Rep. Chip Roy: Biden's Language on COVID Response Is Always About Others Than You
"Doing. So I've got it. We're gonna force the boosters. Soluble. They're going to force you to do And by the way, it's all purposeful to say it's to help other people because they don't want to make it about you. Because then it's about freedom for you to make a decision about a mask or about a vaccine for you or your loved one. No, no, they want to make it about. You must do that for the other people. Even though there's no science to back that up. We all know that you can communicate the dengue virus. Even if you've been vaccinated. Remember, they move the goalposts on that. Right. Originally, it was all Oh, no. Well, you know, it's going to protect you from being able to communicate the disease. No. Then they found out. That's not the case. So now there's a well you've got to do it just to make sure that everybody can be taken care of. It's absolutely outrageous. And the booster stuff in the FDA is particularly telling that you've got experts there that are quitting over it, and that they're voting against what Biden. He does because here's the thing Chip. You can support vaccines as I do and oppose tyranny. And that's the point they support tyranny. And support vaccines. We support vaccines and opposed tyranny now De Santis is even pointed out. I'm pulling this up now. Broward County. In Florida. The anti body doses are being were being distributed 52% of the patients and a whopping 69% of the patients over the age of 60 had been vaccinated. Yep. So yes, and and the sentence has said I recommend you get vaccinated. Yes, but it's not enough. I mean, I got to have these and I've got to have these therapeutics if I want to use them. And now they're cutting them off. And look and add on top of this. You know this? My dad had polio. Okay? And I love my watch My dad his whole life. I'm very pro vaccine for for when we know what it is, and you make a decision. That's good for you and your family. But if you've got natural immunity, there's evidence that maybe you shouldn't get it right. Or maybe you're think so. I think you're right.

Judge: Florida can't enforce ban on school mask mandates
"Florida judges ruled against the governor and his efforts to ban mask mandates for schools a Florida court has ruled the state cannot enforce its ban against public schools requiring masks while the case plays out in the appellate court system Leon county circuit judge Jon Cooper last week had said Republican governor run to Santis and state education officials had exceeded their authority by imposing the ban through executive order and imposing fines on school boards that did require a mask the judge says there's overwhelming evidence in the case that face coverings do provide some protection for school children especially those too young to be vaccinated the governor says he's still confident he'll win when the case goes next to an appeals court in Tallahassee hi Jackie Quinn

Liberal Palm Beach County Parents Prefer to Keep Kids in Muzzles
"The whole thing laid out ready to go. And then I see on this Facebook page The WPTV, which is a local media outlet down here in Palm Beach. I live north upon beach in Florida. They're reporting that despite Governor De Santis is ban on mask mandates, not ban on masks. Yeah, contrary to with Randi Weingarten, the teachers union tells people because she's a liar. It's not a ban on massacres. A ban on masked man. His parents can choose. Put a kid. They're kidding. Um, asked why they choose that I don't know, but or they can choose not to right. So, uh, Palm Beach County basically gave the double barreled middle finger to Governor De Santis and said, We're just going to mandate masks. So most parents, I'm assuming just going to ignore this because nobody really cares with the Palm Beach County People say there are losers in the in the governing governing infrastructure. Pompey's people down there are awesome, but it's run by idiots and losers. Palm Beach kind of. Sadly, it's largely Democrats. They're all in Brussels. And I'm sitting there and I'm reading the comments underneath the story. And it's amazing how many parents are on their well, we're gonna call Pinots. Parents in name only who don't care about their kids at all, have not asked any questions about the long term effects of masking their kids for eight hours a day, the effectiveness of the matter relative to the potential negative effects they've done none of this. They want their kids and muzzles like dogs because they don't care about their kids. They just don't the gas. Somebody's talking about killer Basque Has it stopped. Anything isn't really been effective in stopping. Do you have any actual evidence? Real world evidence that this thing has been this masked man they affect you Have any of that evidence? No, I don't have it. So you're gonna put your kid in the muzzle? Of course I am. I'm a liberal parent. Don't give a damn about my kids. I just don't like you conservatives. So I'm going to take it out of my kids. Make sure he breathes in his own carbon dioxide all day in a filthy, dirty mask where everybody sweats all over the place in Florida. Geraldo Rivera Hijacks Segment on 'Hannity' to Attack Gov. DeSantis Over COVID
"You do you so we were on Hannity. Last night, Geraldo and I, and he tried to attack Ron De Santis, even though that's not what the segment was about, because he takes instructions from his leftist Masters, and they told him Make sure you attack Ron De Santis so you can take the heat off. Joe Biden has done a terrible job with the border and everything else. Keep in mind. This segment was supposed to be about the border. Um, Florida is not on the border with Mexico. I don't not sure her although knows that, so he's on the air, and he turns the segment magically towards Rhonda Santa's saying how there were 17,000 cases of coronavirus in Florida yesterday. He's talking about the day before because the appearance was last night. Well, That may be accurate. But that figure ladies and gentlemen means very little. What do cases mean? Why does it mean very little because folks how many people are dying or in the hospital? If you've been vaccinated from coronavirus, you may test positive on a PCR test set a low threshold, but it may not mean anything. You may not be particularly contagious Number one and number two. You may be showing no symptoms. So who goes to the doctor hospital to get tested? Well, people who usually you're showing showing some form of a symptom, or people who are going in and out of state building or business where they must and have to get tested. Governor DeSantis Urges Floridians to Get Vaccinated
"Rhonda Santis also urged his constituents to get the vaccine this week if you are vaccinated, fully vaccinated The chance of you getting seriously ill or dying from Covid is effectively zero if you look at the people that are being admitted to hospitals over 95% of them. Are either not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all. And so these vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality. Now, Maggie Right now Florida is averaging the most new cases of any state at roughly 6000 Day. What's happening in Florida? And what are these new cases mean on the ground? Well, I mean, it means hospitals are starting to fill up. It's not as bad in Florida yet, as it has been in, say, Southwest Missouri, where some of the hospitals there were overwhelmed. But as you get more cases, you'll get more cases. Of course. This is an infectious disease. So the more infected people you have the more other people they're going to. In fact. Especially since as we know, unvaccinated people are more vulnerable, and Florida's one of those states that has a lot of unvaccinated people, so those hospitals are are preparing for another surge of patients. Well, a new
You Can File Private Civil Suits Against Antifa and Black Lives Matter Rioters
"With Antifa? Black lives matter and writers. But we're limited. You know, That's the obvious things, you know, Vote and so I'm not talking about that. What do we do? As I point out in American Marxism, the failure of the federal government To unleash criminal investigations and bring charges against Antifa and black lives matter and other domestic terrorist organizations. For the mayhem they have unleashed in the billions of dollars in damage they have caused an American communities. Is scandalous. Moreover, the disparate treatment of individuals by federal law enforcement based on their political beliefs is shocking. And yet we have honorable governors who can act to protect their citizens, including strengthening their laws against such violence and riders. Florida Governor Ron De Santis has instituted measures that increase penalties for existing crimes committed during a violent assembly. It protects the communities, law enforcement officers and victims of these types of act. The bill also create specific crimes for mob intimidation and Cyber intimidation to ensure that Florida Will not be a welcoming place for those wishing to impose There will on innocent citizens and law enforcement by way of mob mentality. Crimes of mob intimidation and cyber intimidation. Both will become first degree misdemeanors. Governors and state legislators across the country must be pressured to adopt similar loss. But citizens need not wait for government at all levels to act. This is from American Marxism. There are private civil lawsuits. They can be filed against these organizations and individual writers. Depending on each state statutes.
Tropical Storm Elsa Nears Cuba and Worries Florida

As of the two o'clock advisory from the National Hurricane Center Tropical Storm Elsa, about 85 miles southeast of Havana, Cuba, moving northwest at about 14 MPH maximum sustained winds around 60 MPH as tropical storm Elsa continues to move closer towards Florida Governor Rhonda Santis says where the storm might hit is still up in the air. They're going to continue to monitor the track. It's going to start passing over Cuba today and once it gets on the other side of Cuba will have an even better idea of what the track looks like. The Santa says he's revising state of emergency orders in a number of counties that will look to be out of the storm's path, including Miami Dade, DeSoto and Hardee, but notes that more counties should be added to that list as the storm approaches
The Washington Post Uses Surfside Collapse to Attack Gov. DeSantis
"This disaster at this, uh Condominium. Surfside. Florida really just gets worse and worse, and worse now they have 10. Who have died. They cannot identify them. That the political parties politics aside There's deep concern and worried by everybody. Except the Washington Post. The Washington Post see something like this, and they think they have an opportunity to attack a Republican. And this is what I mean about The media in this country how they're not just contributing to the destruction. Of the unity of this nation and ripping at its fabric. But they're leading the way. They are hoping Governor Ron De Santis did something or didn't do something that they could exploit in order to attack in the later foundation. To defeat him. "You can look at straw polling and the lack of accuracy if if you want to look at previous straw polls and presidential campaigns and and presidential races and ultimate nominations, Yeah, a lot of times these things don't mean Diddly squat. So again, Straw polls are not scientific, and this one was small. Only about 500. Conservatives took part in the survey. Still I mean, you can't discount the fact that this is an attention grabbing headline. The Santa stops, Trump But remember The CPAC poll. Some months ago in Orlando. Trump won that. But the Santis was right on his butt to Santos was right on Trump's rear end at the Orlando CPAC straw poll that was taken. What was so was that back in was that February February March. I'm trying to remember when that was But listen, clearly a headline grabber The Santis over Trump. Question is, Do you think it's a fluke? Or do you think that this is the beginning of a trend now? Trump said recently. If he decides to run again, he would consider the Santis as a running mate. Folks. I've pulled no punches here. The party needs to move on from Trump. And we need to look toward the future of the party and rebuild the party. Grab these democratic winds back and I think we just need to move on from Trump. But I've been very clear from this. Yes, I have the balls to say. I do not want Trump to be the Republican nominee for president in 2024 Listen, Trump still wields a lot of power. He's still clearly scares a whole lot of people in politics, afraid that you know Trump is gonna put the whammy on them. He's gonna cast this. Uh, this spell. Then Trump has got some scores to settle. I mean, Trump is a vindictive dude. All right, listen, I'm just speaking the truth here. Don't shoot the messenger. Trump is very vindictive Trump. If you cross him, he will He'll. He'll go back and kill your bets. Well, you know the figuratively here but seriously. Trump likes revenge, and Trump is vindictive, and he's got a whole list of politicians that he wants to have primary and he's going to throw his weight he's got he's got a whole list of potential rallies coming up. And he's going to endorse candidates and he's going to go after the Republicans that he thinks screwed him over. Or didn't kiss his feet kisses, but But I'm clear I I would. I would not mind seeing this. Santa's Santa's is a smart guy. And I agree with most of the Santas. There's certain things with the Santas. I disagree with that. That's the case with any politician. I'm I'm my own guy, and even those in my own party and my own relative ideology. I don't agree with everything that everyone does every single time. And see. That was also the bizarre dynamic with Trump and being a radio talk show host in the Trump era that with some listeners, not all but a vocal Small percentage of listeners that if I didn't agree with everything, Trump said, or if I criticized Trump on something, my God They would fire napalm in my face. I mean, just a crazy, crazy dynamic. What's happened to realistic and honest debate. Politics, folks. The device of this in this country even within parties is out of control. And frankly, I gotta be honest. I think it's made talk radio a whole lot less enjoyable. For for many, many people I mean, you look what could be Rampton amped up. Look at the the capital on January six, for instance. But back to the straw poll for a second. You think it's a fluke? This small straw poll in Denver over the weekend. I think it's really think it's a fluke. You think this is a trend that's now beginning. And like I said a few moments ago that Trump's already on record, saying that if he decides to run again in 2024, please don't That he would consider the Santas as a possible running mate for VP..

Is picking up this story. And why Why you have to ask yourself. Why Why are they picking up this story? Why would they want to tell everybody That this governor, uh, you know, the out of Florida would possibly beat out Trump in this straw poll for presidential candidate Um, could it be because they're just trying to push people towards that direction? I mean, could they to say that they're afraid of Donald Trump is an understatement at this point. That's kind of my theory with this. Don't get me wrong. It is what it is. Florida Law May Thwart Effort by Cruise Industry to Set Sail
"A seven night Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale, with all crew and adult passengers vaccinated. Cruise industry has been shut down for the past 15 months by the Corona virus pandemic. The CDC said last month that cruise ships with nearly all passengers and crew vaccinated can resume sailing. But NPR's Greg Allen reports there is a problem it violates a Florida law. This ad by celebrities sums up the relief and excitement among cruise companies. Some day is finally here and we're ready to sail beyond again. Extended shutdown has cost the industry more than $17 billion in direct losses. The celebrity cruise departing June 26 will be the first under new CDC protocols. CBC says ships can resume sailing under two scenarios. The first is after conducting tests cruises with masks and social distancing in place show they can keep passengers and crew safe. The second scenario, when advocated by the industry, allows ships to resume sailing immediately as long as 95% of passengers and crew are vaccinated. Chris Gray Faust is managing editor of the website. Cruise critic. People will not have to wear masks, they will not have to do social distancing and at least in the US, they'll be able to do shore excursions without you're staying in a cruise ship bubble type of situation. The idea of requiring all adult passengers to be vaccinated is popular not just with the companies but also cruise passengers. House says the survey conducted last week found 80% of cruise passengers said they would prefer to sail on a ship with a vaccine requirement. So what we're finding is that Abbott cruisers want to get back to see, but they would overwhelmingly prefer to be on a ship with vaccines. That's what passengers want. It's what cruise lines want. But it's not what Florida Governor Rond de Santis once. On Twitter at Florida Roundup is our handle Their Henry Olsen continues with a senior fellow at Ethics and Public Policy Center and a columnist for Washington Post. Hey, joins us via Zoom. Henry. You know there's two big elections, of course for the governor. One is our potential reelection in 2022. Then whether or not he throws his proverbial hat into the ring. Into the 2024 presidential race. There may be three people from Florida running in 2024 here early on, How does the governor differentiate himself? From former governor Rick Scott, now U S senator and the senior Senator Marco Rubio, who has already run for the White House once. Yeah, I think what the Senate Right now The governor is on a high that there was a poll of Floridian showing that he would wipe both of them out with over 60% of the vote in the hypothetical three way. Floridian Dem primary. Of course, people won't be voting based on the cove in reaction solely by 2024. What he's going to need to do is build himself into a stronger Ham conservative person, which is saying he's going to need an conservative. Yeah, explain that. You know what I mean? Is that there many types of conservatives often times you have people who will focus on one type, like a religious conservative or a business conservative or a small government tax cutting conservative. And the person who wins the nomination is somebody who has appeal among all of thems groups, as opposed to really building up support among some and that's what the Santis needs to spend the next couple of years doing. He obviously needs. Strong re election. You know, he barely eat them last time if you were to win by 56, or, as the polls recently showed 10 or 11 points over Crist, another Democrat, Paul came out this week. That would set him up with somebody who could take Has strong support in third largest 18, and he would embrace all of these things and show action on all of these things by 2024 to really move into the first year. You know when I ask you about some issues beyond the pandemic in the governor, But we've got a phone call here from Port Charlotte. Laurie is calling it, Laurie. Thanks for listening and calling you on the radio. All right. Thanks, Tom. I do wanna have I have a little rebuttal against the phrase that the fantasy is getting because Hey, had a lot of non answers early on when the pandemic started, and there was, you know, mass confusion and in Florida as to what to do, and And I think the numbers were brought down by various municipalities. The Counties and the cities that created their own mandates. And while You know, there was always Arrives and adversarial comments about you know, being controlled by people. I think I think it's the communities themselves is what It's really state, Florida. After stance Laurie Appreciate that perspective. Henry. How do you kind of see that from afar as the governor clearly is the chief executive of Florida and up front when it comes to national media, As Laurie points out, there are plenty of municipal governments throughout the state that did institute tougher restrictions, including Mask. Mandates and other restrictions that lasted longer than some of the state rules. Yeah, You know, I think what's happening right now is that people judge what goes on in the state and describe it to the governor, whether that's legitimate or not, And so you just take a look that I think was the most recent Florida poll. That had seemed to sort of 53% job approval rating that the same one that had a 10 or 11 points ahead of press in nationally, people don't follow. What? Miami versus Orlando versus Fort Myers air doing and they see a governor who echoes themes that they believe in and see a success record, so they're willing to give him the credit. Much as people in other states are willing to give their governors credit for things that are done whether or not the governor's actual actions produced it. Beyond the pandemic governor to Santa's has picked up on several issues pushed by the more conservative wing of the Republican Party these days, namely social media and public protests. The governor has said his number one legislative priority. This legislative session, which is under way now in Tallahassee, is stopping what he is called censorship of conservatives online his number one legislative priority. Other Republican leaders here in Florida, acknowledge that there's not a lot the state can really do. This is really more of a constitutional on national question. Why put Why for dissent is should he put his political capital into that kind of issue? Is a very emotional issue right now, with conservatives, particularly conservatives who vote in primaries and conservatives were active in public affairs. They see Amazon and Google and others D platform ng conservatives. You can argue whether It concerned meets the actual actions. But it is something that is very much on the minds of many conservatives and by even doing something that would be as symbolic or Um, a small effect. Scientist could be one of the first people who says I did something to help stop that, and that would boost his national profile. It's good politics. Good politics, but does it cost political capital that could be otherwise spent on pandemic issues, for instance?.

But if we're talking big picture, I think he's probably guarded a little more support than the average Florida, Florida and can't even grasp talking to people around the country keeps me from despising everything about the Santis because at least he kept us open. I'm not Saying he's without his faults by any stretch of the imagine imagination. I'm just saying, At least he kept us open and we've been able to do stuff and as a result, Florida's numbers, in my opinion aren't that much worse than California's and California's been locked down for a long time. I'm really I'm encouraged by what I'm seeing, and I just have a strong hope that we're not going to get reckless and see this thing. Go backwards. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yeah, I think I think that that's a definite concern. I think that's been a concern. You know what I mean? I did just win. Win is the day. When is the day that you can that everyone can start? Carrollwood of making sure that all of the carts were sanitized as best they could clean them so they were doing a lot of dats I have noticed more more customers in the stores are wearing masks wearing gloves taking those kinds precautions so everybody started taking more seriously but I do think there's been a lack in terms of business is putting our plans in place to deal with the spread here in the state of Florida yeah I agree and like I saw the several masking the store that I was in today the customer's wearing I'm not the employs I didn't even think about the bag people the bagger is Wednesday holler called up earlier because when you think I like you get to the check out one that you said you're using debit card machine and you're like right in close contact with them and then some people want their bags walked out to their car so it's an extra you know contacted they have to have these people they'd seen a really kind of it's so odd to things that you never noticed before and a lot like body size your now noticing I never knows I was in this close contact this person I never did I thought about like you brought up last week touching the keypad you know what the debit card machine or the gas stations out it's really nice I got a call today they give you don't think your life is gonna change after this is over with then you don't know what you're dealing with I love these people especially those bagging their groceries the cashiers there there at rest and they're not making a lot of money and they're going in every single day in doing their job and I'm sure they're worried about it I'm sure their families are worried about it these these are tough times and and they're doing a tough a tough thing right now eight hundred nine six nine ninety three fifty two is the number let me go to Andrew in palm harbor and how are you Ryan you know thanks for the call so yeah I I I I heard the yeah I've been listening to this show I have a barber shop in Dunedin Florida okay and that had the big yellow note on the door you have to be six feet away from people right away being a barber you know you can standardize all you want but you're right up into people's faces okay so I says well I guess we've got a close and a lot of the barber shops have closed around now I was told by one of the other tenants in the plaza that the police came back and said well you know you can have one of the time in the shop what would you be in one at a time you're still going to be six feet away from several breeding on top of each other you know no I closed on my shopping alone a barber shops are closed however there are some barbers working one shows well they say I can have five in the shop at the time of day I don't understand how they can do this how can you have to sign on the wall this is six feet away yeah you got shops open another forcing the laws how would you interpret that well you know we talked about this recently when Hillsborough Pinellas were putting their safer at home policies into place because there is no way to cut hair or to do nails those kinds of jobs you can't practice the proper social distancing as recommended by the White House in the CDC I am still do those jobs so it just seemed like a no brainer did those businesses unfortunately like a lot of other businesses would have to temporarily closed down at I mean I didn't see any other way around it and we heard the same things like okay they can the limit the amount of people that come in don't like half capacity but you still have the barber in the person get their hair cut there right up on each other it will just multiply from their own now this is far as I'm concerned the policeman came and put the sign on the door apparently they're not doing their job but the shops are still open I was wondering if there yeah it does and thank you for the call injure I appreciate it I wonder if they're giving businesses maybe they were giving them a little bit more time to get their affairs in order I I don't know but I go back to the fact that we just don't have any more time to waste here in the state of Florida we have to get this under control as quickly as possible because we're looking at a really really bad situation in the state with a really vulnerable population so that that's gonna be something we'll have to have some local officials on to discuss you know are they going to start enforcing those measures in a different way than maybe they have in the past eight hundred nine six nine ninety three fifty two is the number one go to John in Tampa John how are you I'm doing good how are you good thank you for the call Hey listen not my daughter is right now sitting at the sewing machine sewing up some masks I hear that the public's there the recounting of gloves but not handing out masks they important thing about masses the layers of fabric that you use and I've got a couple little hands if anybody if anybody had any knowledge that we have got some time to kill if you want to go to your local Publix and and glass a few people with some really quality mass that'll help them protect themselves I can I can give you a little recipe if you will absolutely Saturday at how do you put these things together and and is it is it I wanna say easy but is it doable for somebody that has no kind of skill like that well now you need to know how to use a sewing machine I mean you need to know how to how to sell but if you do know how to sell you tell me you can go and use you can go on YouTube and there's there's a few different videos that don't that that that'll tell ya but the the main ingredient is that the the the mass that you need in the center of that that'll filter out the the virus and what yeah what we're using and what what I saw on the YouTube videos but what a nurse that was also I seem stressed it was making maps for her her because of her people the the reusable shopping bags that they sell they have up there they're very extremely tight woven fiber you just buy a bunch of those reusable shopping bag I gotta you gotta put him over your face make sure they're not they can't have any plastic on the front of the money like that they just have to make him have to print or what not but just does want to be part of your of your face you can bring it back and forth that's the center layer and then you have a seven and a half an inch something happened she also asked by seven out by seven a half brother are the squares that you need any country album to cotton and one of this fabric and then there's nothing out there you can see but there's a couple of things that you need to get twist ties or what you need to put up for the nose piece to bend the thing around your nose so it stays twist ties like like you have you have you have like not not the ones for bread but the ones for buy garbage bags with ties sure where the elastic because all the elastic is gone every every Walmart every joann fabric yes although after you're gone I'm here ties going to get the guns now I'm obviously not gonna be around here ties but but the main important thing is that center fabric that those reusable shopping bags that she showed him the video but if you put some water on one side and you can rub it doing it's not wet on the other that's the fabric that you need but some interesting also well well John thank you thank you for the tips and and I think your daughter for doing the work that she's doing on our behalf because that's that's fantastic and it's really important to we appreciate it let me get one more quick call in here when it comes to mass Daryl and seminal joins us Daryl how are you there are reminders of it is an Old World War one World War constrictors Vera for a lot of years it's really easy a brown paper towel away forever tell any anything you could cram pulled into make it true bill Kostroun your your lips were have you Foley is simple Peter Televisi Connie brown white is merit Hispanic told by your hands for rubber band around or Shreve S. you are stable to stick together and you've got yourself an emerging facemask that's that's good for a worst case scenario Darryl thank you so much for the call and look I what I love about not the previous couple couple for that that that's what we're we are seeing throughout the country people who you don't have that kind of a skill to make a mask or to make some kind of protective equipment they're doing it and they're getting it to the people who really need it and that's really important right now coming up in a moment we're gonna talk about a bunch of on state and local information that you need on this kind of virus outbreak our talk about some drop off supply locations also hotel quarantine sites that will be opening tomorrow ends I've been tough on the governor but I do like this idea E. that he's doing and it has to do with road projects wall there's not a lot of traffic out there so we'll tell you about that too it's all on the way right here on PM Tampa Bay hang and stories that shape your world radio WFLA what you need to know one in ten Americans suffers from substance abuse disorder isolation and avoiding group gatherings can be detrimental for people who need support with substance abuse.
