Adam Carolla: Gavin Newsom Is a Sociopath

"Adam Carolla was on Tucker Carlson show last night. Responding. It's insane that he's talking about freedom. The guy shut down churches. He shut down beaches. He shut down outdoor dining gas 7 bucks a gallon. He shut down schools. He had mask mandates. My kid went to school but had to eat outside. He had to eat lunch outside even during a rainstorm because they wouldn't let them into the cafeteria. They arrested a guy who was in the Santa Monica bay paddle boarding alone because they shut the beaches down and this dictator is talking about freedom. It's so insane. But kind of a bigger picture. And I think we're on the same page here, Tucker. California votes for this guy. Now, this guy makes my skin crawl. He's a sociopath, and there's something clearly wrong with him. Like I bet. Hats hate him because they can sense what he is. But there's something about California. It's like Nancy Pelosi, Newsom, Adam Schiff. These are some of the worst people on the planet. What's up with people in California? You should, they're repugnant people. I know they're in your party, but they're horrible people. Why are you voting for them? Now, that's how we all feel, but we're not 300 and whatever million Americans. You wait and see. Gavin Newsom is going to be the nominee, and you better keep an eye on him. You better keep he fits a checks every box. It's exactly he's exactly what the Democrats are going to need. To beat back a Republican challenge in 2024.

"And as we're doing that, a guy that another coworker of ours, is running down the street towards us waving a parking table. And he's pissed because he's got a parking ticket. And as soon as I saw it, I went fine. It's Wednesday, it's not Saturday. In my mind, it's a Saturday. And Wednesday is street cleaning day in Santa Monica in front of my, you can't part the $70 ticket. I had no income at that point in my life. And I'm like, I should not afford a $70 ticket. And I was flipping out. I was like, God damn it. I was so angry. And my friend who I'm talking to, she goes, go home. Go home and move your car. And I said, no, I look at my watch. I'm like, no, it's too late. I've already got ticket and then I think to myself, how did I get here? We're leaning on my car. But like that kind of. That's hilarious. Happens a lot. Yeah. You know where, you know, I'm forever about to put something in the refrigerator that isn't a fool. Just I need to have a little sign on that. Right inside the door of the refrigerator that says, you know, take a moment. That's so funny. Do your keys need refrigeration. No. So anyways. So and by the way, I tell that story on stage. Because everything that happens is, I scrape my life for content for the stage. The way a waiter uses one of those little metal sticks to clear the breadcrumbs off your tabletop. Yeah. I mean, I am forever, I feel like I have like a Roomba in my head. That just, you know, goes around all the time.

"Welcome back. So Liam, as you were mentioning in the 50s and 60s, freeway construction was tearing apart communities of black and brown people that they had bill and in Santa Monica, that happened, not just because of freeway construction. And I know you've reported on this, also just civic projects, like in Santa Monica, the civic auditorium was Bill. How did that process play out? I think it's important for people to know like was never a fade a complete for when any of these freeways are going to be placed. People had to decide where they were going to go. And in Santa Monica, in particular, the powerful business interests in the city wanted to protect commercial and industrial lands. And so the decision was made to slice through this pico neighborhood that we've been discussing. And that was justified because property values were, in fact, lower there. But that also is something that related to our public policy and our government policy, mortgage rent lining efforts discouraged investment in areas with large poor or non white populations, and that, of course, contributed.

How Have the Last Two Years Effected You?

"Is December. I believe the lockdowns began in February of 2020. 6 weeks away from February 2022 so how have these two years affected you? Emotionally, philosophically intellectually. Very important question. They've deeply affected me, or let's put it this way. Not emotionally. They've effected me intellectually. I lived as close to a normal life as one could. From the very beginning, two weeks in, I was meeting with friends in great numbers. Because I would not give up my favorite time of the week by rush about dinner, my Sabbath dinner, Friday night. That was a life saver. I remember riding, driving empty freeways. It's almost, well, any of you can imagine, because every city has busy roads. The notion that LA is worse, is the worst is just the myth. I'm not an LA fan anymore. I have lost my respect for the city I live in. Governing and run by morons. With power, a very lethal combination. Morons is bad. Excess power is bad, the two combine is really bad. People who don't think clearly, but who revel in controlling people's lives. And it was an amazing experience to go on the ten, one of the major highways of LA known as the Santa Monica freeway because it ends at Santa Monica at the Pacific Ocean goes across the country, by the way. It's the southern route across the country. Empty. People all obeyed.

'The View' Hosts Misinform Viewers About the Unvaccinated

"Was at an event last night in Santa Monica. I was speaking about mandates and things like that. It was at this church, and I spoke. And it was a great event. I thought my speech went very well, but once a Q&A opened up, there were some people there who were very unhappy with me and said that I was racist and talking badly about black people and all of these horrible things. As a black person, you are extremely racist. You know me better than most. You have the right to say that she didn't know me, you know? So she didn't have any right to say that. But she did. And these people started getting a little bit rowdy yelling at me, they're clapping for me being not a great guy, all these horrible things. But I'm saying this story because I am used to handling people who are on this left to side of people who come after you like this. And some of these people, they get their information of why they think these things about me from a very terrible show called the view. A view that should be taken off of the air. And so what we want to do is play you a clip of these people at the view so you can understand what they think and we're going to go through it. Well, they don't agree with that. They feel that their greater good is more important than your greater good. Well, you know, it was interesting to me that the argument was being made if you're vaccinated, why do you care about me being vaccinated? You're protected. And that's why we are at the home Marion. Omicron. Variant, right? That's why we are where we are because mutating. It's becoming this crazy superbug inside of the people that aren't vaccinated. And now it's affecting us. I don't know why they were not understanding that. We've got like 80 million people vaccinated. So they understand. They don't want to. Period. I guess. But we all understand that when it comes to, for example, secondhand smoking, right? Yeah. I don't smoke, and I don't want you to smoke next to me. I don't want to swallow your smoke.

"The young people that are being taught that math is racist, and the teachers should not demand right answers for minorities. Students. Are ensuring that those students will not grow up. They can't grow up to be mathematicians, Scientists, doctors, pharmacists, nurses anywhere that you require math because almost every field requires some math and I as a person, you know who struggled with math. I still had to learn stats. I took remedial math in community college. I had to get through those statistics courses and my first book, Uh, black faces black interests. I have, um, multiple regressions in there. I have stepped in there because I had to learn it to get my PhD It was like water on a duck's back. I learned what I had to learn. And then I forgot it, but I had to learn it to get through school. April is calling in from Santa Monica, California. Good afternoon, April. Hi. Um, first, I'd like to say that I agree with Professor that we are all one human race. Um, I That is why I actually would like us to stop even using the term racism and referring to things as racially different and racially constructed because we are all one race and that's human that said this Country that we live in that is going through what it's going through. Was indeed founded on the myth of white supremacy, and I don't understand how teaching that is teaching hate. It's just teaching the truth. I'm married to a white man. I love my wife, brothers and sisters, and I want us all to do better. And that is why I think it's important that the myth of white supremacy be looked at in full sunlight. And that we acknowledge the fact that within the documents, the founding documents the Constitution black people were told to be 3/5 of human. Um, they done all of the wonderful things that came out of the Constitution. The amendments to the Constitution, not the original constantly amendments. These are all things that had to be fought for. Um and I dare say that no one thinks that women who fought for years for the right to vote I hated men. They just also wanted they wanted to be at the table with the men, Right? Right. Let me tell you something first appreciate your call. But that 3/5 clause of the Constitution. You really need to look that up because that is a false narrative. When the Constitution was ratified, it had nothing to do with black people being considered 3/5 of a human being. It had to do with representation in Congress. And it was the non slaveholding northern states that fought for the compromise because during that time Each, uh, represent. Each state was awarded a representative per 30,000 persons and in the South, they had 600,000 slaves. They were pushing to campus slaves as population. The North would not allow them to do that to camp them as whole people because they would have given them more representatives in Congress. And so it was a battle over how many representatives they were going to get in Congress. So the people that actually pushed For the 3/5 clause. They were the evolution abolitionists. And so that's something that you can look up. Even Wikipedia gets that one right? And and so that bothers me like I was taught just like you heard it, and I heard educated people, some of them with law degrees, Uh, repeating which which? What? Repeating what is a false narrative and a lot that is easily refuted by Just going to the research. And so as far as America being a white supremacist country, um the first people here in the in this nation and we go back to 16 19 America was not founded in 17 76 with the Declaration of Independence. That was when, um the nation that we call America the United States of America was, uh, was founded 17 76 not 16 19. Then we were British colony. And the initial, uh, what we call slavery was parts of indenture ship where people were released after seven years, and many of those people who had been indentured servants. They themselves, uh, got indentured servants. So they got slaves and slavery became permanent much later, and it was greed that caused it to become permanent and they were always free blacks in America. They came here, you know, through the African. Uh, uh, slave trade that came here through that. But there were free blacks, many of them held slaves themselves, not just the family members. So if we want to talk about slavery, we need to talk about the fact that Native Americans as well as whites and blacks, health slaves, and so slavery is a stain on All America, Not just on one group Victor Canoga Park, California. Please go ahead with your question or comment. All right. Thank you very much. Dr Swain been following you, man? "With California consumers trying to redeem their bottles and cans for cash getting thwarted again. The Senate passed bill was rejected by the Assembly would have made it easier to redeem bottles and cans for cash. Grocery stores rather more convenient places. Have you tried to get your five or 10 cent counter bottle deposit back lately? Well, very frustrating experience. Turns out the California Assembly refused to work. Act on a proposal put forth by the Senate to shore up California's Collapsing bottle deposit system joining us now the president of consumer watchdog based in Santa Monica, Jamie Court, Jamie Thank you very much for taking the call. Live here this evening on MO Tech on money on 7 90 KBC. I know you've been on top of this issue for many, many years. Now we'll take it from the top and give us the very latest on this big story here. Well, you know, California's redemption rate, the rate at which we can redeem our bottles and cans has dropped to 56%, which is the lowest third lowest of all bottle deposit states. So it's we are in a place where we don't have many places. Many redemption centers to get our money back for bottles and cans, and unfortunately The Senate was poised with the budget proposal that would have created about $10 million for 40 community redemptions, depots and money to make more redemption opportunities available. Including is nothing. There's not a single redemption center west of the four or five in Santa Monica for all of West L A, and we would have been able to do that. But unfortunately Um, The proposal by Senator Bob Wachowski was rejected by the assembly, particularly assembly, Uh, recycling Budget Committee Chairman Richard Bloom from Santa Monica, which is ironic because Santa Monica doesn't Has no redemption centers in Santa Monica. There's only one in Bob Richard Blooms district, which is west of the four or five And he, unfortunately, um and the assembly as a whole, including a budget chairman Phil Ting said. We're not going to do this year this year, even though there's a lot of money because when we don't redeem our bottles and cans, the money accumulates in the fund. We have over a half a billion dollars over $500 million of our uncollected CRV deposits, and it's fun. We wanted to put it to use to create more redemption opportunities. Unfortunately, Um, Senator received the assembly member of the Bloom decided not to do it and it was it was. It was in kind of a brazen fashion. He had raked in about $15,000 from Waste haulers that don't like the idea of having redemption opportunities because then you go bottles and cans go curbside. They make more money, grocers and beverage makers for his Los Angeles County supervisors raised A lot of that money was coordinated. What appears to be a June fundraiser was all donated in the same amount on the same day at the end of June, and it seems like unfortunately, seminar Richard Bloom is Standing up before the people who don't want to create more redemption opportunities, and it's kind of troubling because there was kind of widespread consensus that we should be doing this with the extra money. How did it get to this point for a while there you were able to stand in line in the back of Ralph's, for example, near the garbage dumpsters and stand in line there, um, and try to redeem your cans and bottles. A lot of those places have gone away completely in other states. Of course, you are able to take your bottles and cans to grocery stores, and they they're you're able to easily get though that cash for the bottles in Kansas. How did it get to this point here in California, where it's so difficult? Well, the pandemic didn't help things. You know, we had about 65% redemption rate before the pandemic. Now we're down to 56%. Lot of places closed during the pandemic. But even before the pandemic, we had redemption centers closing because there wasn't enough money every other bottle deposit state in America. Except Hawaii and California. Have a system run basically by the beverage companies. They do a pretty good job. Their redemption rates are or 75 80 90% in many cases. California and Hawaii have leave it to the government. The government doesn't manage things well and unfortunately people who want to change that we want to give the beverage companies the responsibility. To require that they like in other states, Uh, create systems where they give us our money back for the nickels, nickels and dimes Because it's their rappers. They're making money off the product. Unfortunately, guys like Richard Bloom have lined up with the people who like the status quo, which are the waste haulers who are making a lot of money in subsidies, because when we don't Go to the redemption center. Get RCMP. We throw it away Waste at curbside and we give our nickels and dimes actually, to the waste haulers who collect articles and dimes for that, and unfortunately, most of the product we throw away At curbside, the bottles and cans. They don't wind up being recycled. They wind up in landfill because the bottles break the plastic at static electricity gets dirty, so it's a waste of our money, and it's not real recycling. And unfortunately, there are people in politics like Richard Blum, who who is running for county supervisor and doesn't really care apparently about redemption. He cares about. Um, you know, getting ahead in the supervisors racing and we saw after he advanced the proposal that would have allowed grocery stores off the hook for more redemption. They had a proposal that would allow grocery stores not to have to redeem as much. Um, he got he got some money from these guys at this fundraiser in the end of June, and it's just it's troubling and I and I've got to say I really see this kind of blatant pandering to special interests and at the end of session He was he was. He did not get his proposal through, uh, to allow grocery stores out. And then he destroyed this bottle Bill project that would have created more redemption opportunities and help people. So I think you know what happens. Is it all is kind of looks looks. It's all the details in Sacramento and people. I don't expect to be outed for it. But on the other hand we have we have We have an opportunity with all this money in the beverage container front to put the good news We didn't see the assembly stand up for it. Unfortunately, didn't see Governor Newsom stand up for two. We think the governor if he survives, the recall needs to put forth a bold plan to give people their money back to create more redemption opportunity to give the beverage makers of responsibility like they have in other states to do this. Before this latest disappointment with the State Assembly. You want a big victory in the state Senate? That did pass it this bill, right? So who who should get some praise at the Senate? At least Santa Bob Witkowski passed SB 38, which is the bill that would have created This. Um uh, a system where the beverage companies are responsible as they are in other states for, uh, for the collection of the materials, and it makes sense because they distribute the materials they can use the same distribution mechanism to get it back. They create redemption opportunities to create automated vending machines at grocery stores. We only have we have less than 1200 redemption centers, places to collect to get our bottles and cans redeem critical and dimes Now other states with this have 10,000 Points of redemption. And if the beverage companies how to manage the program and how to produce an 85% redemption rate, we would have it. Unfortunately again, it comes back to the assembly, and I don't know if it's egos or other things..

"Civil Criminal. Gangsters. Conspiracy organization in California U T L A controls every Democrat in this state. Still waiting for for a Democrat to have enough nerves. To challenge U T L A. They won't do it. Afraid. Totally afraid. Well, those two challenges will be offered every day of my program. We got a lot to talk about. And I'll tell you right now. I mean, there's Lot to talk about in the next 45 55 minutes and again. I want you to call Let's talk about this homeless issue. Let's talk about this fake dispute between Mike Bonnet. Who should be recall. And Alex Villa on the waiver. Who should be defeated. They're both lousy. They're both lousy. And they're using us as ponds. What am I talking about? I'm talking about Venice. I'm talking about the homeless problem. I'm talking about the homeless problem that is getting worse. Was going to photograph today. Man on the I'm gonna tell you exactly where it was a man on the corner of buried 10. And Santa Monica Boulevard, sleeping in the street with a blanket, not industry on the sidewalk. Excuse me. I was going to say, Hey, Gavin Newsom in California roaring back. I don't think so. I was going to take that photograph, I said now. Now I won't do it. But the homeless issue is a political football. And we are being spiked. Let me tell you what I'm talking about. California is the most generous state. In allowing itself the taxpayers to to be taxed. To be taxed. To take care of the homeless problem. Every person in this state wants to take care of the homeless problem. However, no one has a plan. And guess who's getting rich. Developers and lobbyists. I'm going to tell you right now, folks, there's tens of millions of dollars. And and the lobbyist and developers know this. There's tens of millions of dollars that you and I have allowed ourselves to be tax to take care. Take care of the homeless problem. But it's not being used properly. Can't say this clear enough. The homeless problem is not a homeless problem. It's a mental illness problems. It is a criminal problem. It is. People who need some assistant problem. It's not a homeless problem. All the money that is going To developers. And companies that make tense Let me give you an example. Mike Bonnet wants to clean up the homeless problem. He wants five million taxpayer dollars. To remove 200 homeless people from Venice. $5 million. For what? To give them affordable housing. I mean, I would love to talk. I mean, let's face it, Let's not be stupid. They live there and they go back to the street. They give a voucher then they go back on the streets. There are people who are profiteers on the streets. They want to be on the streets. I can't say it any clearer. You know? If I was the governor if I was the mayor Would go in there with maybe 1000 police officers and sanitation trucks. And mental health personnel and those streets would be cleaned by tomorrow. And I will simply say to you A C l U Go into me. I'll see you in court. In the meantime, the streets are going to be clean. Now, Alex villain, the wave. I'm not going to comment on him. Because he's just grandstand. He has no jurisdiction in Venice. I want you to understand that because he goes on TV and talk about what he's going to do in Venice. He has no jurisdiction zero in the story, but Mike Bonnet insults our intelligence by saying I'd rather have homeless people given homes instead of handcuffs. Got news for you, Mike Bonin. There are a lot of people were homeless that need to be thrown in jail. Because they're criminals. See you can't lump everyone in Venice. You cannot lump every homeless person as a homeless person. Within the homeless encampment. There are criminals. There are criminals. And they break the law. Okay, Those people should go to jail. Period. And while in jail, they want mental assistance. You got it. You just don't have the right to live on the street. I mean, I don't support that handcuffs or homes. Mike Barnet is creating.

Interview With Author, Sasha Issenberg

"Sasha is and joins us now. From santa monica california he is the author of several books including the sushi economy globalization and the making of a modern delicacy the victory lab the secret science of winning campaigns outpatients the astonishing new world of medical tourism and his new book the engagement america's quarter-century struggle over same sex marriage. Sasha thanks for being here thanks pamela. Let's start with something that probably not a lot of your readers will know but you know very well and i know which is that. This book was supposed to come out a full year ago. In june twenty twenty and it was one of those books that was delayed by the covid pandemic but maybe delayed the most. What was that like. It was tough so it got delayed three times in the last year. And i think some of that was in the spring. It was a marketing consideration that with bookstores closed and no live events. A lot of publishers held their books back and then it was supposed to come out last september. And by that point it was sort of a manufacturing problem as best i gathered. Publishers can actually get the books out of warehouses because people were sick. I learned the hard way that book publishing facilities are basically like meat. Packing plants with with wood pulp. So i had a lot set up last fall. And i had to put it all on hold and here i am must be a big relief if nothing else it is and you know. It was pretty cautious in writing this book of understanding that this was a topic where it was possible events in the news could affect it and tried to write it so that when it came out it would be current and i think there was some possibility that things can happen over the last year. That would change that dynamic and they really haven't in a significant way which is which is useful.

"We flew out to santa monica to visit. Ted danson and mary steenburgen. Their house is carved into the side of a hill. It's a craftsman style. Bungalow built in nineteen twenty two and it has what is called a living roof which is covered with greenery to fight off climate change. Ten mary decorated themselves is very relax and homey mostly. It was their warm connection to each other. That grabbed her attention from the start. This is fun. Yeah we've been so excited. We're really that you asked us. Well you came to mind immediately. Really people are always asking us. How did you. How are you married too long. And what i like in likes me. He's cute boys smells and that's a big deal so smell good. Ted likes to play the rascal but once we settled at their farm style kitchen table and began to talk. He was so honest and vulnerable rule of four of us here. I'm the only one who's only married once. Yes i'm the third. i'm being married. Well that maybe that's an interesting way to start because you're a wild optimist or you're total. Denial i mean. I got married and college carnegie Halfway through and i think it's fair to say the real communication would have been I'm afraid to go to new york by myself. Are you oh well. "Visual arts service. Group has been has long. But about three years ago. A handful of influential figures within the visual arts service group. "Start this week over here and most beautiful place. On god's green earth in downtown santa monica with the l. c. s. aright where the grass is green and. The pain is over fifty. We are starting with our week. Five results here starting at the top of the table. We've got an interesting rundown for you in terms of standings and by interesting i mean this should come as absolutely zero surprise to anyone who's been falling for any amount of time here this year in first place cloud nine at ten and two tied for second we have. Tsm and one hundred thieves at eight and four fourth place as a three way. Tie to round out your playoff teams evil geniuses dignatories and team liquid all remain in control of their destiny immortals to entire games behind in seventh place. Fly quest down there at four and eight and eighth and tied for ninth place. We've got seal g and golden guardians. Who that's for the in terms of standings. Let's talk cloud nine top of the table. In how did they do this week. Nine had a banger of a weekend. I'm really really satisfied with how this team performed this weekend. Everyone is looking fantastic right now. Honestly perks has some absolutely popoff. Plays on yasuo in the blank. This weekend He was looking awesome blabber. Just absolutely runs train on one hundred thieves on olaf. He's still looking amazing. I honestly don't understand how this guy still getting. Olaf when champion pool is more like an ocean. I guess you know. It's kind of hard to ban out. Everyone right yeah and then you know they also had just a pretty good win vs golden guardians. This was a really really good week for c. Nine they displayed a a show of dominance that i think is important for them to show versus lower tier teams and upper tier teams like hundred thieves the takeaway from this weekend see nine looking fantastic. I'm happy with this team. And my favorite thing about this team this season so far is they have displayed the ability to play like everything they can play. All sorts of different team calms they can play all sorts of different styles and be super successful on it so lots to love from. Cnn radio man. I wonder what it's like to be a fan of a team. That's like the best in the region. Can you feel so good what it feels like to be yankees fan fan now recently. Hey man at least. I always tell myself no matter how bad things get. At least i'm not. Cgi got even fan. Just seal g actually entire org. at least you're as an entity the idea mostly. Yeah yeah oh yeah. I was just gonna say overall c nine great weekend moving on. Yeah and i think a key point here is they did go up against one. Hundred thieves created separation against a team. That's currently tied for second. They did in just such an incredible manner. It was like every single lane. One like blabber just played out of his mind perks actually styled on monday on the blank it was just such an awesome game. In addition to that there was actually a little not really an interview but ls during. I think it was a co starring. He was doing as well. Fudge seanang fudge came on just chatted back and forth with him a little bit and revealed that perks. Basically said yeah. It's just demonte. I could totally take leblanc into him and fucking popped off. I think he got a level. Three solo kill level three or level. Four to play a little vision. Game with perks had award kinda thwarted the whole thing and it cost him onto his life. Basically and the game like there's no way or less. Yeah that snowballed everything out of control so his brutal really really. Well played for nine showing that even if they were close in the standings. This matchup is just so nine favored. There's also been a lot of chatter specifically from people who are in the know that one hundred thieves has a major mental block against the nine. They absolutely hate playing against him. So little fun. Little tidbits for y'all there. All right seni- jumping down to. Let's talk about the two teams tied aid right now for second place. Tsm and hundred thieves. We'll start with the less fun. One which is of course hundred thieves. Who has kinda struggled a little bit throughout the course of this entire split. Not looking nearly as strong as i think we all would of hoped. Jack's talked me about their weekend. All right so other than the cloud nine game that we just touched on mcleod nine blew them out of the water. Hundred thieves mostly had a good weekend. They beat seattle g. They had a close call but they then recovered from their close call. Took control of the game back from seattle jian won the game Close calls is more of like they. Lucked out into a wake-up hopefully they don't make same kind of mistakes of leading finn. Just do ridiculous nar things when his team's losing miserably they literally flipped a to k gold lead into four k gold back. Yeah and flip within like eight minutes. Yeah it was stupid. That's nuts g. You can hear this hill shawn's voice because the game had it but from the perspective of hundred thieves like other than the one mistake that was such a huge swing the game. Well they played really well against dignatories capping the shit out of fate god and the rest of the team playing fine or or well depending on the player like demonte didn't have a great day in general. Don't they didn't have a great weekend in general. Let's be honest but then yeah the cloud nine game like to cut blown out in twenty four minutes. It was brutal you mentioned it was monte attempts to do a bush play like bait something to get away and that was the only thing like someday played without respect for fudge it all and got punished repeatedly for it like it was rough. It was really rough.

Metro is considering congestion pricing on these Los Angeles freeways

"Of congestion pricing, Metro's Joshua Schank says congestion pricing would charge people for driving on certain roads to ease traffic and move people around faster. What we've seen Around the world is that when congestion pricing has been implemented when it's been tried, it is not only proven effective, but it is proving popular on it. It stayed in place. Metro staff will be presenting four different plans for the test to the Transportation agencies board this month, and the board will likely settle on a site by this summer. The possible sites include the roads crossing the Santa Monica Mountains, the freeways and roads in downtown L. A and the 10 Freeway west of downtown. "This is maureen from quarantine coming at. You live from beautiful. Santa monica california. Oh my goodness. I gotta take some pictures of this. There's the coolest little trees. Oh birdie birdie came to say hi and these beautiful trees. I'm walking actually right through like a little. It's an arch with all my. There's a be in the middle of the archway anyways. Still beautiful For me and then there might be as my daughter said as a baby leaves. Let them be so looking down at some of the with nature to we have to be respectful of whatever it is before we go tracing through any who is just beautiful here overlooking the ocean It's the santa monica promenade. And i'm going to take a picture of these beautiful. This archway here right now and as well as the It almost looks like a large large cactus. Right here along the promenade. And but i'm not going to try what i just tried with the perhaps Three essence and the little. Bumblebees and so we respect nature. And and all the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees and lots of greenery different shades of green right here and just beautiful trees many many many shades of green and and many types. Lots of palms and just glorious all shapes and sizes and then of course as we walk. I see the like the tiki man here in santa monica and it's the yeah like a totem tiki man. And this represents good luck and it's also protection from harm and so it's kind of a cool thing to get get with the polynesian essence in the hawaiian essence and all of that nature and The empowering sometimes symbolism like the tiki man here and so wouldn tiki man. What i do is so for. I've been coming here for years. And then i have my my running shoes onto so it's something i like to do here in santa monica i run and then walk and then running then walk and easy does it. And then you circle around like a three sixty around the totem around the tiki man and that's brings good luck and so it's it's also a kind of a cool thing to i've been coming here for years to You know meditate and just be around again nature and good good fives overlooking the ocean. And i stole my daughter here as a tiny little baby. She had her very first birthday party Right on the beach here overlooking at a cute little restaurant That i overlook right now so all good energy and even looking at the tiki told him here and going to that place infuse our psyche. Our our minds our bodies and souls and spirits with this life force and this these Just great overall energy and so these thoughts can be empowering to embrace the sunshine today. Sort of kind of beautiful Rainy day late late rains here. And at the same time The sense coming out now so we always look for the rainbows and it came to me. This morning The songs cool song called. Don't go chasing waterfalls. And of course that's exactly what i'm doing chasing waterfalls and the best way because i i'm headed to another place that's kind of a cool place i'll bring you the pop up podcast It'll be a cool surprise. Pop up podcast. Not too far from here but where there's waterfalls and so we looked to nature and embrace all of the symbolism again right here with the tiki on the totem. And i love the hawaiian polynesian essence. If you will and with keeping evil spirits away or darkness and staying in the light and shining the light and now i hold my arms out to in the wrong house of With our arms out towards the horizon and then embracing the trees and nature very calming very peaceful. And so this is in keeping in line with our Self care series. I wanted to send out the self care in terms of Not necessarily chasing rainbows and waterfalls but to allow kidding you out to to look for the rainbows if you will and the the the pod at the end of the gold at the end of the rainbow and the leprechauns irish of course so we do but also even again to embrace other cultures. And like i said. I was Touched the totem. As i go around and and You can read the tournament and just put out good energy as you do that. And that's great for our self care to give ourselves this Walk through the common nod. If you will and out in nature wherever we're guided and to just cherish that and to be in the moment into your hands literally to the energy and i love the it calls to mind when i come here to just the great and achieve the great hawaiian poem Which i mentioned in a podcast. But it's always good to bring it back again. And i brought to mind again forgiveness in the previous podcast and i incorporated that into the breath not breath work debris play so we can even do more breath. Play here at the totem again. I do the running. And then i Do a little walking. And i stopped and smell the flowers to stop and look at the tree and the tournament. Just send out good energy on his global scale here in quarantine and always so the hawaiian prayer. I call to mine here. is Be it's it is.

"Feces draws flies, and I think that's the point of you guys see? So if it was a rational set of leaders in Santa Monica, clearly they're not You ever Santa Monica let the businesses get destroyed during the riots last spring, right? They didn't. They didn't do anything to stop when Four Street businesses were getting all busted up. So now they're letting the homeless living the elevators like it's their apartment, and they're refusing to drag these people out and off the staircases in the hallways. And of course, the response from everybody involved in this is probably why he sued is basically not much I can do. It starts with something called the downtown Santa Monica Inc. D S. M, an Organization of axis of business district's advocate. I don't know what they're paid for this. They gotta CEO named Kathleen Rawson, who said, Well, you see our ambassadors in their bright teal T shirts. They act as the eyes and ears of downtown and for the police were constantly interfacing the businesses to help address issues related homelessness by the way. Any official who uses the word interface. You know there, it idiot. It's on Lee. Yeah, that that that's that's still be target. There's only one thing you do when there's a guy living in our parking garage elevator, a public parking garage elevator and they've defecated in the elevator. Is you a rest your arrest them. You arrest them for public defecation in a elevator that the public the taxpayers have paid for that slinky. That's the public elevator. That's not their private toilet. So here's the odd twist in the story after speaking to several members of Santa Monica Police departments homeless outreach unit Great they're doing a good job. He was out taking pictures. One day, John Ellie said They told him there are too many restrictions on how they interact with the homeless and they can only react if all of the elevators and dumps the rooms are locked at night. I don't know why that is, but they don't lock up at night because there's still people may need to use him, including the disabled so they can't lock them at night. That's the response. No. There is no such rule that says you can allow people to live in elevators and bring all their garbage and all their defecation and all their needles. There's no such thing. That See that's the thing this is This is what makes me crazy about the media. What with newspaper? Is this? The Santa Monica Daily Post and them written by Brennan Dixon. Well, your journalist of the year Brandon Dixon. Really, What is the law that says Ah City can't eject people who are fouling an elevator with their own feces. Response also was The jails are full. We can't put him in there because of covert 19 and the shelters their fault. They can't go there either. Well, they don't stay in the elevator when people have to use them to go to go to the stores, But it's winter and it's cold. They're looking for a warm place. It's that was another response. That's garbage. That's a health hazard. It Z a danger to people if you are, If you're a young woman you want you're gonna walk in to an elevator with a crazy guy. Who has who has up a shopping cart filled with junk it he stole and he's got needles sticking out of his arms to see this is the thing All they do is they give you these weird bureaucratic excuses? There are full of garbage. All right. These people are crazy. There's crazy is the homeless people who are who are living in the elevators. Except they're bureaucrats, and they're making six figure salaries, sucking that tax money. They're crazy people. No. No society in the history of the world allowed this sort of thing before no society. The answer is always the same. Open up the institutions. We need to open up. What shames the laws get these people taken away and get them the help they need, whether it's drug, alcohol or mental illness or all three. It zit. The only way this is going to go. I'm not going to read any more stories on all. I think the only times had another one with the bite administration. There's hope for the homeless. I get at it. There's no hope for the homeless because you don't want to send them to the to the therapy that they need. Treatment that they need they need. They need drug alcohol treatment. They need mental health treatment. Severe mental health treatment That would last for months, maybe years. You don't want to do that. So you're letting him crap all over the ground. And and throw their needles around and that crazy and hurt people. You people are insane. You people are wrong. It's immoral. What you're doing to the taxpayers. It's a moral what you're doing to the homeless people. You're dreadful human beings. I think you're making six figures off this mess. Don't forget what I have, like an infectious disease expert coming out after four o'clock. Dr. Monica Gandhi about how banning outdoor dining may have made things worse. In California, right? Outdoor dining was banned. Like crapping in a public elevators, not Oh, and that's what good thing you brought that up. Because in this article, Gianelli says that he goes. You're making us wear mask. If all these mandates with the covert 19, you can't take care of this problem. How do you know the homeless guy? This Vancouver dying? How is this not a health hazard What infectious diseases during his feces. The hell is wrong with the people who run Santa Monica. What is wrong with them? Where did they get that They have another virus must have infected their brains. Hey, John and Kate can find Deborah Marquez did officials say there are.
