Airplane crash in Gulf of Mexico leaves 2 dead, 1 missing
"Two people are confirmed dead and authorities are searching for a third person after a private plane crashed into the Gulf of Mexico off the Florida coast. The plane crash happened Saturday night, but a search for the rented single engine piper Cherokee didn't begin until around 10 a.m. Sunday, when the plane had not returned to the airport where it had left in St. Petersburg, Florida, a spokesperson in Venice, Florida says recreational boaters found the body of a woman floating about two and a half miles west of the Venice shore, and divers from the Sarasota county sheriff's office located the plains wreckage, about a third of a mile off shore, directly west of the Venice airport, the body of a girl was found in the plains passenger area, and rescuers are searching for a third person, believed to be a man who was either the pilot or a passenger. The man found a deputy responding to a nearby call who called emergency personnel to take the man to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. In a statement viewed by NBC News, the Sarasota county sheriff's office spokesman Douglas Johnson setting sheriff's sergeant caught the gator in held it for a Florida fish and wildlife conservation commission trapper. The Florida wildlife told NBC News, the 7 foot one alligator was transferred to a live to Townsend farms and the man was released from the hospital and expected to make a full recovery. So I can, you know, I can see where they categorize this like that. But I always want to say that Texas and Arizona, you hear that noise. I don't know, it's probably a spirit entering the system of the radio. Okay, okay. I mean, we had to come in. I mean, this is nature's month, and I think spirits are natural. And that right there, And even though this is about 10% of the workforce in Sarasota, they have more than 1000 employees. 60 people. I mean, that thing is spreading like wildfire. So that's why it's hard for me to imagine that People listening haven't been impacted the way we are the way Sarasota County the sheriff's office, they've been impacted where it just as high. This Delta variant, highly transmissible and seems much more so than the original Covid 19 when it first broke out in March. Yeah, that's incredible that 94 the employees course This is sheriff's deputies as well as other employees to But, um, that is amazing because they're now out of work and 60 of those have tested positive for the Covid 19, but they've got more than 1000. These are just, you know, employees of the sheriff's office. You know, you gotta hope it's just a regular desk employee and not, you know, should you need as many people on the streets as possible. Deputy Sheriff Christopher Broad had 32 I mean, that's that. That doesn't scare that. You know what? How do I know? Because I think people think the real dangers to old people. It can impact young people as well. And you and people probably going well. He probably had an underlying condition. I didn't see anything like that here. Well, they don't have that in the story, and there's a possibility did but Because we did see that and so many in the past, But there are healthy people with no underlying conditions that have not been vaccinated that are getting hammered by this thing. If there's a big difference in people of how they feel for the people that called him yesterday, and there were a lot of them. That are not for mask mandates. Are you somebody who believes in the vaccine? But while the same time telling you to leave it behind, you know we we should discourage people from saying Grow up and leave your past behind your past is what makes you and revisiting those days. That brings you immense joy. Yeah, and all those things and they can be foods they can. It doesn't have to be some Don't have to be a trip or some profound thing. But just those things that you loved as a child, you know, embrace them find ways to tap into that. And maybe It's a lot easier. I think to appreciate a place like where I grew up once you've left, right. Does that make sense? Because the people who stayed they think I'm crazy. You know when I go back, and I appreciate so many things, and I just want to go sit in the park and eat a doughnut. It's like what? That what the hell is wrong with? You know what I mean? I think sometimes you have to Get away from certain things to appreciate it. But, yeah, I get that It's a I I hope I don't lose that. The sheriff's office has more than 1000 employees, so just under 10% of its workforce is impacted. So I'm starting to read today that maybe that maybe we're peaking. I guess that's I guess that's the only thing we can hope for is I know once we've peaked, there's still you know, roughness on the other side. But this can't go on forever. No, it won't. And it can't. But right now, it's concerning, if not terrifying. What we're what? Because when we got back in the time we stopped at Wa Wa and I felt trying to compare what things were like up north to hear because they in Michigan specifically are experiencing some sort of First freedom thing because they were the first state to go up after the vaccine happened. So I was reading a little bit about they believe they had this alpha variant wave when everybody else was getting vaccinated. Okay. The kind of doesn't have them near immunity. But that's why they're going down the way that they are so masks were few and far between. When I came back, and I saw my first wa wa here I was blown away.
