"On a boat with geneva. Davidson will geneva. Thanks so much for being here allow. I'm glad to be here all right geneva. Take us back to last week if you can before you started baby led weaning. What were you concerned or worried about regarding this transition schuyler. Yeah well. I was really worried about breastfeeding. To be honest. I thought it was like our last days event and she was in the nick you for a few weeks with a little bit early and she was only bottle fed with breast milk. But we worked really hard to finally get the full breastfeeding thing down. And i just felt like it was done and i was really worried so i kept asking. You is is okay. Is it gonna be like that. So that was kind of my main concern. I thought i was losing her. And we actually have to. You just finished feeding schuyler before we did. The podcast episode was asking you like a week into it. Have you noticed any changes in her feeding schedules forest breastfeeding does not at all. Yeah it's the same permanent. That's the right answer you guys. Because there's like very minimal eating going on right. The first few weeks can take some babies four six eight weeks to like get to the point where they're actually bringing enough food to their mouth that it's taken up some ruin their stomach and they're starting to eat less. I usually tell moms. Don't even think about adjusting your milk feeding schedule for the first the sixth and the seventh month of life. If you're starting baby led weaning at six months of age because everything will pretty much stay the same. You can anticipate that okay. So now you're one week in with baby led weaning. What's something that has surprised you with regards to schuyler starting solid foods. It's really surprising to see how like she knew right away. Kind of how to pick it up. I mean not perfectly but like she the way she was able to grasp it. It was just a little bit surprising that they do have some skills there but also i didn't expect her to be over it so fast so she's interested things. It's fine and excited. But i didn't expect that that that like over it you know kind of thing and i know that's normal and so it was just funny to see. Yeah i've spent a lot of time with your family this week and say like it's so nice like there's days where she wants to eat a meals where she wants to eat and there's other ones where she wants nothing to do with it and that's totally typical. I think it's so hard when especially when you learn a lot from social media as parents we do we were working on a lot of reels with skyler and you take a twenty minute feet. Boil it down to a thirty second real. It looks like all that babies doing his eating but like the reality is there's a lot of stuff happening in between so when she's not bringing food to her mouth. Perfect baby led weaning model. What she'd been doing because you've been sitting in the chair fifteen to twenty minutes one or two times daily..

A year later as his suspension was coming to an end. congress proposed terminating lease services permanently. The motion was close but failed. Meaning that lee would return to service league however heard about the motion and dashed off an angry letter to congress including an offer to resign a few days later. Lee thought better this angry letter and wrote back saying that he had been intemperate and wished not to resign. The letters however convinced congress. That lee had not learned his lesson and would never show proper respect for washington or congress. The delegates voted to accept lee's resignation and terminate his services in the continental army when the army conclude the league court martial. "Most of us have heard of saving the elephants or saving the polar bears. But what about saving their parasites scientists are increasingly finding that parasites are key part of ecosystems and many risk of extinction NPR's lauren summer explains. When your job is to study parasitic worms, not everyone wants to hear what you do for a living. It's not a popular topic of conversation cocktail parties. I can tell you that Chelsea would is assistant professor at the University of Washington parasites a major public relations problem they're gross and slimy and most people don't really like thinking about them. But the fact is that they're really important in ecosystems would. Says just look at a flat worm she studies in California Ponds I. The parasites starts as an egg inside a bird, the birds about the egg, which infects snails than it goes from the snail to frog, but the parasite needs to get back in a bird to finish its life cycle. So it causes deformities in the frogs legs, which makes it easier for birds to catch and eat them which helps. Sustain. The bird population would says, it shows how humble parasites can influence the entire food web. But if birds are threatened, we're GONNA. See some parasites decline possibly to extinction in the presence of environmental change, which is why team parasitology released a new parasite conservation plan. The first step is simply identifying them of the millions of parasite species only about ten percent are known to science says Schuyler Hopkins of. North Carolina State University. We know nothing about them. We don't need another name Oh definitely don't know what they're doing with the ecosystems. Many parasites are just as vulnerable as their host animals are to climate change and habitat loss but even though an animal may be listed as endangered, it's parasites aren't, but they could be added alongside their more visible hosts. It would be a really great way or easy way. To get a lot of mileage for her site conservation because humans tend to gravitate to animals like us. It is the wolves and the grizzlies and the polar bears mostly the mammals that really get people's attention Jacob Malcolm Works for the advocacy group defenders of wildlife. He says, it's not all bad. That humans focus on those charismatic critters saving their habitat can also help the less charismatic species in their ecosystem. How Michigan's governor is battling coronavirus

"Jonathan Cape Heart. Welcome to this special edition of Cape. Up Two separate interviews with two elected officials in two different jurisdictions dealing with the corona virus. Pandemic Governor Gretchen of Michigan and Chicago. Mayor Lori. Lightfoot the start with Governor Whitmer who after instituting one of the strictest. Stay at home. Orders in the nation is getting set to review them and ask her why after all the attacks and president trump. She's polling better than him in a brand new Fox News. Poll Governor Whitman. Thank you very much for coming on the PODCAST. Client to be with him. So you have one of the strictest. Stay at home orders and now word comes that you're now reevaluating that stay at home order. What's changed to make that possible so I think you know? I want to assure kind of the rational. Why we have one of the strictest. Stay home orders. Michigan is the tenth most populous state in the nation. And yet we had the third highest death in the nation and that's something that It has just absolutely devastated. Communities across my state created an incredible amount of fear and concern and we know that Cova nineteen was spreading far and wide long before it was ever detected via test so it took actions to keep people safe and there are more restrictive than other states but I thought that it was absolutely essential after a few weeks of the stay home pasture. We have seen our trajectory. Really Start to flatten. We've saved lives on one of the things about Public Health when you're successful. You've never able to really quantify precisely. How many lives he saved. But we know that. This strategy is working here in Michigan. Every day. We're learning more about Kobe. Bank teen we are crunching the data. We are learning more through increased testing. We're not where we want to be your where we need to be as a nation and sterling. That's that's true in Michigan as well but we are seeing This data that gives us Optimism and so as we evaluate extending the stay home order. We're also an a moment where we can evaluate if there are some things that we might Lighten up on not dramatic changes but changes. That may bring us more in line with some of our our other states and so this is a moment where alphabet evaluation is happening. I'm GonNa make a very Thoughtful data driven determination that centered around promoting public health but also ensuring that people are still eager to abide by the stay home. Stay safe order. I think that's always the balance fat that we have to do here to make sure that we keep compliance than and we keep giving people confidence that we've got a strategy to re-engage in a very thoughtful safe manner so this is not a just so that no one thinks that you're gonNA completely junk your stay at home order. This is. This is going to be something. That is gradual. Sure yes absolutely. This is we're going to look at it. I think the trump administration says as a some people say we're GONNA open stages I like the visual of waves were We're surrounded by the great late. So I'm always thinking in those terms but I do think that we are going to be very thoughtful. We're GONNA have to measure every step of the way There will be you know it'll be necessary that we're nimble if we see a spike Dr. Start to happen that we pull back when necessary that if we are continuing to see success as we open things up where numbers stay down in our ability to meet the needs in our hospitals that are PPA. Needs are much than we can. Take the next step forward. But I think that the the leader's epidemiology and and health sciences across our country are advocating. That is the best practice to avoid a second wave and I hope even if you're a dissenter of the current stay home order we can all agree that avoided. A second wave is the most critical thing that we need to do. It will save lives but it would be absolutely devastated under economies Leeann. A second wave two so you are a part of a compact of states and correct me if I'm wrong. Great Lakes Region Governors who have joined together in sort of dealing with the with the pandemic at can that compact that you're in hold if each of you opens up your respective economies separately or are you given the evaluate reevaluation that you're undertaking and the one that Governor Dewine Ohio is undertaking are those being coordinated so that way these the waves of reevaluation as you put it are all being done in. Concert saved us. You know one of the things that I have found incredibly helpful in these unprecedented times is that I've got group of governors with whom I can share information and data and our thoughts and learn from and I think it's made all of our determinations better the fact that we've got an open dialogue and it's open with Democrats and Republicans. I think that's really important when I pulled kids out of schools here in Michigan as one of the first states to do that and immediately got a call for my friend. Jay Pritzker governor of Illinois. Same tell me. Your thought process did you. What are your experts telling you because they were contemplating it but I had made the decision and they wanted to understand you know weeks later. Maybe a week later when he decided to close bars in Illinois and Mike Dewine closed bars in Ohio and they made the restaurants dine out. Only I got on the phone with both of eminent said. Tell me your thought process. Tell me what you're seeing so I think that the sharing of information has been incredibly helpful. There are many people who can understand all the pressures that we are under but we certainly can understand it from one another and in the global pandemic were all in the in the same situation and we've got similar economies and so I think that's important. That's what really drove Reaching out and trying to get everyone to join this kind of Compact that doesn't mean that when I make a decision in Michigan Kentucky Ohio Indiana Minnesota Wisconsin Illinois. We're going to make the same exact decision at the same cadence but what it does mean is that we are having those robust conversations. I am organizing it. So we're getting on the phone regularly and our teams are as well so that our sharing at we are learning from one another and it makes all of our decisions that are informed and I think better decisions you you created the Michigan Corona virus taskforce on racial disparities and it's dedicated to the memory of Schuyler. Herbert who had five years old is the youngest person to dive the corona virus in in Michigan. It's the Task Force is headed up by your Lieutenant Governor. Why is this task force important sort of a leading question? But I'll have you hold forth. Well you know So you know governor Garland Gilchrist as the chair of this task force and one of the things that I'm really proud that we did in Michigan. We were one of the first states to do it. And frankly not Everyone has followed suit and I'm hopeful that eventually we'll have every state following suit but we've been releasing racial data on our current virus cases now even when it's not completely full because we do have a lot of Tests that were conducted on. The race was not noted early on in the process by gathering. This data has really put a spotlight. On the fact that we've got a disparate health outcomes and anyone who studied it anyone who's been paying attention isn't surprised by that but I think I think the surprise is that is so desperate that fourteen percent of the Michigan population is African American and yet forty percent of the deaths from Kobe. Nineteen are African American. And I think that that's something that we absolutely have to in this crisis. Learn the lesson and make them. Societal changes to improve outcomes and to have real equity meister. I gave a few months ago. It feels like a lifetime ago. Now highlighted. Is that a good part of my save. The state addressing the dispirit outcomes for women of Color and babies of color is three times more dangerous Three times more deadly for a woman of color to have a baby in Michigan than it is for women. And there's implicit bias. There there are a lot of contributing factors. I think it's incumbent on every leader. Everyone who has a position of authority to understand that? That's an issue that there's a problem and we've got to fix it and I think this is held a mirror up to our country and really magnified The the historic racial discrepancies. That we have in our society and fix them

'I Played A Season Of The WNBA Secretly Pregnant'

"So Alexis tell us about Schuyler digging Smith the player Skyward Digging. Smith is phenomenal biggest. She has obviously the ability to score in score. Well but she is a great facilitator a true floor. General did first of all so not only can she make shots for herself and score really well on her own but she also is very good at finding her teammates and making sure they have opportunities and what she like as a person. I tried a lot of different sports. Basketball was the one that kind of stuck with me. Something does drove me and continue to drive me. I wanted to be the best very vocal. Very passionate very young. I guess and fresh you can see that through her through endorsements and her the workout kind and one two and three and four contracts relief contract threatening. That's right this is ridiculous Schuyler Digging Smith but not as ridiculous as an outdated sports drink and then on social media just her vocalness she was very vocal about. Wnba athletes getting equal pay. Don't act like you don't see the discrepancy. You know adult. Don't make me feel like I'm crazy. This is not new as far as not getting paid and she actually sat out last season after giving birth to her son and while she was out she was pretty vocal about her unhappiness with how her team the Dallas Wings handled her becoming a new mom. Can you walk us through that drama? So during the two thousand nineteen season that Skyler was sitting out. After having a baby she took to twitter and expressed how she was unhappy with the organization and didn't feel. They supported her through her pregnancy. She wrote people. Call me a quitter. Said I gave up on my team. Not Knowing took two full months away from everything because the postpartum depression with limited sources to help me be successful mentally and physically but just wait though keep that same energy continue. I've played the entire season pregnant last year. All Star in the league top three to five in MPG. Didn't tell a soul. Wow it was very eye opening for all of us and really the catalyst who okay. She is going to step away from this organization eventually right so that lack of support leads her to request a trade from the wings. Yes where she was going to go was obviously a mystery and with that she got interest from multiple teams the Phoenix Mercury. Being one of them. And when did we first start to hear that the mercury were serious about Landing Skyler Diggins? The mercury are a pretty good at keeping things. You Know Fairly Hush Hush I think rumors were swirling that it could be a potential landing spot but really it didn't start until WNBA free agency opened up on February tenth. Lots of signings lots of trades. Lots of deals happen the very first day but then on the second day the Phoenix Mercury sent one of their all-stars to WanNa Bonner to the Connecticut Sun in exchange for two top ten twenty twenty draft picks and a twenty twenty one first round draft pick and that kind of sets the rumors ablaze of. What are they going to do with that? Who are they going to get? And that's when Schuyler is name really started popping up in association with the Mercury the Dewana trade happened on the eleventh and twenty four hours after It was announced that Skyler would come to Phoenix. And tell us about this mercury team that Skyler diggins joining you have arguably the best player in the world in Diana Teresi Rossi barrels luxury back in front or Ossius. Twenty-five she's fiery on and off the court. She's opinionated. She will tell it like it is when she has the ball in her hands. She is controlling every aspect of the game and making sure that the ball gets where it needs to be a Rossi fodder for the Finnish dish from Diana Toronto and the chemistry that you see her build with her teammates in practice and in Games when she is playing is second to none and Brittany griner at center One of the most dominant athletes on the court favorite thing is blocking Williams workings rider system. She holds the WNBA record in blocks in a single game and single season so definitely a lot of all stars around Schuyler. The mercury are clearly already stacked but despite that they've had a couple of really disappointing years last season. Diana GERACI was injured and the team lost during the first round of the playoffs. Chicago sky around two decisive victory over Phoenix seventy six. The final teams will often start thinking about a rebuild after underperforming like this or when injuries catch up with marquee players was that ever a thought in Phoenix. Not a rebuild but a kind of re strategize a focus on getting healthy a focus on Dan atrocity getting back one hundred percent. Britney griner toward the end of the season was dealing with injuries. I think a big thing for the mercury knowing that Diana Tracy is thirty seven years old and likely at the tail end of her career that it was important to make one big last tidal run. But I think part of getting all those draft picks for Dewana and setting the stage for this blockbuster trade was really to put the team in a great position to contend for a title with Dan Atrocity. And what's what's Phoenix hoping to get out of Schuyler now that she's on the team. I talked with head coach. Sandy Brunello after the Schuyler deal was done and she said that there was going to be a focus on being a lot more physical more playmaking ability and that is something that skyler definitely brings to the table. We're not very Closest Diane Army to will to win passion for the game. But she's white fire Panel the bone she create obviously is a real tough defender with Schuyler. Here are some of the decision. Making some of the ball handling will also fall into Schuyler slap and knowing that Schuyler signed a multi year deal and that Diana is looking toward the end of her career. I think it would ultimately be a good transition to start building the team out instead of the team solely focusing on one star player. And why does this trade makes sense from Schuyler perspective? I think it places Schuyler. In a great position to play alongside A player like dance Rossi to play alongside Brittany griner but also with the team culture. The mercury have kind of the best family planning and Family Facility is in the league. I think they're building a new practice facility state of the art but they also have a quote unquote family room. They have a lot of MOMS on the team. The coaches have kids and it really is a family atmosphere so I think looking at what? Schuyler went through it made sense for her to land with the mercury knowing. There's these all-stars knowing they prioritize family knowing that she won't have to hopefully worry about some of the things she dealt with in

An Interview with Veteran Show Runner Kimberly Goodman

"Kimberlite Goodman is a Showrunner for two of your most favorite shows, especially this year, married at first sight and also selling sunset, which you guys know him obsessed with so welcome to the show. Thank you. How are you? I'm great tell me about this gem of show selling sunset. How did you get involved and tell us a little bit more about how this show is created? Well, it came from the mastermind of Adam do the low who's from the hills. And he I got a call last summer asking if I was available, and I was in Philly actually working the little bit on married at first sight. I was just getting going, and we had a meeting in the next thing. I know I'm I am out in the sunset hills with the twin brothers and all those amazing women that you guys are watching now from what I understand Adam was adamant Schuyler his right, hand development guy. They were looking through some real estate magazines 'cause Adam is obsessed with real estate, and and all of that and came across the two twin brothers and realize that he has a they have a Staffel of these gorgeous woman. He's like, oh, my God that could be an amazing show. And then he went and met with them. And I think it was a pretty long process to get. Everything, you know, get everybody on board and all of that. But they went and met and next thing. You know, we have a we have an amazing show all of these real estate agents had they've been working for a while. Because when you watch a show, it's you have to ask yourself, or at least, I think, I know most of the people that watch this show thing these people really real estate agents because they look like they are actors or models are later stage models. I don't know like they look like they've been in entertainment industry. That's funny later stage model. No, you know, what they are. They are all gorgeous. And yet they are all very hard working real estate agents, crystal as you saw the watching show, she the newest to real estate, and then newest to the firm, but yes, they are all legit real estate agent who worked there Calif. And it's funny because I've met real estate agents outside of the firm, and there, I think I think it's like a prerequisite all rotate didn't have to be there. Really good. Looking men are really hot women. The one thing that I hear a lot of my real estate agents. Friends say is that they're baffled that some of them will show up to the construction sites in like four inch heels is this how they always dress. Please tell me they once in a while show up in like yoga clothes, they did they they're actually very real people. And they do they do wear jeans and heels or they were yoga clothes, and they eat fast food some of them do so they're not they're not like these robots fixing. Yeah, they're not that that at all. Obviously, you know, when we're filming a television show. Everybody wants to put their best foot forward, and when they're selling in their meeting with clients they obviously want to do the same. So they they dress up for and there it's part of their brand. They are they're selling luxury multimillion dollar homes, and they are Representative of that just Christine really take clients out for shots. Is that is that like a typical thing?

"On people. Lot of different you in the car in front of you. Because there's going to be on top of women with with Artie limiting your ability to drive through the windscreen. Yeah. And listen closely to what the meteorologists are saying, I think it's real easy for folks, especially an hour or two ago to look out the window and go come on. It's just drizzle. I can get where I'm going. But we've seen state offices close we've seen a lot of closures in the past hour of folks getting to work, and then saying we really need to get back home before this thing hits of listened to other people, right? I grew up in Colorado on canal say when when I was a kid we didn't have a closer until storm hit the reason everyone was close because we know we're going to visit conditions a little bit later in the day. So folks who are coming to work now gonna have a real time getting home, I commute is gonna take ours. But that's important because he'd really, okay? So you mentioned taking hours being in the car Schuyler what about emergency kits? What should we pack and have with this is safe? We get stuck for a long period of time in Colorado. There you go out without a winter driving the most important thing if you're on the plane just. One clothing and blankets, and you're stuck on your car period of time. So you want to hop kitty litter? One of several you can take out of a disablement, and I get the basics whenever you're grabbing on Colorado. In the worst possible conditions. What is triple A planning to do today? I mean, are they going to be rescuing a lot of folks, do you think? So we had a big grand already. Which is we get a lot of battery calls, but I drop we're going to get more. Good fun. Also people who are losing profit on a sliding. Getting really preventable. If you drive slowly. And also if you had adequate higher Presper, I'm so we're willing to take all of our members ready out there. I'm just not when you call it might take a little longer to get you. And I was gonna say skyler. What are the biggest issues that triple A handles on a day like this? Yeah. Number one really are going to be when we're talking about this low visibility. Luckily crosses without having high seats. Flow big. But we're going to be a lot of people out of. Well, tweeting batteries from folks. Because I over that when you do a drought. So it's really a room. Yeah. And if you get in an accident, you're certainly putting other people's safety in jeopardy as well. Schuyler? Good information. Thanks so much. I sure will. "And we're back. This is the Saul Spady show on AM seven seventy K t t h and you know, we're later in the week because this is one of my favorite segments of the week. It's our entrepreneur of the week, and I'm joined by good friend. I would say a night of the rational opposition in his own way. Schuyler Basell he is the president and CEO of oleo CBD and CD's really cool Schuyler for all of our listeners out there. It's it's a cannabinoid it's different than THC. It's been used all over the country to help people, you know, dealing with epilepsy. Dealing with other medical. Things. And now, it's it's with the two thousand eighteen farm Bill. It's something that's widely accessible across the United States. Correct. Absolutely true. I mean, the farm Bill was kind of first of what are the many steps and really making it nationally available to everyone for for us. We see a lot of ability to help people particularly already living healthy lives. Just live better lives. That's our hope is. And so you know, I almost want to jump in. Because with every entrepreneur I've talked to them about how they got started as an entrepreneur. And then I want to work my way to CBD dissolve -able CD. I've known you for a long time. You've always had a business or three what was your very first business Schuyler, and then what's kind of your path to getting here to to dissolve -able. Well, I mean, I think it goes back quite a ways to my childhood. I can't say that. I started a business when I was a kid, but my dad is a self employed contractor. So I I got to work growing up with with him and see what it was to be self employed. I think. That goes goes back to that. In terms of a desire to be an entrepreneur. You know, it wasn't until I got to Seattle and worked at Boeing and Amazon and eventually started working on some of my own side projects that it really took a turn to be able to actually be involved with running my own company that's kind of a great concert because a lot of the time. I've known you you've only recently kind of the last year or to become a full time entrepreneur, you had all these side hustles inside gigs. How important do you think the side hustle is to being an entrepreneur? Do you think that's a key part that risk mitigation factor? I mean, it's an interesting question. I think my opinion on it has changed. I definitely have those side hustles then developed into a full-time thing whether that was the mobile application, I worked on previously before oleo or whatever the case may be. But I think at this stage. I definitely am less into the concept. I think that you know, side hustle is positive if you're looking to develop something, but once you have something to really latch onto and dedicate all your effort to it. Just simply takes all. Of your when you do have something to put all of your effort to you. You were at the edge. I remember having a conversation with you once where you told me that the letter of the law and the spirit of the law of CV deer are clearly interpreted, and we clearly lie on the spirit of the law concept. But that that early mover advantage is now taken forum where you know, in front of me, I had this incredible. None of our listeners can see this is really cool packet of dissolve -able passion, fruit CBD, I can put right into a container shake it up, and it's available on the go. How did you get to this point where your your product is so established and you're ready to make this year full-time gig? Yeah. I mean, it was a it hurt of journey. I think when when I when I joined the the folks who co-founded Olea with there was merely a technology that was used to convert oils in this case cannabinoid oils into water soluble powders and over the next couple of years as we develop the technology. These products emerged because we were seeking an alternative THC. You know, I have nothing against recreational cannabis. And I'm glad that it's booming in the US and in Washington, but there needs to be a way for people to enjoy the more medicinal side of the hemp plant. You know anytime of day when you're on the radio here when you're at the office after your work to class, and that's why we use our products, and for some of our older listeners who are maybe just discovering CD finding their way to this isn't psychoactive. I can and for our listeners out there. You know, I'm gonna be making some oleo right here in having a sip. And it's not gonna do anything psychoactive to me. It'll just what are kind of the results that you're looking for when you take CBD and the people that you find who keep coming back to all your why are they why are they choosing you? Yeah. I mean, so the the big differences that are CBC comes from industrial hemp, which is as you said legalized by the two thousand eighteen farm Bill, and that makes it non intoxicating so zero THC and these products and the benefits were looking for study suggests that CD is helpful in intriguing inflammation. And certain other things like like stress and anxiety. And there's a lot of research let yet to be done. But that there is preliminary evidence that suggests that and that means for our products people are using it after a long day at work after a workout to really renew their body and revived their mind on in our mission is to help people enjoy life more on and reach their fullest, physical potential. And that's what's interesting is. I don't get this at cannabis store. Right. I have to go somewhere else. How do I find your product? How do I become I I'm lucky because I have all these entrepreneurs in here, you know, all of these cool change agents in in our state. But if I if I'm not the sauce Spady show. How can I get a hold of Somalia? Yeah. I mean for us. It's explicitly nonsol- dispensaries because it has no.

"The committee. My husband, Bruce. Sure. This is my seat. I'll be don't party. I think he's wanting her blood at this point. You got here. So far. Instagram. So she's looking at the people who are checking in. Fortnight raised a separate question. Is there a conservative name skyler? I'm saying if your parents name who Schuyler as a young kid you are destined to be liberal. I I don't think they let you leave. Once they get a Schuyler they hold onto their Schuyler. So anyway, she wants to be your president. And among the more interesting takes she has this idea called the accountable capitalism. Act that she would push and the accountable capitalism act would basically force companies to be less concerned with making money, and as you probably know most companies exist for the same reason, the lemonade stand does when you're eight years old they exist to make money this a problem with that in her opinion. So she wants to see see the more accountable to the public for their existence. So the accountable capitalism activities in favor of would require corporations with a billion dollars in revenue to get a new charter from the federal government as most corporations are state chartered as you may. Well know, so once you get your federal charter that she's going to propose here. The companies you'd have to fill forty percent of your board seats with. Employee representatives. That's among the stipulations on your board. Forty percent of the people who work for you. Then she would make businesses accountable not to the shareholders, but to those she calls stakeholders stakeholders would be the employees stakeholders might be the local municipality stakeholders might be the local school board that needs the money the tax money to run the school board. Those will be the stakeholders those are more important than making money, even though the purpose of the corporation is to make money in the first place on trade. She's a little bit closer to to our present president. She's a little bit more protectionist these. She thinks globalization has been tremendously profitable for the largest American corporations, but it's not delivered for the middle class. She also says the middle class is under attack that if you're in the middle class, you're not falling through the cracks. You're falling into a trap. It's a trap out there. I think like a LEGO trap, and it was laid out there by the same big bad corporations who are unaccountable to you. And she says the the middle class is under attack a white. We'll be under attack. I don't know because the whole idea would be hopefully, if you're corporation to sell things to those people in the middle class, you would like them to have some money. I would think. However, she doesn't see it that way, she sees you as being under attack. And of course, the whole idea is that the corporations want to make more money. Now, what's missing in all of this is that most people are part of some retirement plan, either you have a 4._0._1._K or you have a pension or you have an IRA, and it's invested in, you know, things like stocks. That's how you plan for your retirement. And you're hoping that the company's you invest in find it necessary to make money so that you have a nice nest egg when you retire, this would basically yank the rug out from under people's in retirement plans, if you're investing in a company with a billion dollars in revenue or more, that's something. I haven't looked at it. What percentage of companies out there have a billion in revenue or hire a billions not a lot of money anymore? So my guess is most of the big names, those wheat, we know of those at our house. Hold names are all billion plus companies and would all need their employees sitting on the board. And then to be responsive to the stakeholders as opposed to the shareholders what that does to your retirement plan. I have no idea, but it seems like some people work from the assumption that only rich people. Are invested in the stock market stocks or bonds, and it's pretty much anybody who wants to retire. And typically, the the average person isn't somebody who studies the market and buzzer around investing. You have somebody. You know, whether it's it's a company it's like a fidelity or somebody out there who's handling that for you. You give them an idea of what you want and they're in charge of doing that. Or maybe you have a financial planner who makes those decisions on your behalf. I don't know some people get the impression it's just like Scrooge mcduck sitting behind, you know, a large desk with vault behind him full of gold coins making these decisions and screwing over the little guy if you're planning for retirement, anything above and beyond your social security. I mean, unless you're in a passbook account or something chances are your money's in the stock market. But on her side of the aisle, very often. They pretend only fat cats have money in the market. And that's who they're out to punish. I don't view it that way. Quick comment on Elizabeth Warren. Ed stands by Dayton. Yeah. Ed. What's up? Hey. Good morning, Mike. I want to say that Elizabeth Warren most likely rather than holding meetings or get together, she'll be holding powwow, and it you'll probably Tomahawk any ideas that she doesn't like what do you think she could do that Pocahontas? I kind of like FOCA hana's ExCo Kahane's I've heard once or twice. Believer in that one too, right? All right. Thank you. Later, Elizabeth Warren. She has jumped into the fray and some believe you'll probably do pretty well, she's got a get past the the Indian thing with the problem. The problem issue. You have here is when you make exceptions for people who fudge the truth as a lot of people kinda did with the individual sitting in the White House. Now, you can't make as big a deal over their opponents who fudge the truth. That's one problem. And you'd like to think that's the kind of thing that would have sunk Sunkar politically a couple of years ago. But we have you know, we measure that differently nowadays put it that way. All right. Eight sixteen. We've got a check of traffic. So we'll.

This is gonna be a big big big show. Here's the competitors in the matchup for king of bushido, eight Saturday night at the. American legion. Building Augusta Georgia John scholar take zone shown legacy. I've got scholar winning that match. Cody, Vance take sewn drew Adler. Drew Adler is on row. I've got him win which means that Schuyler Nadler in the semifinals college flour Brown tags on lucky Ali, I'm going cauliflower Brown. He has been king of bushido. He knows the drill. He is on a hot streak. I believe Kalfa Brown is gonna win that match. And then in the final match the first round. Kevin Ray takes on savannah Evans, both of these two competitors. Had great phenomenal two thousand eighteen I think that Evans gets the win. So you're semi finals will be John Schuyler versus drew Adler and cauliflower Brown versus Vanna Evans. And I am going to go ahead and call it. To what I think would be mild upsets, I think drew Adler is going to be John Schuyler. And I think savannah Evans is gonna be cauliflower Brown, and that's going to give you a finals of drew Adler, and savannah Evans, and I think drew Adler is walking out with the title Saturday night. I think he's gonna win in the finals over savannah Evans. So that's my pick drew Adler to win king of bushido aid and move onto the tournament of champions. Speaking of predictions in speaking of tournaments in just a few short weeks PWA is gonna present the x six teen tournament. The first round matchups have been announced. Now, there's some of these some of these competitors that I'm not as familiar with some of these young men who from outside the Carolinas. Some interest is see some of them. Here are the matchups. I'm gonna give you the match ups. We don't have a. Jacket for the sixteen. So you can't you can make your first round picks. And then maybe kind of have an idea of who's going to win after that J dairies Lockhart versus Jason Cade in the first round. I think man, that's a tough one. It's very possible. That that's a drawl like I don't know that I can make a pick their dares Lockhart. Jason k you got Jason Kate. He's got the syndicate behind him. And that to you got deer schlock art. He's the IT champion. But I'm telling you the syndicate I think that's going to be enough. I think having Tommy Thomas there, I think Jason cades going to beat Darius Lockhart. Billy brash taken on idiot words, I think that's Billy brash all the way, I think he's going to start out two thousand nineteen. He's the rest of the year. Don't think he's going to start out two thousand nineteen showing why he was the rest of the year. John scholars is Alexander James. I think that's John scholar. All the way, y'all. Yeah. Who really surprised everybody getting this spot taking on slim Jay who is taken PWS by storm after? Being great in Georgia for over a decade. I think this is slim j I think slim Jay moves on in the tournament, sir. Pinta co tagging on Andrew Everett who is if I'm not mistaken pretty big time free agent right now in wrestling. I think Pentecost gets that win Sean car against Ethan case, and I'm gonna call it. I'm gonna call it up sit here. I think Sean Carr. I think Sean car gets the win over Ethan case, drew Adler and tracer ex. These guys have gone back and forth over this by and here. They find themselves facing off one on one in the first round..
