Radioactive capsule that fell off truck found in Australia

"Authorities in Western Australia say they've recovered a tiny but dangerous radioactive capsule that fell off a truck while being transported along an 870 mile highway. Officials say the capsule, the size of a pea, was found south of Newman on the great northern highway. It was detected by a search vehicle traveling at 43 mph when specialist equipment picked up radiation emitting from the capsule, emergency services minister Stephen Dawson says this is like finding a needle in a haystack the capsule contains caesium one three 7 ceramic sauce. Today in History: January 24

"Time now for today in history, January 24. Two dozen. Here's time. This is kind of interesting. In 19 22, Columbus sailed the ocean blue over a hundred years ago. A guy from Iowa named Christian K Nelson invented something. Anybody remember what mister Nelson invented? The paper clip. No. The accu Jack. Nope. He invented the Eskimo pie. Oh. I don't think that should count. Food being invented shouldn't count. No, he created. No, the Eskimo pie. This is chocolate sauce frozen on ice cream. What year was that? 1922. Right? So I think Asia is taking exception with it. Don't eskimos get all mad now when you see this. So I Googled this and I found out that the Eskimo pies name has been canceled. The famous chocolate covered ice cream bar is getting a new name. It is now known as the edes pie. Edy apostrophe has edes pie. You know, one of the most successful teams in the CFL, Canadian football league, used to be the Edmonton eskimos. What do they know? They're now the elks. Edmonton elks, that's pretty cool. Edmonton elks. Okay. So yeah, that name is apparently not especially well liked and you have a tribute pad? Sure, sure. Bye bye to the Eskimo pie. I hear the names and sensitive, but I'm not sure why. They took away my ice cream back in July. Klondike klondike bar I'll give you a try. To pronounce it properly next time.

Day 339 of The Bible in a Year: Priscilla and Aquila

"Acts chapter 18. First Corinthians, chapter 16, and proverb chapter 28 versus 19 21. The acts of the apostles, chapter 18 Paul and Corinth. After this, he left Athens and went to Corinth, and he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of pontus, lately come from Italy with his wife Priscilla because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. And he went to see them, and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them, and they worked, for by trade, they were tent makers. And he argued in the synagogue every Sabbath and persuaded Jews and Greeks. When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with preaching, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus. And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them, your blood to be upon your heads. I am innocent. From now on, I will go to the gentiles. And he left there and went to the house of a man named titius, justice, a worshipper of God. His house was next door to the synagogue. Christmas, the ruler of the synagogue believed in the lord together with all his household, and many of the Corinthians, hearing Paul believed, and were baptized. And the lord said to Paul one night in a vision. Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not be silent. For I am with you, and no man shall attack you to harm you for I have many people in this city. And he stayed a year in 6 months, teaching the word of God among them. But when gallio was pro counsel of achaia, the Jews made a united attack upon Paul and brought him before the tribunal, saying, this man is persuading men to worship God contrary to the law. But when Paul was about to open his mouth, gallio said to the Jews. If it were a matter of wrongdoing or vicious crime, I should have reason to bear with you, oh Jews. But since it is a matter of questions about words and names and your own law, see to it yourselves. I refuse to be a judge of these things. And he drove them from the tribunal, and they all seized sauce the knees, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal, but gallio paid no attention to this. Paul's return to Antioch. After this, Paul stayed many days longer, and then took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria and with him Priscilla and Aquila. He cut his hair for he had a vow. And they came to Ephesus, and he left them there. But he himself went into the synagogue and argued with the Jews. When they asked him to stay for a longer period, he declined. But on taking leave of them, he said, I will return to you if God wills. And he set sail from Ephesus. When he had landed at caesarea, he went up and greeted the church, and then went down to Antioch. After spending some time there, he departed, and went from place to place through the region of galatia and phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

There's Things That We Have to Be Thankful For...

"There's things that we have to be thankful for. Do not forget to count your blessings. Don't let stress in the perception of depression to make you forget all of the wonderful things that God has done in your life, all of your great accomplishments, you've got to look at the good with the bad. But be thankful. This is your opportunity to be thankful. And I just want to give some context to Thanksgiving. I know a lot of people may not understand the true history of it. People may only think that Thanksgiving is about neck bones, collard greens, chitlins, at least that's what I remember Thanksgiving to be. However, my wife refused to cook me chitlins. But I understand they smell like crap. So she don't want to cook them. But anybody out there that know how good chitlins is when you put some hot sauce on it, especially y'all people from the south, you know what I'm talking about. I'll miss those chipmunk. But let me just read this to you. And I think this is very well laid out. My producer sent it to me and I think that it was pretty good. It says, let us let all give thanks to what we are thankful for. In autumn of 1621, Plymouth colony governor William Bradford urged his brethren to observe a Thanksgiving Day observations observance, I'm sorry, for God's harvest, blessings with pilgrims and Native Americans who helped him. In 1777, after the Revolutionary War, victory over the British at the Sarah Saratoga, the second Continental Congress declared that there should be a day of Thanksgiving.

I respect him, but man, they just, they drinking the sauce, man. They drink in the sauce. I've noticed that minorities black people specifically wear masks more than anybody else when I see them. Per CAPiTA more than anybody else when I see them traveling. Why is that the case? Why is it that black people are wearing masks more than anybody else? Ladies and gentlemen, call propaganda. It's called, that tells you how much of an influence the mainstream media has on black people. Almost everywhere I go, I see black people wearing masks. The flight attendants wear a mask, the white ones aren't, but the black ones are. You go to the store, the little store in the airport, the black ones are the white ones on. Why is that? It's called brainwashing. They've gotten to the point where they've been able to brainwash black people. Not all, but a lot of them into believing this myth of they're going to just die. I mean, a healthy 20 year old, somebody just going to dial a sudden. Like I said, all these athletes that's in the NFL, playing, hitting each other, they're going out and living their lives. They're in the off season. How many of them have died? If the pandemic was that bad, we would see at least a few really prominent people dying directly from COVID-19.

With several of my other colleagues are calling for defunding the FBI, I know that the press and the left I was going to go after us and say that we're anti police. FDA Warns Against NyQuil Chicken TikTok Challenge

"From the hill dot com and also from CNN, they're saying now that people are cooking chicken in NyQuil. What in the world? Come on. They're literally stewing the chicken. They're marinating the chicken in NyQuil. What you take for the, you know, if you're not feeling very well. I don't know anybody who likes the taste of medicine by itself, let alone as a marinade for chicken. It's beyond me, but apparently this is something happening on the social media. Nothing good ever happens on TikTok. I'm telling you. Nothing ever. This is just like the tide pod all over again challenge. That's exactly what it is. But I mean, on TikTok, all you have are lesbian and transgender school teachers and people who marinate chicken and NyQuil. And eat tide pods. That's pretty much it. So now the FDA is warning people do not marinate your chicken in NyQuil. And they're saying that people could literally die if they marinate their chicken in liquid NyQuil. The fact that some people think this is okay, shows that our country is doomed currently. I've never seen anything like this. Again, NyQuil, this is the nighttime step police sneezing, aching, stuffy head fever, so you can rest medicine. And for the record, if you want to do anything with chicken, you have to marinate it in a lovely bath of buttermilk and hot sauce. You salt and pepper in the chicken, you dredge it in the Martha white flour, and then you put it in a cast iron skillet filled with peanut oil. That is how you prepare your chicken. That is good. You don't drench it in NyQuil. Yuck. I mean, what's next? Sudafed souffle? Benadryl brownies, grace baker. What about a Tylenol turnover? Ew. You know, you're making me lose my lunchtime appetite.

Founder Rick Green Describes the Patriot Academy

"He is the founder of patriot academies, but on this program before Rick green, welcome. Hey, Eric, good to be back, man. Thanks for having me. There is literally nothing more important than this. So I want to know what is your journey when you talk about, I mean, you're a public Christian. And you talk about biblical citizenship, that if you're going to take the Bible seriously, it leads to how you behave as an American citizen. But first of all, quick question, what is the patriot academy before we get into your journey in founding it? Yeah, I mean, I started it back when I was a legislator in Texas and just frustrated with where we were going and how little of the foundation we had and how little people knew what you just described, which is the secret sauce, the secret ingredients to what made America great in the first place and patriot academy now teaches people that secret sauce. So whether it's our biblical citizenship course, being taught in churches across the country or our constitutional defense course, being taught at gun clubs and places like that across the country to teach the Second Amendment, it's all about going back to the founding formula and say, hey, why did America become the most successful, most powerful, most free, most benevolent nation in history? There has to be a reason. There has to be a cause for the effect. And we just lost that completely. The tyranny we saw over the last two years of these petty tyrant governors, people being willing to give up their freedom. Those were horrible, but they were just symptoms. They were symptoms of the underlying cause that had been festering for decades, which is civic and biblical ignorance.

Just like policing, so if I'm not going to make a shirt, I'm not going to make a slogan to say I hate police because there are some dirty cops, then I'm not going to make a slogan to say if the FBI and screw them because there's some dirty people in the FBI. Everyone knows cova blah blah blah but it does feel like it's been like a year of kind of like we're about to going again no okay. Let's just make videos at my house for a few months and then we'll do only the video that we we love it. It's great but it's i'm excited to get out. See all these places. And i i just know that there will be one of my favorite things ever is to have like a Like a busy stretch ended with like a nice reward. Everyone loves you. Know what if. I just get through these three weeks. I was going to be busy. But i'm doing whatever and it's like it'll be that much sweeter so i'm very excited to like you gave yourself. You're the pot of gold the vacation with katie and then right into christmas. Which was the best. Christmas at My parents my parents house is basically spa. I mean you've never seen cleaner. It's like i don't know there might. It's kind of it would be like in one of those athletes documentaries like well. You know she. What if there were any signs like her house was way too early. You know what i mean. It's kind of a serial killer level of clean be settled on baba. Oh it's she's honestly look okay. But it's she cleaned but she could be. He's got an energy now. I see that it's a place. Where like like you hear about these. Like aborigine. Like native american tribes still exists. That like they've never they have not built up like the immune system that we have. It's actually more dangerous to go there. I imagine your parents house kinda thing. No germs live there on the even the good germs. Right you go that you gotta get like an extra vaccine just to go to your parents place. It's to clean surgery on the kitchen counter. It's very they the kind of place where they like mop the garage floor. So that type of yeah. That's nice. it's nice very nice. But i'm not. I'm a sucker for christmas and already got. I've already got on my radar. A little bit was that me. I'm already kind of thinking in just a few months. Our be sipping soup with a santa hat on good alliteration soup. Yeah you like you dress. Up a san antonio thank. You did it last year. So are you like the party or something. I told not to tell people. Oh okay well. The manager of the hotel was actually the one who told me that he saw windows interesting. Yeah i think we honeymooned at the same place jeep we add to. It was a no brainer. But that'll be fun. I'm trying to figure out a place. I'm kind of jealous. You have your pot of gold. I'm trying to figure out someplace to go the to christmas. Your parents i guess. Just go home yeah. We got low. All four grandparents are also kind of in that same area that my parents are now. So it's kind of we got a hub now so good springfield mo at a live or cemetery you know. That's a good point of clarification. There actually all still alive. I'm just saying you but you never thought the same place. Actually having those. Yeah heaven celebrate. Together yep That's funny migrants are all. They're actually all the same place the first holiday season which is really. That's ever happened. Which was kind of like no way seeming oklahoma. No they're in heaven you jer. Sf people up for that. Like all right also. Why are you might motel motel. Rooms get out of your you. Ask about that lesson your motel really out of your creep. He's like my grandparents. Just sorry sorry sorry hug. Did they ever stay here. No why would they say okay. I don't know. I don't know how to carry on this conversation. Let's do you Do you like going with the family like a blast or is it kind of like a classic like a few days. I'm ready or you like do you fired up for it. It's nice cause it's not relaxing. Get way more sleep than anytime here. Must just hits way different. But i don't do much. I get pretty restless after about two days. I'm like. I need to start doing some stuff. Sure but it is good sleep. And i'm always shocked. I think the main thing. I love coming home to. It's just seeing how much garbage my parents have permanently saved to their. Dvr nice you know. 'cause they got about a terabyte worth of tv shows on there it could you huddle do. Dvr forty five king of queens episodes like saved like record like you just never know fast forward. The commercials like the yeah. They have netflix but they still have like all. These shows that are on netflix. Recorded dvr net flicks for boomers. Where it's like this all the shows just have commercials. They can fast forward through. Yeah just so. It's more familiar with even know the difference. Yeah remember that was a big one. My my poor mother can never accurately time the fast forward. Oh yeah dads are great with stop. Stop stop we're halfway through. We something online does use his. Yeah or there. There's sometimes where you're so kind of like not paying attention and you forget you can fast forward through commercials. Hatha commercials played. You're like oh oh we got a chance like well. There's probably one left. And then you watch one more and then another like can we four. And it's like but there's only one so we can skip. Just watch it. Then you're watching all twelve commercial. Sounds like you once and you'd never whole thing you grew up with direct. Tv no it was nice. Parents still have as i like the remote because they have a plus thirty seconds button. That is nice especially. Let's say you're trying to really watch a football game fest. Football game forty. Second play clock. You watch play boom thirty password. You ready see the next play. Football game eight minutes. It's phenomenal. that would definitely go big time thing to dr game and you just watch the game like forty five minute..

And it's like they were like we'd our shelters are full of this so please. And they hand you whole bagful of most of the weight in the bag is the saw. They'll give you ask for like what he'll start making fiery be holes. That's one of the menu. Often use sauce this saws sauce. Just says you're gonna hate me later. That flavor is. I'm gonna try it. But i didn't even ask for the. Wow they really do. It's like i'll ask for mild sauce in like i'll get to the wherever it's here there's fire there's mild like they did their job in greensboro. We went to that chick-fil-a remember they had signs. That said there's a national sauce shortage. Goodness soft shortage and like we have a customer shortage. That's really saw. I store what i'm going to outback steakhouse back out of a one sauce. Give me a break come on clay sauce just mixed together mail and catch up figuring out do it. I don't know what's going on back there but yeah someone can figure it out. Someone can figure this out otherwise place. Great nerves overrated. What are you go with their honey. Mustards undefeated big honey mustard. Just straight honey mustard. I'm a big fan of the honey. Mustard barbecues nice Really the rant is nice there zesty. buffalo's really nice. You get after poly's too sweet for me. I really rock with that. When i was not a good bible. Raise your a. Yeah exactly Order they either if you're if polynesian your eight or your you on the app that's your polynesia or your which no one's who's polynesia's chick-fil-a now and the cover model. There's a lot Honey honey honey. Also barbecues nice. Chick-fil-a is overrated. I think that's all of them. And then you got ketchup eight. If you're getting that with you i'm even gets derek. You get catch nice barbecue barbecue. They did change at one time. i didn't. let's switch back there. Hunting talked at this elsewhere. But i don't remember talking on this. Podcast i used to love going to wendy's because i found the sauce that they had which is phenomenal right. Unfortunately the name of the sauce called sauce and sauce. And i just felt seven years old. Every time i'd order it. I just just louder. I didn't quite get that yet. Can i get four packs of saw some sauce for of what. Okay my mom says. Echinacea have only have three packets of sauce. Thank you okay. Little buddy pull up to the window and if you're a big boy you can pay. Here's up there like my mom's the back changing. She don't look back there so that's even weirder than if she was there so weird line to make. Yeah but that really threw me off. So i don't really go win. He's much and they took away their strips. Like i'm a poultry boy. I came in have most of their menu. Don't take half of my menu nuggets. Only this spicy now. I don't know. I really haven't gone and months and months man. You ever get your at burger king. Chicken fries. I tried them. They didn't do it for me. That's one that that's a weird thing to order. They're so cheap. Every at burger things a little too cheap mcdonalds is like we should charge more. I had a. I don't think i'll try this. You know stay away from vaccine jokes by the thought. Like if you're someone who like you can't get you can't consistently get burger king's chicken fries and be antitax because you're willing to put just anything in your body right what we don't know what's actually we really don't know what's in chicken fingers. The chicken fries fruit drug administration is spending a lot of time and effort. Trying to figure out how you've even concocted food exactly the substance. It's a made out of chicken and it's how cheap burkey random thing for awhile like ten of those things for like a dollar. Oh nine. I remember when bernie introduced breakfast. You get three pancakes for ninety nine. Cents does my goodness. There's a hustle is too cheap. I never know the other day. I was like kay. Katie was putting in our grocery order. And i had thought recently because i grew up. You know that. Just kraft mac and cheese with the powder cheese. Oh my god. I love as a kid. You know what through those in there. I'm gonna make worse today. why not. She's like this and shows the to me says ninety nine cents. Yeah go that can't be like this. Is the one thousand nine hundred feathers to me once a week. Ninety nine cents. I was like it was like to home meals to me. Yeah as an adult. And so i i made it and it tasted like thought it did and it let me just say had a taco bell like reaction to the body but Yeah too cheap. I don't know what was in that. If i cared enough about cooking and preparing meals would be totally satisfied like grill up some chicken season up real nice to maybe battery and some sauce and then throw it in that. Like super cheap kraft macaroni and cheese. Like that'd be really cheap nice meal but in no way we'll ever get to point lifer that's worth it for. Nfl sunday i was. I felt very excited to have some buddies. Because over christmas i got up. I made caso gotta have caso to start your day. You start your slaving over this case out and i thought you know what are you typically. Do use microwave elvia. whatever. I wanna make some legit case so i made a real cheese case where you just like. It's not that difficult. But you boil milk with actual cheese stuff and what's so disappointed. This is case so that's actually food. I i know what's in this. And i don't know what in the world's nfl vida on her. Crafty what are they. Are they coming up with this. It's so delicious so cheap. What isn't yeah. It's a frightening ordeal. We don't know. I don't care i'll put it in the velveeta special That rotel depth. That everyone's mom makes good. Oh it hits so hard my us so good tomase. You know you've no you've reached you know you've reached adulthood when you you start to not dodge those rotel bits in your case you say gimme the bring it on little crush. You pay me to eat. "sauces" Discussed on Strawberry Letter

"Like assad pop up. Hold on tight. We got it for you here. It is the strawberry letter thanking of you. You never know this. This could be your ladder. You just never know subject. She wants to buy my special sauce. Deuce even shirley i made thirty-seven-year-old married man with one son from a previous marriage and one son with my new wife. I've been remarried for almost four years and my life is great. Now i have a great relationship with my ex wife and my son is staying with me because he needs a strong male role model in his life. My wife is friendly with my ex wife and that makes me love her even more. I do believe she's what i needed in my life all along. She loves me unconditionally. And when i lost my job last year she didn't miss a beat with supporting me and stepping in to take care of our family. So here's my problem. My ex wife's family is very wealthy so she gave me a small loan. When i lost my job and i never told my wife about it. It has helped out a lot and my wife thinks. I've been using a portion of my savings. My ex wife called me a few months ago and said she really wants another baby and she's running out of time because she's thirty six years old. She told me that she wants her children to have the same father so she propositioned me about giving her another baby. I told her she was crazy as hell to even ask me that. She sweetened the deal by offering me. Twenty five thousand dollars for my especial sauce. While she said all i have to do is donate sperm or i can make love to her one last time. She said she preferred the make love option. I almost told her. I didn't love her but i caught myself. I told her that i wasn't going to do it either way. And she gave me an ultimatum an ultimatum. She said either. I give her the sauce or make love to her or she's telling my wife about the loan. I needed money real bad. But i'm not jeopardizing my marriage for her. Should i tell my wife about everything before. My ex wife does please help. Okay how stupid are you right now. All right i need the money real bad. But i'm not jeopardizing my marriage for her okay. There's your answer right there then you ask. Should i tell my wife about everything before. My ex wife does well. You know my answer is yes of course and the reason i say that well we all know that if steve were here these guys they're going to say i'm wrong for doing this but we know seed were here. We'd be arguing about this right now but i. I don't see that you have much of a choice here You left yourself wide open when you accept the money initially and you know she would want something in return this. How this game goes everything. 'cause you know favor for favor and listen. I don't think you're serious enough about all of this you calling your sperm your special sauce and all of that come on now. This is not a joke. If you make the wrong move here. Your ex-wife could ruin you and you already know that you said it in your letter. You're not going to jeopardize your marriage for her and your current wife could leave you as well if she finds out. That's why you need to tell her if she's as great of a partner as you say your wife will understand eventually. Of course she's going to be mad at first and all of that because you didn't tell her about the loan upfront. But at least you didn't do anything all all the way stupid. Like sleep with your ex already and give her your your so-called with special sauce and make another baby trust me your wife would be inconsolable If you have another child with your ex there's no coming back from that. So i say it's in your best interest not to continue the lies and the deceit and come clean now. Lay it all on the table. Because if you don't you could lose everything that you treasure so much so again. Don't be stupid okay. don't be stupid. Please work out a payment plan with your eggs after you tell you why and make sure your wife is included and all this from now on otherwise. This is just stupid and you're going to be ruined and divorced jay. Come on june is absolutely right. Don't be stupid until a damn thing you. I don't know you you don't know me but you don't tell your wife a damn thing it comes out it comes out okay and with the loan that you guys you wanna go to your wife and said remember that loan i got. Here's the things that we got with that known so you let her noted that money was spent directly on her. Now it's fun. It's fun as well as your special sauce. She wanted to have a baby old fashioned way. What you do 'cause obviously you've been thinking about it in the six to six is obviously good. I mean you know because you didn't go with like we were talking earlier in the show. It's actually really good. So here's what you do. You put a clamp on it for as long as you can put a clamp on it mean you get temporarily fixed just temporarily and then you yes you can. And then you'd go for the practice you get as much practice which as you possibly can. You say i'm trying baby. I don't know what's wrong. But i'm tries to give you this baby yet. You take twenty to twenty five thousand. Did what take me back to the clampdown. Say you can have it. You can put a slip night anytime. You have belted. Okay tommy you can put a slip night in it and then when you ready for things to come through you just pull the little strain in it flows. I know how to fix it up. I heard about. I seen it on tv. But you can get that done taking a little clip you. Yes exactly what. Yes when i'm thinking hang on. We'll have parts of the letter coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour the subject. She wants to buy my special sauce. We'll get back into it right at two. You're listening to morning. Show all right guys. we're bagging. This is an unusual strawberry letter because we got some unusual information from jay. The subject is she wants to buy my special sauce. Recap the letter for you. Thirty-seven-year-old mary man wrote in his son from a previous one from his new wife. He's love and his new live with his new wife of four years. His son from his ex wife is living with him because he wants a role model in his life of male role. Model the wife. The ex wife and the current wife very friendly. The ex wife family is very wealthy. I don't know why divorced her then family's very very very wealthy. what happened. Yeah but what happened. Was this man. Thirty seven year old. Mary man lost his job last year. So what makes his wife. Current wife even more special that she didn't miss a beat with Stepping up and taking care of the family while he's temporarily we hope out of work. But in the meantime his ex wife gave him a loan that he did not tell his wife about so. He didn't tell that with he didn't tell her so. Now the ex wife is coming to him saying she wants another child. She's thirty six. She wants to hurry up and she either wants to do it. The old fashioned way where he makes love to her for one last time so she can get a child or.

"But i like the idea of having a sauce that has a little bit less cream ass- because if i'm putting typically whenever i'm eating food i'm trying to think about the foods that i eat like if i'm eating a burrito a fig newton you're eating newton right before this hot sauce on my fig. Newton coward acceptable like i'm meeting applicable. Meaning people. everyone puts rajon. But no if. I don't have to watch a five to choose between crystal and franks. I'm probably gonna put crystal on because chances are my pokey bowl has creamy was sabi on already appears on the screen aspect like the hot sauce seems to be filling in the gaps. That aren't there in flavor and texture and no does does watery. Hot sauce have a texture. Don't say yes. We talk about this all the time like in ingredient that people don't think about is water drops of water to a salad. Sometimes it opens it up. Had some water to say a pasta that has gotten a little bit congealed. it like opens everything up getting wet into your food. Sometimes it's the goal. I like wedding my food with hot sauce. I think maybe that's too. I think maybe it breaks up the monotony monotony of cream or breaks up the monotony. Of like salinas. Maybe that's what helps us does for me. That's where you get into stuff like Saracho seroja it. It took out texas pete in the first round and then lost to franks red. Hot the thing about saracho is one. Give that acid. but it doesn't give you the wax. it's it's more of a case right seasick and suraj so many people we we will get this later but we're doing a hot sauce themed opinion casserole the end of this but one of the most common ones people saint suraj is so overrated. I don't think it's overrated. Have you saracho mac and cheese. There's no better hot sauce for mac and cheese none is. It's the garlic and the chilly in the great but it satisfies such a different world than all the hostages ubiquitous..

"Dogs sandwich. The show re breakdown. The world's biggest food debates. I'm your host jau share and i'm your host nicole. Handy's oughta nicole. We're discussing the greatest hot sauce of all time top patio you end. The podcast stepped era. Cnx podcast signing off. I think i think there is no such thing as the best hot sauce. Hot sauces for different uses and they all are on their own special snowflake where absolutely and i don't think we can. We're to find the answer to that today. I think we're gonna finance it for you. And i and i think that's really important but i don't think we're going to find the end all be all sauce boss number one ever possibly no two people who did try and do that nicole yes. They are buses roger. Roger letty lettie ladies from from roger front. So readily they did the hot sauce tournament to try and find the sauce specifically didn't want on the mainstream hot sauce right not the seasonal hot sauces. That are all not all fantastic. But a lot of them are very delicious. On the mainstream hot sauces. I wanted to kind of go through their rankings. How they did in the tournament and sort of give our own professional because they're amateurs right. I think we can say that. They're not experts tasting things on the internet for a long time. Say that. I was like if they're amateurs the known professional literally eaters. I think that we have a more attuned trained pallet. I think we can dissect the cultural implications of their hot sauce choices. You know in a way. They can't okay. So i think i think we should go through so ultimately what one was still hot sauce. And you mentioned tapa. Te'o being the greatest tapa. Te'o went head-to-head against talulah in the second round. Lost in that although i prefer tampa te'o if there's one hot sauce to have for the rest of my life between paseo angela. I don't know that i could choose to you. Why it the bitterness because it has a really it has a really strong bitterness. that people don't always recognize it. Does it's got this like dusky chilly. He you're getting more chilly flavor in there whereas so what. I think is really interesting about a lot of these mainstream. Hot sauces. is there primarily like mexican versus american south. Typically if you think about it right yeah especially with this ranking there's a few there's a few randall's in there but no so a lot of these are when i say american south typically from louisiana tabasco is in louisiana. It was named after the mexican state but has absolutely nothing to do with mexico. Idle question was made on an island. Yeah what's no. Maybe maybe tabasco tabasco actually don't know but i do think i do think the peppers are made on an avery. Avery island is a whole tabasco processing facility. Really really cool. Yeah and so..

"Ray super nutritious. And i like the you offering some ideas about dairy free sauces because a lot of our parents like i always for pancakes i kind of default or ricotta cheese. Because we're coda is low in sodium. Ricarda is nice way to make pancakes softer but for families. That don't eat dairy either because they're vegan or the baby's allergic to dairy foods. They do need some options. That are dairy free absolutely and like i make pancakes a make. A version of pine kicks like vegan. Cake and i put slack season instead of egg and then just use like a coconut milk. Really good coconut milk here. That's fortified with Some calcium so. That's pretty good so at least for cooking purposes or if you're using like a soy milk for cooking purposes that's choky you find using something like that and then just spread your nice sauce on top of the pancake and could give it to your baby to eat perfectly finger food for them. What would you do for fish because fish can be one especially if you're doing like a white flaky fish that can be kind of dry again. We don't want those dry pieces of protein getting potentially stuck on the roof of the baby's mouth or it's pretty challenging for them to clear it from their airway. What sort of sauce goes well with fish. So there's three different sauces. i also make fish though. The first one will be passed has shown fish is delicious. Fashiony wants leggy fish. You can cut your fish ensue. Little chunks even rollers in a tiny little best of flour or diplomats. First rosen fire among. You're either baking in the oven or frying news and little bit of olive oil on On it's nice kind of coached the hallway true and then just spread your pastel on top. The other way. I would cook a sauce for fish would be some unsalted with a little. Bit of lemon juice. Sensuous on the little like a shaving like lemon zest on top of us. And then shaw rush. Parsley could chop fresh parsley. Because you're not using salt in your babies foods. Ever so i would never put salt into baby food but what i would do is always. Make sure your seasoning with like really nice fresh herbs..

"Page. They said little. Facebook page though setup little facebook page and see what happens and see if there's some kind of appetite for us author four months i got back into Says since i last spoke to you. I have been in the newspapers on tv. I've done all of this amazing stuff. And i have to has people following when page in four months which is pretty incredible and i signed my book contracts the following week so it was pretty quick and i got introduced to you because oscar is a little bit older than my quadruplets. So you had already published the first book. The baby lead feeding. Cut book when i was like looking for resources like okay. I'm interested in learning how to do. Baby led weaning. Because i struggled a ton of spoon feeding my oldest and i had quadruplets and i was like i'm gonna do baby led weaning but there weren't a ton of resources out there so your book was like the bible to me and i absolutely love love. Loved your book and i've been using ever since i recommended all the time it's on amazon. I'm going to be sure to linked to it in the show notes. But you have a second book as well. Which is the baby-friendly family cookbook. Is there a difference between the books so both books have recipes in them forbade lead waiting for what i did with the second book was. I took all of the questions that i had received in relation to the first book things dash. I could've improved with us like having a male plan or having some sort of symbols that signified whether recipes for freezer friendly lunch fox friendly and baby led weaning friendly because they were the questions. I got asked all the time on the first book and it was the first time i don a book so it was complete learning curve for me so the second book. I made sure that all of those questions were answered. I catch a spreadsheet tonight added things to us on. I've turned below. Sea team comes to. It's why we're friends. Ilena also have terrible. Ocd but also i think in the second book. It has american recipe with right conversions. Yeah yeah that was a huge thing for me and my first book because my publisher was supposed to send the bulkin tried to get into the us and then it never happens but your book is super popular here the first book i mean it's so big you can buy it on amazon. You have to look up how to do the conversions or you waste. It's not like a huge deal. I mean i use it all the time. i didn't even realize i wanted to create staffers. The bulk of the us version would have the conversions us. But it's just never it never happens. Unfortunately i'm like. I brought at the second books thinking. If i have those conversions in there it will make it a little bit easier but my publisher took over there so i think if i if i am going to do another bulk i'd like to do with. Us code shirt about my aim. Says i'm not listening. So i lean one of the areas. That's a real sticking point for parents are sauces so we always ate feeding dry foods like dry proteins and drive. You can't feed dry foods to babies dry foods are choking hazards the more moisture. We can add. The we reduce the choking russo. Always say you'll pancakes. We got a top with a dipper or a sauce or a topper gave us some basic ideas on sauces. Because i think it's such a pain point for parents. They don't know how to make sausage because commercial sauce. Too much salt in them for babies allegedly so in terms of snacking kind of sauce. Even kinda going to breakfast. I would've done like preloaded spoons with yogurt. So that's kind of saucy. I would put in some mashed bruce mc look And you're still.

"Rosemary's baby shit all right second story we have for you today. A serial killer and russia has been in prison for life offer just killing and eating three of his friends. He said that he just wanted to see what they tasted like. There were already dead. It's not like i'm a cannibal. I didn't kill them to eat them. I killed them. Because i fucking hated him. And then i saw their dead bodies was like well. I wonder if i season them. What they taste like. would it be good. Edward sella's nev- fifty one from north west. Russia was convicted of killing three of his drinking friends. Age fifty nine forty three and thirty four between march twenty sixteen in march twenty. Seventeen sella's nev- reportedly stabbed his buddies when they passed out under the influence of alcohol kind of their fault curious to know what they tasted like. He boiled up their bodies. Boy the second so maybe he did kill them to eat them because all they did was pass out due to alcohol and then he was curious as to what they tasted like so he boiled up their body. I'm guessing killing them. I write it wasn't like a lobster situation where he just don't come in live curious to know what they tasted like. He boiled up their bodies. Cut them up and obtained the best parts for his meal. The undesired parts were then dumped into a local river. That's that's a lot of food waste. You can't donate that to a shelter. Something soup kitchen. Homeless people aren't too picky. Although i don't like that he just boiled their bodies. I feel like if i was going to taste human flesh for the first time i would grill it maybe bread and bake it although boiling probably does make the meat more tender. You may have been onto something here so as was sentenced to life in prison by a lower court. His lawyers appealed the decision but they were unsuccessful. And now the highest court in russia has the sentence we may have read about this guy what he was first arrested. This this might be a dv update. We read about so many cannibals in russia. It's hard to keep track so as have had initially tried to misguide the police and the victim's family by telling them that his friends had moved out looking for work. Yeah they've been gone for a while. They moved to a different city when the partially decomposed bodies of the victims bloated the shore police were able to link their deaths with seleznev as his stories about them. Leaving town didn't fall in place with a time of death. He was ordered to stand trial. After psychiatrist cleared him sane. I'd get a second opinion and fully responsible for his actions. Despite this the defendant gave evidence saying that voices in his head told him to commit the crimes after reevaluating all of the evidence. The russian supreme court send seleznev to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In hindsight i guess the insanity defense was not his best play i would have went with. I'm out of work. i'm poor. I had no food. I didn't hear voices in my head. I heard voices in my tummy. I was just fighting to survive in. You know i i ju- i snapped and i cooked my friends to eat them to to live and i guess the other problem is. It wasn't just a one time thing. He had several bouts of cannibalism. Between twenty sixteen and twenty seventeen at this point a pattern of cannibalism story. We have for you today. The president of the tokyo. Thank you mildly. Zena phobic music stinger. "It's that brown sauce with a nine unpronounceable name. It looks on paper. Like war hester shire. It's a tiny tasty edition to red meats soups and pretty much. Anything that needs brazing. And according to the company that originally created it lea and perrins. it can be pronounced. Worcester shire worcestershire or worcester. Sheer worcestershire sauce is used to make good things even better because it packs a lot of savory nece sometimes called you mommy the word emami by the way was coined in the first decade of the nineteen hundreds as a way of marketing. The then newly isolated flavor compound monosodium glutamate or msg but back to the sauce. We spoke by email was shameless. Mullen a chef at the institute of colin area -cation he said in recent years there's been a newfound interest in amami or the fifth taste after salty sweet bitter and sour described as deliciousness. The amami brings out the natural flavourings and food makes steak taste more sticky mushrooms. More shrew me worcestershire sauce is made up of a lot of flavorful ingredients including anchovies. That's right it's not generally vegan plus red onion molasses garlic tamarind and malt and or cider vinegar mullen said the vinegar and tamarind bring a punchy city to the sauce and the molasses and onion balance out the sweetness but the true magic happens during the lengthy fermentation process which takes eighteen to twenty four months. This last and most critical step was something of a happy accident. When supposedly in the early eighteen hundreds to chemists based in worcester england john lee and william parents were charged with duplicating a recipe that one british nobleman or another had enjoyed in bengal. Their first effort was an utter failure. However and chemists left it to languish in jars their seller a few years later they rediscovered the batch and were thrilled to realize that fermentation had turned it into the perfect savory sauce. They started selling it in eighteen thirty seven. It came to the us in eighteen thirty nine and is sold in over seventy five countries today when that original leeann parents product was shipped overseas. It's glass bottles often broke as a result of rough waters. So the company began rapping the individual bottles and paper. The tradition continues today more a way to distinguish the brand rather than a need to keep the product whole the company lost the copyright to the name in eighteen. Seventy six a while. Leeann parents recipe remains a closely guarded. Secret competitors have sprung. Up to make similar versions. The bbc counted at least thirty others and worcester alone. You can even making it yourself at home. Mullen said while the aging and fermenting process might be a bit much to undertake at home. You can make a very tasty approximation of worcestershire sauce. By simmering soy sauce mustard powder malt vinegar tamarind paste garlic anchovy paste tomato paste ginger molasses and spices. Those spices he said can include coriander seed mustard seed and the clove as well as orange peel and black pepper. He explained the simply. Mix all the ingredients and similar to sauce consistency. Then strain in store liquid. There are lots of recipes online including several for those of us who have been playing around with home for medication and of course the beloved sauce isn't relegated to stakes and such either. It can be added to pretty much anything that needs inning bitter bloody mary fondue cheese sauce eggs popcorn potato salad dressing or a grilled cheese sandwich. Leeann parents even recommends a splash of it in place of your normal dashes of salt and pepper. The continuing enthusiasm over mommy flavor is carrying over into the share market and this recent uptick is expected to continue projected through twenty twenty five. At least mullen explained amami hounds have been on the hunt for heritage condiments likely and perrins original recipe and there's an ever increasing trend toward finding new applications for the sauce or marinade. Cocktails worcestershire sauce is having a moment.
