Yeah, I mean, after you've been locked up for a while, after you can't go out and you've saved a lot of money because you couldn't spend it, you're ready to go. Yeah, you talk about saying the overall savings per household in the banks right now is about 80% more than the pre-pandemic level. That is compared to 2019. And last year, 2022 saw a savings increase about 14%. So people have money in the bank. And I would buy that a big portion of that additional savings will be spent on consumption. So it's actually a typical pattern associated with a pandemic recovery. I want to point out that after the 1919 Spanish flu is over. "And it was thrilling and it was fun to watch. Can you believe this? Couldn't you see that gap? What a shot. He's been great since he was a teenager and he stayed healthy and he just kept doing it. I've just always been drawn to fill and I think golf fans are as well. And for anyone who might have missed it, can you just walk us through his incredible win at the PGA Championship last year? And what made it so special? So as Phil got into his 40s, the victories became infrequent, which happens. And then in 2019 20, his performance dipped even more and partly Phil was obsessed with chasing distance that the games become more and more based on power and you've got all these 20 something studs are coming up and that's the game they grew up playing and people was trying to remake his body and his swing and it seemed a little foolhardy. You know, this is an old man. This guy's middle aged. And yet Phil had his bedrock belief that it would pay off. And so he goes to the 2021 PGA Championship on one of the hardest courses on the planet. The ocean course in key of South Carolina and just summons some of the best golf he's ever played. It seems like he's found his own formula to be able to just lock in deal with each shot. It was precise and his powerful and he had to fight off a lot of great players and on that Sunday he basically became a match play between him and Brooks Koepka was emerge as the best player in golf over the last 5 or 6 years. That we've seen these gigantic shifts 5 times today. Koepka has not lost his focus one bit to this entire time. And somehow Phil just used all of his know how and all these wily veteran moves and he just got it done. You're not kidding. Kilauea erupts. You were kind of at a near of COVID and so those were the first big crowds in a long time, and there was just an energy around that tournament that was incredible. And the fans just busted loose on the 18th hole and they sworn Phil coming down the fairway and these really iconic images that spoke to the joy that he instills engulf and actually they've lost control of the scene. Yeah. They indeed have. He fought his way through the crowd and he got to the green and he finished off this incredible victory. Here it is. The biggest moment of a legendary career failed to feats father time. Telling that was going to be how we would always remember Phil Mickelson, but it turned out to be more complicated than that. All right, well that brings us to this Saudi Arabia controversy in which UL and have played a big part. Now, before we get into Phil's comments, can you just give us a little background on Mickelson's relationship with Saudi Arabia and his interest in a Saudi backed league? So the PJ tour has had a monopoly on big time golf in the United States, pretty much forever. And the tours become a little complacent and the product's gotten a little stale and the players have felt like they haven't had a voice in a lot of things. And it's a slow moving monolithic organization that hasn't totally adapted to the changing media landscape. And so there's been this low grade frustration among, especially the top players, but they don't have a union, their independent contractors, as they love to say, they get to pick and choose their own schedule. So Saudi Arabia is part of its kind of large scale sports watching efforts decided that they wanted to found first a golf tournament over there, which had become part of the European tour schedule. And then they came up with this idea to come up with a whole league and it was an existential threat to the PGA Tour here in America because the Saudis have unlimited money and what they were offering was significantly larger than what anybody's playing for in the U.S.. The Saudi Arabian backed Super League golf is offered upwards of $30 million contracts to some of the tourist top players, including world number one Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Justin rose and Phil Mickelson. Phil became very enmeshed in this effort by the Saudis to get this off the ground. It's really a fun challenge and when the wind comes up, it's very playable. I really enjoy the golf course and enjoy playing here. Then he was involved in all these secret dealings with them at the same time he was going back to the tour and trying to use that leverage to cut better deals for himself and other players as far as their meteorites and really pushing the tour to have more money flow back to the players. You know, Phil saw himself as this agent of change. It was going to reshape the whole landscape of professional golf. And when Phil called me up in November, he told me everything and he was quite blunt in his discussion of the Saudis. You know, he acknowledged their atrocities in executing gay citizens and that they assassinated Jamal Khashoggi was a Washington Post reporter and a resident of the United States. And would you basically said, you know what? That doesn't matter because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to reshape professional golf. And I have to use this leverage while I have it. I respected the candor, you know, everyone goes over there and takes the Saudis money and they talk about, oh, I'm just I'm trying to grow the game and BS and everybody knows it. They say, oh, I'm a golfer. I'm not a politician and feel quite candidly was a politician here. He was engaging in brinksmanship between these two very powerful entities. The Saudis and the PGA Tour. And so as this was all coming to a boil and February of 2022, the Saudis were about to launch make a public announcement of their new league and one of the biggest questions in professional golf was what does Phil want? Because everyone knew who he's at the center of all of this, but it wasn't clear what his role was. And among professional typists, I was the only one who knew that answer. And so we dropped an excerpt from the book and the backlash was substantial for Phil. This morning, the 6 time major champion has lost key sponsors KPMG and M stell light, following incendiary comments he made in favor of a golf tour backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund. The world golf Hall of Famer told journalist Alan ship nook, the author of an upcoming unauthorized biography of Mickelson that he would support the new league even though the Saudis are scary to get involved with. He said, we know they killed Khashoggi and have a horrible record on human rights. They execute people over there for being gay. Knowing all of this, why would I even consider it? Because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to reshape how the PGA Tour operates. They went around the world. I mean, I was interviewed by the BBC by Al Jazeera and just an onslaught of coverage and I think Phil really failed to understand the emotion around Saudi Arabia. I mean, the assassination of Khashoggi is a big moment and it's pretty recent. And you take a little further back. I mean, 15 of the 19 9 11 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia. There's a lot of Americans who just find it unforgivable to get in bed with them and fills mine. This was just strictly business, but I think golf fans and even casual observers felt a lot differently. And the PGA Tour's position and many of his colleagues felt like he was subverting their own interest for his own. And that was why his colleagues were so pissed off. You got to speak for me and, you know, he's an amazing career. He obviously thinks that there's something else on the other side form going down the line and if he gets a great image, he's made, you know, $800 million in the tour. I don't.

"While Matt, we had a rare soft spot on the calendar on Monday. No one be a playoffs and no NHL playoffs. So what did you do with yourself? Yeah, it was real weird tiff, and I briefly entertained the idea of going for a long pensive walk in the Woods or something like that. You know, cleanse the mind. But to avoid being alone with my thoughts for too long, I absolutely had to plant myself in front of some sort of sporting contest. So I would just like to say thank you to all of Monday's Major League Baseball games for carrying me on through. I appreciate it. Good thing the lockout ended quickly or else you would be in big trouble. Yes, no doubt. Okay, let's get into the headlines, starting in the NFL, where there were some very large dollar figures thrown around on Monday, specifically in Green Bay, as the packers made pro bowler, jair Alexander the highest paid cornerback in the league, it is a four year 84 million extension that includes a 30 million signing bonus, which is, by the way, a record among defensive backs. The packers showing Jagger Alexander just how much they missed him after a season where he played in just four regular season games due to his shoulder injury. You know Matt, after the packers traded wide receiver Devante Adams to the Raiders, everyone was waiting to see how Green Bay would fix their fairly weak receiving corps. And instead, GM Brian guda kunst has gone all in on the defense, along with making Alexander the highest paid corner in the league, as you mentioned, the packers also use their two first round picks in this year's draft to get linebacker clay walker and defensive tackle devonte Wyatt. And this off season, they signed or re signed defensive tackle, Jaron Reed, quarterback wrestle Douglas, and linebacker Devon Drake Campbell, as packers linebacker Preston Smith tweeted shortly after the Alexander deal was confirmed, quote, what wins championships. But going back to Alexander, despite getting paid serious money, Bill huber of packer central reports, the move will free up over $6 million in cap space giving Green Bay the opportunity to pursue veteran wideouts like OBJ will fuller and Julio Jones. So it looks like securing the defense might actually be the answer to solving their big hole on offense. I can't wait until, by the way, that just go in on more defensive players with that 6 million. But I'm not gonna lie. Odell Beckham junior and Aaron Rodgers would be a pretty intriguing combo. So I would enjoy that. Now we head to the NHL where there was more big coaching news on Monday as the Vegas golden knights fired their head coach Peter deboer after they missed out on the playoffs for the first time since their founding in 2017. Dubois was first hired by Vegas in 2019 in amassed a very impressive record of 98 50 and 12 and three seasons in charge. Yeah, and when you look at his cumulative record, it does seem like a harsh firing, but another way to look at this is this team was one of the last four teams standing, each of the last two seasons. So expectations are high in Vegas for them to go further than that, and then they miss the playoffs entirely. When you look at it that way, it just feels like a huge disappointment. And by the way, one name that has already been mentioned as a potential replacement is recently fired islanders coach Barry trotz, who led the capitals to a Stanley Cup win over Vegas during the golden knights storybook first season all the way back in a year called 2018. I barely remember it. And looking ahead of Tuesday night, the second round of the playoffs gets underway with the blues meeting the avalanche and an all Florida showdown with the two time defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay lightning, taking on the Florida Panthers. I'm a mere one stayed away here, tiff and I could feel the anticipation building. One key storyline to follow, by the way, is an injury. Lightning center brayden point is me called doubtful for game one due to a lower body injury. He sustained that in the game 7, opening round win over the Toronto Maple Leafs point was the lightning's leading goal scorer during their back to back, Stanley Cup runs, and here's his teammate, Alex killorn, talking about the challenge of not having point to start this series. It's a next man up mentality. He obviously pointer brings a ton to this team. I think you guys know how much he brings. But that's just kind of the adversity that we have to deal with here. But he's a big time player. He makes a lot of big time plays, so it'll be tough to replace him. Meanwhile, on the other side of this matchup, the Panthers had the best regular season record in the NHL, where the top goal is scoring team in the league and got knocked out of the playoffs by their interstate rival last season, so we will be on the lookout for some fireworks here. Speaking of fireworks, a rivalry is on a verge of exploding. Yeah, it's okay. Moving to the links on Monday, the fire pit collective reported that Hall of Fame golfer Jack Nicklaus was offered over $100 million to help create and promote the Saudi backed L IV golf league. Nicholas said quote, I turned it down. Once verbally, once in writing, I said guys, I have to stay with the PGA Tour. I helped start the PGA Tour. What do you make of this tiff? Well, one of the big takeaways here is that former pro golfer Greg Norman, who was named the commissioner of the LA V golf league back in October, was not the Saudis first choice to be the face of the league. So for those who are unaware, this new golf league, which is backed by Saudi Arabia, is trying to rival the PGA Tour in entice players with millions of dollars in prize money. Now, Phil Mickelson is one of the biggest names to support the league, but after a pretty large public backlash to comment to me back in February, he has been more or less in PJ exile, including opting out of the PGA Championship this weekend. But big name golfers, including Bryce and dechambeau and Dustin Johnson have announced their allegiance to the PGA Tour with Rory McIlroy even saying golf league was, quote, dead in the water. Wow. And actually, we're doing a full episode about Phil Mickelson on Wednesday's episode of the lead, it will go into detail about his gambling habits, his ties with the Saudi backed league and more. We gotta say that sounds extremely spicy. Oh, it is. All right, let's head over to the NBA where game one of the Eastern Conference Finals between the number one seed Miami Heat and the number two seed Boston Celtics, tips off tonight. Yes. There is point guard related injury news on both sides of this. As Marcus smart is questionable as of this taping due to a mid foot sprain and Kyle Lowry is out with his hamstring injury for Miami. So strap which team will be more impacted here. You know, we've been seeing players play through questionable tags in these playoffs. So, I mean, with that in mind, you'd kind of expect smart to play, but if for some reason he's out or even limited, I think it's pretty clear that this is a bigger deal for Boston. Then Lowry's absence is from Miami. The heat are actually 6 O without Lowry this postseason. Meanwhile, big picture here, one big aspect of this series I'm watching for is the physicality and heat coach Eric spoelstra gave us a sneak preview of that when he invokes the name of Pat Riley on Monday. Pat probably is really going to enjoy this. This is like a throwback series. I mean, if both teams are really on top of their games, this shouldn't be a series where either team is going a 130 points. Okay, so you like scoring. Well, you can take your rooting interest elsewhere because these two teams are apparently much more focused on bludgeoning each other into submission. To that end, the over under for game one as a Monday evening was just 203 and a half points. That is the lowest I've seen throughout these playoffs so far for any game. So yeah, it could be ugly, but maybe on the plus side, it'll be a nice palette cleanser from what will probably be a much higher scoring Western Conference Finals. I don't know, I'm trying. Also, I personally can not wait to see how the already embattled NBA refs respond to a series this physical. It's going to be agonizing and probably a really competitive series at the same time. So yeah, bring it on. With respect to spell, I like scoring. But if there's going to be a physical showdown in Miami, you know, that's good TV too. Okay, let's end this thing with some good old fashioned gambling news tiff and by that. All right. I mean a completely wild high profile wager on Monday. Reports came out that gallery furniture owner and big time sports better Jim mcingvale or mattress Mack as he is better known plays two bets totaling $4 million on the Houston Astros to win the World Series this year, a bet that could pay out an absurd $42 million if the straws get it done. Yeah, even if you're not from Texas, you may know mattress Mack because of his exorbitant sports bets like wagering $1.5 million on epicenter at this.

"The Saudi backed league says broadcasters are interested For more we're joined by Bloomberg news media reporter Jerry Smith Jerry welcome to the show Thanks for having me Well first I have to start with the controversy involved with the Saudi tournament I mean Phil Mickelson kind of got into trouble with all of that when the comments he said what are the odds that this is really going to take off Well they announced their schedule They're going to have 8 tournaments in multiple continents One of the tournaments is going to be held at Donald wanted Donald Trump's courses in bedminster New Jersey So releasing a schedule is certainly a step towards reality But there's some important things missing One of which is they don't have any players that have committed to playing in these tournaments yet They sent out invitations to about 250 players this week They're also still looking for a broadcast partner So this is still remains to be seen how much of a reality this is but releasing a schedule of events is certainly a step in the right direction Okay it's becoming closer to reality but if no one's agreed to participate yet that's a big hole to fill What is the controversy over actually participating Is it because then they can't play in the PGA Tour Yeah there's some legal question of whether the PGA Tour could possibly suspend or ban players that participate in these events So it hasn't been declared yet There's a possibility There's a possibility Apparently in the PGA Tour's player handbook it lays out the potential that they could players could face a suspension or ban for participating in such an event Greg Norman actually sent a very strongly worded letter to the commissioner of the PGA Tour recently saying that you can't do that So there's some legal question about whether the players can participate there's certainly a lot of money that is going to be involved in these events This new golf tour is backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund So they have very very deep pockets and so that could be a way to attract some players to participate It's also not just a potential threat to PGA Tour but also the PGA Tour's broadcast partners You think about CBS and NBC and ESPN that have paid a lot of money for the rights to air the DGA tour events and suddenly you've got tournaments that could be competing for those eyeballs I don't see this as a threat to the PGA Tour Do you see it in any way as a threat to the PGA Tour For now I mean if they don't have any of the marquee players that are involved I don't think the PGA Tour has much to worry about So you think about some of the biggest names in golf right now Brooks Koepka Bryson DeChambeau as long as they are still committed to the PGA Tour and they don't they don't plan these events I think it's going to be hard to get much interest from fans Now the league has committed $250 million to prize purses how is that compared to the persons you would see on the PGA or the women's golf tour Certainly larger purses So that would be the one the one thing that could potentially get these players to break off in playing some of these events is just the sheer amount of money involved This new golf tour also is claiming to have a different format that's going to be a little more entertaining for viewers Instead of 72 holes it's only 54 holes and the amount of time that the TV viewer would have to spend watching golf is going to be shorter just by the format And it's a team event So it's a little bit different But yeah I mean it's a lot of money And that would be the big you know the big poll but I mean the PGA Tour there's these players are the top players are enormously rich And whether they're actually money is motivating them or the fact that they're competing for tournaments that have a lot of historical relevance to them is also a factor So I understand the argument for bigger purses maybe enticing players But the format that you talk about these 54 whole events lynching would a 54 hole event and what the golf tournament is calling shotgun starts to ensure a faster and more exciting pace results in a better product on TV screens Do you think I don't think so Jerry you probably agree with me There's nothing like the drama Look at what just happened this past weekend with the TPC down at the player's championship Rain delays Everybody wanted 72 holes 54 holes to me just reeks of the champions tour Shotgun start to me reeks of a charity golf event and nothing more Yeah I mean I think that golf is a sport that has just a lot of history And I think a lot of fans of the game really appreciate going back to the same venues every year The traditions of the game including 72 whole format That's part of why people tune in I think it'll be interesting to see who they end up getting to actually show these tournaments They're talking about getting interest from global streaming services Which is a pretty short list I mean you think about Amazon Prime Video Apple Netflix which Netflix hasn't really gotten into live sports before could they potentially do this I think if they just have to get players involved but they have to find somebody to broadcast this to a wide audience and that's another challenge You know sorry to go off on a tangent but I was reading a comment from someone who said look at the fact that Netflix which has data on everything that is broadcast able Look at the fact that it has not gone into live sports That should tell you how it's not a good business plan for a broadcaster for a "The Saudi backed league says broadcasters are interested For more we're joined by Bloomberg news media reporter Jerry Smith Jerry welcome to the show Thanks for having me Well first I have to start with the controversy involved with the Saudi tournament I mean Phil Mickelson kind of got into trouble with all of that when the comments he said what are the odds that this is really going to take off Well they announced their schedule They're going to have a tournament in multiple continents One of the tournaments is going to be held at Donald wanted Donald Trump's courses in bedminster New Jersey So releasing a schedule is certainly a step towards reality But there's some important things missing one of which is they don't have any players that have committed to playing in these tournaments yet They sent out invitations to about 250 players this week They're also still looking for a broadcast partner So this is still remains to be seen how much of a reality this is But releasing a schedule of events is certainly a step in the right direction Okay it's becoming closer to reality but if no one's agreed to participate yet that's a big hole to fill What is the controversy over actually participating Is it because then they can't play in the PGA Tour Yeah there's some legal question of whether the PGA Tour could possibly suspend or ban players that participate in these events So it hasn't been declared yet There's a possibility There's a possibility Apparently in the PGA Tour's player handbook it lays out the potential that they could players could face a suspension or ban for participating in such an event Greg Norman actually sent a very strongly worded letter to the commissioner of the PGA Tour recently saying that you can't do that So there's some legal question about whether the players can participate there's certainly a lot of money that is going to be involved in these events This new golf tour is backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund So they have very very deep pockets and so that could be a way to attract some players to participate It's also not just a potential threat to PGA Tour but also the PGA Tour's broadcast partners You think about CBS and NBC and ESPN that have paid a lot of money for the rights to the PGA Tour events and suddenly you've got tournaments that could be competing for those eyeballs I don't see this as a threat to the PGA Tour Do you see it in any way as a threat to the PGA Tour For now I mean if they don't have any of the marquee players that are involved I don't think the PGA Tour has much to worry about So you think about some of the biggest names in golf right now Brooks Koepka Bryson DeChambeau as long as they are still committed to the PGA Tour and they don't they don't plan these events I think it's going to be hard to get much interest from fans Now the league has committed $250 million to prize purses how is that compared to the person you would see on the PGA or the women's golf tour Certainly larger purses So that would be the one the one thing that could potentially get these players to break off in playing some of these events is just the sheer amount of money involved This new golf tour also is claiming to have a different format that's going to be a little more entertaining for viewers Instead of 72 holes it's only 54 holes and the amount of time that the TV viewer would have to spend watching golf is going to be shorter just by the format And it's a team event So it's a little bit different But yeah I mean it's a lot of money And that would be the big you know the big poll but I mean the PGA Tour there's these players are many of the top players are enormously rich And whether they're actually money is motivating them or the fact that they're competing for tournaments that have a lot of historical relevance to them is also a factor So I understand the argument for bigger purses maybe enticing players But the format that you talk about these 54 whole events lynching would a 54 hole event and what the golf tournament is calling shotgun starts to ensure a faster and more exciting pace results in a better product on TV screens Do you think I don't think so Jerry you're probably agree with me There's nothing like the drama Look at what just happened this past weekend with the TPC down at the player's championship Rain delays Everybody wanted 72 holes 54 holes to me just reeks of the champions tour Shotgun start to me reeks of a charity golf event and nothing more Yeah I mean I think that golf is a sport that has just a lot of history And I think a lot of fans of the game really appreciate going back to the same venues every year the traditions of the game including 72 whole format That's part of why people tune in I think it'll be interesting to see who they end up getting to actually show these tournaments They're talking about getting interest from global streaming services Which is a pretty short list I mean you think about Amazon Prime Video Apple Netflix which Netflix hasn't really gotten into live sports before could they potentially do this I think if they just have to get players involved but they have to find somebody to broadcast this to a wide audience and that's another challenge You know sorry to go off on a tangent but I was reading a comment from someone who said look at the fact that Netflix which has data on everything that is broadcast able Look at the fact that it has not gone into live sports That should tell you how it's not a good business plan for a broadcaster for a streamer Yeah Netflix has so far not gotten into live sports but I mean just in the last few weeks we saw Apple get into sports broadcasting for the first time with this Major League "Is a good question. That's a good question from the reporter whoever asked that. Right. This league is offering Ian poulter $30 million to join their league. They have so much money to spread around that they are offering Ian poulter who just hasn't been that relevant on the PJ tour or outside of his Ferrari's not getting delivered on Instagram. He's just he's just not in the sphere of relevancy. Like if Ian poulter signs up for this Saudi back league, is that like gangbusters? Are they popping champagne because they got Ian poulter? I just $30 million. That is really the barometer for how much money these guys have. If they're offering that amount to him. Makes me think that I've always thought money makes no sense, and I don't think it does make sense. We just continuously keep printing money and we're trillions of dollars in debt, but we still have money, money still equals something, is it gold? Money, we still have, I don't even know if we have gold anymore. Now we're just beyond that. We're just making printing money. It just makes me think the Saudi backed league is quite literally making money. They have infinite money, right? They can just, there's a place I'm picturing some place where they just go in and they hit a button and just money, just like literally comes out of a machine and they just put it in a bag and they go and just well, this is fully outside my scope and maybe rigs can speak to better. I believe it's oil money. Right. I would also love to know like when you were talking about, okay, so he's getting 22 or what the offer was. Like that Venn diagram that DW was talking about of like the pockets of people. I just started Googling like crazy golfers out there. Like, who's taking that money? Because there's somebody. And I would say there's a couple people that are jumping in on this thing..

"What are we talking about here? And here's and that's right. And I think everyone could probably sense there's a lot of excitement in my voice because it's shitty and crazy as all this is. It's fantastic, like the drama and amazing craziness behind it is fucking awesome and I think a couple things. One, which hit on is the leverage thing, right? Phil, many times throughout the couple interviews that he's posted that went crazy last week. Talked about leverage. And Phil is a very smart calculated man. He's always thinking two or three steps ahead. There's no way he says the things that he said that he used obnoxious greed without understanding how it's going to come off and having a pretty good idea of what road that's going to lead the conversation down. So I think leverage is the main point and he understands that he actually said, you know, the tour only understands leverage now the players are getting some of that, so he knows that this probably the best vantage, the best thing that he can use this whole Saudi back league for is leverage so they can get XYZ. It's already worked to a degree with the pit pool and $50 million they're going to play for now. It's already clearly worked to a degree and they're going to hope as the players that it works more. What I love about this whole situation, the reason I'm excited about it is because every single side of this thing, there are parts you could agree with and be like, yeah, they make a lot of sense, and there are parts where you could be like, these fucking people or the shittiest idiots in the world. And, you know, a big part, right with the PGA Tour. We're talking about right now. We're defending the PGA Tour against Phil Mickelson, but also we despise most of the PGA tours policies and qualities. When we went to the president's cup, and we got the viral video of us with Tiger Woods that set the whole golf media oldman golf world on fire like the only way we were able to get that was to negotiate with tour technically that was in like an interview area. Tiger fucking Woods walked by us in fist pump dust for 30 seconds festivals for 30 seconds. We have to get like approval to put, what are you talking about? How can we need approval to put that anywhere? We needed serious approval to the point where golf TV, golf digest. We're calling the PGA Tour media crew being like, you can't allow these videos to be out. They have to be taken down..

"And I don't want to sound like I'm on the side of the PJ tour because what Phil is talking about essentially is massive disruption, and we love disruption. If media didn't have disruption, we wouldn't exist. That's a way to enter the space. I don't know. Sometimes when Phil talks, like he wants he sounds very smart and big idea here and people are clearly talking about these quotes and they're very interesting. I just don't know, I don't know if it's realistic at all. And maybe it's realistic for a guy like Phil, Phil Mickelson might be one of the guys on tour who was in a position to start his own network, start his own channel, start his own media company, and there's going to be enough eyeballs and there's going to be enough money and there's going to be enough people willing to help him that he can get it done, but he's one of what 8 guys on tour who could potentially do this. So I just don't know what the idea actually is. I like that there's no ideas getting thrown around. I'll tell you that. As shitty and horrible as the Saudi backed league is in a lot of ways, he mentioned this to fill that it creates leverage for the PGA Tour players because it's a different option for players. So that all I understand, but this huge idea that we're just going to get rid of meteorites and we're going to give them all to the players and they're all going to handle it. That seems like not that realistic. Yeah, what, I mean, Phil kind of reminded me of myself where he said a lot of words and some of them made sense and he lost a lot of people with some other quotes. I mean, there's lines here that Riggs kind of laid out for us that Phil said and line three here where he talks about how the Tor charges him a $1 million each time he's played in the match, which is an exhibition that he went out and essentially did, right? Like this was something that they did as an exhibition and they got they got their talent and they figured out the new structure and it's something completely totally different than.

"In Sopranos. Did you fucking make a noodles? Is that what they said? Yeah. My dad respects me more than I'm a cigar guy. Yeah, he's a big scar guy and I sent him a bunch of maca noodles and then when I was back between the Vegas trip and the Ryder Cup when I was back home, I stopped back for like a day or two. Smoked a couple Mac and noodles with him and he didn't outright say it, but I could feel that he was like, this guy's all right. You know? It's been 30 plus years and you know, it's been touching. You never know exactly how they feel. But then when you're sitting out on the porch, finally proud of my son after watching the weather come in. Yeah, this guy's not that bad. Yeah, he's like, all right. I accept this guy as my son, which I really appreciate. It wasn't always clear, but today it is. No, it was not. Mcadoo too, I think because always left me with more of a celebratory feel about my round, right? Like no matter how it's going, you could play horribly. You could be feeling down on yourself. You need a maca noodle in your hands and it feels like you're celebrating something. Feels like you're adding a little bit of positive connotation to the entire experience. So first thing we did when I broke 100 was we smoke. So yeah, they are. Fired them up, baby. All right, I got an interesting from the gallery that ties into a lot of things. For play a partial sports dot com. You could submit these and we'll read them debate and talk about them on this very podcast right here called foreplay. So we were talking about the Greg Norman situation last week, the Saudi league, tons and tons of money being offered to players. How do you balance that? How do you weigh that with obviously ones moral objection to Saudi backing and their history and how they treat people? So someone submitted a few different people submitted things similar, so I kind of combined it, but I'm going to take Andrews who said, if the new Saudi golf Super League offered each four play member $10 million for the next 5 years and the four man scramble competes in films exclusive exclusively in the Saudi backed league, what do you guys do? 10 million bucks each? $10 million each person. Yeah, I'll see you inside. Or just the whole thing. Right. That was 5 years. $10 million for 5 over 5 years. So 2 million a year. Yeah. We exclusively four man scramble competes exclusively films exclusively and does our whole and we can win too. I'll be in Saudi. You just find me inside. Yeah. Yeah, but part of when we talk about the four minutes scramble competing in these tournaments, it's because of the people who are also in the tournament, right? So like the way that's going right now, there aren't a lot of guys jumping over to the Saudi leaks. So it's not like we're going to have the same sort of cachet that we're getting if we were to be in a John Deere classic a prestigious tournament like that. So Trent, I don't know what matters because we're making we each, I mean, we're bringing in $42 million for the boys over 5 years..
