San Francisco Voters Oust Three School Board Members in Recall Vote

"As you know, parents are rising up to take control of their kids education, or taking back control from the public sector teacher unions from the powers that have been teaching this woke orthodoxy, this radical, sexual education, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and quietly below the radar, there was a recall effort that was launched in San Francisco to recall school board members. Last evening, San Francisco school board members, three of them were ousted in a landslide recall vote landslide. San Francisco has successfully recalled three members of the city school board. I'm reading from the post millennial dot com, after a vote Tuesday, showing that residents of San Francisco were overwhelmingly in favor of removing the progressives from their posts. And the demographic that turned out in large numbers to remove the school board members were Asian American voters. One of the main reasons were they saw the policies of the school board to be anti Asian and their right. Because CRT was starting to be used for admission policies and public comments. For example, Asian Americans were being explicitly discriminated against in admissions to schools across San Francisco. We already know that's been happening in colleges. State senator Melissa Melendez shared the results, which revealed the school board vice president Allison Collins, school board president Gabriela Lopez, and fagua, maliga would all be removed from the school board. With those in favor, compromising over 70% of the vote. So when they were actually put up on a ballot, 70% of the people in the local area wanted these school board members removed. San Francisco mayor London breed. I think she was the one that was in the nightclub where she said she was feeling the energy for not wearing a mask. She said, quote, the voters of this city have delivered a clear message that the school board most focus on the essentials of delivering a well run school system above all else. She has previously slammed the school board for being too concerned with political agendas. This is the same school board. I don't know if it's a specific school board, but it's part of the whole kind of geographic educational complex that wanted to rename the Abraham Lincoln school. Because Abraham Lincoln was a white supremacist.

It is because of the agenda. It is because of who he fights for, And so we are here to say today we fight for Gavin Newsom. Now they want someone to come when they called my 11 and Oakland is experiencing an increased, particularly in gun violence. And that is not the time to shrink your police department. Which is what The City Council dead when they cut those two police academies and froze 50 positions in the department. The police union says the number of officers has dropped below 700. San Francisco School Board member Allison Collins has dropped her $87 million lawsuit against the district and five fellow board members. The move came on the same day that recall supporters submitted signatures to try to oust her from her seat on the board. A federal judge recently dismissed the case, and Collins chose not to fight it. Collins sued in March when board members voted to stripper of committee assignments over tweets she posted in 2016 about Asian Americans..

"We're in Sacramento, Central Valley of California. Beautiful place to live high taxes government in his run amok. Some stuff they keep coming up with their businesses using San Francisco School board. The kids are in school, but they decided to change the names of 44 different school, including Abraham Lincoln. Yes, he was. He wasn't good enough and get the kids back. This is Yeah. This is a good use of your time anyway. Let's let's get back to cause here. The dam's breaking, But let's just make sure the flowers in the parking lot or nice. Yes, good. What it feels like You're right. All right. I'm just trying to get to peddle political. It's I can't help it. Some of the stuff is just so crazy. How can you not? Yeah. You just gotta shake your head. You just shake your head. I would love to have a phenomenal rail system in this country. I've been to Japan Man, It's unlikely got the reality is self driving cars. Will will Be here in 10 15 20 years and it will change the way we travel, you will be able much between New York and Philadelphia. There will be a van. That's a 20 passenger van with a bathroom on it. That leaves New York every 15 minutes to go to Philadelphia. It's gonna happen The Greyhound leave the driving to us. It's a window seat to America. All right, let's uh This is a bit of a Greyhound lately. I used to have two in junior high my kids might make because my parents were divorced. And so they lived about two hours apart from each other, and I have to take the Greyhound bus. Yeah. It was terrifying when you're fifth grade or whatever. There's some freaky people back then, on the Greyhound bus on the ground, I took a great help from Sacramento to Seattle. It left at 11 30 at night when I was a junior in high school. All I could say is, I apologize to all those people sitting around me. All right, let's let's talk with Neil, Neil. You with all worth money matters. Hey, Good morning, gentlemen. Thanks for taking my call. Yeah, Glad to join us. Well, the reason why I'm calling them curious. I've got a vacation rental. That I owe money on. Of course, I've got a mortgage. None of your business piece of race three points. 675 or seven nights amazing compared to today, but it's pretty good when I hold about 1 80 on it and what's the value of the home? About 5 50. Okay, and then he used it as well as his pure rental. I use it periodically, but not much. It's more rental kind of a vacation rental and one of those online things for VR Bor, primarily because you want to use it when you want to use it. You wanna could You think it's a great investment? Well, it's both it's it's been a good investment had for about seven years. Because, uh, but historically they tend not to be is good. Investment is other kind of Reynolds. That's that's correct. You lucked out is the probably appreciation of, But if you're using it for your own, uh, you know pleasure. That's a different story. That's a different story. What? Tell us about your primary residence. What's that worth? And what do you owe on that? What's the interest rate? Um, uh, it's worth about a million And so I'm 56. What do you owe on the home? That's worth a million. Nothing. Okay. Hey, doll. All right. So you knew what do you have in savings? Yeah, I mean, the other words. Do you have 180 grand in cash Cash equivalents somewhere. Um, well, that was a primary reason for the question. Uh, money in my IRAs. Uh, it's about 110. Sitting around sort of in cash. There's stock there. Obviously, I've got a about 75 in stock percent. It's on your money outside of your IRAs. A little bit, Yes. Um not $180,000. No, I don't. So I would have to borrow from the IRA is no surprise. You hammering questions? Should I have invested? It just won't work. First of all, if you let's say you used your I raid If you had $180,000 in Iraq, technically, you could use the fresh as as the mortgage E on a property on Lee, if you had zero personal benefit from which means you couldn't use it, which went all It's not worth the hassle. Here's what I would do. I would call mortgage broker right now, and I would look in your planet owning this thing for a long time. Yeah, they were going to keep it. Okay. We really like it. I would call mortgage broker right now and see what the cost of money would be on a first mortgage on my primary residence. You plan on staying in that house for a while. Yeah, we're gonna stay here. That's what I would do to Yeah, And so my guess is you're going to get sub 30 cost 2%. Yeah, some 3 18 years to their 2%, right right. And so I would move the mortgage off of the vacation rental into my primary residence. And lower the interest rate. Get a 15 years on it, Okay? I hadn't thought about that. It's a good idea that well, thank you. That's the easiest thing to do. And Quite frankly, The cost of money is lower on the primary residence, and it is on a rental property. We might lose the tax deductibility of them. You're still going to be better after the change of costume money? That's right. Okay? Why would you lose you? Because of the way stand. I do. Itemize your deductions. You take a standard deduction. Be itemized. You still Adam? Okay, then? Yeah. They would definitely make sense for you to let me ask you. How do you have any sort of form One k or pension for retirement? Yeah, we've We've got a pension of about, you know, 50. 1000 a year. Approximately. Okay. You got a pension coming in? Because your 41 k balance isn't very long. Yeah, they're IR is not very large. It's sub 200 correct. Well, I mean, total. It? No. If I were to look at all the investments I have every day one can and outside of that. I'm not for will give Ira money We're talking about right around two million. Perfect, beautiful thing. We were just little worried that you were. Yeah, yeah, this.

"L where Washington comes to talk. The Daily caller has the story from San Francisco. Land of Rice, a Roni and lunacy defecating on the sidewalks banning the name's George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln doesn't live up to their standards. Because they're fascists and we live in the age of the Biden junta and authoritarianism. Get into some of that little and travel bans internally, the Biden administration but out of San Francisco today, Gave father of mixed race Children was to wipe for the San Francisco school board. Naturally, I think that's probably Michael Ginsberg With the story A gay father was denied a spot on the San Francisco School Boards Parental Advisory Council due to his race. At the February 9th school board meeting. Seth Brenes L. Was unanimously endorsed by the sitting board members of the Parent Advisory Council, one of the council's four open seats. The advisory council specifically noted that it was lacking representation from LGBT Q plus families. And those with experience with foster youth. He will be responsible for guiding the chambers economic recovery plan. Walton says that he would do whatever is necessary to help the sacramental region recover economically from the pandemic. That is no small task for anyone trying to turn around any economy in this pendant posted. Okay, Thank you. Okay. Next time you're sitting in front of Ah Xue meeting and your eyes are glazing over. Her and you're thinking I can't. I can't do this anymore. I can't like another hour of this meeting. Think of the San Francisco school board. So this was a tweet by Heather Knight. She works for the Chronicle. And she's covering the San Francisco school board, um more than seven hour meeting and they spent most of their time debating whether a gay father of mixed race Children could volunteer for One of several empty seats on a parental advisory group. Why, Why couldn't he volunteer for that problem is that he's white, and he doesn't bring enough diversity to the group. They say. Well, wait a second. He's a gay father of mixed race. Children mixed race Children right, and that's not enough diversity and the group is all women. And because he's white. That's not enough. Diversity is not enough diversity. This is so that was that We already talked about this for seven hours or not all seven hours. But most of that, And then, after seven hours, this reporter's tweeting she she tweeted that portion out, and then she tweeted. They didn't appoint him And now the parent group remains all moms, which means women must do all the work of the group and seven hours after the meeting started, they still aren't talking about how to safely reopen schools, which is what everyone was there for their schools are still closed. Well, they're still close in San Francisco. Not talking about. So next time you have a zoo meeting that you're thinking I can't do this. Just think of not diverse enough. Poor reporter. Not diverse enough. Okay? That's incredible story. Yeah, It's pretty interesting s. So we got political Enniskerry Dietrich, and we're gonna get him on the line here in three minutes when we come back, obviously got to talk about impeachment, and we also want to talk about activists showing up at the homes of elected leaders That's happening more and more. It sure is. We're back in three. Governor Gavin Newsom. Recall effort, Job approval rating among California voters has plummeted here continuing to gather petition signatures. What's next? All effort against him is gaining.

"By the way, I bring you this nugget. Sean. This is from San Francisco. The San Francisco school board. You know, they're the folks who decided to rename 44 schools because they're named with After people with ties to racism or slavery. The arts department. There is not taking the bold move. They've changed. Her name Vap of the EPA on with Akron stands for Because they say, quote acronyms are a symbol of white supremacy culture, you know, like n double A C P S P l c A C l U core BLM, you know symptoms of a white supremacy culture that's almost as rich as that. You know what we saw in the San Francisco Chronicle. There was an op ed on the Bernie Mittens. And the writer of a woman is claiming that this is a sign of white privilege. That you you had burning Bernie on installation day wearing his his mittens and his his over coach to stay warm in a on a cold January. It's a sign of white privilege only. Only white people get to wear mittens like that. And it means all sorts of wonderful names done in there under lots of views. I think I think we posted on our showbiz after white privileges would mean Is that a white privilege thing? I'm not sure. Probably as an acronym. I'm Greg Fishman News. 93.1 KFBK Next update in less than 30 minutes, breaking news the second and have it on Sacramento's new 93.1 kfbk. Good afternoon and welcome aboard. Happy Thursday to you, John McGinnis with your news. 93.1 kid became live everywhere on the I heart radio up. We'll be having a great day and the last thing's going on across the country and right here in the region within the state of California. I'm looking and crunching numbers and looking at the algorithms and trying to figure out exactly what the state of California has used to make determinations as to I C u bed capacity. That's gonna be an interesting way to look at. But I'm not ready for that. Yet. That will be forthcoming and future programs. Um But I do want to talk about something that we have discussed a little bit in the past. But it now has become official, referring to the San Francisco school board, taking a course of action now to reject the name of some 44 San Francisco of school sites. Uh, where schools were named after public officials that At the board. And then the contemporary times find offensive. I think it's very, very interesting to look at the basis upon which they made their decision. So the names of presidents, Conquistadors, authors and even a current U. S senator will and former mayor of San Francisco will be removed from 44 San Francisco school sites. After the city school board voted Tuesday, um and deemed the iconic figures unworthy of the honor. This was interestingly enough, a 61 vote, followed by months of controversy with officials, parents, students and alumni at odds over whether Abraham Lincoln, for example, on George Washington High School's Dianne Feinstein Elementary And dozens of others needed new names with no connection to slavery, oppression, racism or similar criteria. Critics have called the process hastily done with no basis and foundation for the decision with little or no input from historians and a lack of information on the basis for each recommendation. In one instance, that committee didn't know whether Roosevelt Mitchell's middle school was named after Theodore Roosevelt or Franklin Delano Roosevelt. That's kind of an interesting question. One might want to answer before you make a decision to reject it. Are we that alone pick up there? Don't look up there. Sorry about that modern technology. Um So, one of the community member says. I must admit their reasons to support this resolution. But I cannot. This was a community member by the name of Gene Barrish, who said the process had been flawed and based upon emotion rather than expertise. They're these are not decisions, she said. That should be made in haste. School board members, however, as have insisted that renaming is timely and important, given the country's reckoning with the racist past. They have argued that the district is capable of pursuing multiple priorities at the same time, responding to critics who say more pressing issues deserve attention. Yeah, here's here's a novel idea. Why not get to the business of educating the kids? How's that? How's that for a good priority? Um, this'll. These schools are empty their ghost towns. Nobody's end of the school Teachers union won't go to work because of the pandemic. Some schools. Families argued for a name change for years, including those that James Denman middle School named after the first superintendent in the city of the man that people believe was racist and who denied Chinese students of public education. Others argue that current names means students are wearing school sweatshirts with the names of slave owners. Including Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Um, one such board member says it's a message. This told the Chronicle. I should say it's a message to our families, our students and our community. It's not just symbolic. It's a moral message. School board member CA Vine Barges was the loan that no vote, saying that while he didn't agree with all the criteria and recommendations, his vote was largely based on his opposition to naming schools after elected officials, a rule he wanted included as part of the renaming process. The families and staff of the school still have until April to suggest a new name. Which would then be brought back to the board for a vote. Interestingly enough school will not be in session in San Francisco in April, when that when that takes place, so they've neglected their primary function. In fact, when I would argue is their only function. In the course of all this. They're not reopening. The schools are not educating the youth in the city of San Francisco. There's there's Chris criticism of Han Apparel, Sarah the Nipper. I should say Sarah, the after whom an elementary school is named. Hey was of course, they Catholic missionary and also described by many as a brutal colonizer. The rejection is we should not honor him with the name for elementary school. A parent survey showed 80% in favor of changing that particular name. They also asserted that they should be given a chance to come up with their own new name, but I find it very, very interested by the way. The mayor London Breed argued that the effort was ill time given the pandemic and the impact on Children. Especially students of color, and in fact, students are not even in the school, subject to the renaming. Some criticized the board Tuesday for focusing on symbolism rather than Legitimate substance. Um What I found is very interesting that these you look at the list of names and Dianne Feinstein. She's she was the mayor of San Francisco. She is a bit of a trail blazer in her own right. She's not not a doesn't have to be a member of my political party. But she is a I think a person of significance in the city of San Francisco City very profound.

"Ronn Owens. When I heard the San Francisco school board voted to change the names of over a third of the city schools, I realized I couldn't in good conscience. He's my $1 or $5 bills anymore. Washington Lincoln. Yeah, Heights and to think I've been carrying their pictures around in my wallet for years, But then I remembered. I had a $2 bill that I'd saved. Yes, maybe that one's okay. But sadly, I checked and found out it had the portrait of another person to be ashamed of. Thomas Jefferson. Seriously, You know, it must be about something truly ridiculous When I find myself in agreement with former President Trump, the San Francisco School board has made it impossible for the rest of the country not to laugh, snicker or just shake their heads that people have taken one of the greatest cities in the world and turned it into a laughing stock. Here's the background in 2018, the school board voted to create a task force to study the names of district schools. This group then met several times and, in their collective wisdom decided the names of 44 schools should be changed. The rationale was, how can we in good faith name schools for slave owners, colonizers or others connected to genocide, racism or oppression? Of course, the name George Washington comes to mind or Abraham Lincoln and certainly Dianne Feinstein. How could we ever have thought otherwise? You could take the side of the school board by pointing out that respected historian should be listened to Yeah, but none were asked to weigh in on the issue. They weren't invited. Or perhaps you could say there was an inordinate amount of study given to each individual. Yeah, again, But the background that utilized was so slapdash. They didn't know whether Roosevelt Middle School was named after theater or Franklin. Finally, let's throw in another word. Timing. Why are they doing this now? Do they know we're in a pandemic? Has the school board done all it can to make sure kids are getting the best education possible in the absence of in person learning. The board members truly believe that extraordinary high school like Lowell will somehow make it students perform even better with a new name with minority students be better, helped by spending money on renaming their schools or extra tutoring. My Facebook page. I ask Keijo, a 10 Lister's how they feel about the plan to rename so many San Francisco public schools, Jerry says. With all the things the school board could be working on to improve our Children's education, this is what they settled on. Embarrassing, Patricia says. Teach history Learn good or bad. Don't erase it. Marshall says. This is ludicrous. What happened learning history and appreciating it For all, it's good and bad, Ray says. All that money could be better spent. Jason agrees, saying Absolutely, Street improvement, More police But let's waste it on the leading history. Event s. Where do you find 44 names that are not offensive to someone. Elouise notes that in the newly decorated Oval Office President Biden has portrait's of four the people who are being written off FDR, Lincoln, Washington and Daniel Webster. He also has Franklin Jefferson and Hamilton portrait. Tim looks to the future and says So. In a few years when the vegan movement takes hold in the United States, all mediators will be removed from school names. Let's get rid of anything named for M L King because he liked a good steak, ignoring all the good that he did. Scott says, seems like this could have been written by the staff at Fox News to make liberals look dumb. And finally, Rocco says, I went to Mount Diablo, so I guess the devil's okay.
