Why the U.S. shot down unidentified objects over Alaska and Canada

"Another unidentified object shot down by U.S. fighter jets this time just across the border over Canada Saturday afternoon raising questions about who owns them. Canadian defense minister Anita anad says the object first detected Friday over Alaska by norad, then across the border, Saturday over the Yukon. The object was flying at an altitude of approximately 40,000 feet, had unlawfully entered Canadian airspace and posed a reasonable threat to the safety of civilian flight. Who Is Watching the Eyes of the CCP?

"You received an invitation or you asked for an invitation to speak to the Republican governors associated to the national governors association. NGA. And they said, huh? And you showed up and you told them that each of them had been classified by the Chinese government, that got their attention. When you tell the audience a little bit about that story, which they've got to read in full to appreciate, but the CCP has a file on every governor and they are classified. So I had seen hints of this when I was a CA director, but I became Secretary of State. I was able to see it more clearly. And I was able to get this document declassified. It was written nominally by a Chinese think tank. But what they've done at the direction of the Chinese Communist Party was to continue to evaluate all 50 governors of the United States of America. And they would rank them. Friend foe or were working on them. And by the time I got it to classify, I'd also noted that there was a meeting in Washington, D.C., where all the governors would be. And so I called governor Hogan and then governor of New York, Cuomo, and asked for 20 minutes. They gave me 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty sleepy day. But when I began to lay out for them the fact that the Chinese Communist Party was watching them, observing them, running influence operations against them and had measured them, had raided them, essentially said, do we have them in our pocket yet or not, boy, I had their attention. They all, they all turned immediately to their devices or to their chiefs of staff and says, hey, I got to have a copy of that. I got to know where I am. And I wanted them to just be a little taken back, but mostly I wanted to remind them that this isn't just an attack on our federal government. It is at every level of our government today that the Chinese Communist Party is conducting its assault against our freedoms.

"For whoever shot at a metro bus on Saturday afternoon. They're on the lookout for the suspect and their car. Photos of the car and suspect have now been released by police, the suspect was driving a dark Honda sedan with Virginia plates with last four digits reading 7 zero 9 7, not much more is known about the suspect because they were wearing a ski mask at the scene. D.C. police say an M 6 metro bus was shot in the front and rear at around 1 p.m. was driving near southern and Pennsylvania avenue just at the D.C. Maryland line. $1000 reward for any info about the suspect is being offered by police to get a better look at photos of the car and suspect head to WTO P dot com. Luke Luger WTO. There were no injuries reported in the shooting. A deadly shooting in southeast D.C. Saturday that left a 16 year old dead and a person of interest in police custody. Police say it happened in Barry farms in the 1600 block of Morris road. Jakai Snyder was pronounced dead at a local hospital, it's believed this was a targeted attack. Even though police have brought in and person of interest, they are still offering a $25,000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest. A Maryland mother says she's grateful that her son has recovered after contracting RSV, but says finding care when he needed it was very hard. Christy mang says that her 6 year old son JoJo contracted RSV and required pediatric ICU care. But instead was hospitalized for a week in an ER in Silver Spring because no ICU beds were available. She tells our news partners at NBC four that it was a struggle because emergency rooms are not designed for the long-term care of sick children. Being in that situation in the ER specifically, I have never seen my son so sad and depressed and just fighting everything. Eventually the boy was moved to an ICU bed in Baltimore and recovered four days later, an NBC News analysis of federal hospital data found 78% of pediatric hospital beds were full across the nation last week. Schools in some parts of our area have started working on the calendar for next year. In many cases, parents are saying the same things about some of the choices. Some parents in our area say school calendars have too many religious holidays and are urging counties that cut back as they plan for next year. That's the case in Arlington, where superintendent Francisco Doran is recommending days off for yom kippur indigenous people's day and Eid. In nearby Prince William county, students have those days off of school next year too. At a recent meeting, board member Jennifer wall wondered if the county has too many days off. I know for working parents, it can be hard to find child care for multiple one off days, and many don't have so many personal days off from their jobs to stay home for those random holidays. We Need to Protect the American Family

"Look, I mean, go take any study you want. And this doesn't need to be a sort of loaded comment in any way, but take any study. I mean, typically, kids that come from a two parent household tend to do better in life. I mean, if you strip out everything else and we forget about the differences between us, just go down to that one basic thing. Two parents in a house, it helps, you know why it helps. It's really hard. Raising kids blew me high now. You need your need to parents in order to do it. And yet you look at the rate of single parenthood of mothers that has just escalated so massively over the last several decades and what you can determine from that is that kids are having less opportunity, frankly, because they don't have as much infrastructure at home. And I think too often the answer is, well, the government should be providing that. Well, the government can't provide that. Listen, the government is not going to tuck your kids in at night or go and take them to a baseball practice on Saturday afternoon. That is where you need parents working together. So we need more encouragement of family and an appreciation, I think, for family. That's one of the basic things. The other thing that you got to think about is education. Because we've gotten so obsessed with being politically correct, that we've lost sight of teaching kids how to read and write. I mean, the three R's, that's what you need. Reading, writing and arithmetic, right? Well, not really three hours. I said that to one of my kids the other day and they looked at me like, why don't you talk about those don't all begin with R but you know what I mean?

Next month will be 20 years since the beltway sniper terrorized our region. Ten people were killed, three others wounded. The man who headed the ATF's efforts to hunt down the serial killer looks back at the evidence they found and how new technology might have helped end the shooting sooner. Michael Bouchard was the ATF commander during the sniper investigation. In many cases we were able to recover identifiable projectiles from the victims, which were compared every time we had a shooting with previous shootings. And those matched spent shell casings founded several scenes when the snipers were caught, a stolen rifle that fired the shots was found in their car. Bouchard says the software that law enforcement used to identify John Muhammad and Lee malvo as the suspects was sparse at the time. Now there's new software that enables law enforcement agencies to gather information and share it quickly with multiple jurisdictions. That would have been a big help for us 20 years ago. Heritage's Kevin Roberts on Washington and the Inflation Crisis

"Let's talk about this piece very impressive senator Rand Paul. You co authored in Fox business. Just one issue. Forget energy just inflation. How serious you use the word crisis in the headline? Talk to us about Washington and the inflation crisis. Look, I know when people hear a guy like me leading a D.C. based organization that focuses on policy, they think that we deal in the abstract. I think actually one of the things we do well at heritage is look at these problems like inflation from what I like to call the sidewalk level. I can do that because I'm a dad of four. I have to pay the same price as everyone else does. And that's really the point. And I think what senator Paul and I were able to get at in this op-ed and tremendous credit to him is that we understand that inflation is not an abstract concept. You and I and your listeners feel this every time we go to the grocery store. In fact, I was shopping with our little girls grocery shopping Saturday afternoon here in Northern Virginia. And I said, good lord. I mean, what has happened to prices just in the last few weeks? That's what we mean, senator Paul and I, when we use the word crisis. It isn't just a crisis for us and our government because we're on the brink of this fiscal cliff. It's a crisis for us and our own pocketbooks. And I look forward to the day when we can get past this because it means that we understand we can't continue to spend this kind of money and expect inflation to go

Variable Pricing (MM #3998)

"The NASA minute. With Kevin mason. One of the businesses that has struggled throughout the pandemic, of course, is the movie theaters. Nobody wanted to go sit in a room with people who had COVID, so movies, nobody was going. And it's starting to make a rebound, but now it's getting interesting, because two major chains have announced, they're going to start variable pricing. I guess in a way, variable pricing has always been at the movie theater. You have the daytime matinee prices, and then the regular prices. But they're going to get more variable than that, because now a Friday night after dinner is going to cost you a whole lot more on the opening night that's going to cost you on Saturday afternoon or let alone on Thursday at two, both AMC and Cinemark are going to be testing a variable pricing model for their movie tickets. And why it's really important right now and why everybody's freaking out is because AMC announced they're going to be doing it for The Batman movie that's coming out. I think it's this weekend. You've got a superhero movie. It's going to cost you two or three or $5 more to go see it any time of the day or night, no matter what, because they need to make up those profits. "Were the offices in your offices on Thanksgiving, photographing your materials. Were they in uniform or were they undercover in plain clothes? While the one officer that was that apparently took the photo, I still can't even get that information from the chief the police and confirm that that it was he. But he said he found my door wide open. He found the door wide open on a Saturday afternoon at three 30. Now, my office, we didn't have anybody there at Saturday afternoon. They were all home. They were all gone, but he was going through to check to make sure that there was no one that shouldn't be there. No one unauthorized should have been in my office. He didn't find anybody there, and he should have left, but he took it upon himself to go start snooping around and start looking at my white board where I keep all my legislative priorities. All my data, what I'm trying to do legislatively here for this next year. And so he looked at that and he said, well, that looks suspicious. Look at that little hand drawn map of the rayburn building. Boom, I'm going to take a picture and have this guy investigated. And that's exactly what they did. And then a few days later, I have these secret squirrels. These deep state on their cover agents knocking on my door, confronting my staffer who just happened to be there. Is it your hypothesis that these people, these officers are acting under the command under the direction of the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi? I believe that Nancy Pelosi now has weaponized the U.S. capitol police. She's weaponized them. She's getting these individuals now. It seems like the capitol police is now her own private law enforcement agency, federal law enforcement agency, getting these individuals to spy on members of Congress, gather intelligence, do background checks, and Nancy Pelosi obviously does it like me too much, mister gork, obviously. I told you, I'm a very vocal critic of what it took place on January 6th. "I don't want to put Joe on the spot, but I want to know if you just now when you hit the open for cell we're thinking you had to pot me up at home. Is that what is happening? A little That would just happened. Maybe a little. There was a little kid. It was It was fine. I'm calling attention to it like it was a big hit was thought I might have hit it quick enough to where no one would have noticed. But you definitely know you looked. You looked. You looked Don't know that I've ever seen. You look rattled. But you looked rattled for, like, three seconds in there just now. Well, there was also a noise somewhere in the middle there. I'm like, Where did that come? What is going on there? And I'm like, Is it because I'm in here and not at home in the Alexa Joe's confused Anyway, we made it on air. We we did. And the song is playing in sales waiting. And I'm blabbing in here about you doing something that nobody would have known about high sale. I'm a little rusty, You know, 10 days, just breathing, salty pioneer. In beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine, and I'm I'm I'm a little below. I'm well shape. Well, sure, that's all good man. It's all good. It's it's good to talk to you again. Good to be in this situation Game week. It's pretty. It's pretty cool man, Sal Kabbaj on the Western Hotline sales appearances with us are always brought to you by New York's only outlet liquor. When you need to stock up, it's the place to buy a case. What's your outlet? How does how the debut of the new show? I know you've been doing the extra point for quite a few years now, but doing it now, Um, you know, five days a week and with a co host are sneaky, Joe. How'd how'd your debut? How do you feel about it today? Don't worry does not lie. I felt I felt really good about it, You know, and I've said I've complimented Joe a lot, but you know, he's a good partner to work with. I thought we had some Some really interesting topics that we talked about. You know, some banter back and forth about it, you know for me. I'm normally and of course I host with you. But when I do my my own shows, they're almost always solo. When I did sports talk Saturday for years, and then I do extra point show every Monday. So having an actual co host for me to kind of be in that chair, If you will, right is a little bit different. It's an adjustment for me. Um, when I'm with you and with you are in with Mike, It's a bit of a different role. If you will, you know, sure. When you listen so For me. It was always kind of, you know, getting to that spot to make sure you know, being comfortable there. And Joe just makes it a lot easier. But, you know, today, Bulldog two hours they fly by. You have so much you want to get to I said to Joe, we have so much more to get to this week that we didn't even touch on today and there'll be more tomorrow so There'll be no shortage of topics that's for sure. Yeah, well, don't waste any your a material on me. Nobody's you know, it's hardly anybody's listening. So don't worry about that. Um, well, sale. I don't know how much if any, you've heard of of of me today, but I I opened today. Just, you know, getting back in the groove, and, um, I know you've been going to the stadium for work now, Um, and even last year you were going but the idea that we're going to have a day that is just about a blueprint like an exact copy of today. Weather wise on Sunday for this game. With the expectations on the bills and with the fans not having been there, really, hardly at all Last year is just It's almost overwhelming. Sell to think about, like, emotionally. I don't know. Like you know me. I'm a very emotional guy. Um, I just think people are going to be overwhelmed when they get out there and experience it again because you've missed it so much. I agree with you if you remember last year when At the Colts playoff game. It was it was a crisp Saturday afternoon game. They played the first game that afternoon that Saturday. And it was a crisp cold or day, but the sun was shining. It was the first time that fans had come back to the stadium all season, right And and I remember being on the air. You remember this and When I went out on pre game, the emotions overwhelmed me just talking about the fans being in the stands and what it looked like in thinking, boy. These people haven't seen their team play. They're so good. They won the East for the first time since 95. Have a chance to go to the Super Bowl. How cool is it just to have this many fans here and even then? It was super limited. So I feel you, man today I started thinking about I really actually thought about some of the loudest times I can remember inside high mark and there's been a lot You know, Actually, one of them was the Colts opener a few years ago. Rex Ryan. It was a little bit of more of a Rainier Day, a little bit part of the games Rainy and I remember that day being on the sidelines. I think to myself. Can't hear Murph in my ears. You know, like it was. It was incredible. And I'm now thinking about multiplying that by whatever, because it's loud, no matter what. But there are times when I'm down on that field. Even after my eighth year now is the sideline reporter. Even now, after into my eighth year, where I'm blown away about how loud it is Well, I would think Sunday at least start. I mean, you never know how the game is going to go right? I mean, so that that plays a huge role in in what In what part? The crowd plays in the afternoon and just how raucous it is. But man when when that thing is ready to go, and you know the anthem, And if there's any kind of a flyover or anything, I don't know if there will be, um, but when I think kicks off I mean, I I think you are going to have a hard time hearing. Yeah. I think people who are having people who scream will be screaming. Oh, 100%, and you know there's people they the people in the front, we banging on the wall and, you know, it's just it's gonna be crazy. Remember that that game against the Ravens when like, what was how many people were there? 6000. It sounded like 60 because they even had a false start on the Raider on the Ravens because they were it was so loud. You were talking earlier. I don't know what happened. Did a caller say something about the bills taking the ball? I don't Yeah, Caller suggested, you know, capitalize on on, you know the emotion and and take the ball and go score And I thought, like, Don't capitalise on the emotion by playing defense first. Yes, right. It's the other way around, I think, but here's the other part of this. So Sean McDermott. I believe ever since they changed the rule, or maybe it was even before he became a coach, But Sean McDermott differs when the bills win the toss. I can't remember a time he's ever received, and part of the reason is Strategically. He wants the double dip opportunity. He wants to score at the end of a half and then get the ball back right away to start the second half. It's what the Patriots have done for many years. They literally try to put you in that position where you're going to have to basically defend them twice in a row on two separate possessions, and he tries to do that, But I agree with you, just from the philosophical standpoint of Writing that emotion and getting the crowd all juiced up the way you said it, you'd have to tone it down when it's on offense, and then hopefully it goes well and you get it back up for the defense. Why not just get out there and let the defense play right? And then and then and then? Calm down, right? That's right. Yeah, Yeah, we'll see. I I love getting the ball. I didn't x I didn't know. I mean, the double dip thing makes sense. I guess I just hadn't really thought of it. Or really hurt it. I definitely know the appeal to me as a fan just very, very casually. I like getting the ball to start the half. I like sitting through halftime. If I've got the lead, I like thinking about getting the ball to have time to extend the lead. If I'm trailing, I like thinking about, you know, cutting into their lead or taking the lead myself. Whatever. I like getting the ball to start. The second half is all I'm saying so I've never had a problem with deferring..

"We've made it to Saturday afternoon. That means it is time for about the benefits on D V. M e l I am Winter truck. So thanks for joining me. Robot. Are you a robot? Seriously. You're a robot. I am not a robot. I don't think I'm the most exciting person in the world. But I have never been called robotic. Right. And I feel like that is the standard these days for investments that are you? Able to invest like a robot, and it's been made to seem so easy to do, which is a complete fabrication of the truth. Are you Like a robot. Could you invest like a robot? And that's what I'm talking about? Because I've had so many people over the years, especially over the last 5 10 years. Say, winter. You know what you know, Um Should I invest with an advisor? And pay when you can invest like a robot for free, but they forget the robot word, they say, But you can invest in things like the TSP and Vanguard. All these places you can invest at minimal fees. So why should I pay any advisor? No matter their value, Exponential or not, Why should I pay them? And the question is, Are you a robot? Because it's an unfair comparison. It is an unfair comparison to compare the market. To management, investment advice. Financial planning advice. It's unfair because it assumes That people function as robots over Being human. Think about it for a second because I believe it is. True, I think that there are statistics that will verify. That it is hard to quote unquote beat the market. With investments. It is hard to beat the market. So if I wanted to invest in large cap U. S stock, and I owned the S and P 500, I left it alone. It would be really hard for an investment manager to outperform that s and P 500 in large cap U. S stocks. Would be difficult. I'm not saying it cannot be done. It's been done in the past, but a majority of the time the market wins. But There's one assumption that cannot hold true that does not rain the day that is not going to dominate financial decisions from this moment forward because of what I'm going to say next. Comparing something like the S and P 500 to what an adviser may do what an investment manager would do. What a financial planner would do with you is unfair because where people lose return is the fact that no one is invested in something like the S and P 500. 100% for the rest of their lives. Like a robot. That is impossible. Have never in my almost 20 years of experience. I have never seen someone invests in the S and P 501 100%. And never take a withdrawal for the rest of their lives like a robot would do. Because if you are that person that I agree, you probably do not need any financial advice. You should find the cheapest way to own the market and then own it at 100% for the rest of your life. But if you are like me And you're human. That you plan at some point to use your money to make withdrawals. You're not human. So sometimes your emotions get ahold of you. When the market goes up and down. You don't want to take on the full risk of the roller coaster. That is the market If you have some Nuance. Then you should invest differently than the market. As we're going to client this week, and and they said, Well, winter, you know why should we consider working with an advisor? Because you can invest now at very low fees. Why should we? And I said, Well, what is your risk Tolerance? Once you know where, where modern conservative. I said Yep, I'm conservative. My husband's moderate or moderate conservative. We all kind of laughed at that. And I said, Okay, how are you invested in your 41 K right now? And the husband said, Well, we are about 30 to 40% thing is about 40% in The market in his four Oh one k in about 60%. In the safe side. He was actually in money market in his four Oh one K. He's not a robot. He's a little bit in the market needs a little bit out of the market, and I said, okay, and and I said, Well, how do you feel about the market says Well, I'm worried about it. You know everything's overheated. The government keeps taking on more debt. They're talking about increasing taxes, interest rates. Whenever we go up. There's talk about inflation. I'm not feeling very good about it. I'm thinking about going more into cash than I am right now. And I said And right when he said that guess what I knew he's not a robot. Is that a robot? And I'm thinking I said, Well, you know, there are different ways that you can participate in the market. There are ways to invest to have less risk if that's what priority for you. Then you could invest in things like utilities and staples that have less volatility than the overall market Historically. And so maybe you could get above inflationary growth with less risk. And that wasn't available. This 41 k. He goes, huh? I That makes sense. But I didn't think about it that way. Right, because I think the world has us thinking like we're robots that were buying commodities as robots. When we do our investments, it's just not true. Right. I have clients who want more growth. And so they could invest differently than the market. I have clients who want a little bit of protection. And so there are ways to invest differently than the market. And what holds true. No matter your priorities. No matter your objectives is that you are not a robot. You're human. You have emotions. You're impacted by tax changes by interest rate changes by market changes, But more than that, you're human. Insofar as you want to enjoy your life. You want to enjoy your retirement. You want to make sure your funds are there for you when you need them..

"It's the Craftsman Electric Saturday afternoon extravaganza, Craftsmen Electorate craftsmanship. It is in their name. Well. President Biden sat down with Vladimir Putin last week to discuss a myriad of things, apparently, but there was absolutely little if anything resolved. I guess The biggest thing was, they agreed to welcome the others ambassadors back to their countries. Other than that, nothing and nothing on cybersecurity attacks. So I'm not sure what the purpose was of the president going to Geneva. Putin was in no mood to deal and frankly had as many good things to say about Donald Trump, as he had about Joe Biden. But any event cybersecurity attacks. From outside of this country seem to be traced back inside the country of Russia more often than not, and we just saw two glaring things with the JBs meatpacking service. And the Continental pipeline, both with roots in Russia. So how do you deal with that? If you're a company, how do you deal with a country that if nothing else gives tacit approval to that kind of behavior And as cyber security, cyber attacks really the next big war, and are we equipped to fight it? Because right now, the answer to those questions seem to be yes and no Somebody that knows standing by right now to join us use Dr Ed Peters. I've had Ed on the show before Dr Peters, nationally known cybersecurity expert and the chief innovation officer at Penn Zura. A company with a unique approach to ransomware attacks, including a self healing file system that continually backs itself up. And it's great to have Dr Peters with us and, uh Dr Peters, how are you on this glorious Saturday? Find 10. Howard. Thank you for having me on. How are you doing? I'm doing well, I'm a little baffled because we know where the The attacks came from. With regards to JBs meets and to the the Continental oil, Uh, company we saw it paralyzed the eastern part of the United States. Three or four days, Guys. Gas prices have not gone back down to levels that were like they were before the attack. And yet it seems there is a real reluctance or inability on the part of Washington to deal with this. I thought the president had a great opportunity this week, and he he punted. What's going on? I think it's difficult to be clear about where such attacks are actually coming from it. It's easy to for people of that level of sophistication to leave footprints. Make it look like it's coming from someplace what it may actually be someplace else. It's hard to know exactly what Putin can actually do about it. It's a group of people who may or may not be in his country. He obviously has no control over them. They are running a criminal enterprise. And they're evolved with whole mirrored of people that are involved what's truly become an industry that is performing this type of cyber crime. Okay. But let's say the tables are reversed. Let's say there is that kind of Those kind of events happening inside the country of Russia. Now, I mean, the economic likelihood of the United States wanting to hack into private companies in Russia may seem a bit remote. But if the tables were reversed, what would you expect Russia to do? Well, if we if we think about where why these attacks are actually perpetrated, it goes back to what Willie Sutton allegedly once said When asked why he robs banks being the greatest bank robber of his day was that's where the money is. So there isn't a lot of Reason for commercial Reason anyway to extract catch to go after anything in Russia, however, it's interesting to note that the president gave Putin a list of 16 criminal of 16 critical infrastructure. Areas that he said were off limits. And it's odd. Does that mean the rest are on limit? Exactly is okay. Yeah, those dub 16 are actually listed on the front page of the cyber up cybersecurity. Infrastructure Security Institute. So C. I s a dot gov go find it and they list what they all are. Basically, he told them. These types of things are off limits. But there are many commercial businesses that are not on that list that it's odd. Does that mean they're open to to extortion? Well, clear. That's how I would interpret it. If I was Putin. He would try and by the way Vladimir Putin knows exactly what's going on. And who's doing what in that country. I mean, he's a former KGB agent. Those guys, he if not approving it. He knows exactly who the operatives are in there. And if I'm him, I'm telling them. Yeah, these 16. I mean, do you really need them? Why don't you go after? You know another oil system or a bank? Or, you know, go after, you know, maybe a like Wells. Fargo. Go after them. You know, I I efforts to to present 16. To another leader, and then to publicly admit it. I'm looking at this guy when he when he comes back to the United States would say, What the hell did you just do? What did he do? What did he just do? It is a bit bit puzzling. Uh, what I would say is that Of the popular perception of this now is that it's a bunch of people like sitting in a basement or in office, and they're in there and they're poking in and doing this big crime an attack when that's really not the way it operates these days. A lot of times it's actually It's almost In an industry that's maturing where their specialization, for instance, maybe there's somebody in some Eastern European country who has the contact in Russia who was helping the person put this whole idea together. Then they go and they find some other specialist on the dark Web that has an act who has access was a whole list of companies that they've actually been able to. Penetrate their security. Their cyber cyber Caribbeans, But that's all they do. They have a list and they sell that to somebody else. And there are two other groups, then or other groups that then do other specialties. Whether it's okay. We will plant and launched the attack. And other groups that actually do the negotiation for the ransom. It's now become an actual supply chain based industry, So it's not as easy to just go and arrest person A and and get something done, so it's hard to see In many cases, how they can really be effective. Well, it's like it's like the drug cartels, right. You can always get the mule that's delivering the drugs. But getting to the actual brains of the operation is something that's alluded. Uh DEA agents around the world for for years. I mean to get, you know for every guy that they for every El Chapo they get, you know, there's there's a dozen two dozen that's simply scurry and they go in business elsewhere. That's That's what would happen, uh, with this, I have no doubt. But I Yeah, I've said on this program many times, and I think you just alluded to it. It's not these Aren't you know a bunch of kids in Mom's basement somewhere in Micronesia, Indonesia, Thailand. These are these are PhDs or equivalent there of from universities all around the country. Might as well have been from Harvard. These are PhDs that are that are doing this and it is a very sophisticated business. And I fear the United States is in no way shape or form right now to put up any kind of credible defense against this. How about you? Well, here's what I always tell people that Your probability of stopping 100% of the attacks that are trying to get into your environment is fairly law because somebody was got it persistently. May actually find a weakness and be able to attack and there's no question is once that occurs. How quickly can you detect that has occurred. How quickly can you then isolated? And stop it. And then how quickly can you recover from it?.

I'll ask. Our collars have been patiently holding on to keep your comments as brief as possible, so weakened that has many in this map the noon as possible, so we're going to start and by the way, the question of the day Is. Do you think that we are facing inflation? They are you feeling it at the gas pump at the grocery store. Do you think that it's possible to build a pipeline? That is not have computers. I'll look in on community at all. Well, I think we We need computers to do it. But we need the better security system of cyber security system to make sure these kinds of hacks don't happen because we're talking about a vital infrastructure. I mean, this is this is not just an economic issue. It's a safety issue. It's a security issue for the country and the point I made at the top of the show, and I want to use it. Can you make a great point? I appreciate your call, because this is so important that people know That when one type plane goes down, we need other pipelines that we can peed into the system. And Joe Biden is not building the pipelines, he says. He wants infrastructure and infrastructure We need in this country is ology terminals, and we need refineries and we need pipelines. Pipelines are the safest way to transport are all on gas to get to the market so we can get the gasoline in our cars and heat our homes and now keep keep us safe. And so it's a safety issue. It's a security issue. Shame on the White House. Shame on this administration. They're not doing everything I can to make sure we have cheap, affordable made in America and reliable energy. Yes, Crime has been up in New York remains statistically, Which is what that gentleman was leaning on New York. Statistically, it's still the safest large city in this country. All right, And that's the bottom line. That's not even up for debate. Steve All right. And then you started talking about right. So where do you think? Hold on just how you when you say it's the safest city, you know, you're seeing, you know, increase in the murder rate crime rate. Um, I'm not disputing it. Maybe you have statistics that I don't But how are you measuring? That New York is a safe city. It's the same statistics that that look How are my measuring it? I'll tell you what, Steve, I guarantee you that, statistically per capita New York remains even with the increase in crime, which is undeniable and de Blasio and you know what to be there. Bill de Blasio has made mistakes. All right, Sammy crime unit That was a knee jerk reaction that that needs to be corrected. All right? I'm not gonna I'm not gonna deny that. But New York City remains the largest shaped city in America. Okay, I said, Do you live in New York City? No. Okay, I know I just wanted to do that was I mean, I have no, I'm not afraid. You know what benefit is there? No, man, May I ask you this question, Steve, I just want to ask you this question. You know, we have a mayor's We have a mayor's election going on. I know you're not voting there, but there's somebody who you think would serve the city wealth. You know what? There are so many of them? That I had. You know, I like Yang. I haven't gone through their agendas. I haven't looked at it. What? Okay, you know with with, you know, with the thanks for calling and I want to get the two more calls and then on and then I got to get to my more economic lesson. "At WTMJ. Aaron Rodgers Looks it over Takes the snap blitz on, they pick it up, laughing round pick out of 10 Pence out. Text out Touchdown. No test found. I stand like 40 yards and the Packers and tired around had 26 of face. If I'm not mistaken, That game was played in Los Angeles, and you can hear the Packers fans cheering in the background there. Yup, The Rams this game this weekend gonna be at Lambeau Field, not Los Angeles. Joining us now, with a very early preview of that Saturday afternoon match up his Packers reporter Jason Wilkie of 94, 5, ESPN. Jason First things first. Just generally speaking. What makes this Rams team dangerous? Do you think coming into Lambeau at 3 35 on Saturday afternoon? The number one scoring defense in the NFL. Brian I mean, this is going to be strength versus strength. You've got the highest scoring offense against the lowest allowing points defense. It is A classic match up. It's one of those were us cliche. Sportswriters liked to say something's gotta give Jason this always worries me. Because when the Packers won that Super Bowl, after what 170 years with Brett Farve, and we had Reggie White and all those great defensive players and that it was the defense that helped us win that Super Bowl, this makes me really nervous. Yeah, And you know what's funny? Is that the Packers defense despite the perception of it, they finished the season ranked ninth in total defense, little lower in scoring defense, but They're not. They're not as bad as Packers and think they are and the Rams offense. It'll be interesting to see what they look like They were able to win, obviously in Seattle, with their defense going to touch down But Jared Goff has broken thumb that he had surgery on. He wasn't even the one who started the game for them a quarterback last week until John Wilford had to leave and ended up in the hospital after a hard hit, so Their offense. Is it a little bit of trouble? It's gonna be a fascinating game. Jason, one of the Packers been up to since playing last have they've been practicing at all and will rest proved to be a good thing for this Packers team. Yeah, Brian. They did practice on Thursday and Friday. The players at the weekend box They'll be back in today, thanks to covert 19. It is not the way by week's used to be in the playoffs. We all remember before Tony Romo became an announcer. He made big headlines when he and some of his teammates went to Kabul, son, Lucas. Back when he was dating Jessica Simpson. There was nobody leaving town this weekend for the Packers. They were all getting their tests every day for Cove it and getting ready to get back to work. Today. It was a simpler time back then, Jason that's for sure. So did the Packers catch a great not having to face Tom Brady in the Buccaneers? You know, I guess I can't say that you catch a break winning up face Aaron Donald and this defense, Although I would say this Gene Aaron Donald, there was a scare that he may have Broken Some ribs in that game in Seattle, turns out that there were no fractures, but he's not going to be 100% like the Packers fans and I totally get this. They worry about the buy. And it's all because of what happened in 2011. But remember, the Packers had already wrapped up the number one seeds, then play anybody in the finale. Then they had a bye week. There was some rust offensively this in this instance They played all their starters against the Bears. They have this week off, and as you look around the league and the injuries that happened Hackers were very fortunate to just have a week where they didn't have to play their own guys could get healthy and give themselves a chance to advance to another NFC championship. There real quick Jason, who impressed you the most from super amazing, incredible, wild card weekend. Well, besides your brother's pants or overall in Buffalo, I still think the bills are gonna end up being the Packers opponent in the Super Bowl. Wow. That's stunning stuff. Thank you, Jason. We appreciate it will catch up with you at the playoff run. All right, everybody picked Herbie Got 7 25 time now for news about your money. "Thank you so much for taking a little bit of time out of your Saturday afternoon Till listening to the show. We're gonna have some great gas son in the next hour. So please stay with us with us throughout the hour. I hope you all had a Very happy and healthy holiday weekend and when we're just getting started, we got a couple of more days until we have to all go back to work, but I wanted before we close the books on 2020. Wanna recite some of the statistics on the economy because I think what you're hearing from the media folks about what's really happening with the American economy. And what is being told to you eyes Grand Canyon divide because the reality is things are not nearly as bad. As the media is portraying things and the Democrats, frankly, because they want to trash the trump economy, even in the last couple of weeks, and what I'm here to tell you this afternoon, I got some of the numbers that just came out. The less Last week or two. And anybody who thinks this economy is crashing doesn't know what they're talking about. And this has a lot of relevance to the need for all of this so called stimulus spending and I'm going to get into that for a minute. Because you all know you've been listening to my show. Hopefully for the last couple of months, and you know I don't buy it. I don't buy that. We need this massive debt bomb. The Congress has just passed. I don't buy it as Joe Biden size that we need another one or $2 trillion of debt bombs in in January, when he becomes president. I do think he is going to be sworn in January, 20th. But let me just recite some of these numbers because they blow me away folks, and I think they will you and it's by the way. I know that most of you listening to the show Live in New York. It's been brutal time for New Yorkers because of the shutdowns of the economy by Cuomo in de Blasio. They deserve a lot of the criticism for the way they have handled this crisis, and I think it's been Shameful the way they've done it. But here we go. Let me let me give you some of these. Just on Friday, The new numbers came out on the unemployment insurance, how many people actually unemployed and collecting benefits from the government. That number shrank. That number shrank in the last week, and it's rank the week before that, as well on this was surprising, everyone said, because of the new round of lockdowns from everywhere from New York and California that we were going to see a huge, huge spike in unemployment. That hasn't happened. That hasn't happened in some areas. It has New York is seeing problems. California seeing problems. My home State of Illinois is saying problems, but in most of the country, there is not an unemployment problem. Now I know that shocks a lot of people because again Your most of your living in an area where your businesses and your stores and your schools are shut down. But that is not the case and half of America and those states are doing very well. Thank you. That's a pretty amazing thing that unemployment people on unemployment is falling and not rising. That's number one. Number two looks less look at the latest data from the Labor Department about the number of openings for jobs. You know, they've been tracking these numbers for 25 or 30 years at the Labor Department, and what they're telling us, according to the latest report is that there are over 6.5 million job openings in America's 6.5.
