"And by the way i it was interesting to see you. Eyes at both brock and sina or forty four. He's ted are cd without the backing by the way they were considering that making that a new shirt. Ted are cd without the without the bacne. New shirt i gotta tell you. I was watching the day on an old primetime own. My god i mean. The man's backing was on fleet. All right guys. we're gonna come coming up after this right now. We're going to play you. The cheap pete live Greg and i did little podcast. Obviously some of the conversations about summer slam now will be funny to listen to because it was our beforehand. And we've seen it play out. But i recommend you listen. It's a fun live interactive thing. We other random questions not about summer slam. Just talk to the people. So we're gonna play that here next are live from vegas heat great and we do dip pristine before we get out. We do. We'll spend more time on it later this week. But my god friday night cm punk we know you do not like san punk. But man the goosebumps for their Yemen they were there. I mean i. I i was i was i was teared up. I gotta be honest. I i i was because you. I love wrestling moments and big wrestling moments. Make me very emotional and always have even when i watched them fifty times since. I'm a child. When when i see the warriors face to face with hogan and wrestlemainia six. I get choked up. I as you'll hear me say in the live show because we talked about. We talked about my conversation on social media last week. When i said that. Cnn punk on at his most over was moreover than rock. Sina and people were very angry at me. I realized that. I said this during the live show. I understand. that statement was wrong about the rock and punk was over the rock. But it's exactly what you said the reason in my mind. I was able to think that cnn punk is moreover than the rock is. Because see 'em punked to me has more emotional moments that hit me than the rock so i love the rock. He makes me laugh he. Popeye cheer his match. He's a better wrestler than san punk. All those things but now see 'em punk has two of the most like oh my god what's happening moments of the last twenty years. He makes you go. everyone quiet. What is happening here and rock and sina or both all time greats were well above and punk they do not have the same level of you. Stop and go. Oh my god. I have to hear what they're saying. That's not what they do. And so i kind of confused that in my brain with being over. Because he's so those moments are so over for me. They me so hard. This is a this is a and i want to. We don't have time to talk about it today but Myself dan black and schuyler asked in a few weeks back. Were three guys. That's a great group. It's a great one of the great groups and It's like a flick of the free birds. Frankly yeah free free bridges. We're today's confirmed at and We were doing a mount rushmore conversation. And dan black actually recorded it and put it on one of his feeds or whatever but the three of us tiered out we did not rush more and then t we did five or six years of who are all the tears of of wrestling and i think that it would be useful if nine maybe next week we read it out are want to go through all the tears. Yeah it's a major conversation. Hearing tearing. I love i love. We should make this one of the biggest guys in. I'm one of the ebro. Always says i'm one of the biggest rankers in the business that i listen. This is the ultimate ranking. And i wanna. I wanna have a a a visceral angry argument with s g g about tears and maybe sure and still but but yes punk create. You know how i feel about him. He created a moment. And that moment was hugging. Frank clown my god. No one is moreover than frank no mean that hug. He got the best. It was the hub of the sense. That no no. It was literally frank franklin. If you're listening you literally had the hug of the sach was the hug. They were hugging and hugging. They didn't stop hugging and then he went back to him at the end he did. Yes each other. Are you telling me. Frank that clown has pulled both noel foley. Nc oh my god over elise. He's more over the punk rock. Antecedent all right. We'll we'll come back later. This week with g will do a whole breakdown of the punk Thing we'll talk more about that and listen. I'll say this. Everyone was crushing me. Last week. i have changed. My argument punk is not moreover than roxie was fine. But i will tell you what he tried as hard as to make me look good on friday night because boy to that moment feel gigantic. I was we didn't talk about your gang broke on. Oh my oh. Yeah so the two hurricanes storyteller real really quickly. Yesterday booker was wearing all white outfit. He went to the pack. I think he went to the pack. Y'all fight last night. He was all white outfits. We had like white pants on and a white open button-down shirt he looker at. He'll grega a beautiful summer outfit. Beautiful summer so i told him i told him before we started. I said just so. You know i'm gonna make a joke during the show about you going to a diddy all white party and that outfit right and he started laughing and i'm waiting for my spot to get the dirty joke it. I'm like i got him a book. gotta go. he's going to one to did. He's all white parties and then we started talking about Edge and seth and the blood on friday night. The brood blood and i ended up saying this book.

"Email. sean. O. says evening y'all just when you think you've seen it all don callous. In short shorts. I work at a medic. It's this yesterday on the show. So i got this. I work in a medical testing lab and seen kelsen. Shorts may be the worst thing. I've seen all week and i've seen some shit not gonna lie. I definitely enjoy team. Entrances and the match itself when a bit long but solid overall. Moving out of the match. Whenever wheeler hit his arm on the turnbuckle. I paused in washington slow mo and it looked like something stuck in his arm like it punctured his skin badly. I'm guessing that's maybe by the end of the way i'm almost on a percents darby ellen called out. Cnn pump. And let's kinda swimming us. I don't see by darby would have said what he said. Whether it's cog were not jericho match ended and as uncomfortable as some parts were to watch. I couldn't look away. Good show overall. I want to say thanks to the amazing content. You deliver every day and you'll have a great night so yeah. I haven't really watched where the injury happened with cash but he was at ringside looking like i got to put pressure on the spot because otherwise there's going to be blood everywhere but this letter. This email Kelly introduces the conversation. I wanna pivot to that where how big of a deal is punk to eighty. W if awa already has really good good good to great depending on your perspective depth in the men's singles star category You know i compare it to like if you have you know would baskin. Robbins have more customers if they had thirty six thirty five flavors instead of thirty one you know probably not but if you have four flavors in you expand to eight you might have a lot more customers like the point is is. How important is the pumpkin twenty. Twenty one because to me you can. I can listen to an argument. That's eighty w is made up of basically see on punk fans. So how many more are there to get already giving them. What's in a in the form of different wrestlers. What's the punk provides. That's the low end of the impact. It can have the other end is this absolutely brings in laps fans from ten years ago. Who don't know about the bucks they don't know about kenny. They think cody's. Wb mid carter live off. His dad's last name and democracy was cool. But you know that's not enough for me to watch what's the puck. I'm totally tuning in. And i'm just not sure which of those two extremes or if it's somewhere in the middle punk falls what what do you think. Think that unless. I'm proven until i'm proven wrong. I am going to assume that all the people who would want see this. Massive return are all a great many people who would love to see this return watching any way because so much of what sia punk represents at. This point is like the anti. Wwe like he left when he was in a very high spot on the card Because of how he was being treated and how daniel bryan was being treated and how it was all for an audience of one. And i think that all those folks who watch e w genuinely as like a stick it to w w we who cares if the shows good or not. It's a different show that's Nationally produced I think they're probably already. They're much is made of how there's nobody out there. Who can move the needle. Just nobody at all because these companies have probably prudently figured out that if you promote the brand and say it's all about the brand and people are out there chanting for their favorite wrestlers but for their favorite company when they see a high spot. Then then you've just your roping your roping them in for life doing that. So it's it's just it's so hard for me to trust that right now anyone signing even if it makes for a better show is going to actually move the needle punk would be a big big test of that thinking because i think if anybody has any wrestler is a star to wrestling fans to the level of On a high enough level needle than maybe punk is that person because of because of what it represents and pumpkin. Brian a huge one two punch because they were really two very very good wrestlers that the fans wanted on top that they never ran with as much as they should have. Because vince wouldn't walk back his plan. So i don't know i. I certainly think that this is real with san punk era where he has the ultimate renegade comes out and you never heard such boots on tv. So i think that this has got to be real and certainly in the short term. The first couple of weeks i think spike probably but i sustained ratings is for a company and is punk from a talent standpoint redundant or just create a whole set of really cool top and segments that add depth to aws roster and perhaps make it tougher to start doing you know get. I don't want this to be poker women but like when you when you had to mix even with the third hour rampage coming up in a couple of weeks when you add to the mix you are make your crowding somebody else out and at some point you're crowding out somebody. Who isn't that big of a drop off from punk when it comes to how you're going to make money but punks men gone long enough and his reputation might have taken a hit through. You know whatever delusional approach he took to his career you know. So i mean he certainly got mocked for. It felt like privileged kid moving moving onto a an usc paper bucar because of his name value after being critical of rocketing made events spots and instead of him on wrestlemainia. It's felt like okay. They're not exactly the same but they're not entirely different. Either and so i think he took some hits with people's reputation side of him. That wasn't just anti vince. But was corky phil brooks prickly phil brooks so. I think there's mixed feelings about him. I think there's great intrigue but from a just a talent standpoint. Let's set aside some of his reputation his backstory. He can come in there. I assume at forty two years old with years of rest go in there and have some pretty stellar matches that he's not bored with. I remember when people were praising his matches with the shield on how shows and he. I think he tweeted. Jury tweeted Mother they're not that good. I'm basically said you know i'm bored. They're not that good. You're over praising my work been there done that. And i don't know what his mood was or his intent was but i think there's a new mix of talent on a personality and entering standpoint that better motivate punk or else. He shouldn't be in wrestling. Because this is a really fun roster both as a heel or face for him in either role to match up against on the mike and the rain. yeah on the. Mike is where he's really going to stand out. Among everyone in the ring there are so many wrestlers who are at the level of in ring. Sam punk of two thousand eleven. I mean that's just you're expected to be that good in the ring now so i don't know if it would significantly up the level of quality of matches at the top at all because they've got plenty of folks who can do this way. What the only reason to sign him is because he can be a star potentially on another level he can have those wars of words with. I don't know for me. The most intriguing long-term feud they might be like he and moxley I think that they could have some memorable wars of words. The rock and jericho vein And that is what could set them apart at this point because i i suppose we don't know if he can set himself apart as a an in ring talent anymore i think people will expect him to be able to wrestle two thousand eleven cm punk when he was at the very height of things with with the pipe bomb and with the winning the championship and like kay fehb walking away in all things that he would do in real life. A few years later but I think they're banking on him to be a major star in trying to do it in a way. The wwe fans don't say all this is is all the former wwe guys being stars even though the numbers on roster don't bear that out we're.

"W i from what i understand is like yeah confirm that i think has confirmed confirm now. The second thing is Daniel bryan bryan danielson. Which is his real name. Yeah bryan danielson is also going to aid w now that news is not confirmed. As far as i saw. I tried to you know. A few wrestling Dirt sheets have said he suppose he signed the line and he's supposed to debut maybe it all out or something like that. I don't know. I think they're still working that out. Then instance then. There's been rumors of wwe. Removing him from two k twenty two. So if that's the case then that would give credence to the day. O'brien rumors going to eight. W but either way. They're saying it's not he's not slated to debut for maybe a few months or so. I don't know that one. i'm a little that one. I'm a little iffy on. That's going to be the one that until i see him on eight. W like scream. I will not believe it. Just you know what your face in. The in the words of the famous matthew can need gold gold covered on rha. What is going on. I understand. I literally haven't been keeping up with the new so closely to realize that punk is allegedly confirmed allegedly asked and daniel bryan is also almost confirmed. If they're they're like that's huge for the wrestling world and i my mind's kind of blown but this is a really good era for wrestling. I mean if we get them in a w that's pretty magical and wwe's need to work to keep up which like some of the best of wwe. A lot of what fans look back to. Was that monday. Night war period. When was putting. they're all out there and then he. Wcw was up there. So maybe we'll actually get a lot of good stuff going forward if this all kind of unravels like it. Looks like it is and more rumors. Are that after the news of the same thing. Brian signings that. Wwe reach back out to branch stroman to get. Nobody cares i. I didn't want to say it. But i don't want to say more than that was pretty much the consensus on twitter. They're like oh yeah. Come back dale. Brian and san punk with braun. Stroman all the great. So i don't know i. The only thing is as wrestling fans. We're just getting is just going to be more content. You know it's just going to be more things to absorb and stuff. So i'm excited i wanna see. I'm definitely not surprised at the punk news Not at all. It'll be interesting to see how he works in that environment. If you know some of the reports are true about like they have no creative. So you know. It'll be interesting how he would drive in that. But dan o'brien just. Wow if i had that is that is a big deal. That is a the. Here's what here's why. I think this will be great seeing seeing punk daniel bryan in an aws environment whenever you take some like people who are that talented. Whether it's the charisma that each of them have the mic skills that entering work of course and then just let it loose and let them do they want and unleash those creative minds on rustling. It's beautiful you. You get really beautiful things when you let people who won like no the business really well to know their characters what they're doing kind of run wild it works and actually that just made me think of hulk hogan while bat does not work. But i trust cnn punk. Daniel bryan to do well in that. So you know. i'm. I'm kinda i'm excited for it but i'm cautiously optimistic..

"You know that's why they were the perfect. They were the perfect threesome to because they made hogan cool but hogan made them age that they needed. And and i'll add to the outside has had the benefit of like it would only be equivalent to outsiders if we weren't having this conversation right now. We're expecting them to pop up so it can't hit the way scott whole showing up hit for the last time we saw him was on. Wwe television and he's like you know who i am. But you don't know why. I'm here insinuating that this was a wwe invasion. They were never going to do that. You will listen le. Let's just say this right now. It this will never be done as cool as the outsiders were done. That's never happening again. That day has gone. There's no era in which that can even happen anymore so that that's out the window but you know it's also it's also interesting. Here's here's the question. What do you think. I think the bigger moment and And we'll get to me being show this week in in a moment but ins in keeping with the theme that twitter had with me of that i am a wwe shell. I'll say this to punk returning to. Wwe is the bigger pop for me than him showing up in aws absolutely not. What about that. The the the idea of him in. Vince mcmahon burying the hatchet. The whole thing and him coming out that to me is the bigger deal and that is by the way getting too. Although maybe you know actually i take it back. I don't take that statement back. But i was about to say coming back with his music etc but awa could also pay to license culture personality so maybe he will come out with what had been his recent music. But it's just that to me would have been the ultimate story. Is him coming back to wwe. And maybe and maybe. It's still not too late for that because we don't know that cnn punks deal is done. I wonder what extent. Wwe would be willing to go to try to get 'em punk or if he was down the road with a w they would say it's all right. Good luck see later. I got to tell you besides roman reigns as we know they would. It's eight. he's a san punk. Would be a much needed star. Power for them right now agreed. Yeah i think i think. Wwe though in terms of siham punky just one generation away for feels like they're going to be clamoring for them if that makes sense right because they when they reach for the nostalgia. You know you see ed. Encina and punk is just of that next generation. He still a little bit younger than ed. Seen that think he's even younger than aj style. So i feel like w me right now even though they should make a serious play for him he's just one generation off from where like that desperation sets in and they want an style and they need seeming mean. You're saying he could. He mean he could have a two year run at aws. They could still get him. Yeah and i think after a two year. Run an eight. W i don't think it would waste his w. e. potential because even if he goes anywhere else that return pop would be would be made us. We saw with kurt angle. You had a full career booker. T. like the. Ww comeback is just a different thing. Let's just say actually what the way he left. Let's just say this though. I as i said on the podcast a couple of months ago and i'll reiterate it now that it's a possibility siham and daniel bryan if they both signed to aid w we can end the conversation which was always a false narrative because they have endless money but we can end the conversation of a w being the little engine that could they they they become a they are a real clear and present danger and would need to be treated as such on the flip side of that coin. They would also start facing pressure of now that you have guys like this. Let's see if you can really rate..

"And that is reintroduced with the same act but the new and improved version. You know and the announcers pay lip service to it. And i just the new and improved version of something that isn't fresh and new advances is to me. It's just an acknowledgement that something was wrong. Before and odds are despite lip service that it's new and improved it's gonna fade pretty quickly two superstars or just disappear. It seems like that's happened like twice with dongo absolutely and the new and improved on dongo was basically He went from being a ballroom. Dancer right to a salsa dance. So i think rosa mendes finance partner but it was still the same character and anytime the new and improved comes back. It's it's you know it's really not Yeah ex exactly. I want to get a quick plug in for my vip membership here at pow torch. And then we'll do some emails and phone calls art back with kevin speaking to riders. And we will. Let's actually go to an email question now and we'll begin with matt d. who goes. Hey guys kevin. If any idea. What all happened with the creative for the punk. Triple h kevin nash. Stuff in twenty eleven. Was it just over nash's medical issues or wasn't an idea. They jumped without any real plan in place for it. Came across on tv lost on what to do with. And let me my recollection. Sure oh i was going to say. But i'll read it so i apologize. Go ahead yeah. My recollection is that it really was kevin nash's medical issues That's got in the way. And that kevin wasn't medically cleared to do anything physical I don't really recall what the actual plans were beyond that. As far as you know what matches we're gonna take place or when but My recollection is it was it was strictly medical issue to talk a little bit more about the punk saga and how you reacted to bolt his rise and your impression of his departure and what it was like in me when he left and just to add to it comment in there. Also your opinion on cnn. Pumpkin what what his reputation was. And how you felt about that in terms of fitting into the way that. Wwe did thinks because he was he was he was an individual. Unabashedly uncompromisingly and individual in a company. That i think values team players. Who will compromise inform fit to the corporate environment. That the mcmahon's want so. Yeah elaborate on that. Well when i started with the company in twenty eleven punk was probably the hottest character in the business at that point and i was a huge san punk fan as as a wrestling. Fan i I thought his character was unique and it was. He was the coolest guy on tv now. Having worked with him. I i was kinda say this. I love the implant character. I didn't always love working with phil brooks yeah and You know. I think probably anybody who spent a significant amount of time around him. Let's say that. You know and i think he says this himself is that he can be a difficult guy to deal with. Sometimes he's great. Sometimes you catch them in the right mood. And he was very he's funny. He's cracking jokes. And he's a great guy to work with. There were plenty of other times where he wasn't that friendlier welcoming or all right. Let's you know. Let's get this over with kind of thing and i had some of those experiences as well. I don't think it surprised anyone when he left. Because i mean honestly he was threatening to quit. It seems like every other week he was. He was saying whether it was hunter. Michael hayes or somebody that he was upset and he taking the fall and going home so to speak. So i don't. I think we all knew it was going to come at some point. We just didn't know exactly win No matter how high he got on the card or how big of a star he was he just always struck me how much money he made so struck me as a guy who who was never happy you know. He was just never completely satisfied or happy with where he was at the time you know or what he was what he was doing and one of my colleagues described him as the kid in school. Who you know wanted to be the lead in the play but always you know only got like the the second best part because he wanted to be johnson this position in wanted to headline wrestlemainia and be the guy other than being the number two guy and i can't blame for that in a sense i mean we all aspire to be the best that what we do. But you know it's gonna be knocked off the perch at that point and sina say what you want about him but john. Cena was bigger ratings. Draw john cena was bigger live eventual. Em poke and we had the numbers that kinda showed that that when it was on a show versus a show that that punk was headlining live events. Go so i i just you know plumped was a guy who just never seemed happy Marriage is independent spirit. I admired his confidence themselves. There were a lot of things to admire about him. But i think in some ways he just. He didn't endear himself very many people. I don't think he cared about it. During the impression. I go with with with siham punk. Is that a lot of people. A spot. Think highly of themselves they have confidence they have a swagger they believe in themselves and have high expectations. But don't give off the vibe that you're a complete effing idiot. Who if you don't agree with. And i think that was punks reputation and well earned that. There was like almost a disgust. That people i've talked to and i think you can even hear it in in the cochabamba. Podcast that he did which was riveting it lot that i admire in a group on them but certain things i disagree with but i think he gave gave off to people who didn't know what a pretty good idea of of why i think he he push people away sometimes either intentionally or unintentionally in a way that was counterproductive to his aspirations to be a headline fulltime guy..

"Expect akal. But i thought that was great and now it's like okay. I'm interested in not only. Are we going to get to see a match. That's just going to be a great wrestling match. But it's got a reason for being there's an investment says ro is sitting there going. I'm finally gonna prove to you. Why deserve to be on this stage. And seth rollins is sitting there going. I won't allow myself to be humiliated. Seth rollins is basically saying without saying. I'm a main event guy i can't be. Aided wrestlemainia is my showcase and says ro is sitting there going back to the. Vince mcmahon stone-cold interview on the wwe network pre peacock. I call it pre peacock. Maybe i shouldn't call it that but years ago. The brass ring stuff we're finally cashing in on it. And we're gonna see a wrestlemainia. How twenty five thousand fans back in an arena for the first time in over a year respond to the fact that says ro has a one on one singles high profile match at wrestlemania. Then they do a real smart thing. The wwe goes. Kevin owens always great. We don't have anything specific for them right now. Coming off of that roman angle. not only. Sammy's ain't always great. But he's even better now because of the whole entertainment aspect right though the siamese eighteen as a heel as a conspiracy victim with a documentary crew. The whole thing has just been working. It's an exciting thing. When sammy zane shows up for a segment on smackdown. You know it's going to be good. So why don't we do. What we know will work. Why don't we put. Sammy's any kevin owens back in the ring together and boom boom here we are gonna. It's another one. It's going to be great. Maybe kevin onto a fulfills dream of doing a flip off the off the pirate ship. That's right there. And raymond james stadium hopefully right onto sammy's eighteen. There ever was an opportunity. And it's really interesting. Like the thing about kevin own zane is you could make this a blood feud you could sit there and create a narrative where you're like this match is fifteen years in the making. This is batman versus joker. This these two are attached cosmetically or you could just be like yeah. They're bickering so they're going to have a match at wrestlemainia is going to be real real. Good that's the beauty of kevin. Kevin owens sammy's zane. You calm kevin zane because they are attached like that and they can work in that style. Sammy zane could be the sympathetic. Good guy kevin. Owens could be a bad ass good guy. Kevin owns could be a hellacious. -ly evil bad guy. Sammy zane could be the whiny evil bad guy. you know. there's you can go in any direction with both of them. Because they're so talented. But i'm sitting there. And in one night i see seth rollins versus aro added to wrestlemainia. I see kevin owens versus. Sammy zane added a wrestlemainia. I see daniel bryan added to the main event of wrestlemainia. And i sit. And i think about the nights that i spent in buildings like the hammerstein ballroom in manhattan in new york city a block away from madison square garden and i watched claudio cast in yoli and i watched tyler black and i watch kevin steen and el generic. Oh who i do. I think they have some relation to same zane and bryan danielson tear the house down and this generation of talent in ring of honor that has come over to the wwe and evolved into wrestlemainia superstars. And i just get happy about it because that era of ring of honor that kinda end of the first decade ish beginning of the second decade of the two thousands in ring of honor is so good. It's no wonder. I like ring of honor when you really look at the talent. It's almost like the san punk generation up until the adam coal generation that whole group of talent like so much of the talent that ring of honor had in that period of time ended up graduating and going onto the wwe and wwe is has kind of done that with other places you know they they a little bit with tna a couple of years ago it seemed like a lot of people were coming over from tna or impact or whatever. It was at the time. I think more recently when you look at the people who've come into annex t. You're looking at a lot of people coming through evolve. You know the matt riddles and the keith lease the malcolm bevan's and leon ralph's and you know that whole crew coming over from evolve but i don't know that there's been any group. Pwg has a lot to do with the as well right like a lot of those ring of honor stars not like the punk era but a little bit after that the undisputed era era the kylie's and the atom kohl's and righty strong's and the and the idea even the matt riddles and the timothy thatcher's like all those guys came through Pro wrestling guerrilla as well. But when you look. And that's why. I mean i really think that's an investment that. Wwe should make is is is buying out the older tape library of ring of honor. I mean ring of honor had their one thousand nine nursery pay per view over the weekend. And i think years one through fifteen. Sell all that tape.

"You've they've seen him sell or you know what that he'll is peaking too quickly and they're gonna wanna blow the steam of him now as letting him build for six or seven months and giving him the back. Lenore whomever was the door you know. Sargent slaughter jimmy snuka or or pat patterson at the time so he always had a booker's mentality. We're we're not only today's box office. What's the long range box office. Because he worked for the chic right. And there's a guy that had more longevity than almost anybody in a territory so you always and you. You look at chic and bobo brazil and pampero firpo when the guys that drew money longtime in detroit. And that's that's how ernie learned it so. When ernie was teaching somebody he was teaching. You not just quick fixes and momentary business. What's the long range vision Anybody else i got in there. I thought he was a perfect fit with with the road. Warriors I liked what he did. And going back to your point about. Jj dylan. i thought it was perfect With with the four horseman. I can't deny that You know whether they stand out as my favorites. I can't say that the favors. But i mean i understood. Listen they were very good in their roles and they certainly played very well. I mean but you can take the same thing about me. Was her all dose. Or w clements was creech man. I mean all the all these guys there was about. You know back in the day with with with buddy raj. Who looked better than than bobby davis manager. I mean my god you know that the guy who was the perfect managed with buddy rogers they will guys at filled that role. But bobby heenan can work with eddie buddy. Oh absolutely yeah. I put bobby heenan. Probably his number one promos. You just did a great superstar milligram on ago. Superstar superstar was the head of his time. Yes dusty rhodes. I loved his promos. Who who some your favorite promo gas back in those days of all time today. I'm kissing your ass bobby stone. Cold steve austin Ravishing rick rude. And the funniest thing was i never liked this promos on television by love them live. I always thought that route was alive. Event promo guy and never truly mastered the art of doing promos on television because he was so big and he and he broadcasted so wide that he was alive event guy more than he was a television guy. I like jake roberts promos as a heel very much so having worked with him. Since i've been back. I love san punks promos. Yup i. I don't think you can ever lose. Promo guys are not mentioned. The rock i don't think you can mention best. Promos are not mentioned. Vince mcmahon during his run with you those were some killer promos. That drew all the heat. That you're you as a baby face needed to rebel against He wasn't my style but hogan drew a lot of money talking. Oh absolutely no doubt about that. I mean people bought into that actor hook line and singer If i asked you today who the greatest entering workers of all time i think you tell me ric flair well. It means my face my favorite pro wrestler. When i when. I look at just straight up performers shawn michaels she. I feel the same way sean. Michaels was a far more well rounded bigger box office better in ring worker than ric flair. But my god yeah. Rick flair would talk and make you believe he was. You know he was he was he was a whole thing and it was twenty four seven. Three six five with that guy and shawn michaels the thing his favorite pro wrestler as ric flair as well. So i'm in good company. But when i look at the best entering performer night in night out just on athleticism stories psychology. The whole ball of wax shawn michaels t to me is number one and it's funny out. I actually i think there's something else and i i don't think jerry lawler ever gets enough credit. Never for the money that he drew in memphis and how he talked them into the building and you got to include him on your time promo less. Just because i mean he could tell a story. Maybe is all you gotta do is just lance russell hand. Mmmm microphone is lead him in. He doesn't even have to leave him in his start. Tell a story. And then what i always loved about. Lawler's work whether there's either promo or in the ring with intensity guys saying okay man. We've been feuding like a summits for all this law. We just gotta jump at law could still go out there and lock up with the guy and tell the story from from jump street and not you know from from a an end up at sea by the end of the match yes in a rage pulling a strap down double color. You know it was a blow off. You didn't have to start. You know at six thousand. Rpm's and he did that whether it was talking to whether it was working. And that's why. I have so much respect for jerry. The king lawler yes. He was one of the best problems that people think because he run his mouth a mile a minute or saying catch phrases that they didn't they didn't catch onto what he was doing but make no bones about it lawler's one of my favorites of all time talking or work. I'll tell you somebody else was austin idol. I was watching a lot of austin idol of the day. Because i know we used to ride together and You know rude was in the car. And i'd be saying. Gd too much. He'd get mad interstate. Must you use a large name invade while he's rolling joint back here. I was watching some some austin idol of the day. Try to dig into some of this stuff. Sometimes i wanted his cadence to speed up a little bit for me. But he was very deliberate and articulate. And what he said and had a certain confidence level he was the first star. I managed and managed him in memphis. When i was twenty one years old right and i use the word brothers. All you would come on screen young. I mean he would. He would yell at the top of his lungs but he would. Enunciate words because most guys at yell and i'm i was very guilty this in my younger days when you yell people can understand everything that you're saying because you're yelling you're and you had the tendency but you're talking talking so fast that they lose the meaning of the words that you're saying and because you're emphasizing every words. None of them really stick outright. The genius of austin idol was that he could yell and still hit. The points articulate and enunciate the words to such a degree that you understood everything that he was saying. I was fast. I was fascinated when i would work with him. We would do promos. And i catch myself staring at him just because i couldn't believe while. Wow this guy's really good. I'm this good one day. Catch yourself doing. This is the steve austin. Show you.

"I mean i put you over and intimate interviews because it's all true. You helped me so much when i went down to. Sec w with the superstar. Steve the phone call. You're the first guy to call me. Steve what are you doing. I'm not gonna buster dorm much. Come work for me gateway got a busted arm anyway. You helped me you know. Harnessing focus my energy and develop a good promise so that being said with all the success. You had an ec- w with helping all these different personas characters people Define themselves and turn out. Great gimmicks and promos. How much of the current rosters coming up to you on a daily basis. Same paulie check this out or ask light like we just talked about your opinion of something and ask for your advice as a teacher. A mentor a lot. And it's funny. Because i used to be the kid in the locker room that had all these ideas that could revolutionize the business now. I'm the old guy in the locker room with these ideas that i hope can sell revolutionize the business. Just don't give them to the promoters or try to feed them to the other writers or producers slash agents anymore now when a talent comes up to me if a break. We'll come up to me or roman reigns. Or seth rollins or dean ambrose or any of these or even from you know the girl side and aj li a natty. Nitrite will come up to me and they'll ask me something. I'll give them an answer from my perspective. And that's the avenue for my passion in terms of helping somebody out or or sharing a vision with somebody. What's your current schedule on the road. You living in new york right yes. So how many on road of rare now Now i'm pretty much on schedule. I make the tv's at he doesn't make so. I i leave home on sundays. I make tv's on mondays. They need me on smackdown. I'll go to smackdown on tuesdays. And i go home the first flight in the morning the next day now before this when him pumpkin i were opposing each other It got so hot that i started making all the house shows again and i did that for a couple of months and burned myself out and desperately needed a few weeks off to recharge the batteries until brock came back. My schedule was a blessing. Right now. I really work very very little. You brought up san punk a witness. Podcasts is going to come out and be after russell. May i predicted A couple of weeks ago. The punk return wrestlemania thirty here. We are talking as you're gonna come back. We are forty eight hours away from wrestlemainia and unless a really wild move is pulled before then our and or at least a first conversation. Between vince and punk happens he will not be at wrestlemania. Was the last time you talked to sam book. I talked to them all the time. I don't really talk about the industry that much because it's obviously a sore spot with him but when when when you left the company. I'm sure you had very select friends that you could talk with. And who could talk with you and it doesn't have to be what was said about me in the locker room more or hey did you hear anything where you have you come back. I'm sure it could be. Hey how are your kids. Hey how you feeling today. Hey you're okay everything cool or anything not okay. You wanna talk about anything. When i left the company. I stayed very good friends with people who are still in the company. It doesn't mean just because punk has left the company. We can't be friends. Our friendship really funny thing to say. But it really had nothing to do with business. I think when you talk about cnn punk slash phil brooks there. Were three people in the room the night that he quit. Vince mcmahon triple agency and punk. I don't know what went on in that room. I know certain perspectives. But none of those three have talked public about it if one two or three of them decide to go public then we'll get a perspective on what happened that day until one of the three of them speak about it. It's only rumor and speculation and gossip. You know how's he doing. he's fine. does he missed the business. I don't think so. I never asked him if he misses the business because he just walked out six to eight weeks ago. I ask him how you doing how you feeling today. How's your diet going. what'd you eat. Hey did you did you watch. Did you watch the season finale of true detective. We talked about true detective on for hours. But do we talk about wwe. It's very rare. I've been meaning to watch to detect detective. Everybody says it's about show. I watch it absolutely. It's amazing the character development on that show is the best i have seen since whether you're a breaking bad fan or sopranos fan or a fan of the shield. I think those three shows revolutionized the way the characters up presented on television. Any of those three shows in my opinion. Now's a huge sopranos fan. I think they pale in comparison. Detective most fascinating. I've seen on television and years. Two words you just said character development. Let's go back to wwi man. You've got some young cats coming up in the programmer the wyatt's through bad ass kids And a couple of been around for awhile. Carbs been around a while. I don't know how long eric ron's been around. But bray whites coming into his own for last year has been done so the mic. Also you've got a three bad s catch with the shield Those guys you got into tosa zero. Did you work with antonio cesaro back in the day. No i would love to the okay. But anyway he's another bright spot on the on the blip on the radar character development. A wwe some of the gimmicks they've given some of these guys have been lackadaisical at best. Well they doing over here to help these kids find an identity and the guys that shield guys in whites have done a tremendous job antonio cesaro. He had a hell of a match with john. A couple of months ago premier talent physical specimen bad ass. Ken i see money on him. Maybe not in current gimmick kid. So what are they doing to try to help these kids. What's what's program now. Because w everybody that came through there you help really hone and define who are defined. Help them find their strong points and stay away from the weak points. I think in ec- w we had the opportunity that i took myself as director or writer or producer seriously to the point where my goal in that company was to take a steve austin. Who was misused by wcw or a mick foley who has misused by wcw or shane douglas who never had a real opportunity to shine in leader in a leadership role and to produce and direct and refine and help those talents. Find themselves you know if it if you watch an al pacino or robert deniro or a harvey tower. Dustin hoffman now. They just work on a movie. They usually become characters of themselves. But once once scorsese or copello me lows foremen or sidney lumet get their hands on these performers..

Steve new york antonio cesaro shane douglas Dustin hoffman vince eric ron last year steve austin three people tuesdays three shows three thirty robert deniro Ken john today forty eight hours paulie

And I said nothing better than when someone says, you know great pick after pick no. Actually the best thing is when someone goes fuck after you night the guy from Memphis that's how you know you made a good. I mean Brian. Walker unshakeable fact, he's he let that be known was wild. I didn't watch much see punk but I fucking love that one. Love it to Ultimate Warrior San Punks off the Board Carl, were out back to you. All right. So this is a I often get accused of pandering. There's a lot of pandering that gets accused of in the snake draft. That's the word they could soon around lot here. I think this is the complete opposite of pandering. "I wouldn't particular expect revival to have gotten this spot in the first place but but just with all the releases for the this is the kind of the make good just like if you if you stick around. Good things can happen to you man possible possible but I see the new but I agree. That should be really skewed towards a new day and then finally as far as we know Roman reigns versus King Corbin. TLC match feel like this feud has been going on for like seven years. Here's even though I know it's been like four weeks. It's just I feel like I've seen this before. I know what's going to happen. And it's it's there's no what's the substance to this other than they don't like each other and that Corbin is kind of an asshole like what is what is the propulsion. Here why should I care about this for longer than another five days. Good question I mean I like both these guys I like the I mean. It's just you know it's tough so for The main event of year. Yeah it's yeah it's a tough soza main event. Yeah I I just. Don't I want to care about this because I think Corbin's trying really hard. I still find him hard to look at just like generally speaking. But you know I. I think that he's I think he's doing great work but I just I think that there's there's only so many dog puns. You can make an and Hughes Dog Paraphernalia you know. I think it's I think it's it's run. Its course I think this is a clean in Rome win. What about you? Yeah I mean. Roman reigns feuds have a tendency to last for eight months but this does feel like after especially after the dog food. The incident on Friday does it does feel like everything here feels kind of off. I mean. Obviously you're you're right about that We'll see yeah. We'll see if they if they do anything to surprise us What happened is we John? Morris resigned did he. Yeah all right. He's officially back back in the fold. Good for him it was an Nwea powers that or will he was in impact for impact. That's right NWEA. Power is like a joke. That people like the smart marks are playing. Hang on like the other. Mark said haven't watched stuff 'cause like it's like a youtube show run by Billy Corgan. Who bought it just sounds like a joke? It's not real. If like like five hundred die-hard wrestling fans got together and pretended this show existed and it didn't actually exist they. That's they could definitely pull that off the Internet. Yes use people. Only if someone asks what the addresses you just don't even reply to them on exactly Yet no I think that's that's probably true Yes John Morrison's back. I guess he could be a surprise because he's not going to be a big big surprises. No rumble surprise. He's big enough to be a surprise. Speaking of yeah he's He. He's another one of those guys that has grown about a foot. Since the last time we saw him in terms of like with the rest of the roster looks like yeah see wasn't a big a guy but he's GonNa be big now. Oh Yeah Awa was good we talked. We talked a little bit about The what's it called the jungle boy a Jericho showdown Moxley beat Joey Genoa. Talk about a guy who got big John. moxie wrestling Josie Nel is like me and my eleven year old Stepson Pat Mu power bombing him onto the bed. This is why this is why John Left. I just wanted to power bomb and eleven year old kids wanted to be the one to work like a giant and Dan a Pentagon junior and And Racine both had singles matches which is a treat a pure pure treat But Yeah I'm not sure if we miss anything else. was there anything else. You Jimmy didn't think anything Tomorrow's ray mysterious birthday forty five. He's only forty five and it's fifty five an hour better than young. How old is Ray Unmasked as he thirty five or thirty just small child aid? How old is he? Yeah Oh I saw my massive couple months ago. I talked to him a you did. Yeah here Where'd you talk to them you it just like the local Ymca? I met him online at the drug store and basketball. I'm pretty sure it was Syria. Maybe it was the same same height. I'm just getting I is definitely talked to Ramos. He looks really young. He looks great city of gun or was it just a guy mysterious mess talk you know it was Ramos Zero. He was care at the time is what I was talking to holding the mask in his hand like a support group for people that want a body slam their kids. What is this He looks great. He's great. Oh Oh here's the big news that we didn't talk about. They already started announcing the hall of fame. Oh Yeah Yeah. Because he says going in. He's apparently asked that fit Finlay inductive. We'll see if they allow that and then the W. O.. Who according to the hall of fame Intense criteria for selection includes Hogan Hall. Nash and and Ex Park which is just the most. Why would you tack him on other than you have a good relationship with them and you just want us? Keep it to the three. I don't when I think about the N.. W. We all. I don't think about him. I don't think about. I don't really think about anybody else. Besides those three guys and Scott Norton obviously I think about all the time in my dreams Horace Hogan invent another easy when David Flair for. Sure I yeah I mean. Experts on paper is a little a bit weird. He is very identifiable an interview. Oh Guy though I mean. He doesn't match. He goes If you're going to keep it to I would agree if you weren't going to keep it to Hogan Hall and Nash. Ray like why. Why spread out to four? Like if you're GONNA do for why don't you do five. Why don't you wanted to bring in Buff Bagwell? Why don't you? I mean I know why but wanted to bring these. Other guys also wasn't the sixth member that's it was six. It was diaz awesome seeing the giant worst bake sting these days bring him in the miss him fake sting his neck broke until I think fixing wrestle. Joey Genoa Annella Indie card. Fake sting was the guy you thought it was very mysterious. The yes so the interesting thing about that is I mean listen. Everything's up in the air with the new era of WB and the different programming. You know brand splits and eighty w ratings ratings and everything else but like this is really early to be announcing hall of fame induction super early. This is a time in December and I know that usually dude around they do one at the rumble they do like the big one at the rumble but maybe six weeks earlier than this stuff. Yeah I mean I wasn't there last year but maybe this is They're having problems fill in the building. And maybe it's probably I. I wonder if there's if feels like they probably are not moving tickets and Tampa like the time this to like the on sale announce or something like. Yeah my a couple of things on that one. I'm not sure if Tampa is the best place to be during a resume weekend and twenty nineteen. You talked about the other night about how excited you are to go to Tampa. I'm not you can't wait to hang out in the pirate ship. I didn't remember I didn't know you're talking about. You're like you're going to Tampa and I was like why the how I gotTa Tampa no offense Tampa. I actually spent summers in Tampa when I was a kid. I Lay Tampa Larry's ice cream take trips the amusement parks and stuff like that It's quite a shout but but I don't like wrestlemanias in places that aren't walkable Cher the management or at least like imminently. WBZ Dallas like a million different spots. That were all two-minute Ober rides away because we are all down downtown almost the entire time. But I don't like I feel like thank. You GotTa go destination for these things like New York Chicago. La New Orleans like. I'm sure there's a couple of other ones but like I don't know I just don't i. Don't I WANNA go to somewhere that I wouldn't go. Otherwise Miami's a good one even if even though you're you're just totally doing wrestling stuff all weekend thing for a lot of people. Will you want to sort of validate the trip with like and on Saturday. We're going to go to the Empire State Building with the fan because we're spending so much money to get there. Do you think they just want all these. You know old fat marks to go and into beat some place warm and there's like it's warm. It's fine we're told the story before but my my the first wrestlemainia covered back grantland was Miami and I and I got there early like I. I wanted to get the full experience so I was there on like Tuesday or Wednesday and just every day like the like the the. The first day I was there I was like wandering around just like enjoying South beach and then the next day I saw like one wrestling fan from one hundred feet away and I was like. Oh there's a guy who was here for Wrestlemainia I know at the end then like every day. There was a few more of course by Saturday. It's like south. Beach is just body to body guys in San Punk t shirts or whatever it was and it it they take over in a hurry but anyway I'm not Asher of Tampa I mean. I'm not sure if the destination thing also really wonder this. There's a limited. There is a select set of people who are going to shell out money to travel to go to Wrestlemainia wrestlemainia every year and by all the tickets all the stuff you know with New York and La and stuff like that there is there are local fans who can fill up the arenas right not in in Brooklyn New York this year by Monday and Tuesday night. A lot of those fans local people that come in from New Jersey Long Island saying Tampa is not a hotbed for. She's it's not that big of a city that's true but for the select set of people that are gonna fly in and Philip the arena every night which by the way now is more and more nights. I think how things on Thursday now or river pushing back but for all of those nights. They're doing it I wonder if some of those diehard fans haven't just spent their travel budget. They're wrestling travel the the year by going to double or nothing like whatever like whatever A. W. Show they already winston or flying in Japan going to new Japan show right. I'm just saying there's a lot more options to travel and spend.

"And Mike Simple v on the sports byline broadcasting network work. The number is here wrestling observer live Mike Zimmer. Vp Jim Valley joining US funding mission. Is something here very quickly on the punk story that is that according to the observer they have met before Fox in San Punk and it was at least a week ago and W we already announced a couple of days ago the host for the show are Booker T. and Rene young this does not mean that can't be hired in work on the show but the show isn't debut in for five more weeks and so it is possible that punk was in negotiations and and it's not happening and that's why they made the announcement five weeks in advance that renee in Booker T. You're hosting the show. They didn't have to make that announcement. Now I mean there's tons ends of announcements. They're making for next week. They're just now making this week so it's not like they've never announced that the very last minute this is five weeks in advance so we shall see what happens but that's all of this could be nothing I mean he met with them about taking the job so that is something but he may not get get the job. You may not doing any hockey I want hockey for. CNN punk and he him to cover hockey not talk you get out of here. Come on I'm not there anywhere all right so INEX- t week to not well. It was all right one point point zero zero six million viewers smuggled unexpected. They stayed above a million. The show dropped twenty six percent in the eighteen eighteen to forty nine demo down to eighth place. The viewership was down fifteen percent so the audience drop was far greater. It was for raw which was only down three percent. This week and smackdown gained viewers from the previous week so I saw first off yesterday I asked why is only the second hour on the wwe network and and everybody explained to me well is because the whole show will be uploaded. I think they said at eight eastern something like that five Pacific Eighty Sir anyway as of as of midnight East Coast time on Friday. I still could not watch the entire show on the W network. It was still only the second hour so I'm not sure what they're doing in terms. It's probably up there now. I don't know but but I guess the point is like if you WANNA watch this show its entirety on Thursday. You may be waiting until Friday so I know that the idea was the INEX- t- replay was going to be on the network on Thursday but the whole thing was not up on Thursday as of yesterday now. If you have you could always record it like if you you really want to watch it you can record it. I guess I'M GONNA have to record it on Youtube. TV and then watch it the next day but minor inconvenience yesterday when I was trying to watch the show and and couldn't watch the entire thing but I eventually did. I thought the show was the first hour was very good and I thought that the second hour I don't want to say it fell off a cliff but that second hour just dragged it was a bunch of matches that they stretched out to get to an hour our multiple rest holds. I was falling asleep during an Oni Larkin Danny Burch match which will tell you something has never happened in my lifetime so obviously next week. Show is going to be a huge one. This was a show designed to build up next week. Show not every show is going to be a giant massive. You've exciting to our program but we'll see what happens with this head to head block. I'm going to be fascinated to see first television show because I have no earthly earthly idea what they're gonNA do and we've seen two weeks of an x t so I have a rough idea of what they're gonNA. Do we shall see what did you think of an xt. We'll start with you JIM. I agree I agree with you. They probably could've added. Maybe like a squash match or some sort of new character in that second hour. Just Kinda pad time I think it was it was kind of surprisingly boring for an extra usually everything in annexed t's very lean and has a purpose and it did feel like one of the few times were they added Filler and that was obvious and very odd for for Annex T. I expected the rating to be about a million next week I I think it's going to be about a point nine. These it'd be down next week per se W it'll be. Oh I think it'll be down a little bit and it's going to be curious where it is in a few weeks and if it's down how many of those Bryan Alvarez predictions everybody made fun of criticized Brian How many of those are GonNa come true. I I don't know quite a few of us really always come true every single one Mike. Did you see this show. I did you know I'll say this. The second hour is still better better than many syndicated wrestling hours from my youth so I'll take the there's ironic you say that because I watch a syndicated our from my youth immediately afterwards it was much better than that second hour of annex t sure I'm sure it was I guess but the miscellaneous been when it comes to wrestling on TV. TV always seems to be between one and one point four million viewers obviously impact being the greatest example of that of no matter what they did for a a long period of time no matter what was on against them they could not run off viewers. They were going to get the same rating and same number of total viewers roundabouts constantly no matter we week week after week. I'm wondering what the pool how it's going to grow and what exactly. It's going to settle that because I can't see I just don't know you know the first first week obviously high because everybody's going to be tuning in but once the thing settles then I wonder if we're going to be seeing eight hundred thousands and things like that and I I am also wondering because of the nature of cable TV sometimes we focus more on the rating than we really shouldn't because the new shows are going to dominate and we know that wrestling is is going to be O- other than mighty shows like you know in sports and things like that and you're American horror stories in your top tier shows wrestling's always GonNa draw enough total viewers where you can legitimize having it on so with that I think the thing to look at is going to be the demos because TNT TNT is all about that eighteen the personally I don't know playing towards younger fans who would be online and things like that so I wondering that demographic is going to be worth far more than any rating the total viewers in eighteen thirty four all I know is that I don't expect triple h to say anything different but he certainly not gonNA come on a conference call and say you know I wish it was only an hour but they're making me go to two hours but what he said was two hours is going to be better because with one hour we always felt rushed and I realized that's what you have to say but and I realize it's only been two weeks but so far far annex t does not need to be two hours. It is better as a one hour television show a pitcher. Jim and I saw the problem everybody can. It's been an old wrestling fan. Ninety minute show put half hour. US You're doing for Fox anyway mimic that with Scott Stanford and somebody else you're not paying do a USA one go ninety minutes and then have a wrap up show that ties all the other shows together. Do it that way go to the phones. You're on the air what's going on. Hey this is Chris from Brooklyn. I just wanted to say it would be an amazing coup for a you you could get punked. I do I do. You think if if he did come back. WWe And people would forgive and forget get and if his character was portrayed edgy enough and if he you know kind of went against everything everything he usually does I don't I don't think people would really hold it against them. Well I mean I think to agree. There's always going to be some people that would call him a sell out but I think that in general if he came back and they pushed him as a big star everybody would forget about it. Just think that's how it would go. I would totally lose some respect for punk. This person said if you went back to me just for the money but if he needs money if he needs a job why would you lose respect for the guy to for going back and making his money missing something he lost a lot of money in that lawsuit seven seven figures to the company though there's the thing where I think you know I got into a conversation with somebody about this about Mike Bennett where they fired me you will if you were in his position. Would you do what he's doing. In my answer is no and at some point everybody's got their own line their own personal line to draw and I get that and I'm not believe me. I'm not going to progress M for whatever he does is his life is his business. I really don't care but I I would be very surprised by it and again. Maybe I hold more of a grudge. Maybe I look at things a little bit more differently but I can get another job like I can do other things and sometimes I I think a lot of entertainers and pro wrestlers especially we saw this Roddy Piper crying tears out in that Hbo Bob Costas or whatever whatever it was years ago where or is the Bryant Gumbel show where you know what am I gonNA. Do you know what can I do at my age. Get a job yeah actually yes you can yes she can't maybe you can't live as opulent as you want to. Maybe it doesn't give you that Russia showed but you know what yeah actually he can and it's not that big of a deal all athletes have to do it. You're you're not special so he's got options and again I could see why people would lose some respect for him but with that said to think like that caller said that person e mailed or texted in said yeah I mean it's not it's only going to be a certain amount and as we go on obviously more people who are in the WWe universe cheer on Pumpkin eight eight. M Baffled Shane Versus Kevin Owens match next week is not an I quit match you would fit well. We're making our current fans. Happy and we're GONNA do something it makes sense in the story line. It's the Fox debut it's being pushed on all of these. NFL NFL broadcast and whatever they're trying to get new eyeballs there and believe me new eyeballs turning into smackdown. It's going to be a car crash. Ashamed McMahon falling off ladders match is going to attract your casual fans much more than they I quit match in the middle of the ring motive for life but you're not hiring resume hiring a person that's why indeed tools that help bridge the gap between the candidate and the resume.

"Six five one six four one one zero seven one why are we asking very Pacific reason, and literally and figuratively an Oregon. The manager of the world's all last blockbuster. In the world says it won't be closing anytime soon. Holding out literally one store the blockbuster store in a city near central Oregon became the last one the last one in the US last year, but it will soon be the only one in the world after the store in Perth Australia closes later this month, bend the bend. Oregon franchise will be alone. On the planet. That is. I mean, it's just so pilgrim pilgrimage there as I love strolling through the aisles of the blockbuster back in the day day. I'm sure, you know, I'm sure it will become a tourist attraction some ways because chains of you know, yesteryear have occupy a certain place in our memories. Our collective consciousness. And you know, they just bring back then the style and the fondness of an earlier simpler time when we walked to a building to get movies. And now we just click buttons. It's true. But but yeah, so that just got me thinking about like all of the wonderful things that have disappeared from our lives. But yet. You know, we think of fondly things like Shakey's pizza Shakey's pizza. The I was thinking that one earlier that was a huge delight as a child now there are still Shakey's out there in the world, but nowhere near us. Right. Six five one six four one one zero seven one if you could open any business from the past. What would it be six five one six four one one zero seven one? Should we go to the phones? Jennifer is on the line. Hi, jennifer. Hi, what I would bring back the the store. It was called a power, Minneapolis. And it was on Hannah Penn. And this was back in the eighties, and they sold like bobble earing San punk, clothes and stuff. You couldn't find anywhere. But at the store interesting. Yeah, it was it was just fantastic. Everyone was it the space for heartbreaker, then was no it was. So originally it was like twenty eight. Kindo? Sure. Wow. It mocked once. I think after that. So, but I I recall it being I'm like twentieth and Hennepin my gosh, okay? I gotta look gosh. I'm trying to remember that. Square. Thank you, not encounter square. But. Close the burger place and shakes. Diner? Is that what you're not up to diner? Across the street. It was called like not I'll figure it out. Is it the place that is next to the movie theater wasn't a Snuffy small shop? I don't think something like that. Okay. I don't know what you're talking about. He'll figure it out. Right. Let's go to Susan. Hello, Susan, if you could open any business from the past what would you bring back? Hi, susan. Hi, what would you bring them back? I would love to bring back archive rivers. Oh, what's that archive that like the store where you could buy stuff for scrapbooking? Yep. Scrapbooking and crap any kind of paper crafting I used to work at the Coon Rapids store, and we used to visit the mall of America store because of course, they had the more doer products. And then every year they would do the scrap best at the mall of America. And they bring in all these different crafters, Kim Holst, and and a bunch of other really crafty people and and show their tools and expertise. I really miss having that here in Minnesota. Yeah. Thank you very much Susan for your call. I I guess I like thought people didn't scrapbook anymore, but I'm dead wrong. Because I know that a lot of people still are purchasing that stuff. But there isn't like a dedicated store like a place like archives. Let's go to Mary. Hi, Mary, Mary if you could bring back any business from past. What would it be? Hi, Farrell's ice cream shop, and there was one in Brooklyn center. I think our Brooklyn park when we were growing up and wasn't the ice cream that you loved. Where does the atmosphere okay decorated need? And then they like we go over there. Forever birthdays. And they come out with this.
