'We've Lost Everything': California Wildfire Takes The Home Of A Veteran Firefighter
"Devastation in California from deadly wildfires is historic so far this year thousands of wildfires have devoured more than a million and a half acres an area more than three times larger than Los Angeles where I am the Lmu lightning complex fire is now the second largest in the state's history and the flames did not spare Andy Stan Dana's home. He's a twenty three year veteran with the South San Francisco Fire Department. He spent decades saving other people's homes A-. Lost everything as he put it less Wednesday, his farm, his home, many of his animals but he and his wife are safe and he and his wife Sarah Hawkins join me on the line from winters California about an hour northeast of San Francisco. Thank you both for taking some time for us. I can't imagine what you've been through. Thank you for having us. Anti I WANNA start with you, I mean as I said, you've been a firefighter for twenty three years your own property now, hard hit by this fire just talk to me about this fire if you've ever battled anything like. I have not in not many people can say that they've battled in fires or been in fires or experience fires. Of such size and magnitude and at the speed that this move. Seemed unprecedented will yeah I mean talked to any Andy you at home asleep and off-duty when when it came your property and can you take me to the moment when you realize that it was this out of control? We actually received multiple phone calls back to back from our neighbor than they lost everything also, but they called US woke up and said Hey. We've been giving notification from their son who is a local firefighter that it's bad. Up I went outside and did a quick assessment of what I could see and I could see The Ridge linked to behind us. All aglow and we're talking miles and miles of miles from my right to my left as I looked out the back door I hurried in and woke up Sarah. We quickly got dressed through a few things in bags. Made sure we had identification with us in a little bit of money in made sure the cars were pointed out I then went out to kind of assess what was going on based on my training and years of service saying what am I seeing and I've never seen a fire front of that size coming towards off sweep had fires back there in the past than it seemed like everything changed the winds picked up it turned ninety degrees on US instead of coming out of the West that came out of the north. and. The Sarah had joined me to kind of just see what was going on and by that time we turned around and realize there is a flaming front coming behind us. From our north and it was going to flank our exit we ran for the cars and we got out of there with flames. Close enough that I had to get in on the passenger side of the truck instead of the driver's side because it was too much fire on that side of the car to get in and we. Got Out it just came so quick. Well. I'm so. Relieved that you tour safe? Sarah what. was going through your mind I mean, did you feel like you were going to get out of there somehow? Lows pure adrenaline when we had gone out to assess where the flames were coming from where the fire was coming and all of a sudden just hear this roar from the North was kind of shocking that it was coming so fast and the flames were as high as they were they should not have been that high. And it was like we gotta go and I ran in the house and grabbed the dog and just I had to literally throw her into the car because she was so panicked at the flames and just. Get Out. Have you been able to assess what you've lost in what condition the properties in. We've lost everything. But our barn Oliver farming equipment, our greenhouse, the house, the house is just. A six inch layer of crumbled drywall and shattered tile. And We lost all of our Jeanne you're. does that we were retaining the GO-TO you're talking about him in Europe prize? Breeders? Should say. What are those goats mean to you? Have worked really hard on my breeding program and every year we have babies and I bottle feed all of them so that they'll be friendly and I know all of them I know all their names I delivered all of them there. It's It's not just a place obviously Sarah this is your livelihood and your business already we were in a in a pandemic in a faltering economy I mean how have you even begun to think about how you move forward and what's next now? Just, barely spend an hour or two just looking through. Shirts at a donation place and like shoes and supplies. We don't. You know we have a couple of t shirts and we have a couple of pairs of shorts. There's so much to do. Just regarding the house burning down. and. Trying to figure out next steps because there's not really much of a handbook on. When you're houses burned down where the two of you know I take it you're safe now. Yeah. We're currently staying with a friend best friends people ask if we're safe and we're like, we are safe. Now you know we do have a place to stay for now, but we can't stay here for six months. India are you go back into to? Fight these fires again soon or are you going to get some time away to deal with? What's how might department? My Department was Gracious. Enough to. Extend, as much time as I needed I I was able to take vacation for the immediate tour after it happened. But? Yes. I will be going back to work. Soon enough and will be there for the public as a protector in. Twenty years in the fire department another eight years before that on ambulances. So I've been serving the public for over thirty one years and continuing until. Retirement sometime in the near future. Andy. And Sarah Hawkins I'm I'm just glad you two are together and safe and You know we'll be thinking about you. Thank you. Thank you so much.
EP 247: I Rebranded In Middle School
"Got to say, it's not a good week to have nipples. You've been having a lot of trouble. And it's not that cold considering where we've lived before. But it's cold and also period. So overall don't touch me in the chest ever right now. I'm struggling came to sleep on my stomach's horrible. This is a nipples with crucial. I'm Chris, and I'm sensitive today. We're uploading. Well. It's like literally six PM on Friday right now. We've had we have had a crazy week. So this podcasts going up a little bit later than normal. So we hope you don't mind, but we'll get into that. But it's also they're calling it a snow Pakalitha right now in Seattle. We're supposed to get a nice frosty of four to six inches say we're saying to eight like in the downtown area up until like a foot in this around areas. But. Which is not normal for Seattle. Let's put it there. This has been the most snow I've ever seen since living here downtown we already had snow like at the beginning of this week. And that was only like an inter to and shutdown like not shut down. But it like severely impacted everything for the following two or three days like schools for being cancelled. It's it's just wild. So if you're a new listener this podcast, Chris, and I are both from Pennsylvania. So we've we know the snow we know her every cell of my body right now is trying so hard not to be like don't say. Like don't tell us that. It's not a lot of snow. Oh, yeah. We know. It's not we we know money, especially with like what the midwest was like negative fifty degrees or whatever Chicago is like, yeah. Yes. Not just Chicago existing. Like, sir. That's cold. I don't even I haven't experienced it used to get to like negative fifteen or whatever. So like, I know my Canadian listeners right now are like I roll, which we get it's not a lot. But so it does not snow often in Seattle, especially in the downtown area. Right. And so when it does because we're so close to the sea level and everything, and I don't know on understand. But because of that there's like absolutely no like planning or like, I saw that happens. I thought I saw like the Seattle suburb. It has been like just filled with stuff about this. And like, I think all somebody said that the city of Seattle has like I can't verify this as like forty or fifty snow piles, which is like not a lot. Oh, say like four like valid. And it might have been it was his twenty or forty one of those two, and that's like for all of Seattle. And that's obviously not a lot. But we get snow maybe once or twice a year. If that it's like a LEGO like the the maintenance costs till I keep a whole fleet of like trucks is like all the we just decided against that. Because of that one or two days when we might get snow. So overall everyone loses their fucking minds, and it's like bad because like in Pennsylvania, it would snow and you'd get a decent amount. And then you look out your window like an hour into it. Even it's still coming down. There already plowing like your normal suburban streets to like not like these streets, which are like in a metropolis, and you expect like that stuff to be taken care of. And so even here like they're streets in the middle downtown. We're not plowed for like a day at least, and it was just like a mess. You know is. Is definitely a con. When like you're trying to fucking go places, and it's like covered in ISIS or snow. But also, the reason why Pennsylvania roads are so fucking horrible is because of how much they get plows that why that definitely as the salt eats the road, Chicago that plows like are obviously going to cause shit to having to the road. I don't know. That's a factor. I'm sure it's also because Pennsylvania just sucks in general dozen like give money to fix runes. Yeah. I'm just saying. So it helps with us having very nice smooth roads here. But it was just it was just wild leg school that. I like today. I don't think it was a big deal. I mean, honestly, it's doesn't matter. They close school at all. Because like when they're not plowing the roads like everyone was like people were trying to drive in it, and like nine everybody has will first of all like I've seen people dragging them. They're like, oh my God. Like well. That's what you get for not having like. Tuck and car that can handle snow. It's like people in Seattle. The cars. Like people that are native to Seattle that only lived here that like don't. Or like are from a place where there's not a lot of snow, and then just not knowing how to drive in snow is totally understandable thing. You know completely. Yeah. I don't know why anyone would have snow vehicle tire situations unless you're like of house up in the mount snow tires. Fuck up your car, man. They do they like if you do it. Right. They shouldn't can easily fuck up your Carvey. Do it wrong. And it's very easy to do it wrong. Okay. Well, I don't know anything about that. But either way people were like at an accident because we this is part of our fucking week. So we had to have squeezy. I don't wanna get too into it. And I want to give details, but like squeezy heads and things going on. And we had to take him to like a special veterinarian animal hospital situation to have a special thing done. And so that was supposed to happen on on Monday. But it snowed and like we woke up, and I was like looking at all the coverage girl everyone's getting an accident. We're going. We're going. The city a decent amount to where there was like more snow and less plow Adj. So we were like all right. We got to redo this for the next soonest day, which was Thursday. The day. We normally record now. Yeah, we don't really record on Fridays 'cause I've therapy, and I'm usually just like tired, and plus it's also kind of like you get out of work at like five and then do this late. So you did work today will you work from home my therapist canceled today because they were closed because of the snow because it's like if schools are closed, but. Does two schools have been getting close to which is understandable. Because like, they're not. They don't plow great or they don't have enough or whatever. But like this is supposed to be like very different like they're saying for now it's like tonight into tomorrow and for most of the day tomorrow over four to six inches speaking for downtown Seattle up to a foot outside and our friends and Olympia are like getting hit a lot worse today. Melting right now. Ours is melting right now because the temperature saw actually went above freezing. So obviously coming down as rain rain. It's gonna fuck. It's all. And it's going to be really bad. And then there's talks just like this kind of like patterns kind of been a sit here, and like nothing's really gonna change. There's the potential for another two or maybe three more likes smaller systems to come through over the next week and just dump more snow on us. I'm not ready for the so that's not as confident, and but like we had plans sweet end that we had to cancel which really fucking sucks. And luckily next week. I don't really have anything going on. Anywhere. I can work from home when I need to because my office is gonna like close or something. I'm not loving. I should make a point that squeeze fine and everything. Well, great. It was just extremely stressful this week, and I didn't wanna talk about it until everything was over. Because. I don't need opinions. Shit. Like if I had a kid I'd be the same way he is much weld, but he's fucking fine, by the way, hot guesses laters because that just took the whole day and we were exhausted, and we didn't get him into like nine PM. And it was like we drop him off at eight. And we will go up and rake we were there for a few hours. I couldn't sleep the night before I was like I had like a panic attack. And I was just like so we fall asleep at one listening to a podcast finally fall asleep. And then like an I didn't even realize our later I wake up and I'm like, I'm gonna throw up. That's how like anxious I was and then I go into the bathroom with my phone, and I'm just like kind of sitting there. And then I look and it's like two thirty. And I'm like, I look at it like ten times there's no fucking web only to sleep for an hour. So who's just been like one of those weeks this week has been really weird. And like I've been losing my place in like what day it is. And I need to do. Because of like, I've not been going to the office for work. And so that kind of like Thurs me off a little bit. 'cause I'm lost them. What date is. And then also we had this stuff going on the squeezy and all the snow and everything. So it's been it's been a week. And I thought you'd be honest night mad about the snow because I really need to rest. Yeah. I want this weekend to kind of chill. So next week, barring everything is okay. We can just like get back to our normal life and routine all of my work done that I needed to get done because I'm I had stuff that I wanted to order prints for Pisces, and I needed to get them done that could be ordered to be here in time before post about season at the end of the month, and like all these things only fucking work done. And despite like this weird hectic stressful and then just fucking chilling this weekend, which I'm excited it's kind of cozy in here right now. It's kind of cool to see the glass ceiling with all the snow on it. Even now, it's melting because it's raining. But right now, we have the. Close the windows off to our classroom because it was like we're getting we're gonna fucking gust cold air Senator table, and I didn't want to be cold recording the show, which by the way, you took an the coffee. This is a this pike place coffee. I knew it tasted different. It's different. Yeah. No. It's not the trader Joe's that we really love. It's because that's the one thing we did not get to fill up on before the snow. No. Yeah. But. Vinegar chips. Can beat this with enough salt and vinegar anything's possible. That's the motto of. So what else? Okay. So the Super Bowl was last week. God it was like right after we recorded, obviously. So we don't get to talk about the. Oh my God. I was last weekend shoes. Okay. So we want to alleys Chris's alley is one of the hosts of the pupil podcast into the twilight tarred about before what a wonderful show, and like none of us were into sports. What we just kind of wanted to watch like the halftime show. And then just hang out and that time show something. Spongebob knows say they did. Stephen Berg, dirty Jada, go. She said it was sponge baiting. It really was. I like I was looking around on the internet and just like so many people that was like the top thing. Like either half, the people like, oh, my God SpongeBob was featured actually did it at all actually did it. And then the other people like what the fuck that was like three seconds of nothing weird. Like, they didn't even say like a in memoriam expecting like Lisa's named a pop up. Stephen. I think that they probably only show like a few seconds just because like they didn't want to be like for it. Oh boy that but also like football like these people don't know fucking. Cartoons those. And so I feel like it would have been less weird. If they actually showed the whole thing including the concert at the Super Bowl talking like they didn't even have to do during the halftime show. They could've done it. Like almost like as a commercial break pre-game. Yeah. I don't know. Fucking trash. Also, maroon five atom. Honey, you're not good live brothers. But also, I don't know the circumstances. He seemed nervous. Never miss. I can't say, but like when you're up against like past performances likely Gog on beyond say, and then you have that mess. It was just like there was so many cringing moments. And then I reward like lady Gaga performance, which was like just all hits she's got helicopter, OEMs Hella dancers lit stage. It's so seemless. There's no like awkward weird moments. There's nothing like questionable happening that. You're like why is this person on stage wire these people's together where this choir come from? And it's just like, you know. Also, Adam Levine's nipples are the only ones allowed. Yeah. Double standards, just love classic sixes. It was just it was a good time. Actually once until you one I'm assuming it's the patriots. Right. Yeah. Once the halftime show is over we played Mario party. All right. That's good and some VR games. Yeah. We got to try that out for the first time that was fun. I will still never do like a spooky VR game. But I don't know if I could handle a spooky VR game because like even playing something like alias elation. Like really spooky games that are just regular video game. And not something that's VR. I can't I can't play that game to fucking nervous. There isn't a part in the latest episode of life is strange where Daniel like place a trick. And like you see someone at the door. But it's just him like using his telepathic or whatever to like hold a sheet up in front of the door that scene alone may be scream which is not expecting to see a figure, and it was so spooky, and that's like I mean, you've done a lot of your chair leg with a jump scare from pre allies the other day. So what jump scare one like the? The ghost of certain mother is immoral. I forgot so I totally blacked out from like season five and season. Six like, those are the two that I just don't remember very much. But and so I was not expecting get spooked. You know, also we're about to start. We just finished season six pre liar. So we're about to start the final season. It's perfect timing because that new show starts in March. And so how are we how did you feel actually this is great? How did you feel about also pretty little liars if you care Charlotte being the second a? Charlotte. CC Charles, I. I understand that they were trying to take a plot from the books, and like she change it. So a book readers didn't know, you know, they kind of you'll see when you watch the rest. It's like that's that plot in the book. It's like half use on Charlotte. Half us on Uber. Just introduced to marry Drake. Who clearly looks like MRs dealer Entous near like what the fuck they kinda like take that plot and split into two avenues. So you'll see this this new part of this future part? It seems like they were like, okay, we're we didn't know we were going to get renewed or not we're renewed. So we have to come up with a plot fast. And we're just going throw this together. And it's a mess tons of exposition through flashbacks that make no sense. I still think that they should have ended it like six a four. And then they do a time jump though, like the five years later and do a little lake the foster. Yeah. The foster they get you like, you know, they could have a little like spring break. We're all in rosewood again. I don't know. And then they're all catching up. They're like. Emily, what's up with your life, and the, but I think that it was not a great choice to have a trance character be the main villain, and like the most fucked up villain that they've had arguably like this person kill this person. Tortured, and then they make that character trans, and I know that was like the everyone's biggest complete and I still think it's so fucked up on. I mean, the the did that like just because it's like Hugh would never expect. You're expecting. You're expecting a man this entire time. They're hauling Charles. Yeah. But meanwhile, like we have people with like unisex names like Spencer anyway. So I don't know why we gendered a before we knew, you know. I don't fucking also what is the matter. But whatever you get. I think that like I didn't predict it. So there's there's that. But also, I was underwhelmed by getting that answer. Yeah. And then the exposition of just like there's an episode where everything's explained the season of answers and. It just. Felt like you know, what's revealed, Dan, all of these shows is like they do tons of shit. And then when they have to get an answer to it all they like try and shoehorn in a answer as best. They can if they can't answer something is leave ago. That's why like if I were to write a show like this where there is a mystery that needs to be solved at the end at especially if it's someone's identity, I would have that person chosen in the very beginning. And have it all ready? So that way, it's not like this weird thing like, especially gossip girls, like the one that comes to mind the most because you know, that they didn't pick, Dan. I I think that like would be obviously this could never happen because they don't know how well TV shows going to do, but it would be so great. If shows could just like have a set number of seasons that they need to tell a story that they wanna tell the miniseries and then. Just like do that. And that's it. Of course, they want to extend things they do really popular vampires extended after Nina Dobrev lift and that was probably not the best choice. It wasn't great. But I still I still love it. But I mean, there were certain things that happened in final season two seasons that she was gone for pop it in at the end. I just think that it would be a lot better. If like shows just had a set number of like, they think of the story because I think of shows like realize and vampire diaries and gossip girl without like, they just didn't think through the plot through all the seasons that they had and they couldn't find an answer. And then you have shows like the departed that were so good. And then they didn't get enough time to actually go through all that they wanted to and they had they've wrapped up what they could very well and answer on your questions. But it's just like they were they were rushed, and they could have done so much more and make. Makes me mad that was so well planned and like so much shit worked in that. And then they didn't get enough time to finish it. But then fuck improve liars gets a thousand seasons. And they're just like, let's make something that doesn't make sense. Yeah. Also like Dexter like 'cause there's so many things that you want. You want him to be caught you want like certain things to come out that affected the plot? You wanted like Justice for certain characters killed off because of the secret. And then they ended it in such shitty way because they wanted to leave the door open for a spin off was just say that I think that like overall if I had a pick one show that let me down the most it would be extra. It's always when it comes to mind, the greediness of wanting to milk a established franchise as much as possible is the biggest downfall of any TV show or movie or whatever it is the biggest downfall. Because like, you can't tell I feel you can't tell like the best possible story when you're also thinking about how long you have or like branch off into another or how you can split. This off into even more it just a sin off for Dexter could have been like just a another detective show about Miami. And it could have had nothing to do with him. But like it could've just been like fucking stories that are happening in Miami. And it could have just been starring I honestly, forget most of the police people's names so long, but you know, I'm talking about like all of those boys. And like that's how they could have had a spin off kind of like I'm thinking about like, Harry Potter at least they're doing a prequel like. Tuck taken like a total spin to like, hey, actually, let's just have a fucking series about what's going on over at a Bobek. Then I like, Harry Potter is great because it's a whole universe that like there's a story that has a complete arc that like was now is being destroyed after the fact by a whole bunch of different information that deem released later on that. But like, it was just like a full story that was complete and then it's like twilight, you know, they didn't really fuck. Her fixed story that made complete sense inaccuracies or any weirdness. They never really touched such a beautiful story. Technically, they gave you a weird book that was like the life the short life of breed, Tanner, whatever fucking. It's Harry Potter universe. You have like a million other stories that you can tell in that. And you can honestly milk that franchise for so much fucking content because there's so many really interesting things talked about as vampire diaries the originals. That was a I mean, I didn't love the originals. I like to them when they were in the vampire diaries, but I kind of fell off the bandwagon of that spin off. But I know people really liked it and it ended up having like six seasons. And now the originals. I've I personally am not liking the originals legacies. Not liking legacies at all, and I feel kind of just like massacring the fucking vampire diaries universe and lower that one. I'm not like I'm here for the Easter eggs bacon, not loving it. So I'd like kind of watching like I think that like all why the originals better because it was just like the same time line. He's in the future. But it's like they're characters that are still alive that should be around. Theoretically. So it's kind of fucking with your perception of what would have happened to the characters after what you saw like, especially when like a lane is now living in her human time line where she would be like, you really don't think she'd be like hanging out with a lark. So with having this fucking other show is like fucking with where you would imagine the characters to be doing while they're still alive. I think that like with these super established series in like, universes and stuff. It would be so cool. If people could just like hire from like fan Fiqh areas because I'm serious though. Because those people that are like super into series, and like no every aspect of Lor and like right, really good like fiction, so mouth should've written the crimes of grit wall. Dress mount would've written and fantastic. Salty raising to be hired. Exactly. But I'm serious though. Like, those are the people that are like so deep into the universes that they end up writing really good shit on their own that they post online, and that's the shit that would make for really good shows. And even though like producers, probably like, oh, this is not fucking like click, click Beatty for these reasons, and it's not going to get an views. I feel like people would want. I imagine that would like certain franchises. Like, there's going to be a game of thrones. You know, Harry Potter Lord of the rings, the hunger games. They may be like I feel like now it's like dead. Like, no one's remembering when it was hot. It would have been a good one to have like another spin off anything in those kind of dead right now to stoop is dead. We're living. I'm just kidding. I don't know. I feel like if they came back with like a prequel to like how the game started like the very first game. I games with. Hey, Mitch in actually wasn't the further. I mean, like, you know, his game I gain and that would be a good single book and like movie, it's just, hey, mitch's games. Yeah. That'd be cool. Something like that would be cool. Oh, fuck it. Now, I just really enjoy when like these big universes. This is like especially like fantasy SCI fi. And like distortion stuff where it's like these made up universes and stuff where like they like drill. Try and keep it like making sense and not just destroying everything. Like whole bunch of spin offs and stuff. If I appreciate it. Really good story in world that makes sense. They did the main story, and they I mean, it wasn't great that they did three movies out of one small book. But at least it was just that fucking book, and they. Pulled other shift from king's other writings, so it's not like they're supposed to be coming out with the game of thrones spinoff seven spin offs that they're piloting right now. Like, it's ridiculous gonna do so much with that. They're just trying to sell this Funke pops. That's the t- if Dexter was still on when Funke was around. They would have already had that fucking spin off. You don't think there's already you don't think they have Dexter funk goes, I don't know. Going like set show anymore because they ruined it which bucking suck. Every single other person. I've ever talked to that watched Dexter is like I hate that. I hate. It makes me so mad. Everybody was so good always has just watching till the season four and then stop. There are some aspects of later seasons that I did like I like when spoiler he gets caught at the end of season six by his sister. Jessie, forget her name. I don't like what then what they do with that. Then it's just like where it goes all downhill, but I love that he got caught that was the best season finale ever, just like that shock moment, and it just blacks free. And that's it. So good. Yeah. Our really remember anything else likes look where to kind of getting on his shit and like getting then the booking don't do that. Still we be so mad like one day a kinda wanna watch through it again. But every time I think about it. I think about how badly burned. Yeah. Let us know. What was the most burned you ever were by show, especially series, or at piece of media them like ruined something for because I've seen like there'll be like movies that you're like super excited about because you watch the trailer? And then you realize when you see the movie that the best parts were what you already saw the trailer. And that everything else was terrible. I saw Sarah Hawkins was saying that that new movie that came out for Netflix, which Jillian hall velvet something. Bella chain. So yes, she was saying that like if you already watched trailer already saw the best parts like she was pretty disappointed. Like, I know that that's happened to me before with other things really remember. But I don't know let us fucking note or even book series. I feel like I have a tendency to be less. Let down by the end of a book, but book series seemed to. Like more time, you have more time, and you're not like restricted to like. With TV's like you have to have a new season every year fifty minutes in finale or maybe a two hour series. And like, you know, when there's a great anatomy series finale. That'll be a two hour special. Oh, yeah. It's going to be like literally entire days. That's one private practice. Was a great spin off. I watched station nineteen. It's nineteen. Nineteen. I never watched that. But I mean, I have no idea. I just don't care at this point to get invested another spin off. But I liked obviously watch private practice because Addison so and that was actually very good. I mean from there we have now. On. God that show is so much darker like you think Grey's anatomy can get fucked up like that show was so dark like this shit that they did on that was wild. And I can't even believe that they allowed the one thing that I'm thinking about with violet to air on. Really? Yeah. It was fucked anyway, cool. I love media. Good talk. It's media. Before we head into the second half of the old show. I think it's pertinent that. We bring up there's a certain rumor going around that a certain game that we've really enjoy this household might be coming out in April. And that game you ask is animal crossing switch. Okay. So crystal me about this rumor, and then I researched it and Chris found out about this rumor because one of you lovely people tweeted at us. Oh, then even better. Yes. Even if it's drew I'm terrified. So I'm just not going to be like excited until I it's Verma than hammer is that it would come on April with an announcement of that happening in February. Yes. So the reason why they think that this is happening is because couple of people went to like game video game stores in the UK. And that's that's the part where I'm kinda like aren't video games released sometimes different dates in different countries. Like that. Yes. It's typically though, the UK's later than the US. So my. So they were like asking if they can pre-order it. And then the people that worked there were saying that like they could they some of them were actually allowed to reorder it, which is wild. I don't know how that works. And then they were saying that like it's supposed to be released April as soon as the game isn't announced game stoppable let you put money down towards the game. Even if there's no date yet. Money down. It could come out in like a year from now, and like there's no date or anything. But what if they don't have a price? They assume that like you can put down as much money with a minimum of five dollars. I think so like you get a copy it's like you're putting down payment on it. Exactly. And then you can pay that off at any point up until it actually releases. So you just give them five bucks and said, hey, put one of these on hold for me. Then there's like there you go. Reserved weird. Yeah. I don't know. Are we going to get a digital or physical copy of that game? I just like digital. I know. It won't get scratched. That's pre. You can preorder digital stuff, and then you can pre download digital stuff. So that way like it just like it unlocks at the time. And then you're good to go. But we're absolutely do for Nintendo direct. I've been saying that I think whatever one is next is going to be you like all about ammo crossing the last one at this time of year last year was all that sm-, and they went into like, the most excruciating detail. I want like them zooming in on the different like villager models. And being like, this is what we added like O'Hare now has even more Hawaiian flowers on his shirt and the texture of Kurt's band aid on his forehead has been given a little bit of an update like that's what I want. I heard that we're supposed to get a trailer February, and I will whenever they announced that they're having an antenna direct. I am fucking canceling my entire like anything that could during that time will be there for it. I think. Perfect sense because they're three one that they do is. They never just do a game specific when they talk about a lot of different. They might spend more time on one game. Yeah. They spent more time on smash again like at that one. Like, it's due for this to be at their three. If it's not early out. I think that's why I'm shook I thought this was going to be a holiday they have. That's what a lot of people been saying to. But they have like their big games that are coming out to Syria. She which coming on merge. I'm so excited day crafted, which that's the one reason why I don't feel like animal crossing would come out in April because it's coming out. Joe she's coming out the end of March. They're like play same credit like targets the same demographic. But also, they could do it. Because now that they have an app and like this. Crossing appeals to the extreme casual gamer, the gamer that is like has the device that's mobile Yoshi is more of like, I would do that on a TV screen. It's more of like for the platform that likes cute stuff. They tend to do two things under does. Now is that they have said that they hate fucking announcing games like two years in advance now because they did that one time and then now like metro or metro four yet cancelled and are starting over again and a whole bunch of things. So they like don't wanna do them or their things like we're going to announce a game when we have it like done and ready to go in like, three months. So when was an announced a just did they only just gave us the Yoshi released date like January, and they just tweeted it they were like yoga away fucking coming out. And when was that direct where they had was three was that three three. Yeah. It was the end of the three because they were talking. About smashing Hayes bills fucking here. Because like I was saying that like I thought it would be a holiday game because it's like a huge title. It's the first animal crossing game for this new sold. That's like everyone's new favor and like, yeah. Animal crossing the people be look just like for girls like it's not and also it's still one of their most popular titles. There's there why does sell going to be a huge game for them especially with pocket camp by being thing. And they also are rumored to have a switch. That's like a special animal crossing design, which I know like if people have been holding out on getting a switch people are going to mmediately get the bundle that comes with the game. And it comes with the cute themed. Switch console. I'm even considering getting it even though we are neva's switch because like I feel like with my like, you can be still using the time also one of play animal crossing, myself and. Like just have my own fucking towns. I don't know how it works because like. On the on a three. Yes, it was like one person had to town. If you made somebody else on there like you would move into that town that all ready exists. And you're not the mayor and stuff. I have no idea what this game is like, but I want you to have your would wanna fucking have the whole fucking experience. If I like, if it's the same type of thing, but. The big games that Nintendo is doing this year, which they've also said they have big games that are coming out that they haven't even said anything yet that are coming out in two thousand nineteen the have never announced yet, but I know three. So the announced of they have Yoshi coming out Leon Pokemon, which is absolutely going to be the November December holiday game because they just had a Pokemon game like last November. So I think they're getting one away like a nice chunk of time. Something about it that screams like happy holidays like for the hardcore gamer, and so it's like for the holiday time. What's gonna be asking for that? And I feel like even though animal crossing is very like their season. I think debatably everyone's receiving animal crossing spring because of the paint dry. Guests would have been a may or June. I feel like it's gonna be a summer late spring early summer release because they wanted to make us splash. They. I think they released pocket camp. No. That was winter winter I still think that though because like they have Luigi mansion three which is right huge. There hasn't been a game and that in like ten years, and so that I think would come out around Halloween time because and this is a Polk Montauk among game. This isn't like let's go easy. It's like a fool as game. And then leaves mentioned is scary say air quotes scary game like haunted game. So it's I think that would work well, and like the September October time, of course. And then I think animal crossing I think may personally that's what I would say I feel like April too soon after you she. But either way, that's sooner. Yeah. As soon as we're playing odyssey right now. And. May or may not be done with that. By the time. You she comes out everything at the end of March. So I don't know like collecting everything I've still not even close to finishing written. I know so stressed. Not stressful. Like there's this time to like finish games anymore. Whatever that's being twenty seven now. So I don't give a fuck. Yeah. I fly. I'm trying to stream more because it's like it gives me a reason actually times speaking of. Yeah. You're having a time like every week that you're playing a game. You want to as PS t I'm thinking, I might start streaming soon. Because I also like we need capture Clinton we need captured, but also for the time being disease shit that we've always been using. I'm gonna get sick of only doing SIMS. But I'm gonna wanna do. Oh my God. We'll when animal causing comes out. I wanna be able to stream that. Yeah. Yeah. Just I've had request to do that. When I was just doing newly foam ideas. And I know that that's more of a pain in the ass. Yeah. But regular animal crossing on a switch you guys hanging out while I fucking garden and crap on my which smashes one of the top stream games. I know I wanna do it. It would be so relaxing. I would watch an animal crossing stream. But I think that I going to start streaming soon. Just because like it gives. Me like I'd saw a set time where I'm going to play like just something fucking whatever. Whatever I want to. I don't know. I wanna do it. I'm kind of thinking like Monday because that's really the only real good dad week. Day of the week that we have left one week left. And maybe on the weekends. Like, I would be fun to like hop in and play some stuff. I'm trying to stream on Sunday, by the way. So when you is if you guys are listening to this like on Friday or Saturday, I am trying to stream this Sunday. Which is today is the eighth that's the tenth. So I don't know what time yet. But I'll tweet to make sure your follow me on Twitter, which is just Rachel L. Whitehurst? I don't know if I'm gonna play SIMS again, or I'm going to do something with Chris because you're here is because I didn't stream on Tuesday this week because I had a fucking we both have like games like we want to play together like onstream. And so we'll figure out like who's going to stream it, and like, you know, give who when what we wanna do everything. But I will tweet on my Twitter if I come up with a solid I'm doing this day and time one day is a good day and like Rachel took over. For the Joel twitch and like, just rebranded as ruble, twitch dot TV slash ruble. I will again how let you know what I'm gonna be. I I don't know. Yeah. I have to come up with everything cross. No. I think I might actually use my glacier account. Yeah. Yeah. You know? I'm going full circle here late the one that's like with. Yes. Okay. Yeah. Well, I like that fucking moniker that you've had for a decade kind of like longer longer. Yeah. When did you get your first XBox? That I've been using that monitor as like that was like my aim that was your eight username one of my multiple. I had what was your other one? I was pretty penguin. Twenty two God is like elementary middle school. And then was very Eric formative me mister robot. Oh, which is a stick song. You are him up. Switch Star Wars with Harry Potter. Dads. But when I had red hair, I was Donna. Yeah. No I've been using hub glacier since the eighth grade. That's so fucked up so I love that. I'm trying to take myself back to that. Yeah. I mean, it's better than I dropped. I dropped the forty six off because I'm just like this glacier now forty six. I don't know that has long Jimmy though, it's a real place. It has to do with your last name you love glaciers, and it's a real glacier mine pretty penguin twenty two I still have penguins. But you know, it didn't have a long jetty that was like my very first Email that I ever. And then after that, I changed I rebranded in like middle school reprinted in middle school. And I went to if you guys remember the list book series, very early two thousands, like extreme trash novel. I couldn't even tell you what the plot was remember, I went to Florida, and I had one of those books at like, you know, you go to like the little oh that was when I got lost in the airport h me, and that was the book I was picking up in that bookstore in the airport, and it was the atlas series. And so my username was pure a list. And like it was like a dash list. Underscore X three. Why was everything X three? I couldn't tell you. I for the longest time. I would see that from you. I don't know what the says I can't read what where did you see that? I don't remember like I maybe had an Email. Jeff, I think you had an Email. I'm like, I don't know what the says. I rebranded again to a really random death cab song styrofoam plates and it was like styrofoam underscore plates. And that was it and secure. And then I was like a series. I had a series of John green references. And then it was just my fucking. Of course, that's where the whole like internet shit pop off room was when you were doing John green stuff. I know. And I still have it like in my brain that like he was mad. It's just so funny that every time like you get these kind of generic auto emails being like, hey there. I called Ambro Joe. So brand up like that is that's been dead for a really long time because I ended up changing my eighty seven days before. And then you originally. Yeah. And I changed my I changed my YouTube like pretty early. I would say. Twenty twelve or twenty thirteen. So it's like when I still get emails like that. I don't know how I'm on like some database, but like I just got an Email the other day that was like we love your channel. And every single time get one of those I wanna take a screen shot of the fact that my YouTube channel has literally nothing on it. Just Email them back. Really? What's your favorite video? Petty, and I don't have time for the shit. But it's just funny. But yeah, so I think that I'm going to mole over this twitch channel over the weekend. And I'll tweet on Chris considers for now, it's like you or weirdo because you like your Chris considers hub. I know. Like, I change your Twitter. I kind of want to change my Twitter 'cause Chris considers is just dead. It's dead. It was the YouTube channel that never was meant to be. And I still use that Email to as cross taken on Twitter holdup because that'd be funny. If I'm going to do glazier like a twitch name and stuff like then I'm just going to use that. Well, it's taken and they haven't done anything since two thousand nine while Jack Antlers, buck you. This is something like every every like place where you have username should do is like if you have a username that you. Want? And then you go to that. And it's taken and it hasn't been used in like five claim and then put in a request, and they'll delete and give it to you just fucked up because like Instagram deletes and YouTube on used accounts, or whatever. And that's why you lose followers clusters because they do that. Yeah. So I don't know why Twitter has Twitter league never cleans, which they don't even clean, John. Jon barry's. Yes. So very para from the Nazis that are on there. But. Anyway, cool anyway. Yeah. With that. For one of the answers is mine all of these if it's just like bottled water companies. Yeah. I don't know if it's gonna be like seltzer water or water, vapor. Team. I'm like when people mix vinegar and water to make a cleaning solution. That's I'm a mild vinegar in water cleaning solution. I. Like, I'm a water with like one of those leg flavored drops like put into that has caffeine in. Yeah. Also on my cellar water. I have my cels. Water. I mean, I do have a dry husk. So maybe okay. Anyway, what are you doing on a Friday night, which is tonight is a recording of Argos? Staying home where I am safe. I'm thinking that spending time with friends at the mall or remember the last time, I was on a mall ignoring all responsibilities. Okay. Usually it's a tie between staying home where I am safe and spending time with friends, but I'm picking staying home. I'm going to stay staying home to describe yourself in one word. I hope I wish crisp was on here. Dirty artificial cool or simple now coming off of these descriptors feel it is going to be like stagnant pool. Water option -squitoes house. The by, you know, dirty artificial, cool or simple. It's like I'm a mix of all of these things right now because I am so tired. Off. That's a horror ju on. I feel like I should say artificial. I'm going to say simple because I don't think I am going to say artificial for the bleach ago. Choose a choose Goeller black blue green red finally have green Jesus craze. Who was it? The other day, we were watching YouTube, and they're like I fucking hate the color green. And I actually ended by. So I was like I'm on subscribing. I just remembered it was James Charles, Nikki to'real, also said to she did like a makeup of once it was like all like this grain of not a good color makeup. Please don't maybe it's a hard is shadow to formulate, whatever. I feel like that's probably true because I've never had a green show. That's not a shimmer that was like good. Anyway, choose a place to wait. What'd you pick? Would you? Go green. Just you didn't you didn't vote go on a rant. You didn't vocalise? And I just wanna make sure okay. Okay. Choose a place to eat for your birthday. The cheesecake factory. Zach McDonald home. We're PF changs out of all these options. I wanna eat at home like out of these. Are you fucking kidding me? Home. How much water do you drink today cups? One five cups five to ten cups. Doesn't matter drink cups. It would fall into these categories. Holy shit. You're right. I don't know five to ten I'm not going to commit to eight. I'm going to say that. While I wish I did drink the eight it's probably one to five, you know. I like just where does look really count this. Yeah. I would love to know. Like, can I consider that water? Yeah. That's that's when we get lucky nutritionist. Choose a profession. Janitor teacher royalty or project manager that these are so random royalties on as a job. Yeah. I guess it is I'm going to go. What's the project? I'm going with project manager what's the project. That's kind of like what I'm doing right now. So that's honestly, I'm a teacher my royalty. I would I wanted to be teaching wilty has too many rules. You have to wear like certain color, nail polishes and shit. So yeah, choose a pop artist beyond say Taylor swift areana Guerande, we're Selena Gomez. You're gonna go just because you've been listening to everyday forever. Yeah. Will do on. I'm going to go beyond how many languages do know does gibberish count. Zero what hey for some babies. Babies of the coverage podcast listener base. Yeah. One two or three. Plus if gibberish counts too. Say to I'm gonna go with one. His obviously choose a junk food give up I can speak to squeezy like he kind of like knows like in like. Noises that story about his inner his inner essence. Oh, yes. Okay. I finish this quiz. And then we'll tell the I have a storage. So for questions choose to give up ice cream. French fries. Chips pizza out of all of these. I would give up pizza because it's hard to fucking fine. Good vegan pizza and everything else. It's real easy out of all of these. I will give up chips argue on in my home. I kettle brand when they send me chips. Okay. We're not getting any more. That's T R U. You over pizza? Over pizza. We now you guys have to know a we we partake in a chip often. Yes. So that just like fucked up. I I'm stunned. I'm absence then choose a drink other than water juice soda tea lemonade. Whereas ROY I guess tactically water so confirmed drinking water so in that case, I'm drinking twenty waters. Lemonade on going to pick t that's honest. Honestly, this is so accurate. Pretty accurate. When did you get tap water? You may not be the cleanest bigger trying your best. That's true. Like, I honestly relate to the like my scalp is kind of dirty because I can't wash my hair every day because I'm blonde. However, I'm trying my best a lot of dry shampoo. Okay. So before we get into the questions. Let's tell a little bit of adding to the squeezy lower. Yes. Okay. So if you will recall, many moons ago, many moon is ago squeezy almost died. And this was like when we first got him. This is pre podcast. Free. This is you if you were follower, my YouTube channel, you would have seen this. Yes. So during all of that he had to be x-rayed, and they noted that he has an enlarged heart. And I think we've talked about this before because we think it's ironic. His name is squeezy, and he hasn't enlarged hurt. And he's a little Grumbly sometime. He's not somewhat eights like the anti Grinch. Yes. Yeah. So it's interesting. So that's just been a part of his lore. And so during the crap that had to go on this week. He got a x Ray because he had to be put under anesthesia, so they wanted to x Ray him because we told them we're like, well, he has an enlarged heart, and we didn't know that like had any bearing on whether or not he could be necessary. Zik fucking nurse. And so they we had it in her head. So we found out that the vet that we used to go to back in Lancaster was actually fucking God awful and almost died because of while they just didn't know what the fuck they will do it. And like, I'm not a veteran. So like do not be offended by this. But the thing that he had he had like lung infection. So when either of our cats get an infection. Now, we get a certain medicine and knocks out immediately. And that was the last resort medicine that they gave squeezy and it took like months to get to that. And he almost died. They told us that we should put him down. And then they gave him the medicine that are normal that now here in Seattle gives like all the time if any infection is occurring Lila had like a pink guy or like when squeeze like nail went in his paw. And then like, you know in my own was going through like over shit like over the past year and a half. Like she died. A little skin in Fisher. Yeah. So like. Anyway, Alm saying like he would have been fine. And it would've like been way less traumatic for him and us, and it probably wouldn't have only been like fifty dollars whenever it was. So anyway, long story short I had in my mind when he was getting X Ray. And Chris even send it to me like what if he literally doesn't even have it enlarged heart. But they just like read the x-ray Ray wrong. And that like small at the time yet time he was like ten months old, and he's still growing point. So maybe like maybe hurt was grown a little bit faster than the rest of his body. I don't know. Yeah. So it turns out. That. So they call us after the x Ray because this is like letting us know that like he could get an exercise wherever and so they're like, yo just letting you know that enlarged heart thing, not true to normal sized heart, which makes me lay low key sad. Even though there he he didn't have any heart problems or anything. But like just the idea that the lore is no longer, but instead of a March heart what they saw which they they definitely read the x Ray wrong back in Lancaster was that. He has this thing. Then apparently, lots of cats and dogs get and it's just like a congenital birth defect or whatever. And it's just like win. A little thing happens like next year heart where meets a giant fan. Die from it was like a border there something there as a border between the two and then like sometimes there's like a pocket that like kind of wild things to like go back and forth across borders like forms, like a mass is what I'm going say. That sounds scary. But it's not really like a massive just means there's a thing there. That's like not heart and not diverse diaphragm, and it's like completely harmless. And like most of the time they live their tire lies. You would never even know unless they gotta random x-ray like this random x Ray. And so they were like, it's just always a happy is we're like, okay. And it's just in some cases like it can be actual like organ tissue that like slips into their which is not the case. And that's the stuff that could actually be possibly inhibiting lifelike in general. But his is just a fat pocket and squeezy a slender. Boy, who is like the most he's like trim. He's got muscular butcher musculature. They've said that he's like he's got what is. The word that everyone on Twitter says like he's peak performance. And he's also like what is it? It's not like ideal shit. You know what I'm talking about? It's going to bother me. Oh, if it comes to me, I will just say screw. But he's that like, he's absolutely. Oh, he's like a absolute unit. There's like he's like the most perfect. Cat in terms of body. I don't know why I'm saying. Got that fat. But he's got a hidden fat pocket. I just love now to add to the story. He that is where squeezy hides his homing beacon to the mothership. Yes. So that way they can keep track of him at all times. It's within that fat his cloud. That's where his data is stored. Yes. Also, he got a cat scan during all this. And we got this look at squeegees brain. And I was super excited because I was like, and by the way, this sounds like so fucking crazy. The thing that was going on with him was in his nose. So this is not there's nothing going on his brain. But you get a cat scan. You see the whole thing. Be one weed left. You're like I wouldn't have expecting to see a whole bunch of question marks. Sees brain confirmed. He has one. Yeah. And then you get to see like the is without like all of his first and everything and they just in proportion to his head, and I was just like holy shit. His eyes are really fucking big. And he was like, yeah. Like the guy showing us. It was like, yeah. Like it is weird. See that like in proportion. I was but they have to be bigger than like most cats come on because they looked booking massive squeezing. He I feel like I know more and less about him. Like what else is lurking in the debts right now. They're holding balls. I know it's very they're cold. And they're like snuggling, very them. So anyway, let's get into some questions from patriarch council crucial from the bench zips virtue. I would just love they were all about the inner workings of squeezy that would be fucking. It's just so weird that we saw his mind. I know. First question's from Ryan said, this is for Rachel. But if you have any thoughts about or having considered making Palmer clearings, I have this is something that actually had a few requests to do. And my thing right now is it's something that I definitely want to do in the future. And it's not something that I'm currently working on because I'm trying to get other things started. But I do wanna do it. My thing is I need to find a manufacturer docking. Give me a lot of earing Bax that are of like that are not nickel and crab. I want your take your ears because I- sensitive ears. So I want any ear in that. I seldom have hardware that like even I can use. So I want like sterling silver. And like I'm good with gold fill and like any kind of fill like there's like rose gold Philly. I dunno. I guess it's like just because it's the coating that that doesn't bother me. So I'm going to do like, sterling silver. And I don't think I'm going to do any like solid Russia's metals because I would be so. Offensive because I know that they're already gonna be like more pricey because it's like a polymer clay thing that I've sculpted Hamid. So wanna keep the costs down by doing the gold, sterling silver? I don't wanna do like surgical steel because I don't know even though like I've been okay with that in my nose. I dunno next from Taylor said, how did y'all are we still Cowboys slurred? Have you watched your friend? No, no, we have not. But one day, we probably will. Yes. Right. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure eventually the adult glee there's. There's a time where we will run out of things like we need to do the and that will be the show that we put on as our fund Joe. And the last question our emails as hey, boys. So I am bisexual. I know. I am women are fucking beautiful. I have been in a relationship with a man for six and a half years. We started dating when I was sixteen. It's crazy. I have made out with my girlfriends before I had a threesome with my boyfriend at one of my girlfriends before I told him, I was really drunk. I wasn't sure what we were doing. And I literally loved it so much. I am easing. I am. So scared to come out as by because I feel like no one will take taking serious because of my relationship. I know my boyfriend, and I will get married later in life. He also bought me one of rituals prints for Christmas. So he's defec- keep a rate. My friend in my best friend in the entire world is gay all my friends my family. They all love and accept him. I know my family friends will accept me. If I come on bisexual. I'm so confused. I I'm so scared to come out. Okay. So I guess like my thing is like, how do you think your friends going to be about it? You know, like if he seems like he's been with him for fucking ever. I would assume super supportive. Launch. But yeah, I mean in terms of like where I can relate to this. Like, I okay. So how long were rebating when I came out if I came out in I was twenty two when we started dating when I was eighteen. Okay. So it kinda similar situation three or four. And then I had only dated like one other guy before that. So yeah, I mean, I was definitely worried that I think when you when you came out you told me if I'm wrong, but like I'm trying to think like the most which level of coming out every talking like came out to you like from the. Yeah, I know I'm talking about like basically like from under saying they're concerned people aren't going to take it seriously because they're being in the relationship. I feel that like. And you can tell me again it from wrong. Like personally, you didn't get that much. Besides your family like you didn't like I would say the most stuff that you got terms of like, you're no relationship like came from like online will. Yeah. But that was my that was my peer time. Yeah. And I've I've learned now, and I know that situations differ because it's like I came out to like, my friends, and like this is like you're talking like, I'm coming out the friends of family, and then I had this weird like online career that I also felt like I needed to address it there. And like technically these people are strangers, but they're also kind of like invested in my life. And I've since learned that like the opinions of my friends and chosen family are more important than that. So like, that's different. But at the time, those are my peers, and I was fucking terrified that I wouldn't be taken seriously, and like even people that don't know me personally, like just people in general, it's a big part of the by phobic community. Here where it's like, you know, people don't take people seriously as vice sexual if they're dating someone of seemingly a different gender or even they don't consider them dating. Someone of seeming seem one single person. Like, I feel like it doesn't get taken seriously because bisexuals don't get taken seriously drafts street, and that's it, you know. So it was definitely a factor. I was I remember I was very nervous to come out online because I felt like I had like fucking explain how to pull receipts and people ask for them to they were like, what if you done with a woman or have you dated a woman, or like, how many times have you hooked up with a woman and all these things, and I'm like, you really just checked the whole rest- like that's who's who know a ton of show also about like, you know, like how does Christie about this? But that was the most annoying part. And like that would be something that you might get. You know, like, how does your partner think about would like I remember that was when my family was saying they're like, well, what is Chris thing about this. And I'm like, do you really think that I I felt one of our you told you like I mean, I know that you weren't the Ferguson should be like like how like this is how it went life Ross. And like how I feel like it would maybe going your situation your significant other. I like I had people in high school. Okay. So like my first experiences with women were in high school. And I knew that I was queer like pretty much my entire life. But I like push a side until I school. Yes. In high school. My friends definitely knew I was not street. I wasn't labeling myself as street, I was labeling myself as fluid I didn't have the language yet. Although boss, alike, technically came out to them. I then I met you you pretty much knew because I was literally seeing a girl like at the same time as you in the very beginning. And it was just kind of like this known thing. I didn't really have to come out to you just like you knew. Yes. You knew about that. But like once you had more length assaulted idea that you identified as you're probably you in like my gay friends. We're like the first to know. And I feel like at that situation. Jude be sussing out whether or not your partner was like cool with that or not. And obviously like, you know, throwing not cool with that. That's like a whole other big thing that you need to think about where that stands with you. And I'm not gonna feel but I know that if Chris had told me that he wasn't okay with it. Chris would no longer be in my life. It's a personal thing for you. And I'm not saying that but also not expecting that to happen totally. So then like when like then you start branching out coming up to other people outside of that's fear. It's like. It's like you've already like done that like also importance of those. It's like it doesn't like this is just like a thing for you. And like, I it's not me like, and like guess, we're we're in a relationship together. But we are also separate people. You know, what I mean like, so I know that like technically. Explain this like, I don't know if you're into like a fucking monogamous relationship, your sexuality should not in packed the other person in that monogamous relationship. Even it shouldn't even really affect a non monogamous relationship. But at least there's a little bit more actively going on what I mean. But like, I don't know. I don't know. I do pertaining to the person that is to finding their. Yeah. You know, I just I know how you feel 'cause like I still feel that way. Because you know, I don't tell people online like who are seen at this point. I'm gonna turn twenty seven this month. I haven't told like, I don't tell people, you know, like who I've seen, you know, like every single thing or person I've had thing with and sometimes almost find myself like wanting to reference things because I'm like, oh, we'll people probably don't think I'm like actually acting on my by sexuality, but it's like me being alive is being bisexual. Nothing do any of that. And also that just comes from like this like inner internalized by phobia where you feel like you're not quick enough. Just because if you're like a your street, and like you have not been in a relationship, and you're like twenty seven as an example does that mean, you're not straighten more? Like, no, you're like trash. Not that I'm saying that your trash because some people don't wanna be in fucking relationship. But I'm just saying that like people will not look at that person is like any less straight. They're just like how can you get duting? Exactly you care about your job more than your social life. Like, they get all those like when are you going to settle down? Like, you don't you don't get that. But when you're when you're by. It's just like only gallingly what are you doing like it's been it's been ten months since you've like dated a girl with up, you're not crying like, yeah. What's the quota? And then also what happens if like, you're also ace because like, I don't okay. So I'm not personally sexual, but I know that like it can be in a spectrum like I have friends who identify as both bisexual and also as sexual because bisexual was more of like, the they're talking about the romantic side of it. And then like sexually they're not interested in having sex or whatever it because it's a spectrum. With asexuality. I guess technically. Would it be like by romantic by the bisexual was kinda just like? For everything whatever you feel comfortable with cowling it. So it's like in that regard to it's also there, I know we're getting off topic now. But it's also like, okay. So say, you're like, you know, you're into like different genders or whatever. But then you're also like not you don't want to have intimacy league. Where do you fall like not doing anything? Right. Like that's stupid. Like it. Just doesn't all of it is so dumb. Can you imagine like giving a fuck about what other people are up to? Yes. Like that goes to so many different things. But especially like, can you imagine caring about like? That person like they haven't dated a girl while her some label that they have discovered fits them, everyone that labels themselves like not, okay, maybe not everyone. There are probably people that are fucking this up for everybody. But like, okay. Most people that come to terms with a label for their sexuality also gender it something they have agonized over like it took me like two decades to come out to my family. Why did you have like an auto like that? Like really fits me. Like, you know, like, I I don't know. Like, I just I knew that. I liked women and men like the whole time. But I was like I can't be I didn't know that you could do that. So I was just like I can't be gay. I'm not allowed. So then I was just like, well, I still like boys, and I know that's clearly something I'm allowed to do. So then I was just really going in on that. Like, my my mom used to call me like boy, crazy and shit. And so that was also a reason why they didn't believe me. And I was just like I need. Yeah. I was boy crazy. I was also girl crazy really did. No under the service. And then and then it was like in high school. You know, I was friends 'cause I was before I knew anyone that was also queer. There was like one token person that came out before everybody else in highschool or in middle school, actually. And that person got so bullied scared. Everybody else, exactly. And I was already getting believe for a million other things. So I was like I'm not fucking deal with the shit, and I also wasn't comfortable yet. And then I was in high school and like half of my friends were gay half of them were panned some of them were by and I was just like, oh, so there's others shit going on. And then like the friends, especially the ones that were pan. Like really made me realize like, oh, like this is a thing, and I can be fucking doing this. And then I was just like, you know, having flings with people and stuff in high school and some of them were women, and I was like this is pre sick. This is also what I'm about. And there were also men like this is also what I'm about cool. And then I went to college, and I was like oh. I'm really chill with this. Now like other than knowing that it's going to be a shit show. When I come out to my parents, I'm good I was out to everybody. And then when I moved here because I didn't come out until we had been here for like a year. Not really it wasn't a full year was like half a year because we moved in June came out in time anywhere, anywhere. So like at that point. I my goal when we moved to Seattle is like I will be out in Seattle every single person that like it comes up to you know, what I mean? We'll never like be closet. Yeah. And that's been my experience so far. And I don't know like, obviously, some people like, you know, did not jive with it. And some people like surprisingly did. And it was pretty sweet and the internet. I'm sure like half, you know, I know that like I remember one of the girls that like I had like a, you know, a big thing with in high school and everything remember she was telling me that she was like reading crap about me online when I first came out, and she was like, I just wanna tell. Tell them that this has nothing to do with like, I think there was like a rumor that like 'cause I was friends with a bunch of lesbians and college and that was what my family thought to their friends of the Lisbon's in college. And that's why you're changing like it predated them. And she was like someone that I was seeing in high school, and she was like, I just want to tell them this started like so much sooner was like just let it fucking go. It's fine. Like, y'all can believe whatever I'm this is for me. You know, this isn't for anyone else. Would you say that way? Now later on are you having any more trouble with like people believability of it because of having trouble grasping this because of our long standing relationship, like, I guess, it's just like, I remember, I had a friend that I, you know, I was friends with this one person in college who was lesbian, and I remember, you know, she was a fem Lisbie. And she said that she, you know, there's there's also a thing with like fem women that are queer that I can relate to as well where you feel invisible because like. People don't look at you. And think that you're queer which is so stupid because queer looked so different on everyone. Media right of being queer. It's like, I remember she would tell me about that. And she would be like that's why like when I met you. And like when I meet new people like I assert the fact that I'm a lesbian right away. Because unle- unless you're in unsafe situation that's a different story because like she wants to be seen. So that people fucking. No. And like that's something that I felt like I've almost had to do because not only my fem. But I'm also dating a man. And so I find myself when I'm meeting new people if they don't already know because they're like following me on Twitter for like, whatever agenda like really unique circumstance on our end is because like the whole internet following -ly puts a new twist on it like Arnold. But when I meet people that have no fucking idea my internet crap. You know, I will say like if if it's natural to come up in conversation. Like, if we're talking about like people, we've dated or like all just casually mentioned that like, oh, yeah. I was just like seeing the skirl, you know. And then it's just like it's there. And it's something that like, and I do find myself feeling I have to do that. Because otherwise, no one will everyone will just assume you're straight, and like, I don't like being assumed something I'm not and that applies to a lot of different things. No one likes that. No, one likes to be assumed that there's something that they're not. And so. Totally long winded off topic. But I think that like I think if the worry is that like, oh this relationship with stewed for a really long time. So like, no one's gonna take me coming out. Now is thing there's going to be people that are going to fall into that category. And those people are fucking closed minded, and it all honestly, this is more for you. Like, if you just feel like it's about time people fucking knew that this was facet of you than fucking. And you feel comfortable doing it. Then bucket. But also, I don't blame you. If it takes a while to agonize over that because that was me exactly sounds like though, you do have a pretty solid. Basis of family and friends does your friend know, you know, those were the people I came out to I like all my gaze. 'cause like I'm like, yes. So I don't know if the vote to you keep us updated, honestly. Yeah. Yeah. But I hope everything goes well, and if anything like, I see you. Yeah. We receive. Yeah. You're totally valid. "Hello and welcome it. Is Eric Erickson here? This Tuesday I feel obligated to keep telling us what day it is just in case you don't know it is six after the hour. The full number here is eight. Seven seven nine seven Eric. Eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five. I suspect I should probably get into the call screening program here just so I can answer your phone calls. Should any of you dare call? You are allowed to I. We obviously have to get into the al Qaeda situation. We haven't heard al Qaeda in a while we also need to get into the hydroxy clerk win situation with president but before we do any of that Some some sad news this morning Ravi Zacharias has passed. Let me read you. Some of his obituary from His ministry outlet when Ravi Zacharias was a cricket loving boy on the streets of India. His mother called him to meet the local sorry seller palm reader looking at your future. Ravi Baba you will not travel far or very much in your life he declared. That's what the lines on your hand. His Father Oscar who was studying labor relations at the University of Nottingham in England when Zachariah was born rose to the ranks of the Indian civil service throughout sacrifices adolescence. An unremarkable student Zachariah says more interested in cricket than books until his encounter with the Gospel Gospel in that hospital bed. The highest cast of the Hindu priesthood stood by converting to Christianity with conversion came. A new surname Zachariah said a new path that started her descendants on a road to Christian. Faith rest in Peace Ravi Zacharias We were actually supposed to get together. he he and his wife wanted to take my me and my wife to dinner and it never worked out and we'll meet again one day but What what a what a fantastic man. smeared several years ago smeared by someone claiming. He had engage inappropriate relationships. No truth to the matter but it was magnified and blown up by liberal. Press out to get the man But Man What a what. A fantastic person. What a what. A great great man who lives so many people to Christ I did not expect the The start the show with that today but my goodness I just if you've never seen or read you read the real face of atheism that is Ravi. Zachariah says A book I see my friend. Andrew Walker mentioned it this morning Zachariah was just a a wonderful human being who love the Lord and he will deeply deeply dearly missed by a lot of us who he ministered to knowingly or unknowingly over the years Just a good good man. Look I gotta be honest with you. There was a ton of media on this and a lot of clips and I didn't ask Charlie my producer to to cut any of that stuff up. There was some of it that I figured it was worth playing Including the president's own words but by and large the media. Discussion of this is incomplete outrage over the president saying anything about it in and recognize. He did it in some. I gotta be real honest with you. Part of me wonders if I really honest about it. Part of me wonders. If the president really is actually taking Roxie chloroquine and the reason I say this and I realized as doctors come up with the defendant him but it just. It sounded very much to to me that it was just the president Responding to the media throwing some in you know he does this. Sometimes he throw stuff out like this to get the media off a direction. He's learning now in the virus. How To control the media response? It took the president long time to be relearn how to steer the media in in particular directions and And now I think he's figured out with a structure Clark when stuff. People don't want to write the news but if you look but he's the one that signed the application the very important form. He signed it now. If he doesn't believe it why would he sign it and a lot of good things have come out about the hydroxy? A lot of good things have come out. You'd be surprised. At how many people are taking it especially the front line workers before you catch it. The frontline workers many many are taking it. I happened to be taken it. I happen to be taken it hydroxy right now. Couple of weeks ago started taking it. Because I think it's a lot of good stories and if it's not good I'll tell you right dot going to get hurt by it. It's been around for forty years from malaria for Lupus for other things I take it. Frontline workers take a lot of doctors. Take excuse me a lot of doctors take it. I take it now. I hope to not be able to take it soon because you know. I hope they come up with some answer but I think people should be allowed to listen. I I take it Listen I I. I don't know whether the president's taken it or not but the media meltdown on this there really was no reason for me to to play a ton of audio of people. There's there's only one that I wanNA play. This is to give you a sense of how the media is responding to this. This is CNN's treatment of the matter is an and trump is taking questions at the White House. He just mentioned that he is taking hydroxy. Chloroquine the medication. The president has promoted in the passes a potential treatment for corona virus though the FDA says that you shouldn't take it Outside of a clinical trial the hospital and other studies have shown that doesn't work on corona virus the NIH has also issued warnings about using the drug for corona virus patients. I WANNA bring in Jeremy Diamond joining me now. Jeremy What exactly did president trump saying. He's he's taking drexel clerk win. Yeah Jake President trump has repeatedly touted this drug. But he just announced a moments ago for the first time that he himself has actually been taking hydroxy chloroquine for the last week and a half and the president says that he's taking it essentially as a prophylaxis to try and prevent getting the disease in the future despite the fact that there is so far no substantive medical evidence to back up the fact that it works not only as a treatment but all the more as a prophylaxis. Listen to what the president said just a few moments ago. It's been around for forty years from malaria for Lupus for other things I take it. Frontline workers take a lot of doctors. Take excuse me a lot of doctors take it. I take it and Jake just. We should note there as you were saying at the top no studies so far have shown that this is an effective treatment against corona virus. In fact there was a pretty significant study that showed that there was no effect on mortality or on the duration of a patient. Stay in the same way that we have seen with the drug rimmed severe but President trump certainly putting his money where his mouth is with this the question though Jake is what effect is this. GonNa have on the general population. What are people going to think when they see that president trump president of the United States is taking this drug despite the fact that he does not have any proven medical benefits? Will Americans then WANNA take themselves? That certainly is a big question here. Jake and again We do know that this drug has significant side effects including a potential heart issues for people so Certainly something that could be concerning. Listen the world is full of stupid people. We should acknowledge the world is full of stupid people. There's there's nothing mean eight. As a statement of fact truth is not mean. Truth is truth and the world is full of stupid people who justice the president said that Possibly we need to find ways to get Disinfected into people There were media stories other that people. Admittedly a media exaggerated stories about people trying to adjust clorox and the like but there are stupid people out there and so I understand the media concern about the president of the United States touting to Drexel clerk when when the studies are actually mixed there are several studies out there that are small studies that show that drexel clerk when gives some benefit of taking early. There are other studies out there That show that there is no benefit regardless of wind taken the studies are mixed the FDA right now suggests not taking it except in clinical situations. Hostile situations you know. I've got an agent in radio and he was in the hospital and They gave him a drexel or quit and he began to recover after they thought it was lights out for him. So he's a believer chloroquine and I know plenty of other people who are but anecdote is not data in the data really is mix and it depends on who you are depends when you get it. It depends on the dosage you get. There are all sorts of things there and eight can't prevent you from getting the virus. You're better off taking a zinc supplement. than you are to take drastic. Laura quit if you don't WanNa get the virus and and the the by the research zinc is dubious as well except it does appear to present as a milder case when you get viruses like the cold or the flu if you've got zinc in your system because of the way it impacts the virus absorption into cells but here's the thing y'all there's no reason to dwell on this for very long time. This is just the bottom line for years. We have been told not to get between a woman and her doctor's decision to murder a baby who am I to get between a man and his doctors decision to take a pill. If I can't get between the one. Why should any of us be allowed to get between the other two books by Ravi Zachariah? So that I recommend if you've never read Jesus among other gods and the real face of atheism and both of them are really good books. If you WANNA basic understanding of his ministry to to eighth and people in the east he was a just a brilliant evangelist Now a few more things on the president's drugs clerk win situation I I the media you know the President I think has finally figured it. Out One of the the remarkable things about the president's A inability his superpower has always been. Well he's got two superpowers president and I Yeah they are super. They were remarkable abilities of this president. One is the ability to make other people reveal themselves to be as bad as they claim. The president is the meditate on that one for a moment there are so many people who believe the president is you know. There's there's no reason to even delve into the the they all the things they claim the president is and the president has this unique superpower to make other people behave in whatever way. They claim he bathes. The president has the Subaru. It makes other people act in ways. They claim the president axe the other superpower that this president has or had is the ability to steer the national conversation in particular directions and when this virus reared its head domestically the president could not. I mean think about all the new cycle we had last year. I mean all the way up to killing Qassim Sulejmani All all of the beginning of this year with Iran Situation. We had all of these situations and every week. There was a new one every week. It changed every week. It every shifted and then the virus reared its head of the end of January. And it has been wall-to-wall nonstop. Iris even overshadowing me at the end impeachment. Which by the way impeachment was another news cycle and just gone. We've been in this nonstop news cycle about the about the covert one thousand nine cents really mid February and really in March and it hasn't shifted seems like every day that's all we can talk about and I've been struggling trying to find other things to talk about and the president has had this unique gift Sometimes you used it badly where he could send the media often rap in all sorts of directions if you will recall two years ago at the State of the Union address. He did it again last year but it was really two years ago it most powerful the president had a family in the gallery of the state of the Union and he began a lengthy dissertation on the ills of Ms Thirteen. The gang and the media was forced finally to recognize that it was a real problem and the president actually there was merit to his argument and there were areas of this country where the gang was infiltrating and local authorities seemed helpless to the gang and Yelp there were issues where we needed to Crackdown DOWN ON IMMIGRATION. The President delivered that. I WanNa stay on a Monday night. Maybe Tuesday night in by Thursday win on a media when went on twitter tirade in attack against someone in the media. I can't remember who was at the time but the media had spit the entire week talking about immense thirteen and they were going to the Sunday shows. We're going to continue coverage of the President's Day the Union address because it had become such a big issue. The president had done a good job. The Democrats were on defense and the president went on twitter tirade against someone in the media and by Sunday it was all gone now state of the union or largely meaningless anyway and they always go away by you know. This was one of my frustrations when I was in the media when I was on. Tv and on CNN You would gear up all this coverage of Whatever it was you'd gear up this this massive coverage of the state of the Union You would all go to New York or Washington all on a set you'd have twenty people on CNN discussing the state of the Union and By three within a week we all moved on every all. This is monumental. This is GonNa Change the course of the president. This is going to change the course of everything and then by the end of the week you moved onto something else and this president has stepped on himself repeatedly but he has this unique superpower where he can redirect the media trajectory in the stories they cover and how they cover him and what they're covering and he has always been able to use that to his advantage when he uses it wisely But of late. He's been unable to do that of late. The media has just fixated on the virus. They haven't shifted to other stories. And I I my gut feeling. Is that the president is not actually on her drugs. Clark would he is just finally realized he can direct the media narrative directions. He wants to go and proof of it is when I use a service that cuts up media audio clips and like the top ten clips. Were all about last night in. The president talked about a director. Gordon and I don't know that actually helps the President I. I don't know that it actually does. But the fact that he is relearning how to direct. The media's coverage of things I think is going to be useful skill moving forward the the Obama Gate situation other one. How you got Margaret Sullivan at the wash. Right WE'RE GONNA turn this Hillary Service please media. Don't go down this road it only helps trump. Yes you're right. It does help trump. And yes you're right. The media is going to go down that road y because the president has refigure out how to get the media to go and directions he wants and that's going to help him and hurt Joe Biden in the run up to the campaign. I found it I found it. It's worth reading here Margaret Sullivan. The media is helping trump turned the bogus Obama Gate into the twenty twenty version of Clinton's emails. It's becoming clear that journalists never fully reckoned with the mistakes of the two thousand sixteen campaign coverage we know this because Donald Trump got elected shit. Ouch she doesn't write that but that's what she means. We know this because they seem poised to repeat them as you may recall the news media from Fox News. The New York Times and plenty of others across the political spectrum manage to make the relative molehill of Hillary Clinton's dicey email practices into a daily obsession roughly equal to the mountain of Donald Trump's financial and personal transgressions. Well don't look now but this has happened again before. Is Its name this time is Obama Gate. That's a moniker. That in president trump's outraged tweets is rendered in capital letters. But let's not. This vaporous apparently made up offense. According to trump is the political crime of the century and heck last injury to because he claimed that it makes the nineteen seventies Watergate scandal. Look like child's play as best as he's ever attempted even attempted to spell out supposedly involves the deep state conspiracy by the former president and his allies to undermine trump by being informed of the identity of the private citizen having covert and legally questionable discussions with the Russian ambassador citizen who turns out to be trump's national security advisor designate. Michael Flynn despite the fact that this practice legal normal the non scandal around us getting plenty of attention on Chris. Wallace is Sunday morning. Interview show usually an island of relative sanity in the hyper partisan pro-trump world the Fox News a bottom screen cry on red is Obama Gate an effective campaign strategy and trump water-carrier Karl Rove was allowed to a pine that there were some very serious questions that need to be answered. It does stink. One Williams the networks designated left-leaning contrarian tried to pour water on the nonsense. There is no Obama Gate. He said bluntly declaring trump's blather a smokescreen to distract from his disastrous handling the pandemic. Still the conversation about the non scandal went on for about seven minutes on this popular show at the nation's most watched cable network nor was it ignored on meet the press. We're host Chuck Todd. While acknowledging the subjects ultimate emptiness kicked around its potential political fallout for a while with White House correspondent Peter Alexander and others and CBS News. Catherine Herridge has been heavily. Hyping her updates on the non-story scoop. She declared on twitter to herald her story. That acting director of National Intelligence. Richard Grenell had notified Congress about the great unmasking. Cvs is hiring of Herridge. Vox News last. Year was sharply criticized by liberals who recalled her persistent reporting on the Clinton email debacle and on debunked allegations that the former secretary of state personally approved the diminishment of security at the Benghazi compound in Libya. Before the two thousand twelve attack there. So let's just say that. Obama Gate is getting plenty of attention across the media spectrum even if it's filtered through the Lens of whether it will matter to swing state voters but it does. So this is this. Is the the ridiculous thing here with Margaret Sullivan? Piecing you're hearing more of this to the media is that please don't talk about this thing that we don't like but when the president of the United States starts talking about it it's kind of hard to ignore it can. We not agree with that. I mean with the president of the United States is out there constantly doing this. The media has a hard time avoiding it. I mean the the media itself would look responsible if the president is talking about this. They don't need even if they're doing it to dismiss this report. She doesn't want to talk about it at all and by the way it will. It have an impact savers. I actually don't think it will. I actually don't think the Obama Gate stuff matters to most people in the same way. Hillary Clinton's email situation did not matter to most people. There were not a bunch of swing voters out there. Who said you know what I'm not GonNa vote for Hillary Clinton because of her incompetence on email or on Benghazi frankly swing voters didn't vote for Hillary Clinton because they genuinely didn't like her in general I mean that's the thing I think. A lot of Republicans missed. Listen just because you hated Hillary Clinton and thought the email scandal was proof that she thought she was above. The law doesn't mean that a bunch of swing voters who hated. Hillary Clinton also voted against her for that no. They voted against her because they didn't like her. They never liked her. And she was a terrible campaigner and she didn't go to swing states that she needed to go to. It had nothing to do with the email server. Benghazi an easy you know in the Echo Chamber of the right where I live. People get spun up on store to stuff and it doesn't really matter you think it matters because you and all of your right leaning friends all talk about it as if it matters but you're never going to vote for Hillary Clinton anyway in the same way on the left hydroxy chloroquine. Does it matter on the left right. Now they're spun up about her drugs chloroquine and the president taking hydroxy chloroquine and the president shouldn't take drugs chloroquine and he's GonNa make stupid. People take drugs chloroquine and people on the left. This is a grave concern to them. They deeply care about this issue but no swing voter cares about the president and his doctor. I mean again after all for years we've been told you can't come between a woman and her doctor's decision to murder child you can't come between a man and his doctors decision. Take a pill. You just can't in sweet voters couldn't care less. You got to be able to navigate through the Echo Chamber to what it actually is reality on on the right. You're convinced that Obama Gate Matters. It doesn't on the left. You're convinced matters. It doesn't what matters is swing voters and right now. What matters to swing. Voters is the virus and the economic recovery and if the president can move beyond the virus to economic recovery that matters which is why so many people on the left are just adamantly convinced that the president should not be allowed to do this that the president should not be allowed to reopen the country by the way the dominant. I wrote about this this morning. And this is this is important. The the president of the United States. This morning I I'm sorry Not The president of the I wrote about this this morning with the president. Everything else. That's going on out there. The president of the United States and governors in the south are invested in the idea of reopening the government. Brian KIP yesterday. Had A call with the president where the president of the United States Commended him on reopening. And this comes on the heels of the president. Remember where. Where's the I save the audio just so we can hear it one more time. I told the governor of Georgia Brian Kemp that I disagree strongly with his decision to open certain facilities which are in violation of the phase one guidelines for the incredible people of Georgia. They're incredible people. I love those people. They are great. They've been strong resolute but at the same time he must do what he thinks is right. I want him to do what he thinks is right but I disagree with him on what he's doing but I want to let the governor's do I see something totally agrees totally out of line. I'll do but I think spas and beauty salons tattoo parlors and barbershops in phase. One going to face to very soon is just too soon. I think it's too sir. That was what the president said. Then and now he is commending governor Kim for reopening. And you know what's happening when this virus if your regular listen to this program but in January and February. I was telling people that you needed to go on and stuck up. Take this seriously that maybe it wouldn't come here but if it did come here it was going to be problematic and you needed to take care you needed to stock up a you know. It's one reason so Mrs Griffin's barbecues sponsors the program and I I'm glad to have them be a sponsor they're barbecue sauce you you still go to the grocery store like I go to Publix in you have a hard time finding ketchup and mayonnaise. You can find Mrs Griffin's barbecue sauce because it's local it it's delicious now. I will tell you yesterday. I made my home barbecue sauce that I rarely ever make these days and it's fantastic but if I didn't have it I would be using Mrs Griffin's and you should too I made pork yesterday and I've been wanting it I call it my brisket salsa normally only make it for brisket. But it's really good. I put you should follow me on Instagram at E W. Eric's on Instagram. And you can see my recipe. Some of you won't like it but it's not a vinegar not relieving mustard it. You'll you`ll. It's a sweet citrusy sauce in the you put Cayenne and it gets by EVA in any of it. Thank you to Mrs Griffin's for your sponsorship as well an excellent barbecue sauce that you can get at the grocery store and stocked on the shelves at the Grocery store unlike so many other products. Why because they're local here in Georgia? They're a local business and their stock. The shelves themselves tell about the grocery stores and the governor wants to to reopen the economy. Now here in Georgia and short letting people get back out of their house and resume their lives and let the toilet paper flow back onto the shelves of the grocery stores and the president is now committed him. And there's this thing happening there are true. Thurs on the left. That have come out the truth. Irs on the left now believed Brian. Kemp is lying about the data over the weekend in Atlanta there was a spike of two hundred thirty one covert nineteen cases that disappeared. Where did it go? The left became convinced that Brian. Kemp is lying about the data. Though here's what happens. The state has now begun testing. Some people who thought they had cove nineteen But never got tested originally so they no longer have it in. They're being given the antibody test. The antibody test may or may not be accurate but returned positives and the testing facility that log. The data put it in the wrong column. They put it in the call of test positive. Covert Nineteen is opposed to anybody test positive and those are different things because the we're still sorting out whether or not the anybody test is actually accurate in the people who have it actually. Don't currently have it. So they're only in the positive tests there only put it in people who test positive for corona virus right now and so when they realise the mistake. They took those two hundred thirty one number that two hundred thirty one case out and it dropped the number of conspiracy. Brian Regan the numbers to make it. Look better than it is. It's really worse than this by thirty one in Florida. The same thing happened to the the woman. In charge of the data in Florida has been reassigned. She created a website that healthcare professionals around the nation have loved. The doctor burks at the White House has praised. The design of the State of Florida website. There's a problem it kept breaking in the data kept screwing up and so the woman developed his website. Everyone praised it but it kept screwing up. So they've reassigned her. So the media's now limit let me cover the story for. This is crazy Florida today has the story as Florida. Re-opens Cova nineteen data chief gets sidelined and researchers cry foul late last Friday? The architect manager Florida's Cova Nineteen Dashboard praised by the White House officials for it's accessibility until she had been removed from her post causing outcry from independent researchers now worried about government censorship. The Dashboard had been a one stop shop for researchers the media and the public to access and download tables of Cova nineteen cases testing and death data to analyze freely. It's been widely hailed as a shining example transparency accessibility but over the last few weeks. It has crashed and gone off line. Data has gone missing without explanation and access to the underlying. Data sheets has become increasingly difficult so last week. The woman who set it up was removed after the problem started and so now researchers. All of the left are crying foul. Let me read you buried at the bottom of the story. There is one key since one. He said it's buried does not even at the bottom. It's it's buried in about three quarters of the way down data access since she was fired or reassigned data access has not worsened further yet but researchers are sounding the alarm so the timeline woman creates website. Website is highly praised. Website begins breaking all the time data goes missing. She gets reassigned after all the starts happening. The data access hasn't worsened since she left. And now the everyone else. Oh the Florida Asia. Conspiracy noticed that the media is fundamental. They were invested a lot with a lot of concern myself included on pushing back on conservatives. Who said the data was wrong. There were so many conservatives who were lying about that. It's just the flu. How many times have you heard of just the flu? I'm sorry has the flu killed. Eighty thousand people in ten weeks ever know and so There are those of you out there yelling. It'd be right now but but but but but the date is all wrong. The rate how how. Many deaths are fraudulent. No one can give me an answer on this. How how many of the eighty five thousand people who've died or wrong? How many shouldn't have been on the list? No one can prevent it. Forty thousand well. If it's forty thousand at least forty five thousand people who've died in ten weeks of this virus which still makes it worse than the flu. Nobody can give me the accurate data. I can give you the data. Just can't make you believe it. But the writing Gatien these conspiracy theories people in the right myself included. Push back on it. We'll know the leftist is creating these conspiracy theories that Brian Kemp and Rhonda's Santa's or rigging the data as they reopened the states. They're downplaying the data. They're changing the data. A you know what what's so frustrating about it. Is that members of the media who were willing to push back on. Conservatives aren't willing to do it on the left because many in the media actually agree many people in the media actually believe that Brian Kemp Rhonda Santa's or painting rosy scenarios and they can't admit it because there's no evidence of it but they believe it so they're not willing to push back on the left. If you're not willing to push back a left wing data troopers like you were a right ring. Data Editors. You're not an intellectually honest person. You've got to be willing to push back on that. But they're not so it's left up to two people like me and it's really frustrating for two months. I A bunch of others. Were pushing back on right. Wing Data troopers who were aligned about the data Clayton fraudulent claiming. It was fake Clinton. It was exaggerated and now the left is doing the same that the data's fraud fraudulent the data's fate the data's exaggerated and it's not the data is the data. I can lead you to it. I can't make you take it. But the media that was so invested in pushing back on people. The right is willing to invest in people pushing back on the left. Part of that is members of the media really do believe the viruses going to rebound and reopened. It's dangerous but part of it and a growing part of it. Is that so? Many members of the media have institutionally invested in the idea that Brian that Donald trump is bad. Brian Kemp his bed. Ron Sentenced to better than they be. Beat that they can't afford to give them any credit and they can't afford to allow them to reopen their states because if they're states reopen and the economy rebounds that's going to help the president and above all else the media views. The president is more dangerous than the virus that he must be stopped more than the virus. If the president must be stopped more than the virus then the president can't be given credit for an economic rebound and the best way to stop the president for getting any credit for an economic rebound is to keep you sheltered in place by noreen the good news and focusing on the bad news. Hello there it is. You're here exit here. My mom texts me that I need to slow down so I will slow did Sometimes I get excited. The news is very excitable these days. Joe Biden Oh my goodness they. This is the this plays into the president's ends. Joe Biden on Tuesday released a three page summary of his medical history in which his doctors declared. He is a healthy vigorous seventy-seven-year-old fully capable of taking on the role of President Biden. Who has taken to challenging voters and reporters to push up contests and wrestling matches to demonstrate? His physical vigor has faced persistent questions during the campaign about his age and his mental acuity most prominently from President Trump. The summary indicates that Biden has been treated for several conditions including an irregular heartbeat. Gastro esophageal reflux and seasonal allergies. It was written by Kevin O'connor who is director of executive medicine at the George Washington medical faculty associates and was Biden's physician when he was vice. President wait wait wait where is it where is it edited it where where is it. Where is it hang on? It appears that they did not test his cognitive functions. The only test this is Olshansky. Who is Old Ski Steward? Olshansky a professor of Public Health at the University of Illinois Chicago who analyzes the Longitude. Lun Jeopardy not longitudinal longevity of president said that Biden's workout regime was a positive sign. The most important thing that I saw on there once you get into your seventies the one signal that is the strongest of all that tells you someone is exceptional is their ability to work out on a regular basis working out at least five days a week for someone his age if that's indeed true is remarkable. The only test that hasn't been done as the cognitive functioning test. Olshansky added but the fact that he's on the campaign trail in meeting a rigorous travel and meeting scheduled probably would suffice as a replacement for the formal test for cognitive function. He said the cognitive test are typically not required unless problems are detected. Have you not paid attention to Biden on the campaign trail? Have you not paying attention to this battle? He doesn't know where he is. I mean you tell bite. And he's on the campaign trail and he asks is the traditional with wish to share or it is the one with the EMINEM's not trail mix sure campaign trail. Oh to bite this no I I mean the man does not know listen say which Joe Biden Versus Guy. Not Trying to be insulting here but good gracious. The Joe Biden of twenty twenty is not the Joe Biden opponent. Sixteen the Donald Trump twenty twenty is the exact same donald trump that existed for years ago. The Joe Biden. If today is not the Joe Biden. Four years ago and only the Democrats. Try Not to pay attention to that Joe Biden beat on. The campaign trail is not a test of his cognitive functioning. Because he doesn't even know he's on the campaign trail in order to be able to debts it. Hello and welcome it. Is Eric Erickson here? The bottom of the Hour Byron York is GonNa join me from the Washington examiner. So you're going to want to stick around for that the phone number if you WANNA be part of the program eight seven seven nine seven Eric. But Mel Gibson has a new movie coming out. I woke up this morning. In Mel Gibson was a trending topic on social media and I thought Oh lord what happened And well what happened? Is the outrage mob. Decided to go after him Mel Gibson has a new movie. It is called force of nature and in it Mel Gibson is limited in Puerto Rico. and refuses to leave his. Condo in Puerto Rico as hurricane. Maria is approach. You remember hurricane. Maria Really devastate the island. He's refusing to leave and Hispanic druglords raid the building. And he's got a he and Kate Bosworth have to fight them off and let me just read us over. The tweets the outright disrespectful it's another. I'm sorry I misread that. It's outright disrespectful to the people who went through the traumatic experience that was Hurricane Maria for Mel Gibson. Any Hollywood company to come to Puerto Rico Puerto Rico and make a movie where the islanders were the bad guys and he and the white people are the good guys Mel Gibson a starred in a movie where he refuses to evacuate his home in Puerto Rico. That's about to be hit by category five hurricane. Where is the cause acidy? Whose idea was this. Americans Mel Gibson to play a Puerto Rican resident unacceptable. The people of Puerto Rico do not deserve this the trauma of my people as the perfect setting for the next Hollywood people. The green goes do not support or contribute to Puerto Rico. But they want this movie. Oh my goodness gracious And people are people are a traumatic hurricane that brutally affected it's it's affected not affected Puerto Rico and continues to this day be made into a movie it. It's about a white man and that white man is the racist Mel Gibson. You can't make this up. Why is racist Anti Semitic Mel Gibson Killing Hispanic people on Puerto Rico in a movie Wow while the okay hang on one more one more one of the most tone-deaf things I've seen from Hollywood in a while to white people stranded in Puerto Rico during the hurricane fight criminals. You'd think it's easier to have empathy for people of color than the Middle. Acrobats needed acrobatics. Needed y'all come on. You know the worst thing about social media is it allows the outrage mobs to connect with each other and grow the mob. This is this is craziness people have been whipped into frizz it's like for example. People are outraged at. What's your name? Kelly Ripa Kelly. Ripa has been doing her to live with Kelly and whoever the side kick is for several weeks now from for a couple of months now from home and she's largely just abandoned worrying about getting her hair done. You can see gray routes and stuff and people have been shaming her for doing that so she got on and basically said. How dare you people trying to this? Show all the time. I'M NOT GOING OUT. I'm not violating quarantine. I'm getting my daughter to do my hair. How dare you criticize me? Now she's Giddy lit on fire on social media for telling people not to criticize her. You can't win with the outrage Bob. the only way to win with the outrage mob is to ignore the outrage mop in the outreach will eventually move onto other people it really is just absolutely silly and and now they're going after more Gibson. They will never allow Mel Gibson to repent of prior behavior. Since here's a people in Hollywood love Mel Gibson People. Hollywood WanNa work with Mel Gibson people in Hollywood appreciate Mel Gibson but they've been scared to be near Mel Gibson because of prior antics and behaviors. He did have some issues admittedly Caught on on tape doing bad things but has largely tried to heal himself in the outrage. Mob doesn't want to let him go. This is something this by the way there's a larger aspect to this and yeah. I'm going to go on a river. We'll get back to politics here just a little bit. This is important though the because this place into which you find increasingly in society these days is a group of people who have no grace now mentioned before the CS Lewis. Line that thing that sets Christianity apart from every other religion including secularism is that it has the concept of grace of God gives you the things you do not deserve mercy. Every every religion has mercy. Mercy is is your God spares you from the things you deserve but Christianity has has Giving you the things you do not deserve. And we should recognize then and what secularism does not have as grace and they don't have forgiveness. There is no concept of forgiveness unless you completely conform so for example. I am an evangelical Christian White male almost to my mid forties with two kids who go to a Christian private school we believe in Biblical and Aaron See. We believe that homosexuality Zinin marriages between a man and a woman those are my beliefs that is anathema to most of culture these days in fact. I can tell you. I've had more than one person told me. I will never be able to grow this radio show to a national success. Which which I to do. I I want this program to be a national program. I don't want it to be just a Georgia program. I won't over time for it to grow into something national I I I've made no bones about that I WANNA be a nationally syndicated radio host. I see so many people who have become nationally syndicated radio show host. Who Frankly I think. Just throw red meat to the crowd and and tell you what they think you want to hear as opposed to what they actually belief and I'm perfectly willing to tell you what I believe in. You can disagree with me and we can still be friends or not. I get angry. Mail all the time for people who are upset that idea to challenge something that they believe even the. We're all the same side of the aisle but I'm not willing to abandon my convictions. And I I. We've those convictions into this program. I I do a show on. Good Friday whether you like it or not whether the program directors of America like it or not. I do a show about Easter Good Friday. And they're putting people wh when you get big. You're going to give this up. I have no plans to do that. There are people who believe unless you conform to culture. You can't access culture. You're not allowed to access culture. Look at it. Take for example. Remember Lauren Dagel Data is a brilliant singer and learn diggle started on in Christian music and she had some crossover success into pop music and billboard astro her views on homosexuality completely not relevant to a music interview but of course billboard is a secular outlet and Lauren Douglas Evangelical Christian. They asked her and she said she didn't know she wasn't sure. Well Christians litter on fire for not having biblical clarity at a moment where she was trying to break over an into into success shoulder. No grace in the matter or understanding and the left litter on fire because she she didn't say She disagrees with her faith just that she didn't know all sides literally fire and she's largely stepped away from the spotlight. She's got a new album out but it hasn't been nearly as successful hasn't been nearly as successful. She gun shy of doing press interviews people later alive. You see this all the time. Mel Gibson were Mel Gibson. Here's the dirty little secret. Mel Gibson is center right like Clint Eastwood. And you notice how The everyone does their best to ignore clinics with these days except on Fox ever since. Clint Eastwood Had that empty cheer on stage at the Republican convention for Mitt Romney The people have been outraged by in the same with Mel Gibson. Came out. That Mel Gibson might be considerate. And he's had vowed Catholic get Hulu or and yes. Mel Gibson has done other things. Mel Gibson has gone tirades about juice before yes totally inappropriate stuff. And they called him out and he had to apologize for it At one point I believe he had a chemical dependency raging alcoholism or something. He was a mean drunk. It had to do with that and people in Hollywood would like to revitalize Mel Gibson because they enjoy working with Mel Gibson but the outrage Mabul let him know if Mel Gibson were to come out tomorrow at announced he was very sorry for all of his problems. He realizes what he was struggling with was his gender and he really is non-conforming and for years he was fighting it and he sorry. And this whole Christianity thing is a bunch of hooey and really there is no god except us and we are made in our own image therefore I want to be made on on the image of feel most comfortable. He would be a overnight box office sensation with love. He never be able to actually have a good box office movie again. Nobody would want to go. See that except Hollywood but the outrage mob would welcome him back with open arms. You would write a big check to some gay rights advocacy group and the left would welcome him back with open arms. But if he's going to will if he apologizes for the Anti Semitic statements. He's made in the past and apologizes for his treatment of other people in the past. It makes a men's and says he's got treatment but he still believes in God and Christianity. And he still has a right worldview will check with him. Now you take that Mel Gibson and you layered on top of WHOA KNESS and outrage culture. Where he's a white dude in Puerto Rico fighting a Hispanic drug lords and by the way if you see the preview yeah the the drug lords were Hispanic here. He is with Gate Bosworth and Puerto Rico and all my goodness racism. Racism it all compiles. Its way together. We increasingly these formula formulas on the left. Fort for check box woke ISM when it comes to movies. They don't actually sell well but it allows people on the left to feel good about themselves. You know I had to give up on so much of the of the the wbz stuff the CW stuff the the DC TV series stuff. It just I mean you've gotTa have an and listen. I this sort of stuff that that turns me off. I don't care that there's a gay person and movie. I don't care that there's a gender non binary person I really don't but the fact that the in the DC comics you've gotTa have you have to have your your white male lesbian. You're you're black female lesbian. You're you're white female lesbian. You're black female lesbian. You're white gay guy you're not gender non binary non-conforming judge me person you're white guy who must learn from the the crowd. I mean air. The formula has become just so obnoxiously woke. I don't care about it being part of the show. I don't care about these characters baggers. I don't care who anybody sleeping with an A. DC comics show. You're there to fight the bad guys. But the fact that it has become the the formulaic woke kness of the of the stuff And that Hollywood believes this is a largely by the way this is indoctrination. Have you ever seen the D. shows my kids on their own decided they wanted to stop watching the Disney stuff on the Disney Channel? That the live action stuff because it was so in your face Ginger not the boys. You're just as likely to put all the makeup. The girls and Mike Gift for like that just doesn't seem right. I mean Hollywood just wants to have left wing culture as a tool of Dr Nation. And you see this on the CW shows you see this on the Disney channel shows and the left loves in by the way dead doesn't perform very well by and large. Now the DC steph perform well for a while when when they got out of the formulate. Check your box witness the identity politics stuff when there was just a gear character. Who WAS GETTING NOBODY CARED? But when you had to to it was it was how the person was defined as opposed to what they did. That became the big thing then. Suddenly people were like I. I actually want. I'm here for the action for the weakness and they doubt but the woke mob demands that you'd be they're not for the action and not for the plot for the witness and nobody wants to see that so here comes Mel Gibson who is already problematic left because he's not woken up and he's got past problems for which he's apologized but they can't forgive him because he did not abandon his long held beliefs of faith and and traditional conservatism to become woke he just apologized for being a jerk among other things that they can actually forgive him. Because unless you repent an abandoned conservatism. You're you're not actually honest. In your apology he comes out. And he's got this movie and they're gonNa let they haven't even seen it. It reminds me very much of conservatives who are upset with that stupid movie about the hunt where you didn't all you saw was the plot it look like oh Rich white people are poor trump voters. This is going to be bad and and the right shamed them into movie out and IT TURNS OUT. Actually that was nothing nothing about the plot. It was completely misrepresented people based at all the trailer and they were all wrong and people be wrong about this but with the really worried about is that this booby. Medics box office success. If it's a box office success will there might be a more of a crowd for Mel Gibson movies and movies like this and it just Cop Movies who cares about the weakness you've got to care about the witness the woke mob forces you to care about witness and if you don't you're a bad person most people don't care about it though most people couldn't care less about it and so the outrage mom must be evermore vocal to silence those who point out that nobody really cares about the stuff. Nobody wants to watch this stuff. People just want be entertained. They don't WanNa be preached to indoctrinated will. You're not allowed to say that even if you believe it because wooten is on abide by that and so the outrage mob has come again for Mel Gibson for dairy to just put out a movie and they wanted permission. They wanted him to realize this bad certainly bad. It's a Mel Gibson movie either. You're gonNA like it or you're not you don't have to go watch the movie but then they don't want you to watch the movie either. I gotTA raise you guys the story. Welcome back the full number is eight. Seven seven nine seven Eric. Eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five. This is from the Babbel I'D BE I. I saw this at just died. And let's see hang on If you've never been to the Babylon the website is Babylon be dot COM Let's see here we go. Yes Mayor Bill De Blasio has a stern warning for beachgoers in the city of New York. Today you will literally get blown up. The mayor proudly announced that he had the New York Police Department. Install a state of the art naval minefields surrounding the city. So that anyone who swims the water will get long sky high to make sure as many people stay alive as possible. We're going to explode you for going out of the water. Now listen. This is actually based on the story. Where is this clip? A list of this. This is bill de Blasio talking about swimmers in New York City in terms of enforcement out parts department. Be Out obviously first and foremost to help make everyone remember. Don't go in the Water. Not supposed to go in the water. It's a dangerous situation to ever go in the water when there's not lifeguards present so there'll be a constant reminder that anyone tried to get in the water they'll be taken right out of the water so we want to keep people moving. We WanNA make sure nothing gets too crowded. Don't WanNa see the boardwalks crowded just classic social distancing. I guess I shouldn't say classic something we've only dealt with for a few months. But it feels like it's been a long time. We understand the basic concept of social distancing and crowding and the NYPD will always work to avoid crowds and gatherings. So they'll be out in parts enforcement will be out. They will pull you out of the water swimming here. From the Babylon be. That was actually bill de Blasio's serious. The police will you out of the water in New York. If you're call swimming but here from from the Babylon be to make sure as many people stay alive as possible. We're going to explode. You for went. The water as he said as he unveiled the official New York Minefield. You go out of the water. Boom you step on the beach. Yup more minds boom in if the mines. Don't get you the heavy machine guns will this. Atlantic Wall will keep New Yorker safe for years to come well done when we come back. Byron York GonNa join me for the Washington examiner. It is the Eric Erikson show and the full number is eight. Seven seven nine seven Eric. Eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five joining me from Washington. Dc is swell longtime political reporter. You see on. Tv's at the Washington Examiner For years was at National Review. Someone you gotta read every day that would be Byron York. Welcome to the program. How are you? Hey Eric I'm doing great. Thanks for having me. I read your email yesterday. In your daily memo. That's come out now. The Washington examiner. And I was glad to see you writing about this I. I was actually surprised that Ben Smith The New York Times of all people would write about Resistance Journalism and Ronan Farrow. And I. It seem so much. This has become a pattern in the median. Washington and New York where You write stories. there are kernels of truth. And then when you issue the correction three weeks later it gets not even a quarter of the attention is the original piece that turned out not to be true. Yeah this is It was an interesting piece in the sense that it was attacking Ronan Farrow who has particular sort of icon sacred cow. Whatever in New York nearly circles about some of the reporting things done On the METOO movement Particularly Yellow did a story about Michael. Cohen is the presence lawyer now in jail That just doesn't hold up at all but resistance. Journalism is way bigger than anything wrong. Pharaoh. has done it is a mindset that we've had since two thousand seventeen That if if you pick the right target. If the person you're writing about is deeply unpopular in your media circles you can virtually say anything And it you know and if it turns out to be wrong you don't suffer great consequences you might in fact when a big award I saw somebody yesterday. Say Well maybe. This is the beginning of the end for resistant journalism. I don't think so. I think it's more until the the current president as long as the president is still in office. I think it will still be the way to acclaim awards and money. You mentioned this in you and I both paid attention to journalist for years and there's clearly always been a left leaning bias but it seems like now it's not just a left leaning bias but those reporters in the mainstream media who either might have sympathies with right or don't lean far enough left or often shamed or punish you for example. Catherine herridge leaving Fox for CBS. And suddenly it's it's the media it's fair game to pile on her. The attacks on Catherine Herridge is a great reporter. Were as predictable as son coming up I. They were utterly predictable. And what's what she did was at Fox Her beat was national security. She had done a lot of Reporting on the investigation into the investigation with the whole trump Russia. Thing with Michael Flynn with the dossier all that sort of stuff and she continues to do that. ed CBS and remember. We got some really big stuff. Recently in the Michael Flynn trial. Remember those I obviously when the The government dropped the charges. We got these notes from the FBI that they were gaming out. The Flynn interview that before. They're doing it and they say well. Should I go be to get him to lie or should our goal to get him fired? I mean this is serious stuff and Catherine reported on that and you looked at it and you knew she would be attacked soon and indeed. She is it. It has nothing to do with what she's Reported has all to do politics and trump and the number of people. Cbs by the way have defended her. Because it's good reporting it is and it's it's unfortunate to see it's almost like a poisoning. I I realized one of the benefits of social media particularly twitter is we can finally see that so many of the reporters we long suspected head. left wing worldviews really do But also at the same time it's it's been increasingly disturbing to me that the media's not only more and more lacking in self reflection these days as they demand Republicans Over go over and above with self reflection but also that they refuse to eat. It takes a lot more time for conservatives to make their case to the media then then further left. I I've mentioned on this program before when I was at CNN. I never ever was asked to talk about a story that originated from the Washington examiner or from national review or anywhere else but from daily Coz from talking memos. You name it Oftentimes the stories were were originated there. It's like they never even had the intellectual curiosity to figure out what people in the right thought. Well look they're just blast could not look conservatives. Have been talking about that for a long time. They talked about during Reagan. They talk veteran. The Clinton Years Bush I mean they. They talked about it for a long time. I do think there is an extra phenomenon here With trump in the sense that many on the left and many journalists feel. This is a moral issue that the president is a moral disaster. And he's a big ED and his NFL. And and and being such a moral disaster Justifies more aggressive tactics in opposing and so that So look Stronger measures are required to deal with his presence. And that's what we're seeing so it's not just old run-of-the-mill to Kinda briars that the media research center would point out all the time very useful e back in the back in the day. It's something different. It is kind of a moral crusade against as well in E that's a perfect transition into your email today about the the FBI. In the. Mike Flynn information the revelations because it's almost as if the media treats Flynn as the enemy because he worked for the president has as we've seen the media to even try to get out. She fired and others tried to Jim. Controversy there And it makes you wonder. What are they leaving out in the story that Republicans are trying to get attention to in? Can't yeah this is a newsletter on doing called the daily memo which you can go to Washington examiner DOT COM and And sign up for the to the story. Today is Republicans on the House now. They're the minority. They can't really get anything done They WANNA know this. This is what we were just talking about. Remember the notes from the FBI before the plant interviews. We try to get him fired. Should we Catch him in a lie. What what should we did They WanNa know more about those and have Invited THE TO People involved The the former FBI supervisor bill pre step and the agent. Joe Pinker To come ask answer questions before the House. Judiciary Committee now. They're the minority chairman. Nadler does not want US okay. It's not gonNA happen unless unless one of these two just agrees to do it. And they're they're they're hoping that one of them will agree to do it. This is the plight of the minority ever happens. It's it's the way it goes. The party that won controls the house completely And and the Republicans are not the party. That won Right but it is good to be on the record trying to get this information and you never know. Sometimes you find things out well for those you just tune in. I'm talking to Byron York from the Washington examiner. He's got a new daily memo. That comes out by email and to make it easy for you. If you use the keyword I always give you guys data a text it to three three seven seven seven. Text you back a link you can click linke go straight to the subscription page for the email if you wanna get it. Byron yet towards the end of your memo today you mentioned the germ investigation and maybe these guys can wait to see what happens there. What's your take on the Durham investigation? Well I think it was interesting when we saw the Attorney General. Say Look you know. If you're thinking. The Barack Obama Joe Biden. They're going to get indicted. Your forget about it and I think it's been a bad trend on the right as well as the last but in the right in this case of wanting to see people hang for various offenses when what we really need to find out is what happened. In the Obama Administration during the transition What sort of spying was done on the trump campaign The use the use of dossiers and and and and Wiretap warrants and all that kind of stuff. So that's what we need to find out now. Durham Is supposedly going way. Beyond what Michael Horowitz was the Justice Department? Inspector General could do remember our which was limited to talking to people from the Justice Department Durham is not so limited at all and A lot of Republicans feel that the intelligence agencies not in the Justice Department were part of all this The the interesting question is Remember in the old world of prosecutors if you investigate somebody and you don't indict them. You don't do a report he may say. I finish the investigation. We've taken no action that's it. Well Robert Muller could have done that but he didn't do that. He published a four hundred Patriot. Port and by Golly Republicans want a four hundred page report from Durham Telling what he found. So I I think that we will this. Is We got such a report because this is just how it's done now But I frankly don't know what it's going to one. It's going to say time is ticking. Away I mean it is already mid to late. May there's an election in November If president trump loses There's no way they'll be any investigations like this in a democratic administration so Durham needs to get going to eat one of the things that I've been concerned about an in last years you sold on the right with Obama here you see it on the the left with Muller now almost back to the right with Durham. Is this quest for the silver bullet. The just this this one thing to take out the other side and there seems to be a lot of emotional investment in the stuff and inevitable disappointment every time. It didn't pan out. Well yeah well. A relative of the silver bullet is the smoking gun. And remember in the search for collusion. There was this smoking or that smoking gun. It was trump tower meeting at proves it or Oh manafort show polls to somebody that proves the smoking gun It just doesn't happen ways. Very very complex Complex thing but we need to find out what the intelligence services law enforcement services were doing targeting the trump campaign when we you know we have tantalising bits of that. We've had you know when we saw news that that this was discussed it. President Obama in January fifth twenty two seventeen meeting new about the Michael Flynn wiretaps. So you think well. What else did you know that was? He kept apprised of this. Did He. Direct it You know what's going on. This is the heart of what's called Obama Gate right now But it's just it's just a desire to know what happened in this critical time because it turned into an investigation. An uproar a special counsel that consumed three years of a four year president. It's not it's really important and we need to know what happened so it before you get. Outta here and feel free to completely disagree with meal this but this is this is has been my prevailing theory about how we got to this point. Is that The Obama team. They wanted to believe every bad thing about trump and his team and his is the steele dossier and stuff started circulating it began to reinforce their presuppositions that trump was bad and that the Russians were involved in so moving forward every decision that was made along the way was made from the standpoint of this guy is bad in bed with the Russians and the presupposition is we hate him in he must be stopped and that led us to the point of them not even being able to conceive of the idea that Hillary was just a bad candidate it had to be the Russians yeah I think that's absolutely right. I would add to that a sense of deep offense that the new administration was going to come in and leave the believe it or not change the policy of President Obama and so it was clear for example that Michael Flynn talked to the Russian ambassador and his his message to the investors. Far As we can tell was You got these new sanctions. Don't don't escalate it. You know a respond You know in in proportion if you must that's fine but we'll talk about it later when we're office that's that's what new administration's always do but it involved changing the the policies that President Obama. I think they were deeply offended by and You Mix that with the suspicion and what you were talking about this this view of trump. Then you get what what they did. And the rest is history. There is news is very good news in the state of Georgia. Right now I don't know that it's embargoed. I was told it it. It isn't GonNa hit the wires for a little while can I? Can I tell you can you? Can I tell you in advance? Because it hasn't hit the new service yet. In fact let me make sure. Let me make sure I see on. I duNno I may get in trouble for letting y'all in on the secret but it's really good news and I think it's news that you need to know let's see. No no no no. It's no and the wires yet. I should I tell you guys I I'm thinking I can tell you 'cause it's GonNa hit the news. I might as well break the news. There's breaking news this is. This is big breaking news for the first time since the beginning of April hospitalizations in Georgia are below one thousand for the virus. That's remarkable Since the beginning of April we've had at least one thousand people in hospital care for covered. Nineteen Georgia until today. We're now below that that is good news And we should all be happy with that news. We should all be happy with the progress in the state in. This gets back into what I was talking about earlier. That you've got people who don't want to accept the good news now now. There are those who don't want to accept the good use because things have been so bad they don't WanNa get disappointed at the bottom falls out a you know. I I do think in fact let me read you my daily. So if you text data to three three seven seven seven you're going to get back to the Department Kathleen the issue me in the New York thing and you're GonNa get another text message later and is going to say. Hey I've got this daily newsletter you know I pay for the text service on a pocket. I do all the stuff We don't have advertisers subsidizing. It and one of the great ways to help me is to subscribe. It's just seven bucks to subscribe to the email that I send out whether you do or you. Don I try to make a portion of it freely available to everyone and let me read you how I started today. I suspect this is me writing this morning. I suspect we may see a viral rebound in the United States. That pushes some to aggressively. Go back into a lockdown. I don't know that the United States will but I also think so much. Media Rage reporting has happened about trump in the virus that the media has largely failed to note just how similar other countries have performed to the United States. This suggests it is not trump but the virus unfortunately the media is in permanently is permanently in blame trump mode. Certainly they're legitimate. Criticisms silly me just thinks when the entire planetary governmental systems behave similarly that it's not the president of the United States but some are external factor like a microscopic entity likewise other countries are seen viral rebounds contemplating new lockdowns. So I expect that here too I do I I expect. We will see a governmental lockdown. Our at least an a tip. Because I think we'll see a potential viral rebound. I hope not I really hope. Not But if every other country on the planet is starting to see it I but how are we going to be an exception but that should not mean we avoid the good news and the good news is that we have a trend line in the right direction? We have seen a decline in the spread. And we are now below a thousand people in the hospital with cove. Nineteen in Georgia and we should be applauding that news. Hello and welcome it. Is Eric Erickson here across the state of Georgia? And I say that intentionally because as much as I have global ambitions for this year Media Radio Empire We're right now at Georgia show and we got to get into some Georgia news here. Particularly I'm getting so many questions about the ballot There are things we need to discuss But I'll take your phone calls as well. Eight seven seven nine seven Eric. But they've been having good success getting businesses in if your business needs it. Let them know. I WANNA spend a few moments Talking about the ballots for the election. And you should know I'm prepared to tell you to vote In a couple of races in the ninth Congressional district. If I lived in the ninth Congressional district I would be voting for Matt Gertler for Congress if I lived in the seventh I would be voting for rich McCormack. If I lived in the six would be voting for Karen Handel and if I lived in the fourteenth I would vote between Marjorie greed and in Kevin Cook Kevin Cook Is One of the gay? Murder greened doesn't have a legislative record and Kevin does and Kevin Cook's record is is the type of conservative record. Were you know? He's a stand up to his own side. He's one of those. Dan Gertler both are on the resolution calling for the ouster of Speaker Roulston. Which is the speaker is out to get them It looks like there's going to be a runoff up in the fourteenth of you WanNa make sure That you're in a solid run off with solid people. You want to vote for Kevin Cook Merger Green up there and get the two most conservative candidates in that runoff. The polling there shows. It's going to be a run off. it. Michael Caldwell is running for the state Senate against incumbent brain beach and Brandon's Fi but Michael Cole will hands down more conservative. We could improve that seat by getting Michael Caldwell in there so I was for him. And if you're in the NEWNAN peachtree Syria. Philip Singleton is the incumbent and the speaker of the House hates his guts and is out to get him and I would vote for Philip Singleton. And if you're in north Georgia and the Dalton area chuck pain has a challenge of the primary vote for chuck main. You absolutely absolutely won't vote for chuck pain The the left is out to get chuck pain. You WanNA support chuck pain. Make sure you keep him in office now when you get your ballot. If you're a Republican. I'm looking at my sample ballot. You're going to have some local races but let let's let's walk through the ballot right now and I'm going to do the Democrat and the Republican both I'm going to start with the Republican and you don't have a lot of races. You've got president trump. You got proof for Senate Jason Shaw for Public Service Commission For one seat in and Bubba McDonald junior for another. And then you're GonNa Have Your Congressman Mine is Austin Scott. There's Danny Ellison Advanced Dino. I'll vote for Austin Scott in that race and then I've got state Senate there's no challenger to John Kennedy in the primary and State House there's no challenger to deal Washburn House For Sheriff I don't know who this Ricketson person is But he doesn't have a challenger and then you've got you will have party questions before you get to any of your local and county races. I well actually I take that back. You'll have e- if you're you may have district attorney. You may have countywide races so the way it works on the ballot is your you've got all of your State County and city partisan races and then you have in your partisan primary ballot you've got your partisan primary questions and you've got all the nonpartisan racists starting with judge and work your way down to like school board and Mayor So we get through all of the partisan races each party to ask questions here. Are the Republican Party questions for the ballot should Georgia lawmakers expand educational options by allowing students? State education dollars to follow to the school. That best fits their needs whether that is public private magnet charter virtual or Homeschool. Yes or no And the answer is yes Yes you want. So show overwhelming support for school choice in Georgia because why the Republicans and legislature led by. The speaker have been blocking school choice. You WanNA show overwhelming Republican support for that number. Two should voting the Republican primary be limited to voters registered as Republicans. Yes you should have closed primaries. Republicans should only be the ones allowed to vote Republicans Democrats Democrats And should candidates for board of education be required to declare their political party? I don't see a reason why Why though no? I'm opposed to partisan boards of election Educating your child should not be partisan Now that leads me into the nonpartisan racist and I WANNA get there but first let's deal with the person races on the democratic ballot The Democrats will also have a a ballot nine. He's mine the first race will be for president and you'll go in there's going to be Biden Sanders. There's not let me read you. The names Michael Bennett. Joseph Biden Michael Bloomberg Pete. Buddha judge John Delaney Tulsi Gabbard. Amy Klobuchar Divall Patrick Bernie Sanders Tom. Steyer Elizabeth Warren and Andrew Yang. They will all be on the ballot. And then you'll have your Senate race for the Democrats Ciro rigs Emeco Markeith Jesus James Knox Tricia carpenter mccracken. Jon Ossoff Maya Dillard Smith and Theresa Tomlinson. They'll be your Senate candidates you'll have for public service. Commissioner Robert Bryant will be a candidate. You'll have another race where you'll be able to choose between Daniel Blackman and John Knoll the challenge Lauren bubble. You'll have your congressional races and then you will have your State House and State Senate races. And then you'll have your county partisan races district attorney clerk of Court Sheriff Tax Commissioner solicitor all those sorts of things. Then you will get into the Democratic Party Kushner. Listen to these. These are what the Democratic Party once you pulled on should Georgians work to stop climate change and listen to the scientific community which recommends immediate action to combat the serious threat to our planet. That's question one question. Two should Georgia enact basic standards to protect our environment for from wasteful plastic items that pollute our state question. Three should every eligible Georgian be allowed to register to vote on election day. To make sure everyone can exercise the right to vote question four should Georgia take partisanship out of the redistricting process to have an independent commission? Draw district lines instead of politicians question. Five should our criminal justice system in the discriminatory cash bailout system that allows the wealthy to buy their way to jail while disadvantage lower income. Georgia with a wait. What this question screwed up shooed hour of reading it. Word for word on the ballot. Should our criminal justice system end the discriminatory cash bail system that allows the wealthy to buy their way out of jail while disadvantage ing? Oh I see a disadvantage in lower income. Georgia's okay and then question. Six should every Georgia that has served their sentence for crime. They committed be allowed to have their voting rights restored. The Democrats always asked questions. And just so you understand about these. Because I've gotten these questions about Whitewater these questions. What are these questions are we amended got Susan No These are primary questions. Each party is allowed to put questions on their primary. Party's ballot They have to help pay for the cost and they always ask questions catering to their crowd. They typically come from their conventions their passed by resolution and they're put on the ballot. The Democrats always asked Moore. They're always about stuff like this environmental nonsense and whatnot. Now once you get past all the partisan stuff to the nonpartisan stuff Big Question is The nonpartisan general election for Supreme Court Justice Beth best skin or Charlie Bethel Charlie Bethel is the incumbent and you want to vote for Charlie Bethel listed. A best best is a very nice person but Charlie Hudson nothing wrong as the incumbent. He's also more pro life than baskin So you want to vote for Charlie Bethel you want to make sure you support the incumbents in these Supreme Court races. These are Brian. Kemp picks among others. They deserve to be supported. Sarah Hawkins Warren As well for this report you WanNa vote for her And then you'll have court of appeals races. You'll have Your Superior Court races and the like you. Just vote for the incumbent spokes. Just vote for the incumbents in you will not go wrong supporting the incumbents And then in some places you will have votes for coroner for County Nonpartisan Racist for boards of Education for mayor and the lake Gosh I gotTa Tell You. I'm the so I'm living in making and we've gotta we've got a five person mayoral primary and I don't know I guess don't know this Blake Sullivan Guy. But I I like Larry Slesinger. And we'll vote for Larry. Slesinger Blake Sullivan I'm not really excited about any of the other candidates but that's just for me locally where I am I like Larry But I don't know that Larry Hi I don't he campaign. There's been so much you can campaigns I don't know but nonetheless it'll be Blake Sullivan lyrics lesson for me. That's the ballot the big races though. The partisan races are going to be your Senate race if you're a Democrat and some state legislative races and if you're Republican the Ninth Congressional district that's Northeast Georgia the Fourteenth Congressional district. That is northwest Georgia. And the seventh Congressional district that is northwest of downtown Atlanta. The northeast rather the Gwinnett county area and it stretches north up towards Gainesville Close they're not quite to Gainesville not quite the hall county That's and Mike entrepreneurs in that race and she'd be fine I think Richard McCormick will wind up being a more reliable conservative. Ted and Mike Lee in a number of others have come out for McCormack. I think he would be great that race by the way is going to be a one. The Democrats want to pick up and one the Democrats could pick up a so. You need your best candidate forward in that race and in the sixth Congressional District Karen. Handel wants to challenge loosened me bath. Macbeth got the seat from Karen Handel. Two Years Ago Karen. Handel is back again to try to challenge and take back the seat But it's going to be a it's GonNa be a messy messy race in the statewide level though Absolutely you want to vote for You WanNa vote for if you live up in north of Atlanta in the Cherokee County And North Atlanta area. You want to vote for Michael Caldwell for the state Senate just hands down. If you're in the Newnan Peachtree City area you hands down. You want to vote for the four Philip Singleton and If you live in the Ding County area and you head out towards West Georgia they're You won't vote for Jason Editor. Tei You absolutely want to support him. He is a solid solid candidate. Those are my picks right now I may add to them. I'll put them somewhere and let you know. But one big thing is for the nonpartisan Superior Superior Court. Races vote for the incumbents. They really are good. Conservatives more conservative than those who are challenging them. So I highly recommend that you do that now to the phones John. Calling from mcdonagh. You're going to be next to the program welcome. Hey Hey eric. How's it going headed? Had I'm doing well doing well thought I was watching? Tv tonight and On the radical Fox News and they had Actually to business. I was watching Lou. Dobbs it was talking about. We've got to prosecute Obama. We've prosecute Biden for their obvious Watergate. Nixon ask escapades that they have participated in But I think that that's only GonNa make them martyrs and That would rally the Democratic side. I would much prefer that everyone under them be aggressively judiciously prosecuted so much so is to make examples of them much like they tried to make examples of Roger Stone and Carter page Because that would definitely lend a lesson to the Democratic Party that if you're gonNA play dirty then you're gonNA pay for it and I'd much rather see all those underlings Brought to justice because that way It'll be harder for the Democratic Party to rally any future underlings to perform such various deeds after Erlich men Mitchell and dean when rail The Nixon go democratic Excuse me the Republican Party was Scourged and I'd like to see a scourging of the Democratic Party over this. Listen you're absolutely right on. Obama and by the issue is Obama and Biden. Is you go after them You do absolutely make them eve. You amplify them make them bigger. Heroes you incentivize people. The locker up Janet and going to work with them The Democrats will turn people frankly. It is rather a third world kleptocracy to go after the former leaders. I it is whether you want to admit it or not This is what Third World governments do. And if the trump administration does it to Biden and Obama you can be one billion percent. Sure that the moment they are no longer in office the democrats are going to go after them and it just becomes a tit-for-tat that totally undermines of the foundations of the republic to to go after the prior leader You go after you do it investigation and you see what did Rahm. But here's the thing you got to actually do a real investigation and what Durham is doing. And there may be no criminal charges. He may find nothing wrong in. That'll never placate Republicans. But you go down. This road of investigation encounter investigation of the prior administrations. What we really need to do is try to find the truth If we make it about just Grievances and scoring points and settling things. Then you're going to see it spiral out of control. Let's just find the truth of what they did? Because clearly there were people absolutely. Maybe some of them duty to go to jail. There were people who overstepped their bounds because they hated donald trump so much they wanted to stop him and they sacrificed any objectivity they might have had to believe the worst about the incoming president to try to stop him. Hello there it is. You're here in here. I- neighbor just sent me this. We were planning on For the Fourth of July going to Hilton head and the headline in the island Packet Hilton head. You would see the Finns coming out of the water. And I would be freaked out man. I hated to go in the water And of course everybody else knew that there were porpoises because they had a flat tails parallel to the water. And but man I was. I was just convinced So you know if the tail if you see the income of the water and the tail is is up and down as opposed to across that you're dealing with the shark but yeah I I know now nowadays. I like to go to the beach. One day I'd love to have a house in Hilton head and just be able to sit there and watch. The dolphins from the balcony washed the dolphins. The where I I love it but yeah I'll stay out of the water if they're sharks but I'm going by God am I going he. We gotta move on to other things. there is actually some more good news out there that you need to know about you. Have you heard all of the stories about people? Getting reinfected have been people who tested positive again for After they've recovered and they've tested positive. You've heard the story. It's happened in Korea South Korea. It's happened into one. It's Taiwan Taiwan has happened in Japan. It's happened now. In the United States there are people who they fully recover and then they get tested a second time and they test positive and there has been a big debate in the scientific community as to whether or not people are getting reinfected and Kenya get reinfected. It's actually one of the unknown things about the virus. Can you get reinfected? Well there is a new study out that The patients who are testing positive in presumed reinfected are not actually reinfected They are the virus is the test is detecting the virus that their body continues to shed. Researchers are finding evidence that patients who test positive for the corona virus after recovering. Art capable of transmitting the infection and could have the antibodies that prevent them from falling sick again. Scientists from the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Study two hundred eighty five. Covert Nineteen survivors. Who had tested positive for the corona virus after their illness had resolved as indicated by previous negative results? The so called positive patients weren't found to have spread any lingering. Infection and virus samples collected from them couldn't be grown in culture indicating the patients were shedding non infectious or dead virus particles. The findings are a positive sign for regions looking to open up as more patients recover from the pandemic so that is more good news to add to the body of good news including the latest news from Georgia that hospitalizations have fallen below a thousand for the first time since the beginning of April. Good news all around right now on this. You can call in. Welcome media's Eric Erickson here eight seven seven nine seven Eric. Eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five and keep in. Mind that if you want Byron your shoes litter or you want to see the daily totals for the Corolla virus spread in Georgia text. The word data three three seven seven seven. I'll get you back and let me give you that. Update right now. Thirty eight thousand. Six hundred twenty four confirmed cases. But that's cumulative not current. There are only a couple thousand current cases in Georgia which is really good There are seven thousand two cumulative hospitalizations in Georgia but less than a thousand current. And that's the first time since the exact date is April eighth on April eighth. The state of Georgia crossed over the thousand hospital bed mark. And we've been above a thousand people in hospitals in Georgia for Cova nineteen since April Eighth. And now we're below it and that is a good thing and the progress continues In fact the governor's office reached about me talking to him this afternoon. If I talked to him I'm be sure to bring you guys my interview with him tomorrow morning But it's really good news really really good news and we should Be Celebrating that good news. Now there is other news out there as well that we need to get to including You know in the seventh Congressional district Alexandria Cossio Cortes has weighed in on Nabila Islam Once the the that is the best known liberal in the district and the best known liberal in the country is now jumping in because of quote unquote is Lonzo campaign. Because of her working class background it provides her with unique insight into what Americans go through on a regular basis. That's right Alexandria Cossio Cortes Wayne. And you know we haven't done this in a while we while she's weighing in on the Bela Islam because of her working class background providing unique insight into what Americans go through on a regular basis. We should consider the unique insights that we get from Alexandria Cossio Cortez her actual words and now deep thoughts bags Andrea conceal tins. I mean it's true. It's like we need to take a look at factory farming. You know period. It's wild it's not like to say we're going to force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that but it's to say listen. Maybe you shouldn't be eating a hamburger for breakfast lunch and dinner like let's keep it. Real was deep thoughts Alexandria Cortes those were actual words. All we did is is take the transcript of her actual words. That was Alexandria Kazu. Cortez who has seen fit to weigh in on a race here in Georgia The seventh Congressional district That a lot of Democrats a lot of people think could potentially go to the Democrats in November and you know the polling right now is very favorable to the Democrats but it's all a reaction to the virus. It's other police wrong. It's just that the polling is right now. It's not pulling in the future. We're not getting a sense of where the race may be There's no reason to panic about it. They're they're actually a a real. There's a real divide in the country. That is well. It's not going away and it's reflected in the polling and and there's a real angst in the polling there's a real angst in the country right now over the direction of the country because they're worried about the virus in there as I mentioned before there are so many people who don't want to take advantage of the good news because they're so worried about more bad news. Come in and I understand that but you can only take so far. Well I I I need to move onto something away from the virus because Do you know what gas leading is? Hang on a SEC. LemMe Lemme we're here it is. I need to read the wikipedia injury for Ya. Gas Lighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person or group covertly sows seeds of doubt in a targeted individual making them question their own memory perception or judgment often evoking in them cognitive dissonance and other changes such as low self esteem using denial misdirection contradiction and misinformation gas leading involves attempts to destabilize the victim and de legitimize the victims beliefs. Instances can range from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents occurred to the staggering or bizarre events by the accuser with the intention of this Rita the victim the term originated from the British. Play Gas Light In nineteen thirty eight but performed as Angel Street in the United States it was adapted into films in nineteen forty nine hundred. Forty four. Both called gaslight. The term has been used in clinical psychological literature as well as in political commentary In the play gas light this husband attempts to convince his wife and others that the wife is insane by manipulating small elements of their environment and insisting she is mistaken remembering things incorrectly or delusional when she points out these changes. The place title alludes to how the abusive husband slowly dims gas lights in their home while pretending. Nothing has changed in an effort to make his wife doubt her own perceptions. He further uses the lights in the sealed-off Attic to secretly search for jewels belonging. To a woman who he is murdered he makes loud sounds as he searches including himself. The wife repeatedly asks her husband to confirm her perceptions about the dimming lights noises and voices but in defiance of reality he keeps insisting the lights are the same and instead that she is going insane he intends on having her assessed and committed to a mental institution after which he will be able to gain power of attorney over her and search more effectively gas lighting. We are being gassed. Lit by the Democrats and the feminists. Let me read you. The headline. This is a a opinion piece of the New York Times. Believe all women is a right wing trap. Joe Biden has been accused of sexual assault and conservatives are having a field day exultant that they've caught feminists in a new hypocrisy trap. A woman with no corroboration beyond contemporaneous accounts charges a powerful man with the decades. Old Crime Does it that sound mighty close to Christine Blazey forge complaint against Supreme Court nominee Brett capital yet this time many liberals who championed the metoo movement seems skeptical. Gotcha Tim Graham executive editor of newsbusters. Where's the Metoo Movement of the story? What happened to their rigid. Believable Women Boilerplate Fox News host Tucker Carlson the infuriating the sickening hypocrisy of the media the professional feminist movement. Believe all women. No they don't White House Adviser Kellyanne Conway. Three magic words believe all women. I didn't hear in Asterix. In fact believe all women does have an asterix. It's never been feminist boilerplate. What we are witnessing. Other instance of the right decrying would it? Imagines the Americans Women Movement to be spins the mind numbing hours tracking the origins of believe all women on social media sites and use databases as I did. And you'll discover how language like a virus can mutate yesterday's quote suffer the insertion of some foreign DNA all the word inserted was all the rage during the capital hearings with senator from Comma Harris Harris to Maisy Geraldo had their regard for Dr Blazes credibility elevated by Fox News pundits to universal gender credulity. They're actual words. I believe her became believe all women. That's literally the Hashtag former Fox News contributor Morgan Ortega said in February two thousand nine. There's a great search function on twitter. You can search believe all women for those of you. Don't believe that's what the Democrat of the cavenaugh case is they're literally a Hashtag while kind of meaningfully tracking hashtags on twitter as a confounding chore even for the Professional Data scrapers I consulted. It's a very interesting rabbit hole. Pablo Morales Henry Digital archivist at Harvard University Slesinger Library which maintains a collection of more than thirty million to related tweets told me nevertheless. Let's take the challenge S. she doted. Twitter has a search function while hardly great does at least crudely reflect the. Site's use type in. Believe all women for twenty seventeen in the me too movement took off in. October and you get several dozen references followed in October by many more. Here's the thing I found. The HASHTAG is by a wide merging used mostly by stretchers. We wait wait wait. Let me read this again. I found the Hashtag is by a wide margin used mostly by its detractors. So another words. There are people on the left. Who used believe women you know? Here's the thing. This is gas lighting. It was objectively true that believe all women and believe women were both things the left claimed we saw Republicans attacked for refusing to believe women for for claiming we saw Hollywood celebrities. Say that The you had to believe women you had to believe all women us all the time and time again and now they're say no not really no it was actually people on the right say well of course people the right were saying it because we were mocking the people on the left. Saint believe all women. You had Hollywood celebrity saying this. You had Hollywood celebrities leading the charge about believe all women you saw it with the accusations against Weinstein you saw it with the ACURA. She's Matt Lauer with Bill Cosby with with With Charlie. What's his name Charlie rose and you saw with bread capital believable women and now here come the Feminazi. No actually it was really the right using that with this gas lighting folks. This has gas lighting. I lived through the Brett cavill controversy. I was routinely assailed on TV for defending Brett capital and not believing Christine Blazey Ford and was told we have an obligation the society to believe all women. I lived through this. I lived through the hate mail. I lived through the reporter. Sydney me nasty notes that I thought you were better than this and now here comes this. Feminists aid no. We really didn't do all that. Yes you damn well did did it to me on a regular basis. You did it to people. I know who who on a regular basis were sailed for being misogynist for dairy not to believe all women not just Christine Blazey Ford. A now here you come saying actually know. The New York Times has already run pieces by other feminists and yeah as a matter of fact I believe all women and even though I believe utero read. I'm going to support Joe Biden with this is all about. This is crazy gas lighting. This is ridiculous. Gas Lighting and the New York Times is allowing it. Because they've got a help Joe Biden by the way I. I don't think there's the I don't think there's a there. There with terror except to the extent that it undermines further undermined media credibility and it should further undermine Meteo credibility We deserve to have the media undermined for the credibility. They did a terrible job. They genuinely did a terrible job and the fact that so many of them are now trying to rewrite history from just two years ago. That every single person who's been alive in an adult paid attention to new unless you're Joe Biden who's probably been senile for several years. The rest of US already knew this and now they're trying to revise it now. They're trying to say we didn't really mean it that way or you're putting words in our mouths. We're not putting words in your mouth. You set it. You believed it until it became inconvenient because it was a woman going after a Democrat and so now they have to gas lettuce. They've been accusing. Donald Trump of gasoline people for three years. And now they're doing it. They are no better than what they claim him to be again. How did I start this program? Eight is Donald Trump's unique superpower to make other people behave in the way. They claim he behaves. You Think Donald Trump gas slice people will buy. God you're going to you think. Donald trump is a misogynist. Will by God. You're going to be one you think. Donald trump abuses other people. Well you are you think. Donald Trump is a serial liar. Then you probably are to. Donald Trump makes other people behave in the way. They claim he bathes. It is his unique superpower. They believe that he gassed lies. People and so by God they're gonNa gaslight and tell us that the last three years of American history that we lived through the capital here as the like really didn't happen. They're willing to lie to get Joe Biden elected and they're willing to keep you sheltered in place to wreck the economy to make sure Donald trump loses man. It is so I put in the believe all women Hashtag and yeah as a matter of fact. it is a number of progressives berating for not believing all women Funny how that works it yet. They're absolutely absolutely are people out there. Who on the right or throwing it in people's faces but My goodness There were a lot of people on the left. Who were using believe all women who said we have to believe all women who who adopted this Hashtag? It was people in the right who begin at the end of two thousand eighteen. Throwing it in people's face thrown into the less face as a people like Michael. Natty were showing stunning hypocrisy when it came to the issue of believing all women My Goodness Gracious That Wow Yup. All sorts of all sorts of people have left to or adopting the believe women and believe all women and the like and Nope. Nope not anymore not anymore. The we are being gas lit. Good gracious I I gotTA I. Can I give some some combination? I know this. Make some of You. Mad But The mayor of Atlanta has gone on TV and said this mayor. I believe I remember when we were talking to you prior to the quote unquote reopening of Georgia. Which as we know was very early and let's also note. There's a robust conversation going on about the quality of the numbers. Were all getting out of the state of Georgia. But I think I remember you saying that you hoped to be wrong that you hope the situation would be better than you feared and if you were in fact wrong you would say that the Governor. I was wrong is is there a is that a little muddier than say. I was right or are I was wrong are we. As of the time of this conversation somewhere in the middle. Do you think well what I can say Brian is? It's not as bad as I thought that it would be so. I am pleased about that but I still think it's too soon to say the reason being whereas initially we were seeing increases between deaths and people testing positive rising anywhere from twenty five to thirty percent over a seven day period right. Now we're somewhere between twelve and fifteen percent and so it's better than it was but it's still not great. We've still not seen that fourteen day decline is recommended by the CDC. So we're not quite there where I can say that we are out of the woods. We are not because what we know is as we reopen. The state will also see whether or not this impacts our number of people who are testing positive. Listen she still nervous and I don't blame her. It has been the The it's been the urban areas of the country that have been most Most affected and I understand her concern. But it's nice for her to be on television. Admitting that things are not nearly as bad as we thought and that's good and she should be commended for that She should be commended for being willing to say that things. Aren't that bad. Because we're seeing in some places. Democrats aren't willing to do that There are a lot of Democrats in the country right now. Who Even as emmy take example in New York City? New York City is well over. The the curve is not only flattened. The curve is almost a completely on the other side and in New York. They do not want to engage in in New York. They do not want to reopen at all. I mean they're going to round people up for trying to swim. Which is crazy and yet that's what they're going to try to do at least in Atlanta. The mayor there is willing to say you know what things have it as bad as as we thought not as bad as she expected them to be still not comfortable. I get a lot of people are uncomfortable. I still think we're GONNA see a rebound of some kind. I do and I don't think it's going to be Brian. Kim's folder and just people are going to let their guard down. Hopefully the summer heat will stop that you know the places that have managed to avoid major rebound or the places they get hot and so. Hopefully that'll happen here. But man the good news is out there. Enjoy AT HOSPITALIZATIONS IN GEORGIA. Under a thousand. That's great news folks.
