"It this weekend and thanks for being with us hopefully you did get some time off for maybe maybe even got to see some of the snow this in our mountains look beautiful coming on the way in just the out in the distance see in them it you know as long as you brought your patience when you went out there beautiful pictures throughout our San Diego county itself you know people always think of that this is where I thought I would start the hour but people may have the misconceptions right I'm sure you all have it with your family or friends and they think all California isn't always sunny and hot and it's like oh no you can get to the mountains and see the snow in forty five minutes and you can get to the beach obviously and a half hour and you can get to the desert in our and you can get everything else you want and so it's that's why listen to the first hour that's why we're all still here in California because it is a great place it's just our politicians are well they're trying to keep us away from it or at least trying to get us out of here we talked about some of the bills the legislature that's coming down the pipeline here so minimum wage is going up let's like recap what is recapping here quickly minimum wage is going up rent control that we voted against two years ago still coming into consideration my personal favorite that you can't be suspended in schools now let's start in July first of twenty twenty but elementary schools middle schools and high schools view can no longer be suspended for disciplinary reasons so game on as far as just this operating teachers and also the state of California feels they know housing better so they're going to come and tell you where you can put houses which is this is going to make our communities not look as nice but you can blame that one on the state okay so I will just finish it up I got what do I get one to one or two more okay but here's a real doozy coming down the pipeline we've known about this one come in for a while still doesn't make it less crazy it's actually crazy to look and see this is they're really going to do this all California became the first state to provide taxpayer funded health care to adult illegal aliens governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill into law allowing illegal aliens between the ages of nineteen and twenty five coverage under Medicare al California's health insurance program for the poor disabled and now for those living in the country and state illegally beginning on January first two right we we shared yesterday and we may talk about the yeah we're gonna talk about the homeless a little later on how they're paying in other states for them the homeless I mean to come to California because we have all the resources they'll come if you're in New Jersey and you've got a homeless problem they're paying for a one way bus ticket and they're also kind of the burning like an advertisement agency for California essentially saying look at all the things the great things I've got better whether it's warmer out there and they've got these homeless shelters you get a roof over your head you get two free meals a day you don't have to have any responsibilities they don't care if you're if you're sober or not they've got all these things you get out of this they've also got the health care and they've got free this of free that you know it doesn't matter that it's the taxpayers paying for it it's all free to you so why don't you go to California now it's the same way with illegal immigration and I don't I don't know thank how how would the person from Arizona not just why wouldn't they just come here and get free health care or the person in Tijuana just run over and get free healthcare but I'm sure that's what'll happen so that's going to start at the beginning of the year so get ready for that despite ninety three percent of California's having healthcare and health insurance the California legislature Pat approve the tax to California citizens who do not buy health insurance creating the individual mandate took require Californians to purchase health insurance and impose a fine or failure to do so the people's court said the case back to the lower court to decide on how much of the rest the law can stand in light of the ruling striking the tax penalty so that's just our California one okay last one that stands out to me trust me there's actually a lot more bills and legislatures bad coming through our set our state and I should say I talked about this in the first segment the first hour of the show these lawmakers there's an incentive for them to pass bills right somebody once said what why are they doing this why why do they feel like they have to keep pushing laws upon us and it's it's because they need to go back to their to their voters and say look at all the wonderful things I did look at I was part of this bill and I helped write this one and I co authored that one and you know I'm out there making a change I'm out there you know do a wide doing what you asked me to do even if you're not and so that's why so there's a dozens upon dozens upon dozens of bills that are coming in in the new year it's a matter if you don't want them to keep doing stuff up in Sacramento they're going to continue to do so so here's the last one S. B. twenty four this is by senator Connie lively I don't know a Democrat from Chino requires student health centers on the university of California and cal state university campuses okay so you know UC San Diego UCLA whatever cal state San Marcos cal state whatever all the cal states all to use these requires campus student health centers to provide primary health care and medical abortions to students by January twenty twenty three so the legislature just passed so granted this one's not happening in the new year but by twenty twenty three they all have to get up to date they could start now they should start now is I'm sure with the lawmakers are saying but this is what they should do and this is what they're going to be required to do by twenty twenty three so welcome if you're new to California if maybe this is your first you're welcome bye just signed up for this don't know why you moved here but can Gratz and if you're here and you're like me and you've been living here your whole life we're doomed we just again I said it the other day we just have to explain these simple measures right the last one that we really did I didn't want to talk too much about courses SP five I know Mike's talked at length about just an awful bill truly an awful bill that gets rid of thousands of jobs for folks that's the the the gig economy one right the U. birds are all those ones the Lorraine Gonzalez bill truly an awful bill and the thing is if conservatives are going to have a voice in this state which they don't right now I'm sorry to I'm sorry to bring that news to you but when the state Senate and the state assembly have a super majority what no Republican candidate got over forty percent in the mid term there's yeah the mid term elections whether it's for governor and lieutenant governor secretary of state nobody gets over forty percent no Republican they don't have a voice when the San Diego city council is probably going to be seven two Democrat with the democratic mayor could be eight one honestly could be no it was the worst it could be would be eight one Chris Chris Cates not up for election he is a Republican but besides that it could be eight one or seven two so that's a super majority with the democratic mayor and a very progressive democratic mayor in talk Gloria if that's the case yeah it there needs to be some radical changes right and it starts with just explaining the simple ideas you know the Democrats to throwing softballs up when they're doing things like SP five which is taking the writers and freelance workers and all these people taking jobs away from them when they're raising minimum wage up that's putting businesses out that's actually making people lose jobs when they're not allowing suspensions at school so teachers are going to get berated and parents are going to be able to discipline their kids and all this these are simple things right it's not this is an abortion and you know gun control and all the you know some of these issues that have kind of wrapped in other issues going on these are simple these are simple you know if you live in Coronado this is simple do you want to stay coming in and saying you need a thousand more units or do you want local control thank you these are very simple things and this is what should be taught and this is what needs to be voiced in our state let the Democrats keep doing that they're going to anyway you can't stop on it in the meantime take note of every single thing they're doing simplify it you know it's just like sand I got is sandbag is going to be a godsend for the few Republicans that are still left in this county whether it's a you know that it's a supervisor race or rather it's you know local local city council races like San Marcos Carl's batter Vista or whatever it is the sandbag issue with the Democrats pushing for people to get out of their cars and wanting to tax them even more applicants need to just primarily run on that if I was running for Carlsbad city council as a Republican I would say Hey listen these Democrats what your your car and they don't want to relieve traffic you want to keep pushing the same they don't want to approve the projects and fund the projects that they promised that you're paying them the the tax for no they want buses and trolleys that don't have any function for us up your Carlsbad so we need to vote these people out and I'm gonna get the money to vote you know I'm going to give us the money to approve the projects that we already approved Duff you have to keep the the the topics simple and the Democrats are throwing lob balls you know softball's up there in and they need to just smack him out of the park and we need to keep these these issues simple and take what they're giving you so you've heard about all the things that are coming up you can try to tidy and in the near future as well we'll take a break still on that for a second happy new year from the state of California with all of that it will take a break and we'll come back we'll we'll get away from some of that talk about some of the issues wax to talk back yeah this may be a good time California's marijuana we talked briefly about it yesterday another thing that the state of California is messed up and will explain why when we come back here on a M. seven sixty talking breaking news mile symbol.

"From high school days. Days before the Senate vote, schedule Cavanaugh? Is that he was part of a rape dream. The guy the guy was a virgin till marriage or virgin through college. I remember the exact details. With the Catholic school doesn't mean it can happen. But. That is coming out now like this. We're living in a very bad time of the United States with the bad time is what is happening on college campuses, as you well know where people's freedom. Is people's freedoms or curtailed? The place that defends these people, and I've got just a college of the what was the name of the Baker again, my even met the man who wouldn't take the cake for the for the gay wedding Tyson. Can I have Tyson? He's not on. A hearing. Okay. All right. Jack dumps. Yeah. Jack phillips. That's right. So great guy. So you don't only work on the. Not only work. On campuses. You're a what is the latest case you're working on that we may or may not know of. So one of the things that I think people aren't aware of is just the the massive amount of money that that's taken from students and universities to student activities that are used to fund very progressive matters. And we're challenging the Cal State university policy currently, which is the largest university system in the nation. At San Marcos. Cal State, San Marcos state charge all students be correct about two point one million dollars from all students to mandatory it's supposed to be used to fund student organizations on campus, and there's about one hundred on campus there, and what they do is they take three hundred thousand dollars at the top and they get into the gender equity center and the DT pride center, and they find all sorts of speaking events and other events on campus to promote their correct us all other one hundred organizations thirty thousand dollars to split at a maximum of five hundred dollars the semester, they get to use to fund that speech. So what the supreme court has said, look if you're going to require students to pay mandatory fees to fund other people speech that they disagree with you have to do it in a few point neutral manner, and it's clearly not viewpoint neutral to find the favorite speech of the gender equity center and the pride center. And then tell everybody else, you know, you get you get what's leftover. And so we're talking about millions and millions of dollars a year that are being charged to Stevens at Ardy way in debt, and yet they can't even use those funds to fund their speeds because it's all going to progressive groups on campus. The gender equity center. Yes. What exactly does that mean that there's no such thing? As chapter. What does it mean? Well, it's it's they they had a hard time to find finding themselves. But essentially what they do is they they bring in they fund events like the pleasure party. And the pleasure party is where they're hiring outside sex experts come in and basically give about sex toys and educate the students on the various the use of these various toys, that's one of the bench their their primary than you ever hear the pleasure party. That's one of the things that they they use these mandatory fees for and yet Arclight the pro their students for life. They asked for five hundred bucks to fund a speaker to come talk about the important issue of abortion on campus from a pro-life perspective, and they were denied five hundred bucks because they said, well, we don't fund outside speakers. And we said, well, actually, you do you find a lot about that speakers gender equity center. But yet you won't fund is pro-life speech because you just wanted they say to that. They said well there Jeff where there are different. You know, we we've set them up there a center center, there part of associated students. The student government is the one who controls all those fun and nearly try to make a difference there. But there is no different their students making engaging and expressive activity, and when you have students engaging express, it, I you have to allocate those funds neutrally across the board without taking into account, you points, and that's clearly not happening there. And unfortunately, we challenge these types of policies throughout the country and consistently you see very very arbitrary allocations of funds and typically. Not funding the conservative and religious viewpoints. But putting millions of dollars a year into funding progressive. All right. Listen, you're you're you're one of my favorite organizations. Okay. Just what you know that and I would not allow fundraising and on the show if I didn't believe in that. It's the alliance defending freedom ATF, I'll give the number and so on thank you Tyson. Keep up the good work. Thanks so much. Appreciate your sport. Right. There's a banner at my website for AB F, one hundred dollars just simply helps a free speech on campus. And of course, the fed people like the man who would not bake a cake, not forget, he totally. He's always baked cakes for gays. He wouldn't bake a cake. In celebration of something he doesn't believe in which is the same sex wedding. In the United States that was honored throughout history. If you have a conviction listen during World War Two we honored the conviction of people who wouldn't fight Hitler and wouldn't fight the Japanese fascist. Because they believed in impassive ISM. That's. Let me tell you something not not to fight the Nazis because you believe it's wrong to kill is so immoral that it's mind blowing, but I would defend them as well. That's the that's America. We we allow the individual to have beliefs that is eroding. All right. So anyway, the banner is at my website for ATF or call eight hundred four six nine nine six five six. Mkx continue with the president's magnificent speech at the United Nations. By the way, he twice called out. Russia twice asking why why would Germany want to get all of its energy from Russia..

"Welcome back to the town hall review brought to you in partnership. With eighty app the alliance defending freedom on hughhewitt almost immediately from the time of. Donald Trump's inauguration his staff and candidate have been, badgered by quote, Russian collusion charges and then the president. Fired FBI, director James Comey and things. Got really hot the DOJ that appointed special counsel Robert Muller to investigate claims. Of Russian collusion the two thousand sixteen presidential election Kimberley strassel the Wall Street Journal has been following the investigation, the Steele dossier and the FIS a warrant issues each and every step. Along the way she was a guest of Dennis Prager from where and when did the accusation of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia begin what remains one of. The great mysteries and it's one of the problems we have an unraveling, all, I, mean look we we have some very clear evidence about, where part of it came from we know for instance that the clinton campaign and the democratic national committee hired this opposition research firm called fusion g._p._s. which in turn hired this former am i six officer to put together the infamous dossier and that dossier contains a lot of the claims for which this entire theory narrative has since been based and made the rounds for the past two years i think the bigger question is when did this gain currency within government was entirely because of the dossier or was it because there were democratic activists and participants in the obama administration who will whispering it and pushing it to the f._b._i. did those com via the clinton campaign to the obama officials where exactly was the genesis within government and that's an important part because we wouldn't be talking about any of this if the government hadn't chose to act on that Theory obviously with FIS of warrants and other investigatory measures against the Trump campaign why would the, Hillary campaign believing it was inevitably. Going to win do this well all campaigns go about? Opposition research you and I both know that so at first this was a straightforward Otto research job I think what happened though remember as they saw an. Opportunity in that the Trump campaign, talking about Hillary Clinton's emails which were deleted and the question of whether, or not anyone that got their hands on them for instance Wiki leaks or the Russians and the Clintons thought aha well why why is the Trump campaign talking about the Russians maybe there's something to be done looked into in terms. Of his Russia's ties and that little kernel of a thought grew into the epic dossier and collusion arguments what did you do About. The Feis warrant look here's a main takeaway for everyone who's listening? Today which? Is, this that go back to February. And Devin newness the head of. The house intelligence committee put out a memo and it. Was fourteen paragraphs long and? It made a couple of really devastating but important claims he had looked at that FIS of warrant and he said I am reporting back that a doc- a made up an essential. Part of, the information that the f. b. i. relied on, to. Get, this? Warrant be the court the FIS a court was? Not told about where the dossier, came from it was not told that it had come from the rival political campaign and see they had, used, a news article. That was out there I had actually, been given to the news or spy Christopher Steele as like a circular corroboration of the dossier, so they were relying on their source twice and presenting it as new information to the court and these are the main claims it point-by-point shows every one of those claims to be. True, what newness has said about the way the FBI, played fast and loose with the court is absolutely correct I. Believe that the top echelons of the FBI probably got it into their head that they were, somehow saving the country from some terrible threat they and they. Alone and decided they would do whatever it, took to get, these warrants and they did not tell the truth I mean they they relied on a phony document to get the warrant and they did not tell the truth about. Where that document came from various centers of power all across the country. Are exercising privileges that were not intended to be their government agencies of all stripes are now in the crosshairs of those who are defense Citizens from harmful discriminatory judgment fortunately there are organizations like the alliance defending freedom. Or ATF specialize in helping the. Powerless overcoming actions of the powerful my colleague Larry elder spoke with lawyer Tyson Lang Hoffer who was serving with ATF focusing on first amendment freedom on public university campuses. Tyson I understand there's a case going on right here in my home state of California tell us about it we represent students for life and. Nathan Apodaca lawsuit against administrators at Cal State San Marcos Cal State as a student fee, system where they they require students essentially. To pay, student, activity fees on top of the tuition that they pay, student could defeat there are supposed to go to fun student expressing activities funded activities a student, organizations and when students apply for a grant to receive some of those funds they were denied you you can't use those funds to bring in a outside speakers Well Nathan knew he looked at it as well I know that. That these other groups are bringing in outside speakers and so what we found out is that the university. Is allocating, he's five that are very discriminatory manner other funding a lot of these leftist groups with large amounts of money and denying it to other groups. Who want to bring a. Different, perspective. To campus so Tyson Lehnhoff they lied yeah absolutely what, happened is when we when we looked at it we found out that the gender. Equity center and the and the pride center there there's about two. Point, one million dollars that comes in every year Activity allocated by by the student government ASI each university campus SI the. Funds I allocate three hundred. Thousand, dollars. That two point one million to the gender equity center, into the pride center all other one hundred student groups have to split thirty thousand. Dollars and they're they're limited to match five hundred dollars per semester Wow Obviously it's much easier for the gender equity and the price center to get their message out because they have about ten times the amount of fun to do the activities that they wanna. Do and yet all these other groups are, told you can't do those activities and they're frankly don't even have the stunts to do them and you know that that's unfair and it's. Unconstitutional the supreme court has made it very clear that if a university is going to impose activity on, students which requires them to fund, expression that they disagree with, that have to do it under a, viewpoint neutral policy and clearly funding to grips with three hundred thousand. Bucks and then all other groups are thirty thirty grand to split that that's not the point neutral. Tyson I'm not sure if people realize how active alliance defending freedom. Is you guys have litigated something like nine victories at the supreme court in the last seven. Years are you played a role in about fifty four victories at the supreme? Court you have a winning rate of about eighty percent. Tyson you've been a partner at a law firm for Long time why did you get involved in the alliance defending freedom. I got involved because I recognize that our, first of freedoms are on the line and you know I got five children and my desire is that my children are able to experience. The same freedoms that I have the first amendment is is absolutely critical for protecting the ability to speak, freely for protecting the to exercise, religion and what I'm saying, is our freedoms are being slowly eroded, and it absolutely scares me to death because I see these policies. Like the student that Casey Cal State San Marcos which are slowly taking away our ability to really. To express ourselves freely so that's why I left my practice and and joined eighty s because I truly believe in what we're doing and we provide free legal, services to these students to stand up for not only their personnel rice but? For the first of all at the university campus regardless. Of their viewpoint coming up the democrat identity problem They want to make this election about, Vladimir Putin they do but he's, not on the ballot, Michael Medved when the townhall review returns in a moment This is John McCullough if I asked what the invisible disability is would you. Say hearing impairment hearing impairment has been linked to dementia falls and depression and the weird. Thing is nobody including me wants to admit they. Have it the cruise experience, has.
