"Here on a M 12 20 k d O W thanks for joining us today. Today. We're talking in the spirit of Martin Luther King's birthday and really trying to get into exactly sort of how we transition from racial equality to economic equality. And so I feel encouraged by what's happening because I feel like with the economic equality space that we're in now. You really start to feel some of those issues that people felt in the 19 sixties that led to that Fair Housing act being signed in 1968 and again, it's very clearly documented. Martin Luther King Junior's death was definitely a catalyst for Lyndon Johnson a week later signing the Fair Housing Act. There was definitely included exclusionary housing practices at that time. That kept people out of certain neighborhoods. And so you have to reverse this process of existing Neighborhoods of folks feeling like within their comfort zone. They wanted to make sure they live with people that represented there. Same values look like them, etcetera, etcetera, but that was Definitely clearly against the law. Now we move into the space where a new phenomenon not really new, but new with respect to racial equality. Moving to that economic qualities you have NIMBYism Right if you try to get a neighborhood Changed in any such way where you're trying to bury bring in a facility. Let's say with low income or temporary housing. You have people what they call not in about not in my backyard. Right, so they're gonna go to City Council. They're gonna make sure they let the local government know that they're not happy with the potential change to their neighborhood character. And so we running into the situation on the very low low income housing, especially where people sort of have preconceived notions about what kind of people are going to be moving into that neighborhood and feel like they're gonna be losing. The character that represents the neighborhood that they currently live in. And so that's why I say that economic equality is very akin to the racial inequality issues that that we had back in the 19 sixties. And I think a lot of what's driving all of this and what drove that is stereotypical prejudice type of behavior that really had a preconceived notion. About what That person represented those people represent, right. So when you think about that That's why I rattled off the household of one, the one person being low income in San Francisco County if you earn less than $73,000 a year. So if Sam School says, Hey, we want to come up with a low income housing development Well, low income housing development is going to be there for people that make $73,000 a year and it's important that people recognize before they jumped. The NIMBY approach of saying those people are gonna be moving into our neighborhood is going to change the character you want to really think about. What makes San Francisco San Francisco, right? So if you think about it, not all of us are in tech, right? A lot of us work in service industries and service industries are in that pocket about 50 60 70 82 under $90,000 a year. If we've gotten to a place where people that you know, can afford the million or 2,000,003 million because of the jobs they have, or the income that they make. That's not representative of the majority of folks that live in that city. And so when you go to the restaurant, are you enjoy services or you get things delivered or anything that you're visiting in that city? Most likely is with one of the workers that make that income bracket that load of moderate income income bracket. So I want to say that because in order for us to be successful with these new housing policies That have been enacted and put in place by our governor, Governor Brown. If if you're if you're not aware, last August and September, essentially released 15 new housing bills. And those housing bills are really meant the challenge the protracted process that developers have to go through in terms of bringing on new developments into communities because local governments really have toe not only acknowledge a lot of environmental concerns, there's some state regulations that make that that process a lot more difficult than maybe others think it should be. But you have also this issue of the local community feeling like they're gonna lose the character of that community because those people are getting ready to move into our neighborhoods. And so with incomes being the focus, you start to get away from Really those preconceived notions your teacher That's your local school district in that community that makes those home prices so expensive doesn't earn $200,000 a year. And so if your median home price in San Francisco and at this point, Sam Pickles median home price last I checked had reached a million won so over $1.1 million in San Cisco So if you think about it, somebody trying to buy Can't afford that. Somebody this earning $200,000 a year if I was to use the same standards that we use for affordable housing, which is based on income. Would say a person that earns $200,000 a year should not pay more than 838 $130,000 to purchase a home. Person making less than $150,000 a year should buy a house for no more than 622,000. Person earning 100,000 or less should buy a house no more than 415,000. So you start to look at those home prices with San San Jose in the $800,000 median income our median home price San Francisco over a million median home price. Oakland over $640,000 median home price. When you start to look at these numbers, you start to realize that the characters of those communities whether you're talking about San Jose San Francisco, where Oakland are really threatened by the fact that the people that provide the services the people that make that character that that service that restaurant Half the drive to a three hours away in order to provide that service to you. At some point, we're gonna reach a breaking point where those people are going to leave, and some of these suburban communities where they're moving to that haven't established services. They don't have the nice restaurants. They don't have the school systems People are gonna start having to relocate there. And those cities are gonna have the pressure to start establishing that infrastructure and draw that away from the Oakland and San Francisco. So we've had this weird relationship between you know, inclusionary and exclusionary housing policies. That essentially Our community sort of went to the suburbs, right? Our communities. The white flight went to that went to the suburbs and basically drew resource is away from the inner city. Then they started building up the inner city. Now the inner city where the jobs are the attractive thing, and then the suburbs now are being, you know, stripped of those of those populations. Everybody now is crowding the inner city. So now folks of being pushed out to the suburbs away from transportation centers away from major resource is and services. So you've got this? You know if if you're that person that sort of that load of modern income household, you're trying to figure out where to go At first it was, you know. Hey, I have to live in the inner city. And so people went to the suburbs, and now it's I've got to live in the suburbs because everybody's moving back to the city. And so that's not sustainable in order for cities to keep this character and again I want to reemphasize what I talked about last week, which is if you're out there is that load of modern income household you're that person earning less than $100,000 a year. I need to make sure you register and you need to make sure you're known to your local government as one of those load of modern income household members that will either by a rent in that community, if provided with affordable housing options, and again, we're in house keys radio dot com. You go there sign up is a key member..

This is I'm gonna read this. As it's written. Ted Wheeler finally admitted that he's a dweeb has been conquered by the Neck Beard Basement dweller brigade, also known as Antifa, and has requested federal and state assistance after shunning outside help for months. In favor of padding and to fall on the head and telling them how good and oppressed they are. See when Auntie foe when there's an election coming up, and if it is very useful, you know, and we talked about it leading up to the election. All of that unrest and everything. It was permitted and allowed by idiots like Ted Wheeler by idiots like Jacob Fried because, you know we got this election going on. So you just keep people Uncomfortable for a little while longer. You know you blaming it on that Donald Trump and the Orange Man, bad and all that and then after the elections over and we get trump out of there, it'll all calm down and everybody can go home. What they didn't realize was they'd created a monster with this antifa nonsense. What they thought was a useful tool to try to, you know, continue to foment unrest and bolster their electoral chances. They they've created Frankenstein's monster. You know, that isn't going away and has now turned on them. And now that they can't Point to trump anymore and blame it all on him. Now that they can't say Well, if it weren't just if you just weren't for that, that Donald Trump just making everybody so mad, you know, they can't do that anymore. He lost the election. It's over. It's done. They is now all of a sudden, it's like you guys aren't going away. You guys. You guys aren't going to stop. I thought I thought we had a deal here. No, no, no. A de escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from the radical anti fun anarchists. There are just some actually said Antifa. Yeah, Wow, There are just some people who wanted to watch the world burn and that's what we're up against here. In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools. And push to and to push the limits of the tools. We already have to bring criminal the route to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end. Unbelievable. And you know what? And I want to point something out. Can't believe de escalation failed. I know shocking, right? If you listen to, you know, the Minneapolis City clown soul. I mean, that's like that. That's the key right that That's the whole problem with the Minneapolis police Department. They never de escalate. Well, yes, You tried de escalation. Now for what?
