Parents Sue Father Accused of Hiding Kristin Smart's Body

"College student Kristin Smart have sued the father of the man charged with killing their daughter nearly 25 years ago. The lawsuit says smarts body was buried in Ruben Flores, his backyard and that he moved it under cover of darkness to another location after investigators searched his property in February of 2020. That mirrors claims made by prosecutors this week when they charged Reuben Flora's with being an accessory after the alleged murder. He was released from custody yesterday after posting $50,000 bail. Son, Paul Flores is being held without bail. He's accused of sexually assaulting and murdering smart in 1996 on the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus, where both were freshmen. Lawsuit against Ruben Flores seeks damages for intentionally causing emotional distress by helping his son cover up the crime. It says Flora's God help moving the body from two unnamed accomplices who will later be added as defendants in the case.

What are some things that they need to consider so that they can be prepared long term. It's sort of like having a savings account right. The Timothy Leary Conviction

The Timothy Leary Conviction

"On january twenty first nineteen seventy former harvard professor and so called priest of lsd timothy. Leary was sentenced to ten years in prison on drug smuggling charges but in september of that year. The fifty year-old academic broke out of a san luis obispo facility with the help of the weatherman. The daring escape only added to the mystique of the man president. Nixon wants declared the most dangerous man in america. But just what made leery so dangerous. Well it might not surprise you. That richard nixon may have been exaggerating for his own political game according to authors. Bill minna tag. Leo and stephen l davis nixon's advisors suggested he find a public enemy to distract the public from his own flagging approval rating the war in vietnam and the struggling economy. They leary a prominent figure in the counterculture movement and because the former professor was a proud exponent of hallucinogenic drug use. The president's ir fit right in with his war on drugs narrative timothy leary was something of a self appointed spokesperson for the benefits of drug use. Which heat enjoyed since one thousand nine hundred sixty after an experimental magic mushrooms trip. The already noted psychologist became excited about the possibilities. Mushrooms and similar drugs had on the human brain during his tenure. At harvard he conducted academic experiments on the effects of hallucinogens. Drawing the attention and admiration of other notable nineteen sixties figures famed authors. Like gin berg and jack kerouac willingly participated in leary's experiments and it was perhaps their involvement that catapulted the professor onto the national stage before long leary was touring the country speaking about his research and reportedly brushing up against the rich and famous inevitably a backlash arrived. Leary's teaching colleagues criticized his experimentation with lsd. They believed research of that. Nature should be left to medical doctors not psychologists meanwhile psychology experts who once lauded leary's earlier work now made it clear that his drug centered experiments were less praiseworthy. Despite these blows leary insisted that taking lsd was quote a sacramental ritual one that could expand human consciousness. Harvard university did not agree and fired him in nineteen sixty three but by that stage leary had a new life. He was a counterculture touchstone for the masses and a legitimizing scientific voice in the pro drug movement. He rubbed shoulders with marilyn monroe and sang with john. Lennon and yoko ono in short he was a powerful voice advocating for drug use throughout the nineteen sixties. He even appeared before a senate committee to argue in favor of legislation. That would make it legal for adults to use hallucinogenic drugs. So when richard. Nixon assumed the presidency in nineteen sixty nine leary was squarely in his sights. Ostensibly nixon wanted to eliminate drug use in the country. Leary very much did not. That made him dangerous. So it's little surprise that when leary's appeal of his nineteen sixty five drug-smuggling conviction was overturned. The government wanted a second bite at the apple but any joy nixon and his cabinet might have felt in putting leary. Away was short lived using his network of contacts. The former professor escaped prison remaining on the run until nineteen seventy three when he was detained in afghanistan and sent back to the united states. There he was jailed in the notorious folsom. Prison and briefly befriended charles manson and though his sentence was for ten years leary was paroled in nineteen. Seventy six having served just three. It's a surprising twist day given that so many drug offenders imprisoned for decades on similar offenses then again timothy leary was famous and white which might have had something to do with his early release

"The Washington Post San Luis Obispo California hello yes hello I'm wondering what staffer what do you do besides go to the press in Washington my daughter has just left there after working for a problem that senator and could not get through with her problems at all the only thing she could have done was go to the press and she chose not to do it out of respect for him so she had a story to tell but out of respect for the person she works for she didn't tell the truth okay well SO terror Reid was asked about this and she said I think that's my mom but I haven't heard your voice in a long time so I can't be sure but it fits everything including this little tidbit that particular episode Google has removed you can now find the episode before it in the episode after but the episode August eleventh nineteen ninety three has suddenly vanished so not only is the press not asking any questions now Google is altering history this is so incredibly dangerous now if you didn't hear the accusation we have the terror read audio we don't have that would have had if there we don't have any idea minute but like like this is what we know if she had made a sheet initially made accusations of basically our hair sniffing right I like that that initial and gentle fondling right remember this from when there was like seven women that came out and made the initial allegations she was among that group she later made these much more serious or you know much more you know I mean really if the sole Rafic and yeah it is an assault there is anybody who is covering this there's not there's very few some are who are sympathetic to Joe Biden are just saying that it was fondling which is bad enough by the way but it is not if you listen to what she said is not the new allegation is is a legitimate absolute sexual assaults and yet you know you look at that what's fascinating about this is you know you as you point out Glenn readers of the intercept are the ones digging these videos up not CNN who you know it was on their network they have the archives they hadn't even talked about this and when they finally did have to write a story about this particular allegation you know especially given the fact it was on their network it occurred on CNN they let it with you know Biden's accuser did at blah blah blah blah I thought to myself if you weren't read C. N. N. for your news he's accused of what how would you even know what he was accused of you haven't covered at all so it is amazing to watch them flail around and ignore this when this just this piece of evidence from Larry King is an infinite amount of of more evidence that they had a break cabin on any point you know this is Mike Ashley this is actually knoll that that here and I I I'd heard differently about her mom's comments in that I I her mom's voice and that she said that was my mom's voice that is what I had read earlier I'm not exactly sure one of the I don't know but maybe mine was earlier than what you read yeah but either way it meant it you know this is a a serious serious thing with as we learned during the whole you know FBI James co Kobe that thing that holds issue it was contemporaneously notes that were important right just the fact that he wrote down notes at the time of this incident and proved it here's a call from the mom a concerned mom trying to figure out in ninety three ninety three you know right around like I it is the amount of this if this happened with another for a another Republican type this would be the only thing they be talking about for months and they won't even discuss it at this point it's it's embarrassing well let me just go through let me just show you the duplicity here September sixteenth two thousand eighteen within minutes of The Washington Post story outlining Blazey Ford's claim that Kavanagh sexually assaulted her at a high school party more than three decades earlier The New York Times immediately published a story stating that Kavanaugh's nomination was in turmoil CNN reported the news immediately with an article and then another one likening it to Anita hill then another one describing the white house's mounting an intense effort to squash the accusation then CNN did another one describing a senator's assessment of how Kavanaugh's nomination would go forward and then finally another one all in the same day describing how Democrats would push for a delay in Kavanagh's confirmation vote then March twenty fifth twenty twenty this is the day this this story broke it happened all at once and then his hands were on me underneath my clothes he said come on man I heard you like me for me it was like everything shattered I wanted I wanted to be a senator I didn't want to sleep with one she said she told her brother as well as your mother and a friend about the incident at a time meanwhile as that story broke CNN wondered why is Bernie Sanders Sanders still running for president that's the story they ran with the New York times published a story that day explaining that Biden was growing impatient with the idea of more debates with Bernie Sanders let's see you go back to Cavanaugh this is September seventeenth so this is day two Chuck Schumer calls for an FBI background investigation into claims against Cavanaugh we need the FBI to step forward to ensure that the Senate in American public have complete information about this troubling alleged incident before the hearing is held CNN calls the Ford accusation a watershed moment for the GOP the Huffington post ran a story quoting Biden saying women's claims of sexual assault should be presumed to be true for a woman to come forward in the glaring lights of focus nationally you've got to start out with the perception that it leaves the essence of what she's talking about is real whether or not she forgets facts whether or not it's been made worse or better over time but nobody fails to understand that this is like jumping into a cauldron day two of the terror read incident Jimmy Kimmel interviewed Biden and they talked about where's Waldo Schumer spoke on the Senate floor touting the new green deal saying that roof Republicans refused to admit that climate change is real and CNN teased an upcoming CNN town hall with Joe Biden the read accusations are not discussed on air in the neck right networks preview coverage by should just point out they were never addressed this goes on day after day you compare what day one day two day three day fifteen they are complete opposites I knew about the Cavanaugh stuff and I found out about it from conservative media I knew about what our accusations were I knew all of it from conservative media this is the one thing that we tend to forget our friends and neighbors who don't watch fox news don't listen to talk radio they actually are very ignorant not self imposed ignorance they are very ignorant of many stories and that's because they get filtered news it's why I always say read the other side read The New York Times watch CNN although it's intolerable don't watch CNN we can't watch CNN but received the Huffington post you should at least know what people are talking about on the other side and we found this out to be true with friends who are liberal after Barack Obama left office we went through with member reverie as pets all we went through chalk board of all the different stories that B. he had said where was his corruption and we put all those stories down and story after story said I didn't know that I never heard that story I didn't know that happened and they were all verifiable stories but he had no idea and he was being really honest he's a very smart guy he's in the media and he was being honest I never heard that because he never listens to talk radio he doesn't read concert he didn't at the time read conservative websites and he didn't watch fox news so of course he doesn't know anything bad about Barack Obama of course you're not going to know anything about Joe Biden that's why this is so dangerous not only because half of the country doesn't understand look you may disagreed with the points on fox news or you may disagree with the points on CNN but you should at least know what the other side is claiming and then use your head especially now when they've been proven to be wrong about so much on the other side the stakes have just gotten worse because the internet is forever in last Google decides it's not when Google decides to alter its algorithms or to edit and archive anything can happen for anything didn't happen if you catch my meaning Nancy Pelosi came out and I'm gonna talk about this probably next hour if we have time Nancy Pelosi came out this weekend and said Donald trump's ban in China did not go far enough now this is the same woman who called him a racist and a xenophobe the minute he put the ban on Chinese travel then she came out a couple of days later and said we're going for sanctions on this president his Xena phobia and his racism has got to stop the only reason she can now make the claim that he didn't go far enough he is because she knows the mainstream media will never go excuse me you said this and if the public doesn't know history I mean recent history if it doesn't understand what just happened because nobody made a big deal out of it they they can not be held responsible for what they're doing now in this particular time and place every American has to be held responsible because if you don't get it yet you never will you are just an irresponsible human being if you don't if you aren't at least concerned about the way media handles the news and more than just fox news bad CNN good you're you're responsible American that's self imposed ignorance and that you are completely and one hundred percent totally responsible for in the end no excuses when the news is it your finger tips all right let me talk about relief factor holy cow I worked I worked this weekend like nobody's business I don't think I could be able to move today had I not been on release factor I went out we painted three barns we we did work on we were cutting trees down and chopping wood in a grinding stumps I mean it was a never ending weekend of everything that makes my condition flare no problem I mean I was sore afterwards but I would expect to be sore afterwards no problems white relief actor release factor has worked miracles in my life really truly miracles I don't think I mean stew used to see they would I mean there were times that they would carry me off of a plane because I couldn't I couldn't move I couldn't function bad really really bad not now and it's all due to relief actor I can't thank.

"And to San Luis Obispo California Randy great to have you Sir hello yeah hi rush good to talk to you again string see I know what you're going through listen I I I you know this thing with a corona viruses has struck me is is that we don't really know what the denominator is I'm a physician and and you know whenever you're talking about statistics you always got a note the denominator is you know is there and in in this case we know about the fatalities but we don't know about the real number of people that are carrying the virus I mean it may be that a large number of people carrying the virus so in the end and if the if that denominator gets really big then the fatality rate you know from this disease really drops there's no doubt that it's a dangerous and nasty disease but the fact is is we need that number and one of the ways to do it would be to just bite the bullet and chest everybody in the country you know just go do enable swab and everybody and then at least you have the numbers you have the number of the denominator and then you can see whether Hey is this really highly fatal disease or is this something that's not any more fatal than the common flu and in which case we already kinda have targeted you people we know that the the fifty in particular the sixty enough age group are the higher target people it may be that that that holds out the same and so you know that's how you combat fear and panic as you actually come in with numbers and statistics and knowledge and wait a minute the US zeroed in on something let me ask you a question yeah I am and if you think the silent majority would would like to have the knowledge and would like to avoid a panic but I think that as yours I think indicating that there are a large number of people who all those people have nothing to say about who's getting tested or not this is this is a government opera by the way was about getting tested I didn't think we had enough test kits to test very many people what yeah that definitely can be it is a limiting factor but I mean it still you can at least take you know a large swath of the population and test them all E. ideally you want to test everybody but of course it's gonna be limited by the number of test kits that you can get available to you still could test you know large amount even if it's a million I think they talk about having four million test kits available that are gonna be available soon you know if you tested for million and it turned out that of that four million you know maybe two million you know have the virus but in fact you know two million and you divide the the number of deaths deaths by that two million you say well gosh it's really a very low number you know and it's it's really not anymore you know deadly van the flu and and and this is not to say not to use good public health you know standards like what you're talking about trying to limit congregational on current large crowds but you know maybe you don't have to eat but the economic effect of this is gonna be so big as it is you know I mean from you know all these things are being canceled you know the economic effect by the way speaking of at the university of Wisconsin has just been canceled until April the tenth yeah I mean it it's it's a huge amount of money you're talking about and the cost is a lot of learning that's not gonna happen either pardon it's a lot of learning it isn't going to happen the university has been canceled since actor until April tenth yeah well yeah and and using all kinds of this and and how much of the economic effect and if you went on your test everybody would cost a lot of money to be one time saying you've you've you have a much better handle on what your real number is as far as fatality rates and then you could make some more reasonable you know guided you know plans and as such I mean you you you you cancel a lot of these concerts now that are either predominantly young people that go to them and in fact those are the people that you know it's a very very low fatality rate right now so so maybe you don't have to cancel all those those those concerts the young people go to I'm just you know I'm just saying you don't know if you don't have a number and and right now we don't have a number no we don't and that serves the political objectives of quite a few people very very I don't know if we don't have the number we can say it's whatever we want to say we can projected to be as bad like I just saw governor Insley of the state of Washington and going through a mathematical progression and with a bunch of ifs Ryan if there isn't any of this trip this week and have we could have we could have if there's ever four million ways what I'm doing what are you talking about here well if it if it happened if if and then they brought the well his math is right what we don't know if anything else is that is right but but that's the denominator yeah that that many may be it may be due to infected but if if that means infected that actually says well this isn't as lethal disease as we thought because we know what they we pretty much know the fatalities that's a number you can you can measure I mean we we have a pretty much with which one nobody's talking about the number of recoveries Dr well you're you're you're right and I mean I hear it every once in awhile but it's kind of always kind of like a side comment at the height of some some some you know fear mongering and and and and you know Intel you have those numbers and and we could get better numbers only half I mean you know I I you know ideally you want test everybody okay you can't test everybody but you test a very large number and that could really you know really give you an idea as far as point police Dr it's an excellent point thank you very much for calling operation sadly out of time yeah I just saw there's a TV commercial for the Harvey Weinstein Walker but you can buy now.

"Kind enough to sit down and talk to us for tweet and truth be told here at the UFO Congress Congress Twenty nineteen now. This guy is going to talk about the San Luis Valley. which is one of the most interesting hotbeds of all kinds of strangeness? Going on in America right when you say what's the that's pretty much. Well if you've been some years yeah I moved there in one thousand nine hundred nine and and was there until two thousand and two and over the space of ten years I investigated over a thousand UFO sightings two hundred or so a gallon beliefs cases chooses the haunted site investigations Sion's either. Now I don't buy into that. Let's see eleventh most active latitude line. But WHO's counting. I just want someone touting right after Yup was the unofficial deputy weirdness five candies Number right there dispatch and never somebody would call. With some weird citing animal relations nations directly would see the cattle mutilation yourself ads. What were you saying? Well I was involved in. Actually several studies conducted by the Pine Land biophysical laboratory and I also bird dog cases for The New York State Veterinary College You know worked with A number of scientific organizations of invented pathologist I I I look at these types of phenomena events from a A dispassionate sort of always assume a Monday and explanation before you know jumping off journalism extraordinary explanation a lot of people around here start art there and it's always like let's start with start on the ground run out of explanations. Then we'll see we'll Monday explanation until the facts accent evidence to prove otherwise but I'm for ten years I I did put three hundred thousand miles on my truck. Six seven years I covered a lot of territory. Ten Thousand Square miles the salaries valley's largest Alpine valley in the United States in the world. And it's about one hundred geologically. It's about a hundred and fifty miles long but seventy miles wide the giant football shape totally totally surrounded by mountains The valley floors between seven and seven thousand five hundred feet and in the mountains rise up to fourteen thousand feet around it in. It's extremely remote. Has Some of the most interesting sub cultural belief systems and weird isolated communities have been so you know kind of developing on their own for native American Yeah and Red Haired Blue Eyed Spanish Hispanic. He's all going back to the cookies. So it It's a very interesting place. I think there's a variety intensity of unexplained experience were unexplained phenomena there. That's unrivalled anywhere in America at least hand. Yeah I've I've done everything from investigate. Trooping fairies leprechauns vacation with some breeds of just this poor black Titi every type of crafts. You can describe or prairie dragons. Dogs ugh chase the chance increases right along the ground Just so many different types of those are just sightings writings. What about like these like the cattle mutilations you actually have a body and you can look? We'll give us a strange example of one of these doesn't have the mundane quick explanation. Well he the That's two hundred About one hundred and forty those I would I would say were maybe explain it. Away is unusual scavenger action they. They were critical in other words. I I wouldn't bet any money that they were strange. But you know sixty at leaves about sixty of them at Uh for between forty and sixty. I think that were that was strange. it looked like somebody actually did it to that. Animal with a sharp implement climent but out of those about seven eight maybe nine. That's not much scares me and keeps me up at night but those those made me think is it because this with the laser Cuarto and the eyeball mess and that kind of stuff certain typical well. Yeah that's that's a classic mutilation would be defined as livestock. It's is dead for no apparent reason. missing soft tissue organs other Genitalia. Maybe on the rear end the reproductive track is pulled out like a giant giant plug. An is gone maybe an ear patch of flesh seems to be caught off in a square circle or sometimes even their triangle. One day next is weird stuff. Well why are you doing to a cop right well. Yeah and and and Written a whole book about this. It's the only single book that is sums up a single entire category paranormal Kanawha. Which I'm very proud of? It took me twenty years to be searching eighteen months writing. There's twelve different databases in there. Yeah you've you have an enormous database and you also. I think one of your conclusions was that perhaps it's not that they're studying the cows but perhaps they're studying the region and the climate the environment we're due for the the. The place seems to be important not the animal. Although some animals are important For instance the sacred cows of India the BRAHMA which are the floppy ears the White Hump you see wandering around in Indian villages India's and the Far East Those animals animals considered sacred by the by the by the Hindi. PTO LOGIN and you're allowed to do whatever they want. They wet nurse them. Women will take because orphaned calf in breastfeed it to keep it alive. There's nursing homes for cows. COW's so it's considered good luck for cowed. Come inside your house. Awesome crab in your living room inside an in so you obviously India because it doesn't Eating Beef high-heels like the alternate sin is highly forbidden hence only two hundred fifty something Z.. McDonald's with no with no mammogram by funded very interesting that out of all the thousands and tens of thousands of cases the mutilations that have been reported around the world in Christian countries. Only that I've not been able to find single case of Brom B. Mutilated yes always these hybrid cows right never purebred com. There's tons of pure bred. Cows never never sacred cure asks a huge clue that to me. Was the most important clues that we have an anomaly. Like that to me is very strong too. I won a couple. Something comments there was one hybrid Brahma and it was an equivocal case. I I I don't think it was an actual relation case. I think it was scavenged. I have looked believe me. I have looked calm through all the databases. All of your eyes and ears open for Obamacare's there's never been one cases of three thousand pounds symbols. You couldn't get within a half a mile. Even get into passionate thing tried knock truck over this thing found missing. It's it's testicles You know the the durant you said you know. I couldn't even go on the damn pass with his saying whoever had the balls to go take this animals balls all. That's saying a lot of balls the times but no puberty cows had been lady but it is in the pure pure. Here's breathe the less likely. It is for the animals will be found in in Rela- condition with one exception some of the most ancient strains trains of beef cattle in North America. which are direct descendants of cattle? That were here. In the fifteen sixteen hundred vite Spanish related and selected to be new landed around the area on the manual Gomez ranch so there are exceptions awesome obviously has a lot of activity. That's one of the hot spots. It's forty miles from San Luis Valley People Forget So you know the whole home relation Mystery always fascinated me because pounds physical evidence left behind and it's my least favorite thing to do in life Aw I've really had to burn close because of cadaveric discussing the smell of rotting flesh is the molecule cadaver. I mean the smell of rotten garbage is pure seen science fans out there But there's been a few times over and said you are not coming in this house. You're taking a shower cold shower. I'll hold the hose. Here's some so Saito's close we're GONNA burn them so yeah well. It happened a few times. So those are the cases you don't like to do. I try to get to cases obviously obviously within the first twenty four hours after. That is really nothing that you can do I A- forensically To find out anything scientifically about the animal. Because it's too far gone for you. Know for crime lab or for veterans with all just to do anything except be really pissed at you trying to send him samples That really really smell up his lab smell office. Whatever so you know we have had some studies that have been done? I was involved in one study. That's actually the whole old investigation was filmed by a comedy show from the BBC. Called Louis throws weird weekends They came came all the way out to cover me in punk me. Basically and Because I'm smarter than they are. "At the San Luis port to process Central American migrants is punishing border communities and Aaron at large. Imagine waiting eight hours a night in the lines. At these San Luis port of entry than working eight hours a day in you must farms, so they'll just go see their family and eat on the net. Go get back in line to get over. And then they'll sleep till we go back to work at six o'clock, Huma farm. Rick sellers calls that the norm in his winter harvest workers compete with soaring, commercial and migrant activity state Representative Russ Jones can hardly see his family in Mexicali. Just a seventy five minute drive west. It's very difficult to get across and go. Visit is casually. You have to really kind of plan it in advance. Because you know, you're going to now in a line trying to come home. And if crossers give up on waiting in long lines, San Luis mayor Jerry Sanchez says they're not shopping in his city, we depend on sales tax. We don't have property taxes. We've seen sales tax go down businesses have been closing because the Kansas state. They all agree. A fixed must have several components mayor. Sanchez wants a bigger port first, and then asylum laws tightened just because I'm not doing well in my country does not justify political silent. "Because it's scary people are scared, and there's all kinds of legal questions around that too. But one day, we'll we'll have that happen. And we might be we might be there quicker than we think we heard numbers like seven to ten years. Let's go Scott in San Luis Obispo ball. Scotty, welcome to the program. Good to have you with us George again, look again. Hello ola. You know, what I was just curious robotic labor in. Let's see I just read a report just before he call by twenty to thirty to the United States is going to lose forty percent of its job care UK. Thirty percent, Germany, thirty five Japan twenty one. What do we do with the loss of jobs in the future? I do know that San Francisco came up with an idea last year to tax company heart using robots, but you know, it's the cost of human labor and the cost of overhead. So and he's a small business owner, I'm becoming more attractive of, you know, finding a company that can give me about to do my work place. So I don't know, you know, how how our business owners going to be able to. I know I it's it's gonna be very expensive to fly for living decline. Did you get a piece of that before he broke up? Yeah. I think I think I got it. So Scott, I think you asking super important question here. And you know, if if we just leave it to just pure economics efficiency gains for business owners, and obviously we're going to continue seeing automation robotics, and in in pretty much every business, but you know, there there's a couple of different aspects to this too, right? Which is that, you know, humans can actually do a lot of things much better than a machine. We don't talk about that. Because we're too busy being threatened by robots and all the things that robots could do that we can do. But there are some things that you know, they can't do and it starts with something. Very simple. Like, you know, the the index charity that you have in your hand. Right. When you're grabbing things in your in your store, knowing how to grab things knowing how to handle them intimately tied into like your intelligence in your brain. Right. The body and the brain are really one when it comes to. Intelligence. So that's something that some very notable scientists and engineers here at UC Berkeley. For instance, say they've been spending thirty years on trying to figure out how to get a robot to grab with the same sensitivity that we can't right? There's many many things though, even just in the brain proper like being able to plan on multiple time horizons and levels, having empathy, you know, motivating stimulating people inspiring people exercising. Good business judgement so much there that humans can do that robots. Can't do as well. Yeah. And we need to make sure that the business models that, you know, people like our friends Scott are employing in their business that they capture some of that human value to and yeah, we'll see automation. But, but if we bake the human into those business models than we can we can still get to what we call a good positive symbol intelligence symbiotic intelligence between both we'll robots ever show anger Olaf. You know, I think they'll mimic anger, right? So there is there is a there are many institutes actually around the world that are looking at how humans and robots react emotionally to each other. And how they understand each other. And they're trying to teach robots to to mimic human emotion, and then, mimic empathy. So we'll definitely get to that. But you know, they won't be able to feel emotion authentically until they have a body and anything close to, you know, a human existence because you know, they can't feel pain bio chemically the way the way we can. And so, you know, once once we get to maybe like, a blade runner type future where you have replicant that look and sound and feel like humans, you know, it's gonna be really hard for robots to authenticate feel emotions. Let's go to Aaron in the state of Washington gets you in before the break, Aaron go ahead. Oh, hi. Yeah. I think event you can call. I think that during the government lay off they're going to wire the government, and aren't there people? Alive today with half a brain. Thank you. I don't know what he was coming onto here. But there are a lot of people would just half a brain. Well, you know, and that that gets me to think of of, you know, one of our examples in the book, a company called brain Q out of Israel. You know, the Israelis are phenomenal with with digital. And a lot of these startups come out of the military research area, and these guys can use to analyze brainwaves and how different neurons in the brain of firing at each other, and they can figure out which ones aren't firing anymore and keeping you from using body functions. Like moving your arms, right? You can see easily like soldiers in the field that got hurt and and have trauma, and they are able with that information to rewire some of those parts of the brain, which is which is phenomenal. And we're just now at the beginning of that development while we're getting there. It's it's dramatic. If you had your choice. Yes, or no artificial intelligence. Silence or leave it behind. What would it be? Oh, I definitely off artificial intelligence. I think it's it's the next to rising a good thing. And I will be back in a moment with you. We'll take final phone calls in just a moment. "And do trade school. You a much better to start? Twelve or thirteen or fourteen which doesn't mean that you tell twelve year old, you're a plumber, this is your life. But at least when you like like if you especially if you just don't like academics. And a lot of kids don't to say, hey, we're gonna go and expose you to ten or twenty different plausible career options. And let's see whether anything looks good to you. Next up. We got Scott in San Luis Obispo. Let's get you in here Scottie. Go ahead. Look your till O'Brien. I was I was I had a privilege ago Oxford University, and that's not why with calling you know, I was calling about if you went to school twenty years ago, and he went to school today. There's a complete difference between textbooks and ipads, for example, writing a research paper today would be on a laptop and not going to library were twenty years ago. You had to go to the library and you had to pull up a microphone sharia to look at the roller. And you hand wrote the thing you did George, and you know, what I fear is that we're losing skilled hands on skills of yesterday and kids are don't understand what a payphone is. They don't understand what a typewriter is. But you know, hands on schools some of these elite schools like where I went to our hands on. But I. I think technology needs to step aside a little bit. Would you trust going to a doctor was gonna operate on you and you find out maybe thirty forty percent? The dedication was done online. Get his hands on schools to operate. Just give me an example. Because I think it's important that we need to teach kids you'll ways other than advancing and multitasking Brian in how many people, Brian, for example, young kids can't do basic basic subtraction. And addition without a calculator. Yeah. Nevermind kids like there's plenty of adults who can't do it. Plenty of people have trouble doing it with a calculator. So like people liking basis skills a serious problem. And again, like if you don't have basic skills, and you don't really know what to do with the computer in order to get to the answer. So you need to have found Asian for yourself in order to be able to use that stuff. You know on the other hand, I would say that. I mean, I don't see what's so great about physically going to a library versus downloading the articles or the books on ipad. It seems like two different ways of reading the same thing. The only difference of just reading it versus doing. And that's then that is of course, a big difference. But again, the main thing that happens regular classrooms. It isn't doing south. It's just listening to or.

"Didn't bother her. So I thought I gotta find out what this is. 'cause nobody could really say what those signals were. So I had produced the return to move album years before with a great producer, William McEwan whose engineer. Bob Edwards was now working for George Lucas. So I called up and I told him what was going on. And I said, Bob, let me send you these signals and see if you can tell me anything, so he analyzed him and looked at him on an oscilloscope, and he said, well, Merle they're actually three signals in that spot. There's a lower signal that's a carrier signal. And then there's something that he felt was a message and then in the higher signal, then he said, there's a signal even higher above that. It's not audible to human ears. And he said that's where the problem is. So I've had other people analyze this. But nobody can really tell exactly what it is. And I was on a radio show up here in San Luis Obispo and a lady we played this. Song and a lady called up and said, well when I was young and in the late forties. I used to go to the beach with my aunt and my mom at night, and they lived in Malibu, and she said, we would see these lights going in and out there. So something has been going on there for a long time. Are they still getting reports of lights to this day Merle? Yes. And people are sending me pictures, George that they're taking with their cell phones. One surfer even sent me a video of stinks. And they're they're not explainable. I can't really tell what it is. But you know, there is some kind of activity, and I was talking to grant Cameron about it. You know, he's a great research. He's one of the best. He wanted to even come out here. With me and take my has video crew down there and just in the van and spend the night and see if we could catch any thing. And I've been so busy. I haven't been able to do it. And, you know, the, weather rain, and rain and rain, rain, rain rain, and I've never felt it this cold here on the California's central coast is this winter, and as you know, Malibu's had a lot of flooding. So maybe closer to summer. We'll go down there. And check that out. I could never understand the Frank Sinatra song lady is a tramp. Where's the he sings that she didn't like California because it was cold? And it's damp, and I kept saying, it's warm and nice. But you're right. It gets cold and damp. Well, I've never in all the years. I lived here. You know, I lived in Hawaii for fifteen years, but my parents lived here. I've never felt it is cold as it. Has been this. You're right. This winter, and you know, you can go to San Francisco and be stuck in the fog there, and it could be kind of cold and damp. I feel the weather is definitely changing while since you moved on to Hawaii. What inspired you to get to that move looking for that continent? Yes. And like I said when I found that book when I was living in Woodland Hills in nineteen sixty nine is when I found that book and. I read it. And I just I connected with it. And so did two of the other guys in the band so much. We said that's the name of our band now MU and United Artists put an album out on us era records in LA put her album out on.
