"His riding left up a wall. You're listening to the Ben Shapiro show. Time right now is four thirty we are tracking severe weather right now. We have tornado warnings until five fifteen for cook will and lake counties. That's right. The Illinois Indiana line. Let's get to Martirano from the national weather service, ACOG. Oh heights. Looked like it was getting some of the worst of it, Mark really concerned about the sock area. Right now, we do have thunderstorms. Got pronounced hook on it moving right towards that area. Right now tornado warnings squarely in that area for the poor county as well. Saint Joseph county. We've got a tornado warning to five PM central time it's gonna run the warnings down real quick. Then we'll talk about the cells individually tornado warning for, for Cook County as well as will county that's going to go until five o'clock is well, the LaSalle in Lee county till four forty five. Let's talk about the Cook County one that's near the sock area right now, looking we look at this thing called correlation coefficient that tells us if there's other things besides rain and hail inside the storm. And I'm getting somewhat of a positive correlation. Coefficient on the set means or might be non meteorological targets, maybe things such as trees or something like that being lofted into the storm. So if you're in sauk village or Geijer, definitely a basement immediately, right now those interior room without windows, the storm's gonna pass very close to Griffith as well as Highland the hill. Core moving smack right over those two towns over the next few minutes. And again, the, the hook echo signature between Dyer and Saint John's here in about the next ten to fifteen minutes five dire, I'd be in a very safe spot. Right now, could have a possible tornado on the ground coming your way, potentially, according to the radar, and according to spotters also another very dangerous looking severe thunderstorm around the port Indiana. This is moving off to the east northeast this moving right along or close to where the toll roads are headed over into Indiana. And if this were to hold together, it could be in south bend, potentially as we head through the next hour or so, with some large hail at a minimum and potentially tornado somewhere rain wrapped in that storm. Now out to the west. We also have got some tornado warnings that are west of Chicago these storms. Look like they're a little weaker than they were on the last scan. But still, we've got a tornado warning central southeastern Lee county, that's gonna go until again, talked about till four forty five. So that's what we know right now. Juliet, you're in the clear at the moment places like that. But it's from that area around Highland Griffith heading northwest Indiana, some dangerous stuff, moving and right now with some large hail at a minimum possibly a tornado somewhere and also not to be discounted. We've had numerous reports of St. way and roadway flooding with storms, they moved on by some flash flood warnings out across the area right now flash flood warning continues for east central Cook County until five fifteen about another forty five minutes. A lot of us are coming back from the holiday weekend. If you're listening, if you're coming back, from the Chicago area from the north or the east, you're going to be running right into this. So just be very observant of what's going on. Just got a confirmation here on fodder. Confirmed tornado near east sauk trail in the state line. Just west of dire moving towards the northeast. There's a debris. All we were talking about in the sock in dire areas moving off to the northeast confirmed tornado on the ground in this area can't stress this enough takeover immediately basement Lois interior room without windows, the entire area, the entire listening area continues to remain in a tornado watch until nine pm this evening. This means conditions continue to look favorable for additional severe thunderstorms might have some large hail and damaging winds right now. The back edge of the severe weather threat, the west portion of the severe weather threat is located from DeKalb down a Pontiac once those storms go by that are out to our west, that's going to Mark the end of the severe weather threat. We still have a couple more hours tower in that more stable air. So keep it right here. Let's not going on some dangerous stuff happening at the double check. He said, e sauk trail the tornado was confirmed to touch ground. Yes. Voters day at four thirty one. Just a couple of minutes ago, confirmed NATO near east sauk trail in the. State line. Just west of dire moving towards the northeast at about thirty five miles an hour confirmed tornado here. We're going to check back with you as this continues this afternoon. But we've, you know, quite a mess out there and we've already here indeed problems at the airports, as well as for shutting down. So thanks for that update. We appreciate it. Thanks. All right. Right now, we've got our temperatures sixty six at O'Hare at sixty five midway at sixty two degrees. The lakefront, they now four thirty four WLS news is brought to you in part by first American Bank. People are advised, you know, if they're dangerous owns like in LaPorte, Indiana. They are advised to stay indoors seek shelter. We do have a confirmed touchdown. This was from our.
