ero- game against kansas state a road game against oklahoma. And that's pretty tough. It's pretty tough to emerge unscathed from all those big time road games so for my money. Nobody's asking them for that. But the were saying dark horse. Candidates darkhorse means what they mean. They're winning toss up games. There is a unit or two. That's much better than expected or they have incredible injury lock and other teams. Don't so we're we're talking about things need to happen. This needs to be calling a rube goldberg machine. Big twelve. it's one one team. Something catastrophic happens to them and that begets something else weirdly to another team. Like if all of the quarterbacks in the room at big twelve media days if suddenly the like a bunch of spiders crawl out of the wall in sting every quarterback other than max dougan right. We're having a conversation in less radioactive. And they have spiderman powers. So i i think things there needs to be some sort of weird path for tcu that they keep getting teams with backup quarterback so they keep like a l. weather talking about here. We're talking about real true universal weirdness that affects everybody but tcu answers. No the answer is no if it's not oklahoma iowa state if it's not texas if it's not oklahoma state right. It's not happening. It's not happening. So i liked. Tcu i always kind of i get to this stage in mid july every year and i start looking at tcu with that twinkle in my eye. Bert still have the tweet call. I still have it. I always come back to. Tcu no matter how much. I don't want to and i like him. I really do not this much. There's gotta be a limit to it that this is my limit. There has to be some sort of pop in the passing game to open things up for the run game. They're just has to be there has to be somebody on the outside. And maybe we are. Maybe a name is just not popping into our heads right now but that passing game needs to improve from bad to above average which is a tough ask with the same quarterback and no especially talented receiver transferring in or offensive line. There needs to be some indicator right now to us feel optimistic but i think look you look at their schedule last year and they won what their final three games i mean they transfer louisiana tech whatever but beating state is something beating oklahoma state the way that they did. It's just i remember the max. Doug pass west. Virginia i was just like how can i have faith in a team who passes like that and i think he uses through like an awful awful misfire on a wide wide open player in the end zone for eleven yards out so right i think they they can win the the lose -able games they win. Some more tossup games it was close against. I'm looking at their schedule. Last you know they lost the case. State the lost iowa state early. And i don't know it's one of those teams that can bounce back but personally i. I'd like to see more personnel. Being a reason why rocco says what is more likely to happen just in the food and getting fired after going for an eight or leaving for oklahoma state after flipping his way into a nine win season. Just think that the former virginia tech four eight explain their schedules not terrible. So there's good reason to believe that you know they won't go foreign aid but at the same time man i think. Braxton burmeister is okay by this was supposed to be just in flint days strength pushing the ball downfield and interesting difficult. Pass game to defend like he had at memphis and they haven't found quarterbacks they haven't found receivers they haven't developed a system to consistently get that and it looked like in hooker. Was that quarterback for stretches and now he's gone clear harbor. Was the guy responsible for adding the pop to that offense last year and really nice offensive line last year. i just. It's hard to see now. Their schedules splits are nice right. I don't have it in front of me. But i remember looking at it when we were research when i was researching the acc and they open with north carolina. Which i guess. We'll a lot more about virginia tech after that game. But i think after that their home for a while and they don't play clemson they have notre dame at home. I just. I don't know. Virginia tech's identity is so that's the planes like that. That's the problem with an identity free team with a team that you know they won game. They were supposed to win. And we're all that competitive and other games and not having a quarterback. I feel great about as as nice as the scheduled. Kind of appears early. I i see foreign eight more so than nine three. The braxton burmeister thing is troubling to me he he completed some nice passes but i think i watched some of him and the virginia tech offense late in the year last year. Like i watched the virginia game and he hits guys if they're specifically schemed. Open like if there's like a tight end delay like the tight. End the defensive end than like leaks out late and his wide open. Braxton burmeister recognizes that hits him like a wheel route. That develops that. There's you know crazy mismatch. That's pated great but in terms of finding those one on one guys and or going through progressions and pushing the ball downfield. I don't think. Virginia tech's getting that from the passing game this fall. I just don't yeah. I mean he was hurt on and off throughout the course of the year Last season last season was weird full acknowledgement but it was was up and down for him last year. Hennion hooker went to tennessee. Be transferred So with braxton burmeister now is like the top guy. i just don't feel great about that first off he's been around forever forever at this point and it feels like if there were going to be any kind of notable improvement. We would've seen it by now. Just haven't right now there's an identity crisis and what exactly what are they. What are they. I mean there was an identity crisis last year. They lost their quarterback. I dunno there. Were there were promising moments and you win. You win you rivalry game to end the season. Things aren't fully terrible but we're babcock. The had to cali press conference to clarify that. Justin day was not being fired. Yeah that's not a it's not a great moment. go into an office on georgia. Yes or no. Catherine wants to know via instagram. Yes yes worse. Yes i think so i. I'm a little bit worried about. Jt daniels health just because he's a little bit snake bit and i don't know if it's a j. daniels thing or a universe thing that that concerns me but there's there's so much depth all over the field upfront on defense you know. Receiver should be good. I know they lost a mattress. Robertson and george pickens got hurt but they should be in a pretty good player. They'll be and and look there. They are in your comment about j. Daniel south is fine. Yeah and totally fair. They're in a good spot though that at least they have returning quarterback and i know it's not gonna affect clemson and alabama and ohio state the way it would affect ninety nine percent of the other programs around the country. It's still is advantageous to bring back. A quarterback who towards the end of the season was really finding is finding astrid. So i like that about always like jt daniels. I liked him at usc. The little bit we solve them. I loved him coming over to georgia. I love the fact that they might try to incorporate more of vertical passing game. They wanted to at the start of last year but daniels wasn't healthy so now hopefully with a full off season hopefully they can start to see some of that from an offensive standpoint. I'm really bullish on georgia. I am every year. But i am especially this year. Their schedule rules by the way. I just looked it up. It's phenomenal greats like jim. Rome say phenomenal nominal. Nominal nominal clemson. Yeah that's going to be difficult but away from athens. Otherwise you know. You're always going to have the jacksonville. Matchup against florida but new florida quarterback and the road games at auburn new coach at vandy new coach at tennessee new coach at georgia tech trying desperately trying to break through to become a bowl team. So i say georgia yes. I love their lines. I mean there's a lot love now. The question is can they generate a complete. Four quarters can generate an offense. Can they figure out the firepower. Can they figure out a game. Plan to beat alabama ever on a neutral field away at home wherever. I don't know that's the bar. That's the bar right now. They had a great team are really good team and ran into lightning in a bottle. Lsu at this point they have the most promising quarterback known quantity quarterback in the conference. Yes yeah for sure. I mean we don't know what brice young is gonna look like we don't know what. Lsu's ceiling is. We don't know what am is going to look like a quarterback. We don't know a lot of things about quarterback but the position georgia's in right now year two of the monk in era depending on the health at receiver in fantastic place. And we'll know early and whatever the clemson game brings about is whatever it's still one on a neutral field so they have plenty of time to recover or regress. But i mean this feels like another really terrific opportunity for kirby smart to To take a next step all right the real quick before we go on just off the top of your head start naming words that come to mind when i say. Let's go on over to amateur photographer. wasn't really sure how to qualify this person. I didn't understand his or her screen name. So this is where we are. What will be the most. There will be the more competitive game iowa. Indiana at or miami against bama the more competitive games indiana iowa or miami versus obama. I believe i believe if memory serves that the early line on that miami bama game with seventeen and a half points in favor of alabama. So unless this respondent has a different definition of competitive the answer would have to be indiana at iowa right. I guess. I mean the low of both indiana. The low points of both actually three of these teams have had low points in the last year in the end is low point. Offensively is worrisome. Now granted that was both with and without michael panics. But depending on health on indiana's offense i you know i could see a situation which indiana loses that game. Seventeen to three and almost no part of that game is entertaining or competitive. I really like indiana just holistically as a program right now so. I don't necessarily see that happening. Miami is probably a higher floor than indiana and iowa. We'll see though. Because i just i worry more about where indiana and i were at quarterback wise. There's a lot. I really do like about iowa. And you know they've they've taken strides to become more creative on offense. But i don't know if i feel phenomenal off about spencer petrous petrus petri pet trusts. So that concerns me. i. I'd say track record. Wise i think indian. I was going to be more competitive just because i don't see either one of those offenses running away where alabama ceiling with that line with that stable of back so much another so madama sin crop of receivers and bryce young. Yeah it's probably alabama miami right now but that being said from an entertainment standpoint from a tv product standpoint. the answer is miami and alabama. Yeah that's the more entertaining match up. Yeah but may not be as could be blow. William in all likelihood will be over by sort of third quarter. And we're still talking about a miami team that really disappeared offensively for stretches last year despite having dare king the miami team that lost by forty that just completely ran out of gas now this week one but they lost by fortyish against north carolina. And so you know they lose some talented defensive lineman but there guys back on that defense at a really impressive and we solved air king. We sell my carly. There's their pieces to really like but man to do it for four quarters against alabama week one alabama has this sort of even though they're winning national championships. They also come out of the gate pretty strong in these games. So yeah that's just the reality i hope. Dr king really like flashes e wise that he has fully recovered in recuperated. Let's go back to this question that i teased. Joseph okay. what are some unorthodox venues. We could play football games at perhaps with cool backdrops not even stadiums just venues where he can put a makeshift field. Like they did in tahoe. The rink i'm thinking mall with the monuments or a coroner pressler with tennessee. Bureau sack out west. The mountains could also be amazing. Danny thoughts on this salt flats where they try to go really fast cars. I guess that's not grass though. I mean you have horse racing venues churchill downs. I don't know how why the infield is baseball stadiums. Never really do it for me. Especially after seeing when they tried to play what was it illinois northwestern wrigley and how close the end zone was wall. Yeah yeah those always scare me a little bit. The international ones where. They play in soccer or football stadiums. They're fine you know. They've played what in australia. They've played in ireland right. Let's don't do it for me. In terms of non traditional venues played they played some. nfl games. And i want to say it was the giants against the dolphins at wembley and this is one of the early games where they didn't switch out the turf and guys were out there pretty much on skates. Try trying to run around on the turf and just tearing it to shreds. That was kinda interesting now from an injury standpoint. But i i was trying to look at this from the standpoint of like where's a really cool plateau somewhere in the world like can you do this. Can we do this somewhere. In south america in the andes on a plateau where we have a cool backdrop. Maybe not the best stadium. Uh the grand canyon set up a field make field. They will feel into the university of phoenix stadium. Or whatever that's called now right lyndale so green drive that field to arraign came to be cool grand canyon adjacent what about they have that glass overhang somewhere at the grand canyon. Don't they yeah. It's i'm not okay with that where you can kind of see through the bottom. Like that'll be cool is one of the end. What about pebble beach. I thought perry pine well. Yeah i don't know if you have enough flat territory. That could just build a field right now. You have to do some grading but in terms of like beachside cliffs oceanside cliffs. Pebble would be cool for something like that. It's already an iconic venue. So if you could do something along the cliffs there that'll be pretty damn cool like i'm trying to think if there's any desert you know to have like the desert scape with the palm trees something like that. I don't know if there's a you palm springs or vegas or something like that A weird question that kind of specific venue. I mean national. There's a bunch of national parks of be interesting but it's you know plenty gaming yosemite or something. I don't know the feasability. Yeah buzzfeed terms of venues like were people already gather right. So big wide open grassy Like a game in central park right. That's something yeah no older. Yeah yeah. I don't know what you do for stands makeshift stands but like you need wide open grass. That's it. I don't know what a weird question all right. Let's get test. We got a couple of minutes left here. Let's let's get to some of our non college football questions. What's the best way to eat on a road trip from luke of her baller. Do you pack sandwiches. Do you take long breaks for sit down. Restaurants do embrace fast food. What do you do. I think it depends where you are. Think it depends who you're with. I it depends how hungry you are. I would definitely make an effort to try as much regional food as possible so whether that sit down. Whether it's you know burger shacks. I think the shack experience. Like if i were to go on a road trip and i was. I wasn't in a rush. I think i would look up. Where the like local iconic burger shack burrito or taco shell. Yeah something like that where you're eating outside something that's been there since like nineteen sixty three. I snack food. Doesn't do it as much for me. I'm happy to go grocery shopping before you leave and load up on what you want. But i think i would make an effort to research the road food places along the way. I don't care about eating really well care about going to steakhouses. But like if i'm driving up the coast somewhere in new england or the west coast are in the gulf or something like that and like oh man you need to go to this. Like fried clam shack okay. I'm going to do that. I i am steering into the the shack lifestyle on trip in terms of food steering into the shack. Last style may also searing into the immediacy the urgency the emergency of potential bathroom break on the road. Because you just don't know what you're going to get right. The only thing is though if you go greasy as a priority. You're gonna slow down your road trip. You're going to have some issues. You may have some issues. And so for that reason and that reason only and no problem with regional food but there is something cool about the low rent nature of like. Let's stop at wa wa. Let's get a couple hoagies. let's load up. The cooler with some ice packs will stop at some place along the side of the road. One of the stops. What have you pop. Open the cooler. Eat our hoagies and we'll continue on. It's a lot quicker those cases it's a lot cheaper. It's definitely not as exciting but my only point areas a pretty quick though quick quick for to be waiting for a long time for a burger fries or something in the middle of like who knows where route sixty six or something. I'll of course. Not but my only point is if you're into the regional food thing The regional food once you get to your destination because you're not on the open road then you don't have to worry about the whole bathroom thing. Sure like just get to a place where you're okay. I'm good. I'm gonna sleep tonight. I've got accommodations nearby. That's when you take the food. What is your most common minimum three hour drive like when you go to the jersey shore. What is that drive for you in the last decade or something. Yeah i mean it's it's two two and a half okay. So do you have places that you love stopping that. You don't normally get to go because it's only on that route not really no. I mean if. I'm if i'm looking at where i've gone about three hours away. I'd say the jersey shores about two two and a half i've gone down like ocean city maryland rehoboth delaware. That's about three three and a half baltimore is about three ish from here. Don't have any sort of food traditions on any of those. Not really about three penn. State's two and a half. That's going to different different direction. So no i don't. I don't really have any food. Will you shop before will you like will you get that wa wa sub. Is that just as there are food that you look forward to like. I'm on the road. This is what i'm going to have on my person. It's all it's it's always got to be some sort hoagie for sure. Okay so you're will you eat it as you drive or just during a pit stop pitstop. Yeah okay yeah hot or cold hoagie. Go either way. I just i like it toasted. I don't care if it's cold and toast the bread. If you let it go too long it could no. It's fair. But i prefer to have the whole and the ad they give you the option of. Wow if you want the whole sandwich toasted after they after they build the sandwich right or just the bread. I always go because it melts. The cheese really gives you a different experience. The original tie the the guy mike. I hosted my college radio show with. He is from boise and then we would drive home. Which was eight or nine hours from eugene because there are two different ways one of which you go through portland one of which is more direct but you gotta go through mounds or something. He and his dad would get like whatever the like catering. Kfc size pack of popcorn. Chicken was they had a dipping station on the console. The dashboard whatever area of it was an older corridor. Something like that and they found a way to really secure. I think it was at least at the time the popcorn chicken i think it was. Kfc maybe it was somebody else. Some sort of fast food place to secure the giant would come in like one of those movie popcorn basket type situations and that they would just go to town on like a one hundred and eighty piece chicken container which i think is a great road food if you can secure an have the coordination to dip as you drive. Yeah no it's a good one. Assigning i mean any any any related field of fried chicken nuggets. Ten does whatever i think lends itself pretty well. So this is like that. Answer underrated question from luke. Thank you very much Anything else that stands out to you. I mean we have a bunch of other college football question dump it jump in. Jerry wants to know what the sec going. Espn abc soon. What is the next move for. Cbs to after the big ten rights they after big ten rights. Do they have a relationship with the they do have a relationship. My english is off today with the big ten basketball. I don't know it seems like the pac. Twelve is probably the move in terms of eventually available and needing more exposure i e network television and not that super duper duper duper duper heart. Define premium cable so akwa could be that move. Nbc could expand. Its offerings but nbc. Sports is sort of with the. They dissolve the sports network. Nbc sports network. no longer exists. So they're not an hockey has gone back to. Espn i believe so what. Nbc's investment is like and more broadly speaking in sports but cbs is still brand. That's that's pretty heavily associated with college football so maybe the pac twelve is the move there. I mean the big ten i mean. They just signed that new deal a few years ago when that actually comes up but that is a premium premium premium price tag because fox badly wanted to get into college football more than they were and they ponied up and there. Obviously you see like the big noon saturday. And they're putting their those huge huge big ten games at noon. So cbs going to have to pony up. The pac twelve might be a deal. Maybe you buy in early thinking okay. Whoever usc maybe hires after clay helton and you have mario cristobal and oregon rolling the way that they have. Maybe you think jimmy lake is going to be really good. And maybe you think david shaw is going to bounce back and herm edwards is going to survive or asu was building up a monster. So maybe it's a by early. And cbs gets a deal in the same way. They had to deal with the sec. For quite some time. This mean that nessler and gary danielson are gonna have to call like you see la football. It's a good question. I don't know is that. Is that where we're headed with this. I assume i think it was established. That joe test is going to become the voice of the sec. The week at espn abc's what is danielson. Gonna do if he can't go full. Sec collect a paycheck. go to pass the s. I guess you could do. But i don't think any of these guys have like super duper long-term deals so they can hop somewhere else. All right where else you wanna go go ahead. You pick the best twenty twenty one group of five team teenage which i really hope is a reference to being named j. Who is that team. I mean to me. Yeah but here's what. I noticed about the group of five this year. A really really deep roster of impressive quarterbacks group of five teams. I don't know if you've paid that much attention to group of five quarterbacks obviously desmond ritter is is riveting. Nfl attention and leading cincinnati. Who i still feel really good about. Especially i mean. Even with the loss of marcus freeman to notre dame coordinator on defense upfront. Cincinnati should be strong once again. But i wrote down the list of names. Right here. See caleb and dustin i wanna call him dusty but dustin chrome in the mac macky race. Mccall is back by coastal carolina. You have. I lost my place. I believe nichols back at san jose state. Of course dylan. Gabriel should be healthy and good to go and now has gus malzahn in charge of that offense so i assume we are thinking pretty good things there. Sure jake hainer was pretty promising in year one. The washington transferred to fresno state. I just i dunno. Lane hatcher was good. Maliki willis is getting nfl attention. He had a really interesting year at liberty. Impressive your liberty. so. I don't know. I think it's a surprisingly deep carson strong. I haven't even mentioned that. Nevada is that a couple of really strong no pun intended. But it's true receivers nevada so know that to me is one of the more interesting elements because we we've talked about looking at the top of college football and like oh. It doesn't seem like a huge year for quarterback spencer. Sam how will like they're not necessarily a rousing instincts right now. Are they like they're good. They're very good but it's not like we. We have known killers across the sport like in certain years. We do so. I think you can look to the group of five for some really entertaining games because there's experienced talented quarterbacks all over the place. Yeah the grayson. Mccall will be interesting to watch wholesalers. Do like him. I don't care what you say. Now grace mccall a year after the big coming out party will be interesting to watch the direction. Coastal heads we by louis 2021 levi lewis and he has the face of eat lafayette great with an i l. stuff all right. Let's go to tell rico. Let's do it. I like this one. Which summer olympic sport do you think you in your prime could have at least outperformed the very lowest performers. Assuming you had the necessary prep time. This entire life is very difficult so what is prep time mean. I have no idea i have no idea so. Essentially if you have four years to prepare if you four years to prepare which of the looking. Gosh there countless sports here. Which of these do you think you could at least outperform the worst. I think this has to be a team. Sport don't you. It has to be some sort of team sport where you or i could be effectively buried in right field like in in baseball or softball right. I guess but what sport is that. It'd be based like if i replaced. Kevin durant with you. Well it's not basketball. It's clearly a joke of the olympics. But you could bury somebody in right field in baseball and you could get away with it. You strike out. You'd be a mess but the team could still go on and be pretty successful even with a deadbeat right field. He sang out. Perform the lowest performers in this situation. You would be the absolute lowest performer. In the baseball olympics. Outperforming the lowest. I was thinking team sport. I was thinking of how to be a team sport. Because i know where he performed the worst person at the olympics you have to outperform them. I mean there's gotta be somebody worse right field right. My answer is race. Walking answers race walking. I think i dedicated my life to it. I'm six one one seventy four ish and don't have especially long legs which i imagine you need to you gotta have. I don't have any hip issues. Which i think. That's where you generate a lot of the power race. Walking beyond that. I would be scared to jump off any platform of any sort of height. So diving is out. I don't have any sort of dexterity for gymnastics swimming fencing. Nothing like that. I could even approach the lowest performer. I lost to you a table. Tennis ryan can't skateboard can't shoot golf. I would be the absolute worst field hockey i. The problem is even the stuff that we're good at. We would still be the worst. I don't actually. I don't even think i would. Is there. Men's field hockey in the olympics. I have no idea where race walking by the way i'm looking for some it's no longer an event. It's within track and field. I have no idea. I'm looking to try and find a full roster of the events. I do not see race walking Race walking is yeah. It's let's see who's qualified. Yeah there's a twenty k. and a fifty fifty a yeah right. oh my god. The world record for race walking and fifty k. as three and a half hours of power walking. That's thirty one. Miles of fifty k. Is a long time. Oh the northern again if you gave me four years to dedicate my life to it a normal person just at a normal pace does a mile in twenty minutes right just a normal walk your dog and a half hour one miles ten minute miles ten miles. I guess yeah. I was at the olympic trials in two thousand eight hundred watched the race walking olympic trials. Those for those are athletes. Yeah those are full on athletes and they are moving. It's sometimes harder to walk really quickly than just flat out right it does. It does damage on the hips. I'm just saying. I have the best chance of not being the lowest perform performer at race. Walking i'm looking finishing. it's incredibly skilled. Incredibly difficult and i respect everybody. Who does it on an olympic level. But like what am. I going to start cycling. What about shooting now is they. Don't have the eye for it. No these are these people who've been shooting rifles. Their entire lives is croquet an olympic event. No canoeing wesleyan. It was at the at the nineteen hundred summer olympics. No i'm i'm looking at twenty. Twenty one man pissed swimming. I don't think. I have the core strength the leg strength to even in three or four years. I think i have the attitude and enthusiasm four year athleticism for years four years of a question. What is okay. I've asked this question before. I just think in real life to people in offices and stuff. What is the sports. You have the list of events. I have a list of sports. I don't i still don't see race walking but look up. Olympic track and field events olympic track and field events like you're not going to throw the javelin impressively you're not gonna throw shotput impressively. So what is what is the event you would least like. What are you what. Which event do you think would be the most personally embarrassing for you on the international stage to wake up out of a dead sleep and be expected to perform on international television. I'm a pod to attempt the event podcasts or so probably waitlist. Let's be honest. I see weightlifting is really binary right. Well for you and i weight lifting is more you either lifted or you don't so you would get they're trying to dead lift or whatever you're doing and you just wouldn't be able to lift it well. The american was unable to even lift it and it would be like well look at him like that's to be expected. I think it's floor exercise for exercise. They didn't get more exercise. I think it's the high platform dive. The high platform dive would be a huge bellyflop. And we'd probably knock ourselves out but you yourself but also you look like a spat on the way down. You just look like a complete spasms flailing and think about the aka cameras that are on your face right before the jump right and you're just out of a dead sleep expected to perform like you would. You wouldn't even be on camera running the hundred right. The cameras would bypass you immediately. And you'd see the replay that the american was sluggish. And you could. At least at least you could fake a hamstring injury halfway through a sprint. But yet gymnasts like the floor exercise. Oh where you're expected to be creative and have a routine like you wouldn't embarrass yourself golfing. You would be bad but you wouldn't embarrass yourself fencing your faces and seen you'd lose immediately whatever swimming you just get killed but you can swim so you would just be inapt. He wouldn't be embarrassing leah. I think the high dive super high platform hide i. I'd be terrified. Wouldn't be terrified. You jumping all skateboarding would be rough if you can't skateboard. Can you scape surfing. Would be rough if you can't serve but it's just that to me. It's just like well immediately. i can't do it. You would have to attempt something like what if you had to do. The pommel horse tie. that would be problematic. Yeah now i ask you this so this is the follow up question to this hypothetical from years ago. Would you rather wake up out of a dead sleep. Be expected to perform on the high platform right. Or you know. Or whatever gymnastics event that you would have to attempt or would you want to wake up out of a dead sleep and be in front of a microphone to sing the national anthem. At the super bowl i host the oscars like you would have to go out and host the oscars. I think you could win the oscars you could. Yeah i mean. I would rather do each of the last two then embarrass. Wake up out of a dead sleep and have to sing the national anthem at the super bowl. Sure sure absolutely so. You rather be. You'd rather be embarrassed on an emotional level than a physical level. I think so. Yeah i think that's what i'm going for. Because we've at least been in front of microphones in front of camp. Maybe not on that stage but not we've at least experienced something of what that's like a pommel horse. A high platform dive now rings the bars or get it man. Forget it. i wouldn't even know what to do. Hope sprinting up to the horse to the god. Have you ever seen the one where the guy like tries to do. The vault and just takes one in the chest. Yes i have and you see the dust kind of fly off them. That's real rough. I would not want to do that. Because then you risk real bodily harm. Like i could deal with emotional. In by the way they're boxing exists. Forget it now the olympics but that. Here's the thing we you and i are both reasonably athletic. Yes yeah reasonably reasonably. We're not elite athletes. we're not the fifth percentile of our age group. Sure we're reasonably athletic And we would still be bottom of the barrel for any and all olympic events. Of course at least you could win the oscars. At least you could. At least we know the words to the national anthem right. And you get. You've seen enough where you wake up out of a dead sleep. And you're in a tuxedo and you're walking to a microphone. You can be s your way through. Yeah we all celebrate the majesty of film. We're here to you. Could you could make peace together. Can see cert- you sort of work the room when you're like okay there's dame judi dench and there's jack nicholson whatever and you don't have to be funny but you could just like let's give them. You would just have a disastrous but efficient opening as long as you are not disastrous. You're fine it's like doing a wedding speech right right as long as it's not notably bad. It's fine it's fine so you could get away with doing that. Just don't be super controversial. You could get away with doing that. But there's really nowhere to hide if you're out there on the olympic stage unless it's right field which is why i said baseball. Put me in right to you think. Do you think your legacy as an embarrassing performer would be more pronounced. If you immediately got knocked out like as a a a judo participant participator mcnealy style. Yes you're just immediately knocked out just like boom knocked out or do think it's worse if you are tempting a high dive and your bad but you're not unconscious. Wow i mean i think you i think you are less memorable. Just being knocked out right away. You're definitely less memorable because there were probably you physically. It's definitely worse for you physically. Especially if you don't know how to take a punch but there were a couple of guys in the last olympics. And i forget where from gore horrible off the highest platform terrible and like. Oh really hurt themselves. Of course trying to jump off that thing so no i mean look it happens in real boxing in real a where people who are the favorites. Take a punch quickly and go down quickly. That's a thing so you could get away with that. The the high dive lives in infamy forever. I would also add. I would add that wearing what you would need to wear on the high dive what you would need to wear as gymnast. It's not it's not super forgiving aesthetically right. now that's true it's also very true whereas tuxedos fine. What is it called a g. You'd be fighting in a judo participant. Who has question. tell regan. This is a terrific question. Why i took it to a different place but it is a good question. I don't know if you know what you hear. It is okay there sailing. Well that's another one could you. Could you could become the second worst sailing participant. If given three or four years. Now these are lifers. What about right so hold on. What about the dude or the the the the man or woman to be politically that sits the the person who's in charge of the boat as rolling who just yells out the commands I can hawks in type. I don't know what it is. I could do that if you gave me enough time until i'm not you. I could do that. I could conduct that person yet as a metal. They're on the team. No but what. I'm saying is i mean this quite this question is asking is like wouldn't you. Then be the worst cox in there. I'm saying we need to have your cox abilities. A least outrank somebody else. This is very complicated. I was thinking team sports so you could just hide me somewhere. Sure i mean you'd be best. Probably what golf golfer baseball in terms of offering best possible version of yourself. And i would be the better tennis and i don't know how many like is there. A country with a particularly bad history of golfers like is there a country that sending somebody to participate in olympic golf. That can't break a hundred no mail. There's no chance no there've been some really bad participants that get in for whatever reason i just. I don't the home countries get in right. So there's that element to things. Those guys are playing from the tips. They're playing in a hardcore. It's not the local muny. You put me out there on that breaking ninety. There's no way there's somebody out there everybody out. There is going to be sub ninety for sure i will. I'll look the last olympics. The golf scores. I think golf you are prone to having full breakdowns. Me especially yeah. I'm not saying you saying one is so all right. That's all we have time for. This question went a little bit longer than expected. This is a terrific question terrific question. Thank you find sir. Me the atlanta falcons put out an apology. We put out our own as gp apologizing for nfl hitting. The funny thing was reading the comments. There are a number of people who thought it was actually serious and completely unrelated to. They had not seen the original jags post. They just thought it was in earnest. Apology i apologize for nothing. I'm not gonna apologize for losing money. I'll smell murray mean. I hope they hit. Why do i hope they hit. Because i bet on them showing. I'm not. Maybe this needs to be are pinned tweet where we point out to people that betting and picking games in the national football league picking games in college. Football is hard and you should do your own research before making your bet. Is it hard now. But that's just dominating over here. I well done calling coli killing them. I wanna for the record. Richard springer also checking in. This is a bigger picture thing probably need to address. Acc pac twelve both struggling pretty hard. Byu swept the pac. Twelve between san diego state fresno state Both winning it. Where we at with Where we with the pac twelve call. But i mean they're not looking great but i mean the acc is is has been worse. But i'd say the pack twelve right there with a to me. There's there's a again. I'm gonna. I'm gonna go back to the metaphorical significance of colby and us going to the ucla game because it felt like the pac twelve in the tailgate portion of the game in the first quarter of the game. We were feeling good. We were riding high right. They've got a bunch of wins early in the season but then halftime came and the turn the turn. The the crowd around koby started turning identity and much like the pack twelve starting to pack twelve things and lose games. They shouldn't yeah but they they should know by now. And i mean i'll be honest. Byu in san diego state should be in the pac twelve. They've had those opportunities. I think san diego states like nine and one in their last ten against the pac twelve. This is a rich program. You're in you're in a city that doesn't have a football team now and so one of the biggest cities in america. Go ahead and do this. They got a brand new stadium opening up next year. San diego states legit. They're legit team. And if you put them on the schedule you know this is not. This is not new mexico. State that you can get beat Weekend week out. They are as good as lots of teams in the pac twelve. I mean my thoughts are A lot the conferences who teamed up for the alliance aren't yeah. It's it maybe that has something to do with what's going on here because of the big twelve. Yeah no little brother chip on the shoulder come into play actual football this year. Once the the totems were given out and the You know people were saved from just laughing at the amount of totem talk. That has made its way into the show so right now right now a pack twelve is still probably ahead of acs. That'd be a kobe. Who does the you oregon. Ohio state the east coast. Lsu losing to ucla still big. What the the machine. The media machine will say as oh. It's the pac twelve beating up themselves. They're not very good again right like they get the same dig. Whereas if it's the sec. Or the big twelve. Oh look what a great conference it is. Everyone beats one another so that that underlying tone is why the pac twelve still last period. Well i mean the sec's garbage what we look at. How many look at. How many bad losses whether it's duke to charlotte whether it's you know miami. Miami almost went on three. They didn't make a forty eight year. This is a preseason top fifteen. Florida state is clips. It has to touch aesthetical against f. s. opponents. So this question so you would. If you were a heads up you would take pac. Twelve to be in the playoff over. Acc right now organs. Win is better than anything. Clemson's done so. If i said even money will be straight up at the acc. Whether what i think they will do. Or what i would do. But that's what we're talking. Are we talking about reality. They're not gonna you know the pact they're gonna. hec is going to be like. They're gonna put clemson over oregon every time i that's undisputable. There's there's there is for real west coast by and talked teams. I wanna hit on before we get to the pigs. One being ucla colby. You did call out that. This was a trap game danger game for ucla. How are you on ucla for the rest of the season. This this derail any sort of hopes. They have their schedules to tough Yes i still think they can win the pac twelve south. But this is what i mean. This is what we do at the college football experiences. Like when you go through and look at that schedule. I had him as a top ten hardest schedule for a reason. It's week when you schedule at conference. Okay hawaii is not a great team this year but last year they were solid right. They still might find themselves in a bowl. Game if hawaii's your easiest opponent and your second easiest opponents fresno state or or whatever you would deem the pac twelve well. That's a good schedule you know. That's a really tough schedule. There's no you. Lm's there's no new mexico states. there's no you know did the umass or something. You know what i mean. There's no yukon. So i knew that gauntlet. They also have two sets of back to back games of memory. Serves me correct So so i think they're going to be in the championship but the schedule is the schedule so easily you know i think they gotta play utah in salt lake city not enough. Fcat schedules what you're saying. Now mother the other question. We got this question. The youtube chat make sure you subscribe to the youtube channel. Sports gambling podcast turn on the notifications because we go live. We're live now with the college football. Show the nfl. You can get your questions in their michigan team. We love talking shit on. Are they for real. We have that question in the chat. I think it's worth addressing is michigan for real. Where are we with michigan. I mean i'm not. I need to see more because look at you okay. You beat northern illinois northern illinois. Just you know the okay. They beat georgia tech But they were winless team. A year ago You beat western michigan. Who looks alright. They'd be good. They beat pit and you beat washington who we thought was. We're going to be good but they clearly are in washington. You could make a case. One of the most fraudulent teams and i fell for it admittedly myself college football playoff not looking good for washington right now looking on the outside looking in the huskies. Me and i'll go down with the great phil steele. I love how anytime people bring out that i had them. In the playoff ago. You know at me and phil steele were off. We weren't on our game. I love just dragging them. I can tell you this if you're a michigan fan and you're seeing the way ohio i mean. We locked up ohio state last week. I don't know who who followed me on that. But that they had their hands full with tulsa that scores deceiving. They got pick six. Say i had told. Yeah i mean a ohio state was really annoying. Because i bet on ohio state and they were just they were in that zone where they were kind of close to covering but then tulsa was in the game to the point where like i couldn't start rooting for tulsa for the upset win. I still had a kind of root for ohio state to cover and then they were hitting at it was like twenty seven points and they were up fourteen and up twenty one then only up seven it was it was back and forth into never felt like they dominated and certainly everything that we were kind of like. Oh man You know that first. Half minnesota game or even that oregon game where it's supposedly just an outlier. I think they have some real questions. So ohio state. I not high on ohio state. I'll say this for the michigan fans out there. If if montana who's a top ten. Fcs right if they had played michigan schedule. What would their record. Because i think they'd be three out. They would have beat northern illinois. We know they beat washington at washington. Michigan didn't even win at washington. It was in ann arbor And then they would beat western michigan. I think that would be. That would be the closest game. But i think i think montana will be three and with the same schedule. Michigan has this is great for the media scrape for everyone because odds are perhaps they look ahead this week and they sleep against rutgers as Tyrrell's point out in the chat line. Play putt save for the bios. Long look i love junior also called for the money line of northern illinois. Fifty five points where you look you look at the schedule and it's like cool. He hasn't done anything that's shocking. The washington win is something that was important but that number was one preseason and now we know washington between the people are missing and just the whatever the coach the program they still have. Michigan still has at wisconsin. Michigan still has a wisconsin's own them lately. Michigan steel has at michigan state. a team. that looks like they're on the rise. They still have at penn state and then of course they get ohio who they can't beat so ohio state. Yeah sorry are who. They can't beat now Do i love the hype here. Because could we potentially get a nice number with wisconsin next week could could we potentially get some nice numbers down the road against michigan state and penn state on the road because we know michigan has a huge fan base laid. Love to bet. Yeah i think great. Yeh michigan that has helped. I think that's helpful if you're looking to fade university of michigan. Do i think michigan is a locked to get five. More wins and cash there over seven and a half. No i'll say. Oh well there you go again. I i just gave you three win on the road before like college football. I tell this all the time you gotta win on the road before. I find that if you're a good football team not they still have rutgers the brask northwestern indiana and maryland. All winnable games. They they can get to the over very easily here but wouldn't surprise me if the wheels fall off after a couple bad losses absolutely not because you know harbaugh looking on the next year and probably looking for some slumber parties with the next punting prospect and lastly one final note. I did come up with the name super soaker for. Byu on their upset money line wins feel free to use it when you're how how about that job though i mean. Byu calamities attack. He's doing a great job there. I mean we. They lost the most production of anyone in college football last year. They should be rank a lot higher than say texas. Am here we you know. The masses jaren hall has looked really good. I know his second half wasn't of that game wasn't quite as impressive but again i don't know what the latest heismans odds are. It would have to be pretty insane And he he did get the wind knocked out of there. Were worried it was maybe broken ribs or something but I mean he he would be darkhorse. Darkhorse candidate there for heisman. Candidacy all right. Let's get to the pigs before we do time for this week's real Brought to you by prop slots gp n. presents real men of degen real. And we salute you. Jared is accent. That's right jared. Ike isaacson is now the first man to ever place a bet from outer space. that's right. The tech billionaire went on the inspiration for and he called in his bed. Normally they don't allow you to bed out of state of maybe the maybe. The spaceship was over the area where he could get down. You know what he bet ryan. I bet on the giants washington redskins game over forty and a half cash touching. He should've played houston. Houston we have a problem. If they weren't covering right. I like that. He also bet on the eagles at sixty six to one through four k. down there which is four k. Come on don't be a plus your tech billionaire. Nice like ten k. on that fourcade away now to sixty four dollar bet La- real quick sean. Because you got to the real men and g jim before i wanted to get their last thing to note from the last week is luke who we have sitting atop the heisman odds right one matt corral who. We have a ticket for what i mean. Okay mac under the ad one eighty. Oh my god all right so we're going to take picking we're gonna go over to dot com listed. We should actually ah listed on our account or at least use their tool because they have a pretty sweet tool that will tell you how much arm. Yeah one eighty. I mean maybe he does. He really win the heisman. what we get. Here's doesn't play. Bama for two weeks so after this week we milk if they beat them they're not going to ban in tuscaloosa all right. Let's make some pick. Shaw koby six pack. That was refreshing louisiana. Heads the statesborough georgia square off against georgia southern the georgia southern eagles. Fourteen point dogs diplomat. Beautiful whiskey i mean it is. It is dallas week so you know. I'm not going to go against any eagles list. The georgia southern eagles six and one against the spread versus a team with a winning record and eight and two against the spread and their last ten after a loss and six and two against the spread at home. This this to me and louisiana's obviously the better team that's why there are fourteen point road favorite three o'clock west coast kick. That's i mean that may as well be a nice game down in georgia. That's going to be what six o'clock i think they'll be rockin. Gimme gimme gas here. Plus fourteen koby. I'm guessing you're on the chalk here with louisiana. No all over georgia son. Or maybe look georgia's this first two games. They went one and one Didn't we're actually. I believe three. Ats right now but They didn't have the quarterback the first two games academically ineligible. Now he's back and here's another thing at louisiana. Last year. they were winning majority of that game. They had the lead with about five seconds. Louisiana made a fifty three yard field goal. Memory serves me correct to win that thing. You're not going in the and catching sprinkle some on the money. Line or thirty five. Come on let's have some fun. Gamblers here isn't this. The classic triple option. Yes yes It's a home game. I i think. I guess i don't understand the other side of this. You look at who they played like. It's not like louisiana's impressing anyone right. Yeah i mean for for me. I mean just on principle for me not to take a fourteen point dog. They have to look pretty horrible. And haven't you know georgia southern games. It's not. I mean they're not obviously amazing but they this spread seems out of whack. I i feel like i'm missing something here. It's it's not. i think this is just a you. Take the triple option team. Getting a lot of points and hope that You know betting on the eagles in another losing proposition who. I switch my pictures based on brian. Talking talking a lot of smack for the owen to new york giants they. I just saw graphic of giants and jets dating back to two thousand seventeen. The first two weeks combined between the the two teams one win okay. Smu heads of fort worth texas where. Tcu is laying. Ten horned frogs minus three eighty on the money. Line total sitting at sixty four. Smu coming away with a miracle. Win over louisiana tech. It feels like a good time to fade them. However as you as a knack for getting some turnovers they have six takeaways. So far this season is this just a you know kind of smu wild season for them or or do we go. I'm going back and forth here at the number being ten. Let me help you. yeah do you. Like the name. Ulysses bentley the fourth. Are you allowed to say. He was with the union. The union who used to hold a puffiness umbrella characters name knows bentley. something it was like. I think it was like bentley and he held an umbrella. Oh he was like he was puppies man servant and it was like right right. Post biggie when he was he was dancing and he couldn't afford a real bentley so he named his butler badly. That's the that's the smu running back. Yeah i know because it's a great name. And it's like as you hear ulysses grant the smu quarterbacks been pretty solid to enter mordechai mordechai touchdowns interceptions. He's also got involved in running a little bit. Why did i save it. Why did i save them right there. At more than what are you doing here. Call me either way. This is the hundredth battle of the iron skillet. Oh that's this is one hundred ten days this teams. I started in nineteen fifteen. He had some cancellations so Season the play is is really Tcu here guys. Tcu's the better team zac evans at five star running back an eight yards or rush right now. Two hundred seventeen on twenty seven carries. Max dougan this. Smu team very very fortunate to be undefeated right now and got to remember back. This cancelled last year. Because the cove problems do you think the numbers to shortens thousand nineteen. Smu wanted these tcu players want that revenge. They've been. They've had their eye on the skillet for a while. They're going to get it done. Take the horned frogs minus the ten points off. It is that time in the season we have to start looking at which teams are are looking better in the in the scores or on the in the standings than others. And you know the one thing that concerns me. Here is that random nugget. Tcu not great coming out of the bye week. Two and six against the spread and smu has performed well against the big twelve of late. And maybe they can keep a close like sexually thornton saying that's let's talk about your performance. What are essentially for four and one against the spread and their last five non conference and five and two against the big twelve. So while i hear you we like max dougan You know part of the The army of kids with fucking weird. Names tanner mac schuyler garner I think I think tcu bigger fish to fry. I don't think the skillet you're not concerned that that cow game when tcu like basically didn't show up to the fourth quarter. I think they want to do. But i think for the iron skillet game they will be up in it. It just kind of works out perfectly. Because they're fading an smu team. That really i mean you. We had that game on one of the atv's and from what i saw it was it was just wild. That kind win is the type of wind. You wanna fade that team. They have lost you. Maybe catch a couple extra points. They're fired up coming off that loss. But i think they're only got some using trouble. I mean i think. Tcu maybe maybe has texas on the mine a little bit next week so me They keep a close enough to cover the ten. Smu plus ted now we had to arlington. Texas zachary calling. This is one of these filthy neutrals. Jerry's world oh texas. Am laying five and a half against arkansas. Arkansas's a plus one eighty five. Dr not quite a obviously not a home dog here but texas arkansas man. I think arkansas is pretty solid. I i guess. I haven't seen anything. Wrong teams favored. That's what i had says. Xactly what i have in here and to me the the unit that has been most impressive between these two teams. I think is kind of arkansas. Defense has played pretty solid. So i think the fact you're giving them five and a half is just too much. This feels like it. It could be a good game. i think texas a. and m. could be in trouble here texas a. and m. is why preseason rankings are dog shit. Yeah the this is a team that doesn't belong on the top twenty five right now. If they belong in the wake forest belongs it all right because they've beaten. No one can beat kent state out the gay but even that was close at halftime. They beat colorado ten to seven. Understand your quarterback but that quarterback wasn't wasn't setting the world on fire threw three picks against kent state. And i'm talking about hanes king. Well and then cal zodda comes in and he looks really good against new mexico mexicano dude colorado colorado by thirty two minnesota that look and i'm a colorado fan. I was on minnesota. This colorado team can't throw the forward pass no business being in a close game with them. If you're if you're a ranked opponent. Now i mean you know if colorado gets that one score i hit that colorado money line and yeah granted. They lost their starting quarterback. But i i'm with you. I don't think that offense was red hot before this is just all preseason hype that they haven't gotten upset yet and i. This could be the the upset. So i i like arkansas. Yeah i'm ryan rice. Texas and georgia southern the defense gets upgraded here. We don't like lay. We don't like taking teams coming off. Triple option game. I that's a great point though berry odem great defensive coordinator down there in arkansas. He's going to dial up a defense. Zach calzada is gonna have to be able to turn the ball over which okay you look into mexico so would So would my cousin teams that are maybe overperform performing at this point in the season. If you look at just the talent. I hear you have everything about texas am is why this line is a short as as it is. An arkansas is gonna get a huge upgrade in terms of defensive talent in this game. And i think arkansas struggles the score texas a. and m. minus five and a half. It's not a big enough number to scare me off. It's not north of touchdown. i'm gonna lay the points. Texas am because at the end of the day. I think their defense is enough to get this. One done arkansas very overrated much like my hokey sitting there fifteen call. Let's go you're you you can say. They haven't played anyone but they still have only given up like fifteen points. Colorado couldn't score and a on a feel by themselves again let. Let's see what arkansas. And i i. They didn't pass the you know what's not passing the eye test ryan. My hairline thankfully keeps. His here helped me hanging onto my hair. That's right you want to hang onto your hair. Yeah i mean cowboys wiki right yeah okay. Now i'm still taking 'em they'll be more people rooting for texas. Say cow heads up to seattle washington. Where the huskies are laying seven and a half forty six on the total to calbears plus two forty five money line. I mean kobe. What what have you seen at washington that that makes you think they should be seven and a half point favorites against anyone and i. I don't know cal. Ten and one against the spread in their last eleven games as road underdog thirteen in five against the spread in their last eighteen road games. I just think washington is clearly not the team that people thought they were. This number is not reflecting and maybe cal gets up for this game. I don't know. I can't take washington and seven and a half. I know they got right the game before. But i'm still not on them and let's go back to two thousand. Nineteen cow wins at washington. It didn't play last year because of covert eighteen in two thousand eighteen. They win and they went ugly. They won twenty two nineteen and twelve ten. But that's what cows game is. That's what justin wilcox dials up. And i can tell you. Dylan morris the quarterback of wash. I understand they had four or five receivers. That are out. However dylan morris still not doing a great job at quarterback fifty seven percent police. A percentage He's got more interceptions than touchdowns. I'm all over cal here. And i think sprinkle some of the money line. Because i didn't cal's gonna shut this offense down there's going to be. I mean wouldn't shock me. Washington wanted still. But i think it's just the backyard brawl where you're just going to have a something like You know a another one of these scores. Twenty two nineteen or twelve to ten when when When peterson steps aside. Who by the way. Billy bob thornton. Like dead ringer for that. I don't watch any of peterson. On the pre-game the fox A studio show voice wise. Or whatever you say looking. I mean he's a he's a cleaner cut guy but So when when he left the lake was the replacement. Because what his recruiting prowess right. Well it's a good defensive coordinator good but also like he has this recruiting process but clearly a are. We starting to worry that. Maybe he's not a good coach. I think it's too early to tell me they actually won. The north last year is just. They didn't put him in because of cova they were but because this this game the public's all over the dog sean pointed out all the reasons why you wanna take the dog. Last time they went up there they won the game. Why is this number. Still still seven and a half. Why is this number. Still seven and a half. Yeah there you go give me washington. Wow galaxy branding myself this week but seventy five percent of the money on is on cow. It's pushing down seven. There's no reason to take washington other than they have the talent edge most likely if they do show up compla- defense maybe they shut them down. Not i mean. I'm just digging on colby case scenario. How many points washington put it up on the defense. It's if they win like twenty four to ten. That's that could happen. It could happen. Yeah i'm on cal again. It's three weeks. And we have to fade some washington. Just sucks and shawn's prediction of the phil. Sean sean anfield studio being filled bonkers the number. My my models spitting out some weird results couple liars. I would think you'd like to the chalk. Your them kentucky lays five and a half has they head to columbia south carolina square off against gamecocks gamecocks plus one eighty own dog. Tell you this much. I like my. I like some said nolan. I just like the story. And he's looked pretty good five touchdowns only one interception not certainly dynamic passing game only one hundred sixty six yards per game south carolina. I think you know they're they're scrappy. i'm a little. I'm a little worried about taking kentucky as a road favorite here south carolina. Seems like they'll be ready for this game where you at. Hi i'm hammering. Look i can tell you this man if oh yes. You don't have a lead against east carolina for the entire football game to the final play. I'm fading you okay. All right so gilbert as little. Give me kentucky. I just think is not a very good football team. I think the sec east is a bunch of dog shit. So i'm gonna take kentucky. They're three and now we'll let us can actually throw the forward pass. I know kentucky's in the sec. East but i might have a chance to chattanooga by five bucks three and maybe a little overvalued a road spot against the sleepy shitty shane. Beamer lord man ondeck. Yeah lsu after that georgia at a game against chattanooga which is a game picked on. Hey don't but that's why you gotta take the came cox here. Data says carolina's scary. That's why it's scary. I will say this does feel a little bit. Like the a n m game in the sense that like talent could win and five and a half isn't enough this is back door offenses horrible. I'm with you off. This is early situational where we have a team. That is three. You know that again when the coach gets that bonus year only needs the wind seven. He's only got one of those of it. So maybe this is one of those for seven. But i don't know if covering matters. And i think they see an opportunity with the sec. East as you said being a little bit trashed. They're looking ahead to florida. I love. I love my guy. Shane beamer i have. Frank will be in the house for this one. I wanna see a college football playoff of colorado. Kansas south carolina vanderbilt. If here's the problem right college basketball out. Oh after the main playoff just have another playoffs and we get the point is like the the power five toilet bowl we take. This is leeches ideal worst because that everyone gets the extra practice anyway john. Yeah i mean Leeann You're taking the cox. Yeah i got a long. I you guys need cox bending on south carolina is suicide to me It'll be a fun ride this one. This one should be an interesting game to unc. Heads down to atlanta georgia square off against georgia tech georgia tech getting getting twelve points plus three sixty on the money line. Total senate a whopping sixty. This is interesting because unc. Coming off back to back home games where they put up fifty nine against georgia state fifty nine against virginia. That's kind of a strange back to back number two. Yeah very unlikely to have that Back to back and uva. I was on uva plus nine. I thought they'd be able to make it a game. Unc has this mode and we didn't see it. We go on the road against virginia tech but That they can kinda hit this high speed. High-octane offense georgia tech though man. They're they're kind of scrappy home dog. Unc does have duke That's not the next week. They're probably not looking ahead. I don't know how does unc roll here again. One hundred percent. They have much offense georgia tech even though they played great game against clemson clemson struggling offensively north carolina This offense is very much. Like ole miss and i don't think has enough firepower. So give me the tar heels all day. I think they went by twenty eight thirty something like that and it's probably a little late but you know this is maybe the time to buy sam howell stock in the heisman race. Plus two thousand five hundred he comes from the you know. A school backed by nike in the jordan brand in conference they. Could you know there are going to be playing for the conference championship. Potentially as as long hokies don't trip up a one more time. I think you're i think strangely like north carolina is is probably going to be the public side of this but i think a lot of people saw georgia tech play close game with clemson. And maybe they're not thinking clemson is as bad as if you've actually watch them and georgia tech is still not there yet. And so could. North carolina stumble here. Sure will that will. Is it likely. No this is. This is complete blow out. This is a complete blowout spot. They realized they lost their game already. They keep they need pile it on. You need to get sam. How those heisman touchdown. So i think you lay the point here again just like i told you to do last week with north carolina. Yeah no i. I i think i learned my lesson. Faden unc. I'm a little nervous. It's on the road. But if you've never seen georgia tech at home that crazy farm. Acc homefield colleges euchre boston. Maybe you wake up at school stores. This georgia tech. Still bobby dodd stadium. They drive around that old car. A bunch cheerleaders jump on. That thing is a little bit of a little bit of excitement tech school. Acc wow that is what they are. They have won a national championship more. Recently than the other textile who shot at writing co like who all right. Let's move over to the top twenty. Five games. notre dame wisconsin soldier field. Do you approve this neutral site. Colby i said this is the only this orlando. Those are all right that. That's that's still in wisconsin. Why not not the link. Come on no need to bring bringing the link here but temples. No i just played in wisconsin. I mean i. I do like seeing games at soldier field money. I'm still on board with you. I'd still rather play this on a campus. But if you're gonna ever played neutral site there's three places the fun part about football is the fancy. There's three places you can arrowhead lambeau soldier any of these other arrowhead getting legendary cotton bowl cold still full. Should adhere only still fired up about the first super bowl. Are this doesn't make sense to me. This spread five and a half a maybe make sense. It's at wisconsin. But five and a half means if this game was in wisconsin and what was it would be eight and a half point favorite. Let's talk about this for this. Spread makes no sense to me. This feels like it should be a field goal game like this. Should be three and a half wisconsin at the very most more notre dame fans. They're hitting free points. Notre dame a traditionally public team there. Yeah i mean. It doesn't make sense to me ryan. Why why is the spread. Five and a half. Well let me take you. Through what notre dame the highlights of their season so far well Let's start they They beat Was it florida state. They feel goal win over florida. State that that's looking good on age and then we I think we played toledo and another field goal. Victory over toledo. Ok toledo is obviously one of the best mid majors though right now yeah lost the colorado state not a good. Who's the coach in colorado state. Adagio beat okay and then we had a road game against instate rival purdue. Who's pretty what would you say hot trash this year. They were undefeated before that game though buddy and they struggle. They were outgained by they got. Here's the reason. You're wrong sean. Because wisconsin does. What really well well. They're they're going to load up the box. Even in that shitty game against penn state. It was really hard for penn. State to move the ball notre dame. Everyone knows them as a team. That rocks and offensive line tight ends. They get the ball on the ground. This is not that version. There rebuilt two point nine yards a carry on the year. That's horrible. They played florida state toledo purdue and there are only running for two point nine yards a carry and they've given up fourteen sacks that's the reason why because everyone else is. Oh you know this is going to be a low scoring defensive game it so many points doing an impression on me. Because i mean this is a field goal. Four point killed last thing. I if you go back and look at that. Penn state game penn state. I think at this point we can say they're pretty good team and if not they were how many times it wisconsin make it to the red zone and not get any points. That game could have very easily been a different outcome. And we'd be very we thinking differently about this game so the last thing. I'll say history against you too. Because of brian. Kelly wins this game. He passes new rodney for the all time. Winningest notre dame head coach. And i'll tell you this. That shit ain't gonna happen at soldier field. That shit ain't gonna happen against wisconsin. That's going to happen at home. Who's notre dame have next at home. Cincinnati at home against cincinnati against brian kelly alma mater. You're gonna lose cincinnati. They're gonna shock the world with bill. Bird's doing voiceovers for the game. Get me fired up. We got rudy going on one of the. Tv's god's i of all time that's the that's the worst thing that's happened to workplace f s. Run constantly reappearing rudy. Look the play here is notre dame. It's just too many points wisconsin Grammar even in that eastern michigan game. He almost costs us or cover throwing bad passes in the red zone. Has he learned. I think their defense of front will. Oh i noticed. This is going to be a slugfest. But how about this angle. Jack cohn quarterback of notre dame grad transfer from wisconsin. When they started mertz he said. All right. I'm going to go over to notre dame so if anybody knows wisconsin jim leonard's defensive styles it's the guy who practice practice against them you're not i can't talk seventy five. Seventy five percent of the action on notre dame. Let's go kansas state oklahoma state in stillwater oklahoma oklahoma lane five and a half minus two sixty on the money long case state plus ten gone the other way. Forty six is the total at k. State is just not a good team. I where are we at with this colby No i. I was a big fan of k. State before schuyler thompson went down. But i i was on case day beating nevada last week with the backup will howard because manhattan. Kansas is still a top spread on that they won thirty eight seventeen. They were actually the dog in that game because skyler thompsons But i i think manhattan is a tough road for western west coast team. I mean isn't this then isn't a set up perfectly for oklahoma state. Kansas state got a big win guy. You know win. One for the for the quarterback backup comes in they dominate nevada. And now you go on the road to stillwater. Tough environment at this. This feels like okay stayed all day. I'm on okay. Stayed all day One of our fans asking wait. So what we picked. Kramer pick wisconsin me and genre notre dame three minutes of me. Tell sean why he was on the wrong. So yeah i mean my concern with the ca like i think this is the classic like they played really well at home with the backup quarterback and now they're like they're going to have blown out. Yeah i took away a little bit from that win. Up there in boise always hard to how we got robbed on the field. This point still. I don't understand. It's unclear advantage to have your jerseys blend with the fucking field. You play green team on a on a team that wears completely green uniform eastern michigan michigan state. Come on there's that states grass is brown like that. It's not it's not that beautiful green. You know how it goes anyway anyway. Yeah i think you. I'm with you sean. You take oklahoma. State here You don't look back. I think this is another thank you. This is a a a nice. No one's so one watched. The oklahoma state boise state amazon weight and everyone's like kansas state. Beat carson strong he. He's an nfl quarterback that must be that must be meaningful. So that over the rowley. North carolina clemson heads. The nc state was ten. Now it's nine and a half. Nc state a plus three hundred dog on the money line total sitting in forty-seven. I mean. clemson. I i can't imagine people running to bet clemson. Nc state has their own issues. What are you doing here. colby this is. This is tricky spot. Because you know i hate. Nc state all right from the mississippi state game and then from them being a little bit suspending these rivalry because we stormed the field and took down their goal post but clemson look their bathing me. Take to take clemson. Nc state plus nine and a half. It does feel like a trap. It's almost that reverse reverse psychology where they go. Yeah cl- clemson's gonna roll 'cause they like i think they they're galaxy branding at the The bookie send the spread here because everyone saw clemson only beat georgia tech by six points so now. Oh they're going on the road they got a chance to light it up against. Nc state they will. But i i don't know man. Nc state as a nine and a half point home dog that seems a little crazy the number open at twelve and it's been bet heavily on the nc state side because because don't know nc states the very public side of this game really. And and when i would say i would i would caution you because if there's one thing i know about dabo sweeney if there's anything that he can use and honesty his team playing like shit is probably a good example but what do we know about this team. So far. Well they got. They got the wakeup call last week. Yeah this was the wakeup call game. I'm with you. Let the offense wasn't i mean i know and looked really bad. What you guys are calling for is the wakeup game. And it already happened against the much lower quality team so he can use that but is it concerning. Th they have two touchdowns in eight quarters of yes very much concerned very much but you can also make the argument that they were looking ahead last week to nc state a game then obviously is. The one circled as this is where we could trip. I hate this picking this game. Because i could totally see it going either way. Nc state laid that egg against mississippi state. I think nc state eighty. If i'm dave dave doran i'm telling my team look this team's not that good. We know this. This is our chance to steal the division and win the acc. And the last thing i'll say is my read on this number is that the bookies opened it too big. They realized that and they're they're waiting to get the action back on clemson and maybe may. I don't think this line goes much lower. I think it probably sits around ten. And you're going to see a lot of people giving out. Nc state as a sexy underdog pick for week four in college football. They're going to reference the game last week. And i just think that game last week is why they come out and storm the fucking him. I think they will get you know the more Dabo is a good fucking coach. They're starting to win. It's going to be ugly though it'll be like twenty four. Fourteen clemson grinding out the coaches of like performances. Like they had against georgia tech last week because they get to the usa players here the week. Eat their ass for lunch. It's a slim say in the business. Lsu heads the starkville mississippi. Where the fighting mike leach is catching two and a half man robbed horrible to end that game last week should have got the w let that game slip through their fingers. Kobe's this a bounceback spot for a hill state or is that a dream crusher. now it's a bounceback spot and look one of my trends have been you know we talked about this. I think last week but taking these home environments that are that are crazy that You know. I'm sure. I'll i'll take lsu the following week when they're at home against auburn but you know we saw it with west. Virginia why do we take west. Virginia over virginia tech. Why do we take virginia tech over north carolina. the why we take k state against nevada. It's you're going into these places that are completely toxic and I i wanna ride with google with with the cowbells and mike leach because You know he beat last year. I know he's looking for revenge. But this lsu team what were they up seventeen nothing in the mid third against mcneese. Yeah and they've they've kind of been sleepwalking. They had that week zero. Sorry week one loss. Ucla and then they played two fcs schools at home. I think they got a little sleepy here. Now you're gonna go at starkville. I think it's a real said wakeup call for them. So yeah. I think he'll stake. It's w. here there do. I don't know why else use favored. i mean. They weren't dominating these teams to the point that they should be a road favorite in my mind. This should be state minus three like mississippi state has looked good I'm surprised i'm surprised. They're the dog. It was a better defense mississippi state or ucla That's a good question. I mean i was probably say state. I mean i don't know yeah. Ucla was able to do things against lsu's offense they had some big plays if you go back and watch that game. Though there there are a lot of the if not for those explosive plays lsu really struggled to consistently move the ball so my take on. This is wrong team favored I wish i had gotten down on this early Like shawn normally does on a better number plus three One thing to note here. We're seeing more tickets being printed. Lsu not surprising. That's why the numbers coming down. But we have started to see some bigger bets On mississippi state. Sorry that's why the number came down but we do still see more tickets on. Lsu who's running to take lsu in this spot it's hard. Yeah that is a that is a tough spot for them for sure aright. Ucla stanford ucla laying five. And a half. As they head to palo alto california they're coming off a tough loss stanford coming off a couple of nights wins here for stanford. What's your what's your take on this game called. Ucla bounced back spot. I like i do stanford i mean stanford probably would be three and they started andrew mckee in the first game but bounceback spot for for. Ucla and I i think they get it done in palo alto so I just think Ucla schedule like i forecast that fresno state loss i said man. That's the one that that's the one that's going to catch him. Call me was all overhead. I look i will give it to them. And now they're bounceback and then they're gonna lose one in a couple of weeks and then you know if they don't win. I mean yeah the fresno loss. You know i i think it gives president really good though. Yeah but what i'm saying. Is i think you're worried. More worried about this spot. If they win that game. I think you kind of have that weird element of get catching a loss. Probably good chip. Kelly seems to have things going in the right direction and francis not buying. Stan instance a good team. I i don't think that now. Ucla should have got the w being at home. but i. i don't think that. I don't think that loss is indicative of like. Oh they're a fraudulent team. I i still think. Ucla is a good team. So yeah i'm i'm with you i i think take. Ucla as the road favorite and people are you know vanderbilt. I guess they still got the win. Yeah but i'm covered. Ucla's probably the different class No i think. Ucla has had some interesting games here. So i i like the competition so stanford no home field advantage. Yeah that's true west. virginia. Heads the norman oklahoma. Where oklahoma is a sixteen and a half point favorite minus eight hundred. The money line mountaineers plus five fifty on the money line going the other way west virginia held on to a squeaked out that win and cover came down to the final couple minutes of the game right. We haven't gotten your take on. Virginia tech of firefox tape day. Where are you at with tech and west. Virginia going into norman. I mean this was the classic say they. I thought they wouldn't be sleepy because this used to be a robbery. Went obviously didn't get the memo. They showed up. They were asleep. It was a horrible game plan and what happened. They fought back. They probably i mean at the end of the day. The quarterback burmeister not good enough. That's why they didn't win. This game game plan sucked. This was a day. Loss now wasn't a conference loss. There are worse things that can happen. Oh and specifically for the spot. We're going to talk about west. Virginia at home different than west virginia on the road. You guys are probably going to galaxy brain and talk about how you're gonna take west virginia. Here's looked pretty good. I'm not take much from their Their win over virginia tech because again virginia tech didn't show up until the third quarter. Oklahoma has looked like trash but this is the kind of game that they can get right on. Yeah i mean oklahoma at home. Let's look them at home. They beat tulane by five two lane. I mean should've you could argue words like right in the mix for that game and then the nebraska game where they nebraska beat themselves more than oklahoma beat nebraska and that's in nebraska or sorry. No that was that norman. Nebraska lent nine points. I mean to misfield goals. Extra point they got blocked and taken back to the house nebraska. Really you know. I hear what kramer sane like west virginia plus sixteen and a half is kind of maybe getting cute but to me. It's less about oh west. Virginia looked really good against virginia tech. It's more just. I don't think. Oklahoma should be lane three scores against any decent power percent and they're completely overrated right now. I mean like coming in this year like everyone's saying they're gonna win the national championship stuff like that. This team doesn't look very good to me like and that's just the facts right now. I mean yes. You beat western carolina by seventy six points but they won one game in the yes last year to cover all right. They did come with. That was one of my locks but look the fact is is. This team is not that good. And and if anything lincoln riley said hey you know we're going to really focus on kansas state. This year they beat the past two years. Well guess what next week is the game at bill snyder. Stadium near manhattan kansas. This is a look ahead spot. Gimme west virginia and the points around baby. I am so happy with the position. I'm in this week i i. I'm doing a lot of fading of Kobe dan here. Hey i'm only number one over there. Tally site that's it zig zag closing it out. Nebraska heads the east lansing michigan. Go up against michigan state spartans laying five minus one ninety five on the money line you know nebraska kind of looked alive against oklahoma but this is back back road games for the huskers. I feel like they go. They go to Lansing here and lay an egg. This is kind of the vibe. i'm getting others nebraska team. I i know look competitive and you could argue. Maybe that was like one of their better games. Just being in the mix with oklahoma. But what do you think. Kobe are you on nebraska. Here's a dog i am. I think i think they're going to win on the money line. I think michigan state coming off a huge win against my scott frost. Love blind me. Well no look covered for me last week. I was all over nebraska and I think they're actually a pretty good football team with the special teams the one glaring weakness everywhere else. They look like a decent football team to me in michigan state. Coming off a huge road win. I think it's easy to twist this and say hey. Michigan state looks awesome. Could i make the point that northwestern just lost to duke michigan state's only other win was F. b. bs win was against northwestern. Miami's not that good and nebraska. Maybe they are decent. I know the illinois game was to to the miami point. The michigan state won a road game by twenty one points. I i know. Miami doesn't look good. But i still think they dressed that up a little bit. They dressed up a little bit. Yeah aren't you an eye test guy. I'm taking nebraska. I think nebraska is going to get the win here outright. What i test nebraska's passing for you. I mean in michigan. You is passing an eye test. Yup and For this game specifically after nebraska had that close harper q. Lost oklahoma i love michigan's. Yeah i know you hate mel tucker to that. Active back on michigan state last. We'll be hates mill talker. He loves scott frost. I think we want to caution. The listeners on this one that he might look on on betting michigan state this year. Ats you gotta know when to hold them. No one two fold them. it's true. Kobe is A poker player at heart time for the lock dog and tease brought to you by prize. Picks that's right d. f s simplified. They're talking about some of the movement baseball some of the you know deals going on and not picking up this guy's option picking up this guy's option and what's going to happen with managers and everything else. So why don't we brush against a couple of these carver high first of all, your thoughts on keeping which I thought was essential the sinker ball pitcher. Zach. Britton. Yeah I, mean they had to do it. He's a big part of their bullpen He makes a lot of money, but you gotta pay big money to get good relievers and he has his moments but all relievers do. So I think the Yankees had to bring him back. That was a no brainer to me. So, will they sign the deal for DJ lament? He will they get the deal done. No worries there. Done and then. They'd like to get a left handed bat like a Rizzo. I I don't think they're going after I really don't believe they're going after rail Muto, because I don't think they wanted us any money after they lost so much money every team in baseball bleeding money. Certainly, the low payroll teams, like Pittsburgh etc. Kansas City, those teams had taken a severe beating and a bath. With this twenty season not only did they not make any money then? Then winning games and go anywhere and all they did was play. You Know Sixty Games lose and then they were finished and there's no way to make money. So the teams that did make the playoffs. They, lost money as well, but there was less bleeding, right so I don't see him going out and doing some big deal for Rail Muto and getting rid of Gary Sanchez the bottom line is, is that I don't believe Real Muto wants to play in New York I don't believe he's GonNa play for the Yankees. I don't believe he's going to play for the mets I've heard all this I can take about the mets are Gonna Steve? Cohen be the. Owner and that he will immediately start a signing a rail Muto Trevor Bauer. And everyone else that matters in baseball and springer you have from please that guy's not signing those three players at the same time. The I mean they'd go broke. So you know they're all GonNa make tons of money all three of them and the guy doesn't WanNa. Play in New York allegedly but I also don't believe where the comes out of his mouth when he said you know. I don't WanNa. I don't WanNA leave Philly. But if somebody offers me, you know. Unbelievable money then I would certainly consider it. Well, that's a nice way of saying that whoever pays them the most money? That's where he's going. That's exactly what that means. So and I gotTa tell you. I'm not. Really that blown away I i. don't know about you but. Are you serious? Did this guy's just the greatest thing ever? Rail Moods L.? Are you serious? He's not going to be worth the amount of money that he is going to get paid He just isn't look. Is he the one of the best offensive catchers in the game? Sure. But I don't think that that's worth the kind of money that he's asking for him to be paid among players. In that stratosphere, there's guys Scotty that a free agency air. That are worth a lot more I think than real Mutel I think springer is absolutely one of them. I think that Osuna. Marshall. From the braves I. Think he's you know I think that those guys that? Are Worth more and and you know Bauer. Rail mutual is also very brittle many. Even he misses he missed some games this year he's you know. He's got a great stick I. Don't deny dude can hit and he plays a position where hitting. If, you could do it is such premium but shelling out. Two hundred fifty three hundred million dollars for him. I'm. Not. I'm not sold on doing that any any kids injured like you said, and so here I'm going to give some guy some ten year deal for two, hundred, million dollars and I'm GONNA and he's and he's GonNa sit on the I L. Bunch of times. He's just he's always injured. So why would I do that like I'm not I'm not doing that like you know and I know that people are sick and tired of Gary Sanchez in New York. I honestly I will keel over if they go out and I don't see how it's possible that they pay stanton judge everyone that they have on that team like. Today base. They haven't even paid judge yet. That's coming down the pike they haven't even had to pay him yet. But they're like my that's my point. They'RE GONNA have to pay him three hundred million dollars or more. and. That's that's automatic. He's GonNa get three, hundred, twenty, five, three, hundred, fifty, million dollars. He's going to get as much as Machado God I mean he's he's you know. He's I think Machado's incredible. I love him. But I, think judge is a bigger draw and you know that's all still you know one guys in San Diego and I think he's been great with Tad teas and Hosmer and Myers and done a great job for our boy the French Taylor but I gotTa Tell You You can't tell me. He's Aaron Judge when Aaron judge is healthy, you know that one month a year that he's healthy. He tears the cover off the ball and hits these mammoth Gargantuan home runs and it's just automatic. The Guy Hits home runs a every other day that he comes to the plate and we saw what stanton did when he was healthy in the playoffs, the guy hit a bunch of home runs and he looked better than ever and they can't pay all of them. They can't stand three, hundred, fifty, million, Judge Van vity million. GET ROLLED POULTRY Billion to paint Garrett Cole three. Hundred million. Paying. Money. So they just it's impossible. It's impossible for them to be in on those talks and you're coming off a year where normally you know they didn't get to ring in the seventeen dollar beers. At the House of George built this year, they didn't get to ring in the fifty dollar parking. They didn't get all that stuff this year, and that's a big reason why they can pay. Garrett Cole three hundred plus million dollars and Stan is because they make so much money during their eighty-one home game so when they don't have that. It's going to be hard for them to bust open the Piggy Bank here. Do you think that c the one that I were if I were calling and I own the mets, the guy I would want is power. If. You had if you had to grime and Bauer on the in the same rotation and remember to have syndergaard back, right. So imagine that rotation if they had those because I'll tell you what all those other bums they got maths and all the rest of them. Shellman whatever his name. Terrible, they're terrible. Let Mike. bowers. And I'll tell you this much and he also just for our just for our appetite, he would be phenomenal in new. York for the tablets because he's a he's a D. I mean guys is giant the big so. He's a giant D. and you know what's going to happen. He's just a D. in New York media's so vicious and so ridiculous, and so insane that they'll drive him nuts because he's not a pleasant person to deal with to begin with. So if he falls for the trap, the money trap in New York. 'cause that guy. GonNa pay more than anybody. Pay Him more money than any team in baseball and goes there. You'll lose his mind because the media will ruin his life. This there's two things with this. I I think the guy out of those three that if I were the mets and I was going to invest in one guy. For me, it would actually be springer. Springer would be the guy because he center-field leads off he hit. He's young still heads like I think that that is a Connecticut Kid. You know that's the guy that I think that I would invest in if I was going to with one guy but here's the thing that the mets fan is all giddy and I understand it. I don't know if Collin coming in here right away. And just going to go and lay you know nine hundred dollars out on the table and say go get me this guy that guy like he's at the supermarket I think there's a reason why he had to bring Sandy Alderson on and I think that Major League Baseball wanted that because they know that Sandy Alderson is used to pension pennies and that he's going to kind of curb Steve Cohen, at least at the start from. Going on this massive spending spree. So I, don't think the mets are just GonNa would they maybe get one guy? Maybe maybe they're going to go after one of these guys but I don't think there's going to be like a full blown. Supermarket spree with Alderson now back in the mix too. So what do you think of Aj hinch getting the Tigers job? Doesn't. Surprise me I figured he'd get a job. You know the to suspended guys core is going to probably go back to the Red Sox to wouldn't stunned me I, think they're both going to get a job pinch tiger tiger stink. Got A young team. You know that's GonNa be to listen. He must want back in real bed. He just wants to get back at the start managing again. White SOx would have been a better spot for him but REINSDORF wanted Russa, he's going to have a real bad team in Detroit. Yeah I think You know what they were actually this summer than everyone thought they were gonna be. So, there might be something there some growth some. Nice young arms like Boyd. You know they've got they've got some young arms there. Right. So and he's he knows how to manage these excellent achieving he'll. Do. And you know what he is used to managing a young team because before that Astra. Team was good. You know they they were young see. Yeah he taught him. They just has a group that has a whole I guess a unit of the fantastic cheating. And I think he'll do a great job of doing some of those tips all the kids in motorcity Oregon Great. Rowan eventually you every Thursday night we talked to avoid boy Joe Lisi from college football today. He's awesome. We always love having him on the bench right now Fresno state leads Colorado state by touchdown seventeen, ten five and a half minutes left in the second games in Fresno and. I Guess Colorado State's GonNa keep that ball there on the roughing the kicker. So it'll be I down rams. They're down seven Joe, how you doing buddy. Watching this Thursday night action Scotty I'm locked and loaded in going to be up to about two am watching this Colorado State Fresno came. So I gotta see the the final Georgia southern won that game twenty, four, seventeen, I laid five and a half I hit that Game Colorado State is. Think. They were laying one and a half it went to two and a half whatever it is or minus two to something like that and carver high's all over Colorado State is very angry with what he's seeing so far. Well against carver high in this game. So I'll just keep my comments to myself but. What are you doing to me? I mean honestly Joe I mean come on man. Yeah I know you should have listened to you I was I was on with Gaping Campbell you went open these games as we talked about at southern we were on Georgia southern and more on Fresno state I really like Fresno. Stadia just not sold on Stephen Das- yell a lot of attrition with the Wide Receiver leaving the Warren Jackson quarterback issues but we'll see this. You know this could be a fourth quarter game like I said it's going to go down to the wire, but I still like the bulldogs at home catchy supports. I was looking at your. Your best picks for the week. Carver high sent me the Joe Lisi Rollcall, which includes. Three best picks and then the. Two additional games also. Warning people that it's for news and entertainment purposes only. Wanted to say, all of my action is for is for pure gambling reasons and bad intentions. Felonies and nudity. And getting. Getting some leg, that's what I'm into. So all you're being nice not and all this like non. Breaking. The rules and everything I can't have it. But here's your best face. You've got West Virginia minus three and a half over Kansas state that games in Morgantown I kinda like Kansas, state on the road there and then Memphis. Plus six nap over Cincinnati. They're going to the Queen City to play that undefeated Cincinnati team and then Kentucky. Getting fifteen and a half over Georgia that game I believe is in Lexington explain those three West. Virginia there when you Memphis covering over Cincinnati and Kentucky covering the fifteen and a half over Georgia. Yeah I mean it comes down to a couple of factors, the West Virginia Game, let's Virginia's not talk into state four straight games. Now they won twenty four twenty last year and won the last four by nine point seven points per game but you factors jared. Over will Howard show me the front seven of West Virginia only given up one hundred and nine rushing yards brookings out of three point one yards per carry. That's the strength to Kansas State. They want to run the football work off the play action with will Howard I. Think it's a significant drop off than Schuyler Thompson and that rushing attack for West Virginia significantly upgraded with. Letty Brown I think they. Win this game by ten points or more look at the numbers game I like Memphis plus the six and a half I like him on the money line as well. I think they win this came out. Right they defeated Cincinnati Times last year twenty, nine twenty or in the AFC championship game one, five straight against the bearcats by fifteen point two points per game again, the quarterback position. Brady white over. Desmond, Raider and that Defense for Memphis to me is opportunistic. So I think that I get your points is great value and again I, think they win this ball game outright even though he game is on the road I don't put a lot of weight into the Cincinnati no grass a lot of people do as your Amedee sensitive lease, not as good as Memphis and then what Kentucky Joey Gatewood. Gets his stowed over terror. You will see the lines up to seventeen. Georgia. About one Tenth Street over Kentucky. Last. Time Kentucky beat Georgia Two Thousand and nine but Florida's on deck. So I think it's a very vanilla type of game brand for Georgia I. Think it's a low scoring game in the secondary. Kentucky hasn't given up a touchdown pass three games. So I think they're alive dog at home in Lexington. So Fresno just completed like. Thirty or forty yards strike I mean just a beautiful play finding receiver all alone on the sideline guy made a diving catch. Meanwhile Colorado State had him backed up to like the one yard line, but now they're out at just right before midfield. So keep our eyes on that. Yeah. I could see that Kentucky. Number all the way up to seventeen. Now playing in Lexington, they're just giving them. No respect at all the George is going to go in there and and kick their ass. I'm a couple of your other ones. Were the Auburn Game and Virginia Tech you like both of them Auburn. Laying are getting two and a half of from lsu in Virginia Tech, Landry, and Louisville. I laid two and a half I'm where the on those plays. I have to say. You. Don't you don't respect. Cincinnati undefeated and the and the day went down to Dallas and beat us in you know stock and what they've done so far. No I give stock in terms of Cincinnati there were a blue-collar team. It's GONNA come down to if this game plays out which team do I think play from behind number one and which team do I feel has the better defense and the more athletic team that the dictate the tempo of quarterback and I think that's Memphis L. I think for Cincinnati to win this game and cover this game everything needs to go right. They need to jump up by fourteen points, run the football, keep radi white on the sidelines I. Think it happens I think Memphis, starts fast tries to push tempo on Cincinnati and get them into a high scoring game. SMU couldn't do it because they didn't have the type of personnel memphis thoughts they can create mismatches with their tight and Sean dyche Brady white to me is the best quarterback in the conference I. Know We talked about Boo Shell but to me, it's brady white he makes solid decisions doesn't turn the football over either. So. Let's talk about What year reaction is to the Trevor Lawrence news tonight and they're basically lining it up. That is testy failed on Wednesday so he'll be cleared. A week from tomorrow, which would be Friday, the sixth of November and then Saturday. The seventh they play the fighting Irish in south bend so it sounds to me like you'll be able to play that day unless yes, complications over the next nine days. Yeah. That's that's supposedly what I just heard I mean prior to that. It was like you know if he has the positive tonight, he wouldn't be cleared until the eight. So that's going GonNa be that's going to be the concern obviously piece cleared to play You know by the six I don't think it's a problem now and again I don't think it'll affect him. He'll still breakdown coverage you'll great down Defenses Watch Notre Dame play Georgia, tech that. They just absolutely demolished and be your tough task. I mean Jacoby. It's going to be you know a solid quarterback and they'll challenge that defense over the top but offense align issues for Boston College might actually get better value would trevor. Lawrence, not playing they probably gonNA run the football with et n I, mean this line I haven't looked where it is right now but anything under twenty points I'd be looking into take clemson over BBC in this matchup. I'm seeing twenty four but I originally I got it at. Thirty one and a hook they were getting thirty one hook from. Clemson and it's obviously if that's accurate moving right now down to twenty four, how do you think the five star phenom freshman will do for Clemson in Chestnut Hill and the you know cold the rain leaves the wind no problem there for the kid. I again I mean you know when you look at this match up traditionally Boston College played them very top in recent years got were scoring games I think it just comes down to the interior line and that's been a big concern four Clemson, not clemson excuse me Boston College in terms of their offense align. It's good as Jakobvic is been, they really worn down against bigger physical defensive fronts and you go back to that Pittsburgh game where Pittsburgh stack him six times it. This is gonna be different Animal Clemson. So I think it's a up and our type of game brand they looked utilized short intermediate throws but the game is GonNa really revolve on the offensive line and rushing attack Travis UPN and I don't think this fogging is even close in the first half be runs on them jumps up by maybe twenty one and then just maintains that leads straight through the fourth quarter and Wednesday and anywhere from thirty one to thirty four in in the second hand. So I. Imagine this kid. I I remember Joe Jacobi he was a kid I think that was his name. He played it Akron zips. He played college basketball is a white boy and I went to see this kid by back in the whatever I think it was in the eighties. When I was in Indiana I saw this kid play and he was dropping for like thirty five, forty a game at Akron zips back in a day and this guy I mean that's fill it up looking out Joe Jacobi was his name Oh. My God this guy play basketball he was a great score. So how do you think Notre Dame will do Against Georgia tech like Clemson beat him to death. Yet. Yeah. I think it'll be a you know again, a the know what type of Game Plan Georgia tech has a chance to cover this game I. Really do I think they get into a lower scoring game not sold on the wideouts four Notre Dame the way clemson had him Armani, Rogers, and I think they can go. With? The might not might run this ball game fourteen to seventeen points. But I'm I'm looking at Georgia Tech took him plus twenty and a half looking to take them from an engagement perspective as well. You always bet on this Georgia tech team, I mean. It stuns me because I glimpse in that day and they beat them like a rented mule and I don't see what you see in them because I think they suck. You record y you're right I mean they were the worst the AC. You're getting better the fouls. Nice Joe I will come back with Joe Lisi and. And we'll talk about all the rest of the college, Football Games, and gamble heavily. Follow us iheartradio clock and stay in touch twenty, four, seven, a special news update station you control. Joe Lisi about all the college football games this weekend by the way a Fresno touchdown they moved down the field on Colorado state as if they weren't even on the field they literally it was like. Colorado state was on the sideline and they gave him the monster here on this drive alone they started inside their five they converted a third and seventeen and a third one, thousand, nine, hundred, nineteen, two of those you let that happen on the same drive third and seventeen and thirty, nine, hundred on that same drive you allow that to happen awful job by the Ram I don't even know what a there wasn't one play didn't work every single past the guy through was completed the game to fifteen yards. I mean Colorado state sucks so bad like I even said that today that. I was on coast to coast and I said I saw Jesus wants in Fort Collins Smoking a joy and. They, suck. In sports I don't care if anybody says like Jeremy and Fort, Collins Loud and clear your program socks and everything football basketball you name it and there's not even good looking chicks there. No That's that's a killer. That's a killer Joe we got it. Detroit factor. Obviously. That's horrible. That's horse. I've stayed there I've been there before to Fort Collins I partied there. Some bad things Joe, it's eighty and they have a great home field. I mean they're stadiums. Nice. But Yeah. I heard the wind come right out of his sails when. When you said, they scored again. You know I heard it. Yeah it. Took the wind coming out of Flamy I mean honestly. Can You? Can you blame me here Kai? It'll be. Awful they're awful and then last week they were getting bent over by Hawaii now they like they're ready to play Clemson tomorrow It's unbelievable Michigan State and Michigan in the Big House Joe Michigan's landscape born I got it at twenty five and a half. When is the last time seriously that either team in this game blue anybody out. Yeah I mean, that's that's a great point sky I mean it is a rivalry game and Michigan won a couple of years ago twenty one to seven. They covered that number I believe it was seven and a half almost eat got up to eat in that matchup but it's a rivalry game and I know after losing rutgers a lot of money's coming in on Michigan granted they're the better team entering to with Joe Milton I was. On Michigan last week. But I'm GonNa take the twenty five and a half. It's a rivalry game also like Michigan state plus thirteen and a half in the first half I mean, that's what I expect them downs back in a big way get them into an regain especially in the first half making it third fourth quarter game. They can run the football and short drives. I think Michigan State has an opportunity to at least cover this number. Yeah a by the way I just like giving updates Colorado state's quarterback just threw a perfect dime on a bomb to the receiver Scott Junior right in his hands and he dropped it nice job kid. Call your mom after the game tell you. Lover. Draw Bro Honestly your. Girlfriend the guy's girlfriend just was spot going to the other side in the stadium and started talking to a guy with a five o'clock shadow. There, but she's looking like she's done with Mr Steele. And then he let me gets hurt that's the. If you'RE GONNA short arm, go right back to the huddle. He gets hurt he walks off the field. You can't do that. You can't do that. That's horrible. Very definitely. Iowa state and Kansas is in Lawrence I was states laying twenty eight and a half. When is the last time Iowa State beat anyone by twenty nine points in the history of their program like before Christ. Scotty, you you know I'm putting out pick on college football today, close your eyes and take Kansas close your eyes don't watch the game I don't know how they do it but coming off the emotional loss to Oklahoma state the way they lost that ballgame West regifter entitled fourteen. There's really not allowed to play for in terms of the big twelve title. A lot is come out of their sales, two losses on the year, and this is a team that plays down to the level of competition they lose out right to. Yet last year in late forty. Two, drake, and barely won that game. So I'm I'm taking Kansas coming off the rivalry lost the case I know no Poku Williams Gimme the Jayhawks plus the twenty eight and a half points in this match up. Yeah but I this is unbelievable. They're so awful. Kansas. So awful I duNNo. Tempt, let's see. I. Just wanted to do some of these games. Some of these games, these smaller games do you like that fa you game in Boca that they can handle fiving in Texas San Antonio, you end of those types of games. Yeah I mean I I watched them I mean I'll maybe from an gain perspective but I mean you know looking at that matchup overall I mean I would take fau in that matchup exist stronger team entering this ball game can run the football more effectively. So our back Fau early on in that matchup. against. UTSA. To Lane and templeton lanes land for I got it at two and a half when it opened. July to the wave at home against temple after all that bad weather they had down there. They had Zeta ripped through there. What did they get battered again in Louisiana? Yeah they did and and you know how a lot of friends down in the by you over there. So hope- hopefully there are right couples quarterback supposedly enter the Rousseau. Is Alpha this ballgame so too late now is the favourite in this matchup I like the Green. Wave. Go with the freshman quarterback I mean you know inexperienced quarterback position but for me, they can run the football. I liked their defensive from I. Know They haven't played well this year consistently but I like Willie Fritz and I like this team at home I'm going to the would with with the chewing against temple here just not sold on on that offense for temple more importantly the defense overall alison to this matchup. So, purdue, I hit last week would that game against Iowa in West Lafayette? They didn't have Brahm and they still won the game outright now they're going to Champaign Urbana their land seven to Illinois. I wouldn't be surprised. They screw this up. I got Illinois at seven and a half purdue middled it. What did you think of them winning last week and do you give any chance of backing it up with a win on the road? Yeah. I. Mean. You know in this type of atmosphere against purdue they can cover this type of balking now Rondell more supposedly back for doing this matchup. So that should help their offense in terms of WHO's obviously having another explosive playmaker the problem with Eleanor He is if they can run the football, they don't have a shot You know if the game falls on Brandon Peters, it's lights out and it's over so you to give the ESTA purdue Taffy and said I would take the seven points in this match up I'm just not sold on perdue being in the League team. Announced back, get it into a lower scoring game. So I would take the. Plus the seven points in this match up. So. LSU and Auburn. You gave me Auburn and that one with the two and a half right and then how about northwestern Iowa in Iowa city northwestern opened with a bang. Iowa. Loses in West. Lafayette. You like the hawkeyes connect at home. Yeah I do I like them to bounce back in a bigger way to rivalry game northwestern traditionally, he's been very tough and they stepped up and dominated Maryland going on the road. In this matchup I would still leave the small number with Iowa in this balking. Texas and Oklahoma State's going to a great game in the big twelve in stillwater of Loma stately in three and a half. Yeah Oklahoma's being one four, the last five, Texas one, thirty, six to thirty last year. I. Picked almost eight to win the big twelve. So I mean this is a great position for them they line scares me but I'm still GonNa lay it is I'm not sold on taxes even though I vacuum last week they almost blew that game against Taylor after jumping out twenty seven to three this team can hold the lead to me there too inconsistent even on the Road Camac Sam during the crew GimMe GimMe Oklahoma state I think to the best complete team in the big twelve this you're. All Mrs. That Vandy and Smash Ville can all miss handle that much would sixteen in Hook. Hey can I mean I? Just don't think James. The offense or weapons to go toe to toe with their mind, they covered some games early on I would lay the word. This is the game that you know. Lean kiffin wants to win needs to win, and after these heartbreaking loss of in recent weeks give me Oh mess I think they throttle them I. think he looks to put a fifty spot up on Dander bill early and often I think they cover this number fail the easy against the commodores Mississippi state getting thirty and a hug from Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Yeah, you know a lot of attrition P., E. Lee choosing guys left and white right in Thailand Hill might play running back right out as well. I don't think it matters though you know I'm still gonNA take thirty one and a half I like this city states plus to seventeen and a half first half without Jalen Waddell, and again you Alabama struggle with these types of offenses I know they haven't played well but I think they could put some points on Alabama and covered restarting their only number. Ohio state and Penn State no white out there just playing and miserable valley and Penn. State's getting twelve and a half from the buckeyes. Yeah typically, I'd be I'd be taking the underdog twenty, six or two at home under James Franklin since two thousand and sixteen. But this game comes down to Sean Clifford not sold on him. Go back to that game. Last year will be this came in and let that team on the on the comeback for seventeen points. I think it's a blowout special I know. Ohio. States won the last three by four point three points per game journey. Brown Novacaine I Irish Ohio state roles I think they beat them by twenty one points in this match up catching only twelve and a half. It was if it was over seventeen maybe but eleven and a half twelve and a half, and that area under two touchdowns give me all I ever stay. I Arkansas and Anna Mikhail field and emsland. Twelve Arkansas has been pretty tough games lately. Yeah, they have an an Texas saying amas one, each straight three, these games though have gone to overtime. So traditionally Arkansas. Played them very tough loss thirty one to twenty seven line open up the tenant appetite for twelve and a half but I think there's a bad match up for Arkansas take aim coverage this number fairly easy I. Think they're the better team entering week number nine year I would lay it. and Missouri's playing in the swamp and they're getting twelve and a half from the GATORS who've idle with all their Cova D-. Problems, do you think the Tigers can hang with them? They Karen typically I mean they they played pretty well one here a couple years ago on homecoming as a five and a half point underdog withdrew lock. But I think there's a tough match up with the freshman quarterback plays I think it's very tough and even though they've had long off Jimi Florida on that for for Georgia, they need to steamroll Missouri to get ready for for Georgia match. North Carolina Land Seven at a Virginia. I would take the points rivalry game. This game went down to the wire last week last year excuse me Virginia Mimi, money all year. Long Virginia plus the short number against him. How on the crew. I real like Oklahoma and Texas tech in Lubbock and sooners lane fourteen. Huck. I would take the points where Texas tech in this matchup Caesar. In. San. Diego State Utah State were in San Diego on Mightier ten ninety gotta give the aspects some love their land seven and a hook on the road and Logan Against Utah State. Yeah I don't love the game I. Lean to San. Diego. State a little bit I like the over actually in the match up. I. Put Up. I felt great stuff college football. Today's a bad ass show. Tonight you've got IAN and nobody. All right. So nobody there was some pretty big news today in the world of news. Normally the news about the news. But in this case, the news is about the news and I'm talking metronews. I'm talking about the resignation of one of arguably the most important journalists in the last decade Glenn. Greenwald. WHO Do you know. A Yeah Grin Glenn Greenwald I know I definitely know his name? Yeah. So that's the guy who was basically the the main guy behind getting. Edward. SNOWDEN story out publicly. Okay. At the time he was working for the Guardian over in the UK he then left the Guardian in order to join the intercept which he actually helped co found since that time in two thousand thirteen, the intercept has been doing some pretty useful journalism we've reported on their writings here in the past on Free Talk Live and their award winning. Unfortunately, as it turns out, they're also very political and Greenwald has now resigned in his publicly speaking about exactly why that's happened. So yeah, and and for anybody that cares about the state of journalism then you're definitely gonNA WANNA. Hear this I mean it's probably not gonNA be anything that's too surprising but it's confirmation of what it's really like to work in a highly politically biased newsroom. So this is from Glenn Greenwald posting to a new website which I have not seen prior to this called sub stack dot com sub. K. Green won the sub domain. So it's greenwald dot sub stack dot com, and this is his for his first post here, but it may be. So. It's called the my resignation from the intercept the same trends of repression censorship and ideological homogeneous. Homage in Honolulu. Any. A modernity. Just in case. The the intercept here. Anyway homogeneous. Imagine. In the eighty. That's a tough one. Wow I usually say. Not Coming to me. Plagued the national press generally having Gulf, the media outlet I co-founded culminating in censorship of my own articles. Can you imagine how frustrating that's gotta be to have the website, the company that you created? Turn against you like this. He says today I sent my intention to resign from the intercept the news out that I co founded in two thousand, thirteen with Jeremy Scahill Laura Poitras, as well as from its parent company First Look Media The final precipitating cause is that the intercepts editors in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom. So he had an agreement with these people. Censored an article I wrote this week refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of democratic, presidential candidate Joe Biden. Wow, the candidate who has vehemently supported by all of the new york-based intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression. Well, how can you criticize Joe Biden and he is he is the greatest senile child molester who is ever running for President Yeah. The censored article based on re recently revealed emails and witness testimony raised critical questions about Biden's conduct not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded. These intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication. So they intercepted him on the way to the market while they were trying to. He's going to do it anyway obviously as he will say here later. So I'm not actually seen that article yet this is just his article prefacing. The actual news piece about Joe Biden. Now he's he himself has become news. Greenwald did not kill himself. I had no objection. He says to their disagreement with my views of what this Biden evidence shows as a last ditch attempt to avoid being censored, I encourage them to air their disagreements with me by writing their own articles. What newspapers used to do this Magsaysay's do this point counterpoint. They have different opinions alongside one another and let their readers make the determination. Yeah. It's not good enough fervor for leftist to to speak out against to you though they have to silence you and that's what he's been fee experiencing he. So he said, right your articles critique, my perspective let readers decide who's right the way any confident and healthy media outlet would but modern media outlets do not air descent they wash it. So censorship of my article rather than engagement with it was the path, these Biden supporting editors chose. The censored article will be published on this page in his new website is Greenwald dot? Substitute. Dot. com. Shortly he says. And it looks like it looks like he has indeed now published the that article. He says my letter of intent to resign which I sent this morning. I look media's Michael Bloom President Michel Bloom published below as of now I'll be publishing my journalism here on sub stack where numerous other journalists including my good friend the great intrepid reporter Matt Taibbi have come in order to practice journalism free of the increasingly repressive climate that is engulfing national mainstream media outlets across the country. He says, this was not an easy choice. I'm voluntarily sacrificing the support of a large institution and guaranteed salary in exchange for nothing other than a belief that there are enough people who believe in the virtues of independent journalism and the need for free discourse will be willing to support my work by subscribing. So. This is. Probably something you're going to see more of more journalists who hopefully are like real journalists who don't want to have their words suppressed by the publications that they work for stepping out and taking this this risk because it is. A scary thing to leave the corporate fold right? If you've never done your own thing before. To be able to get out there and do your thing with no restrictions. But also guarantees. That's kind of a it's a it's a scary cliff to walk off of you know sounds like freedom it is it is restrictions no guarantees Yup and he's willing to make that choice as he points out it was not easy. Like anyone with young children, a family and numerous obligations. I do this with some trepidation but also with the conviction that there is no other choice, I could not sleep at night knowing that I allowed any institution to censor what I want to say and believe list of all media outlet I co-founded with the explicit goal of ensuring this never happens to other journalists. Let alone to me let alone because I have written articles. Of A powerful democratic politician vehemently supported by the editors of the imminent national era rather in the imminent national election. Wow. And there's there's more to this but you know Kudos to him for having the courage to to make this move and to come out publicly about this and just so sad and and so common for for individuals who have created a thing. And then they turn this thing over to a board of directors and they completely lose control of of the thing that they created and it turns. To the. opposite. Of the creators original intentions that's what's happened here and it didn't even take a decade. This website was founded in two thousand thirteen. Wow. He says, but the pathologies liberalism and repressive mentality that led the bizarre. of My being censored by my own media outlet are ones that are by no means unique to intercept. These are the viruses that have contaminated virtually every mainstream center left political organization academic, institution and Newsroom I began writing about politics fifteen years ago with the goal of combating media propaganda and repression, and regardless of the risks involved simply cannot accept any situation no matter how secure or lucrative that forces me to submit my journalism and right of free expression to its suffocating constraints and dogmatic diktats. If you if you want to comment on this, maybe you're in journalism and you've had experience are you in journalism? Well, kind of this isn't journalism isn't now this is opinion. But isn't all journalism opinion days it seems to have become that, but there was this sort of. Day of journalism where the journalists held their opinion and gave multiple sides in their article. Which is hard to find those these days. Can you not have an opinion without being an idiot more coming up here moments? We're talking about the state of journalism, which is pretty dismal. Glenn Greenwald resigning publicly from the website he co-founded. With the idea that it would be the website the intercept in this case would be a safe place for journalists to publish without being censored but turns out they were censoring his own articles. Oh. Yeah. So DNA nobody here in the studio tonight, we're actually going to go to your phone calls and thoughts here as well but I do want to say thanks to the. If you think freedom is important to checkout enter coin at Inter Coin Dot Org, you can invest in this project in potentially make big gains or just be involved and perhaps shape its future inter coin dot or we go to your phone calls and thoughts Larry an Indiana, you're on free talk live go ahead Larry. Larry. In Indiana. Larry going once a low. Larry going twice maybe some sort of difficulty over at our network. So we'll put Larry Back on hold and maybe we'll get back to. The board check on the buttons make sure everything is pressed in where it needs to be pressed in hello and then we will try Larry back unless he's in a bad cell. So let's continue here with Glenn Greenwald, who's WHO's taken that big step into the journey of doing your own thing in life and not having to ask anybody's permission to publish That's what he says he's been that that he's doing now after he's resigned from his website that he created the intercept which has been around since twenty thirteen shortly after. Glenn Greenwald made big headlines by releasing publicly the Edward Snowden files information. It sounds the from the name of this place. It's that he's now broadcasting or writing from its. Do they have a new business model or a unique business model. How does that working I I have not looked at the actual. Main page for stack yet, but I presume that his business model is going to be. Right stories and accept. Donations. But I'll that said though I don't see an obvious donate button on here this point. So there's a subscribe button. So you could follow, you can type in your email and you can subscribe, and then presumably you'll get emailed updates whenever he publishes a new story So you're following the person is directly as possible. I mean presuming the sub stack website doesn't blow him out the door or something like that. Is it. Is it a website? is He using their technical infrastructure or is he using their own because it's when you say Greenwald Dot sub stack dot COM dot com. Of course there's an infinite number of places you can be at sub stack dot com. So I, just went to the site. Wonder what? So I just went to ask. It says it is a place for independent writing start a newsletter bill your community make money from subscriptions publishing is free with no limits. We only make money when you do. Okay. So the the site takes cut. For the hosting and and you know. What the charges here or what but so in theory they should in general be. Be Neutral. So long as their slow out in somebody's reading you. That's it leads their business right inclination or incentivisation sounds like. All right. So I I've gone a little deeper here nobody and when you hit when you type in your email and you hit subscribe you're not actually subscribed immediately you are then given a subscription plan And you can choose fifty bucks a year. You can choose five dollars a month or a founding member of one hundred fifty dollars per year. Or. You can choose none and then you only get whatever public posts the person makes interesting. So that. Yeah. That is interesting. It interests me because I would love to. Make my money delivering information one way or the other. But I've never found a way to make that work economically obviously you have. But it took years. It did. Yeah it's it. We worked for a very long time. Yeah. But what I would recommend maybe nobody's to go to sub stacked dot com and see what their options are because it could be. A dollar a week what the heck play it could be that Greenwald is setting the rates. So it may not be that the site has determined like it's the reader is setting the right because you can give you know what I mean is the reader gets to choose between the options but I I'm guessing that Greenwald gets to set what options are. So there's your annual price there's a monthly price there's a founding member price and I mean they're all arbitrary. So I'm guessing that the other journalists on this site and there are several of them. have different different deals. That's interesting. So anyway, let's get back to it here. Larry is actually supposedly here. Now Larry Are you with us I'm back now we have you research program but. The Model Stadium emerged help as act on page twenty nine. We're talking about journalism And the just absolutely embarrassing. State of that world. Looking specifically at what Glenn Greenwald is having to say the story he's telling about himself in this case normally reports on other people like Edward Snowden, which is where he really made a lot of press earlier in the last decade around twenty thirteen when that story came out, he moved to his own website or what he thought. was his own website aside that he founded he cofounded. The idea of. It allowing its journalists to express themselves. And not be censor. See this is why my church is not incorporated because if you incorporate your board of directors, the Board of directors can betray you absolutely and it's happened time and time and time again and I've seen it happen it's the nature of the corporate form Well. Yeah. The the nature of the corporate form is to obey the state number one. Rations are creatures of the state. Is. Literally, the mother of all corporation right. Then of course, the state itself is a corporation and it's the corporation with a license to kill the corporation answers only to itself. By the way freedoms. PHOENIX DOT COM, FREEDOMS PHOENIX DOT COM. So we're going to continue here with more from Glenn Greenwald this a lengthy piece I'm going to skip a little bit of it. And get back to his critique here has Guinea pointed out the intercept the website he just resigned from he's now over on his own. Page at. Greenwald. DOT SUB STACK DOT COM and allows people to subscribe directly to his post presumably without interference from the website operator. So. He says, the current iteration of the intercept is completely unrecognizable when compared to the original version. Or the original vision. He says rather than offering a venue for airing descent marginalized voices and unheard perspectives. It is rapidly becoming just another media outlet with mandated ideological and partisan loyalties, a rigid and narrow range of permitted viewpoints ranging from establishment liberalism too soft, let leftism but always anchored in ultimate support for the Democratic Party, a deep fear of offending demonic cultural liberalism and center-left twitter luminaries. Did he say demonic hegemonic hegemonic and overarching need to secure the approval and admiration of the very mainstream media outlets that we created the intercept to oppose critiquing subvert. As a result it's a rare event indeed when a radical freelance voice unwelcome in mainstream precincts is published in the intercept outside reporters are writers with no claim to mainstream acceptability exactly the people we set out to amplify. Have almost no chance of being published in Soviet America the system subverts you'll. It's even rarer for the intercept interceptor publish content that would not fit very comfortably in at least a dozen or more center left publications of similar size, which predated its founding from mother, Jones Vox or even MSNBC. Kerr and by the way Greenwald himself from what I understand. He's not like a right winger or anything like that. Well, yeah. He's always struck me as laugh now he's like he's a gay guy and he's seemed to always have a lefty tinge to him but because he's not telling the line he's out where the line is getting the band let's say is getting closer and closer to being a line every day it seems the things that you're allowed to believe have been limited getting more and more limited every year if you think of how the hippy movement started. It started with the students for a democratic society and you know what their big issue was. Free speech at Berkeley they were protesting in Berkeley for free speech. That's how the whole thing started and how the mighty have fallen. Let's go. We'll continue with Glenn Greenwald in a moment here but Richard is on the line in California you're on free talk live with Ian and nobody. I guess. I'm just wondering what you guys think of Dash. Right now it's been like sixty six dollars. kind of low right now, it's been more or less around here for the last week or two I don't know how you guys are feeling about dash nowadays just curious but I think that it's more instructive to look at the price of crypto currencies in relation to the bitcoin price. So if you actually compare dash to the price of Bitcoin, it has taken a huge fall over the last few years. It has gone from I. Bought I remember it was twenty seventeen. When bitcoin was I having it's big run-up. People. Remember toward the end of two thousand, seventeen bitcoin went up to its peak. It hit around nineteen thousand dollars per bitcoin at that time, and at that same time we saw bitcoin doing the same thing as it's doing now, which is the fees on the bitcoin network are shooting up. Medically they have to on bitcoin itself well, right because they haven't fixed bitcoin to make it so it can scale. And they haven't changed it in three years. So the same thing is happening now, but what happened in two thousand seventeen was there is a big rush into it or call the coin. So competitors like dash or bitcoin cash. People started to move their money from bitcoin into these ALZ and it pushed those things up quite a bit. So I remember buying dash when it was five percent of the bitcoin when one dash was worth five percent of Bitcoin. Now it's worth point five percent. So it's gone down by a factor of ten when you compare Bitcoin I've taken a beating. On Dash. But then again, I'm still holding the dash in the hopes that maybe it'll. It'll come back someday but manages seems to be swirling down down down. See I think has to because at one time nobody knew about any of these things. And then all of a sudden. Everybody knew about bitcoin and nobody knew about every anything else and now the. But as you find out about bitcoin sooner or later, you're going to be exposed to all coins and the reality is bitcoin cannot scale enough to I to be the only conduit for transmission of money. But none of the other coins can scale enough to be the only conduit for the transition of money. So I believe that what's going to end up happening is that the sum? Of all. Of all cryptocurrencies will expand enough to handle all traffic Because as long as more of them are needed, more of them will be created but the question is will dash be one of those ones that can make a comeback I mean it has been in in the topped. RANKED COINS DASH has been in the top ten. In fact, it has at one time been number I believe number five. If I recall correctly, there was a time when dash was riding high and man, it's just been taking a beating compared to to the bitcoin price recently I mean, ultimately, the model behind dash is theoretically good to have a crypto currency. That focuses on real life usage I think is an important idea. But of course we've seen in real life. It's tremendously difficult to get people who even are into crypto currency to actually WANNA spend it. Now Dashes had I would say which does not decrease this value that shows that they place value I want to hold iron. So spending spending cryptocurrency is it's Too to some extent, if you have other things that you can spend, it's it's almost taking a position contrary to what you actually believe to spend it, and that's why no not really I mean you have to you have to understand that spending it is why it's worth something right? Like because it's useful if it weren't useful at spending than it wouldn't be something would wanna hold onto but then again it's it's weird. It's like a catch twenty two. What do you think Richard? Well I know you guys have used it in New Hampshire quite used. Oh. I did my roommate twenty. Bucks? Today. I don't know. I just have a I have some dash though I mean I'm hoping that it goes up to a million dollars you know what I'm saying like. Optimistic. bitcoin itself isn't anywhere near a million dollars, but there was a time in two thousand seventeen when dash peaked out at around one thousand dollars per dash. But again, looking at it in the price of Bitcoin is I think more useful than looking at it at the dollar price because right now it's a tenth of what it was. Three years ago compared bitcoin. What's the dollar though compared to what it was three years ago? That's a good question. Yeah. That's a tough one to measure but it certainly not it's certainly not try to measure water certainly not gone up in value Richard. It's Ian Nobody, we're GONNA continue with more on Glenn Greenwald's resignation from the intercept and the story that he's telling about the abject failure of the website that he founded to protect journalistic integrity. And to not censor, it's writers turns out they were trying to censor Glenn Greenwald himself, who was one of the founders of the site will tell you more about that. But our last caller brought up an interesting question nobody and I think it deserves a little further discussion because there's actually something that I had in the news, some crypto currency related news here including that unconfirmed transactions on the bitcoin network are at their highest level since two thousand seventeen. So what does that mean to say that unconfirmed transactions are at their highest level? It means that there is a big pile of. Transactions thing we call the meme pool and that there are there is an. Insufficient amount of processing power or will or something to get them all really it's the processing power in the brains of the developers. Yes was fell short and it fell short three years ago and it's never caught up the processing power on the bitcoin network is immense. There's a ton of minors out there with a lot of computing power that are just slamming at this blockchain and verifying transactions and keeping it secure. But the problem is the programmers have kept this completely arbitrary limit on the size of what they call the blocks and these are the the data that is going into the blockchain. Roughly every ten minutes one of these blocks is is found by the miners. Mined onto. The blockchain and that makes those transactions that have been waiting in the men pull that you described permanent. They're now on the the blockchain that can never be reversed at that point. And so it seems like the best known name in anything is doomed to be crap. Now and That seems to be because you know no matter no matter what it is. Eventually it it sells out when the when the Bitcoin name became that big and it was worth in infinite amount of money. Well, what happened you came up with a bunch of people who moved onto that blockchain invested a vast amount of money and end, and it started making bad technical decisions clearly bad technical decisions, technical decisions so bad that they appear to have been an attempt to kill the coin and that's something that has been happening to technical projects for a long time we call it embrace, extend, and destroy. That's been done to a lot. So I think what happened is that the people who owned a bitcoin knowingly or unknowingly sold out to the same people who run the dollar and those people have been doing their best to sabotage it I think that that's a completely legitimate theory and I think it's actually backed up by some evidence. What else would they do? They're not going to go soft to the end of that now. They're GONNA buy it. Try to buy it on like everything else but you can't buy off an idea because people will abandon ship and go else. Well that's the good news here is that Bitcoin was a an is an open source project when the not Komodo the Creator we still don't know who that person or persons is but Wednesday Toshi Nakamoto released this code to the world it could be copied by anybody who had the the wherewithal the programming chops to copy and re compile and and release this other thing and so we've seen thousands of competitors spring up but you're right the programmers had fixed obvious bug that has been sitting there and Plaguing their blockchain for years, and it's called the block size, and this is what caused the bitcoin cash schism back in two thousand seventeen when bitcoin had its first split or schism with the first time ever it split into two different competing blockchain's one called bitcoin cash, the other call Bitcoin, and at that time bitcoin cash I think raised its block from one to eight megabytes. Incense has raised it I believe thirty two. If I recall correctly Bitcoin as V went even further to like gigabyte or whatever. But one megabyte is nowhere near enough for all of these transactions. So as a result, there's a huge backlog of transactions of that. Sorry because of that. Over the last few days the prices of the transactions has been going absolutely insane I. Mean I thought it was bad at two dollars per transaction just today I paid just under nine dollars for bitcoin transaction and that wasn't even the next block I said you can get into the second. So I if I had gone for the first block, it probably would've been like thirteen bucks. Oh, you see that's the thing that is not survivable. Thing is they say it's going to be a store of value. That's not how any of this works. You can't be a store of value if you don't have value to store and guess what Bitcoin isn't worth. BITCOIN isn't. A one one thousand. One bitcoin is not worth a thousand transactions year now, and in the end, what you're going to pay for Bitcoin is a transaction fees on bitcoin itself. That's the thing that all bitcoin will be used for again and again and again, and it can't be worth more than that up thing cannot be more valuable than itself. And so the reality is, and yet we have seen this insistence in the media they say bitcoin now but they don't say anything else they never talk about. Coins. They don't want to talk about all coins because the. Coin is all coins is there is. Theoretically an infinite number of them so they can't buy and destroy them all and as soon as their stops being a bitcoin as soon as. As soon as bitcoin dominance ceases to be a thing and what we see is just a sea of outgoing we're GONNA see. A collapse in the price of Bitcoin. and. That's one of the things that happened you mentioned bitcoin dominance back in January of or not January. But in the year two, thousand seventeen, we saw the bitcoin dominance from his high as eighty five percent meaning that the that bitcoin it's market cap was eighty five percent of the total market cap of all recognized crypto currencies. At that time, it fell from that high to as low as looks like about thirty two percents there was a tremendous rush from bitcoin. Sixty now, it's like sixty, four, sixty, five percent. Thing is the only thing that bitcoin. That, any other crypto currency doesn't have first mover advantage network effect, a first mover advantage network effect and buzz media. where it is media buzz come from it comes from the same people that Glenn Greenwald running away from. That's right. You know. So if JP Morgan wants in then and they use you want out That's a good point. That said I'm still going to hold on for the ride when it comes to bitcoin because it's still could be a ways up before it. I'm going to hold onto crypto but what has I mean for the last year what have the all coins been doing you said it yourself the big dominance is falling not mean much I mean just a little bit. It has fallen a little bit over the years. So at the beginning of this year, it was at about maybe sixty eight percent and today it is just above sixty one percent helped me this. Do you think sixty eight percent of the people who use crypto going to pay for their morning coffee with a Koyanagi charges them. There's there's no room left in that black is no room for growth I agree with you. Out that's that's what the news this and that means that rationally it's market cap. Correct. Marketing always fashionable in initially right. It takes time for people to exactly and that's what I'm saying is over time, and this is where the market is going and when you when when. Bitcoin costs enough bitcoin that you can only do a thousand transactions with a full coin and that's what it at at fifteen dollars in. Fifteen dollar transaction fees and fifteen thousand dollars per coin. That means that one coin is worth. One thousand transactions how many bitcoin cash transactions can do for one bitcoin cash of them So that's that's what it is this all up all that this is a currency that's back its own UTA keep. We can keep this going, but there's more coming up in our to this talk live remember when you first heard about bitcoin. How long did it take you to realize this little project would soon change the world to you. Kind of wish you had gotten involved sooner. Well, now's your chance to be part of the next revolution in money. inter-korean is working to finally make crypto go mainstream. It's designed to be scalable enough to support payments and even elections without the state. Bitcoin was originally supposed to appear to peer cash system. The way we would pay one another without having to trust any third party. We started out talking about the integrity or the lack thereof of the journalism business and now ended up talking because there's more to say about that. But then somebody called in about dash as a which crypto currency lead to a larger conversation about the integrity or lack thereof in in Bitcoin in the programmers there that have absolute ab absolutely failed to keep their coin up with the Times up with demand and as a result of that, we're now seeing according to. Believe Coin Telegraph Dot. com. The the highest level of unconfirmed transactions on the BITCOIN network sense 2017. Now to some extent that does show that Bitcoin is getting more popular again but unfortunately, not able to handle the transactions which means fees are shooting up as I mentioned is I spent over nine dollars today to i. think it was maybe it's close to nine dollars, but anyway I could. Have spent more, but I didn't go with the fastest transaction time I went with the second fastest and and if I'd done twenty five blocks instead of two which would have taken you know twelve times longer or could've taken twelve times longer. It wouldn't have been much cheaper would have only been like seven or something like that but if not used bitcoin cash. Would have better. What less than a penny if you only maybe two cents or less than a penny. If you've used any. Currency is there anything as theory also easily other one which is? Now, they're trying to fix them that high. They're supposed to be coming out with a theory of two point Oh. So maybe that'll solve their problem I. Don't know enough about it I can't speak to it. Yeah but of course, there's no economic reason to buy ethereal two point Oh until it exists church being in the theory of now doesn't give you a better position to get a cerium two point. Oh, down the line, and that's the thing is all of this will be commodified year now. Transactions will be commodified and when it's commodities, you know. When it's commodity when it's a real commodity, it is I, it is undifferentiated. It is. Is. Some it falls to. It's true value. And the. The true value of making a transaction is very, very high. Nobody wants to send more than a dollar descend one hundred. So I just want to give you the numbers here nobody in case you haven't heard them according to Coin Telegraph the bitcoin network has slowed down amid the new price highs causing a large number of unconfirmed transactions according to the men pool transaction count available at Blockchain Dot Com they've been charting this for years. The number of unconfirmed bitcoin transaction surpassed one, hundred, thousand on October twenty seventh. In fact, if you look at the chart, it actually peaked up to one hundred and forty thousand within the last few days. This is the highest number of unconfirmed bitcoin transactions recorded since late two, thousand, seventeen when bitcoin hit twenty thousand dollars. Now, of course, it's over thirteen thousand dollars I believe per bitcoin today last time I checked. Let's see at thirteen thousand four, hundred twenty dollars roughly right now. The all time. High of unconfirmed bitcoin transactions was recorded in early December of two thousand, seventeen accounting for about one hundred and eighty thousand transactions according to data from blockchain dot com. So it's just scraping that right now but a lot of us myself included have stayed in Bitcoin up until this point leak because even though in my case I knew it was irrational I've known it was a rational sense of priority sixteen. Yeah. The price of Bitcoin in terms of other cryptocurrencies is completely irrational. I've now pulled I've now pulled by pulled bitcoin down to. Five percent of my holdings interest. Church you mean. Yes and I'm. and. I've we've got faith in the market so we're going to eventually divest all of our bitcoin. For other cryptocurrencies so Do what has what's if you look at the basket of other currencies it is catching up with bitcoin even now the bitcoin dominance has slowly been falling over the last year and it hasn't yet had that major gouging that it did and twenty seventeen when it just fell off a cliff and a ton of the money from Bitcoin went into these alternatives like dash and. BITCOIN cash and others. Money came back into dollars at that time also I. Guess So. That maybe. The PAMUK sellers went back into dollars and a lot of the people were panic selling but there were a lot of people who went into the ALZ because they see the vision of crypto currency and they understand that the alternatives are valid alternatives there have always been a bunch of people who've called the alternatives s coins and we can't say that word on the air. But well, that's kind of funny when you're when you're backing a coin. On It's got its it's got what it has because of dominance with a corrupt media So the high number of unconfirmed transactions comes amid bid bitcoin hitting new multi-month highs on October twenty seventh bitcoin surpassed eight, thirteen, thousand, seven, hundred and forty five dollars threshold almost touching its previous peak recorded in two, thousand, nineteen, which was. Thirteen thousand, nine, hundred, seventy. So it's doing pretty well right now as far as its price is concerned, but at some point, people are going to go and spend bitcoin they're going to if they're not going to spend it on a cup of coffee, they're going to try to at. least, send it from one wallet to another or senate from one wallet to like an exchange to try to sell it or whatever, and that's when they're going to get the sticker shock. That's when they're going to find out this thing they've been sitting on waiting on have done nothing whatsoever with for however long they've had it is actually prohibitively expensive to move around and that is going to really burn a lot of people. Oh Yeah. Because that means that the value it's supposed to be a store of is illusory. That's real. We should really be publishing the right along with the dollar price of Bitcoin. We should be publishing. The AM the real value of Bitcoin and that can be expressed as how many transactions can you do for? Joint Bitcoin that's really interesting. It's the first time I've heard that an just came up today but I think it's got some validity. It's like what I tried to say it I, was I was trying when I said I know what it's not worth. It's not worth and then a bunch of verbal diarrhea. This is what I was trying to say but I try and figure out I couldn't figure out how to put it in words. Now I think I've gotten how many transactions can you do for a bitcoin? How many transactions can you do for a dash and then ask yourself why would you rather do a transaction with bitcoin then with a dash and if people give any rational answer, it's because is. Well. There's a lot more miners. Working on Bitcoin so theoretically, it's more secure. The problem with that is that minors come are attracted by price and hackers are also attracted by price. Okay so basically as the price of bitcoin falls against the other cryptos. The miners will inevitably go elsewhere and spread out right along with the value because their self interested traders. So the other thing about you know there's a lot of claims about security and this is what the Bitcoin maximalists, the people who believe that Bitcoin is the one true coin in the will always be bitcoin always be the top. Known as. Retired. But Brag about the security of the network. But what they're not going to tell you is that there's a so called feature that the bitcoin programmers added several years ago called replaced by fee that actually that actually is a huge insecurity that's built into the bitcoin network. That essentially means that if somebody flips the switch called replaced by. A little option that you can set in your big some some Bitcoin, not all of them allow it but some of them do that literally can allow you to cancel the transaction that you make if it's still sitting in the men pool. So as long as the transaction you've sent, it looks like you've sent a transaction, the receivers can see the transaction coming in. All right they've paid for the item I'll let them have the item, and then they can just press canceled transaction, and then the transaction cancels dash doesn't have this problem. bitcoin cash doesn't have this problem like a ton of other. Happened up until the first confirmation. That's correct. Yes. If I was writing a wallet, there would be a big. Red. Flag. We're talking about crypto currency at the moment bitcoin of course, back in the news with it's not quite record highs but getting closer with over thirteen thousand almost nearing fourteen thousand dollars over the last few days for one bitcoin resulted in a even further clogging of an already clogged network that the programmers just refuse to actually remedy. And so as a result, we've got tremendous backlogs on the BITCOIN network and constantly rising prices in fact, the prices of fees average both average and median right now at record highs for the last two years. So they're not going to be higher than what happened in the end of two thousand seventeen yet but the last two years, it's more than twice right now, what they were at their peak over the last two years So at the moment record or the average transaction fee I, think yesterday or today is something around eleven over eleven US dollars worth of Bitcoin, per transaction and the median fee is close almost. Almost. Two seven dollars. So I mean, it's it's out of control. There has been some other interesting news and nobody touched on this story earlier where actually J. P., Morgan The Mega Bank one of the top I think three banks by like asset size and or branch locations it's it's massive. There was they were in the news recently because well, they're changing their tune when it comes to Bitcoin because as Fortune magazine points out here, Jeff John Roberts reporting that for years J. P. Morgan was skeptical of Bitcoin now the banks analysts say that it's value could triple. Even, challenging gold. Now, of course, it's already more expensive for one bitcoin is compared to ounce of gold, but both of those measurements are arbitrary. They say here team of analysts J. P. Morgan's Global Market Strategy Group are touting bitcoins emergence as an alternative to gold among millennials suggesting a doubling or tripling in the price of the currency if current trends continue. The prediction which came in a research note published last week is remarkable given the banks one time skepticism toward Bitcoin, which includes its CEO Jamie Dimon calling it a fraud in two, thousand seventeen and saying he would fire anyone for trading it for being stupid and from what I understand. This guy is still the CEO of J. P. Morgan so I wonder what? He himself is saying because again, this was their department, the Global Market Strategy Group, that is making this statement not the CEO himself. But their bullish stance is driven in part by pay PAL recent decision to offer Bitcoin to its customers, which by the way, as we discussed here on Free Talk Live means that pay pal is actually not from from what we understand. They're they're going to be very limited in what they allow their customers to do with bitcoin. Now, maybe that's going to change in the future and I hope that it does hopefully, they'll be enough demand from Pale users who are in the CRYPTO currency to demand. That pay pile allow them to do one of the most basic things that you should be able to do with your crypto currencies, which is withdrawal it from the site where you got it. So if you've somebody sends, you crypto on the pay pal presuming they even let you hold the balance in Krypton. They don't automatically convert it to US dollars that you should be able to the withdraw button and take it out to your own while it where you can have control over it. So supposedly, that initially pay pal is not going to be allowing that. And they don't have any plans to change that but we'll keep you up to date as that situation develops. So they are saying that. That was part of what drove J. P. Morgan's stance, and then also squares recent move to add fifty million of the crypto currency to its balance sheet. It's also worth pointing out at square. They started selling bitcoin sort of like pay pal is now adding bitcoin square also added Bitcoin to its lineup in the square cash APP that was probably three. Maybe even four years seems like at least three years ago this point. Square doing that was a huge move in the right direction for square ultimately square did allow people to withdraw but you have to jump through know your customer hoops first but. bitcoin revenues, the money, the profit they're making off of that actually dwarfing. Their revenue from their other operations combined. So I think it was last year when they crossed that threshold from. The coin be smaller aspect of their business to becoming the largest aspect of their business in profit if not by volume and I'm not sure which one it was, but it was pretty big deal when that happened another major factor in J P. Morgan's change in a change of heart is the demographic trend in which younger generations are choosing bitcoin over gold quote. The older cohorts cohorts prefer gold while the younger cohorts prefer Bitcoin as an alternative currency says the research I. Guess I'm a Gen xer because I've got golden trump though right? The analysts gone to observe that if this trend continues, there could be a challenge to gold in the long term with important price implications for bitcoin quote even a modest crowding out of gold as an alternative currency over the long term or longer term would imply doubt doubling or tripling of the bitcoin price from here since the note. But what they're missing there is what happens to the coal to the. The price of gold when all of a sudden holding gold can be your way of backing a cryptocurrency. Now, that is something that a lot of gold guys last the when when you when you start talking to them about trip back by is, what's it backed by? Well, there are actually tokens on the crypto markets that are backed by gold packs gold comes to mind in fact, I'm looking at it right now it is currently a new one, hundred and ten I believe on the list of rankings of most valuable. crypto currencies by market CAP. So it's not in the top one hundred, collect the gold from packs. What do I don't know I have not seen that's what that's. So you know you were talking nobody with me about these crypto currencies that are like actually backed by gold or silver, and of course, made me think well, what else is out there? What what are the top gold backed cryptos right now and I don't know if there's a list of just asset-backed cryptos out there because you know normally when you see list of Cryptos, it's just got everything. So it's Kinda hard to figure out which ones are which but I'm just looking through the top one hundred here and just searching for the word gold in on coin Gecko Dot. com it looks like tether gold. It may be the top one at number ninety, six on the charts. Tether which is has historically been a very popular dollar backed. so-called stable coin currently. Actually, I think tethers what number three on the planet. Yeah. Tether, the dollar backed tether is the number three crypto with a market cap of sixteen point five billion dollars which has been shooting up over the last year or two. So they value is mostly in its ability to get you in and out of crypto right and so they launched their own goal back crypto called tether gold. A UT is the little call sign for it and it's currently, as I said, at number ninety six with about a ninety point five million. Market Cap, and then after that, then there's packs gold, which is it about one, hundred ten. So none of these are you know blown away the marketplace yet but there are also worth talking about I mean they exist and supposedly they're backed we were you were asking out. Loud. How do you? How do you get the actual goal behind this according to Paxos? Dot Com, which is the company behind packs gold. They say that you can redeem packs gold for L., b. m. a. accredited good delivery gold bullion bars. Now, I don't know how much gold bars like ten ounces or something or to what you could make gold bar of any size the ten ounce bars there are. Some bars, there are all kinds of buyers, but he said says here for additional convenience smaller amounts can be redeemed through a network of physical gold retailers in US and Canada, which is interesting because that sounds a lot like an idea you came up with once upon a time nobody to have a network of of coin shops that could redeem a goal back to crypto. Yeah. Because that way you can get in and out of Crypto, for one thing without having to go through dollars and that means quite possibly without having to go through KYC even Komodo has solved sold out on. See they're they're becoming a KYC. Ceased customer Yeah. It means they spy on you for the government. Okay. They're working for the government now just like the banks work for the government or perhaps as more proper to say the government works for the banks and just like the exchanges work for the government. Now the decentralized exchanges are starting to work for the government. The thing is start up and they decentralized exchange on a shoestring just by jacking the code from an existing decentralized. It's an open source decentralized. Who Well, if it's not, why are you bothering because it's if it's not open source, it's it's. Not. So. Actually I'm hoping to hear news about. What could be a very exciting decentralized exchange friend of the show Duke who is one of the programmers behind hush which is. One of the very few crypto currencies it's focused on true privacy out there. Obviously, you got Minero but hushes is I think an and comer at least that's my opinion about it and I'm not by no means an investment advisor. It's actually pretty hard to get hold of your easiest easiest way at hushed actually mine it. At this point but. Or have a real decentralized exchange that was what I was. GonNa say is so the Komodo people had a decentralized exchange that you and I kinda played with a little bit called atomic decks. They renamed it to atomic defy because there's this whole decentralized finance defy thing that sort of buzz word right now. So they renamed as that when they sold out. The day been around, it might've been around that time but apparently, what happened recently was the people behind atomic decks, which is a decentralized exchange started to talk about how they were going to. Put an anti money laundering features. So called features restrictions I should say mandated by governments into this decentralized exchange and so duke from from Hush has been publicizing what they're doing behind the scenes and they're obviously not happy about it. So now they're attacking hush. and. So what hush is going to do is they're gonNA, fork the code behind atomic decks and launch. which will be a truly decentralized exchange that will not be doing anti money laundering. Know your customer are all these arbitrary government requirements to try to appease government masters. So I'm very interested to see how this particular project comes along Yeah I I am too because you know basically what all these currency controls boiled down to is they wanNA keep the rich rich and poor poor and one of the ways they do that is by not letting trade that's why you have to be an accredited investor to buy him. A new a project you have to prove that you're already rich before you can legally invest in a startup that raising later leave the law you have to prove that you're rich. I. And if you're not rich, you don't get to play go right out saying you're out of the club. It's a great big club. You're not part of it and you never will be, but bitcoin seems to be part of it. That's eight, five, five, four, five, zero, three, seven, three, three joining you tonight you've got me. Ian. Nobody we've been talking about crypto currency. We started by talking about the the just the dismal state of journalism out there and we're GONNA come back to that because Glenn Greenwald Had A. Little bit more to say about why he quit at the very website that he helped co found back in two thousand, thirteen, the intercept because they were trying to censor his own articles as one of the founders of the site. So then that then somehow we got somebody called in about cryptocurrency and that led into a long rant between the two of us about the state of Bitcoin and how the dismal state of Bitcoin. BITCOIN ATC. Not Not Bitcoin is a generic term. A bright future in crypto currency in general I don't know there's much of a bright future in bitcoin BTC itself the original he i Don I don't think. So the the handwriting seems to be on the wall for that one I had a great run. You know a lot of people made a lot of money but I think a lot of people are gonNA lose money during the second crypto rush. So, just to give you a little bit of information since we were talking about gold backed crypto currencies, I did a little more digging into packs G, which is a one ounce of gold backed crypto currency token, and we were wondering about what what, what does it take to actually redeem one of these things if you have one of these tokens, how do you turn it into a? Bar and there's a website that they mentioned over Paxos dot com called Alpha bullion where they will sell you actual gold bars but there's an eight percent fee or an eight and a half percent fee. So you don't get to just trade one packs G. E. and get one gold bar 'cause obviously somebody's gotTa make some money on the process right like there's somebody who has to put that. Out To gold into an envelope and ship it to you but they're charging full eight and a half percent. So you actually have to pay one point zero, eight, five packs g order to get the goal bar delivered from this particular company while you're looking at about two, thousand, two, thousand, and twenty, five dollars. Is Your final price right now to get that out of gold and you generally have to pay several percent to get into crypto to sure so that. In terms of going from dollars to gold. That's pretty inefficient but And you're not gonNA find. Any ounce of gold at that less than two thousand dollars right now anyway. Right. Yeah I mean that's that's true. That's definitely that's definitely true. Ounce price right now is. The spot prices eighteen hundred and sixty, six bucks. So the fact that you can get an ounce of gold for around thousand dollars is actually pretty decent, I? Think if you look around and look at different gold prices on gold dealer sites, a lot of times they might be sold out and if they're not sold out, you're probably looking at over two grand for that would be my guess. Yeah you're probably maybe twenty, one, hundred, eight there. I haven't I haven't looked in a little while but earlier this year I did look and it was like you couldn't get anywhere near I mean, you never could get anywhere near spot price, but it's usually at least a couple hundred more than than spot for an ounce ya I mean the day that will be wonderful day is when so many people are trading in this that or in in. In gold backed. CRYPTOCURRENCY that. A trustworthy one will be such that you can trade it back and forth with Specie with any old guy on the street. Gold with me. Yeah, if it were. That Popular if it were that popular and if the company's running, it were that trustworthy because basically in a stable coin year your your your price or the value of it is related to both the value of the underlying commodity, and also to the probability of you're actually being able to receive that commodity with you want it. So counterparty risk is the other side bone that. You, you can minimize counterparty risk, but you can never eliminate it. So I'm going to get back into the intercept, which is where Glenn Greenwald has resigned from. He founded this website back in two thousand thirteen, the intercept with few other journalists for the purpose of creating a place where they could publish their stories without any editorial interference without some buddy some mucketty mucks or higher up saying they. They shot be allowed to publish that opinion or you have to keep your opinions to this restricted range, and sadly the website that he founded has turned against him and was attempting to censor his story. So He's actually published the full story mostly turned against reality. Sure. And he had to walk away as a result of that, and now he is he's on his I'm not going to say it's his own website, but he has another site now called sub stack dot com. So he's not the owner of this site. He's just sort of blogging at this this website he's posting there and you could subscribe to his post directly now obviously, sub stack is taking a cut I'm. Not, sure what the cut is, but they're taking some piece of the action for themselves but whatever portion of some portion obviously, a portion that Glenn Glenn Greenwald thinks is acceptable is going to him. So you can actually now directly subscribe or as directly as you ever could subscribe to Glenn Greenwald. So he's talking about his experience here in a post explaining why he resigned from the intercept and he says. Net. Courage is required to step out of line to question and poke at those. Most sacred in one's own meal you but fear of alienating the Guardians of Liberal. Orthodoxy especially, on twitter is the predominant attribute, the intercepts New, York based editorial leadership team. As a result, the intercept has all but abandoned its core mission of Jing and poking at rather than appeasing and comforting the institutions and guardians most powerful in its cultural and political circles making all of this worse the intercept while gradually excluding the CO founders from any role in its editorial. Mission or direction and making one choice after the next to which I've vocal objected as a betrayal of our core mission continued publicly to trade on my name in order to raise funds for journalism that it knew I didn't support. It purposely allowed the perception to fester that I was the person responsible for its journalistic mistakes in order to ensure that blamed for those mistakes was heaped on me rather than the editors who were consolidating control and were responsible for them. The most egregious but by no means, only example of exploiting my name to evade responsibility was the reality winner debacle as the New York Times recently reported that was a story in which I had no involvement whatsoever while based in Brazil I was never asked to work on the documents which winner sent to our New York newsroom with no requests that any specific journalists work on them I didn't even learn of the existence of that document until very shortly prior to its publication the person was the reality winner have. I've heard it's somebody's name it's bizarre name but I don't know what happened with the purposes. It's irrelevant. He's giving it as an example of how they used him. He says the person who oversaw edited in controlled that story was betsy read, which was how it should have been given. The magnitude and complexity of that reporting and her position is Editor in chief, it was intercept editors who pressured the stories reporters to quickly send those documents for authentication to the government because they were eager to prove to the mainstream media outlets and prominent liberals that the intercept was willing to get on board the Russia Gate train, they wanted to counteract the perception created by my articles expressing skepticism about the central claims of that scandal that the intercept stepped out of. Line on a story of high importance to US liberalism and the left that craving to secure the approval of the very mainstream media outlets that we set out to counteract was the root cause for the speed and recklessness with which that document from winner was handled but the intercept to this very day has refused to provide any public accounting of what happened in the reality winter story to explain who the editors. Were who made the mistakes and why any of it happened as the new. York area they couldn't cope with reality as new. York Times article makes clear that refusal persist to this very day notwithstanding vocal demands for myself and the other founders of the intercept as an institution that demands transparency from others has the obligation to provide it for itself. The reason for the silence and the cover up his obvious accounting. To the public about what happened with this situation would reveal who the actual editors are responsible for this deeply embarrassing newsroom failure and that would negate their ability to continue to hide behind me and let the public continue to assume that I was the person at fault for reporting process from which I was completely excluded from the start. That is just one example of illustrating the frustrating dilemma of having a newsroom. Name Work and credibility when it's convenient to do. So while increasingly denying me any opportunity to influence its journalistic mission and editorial direction all while pursuing editorial mission completely anathema to what I believe. He said despite all of this I didn't WanNa leave the intercept as it deteriorated and abandon its long or two original mission I reason to myself perhaps rationalized that as long as the intercept at least continue to provide me the resources to personally do the journalism I believe in and never to interfere in or impede my aditorial freedom. I could swallow everything else but the brute censorship this week of my article about one hundred Biden's materials and Joe Biden's conduct regarding Ukraine and China as well as my critique, the media's ranked closing attempt to in a deeply unholy union with silicon, Valley and the intelligence community to suppress its revelations eroded. The last justification I could cling to for stay. It meant that not only does this media outlet not provide the editorial freedom to other journalists as hopefully envisioned several years ago but now it no longer even provides it to me.
