"So that athletes are aware of what would happen in this case that we ended up with these conditions again like in two thousand twelve And i think that's the best you can do. And if you do on a move it to march you could do that but then you could run into a snowstorm. Right so fickle. And you never know what you're going to get and i still think that using the climatological norms for a city based on the last twenty to thirty years is the best you can do right now and then paying attention and having a plan in place for when extremes occur and i mean we got a really interesting example of this with tokyo when we knew is going to be hot in tokyo. Climatologically it's hot and disgusting humid in august and no one should have been surprised by that And so the marathon got moved to sapporo which should have climatologically been cooler however on the days of the marathon in sapporo it was hotter than in tokyo. And that's really bad luck because The likelihood of that occurring so low. And it's just too bad and you saw the changed. The women's marathon moved it earlier by an hour. Not only like ten hours in advance right. So they had certain contingency plans in place now It was still hot. It was still humid and the athletes still had to deal with conditions. They probably never had to deal with before so it was a huge part of of the broadcast. And how they're dealing with the heat. How what are they eating. Are they able to hold things down and all that kind of stuff. Well well i love you saying whether as fickle. That's so like it's like. Oh you have a peach team. Even you still say whether it's fickle for sure for sure i mean it's It's definitely one of the hardest things to predict. It's very can still be very chaotic and little changed in the system can cause large changes further down. So yeah well thank you for shedding some light on the subject for us. Happy to do so great. Take good care yeah. Uk thank you. Wow that was that was a lot to think about. It was nelson sarah. Would you rather run in a snowstorm or heat. Well you know. I have just run so many races in overly hot conditions So y- Gosh how could i sit that one out there with you. Well if you're looking to put a face to a voice. please follow us on instagram. "Correspondent kieran pender cure. And i'm afraid you'll home. Nation lost out once again to the us. Men's basketball team now. This is a fight. That's been ongoing since nineteen sixty four. It has the last two days have really been in australia. The us themed to the olympics Australia at the women's basketball in men's basketball and the football in the women's football bronze-medal match australia lost all of them and the men's basketball team have have never won big middle. They've made it now to five olympic semi finals and lost on every occasion and then gone on to lose every bronze-medal match to and so it was particularly heartbreaking familiar as an australian watching the tame. it's been a run of losses. Unfortunately astrada had a great start to the guidelines. But i've just been at the beach volleyball where the australian pay and lost the gold medal match to the us. I was at the hockey last night. Where the loss to belgium in the hockey gold medal match as well so A bit of a poor run. The the i'm so sorry a as we know there's a great deal of tension between russia and ukraine so it was more than embarrassing when an announcer mix them up. Yeah it was a bit of an office moment for the organizing committee who who subsequently had to apologize swimming. You know one of those disciplines that get some attention every four years to the amazing despise acrobatics in the water and ukrainian artistic swimming. A tame or in the middle ceremony and incorrectly identified as representing the rationally committee which obviously and russia is banned from these games. And so they're athletes competing not under the russian banner but under the russian olympic committee about the crean's given that history Know for example the ongoing conflict between russia you crying were not best pleased zinc as the at twenty twenty committee has apologized and said it was purely an operational mistake but of all the countries to confuse it was particularly jarring. Now there's lots of new sports included in intake twenty twenty including skateboarding. Skateboarding wrapped up Yesterday an australia and actually won the gold medal the therefore skateboarding events to women. In two a man and the japanese the home nation has had really dominated winning three of the four but yesterday and australian got the better of them but there was a particularly eh awkward nyman involving other australian Who collided with a camera. Manny sort of course little bit and at a someone filming. The action was standing on the side and the strategy and skied took him out our and fist-bump team to check. You is okay particularly skater. Move i would love to see that footage. I hope it exists somewhere now. The the us might have done well in the basketball beating australia but the same could not be said of that. Performance in the men's relay race the. Us is not having a particularly strong event on the track and field in tokyo. In a number of disciplines. It must be said but particularly in the men's four by one hundred relay an event with a strong american history and the there was a really bad baton. Shine ge- Midway through the rise and led to the americans finishing sixth which means that they didn't make the final Attame has on the deepest track tainted the games but they've really struggling these events And they got a lot of criticism on for the relied change. Sprinting legend carl. Lewis said on tweeted that. I did everything wrong. Title embarrassment completely unacceptable to look worse than sort of college athletes. So they can. I can take some hot in all the medals winning elsewhere about certainly on the track and field. Doing quite as well as i would've expected secure. What does the weekend hold the wrapping up Sadly those who've enjoyed having them on tv for the last few weeks although perhaps happily for those like myself who who've been working very hard and looking forward to a bit of time off but We got two more days of action. On saturday and sunday Let them marathon Up in sapporo in in northern japan. I moved marathon out of tokyo. That the men's and the women's marathon judah the heat As part of the pre-olympic planning but there's a matinee major heatwave in northern japan so it's gonna be very very hot we. We saw the rice walking in the last couple of days. Type pice in sapporo as well. It's been sweltering at the start at five thirty. Am and they're starting the marathon seven. Am the main zone on sunday for example. So that's going to be a sweltering hot one. There's the basketball medal matches as a bunch of boxing and wrestling more track cycling handball gymnastics and volleyball. But it's all wrapping up soon. And then they'll be the closing ceremony on sunday night. And then the the tens of thousands of of athletes and journalists and officials will will begin to make their way athlete. Tat has to leave within forty eight hours of their competition finishing under tokyo. Twenty twenty rule. So we've already seen for example all of the swimmers. The swimming program was in wake on every swimmer from around. The world is already gone. Hon And and in the coming dies we'll see an exit and tokyo molester. Reflect on an immensely unusual games of this covered games with highs real highs. I particularly in the middle tally the japan but but also ongoing concern about a staging me. I mean the the code right in tokyo alone has skyrocketed. The irs eisai's that's unrelated to the olympics and that may be true but after the two week festival of sport the japanese people will be left to count the cost both literally and metaphorically karen. The Naked Man Flees With Michael Zwaagstra
"Today. Special guest is author of the naked man flees michael's wag stra welcome to the show. Michael well thank you very much mike. It's a pleasure to be with. You appreciate you being on taking the time. So let's let's hear a little bit about that book. Naked man flees naked man flees while the the full book title. Is the man. Fli es timeless truths from obscure parts of the bible and seek to do in the book is to highlight forty obscure passages passages in the bible that christians and non christians alike ten dimiss With the bible and passages the tend not to have a lot of servants preached about them and to take a closer look at what these passages say in What possible meeting they might have to today. i've taught In addition to teaching public high school. I also teach a part time basis at stop five college. Which is our our local bible college here in steinbeck manitoba and i've found that You can never assume that christians know their bibles really well But a lot. Don't and i i know that on your show. One of the things that you say at the end is that you encourage people to pick up their bibles and read them and i agree. People should pick up the bible and actually read it because otherwise you're gonna miss a lot of important stuff that's in there actually. Yeah there's a lot of stuff in there. It's pretty interesting for sure. Chapter two for instance you talk about one of my favorite will if it's my favorite but it's definitely one of the stories that are in there The the moses and y'all we meeting them at the lodging place and he's about to kill him mad. That is such a strange story. It makes a stranger because it's just kind of thrown in there you know you're you're reading the story then all of a sudden this happens and it goes right back to where left off so it's yeah it's it's a strange one and it's one that a lot of people A lot of christians miss and one of the reasons that we miss it is that it doesn't make it into any of the popular movies. It's not in charlton. Heston the ten commandments does make it into prince of egypt and the exact. Yeah go figure. I'll read the la read. The exact passage is chapter four versus twenty four to twenty six at a lodging place on the way the lord met him. That's moses and sought to put him to death then sapporo took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin. Touched moses beat with it and said surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me. So he left him alone It was then that she said a bridegroom of blood because of the circumcision.

Dr. Shawn Baker On The Carnivore Diet
"Sean. Welcome to the podcast. How you doing today really well. Thank you for having me. Good good we got a lot to get into. I m fascinated by the topic of the carnivore diet not something. We've gone deep into on the show to this point so i'm just curious off the bat. How do i get into this. My personal experience into this was just turn on improve. my own. health now was already a low carb guy and ketogenic diets. And i ran into you. Know this kind of group of people doing these zero carb. You know quote unquote meat-based. I thought that's interesting. I looked into the history. Said while try it you know what the heck amari low carbs not gonna make them big deal. I don't really like vegetables anyway. And so i tried it in. You just felt phenomenal as this is really something here and i did it for thirty days and i went back to the the more never side. I just didn't feel good. Now's like all things being equal. I prefer to feel better. That's how i kind of stumbled into this. This is after. I mean literally six or seven years of playing with nutrition pretty seriously in studying and researching it and coming from a background as you know not only as a physician as a surgeon but also locked long athlete performance. Actually you've been able to set world records on different sports and that has always been a big part of that. Not only did. I feel good on surely meet. They stopped but my performance improved significantly in sapporo breaking a number world records. And so that's what kind of made me sick or something and so now i am Just about four years into this whole celebrate my four year anniversary in about a month so then interesting and over the course of that four years has there been a lot of close ups and downs along the way or is it just been you know pretty much getting better and better over time. Well i mean the you know. The diet has been pretty consistent. And sometimes i'll throw a little bit vary from fat. Content protein content sometimes include a little bit variety within this animal base thing words eggs dairy and fishing cheeses and but most of its been mostly red meat for most of the time so occasionally i'll have something off you know like if my son has a birthday sometime piece of birthday cake once in a while but this extremely rare. I usually don't feel that actually doing that. Quite honestly i guess not a point. My life work. You know being my fifties you notice little small things Kind of creeps up on you pretty quickly as far as health is can gone. I mean generally spend just dot good stayed good. Continue to get good very rarely by seeing anything other than that. I mean you know. I've had a cold here and erin you know those types of things but nothing but generally pretty good health well sounds like red. Meat is a staple of the diet. Talk about the evolution of the diet over the air. So what was it like in the beginning when you first got into it and how has it to where you are today. Well at the beginning I used said decent amount of variety news a lot of red meat for sure. There was a and bacon and dairy and a little bit of seafood. Shrimp have different salmon. Things like that as time went by there was a period. Good probably gosh sixteen eighteen months of nothing but red meat every single day and felt great goal time and then i kind of said well that seemed to work fine in house like know because i live with other people. That don't necessarily fall is donald. Oh my girlfriend is about ninety. Five percent carnivore. She still has a few other things in there. She started vegetarian mile away in transition from that were she was having a lot of just not particularly great health and even though she very fit athletic person but still having a lot digestive issues. And you know she's found out that basically the seating start really helped her. So i mean i would just you know. Sometimes i cook for other people. So i would include that stuff in my diet with more variety. They'd want other things other than just red meat. So you do. I never really got into much into the things like chicken for some reason just never really made in died doesn't appeal to me very much if i have a choice. I usually do like to cook for myself. I'm going to pick a state or some kind of the redmi. Typically when you make choices purely based on taste or do you feel better eating the red meat. We'll both tastes better and feel better. So i think it kind of goes hand hand every once in a while i'll look and i said you kind of feel like having this you know maybe some eggs and i'll throw that in there and it may be just an unconscious subtle way saying you know you need a little bit more variety. Perhaps but it's very intuitive quite honestly like i said unless i'm training for some specific purpose specific body composition that is kinda e what i want to eat. What's appealing to me. And how much and how often is very like. i said. very much feedback directed.

A sitting in my apartment in Kawasaki and I'm on Mama bed my phone is we we we like. MC OATS and earthquake and I look it's like, oh no, it's like North Korea has fired missiles over top of support like. Live in Sapporo I don't care. Whatever go nuke Sapporo doesn't matter he. To be honest though. Nobody thinks about North Korea here, lick no millionaires. Zero present. It's really it's Kinda just like he's he's that boogeyman in the corner but like really cares that he's there because in been sabre-rattling for twenty years and never done anything like, oh, he shot a missile it's. Okay. Gotcha so so it Down so how bad was going to actually be right? Yeah. Do you feel like you're military's a pretty advanced? Japan doesn't have a military. Oh, no, we have. We have the US that's right but you don't have any. You don't have any military assistance. Japan has the STF, the Super Defence Force, the Special Defense Force. Equipped like the US military like they have f twenty two raptors up. But they're like a much smaller after world. War Two they had to sign like a decree that they couldn't have a standing army. Offense. Force of x amount of people and whatever. So they have. Similar technology but they're not don't have a standing army. Gajah. Okinawa, all the bases in Okinawa there's a there's a base in Zama, which is like maybe twenty minutes from where I live. There's people here. So America has an interest of not having their own people get bombed. Yes. So realistically, they'll mobilize if they really have to Gotcha Yeah Yeah I, you know for forgetting about world, war two and stuff like that. It's it's so funny I mean obviously it was you know about one hundred years ago started me a less than one hundred years ago and stop. But yeah we kind of got over and we're kind of we're all kind of friendly chill like after even Germany as well. I? Think it's interesting. Some people some people. Yeah. You've to people in Okinawa a lot of people like we don't want the Americans their interesting. Really. Yeah. It's always been a it's always been contentious thing to like get out like we understand after World War Two, it made sense. But now are sixty years removed like you don't need to.

D. now you know the great your whole case out there at the corner of New Mexico with the late police officer Lonnie Zamora who claimed to have seen an object with two each sees that scurried back into the craft and took off it's one of the best stories ever out there Seth yes I have heard that it seems that the the visiting aliens seem to prefer the what they like New Mexico thank you yes I do M. and let's let's clear the air for a lot of people who want to know about said the and you you do not believe that they have visited us but you do believe they're out there you wouldn't be doing what you're doing right right George and and I I know that that does not ingratiate me to some of the listeners but then you know they can just stay tuned and be aggravated well you get your views and that's the important thing about it a few months ago a comet was discovered originally called the C. two nineteen Q. four that's not your average comment what was going on how was it discovered yeah they're they're a bunch of comics that have been making the news at least in terms of them possibly being something other than comic it's one called three slash twenty nineteen Q. four that you just mentioned is better known as to hide border show off because this guy again at the border shop and I'm sure I mispronounce his name but he's a Russian amateur astronomer and he found this thing actually in the end it took awhile before was confirmed by you know professionals with bigger telescopes the interesting thing about this comic is that it's not local it's a kid from some other neighborhood it did it came from somebody else's star system we're not quite sure which one and so that's the second rock we've seen in our solar system that says you know will end interloper if you will as an invader from another planet or another well another solar system is remotely from another planet so it that's kind of interesting we know this one is a comedy has a okay it's something like a hundred thousand miles long and it's throwing up gas and dusted about know about a hundred pounds per second which I guess speaks weight watchers it sure does what about that object found in two thousand seventeen that nobody can pronounce more more but I'm I'm sure I did not yeah more more well the move was the first one that was found to be you know on an orbit that proved that if it was from someplace far away and you know it's in there the thought was okay it's a comedy it's an asteroid whatever it is when they made a photo of it all you saw was one pixels from hard to tell what it is when that's the only you know that the only image you have but on the basis of the way the the brightness of the thing very you could tell that it was probably a lot longer than was wise who's maybe shaped like a cigar and I think that many people who pay attention these things will seem that artist's impression of the Mula Mula which looks like a you know kind of a a wrinkly cigar yeah what made this sort of interesting beyond you know your average asteroid aside from the fact that it's somebody else's asteroid that's right is that the heavy low booze the head of the US economy department at Harvard is said is against it in the paper that you know maybe this wasn't a totally natural rock maybe was a solar sail powered craft and so soon he made an interesting argument that why this might be and I think he still stands by that to some degree so you know I did they did the thought was if you could only get up close to that thing that you might see that it has a role windows along the side with little green faces fine them you never know now what's the significance of these objects leaving their domain or solar systems well it is significant this time is significant I don't what significance means the what's the meaning of life but the significance here I think it's only that you tend to think of of you know solar systems the way you see them and and they anti grams and book to the local planetarium that you have the the the the the planets going around a star and they just keep doing that forever but if you happen to be for example in the around four and a half billion years ago and I'm you know I can't say that was but if you ran for half two years ago when our own solar system was being formed then you would have noticed that there were probably a lot more than eight or nine planets may but some of them because they sort of you know have that kind of close encounters if you will they kick some of their brethren out of the next and I heard a talk in a Celtic years ago which is one of the theoreticians figured that you know for every three planets that you form maybe two of them get kicked out at least one of them so you know the fact that things get thrown out of their solar systems and you know wander the depths of space or sort of a boring eternity that that seems to be a very common thing over the next month and a half we don't we get a chance to see another comedy called swan yeah if you're in the southern hemisphere at I don't know that southern California cancer the southern hemisphere but indeed swan that's an acronym for what is that solar wind and I stopped to appease instrument that's on those so satellite to simple satellite is in one of these massive space well actually it's a European satellite that European settle like this you know in order to that a can study the sun that's pretty close to the sun and you discover a lot of comments when you're near the sun because comets tend to run around the you know the sun as they come into our solar system then you know they go back to the the depths of the solar system to do something like thirty or forty new comets discovered every year I mean finding a new comedy it's not such a big deal but this one is visible you know maybe to the naked eye and if you have binoculars even better better but you have to be south of the equator do you think it's not a matter of if but when we discover some kind of alien signal well I do yes I mean you know yeah given where I work it would be you know kind of and how many years you've been at this now what will Georgia I'm home and I'm I'm not sure I want to say but I think that you and I first talked probably I don't know in the mid nineteen nineties right nineteen ninety five ninety six yeah you were in that area she ball importer Rico at the telescope when I got to do in my local my talk show in St Louis that's right I do remember that that's right hello actually had me on is about the same Also and we're going to give you an email at the end and make comments and maybe you've got favorite restaurant to try out good idea. Have there been any new restaurants or old restaurants that have closed this week. Not That I've noticed what about you not anything I heard? I didn't see it but I heard that the restaurant that was a Mexican restaurant next to the restaurant Davenport there on highway one has closed it was called semantics which. I thought originally when I I thought I was like. Why did they name it like the cement plant because it's just a cement plant just up the road but it turns out cemented his a a word first type of Mexican food? That's their name and even there i. I tried to eat there once. But I'll tell you what I was in there like. What are you have to do to get some service around here seriously? Yeah totally I kind of like stood the counter and that works thought maybe I'm invading their space or something so I sort of went over and Saturday table and still nothing and I thought why do I wanna eat in a place where he skipped me. Would you please take my order with someone else? Being nobody was in the restaurant three people were in there and either setting up or cooking or something and it seemed like they had much more important things to do than feed me so out. I went next door to my other favorite place. Which is the whale the wheel bakery? I love that place to someday. We'll get back to their to and then are staying out statistics or stepping out section. Did you go anywhere else to eat this week I did? I went with my friend and we had Meal at Cafe Cruise Okay. How was that? It was Cathy Cruz. I mean that sounds I don't mean to dismiss it but you know they're establish their well established you know they do change them. Menu occasionally You know it was good. I had the chicken if someone says. Hey Cafe Cruise. I'M NOT GONNA say no right. Yeah it's got a good atmosphere does have good as insolence of different sort of spots to eat. Yeah you know you can eat outside. You can eat sort of the guard near you need and the by eight in the dining room you can. You've got that big fireplace. It's always busy. It is always. It is always busy so that does say something and they do have those roasting chickens there by the door which is actually what I. Oh good well not a whole chicken but yeah it had enough lift up the next night. Advertising works there and then did use go out anywhere. I don't think I did okay. No I've been sticking closer to home. I guess are packing my lunch or cook on the weekends. Oh yeah okay. Thank God so review today. We are reviewing Sapporo ramen and we went there for lunch on Saturday Again the weather has been cold and I just was thinking about some great. Rahman I've had in the past in little teeny places like New York City and I was just like yeah. Give you some good. Rahman so we've looked and there's nothing to Rahman poisons hackers. Yeah I think there's places that have Rama but wouldn't call them so yeah you're probably right about so it opened in a live in and we were there right on the dot which tend to be slightly problematic for the people who are trying to open at eleven o'clock yes. They wouldn't quite ready. I think that they would have been 'cause he's take your time. Take your time because you think it looks only two people right there on. Yeah so and so we did take tie Lincoln in the background. So we didn't actually put order and I think till eleven thirty. Yeah and there were two other people who to other groups that came in address a couple in a single woman and they sort of ordered as soon as they sat down but we were busy chatting right so we got out ordering left and this is another place like we talked about with route at which is A. It's in a strip mall. Kind of suggestion is just a rectangle. You know when you think about it. The setup was about the same t s share but with the side and kind of an L. shape sang area. Yes so it's really rundown though that whole the complex there's rundown the restaurant look kind of rundown. I didn't get that feel. I didn't know but it is in that. It's on forty fifth avenue at newly at you know way. Newly market is pulling their unsophisticated on the right I didn't get failing was rundown but I I sort of it was more like. Oh He's not ready for asset scaling. I got but it. Is You sit down at a and you order. You don't order with a cash as you sit down the table you get a menu and you order. And they're open for lunch and dinner and it's not contiguous. It's there all right. Eleven to three and then five to nine so they have a little time in between. I didn't even notice that. Yeah and what did you have? So we start with an appetizer. We had fried Japanese yams is the appetizer with came with a sweet chili sauce. That was good. Yes so the yams were delicious and a lot of them. I expect to get so much. And then the fans that have the yellow flame with a and they're sort of cut like French fries yes exactly and then and then you dip them in the source. That was delicious. Yeah and then I had the chicken Rahman that came with Rahman Chicken Broccoli half an egg and the egg was mean to be soft boiled but it was cold high boil and they had half of that so yes and then some seaweed in the bottom and it was an chicken broth and tell us about the Broccoli Broccoli was really big into software around place. You get the chopsticks and you get the spoon. I think there was a folk if I wanted but this it's like I'm not good enough with chopsticks of pick it up and put 'em take by my Broccoli. Put A bag. We'll wait like three pounds a little bit that. Put them on the plate and then use my finger to delicately pulls them out and put them back in the broth and then what did you have? Well I had the Had I had shrimp with Brussel sprouts and the other half of the egg that you got and with Rahman Rahman Yeah and then what was the broth. The broncos I think pork broth wasn't really It's kind of one dimensional. Broth didn't nothing. Knocked my socks off about it. I didn't I got the feeling because we were early. I is it that was not. The Prophet has been sitting there for a week a boiling feeling. It was just like made that morning right. So that's the same with my broth- lose nothing not your socks. I wasn't pressure. Got Brussels sprouts that I like them. Other good movies are kind of a law in there. Yeah well they're all in half so the whole yeah but even so it's like it's very unusual to see Brussels sprouts right. That was good. Oh okay I will say though the Rahman I expect if I go to a restaurant that has rahman in their name it's going to be homemade rahman but this was like dried reconstituted rum. I think was probably fresh ramen. I don't think so. No yeah tell you okay L. Listeners. You can probably see with going with. Yeah so we can have to. They only had two. It's on the menu. And that was they had a Moshi ice cream green tea ice cream or a green tea cheesecake. Yeah yeah which. I'm assuming they bring those because I can't see them. No I'm so I only ate half of mine and I took the wrist with me on my hand. Little bits of kernels of corn. And as well I'll have to tell you I didn't eat the rest. Oh you didn't. Oh Yeah I think I took out the Broccoli and I had the rockaway because now I could have focused white shrimp and the Brussels sprouts out a minor engine left a full bowl of broth there. Sometimes I'll go to someplace that has a great brought up bring it home and then I can add things to another meal at home but definitely not worth it in this case. That was really too bad yet. We were really looking forward to this. Yeah but I think as mel sort of started with we've been spoiled by having romina other places outside Santa Cruz and maybe this is just. You know we'll start seeing Mormon places pop up so listeners. If you know a good run in place nearby let me know gather we go so for me for our for our review mine was the lowest which is i. Don't have to go back. Yeah I'm too focussed place. I'm out of here. Yeah so just bend Oh that's right what did we spend I think five each no because mine was like twelve and so its was between us. It was forty dollars including the Okay yes forty dollars because als with both like twelve and then plus the appetizers like seven on the okay so forty dollars including the tip which is reasonable if it was even halfway decent both of us it was really disappointing and it was just like man. Yeah it'd been real Rahman right there would have given it a boost. I won't say about the service though. The Guy who did are very cheerful. Yes happy little guy. Very friendly also green tea. Which was you know? That's not back yet. That was kind of odd to resonate so I did notice a couple. You can see that you expect him. They got Tina Teapot but it could be that. They ordered a pot of tea somebody should just and he said to them all nice to see you again so sometimes it helps to know what to or if you've been there before or how it works which was not and they won't be lost in the future. No unfortunately so. Thanks for joining US UP AT SAPPORO. Rahman at twelve hundred forty first avenue and that's in the Begonia Plaza. "NS because so so so it's very difficult to kind of imagine that there's also makes terrible movies because it'd be boring. Right. I mean, so the conflict and drama comes from the dystopia. So that's what we get because they're very good at telling stories, but I think it's important that we have a positive view the future because otherwise because it makes it easier to kind of make it, but it is difficult to imagine a world in which we have ubiquitous a I and ubiquitous tracking and bickers, gene editing, and that's that we wanna live in. But I think it's possible to to articulate that. And. The idea that humans would disappear I think. If his technological what that doesn't really explain that scenario doesn't explain is how why people work on this problem or how this comes about. There's the thing about the new technologies is that they have all these intermediate. Versions. They just don't appear we nothing appears fully in it works. I mean, you have years and years of incremental people try like, you know, VR they're still trying version after version second suddenly one day, and then we have is perfectly working VR away since everybody's in you have years and years of the versions where almost works, and you think about it, and you get to try and there's. And the problems are also we have early versions of the problem. So so there isn't this? We have time to socially. Adjust to it. And if we don't like what we're saying. We don't make more of it. And so I think the idea that there's kind of the sudden appearance of technology that works in its intended way. And then his against all human values is like that's not going to happen. Did this who's funding? This in the the twenty years of development that it'll take doesn't make economic sense. So. I'm not worried in that sense environmentally. We're much more adaptable. Eliminating life. And even though it's impossible limiting him and life is possible. But unlikely again because we we can adapt we can live all kinds of places that. You wouldn't think but travel around the world to some remote places. And there are people living there with very extreme conditions. And so I I don't I again, that's that's. Kind of like a romantic idea really the elimination of the death of human species is a romantic idea it's kind of a fantasy. So a lot of people fear conscious. A I and one thing you brought up in your book was that it's not going to need to be conscious. You'll have very limited very narrow focused AI that will scale up depending on the needs for the required. Use can you talk a bit more about that just to explain to our audience. What that would that version of AI looks like so the first most essential step is to make the Sapporo. So there is. It's not just one a there. There's many is just like there's not one machine. There's machines go kinds of machines each machine is engineered to do something different. There's not just like what what is the machine doing? Machines do things. So we have a is in all these is will be different it'll be engineered to do different things. So have different combination of cognitive skills..
