So here's kind of what I wanted to do today cuz you know, we got a lot of people who listen to the show who are entrepreneurs and not a lot of people in the Bay Area and in the Marin County who listen to this and I wanted to get an idea of your story and how years went from having these really successful careers in San Francisco and basically just saying like look we're done and moving moving up north and then opening a gym. So could you could you each tell us off? About you know could each of you tell me a little bit more about your background and and kind of what you did before and what was the impetus for you to to to do. Yeah. I thought maybe I'll start sure so we moved here from Boston in 2007 and growing up on Cape Cod and then living in Boston since I was maybe like I'm nineteen years old. I became I went to hairdressing school the hairdresser for about eighteen years in Boston worked in salons and worked for different color companies and I was an educator for every years did some hair shows and symposiums and that sort of thing and you know had a managed a couple of different salons and did everything within the Hair World. So always like kind of having a customer service background. All right, when you moved to San Francisco Kyle's job actually dead. Brought us here. And then I have to kind of rebuild my whole clientele from scratch cuz didn't know anyone out here right that and then that more into eventually that evolved into being my own business, you know becoming independent contractor and did that for a few years. So it's been like thirteen years you've been in San Francisco now wow, and you've had you've had some pretty famous people in your salon like we don't name-drop but you've had some like politicians and some bigger and bigger..

'Doctor Strange 2' Loses Director Scott Derrickson
"The director of Doctor Strange Josh will no longer be directing doctor. Strange in the multi verse of Madness. Ben What is going on here. Yeah so Scott Erickson who directed the first doctor strange film and and as of yes or all the way up until yesterday was attached and announced in all of that stuff to be directing the doctor strange sequel. He announced on twitter marble and I have mutually agreed agreed to part ways on doctor strange in the multi of madness due to creative differences. I am thankful for our collaboration and will remain on as EP. So that's that's executive producer. That's kind of an interesting thing. In and of itself took a lot of times when people have creative differences they just like split entirely. I'm wondering if it has something to do with. Maybe like a store like just a the development process in like how much work was put into the movie if marvel sort of like throwing him a bone for the work that he did their contractual to like. He's going to get money on this and it was probably part of this deal with the first one. If they made a sequel that he would remain main honest producer. Right Right James Gone. I think was going to be producer on guardians. Three after he was fired right which brings us to the question. How many marvel directors have been have like they weren't he wasn't fired they have split the both agreed flint? Right right. Yeah it's pretty rare for marvel studios goes to part ways with directors like this like. I think it's only happened twice so far with thor. The dark world where Patty Jenkins was originally announced. And then Alan Taylor ended up coming on directing that movie. And then the original ant man which Edgar Right was famously on board to make for years and years and then ended up stepping away. Sort of at the last minute and taking ended ended up coming in and he's become director for for all three of those franchise entries the third one is is upcoming but This is one of those turned out. Good one of those turned out bad What does this mean for? Why do you think Scott Dirksen left this? Because there's there's a couple theories he's going around the Internet. There's obviously when this was first announced. There was at a Scott. COMECON this year I think Derek San Rafael our fight. He was talking about how this is going to be kind of horror film of sorts. Yeah they said it was basically going to be like the first scary movie and the MC you and there've been a couple of stories about that where I think have himself has been talking about how Dr Strange supposed to have you know horror elements but not like full on horror movie. I it's never been like. The new mutants was originally sort of pitched as like a horror movie in the X.. Men World it's never been as explicit that I think he has his call. Hollowed out like You know the ending of Raiders Lost Ark and like things like Made some of the Amblin productions like that level of Scary stuff within a larger adventure story. So yeah I guess one of those theories you're talking about is that maybe Scott Erickson. WHO's more of a whore guy himself? He's directed the exorcism of Emily. Rosen sinister and movies like that Maybe he wanted to push the horror a little bit more than marble was interested in pushing it and that could be where those creative differences lie. Do you have another theory. Peter I have one. What will the other thing is that? That's interesting about the theory is fight. He's done some interviews recently where quick you mentioned he's kind of walked back the the the horror angle of that even though they lead with that at at COMECON so that's what why people are leading to that but the other theory is that this film film is going to tie into the Disney plus Empty you universe. was that what you were going to mention. It was yeah because like this sequel is really being positioned positioned more than any of the other Announced Movies of the MC you as like a very important thing to the future of what marvel is doing because Feigen has talked about. Ah being basically like a creative linchpin he said the multi versus the next step in evolution of the MC. You and doctor strange in the multi. Madison's GonNa crack it open in ways that will have repercussions Russians and he's talking about repercussions for like the movies after it as well as the Disney plus series that you mentioned one division the Elizabeth Olsen Paul all Bethany Disney plus show and low key. The one with Tom Huddleston where he's reprising. His villain role are both going to tie into the movie doctors trained to you in some way. So maybe it's a case of like derricks in just being overwhelmed with the amount of requirements in terms of like this grand designs of the story. I don't want to put that on him. That's completely speculation. He'd be totally fine with that. I'm just sort of looking at it from the outside in with our limited perspective. Respective here just thinking about potential obstacles that he could or that that marvel could encounter here. That could be something like that but I guess Swab to wait and see if if any more official information ever comes out about why they ended up parting ways in this capacity

Take a look at your early Monday morning drive right now, we go to the KCBS traffic desk and Alden Jacob Oakland. Still a bit of a tricky situation. Nine eighty eastbound after seventeenth street all lanes were blocked because of an overturned pickup truck. Now CHP is trying to move this over to the right shoulder. They have removed the singular, but there are still things blocking the roadway. It's including a large tree, I guess this person the driver knocked into a tree and that's fallen onto the roadway. Still no word yet on if the overturned truck is still there, but all in all you're still seeing a heavy backup. That's almost back to eight eighty you might as well just stay on northbound Nimitz right that up to write that up to the Emoryville area, and you can use the grand avenue exit to just reconnect to eastbound eighty or wherever you're headed or you can use the city streets. "The Richmond San Rafael bridge this weekend has they had previously hoped. KCBS has Meghan golsby has the update from Cal trans the original goal was to work on the problem over the weekend. When there are fewer cars, but says Cal trans district director, Tony Varas. We have a contractor on standby, we hope to begin work depending on on the weather as early as Monday, they determined the problem to be an issue with an expansion joint that broke the concrete free sending it falling down onto the lower deck and two one car. No one was injured expansion joints allow the bridge to move when their temperature changes and expansion joints sometimes have to be replaced or repaired from time to time. I kind of relate them to wear parts on a vehicle. So like if you have tires brakes every once in a while you have to replace the tires and brakes, this doesn't have anything to do with the adding of a third lane of traffic. He says no this problem had not been around for very long the bridges safe. We have that robust. Inspection program. It didn't get away from us at the time. When we inspected that expansion joint. There was no indication that it would fail. The fix is expected to cost around three hundred thousand dollars in the East Bay. Megan gold, speak KCBS crews from the National Transportation Safety board Abby FBI have been on scene in San Francisco's Richmond neighborhood investigating the site of Wednesday's large gas line explosion that sent flames into their damaging five buildings NTSB board member Jennifer Khomeini home day says they're looking into PG dis response one area that we're still interested in is the length of time that it took to shut off the gas. Another thing that we were able to get today is we're able to secure three or four three to four feet of the pipeline that we may be sending back to our lab in DC for further evaluation city. Fire officials say a crew digging to end of the street to install fiber optic wires in the city's Richmond district neighborhood cut that natural gas line or Mendy says later today, they'll be conducting a number of interviews and visit the pipeline control center as Oakland teachers prepare for a possible district wide strike students are standing in solidarity to support dab KCBS. "The lower deck of the Richmond, San Rafael bridge has been closed now for about forty minutes. Westbound lanes are closing even now as we speak. In fact, I can see a CHP vehicle positioning itself at the toll plaza the bridge. Westbound is now officially closed. They have been working to shut down traffic at the on ramps for interstate five eighty westbound to the Richmond bridge, and they didn't want to shut down the toll plaza until they were able to restrict the number of cars. They did not want to have people caught in the backup. So all traffic is being diverted off now just before the toll plaza. Westbound five eighty as the westbound which Richmond bridge is shut down at this moment and the lower deck has been closed for about half an hour that there were large chunks of concrete debris of various sizes found on the lower deck of the bay bridge and the. Concern has been that these might have come from the upper deck. So the bridge has been closed as a precaution. Cal trans crews are already on the scene. All right. Let's check other traffic looking at the ride through San Francisco backing up to the lower deck of the bay bridge. Only from fourth street. That's a pretty good ride. "Morning commute backups on the Richmond. San Rafael bridge are beyond tolerable, and they want Cal trans to consider opening up an existing but unused third lane to traffic seems like a no brainer. Right. Except that that lane is scheduled to become a pedestrian and bicycle pathway this spring and not everyone wants to share the roads. So to speak KCBS Jeffrey Schaub has that story commuters who use the bridge to get to Marin or often bogged down along interstate five eighty long before they reach the toll plaza, Orange County. Supervisor Damon Connelly says something's gotta give we've heard loud and clear from teachers looking to get to the morning bell on time. For other employees, Moran and employers alike. What can we do? Connolly wants to do for morning commuters. What Cal trans did? For those headed eastbound in the afternoon. Open up a long shuttered third lane. But here's the deal this spring Cal trans will open a westbound lane, but only for bicycles and pedestrians. It will be a four year long pilot project. That's too long. What we're saying is let's come back six months after the biking pedaling opens and take away ultimately Connelly and others want the third laid open to the Hitler traffic during the peak AM commute times bicycles and pedestrians. And there was already plenty of congestion there. Anyway, traffic has been backed up through the Tracy area. Well. Beyond the eleventh streets split making your way to the Altima pass. So you're already in stop and go traffic here. Trying to get over to west five eighty and north Flynn is where it loosens up. Also, the counter commute eastbound five eighty at grant line, we have the usual roadworks. So there's about a miles worth a slow traffic heading toward Tracey as well a little closer to home here. Westbound ninety two at industrial. That's your approach to the San Mateo bridge a little Fender bender clearing to the offramp there. Traffic looks okay, though, south eight eighty down by Dixon landing road in Milpitas. There's an accident, but it looks like it's often to the side of the road right in the tall weeds. They say so not blocking any lanes as for the bay bridge. There was a little Fender bender at the metering lights go, but they cleared this very quickly. So traffic is still fairly light at the toll plaza. And it's a fairly easy pattern coming into San Francisco. So far your next update is at five eighteen on the traffic leader KCBS.
