"Very excited about this. Erin Brockovich joins the show and I'm so glad you are. Aaron. Thanks for making time for us here on W G. N hello happened to be here. You know, last we talked. It was about Sarah Gen X, and you got your incredibly involved in that or at least very knowledgeable and talk to us about what was going on there. I do want to get into that, too. And then some of the other, you know, your your new book is out about water in Lake Michigan. There's so much to talk about. But the storage anything recently, there've been like hundreds of lawsuits filed about the rare cancers and rare illnesses. That have sprouted in that area around where Sarah Jennings used to be, Um, and they're trying to make the causal link there between the air quality and with the toxins that were they actually measured in the air there. And these rare rare cancers and and strange illnesses that people are coming down with. Lena Theragenics actually is like nowhere. My book is and Superman coming in, but and so much to mom and on the rides, and that's how I got involved was a mom in the area started can noticed a pattern. And oftentimes, patterns get ignored, or they get dismissed. And she decided, you know, she start doing some of her own research. And that's what it is, You know, believing that Well, we may not be the scientist with us through that. That doesn't mean that we can't get involved in an issue in our own backyard. When we're starting to see patterns. There's nothing like a mom, especially if the child's getting sick. Who's going to go find out what's really going on. And you know there's a lot of issues there with the chemical of concern. We're seeing a similar scenario playing out another plant in a very dangerous chemical that's supposed to be regulated. But somehow these companies Is it too much of it in the air? We never find out impel. We have a moment where people are sick, and so you know, And oftentimes when that happens, lawyers and lawsuits do into and, um That can happen. Sometimes it doesn't. But what's transpiring There is most important knowledge. Information in transparency is coming out, and none of us in any community can protect ourselves. But we, in fact don't know what's happening. And a mom got involved. And and here we are today, and so what We want moving forward is this kind of stuff to stop and we have to take a real hard look at our policies and regulations and walled in many instances. They're outdated and antiquated. They need to be challenged. And they need to be changed so we can run businesses more efficiently and have less pollution issues and healthier society. Yeah, I just I just saw a story from this week's 600 Additional individual lawsuits filed against Estrogenic alleging the cancers and other health problems, all kinds of them That's in cook County. That's Willowbrook, where it used to be. And so their people following that day, and then there was that it's it's strange when they start linking these rare Rare health ailments that people multiple people have in one cluster in one area, and they are trying to link it to the ethylene oxide emissions is something that I imagined the EPA does regulate that they care about this if it's so potentially toxic They're supposed to. And it is toxic. And I think that's one of the first things that set the mom in the community of the documents that exist. This is what happened to me in Hinkley. And either someone doesn't know what they're looking at. Which is always scary, right? Or somebody does know or they want to cover it up or they get fearful, or they're afraid they're gonna lose their job and information gets put away. I mean, this has been a known chemical of concern for a very long time. And I mean the documentation is right there yet. How, you know all of these issues that we're facing today didn't start. Yesterday. This has been going on for decades. And it has been decades of erosion of a system that in some instances, design and there's ways where they can cheat the system. I can't find the data and hope that down the road. Nobody finds up and I think there's a real moment happening where science and people are finding out and it's kind of catching up with policies and we're hitting the moment where we now realize. We have to change policies and credit policy allowed the system to cheat. That's not going to be okay. Well in that there's a lot of factors playing at once. Right now, And that leaves me the questions from your book. It's super Man's not coming our national water crisis and what we the people could do about it. Basically saying that it is. It is normal folks. Regular individuals who see things that don't seem right. Don't smell right. In their community that you just like you just like you think about what you started this whole attention to this chemical chromium six that was in drinking water, right? Are we still worried about chromium? Six? We are and you know, we talk about all the look, you know, Environmental working group did a study and found two thirds of America's water had chromium six in it. I talked somebody out of Arizona that got the book and and, you know, got involved and got that water report. Collins that I can't believe it. I have chromium six in my water. Where we were confident, comfortable, complacent or just believed that agencies and regulations and things were in place, but they would be watching and make sure nothing happened. We're kind of waking up to what's been going on, and we're going to have And we can ask this question. Even if you're not a scientist, and moms are great at this. As I said earlier, and even sturgeon it started with the mom. You get in upset Mom. And she brings that you're deceiving her in any way and her child is harm. I'm telling you, they will move. They will act and in every community I have seen that happen, and we share these stories with you Throughout the book. We show you how the system works where it failed. And we also give you steps on how to become Annapolis. Most of us just assume our water safe. You know what We as a people, we have an obligation to to get involved in tow. Ask questions, and when they all and listen, Hinckley was the beginning. But now it's everywhere. When you see two headed frog, green water, brown water coming out of your faucet. Itjust gets to a point.
