Just wanna thank one francisco sunday while per being on the show and for producer. Oscar fernandes for booking. This interview haven't done an interview in spanish in a while. And while so if you listen to you in in spanish and have any questions i mean i can give you sort of the top line. Basically sundell vile was the former head of guatemala special prosecutor's office against impunity which is called facie kind of messy which is the acronym in spanish. And he's been recently fired and this is according to reports for the for example. I'm reading a report from the associated. Press said he was fired because of his investigations into top officials in the administration of president. One hundred ojt and he has said that he's fled for his own safety. Becoming the fifth law enforcement official in three years to do so we did ask some the while about him out. they also who's facing actually calls for his resignation. And i did ask the question about you. Know if you've been following. Us politics asking the question about kamala harris or vice president meeting with him at they when this all talk of corruption kind of How do we say it. It's kind of don't look here. We're not corrupt when in fact According to sun the bottle he kind of found real evidence or very strong indications corruptions been happening not only in the at they administration but also the previous president. Jimmy morales who You know and. I'm quoting an article. From jacob magazine who had closed ranks behind on the law along with the sectors of the military and economic lead when morales acted against the international commission against impunity in guatemala which was an initiative and then machado was involved basically also much spanish. She does for his life. He's considered an enemy of the current president of guatemala. And he said that he'd probably he can't go back to his home country until this gets all settled because there are impending charges against him. The current appointee of the fetchy failed. Gucci is actually someone who is going after guatemala's political opposition and actually protecting the elite in this according to democracy. Now so the other thing you need to know about all this is that he is actually a conservative president and there's also called for his resignation as well as guatemala's attorney general. We decided to run this interview in spanish because it was important that son of all gets heard and if you understood spanish and you hear what he said there's a lot he said there and the situation. Guatemala is pretty bad and you wanna talk about root causes. Well you know also mentioned that. The united states in some of his answers the united states has been a little bit complicit in all this as well so kind of a different. Take on latino rebels radio this week. Big thanks to oscar fernandez for getting this. Get making this interview. Get we'll be back with more. Just wanna think oscar again for making this happen if you like what you heard rate review us share this. I hope you learned a little spanish if you didn't. You're not a spanish speaker but you know. "Navalny, a dismantling their regional offices ahead of a court hearing is expected to declare the centers on their staff as extremist prosecutors want them closed down, claiming they're plotting revolution. Alexei Navalny: Poisoned Putin critic Navalny to be kept in custody

"Kelly. Alex Sandoval, Knee. Russia's most prominent political opposition leader, is back in Russia last August. You may recall he was poisoned with a lethal nerve agent. Of only was airlifted to Germany for treatment. He nearly died, but he vowed to get better. And when he did to return to Russia yesterday, he made good on that promise and was immediately arrested for violating the terms of an earlier suspended prison sentence. Was quickly tried in front of a judge inside a room at a police station outside Moscow. Will world leaders are condemning Navalny's detention. They're calling for his release from or on how the events of these past couple days have played globally. We're joined by Ambassador Michael McFaul. He served as U. S ambassador to Russia during the Obama administration ambassador. Welcome back Makes driving. So I was struck by current Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeting that he is deeply troubled by Navalny's arrest and by incoming national security advisor Jake Sullivan tweeting that the attack on the volley is outrageous and calling for his immediate release. Making this that rarest of things. I think agreement between the outgoing and incoming administrations. What might this tell us about how this could backfire against Putin possibly isolate him further on the world stage? Well, I noticed those two tweets, too. I also noticed two dozen tweets from Secretary Pompeo about China on just one about Navalny on guy was glad to see that Jake Sullivan did speak out. He's found his voice on Twitter already. As the new national Security advisor. I think there's a lot of consensus about what is happening internally inside Russia in the United States between Democrats, Republicans and our allies in Europe on I think it's right to speak out about it. Remember, President Trump? Never did he's got he's got one day left. So maybe we're gonna hear something tomorrow but not on Twitter look like but not on Twitter, but not a single word ever about By human rights violations in Russia. So that's the good news. The harder news is, what do you do about it? That you can affect things inside? I'm optimistic that the new team is thinking very hard about that issue. Not just statements but actions. But you know, it's hard. It is hard to bring about domestic change in other countries. Why do you think Navalny went back? He knew he would be arrested right away. I know Alex involving he had no choice. In his view his job. His mission in life is to end what he considers a criminal regime in Russia. They tried to kill him is you just reported hey, then called up one of the killers by the way, and got them to confess that they did. He went to get treatment, but he was not going to elect Putin chase him out of his own country. Remember, Mr Navalny is a very patriotic man, and he was not going to allow them to do that. He had to go back on, you know, to fight this regime. The Kremlin has denied poisoning Navalny, I I know from having interviewed you and past that you do not buy that. I do wonder now that the attention of the world is on navalny. Does that protect him in any way? Does it make it harder for those holding him? To mistreat him and think maybe nobody will notice. It does when the world watches it helps people like Navalny and other countries around the world. I think there's no doubt about that. Um, it also means that it raises the stakes for other countries to do something about it right. I mean Putin's playing a game of chicken right now, with the new Biden administration. In many ways they were walking in Their first major foreign policy crisis, and he's waiting to see Do they just put in a few sanctions and then move on to other things? Or do they do something radically different? It will be fascinating to watch and, of course, Russia. I'll just note briefly, as has in past brushed off criticism, says Western leaders. They're just trying to distract from their own domestic was do they have in a few seconds? Ambassador Do they have something of a point there? No, We gotta get our democracy in order at home, but we could walk into his gum at the same time. Two wrongs do not make a right. Michael McFaul. He is former U. S ambassador to Russia and author of From Cold War, Too Hot Peace, Ambassador McFaul. Good to Speak with You. Thanks

Drive in tough shot, Missed everything but good defense that you talked about. Thorpe did right there walled him off and unable to get a good look at it. Bradley coming back down the other way. Lately, they go down to Quantico 20 on the baseline. Thorpe, cutting through errant pass by 2020 intercepted by the Eagles will bring it back and try to toss it up ahead. He gets it back up to Chapman, guarded by Bradley. Shevin checking out a bit still working on the bounce and of all going to sit up and hoist a three off the rim Bentley with the rebounds. Sand of all is a big dude. He's 6 ft seven. And he is massive. I mean, he is a wide body Foreman drives in kicks it over. The Trump vote is rising among Blacks and Hispanics, despite the conventional wisdom

"That President Trump did better than some people expected with black and Latino voters. We say it appears because votes were still being counted. The election results looked very different on Tuesday night than they do right now, and they may look different again, but we can say The president made a bid for black and Latino voters, and some responded, including in the very closely fought state of Nevada. NPR's Leila Fadel reports This year was the first time 29 year old Amanda Sandoval voted. I woke up early. I arranged for my mom to take my kids to school, and I got there half an hour early, and I waited in line and I voted, and it was a huge moment in my life because this election is so important, it's more important than any other election. In history because it's going to dictate so much of our future. She's a trump supporter. So is her husband, and neither of them voted in 2016. But this year, the self described conservative Mexican Americans chose the president because of their anti abortion stance as devout Christians as well as trump supporter of school choice and promises of a better economy. Part of what may be a record turnout in Nevada. And in this purple State. Latino voters have been the backbone to every single democratic presidential win here. Black and Asian voters are also key. And while Biden will win black and Latino voters by landslides across the country, which could deliver him the election and Nevada Trump appears to be getting more not less support in black and Latino communities. Both campaigns have heavily invested in courting communities of color and Latino communities, in particular in Nevada. Musil Harvey is a fellow at Columbia University's sociology department. It's a glaring indictment of the Democratic Party than in the midst of Ah recession and the major pandemic that a lot of minority voters. I did not believe that their lives would necessarily be better off under Joe Biden that Donald Trump Despite the outsized economic devastation, death illness is in the midst of this pandemic for Latino and black communities. There's hardly a better indication of Democrats. Inability to speak toe ordinary people about things. They care about this that in midst of the milieu we find ourselves in they still lost minority voters, Garvey says. Minority voters need to be treated as individuals. They are some conservative, some more liberal, some who want limits on immigration. People are less concerned at the end of the day when they're casting their ballots. Whether or not a politician likes them or with it or gets it or if they're woke or not, versus this person going to make my life my life going to be better or worse in the next sort of four years. We really are not a monolithic group that Sander Dixon she heads empower 3 60. It engages and mobilizes black voters in Nevada. She's hoping for a record turnout. She's a Democrat that runs a nonpartisan nonprofit and believes Nevada will go to Biden because of black and Latino voters. But she says she's a little disappointed that her party hasn't fully figured out how to really engage black voters on issues beyond identity. And so because of that, you can get all of the turn out that you want, but you're seeing the results. Of not putting in the work to engage them when it's off cycle to inform them and educate them about issues to make sure that you're actually connecting to the pain that they're having at the time and you're able to turn that into Democratic results, she says. Voters she engaged said racial justice was important because it's been a fight every generation battles a given, but most important to the voters, she spoke to you on Election Day. We're healthcare education jobs, So the political parties need to engage voters early and often on the issues that matter to them. On Wednesday, she was waiting for election results and paying poll workers in Candice's. You're so welcome. Thank you so much for everything. Among them was Dante Walker. Thie 21 year old almost didn't vote. He jokes that he was like the people he end up trying to convince to cast their ballots. Like I don't think I will have a voice or my wish would be heard if I did vote or it mattered if I voted, so that's one. He describes himself as very churchy his work to engage voters the Lord's work. I came to my decision because I passed in my church, she said. Whoever spoke unity at the election is the one who's supposed to vote for Bytom was the first person who was said immunity, so he chose Biden, his cousin, just six months older shows trump his family, not a monolith and political parties need to understand that because even if Democrats take the overwhelming majority of black and Latino voters, thes elections come down to a few 1000 votes in places like Nevada. "Today Dave talking about the legend of all a hundred kirk man that was fun to watch last night. Our. Listeners if you haven't seen the highlights pause this podcast call up the Blue Jays highlights from last night in to see something like you've never seen before it's. If, you can imagine a shorter maybe larger Pablo Sandoval plan catcher and going four for four and hitting home runs. I mean unbelievable. He's listed five eight to sixty five physically reminds me we you know you're trying to come up with the copper there were Sandoval Mike. was maybe being older Benjie Molina not young. But Older Benjie Molina and you could see the way runs. He's not ever going to be the Swiss guy. But part of the reason why I mean forget the you know the size and the shape. See Guy he's a right handed hitter. You do not see hitters in two, thousand, twenty hit the ball to right field away. He does that was I think. It's were to right field right including the home. Look. It's a he's a remarkable story for starters what he's only twenty one yet. Yes. Played above class say he can hit the bat looks legit. He walked more than he struck out in the minors last year and yeah, the Blue Jays have gotten dope production from their catchers this year. So can he play in the play offs I dunno buster yes. I mean you know who knows when we actually get there but you know when we reach this time of year teams, they don't really care what's in the back your baseball card they they don't really care when you were drafted or you know how much money they paid you. They only WANNA know if you're getting results, this is someone signed in two thousand sixteen out of Tijuana Mexico. "Know the way we had these young players when they were just becoming really meant. I mean, we got to see them. Our lives and who they grew into and how they were raised and how they wanted to be. I wanted to be and games yet, you know, of course, the world serious. Can't you have some huge hit for this organization? I had a couple bumps in the road, You know, physical conditioning and discipline off the field. But that's also part of the package of Pablo that you come to understand. And, uh he had. I'm not sure if he's finished probably is, I don't know. I don't know how the whole game's working right now, with 60 game scheduled It's given some people life because they don't have to play as much. Uh, but not many people played 10 years in the big leagues. I remember a couple years ago. I think there was 5 600 people in baseball they only like 3% 4% had 10 years in the major leagues. It's not easy thing to do. And I know when people were even gold. Why is Buster you know blowing up my grade He's played Shut the hell but these guys have played a nice chunk of career. Uh Pablo has held on. He's made some adjustments went through some frustrations. But the one thing that never left him was his Passion for life and for the game. Tim Flannery's Jonas Pablo Sandoval was deified by the Giants today. What was it like in the 2012 world, Siri's and yet Verlander on the mound, and he hits the first two. Then he hits a third off Al Albuquerque. But not only was it obviously a great game that set the tone for the entire Siri's, but I thought that the two home runs off Verlander. Just kind of took some of the sheen off of him that he's not this unbeatable force that he was that year. But what was it like to be in the dugout when Pablo did that in 2012? Well, I was out of the dugout. I was over there. She won the ball on the ball left back. You know, the first time you go is got a chance. You got a chance, And then it goes and You know you're going holy mackerel. Wow, you know, And then he does it again and then the third time out with jerky it just like it was a moment in history that I'll never forget. When you think about the game. I've seen a lot of baseball game's over my lifetime. That one will always stick out on that those teams. I mean, I still walk around, you know, even if I'm in the middle of the mountains or something, I just sometimes. Well, just think about it a little bit of shake my head and say. I can't even believe that really happened because I don't know how it'll ever happen again. If somebody wins three World Series in five years the way the game's changed, it was a great moment. In baseball and that my eight years of Sabra Cisco We're the greatest times of my life changed who I am as a person and I will never be able to thank everybody up there put out especially the guy that you're working with. He was my teacher on television. He was my confidante. He was a guy that I cared about it. With all the stuff the great Papa has going on in his life, and he has a moment to care for somebody like me. I'll never ever forget it. I can't thank y'all enough for that. Right back at you. Because you're you think you taught us all how to love harder and that's what you're all about Your fears competitors, but You understand the humanity of the game. Pablo was a special guy, but a few weeks ago flan They also did the same thing and the Giants have released Pablo they they didn't just fail because they want to get Justin smoke on the roster. They also released him. 100 fence had the same on come to him a little while ago. Personality different. There's a joy about them a little bit of a language barrier with Pablo. I know how much you love Pablo. But I know how much you love 100 Pence and what he meant to those teams in particular when you were the cock a Roaches and wouldn't get crushed and 2012. So just give us a thought about 100. Pence is well planned. Well, he did so much, And there's the most probably the most unselfish player that I've ever been around, because even when a brought us out of the fire there in Cincinnati with his In the moment speech. Ah, a lot of times. Guys believe when they're hitting well or playing well and then they go. Oh, OK, now it's my time to leave other didn't have one hit. During that time, and I remember him going through a stretch where he was like Oh, for 40. The last year I was coaching But His attitude is so infectious and really a way to be successful in life is to start every day. Brand new come in fresh come in not carrying baggage, and that's not easy to do in baseball or life. But that's what those guys do. They could come in. Um, regardless if they were playing well or Or not, They always added something. They were always bringing positivity and energy of 162 game schedule, and you gotta have energy and you can't change anything without energy. You can't discontinue toe. Just show up and do your thing. Unless you've got that those guys were in our endless endless energy and 100 pits definitely falls into One of the one of my all time favorite guys I've ever been around..

Can black journalists cover the Black Lives Matter movement objectively?

"Is a partisan for the press to say black lives matter news rooms across the country are debating the role that journalists should be playing and particularly when it comes to talking about race in America the twenty sixteen conversation with NPR's code switch then Washington post reporter Wesley Lowery had this to say about the idea of objectivity I don't like the word when we talk about how to be objective we begin the conversation with a lot like we did begin the conversation with the lie that we don't have biases and that we don't receive the welterweights right I strive to be fair and that means I have to interrogate my own biases that fairness means I have to go out of my way to make sure I'm giving a fair critique hearing the people who I know I disagree with journalists at The New York Times revolted over an op ed which many said threatened black lives that same week the Pittsburgh post Gazette barred some of its black reporters from covering the protests over fears that they'd be quote too biased and on the other hand just yesterday the news organization Axios announced that its reporters can participate in protests and that the company fund would cover bail for any employee who is arrested some news rooms across the country appear to be changing fast what could that mean for journalism as a possible to be fair and transparent without being objective I'll tell you this is a conversation that the one eighteen is having a lot and we should note that we reached out to NPR whose standards and guidelines we have bye bye but they declined to take part in the program joining us is Ricardo Sandoval Palos public editor for PBS Ricardo welcome to when I thank you thank you for having me also here is Nicole Hannah Jones reporter for The New York Times magazine covering racial injustice the call welcome back thank you the call start with you in the past couple of weeks past two weeks we've seen several incidents involving newsrooms scrutinizing journalists of color over their inability to be objective here's that word again talk to us about some of those incidents well we saying really three major incidents and and who knows how many others where journalists haven't spoken out about them but we have the case in Pittsburgh and that was where of course to black journalists wonderful one photo journalists want to print journalists were taken off of the beat to be able to cover the protests of the black journalist had posted on social media images of trash everywhere of garbage everywhere and said oh look at you know these looters and then said actually it's it's a Kenny Chesney the end of a Kenny Chesney tail gate and I guess her bosses thought that that was inappropriate to pull her off of the coverage we still have no explanation about why the photo journalist who is also a a black journalists was pulled off of the coverage and then go ahead of well tell me about what happened at your paper the senator Tom cotton's op ed sure so we ran online and op ed written by Tom cotton that was basically calling out for the U. S. military to be imposed on cities and states where the governors did not want that help in order to put down a protest that they felt were violent there was a huge pushback amongst journalists at The New York Times a book of more than a thousand journalists signed a letter put forth by our our our union I'm saying we oppose that in a lot of journalists went and spoke online about it and it was for it was for two reasons one this this editorial did not go through the proper normal fact checking process that any thing that appears in the time should go through but we also felt you we were getting kind of free space to a sitting U. S. senator to suppress their free speech rights of Americans and that that platform should not be given over in that way yeah that this would have been a news story and as a new story it would have been fine but not to allow to be a newspaper and allow someone to talk about using the military to repress free speech I was too far for many of us a lot of journalists were upset about that I remember waking up that morning looking at Twitter and just seeing the operate also the opinion editor James Bennet he resigned on Sunday how significant is that part local I'm you know it's complicated I I've worked with James Bennett and I certainly don't want to speak on kind of internal personnel matters but do you think that was necessary in resigning I I think he made the decision that he felt he needed to make we certainly we as journalists at The New York Times wanted this to be taken seriously yeah and it appears that it

It's perfect because even for the shipping being shipping the weird thing is I think it goes by regions since you in the middle of the US. You're shipping almost not going to be as expensive like if you're in Florida shipping Washington Iraq so that's really good. other thing about. Wichita is yeah. People complain that it's a very traditional city then you know we've had the same stuff for so long but one thing I do tell a thing to people is Wichita. The people are so nice in the culture. If you can make the if your business just a little bit different from the traditional in somehow you can levy big into that teach people were not so crazy different. You're going to be fine. People are GonNa come to you and I think that's a big advantage for Wichita right home and they say it's a big city with the city with an a small scout right right yeah so so I personally I think it has a lot of advantages Mr were there any challenges as a minority kind of as minority founder or anything like that yeah I get this question a lot and you know myself yeah in first generation. I was raised in a small town and stuff but dummy I think honestly it has been a bigger blessing there. don't get me wrong. I am. I'm a minority. I'm a male so I don't want to take credit away from if you're a female because they had to go through more bigger challenges. Probably I do but for me. It's definitely been a great because an advantage because I speak the two languages I can go inside a Mexican the store the owner I could step back and talk to the CEO of a natural food store and then so that I think has been a huge advantages in I think with me also being raised in a small town. I got to experience. It's the most of the two cultures I mean my mom we would make Turkey and stuff for Thanksgiving and then we would have Mexican tacos at the time so to remain. I don't say too much of a challenge. It's definitely been a blessing yeah. I'm very thankful for in so far. I think I do appreciate for what is has brought to me. Yeah and I don't know who else would be kind of in the position to make Pinola blue from that area like you've had it your whole life. I mean I've never added even have the idea to start it. Yeah Yeah you know maybe something with immigrants but you know at the same time a lot OUGHTA. These running products could develop something. They don't know anything about it but they know it works though so that could have been advantage for them but for me. I think it's been that and I'm not a runner so I had been getting into renting. We don't even have across country teams. I ran track and now I'm getting into running and I've had to learn about runners and how things are different so so yeah I mean there's been other disadvantages but number for being a minority no. I think I've I've been very blessed. Let's actually the opportunities payment. That's awesome. Is there any competition. Does anybody else's open away. I know you said it's Kinda hard to find grown up and everything but is there anybody else you know. There is a couple of companies. If you look up on Amazon couple cheap yellow whitehorn stuff there's the two ones that I really consider competition well. Maybe three is one out of Arizona. Call Moscow him up only go home but there's white corn comes in tubs different and then we have another one called purely Pinola MHM. They're probably the biggest one but there there is more like a hot porridge east bowls too. I think it comes back to and it's just super thick. It's just different and I think the guys from Central America's so it's a little different yeah and his has made with Purple Corn Interesting Yeah and then he has some with like fruit and stuff in his he's got it but I think he's going to different route now with like granola bars and stuff and then there's another one that was a What do they call it kick starter but they're out of the UK and Oh did research on them? you might think they're really damn similar to us was that before or after after after me that's the worst part because I think they're trying to make it with the blue corn and I don't know there is a lot of money on kickstarter but goodness you look at their packaging everything they're even making enduro bites looking mine and but there in the UK market I don't even I don't even know where they've gone but their packaging everything looked awesome incredible yeah but they're from the UK and they're playing like have roots back to the tomatoes and stuff and I don't know it just seems a little different to me Kudos to them right like I mean there will be competition some day and I think competition will help us. I mean hopefully someday. There's enough room for all of us. In the rising rising tide raises all ships and that's how it goes right yeah. We've got wichita behind you so yeah thank you catch the US yeah. Let's see here. How did your not at Wichita state help kind of propel NOLAAC. There's definitely the new venture competition like Steffi Learner networking. How did that help you yeah there. You know we had a whole article Michael With Wichita State that came out and they did a thing that that's what they elaborated. You know goodness. I'm very thankful with my time. Wichita State is study finance but tame with what I learned. It helped me a lot with where I'm at today. I would say knowing the knowledge you know teach the basics. I only had one marketing class book goodness. I'm thankful because they learn a lot of stuff from it. but you know outed connections was just huge night. at my business partner both business partners the previous one in the one. I have now I've got to meet my professor Xu Salon. She's the one that even gave me the the inspired me to do like without. WC without entities listed and the venture new competition yeah financial stability was great but you know if I ever need something I reach out to them and they have connections on and so I was the networking and the connections was the biggest one for me for Wichita state yeah definitely so the name Pinola Blue I love the name but it is very simple. How many names you we were stuck on like three Pinola Blue Pinola soul and just Blue Pinola. We wanted to stick to Benalla because one tell you what it was and not get too crazy well way it would be able to elaborate with the Hispanic market the American market so that was really hard what we're doing and then we stuck with blue because blue corn rebound duck out perfect so we're really close. Pinola Sel but cowed and people like the flows in. That's what that's what we picked nice so I know it's not cheap to start something like this sir any start up a business so you had a little bit of funding from the competition yeah. Did you OUGHTA connections with investors from that or how did that process of did you go get investors or was it family. How do you refund you know for over a year. We bootstrapped. It raised a single penny awesome. I don't even know how the heck did. We know marketing budget budget. We were just working these crazy hours. I was driving around going these expos I would put the Dang the expo fee on a credit card out. Go the expo night. Just pray that we would have enough money to pay for it and that's how we did it for the longest talk we had a small little facility down in Hazel with Bash Brothers Barbecue mccue Sarah Jane Salsas with them to at that time she's she has her own place now and then. I have my own place and I'm very thankful for them. They taught me a lot about the food processing and everything so you have just the long hours but we finally grew and we start we need a little more money and I found investor and he gave me alone first and then we got the idea with the Tortilla division and that's where to look for bigger money in this where investor came in he's not from Wichita someone I personally knew growing up hookah and he's definitely helped me tremendously and that's what helped with all the machinery back there. How difficult was it even figuring out what machinery scenery Costa added a Lotta Research. Out On my dad does road construction Agron. I helped him a lot so I'm pretty pretty good with the hands on stuff in I did do some research had trump solid a couple of other tortilla places in town and these machines came out at a Houston and that's the worst part. Is that not We're one of the only tortillas making at stone ground. All these tortillas are made for that dry mix. That is very smooth. Excuse me when you add water to yeah runs perfectly and here we are grinding the corn trying to get it as smooth gene things. It's the same thing you're an engineer writing. How this we had a belt pop in wires ars for a couple months to we got it dialed down on the recipe and corn is a very interesting product because everything affects it. He the lot of variables levels the dust everything so we have really done in the down in so so that's where I did my research and kind of what we're doing..

I mean well, it's not tonight because I'm the only girl working tonight. In other words, it was in. It's inconsistent though. I wasn't in charge of it. Exactly. So someone needs to be in charge, but nobody was in charge. Bring back girls. And I think. Yeah. I can perform a new songs on the bar everyone loves when I do. Good as gold. Yeah. Let me see you wanna see shake. Oh, yes. All the time. That's what I like. All right. So you were showing us the project that you're working on at lunch. Are you able to talk about that yet or not? I'm not going to be saying, I didn't think so. But are there any new projects that you talk about I can about that one? I'll just say this. We started the company about nine months ago, and it's blown up. Can't talk about thing. I don't I'm not a Brigadier guy. I don't I don't really like you know, so you won't ever hear me talk about, like Oma look at me. You know what I mean? I'm just not like that. But I have I have that company coming out. What was it trailer? He just posted on Instagram. That was the rival desk. It was legit. And am I crazy? Did it used to be called the raven? And now it's called the rival, it's always been called the Ryan. Ryan destiny. And so the in we've been working on that for four years. Yeah, I got Tom Sandoval on the in the movie was his part. Part was pretty cool, but it was an epic project. It was call it the avatar short films. It was an it was, it was high height content. You know, there was a lot of CGI involved in that movie. And it took four years just to get it done. You know, to find the right artists to find the right three D model to find the right guys to put the whole thing together. Anything, the whole thing is one thing shooting editing it, and it took, like four days to finish, finish, shooting, and editing easy. Putting all the pieces, the background the three D modeling. I have a new respect for, for for, for that type of movie now. Commented on those do this is legit. It was like a Star Wars trailers. I'm taking Star Wars with this movie thing made this trilogy. Now it looked really good. So, like we just want a couple of awards at a at a film festival in New Jersey, and I submitted to Chicago international, we're gonna see if we got that getting that one Academy Award qualifying. And then we're also looking at silicon silicon beach over here in marina, del Ray. So that's and then and then I have my other apps that are, you know, have seen scouts and the other one that I got coming out of gaming apps. You know, cool one thing I will say is. Actually, I can't talk about it yet. I'm so excited. Let's talk about your hair. Okay. All right. What you've had a lot of hairstyles. The second ascent of all. Cleancut you kind of back to, like almost Peter the pirate but knocking straightening, I'm personally not a fan of. I think you're better looking than the straight hair. Do you actually straighten it? Yes. Sure. Okay. Sure. Of it that he her. We will I straighten some of it. And then, like I have Jesse straightness sometimes. Missile onto strain is. Blowouts? I don't even get regular this morning. No. But here's the thing. And this is I look back on. I look back on some stuff from my past, and I'm like, then I don't like the way my hair walked. You know what I mean? Yeah. So I'm like, well you know what what is one of those times? Sure. Well, sure. More control. I don't know. Love that it's not natural. But this thing if it was, I just, I think it looks a little straightened..

"And this is what baseball is all about and have a game last night. If you're just waking up many awaking up, they don't even know what happened last night and the giants and the Rockies played eighteen innings last night. Eighteen scintillating innings and it ended with the giants winning the game in the eighteenth inning three two, and Mr. Brandon belt is Mr. eighteenth inning. He did it against the nationals and the playoffs and he did it last night in the eighteenth inning. He four hundred twenty foot double with a gun out of any park. Couple of intentional walks. Five-man infield employed by buddy black Erik Kratz ground ball in Desmond off bounce though to the plate. Pose I Annette off the plate and sliding in is belt with the winning run. And the giants win it in. Yes, I said it in eighteen innings three two last night. So what an what an amazing game last night. Five hundred three pitches thrown last night just about every pitcher on the staff was eligible to work work last night, the team both teams are tied to two after the sixth inning and Pablo Sandoval. Another big pinch hit double for him came in and a very very very tough sacrifice. Fly Joe panic, very good at bad for him the tie the game two to Pomeranz gave up a balk that nobody ever saw for a run for Colorado. Double play ball by longoria got Duggar in and those are the two runs to to after six and a went to the eighteenth inning. But I will tell you this first of all giants of tuna row. Three of the last four games. Now seven innings pitched by starter. Pomerance last night only five innings for him. And then the bullpen came in. And I do wanna aknowledge the bullpen. And I don't wanna knowledge everyone who stayed at the ballpark last. Night this game. I don't know how many were left. I was not missed tell you. Allie was not uncommon. We have seen her yet. We don't know what happened to her last night. She was on triples alley to about two in the morning. So hopefully, she's up and she's on her way here. But the game last night five hours and thirty five minutes twenty four strikeouts. For recorded by giants pitchers. That's the most in San Francisco history about that the previous was twenty two and that crazy game with the Mets in nineteen sixty four. We Gaylord Perry went ten innings but for the bullpen last night. And this is the sign that I like to see I tell you it's pitching defense. And the giants have got that. Now, the hitting still a work in progress is still hitting under two hundred as a team through the first fifteen games and sending all sorts of futility records for the franchise, but the pen last night. Thirteen innings seven hits no runs. Two walks in nineteen strikeouts. About that. The Colorado pen twelve and a third innings to hits giants almost may twenty seven outs in a row a run three walks and thirteen strikeouts. So both pens absolutely terrific last night. And the giant pen prevails as Bergen gets the win Milan-San danced around and trouble last night. Things are happening last night around the ballpark and runs here. Runs there. No runs. No one on bunch that had to get down. And it was a good testament to what baseball's all about Irwin her Garrett who does the Spanish broadcast for the giants. Just walked in here. We're in the bunker. We'll be here till ten o'clock, then after the public house in Seattle out there, but Irwin stuck his head in and said, this is why we love baseball. You know, every other sport every other sport alley right? Every other sport alley right? Every other sport has a time. You know like you can run out the clock. So. So to speak basketball soccer anything else, but baseball you need to get twenty seven outs. More fifty four outs. Yeah. There's no running out the clock. It's there's no going to overtime or you know, just trying to extend that whatever the lead. It's you just have extra innings. You have to get your three outs every single time. Even if you get a lead in the top you still have to go through to the bottom baseball such difference. Fourth in anything else and win a win. It is a win. You know, people wanna ties in baseball win is a win. An always say if you're gonna play eighteen innings you might as well win. And the giants that I thought it was an important win for them last night. They're trying to gain some traction some confidence. Well, and after such a slow few innings in the middle of that game and the extra innings to end on a loss like that would have been real rough. So it's nice for them to be able to end on a solid walk off win after pushing through and especially with Kratz catching them any innings, and then being able to get one through at the end is crazy. Good for him. Good for there's some romance and baseball. Thanks allie. Very good for the Rockies, though. They lost their seventh straight game. They've now lost eleven of their last twelve and I've said in life timing is everything and the giant Iraqis at the right time today. So very exciting. The fact that when eighteen and of course. You know, if you stayed out here for all eighteen I commend you. If you stayed up for all eighteen I commend you. And I should've was in and out of sleep there for maybe the last four innings going home. And then afterwards how about this? I love this maryelle Yoda. I'm sure as listening mareo fireworks at at one AM one fifteen I heard I live in Berkeley. And I they they were loud last night. And I could see him from from where the house is over the bay. I saw him last night. So fireworks at one fifteen and it all ended up in a victory for the giants. Three two two over the Rockies yesterday. So for the giants a couple of the post game notes at the guys put out last night. The eight ten game match the longest game in oracle park. History. Now alley oracle park has a very short history. It's only a few games few days. But Amy ball they tied fishery once they got to the eighteenth inning as this ballpark. Okay. Not just oracle. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All right. So eighteen in game last night. I mentioned longest game in oracle park history. Going back to may twenty ninth of two thousand one against Arizona and richer really was on Comcast last I call Comcast. I don't know what they call each other. Now, I'll keep you as BAT now. Oracle used to be Comcast. It is a lot happening, but he played the whole game. Good for him. And he was talking about it last night. So he played the whole game as I said twenty four strikeouts for the giants. That's the most in SF era history. Twenty two in the second game of a doubleheader against the Mets. And if you look for giants Lor go back and take a look at that one. But that was sort of the debut of Gaylord Perry in whatever he was doing figured it out and went ten innings in that game. So that broke that record for Erik Kratz as Allie said he caught all eighteen innings last night. His first career walk off RBI and Pablo can't say enough about Pablo. I mean, it you can't say an Kasit team struggling to hit. They're hitting under two hundred one ninety nine such like that for Pablo he got a pinch hit double in the sixth. He's now five for twelve with four doubles as a pinch hitter. His five hits as a pinch hitter. This season the best in the major league. So. Stephen vote if you thinking taken Pablo's job, not so fast. And I know a lot of people follow the giants, you know, and the and the deep dive so to speak Stephen vote is in Sacramento, and I know his left hand hitter. Could catch you could do the job that Pablo does gonna move Pablo off of this thing. I really don't the rocky scored two runs in the top of the fourth to take to nothing lead in the giants. Of course came back in this one snap their streak of not holding a lead at fifty seven innings. Iraqis are not hitting are not has not had a home run. And while fifty six bats Posey's two hundred bats that home run. But that is one of those streaks one of those crazy streaks, Colorado just not hitting the ball at all and not getting it done. So those are some of the notes from the game last night. So let's take a look a little bit of what we have going on today. Two pitchers who probably can go deep in the game today. And I I would assume they will one is Kyle Freeland. He's a left-hander for Colorado. I think one of the best pitchers in the league. Now, he got off to a good start as first game was good. His last two against Atlanta. Tampa Bay this left. You knows how to pitch. He's given the giants trouble, by the way, the giant Saum last year who's three no against the giants. Four games. Twenty six innings twenty hits six runs. Four homers, though, three walks. Fifteen strikeouts. But his last two against Atlanta Tampa Bay and we've seen Tampa Bay nine and two thirds ten hits nine runs a Homer, eight walks and thirteen strikeouts. Which means to me release point is off. He is not on top of his game. But he is always always been tough. Now he goes against the giants today. He's lefty six thirteen but Homer against him. Righty? Six fifty one. So maybe we'll see more lefties in the line. Today for the giants. That's frequent left-hander going for Colorado today on the giant side. And they need innings today from the big boy, and that has Madison Bumgarner one hundred ten wins in his career twenty nine years old two hundred fifty six major league start. He hasn't had a win this year earned run averages three point three two because those five runs gave up against the dodgers with that grand slam to Bellinger unearned runs. They are not earned his whip. Putting runners on base zero point nine five batting average against two six again left these against Bumgarner one for fourteen righties thirteen fifty four with three homers. So for Bumgarner nineteen innings fourteen hits seven earned runs but four home runs and three of them to right hand. There's four walks in sixteen strikeouts. Paying little quick stat about nobody on base the league eight for forty eight. Against them. So that's like a one sixty seven runners on the league is hitting three hundred against them. So when they get them in the stretch, he's had trouble to us of his four home runs have been given up with runners on first time through to for twenty three second time through seven for twenty five with three of the home run. So for Bumgarner it is something to watch today..
