"Just not not a good showing it all now. If you if you if you if you just seven dropped passes that's another that's another hundred yards right. Tear in a and one of them we know was a touchdown. That's another touchdown. There's no doubt by my just just that alone. We have doubled our score in a. I mean good grief. How many completed passes did he have. Let's see brady. had twenty. Two completed path passes so a third of his passes should have been completed another third though savon so anyhow that was bad so we saw that we we knew but i didn't really see how bad it was on the until you look at the game filming on. These guys were wide open. It's like they were covered and they were hard catches. No they were right in their hands and it just bounces right out but you know you could say was the weather. But jones didn't have that problem. And you know our receivers have been having this problem for year and a half now. I don't understand it at all. Do not do not get. Why are receivers are dropping the ball. We got a sick baby. So here's some confident of the background..

"Can't blindly bet against urban meyer's nfl coach one hundred percent against the spread one hundred percent now. The market is curious. And this who the hell is betting on jacksonville. Because it's leaking from seven and a half down to seven which i could not below. That's look at our. We do a day line grade or what we think. The market is at the time. No remember in the summer. This time was two and a half. The look headline was six and a half. The look ahead closed was six and a half so you could bet this all last week at six and a half. It opened his seven state seven till monday afternoon. Went to seven and a half. We've got it at seven and a half tuesday and wednesday the contest. The super contests has seven if you look at the market right now pinnacle seven and a half plus three so that's eight cents towards the savage. So that's all you know. I'd say seven point one right Bet online seven and a half flat or minus one zero six four cents called seven and a quarter. Yeah i think that's about right so you're getting value. It savon i. I like this pig. I'm not gonna play because i don't want to. I'm afraid of a team. Just emerges like how arizona is what in the power rankings from. Where they were earlier this year they start the season tuna zones twelfth and my power ratings and. They're right in the season when eight and a half so they were right at seventeenth. This start the how many points you have greater upgraded them Two points to. How much have you downgraded jacksonville because to me. That's what this play is more about. And i'm scared of that too. Because usually the first two games. I agree in both cases i think as long as of murray's healthy and can run their good three and a half point downgrade. So we're saying this but your assessments five and a half points different than it was summer games ago to yes well. The summer line was two and a half. You had five and a half you get seven right so so it's almost seven and we're not making and that's going through three and seven. The point i'm making is if feels like there's good reason to adjust but not as much as this. It feels like it's adjusting too much. Here's a spots good for the team. Yeah so but here's the thing. I like the pick because it's seven in the contest and seven and a half. I press the button so also one more thing to to get on this. The jags win against the nineteenth and twenty seventh grade. Pass rush units in in those first two games. Where lawrence was so bad. Arizona's currently graded second-best pass rush team in the league and the jags are still the only team in the league that hasn't forced to turn over this season. I would make that. We see that to me. That's a lot of if anything. That's something recommended. Jam a big believer. That turnover margin has so much luck in it than in general of all i did was in week eight. Say i wanna auto bat the two worst or three words turnover teams and auto fe three best. I think you win long run. They're pretty significantly when you say. Yeah it's it's contrarian as it gets that if you look at the turnover tables and take the unlucky team and playing against the lucky team then you. You would make money although i think in. This gave you some numbers that say trevor lawrence storm farmers this case luck. I'll put an over under and trevor lawrence. How many interceptions. While we throw the rest of the year i mean. I think we're cutting from the bench. It's hard to throw read a minhsiu. Yeah they got no choice as no Let me be clear on this game. I think this has all the makings of a bad pick. In that i think arizona's one of the most operate greater teams. Would you agree with that fast. Yes and jacksonville is one of the most downgrade no question and by the way we gave jacksonville and we to six and a half wins and under six wins right before the season stirred. Yeah that's what i'm saying. We gave it out now. Here's why i like the pick. Though i this is a rare case where the narratives all right jackson those a team that the momentum of the losing going to continue on itself itself fulfilling or self generating. I don't know yes. That's a good the cardinals of the opposite kingsbury jobs on the line. If he doesn't make the playoffs he might be. I don't know but if you collar murray is like the year he is going to step up to be. Mvp's that theory. So i think they are. Fans likes to get in front of certain freight trains. That i don't. I don't like a team that hasn't had success why. I don't like to get in front of a team. That's having the first. There's nothing like the first success right. When i did sports center for the first time and whatever other experiences i've had when i had first week and national radio our own show. It was like that had a tingle that had a feeling. I like anything else and i would make the case that jack or that arizona's feeling that right now and that's a positive for them. Jacksonville's you opposite. Thus i think the value says one thing. I think the hand is situational. Once says the other at seven i bet arizona at seven and a half it. No vague i would bet the dog and arizona good spot in the sense of. They almost lost to the vikings they got lucky to win at the very end with the misfield. Go but that almost in that that injects in you. You know excitement your undefeated but also a little warning. We gotta get better. We gotta clean things up but it also. The market has little premium cause of that. I also think you're looking at you. You mentioned the the first time success for a guy like kingsbury and it is. It's the first time ever. Urban meyer has been a failure. It's the first time ever travelled towards failure. I mean that's still bill for it. They haven't proven it yet. I tell you this it'd be myers. Urban buyers byles are not. You can see that on his face. They missed a couple of field goals and he liked put his hand on his knees and just shaking his head like disgusted. I can't believe you're gonna wonder. Isn't this like if you had a chipper got like a. It's a long term. I think. Trevor lawrence would respond a lot more than looking over and seeing his co. hughes. How bad if he had. If trevor lawrence had mike tomlin clap. Let's go we're good. We're going to be back in. He'd be a lot better any closing thoughts. I think we covered. I love the differentiation. You made between the seven and the seven and a half. Last thing i'll say is if you like arizona. I would not even consider the money line. I think this is one. If you like jacksonville. Look at the money line. I don't see jacksonville back during. But i could see somehow someway. They win the game. If they get the lead they build upon it. So i think this is a room momentum in both directions if somehow the game reverses it. That's bad so i would like arizona and like a alternative line. I'd much rather them. So what would be a number of. We were laying fourteen and a half. I would point. Yeah you get short. Paid sports probably plus two ten if there was you know in general that you agree with the theory here. This is the momentum. Game that that..

"Learning this shit. That isn't going to be so depressed. 'cause i didn't have the bar. I came in the house. I saw my dad with the pretzel. So now i'm like. I'm like food y- i'm a. I'm a shitty food detective. I saw the pretzel out of my quarter my eye. I'm like okay. Know that's in play. I see the tortilla chip. So i go straight to the bread warmer. I pull a pretzel. I started dipping. The pretzel and every dip the caramelized onion obviously is getting the headliner. Yeah that's the. that's the showcase item. Yeah 'cause that's an item that would never be at my house. My mom said my brother brought it the day before. So that's the high calorie we would never buy this. It's going to go away. So i have to eat the most of it so then i mean that having the guac i'm having the hamas and then i'm using their chip i the could attain may as well not exist to me. My dad walks by dad walks over and he goes. He goes watch it he goes watch. Have the cauliflower change. If you're no nothing it puts the cauliflower. On the plate he goes. That's a chip. But it's a vegetable. I go i fuck it. Watched you eat pretzel. Seven minutes was the pretzel cauliflower. Prep so i but you should. You should have. And i'm like i'm in this game i've given up i've up. I in pretzel tortilla land. I'm not going backwards. Dakota say land. I have given it okay and we're eating dinner at six thirty. Which means hopefully. I'm not eating from seven thirty until seven in the morning because i'll be locked in my cage. So why don't you let me have this happiness right now and it's like even when you're good and you're trying someone's there to knock you someone's there to tell you it's the wrong way even in your like in my mind i was like i'm not happy about it but we're having an early dinner. It's we're having savon eating at six. Thirty won't eat again until nine am l. Yeah famous last words. But i'm kind of trusting the lock system that has been imposed on me here and it's just and my dad just like and i'm like get the fuck outta here you want to just be like like i've learned now with my family. I have to kind of come back their hypocrisy. Yeah does he mean you didn't do the vegetables. That's a hilarious question. Because it's like yeah. I'm look i'm literally reaching over the cauliflower. I don't think they're not to get to the tortilla chips. It's plastic. i know what's healthier again. I'm thirty six. I know what i'm doing now doesn't think that that's the healthier option. And it's like if i'm choosing it. I'm choosing it clearly not choosing the cauliflower. For whatever reason what what bothers you review like. But that's what bothers me about the ribbing is like. He did the same math that i did before entering into snack. Land which is. How am i going to rationalize this move. You know what i mean and again back to the creativity like when you see a snack table you go okay. How am i going to work the snack table into my rationalization. Here's the thing. I know what you said on a detective food. Detective like you get off. The pretzel isn't option. You the options you. You're like okay. Well there's the crackers there's this there's this top offing and yeah it really does become a strategy session of like one of my or i. What do i. What do i want. The most. there are two types of people at a cocktail hour. There's people that are legitimately surprised by the new odd erves. That are coming out. And then there's people like me who are like okay. I've seen all the derby. I'm going to place myself near the kitchen. I'm gonna. I'm gonna act surprise every time the same one i just got comes back. Oh what's this. Wait a minute because of my start. Like i am a fall. Every cocktail hour. I've ever been to was a full on broadway show. Oh you got lamb. Where do i put the phone. As if i don't know where to fucking put the bone. Okay i'm going. Hide it in a seat cushion. There's also the diva who wait by the kitchen. And then who socialize freely. Yeah it's it's me and seven other people who've done weight watchers before hanging by the kitchen on honestly. I feel like you could meet a girl at the kids weaning. I think you're right. That is the best place to meet people. If we weren't so self conscious that we can admit to it like everyone thinks they're smarter than everyone else. We're all doing the same stupid shell like. i know where. I'm we appetizer. I am darting is around. The best is when the best is when they go ahead. I'm sorry people say like a like they're looking past me because like they don't think i'm important and it's like no just looking. I'm looking for the one waiter who seems to get it. Who seems to know that. I could clean up their plate to get them out of work early. I always have that imagine. I've never waited at a at a private event before i've never done. I've never been in the service industry in my life. But i've never i. I always imagined that. I'm doing one of them a favor by clearing their plate that if they get rid of i know it's it's a false dream like that if i like. They're looking for. They're looking for me to to have the last one because if they get through three as they can leave and and i always have that dream that i'm that guy for them hourly jaren prize you've never looked into. "A is a. Is it going to be bill belichick. Yeah sorry guys look nine. Years would have won coach of the air and he didn't because it's just boring but you know it's not boring is all of a sudden. He has this new challenge with a rookie quarterback and they losing record for the first time in forever and then all of a sudden. They're a playoff team their fire on all cylinders. The defense looks great. They've got this monstrous front. Savon the rookies in a good situation. He's developing there's hope returned after a forever drought of one season and the well check wins cushier order nobel player times comeback player of the year. Bo-bottle jack nike the dog. There have been three. Instances in which bill belichick one coach of year with patriots. Two thousand three fourteen in two two thousand seven sixteen out two thousand ten fourteen into and i agree with you if they go if they went. Eleven games this year. There will be some buzz for bill. Bilbao check But i do think that there's he's still going to pay a bill. Belichick tax in the minds of the center is a little bit of teams. That's in eventually. They would have to show me. I have show the media something of show the voter something that is above and beyond is to a whole home patriots team. See my allegation. Is that the presence of a rookie quarterback counteracts the bill belichick tax. Okay i like that. I like that theory. Stephen coach aveer. I'm going to contradict something. I said earlier and i'm going to drink frank rights to talk about the colt. It's a bad division. I could see them winning the division. Let's just assume carson wentz stays healthy which is a big assumption to make and he plays like he did in twenty the amount available. There's a through separate things healthy and miss five days at a time if you catch my drift. I'm not asking him. I'm not saying to return to two thousand seventeen carson wentz. I don't think that guy's ever coming back but twenty eighteen twenty nineteen carson. Wentz was fine. And i think that's enough to give the colts to the playoffs in that division. Because i do expect the titans take a step back. I know people are high on them. Defense looks like a mess on paper. They've lost their offense coordinator. I could see the winning night. Division had like ten and seven and if they do if you look back at the history of this award the person who wins it is the guy who won more games than he was like compared to the pre season win total some some like stats guy tweeted out last year and it was every single year so i think expectations have to be low to win the award and i think they are with indie after what happened in the last two weeks their schedules just freaking brutal though and particularly the beginning of so. I think we've gone through this before john's point. Titans dolphins ravens. Texans forty niners. Titans titans'll like people are going to be even if they are kinda solid in a way that indicates. There's a really strong coaching job going on here. People are going to be off the scent for them. I think because they're just it just seems hard to see them having a smooth start to the year but somebody has to win that division. I guess the titans settle in from my take. No he's gonna pick dane campbell. Not a team diminish expectations. That still has talent coach. Who i think we're all understanding has been historically underappreciated and what should be one of his toughest. Coaching jobs ever a vegas win. Total said at eight and a half which is similar the same as arizona the team in denver and he's gonna get above it. I'm not saying he's he might play off some saying they're gonna make a playoff run. Mike taibi. yeah that's the best. That's the best picked out of the theory. Nor who did you think. I was going to pick. I thought your thinking. Pete carroll o. Now the seahawks win tow was ten. It's tom yes. The vikings are predicted to win. More games. going to vegas in the steelers that won the same. That's tough so everybody knows. Ben is not good anymore he only needs to show a little bit stephen. Why don't you ben for comeback player of the year. Because he can't throw the ball more than twenty well other than apple twenty twenty yet drew brown and all right so ben needs to show us a little bit but they still have talent. They're just a great program like just being around there. The economic get weather good. They just i mean the chiefs are like this too but obviously different end of the spectrum because they have so much talent right now two quarterbacks toy that you just watch these practices and is getting shipped on and there's no other way to say that and so many other so many other places just like third. They're wasting energy on things. That don't matter i just i i love how they run a program and i think they're always going to be better than they should. Because there are stable franchise and my tomlin's good coach and and they have talent. So i'm going tom. One here I don't have petitions to the steelers as a as a team this year. But i am expecting them to to exceed our expectations. Which is how you in. This ward All right this is not really an official award is given by the sporting news. I'm just gonna we're just giving it out anyway Executive of the year stephen race. I'm going with bill belichick. For the same reason. I talked to coach him on. Nora is list a couple of weeks ago number one. On danny kallis list was ryan pace on that in that top ten because he was not because he has the will. He has won the award. That is correct but the narrative about the patriots rebuilding and off-season and bill going against type and spending all this money and then drafting quarterback in the first round then cutting cam newton a week before the season starts if they make the playoffs and i think all of us are picking them to make the playoffs. You give the award to bill bell jack. He was the most active. Gm this offseason. I would argue and if it leads to a around kind of have to give him the award. I wanna go through the grim history of this award so being wins last year. Excellent choice dacosta wins of the year before excellent. Choice before that ryan pace howie roseman. Which at the time awesome choice. It's diving instilling. How good. Jim reggie mckenzie. Dave gettleman steve. Time ryan grigson..

During code a lot of people were stressed out. They were anxious. They were feeling depressed. They were going through a lot themselves. Which i appreciate but i think having a look what was happening in our situation and his area gave a lot of people a reason to be not of our goto campaign about if that no girl can do this off. We wanna do good things and our daughter's passing will not be in vain one thing you both have done incredibly from the outside you celebrated as avia every single day and when you took her home when you knew that there were no more treatments that she could come home with you. And she wants to poke your. She wants to grab agreement. She wants to do all of these things. So why would i let my baby sit in my arms me cry over to see sadness. We talk so much about our children changing who we are as human as humans. Change is seen as a strange thing. We shouldn't change. We should be stationary without substitute ridiculous. Because you have to change otherwise. You're plonker so clear. How much becoming parents has changed you. Both and how much azalea has changed you. Both with everything that she is. But that's also through. You guys like our children are a part of us and it's incredible that she's given you so much. Dr moving forward and part of our is with her foundation. She hasn't gone through all of this for no reason and that we've still got azalea with a charity. I feel like for me. I am now watching. "First of all people might find it interesting to know that a lot of unlike this palm a lot of middle english verse. You can almost just sit down and read. I mean i i. I would in my opinion. Chaucer is not much more difficult to read than shakespeare For example you help of a couple of you know some vocabulary guidance you can get used to it in in a week or two was my experience. Yes chaucer is i tell my students that. If if put anglo-saxon at point zero and contemporary modern english at point ten charleston is about not okay nine tenths of the way towards temporary modern. English shakespeare is about nine point. Savon sure yeah. By comparison with anglo saxon so a lot of it is okay bularian spelling. Yeah yeah And this this fellow here is at somewhere around eight point five or something but a little bit off the line because a lot of words. Ben didn't make it into the standard dialect. Okay but that were you know. English words A because he wasn't writing in london. Okay the there in the poem. They're not old fashioned words they would be in common use where he lives right but it's just that they didn't get taken up into the into the standard language. Now when i hear this alliterative verse and this this accents verse. I feel it much more viscerally than what we've come to associate with the kind of metrical rhymed verse or metrical on rhymed for his of later poets in english. And i am. I right to think that that's just because that's kind of how english wants to flow in poetry on english funny language because of because of Sound developments english ends up with log jams of constants at ends of words in a large variety of vowels almost any kind of vowel to go before them So that. I mean there were some words in english that are very calm that have either no rhymes or only one viable rhyme in the whole lane. That's just not the case with most languages because most languages don't permit this big logjam of consonants at the end of a word. So for instance in english we have words strength very important word basically it only rhymes with the word length. That's it some people say you know. Orange is the only word in english that doesn't rhyme. There are just out monosylabic words just words of one syllable. There probably a couple hundred words in english that have no runs qila norms at all. Wow think of think of the word pint. there's no rhyme for that ain't.

That's fascinating to watch too that they know what everything's gonna look like and how it's gonna turn out. Isn't that amazing. It's so amazing. And i'm and i'm sure it's you know so frustrating for them when they're trying to explain to a client like 'cause they're inside the room they can see they can see it fully formed not as just swatches somewhere. Well it's interesting it's interesting to don't you think that in many cases that's kind of how the artist views it renders it in their own head like they will. They will see a canvas and they will see what they want to be on that candidates. They'll visualize it in actually have the skill and talent to go make that a reality you know. I can't even fathom the artistry creativity that then talent. That goes into being able to do that. But i agree with you wholeheartedly. That's what some of the best designers are capable of doing. It's amazing it's really amazing. So helping them realize those visions and the knowing that it's all going to live in this. One house is on so rewarding of as well as being immensely challenging. Because you know they're designing designers. We have our such great talents. I wanna make them happy to you know you know. I want them to stay excited about this project. I learned that if years ago you frequented a tavern and you decide to go back to that tavern go back during the day because if you go at night it might be a ghost tavern so during the day if it is an actual go savon. It won't be there. That's right if you go at night and it's there you're not a hundred percent sure that it's not a ghost tavern and listen that's just science. Yeah yeah yeah. Yeah under research. Yeah you're going to want to avoid. Goes taverns advice in general definitely. You're flexing in the window. It's it's all very distressing. I also learned if i could do a second lesson Nine hundred and sixty eight. The beatles were doing great beatles. Not bad that's my lesson. Thinks go and for the be boys. I like to call them all over the charts. They yeah record label. Everything was great. I mean they were ruining their own artists that they were. They'd so much going on. They were literally couldn't they couldn't do anymore. They were stopping their own. Good stuff other. Carey's biggest competition was the head of their label I wanna say that. What i learned is i'm starting understand. Why my Spec script in which Clifford norm Get locked in an in a freezer in cheers and then invent an art style. That'll up then. The cold logic of the bourgeoisie capitalist system. I'm understand why that didn't go. As far as i thought it might. I really had hopes on that. Here's what i learned. You're you're you're at a tavern. You're going to have friends who you're going to laugh and you're gonna have fun and at some point you're going to come up with the world's best idea. My lesson is always have a pen and paper in your bag because the next thing you know you're waking up you've had a glass or two or twelve. Am i right. Mary and you don't know what you were talking about. And that's how you lose starry notions. That's how you lose your starry notions. 'cause you just don't keep track of them so pen and paper at all time you don't want to write it down on a bar napkin that but it's going to work on the burn atkin and then you wake up. You're like i didn't have enough space. I abbreviated stuff. Somebody used to wipe something down. It's all smudge. -i no be serious about vcr's ideas looks like. I invented lipstick and a piece of old gum. Yeah i was gonna say like well as a double edged sword right because if you get it forget your less than you might think you forget your idea you might think it was the greatest ever right but have you write it down you sober up in the morning and it just like a waffle maker. That makes more waffles. You like. that was the idea. That's what i was so excited about. That means that's a first waffles as you want a waffle maker at most. Two waffles stan. We're talking twelve waffles. At a time. I love this idea the copyrighting it trademarking hold on wait a minute. Wait a minute hold on. Hold on hold on hold on. Listen there's a level like you have four waffle makers in a circle right and there's a lever in the middle you lift up all four lift up. You put the batter in close up. Now you're making out of to write this down. I don't know the pets gun. What was i just saying. I forgot i was just saying how and there were folks there too bad. Then have the world bank said the global reset. The point of it is that you have all of these things that are progressing winner in a linear fashion that all center around valorization and taking possession of metals and if the biggest money in the world wants to reposition and take possession of medals to de-dollarize. Do you think they're gonna make it easy for the rest of us to understand that you think that they're going to misdirect the no look. Pass the fake hand off to the left in the screen pass to the right. They are misdirecting all of us through price so that the biggest money in the world can reposition out of dollars and into cannibals and and. I really do believe that that is happening and you have to. I think trust your gut more than your eyes. Your eyes are lying to your gut won't and that's kind of the long answer in that. The banks are able to use leverage futures contracts to create a perception of reality. Now we can talk a little bit more about the reserve requirements basel. Three that just happened in europe in are going to happen to the uk and the us at the end of the air. We can talk about what i believe is the biggest event in all of our lives. China's belt road railway initiative. We can talk about a lot of things. But i will simply say this to you. It is unequivocally a positive in my mind that for the past four years the biggest money in the world has used price to misdirect all of us and our relating ridiculous amounts of and silver all of the central banks are all of the sovereign wealth funds and all of these big commercial banks. They're using shorted futures prices to To create a reality that allows them to do so it this kind of brings up something that temp tell me if this tracks And as far as i believe there's going to be a new monetary system and let me for our listeners. Just kind of give a thirty second. Recap of the last one hundred fifty years or so of the four different monetary systems that we had from the late eighteen hundreds to thousand fourteen with the classical gold standard where you can take a piece of currency. That's a twenty two thousand dollars on it and it would be a receipt for a twenty dollar gold piece and then after world war one where we put a lot of that on a on a creek that didn't work anymore So from nineteen fourteen to nineteen forty four. We went to the gold exchange standard where you'd have to give them a fifty dollar piece of paper currency to get a twenty dollar gold piece owes forty percent ratio and then after that we went to the brenton wood system after world war two because the us had all the gold and europe had none and the rest of the country had to share a third of it in the us..

"Help and once the vaccine was available, they suddenly had a new role to play. And after this incident, which was called the cutter incident for cutter Labs, the CDC scientists became more and more visible as a voice of authority and expertise, Polio vaccination and then subsequently, vaccination. Generally, we have AH, video from 1991 of Jonas Salk. He became, of course, a global celebrity Asai understand much to his chagrin. On and here he is talking in 1991 about the development and some of those manufacturing process problems just so people can see and what he looked and sounded like and within a matter of 10 days, two weeks After went into production, and it was in into use. It was a report of cases of polio caused by the vaccine. There was no such encounter in the field trial on it was counted on Leah's herself of the VAC. It's the vaccine from one particular laboratory vaccine was suspended. Its use was suspended for a period of short period of time, reintroduced again after the that problem was isolated in that vaccine was Let's destroy all the others were used and thinks that one proceeded in old fashioned. That's just an example of some of the hazards right One has to deal with particularly at that level of experimentation. So a couple quick questions about that. Is it true that he did not ever seek a patent on his polio vaccine? Yeah, that is true, And he publicly said that he didn't believe that. Ah, Patten was the morally responsible thing to do. But he believed that the vaccine belonged to the people and he saw the vaccine is kind of crucial to health and well being. S o right if he did not, As far as I know, take a patent. It's also worth kind of wrapping back. He was in intense competition with Um especially Albert Saving, who in Cincinnati was leading another team of scientists who were developing a different type of vaccine. One that used a live weakened version of the polio virus and sock was was devastated by the cutter incident. Relieved to say the least when it was resolved. But there was this constant tension. Once Albert Savon's vaccine came to market this constant tension between the two over which was the better product in which should be the prevailing polio vaccine for the country. They each had different advantages and disadvantages. And in fact to this day, we still use both of them globally, although in the global polio eradication, which is seeking to eliminate polio in the last few remaining countries where it's present We tend to use Savon's vaccine, which is administered Orly and requires far less boosters. In other words, no shot and far fewer ghosts is the last recorded case of pulling the United States after that 1955 introduction was 1979 what took so long for it to be eradicated in the United States? That's an interesting question of historian would phrase it very differently would say, Wow, that was fast If you think about it, the smallpox, the first smallpox vaccine Was developed in the late 17 nineties. And I think the last smallpox case in the U S, I think was 1948. So for polio that timeline seems quick, compressed relative to smallpox. What happened with polio to give you kind of a big picture view of what what transpired after the first vaccine was approved. There was so much involvement in so much activity in the first few years after socks vaccine was improved that vaccination rates and coverage were it skyrocketed. Millions and millions of people got vaccinated in those first couple of years and polio cases plummeted. Between 1955 and 1957. Then what happened? After 1957 was he started to see this kind of gradual. Departure between those who had the means they could afford the time and the money to take their kids to the doctor. On an annual basis. For instance, they know Stayed up to date on the news and followed expert advice. These people continue to get their kids vaccinated, while other people either who didn't have the means or warrant aware of the need. Um, we're getting their kids vaccine that a far lower rate and so in 1958 and 1959 you start to see polio pieces creeping back up just a little bit, but starting to creep back up and then start seeing outbreaks and these air predominantly happening in poor communities in urban areas, where Um poor communities are living in proud of conditions and are Out of reach of access to health care and don't have routine visits to doctors, for instance, and in those areas. CDC, epidemiologists and others start to realize that people just aren't getting backstage at the same rate. So we had this sort of push and pull throughout the late fifties into the sixties and by the seven years Polio vaccination was really widespread among Children, and by that time we had enough immune adults that it became most important to focus on Children, and we were capturing them at that point, largely through laws that required vaccination for school. In the 19 seventies, However, it gradually became clear that the remaining cases of polio in the country where those caused by the live virus vaccine Which sometimes lead to community transmission of polio virus as the virus was, shed said, for example, in the fecal matter of Children So we then started to move away from that vaccine and switch back to the Salk vaccine and effectively finally got to a place where we had no more polio in this country. So we have about 10 minutes left, and I want to spend that last 10 minutes talking about the lessons for today. Let's begin with President Trump just a few days ago, talking about the development of vaccines. Tremendous progress is being made on vaccines. In fact, we have ready to go in terms of transportation and logistics way have over two million ready to go if it checks out for safety..

To features focused on during the devices introduction where the always on all tinder and the blood oxygen sensor. Not sure why always on is important for an intimidator unless you're worried about rock climbing in your sleep Apple says the always on ultimate provides real time elevation all day long by using a new more power efficient, barometric, ultimate her along with GPS and nearby Wi fi networks. This feature allows for the detection of small. Changes above ground level up and down to the measurement of one foot. And can be shown as a new watch face complication or workout metric. More life and death or the blood oxygen sensor and is associated APP. Apple says, series six measures the oxygen saturation of the users blood. So they can better understand their overall fitness and wellness. Oxygen saturation or S P o two represents the percentage of oxygen being carried by red blood cells from the lungs to the rest of the body and indicates how well this oxygenated blood is being delivered throughout the body. And how it works is really cool according to Apple's presentation. The sensors are basically checking the color of the blood as it passes by. That color indicates how oxygenated the blood is, which is free again. Amazing. Speaking of colors for the to apple watches I've owned I've chosen brushed aluminum. It's easy to match with just about anything. But if you have a signature color or don't care about matching or. Planned to have plenty of apple watches on hand to put on your wrist Apple Watch now comes in the couple of colorful colors. For. The first time says apple a new blue color. Solo Lupus a continuous end stretchable ban design that says comes into materials, soft silicone and braided yarn. Nine sizes for those. Apples supposed to have a size guide on its site. Checking Apple side it looks like Sport Band is just making room not seeding the field. Both sport? Band and Solo loop available to order as of now, there's also said to be a first of its kind leather link that wraps around the rest held in place with flexible molded magnets. Nikewatch gets everything we've talked about already plus a new Nike face and new colors for the Nike Sport Band and Nike Sport Loop. Same goes for Apple Watch air MAS- as far as improvements the hardware it's stainless steel cases come and silver or space black paired with single or Dubna, tour styles and an assortment of vibrant new colors. Now about the only thing predictions got wrong for Apple Watch as E was its name. leakers had thought that that was shorthand that it'd be called something simple like apple. Watch. Apple Watch S E is the budget chronometers name. Well mid range chronometer Apple Watch series three is the true budget model still out there selling for one hundred, ninety, nine bucks. An apples press release apple CEO Jeff Williams was quoted as saying Apple Watch S E combines elements of the series six design with the most essential features of Apple Watch, all at a more affordable price. No Blood Oxygen Sensor and no, always on display. It does sport the always on all temperature though because apple is taking this sleep climbing thing seriously. Looking at the hardware sports the same size displays as the Apple Watch series five.
